Speaker 1 (00:00):
Chris Childs was from Bakersfield, like the outskirts of LA.
That home game the Lakers, he ended up buying sixty
tickets to that game because he wanted all his family
there to be there. Kobe called himself like, hey, I
got him right, and he's being super physical with him,
and he hit him with a bow and he said,
a young fella, you know, hey, keep your hands to yourself.
(00:21):
He told him, probably, and Kobe kept doing it, trying
to get in his head, which he was known to do,
you know what I mean, if you're allowed him And
he said, he did it one more time and it
actually like hurt you know what I mean, Like it
really hurt him really bad.
Speaker 2 (00:36):
And then that's when he kind of threw the punch
two piece.
Speaker 1 (00:39):
He caught him off guard. Obviously, Kobe's the young star,
you know. Chris Childs was saying, if it would have
happened in current day, he would be off the league.
Speaker 3 (00:48):
Yeah. Easy.
Speaker 2 (00:54):
Welcome back to another episode of the greatest of their era.
Speaker 3 (00:57):
It was good, Doc was good.
Speaker 4 (01:00):
Trade was going on in another week another episode. I'm
excited for this when we're talking about some trash talkers.
Speaker 3 (01:06):
It ain't really it's.
Speaker 4 (01:07):
Not really my lane and what I do on the floor,
But I got some insight growing up in the nineties and.
Speaker 3 (01:14):
My dad playing in the league during that time.
Speaker 4 (01:16):
So I'm ready to debate with you and talk to
you about some of the best trash talkers in the
nineteen nineties.
Speaker 1 (01:22):
Man, before we jump into it, man, you know this
is about to gift the gap, you know, getting under
somebody's skin in your playing career so far? Who has
gotten under your skin?
Speaker 3 (01:34):
Like you can?
Speaker 1 (01:34):
Honestly like, Yo, I hate playing against this person. It
really bothered me? Or are you just like I just
tune it out.
Speaker 4 (01:41):
I don't tune it out. I kind of enjoy it.
I don't know if anybody really got under my skin.
I've obviously get it passed. I told the Draymond story
about how we when we match up, He's always chirping.
You got the guys you play against, and you know
you know what's coming when you get on the floor.
You know that's part of that game. That's who they are.
They're gonna talk to you on the floor. I mean,
Russ is kind of one. He's going he's trying to
(02:04):
intimidate you, and it works. I guess it might work
for some people, not me really, but I enjoy playing
against guys who trash tar because I can get my
stuff off as well.
Speaker 2 (02:13):
Yeah, I'm literally a mute out there, man.
Speaker 1 (02:15):
So I just I mean, because I just don't it's
cool if somebody's talking, like, especially if I'm not shooting, well,
I'm going to be like annoyed because I'm like really
trying to find it. So I really ain't even wasting
my time with that. But like, I always enjoyed it
as a fan, and I think the more and more,
especially in the nineties when it was a little bit
(02:36):
more fluid, you weren't getting tacked up so much. Like
now y'all can't even look at somebody in that direction.
Y'all go get a text. So it's just a little different.
But man, it's some great trash talkers on this list,
and I can't wait to discuss because you know, these
guys not only talked trash, they backed it up and
(02:58):
it kind of established a thing because other guys, especially
youall generation, saw them trash talk and then got influenced
to like carry on to the next generation that it
was okay, you know what I mean.
Speaker 4 (03:09):
Yeah, I feel like it's more it's more rare in
today's game just because that's the like the culture of
the game is, like you mostly trash talking in the nineties,
it led to some physicality. Trash talking and physicality kind
of with one on one because you could enforce what
you were saying kind of with harder play. You could
if somebody went to the lane they were talking to
(03:29):
you all game, you can put them on the ground
and you weren't gonna get teed up. You're you're worried
about getting thrown out of a game today, you got
to toe that line. You kind of got to get
it in quiet and quickly. You can't go across the
line because obviously you see the one think they think
you're faking because you know you're not gonna fight, or
you're not gonna get physical with it, or you gotta
watch out forgetting text like you said. So it's it's
(03:51):
kind of more of a it's harder to get in
in today's game and be consistent with it. And then
you have those and I think it's two different kinds
of trash talkers. You got the guys who are who
cuts you sharp and who are gonna talk about some
guys that just hit you rarely, but when they say something,
it's gonna be a good one. You got guys who
are volume with it, who you know it coming forty
(04:11):
eight minutes every night, gonna talk. And you got guys
who don't say anything at all, so it's hard to
talk trash to them.
Speaker 1 (04:18):
Before we go to the nineties, I think it's interesting
how there's different levels of trash talk now in this era,
because if it doesn't make it to the court, it
makes it to social media. Sometimes it makes it in
the media, you know what I mean, because players are
you know, media now and they're kind of taking these
little shots at each other and things of that nature.
So it's interesting to see where you're getting it from
(04:40):
different angles. You're even getting it from the fans now,
so it's like, you know, it can serve as a
motivation or sometimes it can be you know, a negative,
you know what I mean.
Speaker 3 (04:50):
That's a good point. That's a good point. What do
you think about this?
Speaker 4 (04:52):
Because when I know, when I'm on the courting in
games or even before games in public, you gotta worry
about the the camera foint, you got to worry about
what you say turn into a viral clip, right, So
you think, do you think it might have been more common?
Another reason that's more common than nineties because they can
get away with tons and tons of trash. Like the
only way you're that what they say on the floor
(05:14):
is getting magnified is if you're catching on TV. Maybe yeah, but.
Speaker 2 (05:19):
Or course I seats experience, you know what I mean.
Speaker 4 (05:21):
Yeah, but that's you got to be in the building
for that. It's not gonna you're not gonna have to
live with that for forever.
Speaker 1 (05:26):
Yeah, it wasn't even miked up like that unless you
got a documentary or something like that. So I think
it's more of the fan experience heightened to get a
real feel.
Speaker 2 (05:34):
But I think I always joke.
Speaker 1 (05:36):
Around and say I would pay for an ESPN premium
if they allowed us to hear you guys curse, you
know what I mean, Like full unfiltered, Like you pay
for that premium like thirty nine ninety nine a month
or whatever for the channel it could be one hundred bucks.
And it's just the R version, you know what I mean,
Like you get everything, but you also you guys also
(05:57):
are not getting fined for what you say. You literally
just like letting it have, Like I mean, cause y'all
adults not understand that this game also shapes children and
how they're you know, the professionalism of the game and
and and the amateurism and all those type of things
when you playing different levels.
Speaker 2 (06:14):
But I just think that it just adds a new spice.
