I appreciate that, man, I appreciate that. It's much love
always this guy right here, y'all. I'm not advocating this guy.
And I said it back in Austin at the Awards
that I here podcast Awards. Man, Man, I said, I've
always prayed for like a best friend in this space because,
like you know, on social media, everybody has their clicks,
their friend group things.
Speaker 4 (01:27):
Like I never really had that.
Speaker 2 (01:29):
I had like friends you know here and there, but
like this guy right here fell right into my lab
back in I want to say, December of twenty twenty four.
I was already I was already a fan of him.
I was already a fan of him. But then when
we met at under Armor All America, I was like, oh, yeah,
this is my dog right here, this is my dog.
So Man, I just want to say, Lord, I thank
(01:52):
you for bringing me one of my brothers Man and Jeremy.
Thank you for just always being a real one since
the very beginning beginning.
Speaker 4 (01:59):
I can't think of it the better. I can't think
of a better first guest than you, my brother, you
know what I mean.
Speaker 1 (02:05):
I appreciate you man forgetting us together, big dog huge. Absolutely, Yes, Bro,
it was dope that Unarmored event was fired meet and
we've been locked this this day when we call each
other almost about every day.
Speaker 3 (02:19):
Or every day every day.
Speaker 1 (02:21):
Yes, I appreciate you for even having me on here
because this is a big opportunity, so I appreciate it.
Speaker 4 (02:26):
May Man.
Speaker 2 (02:27):
Hey, man, you deserve to be celebrated. That's the motto
of the show Man. You deserve to be praised. You
deserve to be celebrated. You deserve to get right. So
that's why you hear it.
Speaker 4 (02:33):
Dog Man. I appreciate you. I appreciate you. But man,
we got to get into the needy, greedy man.
Speaker 2 (02:38):
So a lot of people, a lot of people know,
a lot of people know you as a young red.
But I feel like we haven't seen the full picture
of Jeremy Barnes.
Speaker 4 (02:46):
You know what I'm saying. From Kansas City, Missouri. You
got the red off for a reason.
Speaker 3 (02:49):
Missouri, Missouri. Yeah, Missouri, Kansas City, Missouri.
Speaker 2 (02:53):
There it's one of Jesus and there's one of Missouri.
Speaker 4 (02:57):
Y'all to go to Kansas. But it's all good, all right, okay.
Speaker 2 (03:02):
JB JV my brother. You gotta take me back, man,
What was life like growing up, you know in Missouri?
Speaker 3 (03:08):
Man?
Speaker 1 (03:09):
You know, I just thought about this because I've been
seeing different stuff on uh stuff on Instagram reels and
algorithms about how people used to, you know, have CD
players and how they used to life has completely changed. Man,
growing up in the Midwest is super It's small. Everybody
knows everybody.
Speaker 3 (03:27):
You know. You get a lot of you get a
lot of you get a lot of love, you get
a lot of hate.
Speaker 1 (03:32):
But you know, for the most part, it's it's a
big community out in this in this area. I know
you from Carolina right north Carolina, Carolina, move down to Florida.
Speaker 2 (03:42):
There's no no beaches or anything like that. The population
is very small. But man, honestly, growing up in Kansas City,
this is a great place to raise a family and
to settle at. Not a great place to party, but.
Speaker 1 (03:56):
A great place to if you like, if you like
going to uh, if you just like you know, just
a small environmental where you can just throw This is
a great place to be.
Speaker 4 (04:05):
So I see you got red on.
Speaker 2 (04:08):
So I have I have to ask were you always
a Chief fan or did that come with the Mahomes era.
Speaker 4 (04:14):
Well, I wish that true.
Speaker 3 (04:16):
There is a video on my Instagram right now.
Speaker 1 (04:20):
A lot of people, okay, a lot of people don't
go to people's profiles.
Speaker 3 (04:24):
Whenever you're dude scrolling, you just see the reels.
Speaker 1 (04:26):
You don't really never go to people's pages and like
scroll on their page. On my page, I put my
reels on the reels tab, pictures on the on the
regular tab. But if you scroll down on my page,
you will see a flag football video of me running
one way, run the other. And I was wearing number
thirty one. And you know why I was wearing number thirty.
Speaker 4 (04:45):
One, m Cause I ain't had no better numbers to
give you please home.
Speaker 3 (04:50):
Oh, exactly exactly. So I've been a Chiefs fan since
day zero.
Speaker 4 (04:57):
Gang, there you go, there you go.
Speaker 1 (05:00):
My dad he's been a season ticket holder for over
twenty five years. I recently just took over two of
the tickets. So whenever you come to Kansas City, you
know where we going. Okay, yeah, man, I've been I've
been a Chiefs fan my entire life. I was there
for every single home game that Patrick mahome. Now, I
(05:24):
ain't gonna lie. We had some rough free from some
rough years, many rough years. Yeah, a lot of rough years.
Emphasis on that. But Trent Green, Alex Smith, Tony Gonzales,
Dwayne Bow, Dante Hall, Charles, you got who else?
Speaker 3 (05:40):
Who else? Eric Berry? You got who else? Derrick Johnson?
You got who else?
Speaker 4 (05:44):
Who else?
Speaker 3 (05:45):
You got, bro, you can come on, I can start naming.
I can start naming now.
Speaker 2 (05:49):
I don't just imagine a bunch of a pause right now,
just imagine a bunch of a clause.
Speaker 4 (05:54):
About the Chiefs.
Speaker 1 (05:55):
We would always get to the playoffs, just enough to
get to the playoffs and either losing a wild wildcard
or yeah, wildcard game, or the first round of the playoffs,
and then in some years we had to buy the
first round and then we would lose that game.
Speaker 3 (06:08):
I'm like, bro, but thank.
Speaker 1 (06:10):
God for Patrick Mahomes, Okay, because he came in and
took us to the promise letting him Andy Reid, Travis Kelsey.
Speaker 4 (06:18):
Tyre.
Speaker 1 (06:21):
And gotta stay first, well not first ring, but witness first.
Speaker 4 (06:25):
First second and third first second.
Speaker 1 (06:28):
Yes, yes, yeah, man, I've been a Chief spent my
whole life. Long story, short, long story, long short.
Speaker 2 (06:34):
Well that as my next question because it's like the
last few years, even in like stadiums like Jaguars Stadium,
at the Stadium, Horrod Stadium, I'm.
Speaker 4 (06:42):
Like, I have never seen this much read in my
life when it comes to the Chiefs.
Speaker 2 (06:47):
But it's like the saying goes, everybody loves the winner,
so that was gonna be my next question, are you
read Kingdom for real? But you pretty much answered that
for me, So I was like, you know what, Jay, hey,
I appreciate that now.
