The gang is all here.
Speaker 4 (02:03):
Speedy Greg Adler, Fellas, welcome back. It's time for us
to hang out. Again and been looking forward to it. Uh,
you know, I did something that sometimes our job calls for.
It does feel weird when the summer brings longer days.
I had to do the thing last night where I
went to bed and it was still daylight.
Speaker 3 (02:25):
Too weird. It's a weird fit. Yeah, I got real
sleepy and right out. Yeah strange. I mean, y'all did good. Yeah,
y'all did good, real good. Okay, Yeah, well done, Jenten.
Speaker 4 (02:36):
I like that when you get up for the middle
of the night toilet run and you realize it's midnight
and you think that I've almost knocked five out. Oh wow, Yeah,
so I wasn't quite at five. I hit the pillow
about seven thirty. Yeah, and I probably was out by
seven forty five seven forty wow.
Speaker 3 (02:57):
I'm jealous right now.
Speaker 8 (02:59):
Jealous. I'm impressed.
Speaker 3 (03:00):
Yeah all that.
Speaker 4 (03:01):
Yeah, now, Sherry, you know probably what Greg got. I
was completely out on the couch and Sherry and just say,
why are you doing this?
Speaker 3 (03:07):
Why aren't you just go to bed?
Speaker 4 (03:09):
At least it did the same, and she had a
good point. She goes, I mean, you're doing nothing, but
you're sleeping in here. You might as well be in
the bed.
Speaker 3 (03:15):
Okay, it's tough, and most of that are listening live
now you get it. Sure, you live that life because
it is funny. You go up with us. Sometimes it's
tough because you know Terry she gets up early, but
not as early. So sometimes she's like, hey, do you
want to go to bed early? And it's like eight
forty five. I'm like, you know, I get right now,
I get six hours. If I right now, so early
(03:36):
would have been seven. But it's tough.
Speaker 8 (03:38):
Normal would have been like seven fifteen.
Speaker 3 (03:40):
Really right, right? It is?
Speaker 4 (03:43):
It is, it is, And I don't do that if
something's going on. Oh yeah, like I say, I always
say this, and you know everybody laughs, and there's there's
different versions of this under this one heading. Look, I'm
willing to stay up if I can get a better offer,
right you know whatever that means. Yeah, whatever that may mean.
And if I don't get a better offer, then I
(04:04):
think we'll sleep. Probably is the best offer, because I mean,
you know, we needed, we need to be ready to go.
I would like to be eight thirty be my cutoff.
I need no matter what, I need to be in
bed by eight thirty. But like I say, I don't know, well,
I figure, if all I'm doing is sleeping, Sherry and
our wives, great, at least they make good points. If
you're just going to sleep on the couch, why don't
(04:25):
you just go get into bed?
Speaker 3 (04:26):
Yeah, yeah, there's no right right trying to watch this show.
Speaker 4 (04:31):
Honestly, I didn't, you know, and I know we say
this all the time, Sherry. Last night is that thing
where you don't want to commit to anything. You know,
we had a nice dinner, we sat around, we talked
about things. Yeah, you know, which means I listened a lot,
and and so we So she says, well, you just
want to go down there and like just throw something
on and peddle arounds, get caught up on what's going
(04:52):
on in the world or something, not really commit to anything. Well, honestly,
once you sit down with whatever your news source is
and you watch fifteen minutes of whatever shows on the time,
you're caught up. Yeah, and then the rest of the
programming's just repeating these same stories over and over again
with different hosts with the same slant. Yeah, that's true, right,
(05:12):
which is fine. I mean that that's okay, But what
I mean is there, No, I don't I'm not missing
anything I've been Okay, that's the state of that. Matter
of fact, I saw one before I went to sleep
last night that I mean Sherry and No. We were
celebrating what a big win with the University of Pennsylvania. Yeah,
involved involving men and women's sports. I mean Riley Gaines,
(05:37):
uh and that movement. They had a big win last
night for forbidden biological men to compete against women. It
was a big victory that one took his titles. Yeah,
that was a biggie. Yeah, for for a liberal university
like that to adhere to it. No more locker rooms,
no more bathrooms, no body, no, no more competing against them.
(05:58):
That's that's a big win.
Speaker 3 (06:00):
Of course.
Speaker 4 (06:00):
I can't believe we have to have executive orders and
legislation on something that.
Speaker 3 (06:08):
Just defies logic.
Speaker 4 (06:10):
Yeah, I mean that is such a chewing gum walking
around point like. And that's why you said, Greg, why
should we have to make it again? It's so glaringly obvious.
I have nothing new to say about it. Ye, yeah,
you know, but what is the case. Yeah, but I
like that there's an update that since that, people are
actually starting to say, you.
Speaker 3 (06:28):
Know, Riley Gaines was on Laura Ingram last night on
the news, and and and she was like, I can't
believe looking back at it and seeing footage and here
in commentary, I can't believe we even we're there. How
did it sounds crazy? Yeah, it shouldn't ever happen.
Speaker 4 (06:45):
No, you know, so I just to me that was
you know, even when you were saying, now, keep in mind,
one of the biggest problems we have too when you
get into the world of transgender and we've said this
again too, is don't forget that something that the tiniest
of tiny percentage of people actually truly struggle with, uh,
(07:06):
in the realm of mental illness, gender dysphoria, that was
a very serious thing and something to have compassion about
and help people. And suddenly something that that difficult became trendy.
It's trendy. Can you believe what's even coming out of
(07:27):
my mouth into the microphone out to various sources. How
can something like that suddenly become trendy like a tattoo?
Speaker 8 (07:35):
Well, they made it special and brave and all these things.
Speaker 9 (07:38):
And when when when you're that's what you're talking about,
it is a small group of people that are very
unhappy with themselves, and it's a sad situation and we
should be we should have compassion for that, of course,
but they turned it into a protective class of individual
that gets special treatment and it makes you special and
you're brave for doing this and we support you and
you're popular now and all that.
Speaker 8 (07:59):
It's really sad.
Speaker 4 (08:00):
So if I'm somebody who feels like I'm an outcast,
and I see all these people saying, well, if you
would just uh declare that you're your wrong biological gender,
come over here. We'll all hang out, have parties and
celebrate you. Some people might say, well that that sounds
better than the life I have right now. I understand that,
but it's extremely serious, and we're really damaging a lot
(08:21):
of people, especially the ones we mutilate. You know, it's
one thing to say, I try a tattoo and I
regretted it. You know, I tried the mullet. That was
a mistake. I'm wearing some trendy clothing right now.
Speaker 3 (08:34):
Uh.
Speaker 4 (08:34):
You know, I decided that I would start liking soccer,
you know, things like that. Yeah, yeah, you can. You
can because the trend got to you. You know, you can.
You can just be done with that and move on
with your life. When you've got got talked into a
trend that caused you to mutilate your body and take
pills and hormones that messed you up, that's yeah, that's that's.
Speaker 3 (08:57):
Not so blocking.
Speaker 4 (08:57):
That shouldn't be a trendy right now, you know, just
because you want to be maud. That's a very serious thing.
Speaker 3 (09:05):
Yeah. Yeah.
Speaker 4 (09:05):
And then and then this thing about you know, just
declaring someone as a female because they say it, and
and they're fully male when they compete athletically are enough
male that it's an unfair advantage. That was just such
a logical thing, and people pretending it wasn't. It goes
(09:27):
back to what we've been saying. They're just living in
a fake, fantasy world. It's not the real world.
Speaker 8 (09:33):
YEA gender affirming care is the exact opposite.
Speaker 9 (09:36):
That's just a that's just a lie, how it is.
Speaker 8 (09:39):
It's it's like, uh.
Speaker 3 (09:42):
I've agreed to to damage you for the rest.
Speaker 8 (09:44):
Of your life.
Speaker 4 (09:45):
Yes, and and somehow how that's called good parenting.
Speaker 3 (09:51):
Well, we got to spend some time and go over
what up. Uh. University of Pennsylvania has got to do
the actions they have to take it's big win, Oh
big win. We'll be back.
Speaker 1 (10:03):
This is the Rick Burgess show Men Don't Run in
the Raid. The new book by Rick Bridges available no
(10:26):
wherever you get books.
Speaker 3 (10:29):
Thank you for the continued feedback.
Speaker 4 (10:31):
Also thank you CBS forty two out of Birmingham and
David Lamb.
Speaker 3 (10:36):
He stopped by yesterday after the show.
Speaker 4 (10:39):
We got to talk about the book a little bit
and you should see that if that's your CBS affiliate.
Speaker 3 (10:44):
But now, like just like.
Speaker 4 (10:46):
Us, all of any platform, any station, any show can
be seen and heard anywhere, you know, if you can
find the streaming part of what they did. So anyway,
he said, probably be out this weekend. Kind of him
to come by and visit and spend some time. And
I think some other some of you keep asking, you know,
(11:06):
men in in the arena, was that the one a
lot of you keep asking me about. I did that podcast.
I was told it would come out in July. I
haven't seen that yet, so if I see it before
you do, I'll let you know. And then I also
did something with Randy Robinson, James Robinson's son, the evangelist,
(11:27):
is it Life Today, Live Today? So anyway, so that
those those should be coming out here in the next
few days. So so anyway, some of you were asking
about some of those and and getting great feedback from
some of those mini podcasts that we've done too that
drop at various times. So thanks for all that and
and and all your feedback on the book. So let's
(11:49):
you were mentioning, somebody asked from TECHWA Yeah, Life Today Live.
So all of this is happening with the transgender sports
because of an executive order?
Speaker 3 (12:02):
Is that correct? Well, it was an investigation, is what
it was. US Department of Education. They did an investigation
through the Trump administration about possible Title nine violations that
occurred during this whole deal with Leah Thomas in the
swimming program.
Speaker 4 (12:21):
And we're asking because could if we decide as a nation,
why would we but it can happen to put another
leftist loon in?
Speaker 3 (12:31):
Yeah?
Speaker 4 (12:32):
Would they just come in and turn all this right
back around?
Speaker 10 (12:34):
Yeah?
Speaker 3 (12:34):
No, it looks like to me that UPEN agreed to
a resolution that the Trump administration had to keep biological
mail trans athletes out of women's sports, and they started
back in February an investigation of Title nine violations, And
it looks like that Yesterday, the Department of Education announced
that UPEN has entered a resolution agreement to comply with
(12:57):
Title nine of the Education Amendments of nineteen seventy two.
So it looks like through their investigation they found all
kinds of violations, of course, and per the Department of
Education's announcement, UPEN has agreed to follow tons of actions here,
and one is to restore to female athletes all individual
division IE swimming records from University of Pennsylvania about that
(13:20):
titles are similar recognitions. UPEN has also issued a public
statement to the university community stating that it will comply
with Title nine, specifying that UPEN will not be allowing
males to compete in female athletic programs or comply with
pen athletic female facility or get into the facilities like
(13:41):
the men going into the women's locker room and all
that stuff, and also specified that they will adopt by law,
see what is it definitions of male and female and
it's sad that we have to do that. Yes, that
the definitions of what the word male and female mean
per Title nine and considerant with President Trump's executive orders
(14:02):
defending women from gender ideology, extremism. Also, they said they
will have to post a statement in prominent locations on
the main website and other websites for women athletics that
that show all this, and the list goes on and on.
They even said that they're going to have to send
a personalized letter of apology to each impacted female swimmer
(14:24):
and uh. And they also said that they they will
have to rescind any guidance which violates Title nine uh
that they that they were involved with. So it was
a big win for protecting uh women in female sports. UH.
And U pen Is now looks like it has uh,
(14:45):
it has gonna you know, I guess followed the Trump's
mandate for protecting women's sports.
Speaker 9 (14:51):
And if they didn't comply, there was going to be
financial consequences. Yeah, Penn is a private pen Is a
private school.
Speaker 10 (14:59):
Uh.
Speaker 9 (14:59):
But it received about one billion dollars in federal funds
in twenty twenty four, unlike the state of Maine, which
continues to fight the federal government despite being found in
violation of Title Title nine. And we saw what was
it the governor of Maine and Trump did that have
that sparring match over that Penn has made the appropriate
(15:20):
decision to stop allowing males to compete in women athletics.
Speaker 3 (15:24):
So Leah Leah for Penn is going to be stripped
of anything that that Leah Thomas in their record, in
their record, Yeah.
Speaker 9 (15:31):
William Thomas, sorry that that was his name like a
very short time ago.
Speaker 3 (15:37):
So there you go. That's a big win.
Speaker 4 (15:39):
But to the textures question, yes, all this does though
come from an executive order, a mandate from the Trump administration.
Speaker 3 (15:49):
So yes, you are right.
Speaker 4 (15:51):
You put the wrong administration back in there, and a
lot of this stuff could.
Speaker 3 (15:56):
Be just be reversed.
Speaker 4 (15:57):
Now hold on, though, I'm not talking about it, this
pennsylvani thing. I'm talking about how the Pennsylvania thing happened,
the source that came from, because it has no power.
If there was not an executive order to force this investigation,
to enforce this investigation, what will happen if you put
another organization in the pen stuff will stand, but you
(16:18):
won't go and you know you'll lose, You'll lose the teeth.
Speaker 3 (16:22):
What about the bodies?
Speaker 4 (16:23):
Uh, they're talking about changing the name to the Forts,
you remember, because we've changed them, changing them back. They've
already renamed that ship after that what's his name. I mean,
can they not just come in and throw it all back?
They can't if it's an executive order. Then when the
administration comes in, so it's really got if they don't
(16:45):
win the next election, all that's going to go back. Yes,
if that's what the administration wants to do, that we're
gonna keep spending money on signage and all this changed names.
And heg Seth is the one that ordered the changing back.
Speaker 11 (16:59):
Ye.
Speaker 4 (16:59):
So, but he's part of the administration the next So
that's that's the way. That's the problem, cause a lot
of money changing names. Well, what we've said a thousand times,
even back in the Rick and Bubba days, that's the
deal with executive orders.
Speaker 3 (17:16):
You live and die by them.
Speaker 4 (17:18):
So if you if you love them, then you better
not lose an election because if you lose an election
and you put the other end of the political the
other end of the political spectrum in power, and they
choose to reverse them, you know they have to. They
may not want, but if they do and then they
take heg Seth out put their guy in changes I'm sorry,
(17:39):
I'm sorry they're trans woman in Uh, then that person
can just go back and say naming them all.
Speaker 3 (17:44):
Back, yeah, you know, which is really just but not.
Speaker 4 (17:48):
But the Pennsylvania thing is a big win because the
university has admitted they have that's different, but it wouldn't
happen without the teeth of the mandate. So so anyway,
so that's a big win, and hopefully it will now
be the beauty when you get a big win like
that is now other people who file similar suits against
(18:10):
universities now have a precedent that they can go back
to and say, well, what's the difference. I mean, there
you go. So that was a big deal.
Speaker 3 (18:16):
It was. We'll be back a lot to do, a
lot to do, man, we'll line back all of it.
Speaker 4 (18:24):
Looks like out over in the celebrity world too, the
Diddy jury, yeah at least has reached a partial verdict.
And the sex trafficking racketeering trial we'll look at that
today too, The big beautiful Bill, how's it doing? And
then of course goofy stuff within our own lives. All
that is still ahead.
Speaker 1 (18:43):
This is the Rick Burgess Show.

Speaker 4 (20:50):
Yeah, we'll continue our study of job today. Hope you'll
join us if you miss it. The archive comes out
not long after on our YouTube podcast channel.
Speaker 3 (20:57):
All right, so I'm going to bring some up.
Speaker 4 (21:02):
I know, Adaer, you and Speedy have been following this
the still with Greg, my sister and me, you know,
taking care of Mama eighty three years old now, and
you know which she she needs a little help and
we help her, and we've been talking about how she,
you know, has been very clear about everybody's role. Still
(21:24):
a little gray on Angie's that, but I know that
she our sister takes care of her two and one
of her sons comes and stays with her a lot,
which is great and really does help out. All kidding aside,
but I thought it was clear clear because my mom
(21:44):
made it very clear to me that she prefers GREG
on groceries and things like that. We got that today.
I heard that like it was coming through a PA system.
Got it okay, found out again? Yes, study, I know
it really kills you, and that one hurt, you know,
but I'm clearly don't throw me into the bribery the
rent guy, paperwork guy, any kind of stuff involving dad's
(22:05):
affairs after he passed. I'm that guy. My Mom's made
that very clear. I'm I'm I'm legal guy, I'm life
insurance guy, I'm accidental death insurance guy. You know, hey,
we need this least done for where I stay. She's
clearly said that, Hey, Rick, you're that guy, you know,
better known as primary. Okay, and you've let everybody know
(22:29):
about it.
Speaker 3 (22:29):
Right.
Speaker 4 (22:30):
So I had some paperwork that mom and I were
working on involving, you know, more stuff with insurance and
all this stuff, and so i'd said, Mama, coming by,
you need to sign this. I'll be the witness. We
need to send it in, you know, and and then
all this.
Speaker 3 (22:48):
Should be resolved. Okay.
Speaker 4 (22:50):
I've been working on it, got it handled. Have you
did you get that thing in the mail? Yes, ma'am,
I got it. You know, they send it to me.
And because you know that's I'm primary okay. And so
I come rolling up as soon as our around the corner.
There's a great truck sitting out there in front of
mom's cottage. And I'm like, what is he doing here?
Speaker 12 (23:08):
What?
Speaker 4 (23:08):
And then and then I get out and there he is.
I said, hey, this is my stuff there. You don't
need to be here.
Speaker 3 (23:15):
And you wanted to pull up and see your truck?
Speaker 1 (23:18):
What what?
Speaker 4 (23:19):
You didn't have no business over there yesterday? Had you
know they got all this stuff that the gate and
let people in and saw you got an app and
you go on and do that. Well, hers got logged
out somehow. She couldn't get it to log back in.
And uh so I went by there. Of course I
just took it up to the front, said he. But anyway,
she also wanted me to ask them. Is she the
(23:41):
only one that doesn't like the gate?
Speaker 3 (23:43):
His mother? I don't think they're taking a pole.
Speaker 4 (23:44):
Don't forget this. People try to live in gated community.
Speaker 3 (23:48):
She's mad about it. Mom doesn't want the gate like it.
Speaker 4 (23:51):
She they want me to ask if she was the
only one that didn't like I say, you any greg
to petition to the place she's staying.
Speaker 3 (23:58):
She's basically anti the gate. You're gonna take it down.
You know why she didn't like the gate.
Speaker 4 (24:02):
Says that it messes up her Walmart deliveries and things
like that.
Speaker 3 (24:05):
And oh yeah, I would think communicating with any delivery
with the gates tough. Well, you didn't have to get there.
Speaker 4 (24:10):
And on her phone, you're right, Yeah, she can open
the gate from her part right, just buzzy and had
locked down and there was you had to have you
ever noticed that when she does have it working though
she thinks she's sharp with it.
Speaker 3 (24:22):
Oh yeah, she'll open the gate for you.
Speaker 13 (24:24):
I know.
Speaker 4 (24:24):
I was like, Mama, I know the comment, and she'll
press her phone. Watch you I can, I said, but
I had it. You didn't have to do that. Well,
I also saved the day yesterday Amazon delivery. The woman
was outside keeping around with the gate. And what was
funny is the way that those trucks are. You know,
the trucks are so big. She had her door open.
The woman working for Amazon delivery person, she's messing around
(24:48):
with the pad, trying to get the gate open, and
the gate is open. I guess she did it right.
And then realizing it's opening, and I and we're all
and she's still messing with and the gates open.
Speaker 3 (24:57):
Find I said, hey, the gate's open, and she looked up.
She goes, oh, thank you, and jump back in and
drove through it to catch you pay attention to the gate.
Speaker 4 (25:06):
I don't want to brag or anything, right, I actually
have the thing that hangs in my truck that will
open the gate for me.
Speaker 3 (25:11):
I don't have to type anything. And there's only one
and I got, wow, you that thing opens up my
driver right on. It clearly should be mine. Gave it
to me. Primary Primary Grocery has got it.
Speaker 4 (25:27):
Do you know she never mentioned that thing to me?
Did you mention? Because she gave it to me immediately.
But anyway, so I gotta pull up that baby. It
is open. Tell the guys, did I run you off yesterday?
Speaker 3 (25:38):
I told me to leave and all that.
Speaker 4 (25:40):
I said, you need to go. I said, we got
we got legal stuff to handle, which is my area
because because why because I'm primary. Of course you don't
have a past, you know that's.
Speaker 8 (25:49):
He kin tells me that you're by the way, primary primaries.
Speaker 4 (25:55):
I will admit that hurt because I'm still keeping around
with the combo.
Speaker 14 (26:00):
You know what.
Speaker 3 (26:02):
When I used to have to do the combo? If
the sun shine and you can't see.
Speaker 4 (26:04):
It, what worse? What about when you're wearing the right
kind of sunglasses? And that day I thought I thought
that something was wrong with the pay. I couldn't see
it and I couldn't see it and because of the
ultra violet right, what.
Speaker 3 (26:15):
I got to know, Didroyd you went up to the office.
Did you get that resolved? Yes? Smart that you just said,
hey here, Yeah, I wasn't going with it. No, that's
so they knocked it out and you kind of struck
back in here go Mom. And by the way, Mom
wants me to ask if she's the only one that
doesn't like the gate right before I leave. I just
need that. I mean, I said, I don't know if
(26:36):
you're taking a pole right? And is it up for
a boat? So it happened again. I sat down.
Speaker 4 (26:42):
I had about probably two two and a half hours.
I was just gonna hang out with mom after getting
the legal paperwork done, and we're talking. I said, well, Mom,
I said, is there do you? How are you doing
on groceries?
Speaker 3 (26:54):
And I said, and I.
Speaker 4 (26:55):
Said, what what was that? Greg's taking an tomorrow And
I said, well we could do it now.
Speaker 3 (27:03):
She just a shake off. She's done.
Speaker 4 (27:06):
No c I'm okay, I said, so what did you say? Well,
Gregg's gonna come get me more. So okay, all right,
I said, of course, you know, we just handled some
paperwork today. It was pretty important. No, no, thank you,
thank you very much. So I can I can take
care of accidental insurance, but I can't take care of snacks,
(27:31):
not just really great tating. And it's always I ain't
got much. I don't have much to get, and then
that bug will be full. She'll say stuff you won't, but.
Speaker 3 (27:39):
You'll let her do it, so he won't. That's true.
Speaker 4 (27:41):
That's why guys, come on, I mean, how many buy one,
get one freeze?
Speaker 3 (27:44):
Are there? They're all right here, let's pick up. And
that's why you won't.
Speaker 8 (27:47):
Go right, don't rush her, don't rush her.
Speaker 3 (27:49):
Yeah, it's her grocery run right right by the way.
