Speaker 1 (00:00):
This is the Ben and Ashley I Almost Famous podcast
with iHeartRadio.

Speaker 2 (00:06):
It's almost famous podcast. We're here today to discuss all
the latest happenings in Bachelor Nation. But before we get
into that, Ashley, last time we spoke, it was just
a few days before the festive holidays. How was your Thanksgiving?

Speaker 3 (00:23):
It was wonderful. How is yours?

Speaker 2 (00:26):
It was great. We did the Bloody Mary Bar, which
was a blast. A lot of neighbors showed up. I mean,
the house was the house was packed.

Speaker 3 (00:35):
You hosted one of the bloody man.

Speaker 2 (00:37):
Oh no goodness, okay, no, just down the street here.
That was It's such a good idea in the morning
to have this. It's kind of a good warm up.
It's early, you know, the kids get to play with
their friends before they go play with their cousins. It's
a great way to wear them out. When he was
a star at it, she's been a star for the

(00:57):
last few days. We came back here, had a big,
big early dinner, like lunch dinner, like a two thirty,
and then just chilled out the rest of the day.
It was awesome. It was great. That is awesome, relaxing day.

Speaker 3 (01:10):
So I have a question for you.

Speaker 4 (01:11):
You were talking on the other podcast about how you
always have the.

Speaker 3 (01:16):
TV on and you have you know, football on.

Speaker 4 (01:19):
But Jess is really particular about when you screen time.

Speaker 3 (01:24):
How do you have her? How do you deal with that?

Speaker 2 (01:27):
Yeah? So, I mean we didn't have any TV on
when we were eating, that was all just separate. But afterwards, well,
typically Winnie is at this point so distracted on the
floor with somebody doing like a book. It's not like
she's sitting there glued into the TV.

Speaker 4 (01:46):
Okay, So that's my question, Like on lazy days like Thanksgiving,
is that considered screen time if they're like doing other stuff.

Speaker 2 (01:56):
No, because they're not focused, like I mean, at least
in our household. I'm guess it's different for every family,
but for us, I think it's a little bit of
the laxed like mindset of Okay, the TV's on, but
when he's not watching it, she's actually like has her
back turned to it, and so somebody is engaging her
in something other than the TV the whole time. I think,

(02:17):
like the by definition here it would be, is a
screen the source of entertainment for Winny or not? If
the screen's the source of entertainment, and we can tell
it's a source of entertainment. Then it's typically like, let's
pull her out, take her upstairs with the screen's not on.
If it's on and she's doing her own thing, not

(02:38):
even a problem, like totally.

Speaker 3 (02:40):
Cool, Okay. So that's always like my debate.

Speaker 4 (02:43):
I'm like, if I'm watching a show that's for me
and they're just like playing around the living room, is
that like fine? Is this considered their screen time for
the day? Because that makes me feel guilty, and then
it makes me feel like I can ever watch TV
for myself.

Speaker 3 (02:57):
Sure, relaxed during the weekend.

Speaker 2 (02:59):
No, I mean like at night when I'm giving Winnie
the bottle, I have the TV on when he's not
watching it, but it's on.

Speaker 4 (03:09):
Yeah, you mean dedicated screen time.

Speaker 2 (03:11):
She's yeah, she's gluing in. She like if you're if
the boys sat next to you and we're like, mom,
I'm gonna watch this, Yeah, I'd say that's it. But
it just a glancing like look, or there's a noise
that goes on and she checks it out like not
a problem. And it's kind of fun because at this
point I can tell she so easily could get addicted,

(03:32):
just like we do as adults. She'd get a dick
to the screen. She loves like pulling my phone if
I have it sitting on a counter or something and
holding it.

Speaker 4 (03:41):
It's the phone and the iPad that I've found to
be the issues.

Speaker 2 (03:45):
Yeah, I mean so I think I think that's by
our definition, how we're doing it. And I kind of
plan on doing it this way for as long as
we possibly can until it gets weird for her. But
I would rather, you know, ask her to play with
something that's not a screen or a toy on the

(04:06):
ground and do that with her. I mean it's a
little harder, yes, for me, because I don't get to
necessarily just chill out. But I don't know as a
parent if you just get to chill out too often
during the days.

