On this episode of The Tudor Dixon Podcast, Tudor is joined by Kyle Olson to break down the fallout surrounding Graham Platner’s Senate campaign, the growing divide inside the Democratic Party, and what it could mean for the future of American politics.

Tudor and Kyle discuss the battle between the Democratic establishment and the rising socialist wing of the party, including the influence of groups backing progressive candidates across the country. They examine key Senate races, the fight for control of Congress, and how candidates like Abdul El-Sayed, Dan Osborn, and others could shape the direction of the party heading into 2028.

Plus, they react to reports about ICE arrests of illegal immigrant gang members, debate immigration policy, and discuss Governor Gretchen Whitmer’s controversial pardon decision involving an immigrant previously convicted of murder.

Speaker 1 (00:01):
Welcome to the Tutor Dixon Podcast. So we've got all
kinds of explosive stuff today. We have the grand Platinner
story we're going to go over, but grand Platner connects
to another candidate, and also some of the news that's
coming out from DHS about who they're finding in the
country and one governor who has decided to pardon a

(00:24):
pretty radical murderer. So I needed to have my friend
Kyle Olsen with me today because you've broken some of
these stories. I know you broke the story on the governor,
but first we've got to talk about grand Platner. This
is to me a pretty explosive story from the standpoint
of I don't think people really fully understand what happened

(00:46):
in this whole scenario of grand Platner. So to break
down a little bit the grand Platner story, he was
the US Senate candidate in Maine. He I believe that
they initial like there was so much joy around him
because they initially thought that he was like a man's man.
Don't you think that that was like the idea behind

(01:08):
Graham Platner Because the Democrats have been so incapable of
connecting to young men that they were like, Donald Trump
is like this tough guy. We're going to find our
own version of a tough guy, right.

Speaker 2 (01:21):
So in twenty twenty four, Trump won white men, he
won young men, and so the Democrats said, we have
to do something about this. Why don't we recruit white men?
So now they're sort of back to recruiting white men
to run for office.

Speaker 1 (01:38):
But it was kind of weird people that recruit. We
had the video you guys heard the up talking guy
who was so excited about the fact that he had
recruited Graham Platner. And then I think as they got
into this, so Graham Platner takes off, but he's got
this Nazi tattoo, and they start, like the news catches
on to this. But then still the Democrats are okay

(02:01):
with it because they're like, you know what, it was
just like one of those mistakes back in college, and
he got it covered up. He's fine. They're okay with
the Nazi tattoo, which I think we were all stunned by.
I think moderate Democrats were stune by it because if
you notice, this information started dropping before their primary, even
though Janet Mills had already dropped out. I think they

(02:22):
started to freak out and they're like, this guy is
a little bit of a crazy lunatic. He's got this tattoo.
Then all of a sudden it was released that his
wife had told their campaign manager, Well, just so you know, Graham,
I did catch Graham sexting a bunch of women when
we were first married. And that sounds like when we
were first married. Could have been a long time ago,

(02:44):
and he got better, but that was twenty twenty four.
So it's like all piling up, right. Graham's not so
nice of a guy, but they vote for him.

Speaker 2 (02:53):
Yeah, yeah, they did because I think it's because they
hate don Trump so much and they want the Democrats
want to do whatever it is and they will defend
and tolerate and support anyone who will help them accomplish
that mission.

Speaker 1 (03:13):
Well, and we talked about this with Alex Sawyer last
week about what the implications are of the Senate and
so for people who are going big deal, they had
somebody that had to step out of the race. It
is a big deal for Democrats to lose a candidate
like this or to potentially have a bad candidate run,
which I think that's the scenario. They had somebody they

(03:35):
knew couldn't win, so they swallowell bidened, platinered him, this
is the new term, and we have to have three
because they've done it so many times. But they realized
they weren't going to win. The Senate is crucial, and
they're right on the edge of taking control of the Senate.
They believe. I think Democrats believe they'll take the House.

