Speaker 1 (00:09):
Welcome to the Favorites, presented by Draft Kings. The Crown
is yours. Super wild Card Weekend is upon us. I'm
Brandon Kravitz, joined by the Favorites crew, the Prime Minister
of Degenerate Nation, Stucky, the Queen of the Pod, Miss
Kendra Middleton. On today's episode, we have got a loaded
edition of Action or Distraction. We've got our stat of
(00:31):
the Day coming up in moments, A two Kings and
a Queen parlay courtesy of DraftKings. See if we do
this the same way, six games to choose from, so
we can probably nominate to a piece. You'll find out
at the end of the episode. We've got a Sling
TV look ahead to Monday night football and breaking news
right before we hit record. ESPN sources Dolphins have fired
(00:57):
head coach Mike McDaniel. Dolphins owner Stephen Ross met with
McDaniel this week to discuss the season, and after that meeting,
which I guess did not go well and some reflection,
Stephen Ross decided to move on. I'm sure that the
John Harball dismissal in Baltimore had a little something to
do with it. Ross definitely has an affinity for the
(01:20):
Harballs being a Michigan guy stuck you your initial reaction
to the Mike McDaniel dismissal.
Speaker 2 (01:30):
I'm not surprised, but I think that he becomes a
very very attractive offensive coordinator higher for many teams, including
my Ravens. I would love for that to be the case.
So I'm curious to see where he goes. But I
(01:52):
think he would be an elite offensive coordinator. He's kind
of a little maybe he's just like a little too
quirky to be a head coach in some aspects. Maybe
he's just not cut out for that. There's a lot
of like really good coordinators that become head coaches that
shouldn't really be head coaches, and they just would thrive
(02:12):
as coordinators. But it's kind of there's a lot of
similarities to how corporate America works, right, Like I when
I used to work in finance, I was I got
to like a senior derivatives analyst, and then like the
natural next step to make more money is to go
(02:33):
become like a a big like leader of a team, right,
And but I that's not my that's not my passion.
I don't think that's my strength. So I was fine
where I'm at. But you a lot of people just
do that because it's the natural next step, But really
they might not be the best type of person or
leader to be a head coach or you know, a
(02:56):
certain type of executive in the corporate world, and then
you have people that just aren't in the right positions
for the wrong reason. So yeah, I mean, maybe he
will just try to go for another head coaching job
for the money, and I wouldn't blame him, but I
think that he would be and one of the best
offensive coordinators in the NFL. Would love for the Ravens
(03:19):
to get them.
Speaker 1 (03:20):
Yeah, I agree with that. Vic Fangio is another good
example of that. There's countless examples of guys that just
work well as coordinators and not as head coaches. Daniels, Yeah,
Josh McDaniels is a phenomenal example and even more relevant
on the offensive end. Do you think it's his personality
that got him fired? Because he had swag during portions
(03:43):
of his tenure, But the last couple of months, listening
to this guy, I do a radio show in Florida,
we are a lot of his pieces of his press conference.
This does not sound like a confident individual. He stammers
over his words constantly. It just doesn't sound like a
leader of football is about more than that. But as
a head coach, sometimes it starts there. Do you think
(04:05):
it's his personality, the substitute teacher vibe that got him canned?
Speaker 3 (04:08):
Ultimately, I don't.
Speaker 4 (04:10):
I gotta be honest. If you watch his press conferences
from when he first became a head coach to now,
there's just such a complete difference in the vibe of
him and the vibe of the room. I hate to
say it because this sounds meaner than I mean it too,
but I genuinely think that this has a lot to
do with Tua, Like he had to change so much
(04:30):
of his style, scheme, offense, everything to cater to the
type of football that to a plays, and then eventually
trying to keep to a healthy and so I after
coaching through that would probably lose my confidence, my edge,
my swag, whatever you want to call it. There's so
many of these tight khaki pants, young swaggy guy like
look at Liam Cohen in the NFL. Very similar vibe,
(04:52):
like fighting with Robert Sala and the small market, like,
how does that feel like? Whatever? Very similar vibe. I
just if I was coach in a situation where my
entire life revolved around two a tongue of Iloa's abilities,
I would probably eventually be like just another day closer
to death.
Speaker 1 (05:11):
Well, and and not just his abilities are lack thereof.
I went through his seasons with the Miami Dolphins. He
had seven starting quarterbacks during his tenure with Miami. He
was starting Skyler Thompson, Teddy Bridgewater at points throughout his
time in Miami. It's hard to sustain success when that
is the case.
Speaker 4 (05:30):
I don't think they really gave him the keys either,
you know, like they to A had like to A.
I'm gonna I hate I. I'm gonna blame a lot
of this on too. I'm trying to sit here and
think of other excuses. But like, the organization didn't help
him at all, and Tua just was not the answer.
And I think that them paying him and keeping him
around for as long as that contract is is just diabolical.
Speaker 2 (05:53):
Oh yeah it was. There was Look, I'll spend thirty
more Stitzwalkar we super wowk A right, yeah, I'm not
gonna spend one we can't on the Dolphins. But the
organization failed miserably in building that team, drafting, trading, building
the offensive line. Yep, all of the moves they made.
The defense as a disaster, so he was just put
(06:15):
into a really tough spot. They need and this looks
like what they're doing they need a complete tear down
and rebuild.
Speaker 1 (06:24):
That was some breaking news right before we hopped on here,
so I wanted to get that out there. But let's
kick things off the way that we usually do. On
the Thursday episode, Evan Abrams shrimply unbelievable stat of the week,
straight from the primer. This weekend, we have some first
time playoff quarterbacks in action, quarterbacks making their first playoff
start taking on quarterbacks who have playoff experience twenty thirty
(06:49):
nine and one ats. That's thirty four percent and twenty
and forty straight up since two thousand and two. When
those less experienced quarterbacks play at home, which are all
three this week, they are twelve and twenty one straight
up and against the spread. That is, Bryce, Young, Caleb Williams,
and Drake May all fit into that bucket. Kendro, was
(07:12):
that part of your analysis at all as you have
made your way towards the window this week?
Speaker 4 (07:18):
Yeah, It's definitely something I've thought about. But I still
am sitting here in the struggle bus that we talked
about the other day where I love every single underdog
this week. So that's another thing that's playing into it.
It's like, you can look at all the stats, but
sometimes you have to weigh the stats about versus how
you actually feel and what's going on in this current season.
And I think that some of these guys are getting
(07:40):
really lucky with the matchups that they're getting stuck.
Speaker 3 (07:44):
You or do you land on that being a major factor.