Speaker 3 (04:17):
Hey, Hayden doesn't let us.

Speaker 4 (04:19):
So we really do enjoy like our seven to nine
o'clock like family TV time, especially now you're like a
Christmas movie.

Speaker 3 (04:28):
But Hayden won't do it. Dawson is wow.

Speaker 4 (04:32):
He will want to snuggle like hug you for two hours.

Speaker 3 (04:36):
While you bond over a movie and that is so odd.

Speaker 4 (04:39):
We love it so so much, and at almost four,
I think it's totally appropriate and it's cool. Like Jared
and I like will bond over our favor things. I
still predominantly keep him in like nineties oriented TV full
houses our go to.

Speaker 3 (04:55):
I pretty much basically don't consider for house screen time.

Speaker 4 (05:00):
Because it is so wholesome and lesson oriented that I'm like, well.

Speaker 3 (05:05):
How does this even count?

Speaker 4 (05:07):
But he that's really fun. But that Hayden, like we
have like maybe twenty minutes. If he has a snack
in a movie for twenty minutes, then it's like, all right,
I'll take him upstairs or downstairs or whatnot.

Speaker 3 (05:18):
But he's just like, hello, family, what's play?

Speaker 2 (05:22):
Yeah? Yeah, And that's fun. It is, and it you know,
it's I have to in those moments, you know, Colts
Game's on, I'm glueden and she's up in my business.
I have to remember like this, I'm going to be
a lot happier being on the floor with her in
four years and I am like checked out only watching

(05:43):
the game, like hey, little baby girl, get away from me,
Like that's crazy. So I we just kind of do it,
and it's nice my parents are out here, when Jess's
parents are out here. You know, we do have a
lot of visitors because we live far away. You know,
you can kind of pass her off too to play
with somebody and they're ye, so down. Yeah, Like we

(06:04):
only have one, so it's a little different for us.

Speaker 4 (06:08):
Here's here's the two of them. Yeah, close the door,
we have alone time. It is a huge, huge difference,
you know what. We're both kind of at a crappy
stage with like the couch and the baby because Hayden
and you, I'm sure they'll still tumble off the couch
and you still have to worry about that. Yeah, like
if I PLoP him on my bed, oh he get
a concussion?

Speaker 3 (06:28):
Yeah, sure, he could break his neck falling off my bed.

Speaker 2 (06:31):
I mean, we've had close calls and it's the scariest
I don't know if you even know.

Speaker 4 (06:34):
Hayden fell off the bed and then Dawson had fell
off the couch when he was this age.

Speaker 2 (06:39):
It's the scariest thing. It rocks your world. Like we
we haven't had a fall yet, but we've had a
close call. Like, oh my gosh, she started crawling all
of a sudden. We never knew she could. And now
she's at the edge and you know, both of us
are diving like ten foot across the floor like you
know the athletes we once were. Yeah, it's scary and

(06:59):
it will rock you. Your heart rate will raise and
you won't forget it. And so we have we've been
very cautious of this now. Yeah, and little babies are
just everywhere, like they just tumble around and roll around
and contort themselves.

Speaker 3 (07:16):
And exactly contorting.

Speaker 2 (07:19):
It's it's it's a lot of fun. But it's been great.
And I haven't traveled in weeks. Now, that's awesome. I'm
so happy for you. Yeah, I'm feeling very very much
like caught up centered, got some good winny is good
winning time and means so yeah, life's life's fun. And
then we'll pick it back up again here for a
little bit before Christmas, and then we'll come back afterwards

(07:43):
and next year will be a lot slower for me,
not professionally, I don't want to say that, but it's
going to be a lot slower with travel. That's my goal. Okay,
how do I make that happen with gold?

Speaker 3 (07:54):
I don't know. I was like, how are you not
going to slow up professionally?

Speaker 5 (07:57):
But you're also going I have no You'll figure it out, Okay, Hey.

Speaker 2 (08:13):
Let's dive in the headlines. A weird switch because I'm
just in a good mood from the holidays, relaxed mood
and good mood, cheerful mood. But we do have some
big headlines today that we need to cover. Bachelor Nation's
Carl Waddell. She gets candid about dating after ending engagement.

