Speaker 1 (00:00):
All right, so we're back on the way cost presented
(00:02):
it by The Ring Magazine and folks, today's special day
number one because there's a massive announcement in the MMA
space that we have to talk about. But number two,
you boy just made his formal debut. Drum roll please, editor, Josh,
I just made my formal debut on The Ring Magazine
presents Inside the Ring. That is right way Plemmon's at
(00:25):
a desk with Andre Berto, Max Kellerman and Mike Coppinger.
Who knew that makes such a good panelist. But if
you haven't seen it yet, the full episode is not
even out yet to be fair, but make sure you
check out the full episode when it drops on Wednesday.
Very pumped about doing that big shout out to everybody
over there. But the big announcement, the big announcement, not
(00:47):
me on Inside the Ring, even though again check that
out on Wednesday. Is this MMA fight going down outside
of the UFC. I think you guys already know where
I'm going by the title of the video. Let's not
delay it. Bam Nate Diaz versus Mike Perry on MVP's
Netflix card, This MMA card that they are dropping. So
this is what the card looks like so far, and
(01:08):
I gotta admit, while I was skeptical at first, this
card is starting to heat up. Not because we're gonna
see the highest of high level fighting, not even because
this is a full on competitor to the UFC. But
what MVP and Netflix are doing is they are bringing
back the biggest names, the most recognizable names outside of
the UFC, and they're gonna do a massive number with
(01:31):
names you remember from the MMA space. They're getting you intrigued,
They're getting me intrigued. But I want to know how
the hell this happened, Brandon at the real BMFS. I
want to know how this went down. So we have
to break it down. What is going on with this
MVP Netflix card? How did they secure Nate Diz versus
Mike Perry When we all thought that Connor McGregor was
going to get the Nate ds fight International Fight Week
(01:53):
Now that seems to go away. We got to talk
about it all and this odd mystery announcement that Jake
Paul is teasing, what's going on with that and more?
The breakdown let's go, But before we get into the
breaking news, the thing that keeps me going to inside
the ring, driving to LA, driving back, filming this video
today and talking about MMA. It's the one and only

All right. So, like I said, Nate d As Mike
Perry two free agents in their own respect. Both have
done boxing over the last couple of years. Mike Perry's
(04:02):
done bare knuckle boxing. Both have boxed Jake Paul and lost,
but both obviously wanted to give it one more go
in MMA and both are still looking for a fight.
We thought that Na Diez was gonna be in there
with Connor McGregor, like I said International Fight Week, a
couple of weeks after the UFC White House card. That
seems like that's not gonna happen now. And in fact,
I don't know if Nadia is ever coming back to
(04:22):
the UFC now that this is announced, which is kind
of sad. But at the same time, it's like, all right,
Na go get your money, and this is not an
easy fight for Nadez Mike Perry, and also this is
gonna be one hundred and seventy pounds welter wait about
But also something I've noticed about this card. Every single
fight on the card is a five round fight. N
Dz Mike Perry five rounds, Francis and Ganu Phelipe LDZ
(04:43):
five rounds, Ronda Rausi Gina Carano in their return fight,
both of them pushing forty and fifty respectfully. Five round fight.
That's interesting, not something you see a lot. And I
don't know how it's gonna turn out. I don't know
how the gas tanks are gonna look for everybody. You're
not to say that we go five rounds and all this.
I think France is probably gonna smoke on that fully
lens Pack no offense, but this is a tough fight
(05:03):
right here. Nay and Mike again, are they in their primes? No?
Are they the highest level of walter weight MMA in
the world. No. Do we have to do the thing
where we try to compare this card to the UFC
White House Card. I mean, if we're gonna do it objectively,
the UFC White House card is better, no doubt about it.
Are these bigger names probably probably gonna do a number
because they're on Netflix. Yeah, but these fights are nowhere
(05:25):
near the quality of fights that we have on the
UFC's UFC White House card is stacked with top talent,
two championships on the line, and interim To be fair,
but still Shan O'Malley, Aiman's a beat hoofy chandler O
Nickel on the card. Random fight with Lopezan Garcia, but hey,
we'll take it. And then Alex Beajeda versus Syrill Gan
(05:47):
for the interim heavyweight title, and then obviously top to
All Roh versus Gaechee for the lightweight belt. This is
objectively the better car top to bottom, better fighters. I'd
say the name Vaut you of that card is still
massive too, But this doesn't have to be a competition,
at least not right now. MMA is not MVPs necessary forta.
