Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come,
the old has gone, the new is here. Second Corinthians,
five p. Seventeen. Do you ever find yourself stuck in
the past? The guilt of past mistakes, the pride of

past success both can hold us back. Living in the
past can keep us from moving forward into what God
has called us too. You can't drive forward if you
keep your eyes in the rear view mirror and Second Corinthians,
Paul reminds us that we are now a new creation
in Christ Jesus. The past, good or bad, no longer

(00:48):
defines us. It's gone. If God woke you up today,
he is not done with you. You still have purpose,
You still have work to do. So let's act like
we're awake. Dad used to wake me and my brothers
and sisters up by asking us if we are alive, alert, awake,
and enthusiastic. Looking back, I now see that he was
really asking us if we were going to make the

most of every moment that we were awake. What about you?
If you believed in Jesus, you are a new creation.
You are free from the past. So what are you
doing now? Are you alive, alert, awake, and enthusiastic. There
is so much joy in living in anticipation of what
God will do. When you stop looking back and start

living enthusiastically surrendered to God, your life will change. You
can be a part of His mission, his purpose, his legacy.
You are given a purpose that is worth being enthusiastic about.
Good and gracious Father, thank you for the road that
led us here, Thank you for our past blessings. Thank

you for teaching us valuable lessons that can teach us
to be more like you, and thank you for forgiving
up us for our shortcomings. Please remind us of how
we are now made new in You. Help us to
live with our eyes on the mission that lies ahead,
the work you have called us to do, the people
you have called us to love, in the message you
have called us to carry. We love you, and we