Speaker 4 (08:31):
So she entered her engagement over the summer and now
she is like trying to get back in the dating pool.
She had this funny moment where she makes fun of
herself in this Instagram reel about how she's attempting to
get back out there. She said that there was this
cute guy that she saw at a bar. She thought
they were making eyes at each other. She was with

(08:53):
her sister in law and her brother, and she thought that,
you know, she would give her number to the guy,
but not write down her name because she didn't want
him to google her without getting to like meet her
in prison. So they left the bar and then she
goes back in with a piece of paper with her
number on it. And then he's not at the table anymore,

(09:14):
but his friends or family they're still there. He must
have gone to the bathroom or something, and instead of saying, like, hey,
I thought that guy that you were with was cute,
she literally like stood in front of the table and
then ran outside, ran back outside and just totally chickened out.
So she's making fun of herself, feeling like she's like
back in elementary school again. At the end of it all,

(09:38):
her sister in law actually went back in gave the
guy her number and he never called.

Speaker 3 (09:45):
Well, yeah, he probably didn't know who it was.

Speaker 2 (09:48):
No, he's like, I have a random number from this
human that I didn't see meet or whatever. Here's what
I'm taking from this. Celebrities they're just like us. You know,
they get nervous, they run from tables. They're not as
smooth as maybe we like to imagine them to be. Carly.

(10:11):
You're not alone in this funny, awkward behavior. Goodness, it's awkward,
but you're not alone, and it's wonderful that you got
a little nervous.

Speaker 3 (10:20):
It's really you know, it's kind of fun.

Speaker 4 (10:22):
It's more fun hearing your friends do it than it
is you having to go and take the leap of faith.

Speaker 2 (10:29):
But I think in the day and age of Instagram
in social media, Ashley, I watch, I mean, this is
One of the reasons why I've backed off so much
from social media is I watch it, I'm like, goodness,
everybody is more fit than me. Everybody's smoother than me,
they dress better than me. It seems like they're driving
fancier cars because they're obviously making so much more money

(10:50):
than me. That's my mind.

Speaker 4 (10:52):
That's not as like, it's not like as appealing as
you think. I think that like your humbleness, your groundedness,
just the that you're like a guy's guy is way
more attractive than trying to be smooth.

Speaker 2 (11:04):
Yeah, but it makes me envious. And so when we
hear these kind of stories where we're like, oh, yeah,
Carly stood at a table awkwardly while the parents probably
looked up at her and was like hello, and she's like,
that makes me smile because.

Speaker 4 (11:16):
If you see somebody as approachable and beautiful as Carly,
I would have been like, Hi, what's up?

Speaker 3 (11:22):
Like, what are you thinking?

Speaker 2 (11:23):
You're trying to talk to my husband?

Speaker 5 (11:25):
Yeah, he wasn't responsive.

Speaker 3 (11:31):
Oh my gosh. We didn't even think of that. It's like, oh, yeah,
maybe he's dating somebody.

Speaker 2 (11:35):
Yeah, and they were sitting there too. It's funny speaking
of dating we have a really great couple coming out
of Bachelor in Paradise this year that we are catching
up with Bachelor in Paradise's couple Alex and Andrew. They
detailed their biggest fight in Ashley. It's over what I
think is still the most common thing couples fight about today, finances.

Speaker 4 (11:56):
So funny, this is one thing that Jared and I
can't relate to at all. We have always been so
good discussing finances.

Speaker 3 (12:04):
What about you?

