Speaker 1 (00:01):
Sunday Week seventeen wrapping up, and we have a day
to discuss.
Speaker 2 (00:14):
We have a couple of days to discuss. In fact,
Welcome to the Favorites presented by DraftKings. I'm your host,
Brandon Kravitz. I feel like we have not talked in days.
I'm joined by my fellow degenerates, Kendra Middleton and Stucky.
Speaker 3 (00:25):
We've got our goats and wotes queued.
Speaker 2 (00:27):
Up, our biggest takeaways from the Christmas slate, the Saturday slate,
and we'll spend most of our time on the Sunday
card that we just witnessed. Plus we've got a fast
pass parlay for you for Rams Falcons.
Speaker 3 (00:40):
How was everyone's day, Kendra? How is your Christmas?
Speaker 2 (00:43):
Give me a nice little bow on what maybe we've
missed the last couple of days.
Speaker 4 (00:48):
I am ready for this week to be over. I
hate Christmas. It's the worst and I had a bad week,
so I'm ready for this week to be over. I'm
ready for it to be next year. I have nothing
nice to say, so I'm not going to say anything
at all.
Speaker 2 (01:00):
You know you and you had yourself a successful season
as well, so I don't know if if I were
you if I'd be that quick to remove myself from
the twenty twenty five season. But we've got one more
week of regular season action and then we'll discuss a
postseason schedule when we get there.
Speaker 3 (01:15):
But Stucky, what about you? How is your Christmas? How
was your betting week?
Speaker 5 (01:19):
Good week and good run lately. So hope to keep
it going, but it's always on to the next I
love this time of the year for figuring out. I
love the playoff simulations, and this week coming up, it's
all about figuring out who is going to rest their
starters and who is not, because most everything is pretty
(01:40):
much decided besides the obvious, right like, you're gonna have
San Francisco Seattle potentially for the division and for the
one seed. Loser then drops to six and then maybe
goes to Philly. You have Baltimore Pittsburgh for the division,
Carolina Tampa, who might be the two worst team in
the division by the way, playing for the division. Maybe
(02:03):
if the Falcons win out, Panthers win the division no
matter what. I don't know if everyone knows that. So
if the Atlanto beats the Rams tomorrow night and the
Rams have no shot of winning the Division. If San
Francisco wins tonight because Seattle won, just throwing that out there,
but it's just trying to figure that out. How much
are team's going to value like going up to the five,
(02:26):
potentially going up to the five line, or you know,
staying at the six or risks dropping to the seven,
like a team like the Chargers. Right, they can't win
the division? Now, how do they treat next week's game?
Because you could go up to the five seed. That
could mean hey, we're going to Pittsburgh, but it also
could mean you're going to Baltimore. So maybe we just say,
let's rest our starters and make sure Herbert and we
(02:47):
don't have any more injuries on the offensive line. The Rams,
for example, I could ramble about this for days. We'll
do that on the podcast this week. But the Rams,
for example, McVeigh historically almost always rests his starters no
matter what. Like obviously if it's for the division, for
a bye, it's different. But like when it just comes
to like all right, I can go up a seed
or two, he says, No, I always choose health. I
don't care where we have to play, But in the
(03:09):
NFC that I mean, it's a pretty big difference between
the five and the six, because the five means you're
going to the you know, the NFC South, you know,
the the Ugly prom Queen, or you're going to Philly.
So yeah, like that's that's trying to figure all that
out Green Bay, for example, you if you're if you're
(03:29):
the floor, you rest everybody, you're the seven last. And
I think he hinted at this, but last year they
played same exact scenario and Watson toward his ACL they
have so many injuries, you rest everyone, you put Clayton
tune out there, Clayton tune Max Brosmer meaningless Week eighteen,
what a game? Uh So Yeah, I can't wait to
(03:51):
dig into all that, which we'll get to with the podcast.
But it's a decent week and it's on to the next.
Speaker 2 (03:58):
I do think that we should get you the Floor
again before we wrap, to just see if we can
go through a couple of these scenarios and see if
there's any value that we should be mopping up. You
don't spend a lot of time on the Sunday episode
looking ahead to the next week, but this will be
a really good week to do that. Before all of
the games are even wrapped up for exactly those reasons.
(04:19):
So we'll get back to that in just a moment.
Second week in a row where I have cooked our
parlay might have to sit out for Week eighteen. Those
damn Panthers, I'll start with. My vote is Carolina who
has won me a lot of money this year. I
did the Action Network twenty twenty five wrapped thing. The
(04:39):
team in sports baseball, basketball, football that made me the
most money this year was the Carolina Panthers. However, we
needed them today to come through and they It's not
like it was just a bad read. I got closing
line value. The game closed at six and a half,
got it at seven and a half. They it had
(05:00):
opportunity after opportunity in the first half, and then had
a chance to cover through the back door at the
end of the game and was just not able to
get it done. A horrible game from Bryce Young and
neither of these teams. The Bucks who lost to the
Dolphins got the cover there. But neither of these teams
deserve to win the NFC South. Neither of these teams
(05:22):
deserve to be in the playoffs. Very salty about the
Sad Cats today, So I'll you know.