Speaker 1 (06:17):
It's the same thing as the NFL where if you
stop the touchdown celebrations, now it's like the no fun League,
you know what I mean. So same thing with the
nineties trash talk, you know what I mean. Like that's
why it almost comes off. It's like they can say
aar league was better because we got to do this,
and it make them look a little bit more tougher.
Speaker 4 (06:36):
I think that's what makes NFL film so good, like
those that behind the scenes where you can everybody feels
like miked up on the on the sideline on the field.
You catch some of those those clips and what they're
saying on the floor that you don't catch on TV.
And it's not even like in the NFL. It's not
even a court side seat. And that's why courtside seats
is so good because you get to hear and see
everything up close. Like explain for you as a fan
(06:59):
going to a game, Explain what it's like being courtsided,
how that's different from obviously watching on TV, but even
being five six rows up, Like what's that experience like
as far as guys talking tracks to each other and
talking to fans and things like that.
Speaker 1 (07:13):
So just like being in that courtside club, you know
what I mean, and just kind of hanging out. I mean,
you got you got plays, you got player chatter, you
got somebody chirping at the you know, if y'all give
give them, give a fan attention for like two seconds,
you know what I mean, Like, he better he better
be quiet because you're gonna get me going. You might
hear that, you might hear some low post action where
(07:36):
it's a guy he can't guard me, he can't shoot you.
Hearing all that little banner or that player chatter out there.
That's just like it's just a true feel experience. If
you ever played the game, it never really changed. It's
almost like if you was playing open gym. But y'all
just so like you know, y'all playing at the highest level,
so it's almost like an awe, like they're just like us,
(07:57):
you know what I mean. And it's kind of like
since you got since it's such a buttoned up product
and it's so clean and like that, it's an all
factor that there's profanity being used, or hey, somebody's frustrated,
Like you know, I don't know if you have that tendency,
but I watched the brother fleeing his mouth beast right
when he's frustrated. Most people don't get that type of thing.
(08:21):
When you're watching from a television or you're in the
two hundred three hundred thing, you get to see why
he's frustrated, or how y'all talking to the refs and
knowing them by their first name, because y'all gott to
know their name.
Speaker 2 (08:31):
You can't be like twenty seven. You gotta get you know,
y'all gotta know.
Speaker 1 (08:35):
That's another thing I don't think fans gotta like, no,
before you even go to the game, you gotta know
their names.
Speaker 3 (08:41):
And that's all that.
Speaker 4 (08:42):
Yeah, Like you don't get like you're on the bench
or you're watching the game up close, you catch all
the little insights and you get to see people react
in the heat of the moment, like some of this
stuff people say, and I know players say on the
floor like they don't have time. They don't mean it.
They just you're in a competitive battle. A call might
not go your way, you might get hit with an
elbow or something. You snap, lose your temper for a second,
(09:05):
and it's like oh and they end up five minutes
later in the game they back.
Speaker 3 (09:09):
Cool with whoever they got into it with. They talking.
Speaker 4 (09:12):
They talking to the ref, friendly at a free throw
line or something. They're not arguing with the ref or
even a fan court side. They might have been chirping.
What you get to the end of the game in
the fourth quarter, they say, what's up?
Speaker 3 (09:22):
What's your name?
Speaker 4 (09:22):
I'm like, oh, I've enjoyed it talking to you tonight.
Stuff like that. It's just stuff you miss watching the game.
Speaker 2 (09:30):
It almost feels like deleted scenes. Yeah, yeah, you know
what I mean, Like you're like, oh, this is up.
Speaker 1 (09:35):
That's why the price of a mission is worth it
when you're trying to heighten your experience, because like, if
you've never been down there, you're not going.
Speaker 2 (09:43):
To be like like, I don't get it. Why would
I pay for that? You know what I'm saying.
Speaker 1 (09:47):
And it's like it's unfortunate obviously, because this era of
people might be on their phone, so they really wasting
the money and they're not really locked in. It's like
y'all inviting them into that sacred space when you're that cool.
Speaker 4 (09:58):
To me, there's no better like experience as a fan
then being course out of the NBA game.
Speaker 3 (10:03):
You think the NFL, you can't.
Speaker 4 (10:05):
Get close to the field, Baseball is you may may
be right behind home play, you're still far away. Hockey,
you might behind the glass.
Speaker 1 (10:17):
Yeah, like somebody literally can knock your drink over, somebody
can literally landing your lap. Be like a lot of
stuff can happen in that dynamic, so you kind of
got to be paying attention. And I think it's just like, yeah,
it's just like you mentioned, it's it's the m fan
experience like to to really sell it in, especially if
it's a player that you really like and you're a
(10:38):
fan of. And then also some of those matchups that
are heated rivalries and things that you know like that's
going to heighten that experience, so you know.
Speaker 4 (10:46):
The aura, you can feel the aura of the players.
Like like, let's get into the first guy we're going
to talk about.
Speaker 1 (10:53):
Okay, So Gary Page nicknamed the Glove for you know,
his his defensive efforts, you know, just basically defensive with
but also his trash talk. He never backed down and obviously,
you know, uh to some or Maine, mostly to most,
Michael Jordan's the Goat and you know, and that that series,
you know, Gary Payton's talking trash like you know, like,
(11:15):
oh man, you know I almost you know, I had
Mike flustrated, like, you know, flustered and all that. And
you know, obviously in the last Dance there's that that
conversation with Michael Michael Jordan's Lilac the Glove said that
man watch out like like, but Gary Payton could back
it up.
Speaker 2 (11:30):
He literally can.
Speaker 1 (11:31):
Like he's almost like a corner he could shut down
aside of the basketball court and also just be you know,
like people forget he six' four and physical and he's.
Intimidating he has that Bay area you, know like never
back down attitude and, gonna you, know gonna bring. It
so what's what what what was your you, know like
(11:54):
Watching Gary payton as a, kid like how did how
did he make you? Feel like in that, experience.
Speaker 4 (12:00):
He's in that category of he's a volume trash, Talker
like that's that's literally who he is. Nowadays, yeah he's
not one of those guys who when he gets on
the floor he transforms into a different person or a different.
Personality that's that's who he is even to this. Day
you see him In starting five when he was he's
on he's in the, crowd he's talking trash TO kd
who's playing in the game like he that that fire
(12:22):
is just that's who he is and that help him
be the player he. Is, SO i, mean whether it's
talking trash To John, STOCKTON, mj whoever he's playing, against
the entire game he's IT'S i remember watching or even
watching the old highlights of. Him it's interesting when he
getting subbed out the, game he's talking trash to his head,
coach like his teammates and his And George carl on the,
(12:43):
sline he's he's getting into it with him and they
get into it back and forth because he. Can't he's
just running his. Mouth that's who he is as a,
competitor as a, person and that added to his allure
and his persona as a. Player THAT i, mean you
think Of gay ain't obviously think of his, defense his.