Speaker 2 (12:05):
Yeah, I mean it's we don't ever well justin I
have a very like we set. I'd say this is
actually a good note that was given to us, and
I think it's a very like Christian Church note. Early
on our relationship we went through like couples counts or
premarital counseling, and I think, you know, the idea of

(12:27):
boundaries and clear communication is helpful in any relationship. But
that was one of the words given to us is hey,
sit down and discuss like these four major things and
figure out how you're going to do it before you
intern into marriage. And then if you have to adjust
along the way, great, but talk about it when you do.
And so before we ever got married, we were like Okay,
here's how we're going to do this. We're gonna have
one shared bank account that we both put money into

(12:50):
every month. We're also going to have our own separate
bank accounts that you operate on and I operate on
because she runs her own business, I run my own business.
Crossing those two things together will get so confusing and
like misconstrued. And so our shared account is will we
pay all of our stuff out through, like all of

(13:11):
our life expenses, dinners, all that stuff, and then our
individual accounts, Like if Jessica wants to go to the
store and go on a shopping spree, she doesn't have
to check with me because she is responsible for her
own account. And it actually works out great for us personally.
We run that through by having separate credit cards and

(13:31):
then a shared credit card, and so things that are
shared are paid for collectively. Things that aren't. And she
needs to go buy more stuff for her skin studio,
go do it. It's fine, It's it's your business. But
we talk about a lot. We check in once a month,
and but I am in charge of our collective finances

(13:53):
mostly because yeah, yeah, investments, bill, you know, bills, all that,
because mostly I I'm well, one, I'm at my computer
more often, she's you know, obviously working on people. And
then two I just enjoy it, I think, And so
it was kind of a hey, yeah, you do that,
and then we kind of go over it every month

(14:14):
together on where our investments are and all that.

Speaker 4 (14:19):
Oh that's good, we just have I don't get into it,
but it's like, thank God for a good accountant and
some good financial advisors because I'm like, I think I
understand the summary of what you guys are talking about,
but just like think goodness that.

Speaker 3 (14:34):
You're really educated on it, because I don't want to.
Jared's a little bit more interested in it.

Speaker 2 (14:40):
Yeah, so it works, But I think the point is,
however you want to do, yes is clear communication. Okay,
so they had a.

Speaker 4 (14:48):
Fight over this, Well, they didn't really have a fight
over anything very specifically.

Speaker 3 (14:53):
They're just saying this is when they do bigger it.

Speaker 4 (14:56):
Often will have to do with this, which is actually
like super interesting to me, being that they've only been
together for about six months.

Speaker 2 (15:03):
I'd say it's a good sign.

Speaker 4 (15:04):
It is good sign. It means that they're taking it
very seriously, like they are. If they're talking about each
other's finances at six months, I feel like they're planning
a real future together.

Speaker 2 (15:14):
Yeah, I think it's amazing. The worst thing I mean,
but I feel like Alex during Paradise right didn't she
wasn't in a big was it her that had the
big student debt that was going to get paid off?

Speaker 4 (15:27):
So they use all the money that they won, yeah,
for her student loans, which she has nothing anymore. And
she's really, you know, obviously feels very freed by that.
But and she says that because that's paid off, they're
able to invest. And she said that she never even
imagined herself being able to do that because she thought
she was going to be burdened by the student loans
for so long.

Speaker 1 (15:47):
Mm hm.

Speaker 4 (15:48):
So now that is something that they kind of talk about.
So he's kind of like, I'm just doing well, I
know what I'm doing, like, and then she is kind
of like, I want to be retired by this point.
And then he's like, that's not really gonna happen anymore.
This is like not happening right now. People aren't retiring
at like your dream age. And then she said, like

(16:09):
none of them hold really grudges over it. At the end,
of the argument, they'll be like laughing and saying I
love you. But right now she's very focused on saving
for her future, sitting for their future, and they're not
really they're not really.

Speaker 3 (16:28):
Afraid to talk about this stuff.

Speaker 4 (16:32):
She said that she was always imagining that somebody was
going to be the one to take over finances, to
be like a little bit more serious.

Speaker 3 (16:40):
About it, to be more of the you and the relationship.

Speaker 4 (16:43):
And she says that they are both very much on
the same page, like neither of them are super versed
in it.

Speaker 2 (16:52):
Yeah, I mean I think that's where you said, then
you need to quickly find people that are talented at it.
And it's going to be a big life expense, expensive
to have an accountant. It's expensive of these things.

Speaker 3 (17:04):
Our accountant is worth everybody.