Speaker 5 (05:28):
Bryce Young had a bad game, fourteen to twenty four
for fifty four yards.
Speaker 2 (05:31):
Yeah, it was pretty It was pretty pretty awful, pretty
pretty abysmal opportunities to.
Speaker 3 (05:38):
Drive down the field.
Speaker 2 (05:39):
With Sam Darnold looking like he was seeing ghosts in
the first half. I thought the defense played great and
Bryce Young was just a bag of shit today. It
was awful, Kendra, what about you?
Speaker 4 (05:51):
My woe is myself. I chased some incentives that came
out for players and it did not work out in
my favor, and it caused my day to go to shit.
So it's me for chasing incentives. My goat is gonna.
Speaker 2 (06:05):
Can we stop there? Who was the number one incentive
chase that you regret the most?
Speaker 4 (06:09):
Hunter Henry Hunter?
Speaker 3 (06:10):
Henry for sure, he needed he needed eight. He needs eight.
Speaker 4 (06:15):
Catches before the end of the year to hit like
a five hundred thousand dollars incentive in his total for
today I think was four and a half. And I
hit the over because I figured that with their injuries
on the offensive line and all of their injuries at receiver,
that it would have been a Hunter Henry day. And
for some fucking reason, they put up nine thousand points
and my man had like two catches. And then I
(06:38):
also had Sam Darnold for two touchdowns passing. I think
he needs four total to hit an incentive. So yeah,
super fun I've it's funny because last year for me
was Matt like, I could not hit a spread to
save my life, and I was all player props and
I won all of my money on player props. And
this year has been the exact opposite. I've been hit
(07:00):
on spreads and dying with player props. I also last
minute got in on the bills and so that sucked.
But yeah, that's that's how my week has gone.
Speaker 5 (07:13):
Bills, by the way, eight drives into Philly territory twelve points,
they lose because they got an extra point block. The
Eagles win another game that they shouldn't have won. I mean,
they did seventeen plays for seventeen yards, Hurtz didn't complete
a pass in the second half, oh for seven, and
they win I think a third game of the year
because of a blocked extra pointer field goal.
Speaker 2 (07:32):
Well, he also had a Josh Allen passed to year
that yeah, he was wide open. That was just Even
with all of that, still had an opportunity on the
last play of the game to win.
Speaker 5 (07:41):
Yeah, but another thing worth mentioning in that game, the
Bills probably win easily if Allen could move his foot.
Injury was definitely a thing and he just didn't have
the same burst. So Buffalo week eighteen day, who they
the Jets? I think, Jesus Christ, that team is an abomination. Yeah,
(08:05):
they host the Jets. I mean, could you could go
out there and play quarterback and beat the Jets? Maybe,
but I assume you rest out here. I mean you're
the I think there's the seventh seed right now, the difference,
and they don't have the tiebreaker over the Texans or
the Chargers. Like, maybe they could jump up if the
Texans love the Texans play at home against the Colts
and there Riley Leonard is going to start, so maybe
(08:27):
you can jump up to the sixth. But honestly, finally,
Buffalo is afraid of going into England or Denver right now,
So I think you rest everyone up, your Buffalo up. Yeah?
Speaker 4 (08:38):
I agree?
Speaker 3 (08:41):
What about you, Stucky As far as the wote goes
for today.
Speaker 5 (08:44):
Uh, whatte is? Well? My goat is you mentioned the
Action rat my most profitable team in back to back
years the Cleveland Browns. So my goat is the Cleveland Browns.
My guy howd and did enough. He was in there
for only a quarter for to do this.
Speaker 4 (09:03):
What are you guys talking?
Speaker 3 (09:04):
I have fomo?
Speaker 4 (09:05):
What the fuck is going on for?
Speaker 5 (09:07):
What?
Speaker 3 (09:08):
Wait? Yeah, it's that? Is that? Uh? When action rapped?
Speaker 4 (09:11):
Am I old?
Speaker 3 (09:12):
What the fuck? Do you know what Spotify wrapped is?
Are you familiar with?
Speaker 4 (09:16):
You?
Speaker 3 (09:16):
Just pull pull up your ass the same thing.
Speaker 5 (09:18):
On the wh say my action. You'll see it at
the top. It says how you bet in twenty twenty?
Speaker 2 (09:23):
Yeah, oh wait, you're doing this? This is still available? Yeah,
I guess the years ago.
Speaker 5 (09:31):
The end of the year.
Speaker 3 (09:32):
Yeah, we're gonna need.
