our two game, two day winning streak, unfortunately seven to six.

Everything was right there for the Pittsburgh Steelers, and they
couldn't capitalize on every gift that the Texans gave them.
I mean, when you fumble the ball five times and
you throw a pick in the red zone in the playoffs,
you lose. Like that game, You lose like ninety five
percent of the time. When you have that many mistakes

by the quarterback in by the offense, you lose. And
the Steelers just ran out of gas. I mean, credit
that defense. I mean the fourth quarter was all Texans
and that's going to be a really difficult opponent for
the Patriots to face. So we wind up one two
on the day. Pat Fryermouth comes in under thirty three
and a half receiving yards he at eighteen.

Steelers do not cover and the teaser underhits, but the
team does not cover that nine because they got smoked
in the fourth quarter, and really I felt like the

and I know people don't like him, but he is

in what he believes in, and whether I agree with

pass in his Hall of Fame career to be a
pick six, that just doesn't really sit right with me.
But he may not have a choice given what just happened.
Mike Tomlin may be gone. We'll see where he in
his future, what happens there. I think if they bring
Tomlin back, I think there's a decent shot that Rogers

comes back. But if Mike Tomlin's gone, which I think
there is ample evidence and support in the market. Twenty
sixteen was a long time ago. That was the last
time the Steelers won a playoff game, and they had
it at home with a million turnovers by the Texans,
and yet they still couldn't win. I think it's probably

it for Mike Tomlin. Kind of stinks, but I think
it's kind of it for Mike Tomlin. I think he
is gone from Pittsburgh. So we'll do some look ahead
stuff tomorrow. Patriots are home favorites against the Texans. Two
and a half is the line here in Vegas. I
don't think they're going to close as a favorite. I
mean the Texans I think are the worst matchup for

the Patriots because of what Drake may is going to
see from a pass rushing perspective and the Patriot offensive line.
This is a I don't know. I mean, it's a
dead under game forty one. It's a dead under game.
Patriots defense will be able to stop. In particular, if
Nico Collins is out, the Patriots defense will be able
to stop that Texans offense. It's just gonna be I mean,

short week with a team that gets to sit and

Josh Allen, who did not look good in their game
against the Jags. They won the game, but they didn't
look good in that game. So we'll see how that
game winds up playing out. So today three sports, three bets, NBA, NHL,

What is interesting about this number being eight is what
the Spurs have done to the OKC Thunder the last
three times they have played. They played on December thirteenth,

And I'm gonna go ahead and bank on something that's
happened in college basketball. In college football recently, the blue bloods,
the teams that we are used to being dominant, are
no longer dominant in the NIL in transfer portal world.

Really well in the NIL and transfer portal worlds? Fred
Hoiberg at Nebraska and tj Otzenberger at Iowa State. They
did it at Iowa State before it was cool.

Capable from a roster turnover standpoint every single year in
college basketball, Royce White, anyone, Okay, this is what these
guys do. Neither Fred Hoiberg or tj Otzenberger have lost

They are both undefeated. I know Darren Peterson is an

unbelievable talent, but when you're coming back off of a
quad and a hamstring injury, you're one misstep away from
being re injured, and you're playing in such an intense
game against Iowa State, this concerns me. Iowa State's defense
is so good. They're number two in the country in
adjusted defensive efficiency. They're number twelve in adjusted offensive efficiency.

Iowa State is number two in three point shooting. Now,
Kansas defense is really good. They're fourteenth in adjusted efficiency
and they're sixth and three point defense. They're thirty fourth
and two point defense. But Iowa State's defense is equally
as good. They are fifty second in effective field goal percentage. Defensively,

they are seventieth and three point defense, seventy eighth and
two point defense. And Kansas's offense at times can just
go away. They just without Peterson, they just don't have
a huge weapon. And yes, Peterson's back, He's potentially the
first pick in the draft, and he scores a ton.
But again, it doesn't really matter how many points he scores.

I just think the other players won't have big games.
And so this is I'm gonna trust t Jiotsberger to
have a defensive game plan to handle a really good
star player in Ku. And look, there's a veteran point
guard in Lipsey for Iowa State that is very easy
to like and very easy to back. The number is

three and a half. Some books have already gone to four.
It's Ku at home.

You can take Kansas fog Allen magic, right, this is
what happens I don't know. I think we're in a weird,
wonky world that's different than most in college basketball in
college football. And I'm gonna go ahead and back the
Cyclones on the road, laying three and a half points
up against KU Cyclones to stay undefeated, Iowa State to
win the game and cover three and a half against KU.

Huge game in college basketball tonight. And then finally we
go to the NHL, where Pittsburgh is red hot for
a first period over so far, Pittsburgh over their last
ten games is nine to one to a first period over.
They play Tampa Bay coming up here tonight. The goaltender

is don't really matter to me. I don't care who's
in net. Because of the first period goals. Tampa Bay
leads the NHL in goals scored in the first period
with fifty three. Pittsburgh is number four with forty six.
In terms of first period goals now goals allowed, Pittsburgh

Those are the games that matter a ton to you
as a fan. Iowa State, excuse me, is undefeated. Iowa
(11:16):
State has been absolutely awesome this year. On the road,
they're five and one ats on the road, they're undefeated.