Speaker 2 (17:05):
Yeah, it's gonna be worth it in the end, because one,
you're not getting a bill in four years. That's like, hey,
in twenty twenty five, you owe this many back taxes
with fines. It's you know, I think it's a fascinating topic.
And obviously there's people a lot more well versed than
I am on it. But I do love that they're

(17:25):
having these conversations and that they're trying to navigate it
and that they're talking about retirement.

Speaker 4 (17:32):
I know, like they're so promising, Like this is amazing,
They're gonna get married.

Speaker 2 (17:37):
Let's go. Speaking of Bachelor in Paradise married couples, A
Bachelor in Paradise alum Mari Peppin reveals every single cosmetic
procedure she's had.

Speaker 3 (17:50):
I love this.

Speaker 4 (17:51):
I went through and did an Instagram reel with my
sister nine months ago about this.

Speaker 3 (17:57):
Lauren is hilarious. Like Lauren has everything time.

Speaker 4 (18:02):
The only thing that she's actually like gone to sleep
for is her nose job, but lots of stuff at
the medspot. And Mari is admitting to basically similar things
so that she wanted to get a brass augmentation when
she was twenty one.

Speaker 3 (18:16):
It was too.

Speaker 4 (18:16):
Expensive so she didn't do that, but she did end
up getting them at twenty seven. She also has had
filler in her lips and in her underreyes, but now
she's just doing them and her lips. She's doing p
RF in her underreyes now, which is it's kind of

(18:37):
like a collegen booster can also help with dark circles
and brightening. I am going through this and Ben Stobba
was like, what are you doing? I love the transparency stuff.
It's such a thing on Instagram to be transparent about
what you've gotten done. Thanks to Kylie Jenner. She really
we love Kylie for that anything else that she's done.
She's done botox and the massaters. Those are your jaw

(19:03):
muscles and you could put them there for aesthetics and
TMJ relief.

Speaker 3 (19:09):
I need to do it creates it you. No, you don't.
You're a guy.

Speaker 4 (19:13):
You want your jaw muscles to be big and wide,
just like Jared.

Speaker 3 (19:18):
You do have TMJ.

Speaker 2 (19:19):
Yeah. I need to figure that out because it's starting
to hurt.

Speaker 3 (19:22):
Really.

Speaker 2 (19:23):
Jess does a buckle massage at her studio. It really helps. Yeah,
and I do. I wear a night guard every night.

Speaker 3 (19:29):
Oh you do wear a night gard.

Speaker 2 (19:31):
Yeah, but she has this buckle massage. It's like an
inner mouth massage. It always helps.

Speaker 3 (19:35):
You can get a little bit, Ben a little bit.

Speaker 4 (19:38):
But like, as a guy, and like I'm you know,
speaking as like I am an aesthetics nurse practitioner or whatever,
but I am not. I would not do that as
a guy because you want your job to be wide
and strong.

Speaker 3 (19:51):
I do it.

Speaker 4 (19:52):
I love my massador botox so much. It really creates
a totally different face for me. I look like so
much more feminine and like narrow because that's what it does.
It'll narrow your draw because without it, of course I
like my face without it too, but it's a lot boxier.
It goes from like square to a little bit more hearty. Okay,

(20:15):
what about what about you?

Speaker 5 (20:17):
Ben?

Speaker 3 (20:19):
I mean, I know, like we got done.

Speaker 2 (20:21):
Yeah, we have some bachelor people, some men that definitely
have done their stuff. It's not at all on my radar.
It's just not something one if there was a health
benefit to it, if like I could get rid of
the grinding of my teeth or whatever that is, I'd
be like, oh, I'm interested. It's not that I look

(20:44):
at these dudes. I'm like, what in the world it
won My buddies would never let me live it down.

Speaker 4 (20:48):
I don't even know who you're talking about, Like you
think that somebody has a little brotox like I don't.

Speaker 2 (20:52):
I don't.

Speaker 4 (20:53):
It depends on the lines. I don't as long as
you're not freezing yourself.

Speaker 3 (20:57):
Who we're talking.

Speaker 4 (21:00):
No name, no names, Like are we talking from like
decade ago or.

Speaker 2 (21:06):
I think it's been a I think it's been an
ongoing theme for a decade.