Speaker 4 (27:53):
People saying that I was not allowed to have the
thing hanging on the mirror because I would lose it.
Speaker 3 (27:57):
That's a fact. That's true. Now he's not much better,
but he is better. I'm keeping up with things. By
the way. A little bit on that note.
Speaker 4 (28:05):
You know, I finally got my wristbands, you know, for
the big production coming up Friday. Boy, did you I
get home to get home all my bag? She says, well,
my goodness, they put more in here than we need.
And I said, no, there should just be four in there.
She said no, there's like seven or eight in here.
And I said, what do you mean there's that many
(28:26):
in there? And she goes, well, some of them were
actually inside the water bottles.
Speaker 3 (28:31):
So you did have them, You did have them? You
made you mad? Yes, that's what.
Speaker 4 (28:38):
Yes, what are they doing inside the water bottles?
Speaker 3 (28:44):
And you know, here's what they're said. They've probably told
you that's where they.
Speaker 4 (28:47):
Know they didn't, which it's kind not really.
Speaker 8 (28:53):
Oh, my goodness, is a clear water bottle? They were
in their visits.
Speaker 4 (28:57):
They they're blue, they're kind of blue. So you don't
I didn't expect to look in there and see a wristband.
Speaker 3 (29:03):
I'll give you that. Hey, you don't think he was
told the wristbands are in the water bottle? And they
kept going, I know we brought him.
Speaker 8 (29:13):
No.
Speaker 4 (29:14):
I sent an email and said, I don't see the wristbands.
Am I missing something? Where would they be.
Speaker 3 (29:23):
Wristbands? How you so? So you're saying they should have
said in the water bottle? Were the good news is?
Speaker 4 (29:30):
Good news is I have extras for all of y'all.
Speaker 3 (29:33):
I know what you're doing with that, right, son? You
text we're supposed to be there.
Speaker 4 (29:36):
I'm gonna tell you text some wristbands today. See y'all
at American Village. I can see, would be so much fun.
I'll be the one standing next to George Washington. That's right,
with long founder. We're going by the way they sent
me the script. Wow, right, I almost want to come
just to see it.
Speaker 3 (29:56):
Wow. I don't remember Speagl talking that much. Hey, do
you know that afternoon traffic in the metro it's tough.
She found him. Well, yeah, but she's very detailed. Somebody
spent like twenty five minutes in traffic just getting here. Yeah,
and it's twenty five back and you had the whole time,
and every probably didn't feel good. But you know that
(30:18):
because that has lots to do. Well, he won't let
me along.
Speaker 13 (30:21):
I go now.
Speaker 4 (30:22):
I know that was a salesperson, super serving a client.
Speaker 8 (30:27):
Hey, heck of a fireworks show though, Oh right, I
got that right there.
Speaker 4 (30:30):
Now you've got extras for it.
Speaker 3 (30:34):
I'm standing right in front of it. That's where I'll be.
Speaker 1 (30:37):
This is the Rick Burgess Show. This is what Trump
had in mind when he sought to make America great again.
The Rick Burgers Show.
Speaker 4 (30:55):
Thank you for being with us today, America. We are
fired up and what an honor.
Speaker 3 (31:01):
It is to be here. So a couple of things
will update you own.
Speaker 4 (31:06):
First of all, so now that we have everything, I
think we need those of you that will be coming
to American Village Friday for the fireworks extravaganza. Uh, they're
in Mana Vallo, Alabama. Look forward to seeing all of
you there, Sherry and I are looking forward to that.
So also, don't forget we're off on Friday, as a
lot of you are. So you'll have a Rick Burgers
(31:28):
Show replay. An old show will be played back. So
but you guys enjoy a three day weekend.
Speaker 3 (31:35):
Yeah, baby, bless you. Oh God, little piece of sausage
went the wrong way. So let me do this right here.
I'm on with it. Yeah, you know Friday, Rick it's
it's uh. It's a selection of about four or five,
well five different hours from previous shows all put together
for one show. So it should be great. Y'all.
Speaker 4 (31:55):
Enjoy that, enjoyed the three day weekend, and then Lord
William moving back on Monday, ready to go. But we
still have another day this week, and we have today
and tomorrow a couple of things. Trump's a big beautiful bill.
Clear's final final hurdle before the House wide vote. So
it looks like the House Rules Committee has teed up
(32:16):
the big beautiful bill for a chamber wide vote today.
After nearly a twelve hour long session debating the massive
piece of legislation, it will now head to the entire
Chamber for consideration, and it looks like we'll see if
it goes through. It looks like two Republicans are going
(32:38):
voted against reporting the bill out of committee, and the
majority of Republican lawmakers appear poised to advance the bill. However,
we'll see. So anyway, so it's clear to hurdle. Now
it goes to a housewide vote today. Yeah, and speaking
of Friday, that's the deadline they wanted. They want to
(33:00):
go all right, So we'll see also did he You've
been gravely concerned about the fate of Diddy?
Speaker 3 (33:09):
Did he on trial?
Speaker 4 (33:10):
Looks like uh, the Diddy sex trafficking racketeering trial reached
a verdict on four of the five counts against the rapper,
but the most severe they couldn't reach a unanimous decision.
That's the racketeering charge count one. Yeah, this was this
account one. This could put him in prison for twenty years. Uh,
(33:32):
So we will see how that goes. The judge has
re read everything to the jury sent them back and
if they can go unanimous on that charge, whatever it
may be, they can now tell us.
Speaker 3 (33:47):
Uh, the decision they've reached on all charges.
Speaker 4 (33:49):
But they have four of the five they've all agreed on,
but the most severe they're still deadlocked.
Speaker 3 (33:57):
So we'll we'll see how that goes. Uh. Also like
that will be today because the judge they all want
to go home before the July Yeah, sure, you know,
and so they feel like that that's going to be
resolved today.
Speaker 4 (34:09):
Now on a much lighter note, Uh, those of us
who use a landscaping service to keep up, you know,
everything taking care of at your home. Many people do.
It's a great business. Landscaping people seem to do quite well.
Their companies are very strong, but this is going to
be a bit of a scar on the landscaping industry.
(34:31):
I hope John Richter is listening. A North Carolina landscaper
found himself in the weeds.
Speaker 3 (34:41):
IDEA.
Speaker 4 (34:41):
Okay, I'm clever. You know they're they're around your house
a lot. They know your house, they're around your house.
Speaker 3 (34:48):
Well.
Speaker 4 (34:49):
The allegation is that while the clients were away, because
he knew it, uh, he threw a large party. They're
at their house, house party house already. Thirty seven year
old Michael Brown is accused of inviting are you ready
for this number? Several hundred people good great to the
home that he provided his service for uh and back
(35:13):
on June twenty first, where he had important line here
previously worked as a yeah yeah. He he allegedly waited
until the homeowners were on vacation and through a massive bash,
even charging an entry fee that.
Speaker 3 (35:29):
He populart yeah cover charge, right, police.
Speaker 4 (35:34):
The problem is if you invite several hundred people to
someone else's home, you know that that trust you with
access to their home. I'm still not sure that it
Maybe this just went on their property, because I most
landscapers don't have access to the inside of the house.
Speaker 3 (35:50):
Might have a nice backyard. I think it was.
Speaker 4 (35:54):
I think it was one of those you know place
he probably reached nice.
Speaker 5 (35:56):
Uh.
Speaker 3 (35:57):
It says that I got over the pool.
Speaker 4 (35:59):
Yeah, well I think right, yeah, I think y'all are
all over this because here's where, here's what, here's what
got in door kitchen. If you're gonna do seven several hundred,
that's that's a lot of loud people that did he
ever take into account obviously maybe not the smartest person. Uh,
did not take into account that the noise would bring
complaints for the rest of the neighborhood loud.
Speaker 3 (36:20):
Yeah, and so I've got simply saved. They see what
you're doing? Right, Hey, what are y'all doing?
Speaker 4 (36:24):
Other neighbors complained about the noise. Uh yeah, And of
course now you have to love him sticking to his plan.
When police got there, he still claimed to be the owner, okay, uh,
that that it was his place just because I said so. Officers,
for whatever reason, did not buy that story when he
(36:45):
claimed that the house belonged to to him, So he
then pivoted to well, you got me it's my grandparents
that that welso also was not true.
Speaker 3 (36:54):
Uh so they should have went with that first. Yep.
Speaker 4 (36:57):
After several other epic failures failures at telling the truth,
he finally admitted that he was just the landscaper and
had no relation to the homeowners whatsoever other than he
did their landscaping.
Speaker 3 (37:09):
So he started out, it's mine, yeah grandparents, Okay, you
got me? Yeah, so free was the homeowner. I would
just say now I told him I was going to
do it, because he wouldn't be listening. I told you
I was going to throw a house party. Remember I
was weed, and you heard me. You shook your head.
Speaker 4 (37:28):
Y'all think I tend not to pay attention to details.
Speaker 3 (37:30):
Got it?
Speaker 4 (37:32):
After several of these attempts, I'd love to hear the others,
the other things that he threw out there.
Speaker 3 (37:37):
Uh.
Speaker 4 (37:38):
Several law enforcement agencies responded to the scene due to
the large number of party goers, with several individuals deciding
to double down on their criminal behavior by leaving the
area recklessly and under the influence of various things. After
numerous traffic stops from people, there were people trying to flee.
Speaker 3 (38:00):
So there's a disruption.
Speaker 4 (38:01):
Apparently they were all kinds of people arrested, he was
finally taken into custody, charged with alleged breaking and entering
injured to real property, obtaining property under false pretense, second
degree trespassing, and contributing to the delinquency of a minor.
All bad stuff. We got miners one day when many years,
(38:22):
because there's a lot of charges. When it's over with,
he does always have this. Dude, you remember that party
you threw it in people's use.
Speaker 3 (38:28):
Huh hey, yeah, here's what I'm still doing their yard
for free. Yeah, twelve years that was epic. That was
a great party till the police showed up. My favorite.
Speaker 4 (38:38):
I'd love to see him if he's somehow objected to
be getting fired. Why what this mean? I don't have
a dumb What I mean, I threw a part of
your house, but your head just look great. Yeah, we
were cleaning up right, Not I could have come right
back and cleaned all this up. Uh So anyway, Uh
that's uh, that's a bobo.
Speaker 3 (38:56):
No. No, yeah, that's when you just say, man, the
weed eater was going. But remember I told you, is
that why you're going while you're going through it? Yeah?
Speaker 4 (39:06):
What you got you got him a Mexican. Now, well,
I didn't know, because I know enough about the man.
I know enough about the man with a thousand voices.
That's what your attempt was. It was because he had
a hand signal, uh don't you. Or it could have
been one of these where it started out small and
then everybody got them, everybody and.
Speaker 3 (39:24):
Cars.
Speaker 4 (39:25):
I wanted all my friends to be happy.
Speaker 3 (39:27):
Okay, now you're in it.
Speaker 4 (39:30):
This is my this is my grandparents' house. Okay, I'm
not the owners my grandparents.
Speaker 3 (39:38):
Don't you. I would just say no, man. I hollered
at you and said, hey, why are you going with
the whole party? No?
Speaker 4 (39:43):
You said fine, No, if if you want to go
like that, if you want to go, yes, if you
want to go Stereo Top, you want to go stereotyp
Mexicans might have attended the party, but it's.
Speaker 3 (39:53):
A white guy that threw it. Oh sure, if you
want to go Stereo.
Speaker 4 (39:57):
Top, the guy that owns the company, it's your standard.
Not so trustworthy wat gun Yeah, okay, right, he orchestrated
this whole thing. Now, the staff might have been there,
and they might have brought their family all in one car.
Speaker 3 (40:12):
Of course, but let me tell you, well.
Speaker 1 (40:15):
This is the Rick Burgess Show.
Speaker 9 (40:22):
Welcome to the Rick Burgess Show.
Speaker 15 (40:29):
The voice of reason for another reasonable.
Speaker 8 (40:38):
Lighten up for incis here we go.
Speaker 3 (40:43):
Let let go America.
Speaker 4 (40:46):
Yeah, another hour speedy, Greg Andler all here, thank you.
Speaker 3 (40:54):
For being with us.
Speaker 4 (40:56):
We have a lot to do still going forward on
the program and you'll.
Speaker 3 (41:00):
Be part of it. Unscreen phone calls coming, Hey bird,
Hey bird. The stories of the.
Speaker 4 (41:05):
Day will knock those out for you as well. So
one thing that that we need to i'd you like
that one?
Speaker 3 (41:13):
Yeah, very night.
Speaker 4 (41:22):
Don't you wish that when when that intro started, that
Adler would have come out of his office with the
axe on and just started wailing on it.
Speaker 3 (41:29):
I mean, uh would have yet with a horse head.
Speaker 4 (41:35):
So uh so anyway, uh this one I heard Greg
dealing with when we when we came to work today. Greg,
it looks like when Todd Christley spent time in Jailly
got into a fisticut. I didn't realize he was so rough.
He got rough, got into a prison fight, a two
white collar criminals going at it. This is hilarious. I
got in a fight with this. This is hilarious. So
(41:56):
apparently when Todd and Julie Christy. Uh, we're we're in well,
I know, I guess Julie's his daughter.
Speaker 3 (42:04):
She did.
Speaker 4 (42:05):
She was on her podcast when Todd and whatever his
wife's names was, when they were serving their time, when
Todd was serving his part, uh in the white collar prison. Yeah,
he's on his daughter's. No, Julie is his wife? His
daughter Savannah? Right, Okay, I don't know.
Speaker 13 (42:20):
There you go.
Speaker 3 (42:21):
That's it. I don't follow the Christians.
Speaker 4 (42:23):
But anyway, both of them, both of them were on
their daughter's Unlocked podcast and they both were talking about
their experience in prison. Now, imagine that interviewing you mom
and dad about their their experience in prison, especially when
talks away right now, let me tell you it's it's
rough in there.
Speaker 3 (42:41):
It's rough. It's rough.
Speaker 4 (42:42):
And I said, you don't somebody held me down and
I mean you went the elbow. So anyway, apparently he
got into a fight in prison. And the guy that
he that he fought in prison, it was also a
mate at this white collar prison was the infamous college
(43:04):
admission scandal mastermind. So you had the tax evader right
going up against the college tuition scandal guy. Yeah, who
was the celebrity couple that that everybody got upset with.
Speaker 8 (43:17):
House.
Speaker 3 (43:18):
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, that was another actress Sam. Yeah.
Speaker 4 (43:21):
So apparently he and William Rick Singer the Collins College
admission celebrity and scandal guy, they got into it and
Greg and Todd that's right, Aunt Becky, Uh Greg, it
was you know what it was. It was stolen Valor
College at mission, you know version of it.
Speaker 1 (43:42):
Huh.
Speaker 4 (43:42):
So here's what Todd Christly said, here's why they got
into a fight.
Speaker 3 (43:45):
Are you ready for this?
Speaker 4 (43:47):
He was talking smack, saying that you know, he didn't
wear a wire, he never told on anyone.
Speaker 3 (43:53):
Uh, the Fed set him up, you know this and
that and the other.
Speaker 4 (43:55):
And I just had enough of it.
Speaker 3 (43:57):
I want to see this fight that he calls. I
do too. I slapped him right across the face. Yes, right,
I like to claw his eyes out right.
Speaker 9 (44:07):
And so.
Speaker 4 (44:10):
Too much smack talking about I didn't wear a wire?
Oh Greg, how about this? He came in to me
and he says, have you started your book yet? And
I said no, I started working on mine, and and
and and I said, what I hope the first chapter
introduces you is the biggest snitch in America and uh,
and apparently I guess Todd was saying, you know, you
sang like a bird and he said, no, I didn't.
Speaker 3 (44:29):
Oh wow, they got they got into and they got
into it.
Speaker 16 (44:32):
Greg.
Speaker 4 (44:32):
I'm gonna tell you what if somebody could show me
that that conflict.
Speaker 9 (44:38):
Snitches get stitches, beautiful sequince stitches.
Speaker 3 (44:46):
So oh I needed document. Yeah, I don't know what
they got, but oh yeah, the Pensacola prison is not that.
I mean, it's pretty much. I'm sure the chill.
Speaker 4 (45:00):
Oh like when they used to send what's one Alabama?
They sent to the Air Force base. They had a
prison there for white collar crimes. Remember that may still
have it. Apparently it's going on further in this story.
Of course, I can't use this quote, but he used
apparently a quote from Full Metal Jacket. Todd Todd, he wasn't,
(45:23):
he said, he started talking more smack and uh and
he said, and I'm I walked up to him. I said,
I'm going to say this one more time. I'm already
in prison. And he continued. So I said, I'm going
to rip your head off.
Speaker 3 (45:34):
And oh no, okay, remember that one do something down
his neck? Yeah? That what Todd told him I sketch.
At one point he started talking about Savannah. Oh you
don't do that. Oh my god. So uh clearly you
know he got he got the lifting weights in there,
they said, was are throwing weights around? Right?
Speaker 4 (45:52):
Said he could take you was working out, got some tats, so.
Speaker 8 (45:57):
So got him a tear drop.
Speaker 3 (46:02):
He came out.
Speaker 4 (46:02):
And I look and I said, my goodness, boy, I'll
tell you one thing if you if you're going there again, Todd,
he got rough, didn't Todd?
Speaker 3 (46:09):
I mean prison life, hard, prison life. So so he is.
Speaker 4 (46:15):
He said that's the only problem he had in there.
You know how tough it can be in a white
collar prison. Yeah, got but apparently him the college.
Speaker 3 (46:23):
Going up again? Got got you.
Speaker 4 (46:25):
But now I never watched the I would have paid
to watch that, are you. So what's the status of
the Chrystalies.
Speaker 3 (46:30):
Are they now their pardon? Uh yeah, they're out right.
Speaker 4 (46:33):
So they now Trump pardoning them was kind of odd,
but it was. But are they now? Are they going
to do a show again?
Speaker 3 (46:43):
Oh? Yeah, And to me, they may get me in now.
And you know her podcast blew up with them on there. Yeah,
want to know how about in the new one though? Now,
he walks around the house all tough, you know, because
he's in prison, he's a little bit. Yeah. Yeah, that
is the minimum security prison, which we're using prison lightly. Yeah,
(47:08):
when you list their crimes, those two you know.
Speaker 9 (47:11):
Yeah, he mentioned that the worst thing about the prisons
is the dementas.
Speaker 3 (47:15):
You're crazy. What if what if Christy come out looking
like jelly row?
Speaker 4 (47:25):
Yeah, somebody said, no, you really use a lot more
like prison Mike from the Office.
Speaker 3 (47:30):
When I was quoting, there's no way, no way that
Speedy could watch that office.
Speaker 8 (47:37):
Prison Mike is one of the great.
Speaker 3 (47:38):
But I've watched a lot of those episodes. I hadn't
seen that one. You'd have a hard time with it now,
I know.
Speaker 4 (47:44):
The one they got you the most was when he
promised everybody that pay for the college tuition.
Speaker 3 (47:48):
Yeah, and then that's yeah, they're all sitting in that
class that was voting. That's awful.
Speaker 4 (47:53):
That one was voted as the most cringe worthy episode
ever on The Office.
Speaker 3 (47:56):
Terrible. I mean, I know they're acting rhy am I
having a hard time with it? Right? I mean somebody
said and action right right, right, It didn't really happened.
He read, why am I uncomfortable, right, he really didn't
promise college tuition to any real people. No, And I
had that conversation with myself, you know, probably not out loud,
(48:16):
but I'm like, why has this bothered me? Just watch it.
It's not like it's an award show where somebody's up
on stage bombing or and you know that's real.
Speaker 4 (48:24):
This is acting. You know, I was asking people. I
actually was talking to my son and his wife this
past weekend and we were trying to decide, is there
a current sitcom current that runs currently on any of
the major networks. Okay, that is funny because you know,
I haven't watched the network television, and I was I
(48:47):
was told that that one of the things that that
is a little bit clever and a little bit not afraid,
Like the office was not afraid. Parking Reck was not afraid,
you know, Seinfeld was not afraid. That abbot elementary never
saying and there's one about remember I dabbled in it
(49:09):
and then I went away from medical in the hospital
when that was funny that yeah, that had that's that
that's pretty funny. But I just don't think we can
get the kind of boldness comedically that we got from
these great sitcoms now, I don't think I think they
have to stop.
Speaker 3 (49:29):
Uh in areas that are just too I don't know.
His Modern Family is still running. Yeah, that's right. I
get to laugh. Are you going to show speedy prison?
Speaker 8 (49:43):
Mind much? There's so much.
Speaker 3 (49:47):
Without the I've getting compromised.
Speaker 8 (49:50):
It's I think, so just real quick.
Speaker 3 (49:54):
Uh.
Speaker 9 (49:54):
He's talking about how bad things are in prison, how
you got to find yourself a friend when you get
to prison?
Speaker 8 (49:59):
Any points to the.
Speaker 9 (50:01):
The stafford dude, I forgot his name that he always
thinks it's attractive in a weird way.
Speaker 4 (50:06):
But yeah, oh and you you, my friend would be
the belle of du ball.
Speaker 8 (50:13):
Don't drop the soap.
Speaker 3 (50:15):
What is he is?
Speaker 5 (50:17):
It?
Speaker 3 (50:17):
Is it one of his team buildings? Yeah?
Speaker 4 (50:21):
Okay, And of course Jim is always hoping. I hope
it's prison mine, you know, the belle of the ball.
Speaker 3 (50:31):
All right.
Speaker 4 (50:31):
People are saying ghosts is pretty funny, and that's one
that was brought up to I've never seen it.
Speaker 3 (50:36):
You ain't the more ghost talking? Yeah, so, I don't know.
We'll be back. More of the Rick Burgess Show coming
up running for.
Speaker 1 (50:43):
This This is the Rick Burgess Show in a world
that has gone nuts. They are here too well to
(51:07):
point it out. The Rick Burgess Show.
Speaker 4 (51:11):
Thank you for being with US America. We'll give you
a chance to chat. We'll talk to you coming up
unscreenedphone calls. Probably maybe get that in this hour, we'll see,
but definitely today on the show. Also, I got all
have some hay birds. Hay birds I'll share with you
right now. But let me hit a few things for you. Okay,
(51:32):
let's go to Shopmando dot com. I've made the complete
switch to the Mando products, and they are correct. They
are designed for men, superior to anything that I've used
so far, especially if you want to try to get
away from some of these things full of aluminum and
things like that. They're illuminum free. They're designed for men.
(51:54):
Men and women are equal, certainly equal in value, but
beautifully distinct. And one of the things that, as we
talk about, you can't use products designed for women when
you're dealing with men because of that truth. No matter
what the world says, it is a truth. How about
pH optimize capable of blocking odors before they even start
(52:17):
seventy two hour protection. I'm this good news, re Boyd,
really good news. Powered by Mandelic Acid Shopmando dot com.
