Speaker 1 (00:00):
All right, so we're back on the way concept presented

(00:02):
by The Ring Magazine, and this is one day after
Ryan Garcia becomes the WBC Welterweight Champion of the World.
John Strickland beats Fluffy Hernandez in the UFC. I may
talk about that a little bit this week because Sean
Strickland is a psychopath, but it may end up sealing
his fate on the White House card him versus Amza Chimayev.
I want to see that. But before we do anything

(00:24):
and move forward in the fight world, I had to
get you guys this video. And before I start, I
want to say a big thank you to his own
The Ring Magazine, everybody in Vegas. Great week, awesome building
the sport of boxing, continuing my mans showbiz, showing much love.
But we have to go from love to hate and
from friendship to betrayal, because today Eddie Hearn has responded
to the massive betrayal violent stabbing in the back a

(00:49):
two brute. If you don't know what I'm talking about,
Dana White and ZUFA Boxing has been going back and
forth with Eddie Hearn over at matt Rooms. Really it's
been the last couple of months and it felt though
way more personal in the last couple of weeks. And
it kind of started with Dana White saying that he
was essentially bullying babies in the boxing game, that Eddie
Hearn and others, Oscar de la Hoya whoever else, they

(01:11):
were in over their heads. They had no idea what
they were doing, and they had no vision, and he
was going to again beat up babies. A bit of
a weird analogy from Dana, but I understood what he meant.
He essentially was saying, this game has been so you know, mismanaged,
run into the ground, that it's going to be very
easy for him to come in and take over.

Speaker 2 (01:30):
Now.

Speaker 1 (01:30):
I don't know if that's the case. We'll see, but
it all seemed like cannon fodder when we heard it.
It seemed like that was just Dana White, you know,
talking some stuff, drumming up some drama between promotions. Turns
out he wasn't just talking because even when Eddie Hearn
came back and you know, through his verbal jabs talking
about how Turkey Ella Shake is, Data is Daddy and
all this, it seemed like Eddie had all the cards
until Dana White signs Connor Benn. We saw it a

(01:54):
couple of days ago. The wool pulled over our eyes.
We thought Connor Ben and Eddie Hearn were like this PBJ,
two p's in a pod, best friends and promoter fighter.
After all, Eddie had been through a lot with Connor
Benn and it stuck by him, through a lot of
bads and negatives. That all are going to come home
to roost in today's video, because Eddie, after the massive signing,

(02:15):
after the crazy betrayal, after all of the dust is settled,
he has responded in a video titled I Am Devastated.
Eddie Hearn Exclusive reacts to Connor Ben's shock signing with
Dana White. We're gonna take a look at this. This is
my IFL shout out to those guys, and then we're
gonna take it a step further because not just Eddie
responding to Dana, but Dana had a response for Eddie

(02:37):
that went even more berserk. I'm just gonna give you
a little sneak peek of that. Ain't a White. Eddie
Hearn is the biggest pussy in the world. That's right.
We're at the point now where we're calling each other pussies. Dude,
what is going on? The breakdown? Let's go.

Speaker 2 (02:55):
So, I mean, I'll give you the flow to kind
of give us a bit of context around this, because yeah,
say yeah.

Speaker 3 (03:01):
No, look, I'm you know, I've known about this for
a few days now what was unfolding. I actually received
an email from Connor Ben's lawyer to make me aware
of it. I'm not gonna see it here.

Speaker 1 (03:16):
Okay, before we even start, I didn't know this in
my last video that Eddie had known about it. Maybe
even during the timeframe where there was the back and
forth going on between him and Dana, that Eddie knew
that this was about to hit the fan, that shit
was about to hit the fan, which would make his
his response a little more understandable, right he got you know,
Dana kind of went at him first with the I'm

(03:37):
beating up babies, and Dana got personal by saying, you know,
you worked for your dad. But Eddie came back firing,
and maybe that was why It's like, you know, Eddie
was already frustrated and it was it was starting to go.
But maybe that was before Eddie got this news. And
Eddie heard about it like right after, and it's obviously devastating.
But Eddie knew before the news came out. That's what
I wanted to know, because I didn't know if it

(03:58):
was one of those things where Connor Ben just went
like full WCW. You know, Eric Bischoff's paying him more
money not to say anything to Vince mcmahonon just no
show and then walk onto his show Lex Luger style.
I thought that was what we were talking about, but
Eddie knew.

Speaker 3 (04:13):
So yeah, I'm not gonna sit here and hang konor
bent out to try. But I've got to be honest
with you. Me personally.

Speaker 4 (04:23):
Pretty devastated.

Speaker 3 (04:25):
Ah, Like I've had a few days to digest what
might happen, So maybe this interview is different to what
it would have been a couple of days ago.

Speaker 4 (04:36):
And like you you know, I.

Speaker 1 (04:38):
Mean, Eddie looks like someone died. And I don't even
mean that hyperbolically. He looks like look at his posture.
We don't ever see Eddie hearn like this slumped down,
kind of like shoulders down, very soft spoken. I mean
he's clearly it's defeat all over his face, his voice,
and then in the words themselves, I'm devastating that in

(04:58):
one respect, is very honest and very honorable that Eddie
would be so vulnerable on camera. But it's also dude,
this is the fight game, and if you show any
of these guys a moment of weakness, they will take
it and run with it. Right if they know that
they can get to you, and they have gotten to you,
I could be looked at his blood in the water,
and make no mistake about this, Eddie's not going to

(05:21):
be the only guy that gets his fighter taken. I'm
gonna tell you right now. This is an all out
war between ZUFA and everybody else. There's going to be
a lot of fighters jumping ship. I don't know who.
I don't know when when you after a Galla Shake
ring magazine backing ZUFA, Even if they have diverted their
investment in places like Matchroom in other places, I think

(05:41):
their chips are in fully in the pile of ZUFA boxing.
They own like sixty percent of it, don't don't get
it twisted. Connor's not going to be the last guy
to go there. Who knows who it's gonna be. I've
speculated about Shaquor Stevenson. Ryan Garcia will talk more about
it in a second. But Eddie's not going to be
the last guy looking like he lost his puppy.

Speaker 3 (05:58):
It's not often you get shocked, and I blame myself.
I blame myself because.

Speaker 2 (06:07):
I just.

Speaker 4 (06:10):
I forgot it was boxing.

Speaker 3 (06:13):
You know, And I was like, I just felt that
the loyalty that we've shown would never ever put us
in this position. And I just felt that I never
really needed to push connor Ben to sign a new
contract previously, and I probably could have got him to

(06:36):
sign a new contract previously, but I just and like
I said, I blame myself. I made a mistake because
I misjudged the character. And again, I'm not going to
hang him out to dry. And he will say it
was a big offer, right, but you know when I
received the email.

Speaker 1 (06:54):
We're gonna get to that in a second. So number one,
the biggest yes, Eddie is he again he's being transparent here.
I have to give it to him. He made a
massive mistake not re signing connor Ben when he had
the chance to, or you know, restructuring the contract, renegotiating whatever,
and letting connor Ben become a free agent. Thinking that
because connor Ben and him had been through so much.

(07:16):
That was the only thing that was gonna matter. And
Eddie being in this business as long as he's been
in it, that's a flat out mistake. Because what's the
old saying, if you want loyalty, get a dog. Speaking
of boy Rocky's laid out on the floor right here,
in this business, there is no loyalty one. This isn't
a team sport, right. As much as Eddie wants his
fighters to be match room team and all promoters do this.

(07:38):
And I'm not acting like I know more than Eddie
does about promotion. I don't know shit compared to Eddie Hearn.
But what I do know is this is an individual sport.
No matter whose promotion company are signed under, the fighters
will always think of themselves first. And we've seen that
with fighters and managers. We've seen it with fighters and
coaches having disputes overpaid. So if there's more money on

(08:00):
the other side and the grass is greener, you best
believe that fighter is going to look after themselves and
whatever that number is far more than you know, quote
unquote loyalty. And I'm not a fan of it. I
think Eddie deserved better here just on a human level, right,
I do think that Connor had every right to do
business and go for the best offer, meaning if he
left Eddie, okay, that's business. But it's the way that
we're about to see that Connor Ben handled this that

(08:23):
I think is the wrong way to go about it,
that I think Eddie deserved better for because of the loyalty.
And this is what makes it even more. It makes
it a little grimy, I have to say. And I
love Connor, bed it makes it a little grimy the
way this was handled. As Eddie's about to tell us.

Speaker 3 (08:37):
When I received the email from his lawyer, I text
him and said, I think we should have a call.
I think you for everything I've done for you, I
think you deserve I deserve a call. And he said no,
and I was like, man, fuck, I can't believe it,

(08:57):
and you know, I just I don't know what to
say of it.

Speaker 1 (09:02):
Eddie looks like he's legit about to cry right there.
So this is the part that you know, that loyalty
that Eddie thought he deserved and he thought he had
went straight down the drain. And again me on the
outside looking in, this this is a dirty move, but
it's also a business move. So it's like, on one hand,
are you mad at Connor Benn for going and getting
fifteen million dollars? And we're gonna find out that, you know,

(09:25):
Eddie also had a chance to match this number, and
maybe he just couldn't do it right, Maybe he just
couldn't justify it and therefore he you know, Connor wouldn't
have took that number and Eddie just couldn't match it.
But the idea that Connor wouldn't even get on the
phone with him, right, the idea that Connor wouldn't even
have a call with him to either explain the situation
or to be like, listen, Eddie, we had a good
run and I appreciate everything you've done for me. I'm

(09:47):
gonna go do this. And as we've heard right now
again this is a Chris Mannix report that it's a
one fight deal for fifteen million dollars. That doesn't mean
that Connor Ben could have never come back to match him, right,
If they're that person if that relationship was a personable
and as loyal as as Eddie Hearn has thought it was.
But it's the fact that Connor Ben didn't even give
him the courtesy of calling and talking to him about it.

(10:09):
Not that Connor owes him anything, because in this business,
no one owes anyone anything. And if you're Eddie Hern
and you show Connor ben loyalty, you don't do it
expecting anything in return, because that's not what good friends
or good Samaritans or whatever do. They do things out
of the goodness of their heart. And Eddie's showing Connor

(10:31):
that loyalty, he expected that loyalty back. And again we're
gonna get into the reasons why there were some money
being exchanged. And you know Connor with the ped accusations
and the long sit out and the suspension and the
you know, losing money on fighting the charges and all that.
But when Connor is in contract negotiation, Eddie is not

(10:51):
owed Connor's services for a lesser price. In my opinion,
he's just owed a phone call, an explanation, and maybe
he's not even owed that. This is boxing. This is
the same business where promoters, sanctioning bodies, managers often screw
their fighters. Right. Rarely will you see the fans back
a promoter over a fighter, because this business has been

(11:12):
so scummy and so flat out fraudulent to its own
fighters where we've seen promoters for years, the don Kings
of the world. I mean, the go back into the
early freaking nineteen hundreds, that the actual mob scamming and
robbing fighters, sanctioning bodies, robbing fighters blind for what, we
don't even understand, pay to play, bullshit in the sport,

(11:33):
multiple belts, multiple interim belts, sanctioning fees, corruption in the
whole nine. But I will say Eddie did a lot
right by Connor Ben. Sure there was a financial means
for it. Sure there was a reason Eddie was doing
it so that Connor would make him a lot of
money and make match him a lot of money and
make Connor a lot of money. He believed in the kid,
and they had this long relationship and I don't know
how long Eddie promoted him, but it was I think
it was ten years, and not even give him the call.

(11:53):
And maybe in Connor's mind he didn't know it to
him because he's a grown man and so is Connor
doing his business.

Speaker 2 (11:58):
I don't know.

Speaker 1 (11:58):
I that's tough. I would have given him the call
and said, listen, here's what I'm going to do. It's
going to be uncomfortable, and I just got to take
this and if if Connor and Eddie are as close
as as Eddie's acting like here, then maybe they can
do business in the future. But Eddie being broken up
like this, I understand it, but in this business, I mean,
it'll endear him to the fans, I don't know if
it'll help him in any business negotiations, especially when you've

(12:18):
got a shark on the other side, like Dana White
who just took you know, outside of Anthony Joshua, You're
best known fighter.

Speaker 3 (12:24):
I just, you know, felt that everything that we gave him,
the loyalty that we gave him, the support we gave him,
would be enough to talk it through or just you know,
get close to a number or but it wasn't. It
wasn't really the interest. So very very surprising, very very painful,

(12:48):
but just another moment in life that you live and
learn from.

Speaker 4 (12:52):
I don't really know what to say really.

Speaker 1 (12:55):
Just for also, I can't again, this tells me that
Eddie was never going to hit for fifteen mil, and
that Connor wasn't interested in, you know, the trying to
talk down to a number that he didn't want. Okay,
you could have said that, right, like Eddie's going to
try to negotiate. He's going to try to keep you. Eddie.
Clearly can't match fifteen mil, which is what he's saying
without saying. And Connor didn't have to tell him, yes,
I'll do this for less because we were friends, or

(13:17):
I'll do this for less because of loyalty. Connor simply
could have just said, hey, I'm taking the money and
it's a one fight deal, so let's do business after.
But Eddie, you understand this is life changing money for
me and my family. That's all he needed to do, right,
And then I'm good. I'm good with Connor's decision to
leave that and co take the money. Make no mistake
about it. Fend for yourself in this business. Fighters make

(13:38):
your money. Just again on a moral scale. Not that
any promoters deserve, you know, us weeping over them, but
it would have been nice to get the call.

Speaker 3 (13:47):
Feels a little bit of a wasted few years because
I gave a lot.

Speaker 4 (13:52):
I gave a lot.