(03:56):
I would contell I say that we have a good
chance of still taking the House back. I still think
that we have the chance of holding the House in
the midterms, but they believe that they will win the
House if they win the Senate. Alex was saying, I mean,
that can be catastrophic if we have to if we
have a Supreme Court nominee, say somebody retires and the

(04:20):
President gets to nominate a new Supreme Court justice, then
that could be catastrophic. But I think that them having
the House and Senate, it's game over for Trump.

Speaker 2 (04:30):
Well, yes, because it will be endless investigations and hearings
and impeachment and then an impeachment trial, and it will
be a total distraction from his America First agenda. And
so the Democrats, I mean, you take Platinir for example.
They want someone. The reason they are so optimistic in

(04:52):
Maine is because you have Susan Collins, who is a
very moderate Republican, but she's up for reelection, and if
they can win that seat, basically, if they can win
that seat, win one more and retain all the seats
that they have, I mean that they are very close,
if not getting a majority, and then, as you said,

(05:13):
then all of those things would happen.

Speaker 1 (05:16):
So Graham Platner is looking bad in the polls. Suddenly
last week he starts to look bad in the polls,
and I think they're seeing the writing on the wall.
We're going to lose this seat. If we lose this seat,
everybody has said, you know, Maine is the way back
to Washington. The way Maine goes is the way the
Senate goes. I mean, Susan Collins is certainly not a

(05:39):
far right person. As you mentioned, she's hard to beat
there because she voted to impeach the president. I mean,
she's hard to beat. So they see this guy going
down in the poles and they pull out a ex
girlfriend who says that she was raped by Graham Platner.
I have to say I've heard some interesting takes on this,
and I think that we have been conditioned, and Democrats,

(06:02):
of course, have been conditioned after the whole Brett Kavanaugh
believe all women situation is that no matter what happens,
it doesn't matter if there are charges. If there's an accusation,
you are guilty. And that's how politics go. It's, you know,
the court of public opinion. They bring out this woman
who accuses him of rape. She's an ext girlfriend. She

(06:24):
says he came over to her house and forced himself
on her. She announces this in the morning, she goes
on Jake Tapper that night. This is well orchestrated.

Speaker 2 (06:34):
Yeah, very convenient, But it's also.

Speaker 1 (06:38):
Concerning because you saw this with Donald Trump where they
pulled out Egene Carroll. I saw a really good breakdown
from somebody on Twitter who said, I can tell you
why this story is not believable. And it was supposed
to have happened at Bergdors and this was across the
street from Trump Tower, and he was like, you have
to understand, this type of department store knows when Donald

(07:03):
Trump walks in the door, they're ready for him. And
I've only been in one of these high end department
stores a couple of times because I'm not their customer.
I mean, I'm not buying anything there, like everything there
the wallets are too expensive for me to purchase. But
you know, when you have walked into these stores, you
get mobbed by people who think they're testing are you rich?

(07:26):
And can you buy things? And they're all on commission,
so you're not getting away from them. They were. The
point this guy was making was the idea that he
would walk in alone is stunning in and of itself.
The idea that he would walk in alone and not
be followed through the store by someone and monitored the
entire time to see how they could help him is

(07:48):
also ridiculous because that store is about customer service and
making sure they get the sale. Then, to top it off,
have him go into the women's lingerie section, not be
followed and be able to push someone into a dressing
room with no staff around, again almost impossible. And to

(08:11):
be the person that he was in New York City
and take that kind of a risk. So that begs
the question, could you potentially every time you dislike a candidate,
have someone come out from the past and say I
was assaulted by this person, and could the court of
public opinion consistently push people out of races. I'm not

(08:34):
defending Graham Plattner. I think the guy is a scumbag.
Everything else would have meant you wouldn't vote for him, right,
everything before the primary, But here we have they voted
for him. And now once again they're going to say,
instead of the state of main voting for him, we're
going to have five hundred people we haven't chosen yet
come out and vote for him.