But they are not just dipping their toe in. They're
going headfirst into these waters and this is a great
(06:10):
card for them. And people are like, I'd rather watch
this over that. You don't have to do that. You
can watch them both. We don't have to gate keep MMA.
That's the weirdest thing that some of these boxing people do,
is like gate keep who they'll watch and where they'll
watch it. Why don't we just watch if we want
to and not if we don't. And by the way,
I want to watch both these cards. I want to
watch this matchup and I want to know more about
(06:32):
how this fight got made. So let's check in with
Arielhwani because he always has both ears to headphones and
the ground. So I want to know how Jake and
Dakisa got this done. Because, as you guys probably know,
Jake Paul has been talking about him fighting MMA and
him fighting Nate Diaz in MMA. So if Jake put
that to the side, I know he's got the jaw
surgery and everything else. This probably closes the door on
(06:55):
that and this is probably going to be one of
Nate's last MMA fights. But let's take a look.
Speaker 2 (07:01):
Newest edition, the latest edition to the MVP MMA Netflix
card again May sixteenth, Live on Netflix, no pay per
view required into it, Dome, Inglewood, California, of course, the
one headline by Ronda Roussi versus Gina Crono. We already know.
I'll see Singha Nu against Philippe Lenz. It has been
(07:21):
at the.
Speaker 1 (07:21):
Way he pronounces France. It still kills me. I know
it's like the correct pronunciation in French, but it's like
fair play.
Speaker 2 (07:28):
I get it to a Frazzi that it is official.
The return to mixed martial arts for the beloved and
incomparable Nathan Diaz going up against platinum Mike Perry. One
hundred and seventy pounds, five round fight. That is real,
And it's not in bare knuckle and it's not in boxing.
(07:48):
It's in the discipline that we all want to see
them compete in, and that's mixed martial arts.
Speaker 1 (07:54):
I mean for Nate, sure, but Mike Perry. I'll watch
Mike Perry do bare knuckle over MMA every single day
of the week. Not because He's not a great MMA fighter.
It's just that's his calling the King of Violence, you
know what I mean, Like that's he was made for
that sport.
Speaker 2 (08:11):
But Nathan Diaz versus Mike Perry at one hundred and
seventy pounds has been added to this card on May sixteenth,
and I would say this is seventy minutes old. I
will say the response to be pretty damn great. Seems
to be like a lot of people are saying, wow,
this is fun, this is great, And of course there's
(08:31):
gonna be the comparison to the White House card into
the UFC product as I like, that's.
Speaker 1 (08:35):
We don't have to do that, though we don't have
to do that every time. Some I mean, I guess
it's part of of the nature of sports is like, oh,
team this team that you know, like, but why is
MMA fans can't we enjoy it?
Speaker 2 (08:47):
All?
Speaker 1 (08:47):
Right? If MVP is gonna make this a running thing
and get into MMA and provide an alternative even if
it's not fully fledged out yet. And again I'm not
saying that that it's competition to the UFC, because it
clearly isn't. They have six fighters essentially signed to MVP
for one card. They don't even have a roster yet,
they don't have a consistent broadcast partner. These are these
(09:10):
are things that you will need if you're gonna compete
with the UFC, and they're not on that level yet,
they're starting out. Why don't we just enjoy it for
what it is instead of being like, oh, oh better
than oh. If you think that and then the fights
turn out that way, then fair. You know, say your opinion.
But I just think we enjoy all this and recognize
it for what it is. A fun I don't want
(09:32):
to say called back card, but a fun card with
big names outside of the UFC that get a chance
to go in there and perform. What's wrong with that?
Speaker 2 (09:40):
It's fun, that's cool. You can do that all you want.