Speaker 3 (13:53):
You know how hard I felt, you know, when no
one believed him, no one backed him.

Speaker 4 (13:59):
I did.

Speaker 3 (14:00):
I believed him, and I backed him, and I never
gave in when he was done out, loaned him hundreds
of thousands of pounds, but yeah.

Speaker 2 (14:15):
On we go, can you still work with him? Yeah?

Speaker 4 (14:19):
I don't know.

Speaker 3 (14:20):
I mean that, I think who knows what the agreement is.
Like I said, I'm not I'm not gonna not gonna
sit here, and you know I had some very choice
words with his manager Keith Connelly.

Speaker 1 (14:39):
Oh my guy, Keith. Okay, before we get into that,
Eddie would I think absolutely work with Connor Ben. Again,
I think he would be less of a personal relationship
and more of a business one. But again, this is
the boxing business and if you can't put your personal
feelings aside. For let's say Connor Ben goes to ZUFA,
wins a massive fight, you know, becomes an even bigger star,
and then wants to come back to my I don't

(15:01):
think that's going to happen, not just because you know,
the bridge may be burned or whatever, but I just
think if ZUFA is offering him fifteen million, that's the
rumor number, and Eddie couldn't match it, then if Connor
you know, performs and does well, how's he going to
match it? After Let's say Connor wins the fight and
then renegotiates for a higher number than that, Eddie couldn't
give him the fifteen to start with, or wasn't willing to.

(15:21):
So is he going to give him more? And obviously
if he loses, you know, we'll see. But I don't
I could see a future where they work together. I
could just it would be you know, strictly business. Which
again maybe that's something that Eddie is learning again that
every promoter is different. But maybe you shouldn't be as
close to the fighters because it does hurt if you
feel like you're close to someone and they leave you,
right if you feel like But then again, other people

(15:42):
like to do a business, where like Eddie, they want
to be close to the fighter so that they can
promote the fighters properly. They know him very well, they
know what they want, they know what their career aspirations are,
they know their heart, they know their family. That's a
way of doing it too. But yeah, I think that
this other part where Eddie's talking about how much he
loaned Connor money and you know, yeah, let's be honest

(16:03):
about it. When Connor ben was going through that explanations
for what happened with him and you know, him popping
for the drug tests, Eddie was kind of the only
guy in the UK that stood his ground on you know,
talkSPORT with Simon Jordan. Every time they went at it,
Eddie would just he would back his guy. And apparently
he gave him money to you know, live on and
maybe even pay some of those legal fees with right,

(16:25):
who knows, but hundreds of thousands of dollars you invest
into the guy. And yes, and again, I know that
Eddie's doing it so that he can get returned, so
that he can bring Connor back, so Connor can make
Matchroom more money. I know how the business works, but
I don't know if Eddie ever got that money back.
I don't know. I don't know how much Eddie invested
and lost on Connor ben versus got even with the
last two U Bank fights. Point being, Eddie didn't have

(16:48):
to do that, right, Eddie as the promoter, didn't have
to help Connor fight legal fees and you know all
these allegations and all that, or even really go to
bat for him the way he did because people were
running Eddie down pretty heavy for it, and he chose
to And that's I guess why not even I guess
that's why Eddie feels like it's a slap in the.

Speaker 3 (17:04):
Face Keithy baby does it again, and Connor's I don't.
Sometimes you live in that world and you just lose
your head a little bit, you know, you just kind
of lose an understanding of reality and what's right and wrong.
And I just feel it the way that it was done.

Speaker 4 (17:20):
Was very, very wrong.

Speaker 3 (17:21):
But that's just my opinion. And here he might say, yeah,
but it was a lot of money, it was, you know,
And but you know, like I said, everyone's different, aren't
they everyone. Some people, loyalty really matters, other people maybe not.

Speaker 1 (17:37):
So your understanding of yeah, I would have loved to
have been a fly on the wall for the conversation
between Eddie Hern and Keith Condy. I like Keith a lot.
I like Eddie a lot, but again, it's a business.
It is a business, and Keith treats it like a business,
and so does Eddie. But when the money's on the table,
how much does that loyalty really mean? Right? In this
business where one fight can end your career, that money

(17:59):
is going to all mean more, right, It's just the truth.
Connor could have handled it better. But I don't blame
him at all for going for money.

Speaker 2 (18:06):
What that financial deal was for Connor. I'm sure you
have a rough figure of what it was. Is there
any way that you could have countered it or kind
of got close to where that was?

Speaker 3 (18:17):
We reply were actually a part of the deal, I
think we would have got quite close to it. But
I just I think by then it was just the
way that it played out. You know, it was like
to receive an email from the lawyer and then to
ask for a call and not get you know, the
willingness to have a call.

Speaker 4 (18:34):
I think by then it was just like you kind
of lose a little bit of your soul to it,
do you know what I mean?

Speaker 3 (18:41):
Where it's like, wow, I really lost a lot of
my soul during that two year period, do you know
what I mean? It was pretty brutal. And I'm like,
so at the moment, it's just digesting it, you know.

Speaker 1 (19:00):
Ed he's talking here. It sounds like once he got
the news that they were either considering or going to
go with this offer from ZUFA, Eddie felt so betrayed
that he didn't even try to like counter it, or
maybe he was going to, but then he's lost, you know,
he was just like all right, I'm I just I'm
so shocked by this that I don't even I don't
even care, or like, I just don't even want to.

(19:21):
And they're like on the Uconnor side, they're like halfway
out the door already. So do we even do I
even want to fight this type of thing? Do I
even want him back? If it's going to take all
this And in a moment the money came, he was
out of here. Again, that's up for Eddie to decide.
But this is the business of box and they were
playing probably both sides against each other with already having
the Zufa deal, Eddie, can you do something better? If not,

(19:43):
we're going this way, that's business. Eddie obviously taken back
by the fact that he was even talking to Zufa.
But uh, yeah, man, this is rough to watch. I'm sorry,
I'm not even I'm not smiling because I like to
see this. I I genuinely think Eddie's a good dude,
but this is rough to see. Man, Eddi's got to
pick him up against the stones on him for doing
this interview and being so vulnerable. That's good, but you

(20:05):
have to think you're up against the titan right now, dude.
And I'm not talking just about Dana White. I'm talking
about the entire machine over at Zuofa and what they
want to do. And if you sit here and wallowing it,
they're going to pick the bones because this business, as
Eddie knows, is ruthless.

Speaker 2 (20:19):
A cynic would say that the timing of you're back
and forth with Dana White in the last few days.

Speaker 4 (20:27):
Yeah, it was kind of this.

Speaker 3 (20:28):
This was kind of before that, if I'm honest, but
definitely part of the reason. I mean, Connor has been
used as a pawn in that respect, and that's that's
just the business. And he will say, yeah, I mean,
like you know, i'd see from his response he's I
don't mean he feels like he's done anything wrong really,
So that's him as a person, and I don't like say,
each to their own, it's a bit of a different

(20:50):
situation what we've done.

Speaker 1 (20:53):
If I'm honest, Yeah, again, I can't sit here and
say that Connor did anything wrong for taking fifteen million
dollars for one fight. If that's the number, I can't wrong.
I can't say he's wrong for that. I can say
he's wrong for not giving Eddie the call and at
least letting him know this is what we're doing. If
you can't match it, Eddie, it's nothing personal, but I
have to take this. This is life changing money and
we can still do business after right one fight deal.

(21:16):
I can still come back and do business then. And
Eddie's done that with other guys before. I think he
did this with Devin Hainey. I'm pretty sure. So, uh yeah,
I think that's just the only real, like logical way
to look at this. It's like, you can't fault connor
Bin for going and taking that kind of money and
fault him for not letting Eddie know, or not getting
on the phone and having a conversation man to man whatever.
Can't you can't fault him for actually going over and

(21:37):
doing it.

Speaker 3 (21:37):
I don't think this has got nothing to do with
my comments yesterday because this was days before that. But
it's all part of the game, you know, and obviously
Turkey Faina, you know, all that kind of stuff. But
I said, you you know this is going to be
a long war. But there's certain like I said, I'll

(21:59):
blame myself. I got the character wrong. I took the
loyalty for granted because of what I did, and I
shouldn't have done that. And I've made that mistake before
him boxing, but I just didn't expect it from Conna Ben.
So you know, yeah, like I said, maybe maybe he's
not quite the.

Speaker 4 (22:18):
Person I thought he would. I don't know. But look,
well maybe we'll talk in the future. But what can
I say.

Speaker 2 (22:24):
He's hurt, man, He's hurt table that Conno Ben was
your kind of second most valuable asset to match.

Speaker 3 (22:31):
Yeah, I mean, I think as in the noise that
he creates. You know, he's a good fighter, of course
he is.

Speaker 4 (22:37):
You know that.

Speaker 3 (22:38):
Obviously, We've got a number of fighters that are world
champions and unified champions, and but you know, Joshua, you can't.
You can't mention those two in the same thing for
many many reasons. But Joshua's a different breed of class
and loyalty, and you know, yeah, Joshua is one of

(23:02):
a cunt. Joshua is someone that even if I made
the mistake of trusting that loyalty, it would never be
a mistake with him because he's cut from a different cloth.

Speaker 2 (23:17):
But there we go.

Speaker 4 (23:18):
That's life.

Speaker 5 (23:19):
Geez.

Speaker 1 (23:20):
Man, He's being honest now, He's like, listen, this guy's
a He's not saying it, but he's saying his dude's
a comeback. That's what he's saying about Connor Vet. He's
his comeback. And I think he's right though, that Anthony
Joshua would never, you know, turn his back on Eddie.
Even when Joshua was over there on MVP, and I
think everybody knows how MVP feels, or you know, Nikisa
and Eddie had their kind of back and forth. Joshua

(23:43):
was shouting out Eddie Hearn the entire time in match
room and the whole deal. So all right, there it is,
there's Eddie. You know, it's a sad watch. I'll be
honest with you, it's a very very sad watch to
see Eddie Hearn just shocked and bewildered. I don't think
there's many times in the boxing game where you see
it promo or caught so off guard like he is
in that statement, and everybody was, let's be honest, no

(24:05):
one knew this was coming down the line. And I'm
telling you now, I'll keep telling you that it's only
the first domino. And you know Eddie said that that
Connor Benn is a pawn. Yeah, he's a fifteen million
dollar pond. But there's gonna be more pieces on the
chess board, and now is the time. I think everybody
should be nervous. I think Oscar de la Hoya should
be nervous. I think Eddie should be nervous for other people,
either on his roster or people that he advises. Like

(24:27):
I said, I'm looking at Shagor Stevenson, I'm looking at
potential opponents for Connor Benn. I'm looking at Tafi Molpez right,
I'm looking at Ryan Garcia. All these guys at play
right now. I know Ryan is still apparently under contract
with Golden Boy. I don't know the situation for guys
like te O or Devin or even Shakor. I know,
you know Eddie serves in a think an advisor role
for Shakor, but I don't, I don't. I don't want

(24:49):
to speak out of turn. I don't know what his
deal is there. But there's a lot of people, and
Connor Ben's gonna need a big time opponent. Becauzufa' is
gonna want to make a big splash, even outside of
the welterweight division or you know, around one hundred f seven,
there are gonna be other guys all across boxing they
have Jio Pattayah, and I'm telling you they're just getting started.
So here's Dana White after hearing that that outpouring of

(25:10):
emotion from Eddie again rightfully, so Eddie's entitled to feel
how he wants. Here is Dana responding to those comments and.

Speaker 6 (25:16):
A quick one un boxing Connor ben an amazing signing
Phsy for boxing. How long was that deal in the works?
And did you know about it when you were saying
beating up babies?

Speaker 7 (25:27):
Did I know about it?

Speaker 8 (25:28):
When?

Speaker 5 (25:28):
What did you know about it when you were saying
you were beating up babies?

Speaker 7 (25:33):
Well, I think you saw this week I am really
beating up babies. Is there a bigger pussy than Eddie Hearn?

Speaker 9 (25:40):
Why?

Speaker 1 (25:40):
God? And this is why I say, as much and
as human and as honest as Eddie Hearn was in
that entire video we just saw with him in IFL TV,
in five seconds, Dana White makes him look like I
don't even know what, like a like a overly emotional
wreck that's reading too much into business and making too

(26:04):
many things personal that are strictly business. I don't agree.
I think Eddi had a right to feel the way
he felt. But in about one sentence, is there a
bigger pussy in the world than Eddie heard? Heina is
calling out his manhood, saying, what are you upset about?
This is business, dude, and he's doing it in a
bombastic way. And the last time, I'll just say this,
I don't know anything, but the last time Dana was

(26:26):
very bombastic with Eddie hearn and this has been building.
You guys, go back to my interview with Dana White
a couple of months ago where I brought up it
was the day after Eddie had kind of started to
poke to bear with Dana. And one thing you don't
do with Dana. He is not like these other boxing
promoters that'll just go back and forth in the media
and you guys can get the verbal rounds of sparring off.
While you're doing the verbal sparring, Dana's working behind the
scenes trying to pull fighters, trying to wreck your business.

(26:48):
That's how he gets back the media shots. Yeah, he'll
do those too, but he'll also try to shut your
entire business down. He was very successful at it in
an mma. Boxing's a different animal. I know that. I'm
just saying, if you thought this was something. You haven't
been following Dana White or his MMA latitudes for the
last ten years. And so when he comes out and
doubles down, laying the gauntlet down with this one.

Speaker 7 (27:09):
Is there a bigger pussy than Nettie Hearn?

Speaker 1 (27:11):
When he drops that one on you, you better be
ready for wartime because this means that Dana's just starting
to warm up and he's not just coming for connor Ben.
He's coming to take it all.