Speaker 2 (07:48):
I wouldn't say major, but it's definitely a consideration. I
think there's real actual that's actually a thing like I
just think about and you look back historically, there's been
some elite It's not just all rookie quarterbacks, even if
he removed like rookie quarterbacks, there's been some really good
quarterbacks who have struggled in their first playoff game when
(08:09):
they face a quarterback who has playoff experience. Lamar Jackson
was one Iron Rogers Golf, although that was probably outdoors.
I mean, Flacco really struggled in his first that So
there's been a couple. I mean, Darnold was a disaster.
(08:30):
So that was last year. I mean he was that
was a disaster against Stafford. So yeah, I think that
there's it's not just noise. I think that there's some
signal there. And you know, you could you could have nerves.
Even these quarterbacks at home like that. You just haven't
been on that stage yet, so you don't know how
they're going to perform. So I think it is valuable
to have that playoff experience in your back pocket against
(08:53):
a quarterback who doesn't. So looking at those three, you know,
I mean I don't have the Panthers this week, but
I could really see Bryce Young struggling. I do have
the Packers, and I think that that's certainly valuable in
this game. We don't know what we're gonna get from
Caleb Williams and the other game. What is the other one?
Speaker 1 (09:17):
Good Bryce Young, Caleb Williams, Drake May.
Speaker 2 (09:20):
Yeah, Drake, I mean I have the Chargers. You just
don't know what there's a chance at Drake May. The
other I mean, Drake May has never played in the
playoffs and he basically hasn't played a tough defense all year.
So there's, uh, there's a lot of uncertainty there with
how or perform going up against a defense that takes
away the explosive passing play. So yeah, now you can
argue that Herbert's been a disaster in playoff games.
Speaker 4 (09:43):
Yeah you could.
Speaker 3 (09:44):
Yeah, you could also catching three and a half.
Speaker 2 (09:48):
Yeah, and it's also a tiny sample size.
Speaker 4 (09:49):
But that night was the best night of my life.
I'm not even kidding. It was years ago, yesterday.
Speaker 1 (09:54):
I don't I don't deny that, but I think on
this show, we only have one between the three of
us on one of these first year in the playoff quarterbacks,
and it's my bet on the Sad Cats the Carolina Panthers.
But none of us are on the Bears. I know
Stucky's on the Packers. Kendrew, I don't have you taken
aside on that yet.
Speaker 4 (10:16):
I have not, but I am so close to being
in on the Chargers the Patriots games at prison for me,
So that's why I haven't done it. But I really
like the Chargers.
Speaker 1 (10:27):
We had the community bet on the Tuesday episode where
everybody was pretty much consensus on the Chargers.
Speaker 3 (10:33):
I did throw that one in the.
Speaker 1 (10:34):
App Stucky has as well, so there's definitely we are
as a podcast this is definitely some valuable information for us.
It's not everything that goes into the analysis of these games,
but the two of these three I'm not touching with
a ten foot pole that Caleb Williams and Drake Mayodly.
Speaker 4 (10:56):
It's kind of a yuckiest. I want to call it
super wild Card weekend, but I think that that's going
to like show that I'm getting old, but like it's
a weird wild card weekend. Like usually I feel like
I have such a stronger stance on these games, but
these are kind of yucky from a betting perspective, Like,
I mean, I get a really boring weekend.
Speaker 1 (11:14):
I think this weekend is going to be phenomenal, but
it goes to the unpredictability of the season. We just
feel like there's so many flaws with all these teams.
Speaker 3 (11:22):
Stucky.
Speaker 1 (11:23):
Anything else you want to add to this conversation before
we jump to the next thing.
Speaker 2 (11:28):
Now, No, I'm looking forward to this weekend. I mean,
you have one double digit spread and the rest are
basically between a pick and three and a half, three
and a half, four and a half now with the Eagles,
so I think we're gonna get some competitive games. It's
wide open, like if you look at that Jags Bills
game winner or that, I think it's a really good
chance of going to the super Bowl.
Speaker 4 (11:45):
I'll send you guys videos from the stands, please.
Speaker 2 (11:49):
So yeah, I'm looking forward to all these games. And yeah,
I mean forty nine Ers, Eagles and Panthers Rams probably
the to least games that I'm looking forward to Steeler.
Speaker 4 (12:04):
The Steelers game being on Monday night football pisses me off.
That's the one that I'm kind of like, why are
you doing this to us?
Speaker 2 (12:10):
I think that'll be close, close, low scoring. We'll get
to that game later. But yeah, I'm looking forward to
all these games.
Speaker 1 (12:17):
All right, stuck you Before we dig back into it,
what is your weird, bizarre, random question of the week.
Speaker 2 (12:23):
Hey, this is a dumb question. Let me ask you
a personal question kind of question?
Speaker 3 (12:29):
Is that is question?
Speaker 2 (12:32):
Oh my gosh, I totally forgot pime up up on
something Dealer on the fly. All right, Uh, let's what
is the next segment? Can you give you the two
minutes to think about it?
Speaker 3 (12:43):
Yeah, we're gonna do action or distraction. We could do that.
Speaker 2 (12:47):
Did you prepare anything? This is distracted?
Speaker 4 (12:49):
Distracted?
Speaker 2 (12:50):
I'm not I want it on the action.
Speaker 1 (12:56):
We'll make this one quick because I do want to
make this much more about the bets that we have
and the leans and all of that stuff.
Speaker 3 (13:03):
But action or distraction.
Speaker 1 (13:05):
On John Harball in the Ravens parting ways sending shock
waves across the NFL community, Kendra, action or distraction that
John Harball will have a job somewhere in the NFL
before the end of Wildcard weekend.
Speaker 4 (13:20):
I don't know if we'll know about it, but I'm
sure that there will be contract something somewhere going on
through this weekend. But the only thing that we have
to keep an eye on is if the Bills lose,
McDermott has to be out. And that's the only question
mark I have are is he hanging on for the
potential of that team? Because for me, there's truly only
(13:40):
two destinations for him. It's one Buffalo if McDermott gets fired,
and to the New York Giants. Those are truly the
only two teams that I personally see that Does that
obviously mean that there's not another option? No, those are
just the two teams that make sense to me. So
do I think that there's conversations, Yes, but that Bill's
opening looming is a little bit of a question, but
(14:02):
I think it's the right choice for the Ravens. Like
I think, I said this on our show on Tuesday,
Like this feels very much like the Mike Rabel wrong situation,
right coach, like good coach, wrong situation. He's been given
every single thing to finally get over that hump, and
they basically had to choose between him and Lamar Jackson.
And I think that that fan base would have lit
(14:24):
that place on fire if they chose him over Lamar.
