Speaker 1 (00:00):
All right, folks, we are back on the Way concept

(00:01):
presented by The Ring magazine, and today we had the
Furies returning to boxing officially. And yes, I said the Furies,
because Tyson Fury is back. He's fighting on Netflix, Fury
versus Macmodoff. This is going to be a interesting fight
to take a look at. I think everybody is favoring Fury,
but not just Tyson is back. Anytime Tyson rolls into town,

(00:23):
his father comes back. And that's right. Big John Fury
absolutely melted down at the initial launch press conference yesterday
for this fight, and then Tyson Fury followed that up
with being almost as delusional, if not more delusional, than
Deontay Wilder is. Right now, it's wild. There's lies being told,
there's falsehoods being perpetuated, and there's just crazy, psychotic Big

(00:47):
John Fury back in the fold and listen, you guys know,
I love John Fury. I think he's one of the
most entertaining people in boxing, but this one was even
a stinker for him. It's almost like trying to drive
by a car crash, which you don't really want to
look because you got to focus on what's important, but
you can't also look away and at the end of it,
you just hope everyone's okay and you.

Speaker 2 (01:05):
Shake your head.

Speaker 1 (01:06):
A probably terrible decision from one person or another. So
let's take a look at this big car crash of
a press conference that had Big John Fury calling out
Carl Frotch, which we'll get to more of that, and
Tyson Fury talking a lot about his fights with Alexander Usik,
his fight with mac Mudov, and some red flags that
I see for Tyson coming back. I love that the

(01:27):
Furies are back, but I hope it's not what I
think it's gonna be. What do I mean the breakdown?
Let's go. Before the press conference even started yesterday, we
had John Fury walking into I guess this is Tottenham Stadium.
I could be wrong, but I'm pretty sure this is
where they had the first Connor Ben and Chris Ubank
fight presser because I was there. But John Fury, as always,

(01:50):
he's very loud, very bragadocious, very chaotic when either Tyson
or Tommy fights, and this time he is having a
go at Carl Frotch. I guess because stuff Carl Froch
had said on frons on fighting his channel and John
Fury making a fool of himself, will never get hold
to stake a look.

Speaker 3 (02:07):
Run the fucking bitch helps rolling like the fucking bitch.

Speaker 4 (02:12):
All out of the fuckers call me John Fury.

Speaker 3 (02:17):
On the fucking video. I I'm afraid of any among
the walks.

Speaker 4 (02:20):
I'm afraid of no man, only God on Mighty, and
I'm here to provemas all this fuck misery. Fuck this
man pools up there, he's this fucking me, John Fury.

Speaker 3 (02:34):
Don't gonna fuck about Norman. Don't bull.

Speaker 4 (02:38):
So fucking respectrum My day because when he mentioned John
Fury's say.

Speaker 3 (02:41):
What do you do? Run my freaking bitches, Caldrock run cross.

Speaker 1 (02:46):
Oh my, John's voices cracking. He said, John Furrey afraid
at a man that walks? Is he afraid of guys
that don't walk? No, I'm like, is he afraid of
dudes that run? You know what I'm saying? What about
a slight job?

Speaker 2 (02:59):
John?

Speaker 1 (03:00):
He's in rare form. I mean, I know you know
what he's not. This is typical John Fury form. But
he comes in uh saying, you know, put some respect
on my name. Carl Frocherer a bitch, You're a bitch,
I mean, I don't know what again, if John is
upset because Carl has called him out for being an
absolute lunatic, which he is at most points during Tyson
or Tommy's build up. I mean, look at look at

(03:21):
John Fury during the k sid Tommy Fury build up
when he is smacking his head against the plastic separator
for the face off, or he's kicking the table and
shit's going flying, or if he's headbutting a one of
Alexander Ussik's team in Saudi Arabia before their fight. I mean,
there's countless things that John has done, not to mention
going to jail for ripping a guy's eyeball out of

(03:42):
his head.

Speaker 4 (03:42):
So yeah, rosh, the world's been calling it.

Speaker 1 (03:57):
The funniest part about this is John is like running around, saying.

Speaker 5 (04:01):
Carl's running like a bitch. Carl, You're running like a bitch.

Speaker 1 (04:03):
And meanwhile, Carl Frotch is standing right next to Lennox Lewis,
and John is like, where are you, Carl. He's like
looking around like he can't see Carl Frotch. You can
see Lennox Lewis standing there, but he can't see Carl Frotch.
He's asking where he is. Look, he's like looking, you know,
I was gonna fight, giving you what I mean, unless
it was some sort of like tomato can matchup. Why

(04:26):
would John Fury have ever fought Lennox Lewis unless again,
it was Lennox just as he turned pro trying to
fight a bunch of tomato cans. Because John Fury was
never anywhere close to the level of fighter that Lennox
Lewis was. And he's doing this whole thing like I'm
not scared of anyone. All right, that's fine, But what
are you gonna fight Carl Frotch while he's working for Netflix.
People seem to think that when you go to these
events it's an excuse to like scrap out your issues.

(04:49):
I've even had this set about me, like why didn't
you pull up on Logan Paul when he was at
the event you worked for Jake Paul, Like, because we're
there to do a job. And I don't think that Netflix,
or my case, the owne really gave a if I
had a personal issue with somebody while I'm on their
company time. Same with Carl Frouch here, like he's he's
doing work for Netflix on the stage he's got the
the Netflix mic in hand. He's, you know, there to

(05:11):
to report on the Tyson Fury fight, and instead of
doing that job, John Fury would like for him to
come down there and scrap him. I guess, which is
stupidest obviously, but it's John Fury.

Speaker 6 (05:23):
So what.

Speaker 3 (05:25):
I'm gonna away from you?

Speaker 1 (05:31):
He said, that's true. Okay, So there was a point
in time where Lenox was gonna absolutely l spawko John Fury. Also,
I love the fact that like he's talking to Linux
like that, not that he's you know, being super disrespectful,
but he's kind of like, yeah, Lenox, I was about
to give it to you or I was gonna step
up to you when Linux is his legacy is better

(05:54):
than anything John or what John's going to refer to
is his creation of Tyson Fury and how John is
the only reason for anybody being there. Lennox Lewis has
a better legacy than Tyson Fury does. I'm sorry, it's
just true. With that being said, he was already an
all time great before Tyson ever put on boxing gloves.
So don't know where John gets off talking to Lennox

(06:14):
Lewis that way, But Okay, he says, get Carl Frontier.
He's he's on the stage. He's on the same stage
that John just looked up and had a full conversation. Meanwhile,
he's acting like he doesn't see Carl. It's so weird.

Speaker 2 (06:32):
Anyone else that wants it.

Speaker 3 (06:40):
Pitching pich kyl.

Speaker 5 (06:44):
He's just standing there.

Speaker 1 (06:51):
Carl's just smiling, laughing about it.

Speaker 5 (06:53):
Because what else are you supposed to do?

Speaker 1 (06:54):
Like what is Carl gonna throw down the mic and
actually go and John Fury up because he would was
not begin of a mistake. Carl Frotch would absolutely, if
they had a little scrap right there, would stick it
on John Fiery.

Speaker 4 (07:05):
Like we know this.

Speaker 1 (07:07):
If John Fury really wanted to like do something, he
wouldn't come and announce it in this big, grandiose way.
He would have walked up on Carl Frotch one on
one after he was done presenting whatever and stuck it
on him that way. That's how you know that John Fury,
as much as he wants to say he'll do it,
he'll this, He'll that he didn't want no part of
actually going and scrapping Carl Frotch. If he really thought

(07:28):
all those things, and he thought he would him up.
He would have waited till Carl was done. And by
the way, Carl was not on stage when they brought
Tyson up to do his interview, because I assume there's
some conflict there, so he could have done it.

Speaker 4 (07:38):
Then.

Speaker 1 (07:39):
He could have done it at any point during the day,
but he chose the point where Carl has obligations to
act like a lunatic, because that's what's of course gonna
make it look like John had any I don't know
standing to say any of that. This is when Gareth A.

Speaker 2 (07:52):
Davies rolls up to the event and John is going
off on a tirade. Let's watch this.

Speaker 7 (08:07):
Are you upsett and shady?

Speaker 3 (08:08):
Are you upsetting?

Speaker 2 (08:13):
What I love is that all the Fury kids just
have to kind of deal with it and listen. I
understand when.

Speaker 1 (08:18):
My dad feels like he needs to have an outburst,
or when he's in need to show someone he's in
control of the room, of the situation, whatever. He kind
of does this. Now, granted he's not John Fury, but
having that personality trade, I'm sure a lot of people
can identify with their dads.

Speaker 2 (08:33):
We're sons.

Speaker 1 (08:34):
You don't want to disrespect your dad, right, and you
don't want to step on his toes because he still
has to feel like dad. So you just kind of
have to sit back there and just wait for him
to get done. And you're all right, all right, let's
get out of here. Bob's all right, you kind of done.
Tyson just seems like he's let the freaking leash off
John Fury and let him do whatever. In Rome, however,
Tommy looks like he's ashamed every time John does this
kind of ship.

Speaker 2 (08:53):
But I understand the feeling because they're all kind of
just like, oh.

Speaker 3 (08:56):
My god, fucking male, make pulls you a fucking mail.

Speaker 1 (09:03):
He keeps car himself, the ultimate mail.

Speaker 3 (09:06):
Pulls some respect on his knee.

Speaker 7 (09:08):
What happened?

Speaker 3 (09:08):
John can talk about the day night in the video.
I'm a coward, design my coward, fucking roll like a dog.

Speaker 1 (09:14):
I will fight.

Speaker 3 (09:15):
I'll drop for fucking ap me. I'm going to fuck
any place any time anyway for nothing.

Speaker 1 (09:20):
So yeah, he's clearly upset that Carl Froch called him
a coward. But again, he's not gonna fight Carl.

Speaker 3 (09:25):
He's not.

Speaker 1 (09:25):
If he wanted to fight Carl, he could have found him.
And scrapped it out and uh done it before Carl
ever got on stage. But it is hilarious.

Speaker 8 (09:32):
So someone's upset John quite seriously there. You know, I'm
being told it might be Carl frot frogs here.

Speaker 1 (09:38):
Maybe it's the calm almost PBS like delivery there from
Gail cared Baial.

Speaker 2 (09:44):
Someone's upset John Fury.

Speaker 8 (09:46):
John doesn't hold back on these occasions, very passionate around
when his sons are fighting.

Speaker 9 (09:51):
He's always very very passionate.

Speaker 8 (09:54):
I wonder if you can get a word with him.

Speaker 1 (09:55):
That's one that's all right.

Speaker 8 (10:01):
We got very passionate on this occasions.

Speaker 4 (10:02):
He said, those people talking about me, come to the
fuck about shout out down man.

Speaker 3 (10:07):
My middle seat me, not some freak gold digger.

Speaker 1 (10:11):
What what I should be? I don't know who he's talking.
I assume he's talking to Carl Fridge. I'm not sure.
He said I should be in the middle spot, not
some freak gold digger talking about the presentation team and
John needs to rightfully have that spot for reasons we
don't know.

Speaker 3 (10:27):
As how these bullets seated to be gold for these
gold diggers.

Speaker 4 (10:31):
These bullets treated millions for these gold diggers treat me
with some fucking respect.

Speaker 3 (10:36):
No minds fucking.

Speaker 2 (10:37):
Shower shit down here.

Speaker 1 (10:39):
He's talking about Carl Froge dude, a multiple times super
middleweight champion of the world, and John has like, put
some respect on my name.

Speaker 2 (10:48):
It's about me.

Speaker 1 (10:49):
I created all this. I'm the alpha male, the ultimate male.
And listen, does John have a point that without him
that Tyson Fury is alive and therefore they're not at
this press conference and Tyson doesn't fight, so people can't comment, sure,
I guess, but there was always gonna be other fighters
that we were gonna comment on that we were going

(11:12):
to make press conferences for that were gonna be on Netflix.
Tyson's not the first fighter on Netflix. We've already seen
Terrence Crawford, Canelo, Jake Paul, Mike, Tyson, a man A,
Ronald Kay Taylor, Anthony Joshua, another UK heavyweight champion that
did it first. Now again, is Tyson a massive name?
Of course?

Speaker 2 (11:27):
Is he gonna draw eyeballs that most in boxing won't?

Speaker 1 (11:30):
For sure? Is John Fury a character and captivating in
his own way?

Speaker 3 (11:36):
Yeah?

Speaker 1 (11:36):
But what the kind of main character syndrome does John
Fury hold that he's like this is all me, Netflix me.
He's pointing down there, and Lennox Lewis is on that
freaking panel. Dude, come on, treat me some fucking respect.

Speaker 3 (11:51):
No minds fucking shower shit down here.

Speaker 5 (11:55):
I made all this.

Speaker 3 (11:59):
Where's the statements here? It is what spooking my books.

Speaker 1 (12:06):
Oh my god, he's saying his life story doesn't sound
as cool when it's when it's put that way, like
your biggest accomplishment is blowing a load. Great show you
love training.

Speaker 3 (12:17):
He is in prison. I'm being a pull. I'm giving these.

Speaker 1 (12:22):
Never bother me when I meet you.

Speaker 2 (12:27):
It's a different manta. We're not looking at them.

Speaker 1 (12:30):
John almost Captain almost Captain insanoed himself, Dude, that might
be the thumbnails. That's where he knows these most effective
people's eyes up. Dude is ripping eyeballs out of skulls.
You know what, before we move into the actual fight.
Carl Fratch responded to John Fury. This is what he

(12:51):
had to say again on Frosh on fighting his channel.

Speaker 2 (12:55):
Very smart move. It's banging views right now. Here's a response.

Speaker 10 (12:58):
I'm still there about live on it, and I'm thinking, oh,
please go away, just like pipe down and leave us alone,
because you're not gonna do anything. You'd been downstairs, you
know exactly where I was. I didn't run anywhere, run
like a bitch, he said, This is.

Speaker 5 (13:11):
What I'm saying.

Speaker 1 (13:11):
So they before they even went on air, John Fury,
I guess, had seen Carl Frois and didn't do anything, which,
again is it puts this whole like I'm the ultimate
mail Carl Frost run.

Speaker 3 (13:21):
Like a bitch.

Speaker 2 (13:21):
That's not anywhere near what reality is.

Speaker 1 (13:25):
And if John really wanted to have it out, he
could have found Carl before they went on air, before
he got on the stage, after he got on the stage,
while they were walking out, at any point and quietly
done this. But make it a big spectacle means you
don't want to fight.

Speaker 10 (13:38):
I didn't have nowhere to run.

Speaker 1 (13:41):
Squeaky voice, you know exactly where I was.

Speaker 10 (13:45):
He didn't come anywhere near me. He just talked to God.
Empty vessels make the most noise. He's got no intentions
of having a fight. If he wants to have a fight,
let's put it out here now. I've would have Mum's Taylor.
Let's get on misfits because that's what it is.

Speaker 1 (14:00):
Oh okay, we're setting up a misfits fight Carl John Ury.
John will never do that. John would absolutely not do that,
no way, shape or form, unless he got paid some
insane number. Or he'll ask for some insane number, which
is like in no way, shape or form what he's worth,
and he'll price himself out of it.

Speaker 2 (14:19):
But Carl friedwid stretch.