Speaker 5 (09:34):
He came out. He helped develop that years ago. But
the Browns been my most probityham mainly I just faded
him on the road and bet him at home. Not nothing,
uh no, nothing earth shattering but that game. And my
woade is the Raiders. I mean I love the Raiders
this week and then they decide to fully outwardly tank.
I bet them before all this happened, they shut down Crosby.
(09:55):
What are we becoming the NBA like this? This is
the week seventeen. It's not even week eighteen, and.
Speaker 2 (10:00):
I can't figure out which is the bigger tank of
benching Crosby or still deciding to play Genos Smith.
Speaker 5 (10:06):
We shut down bowers Chin like that was. That was embarrassing.
And then the NFL is that of one of as
one of the two games in the four o'clock slate,
and when the other is the Eagles the most boring
team in the NFL.
Speaker 3 (10:18):
This was not a long time.
Speaker 2 (10:22):
For all the bad four o'clocks that we've had, all
the bad late windows that we've had this season. This
has been a theme on this podcast. I was bitching
about this. This was this the worst one.
Speaker 3 (10:31):
I felt.
Speaker 5 (10:32):
I'd never I never sleep, I never fall asleep. I
don't think I've ever missed an NFL window in my
life or since I, you know, was in middle school.
Watched every primetime game, every every single I'd never fall
I don't think I've fallen asleep. I woke up like
in the miss like eight minutes in the third quarter
because it was just it's the only game. I turned
(10:52):
red zone off and then just had one screen so
it was going to commercials. I'm not used to watching
commercials and do off. So yeah, that was a brutal slight.
But yeah, my goat is the Browns. That there's I've
wrote about this for ten years. I've talked about it
on Twitter for fifteen teams that need to win for
(11:13):
their playfofs playing eliminated teams. Those eliminated teams now are
one twelve over the final two weeks. I guess he's
a one twelve, sixty nine and one against the spread,
sixty one and a half percent somewhere around there. So yeah,
this week, Vikings at home against the Lions, Dolphins against
(11:35):
the Bucks, and the Browns against the Steelers went three
and zero. And yeah, I mean the Steelers, it was embarrassing.
What might get the Ravens into the playoffs is the fan,
the Detroit fan who baited Metcalf into because the Steelers
(11:59):
offense without Metcalf. Because he you could just watch, like
when teams are at the goal line, right, you'll have
a corner and then a safety over top. He draws attention.
They have nobody who can get open, who can beat
man covers. Nobody. I mean, you're Adam Feelnd and Scottie
Miller and mar and mvs no one can get open.
(12:21):
That was just an abysmal game plan from the Steelers.
They were so worried about Miles Garrett getting his record
that they might have cost themselves a playoff Berth. But
I guess Tom and got his nine wins and that's
all that matters. But that was in that like, that's
that's all they were worried about. And then you let
the Browns meet you and hold you at six points.
So yeah, Cleveland gets it done at home again despite
(12:44):
just their offense. They have nothing on offense without Fanning,
and Fanning got hurt. If he's out next week, they
probably get their doors bone Offen Sincy. So yeah, my
goat is the Cleveland Browns, and my wote my goat.
I joined you on that. I ended up joining you on
the Today right now, Mayfield. I mean that team is
(13:06):
like a bottom five team.
Speaker 2 (13:07):
Right now, we're gonna We're gonna have to spend a
moment deciding I might end up betting the Panthers before
the end of this podcast, Kendra, before we move off
of this, I see the excitement on your face.
Speaker 3 (13:17):
I want the update on the action.
Speaker 4 (13:21):
I want you guys to guess my top team and
my bottom team.
Speaker 3 (13:25):
Your top team would be anyone playing the Patriots.
Speaker 5 (13:29):
I would have got the Patriots probably.
Speaker 3 (13:32):
Your top team would be the No, you don't bet
the Jags that much. I'm gonna have.
Speaker 2 (13:38):
You bet the Bengals today. I'm just gonna I know,
you gotta win under your belt there.
Speaker 5 (13:42):
I believe it doesn't count. This is it's like based on.
Speaker 4 (13:46):
Seahawks correct, Cravince, Yes it was. Who do you think
My worst team was not the Patriots? And I am
shocked it was the Cowboys.
Speaker 3 (13:55):
Yeah, we've all gotten drunk on the Cowboys.
Speaker 4 (13:59):
Yeah. I just like it with Dak Prescott was having
like an MVP first half and then I got got
you know.
Speaker 3 (14:06):
How much fun was that? To look through that? It
was cutie.
Speaker 4 (14:10):
I liked her. I liked it. We should do that
again next year. I like it.
Speaker 2 (14:13):
We should definite. I think all three we should do it.
We should do it on the podcast to get.
Speaker 3 (14:16):
Yeah, we should agree.