Speaker 1 (14:27):
Stucky this this is your squad. Were you good with
it when you saw the news?
Speaker 2 (14:32):
Yeah, I thought it was probably coming. It was time
for change. There was rumors that the locker room was
splintered and the relationship between him and Lamar wasn't Nah
wasn't great this year, which I think was fairly obvious
that there were some issues there. So I think it
(14:53):
made sense. I think it was just time. I think
it all work out for both parties. I think the
organization needed to change, Harbor needed to change, And I'm
super curious to see who they break in. Hopefully not
Matt Naggi, but like I would love if they like
my dream would be like Mintor as the head coach
and uh Nicdaniel as the offensive coordinator. That would get
(15:20):
me excited.
Speaker 4 (15:22):
I can't remember if I said this on this show
or a different show, but I think it's a great
time to need a head coach in the NFL because
so many of these young guys are coming in and
changing teams. Did I say this on this show about
how like these young guys are what's really turning teams
around for me, just because they're so much more relatable
to like the gen Z type of player.
Speaker 3 (15:44):
I think it's a good time to eat on one
of your many Boston shows.
Speaker 4 (15:47):
Yeah, well, then my whole point was just that I
think it's a really good time to need a head
coach because we keep seeing these young guys getting promoted
to head coaches. Look at Ben Johnson, look at Liam Cohen,
and just turning teams around. By taking a chance on
this younger guy who relates to your team more, it
absolutely has turned people around. I think that that's exactly
what the Ravens need, as someone who's younger and more relatable.
Speaker 1 (16:08):
One thing that gets me excited is Nick Giffen's luck rankings,
and it points us in the direction of one game
in specific or specifically is a if we're talking sides
and that's the Packers plus one is the official play
that is on the app. Packers are now minus one
and a half at minus want to wait on DraftKings
(16:32):
Stucky action or distraction the Packers right side, especially considering
the way these first two matchups have gone.
Speaker 2 (16:39):
Yeah, by the way, my dream would we saw how
coaches going fit to cap off that conversation, we saw
how much impact coaches can have. Speaking of the Bears,
Ben Johnson goes from Detroit to Chicago, turns them around.
Detroit misses the playoffs. Liam Cohen goes to Jacksonville, helps
turn them around. The Bucks don't make it exactly and
(17:01):
grizz they're they're often new offense coordinator to replace going
got fired today, So it can it can drastically change
my dream. Mintor head coach, McDaniel's coordinator, Flora's Flora as
a defensive coordinator. It's not that won't happen.
Speaker 4 (17:19):
But it's a beautiful dream.
Speaker 3 (17:20):
Stucky Laoria is probably going to get a head coaching job.
Speaker 2 (17:23):
Yeah, I mean, I'm just giving you my my dream.
So no, I think that the Packers are the right side.
And I don't think that you can discount the luck
that the Bears had. I mean, they were plus had
a plus twenty two turnover margin. They led the league
in takeaways and giveaways. And it's not like capleer Williams
didn't put the ball in Harm's way. You know, you
(17:45):
didn't have a lot of picks, but his turnover worthy
plays were pretty high, so you might see some bounces
go green Bay's way. I mean, this was a defense.
The green Bay defense was thirtieth in turnover EPA. The
Bears were obviously number one. And then you can just
look at how these games played out for Chicago. They
were two plays away from going owen six in the division.
(18:09):
They needed a miracle on side kick recovery, and before
that they needed like a face mask, and Jordan Love
went down in that game. By the way, Jordan Love
destroyed the Bears when he was healthy, before he got
hurt the first game, and then before he got hurt
in the second game. And the Packers really should have
swept the Bears if not for all that fluky stuff
that happened late. So I mean, you look at the Bears,
(18:31):
they had that and then they had the long kick
return at the end against the Vikings. The usily could
have went owen six in the division. They finished two
and four, only the second team since nineteen eighty five
to win the division with a losing record. But you
go back to the Raiders game. They could have lost that.
They could have lost of the Commanders. They could have
lost to the Browns or the Bengals with Joe Flacco.
They could have lost of the Steelers with Mason Rudolph.
(18:52):
I mean, these are all bad teams that they arguably
should have lost agains if they'd needed to, Like last
second wins. They set an NFL record with six wins
when trailing under two minutes to go. The defense doesn't
do anything well outside of taking the ball away, which
is just not sustainable. Take away you know you remove
tournaments are thirtieth the EPA per play. This is not
(19:13):
a good defense. They do not get pressure. And Jordan
Love number one in the NFL this year in EPA
per play. With a clean pocket, I think he'll be
able to do whatever he wants. This offense, by the way,
got a bye last week, should come in healthier. The
wide receiver room is as healthy that's been all year.
They get Zack Tombak, their elite right tackle. Jacobs came
out and said he's as healthy as he's been all year.
(19:35):
That buy was super valuable last week because both the
Bears and the Packers had buys in Week five. Early
year buys you get worn down. Both teams had a
lot of injuries they were dealing with at the end
of the year, and Green Bay probably spent that entire week,
that extra week prepping for this game in Chicago. They
went all out trying to beat Detroit, thinking they needed
to win for the two seed. Turns out they didn't,
(19:55):
but that might hurt them. Here. The two things that
you know that the Packers defense has regressed and it's
fallen off as you know the pretty much since week eleven.
I mean, they've been a bottom five to ten unit.
They lost Wyde in week eleven, then Parsons has been
the huge loss. Should be a little healthier here, but
I do think the Bears will be able to run
the ball. I do think that the Packers will be
(20:15):
able to run the ball. To me, this comes down
to the Packers' ability to generate explosives and take away explosives.
The Bears are also of an explosive offense, but they're
bottom five and defending explosives, so I think the Packers
will just hit more explosive plays, which will be the
difference the two the only two things I really worry about.
And look, this will be a raucous crowd in Chicago.
It's our first home game since the double doink, but
(20:37):
it's a divisional game, so home field advantages is generally
less for that. And then there's gonna be weather that's
not going to bother Green day. The two things I
do worry about love coming back from an extended break
off of a concussion, could be you know, are there
any ill effects there is or any rust? Does he
come out a little slow? And then how bad is
(20:57):
the wind? Because if the wind is really bad, then
that's gonna favor Chicago, right because both teams are gonna
be able to run the ball. Chicago's an elite rushing offense,
and where I think Green Bay has one of the
advantages of their ability to connect on deep passes. If
the wind is too bad, that's going to hamper their
ability to take advantage of one of those primary strengths
(21:19):
in this particular matchup. But I do think that the
Packers are the right side and the Packers on They're
on the complete opposite end of the spectrum in terms
of luck. I mean, this is a team that went
oh to three when they didn't punt. The rest of
the NFL, it only happened eleven times the whole year.