Speaker 5 (27:19):
He was quite upset that connor Ben left him.

Speaker 7 (27:21):
Is there a bigger pussy than Nettie Hearn? This guy's
supposed to be your friend. You're fucking crying. He made
more money, He's gonna make more money, and he had
the right to match it. He could have matched it.

Speaker 1 (27:34):
True.

Speaker 5 (27:35):
I think he said he tried and connor Ben wouldn't
return his cools.

Speaker 2 (27:38):
What a crock of shit.

Speaker 7 (27:40):
Yeah, we're literally beating up babies.

Speaker 1 (27:45):
Look at the look in his eyes. Look at the
look in Dana's eyes. Son, Do you think he's playing
a game? Do you think he cares about how his
relations are with fighters and being personable? No, dude, He's
ready for blood. Nick con Dana Turkella shake, I'm just
telling you guys what I'm seeing. They are not playing
around with these mothers. Eddie Oscar, Frank Warren, Al Hayman

(28:08):
better beyond their shit, his wartime and something else. It's
interesting is Dana said, that's supposed to be your friend,
and you're out here crying about it when he's making
more money and you had the opportunity to match it.
This tells me once again that Eddie was never gonna
be able to match the fifteen, which you know, it's
like the New York Yankees. If you can't beat them,
join them. There's no way that some of these Major

(28:31):
League Baseball teams can match what the Yankees can throw
at some of the best players. So they're called the
Evil Empire because yeah, of course you're gonna get the
best guys all on one team because you can afford it.
Eddie can't. Dana has the backing again. I think the
chips on the table on the side of Zufa boxing
from Turkella, Shake in the Ring and Sella. It's just
the reality of the situation. They have more money to

(28:51):
spend and they're going to need to make some big,
big signings, so they're gonna throw a lot of money
out there to make sure they get those signed again.
One fight deal, we'll see how it goes. But they
are not playing around, dude. That's all Dana had to say.
Notice it wasn't very again optically right on the business
side of things. Direct call out Eddie Hearn big pussy
Eddie is not okay. He's like, you're supposed to be

(29:12):
this dude's friend. You're you're mad at him, You're upset
at him for making more money. Again, kind of twisting
the context, but doing it very sharp and very quick.
Had an opportunity to match it. Why didn't you match
it if that's your boy? Again, very quick and kept
it all strictly. This is why we got him on
to the next And again, you guys can think that
Dana White's a piece of shit. You can think that
Dana White's making a mistake paying for Connor Bran fifteen

(29:33):
million dollars, And to be honest, it is kind of
a slap of the face to UFC fighters that are
like what the Sean Serrickling probably just fought for seven
hundred and fifty thousand this weekend and Connor band just
got fifteen million for one fight. I think there's only
a handful of fighters in UFC history that have ever
made that for one fight in the UFC, right, like
Connor Habib, maybe John Jones, maybe Ronda Rousey, maybe Brockles,

(29:53):
maybe Chail and Anderson the first or second pay per view,
but nobody else is making that kind of money. So
you I could bring that point up and I think, yeah,
he has like, yeah, UFC fighters are going to take
that as a slap in the face. The thing is,
David don't give a shit. He's going to keep doing.
You better find another plan of attack. Is if you
can't match him financially, I don't know what you can do.
Here's Connor ben on his decision. There's a couple of
videos will take a look out of here. Here's the

(30:14):
first one that started to make him think differently about
what he wanted to do with his career.

Speaker 9 (30:18):
Spent some time with me girl Kotto in Germany. He's
one of my heroes by the way, he's like the
girl cos just the g and he had said to me,
I said, so, like, you're like, my hero is gone.
Why Why why am I your hero? I was like,
you're just my favorite fire He's gone and then he
pulled me aside and then had a word with me,
and he said, he's the belts, you know.

Speaker 2 (30:39):
Me nothing.

Speaker 9 (30:40):
You want to make sure and he has like this
voice when he talks, he's you want to make sure.
The best decision you made is a decision you made
for the best interest of your kids. That's your legacy.
Your legacy is your kids. And when I look back
in ten fifteen years time ago, I made the right
decision for my kids and my family. Yes I do.

Speaker 1 (30:58):
I've been telling you guys this more and more. I
don't want to be the person that's yelling the belts
don't mean anything. The belts don't mean anything because world
championship belts do mean something, or they are supposed to
mean something. They're supposed to mean you're the best in
the world. That is what legacy is. And yes, Floyd
Mayweather has said it many times. Legacy won't feed my kids, right,
Legacy won't pay my bills. And we're seeing that with
Floyd now. Apparently he paid so much money outside of

(31:20):
the ring and lost a lot of it that he's
having to come back and fight. Not only the Mike
Tyson Exhibition, which is a sham. But also he's going
to put his pro record on the line. If that
don't tell you Floyd Mayweather's broke, I don't know what will.
But you're hearing this more and more from fighters now
that they aren't necessarily caring about these belts right the
way that the World championships in boxing right now are introduced,

(31:40):
are implemented and how the system works, because it used
to be those belts meant more money. Right, you win
a belt, either pay per view, showtime, HBO, whatever, you
are then in turn going to make more money. You're
top of the card. The pay structure in boxing is
a lot of money at the top of the card
and nothing underneath it. That's changing, and all of a sudden,
the four belts the sanctioning bodies don't mean as much,
and fighters from Connor Ben to Sjakor Stevenson to Parents

(32:03):
Crawford to Keyshawn Davis to Jo Pataiah and Moore are
signaling this same sentiment. I think boxing and the sanctioning
bodies all thought that, well, these fighters will stay because
the legacy of the WBC belt, the legacy of the
Green Belt, the legacy of the WBO, the WBA, the
legacy legacy. No fighters want to be world champions, but
it doesn't mean they have to fight for your belt

(32:25):
to get That doesn't mean your belt signifies world champion.
It does for now, and I'm telling you this zoofa
move and yeah, okay, the ZUFA boxing belt, we'll see
how much that means. But it's not about that. It's
that belt, the Ring Magazine belt, the belt that was
given to the baddest man in the division wasn't controlled
by a sanctioning body. That's the belt that fighters look
at historically as the world champion. And if ZUFA has

(32:47):
their way, creating a boxing league and being a boxing
promotion and intertwining those things, that's the way it's going
to go. I think fighters are okay with it as
long as that price tag shows that they're treated like
the best in the world. And that's what everybody's missing
about the belt talk right now. Yeah, I think there's
way too many belts in boxing and creating a zoofa
belt doesn't help that. But if creating a zoofa league
and using the Ring Magazine belt as the championship and

(33:09):
doing away with the bureaucratics for sanctioning bodies as if
they have any real power other than setting rankings and
demanding a fee for their winners, just like a league
would do. And we condense things into one champion over
this many divisions. I gotta say that seems like a
more efficient way of running boxing than what we currently have.
It seems like fighters are starting to think the same.
Last video here, here's Connor speaking on the way things

(33:32):
went down with Eddie Hearn. This one, I think is
going to reveal a lot about Connor and how he
handled the situation, which again I think was not done
very well.

Speaker 9 (33:40):
Obviously.

Speaker 10 (33:40):
There the elephant in the room is is my left
mont trimp Just your kind of reflection on that period
of time.

Speaker 9 (33:47):
Yeah, Ultimately, listen, my career is based on matchrom you know,
they are the foundation and what I am today.

Speaker 4 (33:54):
You know, I've gone offing a lot.

Speaker 9 (33:55):
Fady of our Sidi to be part of my team
in my corner still with me because the journey's not over.
I have a friendship with Eddie, so you know, I'm
forever grateful. I'm also excited about the future and what
it brings. You know, for me, I've got family, I've
got my own kids.

Speaker 1 (34:09):
I want my family to be.

Speaker 9 (34:10):
Blessed, and the decision I made is purely for my family.
You know, Miguel cart One said to me, what's your
legacy I've got here?

Speaker 11 (34:19):
You're my hero, You're you're this, and you're that.

Speaker 9 (34:21):
You know he's gone.

Speaker 11 (34:21):
Why I've gone? You a great fight?

Speaker 9 (34:23):
You want all the belts he's done. The belts don't
mean nothing. Your kids are your legacy. You want to
look back in the future and go. Was the decision.
I made the best decision for my kids. This is
by far the best decision for my family, because I'm
not going to refuse the deal for somebody's ego, because
when I'm said and done and retired, who's going to
care about me? Like all the great world champions, some

(34:45):
of them living in carbon.

Speaker 1 (34:46):
I don't I don't listen. I don't hate what Connor's saying. Here,
This right here is the perfect rationale to make the
decision he made. Although you know saying a Eddie, I
still want you to be a part of my team,
be in my corner, carry the bags. He didn't say that,
but that's it's kind of what he's saying, Eddie. You
could carry the bags, dude, that is crazy working, Eddie.
I still want you to be a part of the team, still,

(35:07):
my guy. Not now, dude, he can't say that now.
Can you imagine Eddie walks into the ring anyway after
getting done dirty? No. I think that that again, Connor
made the right decision for him and his family, if
this is truly what he values now, if he took
what Miguel Coto said and just took it to heart,
and he's right. You know, there are some guys that
won all the belts, or you know, won some of

(35:28):
the belts, was a world champion, or not living a
great life now, can't afford certain things, can't even afford
to live, didn't manage their money correctly. And I fully
agree with the decision he made for himself, his family,
all of that. I get it. But it could have
been handled better. And I think Connor knows that, And
that's going to be the hardest part for him to admit,
is that he didn't. He didn't handle it the right way.
Not that he owes Eddie anything for all the things

(35:50):
that he did for him, but I just think that
he could have gave him a call.

Speaker 9 (35:52):
And you still want that, my friend, he's my guy,
he's Oltimately, he should be happy for me to I'm
in this position. I mean, I want him to be
part of me. You know, I'm missing Doty s and Eddie.
I want to be part of the team.

Speaker 11 (36:04):
Man to be here.

Speaker 9 (36:06):
The journey's not done.

Speaker 4 (36:08):
Everything to them.

Speaker 1 (36:10):
Want you to be a part of the team. The
journey's not done. Yeah, I mean, if that was the case,
and this was the sentiment, I don't understand why Connor
wouldn't just get on the phone and say this to Eddie.
He said he messaged him that again. If if it's
me looking on the outside and it looks like this
is Connor speaking to Eddie through the cameras and not
speaking to Eddie directly, I don't know the situation. The
way Eddie reacted was not like Connor and him are

(36:33):
still homies, are cool. I think that Bridge is probably
burned personally right this whole like we're buddies, we're friends.
He's my guy. Connor may believe that. It's clear that
Eddie doesn't. So they're not guys, they're not boys. It's
gonna be very difficult for Eddie to to part of
the team. I don't even know what that means. Like
now Eddie's taking marching orders from Dana White, like no, dude.

(36:53):
That to me, that seems like Connor, you know, kind
of running defense for how he handled the situation. And
again I think there's just no way to look at it.
Then he didn't handle it very well, and that's that's
just the truth. You left Eddie to go to ZUFA,
that's fine, but the betrayal is the idea that you
did it kind of in the shrouded darkness. That's where
Eddie is like, Okay, that's his character, right, didn't have
to go with Eddie, didn't have to stay with Mattroom

(37:14):
and have to remain loyal or whatever. She at least
should have given him the call.

Speaker 9 (37:18):
It looked like for Connor Ban the super box and
the future looks like exciting fights in the UK, in
the US, the big fighters, it'll be easy to get
made and ultimately money, money always talks, and you know
they maybe en not could not refuse me, I mean, could.

Speaker 2 (37:36):
Not refuse.

Speaker 11 (37:39):
What are the big fights?

Speaker 9 (37:40):
Who are the names that you've got Garcia front run Off,
you have Haini, you have Chakor, you.

Speaker 11 (37:45):
Have Rollie.

Speaker 9 (37:48):
There's names out there, there's big names over here in America.
For me, listen, I want to get back down to
one four seven. I want to make sure that I
follow appropriate manner of getting my weight down. What that
means having to tick over in the meantime, all I
want to give the fans the fights they want.

Speaker 11 (38:03):
I want to deliver entertainment to the public.

Speaker 9 (38:04):
I'm a servant in the public.

Speaker 1 (38:06):
This is what I'm here to do.

Speaker 9 (38:07):
He's give you, guys, the biggest fights possible, the biggest.

Speaker 1 (38:09):
I agree with him. He is definitely you know, the fights.
The public likes when he fights. The public is not
going to like him after this, but they will like
when he fights. And I also think that he said
something in there that maybe kind of went over people's heads.
He's the money will always talk, and he was talking
about himself, but he was also talking about some of
these opponents. How the fights are going to get made.
That's the big question we have right now. How are

(38:30):
these fights even going to get made? Kind of answered
it right there, and I think he knows a little
bit more than he's saying when he says the money
always talks.

Speaker 11 (38:36):
What did you make of pressure your banks kind of
from today. Do you think that?

Speaker 9 (38:40):
Actually not on social media?

Speaker 2 (38:42):
So I don't really, I've actually been that.

Speaker 9 (38:44):
I've been in Socialist for a week, ten days, you know.
So ultimately, if he's been piping up, he needs to
just go and cry about wherever he's got going on,
you know, like go and get another test.

Speaker 4 (38:59):
And I'm saying, what.

Speaker 9 (39:00):
Was it he had ibs?

Speaker 2 (39:02):
He's probably upset about that.

