Speaker 1 (00:15):
What's up, guys?

Speaker 2 (00:16):
How are you welcome into a Monday morning episode of
the Daily Juice podcast with me Matt Perraultz. You guys
can follow me across all of my socials at Sports
Talk Matt. If you guys are listening to the podcast,
this won't sound all that different. If you're watching the podcast,
you know that I am not in my studio because
I've gotten home. It is currently twelve thirty Pacific time.
That would be three thirty Eastern time. I am on

(00:39):
fumes like you would not believe at the moment. Our
flight got delayed, our bags took forever. It just it
was a long day of travel today for my daughter
and I, so my brain is not functioning all that well.
I do have one bet for us here today and
I have two NBA player props, and I might add
more as the day progresses, So stay tuned. We will

(01:04):
jump in with some hockey, potentially some NBA but there
there'll be two NBA player props which will be appearing
on the Betting Pros app before the game's tip off
later on tonight. But when I do not know, it's
going to be a brutal day to get back on
West Coast time, after eight days on East Coast time

(01:24):
and well, a really rough travel day yesterday. The good
news is that Sunday went really well and we wound
up up four units Cowboys over Saints, first half under,
Cowboys first half over the hard rock bet of the
day improved to ten and six with our four leg
money line parlay, and the teaser came in with the

(01:45):
Saints and the Steelers, so we got that right up
four units for us on Sunday. So I'll do the
accounting for the last week tomorrow. I don't know what
we did, to be honest, No, I can't remember what
last week was like. I can't even remember remember what
five minutes ago is like. But we hopefully, I think
maybe had a winning week. But the NFL continues to

(02:07):
be very good for us. We've had a very good
year in the NFL, and we get to Week eighteen
and now head to the wild card weekend this coming
Saturday and Sunday and Monday for that matter. Now I
will do a full recap. I'll do a full inventory
as to what exactly we did for the NFL. There's

(02:27):
a lot of prop bets like we missed yesterday. I
never got out of the bet for Tampa. There never
was a chance. It's so dumb too, because Tampa wins,
and because of a dumb tie breaker situation, three teams
go eight and three and Tampa doesn't wind up winning
the division.

Speaker 1 (02:46):
The Panthers do.

Speaker 2 (02:48):
So that's just screwy and sports betting and sports in general.
So that was really kind of a bad break. I
never was able to hedge. The Falcons led the entire game,
so I'll go down. We lost a unit there. I
lost more than that. But the benefit is I was
able to hedge off of other things, and I placed

(03:08):
a bunch of bets yesterday and I was all over
the place yesterday. I did very well yesterday, so I
made up for the Tampa Bay loss. It's stung to
have that go down after holding on to it, and
then Tampa wins.

Speaker 1 (03:20):
We never got out of that bet. They win the game, and.

Speaker 2 (03:23):
Then because of stupid tie breakers and the Saints couldn't
get it done, they lose by two.

Speaker 1 (03:27):
So the teaser hits, but they don't win the game.

Speaker 2 (03:30):
So the Falcons win, and it meant nothing for the
Falcons because they turned around and fired Raheem Morris right
after the game. So like, it was just that was
a frustrating season with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and all
the injuries that they suffered and everything else. It is
a little bit of a warning sign, I think for
the Patriots next year because of how much injury luck

(03:52):
Tampa Bay had last year. It all kind of came
back unfortunately on them here this year and they had
so many injuries to Mike Evans and Baker Mayfield and
everyone else.

Speaker 1 (04:02):
So they are out. The Panthers are in.

Speaker 2 (04:05):
They get rewarded with the Rams, and they are currently
ten and a half point underdogs at home to the Rams.
They are the largest home underdog in the history of
the NFL playoffs. Yeah, there are some crap teams in
the NFL. Great game between the Steelers in the Ravens.
Both those teams suck, excuse my language, but they do Okay,

(04:26):
both of them are awful. So like, I don't care.
The Ravens are in and the Steelers are in and
the Ravens are out. It doesn't matter. Neither one of
them are going far in the postseason. Neither one I
believe will win a game for that matter, in the playoffs.
Mike Tomlin streak of not winning playoff games will continue
this season because I do think he loses next weekend

(04:46):
at home to the Houston Texans. But it's just one
of those like very funky years with some really bad
teams have made the playoffs, headlined by the Panthers, who
are a bad football team, and the Rams are going
to smoke next week in the postseason, in particular of
Davante Adams is back. Yeah, that's I cannot wait to

(05:07):
see where that number closes. Eleven, twelve, thirteen, fourteen. It's
gonna go sky high. So two NBA player props to
give you, guys. I do have one bet to give you,
but before we do that, let me tell you about
our friends at hard Rock Bet. Hard Rock Bet the
presenting sponsor of the Daily Juice podcast, but they are
also the official sports book partner of the Jags the Bucks.