Use our code big Vox at checkout, twenty percent off
and yes, free shipping.
Speaker 3 (52:36):
That's right.
Speaker 4 (52:37):
If you don't like it, they'll refund it within sixty days.
Smell better longer, fellas, Let's stop the stink and twenty
percent off site wide with a code big Vox Shopmando
dot com and free shipping too. Also go to Rick
burgesshow dot com if you'd like look under sponsors and
(52:58):
there it is so cold. Look see they come on
as I mentioned, uh do have some some hay birds here,
Hey birds, Hey birds. This comes from Reese. Uh, he says, hey.
Speaker 8 (53:21):
Uh.
Speaker 4 (53:22):
Given the love of the show, uh and uh and
the love that you guys have given Lenyard Skynyard over
the years, I thought of a skinnered song for each
member of the show.
Speaker 3 (53:33):
Okay, well, well, well.
Speaker 4 (53:36):
Well go ahead, I'm here, he got would yall?
Speaker 3 (53:41):
Are y'all kind of dreading this a little bit? Yeah?
Speaker 4 (53:43):
Uh so uh let's see what. Let's see what our
friend Reese has to say. Greg looks like you're gonna
fare Okay, I know a little because he's always right again.
There you go, I know about speedy, You're gonna be
fine here speedy Mississippi kid for his roots to Mississippi
(54:07):
deep Cut.
Speaker 3 (54:08):
You're okay, it's okay to you. Don't have to comment negatively.
Nobody's ever heard of it. I mean you do not
just squint uh, Adler, simple man, no little man.
Speaker 4 (54:21):
He went with the skinnered song. That's smell okay.
Speaker 6 (54:24):
Oh wow?
Speaker 3 (54:25):
Sorry?
Speaker 4 (54:27):
His reason, his reasoning on that, because well, just look
at him.
Speaker 8 (54:33):
What's that song about? Do you guys know?
Speaker 4 (54:35):
Yes, we do, yes, But it's that I think he
means it. He don't mean what it's about about you.
Speaker 3 (54:40):
He doesn't.
Speaker 4 (54:41):
He does not mean that he sadly draggon and drugs.
He's trying to use it to question your hygiene. Okay, Yeah,
of course he didn't know that was what he probably
sent this before you start using mando. Yeah, uh huh, Rick,
yours would be Freebird because uh it is the most
requested uh. And of course at Rick is always at
(55:02):
his best when he's loud and riffing off the cuff.
Speaker 3 (55:05):
So there we go.
Speaker 4 (55:07):
So everybody gets their Skinnered song. I think, well, why
does it say it's from Reese? And then at the
end of this it says love the show John. Okay,
well do you get there?
Speaker 3 (55:17):
Anybody there? You go again? Probably the name is how
sign it at the bottom?
Speaker 4 (55:21):
All right, Hey Brge, Hey birch a Burge. This is
from Angie and I'm gonna send any myth of guys.
Speaker 3 (55:33):
I live in jessep Georgia.
Speaker 4 (55:35):
I have to say I'm pretty disappointed, Yes, that Speedy
didn't go out of his way. I mean, we're only
talking about a three hour detour to make the pilgrimage
to his father's homeland. I think this needs to be
the next adventure. We are home to one of the
only how about this, one of the only two drive
(55:56):
in theaters left in the entire state of Georgia. How
in the worlds could you miss out on popcorn under
the stars in your dad's homeland?
Speaker 3 (56:04):
Yeah, what are you thinking?
Speaker 4 (56:06):
For Speedy's dad, I have included the picture of the
sign that he wanted Speedy to tell.
Speaker 3 (56:10):
Yeah. I saw that. That's nice. So you have this, Yeah,
I replied to him. I was copied on it, and no,
I just you know, it's it's you got to realize though.
On the front end, I'm trying to get to Larry's
and then on the back end. I mean I got
to get back, you know, things talking about.
Speaker 4 (56:31):
Yeah, it just didn't work out. Hey, bird, Hey birds,
this is for speedy. Also, please watch the movie Straw
by Tyler Perry.
Speaker 14 (56:39):
I have have you?
Speaker 4 (56:40):
Yes, he says, you were talking about the episode of
the office being cringey to you. You couldn't believe it
it was really happening. You had to be reminded it
wasn't real. This movie's emotional cringe and still the best
movie I've ever watched.
Speaker 3 (56:52):
What that's a little much? How did you like it?
That was good? The ending? You don't say that coming.
Speaker 8 (56:59):
You watched Straw? You watch Tyler Perry's Straw?
Speaker 3 (57:02):
Yeah? Why?
Speaker 4 (57:03):
I just looking for something to watch and I clicked
on it and the previews looked okay, and me and
Lisa said, let's just watch.
Speaker 3 (57:09):
Yes, it was good and it was good.
Speaker 8 (57:12):
What are you gonna watch? How Stella Got Her Groove back?
Speaker 6 (57:14):
Next?
Speaker 14 (57:15):
Good?
Speaker 8 (57:17):
One of those Oh it's not one of.
Speaker 3 (57:18):
Those should we not be? Is it serious? It's not media?
Is it serious? Should we not be? It's serious? Is
is it a good movie?
Speaker 6 (57:26):
Greg?
Speaker 4 (57:26):
Yeah, it's a good movie. Hey it's rough. It is rough, bad,
my bad? Hey, maybe it's the greatest movie. But that
person said the best movie they've ever seen that. Maybe
they haven't seen many movies. Maybe it's a young person.
Speaker 3 (57:39):
Yeah, I wish you would record y'all trying to decide
what to watch. I wish you would that, because you
I'll bring stuff up and you're like, oh, yeah, we've
seen that. Oh yeah, we've seen that.
Speaker 5 (57:49):
You know.
Speaker 4 (57:50):
I would love to for you to the process anyone.
Hey Bird, Hey Bird, I love the Strange Encounters podcast.
I'm learning and understanding more of our authority of Christ,
of the authority of Christ. In this we have nothing
to fear from the enemy. But at all Caps. Now,
when I get up and go to the bathroom a
couple of times during the night, I think of the
creepy floating head with the teeth. I can't help but
(58:11):
turn the bathroom wats on. I guess we're all a
work in progress. I loved the old show, and I
love All Caps the new show. Very thankful, Amy, Well, Amy,
I understand. I mean, we're learning on this podcast, but
she's talking about those who don't know. It was the
last episode Floating Head with teeth and uh so it was.
Speaker 3 (58:34):
It was a you know.
Speaker 4 (58:35):
It was a rough story, but but it was important
and educational and we learned a lot about spiritual warfare.
Speaker 3 (58:43):
So Amy, thank you for that.
Speaker 4 (58:45):
Six episodes on Strange Encounters available wherever you get podcasts,
So there you go.
Speaker 3 (58:50):
Didn't know Greg saw the movie, Straw.
Speaker 4 (58:52):
I think that might have been the biggest takeaway from
this entire neighbor Straw.
Speaker 3 (58:55):
I didn't know. I just you watching the Tyler Perry movie.
I just didn't know. No, is this good? Okay, we'll
be right back.
Speaker 8 (59:03):
He got game, You're gonna watch. He got games.
Speaker 1 (59:05):
He is the Rick Burgess Show. He has known Greg
Burgess for his entire life of set Rick Burgess.
Speaker 4 (59:31):
Thank you America for spending time with us today. We're
having a blast, as is the norm. And uh I
hope you are Chip all right, So giving you updated
as we kind of moved through our stuff today too.
Looks like another possible win for the Trump administration in
the Middle East. Trump is Trump announced Israel has agreed
(59:55):
to a sixty day Gaza ceasefire. Says he hopes Haman
takes the deal for the good of the Middle East.
So we'll see. But sixty days cease fire now in Gaza.
If Hamas will also agree to it, that's a pretty
big if. But but he is saying he's got Israel
(01:00:16):
ready to agree to it. If Hamas will also, we
will see. So that's another update for you going on today.
I will I know, speedy, this is one of your favorites.
So on the on the term of doing a little
bit better, which, by the way, I've had somebody send
(01:00:37):
me a little bit Better song that I'm kind of
toying with really pretty pretty, pretty funny, but I'm I'm
looking at it.
Speaker 3 (01:00:46):
We'll see, all right, So.
Speaker 4 (01:00:51):
Yesterday, what what's been happening in in my world with
with sherrying me and trying to do a little bit better?
And you know, Sherry likes to run, she likes to ride,
you know, her her bike, all those things. But you know,
there are some times, and I've been reporting about these,
that we will actually do a workout together. Okay, now
(01:01:13):
there's been it's been a while since that happened. And
that's kind of good and bad because if she does
her own thing, a lot of times it has to
do with based on her schedule. I don't want to
have to wait around till you can work out, I'd
like to go ahead and do something what's better for
my schedule, which is perfectly fine, or you know, she
(01:01:35):
may have something she needs to do and whatever. So
I've gone a number of workouts involving trainer Sean that
she's not there. Now that's good and bad. The good
is I don't have now a co trainer that's working
with Sean some for some reason against me, a rep counter. Yeah,
but I also have Sean's complete attention. So it's kind
(01:01:59):
of you know, it's it's a rough it's it's tough,
and you like to distract. Yeah, you're trading one for another.
Speaker 3 (01:02:05):
Yeah.
Speaker 10 (01:02:06):
Well, she.
Speaker 4 (01:02:09):
She returned yesterday. I mean I got the text with
Sean on it. Hey, I'm in on the workout today.
Oh boy, And I thought.
Speaker 3 (01:02:19):
Good and bad.
Speaker 4 (01:02:20):
Maybe maybe she'll come in and should be too concerned,
you know, because she can be a weapon against the
trainer because you know, she's female, which means at times
she can be chatty okay, which gets break gets his attention.
Speaker 5 (01:02:35):
Uh.
Speaker 4 (01:02:35):
But then there she can be a weapon against me
because she, as you mentioned out, she'll doubt my reps,
she'll question my form, you know, sometimes during during the.
Speaker 3 (01:02:47):
Workouts, which so it's not going all the way down. Yeah,
and uh, you know it's uh, that's not twelve. There's
no way that was twelve. Baby. Maybe I just can
do the exercise quicker than you can twelve fifty eight squeeney,
All right, yeah, I'm done.
Speaker 4 (01:03:00):
That's not twelve. I don't there's no way he did twelve.
And then, of course I hate when Shawn goes, oh
yeah I was. You know, I wouldn't count because I
was trying to help.
Speaker 3 (01:03:09):
You with what and and so, but so it uh
you know.
Speaker 4 (01:03:14):
And also I'm the master of angles, master of angles.
You remember one of my greatest triumphs when I was
playing a little ball. Have I ever I don't know
if I have even mentioned that, but I.
Speaker 3 (01:03:26):
Played a little ball and talking about football, yeah, oh yeah.
Speaker 4 (01:03:30):
And so you know, I was playing a little college
ball there at Troy, and I remember the first time
that we entered into what they called winter workout.
Speaker 10 (01:03:43):
Uh.
Speaker 4 (01:03:43):
And if you've never heard this story, I was, you know, freshmen,
I'd gone through the horrors of August, I'd gone through
an entire season. Uh, and now they were talking about
we still work out in the winter. I wasn't fond
of discovering that. I thought that would be a time
for us to have a break. It was year round,
(01:04:05):
you know, and even worse now than it was then.
And I noticed the veterans didn't seem thrilled with the
winter workouts. And I kept thinking, well, how can winter
be worse than August? How can winter be worse than
what we've been through? Isn't this just kind of more
of a And they were like, oh, no, there's not.
When we go to the mat room, and I was like, well,
what is the mat room? And they said, it's thirty
(01:04:27):
minutes of absolute horror and terror. And I thought, thirty minutes?
How long can thirty minutes be? I mean, what are
y'all talking about? In August we practiced for like two
hours twice a day. How can this even be in
the same league? And they're like, because you don't stop
for thirty minutes? I said, what do you mean? You
don't stop? And so I didn't understand it. But it
was underneath the gym down in a what I would
(01:04:50):
call a glorified dungeon. There were no windows. They were
the cinder block, you know, holding.
Speaker 3 (01:04:56):
Up the building, you know, legs, no air circulation at all,
and so they would they lay out various mats, boxes, ropes,
and you know it, sh it looks like a place
you would go to torture people.
Speaker 4 (01:05:09):
And so it's not big enough for the entire team
to go in at the same time. So they put
in the skill guys, which I always took offense to
that if you played offensive defensive line, they called the
other people's skill position. You don't think what we do
is skill. Nope, does not require skill. Try as build
it does require skill, but just yeah, fast. So your
(01:05:31):
your basic quarterbacks, your basic receivers, your defensive backs, the
running backs, they all had their time, and then all
of the interior linemen offense and defense, we had our time.
And so we were outside the matt room my first
time ever, and I'm like watching the skilled guys come out,
(01:05:53):
and I remember I focused on a guy who had
served our country with the Marines. Uh, and he now
was you know, they pay for your college after your service,
so he's now playing for us. He's in incredible shape,
you know, in free safety college level. You can see
him right, oh yeah, And I watched him come up
the steps from the dungeon, and he looked, Okay, I
(01:06:15):
saw it was kind of you know, and uh. And
then all of a sudden he walked over and vomited.
Speaker 3 (01:06:21):
Uh, and I said, it's what tell me he's got
a virus.
Speaker 4 (01:06:29):
Okay, And and the guys all the other and you look,
and now all the all the linemen they just start looking.
They've lost all their color. They don't have any color
because they know where next. Well, I know I'm not,
I know, I'm not. I'm gonna I can't do. This
is gonna be horrible. So we get in there and
we get started. And yes, it is true that it
was thirty minutes, none stop, but there's still was just
(01:06:51):
this these few precious seconds because you have you can't
everybody can't go at the same time. There's too many people,
meaning like Greg Speedy Adler. Picture us all.
Speaker 3 (01:07:02):
In a line.
Speaker 4 (01:07:03):
Now that line's moving quick. But you do finish, you
do and go to the back of the line. Who
you come again. So there's just a few precious seconds,
and they're precious. So one time I moved to the
back of one of the horrifying lines. They'reing some sort
of rolling around NonStop. Move your feet drill, and I
(01:07:24):
noticed that these cement legs that are holding up the building,
they're big enough for somebody to stand behind and nobody
can see you, okay, And so I noticed one was
conveniently accessible, and so I came around one time and
(01:07:46):
I went over and stood behind that to get me
a few more rounds of rest. And the coaches and
the strength and condition people they couldn't see me. My
teammates could see me, and you could see that they
wanted to tell on me. But then there was a
moment where they thought, this is genius. I'm so glad
this guy joined our team. I'm so glad we recruited him,
and for no other reason this and they wanted to
(01:08:09):
wrap me out. But then at one point they thought,
it's my turn.
Speaker 7 (01:08:14):
There.
Speaker 4 (01:08:16):
Burgen's got something going. So that's how I like to
do working out.
Speaker 17 (01:08:21):
I like to.
Speaker 3 (01:08:22):
I like to I like to push myself, but on
my terms and if I if I need.
Speaker 10 (01:08:29):
And so.
Speaker 4 (01:08:31):
So what I don't like is somebody who's who's decided
to be my accountability person. I have a trainer. That's
all the accountability we need.
Speaker 3 (01:08:39):
I don't do. There's no need you. We don't need you. Chiming.
Speaker 4 (01:08:42):
See Sherry would have point over. I said, he's standing
behind the cement thing. And you see that's not a teammate, okay.
And so we were doing a particular drill yesterday and
I was using my angles again and I backed up
to where Sherry and she's not all that big, so
you really have to He can't see how far down
I'm going on a certain exercise because I've got Cherry.
(01:09:05):
And I blocked him a little bit. And then Sherry says,
he's moving back so you can't see him.
Speaker 3 (01:09:10):
She knew what you were doing. And I said, Cherry, she.
Speaker 8 (01:09:13):
Said, so you can't see him?
Speaker 4 (01:09:15):
Yes, oh my wow about And of course trainder Shane says, hey,
rick Bird, move up so I can see you.
Speaker 3 (01:09:22):
So he believes her because he knows well it was
actually true.
Speaker 4 (01:09:25):
But but I mean, that's the sad part. She's telling
things that are actually true. But I thought we I
thought it was I thought we had a bond. Yeah,
there's no way that was twelve. I'm like, maybe I
just do it quicker than you.
Speaker 3 (01:09:38):
You can't do it that quick.
Speaker 4 (01:09:39):
You got you do rag on And then of course
you know what that does. You know what that does
you I got my prison, might do rag on?
Speaker 3 (01:09:44):
You know what happens?
Speaker 4 (01:09:45):
Then Sean moves around to the side of the room
and he's over on my side, and I's counting my rips,
child mighty.
Speaker 3 (01:09:52):
For your own good Rick. Yeah, I guess.
Speaker 4 (01:09:56):
Everybody's gonna think that when I dropped dead in the workout,
when if I'd have got my I would have made it.
Speaker 3 (01:10:02):
We'll be right back here to stay class.
Speaker 1 (01:10:05):
This is the Rick Burgess Show. He was told good
luck finding a job that would pay him.
Speaker 4 (01:10:26):
To be the class cloud. Rick Burgess, all righty, thank
you for being with us. Okay, thanks guys. So I'm
not sure who. I can't see it from here, I
(01:10:46):
have to go over and look in the break if
we can find it. So somewhere on Taxtonation sent the
nineteen eight nine right there, the nineteen eighty two back
in eighty two, and they're they're making their rubbing my
nose in it. It's the list of the nineteen eighty
two All State football team.
Speaker 16 (01:11:05):
Uh.
Speaker 4 (01:11:05):
And they're saying, just so you know, I was on
this team with Rick. And notice I'm listed as skilled athlete.
Rick is listed as T for tackle. So thanks man,
appreciate that. The uh, but I'm trying.
Speaker 3 (01:11:21):
I can't see the name.
Speaker 6 (01:11:22):
Uh.
Speaker 3 (01:11:24):
If I click on it, it gets smaller.
Speaker 4 (01:11:26):
Yeah, let's like you played for John Carrol maybe so anyway,
but well, thank you for making sure that that was sent.
Uh and remind me once again tea for tackle.
Speaker 16 (01:11:36):
Uh.
Speaker 3 (01:11:36):
It requires no skill to play tackle.
Speaker 4 (01:11:38):
But anyway, let's look at speaking of sports, and I
use this term loosely, the w NBA speedy educate me
on halftime act.
Speaker 3 (01:11:50):
Red Panda, Oh, Red Panda is this uh on this
famous just really tall unicycle and she juggles, play bow bowls,
all kinds of stuff. And she came to Tuscaloos a
few years ago and we did really yeah, yeah, we've
done some stuff and we're like, wow, how does she
catch all that on her head?
Speaker 9 (01:12:08):
Here she is successfully doing her little She's got she
stacked on her foot. She's on a unicycle, a bowl
on her foot, and those bulls are stacked four high, okay,
and she's gonna then flip them up into her own
into her own onto her own head that already has
like a dozen bulls on there.
Speaker 3 (01:12:26):
That's right, yeah, yeah, that is me. That's I don't
know how that I get.
Speaker 17 (01:12:33):
I get.
Speaker 3 (01:12:33):
I'm a nervous wreck watching stuff like that.
Speaker 8 (01:12:37):
She's fifty five in this video.
Speaker 3 (01:12:39):
That's that's really kind of crazy. She busted that rump. Yes,
well that's we want to say. The headline does not
say Red Red Panda busted that wrong. Yeah, what it says.
I have seen footage of her kind of going down,
but she's always able to land on her feet, you
know what I mean, Like she falls, but she lands
on her feet. This one for the w n B.
(01:13:00):
A Uh, this was the best ship game, right, so
I think Something Cup. It's not the championship. I'm for
the Something Cup. You don't think the All Star Games
coming up? How's that the championship? I've just heard they
won something. We don't know what we're talking anyway, she
was just doing something for the w n B.
Speaker 9 (01:13:19):
A Hey, the game was played yesterday. The w n
B A championship winner is the Indiana.
Speaker 3 (01:13:24):
Fever Championship winner. Is that the end? It's not the
end of the season. Is it the first half? Do
they do it in halves or something? I don't understand.
I don't know. I just want to say, don't really care.
I thought we were just watching this.
Speaker 9 (01:13:39):
This season continues with the All Star Game and then
that you had the story the playoffs in September and
the finals in October. So I don't know what the
w n b A Championship is. Weird, but it's the
Commissioner's Cup.
Speaker 3 (01:13:53):
Yeah, the red pen. They said, hey, we got to
get Red Pender.
Speaker 4 (01:13:58):
This is a big game, big and Greg, apparently you
were right again.
Speaker 3 (01:14:03):
Oh it was some kind of cup.
Speaker 4 (01:14:04):
Okay, yeah, championship, it was some kind of cup. Beloved
halftime performer Red Panda injured during w n b A
Commissioner's Cup final.
Speaker 3 (01:14:17):
Yeah it's end season tournament, yes, yes it is. Yeah.
Speaker 10 (01:14:21):
Yeah.
Speaker 3 (01:14:22):
So and so she falls and and instead of like
landing on her feet, and even though she fell, she
being okay, it looks like she landed on her bottom
and she tried to tell she when she fell, she
tried to catch herself with her hands and either that
messed up her wrist pretty bad. So gress headline stands red, Yeah,
(01:14:45):
yeah it is. Here's just riding seven les. Pretty impressive. Yeah,
she needs a ladder to get on it, and then
she starts throwing bows and parks. We got it, very
impressed act very impressive.
Speaker 8 (01:14:56):
Here's it's got the it's got the audio of her act. Music?
Speaker 3 (01:15:01):
Is that okay? I think? So he's drums here, she's
she's and it's gonna cut.
Speaker 8 (01:15:06):
So you don't see her hit the ground, but you're
gonna see her disappear.
Speaker 3 (01:15:09):
Yeah, you know, and and and and so she lands.
She lands at left that left wrist. Now she's not
even throwing up plates or bowls at this time, so
it's like it's was there something on the court that
maybe stopped the wheel, because it looks like she just
went forward.
Speaker 4 (01:15:25):
A good thing she didn't, or them all them bowls
would have fell on her. W w NBA's even ruined
the red palmine.
Speaker 3 (01:15:31):
But let's watch again how she falls and then maybe
you can walk it out here, right, she's trying.
Speaker 4 (01:15:37):
She just own the unicycle, like they said, getting ready,
and something happens that makes her go forward, and you're right,
I wonder since I can't see the unicycle, I just
see her face going.
Speaker 3 (01:15:48):
WHOA, what was that's disappointing.
Speaker 4 (01:15:50):
I mean, if I can throw plates and bowls on
my head and I can't even just ride the unicidle.