But all of a sudden, you're staring at a card
where it's Ronda versus Gina, it's Francis returning to m MA,
and it's Nate versus Mike. Whenever they do that press conference,
that first face off, it's gonna be x I mean,
it's gonna be bananas. It's gonna be absolutely insane. Those
two guys together have never they never been link. We've
(10:00):
heard them talk about each other. We've seen them circle
each other, but quite frankly, we've never really seen them
get even close to booked. To see them now actually
booked is very exciting. I think for a lot of people. Now,
I know what you're probably thinking.
Speaker 1 (10:15):
It is interesting because they you know, Mike had talked
about fighting Nay. I think ny and maybe said at
one time, but not something this kind of came out
of nowhere. I'll be honest, this is not something I expected.
I heard that Anderson Silva's name was being thrown around
as potentially doing this. I don't think Anderson's ever going
to do MMA ever again. He'll probably box, but I
don't think he's ever gonna be MMA fighting again. After
(10:36):
the leg breaks and just you know, old age like,
you can do that in boxing and get away with
that sport, but in MMA it is different, right, they'll
feed you to the wolves. You can't really do like
a grossover fight in MMA. It's going to have to
be a high level guy or a guy that's recognizable
because it's Anderson Silva in there. But these two fighting
each other, it was kind of out of nowhere. Mike
Perry had been relatively quiet usually that means something BIG's coming.
(10:58):
And as my guy man Perry, so good for him
and Nate. Like we said, we thought maybe it was
gonna be Mike Perry, Dylan Danis on Misfits, or maybe
Nate was gonna come over and do something and you know,
MAM's to talk to him. But I think this was
This is a solid move. It's here in La Nate's
got a massive California audience. Again, Netflix can be huge
(11:20):
for the sport. First MMA fight on Netflix, at least
as of right now. The card's not done, so they'll
probably the other ones, but just a fun card stack
with big names.
Speaker 2 (11:29):
And oh, you're working the card, You're bis, You're this,
you're that. All right, So let me bring in the guys.
Let me take the temperature of the room here, all right.
PT's here, GC Rick as always, PT. Let me go
to you first things first, Diaz Perry, what do you
say thoughts.
Speaker 3 (11:45):
I think it's great. I think it's the best way
in the card immediately. Yeah, I can't wait to see
these two guys in there and add something to the
card that it didn't have before. It's it's two relevant
goys right now fighting each other. I know Diaz. Obviously
people will say he's a bit long in the tooth maybe,
but for sure is he's an icon of this sport.
He's a guy that everybody wants to see. Mike Perry
has been completely rejuvenated through his outside the UFC activities.
(12:08):
We know that the UFC probably want into the night
das business right now. For Netflix to take them, to
take them to get him so into this card, it
kind of adds something to that kind of battlefront. We
keep talking about Dana against the boxing world, Netflix potentially
being the person to take them on the NMA world.
I think it adds sandwich to the card, and I
(12:30):
don't think I think a lot of people are.
Speaker 1 (12:31):
That's a good point. You know, we sit here right
now and Dana has broken into the boxing world and
is you know, saying he's beating up babies in the
boxing world and we'll see if that comes to fruition.
But on the other side his baby UFC in MMA,
they're experiencing someone I wouldn't say coming in and fully
trying to take over, but someone trying to make a
(12:52):
name for themselves in MMA and MVP and Netflix. Netflix
is for sure backing this card. And probably the reason
that a lot of these high level purses are being
paid out. I assume that that's where the money's coming from,
just because how do you afford all these names if
you don't have big time money behind it. Netflix has
big time money, So this is an interesting wrinkle where
(13:12):
Dana didn't want to make or didn't want to pay,
or maybe they didn't necessary. I don't know the negotiations
between UFC and Nate Diez, if they were any, between
the UFC and Francis and Ghanu, or the UFC negotiations
between Ronda and Gina, but it's at least on record
the UFC wanted Ronda and Gina, UFC wan and Nate
Diez back, and now they're both fighting on Netflix and
(13:33):
not in the UFC. That says something and I don't
want to hear all the UFC didn't want them. You know,
they're not in they don't do fights like that. They're
not in the big name fight business. That's bullshit. They
absolutely are. But with that being said, we all know
what this card is. Outside of Francis and Ghanhu. This
is a relevant name card. It is about the name,
not the quality of the fights. Even though again. This
(13:54):
Nate ds Mike Perry fight will be a good fight.