Speaker 2 (08:53):
Yeah. So think about that. There were almost one hundred
and sixty thousand Maners voted in primary said we want
Grand Platner, and the Democratic Party in Maine is saying,
we don't care. We're throwing him out and we're going
to have a few hundred decide who our next candidate
is going to be. And so then you had you

(09:16):
had Platner trying to negotiate making sure that you know,
basically the next candidate had his blessing, and the party
wasn't going to go for that. And so the establishment
of the Democratic Party has struck again. And it's going
to be really interesting to see how this plays out
and will sort of the Platner DSA socialist wing of

(09:40):
the party. Will they stay home, will they fall in
line behind the next candidate, will they try and teach
the Democratic Party a lesson? Or what's going to happen?

Speaker 1 (09:49):
They already they already endorsed a new candidate the DSA.
Now the DSA, if I have this right, they didn't
endorse Grand Platna, but he was aligned with them. We
are seeing quite a few DSA members coming out and
running us Democrats, So I know there are rumblings of
should the Democratic Party say you have to run as
a different party. You can't, you're not us. And you

(10:12):
heard James Carvel come out and he was like, we
don't agree with these people. He's like, do not run
on our ticket. You are not one of us. Well,
what are the Democrats gonna do? Are they going to
stop this? Because you've got these radical socialists that are
running in their seats. There's nothing we can do about
it on the Republican side because they're not running in

(10:33):
swing seats, they're not running in red seats, they're running
in hard, deep blue seats like these are not seats
we can have an impact on, and people are going
to realize that you've got threats to the country in
the government, in the US government. I mean, we're dealing
with that in Michigan with Abdul. This guy is a socialist,

(10:53):
a radical. I would say he's a communist. He's talking
about the government taking over private businesses, He's talking about
getting rid of the military. I mean, these are radical statements.
But you have a congresswoman out of Chicago who has
recently come and this is someone who's currently a sitting
congresswoman who has come out and said DHS is the

(11:14):
greatest threat to our safety. So you're going beyond some
of these ideas of medicare for all in conversations that
have to be discussed in Congress and ultimately are not
going to get that support to having a group that
is getting big enough to support concepts like medicare for all,

(11:36):
but also talking about getting rid of ice. I mean,
in Abdula's one that he's openly said, I am for
a ballishy nice. I'm sure this woman would say the
same thing. But think about this. She says DHS is
the greatest threat to our safety. That blows my mind
because I think it was just March that Chicago had

(11:58):
that young woman named Greed and Gorman, who had gone
out and texted her mother before she went out this
night and said, my girlfriends and I are going to
go out and see if we can see the northern lights,
because they're telling us, if you go out to the
lake tonight, you can see the northern lights. What a
joy I think about my kids going out and how

(12:19):
many times we've run out to see the northern lights,
and what an exciting time it is. She was shot
in the back by an illegal alien, and this congresswoman
has the nerve to say DHS is the greatest threat
to our safety. But you've just discovered. You just put
out a story on deported news about what exactly DHS

(12:41):
is finding. So I wanted you to share that.

Speaker 2 (12:43):
Well, yeah, Deported dot News published a story that ten
thousand the Ice the Trump administration has arrested its ten
thousandth gang member illegal alien gang member and is in
the process of coorting them. So think about that ten
thousand gang members, and we're talking trend de aar Agua

(13:07):
and you know, Eighteenth Street Gang and all of these
others from from other countries. They're they're not us gangs,
they're you know, and there were the stories I know
you've talked about it before, of the the Chilean gangs
that were, you know, terrorizing people in Southeast Michigan and
breaking into homes in very sophisticated ways. So the Trump

(13:30):
administration ten thousand, they've arrested ten thousand people, And where
is the mainstream media on that right? Where is the
I mean to me, there's that should be a celebration.
And this is so when we saw there was a
there was a report recently that the murder rate in
America is the lowest I think it's ever been. And

(13:53):
is there maybe a correlation here that we're arresting killers
or were deporting killers and rapists and all of these
terrible people and suddenly crime rates are dropping. Could that
be connected?