Speaker 4 (14:18):
That would be fun. I didn't know that it was
a thing and you guys were talking about it, and
I was like, wait, a mite old, what is going on?
Speaker 3 (14:22):
So I my goat would be Drake May.
Speaker 2 (14:25):
I was thinking as I'm watching him light up the
Jets and didn't even play the fourth quarter. By the way,
he had two incompletions, five touchdown passes, didn't play a
whole quarter, and I'm thinking, Okay, this guy's locked up
the MVP, and Matt Stafford's still a heavy favorite to
win the MVP. So I guess blasting the Jets doesn't
exactly do it for the the odds makers out there.
Speaker 4 (14:45):
But I talked about this yesterday on a show that
I did, and everyone seems to be under the impression
that if it's even close, they're going to get it.
Give it to Stafford because he's old and it's like
a career award.
Speaker 3 (14:58):
Yeah, I mean May.
Speaker 5 (15:00):
I mean that May has also played the easiest schedule
of any team over the past thirty years. I don't
know the Patriots to manage to play thirteen backup quarterbacks
in a seventeen game schedule, but they did.
Speaker 2 (15:12):
I feel like the argument is pretty even though obviously
that's the knock against May is his schedule. He doesn't
have Puka Nakua and Devonte Adams and Sean McVeigh calling plays.
Speaker 5 (15:22):
Yeah no, they don't. There's a running game not as
good of an offensive line. But I mean, these things
are sometimes just career awards, their narrative awards. So this guy'sn'
god in a while. I actually think that it probably
is May who's been the I mean, you think about it.
The offensive line is not great, the wide receiver room
(15:44):
it's not anywhere close to the Rams. The running game
is not overly efficient. The defense isn't outstanding by any stretch. Yes,
they've had a very easy schedule, but he's been tremendous.
I think, like in a vacuum, May deserves it. But
I can why Stafford is the favorite. Maybe that's a reason.
(16:05):
I don't know. I mean, maybe that plays into what
the Rams do over the final two weeks because the Rams,
legitimately mcday always opts for Rest and then and if
if the forty nine ers win tonight, like there is
I mean, like, how much do you value going from
the six to the five? That's the only decision for
the Rams left this season.
Speaker 2 (16:24):
But yeah, I mean May is plus one eighty. Maybe
there's some value there if Stafford. Let's say Stafford plays
poorly on Monday night and then doesn't even play next week,
and May has another good game.
Speaker 5 (16:40):
Wars aren't aren't my specially, so I don't know what's
fair there.
Speaker 4 (16:45):
Who is the primetime Who's primetime this week? Because that
might let us know ahead of time if they need
to win. Oh, everything's flexed, so we don't know what.
Speaker 5 (16:53):
We don't know the schedule. We have no you know
the schedule.
Speaker 4 (16:56):
Tomorrow night during Yeah, I was gonna say once we
know the schedule, like we can figure out if the
Patriots will have the opportunity to rest people or not.
Speaker 2 (17:06):
There's two lines that I want to talk about before
we get to Sunday Night Football and our Monday Night
Football Fast Pass parlay. The Bucks opened as three and
a half point favorites at home against the Carolina Panthers.
The Ravens are three point favorites in Pittsburgh. Lamar is
supposed to be back for this game, so that's definitely.
Speaker 5 (17:27):
The new came rising, this Lamar Jackson thing every week
if you follow college football. But now Kendrick I will say,
there are obvious primetime flexes because we have Panthers, Yeah,
two raven Steelers and then Seahawks forty nine ers.
Speaker 4 (17:49):
But Chargers it's Chargers Broncos.
Speaker 5 (17:53):
Yeah, I mean that game is not that intriguing because
the Bronco has already won the division. But the the
NFL will make sure that the other games. It's the
first priorty is like, hey, let's flex, We'll sacrifice competitive
advantage because we want the best game in primetime because
at the end of the day, it's about ratings. But
so those are the three nominees. The rest of the games,
(18:13):
they'll all be at the same time, so like they
will force the Broncos and Patriots both the yea, I just.
Speaker 4 (18:20):
Wonder because that kind of answers like two of the three,
but I don't know what the third will be for primetime.
Speaker 5 (18:27):
No, that's that's that's gonna be all three Seattle sand
Fran even.
Speaker 4 (18:31):
Though Seattle sand Fran might not matter.
Speaker 5 (18:33):
No, it's gonna matter no matter what. But it might
if if if San Francisco wins tonight and then the
Rams have nothing to play for next week except seeding,
but that game will matter for the division and and
one seed, I think. But like the Patriots and the Broncos,
(18:54):
games are not going to go into primetime, so they'll
play at the same time because they want, don't They don't.
They can't have one of those teams get the rest
of their starters because of the one seed, and then
like the rest of the games will all be at
the same time. But Ravens minus three three and a half,
I think, I mean the Metcalf injury is huge. I mean,
if he might be worth a couple of points to
(19:17):
the spread, but we don't. We don't know in Lamar Jackson.
