Speaker 1 (00:15):
Hey, guys, how are you welcome into a Tuesday morning
episode of the Daily Juice podcast.

Speaker 2 (00:19):
Monday is Matt Perrault.

Speaker 1 (00:20):
You guys can follow me across all of my socials
at Sports Talk Matt and unfortunately, well, first, congratulations in Indiana.
What a win, Fernando Mendoza. You are going to be
the number one pick in the draft. Welcome to Vegas.
Come on down. You win the Heisman. Now, you win
the national championship, and you're going to be the number

(00:41):
one pick in the draft. We were one and a
half points away from going three to oh last night.
But this is a good thing when it comes to
like numbers. The Celtics game, they lost by one. They
had a shot at the end to win the game,
but they covered. That's a bucket, that's one way or
the other. Right, fell right in that little window. We
took two and a half game closed three, so we

(01:02):
got that right.

Speaker 2 (01:03):
But then the.

Speaker 1 (01:05):
Over we bet under forty seven and a half, it
lands forty eight. We laid seven, it landed six. Like
that is just gambling. Okay, that's just really the way
I've been in college football, which is just pit ice cold.
We go one in two on the day down one
point three units, and look for next year, I have

(01:25):
a really big goal. I'm gonna spend a lot of
time trying to really get back to being good and
betting in college football, because it's been the opposite for
most of my career. I went back and looked at
some of the numbers. So in the year of twenty
twenty five, I wound up going one thirty two and
ninety five in the NFL. That's at a fifty nine
percent clip. I ended up going forty nine and sixty

(01:49):
two in college football in twenty and twenty five, and
then in twenty six in the NFL, I've gone fourteen
and eleven, and in college now I will go two
and four after the zero to two last night, I'll
go two and four in college football in twenty twenty six,
or at least start the year two and four in
twenty twenty six. So clearly I'm not reading the board

(02:11):
well for college football. And it has a lot to
do with the transfer portal, it has a lot to
do with I am a trend better and we just
really don't have trends about.

Speaker 2 (02:20):
What this new world is like.

Speaker 1 (02:23):
Indiana and Miami wound up playing for the National Championship.
Indiana and Miami wound up going through the traditional blue bloods.
And I'm not saying it's a bad thing. I like
this new era, this new world where our final four
is made up of teams that you wouldn't think would
be there, and that the final twelve teams to get in,

(02:46):
you know, two of them were Group of five teams.
Now they didn't play well, but still you see Miami
getting in over Notre Dame. If somebody told you that
five years ago, you'd have gone, come on, that's not
going to happen. So and then Indiana with amazing story.
A kid that wasn't recruited by Miami goes in place
against Miami in Miami, in his home city and goes

(03:07):
and wins the National Championship.

Speaker 2 (03:09):
Just really cool.

Speaker 1 (03:10):
But from a betting perspective, this was a very hard
year for me, just with the evaluation and looking at
the talent, looking at the coaching, look at the teams.
So I got to obviously do something different. I gotta
work harder next year in college football the NFL, We've
got it pretty well locked down right now.

Speaker 2 (03:27):
Have done very well with the NFL.

Speaker 1 (03:28):
We have two future bets left with the Patriots and
the Seahawks both at double digit odds, so we're doing
well in NFL. We did very well this year in
the NFL, a winning year in the NFL, but college
was pretty poor. So on me, I entirely my responsibility
to get much better at this and to spend the
summer researching and reading and doing some different things, because

(03:50):
clearly last year did not work. So unfortunately, it's a
one and two day, down one point three units to
start the week, but plenty of time left to have
a winning week for us, as we had towards the weekend.

Speaker 2 (04:01):
It's a Tuesday, I'm getting a little froggy.

Speaker 1 (04:03):
I don't know, We've been kind of conservative lately, so
I kind of want to get after it here today.

Speaker 2 (04:08):
Maybe it's a frustration or whatnot.