It won't be the highest level, but it will be
a good fight. I don't expect the Francis fight to
be any good. I don't expect the Ronda fight to
be any good, but I'm going to tune in and
see five rounds that'll be a little interesting. But I
also think that Mike Perry might get an eight year
I know that Nate's ground game is far beyond Perry's,
but it'll be interesting to see because Perry is still
(14:17):
very durable to be although Nate didn't get knocked out
from those punches with Jake, and Perry did, different weight class,
all that. But I just want to see, like what
happens in an MMA space where Perry has n't been
there for a while and Nate has him in there
for a while, and Nate has more tools, for sure,
but sometimes kind of throws fights away.
Speaker 3 (14:35):
Be interesting looking this with Francis there against Lenz and
Ronda and Corno, and there were Coinna saying, oh, well,
you know, France is an easy fight. You know is Ronda?
Is Gina still relevant to this stage? I don't think
you're gonna get any real MMA fans saying they don't
want to watch Mike Perry and Nate Diaz foight on
this kind. I think it's tremendous.
Speaker 2 (14:54):
Mike Perry's last MMA fight twenty twenty one, but as
you said, been very, very busy in the world of
bare knuckle. He had the boxing match against Jake Paul,
but the bare knuckle world has really rejuvenated his career.
He's become the face of BKFC, and I understand this
doesn't preclude him from fighting for them in the future.
More on that in a moment. Nat Diez. Of course,
his last fight was in twenty twenty two. As far
(15:16):
as MMA is concerned, that that fateful UFC two seventy
nine card where he was supposed to fight Hubsud Humsud
Missus Wade, he beats Tony Ferguson on short notice. And
of course we've seen him in a couple of boxing
matches since the Jake Paul fight and the Jorge Mazidal
boxing match of a couple of years ago.
Speaker 1 (15:32):
Which by the way, Jorge I thought won that fight.
But these are good points from the guys and from
Ariel that Yeah, this is a massive move for Netflix
to go out and get the names that they're getting.
But also it brings up a conversation of the same
thing we have said with the UFC. Did they try
hard enough? Did they need to try hard enough to
(15:52):
get an ads back for the Connor trilogy. I don't
think that they're going to get him now again. I
just don't. Maybe they maybe Nate takes this one and
then fight Connor in the end of the year. I
just don't think that's gonna happen now, Like that ship's
probably gonna sail. But outside of that, Mike Perry, could
he elevate his name even further like he's been doing
(16:13):
in Bare Knuckle for the last four years five years
and come back to MMA, maybe even come back to
the UFS. I don't know. But what this is showing
is that big names don't need the UFC. If Netflix
and MVP can remain a sustainable business and do one, two, three,
four of these a year, I don't know the guys
(16:33):
that are already outside of it, not talking about the
guys inside of the UFC, but the guys that are
already outside of it. You're a big name, you want
to do MMA, but you've left the UFC and really
don't have any options. Now you have an option. Problem
is how many more people are out there. That's the
thing that they're going to run into. But we'll see
how that goes.
Speaker 2 (16:50):
Here's more discussion on we want in a card like this.
I think there's many different interesting viewpoints to talk about.
Number One, that they got Nate and is huge, no
no secret. You know Nate was a free man, no
secret I can tell you. UFC was interested in bringing
Nate back. And to me, what makes this so interesting
(17:11):
is that this is the closest that we've ever seen
to a boxing MMA card. And let me explain right now.
As the Kisabadarian said last week and others have said
as well, Gabe Spitzer of Netflix as well, Top Guy.
As far as sports are concerned over there, Netflix isn't
in the MMA business just yet right now, this is
(17:33):
a one off. They're the They're in the event business.
As we've talked about in the past. Kobayashi, Joey Chesnutt
World Baseball Classic in Japan, only, Women's World Cup home
run derby opening day MLB. They don't want, you know,
forty three events. They don't want a full schedule of
you know, eighty two games or anything like that they want.