Matchups WHEN mj in the, finals but the way he
(13:05):
entertained you by talking the entire.
Speaker 3 (13:07):
Game. Yeah.
Speaker 1 (13:08):
Absolutely you mentioned MJ's trash talk is kind of crazy
BECAUSE i just seen a clipped other day With Derek.
Martin they're playing against The bullets at this, time and,
they're you, know they're up, fourteen like ten minutes. Ago
george's not shooting the ball, well And Derek martin goes
to the bench, like, Yeah, mike like you ain't shooting the,
(13:29):
ball you know WHAT i. Mean, like And i'm, like
it's almost, like don't poke the. Beer he had that type,
like no leader, Safe i'm stalling you. OUT i might
not be having the best, game but if you give
me a reason to kind of care about a regular
season game In, Washington i'm gonna turn it.
Speaker 2 (13:46):
Up and that was the, thing you know WHAT i.
Speaker 1 (13:48):
Mean like some people call him Black Jesus, black you,
know the black, CAT.
Speaker 2 (13:54):
Mj you're airing, this you know WHAT i?
Speaker 1 (13:55):
Mean, LIKE i always love like the conversation Of Baron
davis playing against him when he was In. Washington he
said he got up on him and it was like
he could Smell mike. Cologne he was just, like like
you mentioned the oors just kind of like Brou he
ain't even gonna respect, you. Brouh you just like fanned.
Out he wants you to bring it to, him you
know WHAT i. Mean AND i think those are the
(14:16):
moments Because Michael jordan's just so ready for the challenge
whenever he possibly could, Man AND i think that was
like the best part about, it because he literally instilled,
fear like you know WHAT i, Mean like guys telling
don't talk like you, know.
Speaker 3 (14:32):
Don't get into. That he will.
Speaker 4 (14:34):
Say you had veterans who played against him for a.
While and then you have the young rookie as a second,
year guys, who, OH i ain't. Scared i'm gonna SHOW
i ain't scared Of. Mike i'm gonna talk some trash to.
Him and then they're not the ones who have to guard.
Him they're not the ones who gotta deal with. Him
so it's like you got the vests telling the young
dudes on the team they don't say nothing To michael
and don't get him riled. Up he's good, enough he's the.
Ultimate if you get him, going it's only gonna make
(14:55):
it harder for. Us SO i, mean he might say
something to, you don't even get into it with. Him
he's the ultimate guy who can back up his trash
talk and you just you just deal with it like
he's cutting you sharp with it with. Knives just, oh
hes gonna tell you what he's gonna do before he does.
It and then you got the ultimately the clip where
he's at the free throw line TALKING i think it
was The kemba, Saying i'm about to watch this he
(15:17):
shooting out the free throw with the eyes.
Speaker 3 (15:18):
Closed, yeah that's that's that's. Trash that's part of.
Speaker 1 (15:21):
Trash that's part of trash, talk y'all not even. Good
i'm gonna take this free throw, off, bro like, this you,
know you bet some. Money he was literally saying that.
Speaker 4 (15:30):
Crazy, hey we could probably do a top ten clips
of trash.
Speaker 3 (15:36):
TALK i got so.
Speaker 1 (15:39):
Many yeah that that, dude, man you, know and that
probably was maybe that wasn't even my favorite part of his,
game but like it's just also just an added factor
to the greatness of, it you know WHAT i. Mean,
like and he respected most of the guys that he
went up, against but he was just used to be, like, hey,
man you, know like How drake say, Man ben's players
talking like starters, MAN i hate, It like, bro like
(16:00):
you not even on the court with us right, Now
so why you even talking to? Me?
Speaker 4 (16:04):
Man that's what made the nineties The golden era, too
of like these obviously these guys are. Superstars they know
that they're to play and win games and play, well
but they also came to entertain the fans and people
who paid tickets to come into the to the arena that.
Night it's more than just going In i'm trying to
win the, Game it's Also i'm trying to put on the.
(16:24):
Show and you got it's a select few of superstars
that still do that to this. DAY i think Obviously, Brin,
steph k K, d Even russ like. Something they know
they got to add a little bit more than just
one trying to win the. Game they're trying to put
on the show for people that are that are tuning
In like that's that's still adds to the to their.
Speaker 3 (16:47):
Lore and that brings something more to the.
Speaker 1 (16:48):
GAME i don't know if it's a, correlation BUT i
just got this New jordan book last week and it
has all his accomplishments and in there they've kind of
like laser copied perfect attendance award from high school Right,
Wilmington North. Carolina but they had the perfect attendance in, there,
Right AND i was, thinking what's the correlation of loving
(17:14):
to go to school and not missing a game like
the eighty two? Games like you get What i'm.
Speaker 2 (17:20):
Saying like he.
Speaker 1 (17:22):
Liked it that much to a point of, like, HEY
i didn't miss a day in, school BUT i also
didn't want to miss a game because it was like you,
know that important help Box and he has multiple seasons like.
Speaker 4 (17:34):
THAT i think it's an element of. Professionalism, like, Yeah
i'm sure he. Was he didn't love, school or he
didn't he didn't want to show up every, day or he.
Didn't it was some times we banged up AND i
don't feel like playing the. Night but it's that's WHAT
i was supposed to. Do it's element you know What i'm.
Saying it's the element of. Professionalism it's my job to
show up every day and play and put on the
(17:54):
show for the, fans like he, said BECAUSE i think
he had the famous, quote this might be the only
time to get to see me. Play somebody, here that's
the only time to get to see me. Play SO
i GOTTA i gotta bring it even if it's a
mundane regular season game In, FEBRUARY i gotta show. Up
SO i think he laid that foundation and it's forgot
to carry that.
Speaker 1 (18:13):
On, Yeah wilmington's own got it right there we, Go
Kevin guard NOW. KG i still can't get over this, one,
uh the one moment With joe Kim, noah you know
WHAT i mean Where joe Kim noah's like kind of you,
know this is playing against his hero for the first,
time and he's just, like you, know says something explicit
(18:36):
That i'm not gonna. Say you can go find the,
cliff but just overall like his his his battles and
how he would you, know intimidate.
Speaker 2 (18:44):
Guys he starts the.
Speaker 1 (18:45):
Game off at high like you know WHAT i, mean
like going to talk to, himself go under the basket
and do those antikes and things of that.
Speaker 2 (18:53):
Nature turns into another. Character his blocks are, aggressive. Y'all
can y'all even do?
Speaker 1 (18:59):
That?
Speaker 2 (18:59):
Now can y'all block and yell?
Speaker 4 (19:00):
Something it can't be. Directed it can't be like directly
directed at the. Player you can, yell, yeah say something
like you're talking to, Yourself but if the rest was
like it's directly, direct like pointed right at another. Player
it's a, tech.