Speaker 1 (06:57):
Now now, whenever you come to Chiefs games again, loudest
stadium in the world. And I was at the game
that we broke the record. It was a Monday night
football game against Tom Brady. Tom Brady has terrorized me
my entire life. Okay, love hate relationship with the guy.
He's great, but don't like Tom Brady. Whenever you're playing
(07:21):
against d Ford. Oh my god. Anyway, anyway you come
to a Chiefs game, the tailgating is none. Is not
like any other place on this world, the Chiefs Kingdom.
Everybody outside is having a good time. Obviously, if you're
from the opposing team, we're gonna give you a hard
time if you're walking past. But you know, you you
(07:42):
walk past, people will offer you drinks, people off your beer.
I've been to you know, other different places. There's no
tailgating atmosphere like Kansas City.
Speaker 4 (07:51):
Hands down, man, I tell you what. Speaking of the Patriots,
there was a.
Speaker 1 (07:54):
Guy all of that and you bring up the Patriots again.
Speaker 3 (07:58):
No, no, no, no, no, but hold on now.
Speaker 1 (08:01):
Instantly thought of something listening because because when my Panthers
played the Patriots last year, there was a guy at
the Chiefs game that looked a lot like me.
Speaker 2 (08:10):
He was British. He was British and they asked her.
They were like, yo, is that clever? And he was like, I'm.
Speaker 4 (08:16):
Sorry who I was.
Speaker 1 (08:18):
I was like, that guy looks that guy looks a
lot like me, and I'm like that might be me'
It was me?
Speaker 4 (08:27):
It was it was playing with him.
Speaker 5 (08:31):
Yeah, man.
Speaker 2 (08:32):
But it's crazy because like Mahomes, I mean from the
time he got drafted, and it's like he's always just
been that guy. And it's crazy because even like on
the draft boards back in twenty eighteen, I had Mahomes
way over.
Speaker 4 (08:45):
Who was second in that draft, mich Trubisky.
Speaker 3 (08:47):
I have no idea.
Speaker 1 (08:48):
If you want to be honest with you, I don't
pay attention to the draft. I don't pay attention to nothing.
I show up to the games and yell. Then we don't.
We don't sit down at the games. There's you go
to places and they sit down. We don't sit down.
We stay in the entire time and Yale when we're
on defense, Matt.
Speaker 2 (09:04):
Now, because that game we went to, which one was that?
That was the Ravens game. And like I could probably
count with my fingers how many times that was a
Ravens game. I probably count on my fingers how many
times we sat down. The only thing I don't like
about Rek Kenn and this is just like the Gator
and me, y'all do that little.
Speaker 6 (09:19):
Stupid yeah, yeah, man.
Speaker 2 (09:34):
I didn't hear not a drop of that nonsense you
just said. I ain't hear a drop of that.
Speaker 3 (09:38):
No favorite thing about it though.
Speaker 7 (09:40):
And the home oh I love that, man, Oh my
goodness that you hear that at the home games.
Speaker 1 (09:51):
You hear that whenever we play against the Raiders, you
hear that whenever we played overseas, you could hear it there.
That lets you know how many Chiefs fans that there
are whenever we travel to different away games. Man, that's
one of my favorite things about about Chies King saying that.
At the end of the national.
Speaker 2 (10:06):
Anthem, Man, I got to give a huge shout out
to my guy Jody. He's actually one of the Chiefs
MC's out there. So Jody Rue is his name. So
Jody used to be an MC for one of the
spots down at Fort Lauderdale during spring break, and he
would go there every single year. But he's like the
official chiefs MC. So I had to give a shout
out to my dog Jody. Man, shout out Jody, wherever
you are. Man, love your dog. Yeah, that's crazy, that's crazy.
Speaker 4 (10:33):
That's my dog. Jody is my dog.
Speaker 3 (10:35):
No, you know what I'm talking about.
Speaker 4 (10:37):
Yeah, baby boy.
Speaker 1 (10:39):
Come on, bro, come on.
Speaker 8 (10:57):
Come on, yeah, come on man, that's man.
Speaker 3 (11:02):
Man.
Speaker 4 (11:02):
It's about to be a crazy segue. But man, we
gotta go into your.
Speaker 3 (11:10):
Man.
Speaker 2 (11:10):
We gotta man, look, Jay b Man, we gotta go
into your athletic background. We gotta go into that because, look, man,
you're a serious athlete.
Speaker 1 (11:19):
And I didn't realize how much bunce you had at first.
I probably should have known because of the track, track
and field background. Now I'm not saying this just because
you know we're best friends and we butters and all that.
You got like real ups.
Speaker 2 (11:30):
Do you ever think you would get, like, you know,
back in the dunking in any way, especially seeing how
it's taking off for guys like we're talking about like
Matt McClung. Now a two times you know G League
MVP three times, lad, do you.
Speaker 4 (11:41):
Think you would ever get back into it.
Speaker 3 (11:44):
Now?
Speaker 1 (11:46):
Now?
Speaker 3 (11:47):
Now it's over?
Speaker 1 (11:48):
Were So I had to medically retire from the track
in college. So my knees, everything from my waist down
is cook ham strings, knees, ankle Shen's all.
Speaker 3 (12:01):
Of that done for.
Speaker 1 (12:02):
But the crazy part about that is I didn't even
start track until my senior year of high school, so
I only did track for really, I only did track
for two months. I trained for triple jump, learned it.
I had to coach Bobby Carter, he's actually out at
Tarleton State right now.
Speaker 3 (12:21):
And then I also had Ramon Sparks.
Speaker 1 (12:22):
They both helped me, learned, teach me triple jump, and
I got second of state, lost by three inches to.
Speaker 4 (12:30):
The oh man.
Speaker 1 (12:33):
Lost by three inches to the man that one state
I think he had won like the past three years.
Speaker 3 (12:38):
I think he won all four years, lost by three inches.
Speaker 1 (12:40):
But then I ended up getting a scholarship from Aval University.
Shout out to my coach Boyer, Anthony Boyer. He saw
me at a track meet.
Speaker 3 (12:48):
Was like, yo, who are you?
Speaker 1 (12:49):
I'm like, who are you? So that he was like,
you know, you want a scholarship. I had done basketball
my entire life. You know, I never really got any
accolades for it. I got niable mentioned you know, as
you know, and got team awards, but never got a
standout of ward on my own. And then once I
realized how much success that I had with track and
how much I had during doing other stuff, I was like,
(13:11):
why not go to track? I mean, why not go
to school for track whenever I'm having this much success
in it in basketball.
Speaker 3 (13:17):
Don't get me wrong, I don't you know.
Speaker 1 (13:18):
I don't put other sports down because at the end
of the day, track is a team sport, but it's
an individual sport as well. I can score fifty points
in basketball and loose. I can jump up. I can
jump fifty feet in track and win, but we still
lose as a team.