Speaker 1 (17:52):
This is how Netflix talked about their boxing intro as well.
Their entry into boxing was Mike Tyson Jake and they
said flat out, hey, this is gonna be a one
off event. We're not in the boxing business. And then
it became more and more and more Amana Sronald, Katie Taylor, three,
Terrence Crawford, Canelo Alvarez, Jake, Paul, Anthony Joshua for events
(18:15):
in the last two years. So that's a very slow
build for them. I could see them doing something similar
in MMA. I could see them taking okay, well we'll
do an MMA fight if the event, like Ariel said,
is big enough. They've done it in other sports. As
Aeriel mentioned, you see it all over the place in
terms of them just wanting to get as much viewership
(18:36):
on that first page right right as you click into
the app, that big event for that one day as
they can. And this is the start of it in MA,
but I doubt it'll be the end of it. I
think they're going to do more of these after they
see what'll probably be a big success. I mean, this
will I'm trying to think of what the biggest number
the UFC has done on like cable television or ABC something.
(19:01):
I know they're doing big numbers on paramount if they
did three point one million or something on last Weekend's card,
but Netflix has almost four hundred million users. Even with
the names like Ronda and Gina being quote unquote washed up.
Are they the name of Mike Tyson, Absolutely not, Jake Paul,
Anthony Joshua, absolutely not. But they could still do a
(19:23):
big number just based on the fact they're gonna slap
it on that front page. You're gonna have Nate Diz,
Mike Perry, who are bigger draws than probably everybody else
on the card outside of Ronda, because I still don't
know what Ronda's drop hour is after the wrestling and
everything else. Francis is not a draw. We've seen this,
but it's probably gonna do a big number, and maybe
we'll do a bigger number than most people.
Speaker 2 (19:44):
Expect on big events. So right now, this was a
big event that was brought to them. And if you're
Nate Diz, Mike Perry, Ronda Rouse, Gina Crono, Franzin Ganhu,
you're signing one fight deals to be on this card.
Speaker 1 (19:55):
So if you're Nate Diez who was looking at his.
Speaker 2 (19:57):
Options and it was like, hey, I could go back
to the UFC right now now, and who knows how
that plays out, and it's gonna be four fights. They
don't do one fight deals. It's gonna be six fights.
It's gonna be multi fights as opposed to a one
off on the biggest platform in the world. Three hundred
and twenty five plus millions.
Speaker 1 (20:14):
There's more than that now. I'm pretty sure. I think
it's bigger than that. That's why I said four hundred million.
I probably overestimated, but I think it's past three fifty now,
like three seventy or something. But that's a good point
from Ariel too. We just saw Alex Pereira sign an
eight fight deal two day with the UFC. Eight fights.
He's thirty something like what is he thirty eight? Alex
(20:35):
Preraz thirty eight, right, thirty eight years old? Do you
think Alex Perera is gonna fight eight more times? Probably not?
So why do they fight They signed him for eight
fight deal. It's because once he is done, he's still
under contract. He can't win the heavyweight belts and leave
to go box he can't win it defended a couple
of times, then leave to go box. He's gonna be
(20:57):
there for the rest of his career. And that's why
guy like Nate Diaz didn't want to sign, or probably
Mike perod And because they would won if it was
Nate Connor. Yes, that would be a massive main event,
but that's not all you're gonna do. You're gonna be
there and you're gonna be locked in, which again is
smart business on the UFC's part, but a smart business
of Nate to go or Mike or Francis or Gina
(21:18):
Ronda christ say, given Philippe Linz for all of them
to go one fight and I'm getting again, I assume
it's going to be a pretty decent bag for all
of them. Hell yeah, I'll do that and then weigh
my options after subscribers.
Speaker 2 (21:31):
Look at what that platform did to Anthony Joshua back
in December, and Nate obviously isn't an unknown commodity in America,
but it will obviously raise his profile, no doubt about it.
This could very well be and I don't even think
it's going on on a limb to say it the
most watched MMA card of all time because it's on
the biggest platform worldwide of all time.