(05:30):
Jags are in the playoffs, Bucks are not Heat Magic,
and the Panthers playoffs will kick off this weekend. We
got a ton of cool things to get into. You
can same game parlay, you can bet in game. A
bunch of cool things happening at hard Rock Bet this
coming weekend, but leading up to it, don't forget about
all the basketball and hockey that you've got available to
you to jump in At hard Rock Bet.

Speaker 1 (05:52):
You could do player props as well.

They still have the offer of five dollars bet if
it hits you get the winnings plus one hundred and
fifty bucks in bonus bets. Hard Rock Bet is the

(06:18):
Coming up here for today, let's talk about the biggest
game in college basketball, and that is Nebraska on the
road at Ohio State. This is a crazy game because
Nebraska is maybe the number one surprise team in college
basketball and the Creighton Blue Jays our drival the Nebraska Cornhoskers.
I don't think anybody saw fourteen and oh coming for

(06:40):
Fred Hoiberg's team. They are three to oho in the
Big Ten. They have won every game they've played this year,
and yet they have started to leak oil a little bit,
or at least get pushed a little bit.

Speaker 1 (06:51):
They won by.

Speaker 2 (06:52):
Three on the road against Illinois. They won by two
at home against Michigan State fifty eight to fifty six,
the last game. Ohio State won their last two games
against Rutgers and Grambling. They lost by one to North Carolina.
They beat West Virginia. They lost to Illinois eighty eight
to eighty, the same team that Nebraska beat, but the

(07:14):
number in this game being two and a half. I
think it tells me something when you have a home
team in Ohio State who are ten and three.

Speaker 1 (07:22):
They are ten and three overall. They're seven and one
at home.

Speaker 2 (07:25):
Their only home loss came against Illinois back on the
ninth of December. I think you can say, all right,
the books are kind of telling us something here about Nebraska.
An undefeated team on the road as a dog against
Ohio State in the Big Ten.

Speaker 1 (07:43):
It's just time, okay.

Speaker 2 (07:45):
I think it is time for Nebraska to lose their
first game of the year.

Speaker 1 (07:49):
I think this could be a high scoring game.

Speaker 2 (07:51):
I don't mind to play on the over here on this,
but this is just one of those fade the undefeated
road team and go ahead and take a team. It's
very good offensively, and a team that is going to
ride the home crowd, and a team that has the
book's attention. And when you see a number where the
team's undefeated and yet they are dogs on the road,

(08:13):
I tend to pay attention. Nebraska is only twenty second
for ken Pom, and this is a one point loss
for ken Pom, and we're going to lay two and
a half, so we're right there. It's not that big
of a swing. And this is a tough stretch of
the schedule for Nebraska and a good chance for Ohio
State with a very efficient offense. They're twenty third in

(08:34):
adjusted efficiency on offense this year. They are seventeenth for
effective field goal percentage this season. They don't shoot the
three very well, but they shoot their twos incredibly well.
Sixty two point two percent on two point shots is
seven best in the country. And they hit their free throws,
which is so important. Nebraska does not. The Huskers are

(08:54):
two hundred and thirty eighth in free throw percentage while
Ohio State is hitting at seventy nine point one percent.
That's tremendous for them. So to me, I think you
take a look at what Ohio State's got offensively, a
fishing offense hit their free throws, and a team for
Nebraska that I think it's time for them to wind

(09:15):
up getting an L. I'll lay it with Ohio State
buck guys minus two and a half at home against Nebraska.

Speaker 1 (09:23):
So for the show today for the picks.

Speaker 2 (09:25):
Ohio State minus two and a half and then two
NBA player props coming up later on today on the
Disco on the Betting pros app go and search at
Sports Talk Matt on the Betting pros app. If you
want to hear me recap everything, you can do so.

the NFL weekend that just happened. In our first look
at the bracket for the NFL, we'll also take a
look at the college football playoff games that took place
over the break, in which we now have four teams left,
none of which anyone thought this was going to be
the final four for college football.

Speaker 1 (10:15):
So we'll do all that.

Speaker 2 (10:16):