And if Lamar Jackson does play, who which version is he?
I mean, like the Honty that we saw yesterday, it's
better than the hobbled version of Lamar that we've seen.
So tough game to crack. But I don't trust. I
don't trust that Steelers offense without Metcalf. It is brutal.
Speaker 2 (19:40):
Is But I would file this under I did not
play into this the last time these two teams played.
Speaker 3 (19:47):
But you have.
Speaker 2 (19:49):
Hardball and Tomlin head to head with a spread that's
at least three. You take the dog. Then you have
the Steelers at home. Here conventional wisdom would say bet
the Steelers. No conventional I'm not saying it's the play.
Speaker 5 (20:08):
I don't think there's anything to do Earli here. I mean,
we don't know in Lamar. I think three is about right,
So I mean, if you wanted to take the hook, fine,
but that's that's a huge that's going to decide so
many Like in the AFC, the difference between going think
about it, like right now we don't even know the
quarterback and the Ravens aren't. That's spread US three and
a half in Pittsburgh, that five seed. Like, the difference
(20:32):
between going to Baltimore and Pittsburgh is massive. But Evan
and then Tampa, I mean, who wants to I who
wants to beat Tampa hasn't covered in two months, they
haven't covered eight straight games.
Speaker 2 (20:47):
They're giving you the hook on this one. This one's
available in DraftKings right now. Plus three and a half
on the Carolina Panthers. I'm just gonna go ahead and
plant my flag on that now, Yeah.
Speaker 4 (20:58):
No kidding. The meltdown of Bucks Twitter over Liam Cohen.
Speaker 5 (21:03):
Has been I mean, take a look at Liam Cohen leading,
look at Baker this year, look at Trevor Lawrence this year.
That and then look at the Lions and what has
happened to the Lion's office on those other things the
offensive line. But look at what's happened to the Bears
(21:24):
after Ben Johnson left and the Lions. Those were two
of the two of the best offensive minds in the NFL,
leading jobs in the offseason, and their teams that they
left have cratered.
Speaker 4 (21:38):
And the teams that I mean, yeah, you can expect
that more with the Lions though, losing both of them.
Speaker 2 (21:45):
Yeah, and that team still can't stay healthy. They weren't
able to stay healthy last year and it cost them.
They weren't able to stay healthy this year and it
cost Yeah, there's other factors.
Speaker 5 (21:53):
Their offensive line isn't as good, but you can just
tell it's just not. The offense isn't the same without Johnson,
and the Bears offense obviously has gone through the roof.
So but the Liam Cohen effect, you can go back years.
You can go back to Cohen coming to Kentucky one
year leading coming back whenever he goes the offense and
perus when he leaves, it goes down the drain. But yeah,
(22:19):
I mean, I think numbers wise, three, I think three
makes sense on both games. But I would not that
the Bucks with your money, I'll tell you that.
Speaker 2 (22:28):
A cool stat I saw from the Jaggs pr Twitter
about Liam Cullen. He's the only first year head coach
in NFL history to win twelve plus games after taking
over a team that won four or fewer the year prior.
That is impressive stuff. And he's probably not even gonna
win Coach of the Year. Also, Evan Abrams shares in
(22:49):
our chat here that the Buffalo Bills line against the
Jets has already moved three points, went nine and a
half to twelve and a half as we are talking. So,
I don't you advise getting a lot down on Sunday night,
but if you have a good read on how some
of these teams are going to play these situations out,
this might be the day to do it. Because these
this is going to be stuck. You would you at
(23:10):
least agree with the general idea that this will be
the wildest line movement week of the entire NFL season
across the board from now until next Sunday. Yeah, So
if you feel like you have a good beat on that,
then this is the week to take advantage of it. Usually,
I mean, these lines move, but they don't move drastically
outside of injury.
Speaker 3 (23:30):
We're going to see some wild stuff.
Speaker 5 (23:32):
Yeah, that's it's It's gonna be based off of availability
reports and what coaches say, you're going to see a
lot a lot of line movement obviously is if you
have quarterbacks who don't end up starting, you'll see massive swings.
Going back to Evan to bring you in here. I'm
glad to the schedule real quick, so I'm doing this
(23:53):
on the fly. We sadly we don't have any games
next week where teams that are eliminated, ying teams that
need to win right don't think so often that's sad.
That's my favorite part of week seventeen and eighteen. We
got it out of the way with a three game sweep.
Speaker 2 (24:09):
Those will take it, yes, But I mean next week
you get to add three wins to the Ledger.
Speaker 3 (24:15):
There on that trend, there are.