Speaker 3 (21:10):
No way, yeah, we can just that's so funny.

Speaker 2 (21:13):
Yeah, I'm again like, it's not here's my judgmental response
when I see it. It's nothing more than how are
your buddies letting you do this? It's not that I
like am like, oh no, I think you look good.
I do, But who are your friends? Because there is
zero chance I could do it and walk into a
football game with them and them not say something or

(21:35):
make me feel so silly.

Speaker 4 (21:37):
Like you think that they're like that frozen and it's
just not well done for a guy. Really, I'm not
a fan. I don't need like I would never want
Jerry to get botox either. That would be like so weird.
But I'm just thinking like there's somebody or there are
people that have done it, so obviously that's super interesting.

Speaker 2 (21:54):
Hmm.

Speaker 3 (21:55):
Okay, what do you know a Jess gets done?

Speaker 2 (21:58):
She doesn't get any bowtie?

Speaker 3 (22:00):
Well, she does, she did any botox, she used to.

Speaker 2 (22:03):
And because she has an eyebrow that was like lower
than the other or something, is that a thing?

Speaker 4 (22:08):
Wait, she has one by nature that's lower than the other.

Speaker 2 (22:12):
Yeah, so she get it, but she doesn't one. She's
breastfeeding still, so she doesn't do anything she does. I
mean I don't. The only thing I know she does
at least, and she would obviously tell me right now,
is she blathers up with about eight different things every
night before bed, and then she tapes her face. This

(22:32):
has been a new Yeah.

Speaker 4 (22:33):
And she told me she gave me the face tape,
which I loved the face tape for a minute, thinking
that it was helping with this sleep wrinkle that I
get overnight, because like if you put your face on
your pillow like this, then like you get this a
wrinkle by your nose because your cheek is like slamming
into your nose. Yeah, But then the tape didn't really work.

(22:53):
What actually really works is this amazing pillow that also
helps with like a neck and backpin of it.

Speaker 2 (23:00):
Yeah. No, I mean every night before bed she has
like four pieces of tape. And that's just the marriage.
It's a marriage. It's beautiful, it's wonderful.

Speaker 3 (23:10):
Should I go through what I have?

Speaker 2 (23:12):
I think, are you want to move on?

Speaker 3 (23:14):
Do you think so?

Speaker 2 (23:15):
I don't know, I don't know what this all means.
I think you did tell us what you've had, I
would like.

Speaker 4 (23:19):
Okay, So obviously I do botox in my forehead, only
need to do it like twice a year. I don't
know before has really trained to not move so much,
I guess because before botox, Holy crap, I have the
massive our talks.

Speaker 3 (23:35):
And then I have my lips filled.

Speaker 4 (23:38):
Do it like once every other year, like maybe like
once every year and a half. I also so then
the last time the last time I had then done
was was it was it two years ago? No, it
has to be a year ago. And then I have
my underreyes filled a little bit, just for like a
little di of it. I don't really ever have like

(24:00):
bad dark circles, but I haven't done that for two years.
And then I do have filler in my temples, which
I need to actually get evened out. They're a little
awkward right now, they're a little off. And then I
have the tiniest bit of filler right now and like

(24:20):
my like on my.

Speaker 3 (24:21):
Cheekbone, like just a couple of little drops. And I
kind of go back and forth.

Speaker 4 (24:27):
On what I do again and what I don't do again,
But I'm pretty happy with what I got right now.

Speaker 2 (24:31):
Is there anything in the future you're planning on.

Speaker 3 (24:33):
No, I wouldn't go beyond that. Okay, I also wouldn't
want like the cheek filler.

Speaker 4 (24:38):
I am really really not a fan typically of cheek
filler my, but I trust anything that my s dision,
my girly she's not an s dision, she's a nurse,
will suggest to me. And I was like, you know, honestly,
you could just do whatever you want, Just just say, oh,
chin filler, that's my big filling if I had But

(25:00):
so let's just go to the top of the conversation
really quickly. Then if I really could only do two things,
it would always be the forehead talks and the chin filler,
and then number three would probably be the jaw talks.

Speaker 3 (25:17):
And that's it.