Speaker 1 (19:16):
See because the idea of like punching somebody's shot all
the way to like the deep one hundred seeds or
you know WHAT i, Mean Like dad was, intimidation you
know WHAT i, Mean, like, hey, man get that out of,
Here like you know WHAT i, Mean like that WAS,
kg you know WHAT i, Mean golchen it on, purpose
like just establishing. Things and you, know like the only
PERSON i think that really got to him Was Tim
(19:37):
duncan because he wouldn't say nothing to. Him but you
know the other guys like, man they used to just you,
know he didn't say some nice.
Speaker 2 (19:44):
Things he Got CHARLIE v on record and you, know
a bunch of mellow you know what i.
Speaker 1 (19:49):
Mean, like you, know he found a way to get
into guy's, heads, Man AND i think that was pretty pretty.
Cool and the lore about, him you get What i'm,
Saying like he was a very good offensive, player became
a very good defensive. Player but it's the overall. Package
you wanted to go SEE kg because it was going
to be a high level. Performance it was going to
(20:09):
be like almost going to a wrestling, match like and
in this corner like you know WHAT i, mean he
might just do something just that you just didn't, expect,
man and he got it.
Speaker 3 (20:18):
Going.
Speaker 4 (20:19):
Man the funniest thing ABOUT kg IS i remember my
first couple of years in the league AND kg was
on his way. Out he was, older but they literally
had it on the scout report like he was gonna, talk,
trusted he was gonna talk to.
Speaker 3 (20:31):
You so don't let, it don't let it bother. You
you know it's.
Speaker 4 (20:33):
Coming but he used it as a tactic on the,
floor like it was part of his. Game and sometimes
it was overly, personal like he was there was nothing
he wasn't willing to say out. There he was crossing
every line if it was gonna give him a competitive. Advantage, yeah,
SO i mean you gotta respect. It you knew it was,
coming and it still worked every every.
Speaker 1 (20:51):
Night he also got the Classic Eric gordon, clip you
know WHAT i, mean classic.
Speaker 2 (20:56):
Classic he wasn't even suited, up he still was talking.
Speaker 1 (21:01):
The next, guy another Classic Celtic larry, Legend larry Bird.
MAN i heard nothing but crazy stories about his trash.
TALK i mean even to the POINT i felt, like
again you mentioned a sign of playing could be a
part of trash. Talk he played a game shooting with
his opposite. Hand that's clowning to, me you know WHAT i.
(21:24):
Mean or he was telling, guys, hey this is What
i'm about to do BEFORE i do, It like.
Speaker 3 (21:30):
What Like Larry, yeah he, was he. Was, yes he
wanted the ghosts. Too as far as trash.
Speaker 4 (21:36):
TALKING a lot of people don't realize, it but when
you talk to guys in the nineties and eighties who
played against, him there's some fear in there Of Larry
bird just not only his, game but like he was
trying To he was out there trying to embarrass you
and clown you a little.
Speaker 3 (21:51):
Bit like THAT'S i.
Speaker 4 (21:52):
MEAN i think all these guys that are playing on
That Dream TEAM usa, team like imagine their. Practices you
Got larry mj who Was Charles, Bark, like there's so
many people people who are some of the best trash
talkers of the, era but also the best players.
Speaker 3 (22:09):
Playing on the.
Speaker 4 (22:09):
Team like those practices were heated in and we got
a little climpse of it during that. Documentary but Like
larry was one of those. Guys another guy he was
gonna he's gonna tell you what he's gonna. Do before
he did It, adams and he brought the level of
performance to his game like he was trying to put
on a show, Too like he wasn't just trying to
win a.
Speaker 3 (22:28):
Game he had that ass to him and.
Speaker 4 (22:31):
You kind of knew who he, get the kind of
people he grew up around like he was he had
some flat to.
Speaker 2 (22:36):
Him, Yeah, no, absolutely, man he used to get after.
Speaker 1 (22:38):
It this next, Guy Reggie Miller Miller riverside to clearly
utilized his trash talk to get, motivated you know WHAT i.
Mean him And spikeley had those classic. Battles he never backed,
down you, know obviously he has them classic battles With Michael.
JORDANS i, mean the list goes, on you know WHAT i.
Mean he's just constantly talking, trash but he was backing it.
Speaker 2 (22:57):
Up he was super.
Speaker 1 (22:58):
Clutch and you, know like the thing About Reggie, man
he just again, skinny but nas he wasn't soft no
matter how you wanted to come at, him you know
WHAT i. Mean he was willing, to you, know play
play the eighteen seasons that he played with his heart,
out you.
Speaker 2 (23:14):
Know WHAT i, mean on his.
Speaker 1 (23:15):
Sleeve and, man he was definitely one of the fun
ones to watch and obviously has a signature you, know
choke that's.
Speaker 2 (23:22):
Kind of like went.
Speaker 4 (23:23):
Around reggie one of my favorites because like his main trash,
Talking like you see him trash talking and get it.
Going that led to some of his best performances of his.
Career you see more highlights of him playing well and talking,
trash not only to the, players but he was looking
for a celebrity Obviously spike and different people in the
(23:43):
garden to talk trash. Too it's more highlights of him
in the garden or somewhere on the road talk playing
well and talking trash in the midst of. It THEN
i see clips of him playing In indiana with like
he liked going in hostile environments and getting his stuff
off like he thriving off of.
Speaker 1 (24:01):
It, Right i'm seeing a little trend through the, nineties
you know WHAT i. MEAN a lot of these guys
have signature uh trash talk moments like you know that
to get the things started at the.
Speaker 2 (24:11):
Tents and the different. Things you.
Speaker 1 (24:14):
Know another guy that we're mentioning the Late Great mountain
With tumbo to Ken, bai the patting their, fingerwag non
verbal trash, talk you, know WHAT i, Mean like.
Speaker 4 (24:24):
Part of that is because nobody can understand what he was. Saying,
yeah that is that is also.
Speaker 1 (24:28):
True.
Speaker 2 (24:28):
Man but like you, know everybody wanted to dunk on
you know WHAT i. Mean he was the no, no, no.
Speaker 1 (24:34):
It's all he really had to, say, Man and if
you called, him he caught. Him but most of the
time he was making his money at the, rim you
know WHAT i, mean like putting everybody on their. Back
so you, know like he definitely was a funny trash,
talker you know WHAT i. Mean because of how his
delivery was and you know WHAT i, mean everybody expected, me,
man he became more more.
Speaker 4 (24:53):
Lovable, yeah he one of those quick after he made a,
play he was. Talking he want those he canna walk
in the gym and start getting it. Off he's a,
OH i dunk on you OR i block your. Shot
Now i'm gonna get my stuff.