Speaker 8 (01:15:54):
She warmed up or something.
Speaker 3 (01:15:56):
Yeah, I'm calling up struction. Yeah, something something happened. So
this is here. So now we got to turn the
lights on by the bus kill. They're giving her some applause. Yeah,
And now she's down. Her left wrist is like she
broke her wrist. And then there's the unicycle just laying
on the court. I wonder if she still gets paid, Greg,
that's the first thing you went to. She does you
(01:16:18):
can tell she didn't.
Speaker 4 (01:16:19):
She didn't complete what she was paid for. That's what
I'm telling.
Speaker 3 (01:16:22):
She's going down again. She's you know what it is.
She's getting nauseated. You have got your broken bone? Yeah,
I've had that. Is that wrong?
Speaker 8 (01:16:30):
Nauseated?
Speaker 3 (01:16:30):
You don't hang on every freaking thing. That's okay, everybody,
the audience.
Speaker 8 (01:16:38):
I didn't say it like that.
Speaker 3 (01:16:40):
Now you got me like special again. I didn't say that.
I didn't say it like that. You it was closed. Listen.
Speaker 4 (01:16:53):
We are very thankful for you. Yeah, I wasn't thankful
that that didn't happen. You're such a Look at the
red bend red panda.
Speaker 3 (01:17:00):
Look at her.
Speaker 8 (01:17:01):
She's fifty five and she is still rocking it.
Speaker 3 (01:17:04):
But wild.
Speaker 8 (01:17:04):
She went down hard.
Speaker 3 (01:17:05):
But Greg, I have to agree with you.
Speaker 4 (01:17:06):
I mean, this is we don't want to be insensitive,
because you'll know that's not our nature. But but I
was expecting to see her fall in something extremely complecent.
I mean, she's throwing stuff on her head and landing.
And I don't even just ride in the unicon. I
know it's difficult to ride a seven foot it got that.
She obviously has mastered it. But but she the way
she throws bowls around. I thought, well, she got hurt
doing something like that.
Speaker 3 (01:17:27):
Yeah. Hey, do you think her left wrist when she
fell hit hit the unicycle or was it court? But
look at the seat of the unicycle, right, But you
know how you put your arm. It's it's interesting. A
lot of people break the wrists, break their arms. Oh
of course they did theirselves. Yeah, but but I'm just
saying it looked like I couldn't tell with the seat
that right there.
Speaker 8 (01:17:47):
Hey, can you all ride her unicycle?
Speaker 9 (01:17:50):
No?
Speaker 3 (01:17:51):
Greg did for a while. I wasn't very good.
Speaker 8 (01:17:53):
I can't do.
Speaker 3 (01:17:54):
Yeah, when I do, I get nauserated. Yeah, by the
way I did say it, there was no There's no
r in what I said. There was no arm. Boom,
down goes the pantage see.
Speaker 4 (01:18:08):
Yeah, that left wrist. I'm calling obstruction. I think somebody
left something on the court.
Speaker 3 (01:18:13):
Yeah. The red Panda does just fall like no or
either somebody from the stands. Yeah, she hit that left wrist.
Speaker 8 (01:18:19):
Yeah, I'm trying to see it looks like her.
Speaker 9 (01:18:22):
See how you you know, when you're falling down on
your straight on your butt, you put your hands straight down.
Speaker 8 (01:18:26):
Yeah, and it looks like she put her on trands
straight down.
Speaker 3 (01:18:29):
And it's instinct the boy to break up. Yeah.
Speaker 4 (01:18:34):
Top of the hour, Red Panda Andrew just show y'all
know you got nauseator too.
Speaker 3 (01:18:41):
That'll happened. That gott it right? You got it right.
Speaker 8 (01:18:46):
We don't see everything right, We'll be back.
Speaker 1 (01:18:49):
This is the Rick Burgess Show.
Speaker 15 (01:19:01):
John, It's time for the Rickers broadcasting from the real world.
Speaker 3 (01:19:18):
Let's go America brand new.
Speaker 4 (01:19:22):
I were thank you for being here. As you heard,
the gang is all here. Much more to do going
forward today, including unscreened phone calls.
Speaker 3 (01:19:30):
We'll get to some of that. Also the stories of
the day, keeping it real now, pushing back on the
fake world. Broadcasting from the real world.
Speaker 4 (01:19:45):
All right, So I do want to take a moment
to share a lot of you have been. You might
remember us talking about this. If you were with us
back during the three decades of the Rick and Bubba Show,
you probably have remember multiple stories at times he was
even here on the show, a very very very close
(01:20:08):
friend Jordie Henson. A lot of you have been periodically saying, hey,
do you have an update on Jordie Henson, who unfortunately
was diagnosed with a l S and has been battling that.
Speaker 6 (01:20:23):
Uh.
Speaker 4 (01:20:23):
And I'm only saying this because his family publicly posted yesterday,
and so I wouldn't do that without their permission, but
they they did, and and just the update is that
he is he's in his final days and hours. So
of course that's the Lord's decision when when that is
(01:20:44):
finally the time, But we're talking any moment. So so
I just wanted you to know that they have posted
that publicly. A lot of you who have been asking
about that, and so, you know, one of the things
that you know when you start pondering, you know, anytime
someone is about to end their earthly life and step
(01:21:05):
into eternity, it's it's a time for incredible reflection. Of course,
here's what we can say about Jordie Henson is that
this is a man that will absolutely step into the
presence of his Lord and savior that he served. So so,
I mean we always talked about Jordie's passion. I mean
(01:21:26):
you talk about he was a you talk about a
battler and a fighter and for the kingdom, and so
he was faithful. He will get a well done, good
and faithful servant. But I started thinking about you know,
when you when you have people that are redeemed, so
we know what their eternity will be. I mean, we
don't know every detail of it, but we know it
(01:21:49):
is going to be perfection, ultimate healing and all that
goes with that, you know, being freed from the bonds
of broken bodies, you know, living on a broken planet.
But I started thinking about this dynamic. I don't know,
it just it's just been sitting around and thinking about
that is when someone is dying like this in such
(01:22:12):
a difficult way, you know, als is horribly cruel, as
too many of you know firsthand. And and you're of
course you have you have pity for the person who's
who's suffering. You have pity for their family obviously and
all they're going through, and and uh, and I was
just thinking, you know, whenever this happens over the next
(01:22:34):
you know, a few days, is it's going to go
from let's just break it down to our friendship Jeordie
and me. Of course he has credible family, so many friends,
but I'm just going to break it down to this.
So it's going to go for me spending time in
the times that we've spent with him and the family,
(01:22:57):
me pitying him. And as soon as the Lord decides
for ultimate healing and he steps into the presence of perfection,
he will then pity me.
Speaker 3 (01:23:10):
It'll shift that quick.
Speaker 4 (01:23:12):
And uh and and it's just really it's hopeful for
for you know, that's that's that peace that Jesus talks
about in John sixteen thirty three when he says, you know,
I say this so you'll have peace. I remember, Greg,
Dad would continue to read that yeah, verse over and over.
I mentioned that, uh, And I remember thinking Dad is
seeing it because he's reading it, but he's it is
(01:23:33):
interesting that he keeps reading this verse two when you
know he was getting to the end of his days.
And Jesus said, I say this so you'll have peace.
And if we're honest, if we're if we're completely honest.
We say that we're after all these other things, but
at the end of it all, when it's just you
and yourself in a quiet place, what every one of
(01:23:57):
us truly are seeking is peace. We want to know
that everything's going to be all right. Ultimately, that's everybody.
All these other goals, you know, they're earthly goals and
there's some value to them, but they range crazy. But
the one thing I think we all have in common,
every one of us, is that goal. So Jesus says,
I say this so that you'll have peace. To me,
(01:24:20):
that's that's a big statement. You kind of want to
hear what he says next. Well, the next thing he
says is very interesting, kind of flies in the face
of all the health, wealth and prosperity gospel garbage. He says,
I in this world you will face tribulation. You will
not you might, you will Anybody won't say a meen
to that. Of all of us have been You're either
(01:24:41):
you've either been through it, you're in it right now,
or let me just give your heads up. It's coming
okay on all different levels, he says. But I say
this so you'll have peace in this world. You will
face tribulation. But when you do, if you're redeemed, if
you've been redemed by Jesus, when you're in it, just
like a moment right now. For the Hnson family, let
(01:25:02):
me tell you what they're clinging to what Jesus Christ
did on the cross. Because of what he did on
the cross, defeating sin, what sin leads to death, even
eternal death. They now know that Jesus has defeated eternal
death for their loved one and us for our friend.
(01:25:23):
And we know that he paid the price that all
of us have to pay that was due.
Speaker 3 (01:25:29):
He paid it.
Speaker 4 (01:25:30):
And then when he walked out of that tomb, he said,
I also can give you eternal life. I defeated sin
and I defeated death. And then Jesus says, since you
know I did that, and if you're one who is
redeemed by it, you always keep joy in your heart.
You always have that peace because I've overcome the world.
Speaker 3 (01:25:49):
I really have.
Speaker 4 (01:25:50):
So Jesus has overcome earthly death. Now, if you don't
have that right in your life, then you don't have
that peace. But those that had it right and have
it right, and Jordie Henson certainly has it right then
he and his family clean to that piece, not because
(01:26:13):
it's a crutch, but because it's the truth. And I
just started thinking about whenever the Lord decides that this
earthly life is going to end, and it could be
any minute now, he will go from pity, He'll go
to pitying us as that we all now pity him.
Speaker 3 (01:26:30):
And that's the hope that is available to all of us.
And it's the hope that you clean to.
Speaker 4 (01:26:36):
And then you know, als is a horrible thing, and
that's part of you know, like I said, the results
of sin.
Speaker 3 (01:26:44):
Broken bodies that are all of us are.
Speaker 4 (01:26:46):
Dying, not not just Jordie Henson and others who are
sick right now, we're all dying at different rates.
Speaker 2 (01:26:52):
Uh.
Speaker 3 (01:26:52):
And that's because of sin.
Speaker 11 (01:26:54):
Uh.
Speaker 4 (01:26:55):
And and the earth is broken because of sin. But
it's all going to be redeem and for those that
leave this earth before it's all redeemed in a moment,
they're gonna step into that perfection that's available to them now,
and that is ultimate healing. So you know, as Paul
talked about in One Corinthians fifteen old death wears your sting,
(01:27:18):
Jordie Henson is about to go to a point where
we'll be laughing at als because it has ultimately been
defeated by the victory in Christ.
Speaker 3 (01:27:28):
So just be praying for their.
Speaker 4 (01:27:30):
Family and like I say, in these final days or
you know, hours, or whatever the Lord determines, but just
remember them.
Speaker 3 (01:27:42):
Even though I know them very well and I've watched out,
they lived this out. They know the truth. So we'll
be back. More of the Rick Burgess Show coming out
right after this.
Speaker 1 (01:28:00):

of people that are at the end of life or
their life has ended, have you seen the Detroit Man.
This is the fifty eight year old car wash owner.
Uh he passed away in June. He wanted to give
his community one final gift and he drops money out
(01:30:28):
of a helicopter on the community.
Speaker 3 (01:30:33):
Have you have you seen this?
Speaker 4 (01:30:34):
I know I haven't, so apparently the helicopter look and
there's just money falling out of this helicopter, a lot of.
Speaker 3 (01:30:42):
It, man, you get all over.
Speaker 4 (01:30:44):
It just feels like to me that dropping money out
of a helicopter though a wonderful gesture. Who saying he's
the best car wash owner ever?
Speaker 3 (01:30:59):
I get us.
Speaker 4 (01:31:00):
And now people are out in the middle of the
street grabbing money.
Speaker 3 (01:31:03):
Run over. Yeah, this this seems like it could lead
to chaos. Yeah traffic h it does h traffic field.
Speaker 4 (01:31:11):
So yeah, they dropped it right over, like you said,
a main road. You know that is right there in Detroit,
you know, the best to ever do it?
Speaker 8 (01:31:23):
Rest well?
Speaker 10 (01:31:24):
Unk?
Speaker 4 (01:31:24):
Yeah, rest well unk. I guess that's that's unk. Darryl
Plant Thomas yep.
Speaker 3 (01:31:29):
Uh so, so i'd go to catch something the car
take now yeah yeah, yeah, you know it well speedy
as the texture has already said, the odds of you
ever dropping money none or so count on now it
was so that that one. Yeah, we can't even get
ten dollars, We can't even get it out of his wallet.
Speaker 4 (01:31:50):
You know how much that's a helicopter? Yeah, so uh
so anyway, so that's also we we had. We're having
someone asking, you know about what we talked about about
traveling when you're traveling and people, look, I don't know
why people are coming to us because we don't have
good experiences.
Speaker 3 (01:32:09):
You know, what answer could we possibly have? You know,
for you?
Speaker 14 (01:32:14):
You know and.
Speaker 3 (01:32:16):
What you did?
Speaker 2 (01:32:17):
Right?
Speaker 4 (01:32:17):
Yeah, So we have somebody here that is saying that,
let me see where did that go? I just had
there asking about trying to get to our part of
the world, and and they said that their wife now
is freaked out because they're trying to go to the
beach and uh, and they don't know head south. Yeah,
(01:32:38):
they don't know what's the best way to maneuver through
through sixty five and what time they should come through.
And I just, guys, I mean, do you I don't
know that I really have any good advice for them,
do y'all?
Speaker 3 (01:32:58):
What are you saying? They're just they're going to the beach.
Speaker 4 (01:33:00):
Yeah, you know what, I had it, and I don't
know where it went. Let me look, because I mean
I was just looking at it and now it's gone.
Have you ever done that where you're trying to get
something up to look at and somehow you hit it.
Speaker 3 (01:33:11):
Okay, here it is.
Speaker 4 (01:33:11):
I got it all right, So Bird and the crew,
Now you have scared my wife. I live in Nashville.
I'm going to be driving to oh Gulf of America
thirty eight this weekend, fourth of July weekend.
Speaker 3 (01:33:26):
Have you lost your mind?
Speaker 4 (01:33:28):
I mean, I hate to be that person. There is
no chance I'm getting on an airplane. We are flexible
and can travel on Sunday the sixth or early Monday
July seventh. Can you give me your best guess as
to when I should pass through your city to avoid
that long line and meltdown on.
Speaker 3 (01:33:47):
I sixty five.
Speaker 4 (01:33:49):
Maybe y'all can get in blocks of time that are green, yellow,
or red. Do not even don't even remotely think about Saturday.
Speaker 3 (01:33:57):
No, they say that today if you're listening live and
it's Wednesday, the second is going to be the busiest
travel down the roads, Sunday being the biggest at the
airport because everybody's trying to get home. But as far
as travel, now, this is just what's worked for me.
I don't know is when I'm going I wake up
real early, and even if I get down there and
(01:34:18):
there's time to kill before check in I get out,
like I leave at five in the morning and just
get going, and I don't wait till six, seven, eight
o'clock because that's when it starts building and every all
the traffic at eight o'clock here. So well, I would
say either either go early Sunday or really late Sunday,
or just just go really early Monday morning, early Monday. Yeah.
Speaker 4 (01:34:38):
What I would do is I would be let's let's
help here. I would come on to Birmingham and I
would spend the night Sunday night. Because what you're talking
about early, hen Heed's already to be here early. Not
come from Nashville early, because by the time he gets here,
he's gonna be right in there.
Speaker 1 (01:34:52):
Yeah.
Speaker 4 (01:34:52):
Yeah, yeah, So you're gonna need to cut down that
first three hours and get here on Sunday night, get
in a whole tell here, okay, get up, Like Speedy said,
I mean, I'm talking about car rolling at five am
Monday morning.
Speaker 3 (01:35:07):
It's got that's the only way.
Speaker 11 (01:35:09):
Now.
Speaker 3 (01:35:09):
I don't know when your reservations are and all that.
Speaker 4 (01:35:11):
Yeah, you seem to be kind of flexible. What are
you staying in I've never heard this kind of flexibility
on renting something on thirty eight.
Speaker 3 (01:35:16):
They have they renting, or they have a place or something,
or maybe they got.
Speaker 8 (01:35:20):
A sweet van. That's where you have the place.
Speaker 4 (01:35:23):
I'll be driving to thirty A this weekend. He doesn't
say their accommodation.
Speaker 3 (01:35:27):
Okay, can I He said, none of your business? Can
I say?
Speaker 8 (01:35:30):
And this doesn't this doesn't apply to this situation.
Speaker 9 (01:35:33):
But one time, I think I think the fourth of
July feels reckless was on a Saturday.
Speaker 8 (01:35:38):
I think the fourth of July was on a Saturday.
On Saturday one time, my wife and I and maybe
maybe a Sunday.
Speaker 3 (01:35:45):
No, it would have been a Saturday, okay, buddy.
Speaker 9 (01:35:48):
We were down at the beach for several days with
my family. We actually came back on the fourth of July.
Drove from the beach back home to Birmingham on the
fourth of July. We had all our fun beach times,
but that we actually even had a beach morning fourth
of July morning. Then we hit the road back to Birmingham.
Roads were empty because everybody was at their destination. Everybody
(01:36:11):
was enjoying their time.
Speaker 3 (01:36:13):
And we beat the system.
Speaker 4 (01:36:14):
Oh no, I didn't get time night. I've done that before,
and you are one right it's pretty It was nice.
If they're willing to trash forth in July and drive
on that day. Yeah, that that might have some potential
because everybody's already there. But I will tell you, if
you're renting something on thirty eight, they rent Saturday to Saturday.
Speaker 8 (01:36:32):
That's how they get you.
Speaker 3 (01:36:34):
Oh yeah, so right, So you might be you don't
want any part of Saturday. It might be a situation
where they know somebody and they're staying with them and look,
I know, here you'll go. I don't know what their
budget is. Here we go. You know, I'm just saying
they might not want to. It was the fact that
they don't care. Dollars on a hotel, sleep in the
car they can send yeah yeah, yeah, And so it's
(01:36:56):
it's if if they might not want to come down
and get a place Sunday night, so leave at two
am on Monday morning.
Speaker 4 (01:37:03):
I would say, I would say that out driving on Friday,
I would give that a yellow. I would give early
Monday morning of green, and I would give Saturday and
Sunday red.
Speaker 3 (01:37:13):
That's it. Yeah, yeah, much, yep?
Speaker 8 (01:37:16):
How much y'all think I could charge to rent out
my vands?
Speaker 3 (01:37:20):
You could do well, yeah, you could.
Speaker 1 (01:37:21):
You could do well.
Speaker 8 (01:37:22):
It's a one bedroom, one bathroom.
Speaker 3 (01:37:24):
Can you put that on the BA baby bathroom bucket?
You know, sleep in my driveway. We'll be back.
Speaker 4 (01:37:32):
Unscreened phone calls or next okay, unscreened phone calls coming up.
Speaker 3 (01:37:39):
Right after this.
Speaker 1 (01:37:41):
This is the Rick Burgess Show. Calls or text the
show at one eight eight eight six big bucks? Okay,
(01:38:03):
are you ready to bring something to the table?
Speaker 5 (01:38:06):
Cool?
Speaker 1 (01:38:06):
No, and get on the show? What height? Eight six?
Big fucks?
Speaker 17 (01:38:13):
Jim.
Speaker 4 (01:38:13):
It's time for you, America, your opportunity. All the lines
are open, make them move. Unscreened phone calls meaning if
you're hearing ringing, all right, we see you.
Speaker 3 (01:38:22):
If you're coming, we'll work through them one by one.
We make decisions on how long they go on the fly.
Speaker 4 (01:38:30):
It's a little more adventurous and gives us a little
more variety and a lot more folks.
Speaker 3 (01:38:35):
So here we go.
Speaker 4 (01:38:37):
Welcome to the Rick Burgers Show. Unscreened phone calls your
own go ahead.
Speaker 10 (01:38:43):
Hey, this is Dwayne from Montgomery. I was going to
touch base with you guys and let you know that
I was on sixty five last Wednesday night, our Wednesday morning.
This was about three o'clock in the morning. I know
that's really early for your Nashville guy, but man, there
is nobody on.
Speaker 3 (01:39:01):
Sixty five in South what a feeling.
Speaker 10 (01:39:04):
So I mean, I mean, I seriously could have gone
one hundred miles an hour and no one would have
seen me. So it's just how early he wants to
get up.
Speaker 3 (01:39:15):
It's what you're willing to do.
Speaker 4 (01:39:16):
What you're willing to do, you right, But it's going
to take that kind of extremism. As Speedy said, the
problem you have though, you got to have a plan
that you're going to hit. You know, I don't know
what his accommodations are, but when you hit your beach destination,
you're not going to get to check in till a
lot of times after four. So you got to have
a game plan. You know, we're going to eat somewhere.
(01:39:37):
But I'll take that all day long versus sitting in
that parking lot. Oh yeah, all day long. Let's continue.
Welcome to the Rick Burgers Show. You're on unscreen phone calls.
Speaker 10 (01:39:48):
Go ahead, Hey, as good morning, how are y'all?
Speaker 3 (01:39:51):
We're good? Hope you're will.
Speaker 10 (01:39:54):
I am rocking it like a fat kid in a
wooden horse. Well, see, I was that, I was that
fat kid and we'd.
Speaker 8 (01:40:03):
Have horse raises in the living room.
Speaker 10 (01:40:07):
And my brother's late way less than I did, so
we get to push into rock and forward and I'd
wear them out across those floor. So that's a that's
an original there, Bay.
Speaker 4 (01:40:17):
And do you remember too, You remember I was a
fat kid too, and I've been fat most of my life.
Do you remember though, we always beat all the kids
on whatever. We were all riding down a hill to
our weight just gave us so much more sleep, so
much more speed.
Speaker 3 (01:40:30):
Yeah, I can touch.
Speaker 10 (01:40:31):
Yeah, there was advantage to that.
Speaker 3 (01:40:33):
Yeah, but go ahead. Yeah.
Speaker 10 (01:40:35):
So since did they say that they're traveling down around
the fourth? Would in the traffic be okay going down
at that time?
Speaker 4 (01:40:45):
Well, that's one thing we gave the fourth. We gave
the fourth a yellow light if you're really willing to
drive on the actual fourth and just abandon the idea
of celebrating it.
Speaker 7 (01:40:55):
Uh.
Speaker 4 (01:40:56):
And then we put a red mark on the fifth
and the sixth. I wouldn't go near that for people
that are coming in to stay the whole week, but
starting you know, with the fourth.
Speaker 13 (01:41:05):
Uh.
Speaker 4 (01:41:05):
And then we gave him a green on early early
early Monday. He seen he seems he seemed flexible.
Speaker 10 (01:41:14):
Yeah, yeah, I'm like you guys getting on down past Birmingham.