Speaker 3 (13:35):
At the meat I can still get individual accolades.
Speaker 1 (13:38):
Now, yeah, I said, you know what, the distance that
I jump, everything that I run or whatever. Never had
to run, Thank Lord, I probably should have. I would
have been a better athlete. But the distance that I
jumped is depending on how hard I work. So I
went to school for track, and then I ended up
going to AVLA for two years after I got to AVLA,
(14:00):
I was the first male All American for the tracks.
Heading there, I have the school record for the long
and triple jump. There have the school record for the
triple jump at my high school that has now closed,
and then I left there went to UCM.
Speaker 4 (14:13):
Wait closed, Yeah, we can talk about that.
Speaker 3 (14:18):
My school, my high school got set down. They closed
and then opened up a new one. So yeah.
Speaker 2 (14:25):
Oh was it like a like a bad historic name
of like a bad historian or something like that.
Speaker 3 (14:29):
No, it just was the enrollment. The enrollment was low. Yeah.
Speaker 1 (14:33):
I graduated with like sixty kids, so yeah, like sixty
to sixty five, sixty seven, I don't know, but it
wasn't that many. So they closed and they opened up
a new school and now they it's still a private
school though.
Speaker 3 (14:45):
So yeah, and graduated from u SEM.
Speaker 4 (14:51):
That's crazy. You did track for too much and then
you just became an All American like that.
Speaker 1 (14:55):
That is like just imagine had I done it like
freshman or like even just growing up going into it,
bro I would that if I have any regret, which
I don't because I believe everything happens for a reason.
Speaker 3 (15:05):
I tell you this all the time.
Speaker 1 (15:07):
But if I could go back and change something, which
again I wouldn't, but if I could go back and
change something, it would be that is to get a
personal trainer and actually train for track.
Speaker 3 (15:15):
And field because I could have been much better. It
could have been way better.
Speaker 4 (15:18):
You should have You should have started try earlier. I
should have started football earlier. It's all good because we're
here now.
Speaker 3 (15:25):
It's all good. Yeah, we ain't worried about that. We
win it now, all right, man?
Speaker 1 (15:30):
So check it out, man, Yeah.
Speaker 3 (15:40):
You were doing so good.
Speaker 1 (15:42):
Come on now.
Speaker 3 (15:46):
You feel me?
Speaker 4 (15:47):
Oh my god?
Speaker 2 (15:52):
Oh man, Well, I guess that's a perfect segue into
the next segment.
Speaker 4 (15:56):
So your content.
Speaker 3 (16:00):
This video today today? You know what, Tom? It is
seven being Friday. You think I'm gonna drop a video
at midnight?
Speaker 1 (16:07):
Will we get a long run question of today?
Speaker 3 (16:11):
Two seconds late?
Speaker 6 (16:12):
Now?
Speaker 3 (16:12):
Oh lord, oh lord.
Speaker 4 (16:19):
He caught me off guard theird, that is for sure.
So mister Barnes aka the Young Red, Yeah, you know
what I'm saying. You've been refereeing for over ten years.
Speaker 3 (16:31):
It's actually it's.
Speaker 1 (16:32):
Actually now it's over thirteen because remember when I started
this was this two years ago, so it was eleven
back then. It's over thirteen. Now, yeah, Tom, it was
fast over man. But you've been doing that man for
over a decade. But you know, you only started creating content,
you know, in twenty twenty four. So I gotta ask
what made you finally take that leap and you know,
(16:54):
put yourself out there, because like the first few videos
I saw of you, I was like, Oh, this guy's
got it.
Speaker 3 (16:59):
Well, this guy.
Speaker 1 (17:00):
It's actually crazy because I've been putting out content for
an extremely long time now. However, nothing really stuck because
it didn't. I feel like it never stuck because the stuff,
the things that I were posting didn't really have substance,
and it didn't I didn't have anything that would grab
people into want to follow me for more. So I
was a really inconsistent poster. I would do things like
(17:22):
dunk videos or draw by dunk challenges or little fake
skits or something like that, you know, and I would
have a video go viral every down then. But the
reason why I started doing these videos is because simply
it's turned into something way better than I could have
ever imagined. But simply because we have a shortage of
referees and I had been in and out a cruise
(17:43):
for like three or four years, went off and did college.
Long story short, went off, did college for one year,
and then came back, and I was like, you know what,
I gained a bunch of knowledge while I was doing
college football.
Speaker 3 (17:54):
Let me let me come back. Now I feel comfortable
enough to mic up.
Speaker 1 (17:58):
I'm I have my wife record, so I can gave
some money on on paying a videographer and then take
all of the money that we were making from refereeing
the videos potentially and then putting that into spreading the
message more so. Once I uh, once I miked myself
up and got out there and started showing people what
we actually do out there on the field versus what
(18:19):
people think goes on.
Speaker 3 (18:22):
I did tackle the player the first video.
Speaker 1 (18:26):
Now, man, you said that was gonna be unfortunately unfortunately. Okay,
I messed up. You're right, I did say I did.
It looks like I tackled him. I didn't actually tackle him.
It looks like I tackled him. I have an angle.
Speaker 9 (18:42):
Okay, forget, forget, Oh my gosh, okay, come on, now,
it looks like the player and my wife got the
perfect angle, the perfect footage, everything.
Speaker 1 (18:54):
And then it went viral and then you know people
just fell in love with me from there because you
know I have an outgoing personality. I'm not there. I
don't think I'm bigger than the program. I always look
up to the other officials. I always let the coaches
know if I miss something that's my bad. If I
see something I don't think it was a foul, I'll
let them know. I tell the players what they can
be doing better to not to. There's so many things
(19:14):
that you can get away with as a player that
people don't realize. Like, we're not out there trying to
throw flags, so take advantage of that. If you can
get away with something, I encourage. It's that's the name
of the game. It's only five six referees and it's
twenty two of y'all. Like, bro, we're not gonna say everything.
So I try to go out there and encourage the
players to try to do what they can to their advantage.
(19:36):
And in any way I can help out, whether that's
refereeing right now, I coach for track, whatever the case
may be. I try to be the difference and help out.
Speaker 5 (19:45):
In any way I can. Hey, VTDNA, but.
Speaker 2 (20:09):
Man, man, I gotta ask you this because you dropped
the video, you know, not too long ago. It was
when this guy, I mean, he knocked this referee like
clean out at a little league game, and you gave
a really really cool and bold like synopsis of what
you thought of that event. And I think the cool
thing about that was everybody got to see like the
personable side of you as a referee, because I feel
(20:31):
like a lot of people just think of you as
a rep that just runs around, you know, makes place
and just kind of like, you know, I guess in
a sense like hopes for the best from time to time.