Speaker 1 (04:09):
But I got three bets in three sports and then
there will be an NBA player prop, so we'll have
four bets officially going for tonight. So at Sports Talk
Matt on the Betting Pros app there will be one
NBA player prop that I will give you coming up
later on today on the Betting Pros apps to go
and download it and then search at Sports Talk Matt,
and you will see the play for the prop bet

(04:30):
for us. And look, prop bets have been pretty good
for us. You know we started off. Let's see what
will be this year for NBA prop betting. Hold on
a second, I will tell you NBA prop betting. We're
five and two so far this year with NBA prop betting,
so that's pretty good. Last year in twenty twenty five
we went up one, up seventy five and forty four.
That's a sixty three percent clip up thirteen and a

(04:52):
half units in NBA player props. So if you wonder
why we do this, and you know using the prop
bet cheat sheet finding the right play that we've made,
hitting over sixty percent on anything is very profitable. Clearly
so NBA Player prop coming up later on today. But
let me tell you before we get to the picks,
about our friends at hard Rock Bet. They were the

(05:13):

Iowa State hosting Central Florida. Johnny Dawkins's team is pretty surprising.
They're a top fifty team with almost a whole new
roster for Central Florida. Iowa State's reeling. They've lost back
to back games, and while I do not think Iowa

(06:20):
State's going to lose this game to Central Florida, this
team from UCF has played really, really well.

Speaker 2 (06:28):
They got a couple of really good guards.

Speaker 1 (06:30):
They got a lot of guys who have transferred in
and really taken advantage of the transfer portal, much like
Iowa State has done. But Iowa State recently has really
had a hard time scoring the basketball and playing defense.
They lost eighty four to sixty three at KU and
then they just lost to Cincinnati seventy nine to seventy

(06:51):
Something is going on here with Iowa State and they
return home to Hilton where they are fourteen point favorites
over UCF. Now kempom has this as a twelve point
win over Central Florida fourteen point. The line is fourteen,
But I have a hard time getting behind this given
the fact that Iowa State at home this year against

(07:13):
the number is four, five and one. They're two and
three ATS in the Big Twelve. Central Florida has covered
their last two games. They're three and two ATS on
the road. They're three and two ATS in the Big twelve,
and they've covered at home against KU. They beat Kansas
at home by six. They covered against Kansas State, catching

(07:37):
two and a half they won by nine, and they're
coming off a home game against Arizona, the number one
team of the country, where they were catching nine and
a half and they lost by seven, so they covered.
Iowa State hasn't covered in the last three games and
they've lost back to back games. Didn't cover against Oklahoma State,
not a great Okie State team. They're laying twenty they

(07:58):
won by twelve, and the losses to KAYU in Cincinnati.
They did cover against Baylor in West Virginia. But fourteen
points just seems to be too heavy. After reading some
of the comments from t. J Alsberger about his respect
for Johnny Dawkins's team and just how talented these guys
are and how they're kind of flying under the radar screen,
they're fourteen and three straight up. They're four and one

(08:21):
on the road this year. They're eight and two over
their last ten. I mean, haven't played just complete cupcakes again. Cincinnati,
they beat Cincinnati seventy three seventy two at home. Mind you,
the same Cincinnati team that Iowa State just lost to
now was on the road, but they just lost to them.

(08:42):
Kansas beat Iowa State eighty four to sixty three. Central
Florida again at home, but they beat Kansas eighty one
to seventy five. I'm taking the points. This seems to
be too heavy. To me, I'm taking the points Central
Florida plus fourteen for one point one units. Let's talk
hockey with the Kings and the Rangers. Jonathan Quick has

(09:05):
been confirmed. He's in net tonight for the Rangers. This
is a return to the place where he won a
Stanley Cup, and you know he's going to be on
his game against the Kings. The good news is the
Kings are one of the best under teams in all
of hockey. Darcy Kemper going for the Kings tonight is
not great news for us. But the total is six

(09:28):
and Darcy Kemper is twelve nine to nine with a
two point four to eight goals against average. At home
he has a two point three four goals against average,
and you know he's gonna want to play well here
knowing that Jonathan Quick is on the other side. And
the Rangers have been awful, okay, and then you know
they're just sent a letter to their fans saying really sorry.
But the one thing that the Rangers have been good

(09:49):
with is on the road. They're sixteen nine and two
on the road, while the Kings are seven ten and
seven at home.