Speaker 3 (01:41:18):
He's your way down.
Speaker 10 (01:41:19):
Spend the night and then drive on down.
Speaker 3 (01:41:22):
Yeah.
Speaker 4 (01:41:22):
The problem is Birmingham to the Gulf of America. That
that's your problem, right.
Speaker 3 (01:41:27):
Oh, it's a douc sadly on the Interstate sixty five
through Atlanta from about May to August, it's all it's
a craps you. You don't know what it's going to be. Like,
there's so many people traveling.
Speaker 8 (01:41:38):
Anything can happen.
Speaker 3 (01:41:39):
Anything can happening.
Speaker 9 (01:41:41):
Wreck on the other side of the interstate can horrible. Yeah,
from people slowing down and onlookers to lave.
Speaker 3 (01:41:47):
Yeah. Uh, sometime kangaroo jumping down the side could be
a buffalo who knows.
Speaker 4 (01:41:56):
We continue who slipped when he got on the pavement.
Rick Burgess unscreen phone calls go ahead.
Speaker 8 (01:42:01):
Poor guy.
Speaker 3 (01:42:03):
I just wanted to say to my hotel check it
in and used to be what ten eleven Now is noon?
Now's one and two and.
Speaker 4 (01:42:09):
Three to four. Yes, checking in at four o'clock in
the afternoon is absolutely outrageous.
Speaker 3 (01:42:14):
Oh yeah, that's agreed. I agree.
Speaker 8 (01:42:16):
Come on, some people.
Speaker 9 (01:42:18):
Somebody did mention in the text that some hotels will
let you go ahead and use the pool for the
you know whatever while.
Speaker 8 (01:42:25):
You're waiting to check in.
Speaker 4 (01:42:26):
Sit you wet bud out there to be's soggy for
a few Here's more. Here's more, people say, I live
in this part of the world. If you if you
have to drive sixty five this time, you're on the weekend,
leave at ten pm. Anyone anytime between ten pm at
eight am. Anything else is a not mare.
Speaker 10 (01:42:43):
Wow.
Speaker 4 (01:42:44):
If it's gonna be on the weekend. Uh, we continue
and they're right. Rick Burgess show unscreen phone calls.
Speaker 3 (01:42:50):
Go ahead, big hattie, this is slip.
Speaker 10 (01:42:53):
Hey, y'all do it real well, buddy.
Speaker 5 (01:42:56):
Good good Hey. I love you guys, but I don't
want to give the whoop woop big howdie chout Adler.
I am amazed at what he can do with this
YouTube thing. And in between the commercials speed, he love
you too. You're always there, Greg. I met one of
you minions, buddy, but I Meandler and a boy.
Speaker 8 (01:43:17):
Hey, whoop, whoop back to you, sir.
Speaker 3 (01:43:20):
He's amazing.
Speaker 6 (01:43:22):
You know what he is.
Speaker 3 (01:43:23):
Here's the thing. One he's our own red Panda.
Speaker 5 (01:43:26):
He is.
Speaker 3 (01:43:27):
Yeah, he performs like red. Yeah, yes, very good.
Speaker 4 (01:43:35):
We can continue Rick Burgess show. Unscreen phone calls go ahead.
Speaker 3 (01:43:40):
Hey morning, guys, Hey buddy.
Speaker 5 (01:43:42):
Hey.
Speaker 8 (01:43:43):
So we went to the beach and I had gotten.
Speaker 13 (01:43:45):
There before check in, went with my whole mom's out
of the family, and uh, he went for a walk
down the beach and uh it was a kid that
had a skin board and was going going at a
wave and threw him in the ankle and he busted
on the beach and couldn't get in the run another
hour to change.
Speaker 3 (01:44:04):
That's what you have. That's what you gotta watch.
Speaker 4 (01:44:06):
Somebody's saying, didn't Trump say that we'll have three lanes
on sixty five? There, No, there is a there's some
people pushing to widen sixty five. But understand people that
we'll all be dead.
Speaker 9 (01:44:18):
Yeah.
Speaker 3 (01:44:19):
We'll do is deal with the construction decades, which worse.
Speaker 4 (01:44:22):
What we've got to do is we have to sacrifice
ourselves for the good of the next generation. You know,
if the Lord Terry's so, but we'll never see it now,
you know, you got to look at your age. Yeah,
they'll fix the time change for that. Yeah, here's what's
going to happen sixty five. The only part of widening
of sixty five that my life will feature is the
(01:44:43):
construction nightmare. Yeah, trying, it'll be worse now, we'll we'll
actually have it worse than the next generation. But the
next generation may have a sixty five that flows. But
if you're sixty or our age close to sixty, Adler
I like to say, I don't think you're gonna see it.
Maybe your grand maybe your grandkids may see it. I
(01:45:06):
think there is a process, and there's talk of that,
and it may actually happen. Anybody got any idea what
the process will be? Like, Holy moley, we're gonna scrape
it off and then we're gonna leave it grooved for
at least a month, or can you we'll try to
come back driving it. Yeah, and then and then uneven
Lane and those that have the monopoly on getting that
(01:45:26):
construction gig, they just don't build money, money with money.
I was tried to get home yesterday and every way
that I go they was doing some kind of roadwork.
And I was like, because I thought, well, I'll go
this way because I knew where they were doing road work.
While getting on this other round, and I've been daggun.
Speaker 3 (01:45:40):
They ain't doing it there too.
Speaker 4 (01:45:41):
I'm not talking about the workers. But does it ever
bother you that the people at the upper the high
ranking people that own these companies, that have this monopoly
with the state government. Does it ever bother you that
the traffic they're making you sit in they never deal
with because they have private planes, because of all the
millions and millions of dollars they make.
Speaker 3 (01:46:01):
Uh well, you know, the worst job in this country
has to be the flagger. Oh it, what's hot? Bless?
Oh my goodness. They have that look on their face
like man, so what a long day?
Speaker 1 (01:46:14):
Oh?
Speaker 4 (01:46:16):
We continue Rick Birders Show, unscreen phone calls.
Speaker 16 (01:46:19):
Go ahead, Hey, yes, I just want to say, from
a lady's point of view, go into the beach and
you're on sixty five. Stop at Evergreen at the connect
a sausage store. Got the cleanest bathroom?
Speaker 4 (01:46:31):
Okay, good word? Nice, that's a good word.
Speaker 3 (01:46:34):
You got to know where the good bathroom? You gotta
know for the women for we don't care. We'll get
We'll find a bush. Sure, anybody got a jug? Jug work?
Speaker 4 (01:46:42):
We continue Rick Birder's show, unscreen phone calls go ahead,
it's hard while you driving.
Speaker 3 (01:46:46):
Yeah it is. Hey, good morning, Hey, how you doing.
Speaker 6 (01:46:51):
I'm good. How are you guys? I love y'all, show
love it, Thank you. I'm going to tell you. We
me and my friends we went. We wanted to avoid
the interstate, so we started taking these back roads from
tests and we ended up in a town and there
were I mean, there were pineapples everywhere. We didn't know
where we were at, and so we called our friend
(01:47:14):
and say, we're in this town and the middle of nowhere.
There's pineapples everywhere, some of them upside down.
Speaker 18 (01:47:21):
Never see anything like it.
Speaker 6 (01:47:22):
And she was like, get out of there. But anyway,
you know what that means.
Speaker 2 (01:47:27):
We do.
Speaker 6 (01:47:28):
So anyway, I think the town was called Pineapple. I
don't know it is. Yeah, it's in the middle of nowhere.
Speaker 3 (01:47:36):
It might it might unofficially be there.
Speaker 8 (01:47:41):
There is a pine space Apple. Oh really town in Alabama? Yeah,
one word, two words, pineapple.
Speaker 3 (01:47:49):
Yeah.
Speaker 4 (01:47:50):
I'm open to that. And I think ways will do it.
I don't know if the others will do it. Where
you say, get me there, do not use interstates, and
then you just hit the back roads all the way there.
I don't even care if it's longer.
Speaker 9 (01:48:00):
Yeah, Google Maps, you do avoid highways if you want
to do oyeah, Apple Maps does that.
Speaker 3 (01:48:08):
It's in there. You see a lot of cottle barns
and farmland and you.
Speaker 8 (01:48:12):
Only seven minute difference. I'm seeing here.
Speaker 4 (01:48:17):
The only bad part is when you try to do
that and then you get behind the logging truck.
Speaker 3 (01:48:21):
Yeah, you're like, now I'm on two lanes.
Speaker 8 (01:48:24):
When can I pass? This is incredibly dangerous. There's a
corner coming.
Speaker 3 (01:48:29):
Much more to do. We'll be right back. Make sure
your phone calls.
Speaker 1 (01:48:34):
This is the Rick Burgess Show, Strange and Cutters, the
new podcast from brick Bridges. Get it, no whatever you
get podcasts.
Speaker 4 (01:48:56):
Somebody said that we needed to start a new one
called Airports Encounters.
Speaker 16 (01:49:01):
Yeah, thank you.
Speaker 3 (01:49:03):
It's not a bad idea. We're bad kind of one
and the same at times.
Speaker 4 (01:49:08):
All right, So some reminders Wednesday Bible study back today
will continue with the Book of Job today. I think
chapter twenty one, so I hope you'll join us. Hey,
come on, is it twenty or twenty one? So anyway,
that's happening today. Catch it live at noon Central one
o'clock Eastern on the YouTube channel. If you missed that,
(01:49:30):
catch the archive a little bit later today, not long
after the original is over.
Speaker 3 (01:49:37):
Let's talk a little Trump here.
Speaker 4 (01:49:41):
Yeah, we talked about alligator Altlatrass yesterday. So Trump, we
did finally get down to the truth that it is
in the Everglades kind of swampy area. I do think
people saying that they were piling in mobs of alligators.
Speaker 3 (01:49:58):
I don't think that was accurate. I think there are
just enough of them there naturally.
Speaker 4 (01:50:02):
But President Trump was talking about as he toured this
facility for people that we need to attain this will
be the worst of the worst. It is air conditioned.
Before you start hearing the media.
Speaker 3 (01:50:12):
Saying it's not.
Speaker 4 (01:50:14):
But here is Trump talking about the fact that it's
interesting that he's touring this facility because if Biden had
his way, he would actually be detained in it.
Speaker 3 (01:50:24):
So here, here we go.
Speaker 8 (01:50:26):
I think our viewers and hole should know.
Speaker 3 (01:50:27):
But this is air conditioning facility.
Speaker 8 (01:50:29):
So if any of the news claims are keeping him
out in the hot hum itself, Barda, that is wrong.
Speaker 3 (01:50:33):
It's probably sixty two degrees sure to be on.
Speaker 8 (01:50:36):
So hey, yeah, Biden wanted me in here, Okay, he
wanted me.
Speaker 1 (01:50:40):
It didn't work out that way, but he wanted me
in here.
Speaker 4 (01:50:53):
That son of a gun guys our president walks around
with the big telephone had him.
Speaker 3 (01:50:57):
Yeah, yeah, don't forget that, right.
Speaker 4 (01:51:00):
President Trump's talking about are little, which is a weird commination.
Islamic communist there in who wants to be the mayor
of New York City talking about ma'm is it.
Speaker 3 (01:51:12):
Ma'm donnie, ma'm danny, mam donnie, ma'm donnie.
Speaker 4 (01:51:16):
He blocks Ice from doing their job. He says, Well,
I guess we'll just have to arrest him.
Speaker 10 (01:51:21):
Here we go.
Speaker 11 (01:51:22):
Yeah, as a president, you're beloved New York City. You
beloved New York City may well be led by a
communist soon. Zorhan Mundanmi, who in his nomination speech said
he will defy ICE and will not allow ICE to
arrest criminal aliens in New York City. Your message to communist,
Zorhan Mundani.
Speaker 3 (01:51:42):
Well, then we'll have to arrest him.
Speaker 2 (01:51:44):
Look, we don't need a communist in this country, but
if we have one, I'm going to be watching over
him very carefully on behalf of the nation. We send
him money, we send him all the things that he
needs to run a government, and by the way, they
get already they get about three times what you get. Wrong,
if you look at the per capita, Florida gets one
(01:52:05):
third of what New York gets in terms of the numbers.
Speaker 3 (01:52:08):
What do you give us those numbers?
Speaker 2 (01:52:09):
Yeah, well that's what we should send him.
Speaker 10 (01:52:11):
Yeah.
Speaker 19 (01:52:11):
Well, sometimes people say Florida gets more because they count
social Security recipients. But that's not money to the state.
Those are seniors that live here. If they moved to
North Carolina, you could count it there. So it has
no interaction with the state government. They get more in
the city and state governments than we get substantially.
Speaker 3 (01:52:28):
We're going to be watching that very carefully.
Speaker 2 (01:52:30):
And a lot of people are saying he's here illegally,
he's you know, we're going to look at everything.
Speaker 3 (01:52:35):
But and ideally he's.
Speaker 2 (01:52:38):
Going to turn out to be much less than a communist.
But right now he's a communist. That's not a socialist.
You know, I've always said we will not have socialism
in this country. In the speech, as I said, well
what they skipped socialism, and you get a lot of
them like.
Speaker 8 (01:52:50):
That skips socialism, went straight to community.
Speaker 4 (01:52:53):
Yeah, there he is.
Speaker 3 (01:52:54):
So he said, well, if he just costume a struggle,
just arrest him.
Speaker 4 (01:52:58):
Here is now, Remember at one time I believe that
he was he called Ron DeSantis the santimonious.
Speaker 3 (01:53:05):
Is that right before he retired?
Speaker 4 (01:53:07):
And if I remember when DeSantis starts supporting him, he
said he's no longer calling him bad names.
Speaker 3 (01:53:12):
Right, Yeah, he's retired.
Speaker 4 (01:53:14):
He goes a step further, Greg, he was going to
talk about how DeSantis is one of his best friends.
Speaker 11 (01:53:19):
Here.
Speaker 3 (01:53:20):
I don't believe that. Here here we go go well
with the federal government.
Speaker 2 (01:53:23):
It's it's been just a beautiful, beautiful partnership. So Ron,
I'd like to thank you personally. You know my friend,
and you'll always be my friend.
Speaker 17 (01:53:32):
And we may have some skirmishes even in the future.
Speaker 2 (01:53:35):
I doubt it, but I will always come back because
we just seemed to we have blood that seems to
match pretty well. We have we have a relationship that's
been a very strong one for a long period of time,
and I appreciate it very much appreciated.
Speaker 3 (01:53:51):
Santemonious.
Speaker 4 (01:53:52):
I want to double down again and remind you that
I did retire that that uh yeah, now that nickname,
which was a shot at you, officially retired officially retarded.
Speaker 3 (01:54:02):
And I think what he's referring to in the future is, uh,
I didn't he didn't Trump already endorse someone to for
the next uh Florida governor election, didn't he was? It
was it Byron Donald's or something the way. And there's
there's rumor that Desanta's wife might run.
Speaker 8 (01:54:20):
Trump endorsed Byron Donald's makes run for Florida.
Speaker 9 (01:54:22):
Yeah, and Casey Casey de Santis, isn't that Yeah, Yeah,
there's a rumor that Casey disants might yeah yeah.
Speaker 3 (01:54:28):
And then you look at the next presidency, will Will
dissantus be in it? And then jd vance or right,
and so you just never know. I think he's referring
to some others, those of you wondering about the National
Guard getting involved and uh, the deportations. Trump says absolutely
they will be involved in Florida. So here we go.
Speaker 19 (01:54:47):
This say is we're offering up our National Guard and
other folks in Florida to be deputies, to be immigration judges.
We're working with the Department of Justice for the approvals.
Speaker 3 (01:54:57):
I'm sure Tambill approved.
Speaker 19 (01:54:59):
Uh, but then you have I'll have a National Guard
judge advocate here, someone hasn't notice to appear. Biden would
tell him to come back in three years and appear. Now,
you'll be able to appear in like a day or two,
so they're not going to be detained hopefully for all
that long. We'll have people here in this facility that
can make you know it's a bureaucracy. President's got a
deal with the bureaucracy.
Speaker 14 (01:55:18):
Now.
Speaker 19 (01:55:19):
That Supreme Court ruling was good because that's going to
allow him to be able to extras article too the
way founders intended. But you still have bureaucracy. So we
want to cut through that so that we have an
efficient operation between Florida and DHS to get the removal
these illegals done.
Speaker 3 (01:55:35):
Nice. So there you go, and we don't really have
enough time for it.
Speaker 4 (01:55:38):
But Steven Miller's is just basically telling us within a
few days President Trump achieved the most secure border anyone
in the world has ever seen. We don't really have
time for all that, but apparently that the speed that
the border has been secured is one thing to marvel
and it's secured in a way that the world has
(01:56:00):
has never seen.
Speaker 9 (01:56:01):
And the Supreme Court decision that Ronda Santis was talking
about was you got a whole bunch of press with
Amy Coney Barrett firing back at Katanji Brown Jackson talking
about how Katanji is just ignoring two Katanji. Is it
ken Tanji or Katanji?
Speaker 3 (01:56:21):
You're saying it right, just doing that thing again.
Speaker 9 (01:56:25):
Well, basically they just can't let a name like that
go by without commenting on Amy Barrett. Amy Barrett like
in her little statement rips another judge and that doesn't
happen very often, but she basically says she's ignoring two
hundred years of historical president. She's warning against an executive
that is out of control. But in that process, she
(01:56:46):
is approving a judges that are out of control. So
you're worried about a president that's out of control, Well,
what you're doing here is allowing all these little judges
to go against the executive. So you're you're making the
problem worse and ignoring history.
Speaker 8 (01:57:02):
Uh, And so that was that was a very historical
thing happened.
Speaker 3 (01:57:05):
Top of the hour. Thanks for being with us, giving

So I do want to announce something, guys, Speedy Greg
Adler here, just saw this breaking on the news a
few moments ago. This is a big one, another big one.
Waffle House has dropped the egg surcharge.
Speaker 3 (01:59:02):
Oh it didn't last. What it's been a few months back.
Speaker 4 (01:59:06):
I remember, what's what's our egg status? They were back
to win? Are we back to winning with eggs? Are
remember bird flu was gonna kill us all? Remember that
was happening?
Speaker 3 (01:59:19):
We are all going to kill all the chickens, right,
It's time to grow some new ones. But they're growing
fast now. They they do grow fast.
Speaker 4 (01:59:26):
They do probably probably don't want to know everything they do, don't,
but apparently we're winning.
Speaker 3 (01:59:31):
With eggs again. Good back to eggs. Yeah, so you
what were you gonna tell us about Monday? We didn't
mention it, but I didn't know if y'all heard about
victory b I C T O or what v C
t oh?
Speaker 7 (01:59:47):
Victory Victory is our crash?
Speaker 9 (01:59:52):
What?
Speaker 6 (01:59:53):
Uh?
Speaker 3 (01:59:53):
That's Trump's new line of Trump fragrances. Fragrances please tough
me to say it is? I thought about both for
both for men and women. Victory forty five forty seven,
named after Trump's titles be in the forty fifth, forty
seventh President of the United States.
Speaker 8 (02:00:12):
Uh, they say the gold bottle figuring.
Speaker 3 (02:00:15):
Yeah, is that it is? It was? Uh, it was
released and announced on Monday. It's it says that they're
called Victory forty five forty seven, because they're all about winning,
strength and success for men and women. Get your bottle
and get someone else. A bottle to cologne or a
perfume can be what they can be winning. They're they're
(02:00:36):
there for winning, strength and success. So if I put
it on, you're winning. I've become stronger. Yeah, I've become
more successful, right and I'm winning right right? That is correct?
What it's winning smell like? It's uh, well, it's let
me get to that. You asked the quick question. It's
right at two hundred and fifty dollars. Yeah, okay, at
(02:01:00):
it captures confidence, beauty and unstoppable determination for women. Uh
and uh at this but I guess I guess I
brought this up. I brought this up. Is President Trump?
Is he the first president that is also an influencer?
(02:01:21):
Probably so, because if you think about it, he's had
Trump sneakers and they sell out the Trump Watch rick,
he had a Trump Bible. Let's not forget that. If
you go to Trump store dot com, you've got y'all.
He has Trump pickleball rackets, he's got uh, he's got
(02:01:43):
When it comes to home and spa, he's got Trump robes, skincare, candles, luggage,
you know, you know, I mean, he goes on and
on and on. But if you really think about it,
and how come other presidents didn't take advantage of this,
That's true. He really has is an influence. He was
his name and likeness for different brands. And I understand
(02:02:03):
the Trump hotels and all that. That's that was going
Trump Tyler and all that. But I'm talking about since
his presidency, he's pushing these lines and they sell out
with him.
Speaker 4 (02:02:12):
Well, every president we've ever had, whether they'll admit it
or not, and many others who've served in Washington, they
all take that that influence and that office and they
make lots of money with it. They just sure, they
just pretend it's not happening, but it does. At least
Trump's just open about it.
Speaker 3 (02:02:32):
Yeah.
Speaker 4 (02:02:32):
But he also came from the private sector, so he
doesn't have It's not like something he's trying to hide.
Speaker 5 (02:02:38):
Right.
Speaker 3 (02:02:38):
He is a capitalist. He's a businessman.
Speaker 4 (02:02:42):
He was before he ever got in office, and he said,
I'm in office, and you know being the president is
good for business.
Speaker 3 (02:02:49):
Yeah. He put on true social you'll love this when
promoting the fragrance he said, enjoy, have fun, and keep winning.
Keep winning with this, I wonder, and I'm sure he
had his hand in these, you know, the concrete long statues.
I was telling you that place that I passed on
my way home everything, Yeah, that they had concrete trumps. Hey,
(02:03:10):
I guess they sold them all. I don't see now.
And I bet he had his hand in that. Yeah.
And don't forget we got what T one and Trump
Mobile that look like it's it's gonna be released in August,
a five G cellular network.
Speaker 4 (02:03:24):
I have to give whoever this is on text Nation
an outstanding comedic line. I'm afraid to buy this from
my wife because I'm afraid it'll close the borders.
Speaker 9 (02:03:35):
Go.
Speaker 3 (02:03:36):
That is good. God, that's funny. That is a good
That is so good. Who said that wasn't funny? That's
that's funny. I don't care who you are. I don't either.
So during the campaign he had the Trump Bible for
sixty dollars. It also included the UBO Constitution, Built of Rights,
Declaration of Independence, Pledge of Allegiance, and written a course
to God Bless the USA. Let's see here.
Speaker 13 (02:04:00):
He he had.
Speaker 3 (02:04:03):
At the same time he began again selling nevernder. Yeah.
Speaker 4 (02:04:09):
He does a lot of merch. Yeah, I mean he
has a lot of winning merch. And there's the great
making America Great hat.