But I feel like in that moment people got to
see like you as a real the young ref.
Speaker 1 (20:44):
I don't know what's more embarrassing in the fact that
this picture is even real or the fact that there's
people encouraging this type of behavior.
Speaker 3 (20:50):
Somebody said, you can't park there.
Speaker 1 (20:51):
Another person said ref must have been tired because the
game went the overtime, Like, bro, can we be serious
for two seconds please.
Speaker 3 (20:57):
There's a reason why there's a shortage and youth sport.
This isn't one hundred percent, but it's a part of it.
Nobody wants to work.
Speaker 1 (21:04):
They nine to five and then have to potentially deal
with something like this afterwards.
Speaker 2 (21:08):
I gotta ask this, And I'm not even like troggling
when I say this, That's what I am. But but
how much money would you have to make to work
a literally football game?
Speaker 3 (21:26):
Hey, don't you all speak it one I might give
you a real answer. Okay, I'm not gonna troll.
Speaker 1 (21:34):
Honestly, pay me whatever the other referees are getting paid.
Speaker 3 (21:40):
And now it just depends on the situation.
Speaker 1 (21:43):
If it's a part of the schedule, if it's just
like last minute and they want me to do something,
then obviously, you know, if you want me to make
a video out of it.
Speaker 3 (21:52):
That obviously adds to it.
Speaker 1 (21:54):
But if you don't want any video, you just want
me to come out and just be out there. I'm
not worried about it, bro, you know, I think for
I can't even put a name on it.
Speaker 3 (22:03):
But it's anywhere either between.
Speaker 1 (22:05):
For football, I'm assuming it's anywhere between fifty to seventy
five maybe eighty dollars for tackle football.
Speaker 3 (22:13):
For youth games, I'm assuming so anywhere between there. It
is what it is. Now.
Speaker 1 (22:20):
I'm not going to get into it with the parents.
If anything, I'm going to ignore the living daylight out
of them. So I'm not worried about that.
Speaker 4 (22:25):
That's my thing. It's like, how did how did it
even get it? Because that ref was what did he do?
Speaker 3 (22:30):
Like them that mad? At first I thought it was bricks.
At first, I thought it was.
Speaker 1 (22:35):
Broke, no dead serious when I seen the picture, was
going to tag bricks as a joke. But then I
was like, I can't really joke about this because a
referee is knocked out.
Speaker 3 (22:45):
I can't really take that stance on it, you know
what I'm saying.
Speaker 2 (22:48):
I got man, Look, I had a text ready to
send age. I'm like, yo, so like bricks gonna stay around,
but it's bricks.
Speaker 1 (22:58):
But if you look, so the only is not didn't
tag bricksmas because if you look at the picture, you
can clearly see that it's not yeah like on you.
Once you look closer, it's like okay, yeah, yeah, yeah,
that's not bricks.
Speaker 3 (23:09):
But like.
Speaker 2 (23:15):
It kind of it kind of reminded me of that
one clip. It was from like years ago.
Speaker 1 (23:19):
I think it was like a Sixers Like they were
fighting somebody at a Sixers game and this guy ran
on the court and he looked smack dad like Stephen A.
Speaker 2 (23:26):
Smith, and I thought it was Steven A. Smith, and
I was like, oh, that's just a security guard. But
I mean it looked smacked.
Speaker 4 (23:32):
Dad.
Speaker 2 (23:33):
I was like, oh, man, I'm gonna send it to
you after the show. Like, bro, it is, bro it is.
Speaker 1 (23:39):
It is why she was talking about when Stephen A.
Smith went up to Lebron or Lebron went up to
stephen A.
Speaker 3 (23:43):
Smith.
Speaker 2 (23:44):
Hey Man, you're talking about Broun hey Man, Hey, if I.
Speaker 4 (23:49):
Was Steve NX Smith, I'd be like, I'd be like, no.
Speaker 3 (23:51):
Problem, absolutely not.
Speaker 4 (23:57):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (23:58):
Yeah, shoot now now I wish man, I wish they
we just got on the phone call and just hatch
things out, because those two are the goats in the game.
Speaker 3 (24:05):
Bro.
Speaker 2 (24:05):
I mean to keep it a buck no matter how
much people try to, you know, hate on stephen Ate Smith.
Speaker 4 (24:09):
He is the cream of the crop.
Speaker 3 (24:14):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (24:14):
And the thing that sucks about two is like a
lot of people say they have bad experiences with Steven A.
Speaker 4 (24:18):
Smith.
Speaker 2 (24:18):
I've had three phenomenal experiences with steph Nate Smith. I
met him twice at the finals and then no no, no,
once at the finals, once at the National Championship game
last year between Notre Dame and Ohio State, and then
during a Super Bowl week and every time he was.
Speaker 4 (24:32):
Like, what's going on, young bro? Like he was just
so he was so cool.
Speaker 3 (24:38):
He bro.
Speaker 1 (24:40):
One ice cube, one fat square or circle ice cube in.
Speaker 2 (24:47):
He was now he was like, what's going on? And
I'm like, you know what, I rocked, Stephen, that I rocked.
I've always ropped with him, but I was like, okay,
I've had good experiences with us. So man, shout out
Stephen Nate Smith. And we got to get him on
the show, get him on the point. You know what,
we go, Hey, we don't have to wear a suit though,
you know what I mean. We got to be presentable
with me. Hey, man, we gonna have to get him
on the shove some weight. I told you I need
(25:08):
to lose some weights time.
Speaker 1 (25:09):
I'm going need to go shopping again and get some
more clothes, get a little shoe.
Speaker 2 (25:13):
But I got a shoot, man, I got a little
too skinny man, because like there was one point man
a couple of years ago, I was like two eighty dog.
Speaker 4 (25:20):
I was like, yes, bro, Bro, Bro, yes, yes dog.
Speaker 2 (25:26):
So it's like different no no no, no no no
cec you say that, Well, Bro, I'll tell you, because like,
remember when I was living in Jersey for a year,
I would.
Speaker 3 (25:35):
Look like a Pillsbury dough boy.
Speaker 2 (25:39):
Like that's what I felt. My point exactly, my point exactly.
You know what I'm saying. Like it was it was bad, bro.
Like when I was living in when I was living
in when I was living in Jersey, bro, Bro, I
had a New York Pizza Poe Like every week, Well
what are you?
Speaker 4 (25:56):
Yes?
Speaker 3 (25:57):
Bro?
Speaker 4 (25:57):
Bro, I'll never forget this, bro.
Speaker 2 (25:59):
So Like there was this little Creator League thing I
did for House of Highlights back in the day. It
was like this football. It was like football one on
one Bro. I was getting I was out there getting torched.