The rest of the NFL went eight no, and there's
other eight instances. I think green Bay gets it done
here in the advance.
Speaker 4 (21:40):
I agree, No, I don't think so. I am on
the opposite side of this. I don't have a bet
on it. I probably won't, but I'm going to drop
the L word. I don't. I don't like the Packers
this weekend. I lean the Bears here. The Packers have
sixteen guys on ir. If this were the beginning of
the season and everybody was healthy, I would absolutely take
(22:00):
the Packers here. But Bears at home. Bear is healthier.
I just it's hot, and you know, Jordan Love coming
back from that concussion like that also scares me. We
see We've talked about on their show time and time again.
Guys coming back from concussions feel like they need a
minute to establish themselves. Back into a game and it's
been a while since he got that concussion. But I
also think that that hurts him in this situation, and
(22:22):
god forbid, he's not one hundred percent or whatever. Leak
Willis is hurt and then Desmond ritters behind him. It's
just the fact that there's sixteen people on IR and
you pushed all your chips in on getting Michael Parsons
this season, and now he's not playing for you. He's
not making a difference. I think the Bears can keep
up with the Packers defense and score points. I'm worried
about the Packers being able to score thirty points and
(22:45):
be able to keep up with this Bears offense. That
is my concern here. It's genuinely just that there are
sixteen people on IR for the Packers. That is a
lot of people. You can't overcome that in these type
of situations.
Speaker 5 (22:57):
In January, Jalie I will say, I will say that
the Packers just you know, a few weeks ago, went
to Chicago without Michael Parsons and an even more beat
up defense.
Speaker 2 (23:10):
And the Bears had six points with three minutes to go.
So even without Parsons, they were in control of that game,
and there was a third and fifteen where Caleb got
sacked when they were down sixteen to six in the
fourth and there was a face mask and without that
face miss, the game is over. And then they needed
(23:31):
a field goal and then an onside kick, which is
like five percent chance, and then they needed to win
an overtime.
Speaker 4 (23:36):
And this is before But you're the king of people
needing time to come back from concussions and worrying about that,
like you've talked about that on the show too. Does
that not worry you?
Speaker 2 (23:45):
Yeah, I just said it. It's a concern of mine.
But their defense held their own against Chicago without Parsons
a few weeks ago in Chicago, so I and we
don't know how healthy Adonsay is. The Bears have some
other injuries on defense with you know, CJ. Gardner Johnson
that I mean, Kylo Gordon Kate. It might play, but
(24:07):
he's made of glass.
Speaker 4 (24:09):
They need an early season Kyle Manungai game they.
Speaker 2 (24:12):
Left tackle at Trapello, he's dealing with an injury. So
they have some injuries as well. The Green Bay offense
should be pretty healthier outside of Jenkins and Crafto obviously
aren't coming back, but I mean love in the five
quarters that he played the Bears, they did whatever they
wanted moving the ball.
Speaker 4 (24:30):
Yeah, the Bears defense is awful, Like there's there's no
skipping that this. This has to be a shootout here,
There's there's no other what's the total in this game?
Speaker 2 (24:43):
Yeah, there might be snow, depends on I'd like the over.
I the wins aren't too bad. I do think both
teams will move the ball. I mean, if you go
back to that game, that that last game that ended
twenty two sixteen in overtime, I mean you had the
Packers had here were their drives start the game, nine
plays forty six yards to start the game, they turned
(25:07):
it over, they didn't convert on a fourth and one
inside the ten. Their next drive fourteen plays seventy yards,
ended in a field goal. The next drive, sixteen plays
ninety one yards, ended in a field goal. So they
had three drives in the first half. Now they're probably
gonna be run heavy, so these drives might be long.
(25:27):
See once they if they all start ending in like
fourth down fails or at field goals, you're screwed. But
both teams were able to move the ball. The Bears
also had a ten plays seventy yard drive that ended
in a turnover on downs, so there was The Packers
then had in the third quarter their first drive, nine
plays sixty five yards fumble. So I mean they were
(25:48):
moving the ball with Willis or Love, but they just
couldn't convert into touchdowns. But as long as the wind
isn't too bad, and even if there's a little snow
on the ground, I agree. I like this over with
two great offensive minds that are very familiar with both
of these defenses at this point in.
Speaker 1 (26:03):
The year, I'm gonna sit right in the middle between
the two of you. I have two bets on this game.
One is a prop. I'm gonna queue that one up
later potentially. The other is in the derivatives market thirteen
to one. This game goes to overtime, a one point spread,
a divisional game, third meeting. I think this game is
(26:27):
going to come down to the wire. I want no
part of either side because I could just see it now.
This game, hopefully in overtime because of the bet I've
placed scoop and score touchdown one of these two defenses.
This is just gonna be a weird game and I'm
out on that. We will get to your Etsy Witch
in a moment, Kendra, but first you're gonna tell us
(26:48):
about DraftKings.
Speaker 6 (26:50):
The Favorites podcast has teamed up with Dropkings sportsbook, where
new customers can bet five dollars and get three hundred
dollars back in bonus bets if your bet wins. Staying
on the action and use bonus on DraftKings same game
parlays for a shot at an even bigger payout to
get started to use promo code of Favorites when signing
up with DraftKings. Again, use Code of Favorites when signing
up and bet five bucks to get three hundred back
(27:11):
in bonus bets. If your bet wins, the crown is yours?
Speaker 1 (27:15):
All right, Stuck, You've given you time to think about it.
Do you have a question for us?
Speaker 2 (27:19):
Hey, this is a dumb question. Let me ask you
a personal question kind of question?
Speaker 3 (27:25):
Is that is question?
Speaker 2 (27:27):
I just forgot. I forgot to think about it, but
I can. I can come with one quick. You gotta
be rambling about games and then I, uh.
Speaker 3 (27:36):
Uh so that is technically my job.
Speaker 2 (27:39):
I will say, what's one thing that you've bought? You've
purchased in your life that your biggest regret purchase, like
the dumbest thing that you bought. I'll start. I bought
want it for my basement. I have like a that's
why I watch games is a cool bar area and
(28:01):
it's kind of like a big man gave. But so
I bought this like cocktail type arcade table, and I
mean it was I don't know. I think I got
it for it was like three thousand dollars and like
you can like sit around it and then there's joysticks
and then the screen comes up and there's like five
(28:21):
thousand arcade games on it. I was like, oh, this
would be cool to have just for like when people.
I've never played it once. It's never been used. So
I had one friend who used it who was over
and was like playing something on there. It was cool.