Speaker 10 (14:21):
Him misfits in it.

Speaker 9 (14:22):
That's what this is.

Speaker 10 (14:23):
Big jump fuel in a fighting man. Put some respects
on your name. Put some respects on your own name.
Grow a set of ackers. You said, you know what
you're afraid of. No man, book, God and me and
you can do it. We can do it, and I'll
be honest. I'll take my time with you. I'll pep
you off a couple of jabs, I'll leave you of
a couple of right ins to the body, and when
you fall on the floor, I'll help you up, because
that's what happened. I'm embarrassing. You just embarrassed yourself there,

(14:45):
and you'll embarrass yourself again. You need to stop doing it.
Tyson Fury doesn't need you in your big gob shine
mouth running around shouting and swearing, being a fing idiot
in public. It is a complete embarrassment. Please stop it
unless you're gonna do something about it.

Speaker 1 (14:59):
I mean, listen, I don't want John Fury to stop
it because while yes, it's embarrassing for him and he
makes a fool of himself so much, it does create attention,
It creates buzz. You can't deny that, right. You cannot
deny that John Fury when he's acting an absolute fool
is entertaining. He absolutely is. But it doesn't matter because
at the end of the day, we're gonna watch Tyson

(15:20):
Fury anyway. It's just John promoting fights the way John
does and be in a psycho. And here's Joe Egan
who has been calling for a fight with John Fury
on Misfits. This is a former legendary, former spar partner
with Mike Tyson and h him and Joe excuse me,
him and John have gotten beef from way back, it
seems like, and John. He's the one man that John
don't want to usually respond to. But let's hear Joe Egan.

Speaker 7 (15:42):
Hey, Joe Fury, so that choice's press cone for yesterday.

Speaker 3 (15:47):
Don't care. The LTIMU fucking male, the ultimate fucking male.
You never fuck with this guy ever. Reckon.

Speaker 7 (15:56):
You have no shame quoting yourselftie. Ultimately what you think
told the lips broke.

Speaker 1 (16:05):
That's actually I was trying to figure out where i'd
heard that. That is Thunderlips.

Speaker 2 (16:09):
That's Old Cogan in the Rocky three movie.

Speaker 1 (16:12):
That's so funny.

Speaker 7 (16:16):
In the First Favor, The Ultimate Mail. I'm gonna grow
your blonde locks, John when we meet, whether it be
in a box of ring or on the cobbles, I'm
gonna put manners on you.

Speaker 3 (16:30):
When they eat you. My right hand jump for everyone.

Speaker 11 (16:34):
Be counted one, two, three, four, I will put you
asleep good, a proper John, be counted one day, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday.

Speaker 1 (16:46):
Oh my goodness, Joe, someone grab the fire extinguisher. He's
spinning heat. I've never heard anyone say that as much
boxing trash talk as I've ever heard. I've never heard
anyone say I'm gonna put you to sleep so proper.
The f won't count one two three, He'll count Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday.
That's insane.

Speaker 7 (17:07):
Okay, Joe, I'm gonna give the world put a rest
from your milk job, because that's what you are, is
a milk piece. Okay, Now, Listen, when you look into
my eyes on the day with meat, job, I will
see fear in your eyes. You won't see fear in
my eyes because you spelled the word fear forget everything

(17:32):
and wrong. See me, I spelled the word fear, face
everything and rise and I will rise?

Speaker 1 (17:38):
Oh my god?

Speaker 3 (17:40):
Who's writing for this man?

Speaker 1 (17:42):
Who's this ghost writer? There's no way this is off
the top of the dome? Son, you pully.

Speaker 3 (17:48):
You don't have the friend job.

Speaker 7 (17:55):
Right, it's coming job.

Speaker 1 (17:57):
I ain't read to Steve Man it's coming. What I
didn't even see that?

Speaker 2 (18:01):
That's bullshit?

Speaker 1 (18:02):
All right, there's Joe Egan. Uh, and so Carl Fritz
and Joe Egan are essentially being like, all right, John,
you want that smoke? Here it is and pure deform.
Here is John Fury's response to both of them. At
one time. He's on a run. Hi, he's getting.

Speaker 5 (18:18):
Ready for his fight.

Speaker 1 (18:19):
Maybe listen, maybe I'm counting out John Fury, and I
shouldn't count on the fighting Fury name.

Speaker 2 (18:23):
Maybe I shouldn't, because.

Speaker 1 (18:24):
Here he is on his run, ready to go, and
addresses them both.

Speaker 4 (18:28):
It's staller, pretender's out there.

Speaker 1 (18:30):
They wearing frocks.

Speaker 4 (18:32):
I knew the fucking juice said. Time run out for
your boys. I'm gonna bump into you. I'm gonna do
here's a statement. I'm gonna do the tour on the
same night. You can do me. You two shitouses can
try and to.

Speaker 5 (18:47):
Me, you can do me.

Speaker 1 (18:49):
Hey, hold on to me, boys, to me, come on, John,
I'll batch huh.

Speaker 4 (18:56):
I'm telling you now, it's that your fucking parol boys.
It's like your fucking peril.

Speaker 5 (19:01):
And if I've gonna go.

Speaker 4 (19:02):
Back to jails for you too, sitouses, you fucking for
Gazy's fakes. I don't mind who is.

Speaker 3 (19:09):
Don't believe me.

Speaker 1 (19:10):
Look here he's spitting. He's spitting while he's running.

Speaker 4 (19:13):
Running training twenty stone nine pound. I'll fucking chew yours
up and smit you out. There's men taking juice to
be is because the John Fury I see bechsteak and
stew and eat worms eat worms for breakfast like you,
the worm frogs who shot yourself.

Speaker 1 (19:32):
It's a spit on his lists and II worms like
you for breakfast.

Speaker 5 (19:36):
Okay, Joe, I.

Speaker 4 (19:36):
Plant to say no you for Gazy, you pussy, I'll
fix you. Want to see your mate?

Speaker 5 (19:41):
Oh got he spit on the camera.

Speaker 4 (19:43):
Into oblivion, and your fat, fucking ugly mate with you
your camera to Joe Eagan, Poe, Hey, I'll fix you too, mate,
Time run out for yours.

Speaker 1 (19:52):
There you go, man, times up. I've been said I
want to see John Fury and Joe Egan fight. I've
been said it because let's be honest, if John Fury
really wanted it with Carl Frotz, he would have stuck
it on him at the freaking presser.

Speaker 5 (20:04):
He would have stuck it on him. He had every
opportunity to it.

Speaker 1 (20:07):
He didn't. No matter how much he spits and snarls
and goes for runs. He said he's twenty stone nine pound.

Speaker 2 (20:13):
How much is that? Damn near three hundred pounds?

Speaker 1 (20:15):
Fuck? He's not lasting more than two minutes in a
ring with I mean they did, won't even go to
two minutes thirty seconds with Carl Fronch. But him and
Joe Egan, come on, now, I need to see that.
But can we all right, that's out of the way now.
John Fury again just being an absolute psycho car for
the course, but this one was even more hilarious than most.

(20:36):
We need to talk about the actual fight, though, Tyson
Fury taken on our slam Beck Macmoodoff.

Speaker 2 (20:41):
This is an interesting fight.

Speaker 1 (20:44):
Number two ranked Russian got the big win over David
Allen had a tough loss Kybel. Obviously, people are struggling
with kabe Al. He might be, you know, a world
champion at some point in the very near future. But
this is Tyson Fury taking a I don't want to
say tune up fight, but kind of do you want
to say tune up fight before he comes back to
an even bigger fight, right? We have potentially depending on
what goes on with Anthony joshuas you know, mental and

(21:07):
is he still wanting to commit to boxing as a whole.
We'll see, but that fights out there. I don't really
want to see Usik versus Tyson Fury three, but I
don't see why else Tyson will be coming back to
the sport after retiring for five or six times. But listen,
you don't have to ask me. Let's talk to Tyson
himself and see why he's come back to boxing.

Speaker 3 (21:27):
Why have you decided to come back?

Speaker 5 (21:29):
And was there a catalyst?

Speaker 1 (21:30):
Was there one moment where you thought, do you know
what I've still got it?

Speaker 12 (21:34):
I came back for one reason only, and that's to
make boxing great again. Since I retired for the fifth
time over a year ago, boxing for me has gone
on a downward slope.

Speaker 1 (21:46):
It's become quite boring.

Speaker 12 (21:48):
And boxing is at its maximum potential when Tyson Fury
is actively fighting. And I didn't say that, and Ai
the cleverestay ion. I have said that chat GBT so.

Speaker 1 (22:01):
That ChiPT Tyson the boxing's at its best when he's
in it, and I agree. I'll be honest, it's not
that boxing, in my opinion, has been boring at all.
We've had some fantastic fights over the last year, but
it doesn't hurt when the personality, the skill, the the aura,
the intangibles of Tyson Fury is in boxing. He's one
of the biggest stars in the sport. It's just like saying, yeah,

(22:23):
when Canelo fights, boxing is big time. Same with Tyson Fury.
Of course, he's right, boxing is better when he is
in the sport. Now again, I don't know that boxing
needs Tyson Fury more than Tyson Fury needs boxing, but
that's a different conversation. He's right, though, it's clearly better
when he's a part of boxing.

Speaker 3 (22:39):
I'm looking forward to the event.

Speaker 12 (22:40):
I'm looking forward to coming here, putting on my burial
show up Tottenham, and most of all, I'm looking forward
to punching his face right in.

Speaker 1 (22:47):
To be fair, it's been a while on a mist
it what better think?

Speaker 2 (22:52):
I was like, all right, whatever, dude.

Speaker 12 (22:54):
My mom, do the other man's facing and get paid
a lot of money to do it. I missed it
a lot. We've got big Mattmdov over there. I'm going
to write him straight off completely. I'm gonna make his
face look like a butcher's block after our four arms.
And I suppose the biggest turning point in this comeback
for me was a tragedy that happened with Anthony Joshua.

(23:16):
I was on holiday with my family in Thailand for Christmas,
just to get away from the rain, sick of the rain.

Speaker 2 (23:21):
It was depressing me.

Speaker 12 (23:23):
And then I hear all thatt bad news that's gone on,
and I thought, you know what, life is very very short,
and very precious and very fragile, and anything could happen
at any given moment, and you should never never put
things off until tomorrow or next year or next week,
because tomorrow is not promised. To nobody.

Speaker 1 (23:39):
The Bible says tomorrow is not a gift. Tomorrow ain't promised.
A man love that message. And you know, as much
as there's a rivalry between Tyson and Anthony Joshua, I
love to see him drop the act a little bit.
And really he kind of did this with Danty Wilder
as well, talking about you know how Dantay's probably got
some unresolved issues that he's going through over that time

(24:00):
and fight, and Tyson kind of has the same thing
going on with Uzig. We'll get to that in a second,
but here he was talking about the Anthony Joshua situation
and you know, the tragic lass of life. Obviously that Anthony,
you know, in that Corecress he lost his two best
friends in Africa, and here was Tyson talking about it.

Speaker 12 (24:16):
Boxing rival is one thing, but humanity and human life
is another. In this comeback tour, I haven't mentioned AJ
one time. I only wished him all the best. I
wasn't there. I don't know exactly what's gone on, but
what I've heard and what I've seen, it's been catastrophic
and eventful to say the least. So if the lad
wants to come back boxing fantastic for him, and if
he doesn't, he's done, marvelous. Congratulations. But yeah, I've got

(24:39):
nowhere no mause feelings towards the lad never, I've never
will do. It's sports one thing, but when within things
like that happen, it could have been me, It could
have been New, it could have been Frank, could have
been any of us in that car. And God has
a plan for everybody. So whatever his journey is is
his own business.

Speaker 5 (24:55):
And this is the stuff that made you.

Speaker 1 (24:57):
I mean, granted I wasn't there in the UK on
the rise of Tyson Fury, but this is what I
assume made you fall in love with him, This is
what made you want to watch him is he was
an earnest guy. He was a guy that when he
spoke it it felt like he meant it right. When
he spoke, it felt like this was a genuine dude.
He was a little bit off kilter for sure, but
you could trust him. And now that Tyson has gotten,
you know, further along into his career and there's been

(25:18):
you know, I don't know, the idea that Tyson is
being cheated by the sport and the USIK fights again
kind of mirroring what Deontay Wilder says against him and
kind of the delusion around those fights, and maybe some
other things as well, like when you criticize him and
the media criticize him, then they're automatically labeled haters and
all this stuff. That kind of stuff turns you off

(25:40):
to Tyson Fury, But moments like that really bring it
back around. But here he was continuing to talk about
this fight and just again what his mindset is after
the two USIK fights.

Speaker 12 (25:49):
I can't help somebody else's opinion from rings hide.

Speaker 5 (25:53):
I know him, my ha.

Speaker 2 (25:54):
I want them fights.

Speaker 1 (25:55):
Yeah, when you're a mom and you fighting over mom,
if you lose, you know you lose on fair fight.

Speaker 5 (26:00):
Listen, he's got he did win, He's got his decisions.

Speaker 1 (26:02):
He won them, fat flight.

Speaker 12 (26:03):
I kissed him on the head, Comenguntu lighting him fat fight.
But he knows and I know he didn't bait bab
so Ay.

Speaker 1 (26:08):
The end of the day is what it is.

Speaker 12 (26:10):
He gets his decisions, fantastic, He's won the fight. I've
got two big deerth he lost his on my record
for gus what. I'm the one who brings Netflix to
boxing and he's the one who's out in the cold
kind and say he's wanting it.

Speaker 2 (26:22):
He's out in the cold.

Speaker 1 (26:23):
He's he beats you in the first fight, beat you
worse in the second fight, almost knocked Tyson out in
the first fight, made a shit ton of money doing it.
But now he's out in the cold. See this is
the stuff I say that about Tyson. And then we
come right back to this first off, he says, I
know I won those two fights. He can look at
me and not know that he won, but I won,
even though the judges didn't feel that way. He lost
a very close fight the first time around. I thought
he was winning the fight up until he got his

(26:45):
shit rocked late in the fight and Usik took back over.
The second fight was a good back and forth, but
Usak took over and carried that momentum and took that
fight even more clearly unanimously. So Tyson has deluded himself
into thinking he won both fights, not just one, both
of them. Is the same thing that we say about
Deontay Wilder and his delusions over tyson cheating and the

(27:06):
gloves and the you know, the water being spiked and
the manipulation of his walkout suit, and the trainer's not
doing This is the non acceptance that leads you down
a dark path. Now, if Tyson Fury is using that
as motivation, fine, Deontay Wilder used it in the third fight,
still lost, but put up a good fight versus Tyson Fury,
and maybe he uses it in motivation today. But he

(27:27):
was the guy just a couple of days ago that
was saying, if Deontay Wilder can't let go of that loss,
then he's never gonna move on from it. If Tyson
Fury can't let go of those losses, he's never gonna
be able to move on from it, the same way
he told Deontay Wilder, he's never gonna be able to.
I don't know if it means he's never gonna be
able to be usick if they fought for a third time,
or that he's gonna stay around in boxing for too long,

(27:48):
or that he's just gonna have this deep seated like
pole in his psyche that he just can't let go
of because he thinks for some reason that he won
those two fights. Again, you can maybe argue the first
fight the second one, I don't know how you can.
But then he says that he's coming back for that
trilogy that Usik needs him, And I don't necessarily disagree
that Usik would probably want to fight Tyson Fury on

(28:10):
Netflix before he'd want to fight Abbi Awardly, clearly, Kabel,
Moses Atalma, you know, any of the guys that are
that next crop of heavyweights creeping up and starting to
take over. At thirty eight years old, Lusik probably wants
one or two more fights than he's out of the sport.
So I don't think even a Daniel Dubois trilogy like
the Tyson Fury trilogy would would probably make a lot

(28:32):
more sense for Usik for sure, as much as I
don't know if I even want to see it, because
what else can Tyson really do to change the trajectory
of that fight. You lose the first one, you lose
the second one worse, I don't know. And then you know,
when you pair that with Tyson's kind of idea about
where he stands in this equation between him and Usik, like, ah,
he needs me, there's a level of delusion here that
does kind of make you worry about this comeback for Tyson,

(28:54):
like are you doing this for the right reasons? And
even if you are coming back, do you truly have
the right focus in mindset, because here he is talking
about it again. Listen, at the end of the year,
he'll begging me for a third fight.