Speaker 1 (14:05):
But again, but again, if you lose the Senate, if
you lose the House, that can all go away, because
ultimately you're shifting the country. And if you think that
this shift is just happening in certain areas, I want
you to know that this is interconnected. And I don't
think that there is so much interconnection on the Republican side.

(14:27):
And maybe I'm being naive about this, but I am
stunned you had another story on town Hall. I am
stunned by how far and wide this socialist network goes.
And you know, people always say, why aren't Republicans recruiting
better people. I will just tell you my own experience.

(14:47):
No one recruited me to run for office. They probably
many people would tell you no, that definitely we did
not recruit her. But I do think on our side
it's more organic. I think there. I think there are
people who are consistently chosen by the establishment. But for example,

(15:10):
Donald Trump in the Democrat Party would never be elected.
He would have been the Bernie Sanders and and look
Bernie Sanders. They tried to right, but Bernie Sanders had
had the same populist support. And I think like excitement
that a Donald Trump had on the other side, and

(15:31):
the establishment shut him down. They tried on the Republican side.
But the people still have their voice on the Republican side.
But I'm telling you, the recruitment on the Democrat side
is strong. You see it in Arizona with Katie Hobbs

(15:54):
running for Secretary of State, running for governor. Once they
have somebody that gets support. I believe that in the
Senate race in Michigan, it was Mallori mcmarrow, Hailey Stevens,
and Abdul And I think Mallory was a test and
I don't think she's done. You know, Mallory mcmarrow stepped
out of the race because she was pulling badly, but
she went to the DNC convention and she was she

(16:18):
has been lifted up. So I do believe that there's
like this recruitment network. Will you connected something?

Speaker 2 (16:24):
Yeah, So so to what you're saying there, people may
ask where does somebody like Graham Platner come from? Because
if you just if you just read the headlines, if
you just see the posts on social media, he was
sort of a He was a you know, supposedly an
oyster farmer who was just mad about you know, the

(16:45):
billionaires and people ripping off government and the rest of
us having to pay for all of that. But the
reality is he was recruited, and he was recruited. According
to a video that I tained that I wrote about
at town hall dot com, he was recruited by Dan Osborne,

(17:08):
who is a who is himself running for the US
Senate in Nebraska. He's running as an independent, even though
he is I mean, he clearly is as he's a
far left progressive, but he's running as an independent. And
the reason he's doing that is, I mean, I think
the people listening in Nebraska, no, it's a pretty conservative state.

(17:32):
President Trump won Nebraska by double digits I'm sure. I
don't know, but double digits, I'm sure. And so their
thinking is Democrats are thinking the only way that they
can win is if they sort of hoodwink people into
thinking that oh, he's he really is just an independent.
But what we are seeing is that the Democratic establishment

(17:56):
is lining up behind dan Osborne with the goal of
peeling off some Republican votes for Pete rick against Pete Ricketts,
who is the Republican incumbent senator, and and then that's
how dan Osborne would get in. But what we see
from this video is that dan Osborne is responsible for

(18:21):
Graham Platner.

Speaker 1 (18:23):
We have the video, so we're going to play that
for you to listen to. So he has the recruited
bricandics around the rentry to run are doing similar things. Well,
they like, well, there are a few independents, I mean,
there are a few Democrats. This is not really anti publicly,
but so you hope he recruited grim how those he's

(18:44):
reading in he's speak.

Speaker 2 (18:46):
Produced against Collins recruited once the new Rachel auditions.

Speaker 1 (18:56):
After west election, he started to program working class campbits
to run with the others. There is there's a website
i'd talk to and I don't have the name. That's
what's on organ Class Heroes. That's crazy.

Speaker 2 (19:15):
So the so the website is Working Class Heroes dot fund.
You can go and see it for yourself. And he
is listed as the founder of this and and so
he went around the country and uh and and recruited
these far left progressive socialists whatever you want to call them,

(19:38):
candidates to run in Democrat primaries.