Speaker 2 (25:06):
Off next person we're talking about Is Kobe.
Speaker 3 (25:09):
Bryant.
Speaker 2 (25:10):
Uh you, Know Kobe bryant is known for his trash.
Speaker 1 (25:12):
Talk he uh you, know he's the infamous championship fingers
counting more than.
Speaker 2 (25:18):
You you're not that, good you saw et.
Speaker 1 (25:21):
Cetera, uh our our producers mentioned about The Chris CHILDS uh.
Incident you know WHAT i, mean to fight during during
uh during his uh you know that's it And i'll
probably share. IT i Mean i've told the story. Before
we got a chance to talk To Chris childs and
uh he broke it. Down you, Know Chris childs was From,
bakersfield you, know like the outskirts of L a AND
(25:45):
uh that home game The, lakers he ended up buying
sixty tickets to uh the late that game because he
wanted all his family there to be. There and, Uh
kobe called himself, like, HEY i got him, right and
he's being super physical with, him and he hit him
with a bow and he, said a young, fella you, know,
hey keep your hands to. Yourself he told, him, probably
(26:07):
And kobe kept doing, it trying to get in his,
head which he was known to. Do you know WHAT i,
mean if you allowed, him and he, said he did
it one more time and it actually like hurt.
Speaker 2 (26:18):
You know WHAT i, mean like it really hurt him really.
Speaker 1 (26:21):
Bad and then that's when he kind of threw the
punch and when he did his, piece he caught him off.
Speaker 3 (26:27):
Guard.
Speaker 1 (26:27):
Obviously you, Know kobe's the young star you, Know Chris
child was just, saying if it would have happened in
the current, day.
Speaker 2 (26:36):
He would be out the.
Speaker 1 (26:37):
League, yeah he got hit with the, fine and this
was like a weird.
Speaker 2 (26:43):
Thing but like.
Speaker 1 (26:45):
Allegedly when him And shaq And kobe were, Beefing shaq
offered to pay For Chris child's.
Speaker 2 (26:53):
Fine so it was, like.
Speaker 3 (26:57):
That's one of those we don't know how sure it,
is but everybody's heard.
Speaker 2 (27:01):
That, yeah everybody's heard. It but it was just kind
of crazy about.
Speaker 1 (27:04):
It but, uh you, know Like kobe was known to
get under, God like if you allowed him to punk.
Speaker 2 (27:09):
You he was gonna he was gonna get in your
head and a, lot you.
Speaker 1 (27:12):
Know and we we also seen him go at his,
teammates you know WHAT i, mean playing Against gosoul in
The olympics and just you, know and then trash talking
IS i ain't never heard nobody talking another, language you
know WHAT i, Mean like he he WHEN i got
to do my, rankings he might be at the, top just.
Speaker 4 (27:28):
Because it's hard for. Me it's hard for me to
Put kobe in these rankings because it's the. NINETIES i
feel like his trash talk, evolved like this is One.
Kobe he, Was, yeah he.
Speaker 1 (27:38):
Was they were saying he was arrogant and confident, then.
Speaker 4 (27:41):
But, yeah he just didn't but it didn't stick because He,
yeah when he finally got over the, hump he, won
then he took.
Speaker 3 (27:49):
Off he. Started you know What i'm.
Speaker 4 (27:51):
Saying he got the ultimate complais where he walked on
the floor and he was talking to everybody like His
LIKE i, said his his his trash talk and his
his his antics on the. Floor he vaulved as he
got older in the. League, yeah and by the TIME
i met, him he was he was a full full
blown just out himself talking. Crazy you Met Black, yeah
(28:11):
THE mj trash. Talk, yeah you Met Black. Mama, yeah
When Black mama showed, up it Was Pete kobe trash.
Talk i'm talking to. Everybody don't say nothing to me
or it's over for.
Speaker 3 (28:20):
You.
Speaker 2 (28:21):
Yeah, yeah, absolutely he was. On he was on That
michael type of. Time oh you talking to? Me all,
right all, Right i'm in his game right here at this.
Spot you.
Speaker 4 (28:31):
TALKING i GOTTA i gotta match up old. Ball But
i'm Giving, OH i got, ONE i got, One like
he's he's looking for somebody to talk. To, yeah and that,
was LIKE i, said that was when he finally won
his first championship and he you know What i'm, saying
The nike marketing took over and all that came.
Speaker 3 (28:47):
About and this is.
Speaker 4 (28:48):
Nineties this is Younger kobe where he's he's confident and,
arrogant but he ain't vocal like.
Speaker 2 (28:54):
You, no you pot, you you got you got, me
you got me.
Speaker 1 (28:57):
Thinking so you're, right we're gonna we're gonna push that
on to the two. Thousands we'll See Dennis. Rodman he
played more of a psychological warfare with his opponents because
he was physically touching, them you, know and making them. Uncomfortable,
obviously you, Know rodman was just a spectacle off the,
court you know WHAT i, Mean so during that time
(29:18):
it probably wasn't like well received on the, court but
like you, know his physical presence in his mind games
was kind of getting to especially those battles With carmelong
when they would be. Tangled and obviously they parlayed that
into some money because they end up doing the W
cwn W o.
Speaker 2 (29:32):
Thing but during the, game you, know.
Speaker 1 (29:35):
The, shacks you, Know Larry, birds like especially The detroit,
years they were sending, him hey go do the dirty.
Work go bother this, Person go be physical with, Him
go go. Flop he's like the king of flops and
getting you, know getting guys to get texts and you,
know like that that was in oil pat somebody on the,
butt you know WHAT i.
Speaker 4 (29:54):
Mean was like he was kind of like a performative
antics type type. Guy like he was playing to the
crowd when he got a rebound or he got a,
style he was hyping up the, crowd talking to the.
CROWD i feel like he talked to the crowd more
than the than the individual players on the, floor you
know What i'm.
Speaker 1 (30:09):
Saying he Was he definitely fed on the, energy you
know WHAT i. Mean AND i still don't that one
stretch out rebound where he's trying to save the, BALL
i still. Don't there's no play in basketball that he
should be even making that type of.
Speaker 3 (30:21):
Play that's one of the best sports photos of all.
Speaker 1 (30:25):
TIME i agree because it's, ario but also nobody else
is going to make that, Play like nobody's using, throwing
nobody's using their body throwing it in the rebound where
he's kicking his leg all the way up like he's
just doing like a lot of stuff that just like
it is non characteristic and like if you did, it
(30:46):
you really were trying to be like robbing, me because
like he was not needed.
Speaker 3 (30:49):
For somebody to be a hustle.