Speaker 2 (09:56):
Which is a little bit weird.

Speaker 1 (09:58):
If you look at the Kings and what they've done
here at home. The Kings are one of the best
under teams in hockey. They're fifteen and nine to the
under and over the last three games for the Kings,
they have gone under in their last three games. They
went way under their last five games, those three games

(10:19):
at home.

Speaker 2 (10:19):
They've gone under.

Speaker 1 (10:20):
Their last five games at home. The Kings are three
and two to the under and the Rangers. Even though
the Rangers give up a lot of goals and the
Rangers score a lot of goals. They're coming off a
six to three win over the Flyers. The final scorer
last four games for the Kings two to one, three
to two, three to two, and three to one. The
total this game is six. I think quick plays well.

(10:43):
I think Kemper plays well. I think we're for a
low scoring hockey game here. We're gonna go with the
under under six for the Rangers and the Kings here
tonight at minus one fifteen for one point one five
units to the NBA.

Speaker 2 (10:58):
We go and let's talk.

Speaker 1 (11:00):
A bit about well, there's a couple there's a couple
of games in the NBA that I like, but the
one that everyone's going to talk about is the Spurs
at the Rockets.

Speaker 2 (11:10):
Something's up with the Rockets.

Speaker 1 (11:11):
They've covered a grand total of two times in their
last ten games. Now, the Rockets are nine and one
to the under over their last ten games. You can
play the under in this game if you want. But
San Antonio, who equally is nine and one to the under,
this total feels just a little bit low, or a

(11:32):
little bit low at two twenty two and.

Speaker 2 (11:33):
A half for an NBA game. I'm a little on.

Speaker 1 (11:36):
The suspect side because you look at traditional you know
what we've seen from San Antonio two thirty eight, two
thirty four, two twenty four, two thirty two thirty two,
two thirty one, two thirty three, two thirty eight. I
feel like the books know this about the Spurs and
the Rockets, and they're putting the total really low. I mean,
two twenty two and a half seems to be really

(11:58):
low for these two teams. So instead, I'm gonna go
ahead and take a look at even for the Rockets
two thirty two and a half to twenty two and
a half to twenty one. That game did go under
against OKC a one to eleven ninety one loss two
twenty four two twenty three to twenty one and a half.
Like you know, these are games that have been going

(12:19):
under even at two twenty one, So I don't hate
underplay on this game, but I'm just surprised to see
the Spurs catching three and a half points. The last
ten times these two teams have played, the Rockets have
covered seven of them. But in the previous game back
in November, the Spurs won the game one twenty one
to one ten as five and a half point dogs,

(12:42):
they won the game outright. The Spurs on the road
are eleven eleven and one ATS and the Houston Rockets
at home this year are seven in ten ATS. But
as I said, they've covered two times in their last ten,
just one time in their last five. They beat New
Orleans in their last game at home, didn't cover. They
did cover against Minnesota by laying three and a half

(13:04):
and winning by five, but that snapped one, two, three, four, five, six, seven,
eight game stretch where they didn't cover. This Rockets team
doesn't cover now. While the Spurs have not covered their
last two games, they've won three games in a row outright.
Didn't cover against Utah, they won, didn't cover against Minnesota,
they won, but they did cover against Milwaukee, laying seven

(13:26):
and a half and they won by eighteen. You know,
whenever we're talking about these teams and we're watching the
Rockets and the Spurs get together, there's a lot of
heat here. Wemby's playing, He's in this game. I'm taking
the points. Give me the Spurs at plus three and
a half. Again, you want to play the under this game.
I don't hate an underplay in the game either. I
think you can see a very low scoring game, but

(13:47):
dog in the under. I think it's correlated here for
us going on with this, so plays for us here
on a Tuesday, We're going with the Golden Knights. You
see if the Knights the Knights UCF plus fourteen at
Hilton Coliseum, Iowa State wins, but I think that's too
many points at fourteen Kings with Jonathan Quick and net

(14:09):
for the Rangers, we're going under six at MIS one p.
Fifteen and the Spurs catching three and a half on
the road against the Rockets. One NBA player prop to