Speaker 5 (24:17):
Just next week do you have like a couple, you know,
three really high profile, high leverage games. And then the
rest of the card is for example, like if you're
the Eagles playing the Commanders, the Eagles right now are
the three seed. If the Bears lose tonight, the Eagles
(24:40):
are still the three seed, And if the Bears win
the night, the Eagles are locked into the three seed.
But let's say the Bears, who are underdogs, lose tonight,
then Philly has to make a decision do we play
our starters next week with the hope, you know, risking injury,
with the hope that the Bears lose to the Lions
(25:02):
at home because the Bears have the tiebreaker of the Eagles.
So yeah, I could see Philly resting starters next week.
Speaker 3 (25:13):
That line up right now as we speak, probably for
that reason if.
Speaker 5 (25:17):
They if the Eagles rest starters, their offense will probably
look better. So take that for what it's worth.
Speaker 2 (25:23):
Let's get to get our Sunday Night football preview and
a Monday Night Football fast pass parlay to get to.
But first let's call toss it over to Kendrim Middleton
for a word about DraftKings.

Speaker 5 (26:08):
All right, thanks Kendri. But Brandon, how you wanted to
talk about the high profile games? Let's I want to
talk about these two spreads. Ola Duken six point road
favorite in Vegas? What number do you need to play
to play Vegas? Who was obviously trying to lose and
sitting out players? And I mean, Ola Duken is a
(26:30):
six point road favorite?
Speaker 3 (26:32):
Did they not wait? Did they not already lock up
the number one pick? Though?
Speaker 5 (26:36):
I think the Giants get it. If the Giants lose,
the Raiders win. Haven't you checked that?
Speaker 3 (26:41):
I'm pretty sure that's correct, even though the Giants.
Speaker 5 (26:45):
I think with the loss today, the Raiders get it.
But maybe I'm.
Speaker 2 (26:49):
Yeah, I believed so it wouldn't wouldn't the first Tipe
Raker be head to head and the Giants beat the Raiders,
so the Giants wouldn't then jump the Raiders.
Speaker 4 (26:57):
I thought the Giants had to lose today. I hate
the crap at the end of the season and you're like,
what is going on? Who is going where? So stressful?
Speaker 3 (27:06):
I kind of like getting a Kenny Pickett led Raiders team.
Speaker 5 (27:09):
I don't think it's sad ahead for that though, Tuck,
He's right. With the loss today. With the loss today
to the Giants, the Raiders now have an eighty percent
chance to scare the number one pick. So yeah, the
Raiders have to lose next week to guarantee it, so
they'll be in full time Like who wants to bet
the Raiders next week? But who wants to?
Speaker 2 (27:24):
Let?
Speaker 5 (27:24):
You want to lay six with a little duke? And
I don't that game that that'll go in the late slate,
that that's the four o'clock the Raiders. Get the Raiders
out of my life with these three two to three
game late slates and it's the Raiders. We just completely awful.
Speaker 3 (27:37):
Game should be canceled.
Speaker 2 (27:38):
The last time the Raiders had the number one pick,
by the way, anybody want to take a gander at
who they took to Marcus, that would be the one
last time they had done it was. In fact, it
was the only time the Raiders have ever had the
number one pick.
Speaker 3 (27:51):
They Marcus Russell My.
Speaker 5 (27:53):
Other favorite game is uh, I know that uh uh
the Viking Uh O'Connell came out and said he wants
JJ to play in the finale. For like another data point,
But there is a chance that right now Clayton Tune
is a six point favorite over the Packers, who are
(28:14):
obviously going to rest everybody that their team next week
will look like a practice squad team. Uh with uh,
who's who? Who's to who came in again for them? No,
it's Brosmer is a sixsmer against like Clayton Tune. Brosmer's
a six point favorite over over Clayton Tune. Could be JJ,
(28:35):
but think about Brosmer. They just had three net passing
yards listed as a potential six point favorite. But yeah,
I mean, how do you play the Packers? But there's
a number that's a price for everything. I'll say that
I gotta figure out this week.
Speaker 2 (28:48):
Like Evan, Evan, I have a suggestion for the primer.
I would love to know if there's a way trend
wise to bet into these totals with teams that are
benching players, because you would think that things are going
to look a lot more like the preseason, and if
these numbers are still sitting around the fifties. I feel
like there's gonna be some value on unders going into
week eighteen, but I don't know that.
Speaker 5 (29:09):
Are most of the games that are garbage that don't
matter though. We're sitting at thirty nine, thirty seven, thirty five,
so they're very much priced in. But for you, Brandon.
Speaker 3 (29:19):
Anything, Wow, you're too kind. All right?
Speaker 5 (29:22):
What's the Raiders total? Thirty three indoors thirty five and
a half right now? I mean that game is that
game is something because the Chiefs want to lose too,
like they wanted to beat the Broncos on Christmas Night,
but they want the best that we have, the Raiders
finishing back to back games against teams that don't want
(29:42):
to lose, although the Giants are too stupid of an
organization to lose.