Speaker 4 (30:50):
Guy he not scoring over ten, points but to entertain
you like you could on a nightly, Basis like that's
he won on one that's, Special like you to come
into the. GYM i want to See Dennis rodman, hustle get,
rebounds die on the, floor set screens like that's that's
who else is doing stuff like?
Speaker 1 (31:11):
That, well just the ultimate sacrifice, guy you know WHAT i?
Mean like this dude averaged thirty six points in, college
you know WHAT i, Mean like to just turn it
off and, say all, right this is this is What
i'm supposed to. Do Because i'm playing With Isaiah thomas
And Joe dumars and and the rest of the, squad
Or i'm playing With Michael, Jordan Scottie, Pippen i'm not
eve gonna look at the. Basket, YEAH i think he
made one three with the Bulls and it was like
(31:32):
very like look at my, hand you. Know and that's
the THING i used to, learn like WHEN i was,
young BECAUSE i used to think most of the guys
in THE nba if they didn't do one thing because
they stuck to the role so much that they didn't possess,
it you know WHAT i.
Speaker 2 (31:47):
MEAN i thought it was, like, ah, man he can't.
Speaker 1 (31:48):
Dribble man, Terrible and it's like everybody could do everything
at one point in their. Career it's just that they're
not asked to do, it so they're not going to
like pull that out they don't need, to or somebody really.
Speaker 3 (31:59):
BETTER i relate that.
Speaker 4 (32:00):
TO i, mean, yeah everybody in the league was the
best player on the team at some. POINT i relate,
that like GUYS i was talking to a younger guy
about trying to get out of THE g league can
get a chance in THE. Nba so it's like that
fine line of when you get to the, league you're
not getting the majority of the. Shots you gotta find
a little kniss to be able to get on the,
floor right. Yep but in THE g you gotta score
(32:20):
to get noticed to get the. Opportunity you gotta, score
you gotta. Do you gotta be the best player on
the floor to get noticed and get the opportunity at
the next level to find your.
Speaker 3 (32:29):
Role so it's kind Of catch twenty.
Speaker 4 (32:31):
Two And i'm talking about guy Like Dennis rodman who
sacrifice and did, it found his way in the league
by doing stuff that other than scoring even though he
can do he could do that in the.
Speaker 3 (32:41):
Past you can learn a lot from.
Speaker 1 (32:44):
Him, yeah, Absolutely, Man chicago all the ways shot.
Speaker 2 (32:48):
Down Tim hardaware trash, talk trash. Talk if he get
an a one on you or you know he, can't he
gonna make you feel. Uncomfortable.
Speaker 1 (32:56):
Man and you know like he's still talking trash to
him And Gary payton them the, dudes you know WHAT i,
Mean like they're not about to be, quiet.
Speaker 4 (33:04):
Bro and what's funny about them. Too i've played with
Both Gay, payton uh the, Second Tim Hardaway. Jr and
they nothing like their fathers when it comes to get
on the. Floor like the fun they games are completely.
Speaker 3 (33:19):
Different.
Speaker 4 (33:20):
Yep but, two they don't talk like, that like they
probably got tired Of they probably got tired.
Speaker 3 (33:25):
Of it in the. House i'm, LIKE i ain't gonna
be like, that you know What i'm. Saying that's not
could their.
Speaker 2 (33:29):
Personality could you imagine them getting their kids ready like to?
Speaker 3 (33:33):
Hoop you know they were talking?
Speaker 1 (33:34):
Trash, OH i, KNOW i know they were talking trash
in the, backyard and he's just, like, man.
Speaker 3 (33:39):
They probably couldn't get a. Word and that's, Why, yeah,
Yeah i'm.
Speaker 1 (33:43):
Approving i'm improven with my. Game i'm just Gonna i'm
gonna let my game speak a lot of.
Speaker 3 (33:47):
People you know.
Speaker 2 (33:48):
What that's a that's a very non trash talking.
Speaker 1 (33:51):
Response i'm gonna let my game speak with people that
don't like to talk that much, talk you know WHAT i.
Speaker 3 (33:57):
Mean like my game is.
Speaker 2 (33:59):
Loud my game, loud, though you know WHAT i.
Speaker 1 (34:00):
Mean and it's, like all, right, cool and they be
really bumping like, that and it's like he is The
Silent assassin, whatever you, know whatever you want to nickname.
Them but, yeah, Man Tim hardaway is one of the.
Ones he got one of the clips where he gets
an a one on. UH i think It's, Barkley i'm not.
Sure it might be against The warriors and he's just
one yelling in their face and it's just, like oh, yeah, yeah,
(34:24):
man hold it down for the.
Speaker 3 (34:25):
Guards Camp Sean, Kelly, Oh.
Speaker 1 (34:29):
Sean kemp is another. One, man you, Know BUT i
ain't never Hear kim talk too. MUCH i just know
about The dunky dunked On Chris gallen and he points.
Speaker 3 (34:37):
Out him and he's in his.
Speaker 4 (34:38):
Face, yeah he's one of those like after you made
a good like it was out of his.
Speaker 1 (34:41):
Character, YEAH i, mean which which is rightfully, SO i
Mean i've seen plays in the nineties on them you,
know you, know obviously that might be against the team rules,
now but like you catch some of those eighties nineties
clips where guys is getting dark so bad that the
opposing bench is going.
Speaker 2 (34:58):
Crazy oh, yeah.
Speaker 3 (35:00):
Yeah the.
Speaker 4 (35:02):
Problem is you gotta, watch like you catch yourself doing something, like,
oh this might be on they Watched like there's a
camera every.
Speaker 2 (35:08):
Everywhere SO i can only imagine what IF.
Speaker 4 (35:10):
I celebrate my team getting dunked on some of my
teammate getting, dropped it might make who mixed it like
hoops like like. Something it's not gonna look. Good so
you gotta. Watch you kind of gotta watch everything you
do now and they kind of making it. Inauthentic but
that's the area we live, In so that's that's that's.
Speaker 2 (35:28):
A good, point.
Speaker 1 (35:28):
Man like that was one THING i learned as a
media member WHEN i joined, uh you, know The ATHLETIC
i remember sitting in a media row and, UH i
don't know what.
Speaker 2 (35:42):
Happened somebody got dunked on and they were LIKE i.
Speaker 1 (35:46):
REACTED i was like like you know WHAT i, Mean
and everybody looked at him like in such disgust because
they were just, like you can't do, that you know
WHAT i.
Speaker 2 (35:54):
Mean like we went to halftime and went and.
Speaker 1 (35:56):
Got our little water bottle or like cookies they have
for the, media and it was Like Trey camier, like,
yeah you. Can't you can't, React AND i was, like,
Dang so it's even hard because you're just sitting there
and you.