Speaker 1 (39:04):
Still, well, Connor, you guys didn't know Chrissy Bake Junior
has been roasting both Connor and Eddie like he's been
calling Connor a scumback for leaving Eddie, but Eddie was
a scumback too. He's just he's been on Twitter all
day since this happened two days, replying to Connor, replying
to Eddie. It's been very funny. It's been good Banner.
But yeah, that's again. I think that's Connor just trying

(39:25):
to like, no, didn't see it, don't care about it. Whatever.
It's gonna be interesting when he gets in a press
conference with somebody that tries to use this and weaponize
it against him, like, look at how much of a
scumbag you are?

Speaker 9 (39:35):
Do it?

Speaker 1 (39:35):
Out it out? Not that it will matter because I
think at this point Connor has been through the ringer
with Chris Ubank talking crazy shit and he's been able
to handle that. So we'll see. But yeah, it's been
a funny, funny couple of days on Twitter before I
not you already have a message to first Day Eddie
and Mantram for everything.

Speaker 9 (39:50):
Over the last year. So grateful, fever appreciative and I
could have been more happy with the job they've done
with me. And ultimately I'm excited for the future, and
this is the future.

Speaker 11 (40:02):
I think everybody can respect.

Speaker 9 (40:03):
The decision that I've made for my family above anybody
and everybody else. My family comes first every day of
the week. And as I said twice on Sundays with
a shadow of it down.

Speaker 1 (40:13):
I don't again, I can't. I can't hate the decision.
I just don't think again, the way he handled it
was anywhere closed. I don't even want to look at
the commentstant Eddie is my guy, but I won't take
a phone call from him. He can read a letter
from my lawyers and be happy for me. That is
the crazy part. Yeah, this guy, Timmy has got it
nailed down in the comments. That's the crazy part. If
that's your guy, give him a call, right, If that's

(40:34):
your dude, and y'all are homies like that. And again
it's just business. It is just strictly business, and that's
your friend, and the relationship's personal and all that which
we saw it was in calling, right, that's all you
had to do. And again, I like Connor. I've met Connor,
spoken with him, great dude, always appreciateive of his time.
But this is a clear cut one for me, right,
and I think if everybody else too. But this is

(40:54):
where the genius in this move lies for Connor. If
he can take it down this route, he can become
one of the biggest villains boxing, one of the most
watched but most hated, most wanted to see get knocked out,
but also put on entertaining and hard nose, scrap like fights,
which may earn him some fans back. I don't know,
but he can run with this and become like a

(41:15):
super villain in boxing, and boxing needs villains. Look at
the Devin Haney situation with Ryan Garcia. They made Devon
into a villain and all he did was show up
to fight, you know what I'm saying, And then they
made Ryan Garcia the villain. It became an interesting side
quest and an interesting sidebar from watching them fight. You
get these personalities in boxing and it creates stars. This

(41:37):
move to Zufa, I think is going to get more
attention on him, Maybe not the one he wants, but
that's what the public saw. The way you handled the situation,
You're now one of the biggest, if not the biggest
villain in boxing. I think you should run with it.
But there it is crazy what's happening in the sport
right now. But remember when I told you this is
a crazy situation and definitely a betrayal of trust or

(41:58):
whatever loyalty from Connor to Eddie. He did Eddie wrong
here by not giving him the call. Again, I don't
have any problem with Connor taking fifteen million dollars. Every
fighter should get their bag. But I'm telling you this,
he will not be the last. I think it's going
to be all out free for all on some of
the biggest names in the sport, and it's gonna happen
sooner than later. What do I mean, who's it gonna be?
I don't have those answers, but folks, like I said

(42:21):
in the last video boxing is in an all out war.
Who wins? I guess we'll find out. All right, folks,
we are back on the way concept presented by the Ring,
and we have breaking news. I just talked to you guys.
I guess last week or the week before that. The
days are running together about Floyd Mayweather and his broke
ass coming back to an exhibition versus Mike Tyson and

(42:41):
how pathetic and I mean a flat out money grab
it was for both guys, because no one wants to
see an exhibition between two guys, one in his sixties,
one about to hit fifty. If it's not gonna be
in the same weight class, if it's not gonna be
at the same weight, and it's not going to mean anything.
The same thing I said about Jake Paul Gavonte Davis.
Why do something with that big of margins other than

(43:02):
to make money? So you know my feelings on that.
But as of about twenty minutes ago, we have even
more breaking news. As many Pakiao had been rumored to
come back and fight in a pro matchup after the
Mike Tyson fight. We didn't know the name, but you
could probably speculate. Now it's official. We are getting Floyd
Mayweather versus Many Pakyow two in Las Vegas. They're doing

(43:25):
it at the Sphere, and not only is that the case,
but it's going to be on Netflix. I don't think
that's on this poster, but there it is. Actually, I
just missed the freaking poster Floyd versus Manny two on
Netflix and before that's September nineteenth on a Saturday. I
don't know if the Ring magazine is involved with this.
I see Floyd's promotion. I know that al Haman's not
gonna be involved with it after our last video and

(43:47):
many Pakyo promotions. But I know you guys are gonna
expect me to absolutely spread my cheeks and drop a
fat shit on this, and I'm going to talk about
the reality of the fight. But you can't deny one
thing that it's far better than Floyd Mike Tyson and
it's far more interesting then Manny's comeback after Many Packyaw's
announcement he was coming back to fight Ruslyn Provodnikov, former

(44:07):
world champion in his own right. At least that'll be
somewhat competitive, But it was an exhibition fight. Both guys
to get ready for this one, and we have to
talk about it. This is insane, yeah, but it's also
par for the course in boxing. The fights you never
thought we'd get to see again or at all are happening.
So let's talk about it. May Pack, may Mac whatever
you want to call it. Round two. It's Floyd Mayweather

(44:30):
versus Manny pacyaw September nineteen, Live on Vegas, The Breakdown.
Let's go. This is just announced minutes ago. The Ring magazine,
I want to say, maybe did an article on it. Okay,
here is the thoughts. First thoughts from both guys. From Pakiao,

(44:50):
I want Floyd to live with the one loss on
his professional record and always remember who gave it to it. Floyd,
I already fought and beat Manny once. This time will
be the same. Results, already have quotes. They're already pushing
this fight heavy.

Speaker 3 (45:02):
Now.

Speaker 1 (45:02):
Yes, is this fight happening because Floyd is going broke?
Absolutely all right. We're just gonna get that out of
the way right away. Floyd has lost a lot of money,
which is why he's continuing to fight through his career.
And listen, Manny's political run in the Philippines wasn't great, right,
so they're going back to what they do best in
this rematch, if anything is going to be interesting for
a couple of reasons. Number One, it's Mayweather and pac Yaw.

(45:25):
The biggest fight that's ever happened in combat sports. It
wasn't at their best. We'll talk about how I think
this version's going to go, but was it four point
two million pay per view buys? The biggest fight we
thought we'd ever see, and it may still be that,
But this is going to do numbers as well, no
doubt about it. But the reason this fight is at
least more interesting to me now than either of their exhibitions.
And yeah, I'm throwing away how the first fight went

(45:47):
and that they were past their prime in that one,
and that I may be getting the wool pulled over
my eyes for what we actually might see. But let's
be honest. Though Floyd's forty nine, Manny's forty seven, we
know what we're gonna get. They're not going to be
in their prime. We don't expect them to be in
Manny Pakiao just came off a world title fight where
I thought he beat Mario Barrios. I thought he beat him.
Now granted it was a draw, and we just saw

(46:07):
Mario Barrios get absolutely skunked by Ryan Garcia. It's showing
us that one, like I've said, Mario Barrios is one
of the worst world champions in boxing, or he was. Again,
that's no offense to Mario, it's just the reality is
he was not one of the stronger champions two. The
game is obviously always going, it's always on that forward treadmill,
so it's passed him by. But it showed that many

(46:29):
could compete at least at some high level still in boxing,
and Floyd, even with the twenty billion exhibitions he's done
to sully his name, it's shown that he still got
it right. So whatever that level still is that they have,
it will be relatively similar. You could even argue that
Many out of the two of them, has still looked
like he could can be at a higher level then

(46:50):
Floyd has as of recently, because Floyd's been doing exhibitions,
Floyd hasn't been competing in pro fights, and Many just
got done fighting in a world title fight, So there's
intrigue in that as well. Like is this version of
Many better than the many that fought Floyd the first time?
Let's not forget that there was the controversy of the
injured shoulder right in the first fight, where Manny came
out after the fight, which I'm not a big fan of,

(47:11):
saying he had a right shoulder injury that the Vegas
Athletic Commission wouldn't let him get an anti inflammatory shot
or a cortizone shot, maybe even in the shoulder the
night of the fight. And that was a big controversy
at the time. Was the reason Floyd won a decision
was because Manny wasn't able to throw his jab as much.
His right shoulder was injured. He couldn't get things going
because he couldn't work off his jab, or you know,

(47:33):
whatever the excuses were at the time. I'm not a
big fan of the post fight excuses, but it created
a narrative if they ever wanted to go back to
the fight, that there was a little bit of an
open window to do it. And sure enough, eleven years later,
both men are about to hit fifty. Here we are, Okay,
that's the hype of this, that's the interest of it. Right,

(47:54):
two of the biggest names in the history of the sport.
They're both old, we get that, but they're both doing
this in a pro This will not be an exhibition,
It'll be a pro fight. So it is going to
go on someone's record. Could Many actually take Floyd's oh away?
And here I am getting drug into this thing. And
you know what, I'm not even mad about it because
I understand what it is. It's not gonna be the
highest level of fight between these two, and I don't

(48:16):
think it it soullies their name any worse than what
Floyd was doing with what John Gotti the third no
offense to top three black person of all time, but
Degie some other fights that no one really watched or
cared about. Floyd did that to himself, but he still
has the drawing power across from his greatest rival in
Manny Pakiao to make this an interesting fight. And again,
it's a pro fight. So if Floyd goes in there

(48:38):
and gets touched up or doesn't have it anymore and
the reflexes aren't what they were, and Floyd, and we've
seen Many, still has a little bit of it. He
looked a little old in the Barrio's fight, looked a
little susceptible to being hit, but still has it on
the offensive side, still has heavy hands, hurt Barrios with
some punches you never know, and make no mistake about it.
That's why you're watching this fight to see who still
has it at their age, to see the lawn jevity

(49:00):
played right. We argue about Michael Jordan versus Lebron James.
At Michael Jordan's peak, there was no one better than
him in basketball and the history of the sport. But
Lebron James was at the top of his peak for
a longer period of time that carried him into more
of the goat conversations than maybe he even had a
right to be in. But he's playing like he's twenty
seven at thirty seven, right, and many outlast Floyd. That'll

(49:21):
be the question. Can he carry his ability, carry his technique,
carry his skill further in life than Floyd did and
put one blimish on Floyd's record. That's why you're watching this,
not because they're world championship level. It's not because they're
even at you know, domestic level. Whatever the level they're at,
it'll be somewhat of an even playing field and it
won't be an exhibition. So there's that now. Obviously, the

(49:43):
first fight was a bit of a bore, even though,
I think we're gonna do a breakdown. I would love
to get my hands on the footage of that first
fight to do a full fight breakdown here on the channel.
Hopefully we can get that done. I think it just
needs to happen, and we have time. This is announced
in February, so we have March, April, May, June, July, August,
seven months before we get to the fight, and I
think that'll be an interesting breakdown to go back and

(50:05):
look at it, because there was nice exchanges in that fight,
and no, again, it wasn't the most volume heavy fight.
As we look back at the final copy box numbers
from the fight, there was four hundred punches thrown between
the two of them, though, and one hundred and forty
eight landed on Floyd's side to Mandy's eighty one. He
couldn't really get it going. His connection percentage was super low,
but his output was super low. For many pack you
out Manny threw more power, which he expected Floyd with

(50:27):
more jabs, but he was more way more efficient with
his power, landing more while throwing less. And you see
the average punches per round down at thirty six. I
don't expect much different this time around. If anything, they're
probably gonna throw less punches than that for round. The
only thing I don't want, and again it's a pro fight,
so both guys are going to approach this with that mindset.
I don't want to see that glorified sparring match. You

(50:48):
can get away with that when you do exhibitions. And
again Floyd fighting and his exhibition versus Mike Tyson in
the Congo to get ready for this that's on April
twenty fifth, and like we saw a second ago, Manny
takes his on April eighteenth from the Thomas and Macarreena
in Vegas. So this must have been planned in the
works before they even announced the exhibition fights, right, and

(51:08):
again Floyd's got a tough one. Ruslyn is a former
world champion. It's a ten round welterweight fight. That's not
that's not, you know, the same exhibition that Floyd is doing.
They don't even have rounds yet for the Floyd and
Mike Tyson deal, minutes, none of that. It's a ten
round exhibition, but it's a it's a fight because Russelyn's
a bad mother. But this was all had I mean,
it had to have been set up put in play

(51:28):
for those two to come together in September. They needed
a tune up fight for each of them that wasn't
going to count against them on their records. Hopefully no
one gets knocked out in those two exhibition fights, and
again they're two of the best of all time. They
could probably avoid it. Then they come out in September
and have one final go at it. I told you guys,
Lloyd is going broke, and there's no other clear explanation

(51:50):
other than you know, we can look through the court
documents of him versus Showtime, but missing three hundred and
forty million dollars being years and years behind on his taxes.
That's clearly the motivation for this. And because Floyd, obviously
you know, he is one of the best of all time.
So if he still can do it, do it. But
Mike Tyson followed by Manny Pakia will get you out
of a lot of financial bad situations and bad decision making.

