Speaker 1 (00:08):
For I hope in you, Lord, you will answer the Lord,
my God, Psalms thirty eight fifteen. Hope isn't just wishful
thinking or a shot in the dark. It's a confident
expectation anchor in the finished work of Jesus. For those

(00:29):
without hope, life feels overwhelming, the struggle seem endless, and
a better future feels impossible. But biblical hope is different.
It doesn't ignore reality. It simply places its faith in
what Jesus has already done his death and resurrection. It
changed everything because of what He did on the cross.
We can have biblical hope. I think the best definition

(00:53):
of hope is to look forward with confidence, expectation, and anticipation.
With this kind of hope, we can trust even in
our toughest moments, because we know that God was at
work on the cross, and he is still at work now,
and just as he conquered death, he will conquer everything.
Your circumstances may not change quickly, the answers still may

(01:14):
feel out of reach, but even then you can have hope.
You can choose to believe He is in control and
that He will finish the work he started. In you, Father,
we give you our hearts. We come to you with
hope anchors that you are who you say you are,

(01:36):
with confidence in the finished work of the cross, and
with anticipation that your promises are trustworthy. Trials and burdens
can be heavy, but we know you hear us when
we call to you. You are the source of all
hope and strength. We trust that your ways are perfect
even when we don't understand. Give us courage, endurance, and peace.

(01:59):
Feel us for the journey. Fill our hearts with your will.
We trust that you are working all things for your kingdom,
and we will wait in anticipation of its fulfillment. And
your name we pray Amen.
