Speaker 1 (00:15):
What's up, guys?

Speaker 2 (00:16):
How are you welcome into a Thursday morning episode of
the Daily Juice podcast.

Speaker 1 (00:19):
My name is Matt Parolt.

Speaker 2 (00:20):
You guys can follow me across all of my socials
at Sports Talk Matt, and welcome to Fadeville. If you
have not been fading me, you should be fading me.
If you're not, you should be doing exactly what I
did last night, which is you got a live bet
back to back nights.

Speaker 1 (00:39):
It is.

Speaker 2 (00:41):
Sports gambling is a mental test. That's all I have
to say about what happened last night the Richmond game.
Thank god there's live betting. So right around the three
minute mark, Richmond's up by about three points. They're three
and a half point favorites. I went ahead and bet
we had laid two and a half. I tried to
create my own middle, thinking maybe Richmond would win by

(01:02):
three and you or I would wind up, you know
somehow helping us out. Well, I bet plus three and
a half. It didn't middle, but it covered the bet.
So I went two and two last night. Officially we
wind up going one and two. But I'm on the
Discord channel all the time, and I said, hey, if
you can get out of this bet three and a
half because I did not want another melt, and it

(01:23):
was another melt. So the hard rock bet now drops
to twelve and nine. We go down one point three units.
We just continue this slide from Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday.
It's just been this really ridiculous run. So you should
be fading my place, like one hundred percent. You should
be fading my place until further notice, until we come

(01:45):
out of this. And we will come out of it. Okay,
it'll happen, but we'll get on a hot streak. But
right now we've started off twenty twenty six pretty cold,
down for the month, down for the year, obviously because
it's the first month of the year. But look, we're
here every day. We are always transparent. I will sit here,
I will take the heat, I'll take the hat, I
get the DMS. Whatever you guys want to write in

(02:06):
the comments section, I'm here to take it. I understand
this is part of the game. This is part of
the deal. And you know, when the picks are bad,
the picts are bad, and the pics have been bad
here for a couple of weeks now, and I am
today going to try to go back to some of
my basics. I think with blocking and tackling. It's kind
of how I mentally get past this is like, just

(02:29):
get back to what you're used to doing, what you've
done in the past. I hit a two leg money
line parlay last night the Creighton Blue Jays. I mean,
this is how crazy the jay should have lost that game.
I don't know if you watched it or not, but
they were laying seven points. I was way too heavy
against Xavier. They need a miracle at the end of
that game to get a bucket to win by one.

(02:49):
And I was just like, this is just the way
things are right now, Like the margins are so narrow
or so thin for the games I'm betting that.

Speaker 1 (02:57):
You know, we're talking about coin flips.

Speaker 2 (02:59):
So I do have a two leg moneyline college basketball
parlay to give you guys that I like, because I
don't want only the points I'd like on both sides.
There are games that may not be on your easily
found television, but we're going to get into some America
East basketball here tonight.

Speaker 1 (03:15):
For college basketball.

Speaker 2 (03:16):
I have an NBA play and I have an NHL
played to give you guys coming up for tonight. Before
we do that. Let me tell about our friends at
hard Rock Bet. If you're in Florida, you guys know
about hard Rock Bet. You know what they present to
you guys. They are the only sportsbook that's legal in

Speaker 3 (04:14):

the Seminal Tribe of Florida and Florida offered by the
Seminal hard Rock Digital LLC in other states must be
twenty one plus in physically present in Arizona, Colorado, Florida, Illinois, Indiana, Michigan,
New Jersey, Ohio, Tennessee, or Virginia. Play terms of conditions apply.
Concerned about gambling in Florida call one eight three three
play wise. In Indiana, if you are someone you know
as a gambling problem wants help, called one eight hundred

(04:36):
and nine with it. Gambling problem called one hundred gambler.
In Arizona, Colorado, Illinois, Michigan, New Jersey, Ohio, Tennessee, Virginia.

Speaker 2 (04:42):
All right, let's talk about two games in the Murica.
East Vermont is playing at UMass Lowell. Now I've told
the story before, but my dad lives in Burlington.

Speaker 1 (04:56):
Are around there.