I was getting cooked. I mean, first of all, they
had me go up against Ross five hundred ypk ray
and I'm like this is already like not ideal. But yeah, man,
that was one of those like embarrassing moments in my career.
(26:21):
That point I was like, yeah, I gotta lose weight.
I gotta lose weight. So I'll never forget the first
day I decided to start running. It was like my
first day back home when I saw two do on
that scale. I started running and I kid you not, man,
you know how sometimes when you run a mile on
the apple watch, it vibrates.
Speaker 4 (26:38):
Well, I didn't. Why didn't you fix the second?
Speaker 3 (26:40):
Well?
Speaker 1 (26:41):
Okay, well, whenever you run half a mile or a
quarter mile or three quarters of a mile or.
Speaker 4 (26:45):
A mile, okay, your watching your Apple watch vibrate. So
I'm running. I think I read a mile. That thing
said quarter mile. Bro. It's bro it' said quarter bro.
Speaker 2 (26:59):
I think I finished that mile that day in like
eleven minutes. That's like the slow yes, bro, the slowest
mile I've ever ran.
Speaker 4 (27:06):
In my life. Now I can run a mile in.
Speaker 2 (27:08):
Like seven okay.
Speaker 4 (27:11):
But like, bro, like when I see eleven, I was like.
Speaker 1 (27:15):
Hey, faith does not make things easy, it makes them possible.
Speaker 4 (27:19):
Possible. Yep, he saw the best. I wish I had
a witness.
Speaker 3 (27:35):
You got issues?
Speaker 8 (27:37):
Hey, whoa, whoa?
Speaker 3 (27:42):
Oh do you want to remember the river? At first,
I was like, where's he going with this? I caught on.
I caught on. I caught on. I caught on.
Speaker 2 (27:53):
Revelation Chapter seven, Versus sixteen and seven. Oh man, man, man,
we're about to fall off. Man, We're about to go
viral man. But speaking of vible, speaking of viral man,
we've seen you do it all. We've seen you jump routes,
outrun players to the end. Zon get recognized MC game.
You better not get caught. Get recognized mcgame people asking
(28:16):
you for pictures, autographs, this, that, and the third. What's
been your favorite moment so far? And don't tell me
it's not when you tackle that player during the stuff?
Speaker 1 (28:24):
Okay, first off, First off, that's up there because because
you know how they say everything is not what it seems,
that is a perfect example.
Speaker 3 (28:36):
But that moment is what said everything off. So that's
up there.
Speaker 1 (28:41):
Whenever I the cannon video when I was at Oak
Grove and they didn't warn us about the cannon.
Speaker 7 (28:46):
Yes, the A team is good to snap by John
Thomas thee.
Speaker 3 (28:54):
That was a genuine reaction. That moment is up there.
Speaker 1 (28:58):
Honestly, dude, There's so many great moments. It's so hard
to like just pick one because there's the matter of
fact that I'm thinking. There's one where I was at
William Christman and the kid recognized me during the game
and he was like are you And I was like no.
Speaker 3 (29:14):
He was like oh. Then I said that's me too,
to uhh, that's not shoot, No, that ain't me. I'm
just playing, bro, that's me. I remember that.
Speaker 1 (29:23):
I remember that players, man, So it's it's Whenever I
first started posting, it was really fire because I think
by week three two or three, people.
Speaker 3 (29:32):
Started recognizing me.
Speaker 1 (29:33):
And then ever since then, I've always had at least
one or two interactions per game. Pre game people walk
up to me and ask for pictures, get interviews, postgame,
parents and whatnot. I even during the game, I had
a kid say, mind you. We're in the middle of
a game. This linebacker, linebacker walks up to me. He goes, hey, ref,
(29:54):
my mom wants you to wave at her. What time
quarterback on Office Blue forty two?
Speaker 3 (30:05):
Hey Rep Ma, I'm gonna want you to way better?
Speaker 7 (30:07):
What what where's yet?
Speaker 3 (30:17):
Hey? Miss Parker?
Speaker 4 (30:20):
Amen? Amen?
Speaker 3 (30:22):
Mind you? My wife is recording. She can Madison can hear.
Speaker 1 (30:25):
My wife's name is matt every no Madison, but everybody
that's watching my wife's same is Madison. She can hear
everything that I'm staying because she has on micro headphones
and is plugged into the camp, so she can hear
everything that's going on.
Speaker 3 (30:37):
So, yeah, I'm not looking, baby, don't don't this ain't
with it. It ain't with it's evening, okay, sure.
Speaker 1 (30:43):
Man, Speaking of Wise, Man, I don't need to tell
you the news, bro, I don't need to tell you
the news the first Yeah, no, you ain't eating local what.
Speaker 3 (30:55):
No, sir, not on my watch.
Speaker 2 (30:59):
No, No, that's first of all, that's quitting, not on
your No, you didn't tell me, man, you and you
would have been one of.
Speaker 4 (31:07):
The persons obviously.
Speaker 1 (31:08):
Man.
Speaker 4 (31:09):
Yeah, I'm no, I'm single, y'all. I'm single, single Pringle.
We work and we grind it.
Speaker 2 (31:13):
Hey, and what they say, the right one will come.
I'm leaving another guy. The right one will come.
Speaker 1 (31:19):
Oh. Man.
Speaker 2 (31:20):
So I feel like this Jay, I feel like for
riff real, this whole episode has just been like another FaceTime.
It's been like a celebration. It's been like it's been
so enjoyable. But one of the models, like I said
earlier in the show, is like I bring people on that.
Speaker 4 (31:34):
I feel deserve to be celebrated.
Speaker 2 (31:36):
Your content, I mean, from day one has just been
top notch. He's been top notch. And I know we
talk about it all the time. You're like, Man, I
ain't got an emotion. Yes you do, bro, Yes you do.
I mean I don't think you bro. No, No, I
really don't think you realize.
Speaker 1 (31:51):
Every time, almost every time I wear this shirt, people
are like, whose brand is that?
Speaker 2 (31:56):
And I'm just like, I have a big smile on
my face. I'm like, that's my dog, Jared Man.
Speaker 3 (32:02):
Why But that's why we did that.
Speaker 1 (32:04):
Shout out to my wife because she's the one that
came up with the idea to do all of this.
We want to be able to reach people because not
everybody's on their phone. Not everybody's gonna see the video.
Who knows who sees that whenever you're wearing it. We
want to be able to reach people outside of the phone.
People that are not saying people don't touch grass, but
we want to reach the people that touch grass and
get outside, you know. So shout out to you for
always wearing it because you wear I think you to
(32:26):
wear almost more than I do.
Speaker 3 (32:28):
So I appreciate you for supporting from Afar.
Speaker 2 (32:32):
You know, it's crazy. Before the show, I was thinking
about wearing the red two. I'm so glad I did it.
