Speaker 1 (00:15):
What's up, guys?

Speaker 2 (00:16):
How are you welcome into a Wednesday morning episode of
the Daily Juice podcast with me Matt Perolt. You guys
can follow me across all of my socials at Sports
Talk Matt. I want to talk for a little bit
and I hope that you guys will let me say
something if you don't like rants. Just there's four bets
coming today, two in the NFL and two in college basketball.

(00:38):
Two for today, two for Saturday. If you want to
fast forward, we have a hard rock bet of the day.
There's other things coming up here, but I have something
I need to say because if you've been on the
Discord channel, you know that this rant was coming because
I am furious at something that happened in the comment section.

(00:58):
And let me just say one quick, one person, one idiot, Yes,
one person, one idiot can get me going. And here
is why I know the comment section in most YouTube
videos or most places, the comment section is a cesspool

(01:20):
of lies and very lonely people who are trying to
find a way to spew their negativity around the world
because on the Internet you're able to do that. But
we live in a current world where people can just
say things and then they get assumed that in some

(01:42):
form or fashion, there is credibility put forth when people
are saying things that are factually just wrong. And nothing
gets me more angry than when somebody tries to question
my integrity.

Speaker 1 (01:59):
I am not a perfect person.

Speaker 2 (02:03):
I am not somebody who holds myself up as some beacon,
some standard for which other people should copy what I do.
But I am not somebody who will ever allow any
individual to criticize or question my integrity. It is something

(02:25):
that I hold very A very large part of who
I am is the fact that I do not lie
to people. I try to be the best person I
can be. I try to treat people as fairly as possible.
I'm not the nicest of people in the world.

Speaker 1 (02:41):
Okay.

Speaker 2 (02:41):
I got into talk radio because my personality is grating.
I was given a career in the business of talk
radio because I have the ability to piss people off.
And I don't care if I piss you off with
how I think, it doesn't bother me. If you disagree
with me, doesn't bother me. If you think I'm an
idiot in terms of Bett's picks, plays or opinions, I

(03:05):
think what I think, and so I say what I think,
and that I know what comes with that. I understand
the criticism. I understand the response from people because it
makes them uncomfortable when somebody is truly believing what they say.
That makes people worried. And in today's given world, you know,
the more that you believe things, the louder you say things.

(03:28):
Oftentimes that's taken as fact because man, you're you're so animate,
you know, s animant about it, so so animated with
the conversation. You must be telling the truth, right, even
though it's just blatantly lies. Politicians tell blatant lies every
single day in this country, and people just take it
as gospel.

Speaker 1 (03:44):
And go, oh yeah, he's saying it. It must be true,
and it's not. I say all this.

Speaker 2 (03:49):
I bring this up because of one person, in one
comment that happened last night when this podcast began in
July of twenty twenty, when Dan Harris, the former head
of Betting Pros, and I can tell you exactly where
I was when I had this conversation. I can tell
the address. BRO was in my old house here in
Vegas during COVID when Dan asked me if I wanted

(04:12):
to host this podcast and I said to him, I
will do this. I will host the podcast, but I
want every single bet tracked.

Speaker 1 (04:21):
I want it public.

Speaker 2 (04:23):
I want every play out there open for anyone to scrutinize.
And I don't want to be the one that's going
to track it. I want somebody else tracking it so
nobody can try to say that I have doctored the record,
that this is what I have put out publicly. Here
is the bet, win or lose. Here is what I
am betting, fade or follow. Here is where I am betting.

(04:47):
Whether you love it, you hate it, you follow it,
you fade it, you make fun of it, I don't care.
But I want it somewhere public, where somebody can get
after it. And there has been a running spreadsheet, even
when I left for six months, there's been running spreadsheet
of every pick that's ever been put out on the
Daily Juice. Okay, fact not debatable. I do not track

(05:12):
the bets. I make the bets. I don't track them.
Sometimes occasionally life gets in the way, and the people
at betting pros, my bosses, have life things that pop up.
Sometimes they miss a bet or two. Sometimes it falls
through the cracks. Sometimes people have babies, or they have life,
or they have issues and they're not perfect, so we

(05:33):
try our hardest. It's a free podcast. Nobody has been
charged a dime for anything this podcast has had on it.
So is it a one hundred percent perfect you know,
go to the mat. This is exactly what has been
bet and exactly what has happened type of record. No,

(05:54):
is it ninety nine percent accurate? Yes, it's really accurate.
So why I'll tell you the Daily Juice podcast. This
spreadsheet has been placed again on the Discord channel. You
can go and find it, do your own research on it.
But here's what we've done. This is documented. Okay, here's
what we have done. In twenty twenty, this podcast was

(06:15):
up eleven units for the year. In twenty twenty one,
this podcast was down twenty two units for the year.
In twenty twenty two, this podcast was down eight units
for the year. In twenty three, this podcast was up
nineteen units on the year. In twenty four, the podcast
was down twenty units, and in twenty twenty five, the

(06:36):
podcast was up fifteen units.