(52:13):
So this is why I think Floyd is doing this
more than anything else, leveraging his fifty to zero career
because that will bring in the viewership and Netflix seeing
the partner here this. I don't know if it's going
to approach it. But if there was a matchup to
beat Mike Tyson versus Jake Paul on Netflix, seeing as
again it was eleven years ago, but four point two
million pay per view bys, and seeing as a casual

(52:36):
audience doesn't really give a shit if you're fifty eight
years old Mike Tyson, if you're Anthony Joshua, Jake Paul,
the competitiveness of that fight wasn't really ever in question.
They don't care. They want to see names they recognize
going into that ring. They won't care that Floyd's forty
nine and Manny's forty seven. We will, and we'll know
what we expect, right, We'll expect a very, you know,
watered down version of even what they were a decade ago,

(52:57):
and neither of them really having what they had even then,
let alone in their prime. But still, like I said,
at least there's somewhat on the same playing field and
those two names. If there was anyone to break Jake
Paul Mike Tyson's Netflix record, it would be this fight.
I'm not gonna go out and predict it because I
don't know what the drawing power looks like for Floyd
after he's done exhibition after exhibition, kind of run his

(53:18):
name through the mud, and then you know, Manny still
has big time drawing power, but worldwide, I'm telling you
they might get close, and they might do it. Who knows,
who knows. It was the first one on Netflix for
Mike and Jake, and it was Mike Tyson who was
a nuclear level star. But this is still the matchup
between the biggest pay per view draw in combat sports history.

(53:39):
So you can't tell me they won't approach that number
that Jake and Mike did. They may even cross that barrier,
and that's something to watch as well. But again, we
all know what we're getting in terms of the actual fight.
It's not gonna be what it once was. Floyd Verspachiela
twenty twenty six, The Unk Fight, Baby, the Unction, Oh

(54:01):
my goodness. So yeah, this is breaking news. Even though
their first fight as Teddy Atlas the Great and Whise,
Teddy Atlas says, let me understand this, the first fight
was five years too late. So now we're gonna do
the second eleven years later, and Floyd has the tune
up with Tyson. Okay, let's go. He's right, He's right.
Their first fight was five years too late, and you
could argue is more than that seven years too late,

(54:22):
but now we're talking eleven years after that. Again, just
know what you're getting into. That's the way I approach
these things. Yeah, I know I'm not gonna see the
greatest of their skill levels, but I'm interested in seeing
who kept their skill longer, which unks still got it.
That's what I want to see because they both can
clearly still do it. Manny has shown he can do
it at again a decent level, going in there with

(54:42):
Mario Barrios and in my opinion, beaten him, so he
can still go at a decent level. Floyd we still
don't know, since he's done exclusively exhibitions against guys he
should have beaten that were you know, farcical. For the
most part, it presents a different question than you normally
would get in boxing, but the same question you asked
with Mike does he still have it? And on that
night we knew he absolutely didn't. But for whatever level

(55:05):
we're gonna get, we still have that answer out there
for Manny and Floyd, who has it still? Who is
still retained some of the best talent that we've ever
seen in boxing, and that's the way I'm gonna look
at it. So yeah, I can't lie. I'm interested. I'm
actually kind of excited for it. They got me again, dude,
Floyd got me again. But it won't be because I'm
trying to delude myself into thinking this is something that

(55:26):
it is. We know what we're getting into, and boxing
has shown us over the last five years that these
type of fights are well liked by the common man,
by the public, and at least in this one, it's
a pro fight where Manny has one more chance to
take Floyd's Oh can he do it? What do you
think about this fight? Is it a big sham to you, guys?
Or you kind of Are you tired of seeing these
older fighters that may not have made great financial decisions

(55:48):
for themselves and have to come crawling back to boxing
to payoff some debts or because they're going absolutely broke.
Is that sad? Or is it just a case of
two legends of the sport that still want one more chance.
I tend to think it's probably the first, but maybe
it's a little bit of the second, And absolutely it's
still on both guys' minds. Before we get out of here,
let's take a look at Floyd and his preparation for

(56:09):
the Mike Tyson exhibition and for many pacial courtesy of
fight Hub TV. The guys over shout out Markos and
the guys over there. If you guys want to see
a breakdown on it and some training footage and or
newer footage from any pacw you click, make sure you
hit the like button, subscribe, and let me know down
in the comments what do you think of this fight?
Like I said, are you into it? Are you not?
Because it's happening either way, one question will remain who wins?

(56:32):
I don't have those answers, but I guess we'll find out.
All right, So we are back on the way concept
presented by the Ring Magazine, And while boxing right now
is getting very messy, we may do a video on
it with the rival promotions and the Ring Magazine and
Turkey Yella's Shake and Sella and Frank Warren and Eddie
Hearn and all of that. If you want a video

(56:54):
on that, let me know down below. It's going crazy
right now, But that is not the controversy I want
to address today. As I've seen Darence, Bud Crawford back
on the Joe Rogan experience, and among other things, he
was talking about his fight with Canelo, he's talking about
the Ryan garcias of course Stevenson potential matchup. But he
also fed into the conspiracy theory that Mike Tyson and

(57:17):
Jake Paul was scripted. And I think this is absolutely
insane that we keep doing this, that we keep saying
that this fight was scripted and not just acknowledged reality
that Mike Tyson was an old, broken man. So now
I am here to once again dispel the conspiracy theory
because I think it takes away from Mike's hard work

(57:41):
to even make it to the fight. The guy almost
died of ulcers, according to know what he was saying,
and then showed up and actually fought. I don't think
he was in there trying to not hurt Jake for
a check, just like I don't think Jake was trying
to take it easy on him until the last couple
of rounds, when he probably figured out that there was
really nothing than else to gain by beating up the

(58:01):
old man, and that Mike was truly a very old, slow,
broken man. But anyway, that's what we're gonna do, is
step by step break this down. No, Jake Paul vers
Mike Tyson was not script and no Mike Tyson did
not let Jake win because he was paid to do so.
This seems to be the conspiracy theory that will never die.
But I'm gonna try to put it to rest today

(58:22):
because it's time for the breakdown. Let's go, all right,
So here's Terrence Crawford on the Joe Rogan experience. He's
gonna have an exhibition with Tyson, which is crazy.

Speaker 4 (58:35):
That's crazy.

Speaker 1 (58:36):
We're talking about Floyd in Tyson, which is coming up
I think in the next couple months. Mike is so
much bigger than him. He's so much bigger than him.

Speaker 12 (58:45):
He's not gonna land a fist on Mayweather. Yep, right,
it's not after his last performance.

Speaker 13 (58:54):
What do you think was going on with that the
last one, It looked a little bit like sparring.

Speaker 4 (58:58):
Yeah, I don't know. I think it was scripting.

Speaker 12 (59:01):
Yeah, I ain't never seen Tyson biting his gloves and all.

Speaker 1 (59:04):
Right, so let's just get one thing out of the way.
Rogan is kind of putting that idea out there that
something fishy was going on. Oh, it looked like sparring.
What was it supposed to look like? That's what I
would ask Joe. What was it? What was fifty eight
year old Mike Tyson supposed to look like?

Speaker 2 (59:20):
What?

Speaker 1 (59:20):
Because he he retained some sort of physical great shape,
because he was still fast for three second bursts cut
together in a highlight to promote the fight, and he
was still sparring in what seven years before that? Six
years before that? He looked okay for his age versus
Roy Jones. What are we talking about? It was supposed
to look like that. Now on the other side, I

(59:42):
will say Jake looked not great, very sloppy, overweight, slow
and lethargic because he was two hundred and twenty pounds,
which is way bigger than Jake Paul needs to be
for any fight ever. And he looked green because Jake
Paul is, you know, in terms of the comparison between
him and high level box very new to the sport
even though yeah, he's been doing it for the last

(01:00:03):
seven years now. My point is that's exactly how I
expected that fight to look. Honestly, I thought Jake was
gonna get him out of there. I'll be honest. I
thought Jake was gonna knock Mike out cold. And I
think Jake, if he had come into that fight a
little more sharp and apparently there was a foot injury
or I think he probably could have because Mike was
eating some of those punches. Jake was throwing punches ridiculously hard. Again,

(01:00:25):
let's not fool ourselves into thinking Jake came in there
to kind of dance around with Mike. He was very
cautious of Mike early in that fight, very very cautious
of Mike's power and just what he would have left
at fifty eight years old or whatever.

Speaker 2 (01:00:38):
It was.

Speaker 1 (01:00:38):
The point being, early in that fight Jake was out
for blood, realized he probably couldn't knock Mike out, didn't
want to take any more risks, and for about thirty
seconds Mike was a live fighter, and then after that
it tailed off very quickly. So, Yeah, when Joe says
it was a spar it was clear that it wasn't.
But it was just a lack of any ability left
in Mike Tyson. Which is why this this Mike Tyson

(01:01:01):
Floyd Mayweather fight is even or exhibition is even more
sad because you've already seen the illusion of what Mike
has left, has already gone. We saw it. Versus Jake Paul,
he was limping on his way to the ring, probably
got terrible hips, still strong as an ox, but how
much can you really expect him to do anything? Versus Floyd?
Couldn't really land on I mean, landed like one or

(01:01:23):
two bunches on Jake, but couldn't really do much with him.
What's he gonna try to do with Floyd Mayweather. Floyd's
going to make him look silly in this exhibition, and
it's gonna look worse than what we saw with Jake
because of you know, how small Floyd is. But Terrence
Crawford said something interesting there as well. He said, you know,
I've never seen Mike Tyson bite his gloves like that.
And I think Terrence Crawford is a pretty big historian

(01:01:45):
of the sport, and I'm not saying he should know
everything about it. I certainly don't. But Mike Tyson has
indeed bit his gloves, and this is what Terrence is
talking about. This was the the uh, you know, narrative
around the fight was that Mike Tyson was biting his
gloves so that he wouldn't punch Jake in the face
because that blurred out his crack. That's crazy. They were

(01:02:07):
Mike was biting his gloves so that he wouldn't, you know,
punch out Jake. He was holding himself back. Let's see. Look,
there's even like Instagram videos of it. Yo.

Speaker 14 (01:02:14):
Did you notice Mike Tyson biting his own glove in
the Jake Paul fight? He was like putting his thumb
in his mouth like that, like fuck you on Even
Roy Jones and the other announcers were arguing over it.

Speaker 12 (01:02:26):
I got I don't like to kind of keeping us
in the mouth pieced right.

Speaker 1 (01:02:33):
I've seen it throughout his career. It's interesting.

Speaker 14 (01:02:35):
And then you look closer and he's for sure fighting
his glove. And when they asked Tyson about it later
in the interview, this is what he said.

Speaker 15 (01:02:42):
Broadcast team was debating what you were doing with your gloves?
Was it a mouthpiece issue or were you just biting
on your gloves?

Speaker 4 (01:02:48):
What was that?

Speaker 1 (01:02:49):
Could you tell us I have a habit of my
gloves my fight yet, why do you do that?

Speaker 5 (01:02:54):
I have a biting fixation.

Speaker 1 (01:02:57):
I've heard about that. It's a great answer for no
more a bit. I have a biting fixation.

Speaker 11 (01:03:03):
Fixation.

Speaker 1 (01:03:04):
Yo, did you notice Mike Tyson. That's hilarious. Now, what
I think he really means is, yeah, he does have
a habit of doing that in his fights. A year
from Mike himself. It's not like some crazy conspiracy people
made it into that because obviously that's what the Internet does.
They take things, run with it and act like there
had to be a reason why he didn't knock Jake

(01:03:25):
Paul out. The reason was Mike was fifty nine years old,
I think, or maybe fifty eight at the time. And
even the Great Teddy Atlas has spoken about this with
Tyson and his.

Speaker 16 (01:03:34):
Career questions out there. My son told me about the
thumb biting. Okay, thumb biting, right, And we're not talking
about the thumb biting with your nephews or with your
children or you know, with that stuff. We're talking about
Mike Tyson biting his thumb doing the car. First of all,
that's something that he did in his amageur day, he
did in his pro days, and now of course he

(01:03:55):
did it again. That's something that he has done. Uh,
and he's you know, for people that follow Mike Tyson
in his career, they've seen him before people are saying, Oh,
and Tyson's smart, he's witty. You know, he knows what
to say, he knows the image. He knows the importance
of having that image, you know how important. That's why

(01:04:16):
he got all the money. It wasn't about what he
had left at fifty eight. It was what maybe he
might have any again. The image. The image the scary guy,
the guy that is gonna eat your children, the guy
who's the baddest man on the planet. You know, just
that image that's sold. Though when that last smack, you know,
like that that made people oh, maybe he's that guy still.

(01:04:39):
Well he wasn't, but maybe he's still that And look.