Speaker 4 (25:18):
That's my go to lip filler craps. Now we're adding on,
but that is important every few years.

Speaker 3 (25:25):
But I really don't.

Speaker 4 (25:26):
It's over time the lips keep the collagen in them
from the filler. It's like a permanent scar kind of
in the best way. So even if I were to
stop doing it all together, my lips would naturally be
bigger than they were before I ever started.

Speaker 3 (25:42):
And those are my four things. Okay, moving on, He's like,
can we get off of this cut?

Speaker 2 (25:48):
No? I mean I'm listening. I don't know if I've
understood anything you just said, but I'm listening.

Speaker 3 (25:53):
Your wife is in aesthetics.

Speaker 2 (25:55):
She's an aesthetics, yes, but it's not I don't think
it's like that kind of thing. I don't know.

Speaker 3 (26:03):
Well, she's gonna talks girl.

Speaker 2 (26:04):
There, she's gonna she does the whole Jess runs a
whole system. She's great. Her little business is great.

Speaker 4 (26:11):
She probably, I don't think, just looks no different than
once she started. But that's the whole thing.

Speaker 2 (26:16):
Shout out to Higgy Skin.

Speaker 3 (26:17):
Yes, Higgy skin.

Speaker 2 (26:19):
Higgy Skin.

Speaker 3 (26:21):
When did she change it from a year and a
half ago? Higgy Skin? Why did she switch?

Speaker 2 (26:27):
Because this is a little bit of a catch your
name right, Higgins, Higgy higgy skins. Cute, it's cute and
you can you can use it for branding purposes for
future advancements in her business.

Speaker 3 (26:41):
Okay, great, I love this.

Speaker 2 (26:43):
She's a smart chick. She gets it. Chelsea Vaughn gets
Canada about an ongoing health issue she's been having. I
don't know if I knew this.

Speaker 4 (27:03):
I saw this Instagram pop up on my feet, and
I'm not sure if I even follow her, but it
was definitely something that was getting a lot of traction.

Speaker 3 (27:09):
On social media.

Speaker 4 (27:11):
So she is officially moving out of New York City
for good. She kind of was debating this for a while.
She moved out and lived in Mexico City for a while.
She got in a new relationship, but now the relationship
is no longer, so she's moving out.

Speaker 3 (27:24):
Of New York.

Speaker 4 (27:25):
But she just said that there's like something going on
and she can't really figure out what it is. She said,
she's got blood drawn. She's doing a full blood panel
to see what's going on. She's been wearing a scarf
lately because all of her hair keeps falling out at
a very alarming rate. She did see a dermatologist in

(27:46):
New York and she's getting some answers, but she wants
to make sure that there's nothing going on that's deeper.

Speaker 3 (27:53):
She's still waiting for the results.

Speaker 4 (27:55):
She may have had them, but she hasn't reported it
on them yet. But yeah, her hair is like falling
out in different but like she's seeing like holes in
her you know, in her hairline or in her hair,
her head, and that's awful. She just said that she's
getting really self conscious and she's to the point where

(28:15):
she's she's just like embarrassed to go out without her scarf.

Speaker 2 (28:21):
Yeah, it's tough, I mean, and we've talked about it
here when it comes to things like lime disease and
parasites and all those things. You know, it's weird in
today's medical world, how many mysteries there still are when
somebody's like, I don't feel good and my hair is
falling out, something's wrong, and how hard it is to
identify what it is it's going wrong. So I hope

(28:45):
for her sake she can figure that out. But it's
scary and it's frustrating, and you probably don't feel good.
But that's the update. We'll try to fall back up
on that.

Speaker 4 (28:56):
Do you remember that girl that we had on who
went overseas to get like a month long treatment for
lime disease and has been ever since I was Daisy.

Speaker 2 (29:06):
Yeah, and Daisy went on and did a thing in
Germany that's becoming more and more popular for people with
lime disease. It's like it heats up the shells, the
lime shells breaks them up, and then you put in antibiotics
and it kills them.

Speaker 4 (29:19):
Yeah, her body temperature went down to like seventy or so.