Speaker 12 (29:06):
He's not me wanting to fight with him, He'll be
begging me to.

Speaker 1 (29:08):
Do a fight with him. Yeah, it's clearly not you
coming back to boxing because you can't let go of
those two losses that Usik hit you with. Like Tyson
took a long break because I think it really is
messing with I think it is. I think it's messing
with his head that he's not the greatest of this generation.
And he really thought he was both undefeated coming in
I mean the tie with Wilder, but both him and
Usik coming in undefeated in that first fight, and he loses,

(29:31):
thinks I was close the first one.

Speaker 2 (29:32):
I'll get him in the second, loses worse. It's messed
with him.

Speaker 1 (29:35):
And again, there's nothing wrong with that, because Usik's the
best of this generation, in one of the all time
great You could argue maybe the greatest, but that'll stir
up a bunch of shit in the comment. But Tyson
thought that was him, and it's hard for him to
let go of it. I understand it, but his idea,
he's going to be begging Tyson for a third fight again.
Maybe Usik does fight him for the third one because
shit ton of money on the line. Already beat the
guy twice, Maybe some difficult, more difficult matchups with power punchers,

(29:58):
with these younger guys coming up, or you know, more athleticism, speed, whatever.

Speaker 2 (30:01):
Starty got the game plan to beat Tyson?

Speaker 1 (30:03):
Did it twice?

Speaker 3 (30:04):
Begging me?

Speaker 12 (30:05):
You watch you had ear first?

Speaker 2 (30:08):
What makes you think he'll be begging you money.

Speaker 12 (30:11):
I'm the cash cow top of the tree with the
biggest broadcast one behind me, not only for boxing, reality TV,
I'm documentaries. I'm that golden child. Where else is he
gonna go? Who's he gonna fight? Fight hard people for
no money? That sounds really really clever to do.

Speaker 1 (30:30):
Listen. I don't disagree with him as much as I
don't know if I want to. I don't want to
go down that path again. You know we've seen it twice.
I don't disagree that that matchup probably makes the most
sense for Usik himself, specifically because a lot of money
for a guy you've beat twice. Now Here is another
thing that's kind of throwing me off about Tyson Fury
coming back, and again I'm just wondering where his mindset is.

(30:51):
He's talking a lot about Usik in the third fight
and kind of you know, again, mac Mudov's a big puncher.
He's twenty one and two with nineteen knockouts. Tyson damn
near got beat by Francis and Guan who in his
first boxing match. Do not forget that, and that was
just a power puncher standing in front of Tyson Fury
And yeah, okay, Fury didn't train whatever, It's the same situation,
overlooking the guy in front of you to potentially get

(31:13):
ready for the guy after you, and it was Oosik
at that point as well. What you can't do is
overlook a guy that not only isn't in his first
boxing match, but is a nasty puncher at heavyweight as
the number two ranked guy in the world. Here is
Tyson talking about how he has no trainer coming into
this fight.

Speaker 13 (31:29):
Just a word as well on the training team in
terms of who will be in your corner come fight night.
Your dad is going to be around and he's going
to be there. But they just say on the top
two you might be adding to your team. Can he
gives any more insight into that.

Speaker 1 (31:41):
I'm like club a Lang, I'm going to train alone,
train alone for this one, and that is the plan.

Speaker 2 (31:46):
Train alone.

Speaker 5 (31:47):
Boy, He's been through it so many times.

Speaker 9 (31:49):
He knows what to do.

Speaker 5 (31:50):
Is that how you feel? I know I know how
to do it.

Speaker 1 (31:53):
I know how to go twelve rounds.

Speaker 3 (31:54):
I know I have to push myself when I need to.

Speaker 12 (31:56):
I don't know how to take a rest one I
need too.

Speaker 1 (31:58):
That just don't sound great. All So, No sugar Hill
Stewart in the corner, and yeah, does Tyson have all
the teachings that he learned under sugar Hill, that he's
learned in previous camps, that he's learned in his entire career.

Speaker 2 (32:10):
Sure?

Speaker 1 (32:11):
Does he know how to fight? Yeah? Is he gonna
change his style?

Speaker 4 (32:13):
No?

Speaker 1 (32:13):
Is he gonna be much different than the Tyson we've
ever seen?

Speaker 4 (32:16):
No?

Speaker 1 (32:16):
But what about motivation in camp, adjustments in camp specific
fight preps, adjustments in the fight. One of the biggest issues,
it felt like throughout these last couple of fights for
Tyson Fury was the mismanagement in the fight, the lack
of understanding for fight strategy and adjustments during the fight.
You had sugar Hill and yelling instructions at Tyson, and

(32:36):
then you also had Big John Fury yelling instructions the
wrong instructions at Tyson for most of both of those fights,
and it's like you do have a bit of a
conflicting voice. And maybe Tyson thinks that John is the
right guy to have and that they've been on this
journey together for forever, but I disagree. I think John
as his cornerman is a terrible move. And again, the
structure around camp and all of that that comes with

(32:57):
having a coach that has experienced eye like a sugar Hill.
I don't know if that's the right choice to just
kind of wing it, And you know, I don't have
a coach. I don't We're just going to figure it out.
Tyson knows better than I do. Thirty seven years old,
been in the game, been a world champion, been one
of the greats of this generation. Opa works out for him.
But again, when you hear all that combined, you start
to wonder, is this the right idea for Tyson Fury.

(33:18):
Love that he's back, Love that a circus show is
back with John Fury, as much as it's it is
embarrassing for John, it is content, and it is hilarious
for the rest of us. But that's all I got
for this one man. You guys, let me know. What
I'm finding out here from Tyson and John is that
they have some deep seated issues that they can't let
go of. For John Fury, he's got this idealism of

(33:40):
himself as the ultimate male and anyone that talks shit
has got to get sparked out, even though he's never
going to do that. And Tyson Fury has a real
hard time letting go of those USIK fights. How does
that affect him mentally? Even if he gets to the
third USIK fight, what's going to be different. He's told
Deontay Wilder that he needs to let go of all
these delusions of grandeur about cheating. Tyson Fury needs to.

Speaker 2 (33:59):
Do the same.

Speaker 1 (34:00):
Otherwise the third fight, if it ever happens, is going
to go the same way, maybe even worse.

Speaker 2 (34:04):
But listen, I don't know.

Speaker 1 (34:05):
We're getting this fight on April eleventh on Netflix, Syson Fury,
oursland Beck, Macmoodoff. Do not miss it and make sure
you guys tune in this Saturday. Myself Showbiz Live from
Las Vegas, our watch party for Ryan Garcia, Mario Borius.
The WBC belt is on the line. It's gonna be
a great night in Vegas. I want to see you
guys there. What happens this Saturday. What happens with Tyson Fury?

(34:27):
I don't have those answers, but I guess we'll find out.
All right, folks, we're back on the ring magazine presented
by the Way concept. That's not the right way, it's
the other way. But we're back. And yeah, I don't
know if I have words. No, I do have I
have a lot of words. But folks were actually getting
this shit. We are getting Mike Tyson versus Floyd Mayweather.
We talked about this a couple of months ago as

(34:49):
it was announced that those two were going to fight.

Speaker 5 (34:52):
For some reason.

Speaker 1 (34:53):
We just saw Mike Tyson look like he could barely
walk in the Jake Paul fight. In the highlight of
the night, watching Mike Tyson walk around, cheeks out in
the locker room and his bare ass being shown to
hundreds of millions of people on Netflix, that was the
highlight of the night.

Speaker 5 (35:09):
It wasn't the fight.

Speaker 1 (35:10):
It wasn't watching Mike barely be able to move and
lose all explosivity and do exactly what I thought he
would do at fifty eight years old. So this should
have been the final straw for Mike Tyson. That should
have been the one that goes, you know what, this
is not working out. I damn near he had apparently
damn near died of an ulcer or something like that
in training for the Jake Paul fight. He will be

(35:32):
sixty years old by the time this happens. On the
other side of things, you got Floyd rocking the freaking
pube cut. I'm sorry. It looks like he is found
a way to glue pubes onto his head and make
an actual hairline that he never had beforehand. And we
know that Floyd's in deep shit right now because he
is suing al Hamon and Showtime for three hundred and
forty million dollars. So it's understandable why Floyd is doing this.

(35:55):
And Floyd has done exhibition after exhibition to the point
where he's tarnished his drawing power in but we're going
to talk about all this, let's get started.

Speaker 2 (36:03):
What the fck is going on?

Speaker 1 (36:05):
Does anyone even give a shit about this or is
it just flat out sat I said on Twitter, get
ready for a night of embarrassing tendonitis and joint a
after all that we've seen from these two great fighters,
because it's going to be an absolute mess. But let's
talk about it the breakdown.

Speaker 2 (36:22):
Let's go.

Speaker 1 (36:24):
All right. So, like I said, this is from the
Ring magazine and Mike Coppinger, who broke this story. The
Mike Tyson Floyd Mayweather exhibition is tentatively set to take
place on April twenty fifth in the Congo. Sources have
told Mike Coppinger. So they got somebody in the Congo
to say yes to this. I guess this is not
Rumbling the jungle. This is stumble and bungle man. This

(36:46):
is not so. Yeah, apparently this is happening, and apparently
it's in the Congo. And not only that, but apparently
they have a date as well, because it's going to
be on April twenty fifth, sources tell Mike Coppinger.

Speaker 6 (36:58):
So.

Speaker 1 (36:58):
And in otherwise packed month of boxing, we have Derek
Chazora versus Deontay Wilder on the fourth, we have Tyson
Fury on the eleventh. Now we have Mike Tyson Floyd
Mayweather now again. I don't mind if either guy gets
paid again. We talk about Mike and his past financial issues.
I hope that that's not the same thing going on
with him now, even though who knows how this man

(37:19):
spends his money. He made a shit ton of money
to fight Jake Paul, and good for him. His name
value carried that fight and it did a crazy number.
I'm sure he'll make a crazy number here. But Floyd
Mayweather is the one that seems like he needs the
money more right now. Our guy, Andreas Hale wrote a
story that has kind of went somewhat viral.

Speaker 2 (37:36):
That's crazy to laugh faces.

Speaker 1 (37:37):
Although Floyd Mayweather Junior made hundreds of millions of dollars
from his professional boxing career and top the Forbes list
as the highest paid athlete from twenty twelve to twenty fourteen,
the boxer is said to have been short changed and
filed a multimillion dollar lawsuit against Showtime. The lawsuit, filed
Thursday excuse me Tuesday, and obtained by ESPN, seeks to
recover hundreds of millions of dollars, misappropriated funds and damages

(37:59):
resulting from a long running and elaborate scheme of financial fraud,
breaches in fiduciary duty, and conspiracy orchestrated by Floyd J.
Mayweather's former manager and advisor, al Haman, with the knowing
and substantial participation and aid of defendant Showtime Networks and
Steven Spinoza. Mayweather, who's forty eight, says he is owed

(38:19):
at least three hundred and forty million dollars and cites
a complex web of hidden accounts, unauthorized transactions, and deliberate
concealment of financial records as the reason he believes he's
been defrauded from those funds. Hayman is not named as
a defendant in the complaint, which is interesting because I
misspoken said he sued al Haman. He's essentially saying that

(38:40):
Showtime and al Haman colluded to not pay him with
Steven Espinoza. But then he doesn't name Hayman in the suit.

Speaker 2 (38:45):
Very odd.

Speaker 1 (38:46):
Anyway, it's a mess. And for those people that always
thought that Floyd Mayweather had financial troubles because of the
money he owed to the irs, because of the terrible,
terrible business and you know, real estate investments that he's
made in Apparently some of these have gone under, and
he is owed back rent or he is owing back rents,

(39:06):
and he is delinquent on a lot of payments for
a lot of different things. Right now, these things seem
to have added up for Floyd, and now it's pretty
apparent that not only is he doing these, you know,
bank robbery style exhibitions, but it looks like he absolutely
needs to do it, which is very, very sad. Listen,
I'm not the biggest fan of Floyd Mayweather as an
individual outside of the ring, but I never want to
see athletes have their money mismanaged or mismanage their own

(39:29):
money so badly that they go broke in retirement. And
it looks like it looks like that's kind of what's happening.
And here's a snippet from Business Insider because it made
me want to pay for the entire article. Business Insider
is reporting that Floyd Mayweather could be facing money trouble,
sighting and estimated fifty four million dollars in debt, property foreclosures,
multiple lawsuits piling up. This attorney strongly denies as any

(39:49):
kind of financial distress, but the headlines aren't slowing down.
Fifty four million alleged dollars in debt, so it makes
sense why they would want to do this, and it's
strictly for money.

Speaker 2 (39:58):
Let's be honest. This is a clear money grab. But
this is going to be a terrible fight.

Speaker 1 (40:02):
This is not going to be a fight that anyone
outside of watching Mike Tyson walk to the ring and
the idea that maybe he'll knock out the little guy
and Floyd that Tyson for a long time didn't like,
you know, for a long time, called Floyd a small
little angry man or a small little scared man because
he couldn't walk his kids to school by himself. Mainly
because Floyd had I don't know, Yeah, he kind of
disrespected Muhammad Ali, who was Mike Tyson's favorite fighter and

(40:26):
one that he would never put himself above. But Mike
sixty years old, and if there was a time for
Mike to get him and knock him out or whatever,
it never would have happened because they were in completely
different weight classes. And XYZ, if you wanted to settle
it outside of boxing, that's one thing. But now they're
stepping into this exhibition, there's not going to be any
weight classes obviously, and there's not going to be really
any winner to this, and I think we're all going

(40:47):
to lose. I think us, the fans, are going to
lose a big time because again, I told you guys
years ago that there is a certain brand of combat
sports that does diminish fight of the past, and it's
the crossover scen Listen.

Speaker 2 (41:02):
I'm a part of it.