Speaker 2 (04:58):
I signed U mass Lowell to the radio station that
I was running in Manchester in Nashville and New Hampshire
when they went D one. The first radio station to
ever carry UMass Lowell Athletics for men's basketball and Pat
Dukett's team was the radio station that I was running.
Now that was a while ago. Pat Duket's been there

(05:18):
for quite a long time. But U mass Lowell is
off to a really rough start this year, and Vermont
has won seven consecutive games up against UMass Lowell, including
last year's America East Championship game. There's just a lot.
The number opened at three and a half. It's been
bet to four and a half. I'm not in love
with laying that many points. But I'm also not taking

(05:39):
UMass Lowell here because I don't think you Mass Lowell
is very good this year.

Speaker 1 (05:43):
The numbers are pretty bad. Like if you look at.

Speaker 2 (05:46):
Kenpom, Kenpom has it as a three point win for Vermont,
and they've played some road games this year, and they
haven't been great with some of their road games this year.
So I'm just not really interested in laying the points here.
But I like Vermont to win the game. So I
gotta find a dance partner for who I'm gonna bet

(06:06):
with Vermont, And I want to go and look at Albany.

Speaker 1 (06:09):
Sorry, look at UMBC. I was looking at Albany, But
look at.

Speaker 2 (06:12):
UMBC, who's at home against njiit New Jersey Institute of Technology.
So Njiit is nine to eleven on the year. Overall,
they're four and eight straight up. UMBC has won six
of their eight games at home, the three and one
in conference, ten and seven overall. If you look at

(06:33):
it from a point spread perspective, New Jersey NJIT has
been pretty decent. Okay, they've been seven and five ats,
while UMBC has only been one in five. So there's
a little bit of a concern there when you start
looking at where we are here. But the number UNBC

(06:53):
is laying eight and a half points in this game. Okay,
they've been hot. They beat Bingington by eight points. They
did lose to Bryant on the road, but they beat
un h they beat Maine, they beat Coppin State, they
lost by twenty five to South Florida, and they've played
a pretty good schedule. I mean, UNBC has played some
decent teams. They played Georgetown, they lost badly. They played Bucknell,

(07:17):
they beat them. They lost by nine to Georgetown, they
played them tough. Nngit has been you know. They beat
UMass Lowell by nine, they beat lost to Maine by four,
they beat New Hampshire by four, they beat Bingington by eight,
Briant by twenty four. But they're on the road here
where they haven't been great, and they're pretty big dogs.
I'm not interested in laying the eight and a half

(07:38):
points here with UMBC. So we're gonna go moneyline, money line,
money line, Vermont money line UMBC here in America East action,
and that number comes out to minus one sixteen. As
I said, blocking and tackling, Okay, two leg moneyline parlay
should probably play pay us plus money, but lay and

(08:01):
juice is never really all that intelligent.

Speaker 1 (08:03):
But I just want wins, okay.

Speaker 2 (08:04):
I'm just trying to get two basketball games, So trying
to get two wins, just trying to see the ball
go through the hoop on this, I'm just trying to
get a layup, okay. So you know, I understand that
makes it more difficult. Whenever you add a leg, you
make it more difficult for yourself. But I'm very confident
that Vermont's going to beat you mass Lowell tonight. I
just don't think they're going to cover. I don't want
to be sweating out another melt like I just watched

(08:26):
the last two nights, and I do think that UNBC
at home is a good play. They're laying eight and
a half, just go ahead and win the game outright.
So that is a two leg money line parlay at
minus one sixteen. Hard Rock Bet had that last night,
so you guys can go and find your own price.
Shop around, get the best price on that. But I
do think we're gonna see two wins there, one for
Vermont and one for UMBC on the money line tonight

(08:47):
in college basketball at minus one sixteen. Now let's go
to the NBA. Let's talk about Orlando, a team that
I have liked a lot this season. Okay, I've been
Hopefully we're going to wind up getting ourselves into a
win with Orlando for their win total, we're on the over.
Hopefully they start to continue to play well like they have.
They got off to kind of a rough start. They

(09:10):
are playing at home against Charlotte. Now, we were on
the Lonzo Ball prop last night, and Lonzo Ball could
not hit the broadset of a barn last night. The
Bobcats only scored the Hornets only scored eighty seven points
last night. Okay, so that was against Cleveland ninety four
eighty seven. The game went under by fifty six and

