so curious to hear your thoughts on Justin Bieber's performance.

I think if you're a fan, and I'm sorry, if
you're a young fan, if you came up and you're
about the same age, you were.

did something so different that they appreciated it and could.

not really respect those songs as they should be and
should be played and performed, and like I brought up
despositough was that even played. I don't even know if
that was played. So to get a little bit of baby,
I thought, when the whole thing kicked off, I thought,
if that idea went for five minutes, hey, that's kind

of interesting, because let's be honest, the first five to
seven songs whatever from Swag and Swag too not my thing,
you know what I mean.

It's okay ish, I love the Daisy song, a great
song to close with, and outside of that, everything else
is just eh okay to me. So at least I
was like, all right, well, at least he's front loading
with the songs that I don't care so much about.
We'll get the hits done properly. At the end, he'll
bring this home so to me, it wasn't brought home
all the way.

Narrative of you and I being old or something that
we don't get it, that's bullshit. We love music our

You could still look at someone's performance and be able
to judge it and say, I think that this is

of us, who I think gave a better performance than Bieber.

It was fantastic. I mean, I've seen nine inch Nails.

Well, it should be clarified. It's a new project. It's
a collaboration between nine inch Nails and this German producer
Boys Noise, So it felt different and cool and special.

You basically said everything that I said in my video,
like literally everything like I said, y'all, I called it

to what you said, you might have said hunched over,
I said, we're going to get a repeat of Frank
Ocean from twenty sixteen. And it basically was that, you know,
it was Frank Ocean two point zero. But I also said,

the people there in the audience watching live in the
desert seemed to really enjoy it, and that's what matters.
But it didn't translate well from me at home watching
on social media.

But he gave something, and his fans are so ravenous
they'll take anything. However, it's just human nature to compare,
and when you compare Bieber's performance to the Friday night headliner,
Sabrina Carpenter. I'm like Jesus Christ. It's like an F
compared to an A plus. The thing about Sabrina that

was so exceptional is that not that long ago? What
is it like six months ago, five months ago, eight
months ago? In the very recent past, she finished.

But she could have just repurposed or had like half
of that and half new stuff. No, she'd did an
entire new show with amazingness. And some Bieber fans will
justin doesn't need all that, Yes he does. If you're
going to do a venue as big as Coachella outdoors
with hundreds of thousands of people. Actually, and I like

to compliment, you know, if Bieber would have done that
show at a venue that's like a thousand seats and
it would have been broadcast, it would have been a
totally different vibe. It could have really worked in a
small venue as this intimate experience, well for me as
a viewer, as a viewer, not in person. Like I said,
people in the desert really enjoyed it.

But I think if it was look, if this was
like he did let's say the Rose Ball, it's the
biggest place I could think of and he did that
for his fans. I got no problem with that. That's
the show that he wants to put on you. That's
for his fans.

Right, it's a little bigger. It's an opportunity to show
everybody else what you do. And granted, you gotta be honest,
most of the people were there for Bieber. I mean
they really were. So he controlled the crowd, is what
I'm saying. But if it was his concert, I think
this is so much more. And I shouldn't say forgivable.
He's an artist, he can do whatever he wants. But

I just I would have expected a little more. That's
why I kind of leaned on that word lazy. You
know what, Maybe lazy is the wrong word, right, I
recognize that as well.

I've had two days to think about it, He's got
an esthetic and the esthetic is oh my god, this

if she showed everybody a little bit more of that,
because it did have a theme. But you're right, thematically,

this wasn't it at all. This was a little disconjointed,
if you ask me, because there was no the tour
was like almost like a story like we're watching Greece
or something where this felt like a lot of different things,

Oh my god. I mean it was a lot of karaoke.
But if you're gonna fucking do karaoke, this is how
you do it. Teddy Swims brought out Joe Jonas to
like dust off a classic song from the past, and
then he did the same with Vanessa Carlton, who came
and did what no, no, no, no, no, no whatever, And

then some assholes were criticizing her how she sounded. Fuckers,
she was probably nervous as all.

at the Hollywood Bowl, she performed we talked about recently
with her father at Sofi Stadium in Los Angeles. Her
parents have made a clear choice to make this twelve
year old child a public figure. So if you're a
public figure, the public is gonna have opinions. And I
can express my opinion on this twelve year old child

in a way that is not cruel, nasty, mean, and hurtful.
I understand this kid's desire to go to Coachella. But
I'm just gonna say it, I think this is bad parenting.

and that was her Coachella debut. I think it'd be
cool if she did what Madonna did that one year
where Madonna played the tent instead of the main stage.

And I actually think she would do it, because like,
the cool thing about what Jlo's been doing this year
is she's just been doing whatever the fuck she wants,

of interesting, because let's be honest, the first five to

it was Frank Ocean two point zero. But I also said,

Sabrina Carpenter. I'm like Jesus Christ. It's like an F
compared to an A plus. The thing about Sabrina that

was so exceptional is that not that long ago? What
is it like six months ago, five months ago, eight
months ago? In the very recent past, she finished.

But she could have just repurposed or had like half
of that and half new stuff. No, she'd did an
entire new show with amazingness. And some Bieber fans will
justin doesn't need all that, Yes he does. If you're

to compliment, you know, if Bieber would have done that
show at a venue that's like a thousand seats and
it would have been broadcast, it would have been a
totally different vibe. It could have really worked in a
small venue as this intimate experience, well for me as
a viewer, as a viewer, not in person. Like I said,
people in the desert really enjoyed it.

But I think if it was look, if this was
like he did let's say the Rose Ball, it's the
biggest place I could think of and he did that
for his fans. I got no problem with that. That's
the show that he wants to put on you. That's

Right, it's a little bigger. It's an opportunity to show
everybody else what you do. And granted, you gotta be honest,
most of the people were there for Bieber. I mean

He's an artist, he can do whatever he wants. But

I just I would have expected a little more. That's
why I kind of leaned on that word lazy. You

recognize that as well.

at the Hollywood Bowl, she performed we talked about recently
with her father at Sofi Stadium in Los Angeles. Her
parents have made a clear choice to make this twelve
year old child a public figure. So if you're a
public figure, the public is gonna have opinions. And I
can express my opinion on this twelve year old child

in a way that is not cruel, nasty, mean, and hurtful.
I understand this kid's desire to go to Coachella. But
I'm just gonna say it, I think this is bad parenting.

the cool thing about what Jlo's been doing this year
is she's just been doing whatever the fuck she wants,