We would have been twin hours, you know.
Speaker 3 (32:38):
It's crazy, the most watered black ones.
Speaker 4 (32:41):
And you know what it would have been like, all right, y'all.
We got think one thing too. Here we go.
Speaker 3 (32:47):
Almost, man, I said, put the shirt on.
Speaker 4 (32:50):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (32:51):
I mean so we talk about like businesses and we
talk about brand deals like of course your impact has
clearly grown and it's going to continue to grow. And
I feel like now we're seeing it on the business
right as well. Would be the difference.
Speaker 1 (33:01):
So you've worked with brands like Bombas, Skatorade, shields on
the armors.
Speaker 4 (33:07):
So out of everything you've done so far, yep.
Speaker 9 (33:12):
So problem Wait bro, wait, I love Bombas so much.
Speaker 1 (33:19):
Bro. It sucks because I have to put hashtag add
on everything that I post with them. But I genuinely
love Bombas. They underwear their shirts they say, I love Bombas.
Speaker 2 (33:30):
Hey, Bambas, you gotta give him that light time contract.
Speaker 1 (33:32):
Now, Like bro, whenever I found out about them, when
I started wearing this stuff. Bro, my entire sock drawer
is Bombas. Now they are really that good, Bro.
Speaker 2 (33:45):
Hey, give him a light time contract and Rainds only
taking five percent?
Speaker 7 (33:48):
Now, Hey, they can't take no more.
Speaker 3 (33:57):
Gosh, Bro, that's hilarious.
Speaker 2 (34:00):
But man, it's crazy mad. So you say, shout out
Bamba's mad. But out of everything you've done so far
and I know we talked about this a little before and.
Speaker 4 (34:08):
We were both stumped. But it's my show.
Speaker 3 (34:10):
So this pass for you.
Speaker 4 (34:15):
Okay, okay, for you?
Speaker 2 (34:17):
What would be a dream partnership for you?
Speaker 1 (34:22):
You know, I've been thinking about this for the past
however many years, and I still don't know, unfortunately. So
I kind of related to how my dad would tell
me I need to make goals for the year, and
the way that I make goals has changed over the
(34:43):
past couple of years. The way that I make goals,
I don't have a set like I want to hit
four hundred thousand followers.
Speaker 3 (34:48):
I want to hit this.
Speaker 1 (34:49):
The way that I set goals is just changing who
I am, changing my system and not putting a cap
on myself. And I translate that into this question because
I've already had some of my dream deals and I
didn't even realize it. My friends in high school they
would foam at they would foam at the mouth forgetting
the opportunity to go to under Armor All Americans.
Speaker 3 (35:09):
I would have.
Speaker 1 (35:10):
Never in a million years even thought that I could
go to under Armor All American as a referee, but
I was there and that's how we met. So something
like that those are my Those are like the perfect
like things that I have never even thought about that
I've been putting different different rooms in different situations, doing
deals with greater ray, doing deals with bombas, doing all
like I never even thought that any of this stuff
(35:32):
would happen. So really, I mean all the things that
I've already done, and then the things that are going
to continue to come my way that I don't even realize.
Speaker 3 (35:39):
And even as.
Speaker 1 (35:40):
Far as doing something like this, my best friend has
finally has the opportunity to put his name on a
show and have his own show, and then I'm one of.
Speaker 3 (35:47):
The first couple of episodes doing literally doing.
Speaker 1 (35:49):
Something like this is my dream because I love seeing
people succeed more than I succeed. So even being on
here is a dream, Like, bro, this is fire, Like
do you understand what we're doing now? Bro?
Speaker 4 (36:02):
Man, I mean we're celebrating the young rep.
Speaker 2 (36:04):
That's what we're doing, celebration.
Speaker 1 (36:08):
I'm like, your show, this is your show, this is
your show, your all right, clip the pal damn, this
is what I'm bro. But I'm serious though, Like I
hate that sometimes I come off as there's not a
lot of genuine people in the world. So whenever I
seriously like root for people and cheer for people, I
(36:28):
don't want people to think that it's just like not genuine,
but I genuinely love seeing other people succeed and to
see how hard you work on a daily basis doing
and seeing you get this opportunity. This is literally like
a dream partnership for me is just to be able
to be a.
Speaker 3 (36:42):
Part of it. Like literally, bro.
Speaker 2 (36:43):
Man, I think the biggest thing for me, because I
said this back in March at an event, I was like, man,
this ball is gonna stop bouncing in the in the
creator space for us. So that was my vision for
the show, for this show. If I could be one
of the reasons the ball keeps bouncing for guys, especially
like us.
Speaker 4 (37:01):
Then then I've done my job.
Speaker 2 (37:03):
So my vision after this episode you get about a
smooth like five ten brand new brand deal, queen.
Speaker 4 (37:09):
That's my That's that's what I hope when if you want.
Speaker 1 (37:11):
To, yeah, I got two different film you call it right, one.
Speaker 4 (37:20):
For the blood.
Speaker 3 (37:25):
Hold on, hold on out.
Speaker 4 (37:30):
Skip skip.
Speaker 3 (37:35):
No yeah, man, no, that's fire though.
Speaker 1 (37:36):
But no literally though, like uh, you know, doing stuff
for under armurgers, working with different brands and then hopefully
we can grow our brand to where we can get
back to other creators and different athletes and different people
in different spaces and doing stuff like that. So yeah,
(38:11):
so would be the difference? Like I said earlier, like
I've seen people wear like in malls events. So kind
of going back a little bit, So what was the
real vision? Because you said Madison was the one who
pretty much like helped orchestrate that whole thing, So like
what was the vision behind that? And like where do
you see it going? You know, long term? All right,
so boom and trust me and trust me. We might
(38:32):
have to get the whole iHeart team, and some be
the difference.
Speaker 2 (38:34):
Merch you gotta get a whole inventory to the squad.
Speaker 3 (38:41):
I gotta do ship it. It's right over there.
Speaker 9 (38:46):
Now.
Speaker 1 (38:47):
So so this time it started, so I started doing
the videos and then the whole question I started thinking
about was I don't really do videos outside of football season,
so what are we going to do at the football season?
Speaker 3 (39:00):
In Madison's I was like, how can we continue to
spread the word?
Speaker 1 (39:03):
And then Madison was like, well, let's start selling stuff,
start selling clothes, And I was like, okay, well, what
are we gonna put on it, because I'm not about
to just, you know, just throw anything out there, and
especially cheap stuff. So was she started looking up different
manufacturers for the shirts and everything, and then I started
thinking about stuff to put on the shirt. So I
ain't gonna lie. I did throw it int GPT a
(39:24):
little bit. I put what I so I put it. Look,
you can't just use tech GPT and just go for it.