I mean I've actually looked went and looked at it
and look and there was like every game you could
(28:42):
ever think of arcade game. So it sounded cool in theory,
and it's cool that it's there, like it looks cool,
but I've never used it, and I regret purchasing that.
I guess I could like resell it, but I haven't.
Maybe maybe my kid will enjoy it one day.
Speaker 1 (28:59):
There you go, there is still time to get use
out of this thing. My answer to this is easy.
This one still haunts me. I worked a summer job
when I first got to college, and they didn't pay you.
It was like a maintenance thing, which is hilarious because
I don't know how to fix anything. I don't know
how I got this job, but I worked the summer
and then they gave you, which I'm sure hourly breakdown.
I was vastly underpaid, but they gave me, at eighteen
(29:22):
years old, a one thousand dollars check. I'd never gotten
that much money at once in my life, so I
went immediately to the fanciest mall in town. I went
into the Burberry store and I bought an expensive wallet.
Two hundred and fifty dollars. I dropped on a wallet.
Mind you, I probably had. I mean, that was all
the money I had in my account, was that thousand
dollars that they gave me.
Speaker 3 (29:43):
But I felt so good about myself.
Speaker 1 (29:45):
And then a week later I go to the gym,
I leave the wallet in my cup holder and it
gets stolen. So I have not paid more than eight
dollars for a wallet. Since that moment in my life.
Speaker 4 (29:57):
Lesson learned mine's going to be my my last car
that I had. I bought a BMW three thirty five.
I tricked out lower tented whole bit. I live in
fucking Massachusetts and it snows like crazy. I had zero
business driving a lowered car. I had it for a year.
(30:17):
Drove to work in the snow. One time, thought I
was going to die, and I was like, this bitch
has gotta go.
Speaker 3 (30:22):
That was it. That was a low key flex right
there by the way.
Speaker 1 (30:25):
So I feel pretty confident in saying that this is
the best sports week of the year so far, unless,
of course, you're a Kentucky basketball fan zero and two
in Conference WOOLF.
Speaker 3 (30:35):
But if you if you like ish stakes football, this
week is for you.
Speaker 1 (30:41):
Thursday and Friday, we've got college football playoffs semifinals in
this weekend. Well, you know what's going on in the NFL,
and when you think of big football games, you.
Speaker 3 (30:50):
Need to be thinking about Sling TV.
Speaker 1 (30:53):
Sling TV offers flexible package options one, three and seven
day passes for access to thirty plus live channels, which
includes ESPN and tnt SO you're covered for the semi
final games, the National Championship and for Monday Night Football.
And since this is an NFL show and we're talking
Monday Night football, let's fit in a little Texans Steelers
(31:16):
will give out one pick a piece for the Monday
Night Football action. Kendra get Us started.
Speaker 4 (31:23):
So Stucky has something that I have later on in
the show to discuss. So I'm gonna go with Pat
Fryarmouth for in anytime plus three to ninety, like the
tight end matchup here. He's been getting a lot of
love recently. I don't know if you guys saw that
video of him after the game after the kick on Sunday.
(31:44):
He just he is their go to guy and clutch moments.
Most of his catches wind up in the end zone. Somehow,
it seems I'm gonna go Pat Fryarmouth in a big moment.
I think the obvious answer he would probably be to
b DK Metcalf, But I like the Friarermuth value at
plus three ninety on DraftKings right now.
Speaker 1 (31:58):
But I think DK bet jail for what he did
and getting himself suspended at the end of the year,
and he should give his game check to Tyler Loop.
I like the look at Pat Fryarmouth. Rogers loves those
tight ends.
Speaker 2 (32:12):
What about you, Stucky, Let's go Steelers money line. I
think this is an obvious money line dog this week.
It's a low total. I think this will be a
low scoring game. Points are at a premium, so higher variance.
And the Steelers, as long as they're in this game,
you know they Riders is bad under pressure at this
(32:33):
point in his career, but they like to get rid
of the ball as quick as you'll ever see a
team with short passes throw to their backs their tight ends.
You know, maybe a quick slant to DK hopefully he
breaks one. So that kind of can neutralize the Texans
pass rush a bit. Now where the Steelers are going
to get in trouble. It's very difficult to do that
consistently against one of the best defenses in the NFL,
(32:55):
because if you don't have success on first and second down,
and then you're in third and long, and then you
got to go up against Texans pass rush where Rodgers
probably isn't going to be able to do much. So
that's where they're probably going to get into trouble. But
I could say the same thing for the Steelers defense,
which is vulnerable against the run. But Texans aren't really
an efficient rushing attack. So on these known passing situations
for the Texans the Steelers, they're going to blitz a lot.
(33:18):
Their defensive line is now healthy and Stroud has been
bad against the blitz and this is not a great
offensive line, so I could see the Steelers causing some
havoc and chaos as well. This could come down to
just which defensive line on a passing down makes forces
the other quarterback into a mistake. And we know that
Rogers generally, it's one of the best in NFL history
at avoiding those mistakes. So this will be like a
(33:40):
field position game. And don't forget this is a dome
team traveling outdoors in freezing temperatures. I think the teams
in that spot are one to fourteen in the past
fifteen instances that's occurred in the postseason. So yeah, I
think this will be a low scoring game where the
Steeers will have a shot to win it. You might
have the voodoo on your side as well, with you know,
(34:00):
just a couple deflections or flat forced fumbles that go
your way, and that might be all it takes, so yeah,
let's go Steelers money line to get it done on Monday.
One of these streaks has to end, either the steep
the Steers finally have to win a playoff game, or
their Monday Night streak. The last thing. I think it's
thirty three years now they haven't lost on Monday Night football,
(34:21):
So we'll see.
Speaker 4 (34:22):
Yeah, I was like ninety three or something, which is crazy.
Speaker 1 (34:24):
We'll just end up reframing that to regular season Monday
Night football games come next year if they lose. But
I have We're all in the Steelers here. I have
a correlation to the Steelers. Look, if they are able
to move the ball down the field against this Houston defense,
it's going to be because of the quick passing game
to Kenneth Gainwell. I like him over five and a
(34:47):
half receptions at plus one h nine. Rogers has to
get the ball out of his hands quickly to mitigate
this pass rush, and he has been doing that quite well.
They have the quickest snap to throw average in the NFL.
That bodes well for this stat a lot of easy
dumpoffs to gain well. The Texans rank above league average
in terms of receptions allowed to the running back position,
(35:09):
so screen game on full effect. We've got Pat Fryarmouth
anytime touchdown Stealer's money line, both of those at plus odds,
including Kenneth Gainwell, who's also at plus money, which means
your three legs. Sling TV parlay comes in at twenty
to one.