Speaker 1 (41:03):
I've been a part of it for my entire existence
on YouTube. But I can still stand here and tell
you that there are certain fights that just shouldn't happen.
If Ander Holyfield should not have been fighting v tor
belfour on whatever that Triad promotion was and on Triller
and he looked awful because he was in his sixties,
and Vtor got to say he knocked down and knocked
out Evander Holyfield in everybody knows that in Evander Holyfield's

(41:24):
prime he would have done work to v tour belf
in boxing. Same with this right here. This never would
have been a prime for prime matchup. It would have
made no sense to have happened. But if it did,
Mike Tyson at two hundred and fifteen pounds, should he
land at all on Floyd Mayweather was going to send
him to a different stratosphere. Now again, we understand the
reasoning behind this, and I want both guys to get paid,

(41:46):
but this is just going to be sad. And this
is why I said, sometimes you need to preserve your legacy,
and I know Floyd's's legacy. Don't pay my bills, and
clearly he's got a lot to pay. Maybe the same
with Mike. But there's a certain portion of the population
that's going to look at these two and think, what,
this was the greatest heavyweight of an era. This was
the greatest boxer ever in Floyd Mayweather, that's the guy.
Both of them have trouble move. I mean, Floyd still

(42:08):
can move around, Floyd's still fluid, but Mike can barely move.
Floyd is not obviously anywhere close to what Floyd was,
and it's probably gonna be Floyd dancing on Mike the
entire time to a weird little like sparring session decision
exhibition ending thing right where they both get their hands raised,
no one gets touched, any sort of violence or anything,

(42:28):
and we leave going, yeah, that was super embarrassing. I
just either wasted my money or wasted my time. But hey,
good for Mike and Floyd that they got paid, you
know what I mean, Like, we're just they're asking us
to watch a boxing match. We're gonna go watch some
sort of attempt to perform, but it won't be anything
close to what we want. So yeah, man, I just
think it's sad. I think it's embarrassing for Floyd, mainly

(42:51):
that he needs to keep doing this, and maybe a
little bit for Mike. I just feel I feel more
bad for Mike than anything. I feel a little bit
more embarrassed for Floyd after flexing all that money for years,
years to have to come back and the taxman needs
his twenty mil and the debt collectors need their fifty mil,
and now he's in a lawsuit with Showtime because it's
clearly becoming a financial issue. With Floyd, that's an embarrassing

(43:12):
thing for him. But maybe the same with Mike. It's
just more sad. Like you look at Mike like, damn, dude,
this is what we have to do? Still this And
apparently Mike uh did an interview a couple of days
ago with someone at TMZ Sports. Let's take a look
at this, which again is probably gonna be super sad.

Speaker 6 (43:28):
Welcome to TMZ Sports. This is open mic on Mike
Babcock on the other side of the mic. We've got
the great Mike Tyson.

Speaker 2 (43:36):
Dude, say Mike one more time, Mike Badcock?

Speaker 5 (43:39):
Is that what he called himself?

Speaker 1 (43:40):
Look at Mike's face, dude, he looks like if you
punched him one more time.

Speaker 6 (43:44):
He turned a dust bousally. We were excited about you
and Floyd. Is that still happening or is that yeah?

Speaker 3 (43:52):
Yeah?

Speaker 5 (43:54):
You think I give that up. I was minding my business.

Speaker 3 (43:58):
He challenged me. You look good.

Speaker 6 (44:00):
How you're feeling physically incredible?

Speaker 1 (44:03):
You've been training, Listen, I was winning the extra loge.

Speaker 6 (44:06):
It looks like I'm wear large now looking good man
still looking scary.

Speaker 2 (44:11):
Okay.

Speaker 1 (44:12):
So that was literally the only answer we got. That
he's looking good and that he used to wear an
extra large and now he's wearing large. He does look
like he has lost some weight, so I guess there's
something there. And Mike was always a physical freakazoid that.

Speaker 2 (44:23):
Made no sense.

Speaker 1 (44:24):
It made no sense how he looked. Coming up to
the Jake Paul fight, he had abs again, which was
crazy at fifty eight turning fifty nine, Man, if I
have a portion of that still left at that age,
then fair play to him. But yeah, man, this is sad.
I don't have any other words other than just this
is disappointing. It's I mean, it speaks to the real
problem in single athlete sports and really all sports.

Speaker 2 (44:47):
If you're mismanaging your money.

Speaker 1 (44:48):
And listen, there's a lot of money in boxing right now,
and there was a lot of money in boxing when
Mike Tyson was great, and there was a lot of
money in boxing when Floyd was great. But if you
don't have the right people around you, if you have
people you can't trust, and it shows how house how
many this business has been for.

Speaker 2 (45:01):
A very long time.

Speaker 1 (45:02):
The Don King robbery of Mike Tyson, apparently allegedly Floyd
is saying Showtime and Al Hayman have done the same
to him. We'll see how true that is. But if
you're out here mismanaging your money, or people are mismanaging
and stealing your money, I don't want to say you
have yourself to blame, because not necessarily the fighter's fault. Ever,
they need to be educated, which is why I think
if you do have some of these sanctioning bodies taking percentages,

(45:26):
then there needs to be just like the UFC does
with their fighters, and there needs to be a business
management course every single year at some of these meetups
at the WBA, WBC. There needs to be a couple
of times a year where fighters, if they're going to
come and come to these you know, three day weekends
for these sanctioning bodies to put on these events and
they speak. There needs to be some sort of of

(45:46):
seminar on how to you know, find the right person
to help them with their taxes, how to say for retirement,
how to put things away in a trust or or
a will or life insurance and investing their money into
proper places, and just all the stuff that fighters have
no idea how to do versus spend it on stuff
that doesn't matter and watching it go by the wayside

(46:06):
when the taxman comes calling. This is what I'm calling
this fight, the taxman fight. This is the I need
money fight. This is the fight to pay Uncle Sam
and not fighting.

Speaker 2 (46:15):
For Uncle Sam.

Speaker 1 (46:16):
I just I don't know, man, I'm making jokes, but
it is kind of it's not even kind of. It's
super disappointing that two legends of the sport have to
do this. Still, I said it in the Jake Paul
Mike Tyson fight.

Speaker 2 (46:27):
I'll say it here.

Speaker 1 (46:29):
You can't put lipstick on a pig with these two.

Speaker 2 (46:31):
Especially.

Speaker 1 (46:32):
We know what we get from Mike, we know what
we get from Floyd. This is going to be absolutely nothing,
like we're gonna sit here and watch nothing, and yeah,
I'm gonna watch it for sure, I'm gonna cover it
if it's just for the sole reason of saying, yeah,
this is not what we need and highlighting what can't
happen to this new generation of fighters that are getting
paid very well. They don't manage their money properly. It's embarrassing.

(46:53):
It is a sign of the times. And all I
hope is that both guys come out okay and no
one's seriously injured and or the fight, and they make
as much money as they can because Floyd definitely needs it,
Mike seems like he needs it, and I wish him
both the best. But yeah, I can't believe we're still
doing this. I can't believe this fight is still on.
And prepare yourselves, drink your meta musile, get the freaking

(47:17):
icy hot out, and get ready to read a bedtime
story because the old men are fighting and it's probably
ruining their legacies. But legacy, I guess doesn't feed them
or pay for their families, or their life insurance or
their retirements. And they seem to not have done that before,
so they need to do it now. What happens on
April twenty fifth in the Congo the stumble and bungle

(47:37):
between Mike Tyson and Floyd Mayweather. I have no idea
I show both guys are okay to get paid. I
guess we'll find out, all right. So we are back
on the way concept presented by the Ring Magazine. And yes,
I'm in Las Vegas. I can look out my window
right there and see the Not sure what the hotel is,
but it's a nice one. And of course we are
here because of the high stakes. Ryan Garcia Mario Barrios

(47:59):
Ring Magazine car this weekend.

Speaker 2 (48:01):
Yep, I went and got the head shaved.

Speaker 1 (48:03):
I'm feeling like it's a new beginning for me and
the winner of this fight's gonna have a new beginning
for their career because for Mario Barrios, the last two
fights have been draws. And I'm not talking about ass.
I mean he is not won the last two fights
he's had as a world champion. I don't even know
how that's possible, but it is. He's had two straight
draws and he's looking to start anew with this Ryan

(48:25):
Garcia fight. A way to get him big, massive fights
at one hundred and forty seven pounds, and for Ryan Garcia,
it's a world title shot.

Speaker 2 (48:31):
It's one where he still.

Speaker 1 (48:32):
Has to make the weight as of the recording of
this video, but this will be the second official title
shot of Ryan Garcia's career.

Speaker 2 (48:38):
The first he loses to Roly Romero.

Speaker 1 (48:40):
Now he has Mario Barrios, and I am noticing something
between these two that I think is the key element
in who I am picking the wins.

Speaker 2 (48:48):
So let's talk about it. My final thoughts, my final
prediction on who wins Ryan Garcia versus Mario Barrios.

Speaker 1 (48:53):
The breakdown. Let's go, all right, So, Number one, they
had the press conference today for Ryan and Mario, and
I was there in person, and the vibe was very
toned down. There wasn't a lot of back and forth
between Ryan or Mario or even Ryan and Joe Goosen
as former coach. There didn't seem to be a lot

(49:14):
of animosity. There didn't seem to be a lot of energy,
I'll be honest, from either guy, and I think part
of that is because they are both cutting a lot
of weight. Mario Barrios is a huge one hundred and
forty seven pounds. Huge as far as his height, his size.
I think he said he started his career at one
hundred and twenty two pounds, which is insane, Ryan Garcia.

(49:35):
It felt like two years ago, was you know, a
little bit too big for one hundred and thirty five pounds,
especially with the rehydration, you know, the Tank Davis fight,
But he was moving up in weight. But now I'm
gonna be honest, now it looks like he's having trouble
making one hundred and forty seven pounds and so on
the stage today and as you guys will take a
look at the face off here, but on the stage
today they were very quiet, very reserved. But I noticed

(49:55):
something during their face to face and here it was,
first off, let's check the feet, all right, just just
to confirm.

Speaker 2 (50:08):
I had some suspicions here.

Speaker 1 (50:09):
Mario Barrios is huge and he's towering over Ryan Garcia.
I checked the feet because I'm looking for lifts. Does
he have any sort of lift in the shoe. I
don't see it, just a regular Uh, this has gotta
be a Jordan, right, I don't know shoes, this is
a Jordan.

Speaker 2 (50:23):
Ryan's got his shoes on.

Speaker 1 (50:24):
Cool, He's say, but it might be angles. But I'm
looking at that, and I'm like, man, Ryan's had a
pretty hefty height and reach disadvantage here.

Speaker 2 (50:33):
Now again, what would this mean in terms of like
how the fight plays out?

Speaker 5 (50:36):
I don't know.

Speaker 1 (50:36):
Ryan Garcia definitely has been the taller guy in most fights.

Speaker 2 (50:40):
I mean the Luke Campbell fight maybe not, but he's
been the taller guy for the most part.

Speaker 1 (50:43):
And we're talking about, you know, from one hundred and
thirty five pounds to one forty seven. Now, it's a
big jump, it is. And Ryan even is looking big
for that weight class, right look at him, he looks
like he's kind of sucked down. Mario's got the hoodie
on so he can't really see it, and he's already
kind of a lanky guy, so it probably isn't gonna,
you know, look too crazy different from from Barrios, but
both guys obviously looked locked in.

Speaker 2 (51:03):
Both guys look ready to go.

Speaker 1 (51:05):
Joe Goosen, I don't know if he's wearing that jacket
or that jacket's wearing him goodness, no shirt underneath.

Speaker 2 (51:10):
It is crazy, Joe.

Speaker 1 (51:11):
But I see in this moment, assize this event for
Ryan Garcia, and let's talk about why this fight could
be a major problem for Ryan Garcia not saying that
it is, and we'll get to you know what I
think about the matchup in a second. Ryan has put
every single thing into this training camp. Ryan is not
taken short from what we hear, he hasn't taken shortcuts.
He hasn't been drinking, he has n't been goofing off.

(51:32):
He doesn't have a team necessarily, and he's not the
same team he's back with his dad, and the team
they've surrounded him with is not like a you know,
at least not from what I've heard, a.

Speaker 2 (51:42):
Official, you know, boxing coach, whatever.

Speaker 1 (51:44):
It's his dad, and his dad did lead him to
fifteen and zero before they you know, brought in Joe Goosen,
and they brought in Eddie Renozo and you know, Derek
James and all those guys. But Ryan is locked in,
at least this is what we're hearing from him. There
is no party and no drinking, no substance abuse, however
you want to take that. And so if he does
have this mentality that this is what he needs to do,
what happens if that gets broken?

Speaker 3 (52:05):
Right?

Speaker 1 (52:05):
What happens if he does question himself when he's in there,
if he does not have the success that he wants
to have early on, and then the snowball starts to
roll downhill. Because when you look at this matchup, Mario
Barrios is a great fundamental boxer. He's not maybe the
most skilled boxer, and he doesn't maybe have the best
defensive decision making As a world champion, he gets hit

(52:25):
with a lot of punches and he will bite down
on the mouthpiece and go at you. But he has
good fundamental punching right, He has good hand placement, He
does things correctly, and he's a world champion for a reason.

Speaker 2 (52:36):
He knows how to win fights.

Speaker 1 (52:37):
Now, if Ryan isn't able to and you go back
to the Roly fight and you're gonna say, Okay, what
Ryan really showed up in the Rely fight?

Speaker 2 (52:44):
Do we know he's gonna be that same guy or
are we gonna see the killer.

Speaker 1 (52:47):
That Ryan was before that Roly shut down the lead
hand of Ryan Gerson, and when he did that, Ryan
didn't have much else to go to. I've said for
years now that I think Ryan should develop his right
hand more, and he's hurting guys with his right hand before.
But it isn't that lethal weapon right that you think
about when Ryan throws. You imagine if you thought Ryan
was gonna throw the left hand, but he also had
a lethal right hand. Now you got to make a

(53:08):
decision on what you want to get hit with right now.
Everybody knows that Ryan wants to hit you with the
lead hook. Everybody knows, and so if he doesn't hit
you with the lead hook, you can make do with
him hitting you with the right hand, or you know,
letting go his backhand, because the lead hook is where
all the problems starts. So if Ryan is able to
develop a right hand here, things can be different. But
that's the danger here for Ryan Garcia. You don't get
him out early, your confidence starts to wane and shake,

(53:29):
and Barrio starts putting a performance together that's better than
his last two fights, or he comes in looking way
better than his last two fights.

Speaker 2 (53:35):
If you look at the way he looked against back Hew, the.

Speaker 1 (53:37):
Way he gets looked against Able Ramos, Ryan Garcia should
knock out Mario Barrios inside of five rounds, five or
six rounds. But this Barrios is not going to come
in that way.

Speaker 2 (53:45):
I don't think.

Speaker 1 (53:46):
I don't see we're going I don't think we're going
to see a super hesitant Mario Barrios. I think he's
gonna get straight to work and try to get into
Ryan pause. I think he's gonna step straight to him
and see what Ryan has problem is, that's kind.

Speaker 2 (53:57):
Of what Ryan likes for you to do.