Speaker 2 (29:22):
Yeah, So it's a really wild treatment, but it's working.
It's expensive, obviously it takes travel to go to it,
but it's also you need to know that that's what
you have going on before you can really go. And
lime disease is kind of hard to be you know,
it's not identified yet. There's so much there. Actually, it's

(29:45):
frustrating when it comes to lime disease. Hannah Ann shares
the gender and special meeting behind her baby's name. Just
kind of mentioned it, But congratulations to Hannah Ann and
her husband, football player Jake Funk, on the the birth
of their first child. They got married just an Italian

(30:06):
countryside last year if you missed that, but Ashley, they
did have their first baby. Gender and name.

Speaker 3 (30:13):
He's a boy.

Speaker 4 (30:14):
They never talked about on social media, whither's or a
girl or a boy. His name is Lucas James Funk.
He was born on November twentieth, and there's a special name.
There's a special meeting behind the name. He is Lucas because
they got engaged in Cobbos St. Lucas and James is

(30:34):
after Jake's dad who passed away a year or so ago,
and that was so sad to hear about. And she said,
Lucas James, you are dream come true. Will cheer you
on for the rest of our lives. We loved you,
big boy. He is so cute. And I loved seeing
Jake's face in the content that she posted when the baby.

Speaker 3 (30:57):
Was coming out. It was hilarious.

Speaker 2 (31:00):
We're very excited for the two of them. Obviously. This
is a couple that so many of us know and love,
and he's a former cult so we gotta love that guy.
I just gotta love him all right. Final headline of
today Crystal Nielsen. She shares an update after an incredibly

(31:22):
tough week in the nick You Ashlely, you and I
mentioned this during our last headlines, but we didn't have
much context yet. It kind of been kept quiet for
her own personal reasons. But we're gonna get a little
more information and we promised the listeners we'd follow up
with it.

Speaker 3 (31:38):
Yeah.

Speaker 4 (31:39):
So she posted a really cute picture of the family,
thanksgiving them being, saying that after an incredibly tough week,
Rowan was discharged to the Nicky last night and we're
all home together at last. Emotions are hard to put
into words, trauma, grief, overwhelming, gratitude, all tangled together. Then
give him the bottom our hearts for every prayer message

(32:01):
and every little bit of love that you send our way.
We're being held by our family and close friends in
this amazing online community, and it is meant more than
you'll ever know during one of the hardest weeks we've
ever faced. But everyone now is healthy, stable, and home
and we're so so grateful, and now the gentle work
of healing begins.

Speaker 3 (32:21):
I'm sure she'll kind of detail. I mean, maybe she won't,
but maybe she will.

Speaker 4 (32:24):
But obviously something happened in the birth that was incredibly scary,
and we're just so glad everything has worked out and
everybody's doing well.

Speaker 2 (32:33):
Yeah, I mean she doesn't obviously have to yes', but
at all. I'd be lying if I said I'm not
interested or I know, curious, but I'm glad. I mean
that final note is is so valuable that everybody's home,
happy and healthy. That is a gift that we just

(32:55):
cannot ignore. Well, that's all the headlines we have for
you this week. We'll be back more this week with
some breakdowns of stories that are happening in the headline,
so stay tuned to listen to those. In addition to that,
we'll have some interviews. We'll also get more Frankie Fridays
going for you as we break down and get excited

(33:17):
for this upcoming season of the Bachelorette. Until next time,
I've Been Ben.

Speaker 3 (33:23):

Are You A Charlotte?

Are You A Charlotte?

In 1997, actress Kristin Davis’ life was forever changed when she took on the role of Charlotte York in Sex and the City. As we watched Carrie, Samantha, Miranda and Charlotte navigate relationships in NYC, the show helped push once unacceptable conversation topics out of the shadows and altered the narrative around women and sex. We all saw ourselves in them as they searched for fulfillment in life, sex and friendships. Now, Kristin Davis wants to connect with you, the fans, and share untold stories and all the behind the scenes. Together, with Kristin and special guests, what will begin with Sex and the City will evolve into talks about themes that are still so relevant today. "Are you a Charlotte?" is much more than just rewatching this beloved show, it brings the past and the present together as we talk with heart, humor and of course some optimism.