Speaker 1 (21:48):
I'm saying, this is what I'm saying.
Speaker 2 (21:50):
And so you go on here, you win this fight.
Now all of a sudden, you could go back to
the UFC and say, all right, the number just changed.
Now I'm an even hotter commodity. I just came back.
People are going over me, or you could go elsewhere,
or you could go back to them. If this is
a success and you ask for X, Y, and Z
every one of these guys, like when they put together
these big boxing events, I just.
Speaker 1 (22:10):
Don't see, like if Nate's getting paid a number that
either the UFC didn't want to pay him or I
just don't think that there this would help him go
back to the UFC. You know what I'm saying, Like
if he raised his value, are the UFC gonna value
him the same way, right, or they gonna go, oh yeah,
it did raise your value maybe, but they didn't already.
I mean, I don't know the negotiations, but for the
(22:32):
Ryan to fight, they didn't want to pay for that one.
It seems like they don't want to pay the big bucks.
And some other fights were seen in the UFC. So
even with the Connor fight still there, the trilogy is
still there. I don't know. I don't know if I
see it again, the four fight deals, all the restrictions
you signed with the UFC, somebody like Nate and his
at this point in his career, I don't know if
(22:53):
I see it.
Speaker 2 (22:54):
They're all one offs, and we've never seen that in MMA.
If you want to sign a PFL, you've got to
sign for X amount of years or X amount of fights.
If you want to sign with the UFC, you've got
to sign.
Speaker 1 (23:03):
Or one fight and a couple of appearances in the
case of Francis and Ghana, for.
Speaker 2 (23:08):
X amount of years or X amount of fights. This
is a very attractive opportunity for these guys in galves
because it's just, hey, let's make the biggest splash and
then all of our stock goes up, you know what
I mean. And so to me, this was a no
brainer for Nate. Obviously, we'd love to see him fight
Connor McGregor. Now Connor still has two fights left. Based
on everything I've heard and everything Petz said on Friday,
(23:32):
we're trending in the right direction, and as we've told
you time and again it's July eleventh, International Fight Week.
That's what they want. And there was some talk of
Nate versus Connor, But would you rather sign a four
fight deal or would you rather sign a mego one
fight deal on the biggest platform in the world. It's
that fight isn't going away. And by the way, Connor
has two fights left. What do you think that fight
(23:53):
would do on a massive platform like Netflix in a
year and a half or so from now, It would
be gigantic. It would probably be the biggest fight not
named Jake Paul and Mike Tyson that could be made
right now for all intensive purposes. And so the landscape
if they do.
Speaker 1 (24:07):
And it's a lot of there's a lot of pie
in the sky for Mariiel. I don't know that the UFC,
seeing that on the horizon, would allow that fight to
take place on another platform. If they had Connor under
one more fight, they would probably try to ice him
or do whatever they could to bring Nate back. But
that's the cash twenty two is like, you let Nate
sign a one fight deal to come back and fight Connor.
(24:28):
I don't know, but that I mean, he's right, that
would do a crazy number on Netflix. But the UFC,
if Connor still has any draw ability after this next fight,
there's no shot they're gonna let him walk out the
door to go fight Nate Diaz on Netflix. He is
the draw which is still crazy that you know he's
the biggest name in the MMA even now when he comes.
Speaker 2 (24:50):
So I'm telling everyone, I'm not just saying it because
we love Netflix. I love Netflix. It's great for the
fight game. This is amazing for MMA. Everyone should be
rooting for this. I don't care if you're the biggest
UFC stand of all time. I love the UFC. I
don't want them to go anywhere. It's great for our
life that we have something to talk about, that we
have Kevin Baschejos to talk about and all this stuff.
(25:10):
If they went away, it would be awful for us.
But you need that alternative and you need We've never
seen the alternative come in this form right, So to
have something like this on a Monday to talk about
is great. We haven't had this all due respect to PFL,
they are not offering this to us. Costelle Vnstinas Versus
Fabian Edwards is fun. It's great, but that serves the
hardest of the hardcore. No one has been able to
(25:31):
come in and make these types of events and fights,
and so right now it's just a one off.