Speaker 1 (06:40):
Did you guys realize? And some of you do, but
you realized?

Speaker 2 (06:44):
This podcast in twenty five at one point was up
forty five units for the year. During baseball, I was
up forty five units. That was the high watermark in
twenty twenty five. Has quarter four gone well? Nod I
lose in the fall? Yes, absolutely. College football was bad

(07:05):
this year. NFL football was not. NFL football was very good,
was profitable. We made money. You know, twenty twenty three,
twenty four units on the NFL. You can go in
look at the record. Okay, we've done very well in
the NFL. So I bring this up because of what

(07:26):
was posted yesterday, and when this gets posted, I lose
my mind. Matt, How can your tracking be so far off?
You did not finish up sixteen units. You finished down
six point three units, including all of your futures you count.
I'm reading this, by the way, if you're listening to
the podcast, I'm reading this post this thing from YouTube

(07:48):
that has gotten me so riled up. You counted Denver
in the Giants on New December fourteenth recap. Already you
forgot the Ashjin genty, which we did and it's been corrected,
by the way, for the over seven that rushing touchdowns
as a lost wager in October year down thirteen units
in November year down eleven. In December, ye were down
fourteen point nine. I'm willing to make a ten thousand

(08:09):
dollars wager with you or anyone at Betting pros that
you finished the year down versus up. Since you and
Betting pro struggle with monthly tracking, I will update your
total after each month so you can check with who's
helping you track it. Seriously, telling people you are positive
versus negative as gross misrepresentation of this show have integrity
in twenty twenty six, Sir, who the hell are you

(08:34):
straight up? Because you're not just calling me, You're not
just coming after me when you say this, You're coming
after the people that I work with, the people that
I know are some of the best people I've ever
come across in media. So you, sir, you want the
ten thousand dollars bet, put the money up, show me
your ten k, and then let's go okay, Because I'm

(08:56):
telling you right now, I'm not going to sit here.

Speaker 1 (08:59):
And tell you that every decimal point is exactly correct.

Speaker 2 (09:01):
I'm not going to tell you that we're not going
to go into a forensic dive into every single play
and every single dollar has to come out with the
exact number. But I can tell you that the tracking
overall is accurate. I can tell you that people are
trying their hardest to give you as close as possible
as a positive. And I just read you off three

(09:24):
winning years and three losing years. Add that up, we're
down lifetime. It's like five units, six units. If you
include twenty twenty six, we're actually up lifetime by like
a unit lifetime. Okay, so the point of this is
one you weren't here for the entire nine months. You

(09:46):
probably jumped in in October, November, December most likely. But
don't you dare question the integrity of me and the
people at betting Pros. It's one person, but one person's
lies when it looks like he actually knows what the
hell he's talking about, one person's lies can be picked
up and pushed.

Speaker 1 (10:07):
Not accurate, not true, dead wrong, dead wrong.

Speaker 2 (10:14):
I don't lie, I don't fabricate, and I don't care
what you do with the information I give you.

Speaker 1 (10:20):
Fade every bet, Follow every bet. It's a free podcast.

Speaker 2 (10:25):
It's been a free podcast for over five and a
half years. In July of twenty twenty six, this podcast
will turn six years old of being in your inbox
every single day. It matters to me that when people talk,

(10:46):
you can say all sorts of things about me. You
can talk your crap, you're junkie, you can say whatever
you want about me.

Speaker 1 (10:54):
I am not a liar. I do not rip people off.

Speaker 2 (10:57):
I do not sit here and misrepresent anything anything. So,
by the way, just for the record, yesterday's recap of
the NFL had nothing to do with the overall record
of the podcast. Okay, so don't act like you know
what the hell you're talking about, because I don't control
the spreadsheet. I was just doing a recap because I

(11:20):
thought it would be a nice thing to do, just
to say, hey, this is what happened with our future wagers.
I didn't realize where the ash gingenty was was given out.
Why because I work fifteen different shows. So I bet it.
I lost, yes, So I didn't know if that was
a juice play or not. If we're gonna go catatonic
over one bet one future wager that I didn't know

(11:42):
where it went.