Speaker 1 (19:41):
But I mean, what a line sak at pooh. Here's
this guy out in Nebraska running as an independent. That
to me, what a manipulator. He's not, he's he is
recruiting socialists and he's in. And that's what I mean
about this network being having a web that goes across
the entire country. And here this guy acts like he's

(20:02):
a moderate, an independent closer to the right, so that
he can go up against Pete Ricketts and potentially take
a Senate seat. But even if he doesn't get that
Senate seed. Remember, he's got a whole network behind the
scenes of working class heroes that he's going to send
out there that are going what they're I mean, great
name for a socialist organization. Actually they're going to destroy

(20:25):
the working class. But they always they always use them,
They always walk on the backs of the working class
to then destroy them. That's how socialism works. And this
guy is pretending to be a hero himself, and he's
a total.

Speaker 2 (20:38):
Scumbag, right And Dan Osbourne, his wife is named Megan Osbourne.
She is a political consultant. Of course, she's working on
his campaign, and she is connected to there's a whole
sort of network of far left progressive Bernie types. Bernie
is not that I've seen as not directly involved, to

(21:00):
be clear, but it's that that sort of mentality, and
and it's all sort of led by Morris Katz, who.

Speaker 1 (21:08):
Is a little kid. Wait I thought that guy was
a little kid. Is he old?

Speaker 2 (21:15):
Well, he's I don't know how old he is, but
he's not old, probably in his thirties, I don't know.

Speaker 1 (21:21):
Maybe well, I think as a little kid.

Speaker 2 (21:24):
Oh okay, anyway, So he runs a political consulting firm
called Fight Agency, and uh so they're working with a
lot of these They're working with a lot of these candidates,
and and it's not just them, apparently they're working with
Abdul in Michigan, Scharad Brown and and so this this

(21:48):
is really sort of the hive I think of all
of the far left political activity that's going on in
the Democratic Party right now. And and just for additional context,
the prom near example of what Fight Agency is capable
of doing is electing Zori and Mamdani in New York City.

Speaker 1 (22:09):
That but see, this is what I mean. We I
think Republicans are still behind in these tactics. We are
still running that American dream which I want to be that.
I want to be the party that does that. They
are a sophisticated machine getting bad actors to get into
I mean, the reality is, these are not people who

(22:30):
want to serve Americans. These are bad actors who want
to change the country. And these and as young kids.
And guess what, I guarantee you what, he's probably a
rich kid who's getting way richer doing this.

Speaker 2 (22:42):
I'm sure.

Speaker 1 (22:44):
There's also a money machine behind you. Will hear these
candidates say we want to get money out of politics.
We don't want any money involved. I think what some
of them are finding is that that's also impossible because
they're against money. I think Abdul in Michigan is finding
out that his idea of we're going to have all
of these different donations from individuals and go up against

(23:07):
the machine of Haley Stevens is not easy. I mean,
and that's legal, and it's I don't love it, but
you're not going. I think it's almost impossible to write
that ship now. And I hate to say that, but
I also think what's going to happen is there's going
to be some sneaky way that they're actually going to
get money, because we've seen some of these candidates getting

(23:29):
huge donations that make no sense.

Speaker 2 (23:33):
Well, and a lot of them are getting donations from
AC Blue. And last just the other day I saw
that Abdul was number three. I think, yes, forgetting donations
from AC Blue. And of course there's a lot I mean,
we talked about it a couple of weeks ago. There's
a lot of concern that AC Blue is receiving foreign
money and sort of laundering donations and then feeding them

(23:57):
out to the candidates that they want to win. That's
all being investigated and everything, so we'll have to see
how that turns out. But there's serious concerns. And so
a candidate like Abduall who claims he wants to get
money out of politics, is at the same time taking
millions of dollars via agg Blue and seems like it's

(24:18):
a hypocrisy.

Speaker 1 (24:19):
Well, I think that Abdul is an interesting case also
because I do believe that he is a part of
a larger lobbying group to get bad actors into our government. Hey,
he is a well obviously it's been now exposed that
he's a millionaire. He won't file his taxes. He won't
release his tax returns because he doesn't want anybody to

(24:41):
know this. And his excuse was, well, when you file
with your spouse, you have higher income. Yeah, well that
wouldn't matter for a lot of us. Still wouldn't be
that we are worth millions of dollars. You know, his
wife apparently owns land in other countries. That was his excuse.