Speaker 1 (53:58):
He kind of likes for you till lead the exchange
and then he's gonna throw his left hook in between.
So let's talk about that side of things. Ryan Garcia
is a great offensive CounterPunch. I mean, he'll lead the
dance right, he'll throw his jab out there, stingy with
the right hand. But it's all window dressing to get
you to fire back. And when you do fire back,
whether it's with a right hand lead, which I think
if Mario Barrios tries to lead exchanges with his right hand,

(54:20):
whether it's downstairs or upstairs, consistently, he's going to get
knocked out with the left took. I know that's not
you know, me being no stra damis. But you have
to put your jab in Ryan's face or to his
body to set up what you want to go to,
and especially your own lead hand. That's where Ryan is
most vulnerable. His best attack is also where he's most vulnerable.
He gets hit with more left hooks than any other

(54:41):
punch to the body end Upstairs now again mostly South
Paul's and caught him with that, but Roley just caught
him with one. So both these guys can be hit.
Both guys susceptible to being knocked down and knocked out
or stopped whatever. But what Ryan does so well is
make you fight the way he wants to win. He
is offensive, right, you go back to the Devin Hainey fight.
Somehow he he got Devin Haney. It was maybe the

(55:01):
emotional play, but he got Devin Haney to stay with
him in the pocket and try to throw timing for timing,
speed for speed, accuracy for accuracy, and Ryan clipp him
with the left hook and it was early, and it
was a tone setter, and it changed the fight. I
could see something very similar happening here. I could see
Mario Barrios trying to stick it on Ryan, show him
I'm the champion. I'm gonna come.

Speaker 2 (55:20):
Walk straight at you, hit you with the jab, hit
you with the lead hand, and try.

Speaker 1 (55:24):
And Barrios has been saying this, try to get you
to think in there, think and you know, play mind
games with yourself and start to doubt yourself. That's what
Barrios wants to do. But something that was interesting in
this press conference. I don't know if you guys heard it,
and really throughout this whole camp, you know, Brios is
not a big talker, and either is Joe Goosen. And
Ryan has been talking his stuff, and you know he's
been he's been doing a lot of the promo, a

(55:46):
lot of the heavy lifting for this promo.

Speaker 2 (55:48):
But one thing at the press conference today.

Speaker 1 (55:49):
I only heard Joe Goosen kind of slightly say that
Barrios was gonna win. I know, again, you shouldn't have
to have your coach being out there. We're gonna knock
this guy out. We're gonna take it, you know it,
take it all, take his heart, We're gonna But it
didn't inspire.

Speaker 2 (56:02):
Confidence the way.

Speaker 1 (56:03):
I don't know, maybe it was just me, but I
didn't when when Joe Goosen was talking about Mario Barrios.
He was saying all the right stuff. You know, Brios
has been a model fighter in the camp. He has
exceeded expectations. But when it came down to Chris Mannix
asking Joe out was gonna go, He's like, well, I.

Speaker 2 (56:16):
Bet on my guy.

Speaker 1 (56:17):
You know, I back my guy, and I'm not saying
he should lie. But I'm also like, why wouldn't you
just say my fighter is going we're going to win.
We put the work into win, and we're going to win,
whether it's by knockout or decision.

Speaker 2 (56:29):
We're gonna be the better fighter.

Speaker 5 (56:30):
Very weird.

Speaker 1 (56:31):
He didn't, And there was also like a miscommunication on
what Joe had done versus what Barrios had done in camp.
It was like Marios is like, oh, you know, we
just tweaked some things, and Joe was seeing like, no,
we did a complete overhaul of things.

Speaker 2 (56:41):
And I was like, we don't sound like we're on
the same page here.

Speaker 1 (56:43):
I don't know. It was a it was a weird
thing to listen to at the presseror today. And then
on the other side you hear Henry Garcia Ryan Garcia
both saying like you are going to see a Ryan
Garcia that is ferocious, deadly, a guy that you haven't
seen in his in his last fight with Roli. But
guy focus, locked in and has a purpose again right
and they it sounded way more confident on the Ryan

(57:05):
Garcia side.

Speaker 2 (57:06):
Again, how much do you put into that? It is
what it is?

Speaker 1 (57:09):
But when I look at the actual fight, I think
that both guys. Like I said, both guys are able
to be hit. Both guys do take a lot of risks.
But only one of those guys is fast enough to
get away with taking a lot of risks, and that's
Ryan Garcia. When Barrios does decide to stay in the
pocket for longer exchanges again, especially with lead hand exchanges
to the body or upstairs, I don't think his hand speed,

(57:31):
his decision making is fast enough or ingrained enough to
avoid that left hook or to avoid the left hook
right hand. Again, I think Ryan's right hand might be
the shot that hurts Barrios badly.

Speaker 2 (57:44):
In this fight.

Speaker 1 (57:44):
Barrios has been clipped by right hands through the guard,
straight piercing right hands and then over the top right
hands as well. And if you look at some of
Ryan Garcia's pad work again, everybody throws right hands if
you're an orthodox fighter, so it doesn't really mean a lot.
But you see him work, working exclusively, like turning his
right hand over more stabbing with his right hand and
then boom over the top with it as well, working

(58:06):
the straight right and the hook and the overhand of it.
And again you you go back and watch Mario Barrios
and Abel Ramos and Able Ramos hit him with a
straight right hand through the guard that dropped Barrios, hurt
him bad, and somehow Barrios, you know, got out of
that fight with a draw, even though I thought he
lost that fight. I thought he lost the many back
yall fight too. So there's a lot for Barrios to
fight for here. And it's not like we don't know

(58:26):
what he wants to bring to Ryan. He wants to
beat him up, use his size advantage and pose his will,
shut down Ryan's confidence and take him into deeper water
where Ryan's power may not hold up the same or
word Barrios' size, and again his forward motor runs Ryan
over in the later round. That's to me, that is
clear what both guys kind.

Speaker 2 (58:44):
Of want to do.

Speaker 1 (58:45):
I think Ryan wants to stick him with the left hand,
finish him with the right hand, or vice versa. Be
quick fast, he ready to capitalize on a slower, more
methodical pace from Barrios and hit him with something he
doesn't see.

Speaker 2 (58:56):
Right.

Speaker 1 (58:56):
That's what Ryan's best at is being a freak athlete
that with light fast hand speed that hits you when
you think you're saying in between exchanges, in between your punches,
and listen, I know everybody is taking this pick right now,
and I'm probably gonna hit Ryan with the Wade curse,
but I'm taking Ryan Garcia.

Speaker 2 (59:13):
I'm gonna take him by stoppage.

Speaker 1 (59:14):
Despite that being my prediction, I don't I'm not sold
that Ryan Garcia is just a clear cut favorite to
win a decision if it were to go to right.
I think Barrios, if it is a decision fight, has
a hell of a lot of a chance to win
it right because that wouldn't tell me that either Barrios
found a way to get off the canvas and fight
back or that Brios never went to the canvas. And
if that's the case, I think Barrios does win this fight.

(59:37):
If Ryan doesn't hurt him at all in this fight,
like put him on wobble legs or send him to
the canvas at least once, and then Barrios is probably
gonna win this fight. Ryan outclassing in masterclass boxing Mario
Barrios could happen. But that's not really in Ryan's wheelhouse, right,
It's not really how he fights. So I'm going with
Ryan by stoppage, but don't be surprised if it goes
the other way, because I know a lot of people

(59:58):
are jumping on this ran right now after you know,
seeing him transform and lock into camp and seeing Barrios
be very vulnerable to being hit, and this is why
I'm also picking him as well. But I just I
just think Barrios is too slow. I think his reaction
time to things, I think he's a bit too methodical.
And we'll see how his punch resistance to hold up.
If he can hold up at forty seven and Ryan's

(01:00:20):
power doesn't carry to forty seven, then we may have
a different discussion. I'm gonna go Ryan by let's say,
seventh round knockout. I'm gonna say Ryan in the seventh
round knocks out Mario Barrios, and I'll be honest, Yes,
Ryan winning is better for box It's not even a
discussion to be had. If Ryan wins boxing, gets a
face with a belt, if Mario wins, are gonna have

(01:00:40):
other options for him, and maybe he gets the boost
off Ryan Garcia.

Speaker 2 (01:00:43):
But personality wise, it's not even close.

Speaker 1 (01:00:46):
Who the fans cheer for, who they root for. That's
not how boxing works. Doesn't matter how pretty you are,
how many social media followers you got. I'm just saying
for the sport itself and the fandom, Ryan versus Shakor
Stevens and Ryan versus Connor Ben, Ryan versus Devin Haney
and the rena, there are a lot more intriguing fights
to me, but doesn't mean that that's what's gonna happen.
And Mario Barrios is looking to absolutely shock everyone, and

(01:01:08):
I'm telling you he absolutely can do it. But I'm
taking Ryan anyway by knockout seventh round. You guys, let
me know what you think down below. It's my final pick.
I know the curse is out there. Do we break
the curse this time around?

Speaker 2 (01:01:19):
Don't have those answers, but I guess we'll find out.

Speaker 1 (01:01:21):
Oh my goodness, ladies and gentlemen, welcome back to the
way Coots Dept. Presented by The Ring Magazine and Boxing officially.

Speaker 2 (01:01:28):
Just went to war.

Speaker 1 (01:01:30):
If you guys don't know, the sport of boxing has
entered a new era and we all should know by now.
That means the introduction of Zoofa Boxing and the potential
of the sanctioning bodies, other promoters, fighters moving left and right,
and complete chaos throughout the sport. We knew this was
coming when Dana White got into boxing, but we maybe

(01:01:53):
didn't know what was gonna be this fast. Because as
of about five minutes ago, as right as I'm about
to go over and watch the Mario Barrios, Ryan Garcia
away ns, the gauntlet was just dropped. Connor Benn has
signed to Zoofa Boxing. That's right, one of Mattroom's key
stable members you had at Mattroom, Anthony Joshua, Katie Taylor

(01:02:15):
and Connor Ben. That's been the stable for Eddie Hearn
to essentially boost Matchroom up through the next generation and
kind of carry that torch and now his biggest cash
cow outside of I would say Anthony Joshua just jumped
shit to not only a different promoter, but a promoter
he's been going back and forth with the last couple
of weeks Dana White, who's gone back and forth with

(01:02:37):
Eddie Hearn.

Speaker 2 (01:02:37):
You can see sides are being taken.

Speaker 1 (01:02:39):
On this side you have Turkey, Ala Shap, Dana White, Sella,
Nick con Paramount Plus, maybe even Netflix. And on the
other side you have Eddie Hearn, the Zone, Anthony Joshua,
Katie Taylor, you know, Frank Warren, what's left of Golden Boy.
You're seeing a civil war. And just as a couple
of days ago, this is what White was saying as

(01:03:01):
this beef between Dana and Eddie Hearn ZUFA boxing matchroom
has started to get more and more intense. This is
what Dana had to say just a couple of days ago.
It was already gonna make a video about this, But
now the storyline gets even juice here.

Speaker 9 (01:03:13):
Let's take a listen, mat Me pushedback. This is like
beating up babies. I feel like I came in and
I'm beating up babies. I expected more.

Speaker 1 (01:03:24):
Do you see now Dana's smiling here, but do you
see him laughing? Do you see him joking about this
comment about beating up babies? He is absolutely going for
the neck of the sport of boxing right now. It
was a very quiet entry from ZUFA and so far
it hasn't been a lot of you know, big time plays. Yes,
the Canelo and Crawford was promoted by Dana White alongside

(01:03:46):
Turkeyella Shake on Netflix.

Speaker 2 (01:03:47):
That was a big time entry.

Speaker 1 (01:03:48):
But as far as ZUFA Boxing's concerned, they've been a
lot of shows in the UFCPI and not, you know,
not in front of a lot of people. You could
tell something was built. And seeing the ZUFA shows, they
look a lot like the UFC. And we know that
the UFC took over the sport of mma and did
it relatively easily through. Yes, the finance of the Fertida Brothers,
but the vision of Dana White, Turkeylla Shak right here,

(01:04:09):
same thing, the finance of Sela, the finance of Turkey
Ella Shake. The vision of Dana White is starting to
take place here in ZUFU.

Speaker 2 (01:04:16):
Let's keep going.

Speaker 9 (01:04:17):
I expected some pushback. I expected I expected some I
don't know them gonna be more game this. They're all
way out of their league, like absolutely positively out of
their league.

Speaker 2 (01:04:36):
I told you this was gonna happen.

Speaker 1 (01:04:38):
Go back and find the video where Dana White and
ZUFA officially announced they were getting into boxing. I told
you it was going to change the sport. I told
you they were probably going to take over the sport.

Speaker 2 (01:04:46):
Now that's not happening yet.

Speaker 1 (01:04:47):
This today is a massive, massive, astonishing shocking. I never
would have thought type of acquisition for ZUOFA getting Connor Benn. Again,
we'll get to that in a second. But I told
you when Dana White started to talking about getting into boxing,
he kept saying, this is a sport that it's killed itself.
This is a sport that has been mismanaged, misrun, and

(01:05:08):
because of it, it's going to make it that much
easier for us to come in and do what we'd like.
And again he was very coy about that early on,
but turke Yllashak was turk Yllashak was saying stuff like, yeah,
we're gonna take this sport over. That seems to be
now Dana talking more brash, more emboldened to say things
like this like I expected more of a fun These
guys have no idea what's coming, and now we're seeing it.

Speaker 9 (01:05:29):
Eddie Hearn says, all this guy's a visionary or you know,
you know a guy's been in boxing forever. I look
at him like most politicians. You've done nothing in the
sport except stay in the lane and you know, play
by all the rules and you know, ride right along
with what's but you're you ended up becoming part of
the problem.

Speaker 1 (01:05:49):
Is what happened.

Speaker 9 (01:05:50):
And I don't want to sit here and smash Eddy
Hearn or anything else. But Eddie Hearn works for his dad,
you know what I mean. He works for dad, And
you know, I don't think he's come in and I
ever had any type of vision whereas we do, and
we're gonna We're gonna change the entire sport.

Speaker 1 (01:06:10):
You understand how personal. Dana White just made this entire thing.
This is after their fourth zoofa show. He is going
directly at Eddie Hearn. This was a couple of days
ago where he said these guys don't have vision, and
I disagree with him. I think Eddie Earn has a
great vision for the sport, and I think what he's
doing with match Room, their new deal with his own.

Speaker 2 (01:06:27):
Is a big deal.

Speaker 1 (01:06:27):
But Dana is operating on a different wavelength clearly, and
when he says that Eddie is only in this sport
because he works for his daddy. That's not only a
personal shot, but that's a declaration of war to me.
That says, listen, I'm now ready to play at the
highest level. I'm ready to play the game. ZUFA doesn't
have like a massive event just yet, but they are

(01:06:49):
essentially signaling that they are ready to play with the
big boys right out of the gate, because he's going
after Eddie Hearn, who is the biggest promoter. I would say,
by himself, solo dolo, maybe him and Frank boxing right
or they were until Dana White decided to get into
the sport. And you hear that the verbiage playing by
the rules, status quo, you became part of the problem.
They definitely had a plan, and Dana started talking like

(01:07:11):
this this week because he knew he had something under
the sleeve. I don't have any sleeves on, but you
get the point. And none of us saw this coming.

Speaker 9 (01:07:17):
I understand the people who are the status quo in
boxing don't like it, but it doesn't mean they can't
still do their thing. If your thing is as good
as you think it is, and you were as good
as you think you are, then do your thing. Good
luck to you. I'm gonna do my thing and they're
gonna do theirs. Eddie Hern and his dad have a
lot of money. You know, it's not like they can't compete.

(01:07:40):
They can't compete because they don't know how to compete.
There's no vision there.

Speaker 7 (01:07:46):
You know.