Speaker 4 (36:07):
Just, like, yeah sometimes you gotta be on the, lookout
Like i'll be on the something happened my teammate to get,
UP i grab him like, yeah no years or something
covey in mouth whisper or, something or you forget where you,
at you become a. Fan like that's what happens to.
Speaker 1 (36:21):
Everybody professionalism for, Sure AND i mean that that's the
one THING i did respect about, it because you just
gotta be so even killed and not show any bias
and you, know go about.
Speaker 2 (36:31):
It but like just the hooping me, out just like,
oh like you, know are we a? Tap the table like,
secretly like you see, that like yeah that you know
WHAT i? Mean it was, cool, man we Got Rick mahorn,
man bad boy.
Speaker 1 (36:46):
Pistons he showed it being an, enforcer but also like
just getting in guy's.
Speaker 3 (36:51):
Face.
Speaker 1 (36:51):
Man you, know every every CLIP i see Where Rick,
mahoran know he's smiling at, somebody he grabbing on. Somebody
them jerseys look like worn out tank, top you know
WHAT i, Mean like they wasn't he supposed to be
shaped like.
Speaker 2 (37:04):
That but every time they get into.
Speaker 1 (37:05):
A Rick Rick, mahorn he grabbing them and dragging somebody
or they dragging each, other they throwing a punch. Man
so you, KNOW i think most of his trash talk
was to get Under pruple skin to see if he
can actually physically go into.
Speaker 4 (37:17):
It, yeah that was like psychological, warfare like that was
His that was kind of was.
Speaker 3 (37:21):
His role on the.
Speaker 4 (37:22):
Team it was him to be that that, enforcer that
that physical presence and just do, that LIKE i, said
physically and, verbally like he had. To he had to
bring that mentality to the team and that added to his.
Value so he, like LIKE i, said that's what that's
what he, became and that's what you think of first
when you think of guys Like Rick, mahoran even that
(37:42):
Whole pistons, team that was that that was that.
Speaker 3 (37:45):
Brand Charles.
Speaker 2 (37:46):
Barkley Charles barkley still talked trash to this.
Speaker 1 (37:49):
Day it obviously he's a little bit, older so it
kind of sounds a little grumpy to.
Speaker 4 (37:53):
Me IS i was young during this, era but it
seemed like he didn't talk as much trash on the
floor as he did after the game in.
Speaker 3 (38:01):
The media or in the. Newspaper he did they IN.
Speaker 1 (38:05):
TV i don't, know he talked, trash but he wore a,
mouthpiece so it was kind of like it was odd
for one because it was his, thing you know WHAT i,
mean what too many people wearing, mouthpiece but like he
had take it, out and when he take it, out
it's like you don't know what's.
Speaker 2 (38:19):
Coming and he probably wasn't the first player to be like.
Speaker 1 (38:25):
Cursing up like a, sailor but he made it like
if it was if he was taking it, out he
was gonna go at the. Refs he's going at the,
players and he would sometimes be in the media and
they would bleep, it you know WHAT i.
Speaker 2 (38:39):
Mean so it was kind of like you know.
Speaker 1 (38:41):
That cover your kid's ears and, face because that's what
he was.
Speaker 2 (38:45):
Doing AND i think the best trash.
Speaker 1 (38:47):
TALK i don't know if you've ever seen, it but
It's Charles barkley Versus Scottie pippen and they're going at each,
other you know WHAT i, mean because they became teammates
as In, houston it didn't work. Out it got the
pipping one it, out you know WHAT i. Mean Charles
barkley's like you knowhing Without Michael. Jordan Scottie pippen's telling
him he's, lazy you know WHAT i. Mean like and
(39:09):
then they're matching up and like it was almost just
like what we get On twitter, now but like the
media like the games like spicing up because they would
cut clips and roll. It so it's like even more
like juicier, matchups you know WHAT i, mean but like
they never.
Speaker 3 (39:24):
WRITTEN i was less common back then to get that
type of.
Speaker 1 (39:26):
Access, yeah so it was like one of them situations
of like dang you.
Speaker 2 (39:30):
Talking they would do them specials where say to sit
down and say how you feel about? IT i don't
really like him that, much.
Speaker 1 (39:36):
You know WHAT i, Mean and it's like it's very
wrestling because they would pit it like it's. Boxing it's
one on one versus five on, five so those matchups
will be a little bit more. Heated and if it's
former teammates or you, Know Horace grant not being with The,
bulls so he had something any, time it was that
type of, thing you know how it, is or previous
matchups and things of that.
Speaker 2 (39:57):
Nature, Man but it was really fixed.
Speaker 1 (39:59):
Up and that's why most people say it's the go
nearer because they made it like a soap.
Speaker 4 (40:05):
Opera, yeah that's the other thing you see that's. Different
and you compare it to trash the nineties versus, today.
Speaker 3 (40:11):
It's kind of the.
Speaker 4 (40:12):
Opposite like you get more like authentic stuff on the
on the floor, maybe but when you get off the,
Floor i'm.
Speaker 3 (40:19):
Cool we, cool. Yea even though you know you hate
that guy you're playing.
Speaker 4 (40:23):
Against you, see if you seem you you want to
you want none to, Do you're gonna talk to, Him
you're gonna talk trash to. Him you gonna get it, off.
Y'all y'all might even get into it on the. Floor
but the media ask you about, it it's, like we
ain't got no problem a problem with, Them he cool
like you want to. Be it's that that pr that
that that fake response that you kind of feel like
you gotta give in the, nineties like like that story
(40:44):
you was just telling they cool with?
Speaker 3 (40:46):
It they all, right you don't like.
Speaker 2 (40:47):
THEM i don't like.
Speaker 1 (40:48):
THEM i, MEAN i want to say it Was Adrian.
Danley they traded him From. Detroit he didn't get to
see the, team and when he finally got there and
he's shaking everybody. HERE i gotta show you this. Clip
he's shaking everybody here and Gets Isaiah thomas and he's,
like doesn't let his hand. Go you've seen. It and
he doesn't let his hand. Go and it's, like, oh
(41:08):
he had this game circle beef AND i don't like this.
Man And i'm gonna let everybody know he said something to.
Him we can't hear, it but the energy is there
and it was actually good for the sport because they
weren't out there trying to hurt each. Other but they
was don't bring, it you know WHAT i. MEAN i
(41:30):
can't lose to this. Person like obviously seeing starting, five
Like shade Has a has a new battery in his
back against The clippers because they traded him off to you, know, okay,
see but it's not like he's not out here vocalizing
it or making it to a.
Speaker 2 (41:44):
POINT i just found out about. That like he's still you.
Speaker 4 (41:46):
Don't even hear that because it's starting. Five, yeah but
he never brought that up in the locker room or
post game or. Nothing they're trying to starting, five trying
to get some. Drama so they got it out of.