Speaker 1 (11:44):
Holy crap.

Speaker 2 (11:46):
If you are part of this community, I have thanked you,
and I will continue to thank you for giving me
the most important part of your day, your time, the
most valuable thing you have is your time. On Spotify alone,
forget Apple, forget YouTube. On Spotify alone, there were over
four point three million minutes listen to in twenty twenty

(12:10):
five for the Daily Juice podcast. Just Spotify four point
three million minutes in the year. Apple is three or
four times that YouTube is three or four times that.
We're talking about millions upon millions of minutes that you
guys have given to this podcast. And I cannot even

(12:33):
begin to thank you for that. And I want each
and every one of you to understand that mistakes may
are made in life. Everyone makes mistakes. They happen, but
they are never done with any malice or any type
of design of misrepresenting what we do here. Three hundred

(12:54):
and sixty five days a year. I do this podcast.
In closing, I do this podcast. One person does this podcast.
There's not a production team. There's not somebody who's behind
the scenes putting this together. There's nobody telling me what
to bet. I don't work for the books.

Speaker 1 (13:14):
It's just me.

Speaker 2 (13:15):
I host it, I produce it, I edit it, I
post it, I do the graphics, all of it. It's
currently whatever ten forty five at night Pacific time. If
you're on the East coast, you guys are long asleep.
This job, this opportunity, this podcast, means more to me

(13:37):
than you, guys understand. This has meant so many It
has given me so much for so many different reasons.
It's been the most rewarding thing I have done solo.
Other things I've done with other people, but solo, this
has been the most rewarding thing, more rewarding than any
radio job I had in my entire career. And I

(14:00):
worked in Boston, Houston, I worked in all over the country, Omaha,
Des Moines. Take your pick as to where I worked. Okay,
I bounced around. I am so thankful to betting pros
for this opportunity. But how dare you, sir, how absolute
dare you say anything like this about what we do

(14:20):
here and how we do it. I will put us
up against anybody in this industry, anyone in this industry.

Speaker 1 (14:26):
Again.

Speaker 2 (14:27):
Show your money, Okay, get your ten thousand dollars, show
it to me, and then let's have a conversation, because
I'm glad they take your money.

Speaker 1 (14:36):
Here. We go back to normally.

Speaker 2 (14:38):
Scheduled programming for the Daily Juice podcast. All right, let's
talk about Saturday, and then we'll get to the games
coming up here for tonight. This is going to be
a fun weekend. We talked about it yesterday. But let's
start with the Rams and the Panthers. So the Rams
have the potential to be the largest road favorite in
the history of the NFL. We've never seen ten and

(14:59):
a half, We've never seen eleven. We just haven't seen
this before, and there is a real possibility that we
are going to get there. The largest spread before this
game Rams at the Panthers, the Buccaneers led by Tom
Brady almost at Patriots. The Buccaneers were laying ten against Washington.
They won, they did not cover. The Saints were laying

(15:19):
nine and a half against the Seahawks. They lost the
game outright. The Steelers were laying seven and a half
at the Broncos. They also lost the game outright. There
are many people at betting pros Andrew Ericson and others
who are very high on the Panthers to cover this game.
I think that's possible. I do Rams are going to
win the game, but I think the Panthers are going
to be in it. And I think the best play

(15:41):
in the game is the total at forty six and
a half.

Speaker 1 (15:45):
If you look at what has happened.

Speaker 2 (15:46):
For the Rams on the road this year, they are
seven and two to the over Carolina's four and four
at home, and their last four games have gone under
but that was because of Tampa, Seattle, Tampa, and New Orleans.
That's got more to do with the defenses than it
is the offenses. And DeVante Adams coming back to play

(16:09):
in this game is so big for the red zone
offense for the La Rams. In the first meeting in
which the Rams lost this game to the Panthers, and
why people like even more like the Panthers at home
here is because of the fact that this game got
high scoring.

Speaker 1 (16:28):
The Panthers scored.

Speaker 2 (16:29):
They scored thirty one points in that game against the
Rams won the game thirty one to twenty eight. Matthew
Stafford did not play well at all in that game
against the Panthers, but thirty one to twenty eight. The
total was forty five. The game flew over by two
touchdowns by fourteen. I just think we're seeing offense. I
think the Rams defense is different on the road. Sorry,
the Rams defense is different on the road. The last

(16:51):
six games for the Rams all went over to end
the regular season.