You have to use a mind to your own. So
I got in there, I typed in what I wanted,
what I was doing, and I put everything in there
and said, can you simplify this into something that would
be fire on the shirt. It gave me a different
rundown different things, and one really stuck out to me.
(39:45):
It said, be the difference, be a ref So I
sent that to Madison. Sent that to Madison, and she
was like, I like that. But and as you know
as well as I know, there are a lot of
things going on in the world that are more.
Speaker 3 (39:59):
Important than just shortage of referees. There's so many more
things that's going on.
Speaker 1 (40:02):
So she said, how about this, how about we just
keep be the difference, take off be the ref so
that it's more universally, you know, people more people can
relate to it.
Speaker 3 (40:11):
So Madison, Yeah, but as you can see, there's different things.
Speaker 1 (40:18):
I even think, uh, at the NCAA tournament that under
the Nike sign they had be the change.
Speaker 3 (40:24):
So I'm like, there's different I didn't even know if
you pete that. I don't know if I sent you
there or not.
Speaker 1 (40:28):
But there's different people out there that already have something
that says be the difference. I said, so how can
we stand out? So then she was like, okay, what
about this? What about we flip it upside down? Like
how you know you got the LA sign flipped upside
down on people's hats.
Speaker 3 (40:42):
There's stuff that go across here that's flipped on people's hats.
So I was like, okay, bet so what we're gonna do?
Speaker 1 (40:46):
So she said, let's keep the D the same and
flip and reverse every other letter, every other letter that's
in difference, and make it into.
Speaker 3 (40:54):
A smile and make it into.
Speaker 1 (40:56):
A smiley face. The B and the are the eyes
the different for instance of mouth. And then on top
of that, I don't know if you've peeped this, but
if you look down while you're wearing the shirt, ref
ref is right there.
Speaker 3 (41:09):
It's R E F.
Speaker 1 (41:11):
So so referee is still in the message, but it's
just hidden.
Speaker 3 (41:15):
So now when people look you probably never even notice it. Jay.
Speaker 2 (41:19):
I'm like, not even trolling, bro, Like I never peep that.
I never peep that, Jay.
Speaker 1 (41:26):
So it's it's the message is still in there, but
it's hidden. So now when people look at you from afar,
they just see a smiley face.
Speaker 3 (41:33):
But when they look up, they're like, what does your
shirt say? Differ? Oh be the difference. I love that.
Speaker 1 (41:39):
So now people are able to relate it to whatever
they needed to relate it to. There's people that have
come up that work with special needs kids that said
if they wish people would treat special needs kids like
regular people because they are regular people. There's people that
you know, referee, which is my reason. There's people that
just wish people would just be a better person in general.
So shout out to my wife because she made that
(42:00):
I had as a referee, and she was like, now
let's make this bigger. So shout out to her because
with that simple tweak and that simple change, we've been
able to reach way more people than just refereeing.
Speaker 2 (42:10):
I hope you know, I'm gonna think about this the
rest of the night, and I hope you know that
ref yep, but like that's there. But man, you said
it in the beginning, how you were talking about like
things to do outside being a ref. So one thing
I've noticed, it's a lot of creators, not just us,
but I feel like a lot of creators they get
boxed into, you know, this one lane, whether it be
(42:30):
you know, skits, you know obviously you know, you being
a ref, and I feel like sometimes stepping outside of
that comfort zone can feel risky. Sometimes it can even
lead to you know, career suicide at sometimes. But I
feel like with you, one thing I like about you
is that you go into a whole bunch of different spectrums,
from twitch streams to real time reactions, game of tennis
is analysis, and nowadays I feel like your contents are
(42:52):
more personal and you're using the mic now, so hey,
I gotta give you kudos, my boy.
Speaker 4 (42:56):
I got to give you kudos.
Speaker 3 (42:59):
You know, you know, you got to stay ready, so
you ain't got to get ready, you know.
Speaker 4 (43:05):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (43:06):
So I just feel like as we you know, continue
to you know, to grow in this space, do you
see yourself eventually going all in on content full time?
Speaker 4 (43:14):
Is that the vision is that the dream er.
Speaker 1 (43:16):
Well, you know, at first, if you would have asked
me that, I would have said absolutely not, because I
know that content can really end at any time. I
know we had a scare air with TikTok for a second.
I do have it. I do have a full time job.
I work for a striker medical and I fixed the
stretchers on the back of the ambulance, the parallel systems
(43:37):
that load the stretchers onto the back of the ambulance,
hospital beds and stretchers in the er. So I do
have a full time job that I work throughout nine
to five every day, and then on the afterwards outside
of that is when.
Speaker 3 (43:50):
I edit my videos.
Speaker 1 (43:52):
If it got to the point to where I was
making enough money to do that, and it would have
to be for a couple of years, or if I could,
if I could, you know, sustain that to where I
had some long term stuff going on, then potentially, but
as of right now, I have or also if I
was single, but I'm not, so I have a wife.
(44:14):
I have a wife, yes, sir, don't Probably I have
a wife and we want to start a family soon.
So I also have to keep in mind that my
decisions affect the people around me, not just myself. So
if it made sense, then yes, But as of right now,
I'm trying to do what I can just to continue
to push the message and if it happens, it happens.
I'm not saying no, absolutely not, but I'm able to
(44:37):
manage both right now. And it's nice having benefits and
being able to do content at the same time.
Speaker 3 (44:43):
So yeah, I'm.
Speaker 2 (44:45):
Gonna I'm gonna manifest it right now and a year
or so from now, you're gonna do full.
Speaker 4 (44:49):
Time that we're gonna do. We're gonna do content now.
Speaker 3 (44:52):
That would be fine. Now, that would be fire.
Speaker 1 (44:54):
I would definitely be able to produce better content because
I would be able to maintain all of my attention
towards it. That would be a dream come true. But
you know, I just got to keep working until I'm
able to get to that point.
Speaker 4 (45:06):
Man, that's amazing.
Speaker 2 (45:07):
So you're balancing nine to five, being a referee, a personality,
a husband, a businessman.
Speaker 4 (45:12):
So coach, what challenge?
Speaker 2 (45:14):
Yeah, so track track, So what challenges have come with that,
like with that growth and how have you been able
to handle it.
Speaker 1 (45:23):
Well, you know a lot of different challenges that I
didn't think would come about it. So, just like relationship challenges,
I would come home and then I would you know,
I would either be thinking about different content or I'll
be editing.
Speaker 3 (45:38):
So I wasn't really spending a lot of time with
my wife.
Speaker 1 (45:40):
Now she comes out and records most of the stuff
for the game days. But I also had to find
that balance of Okay, yes, whenever I get home from work,
get my work, my paperwork done. I'm done with that.
