Watching Last Night with the Spurs over the Timberwolves. Spurs
were favored by ten and a half and they end
up winning it comfortably one twenty six, ninety seven. Wemby
got off to a great start. He ended up with
twenty seven and seventeen. This is a chance for you
to watch the rest of the Spurs lineup. This isn't

necessarily about Wemby. For me, it's about Dylan Harper. I mean,
they have a variety of players, Stefan Castle, Darren Fox,
Daron Fox had a couple of breakout seasons with Sacramento.
Now he's kind of settled into a veteran guard for
that team. But you watch and you go, okay, and

they're trying to build their roster. I think similarly to
the Oklahoma City Thunder. Have depth. Now you have to
have a star or two, but you have to have depth.
And that's where you're seeing.

The difference with them is they're going to go nine
or ten deep and contribute, and normally in the playoffs,
your rotation will shrink to around seven players, maybe eight players.

Wemby will sit down, the Spurs don't lose anything. But
you're seeing a team that is in the embryonic stages
of being a title contender for years to come. And
that's the promising part of this. Now you go back
and you remember when David Robinson got hurt that allowed

the Spurs to get in position to take Tim Duncan.
They won like fifteen games when David was out with
the bad back.

Then you have Wemby.

If Wemby doesn't have the blood clot last year, they're
not in position to get Dylan Harper the second pick.

They've been very fortunate with lotteries and drafting the right guy.
And Dylan Harper has had a breakout postseason here and
that's the number two pick overall. I mean, they just
missed out on Cooper Flag so he's only twenty years
of age. Castle I think is twenty one, Wenby's twenty two.

This is what you want. Now, you're building something right
before everybody's eyes.

team and you go, oh, yeah, they got one guy

you start to see the totality of the lineup, the
team and depth, and that's what really impresses me, because

in today's NBA, it feels like you need two stars
and then you need your depth and having those guys

goes to Golden State. I wouldn't panic unless I thought
that these two didn't necessarily get along, and then you're
going to bring in Giannis. Okay, but you're gonna hear

because it feels like his days in Houston are done?

Yes, Marvin, I'm always flabbergasted by this Boston Celtics trade
rumors with Tatum and Brown because it's been working. They've
gone to a finals, they've won a championship. Is it
just ego based? Almost like the Kobe and Shack situation?

But I've never heard anything about that neither. So that's
why I wouldn't panic. If you're spending a lot of
money on them and you're gonna have them under contract,
it's hard to get two great players, and they are.
Jalen Brown was a MVP candidate this year in what

we thought was a gap year for this team. That's
why I wouldn't panic on this. Now, I might look
at moving some other pieces, Derek White maybe, but then
how much do you really need to do? Like when
you're healthy, you're probably still the best team in the East.
Tatum didn't play in Game seven. That's why I don't know. Look,

I love to see movement. I like to see change
with you know, some of these players. Get Giannis out
of Milwaukee, put him on a team, give him a
different look. Maybe gets a chance to play for a title.
If Jalen Brown wants to have his own team, okay,
here's your own team. Ask James Harden how that worked

when he left to go to Houston. So you're gonna
hear a lot of NBA stuff and it feels like
these are just let me throw it against the wall
and see. I had no information that Sacramento would be
interested in joelmb or that that's a possibility, but I

see some bonus for joellenb I don't know how the
numbers match up. I don't play the salary cap game

if you want a max contract, oh boy, when your
backup Paul Reid is out playing you, that doesn't bode
well for Jalen Duran to get a big time contract.

I'm looking back at the seventy six ers draft history.
It's fascinating. Remember twenty thirteen Michael Carter Williams of Syracuse.
He looked like he was gonna be a thing for
a while. He couldn't shoot, no, but he looked like
one of those Rondo type players. Then they get him
Embiid starts slow, becomes great. Then with a third pick
in fifteen, they get jalil okafor who everybody loved coming out,

didn't work out, Ben Simmons in sixteen, markel Foltz in seventeen.
Oh man, it gets better because Tyrese Maxi and now Edgecumbe. Man,
that's a tough run.

And I remember after that draft.