(09:32):
a half points last night, and they're on a back
to back. Do we think we're gonna get a better
shooting performance out of Charlotte? Did they get all the
bad shots because Ball could not do anything. We're on
points and assists. The over for Ball, he was awful,
like just awful. His brother didn't play, but he was awful.
So we need to see, you know, a defensive effort

(09:55):
here by Orlando at home, they're ten and nine to
the under. Charlotte on the road is thirteen and eleven
to the under. The last three game from the Magic
have all gone over, but two of those games were
overseas against Memphis, and then the last home game was
against New Orleans. It was two thirty six and a half.
The game went over by nine and a half points.

(10:15):
But could we have tired legs here for the Magic
coming back from the two games slate against Memphis overseas,
Both those games went over by five and a half,
by one and a half, so slightly over, and the
total was two twenty seven and a half and two
twenty nine and a half. We're looking at a total
about the same at about two twenty nine and a
half here tonight. Two thirty seven and a half under

(10:39):
for Charlotte in Cleveland, two twenty six and a half
for Denver.

Speaker 1 (10:42):
On the road.

Speaker 2 (10:43):
That game went under the last two games for Charlotte
have gone under by twenty nine and a half points
and fifty six and a half points. Let's just keep
this train rolling here in Charlotte not being able to
hit the broadside of the barn. Orlando at home, Hopefully
they get into a lockdown defensive situation. They continue, hopefully
to play well defensively. They are a defensive first type

(11:04):
basketball team. They are sixteen and thirteen to the under
against the East. Charlotte is nineteen and eleven to the
under against the East. Let's go under to twenty nine
and a half for Charlotte and Orlando tonight in the
NBA and then finally in hockey, Detroit and Minnesota. So

(11:30):
you guys know, I like to play trends, and there's
a big trend here for you know, what's going on
with both these hockey teams. Both these teams, but Minnesota
is the one that you really can look at in
terms of what they've been doing. Minnesota is seven and
three to a first period over over their last ten games.
Minnesota is well, they haven't been getting goals a lot.

(11:53):
They're six and four to the goal in the first
ten minutes, but they're nine and one to an over
over their last ten games, Like, we've just seen a
lot of goals being scored here, nine and one to
the over. We've seen five and a half, six is
and six and a halfs last game against Montreal four
to three time, before that against Buffalo six to three.

(12:16):
Time before that against Buffalo five to four. As this
road trip wrapped, three game road trip all went over.
Their last three home games six two, five to two,
four to three, all going over. So we've seen when
it's five and a half, we get six goals, when
it's six and a half, we get seven or eight goals.

Speaker 1 (12:34):
Here.

Speaker 2 (12:35):
On the flip side, for Detroit, they're five to four
and one to the under. Their last game against Toronto
two to one, but before that was a four to
three game against Ottawa and a four to two game
against San Jose. So two of the last three games
have gone over for Detroit. But given the trend from
Minnesota and the fact that we have a six in

(12:55):
the market, there are some they've already gone to six
and a half, but that sixth number I like a
lot here for a chance to maybe get a push
on this with Detroit on the road. Minnesota has just
been one of these teams and just they give up
a lot of goals and they score a lot of goals,
and I like the six. There's a good push potential
there with the six. Hopefully we get seven goals, but
if not, we can get a push out of it.

Speaker 1 (13:16):
I'm going to go in and I'm going to jump
in and.

Speaker 2 (13:18):
Bet the over six for Detroit in Minnesota over six
goals at minus one fifteen. We don't know about the
goaltenders yet, but when you have this many games, ten
games plus, it doesn't really matter who's in net for
Minnesota or for Detroit for that matter. Hopefully we're going
to see goals no matter who they put in net
over six. Like I said, good push potential there for this.

(13:40):
So we're going over six for at MIS one fifteen.
So we are going with plays Vermont in UNBC money
line tonight, Detroit in Minnesota at the two lag Moneay
nine parlay at MIS one sixteen, Detroit Minnesota over six
in Charlotte and Orlando under two twenty.

Speaker 1 (13:56):
Nine and a half in the NBA.

Speaker 2 (13:59):