Speaker 9 (01:07:47):
I don't know how else to explain it other than that.
And listen, I'm sitting here my third fight in. I mean,
either right or I'm wrong.

Speaker 1 (01:07:57):
Now again, We'll get back to the money talking second,
because the money talk is a big part of this.

Speaker 2 (01:08:02):
Let's be honest.

Speaker 1 (01:08:04):
You guys know that my show is licensed by the
Ring magazine, but we all know that they have money,
needs to spend. And when we start talking about daddy's
and who's in the business, I don't know if Eddie
and his dad can keep up dollar for dollar.

Speaker 2 (01:08:16):
As a matter of fact, it's not that I don't know.

Speaker 1 (01:08:18):
I know they can't with Turkey ella shit and his
investment is in Sella and their investment is I know
that's not true. They can't.

Speaker 2 (01:08:24):
So when Dana's talking about.

Speaker 1 (01:08:25):
Competing, yeah, he is competing with a loaded deck, right.
He has a lot more things to throw out there
to get these massive signings and Connor beIN's the first
massive name signing. But they also have Gio Opataiah, the
best probably boxer on their roster. I even probably the
best boxer on their rosters. Giopataiah the best cruiser weight
on the planet. So now you have Opataiah and you
have Connor Benn. But before we get I know, I'm

(01:08:48):
taking the long scenic rout here, before we get to that,
did Dana know then? This was on February fifteen, five
days ago. Did he know then that this was coming
down the line? He was sending a shot at Eddie
knowing something that Eddie didn't, because at the time it
just seemed like trash talk. At the time, it just
seemed like a declaration we're in this game you're gonna
have to deal with. But now it seems like premonition.

(01:09:08):
Now it seems like foresight and telling the future to Eddie, like, buddy,
not only are we saying you don't know what you're doing,
or not only are we saying you're not equipped for
this war, but we're about to show you. I don't
know if Eddie knew this was coming either, because here
is his response to Dana, just a couple of days later.

Speaker 8 (01:09:23):
Dana, Why, yeah, mate, Well justh Barry Hearn's son.

Speaker 5 (01:09:27):
We've got him already. What did it take a month
to allow him to get baby? Well, that's I mean,
that's a sick mind for one. I don't know what
the fuck he was talking about there. That's quite quite disturbing,
if I'm honest with you, it's very strange. Because I've
got to be honest with you. I wouldn't say up
my ass. But Dane's always been so complimentary about us

(01:09:49):
as a company and me as a promoter. But to
say that I don't have any vision, he's really strike strange.
I mean, right now, when you talk about Zippha's or
whoever it's got, what are you talking about that vision?
What's that vision? Book game? Max Kenneman to head.

Speaker 2 (01:10:07):
We'll get into this a second.

Speaker 1 (01:10:09):
But watching this now, after learning that Connor Benn has
just jumped ship from Mattroom, it's not a great look
for Eddie. This at the time when Eddie put this out,
or when he did this interview with with Charlie Parsons,
it was a ten ad to Eddie. He Clappen back
at Dana. We didn't know if Dana had any It
seems like Eddie didn't know that this was going on
behind his bat and that's what makes this even worse.

(01:10:30):
It's like, damn, because had nothing been different, had Connor
still been with Mattroom, all the things that he's saying
here are good joust.

Speaker 2 (01:10:37):
Back and forth, verbal, you know, shots across the back.

Speaker 1 (01:10:40):
But now knowing the reality that Connor Benn was working
on a deal with Dana White this entire time, and
Edie's like, well, I don't have any vision, what are
you talking about? Kind of proves him not right, but
kind of shows that Dana was not playing above board.
He was playing dirty and he went behind your back
like a swing dancer.

Speaker 5 (01:10:55):
Everyone that callum wooh, she's the next Roy Jones or
put in Charles mind on a headline show on a
Sunday night in front of one hundred and twenty six people,
and you garage in a ring that looks like you've
just got it out of a local club show. Who's
a fucking vision?

Speaker 13 (01:11:09):
Is that?

Speaker 3 (01:11:10):
Oh?

Speaker 5 (01:11:10):
Best? They'll oh no, no, it's a belt. It's that
fun look at the vision. That's not vision, that's control
it is.

Speaker 1 (01:11:17):
But it's both to me because what you've seen over
the last couple of weeks, really really over the last
couple of months, is that this idea that you know,
fighters grow up wanting to fight for.

Speaker 2 (01:11:28):
The WBC, the WBC, the WBA, the WBO, the IBF.
It's bullshit.

Speaker 1 (01:11:33):
And I know that boxing historians are gonna say that's
short sighted and that I didn't understand the history of
the sport to be saying that, But look at what
these sanctioning body heads are doing. They're begging for money
from fighters, even if they're not defending that belt. They
are begging for their percentage. This is the only service
they seem to provide. And then when you see what
those potential funds are used for. Hell, I'm at the

(01:11:55):
Ryan Garcia Mario Barrios fight. I've seen Ricio Suliman hold
up that stupid ass for twenty thousand dollars chain, talking
about the winner gets this. Who gives a shit. We
don't care if you get them a nice chain, or
if you redo the belt for the fiftieth time, or
because there's four sanctioning bodies, they means they have to
go win all four belts to be the real.

Speaker 2 (01:12:12):
Chance to be the undisputed champ.

Speaker 1 (01:12:14):
We have four champions walking around calling themselves the world champions,
and it dissuades the common fan from watching and understanding
who the real champ is because, for the most part,
up until recently Turkeyella Shake getting into the sport.

Speaker 2 (01:12:25):
We haven't seen best fight best.

Speaker 1 (01:12:26):
We haven't seen fighters take risks because they don't have to.
They can hold their belt, they can fight their mandatory,
they can drop their belt, go get a different belt,
still be a world champ. Not fight the toughest guy,
Not fight the number one, not fight the undisputed. I'm
not saying the ZUFFA belt is going to be the
most world recognized belt anytime soon. But what it will
do is that he said there, it will create control

(01:12:47):
of the narrative. It'll create control of the sport in
terms of what a champion is, which is the one
singular best in the world. And the sanctioning bodies have
themselves to blame here, and I'm talking about all four
creating around like their belt's the best. And this is
why even if you don't fight for their belt or
you don't pay your sanctioning fee, they're gonna pull your
belt and onto the next, and fighters are starting to

(01:13:09):
say we don't care. Chakor doesn't care, Terence Crawford doesn't care,
Keishaan Davis doesn't care. How many more guys are gonna
start to take that pattern because the best in the
world isn't determined by the color of the belt.

Speaker 2 (01:13:20):
It's determined by who you beat. Are you the baddest
on the planet for your weight class?

Speaker 1 (01:13:24):
So Eddie's right, it does create control and ZUPFA will
operate not just as a promotion but as a league
I assume, which is gonna be an interesting thing because
how are they going to do business with people outside
of it.

Speaker 2 (01:13:34):
I don't know any of these ins and outs yet.
I don't know.

Speaker 1 (01:13:36):
Is Jaiopataia gonna be, you know, the ZUPFHA champion and
for go the rest of his belt?

Speaker 5 (01:13:40):
I don't know, because the reality is when he says
we can't compete, they can't compete in this cutthroat world
of boxing because it's a horrible world and they don't
want to compete. They want to create their own world.

Speaker 1 (01:13:51):
But listen, I mean, yeah, that's true. They're creating their
own thing because boxing. To me, I agree with Dana
on this is it's fundamentally broken. It's so scattered and
it's spread out so thin, through so many weight divisions,
through so many champions and so many belts, that it's
hard to get a casual audience to invest into the

(01:14:12):
sport when they don't know who the champion is, when
there's so many weight classes that there's tons of people
fighting that you have never heard.

Speaker 2 (01:14:19):
Of, champions you've never heard of.

Speaker 1 (01:14:21):
You can't go into the UFC's rolodex and find a
champion you haven't heard of. If you're a casual fan
of MMA, you know the champions, you know past champions,
you know women's champion. And in boxing, yes it's a
bigger sport with more people taking part in different areas,
and yes that means more opportunities, which I'm a fan of.
But the point is there is a fundamental problem. The

(01:14:42):
system in boxing is broken. And while Eddie is right
that ZUFA is not going to play the same game
that everybody else has been playing, and yes that's going
to mean a whole separate Aliact revision, it's also gonna
mean they don't have to compete in your game, but
they are going to compete for your talent. They have
no talent.

Speaker 2 (01:14:56):
Whether you're ZUFA or Matchroom or anybody else your business.

Speaker 5 (01:15:00):
This is broaken home when you compare Mattroom shows to
ZUFFA shows. Quite frankly, Zuffa shows are absolute complete dogshit.
But they're going to get better and they're going to
sign some big fighters.

Speaker 2 (01:15:11):
It's just they've done three shows. That's yeah.

Speaker 1 (01:15:14):
That's the tough part is like he's right, compared to
Mattroom shows, Zuffa hasn't done anything. He was absolutely right
when he said this, but they've also only done three
shows and they're.

Speaker 5 (01:15:23):
Going to spunk some money. They're going to waste some money.
I've said it before. They're clever people, but right now
they're trying to manipulate fight fans and they don't understand
how intelligent fight fans are. When he comes to boxing,
you can't create these cards and tell everyone it's the
best feed of best because it's quite frankly not. And
the reality is, yes, I do work for my dad,
but guess what dad. Dana White has worked for his

(01:15:45):
daddy for a long time. The Fatisa Brothers, that's who
he worked for. And right now, Dana White's got a
new daddy and his name is out of Shape, Turkey
out of Shake. He's Dana White's puppy and he has
got to do whatever he's told because he works for TKO,
which he's owned by Cella and Sowd's to take out

(01:16:06):
of Shake. So it took him a nanosecond to get personal.
But that's because right now he's right at the bottom
of the parle in terms of quality as a boxing promyer. Yeah,
he's right, but it.

Speaker 1 (01:16:19):
May not be their way for very long because he
just took one of your biggest talent. Again, this is
this is Watching this in retrospect for Eddie is a
little bit damaging because number one, while yes, you can
say Turkey Alla Shake is the only reason Dana White
is in box, that's one hundred percent clear, but Turkey
Alla Shake is also one of the big benefactors of
Eddie Hearn, right, not just an Bury her, not just

(01:16:42):
on the boxing side, but on the dart side, on
the snooker side, Turkey Ala Shak has funded a lot
of Eddie Hearn's business as well. So I don't know
whose daddy is who, Like Turkey alas Shake is funding
both sides of this. This is like some crazy political
wartime like CIA from Turkey to fund both sides of.

Speaker 5 (01:17:01):
The war and have them go at it.

Speaker 1 (01:17:02):
But I think if I had to say which side
of this Turkey Ali shakaz On, He's on the side
of ZUFA boxing Dana White, and that's I think that's
where his primary investment is because I think SELA does
own sixty percent of ZUFA. So anyway, that was the response,
and at the time it was a good response from
Eddie Hearn right sticking it on Dana saying, hey, you
know you're you're nobody in this game yet. And that

(01:17:23):
was true up until twenty minutes ago. Because look at this,
and I'm telling you guys, no one predicted this. No
one had any idea that Connor Ben was jumping ship
from Eddie.

Speaker 2 (01:17:33):
Hearn And here he is shaking hands with Dana White.

Speaker 1 (01:17:39):
I think this is at the UFCPI I think this
is in Vegas and there he is, man, the new
signee of ZUFA Boxing.

Speaker 2 (01:17:47):
Unbelievable.

Speaker 1 (01:17:50):
This was Eddie's dude, man, you I don't even have
words for this. When Connor Ben came into boxing and
he started getting promoted by Eddie Eddie had his back
through everything. I'm talking the drug tests, the failures, the
freaking time off when he was at his lowest. He

(01:18:11):
was with him, He stuck with him, he had his back.
And again I'm not saying this is just business. At
the end of the day, I'm not saying Connor is
wrong for leaving. Won't see how much notice Eddie had
of Connor leaving. That'll be a huge, huge thing. Like
if Connor just straight up didn't say a word and.

Speaker 2 (01:18:25):
This is how Eddie found out, that's a problem. But
it's just business.

Speaker 1 (01:18:29):
I'm just saying it's it's shocking to see Connor not
only sign with ZUFA, but Zuofa is a American boxing promotion.
Not to say they only signed Americans because they signed
Ji Opataiah now Connor ben. But usually you would think
with the fan base he already has in the UK
that that would be where he'd make his his stable,
right matchroom being a UK juggernaut right now because boxer's

(01:18:53):
fucked off, they're gone. If Queensberry there makes sense, but
then it's Mattroom or vice versa.

Speaker 2 (01:18:58):
But he decided to go with.

Speaker 1 (01:18:59):
ZUFA, and I have to think that the money was
just too good to pass up the opportunities or just
too good to pass up. And speaking of the opportunities,
that's where a bit of a question mark comes into play,
because what does this mean? All Connor ben had said
over the last few months is that he wants a
shot at the world title, he wants a shot at
becoming great, he wants a shot at Ryan Garcia, he

(01:19:21):
wants a shot at SHAKURR Stevenson, he wants a shot
at Devin Haney. Are we about to see some of
these guys signing with ZUFA or is ZUFA gonna work
with some of these other promoters? I don't know.

Speaker 2 (01:19:31):
I don't know where that whole intersection crosses over, but it.

Speaker 1 (01:19:35):
Starts to give some pretty interesting hints of information to
be like, well, what are we gonna see?

Speaker 2 (01:19:40):
Are there more signings to come?

Speaker 1 (01:19:42):
Because this is massive? Okay, so now we hear from
Chris Mannix, this is very interesting. Connor Benn's deal with
ZUPA Boxing is a one fight, eight figure deal. Okay,
this puts some interesting spin on what we're reading now.
So Connor Benn is only signing a one fight deal
with ZUFA it's life changing money and he only is
under contract for one fight, so that does change a

(01:20:03):
little bit of the discussion as far as what potentially
is gonna go on here because how much is Connor
going to really stay with ZUFA. Here's him taking a
picture with Keith Connelly as manager. There he is Nick
con the man behind the scenes that gets this shit done,
along with Dana White obviously, but this is big dude Connor.

Speaker 2 (01:20:22):
Ben messaged Eddie Hearn after the split.

Speaker 1 (01:20:24):
After a decade in the matter room, Ben thanks Eddie
Hearn and the team for guiding him through the pro
turning him pro to headlining stadium, show standing shoulder to
shouldered in the tough times as well as the highs.
He says Zuper presented an opportunity he simply couldn't refuse,
and opes Eddie can still be a part of his
team as the partnership evolves. I want the legacy fights,
the biggest nights, the biggest stages. I fear no man
at any weight.

Speaker 2 (01:20:45):
I'm in my prime. I fear no man at any weight.
That's the thing.

Speaker 1 (01:20:48):
I'm trying to figure out. Who's it gonna be. He's
gonna go up it's gonna.

Speaker 2 (01:20:51):
Go down the Callum Walsh fight.

Speaker 1 (01:20:54):
There's no way they would try to push Connor into
a Callum Walsh fight for eight figures, right, this comes
out of nowhere. But Connor has been calling for the
Chakor fight, and we know Shakor is with Jay Prince
as a manager. I'm not sure who he's promoted by
right now, if he even has one, So maybe that
could be something where they work out something with Shakor.