Him but if you ask him the, regus he be, like,
no it's a Regular if you ask in the locker
room before the game or, whatever he's.
Speaker 3 (42:03):

Saying everybody is politically correct.
Speaker 1 (42:08):
Now, yeah they got a. Brand they got a brand to. Push,
man it's all it's all about the, brand all, right.
Man so we're gonna take a quick break when we come.
Back we're gonna come up with our top five nineties trash.
Talkers all, right, man we talked about some great trash.
(42:39):
Talkers i'm curious to know who's major. Five you made
a valid point, earlier so you changed mine up BECAUSE
i definitely THOUGHT, i you, know had it in the
in the bag and that and that's not the case
made me think a little bit.
Speaker 2 (42:51):
More But i'm definitely.

would be probably number, One but he was a baby
in the nineties and he came in the league talking.
Trash i'm GOING kg at, five at, four GOING. MJ
i GOT mj at. Four he sharp cuts you like a,
knife but he didn't necessarily wasn't he didn't have to talk.
Trash it's more Like i'm, Hooping i'm, killing but like
(43:28):
it's not SOMETHING i gotta. Do he's more pointed than.
Volume at number, Three Larry. Bird there's so many stories
Of larry legends trash.
Speaker 3 (43:39):
Talk number Two.
Speaker 4 (43:43):
Reggie, Miller Reggie Miller, man iconic in the, garden talking
to opposing, fans, celebrities, everybody LIKE i grew up on
the on The Reggie miller trash talk in the. Garden
so that's one of my. Favorites and number, ONE i
got the. Glove Gary, payton like HE i think he's
like he might be the best of to ever do
(44:03):
it in any, sport like just getting it off and
hooping at the same.
Speaker 3 (44:08):
Time Gave peyton number.
Speaker 2 (44:09):
One, OKAY i like. IT i like.
Speaker 1 (44:11):
It we got some similarities in. There at, FIVE i GOT,
kg you know WHAT i, mean Because ticket he was very.
Young he was the kid, then LIKE i, said we
don't never talk about the evolution of his. Nicknames he
was the KID, kg you, know Big, ticket you know
WHAT i, mean and all. That so number FOUR i
Got Reggie. Miller really Liked reggie trash, talk got up
(44:34):
for The, knicks got up for most of the, guys
didn't back, down and put some legendary moments behind. That
Larry bird to hearsay of WHAT i heard about how
he talked trash and was telling guys what moves he
was gonna.
Speaker 2 (44:49):
Do SO i got. Him at, three you, know, TWO
i GOT.
Speaker 1 (44:53):
MJ mj got to go to be just because he
was pumping fear of guy's heart and you know WHAT i,
Mean and he was talking direct to you so he
could really walk you down and back it. Up and
then OBVIOUSLY i got a line up with you and
Say Gary payton number one because he's still talking to this.
Speaker 2 (45:10):
Day he never. Stopped he never. Stopped Gary. Payton if
you listen to, this come, on so we can we
can you know WHAT i? Mean you could rival a
couple of.
Speaker 1 (45:19):
These trash talking lists and and and definitely tell some
of the stories of you, know maybe where he got
his trash talking.
Speaker 4 (45:25):
From, yeah every time you see, him he got something
slick to. Say he gonna, say he's gonna get something
slick off before he, said well he's doing.
Speaker 1 (45:31):
Three he doing it in the. Crowd he probably doing That.

Speaker 2 (46:06):
Gameplay so you know how the league is right.
Speaker 3 (46:09):
Now it's a tough. One this is a tough.
Speaker 2 (46:12):
One because who could actually, Adapt.
Speaker 4 (46:15):
Yeah who can adapt to today's? Era But i'm Going
Reggie miller because he he talked to opposing players a decent,
amount which you have to be careful with in today's.
Era but you can get off a lot talking to
the crowd right, now especially celebrities who want to talk
back to. You he like enjoyed. It he made it
a part of the, game especially when he stepped into the.
Garden the garden still like obviously it's jumping more than
(46:39):
ever right, now and it's more celebrities courtside for For
reggie to point. Out and it's not just Uh spike
over there right, now It's Timothy Shall, Yeah Shall.
Speaker 3 (46:51):
Yeah White boy of The, Year, Ben, yeah It's Ben.
Speaker 4 (46:54):

And reggie can go at. Him so, UH i love
to See reggie in the garden right. Now you kind
of get a taste of it with With trey over
the plaist few years in the, garden but he still
ain't on that level.
Speaker 2 (47:05):

Speaker 1 (47:07):
Pick i'm gonna go With Dennis rodman just because of the.
ANTICS i, think like.
Speaker 2 (47:14):
You, know the.
Speaker 1 (47:15):
Altercations we probably would be annoyed with him with the
flopping and stuff like. That but uh, man he definitely
would be a social media. Spectacle but also just you,
know play these mind. GAMES i would like to see
A rodman winby A, Rodman DRAYMOND. A.
Speaker 2 (47:32):
Rodman, uh you.
Speaker 1 (47:35):
Know WHAT i, mean like any any of those physical
forces down low man and and and and seeing what
he can, DO i think he would be highly praised,
for you, know his efforts.
Speaker 2 (47:46):
On the defensive. END i think he would client probably
clean up.
Speaker 4 (47:48):
To, yeah with the tats in the air like he,
was he stood out viral like a sword thumb viral back.
Then now he started that kind of. Stuff now he's
it's a little bit more common.
Speaker 1 (47:59):
Though, yeah absolutely, well Dot, man this has been a great.
Episode we got to reflect on some cool basketball. Players
one of the best eras of golden Eras. Man and
hopefully you, know, uh someone takes my idea and charge
the extra money for THE espn premium for trash, talk
you know WHAT i, mean sell. It sell it as a, package,
(48:21):
man because we need trash talking in the game and
it's pureness and the fun and make it something, earned
you know WHAT i.
Speaker 4 (48:28):
Mean that's like some only. Fans you gotta you gotta
be a certain age to get, that.
Speaker 2 (48:32):
You know WHAT i, Mean BECAUSE i look at it
like this same.
Speaker 1 (48:34):
Way you can't do touchdown celebrations and Pop warner until
you get to THE. Nfl if you make it to THE,
nba you should be able to say what you.
Speaker 2 (48:43):
WANT i feel, like, YEAH i know.
Speaker 4 (48:46):

gotta be one of those snapchat things too well to
add into Your yeah, YEAH i. Did gotta be one
of those snapchats where you can't screen. Record oh, yeah
you can't clip these these these Things i'm saying in
the game and, like get blacks out on yeah black, yeah,
yeah because it might ruin some people might get their brands.
Speaker 3 (49:07):