Speaker 1 (01:04:42):
Up, but he's Teddy's cooking right now. I didn't even
want to stop the video because he's cooking. But yes,
what Teddy says right there is one hundred correct. The
reason that fight sold, the reason this Floyd and Mike
fight will probably still sell, is because of Tyson's image projection.
He understands how to keep his image. Now you've heard
Teddy Atlas say it, you've heard mar Ronalo on the

(01:05:04):
commentary say it. But I'm gonna show you just for
extra evidence to just completely dispel this narrative that Terrence
Crawford is putting out like, oh, it was a scripted fight, which,
by the way, Jake and Nikisa said they were gonna
start suing people that questioned the legitimacy of the Jake
Paul Mike Tyson fites. Really just any Jake Paul fights.
I wonder if they will proceed with legal action toward

(01:05:24):
Terrence Crawford. Anyway, this is uh, Mike Tyson fighting Kevin McBride,
and this is just you know, one of the examples.
But you'll see him bringing him a warning, biting his glove.
You have to assume that if that happens again. A point, Mike,
here's another example, fighting is glossed. I don't know if
you guys heard that. I'll put captions on Tyson. If

(01:05:46):
you'll notice keeps biding is glossed Tyson, if you'll notice
keeps biting his glove, and then we go, here's there's
another one. And so this was not something that wasn't
commonplace throughout Tyson's career. Him biting on his glove. I
think there was even a rumor where he said he

(01:06:06):
used to do it when he got tired because he
would he would teach him to keep his hands up.
But Terrence Crawford, of all people, falling for the narrative
that this was a scripted fight. That's crazy. And now again,
you don't have to like the result. I know a
lot of boxing fans certainly won't like seeing Jake Paul
having a win over Mike Tyson on his record. But
the reality is Mike didn't beat up Jake because Mike

(01:06:27):
couldn't beat up Jake in fair play to Mike, Jake
couldn't beat him up either, or at least Jake didn't
beat him up that badly either. But it wasn't something
where anyone once they saw the fight starting, or at
least if he had eyes, you realize that that version
of Mike Tyson wasn't even a shadow of his former self.
That was a guy that looked like he shouldn't be

(01:06:48):
doing physical activity, you know what I mean? Like that
that guy looks like he shouldn't be in a ring ever,
and it is. It's sad for boxing. It's sad that
these guys have to keep doing this. And he's gonna
do another one with Floyd Mayweather. It's gonna look even worse.
But it wasn't scripted. It was just bad, right. It
wasn't a script for Mike to lose. He just did
because he has less than nothing left as a boxer.

Speaker 12 (01:07:11):
Like you could just it was taken all that he
could not like hit him.

Speaker 1 (01:07:17):
It is like, no, it wasn't like that. If anything,
you want to argue, like Mike's mind still wanted to
react in the same way that his body did when
he was twenty five, thirty thirty five, whatever. That I
can understand, Like being frustrated that he can't hit Jake,
not that he's not allowed to contractually, but because he

(01:07:38):
physically can't do the same things he used to do.
That I can understand. If you're biting your you know,
glove out of frustration that you can't hit the guy,
or that you can't do the same things you used
to do and your body's not reacting how your mind's
telling it to that I can understand. But it wasn't
some like biting out of frustration that he can't fight
Jake the way he wants to contractually, tractually saying Mike

(01:08:01):
must not knock out Jake. This thing has been dispelled
time and time and time again, and I know, I'm
the guy that everybody is like, oh, look at Way.
It's simping, look at Way Dick riding. But I just
have to tell the truth. This is the truth. Mike
was old as fuck. Of course he couldn't land. Of
course he couldn't do the things he was gonna do
when he was twenty five thirty. If that's prime Mike Tyson,

(01:08:23):
he knocks out Jake within a round, that's obvious to me.
He would have knocked Jake out cold within a round.
And I know that Jake went six with Anthony Joshua.
But Mike technically explosion, not as labored twitch fast twitch
head movement. He was not. He was gonna get to Jake,

(01:08:44):
and he was gonna do it early. But it's good.
I am shocked that Terence Crawford is one of these
guys like, oh, yeah, it was scripted.

Speaker 12 (01:08:51):
It's it's it's his heartbreaking to see an icon go
out like that.

Speaker 1 (01:08:56):
Yeah, you know, And but it's crazy also to see
him fight at fifth he's seven years old, Like, hey, I.

Speaker 12 (01:09:01):
Steel like he shouldn't have been in there.

Speaker 1 (01:09:04):
I agree with this, but again I'm like, I'm trying
to read his comments. Are you thinking that an Icon
went out like selling his soul to Jake Paul. Is
that like what Terrence Crawford thinks. If he means like,
oh an Icon went out in his last fight looking
like that because he was fifty eight, then yeah, I agree.
It is sad to see that, and he shouldn't have
been in there. But this isn't like Mike Tyson went

(01:09:26):
out at fifty seven fifty eight because he was, you know,
abiding by the script to lose to Jake Paul. That's
not what.

Speaker 12 (01:09:32):
Happened at all. You know, I think this is the
money other ways, Yeah, you know, it's other ways for.

Speaker 7 (01:09:37):
But what did he get?

Speaker 11 (01:09:38):
He got at least twenty right, Yeah, it was still
I think with all that money.

Speaker 12 (01:09:44):
Yeah, but with all his connections and things like that,
I think people could have put him in the right
position to make some money.

Speaker 1 (01:09:51):
I agree with. But I've also seen that Mike Tyson
is a terrible decision maker with money, and we've seen
that throughout his career and post care. Yes, he also
surrounds himself with people that do terribly with his money.
Apparently that's better now he's got some good people around
him looking out for him, and you know good, but uh,
he's still gonna go do another exhibition versus Floyd, and

(01:10:12):
I think this will probably you know, be less dangerous.
The idea of fighting Jake was, which is crazy because
Floyd Mayweather. But Floyd just you know, one hundred and
fifty four pounds whatever he is now is not going
to hurt Mike very badly. He's just gonna dance on him,
run around, do whatever. But yeah, I again, I agree
with these points from in the in there. You know,
it's the obvious points from Darren S. Crawford. Yeah, Mike

(01:10:34):
needed that money badly and he got paid very well
for it. But it isn't just Don King that lost
Mike a lot of money. Mike lost Mike a lot
of money too. And if the sanctioning bodies really did
want to make a difference with you know, fighters and
all these sanctioning fees that they take, they would set
up a you know, a by yearly maybe every four

(01:10:55):
months type of sit down meetings with accountant or lawyers
or people that would be able to put them financially
in positions to where when their career is over, they're
not coming back in their forties and fifties, and God
bless sixties to still fight because they have no money.
We're seeing it right now with some of the greatest,

(01:11:17):
some of the guys that we said there's no way
they'll ever fight again. They made way too much money.
Mike Tyson, Floyd Mayweather, Manny Pakyowl though pak Yo just
you know, I don't know financially where he's at, but
it does seem like he just likes to fight. Floyd
Mayweather's made more money in boxing than I think maybe
anyone ever and is fighting for money because he's going
broke on his standards. He's going broke. He owes a

(01:11:37):
lot of money to a lot of people, including the
irs real estate investors. It's bad. So yeah, I think
if these sanctioning bodies were really worth continuing on with,
and if again, if you guys want me to talk
about this this you know, Frank Warren and Queensberry versus
Turk Yella Shake and Sella and ZUFA thing. And I
know not a lot of people are rooting for ZUFA

(01:11:58):
to win this this, you know, and change by boxing.
But I am rooting for change in boxing, whether it's
zoof anything else, because as it sits right now, the
system's broken. The sanctioning bodies are fucking all corrupt and flawed. Boxing. Yes,
has independence, but it operates with wild West mentality, and
there's still corruption between either sanctioning body and fighter manager

(01:12:22):
and fighter promoter and fighter. And you can say that
promoters have the fighter's best interest, but they don't. They
have their own interests involved. But as it hits right now,
the only thing that I can see happening is blowing
this whole thing up and starting over. Because boxing right
now it's in a good place. We're watching great fights,
we're getting the fights we want, but we're also seeing
legends of the sport come back and desecrate their legacies

(01:12:45):
for money, and it's just sad. Anyway, I wanted to
clear it up. The Jake Ball Mike Diyson fight was sad.
It was a rough watch. It was a horrible performance
for honestly both guys, but it definitely wasn't scripted. And
the fact that even the highest level of boxing IQ
guys like Terrence Crawford go out and say that is
it's a little shocking to me. So I guess I

(01:13:05):
just had to make sure that I showed you guys
the reality of it, which is that Mike is fighting
because he still needs money and it's sad. But the
reason he performs like this and the reason he's gonna
perform badly in a couple of months is because he's
fifty fucking eight with everything in his body shutting down,
and he has no other choice, and he had no
other choice. Maybe still doesn't have any other choice. But

(01:13:26):
you guys, let me know what you think down below.
Why is Terrence Crawford running with this scripted narrative? They're
MVP and Jake Paul gonna go after him legally? I
doubt it. But is Mike going to look just as
bad as he did in the Jake fight and the
Floyd fight? I think so, but don't have those answers.
I guess we'll find out, all right. So we are
back on the Way concept presented by The Ring Magazine,
and folks, we have confirmation breaking news bam Man Man

(01:13:49):
May of Connor Ben's next fight. It was announced today
that Connor Ben will be fighting none other than drum Roll.
Please we just progret and I absolutely think Connor Benn
is going to do a number on Regis. That is
not me being disrespectful. There's no disrespect to Regis Progray
for taking this fight. I just think at thirty seven
years old, he's far past his prime. And it's a

(01:14:11):
little confusing if you look at this fight in a
window and say, why would Connor Benn, who was in
conversations to fight potentially Ryan Garcia, potentially Shakor Stevenson, potentially
tia Fimo Lopez, potentially Devin Haney, potentially Roly Romero all
of a sudden end up fighting Regis Progray. But the
devil is in the details, folks, and these details they

(01:14:32):
reveal more than just a one off fight like we've
been led to believe with Zeppah Boxing and Connor Benn.
And I'm telling you now like I've been saying, it
reveals a war is going on in boxing. It's not
inside the ring as much as it's outside. But what
do I mean the breakdown? Let's go? All right? So,

(01:14:55):
like I said, Connor Ben versus Regis Progray live on Netflix, Saturday,
April eleventh, Tottenham Hot Spur Stadium in London, presented by
The Ring Now. Question for you guys, why does that
date sound familiar? Answer is because this will be on
the co main event of the Tyson Fury Our Slam
bec Mac Moodov main event on the same day, So

(01:15:18):
that Netflix card that was built with Tyson Fury, and
a lot of people were saying, well, what's the undercard
for it to be on Netflix? Is it just Tyson
Fury on Netflix? That's gonna sell this thing? Turns out
that Zufa Boxing and Turkeyella Shake Dana White Sella went
after a big fish in Connor Band who has main
invented two big time events now back to back, selling
out sixty thousand at Tottenham Hot Spur Stadium back to

(01:15:40):
back fans going to watch him fight Chris Eubanks Junior.
He's going to be the co main which is an
interesting move because tickets are on sale now and we'll
see how this fight does. I assume it's going to
sell pretty well. But being in the UK, having Connor
been on your show, having Tyson Fury on your show,
and neither of them being represented by their managers and

(01:16:02):
or former promoters is a very interesting move because I'll
be honest, the UK boxing scene is loyal and with
the news of Frank Warren suing or at least a
complaint has been filed for one billion dollars against Turkey
Alas Shak for what I assume, for what Frank Warren
says is a breach of contract for exclusive dealings with

(01:16:25):
Turkeyola Shak and Sella starting Zufa Boxing and not cutting
him into the process, which will affect potential earnings for Queensberry.
This is going to become a very interesting brewing of
a rivalry because what you're essentially seeing is this right here,
Turkey Alla Shak, who oddly enough has business dealings with

(01:16:45):
Matchroom not only on their boxing side, but on their
snooker side, on their dart side, and with his own
and he's had business dealings in the past with Frank Warren,
but Sella and Zufa Boxing are an entity of their own.
So this is essentially what you had before was Turkilis
Shaik funding both Queensberry and Matchroom shows right, being the

(01:17:08):
money behind Connor Ben Chris Ubank Junior being the money
behind Daniel Dubois, Alexander Usik being the money behind Francis
Enghanu versus Tyson Fury and now saying you know, I
am now going to start my own thing and put
my money behind something where I have not only creative involvement,
but it's my own entity ZUFA Boxing, where he appoints

(01:17:32):
his own lead man and cuts these two out of
the process. Dana White is essentially Turkey's promoter, right like, yes,
the Ring Magazine will be promoting this show between Connor
ben Regi's progra Tyson Fury and Machmudoff, but it will
also be a Zufa Co promotion or a ZUFA promoting.
I don't really know how they're gonna phrase it, but

(01:17:52):
it will essentially be Ring Magazine funding, zuf Co promoting
or promoting. Now, obviously Frank Warren is upset with this,
which is why this lawsuit has come out. And again
I don't know the business dealings of who's breaching what
or whatever, but that's Tyson Fury's promoter and Frank Warren
is gonna have no involvement in the show. That is
Eddie Hearn's former I would say, number two highest valued

(01:18:15):
fighter on Mattroom's roster that Turkey and Dana White joinked
away for what's being reported as a fifteen million dollar deal.
So in the matter of a week, there is a
direct shot from Turkey and Dana at Eddie and Frank
and really this this started. I told you guys when
this started with ZUFA, and Turkey said it straight up.
He was like, we're gonna take boxing over. Talking about

(01:18:37):
the joint venture with ZUFA and Dana was a little
bit has to Hey, you know, we're gonna do our
own thing, and that's kind of been Dana's messaging. But
the idea is clear. They want to take over the
sport and they're looking to do it right out of
the gate. Now, this fight is not the craziest fight
in the world. It's not the fight that that I
want for Connor beIN. I want to see him fight
the Ryan Garcias, the Roly Romeros, Devin Hanes, the Shaquor

(01:19:01):
Stevenson's right, Like, I want to see those level names
for Connor. Not because he's earned a right to be
a number one contender whatever, even though the WBC thought so,
but because the name value he creates in the buzz
he brings puts him in world title fights just based
off his family, last name, and the fact that he's
a star. You can't deny it really anymore. He sells

(01:19:21):
out twice in Tottenham Hotspur. He's a star, and sure
there needs to be a hierarchy in boxing. I get
all that, but if we're talking about the the level
of fighter Connor ben is, then Regis Progras is kind
of a good matchup, a barometer matchup, because he's coming
back down from one sixty. This will be a catchweight
fight at one fifty, not a fight at one forty seven,
So there's that little caveat but this is a good,