Speaker 2 (24:57):
That is the biggest thing. Yes, they own she owns
property in foreign countries. He didn't identify the country. He claimed, Oh,
it's difficult to get the tax information. Well, don't you
get that sort of tax information every year?

Speaker 1 (25:15):
And then he was like, and her family does too, Well,
that doesn't affect your taxes, man, So what's the deal?
But he is he has been working the political machine.
He came out of college, out of medical school, became
the director of the department and the health department in
Wayne County, the largest county in Michigan. There is a

(25:36):
community that's backing him, a community that the governor of
Michigan is constantly courting. I will just say, there's this
community of like, how do we bump up the Democrats?
How do we keep them going? And I think where
I think that Abdul is dangerous. I think Whitmer is
a useful idiot. And you have a story on her

(25:56):
this week of her useful idiotness.

Speaker 2 (25:58):
Yeah. So there has been a couple examples around the
country of governors pardoning individuals who are on the list
to be deported. And so Gretchen Whitmer, she pardoned an
Albanian immigrant who was in the nineteen seventies convicted of

(26:21):
second degree murder and so, and the reason that she
pardoned him was that, you know, to expunge his record.
So therefore, there was no legal basis for the Trump
administration to pardon him now to yes to deport him.

Speaker 1 (26:38):
And so.

Speaker 2 (26:40):
You know now, and I think there's lots of debates
about whether or not you know what happens when somebody
that age is deported back to Albania. A country doesn't
know all of that. But the point is she used
her power to try and protect someone who was convicted
of second degree murder.

Speaker 1 (26:58):
And that's the I mean, I get what you're saying,
but there are consequences to murdering someone. I mean, should
there should be bigger consequences than even that you get
to live in the United States. But going to Albania
is not like going to Iran. Albania is not even
a communist country anymore. Albania is a nice country.

Speaker 2 (27:18):
And what sort of message is that to his victim
the family of his victim exactly.

Speaker 1 (27:24):
But that's how stupid. And I mean, we've talked about
suicidal empathy, but this is how stupid this is because
if you're willing to go down that slope, it's a
slippery one. And once you've said okay, I'm gonna I'm
gonna pardon the old man that killed someone, you know,
fifty years ago. Well, then next thing it's gonna be

(27:46):
I'm gonna pardon the young person who killed somebody five
years ago because I don't want them to be deported.
Because the fact of the matter is they don't want
anybody to be deported. But it's beyond that. Whitmer will
do that for the optics of it and not for
the person. Don't ever think that they're doing this for
the person. They're doing it for themselves and their political future.

(28:07):
It's political capitals she's buying. Of course, that to me
is the most disgusting part about this. So as you've
seen us kind of unpack what is going on, you
have a party that is in disarray. But you also
and I know people said, oh, there's a civil war
within the Democrat Party right now, but they're allowing it

(28:30):
and they think that they can keep ratcheting it back
with the bidening and the s wallwelling and the platinering.
At a certain point, socialism gets out of control and
you can't ratchet it back. And the fact that Gretchen
Whitmer there was the fact is she didn't have to
do that. No one would know if she didn't. So
keep that in mind. Yeah, she is utilizing that for

(28:53):
some purpose.

Speaker 2 (28:54):
And all of this is a preview of what's coming
in twenty twenty seven and twenty twenty eight, as as
candidates are announcing presidential campaigns and they're all jocking to
be the Democrat nominee.

Speaker 1 (29:08):
Well, thank you Kyle for being here today to talk
about this. We're going to continue to break this down.
Obviously we're right here on the ground in Michigan, but
we've got these stories that are coming out of Nebraska,
coming out of Maine. We're going to break it down
for you as we go through these midterms. But I
think Kyle makes such a strong point. March of twenty seven,

(29:28):