Speaker 3 (02:04:14):
His sneakers were five hundred dollars the old Yeah, the
uh some watches were between four ninety nine and seven
ninety nine, and they couldn't keep them. They were get
selling out so quick.
Speaker 4 (02:04:26):
How about the well yeah, I mean, can you have
a bigger platform than I'm the leader of the free world?
Speaker 3 (02:04:33):
Look at these Trump twenty twenty eight, right.
Speaker 4 (02:04:35):
I promise you we'd be moving a lot more shirts
and hats if I if one of us was the president.
Speaker 3 (02:04:39):
Right, Greg, you can get one of your favorite red
make America Great Again hats that you love to talk about.
Fifty five dollars, Oh good one.
Speaker 4 (02:04:46):
Here, somebody says, to my, fifty dollars for cologne. That's
not affordable for the normal person. I don't think a
normal person wants his Colonne.
Speaker 3 (02:04:54):
That's good. I don't get a lot of Colonne. But
what are you talking about? Evidently there's a group out
that buys everything he puts out. Yeah, I wouldn't a
big group.
Speaker 8 (02:05:03):
It's called my grandma.
Speaker 3 (02:05:05):
That's funny.
Speaker 8 (02:05:08):
I don't stop sending people that say they're from the
Trump headquarters money. Please stop doing beg you to stop
doing that.
Speaker 3 (02:05:14):
Yeah, I'm not a cologne guy. I don't. I don't.
I don't do that. People that wear too much bothered.
Speaker 8 (02:05:19):
Me, Yes, they really bothered me.
Speaker 9 (02:05:21):
If I if you're a dude and you're where you
choose to wear Colonne, that's fine. But the only time
I should smell it is if I hug you.
Speaker 3 (02:05:27):
That's right, that's what to smell it.
Speaker 9 (02:05:29):
Even if I'm standing next to you, I shouldn't be
able to smell it. I should have to embrace you
to smell your cologne.
Speaker 3 (02:05:33):
I said, let me tell you. We talked about it.
And we love j T.
Speaker 4 (02:05:37):
He's a great friend and uh you know, and I
always enjoyed my time with JT. But JT with the cologne.
I mean his cologne like comes in its own car
has it takes up a parking spot everything. We had
that one it gets there before him. We had that
one frequent guess that used to come home when he left.
I mean we had to open the door. You don't
(02:05:58):
want to You don't want somebody to smell you before
they see you. No, you know, and my eyes shouldn't water.
Speaker 3 (02:06:04):
No, you're good at marketing, Rick, What do you feel
like Trump's missing as far as items? I mean, He's
got a lot, a lot out there. What do you
feel like he could he could come out with that
would be big? You you you read so many products.
I stopped listening, so I don't think I can we
have shirts we've got I think I could add anything
(02:06:24):
to his winning ways. I mean, he he got it
all cover. It sounds like about words brown, Yeah, what
about earrings and on like one has forty five, one
has forty seven. Yeah, you look good though.
Speaker 8 (02:06:36):
They've got flasks for you.
Speaker 3 (02:06:38):
Greg, Have you have you ever enough?
Speaker 14 (02:06:39):
You know that?
Speaker 6 (02:06:40):
Yeah?
Speaker 4 (02:06:40):
I think if Trump, knowing his audience, if he could
come out with a beer.
Speaker 3 (02:06:46):
I thought he did he come out with a beer.
Speaker 8 (02:06:48):
Maybe that was hulk.
Speaker 4 (02:06:49):
He had a wine, didn't he? But I don't know
if he's had a beer.
Speaker 3 (02:06:53):
You know, if he came out with just a the
old blue collar guy he just got off work.
Speaker 8 (02:06:58):
Trump Vodka was a brand discontinue twenty eleven.
Speaker 3 (02:07:01):
Okay, so he's had some alcohol, but he's never just
had a beer.
Speaker 4 (02:07:03):
Head.
Speaker 1 (02:07:03):
You know that This is the Rick Burgess Show, The
Man who Loves for a national holiday in honor of

knock out another show.
Speaker 3 (02:07:40):

Speaker 4 (02:07:42):
You're good with your security system, So when you're locking it,
putting in your code, are you also unlocking peace of mind?
Well if you're not, you know, if you've got one
of the old and acquainted security systems, it could be better.
With our friends, it's simplysafe dot com slash big vox.

Speaker 13 (02:08:58):
You know.
Speaker 4 (02:09:00):
I do find it interesting and and the Texture talks
about this, Isn't it interesting that Trump because he's been
very very clear and I think an outstanding message that
he has never drank nor did drugs, because he watched
these things destroy his brother's life. So he said, I
watched it destroy somebody. So I thought, well, those are
(02:09:20):
not things to do. And the Texture is pointing out
though he does not drink alcohol, those who love him
consume quite a bit of it, you know, and that
that message with with those that are with him has
not resonated. You know what, there's a there's a large
portion of the Trumpsters that they're they're all in on
(02:09:44):
all the things he says except that one. Uh so
that that that one statement has not resonated. Yeah, uh
so there you go. Also, uh you know, we've we've
I'm always very intrigued by how people are duped by
cult leaders. It's always intriguing, Yeah, y'all, y'all, Yeah, you know,
we've talked about, like when you see the yeah, get
(02:10:07):
pulled in there, you're David Koresh. You know, like we've
said before, you know, he might have had some momentum
going there for a little while. I think the day
that my so called new pastor uh comes out and
starts to play Zeppelin as part of the worship set,
I think that's always maybe a little bit of a
yellow flag.
Speaker 3 (02:10:26):
Yeah.
Speaker 4 (02:10:27):
And then the red flag is when he declares that
all of our wives now belong to him. Yeah, that's
not a yellow, that's a red. That's a solid.
Speaker 3 (02:10:34):
Yeah.
Speaker 4 (02:10:35):
Yeah, that's when you pack your stuff and say, honey,
I think we's time for us to try to maybe
visit another church.
Speaker 3 (02:10:43):
Are you familiar with this?
Speaker 4 (02:10:44):
I actually saw a special on this guy, Siberian Jesus.
Are you familiar with him? I saw the headline. He's
a Siberian cult leader who claims to be the reincarnation
of Jesus Christ. He's now been sentenced shocker coming here.
He has now been sentenced to twelve years in a
Russian prison camp after his conviction of physically and here's
(02:11:07):
the one that really surprised me financially harming his followers.
So Russia, right, he he he was a former traffic policeman.
Speaker 8 (02:11:19):
Okay, okay, so he was used to showing people the way.
Speaker 3 (02:11:26):
Him right there, that's him, that's there's there's Siberian Jesus.
This gues get the beard in the hair don't make
By the way, there's really no evidence that Jesus even
had that hair and beard. It is just something an
artist painted one time and we all went with it.
Speaker 5 (02:11:40):
Uh.
Speaker 4 (02:11:41):
But anyway, so he went by some Russian name I
can't pronounce it, Visarian, which means he he who gives
new life. So, uh, Greg, shocker here when someone says
they're Jesus, he was able to cycle logically pressure people
(02:12:01):
to give their money to him. Well yeah, I mean
if you if you buying that he's Jesus, you pretty
much do what he says. I just don't think that
coming of Jesus was going to be a former traffic cop. Yeah,
maybe I'm overthinking it. Right, So you were a traffic
cop for a while before you.
Speaker 3 (02:12:18):
Revealed who you were.
Speaker 4 (02:12:19):
Well, Greg, we all see in the prophets, mainly of
the Old Testament, that Jesus will return as a former
traffic cop in Russia. Yeah, these equals really clear on that.
So yeah, that uh, that's that's funny. It's not funny.
I hate for people to be in this situation. But
this tell me, I just want you. I just tell me,
(02:12:41):
tell me how. You don't even have to have a
lot of biblical knowledge, okay to say you see this
guy coming. I'm not sure about this. You know what
he probably said because Jesus, you know, had the same issue.
Real Jesus, uh is that when people said you are
a traffic cop and he if you remember that's what
everybody said about Mary and Joseph's son. I know his dad,
(02:13:04):
he's a carpenter.
Speaker 3 (02:13:05):
How's this guy? He said? Then he just pivots to that.
Speaker 4 (02:13:08):
But but but Jesus said, when he got ready to ascend,
he clearly told everybody, now there's gonna be all kinds
of folks coming along claiming they're me and all this.
Don't pay any attention to that, because he said, when
I come back, I promise you there we know people
sitting around going I wonder if.
Speaker 3 (02:13:27):
That was Jesus.
Speaker 4 (02:13:29):
So any of these weirdos that are gonna be out
He even said they'll get out in the wilderness calling
come out here, you know, I'm back and all that.
Don't buy any of that. But I just think that
the Siberian Jesus that would have been a tough sell.
Speaker 3 (02:13:42):
Yeah. Yeah.
Speaker 4 (02:13:43):
You know when you when you see Russia in scripture
and in the end times, you see nothing that they
produced the return of Messiah. Now they're gonna play a
role probably in the anti Christ, but but not not
so much in this. But anyway, he has been arrested. Okay,
the Siberian Jesus's.
Speaker 3 (02:14:01):
Run is over.
Speaker 4 (02:14:02):
Yeah, well I say that, you know, uh, because he's
in jail. Well, you know, because remember the cult leaders
what they always do whenever you saw this with Koresh
back to that again and many before them. What was
his name out there, kool aid guy? Oh yeah, Jim Jones,
Jim Jones. They when when when the law starts bearing
down on them, they always tell you this is what
(02:14:24):
I told you. They persecute me, you know, they're they're
the world coming after me, the leader. But but there
has to be just like I say, so many things
that you you hear that you're like, yeah, yeah, how
about I mean, can we can we get a miracle
from you? You know some something, right, Yeah, we all
packed up, moved to the middle of the jungle, right,
(02:14:45):
you know, with Jim Jones.
Speaker 3 (02:14:46):
I bet that was a great life, right right, you know.
So then we kool aid and where we went? Right here?
Speaker 9 (02:14:53):
I see that he said in twenty two thousand and
two he said, I am not God. It's a mistake
to see Jesus as God. But I am the living
Word of God, the Father. Everything that God wants to say,
he says through me. I know that's a lie because
later in the article it says veganism is enforced amongst
the commune.
Speaker 3 (02:15:11):
There you go.
Speaker 4 (02:15:13):
Yeah, Jesus, this is that thing again, matter of fact,
and it's been such a gruesome story. It really doesn't
belong on strange encounters. You know, this guy that murdered
a pastor and put him up like he was crucified,
And has anybody seen the interview with this fact, I
tell you if you don't believe in demon possession.
Speaker 3 (02:15:33):
And why did he kill these people?
Speaker 4 (02:15:37):
He claims he's doing the work of God because these
people needed to be killed because they claim.
Speaker 3 (02:15:41):
That Jesus was God. And he said that violates the
first Commandment.
Speaker 4 (02:15:47):
Probably let's face it, someone that needed a little more
studying an understanding of the trendy, needed to understand.
Speaker 3 (02:15:54):
The trenity a little better.
Speaker 4 (02:15:56):
But he u and he was going to go murder
as many pastors as he could. That breaks that Jesus
is God. And he had them all in a crucifixion
set up in the rooms in which he killed them.
Speaker 3 (02:16:12):
He'll be right back.
Speaker 1 (02:16:13):
This is the Rick Burgess Show. It's like eating lunch
at the cool Table, the Rick Burgess Show.
Speaker 4 (02:16:36):
Thanks for being with us today, America. Enjoy hanging out.

events Ladies, get your tickets and go enjoy hearing Sherry
speaking of men and women.
Speaker 3 (02:17:54):
The Bachelor.
Speaker 4 (02:17:55):
So the Bachelor has been a TV icon. People were nervous,
Bachelor Nation was nervous. No mention of a new season
of The Bachelor. When ABC did their rollouts in May
had people concerned. Didn't see any any talk.
Speaker 3 (02:18:16):
Of The Bachelor.
Speaker 4 (02:18:18):
Apparently, and I've never seen this. They said that the
thing the only thing that is more trashy than The
Bachelor is the spin off Bachelor in Paradise. Oh yeah,
it's another level, right, so and and and they refer
to this as a showrunner.
Speaker 3 (02:18:39):
Is that what that's called? Now it's going to have
a new showrunner. What is a show run?
Speaker 8 (02:18:43):
Guess that runs the show?
Speaker 3 (02:18:44):
Yeah? Yeah, you know what, Scott Teddy or something like
that makes sense? All right.
Speaker 4 (02:18:49):
They're saying that they said that Claire Freeland and Bennett
I don't know I say his last name, they exited
as showrunners in March fallow accusations that they fostered a
toxic work environment. Do you realize how bad you have
to be to be accused of making The Bachelor or
(02:19:10):
Bachelor in Paradise a toxic working environment?
Speaker 3 (02:19:12):
Wow? The whole thing's toxic. I mean, I mean both
of them.
Speaker 1 (02:19:17):
This show.
Speaker 4 (02:19:18):
If you can believe this has been this will be
the thirtieth season.
Speaker 14 (02:19:24):
Wow.
Speaker 4 (02:19:25):
So they have announced that it will come back. The
premiere date who's going to be in it will be
announced at.
Speaker 3 (02:19:33):
A later date.
Speaker 4 (02:19:35):
But because they had to fire these people and get
new showrunners, they're saying that's why it was not announced
in May. But for those of you out there in
Bachelor world, The Bachelor is coming back thirty seasons, and
this show, to me, I like to investigate its intrigue
(02:19:57):
because to me, it seems one of those shows that
once you've seen it, it's is it still intriguing just
to watch different people do the same thing over and
over again thirty times?
Speaker 3 (02:20:11):
Okay?
Speaker 4 (02:20:11):
Because it's the same thing every time, right, and it
pretty much has the same Yeah, there's very little uniqueness
season to season.
Speaker 3 (02:20:20):
Shocking ending, oh shocking every time everything I do. I do.
Speaker 4 (02:20:28):
Think when they tried the let's let old people do it,
I know that's still around. I know they pretended people
like that, but nobody really did. They just don't want
to say it. A couple of rounds of things. I
don't think anybody wants to see that we have, and
I'm a person in that age bracket.
Speaker 3 (02:20:44):
I don't think anybody wants to see that we have
a new Golden Bachelor. Rick mel Owens, he is sixty six,
but says he's going to cut any woman older than sixty,
So if you're older in sixty that you might as
well not even sign up. From where is this? It's
another story that we have ab his new Golden Bachelor
male Owens has a cutoff age revealing any female contestant
(02:21:05):
at age fifty or over will be k.
Speaker 8 (02:21:07):
Here's no Jerry. I'll tell you that he's no Jerry.
Speaker 3 (02:21:10):
Did you remember Jerry? Does that not make you uncomfortable? First?
Speaker 8 (02:21:13):
So, Jerry, I had that joke about Golden Bachler. I
watched a few episodes with my wife.
Speaker 3 (02:21:17):
It was horrible.
Speaker 8 (02:21:18):
I couldn't stop watching it.
Speaker 3 (02:21:19):
I know, Jerry, Gary whatever.
Speaker 9 (02:21:22):
Gary was seventy two. So they went with a little
bit younger Golden Bachelor. He used to play in the
NFL are. You're familiar with mel Owens?
Speaker 3 (02:21:32):
Yeah, yeah, name's familiar.
Speaker 5 (02:21:33):
Here he is?
Speaker 3 (02:21:34):
Yeah, wait a minute, you don't know him, that's mal Owen.
I don't know him.
Speaker 9 (02:21:38):
I do.
Speaker 3 (02:21:38):
I knew that name was familiar.
Speaker 9 (02:21:40):
He Uh, he's got a familiar looking face. Honestly, look
you recognize that guy?
Speaker 1 (02:21:45):
Male?
Speaker 3 (02:21:45):
I know, I don't recogonize.
Speaker 8 (02:21:47):
Okay.
Speaker 4 (02:21:47):
So Male said if you're over sixty year out, Yeah
all right, now he's over sixty and that's fine. They're
saying that in February, which I didn't know. The Bachelor
Nation already had a shakeup because the bachelorette that normally
what air during the summer did not air no summer season.
Speaker 3 (02:22:05):
I ain't that that's right.
Speaker 8 (02:22:06):
That's why I've felt so off this all summer.
Speaker 4 (02:22:09):
You know, who would have thought there wouldn't be as
much intrigued to watch a woman make out with several men.
Speaker 3 (02:22:14):
One after another. They're in love?
Speaker 4 (02:22:17):
Well, Greg, when I was going up, there was a
different word for it. But when they're in love, when
I mean and the person is with like you said,
twenty people kiss her. Are you telling me people can't
get in a meaningful relationship in six weeks with total strangers.
Speaker 3 (02:22:34):
What I just but they put look, they put them.
I can't watch that. They put them in there, they
let them kno back a lot of wine, and they
roll the cameras. Oh yeah, so.
Speaker 8 (02:22:44):
They manipulate them emotionally.
Speaker 3 (02:22:47):
It's all it's all crazy, you know, I really, you know,
dealing with secondhand in uncomfortable situations. I can't watch things
like this. I really, I really enjoy it because I
see all struggle with it, even though even though it's
a you know, it's one of those things where Adler
you know, claims I hate it, but I love it,
kind of like you just talked about but I can't
(02:23:10):
get near it. Well, there's no way I could get
them to let Tammy be.
Speaker 4 (02:23:14):
Then I know I'm melting, But I looked like a
trash heap. You keep coming up from the Fragle Rock.
I didn't even know I Fragle Rot was still a yeah,
I don't know, all right. So the last season, they
(02:23:36):
said which ended in February, it was maybe the end
of February.
Speaker 3 (02:23:40):
It was in February.
Speaker 4 (02:23:41):
It was raked as the lowest rated Bachelor, down twenty
five percent. Which one was that the last one? The
very last one that did a Bachelor.
Speaker 3 (02:23:50):
You got to text your buddy Jesse Palmer about this
from Jesse's all.
Speaker 4 (02:23:54):
But but I think that most things is the reason why,
the reason why, it's the reason why it's getting a
probably another run anyway, even though it's down twenty five percent.
Speaker 3 (02:24:04):
Is in the world we're living in now that that
one time that would have been considered disaster.
Speaker 4 (02:24:09):
But now all of us are realizing in the entertainment
world that you all have so many more choices. Just
because you're not staying with any show as long as
you once did, isn't because you don't like the show.
It's because you have so many other things to do,
so you don't spend as much time as you did
it one time.
Speaker 3 (02:24:29):
You know, you can move on to that show.
Speaker 4 (02:24:30):
Where they meet each other and have to get married immediately,
and what's that yeah, or that one. There's thousands of it.
But what I'm saying, there was a time if you
did radio and TV, there were so few other choices
you had them. You really didn't lose your audience to anything.
And for there just wasn't anywhere really to go. But
(02:24:52):
now if someone just decides it's a commercial break and
I want to scroll my Instagram. Before they know it,
they scrolling it for twenty minutes and they didn't dislike
what they were listening to or watching.
Speaker 3 (02:25:04):
They just haven't got back to it yet. Yeah, you know,
so it's a it's a.
Speaker 4 (02:25:07):
Whole different the way you know, audience is measured and
all that. It's a whole different thing now.
Speaker 3 (02:25:13):
Yeah.
Speaker 4 (02:25:14):
And you know we were talking earlier about the swimming
thing that you know, University of Pennsylvania, what they did
you do realize you remember the bachelor guy that was
on their forever that got fired because what he defended
the girl about Annabellum, Yes, about the about something she
did when she was in college. Yeah, pictures, pictures of
them and the old Southern Bay. That happened right now.
(02:25:35):
I don't think. I think he's still on the show.
It's just the atmosphere is different. So it swung back
the other way. Oh, you're right, You're right, right, Colleen,
So yards how ridiculous that was what they did to him.
I mean, that was ridiculous.
Speaker 3 (02:25:47):
Yeah.
Speaker 4 (02:25:48):
All he did was say, I don't think you declare
her a racist because she did something that sororities have
been doing for.
Speaker 3 (02:25:54):
A decade time. Nobody was offended by it, and it
is what he basically said.
Speaker 4 (02:25:57):
And just because you wore something that would have been
historically correct for a time period doesn't mean that you
were pro slavery basically.
Speaker 3 (02:26:05):
I always say that.
Speaker 10 (02:26:06):
I know.
Speaker 3 (02:26:07):
I mean they had to get rid of Oh yeah,
I kind of hope we don't go back all that
I did. Hey, man, it's been nice about it. They
really we'll be back more of the show coming up. Well,
what's chappen with you again?
Speaker 9 (02:26:22):
Too?
Speaker 4 (02:26:22):
Before the day is done, find out everything you could
possibly want to know about all the different ways to
get this show.
Speaker 3 (02:26:29):
By going to Rick burgesshow dot com. Oh, by the way, including.
Speaker 1 (02:26:32):
Merch this is the Rick Burgers Show, only in America.
Could these four men do this for Alva? God bless America.
(02:26:56):
This is the Burger Show.
Speaker 4 (02:27:01):
Here we go, America. Thanks for being with us today,
and don't forget anything you missed. Catch you marchives. Yeah,
I'm the podcast or the YouTube channel.
Speaker 3 (02:27:10):
Wednesday.
Speaker 4 (02:27:10):
Bible Study is back today noon Central, one o'clock Eastern
walking through the Book of job in today. The podcast
and archive archive in the YouTube archive of that will
also be available not long after if you can't.
Speaker 3 (02:27:25):
Catch the live option.
Speaker 4 (02:27:26):
So this is a great idea from text Nation. I'm
in a great one. I'm a little behind. Sorry, I'm
chasing the show. I missed the part when y'all talked
about what would be other good Trump merchandise items, and
you are correct, texture he should sell Gulf of America
beach gear, beach towels, umbrellas, Golf of America.
Speaker 3 (02:27:50):
Those would be huge.
Speaker 4 (02:27:53):
Golf of America had on right, but pictured beach where now,
I will say this, at the Trump store, they do
have that. Let's see do they have they have Gulf
of America beach toles?
Speaker 3 (02:28:02):
But I don't know. What about a beach ball, what
about a beach hat? Okay it doesn't say Gulf of America,
but it does count. Okay, that doesn't count.
Speaker 5 (02:28:12):
Have that.
Speaker 3 (02:28:12):
He just has Trump on it. But it's floaties and
everything that doesn't count.
Speaker 4 (02:28:16):
By the way, I will say this down at the
beach on I don't know if you those of you
that those are out there that go there, and that
guy who emailed early, that's where he's going.
Speaker 15 (02:28:25):
Uh.
Speaker 4 (02:28:26):
On thirty A that County road in Florida, there is
the biggest Trump banner I've ever seen.
Speaker 3 (02:28:33):
Really. I mean it's right there on thirty A two.