Speaker 1 (16:56):
Games on the.

Speaker 2 (16:56):
Road at Carolina, at Arizona, at Seattle in at Atlanta
all went over. I'm playing the over. Give me the
Rams and the Carolina Panthers. Let's go over. We're going
over forty six and a half for one point one units.
Second game, this is a barn burner Packers at the Bears.

Speaker 1 (17:19):
So there are some guys.

Speaker 2 (17:21):
Ed Fang, who is a tremendous math genius who is
from the Power rank dot com, get a whole video
about how big of a fraud the Chicago Bears are
and it has everyone up in the air.

Speaker 1 (17:34):
Everyone's mad, everyone's screaming. I think he's right. I do.

Speaker 2 (17:41):
The Bears very well might win this game and make
me eat my words. But until that happens, I am
taking a team that is twelve and two straight up
over the last fourteen games against the Bears, that being
the Packers. The Packers on a really tough losing streak,
and I know the Micah Parsons injury. I understand Josh
Jacob is banged up. I get all the different reasons

(18:02):
why you can tell me the Bears are going to
win this game. You can tell me the under is
the best play in the game, and that might be
the case, but I'm a little bit concerned about offense.
The weather is not going to be that big of
a problem here for these teams. I'm looking at this going, Hey,
to me, I think this Packers team is gonna go

(18:22):
and do what they have done for a while, and
that is just go and own the Chicago Bears and
have Jordan Love back and have this offense clicking, and
the Bears just being a bit on the overrated side
of things. Being at home doesn't really matter. This is
the third time that the Packers and the Bears have

(18:43):
faced each other in the postseason. The Packers won the
first match up in twenty ten or the last matchup
in twenty ten twenty one to fourteen. The time before
that was in nineteen forty one for the Packers and
the Bears. The Bears won that game. This number is
ping pong back and forth Bears favored Packers face. There's
a big discrepancy and disagreement in the market as to

(19:04):
who is going to win this. But I just think
when you have these two teams who know each other
so well, I'm gonna take. And there's something about Ben
Johnson that just worries me a little bit, about him
doing something funky, him making a bad call, him do
him doing something that's not going to be great, you know,
an on side kick or something funky that some flea

(19:26):
flicker or play that just he gets too cute. I
know Ben Johnson's been very good this year ten six
and one the Bears against the spread, but in the playoffs,
this is his first ride here with Kayleb Williams in
his first playoff start. This is the worst matchup of
I think they could have had to get the Packers
here with their experience. I know the Packers are horrible

(19:49):
against the number. They're six ten in one. That's the
worst record of anybody in the playoffs against the number.
But this is one. This is not a big number.
This is Packers minus one. I'm taking the Packers. Gave
me the Packers minus one against the Bears coming up,
and the seven seed will then go to Seattle to
play against the Seahawks, which is exactly what Seattle wants

(20:11):
to face a team like the Packers on the road
for a second straight week, them with a buye for
Seattle now, so Packers minus one over for Panthers and
the Rams for Saturday. We'll do Sunday tomorrow. Now to
the games today, Let's talk about the Creighton Blue Jays
on the road up against the Villanova Wildcats. So a

(20:33):
couple interesting things, and I love reading the game notes
for the Creighton Blue Jays when they're games going.

Speaker 1 (20:38):
The Jays are.

Speaker 2 (20:39):
Owen six at the Finn all time, they're they're four
and two at Infinity, but they're oh and six at
the Finn. In fact, they're only scoring fifty five points
a game at the Finn, or sorry, seventy four points
a game. That's fin sorry, seventy four points. They are
oh and six and they are are just not shooting

(21:02):
the basketball very well at this building. The Jays are
coming off of a game in which they should have
beaten Seaton Hall and they lost. They pretty much collapsed
against Seaton Hall. Kempalm has this as an eight point
win for Villanova.

Speaker 1 (21:19):
The number is six and a half.