This Iowa State team is coming off of a game
at home against against Oki State where they're laying twenty
and they won by twelve. Maybe looking ahead to this
road trip to KU, but they beat Baylor on the road,
laying four. In their last game, they won by ten.
They beat West Virginia by twenty one, laying sixteen and
(11:45):
a half. The last three games for Kansas, and they
have had their star freshmen for the three games against
Central Florida, TCU and West Virginia. They lost too of
the games outright, and they didn't cover in.
Speaker 1 (11:58):
Any of them. This is not a good year for KU.
Speaker 2 (12:03):
And I'm gonna go ahead and bank on something that's
happened in college basketball. In college football recently, the blue bloods,
the teams that we are used to being dominant, are
no longer dominant in the NIL in transfer portal world.
Speaker 1 (12:20):
Do you know who does.
Speaker 2 (12:21):
Really well in the NIL and transfer portal worlds? Fred
Hoiberg at Nebraska and tj Otzenberger at Iowa State. They
did it at Iowa State before it was cool.
Speaker 1 (12:33):
To be able to do this. They showed the world
what is.
Speaker 2 (12:36):
Capable from a roster turnover standpoint every single year in
college basketball, Royce White, anyone, Okay, this is what these
guys do. Neither Fred Hoiberg or tj Otzenberger have lost
a single game in twenty twenty five twenty twenty six.
They are both undefeated. I know Darren Peterson is an

unbelievable talent, but when you're coming back off of a
quad and a hamstring injury, you're one misstep away from
being re injured, and you're playing in such an intense
game against Iowa State, this concerns me. Iowa State's defense
is so good. They're number two in the country in
adjusted defensive efficiency. They're number twelve in adjusted offensive efficiency.
(13:28):
Iowa State is number two in three point shooting. Now,
Kansas defense is really good. They're fourteenth in adjusted efficiency
and they're sixth and three point defense. They're thirty fourth
and two point defense. But Iowa State's defense is equally
as good. They are fifty second in effective field goal percentage. Defensively,
(13:49):
they are seventieth and three point defense, seventy eighth and
two point defense. And Kansas's offense at times can just
go away. They just without Peterson, they just don't have
a huge weapon. And yes, Peterson's back, He's potentially the
first pick in the draft, and he scores a ton.
But again, it doesn't really matter how many points he scores.
(14:11):
I just think the other players won't have big games.
And so this is I'm gonna trust t Jiotsberger to
have a defensive game plan to handle a really good
star player in Ku. And look, there's a veteran point
guard in Lipsey for Iowa State that is very easy
to like and very easy to back. The number is
(14:33):
three and a half. Some books have already gone to four.
It's Ku at home.
Speaker 1 (14:38):
I get it.
Speaker 2 (14:39):
You can take Kansas fog Allen magic, right, this is
what happens I don't know. I think we're in a weird,
wonky world that's different than most in college basketball in
college football. And I'm gonna go ahead and back the
Cyclones on the road, laying three and a half points
up against KU Cyclones to stay undefeated, Iowa State to
win the game and cover three and a half against KU.
(15:03):
Huge game in college basketball tonight. And then finally we
go to the NHL, where Pittsburgh is red hot for
a first period over so far, Pittsburgh over their last
ten games is nine to one to a first period over.
They play Tampa Bay coming up here tonight. The goaltender
(15:25):
is don't really matter to me. I don't care who's
in net. Because of the first period goals. Tampa Bay
leads the NHL in goals scored in the first period
with fifty three. Pittsburgh is number four with forty six.
In terms of first period goals now goals allowed, Pittsburgh
in the first period middle of the pack with thirty eight.
(15:48):
Tampa Bay a little bit further down just with thirty five.
But given these two offenses, and given the fact that
Tampa Bay is six and four to a first period
over over their last ten and Pittsburgh being as red
hot as they are to a first period over. I
think this is an opportunity to jump in here with Pittsburgh.
(16:09):
I also like a goal in the first ten minutes. Okay,
I also like that to jump in if you want
to bet the yes on that from a gift perspective,
goal in the first ten minutes if you want there.
But I think we're going to see offense here between
Tampa and Pittsburgh. We're going to play the first period
over between these two Pittsburgh Tampa Bay over in the
(16:32):
first period over one and a half goals nine in
one to a goal in the first time I think,
I'm sorry, I misspoke. It's seven and three to a
first period over for Pittsburgh. There nine and one to
a gift a goal in the first ten minutes. So
you can do both. You met the gift Pittsburgh Tampa
and the over one and a half goals for Pittsburgh
and Tampa. I think the over one and a half
is a safer play, but I don't mind betting the

first period for a goal in the first ten minutes
either on that, So bets for today. Spurs play US
eight on the road against OKC Iowa State, laying three
and a half on the road to KU Pittsburgh and
Tampa over one and a half goals at minus one
thirty five in the first period.