Speaker 3 (29:45):
Back to the great anytime touchdown with Travis Kelcey sitting goodbye.
Speaker 2 (29:50):
I mean we got Giants, the Giants, Cowboys. Half those
teams have nothing.
Speaker 5 (29:54):
I actually respect the Giants for trying and playing. This
isn't the NBA. There's only eighteen weeks, but back to
back years, almost one year to the day of Art,
Giants win a game and lose the number one pick potentially,
but I'm assuming they rold On.
Speaker 4 (30:10):
To be fair, I don't even think it really matters
because it's not like the Giants need a quarterback and
that's what the Raiders are going to want, so like
it doesn't even matter.
Speaker 5 (30:18):
But I mean it does for like leverage, like if
you think of like you could trade it and you
could trade back and like, because what does this win
really mean? But you know, I respect teams for playing,
but from an organization perspective, it probably didn't make the
most sense, Like you should have just put Russ out
there or.
Speaker 4 (30:38):
Pete Carroll done.
Speaker 3 (30:40):
Yeah, yeah, he's done.
Speaker 2 (30:41):
And they're going to draft a new quarterback too, so
they're going to want to get him a new shiny
offensive coach too as well.
Speaker 5 (30:48):
I just don't like where this is. I don't like
this NFL teams outwardly tanking. This doesn't happen usually. Sometimes
it happens to organizational decisions in like the last week,
but with two weeks to go, Max Crosby, who wanted
to play, and you're just saying no, we're shutting you down.
I don't like that.
Speaker 3 (31:07):
But the Raiders are a clown organization.
Speaker 2 (31:09):
Let's talk Bears forty nine Ers the Niners, favored by
three and a half total, sitting at fifty one and
a half. Both teams have locked up a playoff spot,
but both are still fighting for seating in the NFC.
As we have discussed on tonight's episode, San Francisco has
been significantly better than anybody who is giving them credit
for this season. Defense is obviously an issue, and it
(31:31):
could be a problem tonight going up against a really
potent Chicago Bears offense. But apparently Chicago folks are reporting
that there are illnesses that are spreading around the locker room.
So I don't know how bad or how many players
this has impacted, but still this is a more you
know situation.
Speaker 5 (31:46):
I like nch division, itis, like the I like.
Speaker 2 (31:50):
The forty nine Ers. Tonight, Kendra, are you on anything
for the Sunday Night Action?
Speaker 4 (31:56):
I honestly think outside of our responsibilities, I'm probably done
gambling into the postseason.
Speaker 3 (32:00):
Then it was that ugly today.
Speaker 4 (32:03):
Ken No, I just said this hard no no, I
said this the other day, like, I just don't love
these last couple of weeks, this one, particularly because of
Christmas and everything going on. I just there's too many
variables about people who need to win and need to lose,
and I hate betting on games like that. I just
(32:24):
I'm ready to move on to the postseason.
Speaker 3 (32:25):
I've had enough.
Speaker 5 (32:27):
Evan's gonna fill in for Kendra. Evan likes, You'll.
Speaker 3 (32:32):
Just be over here cheering. Yeah, you're doing great.
Speaker 5 (32:37):
First touchdown eight to one. That's a horrible price. That's
one Evan has already started drinking for the new year.
Luke Farrell eighty to one, first touchdown. I have nothing
to night. I mean with the illness, is Kittle being
I think Kittle got ruled out right, he is out.
That's a big loss, Like that's not obviously not just
(32:58):
because of what he can do in the passing game,
but his blocking always just takes the forty nine ers
offense to another level. The Bears have a bunch of
injuries too that they're dealing with an illnesses, and I
have nothing. I think the line is close to about fair.
Speaker 2 (33:20):
So Tan just by the way back upside end for
the forty nine ers plus two fifty five to get
into the end zone.
Speaker 3 (33:26):
McCaffrey is a wild minus two fifty.
Speaker 2 (33:29):
I think a good way to bet McCaffrey though, if
you want to go anytime touchdown, you can bet him
first half at plus one thirty and then if you're
just that desperate to bet them live, you'll probably get
plus money after halftime.
Speaker 3 (33:42):
That'd be my wife my way.
Speaker 2 (33:43):
If you if you just have to get McCaffrey on
your card, you would not do that.
Speaker 5 (33:47):
I mean, I would not recommend just betting them first half.
And you you get desperate bet them live, people.
Speaker 3 (33:51):
Well never, I mean you should not. You shouldn't chase.
Speaker 2 (33:55):
But you know, I just understand the betting habits of
people that are listening to this, and that's the way
that I would go about it.
Speaker 3 (34:02):
But yes, you should not get that sprit. That's a
bad idea.