Speaker 2 (21:21):
I would expect that number to climb, but I think
the reason why it's a little depressed at six and
a half is because I do think folks are looking
at the total in this game and they're looking at
the under. The Jays are six and one to the
under on the road this year, and the only game
that they went over was at Xavier, in which they
scored ninety eight points, and they could not miss one

(21:43):
of the best shooting performances in the history of creating basketball.
They couldn't miss. That's the only game on the road
that's gone over. The rest of them have all gone under.
Now Villanova is five and three to the over at home,
but they split where they play, and when these teams
get together, generally speaking, they are tight basketball games. You
have you know, most of these games come down to

(22:04):
seven points or less. Each of the last four meetings
between Creighton and Villanova have come down to seven points
or less, with three of those games having the road
team win by two. So this is Greg McDermott up
against Kevin Willard. These are two defensive minded coaches. The
Jays like to run and shoot, yes, so does Villanova,
but generally speaking, defense is what these guys have hung

(22:28):
their hats on until they've gotten these jobs. The Jays
have morphed into different styles over the last couple of years,
but this Jay's team does not shoot. The three very
well at all. Owen Freeman, Nick Graves, Josh Dix. These
guys just aren't. This is the most unique looking Creton
team that I've seen in my since two thousand and four,

(22:48):
so twenty two years watching Creighton basketball closely. This is
the most unique roster because this is not your typical
Creighton Blue Jay team. They are three and one in
the Big East. Villanova is three and oh. I do
think Villanova wins. I don't think the Creighton Blue Jays
are going to score. I think the best play in
the game, though, as I go, it could come down
to a possession or two. The Jays very well might

(23:09):
cover the six and a half point number. I think
the best play is the under.

Speaker 1 (23:12):
Is the under?

Speaker 2 (23:12):
Oh, that's wrong, that should be the under. Hold on,
that's wrong. We corrected that. Why didn't that get corrected.
That's interesting. It should be the under. Sorry, cross that off.
That's not right. Okay, we're going under one forty one
and a half for that number. That's not right. Creighton
and Villanova under one forty one and a half.

Speaker 1 (23:31):
I corrected that. I was going to take the Jays.

Speaker 2 (23:33):
I was close sticking Creighton, and then I went and
looked at kempom. Kempom has this to go under to
go one forty it's one forty one and a half.
The game opened up at one thirty nine and a half.
It's been bet up to one forty one and a half.
I don't think that's a real move. I think that's
to elevate the number. I would expect money to come
in on the under for Creighton and Villanova. Finally, let's

(23:56):
get into the hard Rock Bet of the day, being
brought to you by our friends at hard Rock Bet.

Let's talk about Alabama and Vanderbilt. These two teams look

(24:48):
to run. Kempom has this as a game in the
one eighties. Alabama average possession length ninth quickest in the country.
For Vanderbilt, they are thirty eighth in terms of average
possession length. Offensive efficiency Vanderbilt is fourth in the country.

(25:08):
Alabama is second in the country. Effective field goal percentage
on offense, Alabama is thirty seventh, Vanderbilt is seventh.

Speaker 1 (25:17):
Defensively, these teams are okay, they're not great.

Speaker 2 (25:22):
Alabama three point defense is eighty eighth in the country.

Speaker 1 (25:26):
That's not horrible.

Speaker 2 (25:27):
Sixty fourth in two point defense three point defense, though,
Vandy's pretty good twenty eight percent given up that's ninth best, sorry,
eighth best in the country. Two point defense, they're forty
sixth best in the country. That's why Vanderbilt is favored
here in this game by four. And while there have
been some lower scoring games historically between Alabama and Vanderbilt

(25:49):
at Memorial Gym in Nashville. I do think we're gonna
see offense here between these two teams. I do think
we're gonna see some tempo between these two teams. Bama's
three on the road to a total, Vandy is four
and three overall to a total. The last time these
two teams played now, it was in Tuscaloosa, and the
games in Tuscaloosa have been more high scoring for sure.

(26:12):
It was one oh three eighty seven, a big win
last January for Alabama. A different roster, different team, but
still very similar styles of play here. I just think
we're gonna see offense. I mean, Kempalm is putting this
number a lot higher than what the books are at
one seventy eight, one seventy nine, one seventy nine and
a half. Here. You may even see. You may een

(26:34):
get a better number than me. I think we see offense.
I think Bama and Vanderbilt are gonna put on a
really fun show today.

Speaker 1 (26:40):
We're going with the hard rock bet of the.

Speaker 2 (26:41):
Day Vanderbilt and Alabama over one seventy seven and a
half at minus one ten.

Speaker 1 (26:47):
At hard rock Bet.

Speaker 2 (26:49):
Record for our play is ten and six so far
for the hard rock bet of the day Bama Vandy
over seventy seven and a half at minus one ten.

Speaker 1 (26:58):
We're going to creaton Blue Jay under under.

Speaker 2 (27:02):
One forty one and a half, Packers minus one in
the over for the Carolina and Rams game football, those
games we played on Saturday.

Speaker 1 (27:10):
Sorry for the length of the podcast today.

Speaker 2 (27:12):