(01:19:43):
you know, trying to lose weight to get back into
one hundred and forty seven pounds shape fight. Just a
little bit of a letdown for what you thought would
be next for Connor, seeing as he had been around
all these big names. But it's not about this fight.
And if people are upset about this fight, you're looking
at this as a battle, not a war. And I've
told you, guys, and I'll read my tweet from earlier today,

(01:20:06):
I said, the underlying message of this whole thing is
that Tyson Fury and Connor Benn are on the same
card in a stadium show on Netflix in the UK,
and neither Frank Warren or Eddie Hearn are promoting them.
I told you war was coming to boxing and it
has arrived. It's that simple. This is the bigger game
being played. It isn't about Connor Benn versus Regis Progray

(01:20:30):
or Tyson Fury versus Macmudoff, even though I think the
Tyson Fury mcmodof fight is a interesting fight, even though
it's a tailor made style for Tyson to dance on him.
I moved off from fucking crack and we've seen if
Tyson gets lazy, gets a little crazy in there, even
the guys like Francis and Ghan who can put him
on his ass and give him a tough fight. So,
depending on what Tyson shows up, I think Connor Benn
is going to beat Regis Progray pretty easily, but I

(01:20:53):
don't know that. But regardless, look at what this is
potentially setting up. This is why I wanted to make
today's video. It isn't about this fight, even though you know,
we can just sit here and talk and talk and
talk about how it's not the matchup, but it does.
It's not a world championship. Why would they do this right,
We've talked about the fifteen million dollars reportedly fifteen million
dollar offer from ZUFA and Sella Ring Magazine. It's now

(01:21:15):
been confirmed that Turkey Ala Shake and you know the
people over at Sella are paying that fifteen million, and
it's not coming from ZUFA directly, which is what I
expected to be the case when Turkey and Sella and
everybody put their eggs in the basket of ZUFA Boxing,
is that they were going to create Canelo Crawford style
matchups for these bigger, I won't say one off, but bigger,

(01:21:36):
very periodic, maybe four times a year style events, and
ZUFA Boxing in its own lane would maintain and build
their you know, promotion league, whatever you want to call it,
and then funnel the biggest names to come out of
that into these massive ring cards on Netflix. Because what
you've now have is Turkey and Dana starting to squeeze

(01:21:58):
Eddie and Frank and building a rivalry. And again it's
it's it's an interesting thing to do it in their
own backyard, like they're putting everything out on the table,
ain't it. Goes and steals Connor Binn and then puts
him on a show in the stadium that Eddie just
put him on. Tyson Fury signs this this one. I
assume this this one fight deal, whatever it is with
the ring, Frank's not involved in his promotion in this

(01:22:20):
specific case. I think Tyson has said he's not leaving Frank,
and we'll see how true that is. But but you're
not seeing the same love that was felt in boxing
last year. It's starting to they're starting to split off.
And again, think about the implications of this card. Let's
say Tyson wins and Connor wins. Do we expect them
to then what Connor's gonna go back to Mattroom and

(01:22:41):
do what over there? Eddie's gonna just happily accept Connor
back after the betrayal, and what They're gonna set up
these massive fights and pay Connor the same amount that
he's allegedly being paid. We may not know the actual
truth of that payment. I'll get to that in a second,
but this to me feels like a warm up fight
for something else down the line, with the same promotion. Again,

(01:23:02):
if they were able to pull in Connor for fifteen million,
what's a guy like Ryan Garcia worth to ZUFA Boxing.
What's a guy like Chaquor Stevenson worth. What's a guy
like Tiafimo Lopez worth? Devin Haney. We can go on
and on, and all of these people are are potential
matchups for Connor Ben. How about Tyson Fury? Now, I
know that he said he'll never leave Frank Warren, and
he may be completely honest with that, And Frank's gonna

(01:23:25):
fight like hell apparently in this suit, and we'll see
how that goes. But and and also Frank's got a
nasty roster of fighters in his own right, and Queensbury
and Matchroo may team up and do something of their
own right, like kind of like the five v.

Speaker 6 (01:23:37):
Five.

Speaker 1 (01:23:38):
But again, you go where the money goes, and no
one can match the pockets of Turkey Alas Shaik. It's
just the truth. But who else is out there floating
around that isn't under a promotional banner right now? It's
Alexander Usik. You're telling me that if Tyson Fury gets
through Macmoudoff and Alexander Usik is sitting there. I'm not
saying this is the fight I necessarily want, But you're
telling me that Turky Alas Shake and Dana White wouldn't

(01:23:59):
look at option and say, why don't we do one
more Netflix show with Tyson Fury and Alexander Usik in
the main event, and maybe Connor Benn and Devin Haney
and the Comaine, or maybe we do two separate events
where Connor Ben and Kor Stevenson and are in the
main event of their own card on Netflix or maybe
on Paramount Plus. I don't know. My point is this

(01:24:22):
Connor Ben fifteen million dollar one fight deal thing, I
think is a little bit misleading. I think he's going
to stick around for more. I think he's gonna stick
around because you don't sign Connor Ben fifteen million dollars
to fight Regis Prograe. You just don't, right, And you
definitely don't just sign him to say Eddie week and
sign him. You sign him to have this sort of

(01:24:45):
tune up fight. And again, I'm not even trying to
be disrespectful of Regis program. I just it just is
what it is. He's thirty seven years old. I don't
think it's gonna be competitive to build into something else,
and I think that's something else is coming up after
this card. We're gonna this is going down on April eleventh,
and we're talking about the main event there as well.
You're packaging them together because they're both massive names in
the UK. But because they all but also because they

(01:25:07):
both could have even bigger fights off the back of
these quote unquote tune ups. That's what I think. And
I think people looking at this as just Connor beIN,
you know, fleeced Turkey of data to fight Regis Prograe.
I don't see it that way. Maybe that's the case,
and he'll go back to batchroom and they'll all have
a point and laugh. But what I think is going
to happen here is if Connor ben is able to

(01:25:27):
get through Regis Progray, so I think you will. You're
going to see an even bigger fight off the back
of this, on either another Netflix card or something else
with Connor bin In a massive name that is yet
to be signed to ZUFA, and I don't know who
it'll be, but there's a lot of names out there
that it could be. And on the other hand, I
think Tyson Fury should get through Macmoudov. You can do
one of two things. You can do Tyson Fury Alexander

(01:25:50):
Ussig the trilogy, or you can if you're Turkey and
you still want to see Fury versus AJ, you can
then fund a Queensberry versus match thing, because I don't
think AJ's ever leaving match Room, and that may be
something you do in the back half of the year,
but I would I would almost be willing to bet
money they want to do Tyson versus Usik ZUFA Boxing

(01:26:11):
promoted on Netflix, presented by The Ring middle to late
third quarter early fourth quarter of this year. I could
seeing kind of how the wheels are turning here, That's
what I could see happening. But so, yeah, this is
not you know this Connor ben Reagis program announcement. I
did not expect this. But at the same time, it
also means that Regis program is now signed with the
ZUFA Boxing. They put out a list of fighters that

(01:26:33):
had signed over there the other day. They had some
pretty good signings. I saw Shane Mosley Junior had signed,
really good fighter. I think he's super talented. I had
seen a little Hackett had signed. That's a pretty decent
fighter here in America. But they're still fishing for big
names and they went out and got one with Connor
Benn Who's going to be the next Domino to fall
in line. Well, something interesting that has happened, as this

(01:26:54):
is all you know coming out obviously, like I said,
the battle between Frank Warren and turikialis shit. The one
billion dollar complaint. We'll see how that goes. But you're
starting to set up teams and doing this card in
the UK. The UK boxing fans. We'll see how they react,
because I know they're very loyal. I don't know if
they'll full on like boycott an event or anything like that.

(01:27:15):
But to me, the ticket sales, obviously they're important. You
want to make money on a Tyson Fury card, you
want to make money on a Connor Ben card. We'll
see how the tickets do. But it's more so the
fact that they've got every single outlet under the control,
it seems, or the relationship of Sela and zoofa boxing
Netflix paramount, plus those are massive distributors here in the

(01:27:38):
United States and internationally with Netflix that I don't know
if Eddie Hearn and Frank Warner getting unless they do
a AJ and Tyson Fury fight. And the other thing
is they can't match the funds. As much as we
want to see the best fight the best, the way
this thing is going, it's gonna be a matter of
pocket watching. Who is going to shell out the most

(01:27:59):
money and can you keep up with it? If everything
goes according to plan Ellison Pro Wrestling Reference here, there
was a time when money was flowing in the WWE
and WCW back and forth from Ted Turner and Vince
McMahon and Ted Turner had more money and he was
paying a lot of it, and after a long time
it didn't go Ted Turner's way. But that is where

(01:28:20):
Dana White comes in. Dana White has to treat the
money he is getting and Zufa is getting from Selah
from Turkeyella, shake with care, and he has to book
things correctly. He has to put together a product that
boxing fans want to see. And as of right now,
again infancy stage, we'll see how it goes. We got
the Canrollo and Crawford fight that was a big time success.

(01:28:42):
Can they replicate that? Can they build stars from within
to take on the already established names and the other
side of boxing. But Eddie Hearn has sat down with
Marcos over at Fight Hub today and I'm not just
gonna rip the whole man's interview, but there are some
interesting points of this where Eddie talks about what's going
on with Connor Ben and how the fifteen million dollar

(01:29:02):
offer may not be what it seems. Here's a little
snippet from the fight Hub pod today.

Speaker 11 (01:29:07):
Eddie.

Speaker 5 (01:29:07):
You know today they announced you know, Connor's fight against
Regi's progress. I'm sure you've been asked about this, but
just wanted to get.

Speaker 6 (01:29:14):
Your reaction to him being put in that type of
fight given the payday he's being given.

Speaker 3 (01:29:20):
Yeah, I mean, you know, obviously got to see if
that's the payday and I can't say too much because
there's a bit of a legal process regarding that.

Speaker 4 (01:29:27):
But how's the fights.

Speaker 3 (01:29:31):
Well, obviously, you know, when you get an opportunity to match,
you have to make sure that was actually what you
were asked to match.

Speaker 4 (01:29:39):
So you know, we shall see. It's going to be
interesting to say.

Speaker 1 (01:29:42):
To leave Eddie. You know now that sounds super odd
right now. Eddie is obviously, you know, choosing his words
carefully there to to not put himself in some kind
of legal misstep. But he's essentially saying, when we had
the opportunity to match the one fight fifteen million dollars
deal from ZUFA and or Sella, then we have to

(01:30:04):
be able to look at the details to see if
that was the true offer. And I guess what he's
trying to say, and what he's trying to get at
is maybe there were more fights on that deal than
just one. Maybe the amount that Connor ben is getting
isn't what's being reported. So could it be like a
two fight fifteen million dollar deal, Could it be a
three fight, Could it be a ten million dollar deal

(01:30:25):
versus a fifteen million, or could there be incentives involved?
Or what is actually I think what he's alluding to
is the fact that Connor may have more fights on
this deal than previously talked about, or that's been said
on the record by the guy over at TKO. I
can't remember his name, something Shapiro. Could it be more
than one fight? Could it be a fight and an option? Right,

(01:30:45):
because at least in the way of the UFC contracts
are concerned, I know that if a fighter has a
six fight deal but he wins a championship before that
deal is up, he is I think it's it's in
some way they've restructured deals where you cannot in your
contract on your last like defending the championship. Because of

(01:31:06):
what happened with Francis and Ghanu and some others they
have like put in a clause to where if you're
a champion, at the end of your fight contract you
are you have to to fight one more fight and
renegotiate whilst that goes on, so that the UFC can
either take the belt off of you and not let
you relinquish the belt and leave the division, or that

(01:31:26):
they can restructure your deal as a champion. XYZ, I
think that's how it goes. Don't quote me on it,
but I wonder if this is one of those situations
where it's like if Connor wins, he gets another fight,
or he has a mandated another fight on ZUFA. If
he loses, then okay, experiment over or something. I don't know.
I'm not sure, but he's wording there is very interesting.

(01:31:47):
He also went on to talk about, you know, the
fight itself. Let's hear that.

Speaker 11 (01:31:52):
I think.

Speaker 3 (01:31:55):
Not the type of fight that I would have put
Connor in because I was looking him for the big
fights and I want him to become a world champion,
and we had two fights there for him or three
fights that would have given him the opportunity to be
world champion, but he wasn't really interested in those because
he just wanted the most amount of money and I
get that, but you know I don't. You can't knock
someone for that. The Regis fight's an interesting one.

Speaker 1 (01:32:20):
I wonder who he thought those three fights were gonna
be for world titles. I mean, you have you have
Lewis Crocker, who's the IBF world title holder, who also
is promoted by Eddie hearn. That was probably a fight
that he went to Connor with and like, listen, I
don't want to be the guy that I said this
about Mario Barrios, but Lewis Crocker is right in the
same kind of lane for me. As far as championship

(01:32:42):
fighters who maybe aren't championship level, Lewis Crocker might be
the most gettable champion currently in boxing. Again, not even
trying to be a jerk, I'm just saying now that
Mario Barrios is no longer champion, and the other one
could have been Roly Romero maybe I'm not sure who
the third one would have been, maybe a Devin Hayes
any thing, because Eddie has got a good relationship with
Bill Haney. But I'd assume those were the three names

(01:33:05):
that Eddie had proposed to Connor, and I think the
Devin Haney fight would still be a big fight. The
Roll Romero fight could be potentially, but obviously if Connor
Ben was more interested in what he had said Miguel
Coto told him, which is you know your legacy, the belts,
they don't mean anything. It's what you do for your
kids and setting your family up. If it was fifteen
million dollars, whatever the number is, then yeah, of course

(01:33:28):
he's taken that money for a much easier fight. To
be fair, in Regi's progray.