Speaker 1 (25:36):
This is what credit to Nikisa, credit to Jake. They
understand the casual fan better than maybe anybody in combat sports.
They understand how to make noise, They understand how to
gather a massive audience that isn't just the boxing audience,
that isn't just an MMA audience.
Speaker 2 (25:52):
That is the.
Speaker 1 (25:53):
Casual viewing audience, the casual viewing audience of events, not
even just combat sports. People that recognize name value and controversy,
and when you put them together like Tyson, Jake Paul,
Joshua Jake Paul, you create these massive, massive events. Now, again,
there's also the combat sports fan that watched Canelo Crawford,
(26:15):
but there's not many people putting together events on the
level that Netflix and MVP are doing because they understand
that part of it, and because they understand it's also
an event versus a league of promotion whatever. So you
have to give them credit. And again, I don't even
think this is gonna be a great We'll see what
happens with the rest of the undercard, but I know
(26:36):
the comain and the man. I don't think they're gonna
be great fights. I think Ronda and Gina are gonna
stink the place up, straight up. I think they're going
to But I guarantee you when we get out of
that card on the next Monday or Tuesday or whenever
those numbers come out, they're gonna be gigantic and people
are gonna be like what You'll understand then, how many
casual fans will want to watch Ronda Rausie because she
(26:56):
was in Fast and Furious and in the WWE and
the baddest woman at one point. And Gina Carano because
she was in Deadpool and the Mandalorian and I remember
her from the political controversy stuff like, there's gonna be
a lot of those people, and then of course the
Nate people, the Mike people, and whoever else they get.
Don't be surprised if this number is pretty fucking big.
Speaker 2 (27:16):
But I think they have shown to everyone that they're
willing to pay, that they're willing to invest, and they're
willing to go big. And you can't get much bigger
than as far as as Rick said, who's available then
Ronda versus Gina and remember what Francis said last week,
the original plan, and this is true, Francis versus Rico,
Nate versus Mike. I mean, that's an incredible thing. Now
(27:39):
it didn't work out that way. Rico took the other fight,
God bless him. But you're still getting five massive names
there and a nice little story in Felipe Lendz who's
trying to shock the world and change his life, and
more to come. This is great for everyone. This is
great and a no brainer if you ask me. Nate
made the right choice. And I understand it didn't go
too far down and Connor's not done, so who knows
(27:59):
that could sideways. But Nate versus Mike Perry is a very,
very very exciting addition. And dare I say there?
Speaker 1 (28:06):
You say what Ariel no?
Speaker 2 (28:08):
That is?
Speaker 1 (28:09):
I mean you could say Ariel's biased because he works
with MVP. I used to work with MVP. I work
with the Ring magazine. You can say I'm biased for either,
but I genuinely agree with him here. I think it's
a great fight. Again, it doesn't have to be the
highest level, but it's a good fight and it's a
good card and a lot of people are gonna watch it.
There is this other thing too Jake put out today
and I'm not exactly sure what this is announcement March eighteenth.
(28:30):
Maybe we're gonna have to uh, we're gonna have to
do a separate video for this. Seeing him boxing is
definitely old footage. Yeah, it's definitely old footage to Jake,
but he says, you won't expect this one hahaha. Devil
face lightning emoji announcement in two days March eighteenth. I
(28:53):
have a feeling this is definitely a capital W deodorant
because he sweated through his business suit at the Donald
Trump rally. No, it is probably some sort of like
business venture outside of boxing for Jake, something to do
with Better potentially or you know, one of his companies.
I assume because Jake has been told after his second
(29:16):
JOS surgery he can't spar for the next six months.
So you mean to tell me that he can't spar
for the next six months, but he's supposed to fight.
It's the fight announcement. I doubt it. But listen, big
things happening right now in the world of MMA, and
I cannot wait to see what's next. Comment down below,
what do you think who is gonna be next on
this MVP card, what's Jake's big announcement, and does this
(29:37):
hurt the UFC or is it just good to have competition.
Don't have any of those answers, but I guess we'll
find out