Speaker 3 (35:27):
Let's go Stealers.
Speaker 1 (35:29):
With so many great, great games still to come, sling
TV is your solution to instant access to live TV,
starting as low as four ninety nine. There is not
a better time to acquaint yourself with the one to
three and seven day passes from Sling TV offer applies
to Orange one day pass restrictions apply. It is time
(35:51):
for the reason you all came here today. Two kings
and a queen get nominated right here, right now, Stucky,
get us going.
Speaker 2 (36:10):
All right, I'm gonna go. I already mentioned I would
have my plant. The Flag game is JAG's first half
money line, which I still love. But we'll give two
other looks here. I'm gonna go with the Packers money line.
I think I rambled enough about that game earlier and
the let's go the Chargers plus three and a half
(36:36):
talked about that game a bit earlier. Look the Patriots
have the highest explosive play right in the league, even
though they faced the easiest schedule of defenses and the
easiest schedule of opposing quarterbacks. I mean, think about it.
The only they beat Josh Allen once they split and
that's about it. The rest of the quarterbacks they faced.
The next best quarterback, it's Baker Mayfield. I mean, Lamar
(36:59):
Jackson was roasting them before he got hurt, and then
it was Tyler Huntley the rest of the game. But
I think this defense that who has some injuries, is vulnerable.
And the biggest concern I have is with the Chargers
offensive line. I mean they're bad. I mean since we
you know, the second half of the year, they're thirty
first in pressure rate allowed. But the Patriots in the
(37:19):
second half of the year without blitzing and you don't
want to blitz Herbert, are thirty first in pressure rate
without blitzing, twenty seventh and adjusted pressure rate for the year.
So this is not a defensive line that's going to
get gobs of pressure and ruin this game for Herbert,
as we've seen quite a few times in the past.
Maybe it still happens, but the numbers I think Herbert
(37:40):
will have a chance here to move the ball, and
that Patriots offense that hits so many explosives is going
up against the defense that excels in that department. And
the red zone will be huge here because what the
Chargers are gonna have a huge emphasis on taking away
those explosives forced the Patriots to move the ball down
the field and then execute in the red zone. Well,
(38:00):
the Charters have an elite red zone defense under Minter.
They did last year forty five percent touchdown rate forty
five percent touchdown rate this year, both top five in
the NFL. Patriots have struggled some in the red zone
and then on the other side of the ball, the Chargers.
They don't have a great red zone offense, but the
Patriots are thirtieth in the NFL and red zone defense
in terms of touchdown rate allowed, and they've played nothing
(38:23):
but backup quarterbacks the entire year. So this might be
a chance for Herbert and company to actually finish off
drives with touchdowns. And the Matriots have been pretty lucky
this year, not only with their schedule, but May's gotten
away with some throws. I could see him throwing a
pick or two against this mintor defense. They've been lucky
with fumbles and especially on fourth downs on both sides
(38:43):
of the ball, so he might get a few bounces
here for the Chargers, but I think that they keep
this close. I think this line should be no higher
than three. So give me the Chargers plus three and
a half. So my two choices are Packers money line
and Chargers plus three and a half.
Speaker 3 (39:00):
For me, I already bet it. I like the Chargers
plus three and a half.
Speaker 1 (39:03):
Stucky continues to try and recruit Jesse Minter to his
football team. Kendra, I imagine America.
Speaker 3 (39:09):
This one easy, Yeah, Chargers.
Speaker 4 (39:12):
The best part is if the Pats lose and the
Jags win, I could be packing to go home for
three days or I could be packing to go home
for three weeks.
Speaker 1 (39:19):
I really don't know, Evan, where would you be voting
on this? So that was one of the easiest votes
we've had all.
Speaker 4 (39:25):
Year, Chargers the easiest.
Speaker 3 (39:27):
Thank Yeah, Wow, Get Kendrick.
Speaker 1 (39:32):
Do you want me to piss you off first or
after you make your selections this week?
Speaker 4 (39:36):
You're the host to your world. We just live in it,
all right.
Speaker 1 (39:41):
Let's just get this out of the way. You gotta
rip the bandaid off. Here my two nominees are a
prop and a side.
Speaker 4 (39:48):
Can I just say, can I just preface this with
I filled out our notes at nine forty five this morning,
and when I logged on at ten thirty, Kravits had
completely flipped the script.
Speaker 3 (39:58):
Yep, I had. I had not bet this game yet.
Speaker 1 (40:02):
As of the prep that I was doing this morning,
I was fully I've been fully convinced all week that
I've I was going to bet the Jacksonville Jaguars. And
the more I dug into this game, the more it
became obvious to me that I've got to bet the Bills.
So my nominees are Colston Lovelin over three and a
half receptions against the Packers or the Bills minus one here.
Speaker 3 (40:29):
Here?
Speaker 1 (40:29):
Which one are you shaking your head out more stucky?
The the prop or the or the Bills?
Speaker 2 (40:34):
The Bills? I mean, I like the Jags, and uh
like you're just basically betting on them. I think, like, oh,
Josh Allen is going to get it done. I'm not
even sure Josh Allen is fully healthy. But and then
you just changed like you're going to try to convince
this and you just changed your earlier in the day,
you were thinking Jags. Now, so you're going to try
to convince the Bills.
Speaker 4 (40:54):
Yeah, can you couple the knife out of my back
really quick?
Speaker 2 (40:57):
We're have been the Jags podcast all year. But you know,
I like the jack. The Jags offensive researchers is real.
Since they got Myers, they put Cole van Land in
that tackle. Parker Washington has emerged. B TJ's gotten healthier,
Breton Strange came back. The Liam Cohen effect has just
magnified as they started throwing the ball down the field.
(41:18):
The defense has real improvement. They're a lead against the run.
I mean the Antonio Johnson has emerged at safety, mon
Terrek Brown is playing better. And this defense, this Bill's
defense is terrible. So Josh Allen could lead them to
a win. And they're they're going to play a ton
of zone. There'll be opportunities there. But I would not
(41:39):
bet against this Jags team in this spot.
Speaker 3 (41:42):
And Witch, So I do want to get to the
Etsy Witch. But here's what I noticed.
Speaker 2 (41:48):
We'll get to the second went. My vote is I
guess Loveland because I'm not same.
Speaker 4 (41:52):
I don't can I ask you why? I mean, like,
here's The thing am I nervous about this game? Absolutely?
Do I think that the Bills can come into Jacksonville
and win game. Absolutely, But the Bills strength is their
run game, and the Jags have such a good run defense,
and I don't under And the thing is that the
Jags will run the ball down their throats. I don't
(42:13):
understand other than the Josh Allen angle. What you're what
you're looking at here?