Speaker 4 (02:28:36):
And you know how some of these places they stack
like condos that are go up, not not giant building,
but maybe four high or something like that. And they, yeah,
there it is, and and they and they constantly have
something about Trump on that banner all the time.
Speaker 14 (02:28:53):
Uh.
Speaker 3 (02:28:53):
And and it's huge. It's gigantic. That picture doesn't even
tell you how big it is. It's a begging. It's
what three stories, doesn't it liked about three stories? Big?
Speaker 6 (02:29:01):
Yeah?
Speaker 10 (02:29:01):
Wow?
Speaker 8 (02:29:01):
Nice set up.
Speaker 4 (02:29:02):
Yeah, it is a sweet setup. They're also greg just
mentioned for the state of Alabama.
Speaker 3 (02:29:08):
Our home state.
Speaker 4 (02:29:09):
Maybe sad news, Uh there, Rick and Alabama lawmaker Yeah,
he wants to strengthen the state's prohibition.
Speaker 3 (02:29:16):
Of slap fighting.
Speaker 4 (02:29:17):
All right now, slap fighting it's a brutal contest that's
popular on YouTube and sanctioned by the state of the Vada.
Of course, so Alabama's gonna, of all, you can't do
it here, Rick, But it just seems like that ought.
Speaker 3 (02:29:29):
To be something the northeast should ban.
Speaker 4 (02:29:31):
California banning Alabama banning slap fighting just doesn't sound right.
Speaker 3 (02:29:35):
Look, here's the deal.
Speaker 4 (02:29:38):
No one's capturing these people and forcing them to slap fight.
They are They consider that to be their thing.
Speaker 3 (02:29:43):
They trained for it. Imagine training for that. I guess
you sent here and get slapped a lot. I don't know,
I have to you got tolerant, No, no, no, tolerant No.
Speaker 8 (02:29:52):
I would just make your chin weaker. You lose your
chin the more times you get.
Speaker 3 (02:29:57):
I don't think so.
Speaker 4 (02:29:57):
But anyway, well, you don't know what's gonna happen. You
don't spar what what?
Speaker 3 (02:30:01):
What what do you do? Senator Gerald?
Speaker 8 (02:30:03):
Help stand there? No, you just stand there and you
trade slash flap flat?
Speaker 3 (02:30:08):
How do you do training?
Speaker 8 (02:30:09):
You can't train about helmets. You just have drug addicts
and criminals doing this.
Speaker 3 (02:30:14):
What about a helmet? You know you can't wear a helmet.
Then you know you're talking about training, not in the
real match.
Speaker 8 (02:30:20):
Yeah, you can't train to get punched in the face.
Speaker 3 (02:30:23):
It's just yes they do. They get in there and
box right with with helmets.
Speaker 8 (02:30:27):
The more you get punched, asked Chuck Ladell.
Speaker 9 (02:30:30):
Guys, he used to be able to take punches throughout
his career, and he took too many punches, and your
your chin goes away.
Speaker 8 (02:30:35):
You get punched drunk, you lose your chin.
Speaker 4 (02:30:38):
Do they spar when they get ready for boxing? Do
they train hitting each other?
Speaker 3 (02:30:42):
Yes?
Speaker 4 (02:30:42):
Well what wouldn't you do the same thing here and
put some sort of head gear on?
Speaker 9 (02:30:46):
That can be detrimental, That can be so no sparring
in boxing. That's not what I'm saying, but it's you
have to be careful how much you spar You can
spire too much.
Speaker 3 (02:30:54):
And and sure I think the way that that that
brain gets rittled around in that skull if you do
that too much. Tadler's point, I would thank you. First
of all.
Speaker 4 (02:31:03):
I'm just saying there's going to be somebody to practice.
Talking about a short career. I mean, unless you unless
you're so strong you keep knocking everybody out the first
punch and they fall like trees y'all.
Speaker 1 (02:31:13):
Corner m HM's.
Speaker 8 (02:31:16):
Yeah, Yeah, they're throwing their their wrist in there a lot.
It's it's more of a punch, open hand, open handed punch.
Speaker 3 (02:31:22):
There's a lot of wrists in there, Adler.
Speaker 9 (02:31:24):
It's a sad thing, honestly, and as a freedom guy,
I think that you should be able to do it.
Speaker 8 (02:31:29):
I just wish it wasn't happening, you see what I'm saying.
Speaker 4 (02:31:32):
The spot, Yeah, yeah, I don't know how now now
there has been The Commission has received a few reports
of slap fighting events in Alabama over the last few years,
including one that was confirmed.
Speaker 3 (02:31:45):
Really so, I will tell you this.
Speaker 4 (02:31:49):
I saw slap fighting, you know, out by somebody's here
Tildy Building and things like that. Yeah, I mean, we'd
see who could take what's down there. Yeah, you know,
the anticipation. The thing I really hate, though, is there's
I don't know if you've heard, there's somebody's combined gamecock
fighting and slap fighting and the heat ofln't the face
with a rooster.
Speaker 1 (02:32:11):
So good.
Speaker 3 (02:32:13):
The anticipation of getting it would have to be tough,
oh terrible, and you know it's coming. They're kind of
doing you know the okay, let me get it right here,
get it right and you're just.
Speaker 4 (02:32:22):
Like, I'm just glad that our state is stepping up
to stop the thank you. This legislator is going far.
Speaker 8 (02:32:29):
That's so funny.
Speaker 3 (02:32:30):
A lot of things we he done and that is
definitely the top of the list.
Speaker 9 (02:32:33):
At one point, Alabama was the safe haven for mixed
martial arts that the UFC. Uh, they got like d
sanctioned or whatever. There's it's that's a huge part of
the UFC's history. Uh, the company was going bankrupt. They
had to fight lined up for I think Jersey, and
they pulled their they pulled their license to have the event.
So the UFC is like, we're going bankrupt, we got
to do where can we have this fight? And then
(02:32:55):
it happened in Dothan and that and Dothan, Alabama is
part of saving the UFC.
Speaker 8 (02:33:00):
It's why we have the UFC today.
Speaker 3 (02:33:02):
Way to go.
Speaker 4 (02:33:02):
Dothan in one O three nine. So well, y'all remember
Kyle Maynard when he beat me up. He was training
for m m A and he said it had to come.
This was one of the few places it was actually
legal because it was coming up, you know, at the time.
And uh from the text Nation, if this goes through
I live in Alabama, I hope they tell my wife
about it.
Speaker 3 (02:33:21):
That's funny knowing what you know about Cayn. Now, Greg,
did you wrestle him again? I got probably a different
move I'd try. Really, Yeah, I learned a lot. He
just seemed to always have the answer whatever I learned.
Speaker 4 (02:33:33):
Do you think you could take Kyl Maynard again?
Speaker 5 (02:33:35):
Now?
Speaker 3 (02:33:35):
How it feels and everything?
Speaker 4 (02:33:37):
I think that you were a little bit thrown off
by the fact that you to somebody with no arms
and no legs the first two.
Speaker 3 (02:33:43):
I was the third one. I was getting after it.
You went hard and oh yeah, he wished well, he said,
about to give us everything I got. Yeah, I got
clobed in the back. Yeah, with enough. You were tapping
out with intense days, a mash of my whimpipe flat.
You couldn't swallow for a week. No, it hurt. Mayors
were bruised, right, That is exactly what I'm suggesting, Text Nation,
(02:34:03):
But uh so so would you stand there unless what
did you do this?
Speaker 10 (02:34:11):
Right?
Speaker 12 (02:34:12):
No?
Speaker 3 (02:34:13):
That's why? What's what's the situation?
Speaker 5 (02:34:16):
Guys?
Speaker 3 (02:34:16):
I mean this doesn't even make it.
Speaker 4 (02:34:18):
Am I just doing it recreationally? Is it some sort
of day or what's happened y'all?
Speaker 8 (02:34:22):
The amount of dust that flies off these people's faces?
Speaker 3 (02:34:25):
How much do you get paid?
Speaker 16 (02:34:26):
Like?
Speaker 3 (02:34:27):
What's the person on this? It's like naked and afraid.
You get paid enough to do that.
Speaker 8 (02:34:31):
Now you don't get paid.
Speaker 4 (02:34:32):
Enough to do the game I talked about where you
measure from their face and you just punt. You can't
draw back. I remember we did this a little more,
We did that a lot. Yeah, that is not bad,
but this is here.
Speaker 1 (02:34:43):
Wow.
Speaker 4 (02:34:44):
Well, the thing is what's to me? Every time I
sell first is big. That's what it's about to say
what I want those. The worst thing is if you
go first and the person just looks at your winks.
Speaker 3 (02:34:52):
Oh and they showed you, and you're like, that's my turn.
You know I've seen something. I didn't pull it off?
Speaker 6 (02:34:59):
Yeah?
Speaker 3 (02:35:00):
Oh no argument, Oh no no no no yeah uh.
Speaker 9 (02:35:05):
It looks like the biggest winner in power slap history,
which is Dana White's slap fighting. Yes, it was forty
five thousand dollars the winner the.
Speaker 8 (02:35:18):
Season one.
Speaker 3 (02:35:20):
Yeah winner, did you say forty five forty five?
Speaker 12 (02:35:23):
Oh?
Speaker 3 (02:35:23):
I got a win though, Yeah, I just get slashed.
Speaker 9 (02:35:26):
So everybody else that traded concussions got last. We got
less than that you can expect between the round twelve
to fifteen k per fight.
Speaker 3 (02:35:35):
So I don't know about with all the high round
head injuries and all that. The fact that this exists
is amazing. It's amazing. It's like we did all the
research on head injuries and then totally disregarded.
Speaker 8 (02:35:48):
And they get free cigarettes to the winners.
Speaker 3 (02:35:53):
This might have been what Chris was doing in the
in the.
Speaker 1 (02:35:58):
This is the Rick Bird Your show. You better listen up.
You know what we say.
Speaker 8 (02:36:18):
Loss.
Speaker 3 (02:36:18):
I'm gonna tell you gotta find.
Speaker 1 (02:36:26):
The voice of reason in an unreasonable world. The Rick
Burgess Show.
Speaker 20 (02:36:35):
Thank you for being with us today, America, as we
roll into a brand new hour, chatting with you before
the hour's done, for sure, that number eight day eight,
the number six Big box.
Speaker 4 (02:36:49):
You can text us on the same line. Thank you
text Nation, thank you tubers, thank you our God.
Speaker 3 (02:36:55):
Listeners, and thanks to all of you that are joining.
Speaker 11 (02:36:57):
Us live.
Speaker 3 (02:37:00):
Live our God, we'll take you. Glad you're here.
Speaker 4 (02:37:04):
Okay, so we do have a good bet to cover
this hour. Let's go ahead and go to what we
were just talking about in the break, involving Keith Urban.
You know Keith Urban. Uh, you know, very talented fella
and really you know, this is one of those questions
that we all have wondered.
Speaker 3 (02:37:23):
Okay.
Speaker 4 (02:37:25):
Now, apparently Keith Urban did not want to answer this
question and did not want to be asked this question.
Speaker 3 (02:37:31):
Uh, and is this a radio show? He hangs up on. Yeah,
this is Curtis's podcast. Is Australia's Mixed one O two
point three? Okay, there in the morning. So yeah, he
had a he had a scheduled interview and I think
it was Zoom or something like that.
Speaker 4 (02:37:45):
And he's on with some Australians. He's Australian, right, everybody's
gonna yuck it up. They think they think they they
think we're gonna laugh.
Speaker 6 (02:37:54):
Uh.
Speaker 4 (02:37:55):
They asked him a question. We won't tell you what
it is, we'll let you hear it live. It's a
question that I think we've all pondered. Yeah, and he
doesn't like it.
Speaker 5 (02:38:03):
Now.
Speaker 4 (02:38:04):
This was the opening question to the interview. Ah, that's
the way it's set up, okay, And and then and
then Keith Urban hangs up on mix whatever it was, Yeah,
Mix one O two point three.
Speaker 14 (02:38:17):
The first thing I thought of, with your beautiful wife
Nicole Kidman being on so many great movies, TV shows
all the time, I watched the movie with her and
zac Efron recently, Family Affair, and I thought, what does
Keith Urban think when he sees his beautiful wife with
beautiful younger men like zac Efron having these beautiful love
(02:38:39):
scenes on TV and radio?
Speaker 4 (02:38:44):
Oh?
Speaker 3 (02:38:44):
Why has that happened?
Speaker 1 (02:38:46):
What's just happened to here?
Speaker 3 (02:38:47):
He's disconnected from zoom? Did he just hang up on off?
Speaker 1 (02:38:50):
I think his team hang up.
Speaker 3 (02:38:52):
And off because they didn't want us to ask that question?
Are they okay?
Speaker 4 (02:39:00):
You're all straight? And actually, by the ways, fantastic to
look at him, look at his body, look at Swedis's
body language. He's widing up for first of all, I mean,
we can tell, but you don't.
Speaker 3 (02:39:12):
I mean, you don't know. That's that's a tough question
to ask. Huh, But it sounded like to me, it
sounded like to me. Listen to the guy at the end,
I don't think they wanted to ask it.
Speaker 14 (02:39:26):
The first thing I thought. The first thing I thought of.
Speaker 4 (02:39:29):
When you do that, I can almost smell the Barbie.
Speaker 14 (02:39:31):
Zach having these beautiful love scenes on TV and radio.
Speaker 3 (02:39:36):
Listen to this guy coming in here? Oh, why has
that happened? What's just happened to you? He's disconnected from zoom?
Did he just hang up? I think his team hang
up on because they didn't want us to ask that question.
Speaker 4 (02:39:49):
His team hung up on us because they didn't want
us to ask that question. Do you think they were
told not to ask it?
Speaker 3 (02:39:54):
That's what I'm wondering. Or do you think that they're
just assuming that now? Well tough to know. I would
love to know the nature of the interview and we
have the story something, but it's like, why would you
even really go there?
Speaker 13 (02:40:08):
You know?
Speaker 3 (02:40:08):
Yeah, it's just a very it's an uncomfortable question. Do
you think it's a hanging up question? I don't think so.
I don't unless they said on that don't ask about
his wife. They might. That might have been part of
the interview.
Speaker 4 (02:40:20):
But you heard you didn't you didn't we trouble dealing
with it, didn't we?
Speaker 5 (02:40:24):
Hear?
Speaker 4 (02:40:24):
Keith they'll go, yeah, that's a good one. That was somebody, sure,
I think, are you sure?
Speaker 14 (02:40:31):
I think it was Keith with your beautiful these TV
shows all the time. I watched the movie with her
and Zach Effron recently, Family Affair, and I thought.
Speaker 3 (02:40:43):
That all right.
Speaker 9 (02:40:45):
A source tells People magazine that, despite the slew of
headlines surrounding the incident, uh, he does not host his
own Zoom meetings.
Speaker 8 (02:40:53):
He did not hang up this team.
Speaker 5 (02:40:56):
Team.
Speaker 3 (02:40:56):
You heard that guy say.
Speaker 4 (02:40:57):
I thought he's team home a question. I believe our
team believe he said his team.
Speaker 3 (02:41:05):
Keith Urban think what is Keith?
Speaker 8 (02:41:08):
How about that?
Speaker 3 (02:41:08):
Is that better?
Speaker 14 (02:41:10):
And he sees his beautiful wife.
Speaker 3 (02:41:12):
He sees his beautiful wife, beautiful.
Speaker 14 (02:41:18):
Younger man like Zach Effron having these beautiful love.
Speaker 3 (02:41:22):
Scenes scenes and radio. Why has that happened? He's disconnected
from Zoom. I think his team his team because they
didn't want us to ask that question. They didn't want
to ask that didn't want to to ask that question.
Speaker 4 (02:41:41):
You know when when he called us that day, by mistake,
it was him and witness team. I guess that's before
he got a team, right, remember, Yeah, yeah, he called
us because he got mixed up on what number?
Speaker 3 (02:41:55):
You remember? He said, oh, and then he called us back.
Speaker 4 (02:41:57):
Mm hmm, not his team. So it is a question
in that day, the same question to me. I do
think even though the team didn't like it, apparently team's
not happy. But I understand what you're saying, Greg, We
have all I mean, I've even discussed it with my
own wife before, like, can you imagine, like I think
(02:42:19):
I would struggle, you know, And I know some people
are saying, well, I mean, it's just all professional. And
of course we made the joke for many years back
on the Rick and Bubba Show. It's funny how everybody
talks about it's just professional. But there's an alarming number
of people who do love scenes together that end up dating,
end up leaving whoever they're with and going with that person.
(02:42:40):
Even though a lot of those don't work out, it
does happen. So I think we pretend, I mean acting.
I understand. Then you hear all this stuff where there's
people standing around. There's nothing romantic about these scenes.
Speaker 3 (02:42:50):
But when.
Speaker 4 (02:42:53):
When you're naked, are half naked and you're rolling around
on each other, I mean, there's just certain things that
no one can stop, uh, and it's just not a
good thing.
Speaker 3 (02:43:03):
I mean, you think one thing kind of money they
bring in every fine me. But I do.
Speaker 4 (02:43:09):
I just think if you really love someone and you're
truly devoted to someone watching that, I don't care how
many things you tell yourself, there's no way.
Speaker 3 (02:43:19):
It can't be uncomfortable and different. There's just no way.
Speaker 4 (02:43:24):
And so I understand the question. You remember we had
the actor Neil is it McDonald or whatever McDonald who
was just in the movie that Angel Studios put out.
You remember he said that's why he has to play
a lot of villains because he he didn't want to
do love scenes, and so he goes to the villains,
usually not in a lot of love.
Speaker 3 (02:43:41):
Yeah, that was a good That was a good good villain.
And then you know there have been something one Yellstone
and actresses that say won't do them a lot and
a lot of them, you know, don't work as much
or don't get some of these roles. But you know,
I think, I don't think you have to do that
to make a living as an actor or an actress.
Speaker 4 (02:44:01):
And and if you can get enough clout you can
just say, look, I'll do the movie, but I'm not
doing that scene, you gotta do that another you could
just and they and you do realize they always can
just show us people walking into a room, shutting the door,
people you know, fully clothed, and then they start like
(02:44:26):
increasing the situation and then this go to the next
scene and everybody goes, Okay, we know what happened there.
Speaker 14 (02:44:32):
Yes, right.
Speaker 4 (02:44:33):
The reason why they show it is because they know
most people will sit and watch soft porn and and
they don't do it because it's necessary to the story.
Speaker 3 (02:44:41):
That's hogwatch.
Speaker 4 (02:44:42):
Now you could you can tell the story and and
insinuate this happening, and we all go, okay, note to
self that that part's in the story.
Speaker 9 (02:44:50):
Now.
Speaker 4 (02:44:51):
They show it because they they they know that it
brings people in to watch things that they wouldn't normally watch.
Speaker 9 (02:44:58):
Yeah, and you can you can show you can cut
away and and have a like a gunshot ring out
and we get the idea, you know what I mean,
Like you don't have to slow motion show the bullet
following the bullet through the person's brain like.
Speaker 3 (02:45:13):
On eyes and splattering on the back of the harriet
all for the story.
Speaker 4 (02:45:17):
In fact, No, so this stuff's not done for the
good of the story it's done for I think it's
hard to play to the car wreck mentality that people have.
Speaker 3 (02:45:27):
It's right, so anyway, I think.
Speaker 4 (02:45:31):
That hung off.
Speaker 8 (02:45:33):
You need to just work on one word or.
Speaker 3 (02:45:36):
Maybe I think you hug up.
Speaker 4 (02:45:40):
Now Now you're Katherine Heppard and Golden Good.
Speaker 1 (02:45:44):
This is the Rick Burgess Show, doing what he was
foring to do, the Rick budget Show. We're back.
Speaker 3 (02:46:07):
Thank you for being with US America.
Speaker 4 (02:46:09):
So breaking news on Sean Diddy Combs if you're listening live.
Apparently the jury has reached a verdict. We're getting the
tells he is guilty on two counts, but we don't
know which counts those are. So Speedy's researching that. Though
some of you may be seeing it and hearing it,
(02:46:31):
we can't, but we're looking for it. I know there
were multiple counts in the most severe is the racketeering
and trafficking. He has found guilty. Watch what heccount. I
think they said he's found guilty on that. Combs found
guilty on two counts, and then the next little deal
they put up they said something about the sex trafficking charge.
(02:46:53):
But as soon as I looked up there and went
back to.
Speaker 9 (02:46:55):
That, all right from what I can see here, Sean
Diddy Combs was acquitted of sex trafficking and racket cours
anything okay, uh, sex trafficking and racketeering, and he was
convicted of prostitution of the prostitution offense.
Speaker 4 (02:47:07):
So the one that would have put him in prison
the longest he's acquitted of. Yeah, the others will will
come with trouble, but not not the not the severe
trouble that that charge that he did not is not
going to face, which was the worst.
Speaker 3 (02:47:23):
And you can at any time gip my computer. I've
got Fox News rolling if we need any information on it.
But it sounds like y'all got its.
Speaker 12 (02:47:31):
Found Sean Ditty Combe's guilty of transportation to engage in
prostitution and also to argue these charges, prosecutors called mail
escorts to the witness stand who testified about how did
he paid them, in some cases hundreds to thousands of
dollars to have sex with Cassie and ten. And at
(02:47:56):
this point, right now we have we can see from
this verdict sheet that Diddy has been found guilty on
count three and count five. He has been found not
guilty on the most serious charge rocketeering conspiracy. He's been
found not guilty on count two and count four. Those
are the sex trafficking counts. The only counts he has
(02:48:18):
been found guilty of are the transportation to engage in prostitution.
Speaker 3 (02:48:23):
And I want to so that's so that that that
tells you right there, that's it. Yeah.
Speaker 9 (02:48:27):
So uh so Rico not guilty. Yeah, uh, trafficking not guilty,
transportation guilty, and traf not guilty, transportation guilty.
Speaker 3 (02:48:40):
So there you go.
Speaker 4 (02:48:42):
So, uh, he's not going to face the worst penalty. Uh,
he will be in some sort of trouble. But the
if you're gonna be guilty of these five charges, the
two that that you were, if you if you were
going to be guilty of some of them, he probably
worked out the best for him, is it?
Speaker 3 (02:48:59):
Goold? Yeah? And of course they'll be uproar about that.
Oh yeah yeah. So so there you go.
Speaker 4 (02:49:05):
There's your update on that kind of staying in this vein,
but of criminal charges. So people I noticed there was
Henry Ruggs. Do you remember Henry Roads?
Speaker 3 (02:49:15):
Yeah?
Speaker 4 (02:49:16):
Yeah, played for Alabama standout, was doing well for the Raiders. Yeah,
first round penguin. Yep, he has a serving a three
to ten year prison sentence for a d UI crash
that sadly resulted in a fatality. He is up for
parole the earliest August fifth of twenty twenty six, and
(02:49:41):
then of course a mandatory release date for parole consideration
in twenty twenty seven.