Speaker 5 (34:06):
So Bears win and UH Bears win tonight, Bears beat
the Lions. Next week, San Francisco beat Seattle Bears one
seed Nuts Bears win tonight, beat the Lions, and San
(34:28):
Francisco beats the Seahawks. Bears are the one seed and
additionally Chargers UH beat the Broncos next week, and UH
Jags beat the Titans and the Dolphins beat the Patriots.
(34:54):
That's how your Jags get to the one seed.
Speaker 3 (34:56):
I know it's ugly. It's so ugly. Also kind of
doable with those especially.
Speaker 4 (35:04):
The Dolphins playing in January at Foxborough. Are you insane?
Speaker 5 (35:10):
I mean, I think the Patriots have to play. Is
there a line off of that game yet?
Speaker 3 (35:15):
I have not for the Patriots Dolphins game.
Speaker 2 (35:18):
Yeah, ten and a half on draft.
Speaker 5 (35:23):
They they're going to schedule them at the same time
as the Broncos, and then there's a chance that the
Chargers sit guys, So the Patriots I don't know, so
like the Patriots could just say, like, based on what
the Broncos are doing, they could end up eventually sitting us.
I don't know. We'll get to that during the week.
By the way, Miles get Monday My Football. Miles Garrett
(35:45):
on today's game versus Pittsburgh. To an extent, they were
more worried about keeping me this is the quote. To
an extent, they were more worried about keeping me away
from Aaron Rodgers and getting the win. That's what came
back to bite them. I was screaming that the entire game. Uh,
imagine sacrificing your playoff chances so that you weren't on
a highlight hub. Miles Garrett getting the record unbelievable.
Speaker 2 (36:07):
That's why they say throw out the record books when
these teams play each other for that exact reason.
Speaker 3 (36:12):
Monday Night Football.
Speaker 2 (36:22):
Rams at Falcons Falcons seven point dogs total at forty
nine and a half. Let's get to our DraftKings. Monday
Night Football fast pass parlay before we settle in for
the night game.
Speaker 3 (36:34):
Number has been.
Speaker 2 (36:35):
Beaten up a little bit, but at a touchdown and
an extra point. I still like the hard charging Atlanta Falcons.
I don't think they quite qualify for the stucky trend
of team that needs to win against a team that's eliminated.
Speaker 3 (36:49):
They don't qualify.
Speaker 2 (36:50):
However, I do like the way the Falcons have looked
the last couple of weeks. Plucky and the Rams are
still without DeVante Adams that impacts them offensively. Pooka Nakua
seems like at least once a game he has to
be checked out by somebody. If there's even a question
in this game. As we inch closer to the postseason,
(37:11):
they will remove him from the football game. I like
the Falcons here catching seven. Kendra, what about you?
Speaker 4 (37:18):
I'm gonna go with Pooka for an any time. He
just it seems like a guarantee every single week, So
in a parlay, I'm going to chase it at the
price minus one fifty I think it is on draftings.
I think I just checked that it has changed since
our podcast started, So I want to make sure you.
Speaker 3 (37:34):
Are correct, Stucky round out the fast pass.
Speaker 5 (37:38):
I like the Falcons too, I think to offensive line
injuries to DeVante Adams, I will let's go with I mean,
I'm going to check these prices, but uh should we
go because I was going to go with the Falcons.
I'm doing this on the fly.
Speaker 2 (37:57):
You still want Kolbe Parkinson. We would have two rams touchdowns.
This would be a very non related parlay.
Speaker 5 (38:05):
Let's go Bijon forty plus uh receiving yards.
Speaker 4 (38:11):
All right, okay, wow, okay, okay, that's so we have.
Speaker 5 (38:16):
That would be what's that pay plus four.
Speaker 2 (38:19):
Fifty boom Falcons plus seven Pukakua anytime touchdown score Bjeon
Robinson at least forty receiving yards at plus four fifty
over on DraftKings where the crown is yours the favorites.
We'll return on Tuesday, back to a normal schedule next week.
Speaker 3 (38:39):
I believe we are going to be right here.
Speaker 2 (38:41):
On the Action Network YouTube page talking week eighteen in
the NFL, and we are gonna give Stocky the fed.
Speaker 5 (38:48):
I don't think we would be regular.
Speaker 3 (38:51):
Okay, well let's well, let's then let's check.
Speaker 5 (38:54):
We might do everything on Tuesday.
Speaker 3 (38:55):
Yeah, oh, we'll talk about that after the sea. We're
gonna have a side bar about this.
Speaker 5 (39:01):
But sometime. We'll definitely be back Tuesday, and.
Speaker 2 (39:04):
We're definitely going to give Stucky the floor for at
least fifteen minutes to break down all the machinations of
what teams need to do and don't need to do
so that we can.
Speaker 3 (39:13):
We look forward to it. Good luck with all of
your bets tonight.
Speaker 2 (39:15):
We'll see you next time here on the Favorites presented
by Draft.