Speaker 3 (42:17):
Well, yeah, believe me, this was.
Speaker 4 (42:20):
We had the real Josh Allen.
Speaker 1 (42:21):
By the way, This is the been the thought process
all week is I like the Jaguars better as as
a team, and I like Josh Allen better as the
quarterback that I trust the most in this matchup. And
I'm not gonna bet a single quarterback over an entire
team that I like better. I think that the hot
streak the Jags have been on has some phony written
(42:44):
into it, and I can't unsee it. Since they're loss
to the Texans. Trevor Lawrence has been the hottest quarterback
in the NFL. He has played so many bad teams.
Six of his final eight matchups were against the Titans twice,
the Cold twice, the Jets, and the Cardinals. The average
e p a per pass for those teams on defense
(43:06):
is twenty second in the NFL.
Speaker 3 (43:08):
It's no wonder the Chargers and Abscos.
Speaker 2 (43:15):
Yeah, defenses destroyed both, which I think puts merit to it.
Like literally, they went into Denver.
Speaker 3 (43:24):
The Chargers could.
Speaker 2 (43:27):
They're at the Chargers.
Speaker 1 (43:30):
That was the bottom of the barrel for this bad
offensive line for the.
Speaker 2 (43:34):
Talking about what they did to the Chargers defense.
Speaker 1 (43:37):
Well, yeah, it's a lot easier to score when you're
the opposing offense can't move the football.
Speaker 3 (43:42):
And we have decided the.
Speaker 1 (43:45):
Denver Denver are quite possibly the most overrated number one
seed in NFL history.
Speaker 2 (43:51):
Their defense, I'm not going to throw which defense in
the NFL is good the Charge, the Charges and Broncos
defenses aren't good. Which defense which.
Speaker 1 (44:00):
I'm not saying they're not good, I'm saying that the
that is two of the last eight matchups have been impressive.
I'm not selling Jacksonville as a team and telling you
that they're bad or that it's all overrated in terms
of what they've done for the last couple of months.
But against this team, I think it is.
Speaker 2 (44:24):
If if Bills are a bad defense, they're going to
play another bad defense here.
Speaker 1 (44:27):
So the Bills defense this year has held quarterbacks to
a seventy nine rating. They're number one in yards per
game allowed to quarterbacks. The red zone defense hasn't been great,
their fourth best in terms of allowing opposing offenses to
get to the red zone in the first place. I
just worry that if the Jags offense gets stuck in
the mud, bad Trevor shows up, And if bad Trevor
(44:47):
shows up, They've got no chance in winning this game.
Speaker 3 (44:50):
They're not beating Josh Allen in a playoff game.
Speaker 1 (44:53):
And I think it is awfully telling that you bet
the Jags in the first half and wanted no of
the full game when.
Speaker 3 (45:02):
We talked about this the other day. If we're talking
we have this.
Speaker 2 (45:05):
Com I mean I would take the Jacks for the
full game. I just prefer the first taxt I think
their script's gonna better. I think the Bills run it
too much early. The numbers bear that out. I mean,
the Bills offense first half or second half is drastic,
and the same with the Jags first half, first second
half offense. But I mean I could say the Bills
like you you mentioned their defense, I mean their defense
I think is twentieth and DVA. They cannot defend the
(45:27):
run you mentioned, like the quarterback. I mean, you can
make the same case for the Bills who they face
this year. I mean, look at the quarterbacks they face
down the stretch, the Chador Sanders who they almost lost to, that.
Speaker 1 (45:38):
Was in Cleveland, which is one of the toughest places
to play in the NFL. Their last defense the last
month plus we're talking about. What I'm mentioning here is
the cupcake schedule overall that the Jags played in the
last two months. I think that with them playing the
schedule that they played down the stretch, if you look
(46:00):
season long, they actually had a tougher strength of scheduled
than Buffalo. But down the stretch the Bills went to Pittsburgh,
to New England, to Houston, to Cleveland and played the
Philadelphia Eagles that is battle tested down the stretch and
they're rolling in As one.
Speaker 2 (46:16):
Point, they lost to Davis Mills, and I mean they
lost to the Eagles at home with the Eagles not
completing a pass in the second half. Like those aren't
the greatest data points. Like the Eagles offense and the
Texans offense with Davis Mills and losing.
Speaker 1 (46:33):
The bottom line is I think if this game was
played in Week fourteen in this exact setting, the Bills
would be two and a half point favorites. Their point
favorites here, I think they're the right side. Kendre, What
have you done in terms of witchery for me to
lose this bet?
Speaker 4 (46:54):
So I hired an Etsy witch yesterday to curse the Bills,
but I made to add in my notes that I
don't want anybody to get hurt. That was like the
big thing. I was like, I just want a good
old fashioned ass kicking. I don't want anybody to get hurt.
Speaker 2 (47:09):
My wife did that for before the Ravens Chiefs Safty
Championship game. She hired a witch on EPSCY and wanted
she wanted Patrick Mahomes. This is literally what she paid
for Patrick Mahomes to shit his pants during the game.
Didn't happen.
Speaker 4 (47:27):
Oh that's amazing. I get my money back in thirty
days if it doesn't happen.
Speaker 1 (47:31):
So wow, how much do you mind me asking how
much this runs?
Speaker 3 (47:35):
You'll whopping?
Speaker 4 (47:37):
Twelve dollars was the most expensive one. It was the
most expensive one I could get all the other ones
were like a dollar and she's supposed to send me
a video of like her doing the spell. But all
of the weird Southern Baptists on Twitter have gotten really
strange about this. But they can ligma because me and
my edsy witch are going to hold hand to the
AFC Championship game.
Speaker 3 (47:56):
All right, So nobody's voting for the Bills.
Speaker 4 (48:00):
Wait, Evan, where would you have gone with this.
Speaker 2 (48:04):
Jaguars?
Speaker 7 (48:05):
The stats that I like that's kind of on the
field here, which would be that the Jaguars this year
faced four teams who allow four plus yards per rush
on the ground. Jacksonville is not only four and oh
straight up and against spreading those games, but they've covered
by nineteen points per game. Throw it out the window
if you'd like. But they Jacksonville is not the best
running team. They should be able to run the ball
here and if that's possible, everything else will come into place.
Speaker 2 (48:27):
And I like Jacksonville.
Speaker 3 (48:28):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (48:28):
The second most wins over playoff teams. We talk about
people's team schedules. The only team with more playoff win
team wins over playoff teams is the Seahawks.