Speaker 3 (02:49:47):
So apparently.
Speaker 4 (02:49:49):
Something took place where he was that he continues to
train in prison, and there was an some event that
he was allowed to say something at even though he's
still incarcerating, and and he's saying that if he does
get paroled in twenty twenty six, which will be a
(02:50:10):
year from next month, he would he would like for
someone to still give him a chance to return to
the NFL. I wonder if he'll have any takers on that.
Speaker 3 (02:50:24):
M hmm.
Speaker 4 (02:50:25):
That of course still another year way. But you know
he's he's training in there. I mean, do you is
this the ways the UFL or right? But do you
know that this is one of those things where I mean,
the the NFL has won a lot of ball games,
and they've won a lot of championships. Not everybody on
the roster as a gentleman, are are a great person
(02:50:48):
or have an uncheckered past, but is this one of
those things since there was a fatality involved in it
to where you know, you're just kind of like that
may not allow it, you know, I don't know, Yeah,
he does it.
Speaker 3 (02:51:04):
Violate anything, I don't know, he said. He said, I
wish I could turn back the hand of time and
the family. I'm so sorry, and he went on to
talk about he was escaping from something, and then he
kind of walked that out a little bit. He said
he felt like at that time and I'm not that
man anymore, I was escaping from the pressure of being
the number twelve overall pick and it was just living
(02:51:27):
a life I shouldn't have lived. And he goes, I
would love to return to the to the football world,
and even to the Raiders if that was ever an opportunity.
He said that he's in a newfound spiritual space and
confident in who I am and what I can do,
and I'm sure I'll be ready. But he was really
apologizing again to the family, saying that I'm not that
(02:51:48):
man anymore.
Speaker 4 (02:51:49):
So well, let's hope, let's hope that is true. And
then the most important thing in his life has been
resolved again. As we all know, there's consequences, you know,
to the things we do on Earth while we're still
on Earth. And if you don't get it resolved in eternity,
they'll be waiting on you there too. But but that
(02:52:10):
that's I hope that's great for him no matter how
that turns out. But as you said, that one, that
one may be a difficult journey to find his way back.
Also an update on a couple of other things, as
we're kind of giving you updates on certain things. Paramount,
of course, that's who on CBS. They will be forced
(02:52:31):
to pay eight figures.
Speaker 3 (02:52:33):
This is the and change their editorial editorial policy.
Speaker 4 (02:52:39):
This is a settlement with President Trump. If you remember,
he sued them saying that they did an editorial that
made false accusations against him, which in an attempt to
damage him. And it says that Trump from Paramount is
going to get sixteen million dollars up front, covering legal fees,
cost of the case, contributions to his future presidential library,
(02:53:03):
or charitable causes to be used. At Trump's discretion, there
may be another allocation in the mid eight figures set
aside for advertisements. Public service announcements are similar transmissions to
support conservative causes by the network in the future, and
CBS will pay in excess of fifteen million dollars. You know,
(02:53:27):
ABC has already paid Trump to settle a defamation lawsuit,
so they are disputing the additional allocation. But you know,
he's he's winning these against some really big operations. And
if nothing else, maybe maybe it'll it'll spook and return
(02:53:48):
us back to journalism, not in doctrination and propaganda. If
he can accomplish that. Sometimes, if people they have to
be afraid of consequence just before they'll ever stop doing things.
And maybe we can just get back to these organizations
just giving us the news and letting us decide how
we feel about the facts as opposed to thinking you
(02:54:10):
have to be an arm of either political party. And
maybe maybe this will have impact. I don't know, but
he he is winning because they're proving that these were
just all out lives, all out lies.
Speaker 3 (02:54:22):
And to your point, Rick, if you're going to do
an interview, let people see the interview, don't edit it.
Speaker 8 (02:54:27):
Up deceptively editing.
Speaker 3 (02:54:31):

Go ahead, Yeah, ain't first of all, good morning, gentlemen,
henybody that morning real quick. I just wanted to say,
speaking of all the line that's going on, you gotta
look at a OC. She claims to shoot the Brooklyn
girl jump bust out, you know, saying that she didn't
even grow up there. So I just thought that was
(02:58:05):
kind of ironic and funny.
Speaker 3 (02:58:07):
Yeah, I saw that. Wait, well she's a wealthy family.
Speaker 4 (02:58:12):
School.
Speaker 3 (02:58:14):
Who is she? Vanilla? Remember her? He's from the streets.
Find out he was like Dallas when you're gonna leave
that zero and go with a hero? Welcome to the
War Show. On screen, phone calls go.
Speaker 18 (02:58:29):
This is Vicky from my rap. Okay called because I
need I need you all to be praying over.
Speaker 6 (02:58:38):
Something and and I need some backup.
Speaker 18 (02:58:41):
Okay, I'm I'm a big old girl. Now, I'm a
big girl. I understood, and a dollar I'm saying, but
I'm going on a big trip next month, and so
I'm having to get in shape. So this morning I
got up and I can only I can only walk
half a mile. You know, I'm a big old girl.
(02:59:02):
But I walked my half a mile. I came back.
I watered my ferns. But here's the big thing.
Speaker 5 (02:59:09):
I ate yogurt.
Speaker 18 (02:59:10):
Rick, I have eaten yogurt. Now, ordinarily I would not
eat yogurt because it's like pudding. It's sliming, a dish appreciated.
Speaker 5 (02:59:21):
I want.
Speaker 18 (02:59:22):
I don't want jello. I want no cream pie. I
need something that's called a little texture tossed in. So
my husband crunched up with granada bar. So not only
have I walked and exercise, but I've watered b one plants,
which usually talk him into done because.
Speaker 6 (02:59:38):
I'm too lazy.
Speaker 18 (02:59:39):
Because I'm a bigger girl, and I have a yogert
with grandola in it, I'm on fire in the morning.
Speaker 4 (02:59:50):
Up, Rick, I mean, if she keeps this up now,
and granted, if if we're going in a month from now,
maybe we should have started this last month, right, Yeah?
Speaker 6 (03:00:00):
We should don't Are we a radio?
Speaker 18 (03:00:04):
And I'm trying to ask for help, You're being negative.
Speaker 3 (03:00:08):
We're really gonna have to kick it in.
Speaker 4 (03:00:10):
I'm rooting for you, so we're gonna be praying for
you to drop a few and be able to handle
yogurt and granola.
Speaker 8 (03:00:17):
And yogurt and water.
Speaker 3 (03:00:20):
Water your own plants, water my own plants.
Speaker 18 (03:00:23):
I'm going to Scotland. Days, walk a lot of walking, walking,
Gotta walk for four miles a day. So fall out
over there in the Scotland.
Speaker 3 (03:00:38):
I don't want to do that.
Speaker 4 (03:00:39):
It's gonna be government. It's gonna be government run healthcare
for yeah, yeah, it.
Speaker 18 (03:00:46):
Would be by it. You know it will be by it.
So you'all got to put that on the prayer list
and pray over the walking, in the plants and the lemon.
Lemon is the only yogurt I can make without just
gagging and about.
Speaker 14 (03:00:59):
You.
Speaker 3 (03:01:00):
All right, thank you, Vicky. She's going to Scotland.
Speaker 4 (03:01:03):
Everybody, everybody, get on your prayer journal. Vicky, big girl
needs to get in shape for walking in Scotland. She's
got a month, she's got a month. Help get out.
She's doing a lot of cardios. She walked half a
mile and watered some ferns. That's how much as you
burn water in plane. Made some yogurt that she can stomach,
yogurt and granola and do better.
Speaker 8 (03:01:24):
Did she say how much she goes?
Speaker 3 (03:01:26):
She just said she's a big old girl. She said
big old girl several times, quoting her.
Speaker 4 (03:01:30):
That's if a woman. If a woman refers to herself
as big.
Speaker 3 (03:01:35):
Wow, big, yeah, that the best means she's normally big.
Speaker 11 (03:01:39):
Uh.
Speaker 3 (03:01:40):
She said she has to walk about four miles a
day when she's in Scotland. Correct, that's a lot.
Speaker 4 (03:01:46):
That's a lot different than the same pictures in Scotland.
I think there's a lot of heels here. You've been
to Scotland.
Speaker 3 (03:01:51):
I haven't. No Ireland. Sorry to scott I have too.
I can't believe Scotland you have.
Speaker 8 (03:01:58):
I have brave heart stuff everywhere. I wore killed the
whole time.
Speaker 3 (03:02:04):
Imagine that breezy oh yeah, imagine the interaction when she
lands Rick. Oh, that's gonna be a tough trip. S
queens in that chair. It does a communic communication break
down at all. Somebody's got to fly to Scotland. They're
not gonna forget.
Speaker 17 (03:02:17):
Well.
Speaker 3 (03:02:18):
But by then she might not be a big girl.
Speaker 4 (03:02:19):
And one, according to her, she might drop with a
very popular weight loss plan, walk half a mile water
ferns and eat yogurt, hell.
Speaker 3 (03:02:31):
With my.
Speaker 8 (03:02:39):
Get on some Oh.
Speaker 3 (03:02:45):
She might she's melting though, Greg, I like when Yeah,
Vicky's sweet? All right for you, Vicky.
Speaker 4 (03:02:51):
Rooting for you, Vicky rick Burgess show unscreen phone calls
go ahead, Hey, I.
Speaker 10 (03:02:57):
Was calling notes about TV earlier. The learning channel should
absolutely not.
Speaker 8 (03:03:01):
Be called the learning channel.
Speaker 3 (03:03:03):
Oh, you're right, you're one hundred percent right now you
do learn some stuff.
Speaker 4 (03:03:07):
Hey, Vicky, how you doing? Looks like you've dropped a
lot of weight. Man, only thirty days. You'll never guess
I did it. Walked half of my water, ferns and
eight lemon yogurt with granola.
Speaker 3 (03:03:16):
A miracle. Now, if that's all she'll eat, she'll get there.
She will drop it. That's gonna be happen. You know
that half miles is gonna turn into a mile. Yeah,
she's gonna get better. Two miles month, one step next month?
Speaker 8 (03:03:29):
Hey long month.
Speaker 3 (03:03:30):
Well you think eight pounds she lose?
Speaker 4 (03:03:33):
Yeah, I have guys, you ain't gonna have that flight.
I'm from the big community. Eight pounds is nothing. I mean,
we can when you're big. Eight pounds. That could just
happen on how it goes in the restroom.
Speaker 3 (03:03:46):
Okay, I mean twenty I think she could lose twenty five.
You have a need to are going into going to
That's what I'm thinking going now. If she would have
started two three months ago, maybe she might have to
water up. Maybe she's got a lot of I'm gonna
guess she's not gonna she's gonna eat more than lemon yogurt. Yeah,
and and all that. So you gotta watch that litle
motivated today? Yes?
Speaker 4 (03:04:06):
And did you just keep moving girl? You just you're
gonna be all right in thirty days. She get real discipline.
I think she could drop twenty Okay.
Speaker 3 (03:04:15):
Y'all ever have a conversation with yourself like you don't
need that?
Speaker 13 (03:04:18):
Yeah?
Speaker 3 (03:04:18):
No, I never have that. Huh No, It's like, no,
the reason you acting hungry is because you know your
body's used to a certain amount of calories. You're okay,
I'll have that conversation.
Speaker 1 (03:04:27):
You know what.
Speaker 8 (03:04:27):
While as I'm doing it, I go, what are you
doing right?
Speaker 10 (03:04:32):
Whow?
Speaker 4 (03:04:34):
Actually I see a hologram of trainer Sean.
Speaker 3 (03:04:36):
He goes, why you want to do it to you? So, yeah, okay,
that's whyston calories all that? I got one of those yesterday.
He just you know, it's not that bad, but I
mean it's meanless calories.
Speaker 10 (03:04:44):
And so I want it.
Speaker 4 (03:04:46):
But now let me throw this at you. Somebody just
hit I forgot all about it. Guys, Vicky's got to
face Friday, fourth of July.
Speaker 3 (03:04:52):
Oh Mick, Yeah, I'm sorry. Rough tough.
Speaker 4 (03:04:56):
Just so that's that's gonna be tough on anybody, even
if you didn't have a trip coming out.
Speaker 3 (03:05:00):
That's a tough day for big people. We don't do well.
Speaker 8 (03:05:03):
She's gonna end up looking like Joey Chestnut.
Speaker 3 (03:05:05):
Can you imagine? Can you imagine her walking that half mile?
Speaker 4 (03:05:09):
Can you imagine her walking that half mile smelling all
those people barbecue?
Speaker 3 (03:05:15):
Nobody can survive that. Ain't nothing like that barbecue blowing
in the wind.
Speaker 8 (03:05:19):
You hear me, kobe Yati this weekend, I'm calling it, guys.
Speaker 3 (03:05:25):
Yeah, we gotta pray for Vicky. Don't have that got out.
She wants us to pray for it. She's she needs strings.
You can do it, VICKI kobet.
Speaker 4 (03:05:31):
We don't need Vicky to end up in some Scotland hospital,
no fact.
Speaker 3 (03:05:35):
All right, we'll be right back. You have to add,
we'll be right back that was keep.
Speaker 1 (03:05:40):
This is the Rick Burgess Show. Go behind the scenes
(03:06:02):
of the Rick Burgess Show by watching Tales from the
camp House No on the Rick Burgess YouTube channel.
Speaker 3 (03:06:11):
If you haven't call it. Five episodes out there, go
behind the scenes down the old camp house. We're going
to new season out here at some point, but enjoy
the first season. Five episodes ready to go. All right,
So here's what I'm thinking. Speaking of content, Greg and
(03:06:33):
I were discussing this, Speete, I thank you a good idea.
I think you made a journey to the restroom. You
might have missed it.
Speaker 4 (03:06:38):
So we know that Larry Quest was a massive hit, right,
no denying that massive hit, Thank you, good work. Everybody
loved it. Ether what the numbers were huge on it,
right people, huge number, huge, huge numbers. So we know
that if we can throw a couple of those out there,
the audience really seems to like it. Now, you don't
(03:06:59):
need to get asperate and try things that. Yeah, you
don't have as much potential. You can't, you can't create
these things. But I'm afraid we just had man a
fall from heaven talking about Yeah, we now send Speedy
who follow this to Vicki's house where you will now
be your personal trainer.
Speaker 3 (03:07:17):
What and you will put it through workout.
Speaker 4 (03:07:19):
You will work with VICKI to get the weight off
for Scotland and you can put it through you know,
like you used to do with your son's work out one,
work out two, work out three?
Speaker 3 (03:07:28):
You got me?
Speaker 4 (03:07:29):
Yeah, yeah, you've got to stay there with them. Yeah,
probably probably just one or to what are we talking
a month?
Speaker 3 (03:07:37):
That's not that.
Speaker 4 (03:07:37):
I just go to work from there. And so you
you you you know, put her through. You be the train,
your help her, tell her, you know, personal true helper
with a nutrition.
Speaker 3 (03:07:49):
I'm not a nutritionist.
Speaker 9 (03:07:51):
It's only an hour and a half away. She lives
in arab so it's only an hour and a half away.
Speaker 3 (03:07:56):
And hope from that so that makes it even better.
I can help you around down if you want to
go idiot, I think your jogging right, So y'all got
me going jogging and a jug to be Vicky's personal trainer.
Speaker 4 (03:08:09):
She only has a month to get this run. I
want Vicky to enjoy her trip, so it's desperate.
Speaker 3 (03:08:15):
You need to do that. That's what y'all came up with.
I think it's fantastic. I think it's outstanding. You think
people can go crazy over that. You might even get
to go to Scotland.
Speaker 4 (03:08:25):
I don't know, you know, and we have we have
and we have scales, and Vicky gets the way and
we see her success and we encourage her.
Speaker 3 (03:08:33):
Yeah, we all.
Speaker 6 (03:08:35):
You know.
Speaker 4 (03:08:35):
It's one thing to pray for somebody, it's nothing to
go help them.
Speaker 3 (03:08:37):
That's right. I need to see a picture of Vicky
see what I'm dealing with. I get a kick out
of it. Well, Vicky said, send text nations, send a
picture of you and your husband right standing there, maybe
maybe jogging. Well, that big up put them down. Let
me tell you that person right there, pretty good person,
(03:08:59):
and walk for my a day in Scotland, right, move
it or lose it, you know. Sure?
Speaker 4 (03:09:03):
So I love her commitment to doing something about it.
She said that she's you know, this has been a
struggle for her. I mean she even said that watering
the ferns is a big deal because normally her words,
her words, that she's usually too lazy to do it,
gets her husband do it. I like she was screaming,
I hate yogurt, right, she was excited about that or
(03:09:25):
just thought and that was a big step I remember
the first time I ate Yogurtla You sure this is
in your area? Greg Gregson training people.
Speaker 3 (03:09:36):
Like big girls. If I could get me as far
as watching the shows one thousand pounds sisters, that's what
I mean. I hope this might be in your your groove,
you know, all right?
Speaker 4 (03:09:45):
Somebody, yeah, somebody asking this will be VICKI quest somebody's
also ground. Get you meet her out, okay, because you're
you're really good at this. And Text Nations asked about it,
and it's a legitimate question. Do you think that Vicky
is the genuine article?
Speaker 3 (03:10:03):
Is this someone doing? Is this a caller being a character?
Speaker 11 (03:10:06):
No?
Speaker 3 (03:10:07):
I think I think speaking she turns it up a
little and knows what we want from her. Okay, it's
a big, big sex. I think she she's more conscious
of it than some people.
Speaker 8 (03:10:17):
And he's chatting in our chat right now, so she's listening.
She's listening.
Speaker 3 (03:10:22):
Yes, Vicky sent us a pic.
Speaker 4 (03:10:24):
You can do it, Vicky, still cheering for you, Vicky,
what do you think about us sending Spindy Speedy to
not for a long time to live with you and
your husband?
Speaker 3 (03:10:33):
Wait? Waiting about a month? You got me living with them.
Speaker 8 (03:10:35):
For not long Yeah, for a long time, just for
a good time or not.
Speaker 1 (03:10:40):
You know, you know what I mean?
Speaker 19 (03:10:41):
You know what I mean?
Speaker 3 (03:10:43):
What does that mean?
Speaker 8 (03:10:44):
Yeah, that saying doesn't apply to what we were talking.
Text Nation.
Speaker 4 (03:10:49):
Listen to this, Listen to this title. Vicky Quest to
the Big One. That's good.
Speaker 8 (03:10:56):
Oh yeah, because your name's Vicky. There you go, Vicky
Quest two the Big One.
Speaker 3 (03:11:02):
Great. Come on, you think the numbers on Larry Quests
are big? They like nothing.
Speaker 8 (03:11:09):
Vicky Quest to the Lost World's from that's her.
Speaker 3 (03:11:12):
That's not that far. You're in Huntsville all the time.
That's not that far. That's right, it's not that forced.
You can do it. You can do it. What would
like Day one? What would you do?
Speaker 10 (03:11:24):
Walk?
Speaker 3 (03:11:26):
Yeah, we're gonna breathe. Yeah, we're gonna breathe and and
and stuff. Okay, we're probably gonna we're probably yeah, we're good.
Look at that child. Uh we're going to uh see
day one mm hmmm. We're probably gonna stretch a little.
We we got we gotta stretch, we gotta stre And
this is where me, not being a professional nutritionist, I
(03:11:49):
would need help with that.
Speaker 18 (03:11:52):
Her.
Speaker 3 (03:11:53):
Give her a protein. I don't know what to tell
her to eat. You don't know how to do nutrition? Yeah,
yeah I do, but I don't know her health conditions
or no, no's, but you can. You can get all
that information. She needs to be on her She needs
to be on on lean meats.
Speaker 4 (03:12:09):
Uh.
Speaker 3 (03:12:09):
She needs to be on fresh fruits.
Speaker 4 (03:12:12):
But watch out, not just any fruits, watch the sugar.
Speaker 3 (03:12:16):
I need Blake or Sean to send me what to do,
or you can take one of them with you could
or I could take you with me. I'll go you
want to, let's go, HG. You can talk to her
husband while I'm I'm training.
Speaker 4 (03:12:29):
Well, you're gonna do Greg give her a fritter because
she did good. Yeah, we're not sending you. We've got
a lot of fritters I can take. We're not gonna
send you. Uh no, Yeah, I think I think this
thing right here has a lot of potential.
Speaker 3 (03:12:41):
Yeah, it does.
Speaker 8 (03:12:41):
Vicky quest two.
Speaker 4 (03:12:43):
When when y'all really having fun with it? Well, you
know how it staration, aren't you when when you know
how you start? Did you say today, Vic, we're just
gonna move a little. Yeah, we're gonna move. She's already
been willing to keep, just keep moving right. I mean,
that's that's half the battle.
Speaker 3 (03:12:56):
Just keep moving.
Speaker 8 (03:12:57):
Viggie questions too fat, too furious?
Speaker 3 (03:13:02):
That one seemed that one seems a little hurtful.
Speaker 8 (03:13:04):
I'm just trying to think of like sequel names.
Speaker 4 (03:13:07):
For some reason, I've decided that calling it the big
one is not hurtful. But what you're doing is so
I recognize that it would take.
Speaker 3 (03:13:14):
Living with her, though. We have to do some morning
in the emails. So what what do you say you
ain't gotten by a month? What if you just went
up there and let's let's see, let's take you take
her through one workout and then we'll see how she does. Yeah,
because because she has me committed. If she's not committed,
you can't help. Y'all got me going to work Vicky out.
Speaker 4 (03:13:34):
What I'd like to do is go up to see
you mom and dad, and then shoot up to a
wrap take you can do a workout, get that old
document and bring it back forth.
Speaker 3 (03:13:40):
There you go, We'll cut out to spend the night
park right and that way.
Speaker 4 (03:13:44):
Then we'll check it and if the audience goes crazy
over of course we'll send you back.
Speaker 3 (03:13:48):
Huh So that I said?
Speaker 8 (03:13:53):
Email me Vicky Adler at rick Burgess.
Speaker 3 (03:13:56):
That way I can forward it to you speedy. Yep, yep. Well,
I'll tell you I got all the planning, don't you know?
It's great? I got all the planning. Then you get
in the truck. Ye see out tomorrow. See you ain't?
Speaker 1 (03:14:14):

Speaker 3 (03:14:14):

Speaker 1 (03:14:18):
Yeah.
Speaker 3 (03:14:19):
Yeah, there we go, Vicky, you call the right place. Look,
I'm I'm a strict coach, so he's gonna have to commit.
I'm going up there to play around, right.
Speaker 1 (03:14:30):
I think this is the Rick Burgess Show