Now let me go on to the next thing. Okay,
let me plan out some content and now I'm done
with that. Now let me spend time with my wife. Okay,
(46:00):
we're done with that. Week she goes and reads, I
do something else. It sounds crazy.
Speaker 3 (46:05):
It sounds crazy to say we're done with that. No no,
no no no no no no no no.
Speaker 1 (46:09):
We spend our time together, whether that's eat dinner, have
our conversation, talk about how our days went, watch a
show or whatever.
Speaker 3 (46:16):
Okay, now I'm going to go into the computer room.
You go into the bedroom. She's gonna go read.
Speaker 1 (46:21):
I'm gonna go do my stuff. So just having that
set schedule and being able to do that. That was
a challenge at first because I thought that I was just,
you know, go go go. But I had to sit
down and us I have to really realize that I didn't
just sit down and take a break sometimes because I
would stay up till three or four in the morning
and then wake back up and go right to work.
So just being able to balance everything and making time
(46:45):
for myself and my physical health.
Speaker 3 (46:48):
Was really the big challenge.
Speaker 1 (46:49):
But now I have able to balance that a lot
more since I've got promoted at my job and I'm
able to make my own schedule for the most part,
just just just doing that, what's the biggest challenge?
Speaker 2 (47:01):
Man, Look at my dog overcoming it all. Man, that's
put the smile on my face. That puts a smile
on my face.
Speaker 1 (47:06):
Off.
Speaker 3 (47:06):
Man, it ain't easy.
Speaker 4 (47:08):
I know, I know, brother, Man, Man that just wants
the hart.
Speaker 3 (47:12):
Thank you, thank you. I appreciate that.
Speaker 2 (47:13):
But man, brother, I gotta tell you, man, Look, we
got the NFL Draft coming up, we got rooking minicamps.
Speaker 3 (47:20):
You know, the season will be here before you know it.
Speaker 2 (47:22):
So what can the people expect from the young rep
heading in the fall twenty twenty six, the same thing.
Speaker 1 (47:29):
I mean, I'm gonna be I'm gonna be out there refereeing.
Speaker 3 (47:35):
I'm gonna be the back judge. I'm gonna be running.
Speaker 1 (47:38):
I'm gonna hopefully have some more interactions this season. You know,
it's crazy. The first year was fine, the second year
was cool. But like now, it's starting to get more
and more attraction, which is really weird because I thought that,
you know, I thought that things would die down by now,
but not gonna go it.
Speaker 3 (47:55):
I would. You can expect to see the same me. Man.
Speaker 1 (47:59):
I'm not going to change. I don't care how many
followers i'll have. I don't care how many brand deals
I'll get. I'm still gonna be the same me out there.
Kids come up and ask for pictures all the time. Look, man,
if y'all want to come up and ask for pictures.
Speaker 3 (48:10):
Don't be afraid. I don't bite. Okay.
Speaker 1 (48:12):
So I'm gonna be out there just making the content
like I normally do and trying to continue to be
the difference now. Like I said, I thought that the
content would die down by now. But the good thing
about refereeing is, you well, we don't get to pick
our schedule, but the good thing about it is we
really don't do a lot of the same schools all
the time, so whenever I'm doing new videos, it's at
new schools, So it's new reactions, it's new people on
(48:34):
the video, and I'm able to showcase the talent that
we have here and able to, you know, just make
somebody's day just by simply because people like seeing themselves
on the phone and if you know, the right interaction happens.
And I ended up posting it. So just that's what
you're gonna see. It is more content, the same stuff.
Speaker 4 (48:49):
And more tackling players in a fight.
Speaker 3 (48:51):
Ye no, no, no, no, no no.
Speaker 1 (48:55):
I you know what's actually crazy about that that instance, So.
Speaker 3 (49:02):
I'm not gonna say that.
Speaker 1 (49:03):
But I actually got written up for that. So so
I don't know who, but somebody wrote a letter to
the state saying that I was recording that one. Yeah, somebody.
It's always one person to mess up something. Somebody wrote
a letter to the state saying that I was recording
(49:24):
video and audio and posted it on social media. I
didn't have permission to do it that game, and thankfully
nobody got hurt, but they reached out to the state.
The state reached out to me. We talked, and then
I started changing how I started approaching things, and then
I was able to move forward from there. But yeah,
somebody actually written me up for that for that instance.
Speaker 4 (49:46):
Leave it to one to always ruin the fun.
Speaker 2 (49:48):
I feel like I feel like the same thing happened
with like Aja and D there's always that one athletic
director that just like spoils the fun.
Speaker 4 (49:54):
It's like, alway, we literally got we literally have.
Speaker 2 (49:57):
Credentials on our next it's like you didn't go through me,
and I'm like, gang, we have credentials.
Speaker 4 (50:02):
Like, what do you want us to do?
Speaker 3 (50:03):
We did you think we sole high school? Yeah?
Speaker 2 (50:06):
Right, like you think, I'm like you you think us
as girl men would steal our high school? Well, actually yeah,
some whirls might do that, But like, do you think.
Speaker 3 (50:15):
We're about to say say some people would this? Crazy?
People out here on deserve crazy?
Speaker 2 (50:20):
Hey man, I'm casting Bitch of Sycamore ah mynd hey
hey remember that wrap that guy did b h oh second.
Speaker 1 (50:28):

and they was getting waxed and they was getting watched
by I MG, do you want an NFL factory.
Speaker 3 (50:39):
It's the shame.
Speaker 2 (50:40):
Yeah, man, No, that's that is a shame. But I
tell you it's not a shame.
Speaker 1 (50:44):
Dog.
Speaker 2 (50:45):
You being my best friend, you being my brother, and
you coming on this show man, So Jeremy my brother.
Speaker 4 (50:50):

s on TikTok. Well, you can find me on Instagram
at Jeremy Barnes j E r E m I b
a r n e s. Everywhere else is the young ref.
(51:48):
I think the only one that isn't is my snapchat.
Snapchat is the same as the Instagram. But shout out
to my brother Man, my brother, He's actually why where
I got the name the Young ref from. So I
looked up to my brother a lot growing up and
him and my dad used to referee and my brother
was always the youngest official everywhere he went.
Speaker 3 (52:06):
Well, he ended up going on and getting a new jo.
Speaker 1 (52:08):
It was his it was his PlayStation handle, it was everything,
and he ended up growing up not growing up, going
and getting a job, career job, and he couldn't referee
as much, so he kind of put it to the side.
So me being me, I took his name and ran
with it. So that's where I got my name from.
So that also gives me a boost of motivation knowing
that I'm doing it for him as well. So shout
(52:28):
out to my brother for you know, foundation in the
Young Rush. So I've been able to take his.
Speaker 5 (52:32):