Speaker 7 (48:36):
I like the Meyers edition. Jaya Parker White, like everyone
is kind of coming into play. You start to look
at Bill's pass catchers, It's like, who the heck is
going to make a play in this game If it's
not Josh, and I think that's the problem.
Speaker 1 (48:49):
I'm just going to say, if it's not Josh and
throw that out like he is.
Speaker 3 (48:53):
He is right now.
Speaker 7 (48:56):
So Brandon Cooks is going to have to have a
pass on his helmet, like for fifty yards. I feel
like maybe magic happens.
Speaker 1 (49:02):
But if you play we've been watching how long have
you been watching the NFL guys? How long have these quarterbacks,
the Mahomes at least now the world, been throwing the
ball to these below average wide receivers in the postseason
and getting by. I just don't worry that much about
it when you're talking about a player of his caliber.
I'm not betting the Bills simply because of Josh Allen.
Speaker 2 (49:24):
But of course is the big well you mentioned Mahomes.
The last couple of years of our receivers, the defense,
their defense has carried them in the playoffs. This Bill's
defense is not good. Their linebackers are old and watched,
their safeties aren't great. The corner rock room isn't great.
Like they can get some pressure, but they can't defend
the run. I mean, you mentioned how many playoff teams
(49:45):
does the Bills beat this year too? I guess three
with the Panthers.
Speaker 4 (49:51):
Do we think Gabe Davis has over eight and a
half receiving yards in this game? Because I feel like
this might be the Gabe Davis revenge game. And I'm
sitting here and it's staring at me like the gob mask, our.
Speaker 7 (50:00):
Producers telling us to kind of move on here. But
I think we should retee it up. You want to go,
let's do this whole thing again, Jaguars Bills. No, I'm kidding, all.
Speaker 3 (50:08):
Right, let's go all right?
Speaker 2 (50:11):
So, yeah, you couldn't even go on a side or
total Loveland. I have no opinion.
Speaker 1 (50:15):
I mean I could get so I did come prepared
for a non prop.
Speaker 3 (50:20):
I just thought i'd throw one in there.
Speaker 1 (50:22):
I do like the Chargers Panthers under or I'm sorry,
the Rams Panthers under forty six and a half, Chargers
Patriots under forty six and a half, or the forty
nine Ers Eagles under forty four.
Speaker 3 (50:32):
And a half.
Speaker 1 (50:33):
I love the stat that Evan put in the primer
all six wild Card games are being played in outdoor stadium.
Since two thousand and four, outdoor wild Card games sixty
eight percent to the under. I think the Texans Steelers
number is too.
Speaker 3 (50:46):
Low for my blood.
Speaker 1 (50:48):
The Packers and the Bears are probably going to put
up points on each other. There could be a million
points scored in the Jags Bills game. So those are
the three unders that I like. I'd be happy to
add any one of those as my nominee if we
don't like the.
Speaker 2 (51:03):
Pro Rams Panthers under. Personally, there was a bunch of
fluky scoring in the first meeting battle on that Yeah,
I like that under a lot. I think the Panthers
went super slow the lowest passway to over expectation game
of the season. The Rams only round fifty two plays
twenty percent less than and they had to pick six
and their season long average. Quentin Lake should be back
(51:25):
the Rams. You know, Dotson might not be healthy, and
you got to remember in that game the Panthers didn't
have their best corner, their best safety, a bunch of linebackers,
So I think that they'll be some I don't see
the Panthers offense doing much. I think it's going to
be some long drives in here. And ever Row disguis's coverages.
That's one of the blemishes on If you look at
(51:48):
Stafford and what he struggles against, it's when teams disguise
covered his postam. Panthers do that more than any team
in the league. And Everro's had success against the Shanahan
McVeigh trees. I mean, look this year, Purty struggled against Carolina,
Jordan Love lost to Carolina at home. Stafford all those
turnovers against Carolina, and Stafford against his old coordinators Raheem Morris, Everrow,
(52:11):
He's throned four eleven picks in four meetings. So I
think the Panthers can do enough women explosives, and I
think this will stay under forty six and a half.
Might have some impactful cross winds too.
Speaker 3 (52:22):
So that's what I'm good with that.
Speaker 4 (52:26):
N Okay, I brought the Steelers plus three. I know
that we might have to double down on something that
we already gave in a parlay earlier. And then I'm
gonna throw the Eagles money line in here, just because
it's a parlay. We're getting value other places. We've talked
enough about both of these games, so hopefully this is
an easy decision for you guys.
Speaker 3 (52:45):
Yeah, I would love to throw the Eagles in here.
Speaker 1 (52:46):
That way, I could perhaps mitigate my losses with the
horrible forty nine ers plus three bet that I'm sitting
on right now.
Speaker 3 (52:52):
So I'm biased. I would like to get out of that, Okay,
that'll be.
Speaker 2 (53:01):
Yeah. It's just hard for me to see San Francisco
moving the ball consistently on Philadelphia, especially with their injuries,
and their defense is just so bad that even with
the Eagles offensive was they should be able to do enough.
I'm okay with either. I mean, I would like to
if we could. I would buy the hook since it's
a parlay on Pittsburgh's so super valuable here with a
(53:24):
low scoring game like get debt to three and a half.
So I'm okay with either. Evan, I'll let you. I'm
curious your thoughts here. Eagles money line would be mine.
Speaker 7 (53:35):
I'm actually a Texan stan, so I disagreed with kind
of a lot of the things you discussed are in
that segment, but I could be biased as well. I
just I'm a big fan of the AFC South. I
put it in our bets. I like them to win
the Super Bowl at six to one. I put both
teams together, so I would lean Philly. I agree, I
don't even see Like Shanahan's done some amazing things this
year to win games. He shouldn't have that Rams game,
(53:57):
like all sorts of different things. It is completely possible
two to zero in the wildcard round, like he just
figures it out.
Speaker 2 (54:02):
But I'll take Philly. Yeah, and Fangio's own Shanahan and
their meetings. Defense has kind of built the tack and
the Eagles are number one against tight ends, should contain Kittle.
They're number one in the NFL again short passes, and
like that's what san fran has to do here. Pierceall
not being one hundred percent, he could have been big
in this matchup. That's kind of where they're when their
offense exploded. They also feasted on some bad beat up defenses,
(54:25):
but when they stepped up in class, it wasn't pretty
so and you gotta remember they're traveling across country after
a war and the Eagles basically rested. Everyone should be
healthier or how to buy week, So I think this
is the end of the road for the forty nine ers. Yeah,
I mean, even their backup linebackers are now all hurt.
So yeah, let's go with the Eagles money line, Rams,
(54:47):
Panthers under and Chargers plus three and a half.
Speaker 1 (54:52):