Speaker 2 (01:21:10):
He hasn't been a fan of the belts. I don't
know though, again how that would go.

Speaker 1 (01:21:14):
Or Ryan Garcia this whole week has been talking about
really not this week, but build up, how he only
has a couple of fights left, or this may be
his last fight with Golden Boy.

Speaker 2 (01:21:22):
Oscar has said differently, but this came out of nowhere.

Speaker 1 (01:21:25):
Could Dana be talking to Ryan Garcia while he's in
Vegas by the way, about potentially the idea to jump
over to ZUFA and have a super fight if he
is able to get the belt with Connor. Ben not
again that he would bring the WBC belt over, but
he would be an established world champion, drop the WBCA belt,
fight for the ZUFA belt. The possibilities are endless. This

(01:21:45):
is breaking news. I had to get it to you guys.
Let me know what you think in the meantime, because
this is this is massive.

Speaker 2 (01:21:52):
The one fight deal is very interesting.

Speaker 1 (01:21:54):
Connor could come over and then go back to Eddie
right after and it just be peaches, but very interesting.

Speaker 5 (01:22:01):
Yes, people say, just finished training again, Hogroft. He at
the UFC facility.

Speaker 2 (01:22:05):
What facility?

Speaker 5 (01:22:06):
More importantly, I'm excited about his future.

Speaker 2 (01:22:09):
Let's go interesting, man.

Speaker 1 (01:22:12):
Like I said, the gauntlet has been thrown down, the
battle lines have been drawn. Boxing is in an all
out war, and ZUFA takes the first shot across the bow.
They signed Connor Benn. It's a one fight, eight figure deal.
Who's he fight?

Speaker 2 (01:22:25):
Who else is coming down the line?

Speaker 1 (01:22:26):
Look at all of your favorite fighters right now, who
aren't necessarily talking about their deals with their promoters, or
they are talking about the deals but talking about how
they're about to be done with them. No one is
off the board, it seems like so I don't know
who they could be fighting with Connor Benn, But I'm
talking about all weight divisions. It's all open season and
we're about to get a war of a lifetime.

Speaker 2 (01:22:47):
What happens next? We have those answers, but I guess
we'll find out all right.

Speaker 1 (01:22:51):
So we're back on the Way concept presented by The
Ring Magazine, and it is the night before Ryan Garcia
versus Mario Barrios. You guys already know my picks Ryan
Garcia by stoppage sixth maybe seventh round, No six to
seven joke.

Speaker 2 (01:23:04):
But make sure you guys watch the watch party as
you're watching this video.

Speaker 1 (01:23:07):
It will be.

Speaker 2 (01:23:08):
Tonight live on my channel on Show Business Channel.

Speaker 1 (01:23:11):
Use code wage seven for seven percent off of your
pay per view tonight at the Zone. These fights are
going to be sick. It's a great undercard. Make sure
you guys watch this fight. But today's video is not
about tonight's fights. It's about Jake Paul having a second
jaw surgery. You heard that right. Jake Paul just had
a second jaw surgery that could have been avoided, probably

(01:23:34):
shouldn't have been avoided. And I'm starting to wonder if
it's going to make a massive massive impact on his
boxing career. What just happened the breakdown, Let's go, like
I said, Jake Paul, Jake Joseph Paul has as of
thirteen hours ago, posted this on his Instagram, which says

(01:23:54):
had to get another jaw surgery. The screws and plates
were coming loose because apparently I didn't rest for the
past two months. What this could be one of two things,
because the next clip that we see, I'm.

Speaker 5 (01:24:10):
Pretty that for you call that chrome in there.

Speaker 6 (01:24:12):
That's the hinge in the new teeth rinds on tiny servos,
super smooth, I can talk.

Speaker 1 (01:24:16):
It's clearly AI bullshit from Jake's Sora app that he's
a part investor in. So this could just be him
drumming up interest in his app based on something that's
clearly AI and clearly garbage slot. But if this is real,
because there are other pictures and videos here of him.
This is an MRI machine, so he's getting an MRI

(01:24:36):
to see or an X ray machine potentially a seat. No,
this is an MRI to see how everything looks. Here's Utah,
fresh off winning her gold medal, wheeling him around in
the hospital. Here's Jake in a hospital bed of some sorts.
Utah right there, although she's not wearing the same thing
there as she's wearing there, So that's a bit of
an interesting one not to read too much into things,

(01:24:57):
but again it's a bit of a an interesting thing
to see because number one, Jake already having a jaw
surgery after the Anthony Joshua fight puts in question the
rest of his boxing career for me, because if you
are having I think, what do they say, four plates
and a couple of eight screws into your jaw after
AJ separated it in their fight. How are you going

(01:25:20):
to be able to recover? I know Jiopataiah had a
similar surgery. I'm not sure how many you know, plates
and screws or whatever. But now you have a setback
even from that, right, you now have some issues post
your first surgery. Now you're getting a second surgery to
revise the issues that you had with the first one.
And he says it's because he didn't rest for two months.
I mean, if we go through and look at his
Instagram over the last couple of months.

Speaker 2 (01:25:44):
Here this is from one day ago. He was in Milan, Italy,
and this is just champ talk.

Speaker 1 (01:25:49):
So he obviously went out to see his girlfriend while
she won her gold and silver medals.

Speaker 2 (01:25:54):
Now he is lifting her above his head.

Speaker 1 (01:25:56):
He's getting on his PJ he's wearing the same outfit
that he wore or in this picture with the doctors.
But you know, he was out with armand Serukian.

Speaker 2 (01:26:06):
Sometime.

Speaker 1 (01:26:06):
I don't know if this was in Italy or where,
but he's out somewhere with armand Serukian in the last week.

Speaker 2 (01:26:13):
He's talking to the Vice Prez.

Speaker 1 (01:26:15):
He's talking to all these people doing stuff that he
probably shouldn't be doing like this.

Speaker 2 (01:26:20):
This is probably where Jake did it.

Speaker 1 (01:26:22):
No Joe goofing off eating the shit tons of copious
amounts of food like armand Serukian and his team do,
is like, you know, their whole thing. There's a piece
of meat that Jake just straight up bites into, tears
off obviously again coming off Joss surgery. Probably shouldn't be
doing that, right there, he goes again. Now again, I'm

(01:26:43):
no doctor, I don't know, but it does seem like
that's a bit of an issue. And of course he
just got the new he got the new ranch in Georgia,
so I'm sure he's been doing crazy shit over there
as well.

Speaker 2 (01:26:53):
Time to celebrate, he says, there's our metals. Jake probably
didn't do what the doctor's instructed.

Speaker 1 (01:26:59):
And now having her vision surgery. Listen, I've never had
to have a revision surgery, but I do know that
the more times your body gets cut on, the more
stress that you put on your body, the harder it
makes it to recover. I've done seven or I think
maybe eight surgeries. Now I know none of them were
jaw surgery, but any sort of you know, artificial cutting

(01:27:19):
into your body, putting plates and screws and just going
under anesthesia, all these things, it makes it more difficult
to recover. Not that it's going to be, you know,
continuously an issue, I don't know, but I just think
if you didn't let it recover the first time, and
now it's two months later and they're having to go
in and mess around with stuff again, how are they

(01:27:40):
going to even imagine Jake fighting this year, let alone
fighting again if this is the issue he's already having.
I don't think Jake got punched in the face and
he's on in the last couple of months, right. And
I know you have to be ginger after surgeries, you
have to take things very slowly, but this just tells
me that we're probably not going to see Jake in
twenty twenty six.

Speaker 5 (01:28:00):
In the ring.

Speaker 1 (01:28:01):
And it's also telling me that this jos surgery may
have been a little bit more complicated than people previously thought,
and it may have a higher impact on Jake's career
than people previously thought. If that's just all this was,
and he didn't actually have to go to the hospital,
then fine. But it does look like at least there
was something here, maybe a check up, maybe not an
actual jaw surgery, because I'm still not convinced that he's

(01:28:23):
in any way getting prepared for a jaw surgery.

Speaker 2 (01:28:25):
Here could have been, and if that's the case, then okay.

Speaker 1 (01:28:29):
That's also again massively concerned if you're a Jake Paul fan,
because I don't know. It's just it doesn't bode well
for a guy that's a whole living is getting punched
in the face to now have two jaw surgeries in
a matter of two months to recover from after previously
not having any surgeries, and that's the main goal of
the opponent when he boxes it, to punch him directly
in the face. Not good, ladies and gentlemen, Not good

(01:28:51):
at all for Jake Paul. Again, I don't know how
serious this will be in the long run. I don't
know if this is going to be something that can
contenually heaps creeping up on him, like what happens if
he gets into a knockdown, drag out fight again. I
just would say, let's keep a watch on this because
this can turn into something far more serious and you know,
potentially detrimental to the rest of Jake's boxing crew with

(01:29:14):
this whole landscape changing in the sport of boxing. And
trust me, I am not done talking about this. Connor
ben Zuofa boxing Eddie Hearn's situation. Eddie just put a
video out. If you guys want me to do a
breakdown of Eddie Hearn's response to Connor leaving and going
to ZUFA, let me know in the comments, because it's
it's still shocking to me. It's still ridiculous in my mind,

(01:29:36):
and I'm trying to wrap my mind around it. And
I have some new theories as to who you know,
Zuofa is going to go after to be an opponent
of it. A lot of fighters, maybe even the winner
of this main event tomorrow night or to night. As
you guys see this video could be in the running
for the Connor beIN sweep states. It is a one
fight deal. See how that goes. But with the landscape
of boxing changing and all these different fights to be
made and Jake, you know, potentially waiting out the rest

(01:29:57):
of the year, there's gonna be fight on the table
for him, Tommy Fury, I assume it's still gonna be
on the table for him. You know. Canelo has two
more fights with riodd season from what I understand, uh,
one will be in September.

Speaker 2 (01:30:08):
Could that be something on the table?

Speaker 1 (01:30:09):
All of it, regardless of what's on the table, all
of it depends on Jake's jaw actually healing. When you
have a jaw surgery to fix the jaw surgery, something's
not work even with the rest or whatever. Yeah, Jake
probably didn't listen to his doctors, and that's also a problem.
But something isn't setting correctly. Something's not working, and that
gives me less confidence that it'll set properly in the future,

(01:30:31):
that it'll hold up properly in the future. I know
everyone that's talked about Jake's jaw surgery has said, oh, well,
it's not gonna affect how he takes a punch. It's
not gonna affect couldn't last two months without it having
to be redone as supposed to inspire confidence of people.

Speaker 3 (01:30:42):
I don't know.

Speaker 2 (01:30:43):
With them getting into this MMA thing.

Speaker 1 (01:30:45):
With Ronda Rousey and Gina Carano as well, MVP has
a bright future, but we all still know who the
cash cow is over there. It's not a man of Serrano,
even though she's a big draw for women's boxing or
when her and Katie Taylor are fighting she is. It's
not Ronda Rawsey or Gina Carno, even though that'll probably
do some good numbers on Netflix. It is always and
will always be until Jake retires, It'll be Jake Paul

(01:31:05):
and if this jaw surgery shortens his career, that would
be a massive blow to MVP, absolutely because it all
rides on the revenue he brings in on these massive events.
I'm just telling it like it is out. Jake Boxing
and VP is not yet at the point where I
think they're going to be able to be massively successful
trying to put on big events without Jake's name involved,

(01:31:26):
because without him, does the Netflix deal still remain intact.
There's a good relationship over there, but I don't know
without him, are you getting massive amounts of funds into
the company doing a lot of women's boxing, and that's great,
but is anyone bringing the money in? He is in
boxing period, so let's keep an eye on this. Jake
has a second jaw surgery, and one that apparently could

(01:31:46):
have been avoided if Jake had just listened to his doctors.
But he was out in Italy, enjoying the fiancees, win,
enjoying some some kind of man meet with Armin Serukian,
and I meant everywhere to that no pause on pause,
re zoom, and you know.

Speaker 2 (01:32:02):
Living life. Sometimes you got to listen to the docs.

Speaker 1 (01:32:04):
It looks like the timeline of his return has been
reset because his job has got reset. So I highly
doubt we'll see Jake in twenty twenty six. Do you
guys think this affects his career? Do you think this
changes anything? Are you worried about it?

Speaker 2 (01:32:16):
Do you even give a fuck?

Speaker 1 (01:32:18):
It's about midnight, and I wanted to cover this story
because by the time we get back home, we're jumping
straight back into this zoofa versus everyone boxing feud. We're
talking about misfits coming up on March seventh.

Speaker 2 (01:32:29):
Confirmed.

Speaker 1 (01:32:30):
I will be down there, but make sure as you
guys are watching this video, you head over to the
live stream myself Showbiz. We're live tonight for Ryan Garcia,
Mario Barrios, who wins that fight?

Speaker 2 (01:32:39):
What's going on with Jake?

Speaker 1 (01:32:40):
Leave your comments below because I don't have those answers,
so I guess we'll find out. Folks, we are back
on the Way concept presented by The Ring Magazine, and
oh my goodness, Ryan Garcia just completely dominated Mario Barrios
in a fashion I've never even seen Mario Barrios get beat,
and in fashion I didn't even know Ryan Garcia was

(01:33:02):
going to bring tonight and we have to talk all
about it.

Speaker 2 (01:33:05):
Let's get back into the breakdown. Okay, So what just happened?

Speaker 1 (01:33:10):
Ryan Garcia takes down Mario Barrios and on the scorecards
there was I think eleven to one, but mostly twelve
zero scum of a fight right here in Vegas, and folks,
the way curse is broken because I told you exactly
how this fight potentially was going to go. I did
have my concerns about Mario Barrios laid in the fight

(01:33:30):
potentially a decision, but what I did tell you is
that Mario Barrios was susceptible to being hit with the
right hand. What I did tell you is that Ryan
Garcia was more than the left hand, and he needed
to be to get to world championship level. And yes,
let's be honest about the conversation, Mario Barrios not the
best world champion in the world, but still a task
Ryan Garcia needed to overcome after the Roly Romero fight,

(01:33:53):
after the questions about his mentality, his commitment to the sport, etc.

Speaker 2 (01:33:57):
And to build big fights after this.

Speaker 1 (01:34:00):
I sat all night and watched as Shaquor Stevenson kept
a close eye on that main event. We're gonna talk
about that potential matchup soon, but there were all the
eyes of the sport on Ryan Garcia tonight, a ton
of pressure, and he started this fight like the world
was watching. He started this fight like he had a
point to prove. He came out in the first round
after an immaculate walkout from both fighters. Mario Barrios had

(01:34:22):
as tech dancers and drums as his walkout. Ryan Garcia
had the aura, the ambiance and his walkout and the
first round second's in. This was a statement move for
Ryan Garcia. He didn't even stay in his corner. If
you watched that first round again, and it was a
couple of the first rounds, he was almost out.

Speaker 2 (01:34:41):
To the midway point.

Speaker 1 (01:34:42):
He was almost out to the center of the ring
by the time the referee said all right, let's go.

Speaker 2 (01:34:46):
He was chomping at the bit to get to Mario Barrios,
and he showed it. In the first ten seconds of
the fight.

Speaker 1 (01:34:51):
He framed him with the jab, and by the way,
everything that Ryan did successfully tonight was based off that
lead hand, touching Barrios with it, keeping his range time.