Now I had a source involved in the situation and
he was saying, I hope that Philadelphia will take markel
Fults because he said the best player in this draft
is Jason Tatum and I said it on the show.
So if I'm getting information like this, like what information

kel Foltz, who won nine games in his one year
in come and even Lonzo Ball was a better pick
than markel Foltz. And you know, of course he's had
knee injuries here, but you're you're just thinking, are you
overthinking these things?

Ben Simmons started out played pretty well, and I thought, Okay,
he's just going to be one of those guys who

That's one of those where you watch, you know, a
college game, and you go, that guy is great, and

the lottery, bam Adebayo, Donovan, Mitchell, Josh Hart, og Ananobi,
Derek White, Laurie Markinen, a lot of really nice players.

I felt so bad for him Mark el Foltz when
like the whole Yips things started there, because it was like,
Philly is not exactly the nicest situation to not pan.

the shooting yips. I'd never now Guys will get into
routines at the free throw line because it's it will
paralyze you if you've never shot an important free throw
in front of even one hundred people or a thousand people,
and then you put nineteen thousand, and then you have

a playoff game hanging in the balance, and you're at
their free throw line. Everybody's yelling and screaming, and you're
just standing there, and then all of a sudden, you
need movement, you need noise, and all of a sudden
you get paralyzed.

He's really slow on his free throws, and he's actually
gotten worse as his career has gone along. How do
you practice those free throws and you take ten seconds

and I go, how do you go to the practice
range and practice that? How do you shoot free throws

to play an international game. They want teams to have

a hub headquarters. That's our town, that's our city, that's
our country.

You got Melbourne, you got the Rams and the Niners,
you got the Cowboys and Ravens in Rio de Janeiro

have Paris that will be the Saints and the Steelers.

Week nine Madrid that will be the Bengals and the Falcons.
Week ten will be the Lions and the Patriots in Munich,

they released the NFL international schedule and I see the

Well, they'll stay there in London, they'll be there for
a couple of weeks and just you know, stay acclimated
to the time change. But get ready for more of this.
This is what the NFL wants. The NFL wants expansion,
and expansion is not necessarily with games. That's not why
they're all in on flag football. They want flag football.

The NFL to be associated with flag football and vice versa.
That's why they wanted in the Olympics, because you can
build globally flag football with the NFL logo on that,
it'd be hard for a lot of these different regions
in the world to be able to get the equipment,
you know, just the money to have a football team

or football teams or leagues. This way, with flag football,
you don't need anything. You need a football field, you
need flags, and you need a football.

That's what the NFL the globalization because baseball has this.
Baseball has globalization, whether it's in the Dominican Republic, or
it's in Puerto Rico, or it's in Japan, Korea. The

Then they'll be in the big cities. Talking to somebody
who his job is to bring two parties together to
sell portions of teams, whether it's baseball, football, basketball, soccer,
and he was saying that these price tags for these
European cities to get a European An NBA Europe franchise

are going to surprise a lot of people of how
much they're going to spend.

Now they have another window. They found that nine to

Jags have basically conquered London. They're going to try and
do that with other So each team's going to have

Leading up to this, the last couple of years, I
think there was a lot of speculation that could Jacksonville,
you know, move there, And I think this is the
NFL's way of saying, no, we don't want to have
a team in a designated city or country. We want
to share the wealth with the rest of the world.

I mean the fact you're going to Melbourne. Okay, it's
a long way to go, and how many fans will
be able to go, but it might be really big,
you know, with rugby in Melbourne, and that you're going
to get a great audience to show up. You want
to make sure you're filling seats. Yes, deal.

Yeah, and they have like Austie rules football there, like,
that's probably a market primed for it.

I would think, yeah, now everythink so.

they have a variety of players, Stefan Castle, Darren Fox,

Now he's kind of settled into a veteran guard for

they're trying to build their roster. I think similarly to
the Oklahoma City Thunder. Have depth. Now you have to
have a star or two, but you have to have depth.

I love to see movement. I like to see change

they're all in on flag football. They want flag football.

The NFL to be associated with flag football and vice versa.
That's why they wanted in the Olympics, because you can
build globally flag football with the NFL logo on that,
it'd be hard for a lot of these different regions
in the world to be able to get the equipment,
you know, just the money to have a football team

you don't need anything. You need a football field, you
need flags, and you need a football.