Speaker 2 (01:35:00):
Barrios wanted to get some offense, going.

Speaker 1 (01:35:01):
Bang right back in his face, but the first exchange
Ryan touched him with the jab, then double jab right
hand around the guard and it hurt Barrios.

Speaker 2 (01:35:10):
The first right hand Ryan hit him with hurt him bad.
And then Ryan followed.

Speaker 1 (01:35:15):
Up jab to the body, bang right hand downstairs, and
again he goes right back to the well. These are
three straight exchanges where Ryan Garcia does all the punching
in a matter of like fifteen seconds. He goes jab upstairs,
right hand. This one landed on the temple of Mario
Barrios and sent him to the canvas. Folks, when I
tell you Team Mobile arena exploded. It was insane. It

(01:35:38):
felt like all the nervous energy, all the expectation, all
of the weight, the trials and tribulation that Ryan had
gone through was alleviated.

Speaker 2 (01:35:46):
In that moment. I thought the fight was gonna be over.

Speaker 1 (01:35:48):
I thought Ryan was gonna follow up and knock Mario
Barrios out in the first thirty seconds of the fight.
Turns out, Mario Barrios one tough sob he was not
gonna get knocked out in the first round, and come
to find out, he wasn't gonna get knock out at all.
But that was a tone setter for the fight, and
it was like, from that moment on, Ryan had almost
zero issue.

Speaker 2 (01:36:07):
With Barrios, and Barrios had no answers for anything Ryan
was doing. And again I told you go back and
watch my video.

Speaker 1 (01:36:13):
Yes, the left hook was prevalent and it landed in
this fight, and Ryan was devastating with it.

Speaker 2 (01:36:17):
But it would be the right hand.

Speaker 1 (01:36:19):
It would be the hand that everyone forgot that Ryan
Garcia had, and one, to be fair, he hadn't shown
had been as devastating as his lead hand for a
very long time. That would be the difference maker in
this fight. It was it was I think the second
difference maker behind his jab because Ryan Garcia and you
can even see it before the fight. Oscar de la

(01:36:40):
Hoya was standing there in Ryan's corner as they did
the introduction. He looked at Henry Garcia, Ryan's dad, who
by the way, is undefeated, as Ryan's head corner, and
he was saying, jab him, jab him, you know, continue
to use your jab, and Ryan did that throughout the fight.

Speaker 2 (01:36:53):
Listen, I can go round by round and break this
thing down for you guys. But it was a why.

Speaker 1 (01:36:57):
Barrios showed toughness, he showed heart. He had nothing to
be ashamed of. He was a world champion, but he
got ran over tonight.

Speaker 2 (01:37:04):
It was dominant.

Speaker 1 (01:37:06):
It wasn't a second of the fight, maybe up until
the round ten or eleven that Ryan lost. He was
putting the beats on Mario Barrios. He was beating him
from pillar to post. There were shots that Ryan wobbled
Barrios with throughout the fight that I was like, this
has gotta be this is the moment where Ryan's gonna
get him out of there. And Barrios, to his credit,
just was tough as nails and to the point where

(01:37:26):
that toughness and Ryan mentioned this before the fight, that
toughness would get him into trouble and that Joe Goosen
wouldn't stop the fight to save his fighter.

Speaker 2 (01:37:33):
I worry about Mario Barrios, and I.

Speaker 1 (01:37:36):
Think he needs to take a long time off because
he took a beating tonight, one of those beatings like
Ryan gave Devin Haney that you better take a long
time off for because the.

Speaker 2 (01:37:45):
Body needs to heal, the brain needs to heal.

Speaker 1 (01:37:47):
He took shots, man, and I know I'm gonna you know,
I'm glazing a little bit here for Ryan Garcia.

Speaker 2 (01:37:51):
But this is what we needed. This is what boxing needed.

Speaker 1 (01:37:53):
And I didn't want to say it before the fight,
but it was pretty clear boxing needed this Ryan Garcia
to allow him to reintroduce himself. The real Ryan Garcia
showed up tonight, and this is why he is a superstar. Yes,
because he's got the social media, he's got the look,
but because he's a violent fighter. I was watching some
of the combinations and no, it wasn't anything over the top.

(01:38:13):
It wasn't some great footwork boxing sweet science. And by
the way, I can't stand that sweet science phrase when
they just refer to, you know, a fighter fighting defensively
and not getting hit. The sweet science is not getting
hit and being violent on the offensive side. And Ryan
was violent tonight. It was all behind the jab. It
was the double jab right hand, and it was around
the guard and when Barrios would bring the high guard back,

(01:38:35):
Ryan was like, oh, you want to protect that around
the guard shot, here's the right hand right down the middle.

Speaker 2 (01:38:39):
Then he would hook to the body and then he'd
got the lead hand going.

Speaker 1 (01:38:42):
There was one point in the fight where Henry Garcia,
a great corner work throughout the night, said let's not
get caught doing something silly with our lead hand with
the uppercut, but it's time to bring the lead hook.

Speaker 2 (01:38:52):
And that just showed you how well prepared they were.

Speaker 1 (01:38:54):
They wanted to start the fight setting the tone with
the right hand, and then eventually when Barrios got used
to the knuckles right upside his temple from the right side,
they were going to bring that whiplash of a left
hand right back at him. And it was again it
was shocking to see Barrios dominated like that, Like Barrios
has been stopped right, He's been beating, but there was
no pillar to post beating that I've ever seen anyone

(01:39:16):
put on Mario Barrios like Ryan Garcia did tonight. And
again the variety in the shots upstairs downstairs. The lead
hook he would frame with the jab, which is something
I love when fighters do. He would one two one
and frame with that lead hand, and then when Barrios
got past the lead hand, bang left hook, pivot out
right hand. It was like he had an answer for
everything Barrios did. And no, there wasn't a lot of

(01:39:37):
adjustment from Barrios. He didn't look in any way, shape
or form ready for the onslaught that Ryan was bringing him.
But it's hard to after in the first ten seconds
you get caught with two huge right hands send you
to the canvas. You have to think from that point
forward your compromise. And as tough as Barrios was, he
never got it going on offense, not even a little bit.
And that was pretty much the fight. Ryan dominated from

(01:39:59):
that first shund all the way through. Had Mario hurt
a couple times. The only criticism I would have, and
it's not really even a criticism because Ryan said this
of himself, is that he didn't get the stoppage right.
This is something that he criticized the Corse Stevenson for.

Speaker 2 (01:40:12):
If you remember in the Tafimo.

Speaker 1 (01:40:13):
Lopez fight, he said, real fighters know, when you had
a guy as hurt as you had Tiafimo, you could
have stopped.

Speaker 2 (01:40:18):
And Ryan, to his credit after the fight, said I
should have stopped him. I had him hurt and I
should have stopped him.

Speaker 1 (01:40:23):
But he also pointed out that he hurt his right hand,
and that is a frustrating thing because he also alluded
to the fact that a lot of the times he
got better with his lead hand was because his right
hand had been hurt so much from having so many
knockouts early in his career off that right hand. And
I hope this isn't like an ongoing thing where Ryan
continues to hurt his right hand, because it's a weapon.

Speaker 2 (01:40:43):
When he has the right hand and a left hook, and.

Speaker 1 (01:40:45):
You don't look at look at him as one dimensional
and you have to prepare for various, multiple attacks. And
again when Henry Garcia is in that corner. I don't
know how much David Benavidez was in the camp. He
wasn't in the camp, but he seemed to be there
with Ryan throughout the fight week and mentally was there
to help help him. A dangerous, dangerous team right there.
And so Ryan, like I said, dominates this fight, did

(01:41:05):
it violently, and he showed he was levels above Mario Barrios.
He showed he wasn't you know, the quote unquote social
media boxer. We should have known that by now. If
you didn't, that's on you. But he also showed he
was world level. He showed that expectation of Ryan coming
into the pro scene was warranted. We expected him to
be a world champion, and he proved he was tonight.
He won the WBC belt. People say that's the most

(01:41:27):
prestigious belt in boxing. I think it's the ring magazine belt.
Maybe it's biased, but now you're a world champ.

Speaker 2 (01:41:32):
Now you've finally got into the pinnacle, and the question
is what do you do next? The answer for me
is pretty simple.

Speaker 1 (01:41:39):
I saw Roly Romero ring side, the rumors of the
Devin Haney rematch. I think that can happen down the road.
Both those fights can happen down the road. But right here,
right now is the time for Ryan Garcia and cha
course Stevenson folks, it just makes sense two of the
biggest names in American boxing in their primes. No, it
won't be at one forty seven. It won't be at
one forty Catchwaight one forty four. I don't care if

(01:41:59):
there's a belt on the line. I need to see
that fight. I need it like I need air to breathe.
Because this rivalry has been brewing even before. We've been
talking about it. Back in the Amateurs, right, all these
guys fought against each other, and Ryan says, listen, I
know the style to beat Shaquor Stevens, and Score's like, cool,
you want to come get worked like everybody else. I'm
gonna show you why I'm on even a different level

(01:42:19):
than you are. And so after the fight, Ryan took
the liberty of calling Shakuor out said I want to fight,
and he said something super interesting.

Speaker 2 (01:42:26):
He said, I'm not like TiO because if.

Speaker 1 (01:42:28):
You can't hurt me, if you don't have any attributes,
no power to push me backward, You're not gonna be
able to keep me off you. And that perked up
my ears because I wasn't necessarily sold on the Ryan
Garcia fight. I thought maybe Connor Benn situation him coming
over to ZUFA. How is that gonna look? And by
the way, we're gonna.

Speaker 2 (01:42:46):
Have a video on this ZUFA back and forth.

Speaker 1 (01:42:49):
Dana White just tonight in a press conference after UFC's
Fight Night, calling Eddie Hern a pussy. You don't think
I'm gonna doing a video on that, You're out of
your mind. We're gonna break that all down probably on Monday.
But I thought maybe that could be a fight Ryan
and Connor Benn. That stylistic matchup is very, very intriguing.
But Ryan said that tonight He kind of made me believe,
he kind of made me think, you know what, he
may actually have the answer to Chaquer Stevenson. And I

(01:43:12):
think chakor'sn't win over Tia Fima Lopez was more impressive
just because of who he did it against and how
he did it. Then Ryan against Mario Barrio's but I
don't think it was that much more impressive because Ryan
was a violent mother and if Ryan is in that form,
with that mentality, with that seriousness, with that dedication, he
may shock us again. And I'm not basing that off
the Devon Haney fight. I'm basing that off the Ryan

(01:43:33):
I saw tonight because that Ryan, right there was even
a different animal from the Devin Hainey fight. The Ryan
and the Devin Haney fight was you know, relying on instinct,
good left hook. I mean again, the PD busts has
got to be mentioned. But he was out of shape,
and he was tired, and you know he's taking rounds off.
That's not the Ryan we saw tonight. We saw him
getting up out of that corner ready to go round
after round and twelve straight rounds of dominant Stylistically, it

(01:43:55):
looks like a problem for anybody that fights Shakor.

Speaker 2 (01:43:57):
But does Ryan have the answer? I want to find out.

Speaker 1 (01:44:00):
I want to find out if Shakor is so much
better than the rest of these guys that he can
just pick off who we think are world level fighters
like they're nothing. Like he didn't tee you can he
do that to Ryan Garcia? Can he really show these
different levels? Schgor was on the broadcast tonight and said, hmm,
was Vada testing involved in this fight?

Speaker 2 (01:44:17):
Where they involved? Again just building this fight, trying to
troll Ryan a little bit.

Speaker 1 (01:44:22):
He said, Ryan looked good, but was Vada involved, which
they were, by the way, if anyone asked. I know
Bill Haney had said Ian dropped out of Vada testing
and they weren't involved. They are involved throughout the camp
of this fight, just like any WBC fight. I don't
even know what that narrative was, but Chicorp building that
fight saying he'll show Ryan levels regardless one forty four,
let's do it.

Speaker 2 (01:44:37):
Ryan saying, all right, let's run it. Two of the best.

Speaker 1 (01:44:40):
Yes, Ryan is in that conversation once again, as a
world champion, you get to be called one of the
best in the world at their weights meet in the
middle and let's throw the down. What a night man,
What a performance from right. And the word that just
keeps coming back to my mind is just violence. There's
violence on Ryan's mind tonight, and he showcased it from
beginning to in this Ryan Garcia with that build up,

(01:45:02):
with that pressure, with that moment to deliver like he
did was very, very damn impressive.

Speaker 2 (01:45:08):
And again I need this Ryan and Shakor fight. I
just do I need it.

Speaker 1 (01:45:13):
This fight will be the biggest an American boxing, point
blank period.

Speaker 2 (01:45:17):
Right. We still have massive fights out there.

Speaker 1 (01:45:18):
We have Tyson Fury, Anthony Joshua, we have whoever Jake
Paul potentially wants to fight. We have a ton of
things that can go on in the sport, but man,
we do that one in the in the late part
of the summer or potentially at the end of the year.
Mary christmascuse my language, bleep that one out, please Leo,
but I need it.

Speaker 2 (01:45:34):
It would be fantastic. The build up moment, the.

Speaker 1 (01:45:37):
Occasion, and the question is Ryan Garcia ready for who
I think is one of, if not the best boxer
in the world, and of course Stevens and if he is,
Holy cow, what a moment be could Shakur make Ryan look?
How he made Tea look a world level fighter look average?

Speaker 2 (01:45:51):
That's the question.

Speaker 1 (01:45:53):
Outside of that, man, Yeah, a great night of fights.
Gary Antoine Russell gets it done. I thought the scorecards
there were a little bit a little bit wide. Amari Jones,
great young fighter. Want to see more from him.

Speaker 2 (01:46:03):
Beck to Bully. I don't know where that footwork came from.

Speaker 1 (01:46:06):
His ability to just peer a wet He was all
over the place, but at the same time he was
right in front of Seinas So that was a great
fight to watch. Beck to Bully Muhammad Ala Kale gets
it done again. He looked very very sharp. That young
prospect from Saudi, he looks very good.

Speaker 2 (01:46:21):
But man, what a night.

Speaker 1 (01:46:22):
By the way, I want to say a big thank
you to everybody that came through and supported the stream
the way, concept Media team, my people from day one
og support. Thank you guys so much, the war room,

Apparently we we killed it, Zone loved it, so I
hope we get to keep doing it. But one tonight
we're done from Vegas. I'm back home in the morning.

Speaker 2 (01:46:56):
We have Misfits in a couple of weeks.

Speaker 1 (01:46:58):
I can announce that now I will be a part
of the Fitz card in Darby March seventh. I'm gonna
be doing some some commentary, some some fun stuff there.
So I'll see you guys in the UK. There's a
bunch of stuff happening in April. I may just stay
in the UK until April.

Speaker 2 (01:47:10):
I don't know, but thank you.

Speaker 1 (01:47:12):
Guys for all the support as always, and the message
of the night is that Ryan Garcia answered the call.
Will the real Ryan Garcia police stand up? And he
stood tall for twelve rounds, violently in the middle of
the ring.

Speaker 2 (01:47:24):
He gets to win.

Speaker 1 (01:47:24):
What happens next after a dominant performance? Is it gonna
be Ryan Garcia and Shaquar Stevenson? And if it is,
who wins that fight? I don't have those answers, but
I guess we'll find out