Speaker 3 (01:33:34):
But nice running, you know, I mean with respect to Regis.
He's see from the Jojo Diaz fights, come in to
the back end of his grip. But it's still a
good fighter. But Connor will be much too young and
fresh for him. So yeah, I guess it's a treading
walk to fight for what's next?

Speaker 1 (01:33:50):
Yeah did you hear that? A treading water fight for
what's next? Now? Eddie is is he's pulling his punches here.
He's not giving away the game. But that's twice now
that he's without saying that there's potentially more to this
one fight deal than we are being let know, because
this is treading water fight for what's next. There wouldn't
be a what's next. Concretely, if Connor was under a

(01:34:12):
one fight deal, right, he wouldn't say that so matter
of factly if he truly thought that he could get
Connor back after one fight and set up whatever else
he wanted between the lines. I think Eddy Hearn knows
this is not a one fight deal. I don't know.
I'm just this is me speculating. I know nothing at all,
but that would seem to me to sound like behind
the scenes, more things are going on with this this

(01:34:35):
fight deal. To just and again, it just makes no sense,
right what you signed Connor for fifteen million dollars and
it's just to fight Regis program. That doesn't sit with
me as like a business decision that makes sense for
Sella or Zufa. That seems like a bank robbery for
Connor Ben And I think Dana Answerk Kalashak are way
too smart to have put themselves in that kind of position.

Speaker 3 (01:34:55):
Yeah, I mean, you know, obviously got to see if
that's the payday. And I can't say too much because
there's a bit of a legal process regarding that, But
how the fight was beft to make sure that was
actually what you were interested to say the least, but
I would I would have welcomed the move with open
arms if there was no opportunity to get close to that.

(01:35:16):
We actually matched one element of the deal, so we
weren't far off at all. But they used the other
element of the deal, the one fight option to snoop rous.
And now again that's where we'll see what happens. But yeah,
I mean, you know, obviously, and.

Speaker 1 (01:35:30):
Again you hear Eddie they're talking about the one fight
option deal to get Connor away from Eddie Hearn. So
it seems like Eddie was able to match the number.
Whatever the number was, Eddie was able to match with
matchroom bars. So if it was fifteen million, Eddie was like, okay,
we'll give you fifteen million over two fights, and Connor

(01:35:50):
said no because it was a one fight deal. What
I guess Eddie is saying, And again I go back
to this, Eddie doesn't believe that Connor got fifteen million
for wi one fight. That's what it has to mean
when he's talking about there's legal process and we're gonna see,
we're gonna see either he thinks Connor's lying to him
or Connor's lawyers or Connor's team is lying to him

(01:36:10):
because I assume they didn't get the deal straight from
ZUFA to match. They got it from Connor's team, and
he thinks either they're lying to him about what the
deal actually is and he needs to find out to
see if he was treated fairly, or you know, however,
I don't know the back end of this deal, but
all it seems like to me is that Eddie thinks
Connor's on a more than one fight deal with ZUFA

(01:36:32):
and it's fifteen for this first fight, with the option
of a second for add on money. I don't know,
that's just me conspiracy theory, Wade, but I'm reading between
the lines, and Eddie thinks that, you know, everything's not
on the up and up there. But all I know
is that with the moves being made, it is all
out war in boxing, and right now the momentum is

(01:36:54):
with Zuofa Boxing. They ain't a White and turkeylla shit.
They caught Eddie with his pay down, took Connor ben,
they got Tyson Fury. Apparently Frank Warren has his words
about this and is saying, you know, it may not
have been allowed to do that. We'll see how that
plays out. But if you don't believe, and I'm even
kind of surprised at how quickly this is happening. They've

(01:37:16):
had four events, three of which have been on Paramount
Plus and then obviously the Canelo and Crawford that Dana
co promoted. But this thing's moving and it's moving fast.
And if you're looking at this this Tyson Fury Connor
Ben card, as of right now, it doesn't look like
the strongest matchups right for Tyson or Connor, but it's
starting to build into a very strong card. Already two

(01:37:37):
of the most notable names in UK boxing on the card.
Who else will be on it? And what does this
card do to set up the big one? That's what
everybody that's talking about this is missing. This is a
set up card. This is a card to knock off
the rust, knock off the dust and build to something bigger.
For Tyson Fury. I think it's probably gonna be a trilogy,

(01:38:00):
thelex under Usik. For Connor Ben, I think it's more
than just a one fight deal. I can't prove that.
I don't even know anything other than what I'm reading
between the lines from what Eddie Hern is saying, but
I think they have big plans for him and I
don't see him leaving ZUFA Boxing anytime soon. That's my
take on it. You guys let me know. And as
far as the fight itself is concerned, I think Connor
Ben will probably outbox Regis. He may not stop him.

(01:38:22):
He may stop him, but I think he'll either outbox
Regis or stop him in the mid to late rounds.
I think Connor is just like Eddie said, too young,
too explosive, too much in the tank, and Regis does
not have much left. But again, that's just business to
get done for the bigger picture down the road. Boxing
is changing, folks, and it's about to get a lot weirder.

(01:38:44):
What happens next. I don't have those answers, but I
guess we'll find out. All right, So we are back
because folks, I have some breaking news. That is right,
breaking news here at the way concept presented it by
the Ring as Alexander Usik is making his way back

(01:39:05):
to the Ring to collide where legends were built. On
May twenty third, under the shadows of the Ancient Giants,
Alexandr Usik takes on Rico Verehoven at the iconic Pyramids
of Giza. They're calling it Glory in Giza on the
zone presented by the Ring. I did not expect this.
I'd heard rumblings of Rico vere Hooven, you know, coming

(01:39:27):
over into boxing, potentially going over to MMA as well.
It's a fun fight. It is not what you expect
from the sitting heavyweight champion, but it's much like Tyson
Fury and Francis and Ganu from like three years ago,
four years ago. Now it's a one off entertainment show
that was called a circus at a time where we
had never seen much of that stuff in the actual

(01:39:48):
you know, like the sitting heavyweight champion of the world
doing a crossover fight that has become the norm in boxing.
So I'm not so mad at the fight. In fact,
I think the fight is going to be a fun one.
I think Usik's probably gonna wash Rico, but hey, you
never know. Oh Francis walked in there, knocked down Tyson,
jiggled his balls in his face and ended up almost
beating him. So yeah, I'll watch this. It's an entertainment fight,

(01:40:09):
it's a crossover fight. And while I think that Alexander
Usik has bigger fish to fry in the heavyweight division.
When Kaveel is a mandatory I thought for Alexander Usik,
there is for other sanctioning bodies like the WBO. You
have Fabio Wardley and Daniel Dubois. You have that fight
about to happen, so the winner of that is going to,

(01:40:30):
I thought, fight Usik. And then you have Tyson Fury
waiting in the wings. There's Moses Atalma waiting in the wings.
There's a lot of odd stuff happening here with the
sanctioning bodies. And I'm gonna tell you this now, this
is what leaves a sour taste in my mouth about
this fight. The sanctioning bodies are going to and they

(01:40:50):
already are digging their own graves with stuff like this.
They are they are digging their own graves because the
more they do stuff like this. Freako ver Hooven no reason,
no business. He should be fighting for a heavyweight championship
in boxing, Yes, in kickboxing, very different him coming over
and fighting for this and essentially his second boxing match,

(01:41:15):
Rico fought a guy named Johnos Finfera and knocked him
out cold. I mean, like I said, it's a crossover
fight if you want to say, like, look at what
all Usik has done for the heavyweight division. He fought
the best of the best. He ran laps around the division,
so he deserves a fun fight. That's fine. I don't
really have any problem with that. I didn't have a
problem with watching Tyson Fury and frances and Ganhuo. I said,

(01:41:37):
you know what, I'm excited for the fight. I'll watch
the fight. I'm excited for this fight. I'll watch the fight.
The fact that it's in Giza, that's kind of crazy.
I don't even know how that'll work out. I know,
the last destination fight the ring did was in Times
Square didn't really have the same kind of atmosphere as
you thought it would, so who knows. I mean, it'll
be cool to have a fight in Giza. They would

(01:41:58):
be drinking shit tons of water because they are going
to sweat like whores in church. Dam man, I don't
really know what to say. This is crazy, this is wild.
This is kind of where we're at though, in boxing,
I must say. And for those that aren't familiar with
Rico Verhooven, let's just play some of the highlights here
of his time in glory in kickboxing. Head kick Son,
have a seat, Bigfoot Silva. I'm not. I'm surprised how

(01:42:21):
kickboxing isn't a more inert like more fan favorite sports.
People love kickboxing, and MMA seems like just may it's
the gloves. Oh my god, wheel kick, right hand left hook.
He's beating the ship out of big Foot. That is
not the Anderson Silva I thought of when I see
Rico furs Anders and Silva. That's Anderson spelled with the

(01:42:43):
uns with his kids.

Speaker 5 (01:42:45):
He's going to love.

Speaker 11 (01:42:46):
He's going alone.

Speaker 9 (01:42:47):
And then he mixes in the high kicks.

Speaker 1 (01:42:49):
Oh, the low kick, and that's it. Oh headkick son,
Oh my god, he has beaten these ship. Oh my lord, reft,
step Rev, you gotta step in. This is insane. Right
hand left hook. Oh my lord, that uppercut just sent

(01:43:12):
his entire jaw flying. He's out on his feet. Step in,
ref Holy cow Jesus, that was a battering. Oh my god,
like what son boom boom spit going flying uppercut from hell,

(01:43:37):
Oh God, Oh my goodness. As you can see, Rico
is a bad mother. Shut your mouth right. He just is,
but a lot of what you're seeing there from Rico
is initiated with his kicks, with his knees there. You know,

(01:43:59):
his hands work just fine. Don't get it mistaken. He
would knock out a lot of boxers. But the heavyweight
champion of the world in Alexander Usik, I don't know.
I don't think this is gonna be very competitive. Maybe
it will be. I said the same thing about Tyson
Fury and Francis and Gano and frances and gan who
came in and showed up Tyson Fury in his own backyard,

(01:44:20):
And we haven't seen someone from the sport of kickboxing,
exclusively kickboxing come over and try their hand in boxing.
After watching Tyson and Francis, it might be the right
option to strip Usik. People aren't gonna like that because
he's done a lot for the heavyweight division. He's one
of the greatest of all time. But you sit out
as long as he has sat out, and then your

(01:44:41):
first fight back is against Rico Verhouven. When you have
Kabel sitting there, I don't know if he should be
walking around with the belt, and it definitely shouldn't be
for the belt. So Mauricio Suliman continues to self indict
on the charges of completely being corrupt, it seems with
his belt. And this is why I've said the four
sanctioning bodies are going to die. They are going to

(01:45:03):
die because they can't get out of their own way
and do what's best for the sport. I have no
problem with the fight. I'm excited to see if if
Rico can actually do something with Usik. Would I have
rather seen Usik and Gabiel, Yeah? Would I have rather
have seen Usik and Moses to Talma, Yeah? I think
that this is this if he wanted to do a
crossover fight. I mean, Usik's talked about doing MMA. What

(01:45:25):
else has he got to prove of the heavyweight division?
Maybe nothing? But they should have done this for no
belt and just done the fight again. Just this should
have been exactly what Tyson Fury and Frances and Ganho was.
If you're gonna do that fight, this is how you
do this, one point blank period. Don't hate it, definitely
gonna watch it, but it shouldn't have been for a belt.

(01:45:47):
The other interesting part of this is that it's in Giza, dude,
so like, are they gonna I don't know where they're
gonna put a boxing ring, but it's gonna be somewhere here,
which is insane to think that there's gonna be a
boxing ring in the middle of all this. And I
don't know about you guys, but I've heard the theories
about the Pyramids of Giza actually being like a big

(01:46:08):
towers that go underneath the ground and potentially like regulate
things in the earth or something. I don't know. That's
conspiracy theory, Wade. But they're gonna do this in this
location that's gonna be The scenes of it are gonna
be insane. You have to admit, it's gonna look fucking
cool for a fight to go down at the Pyramids,

(01:46:28):
the cameras involved, all of that. You can't you can't
hate the visual aesthetic of it. It's just the matter of, like,
I don't know, how do you do it? How do
you do it? Make it look good and give it
that you know, once in a lifetime feel, because that's
what they want to do, right, That is what the
Ring magazine wants to do. They want to have this

(01:46:50):
feel like a once in a lifetime glory and Giza, right,
they want it to feel like a once in a
lifetime opportunity. Maybe you put the ring like you got
to do it where the shadow doesn't cast over the
ring when the sun goes down, or you gotta have
lights involved. So maybe over here somewhere, maybe there's like
an ele raised platform on one of the peaks. I
don't know, but regardless, it will be a cool visual

(01:47:14):
to see fights in the pyramids. They're definitely gonna do
something like this where they have a face off with
the pyramids in the background, something like this. It's crazy,
and I think this is all a part of the
Ring Magazine's partnership with Saudi Foxing Federation with the Egyptian
Boxing Federation, so that's I think part of the reason
why this is happening where it's happening. But then again,

(01:47:36):
who has ever thought of putting a boxing event around
the pyramids at Giza? Kind of crazy? So yeah, those
are my thoughts. I don't hate the fight. I think
the fight's actually gonna be a fun one. I don't
think Rico stands much of a chance because he can't
use his feet and or knees, and Usik is a
master in this sport and Rico is a rookie in

(01:47:58):
this sport. In terms of just the Marcus of Queensberry,
just the hands. And I don't think that Usik will
take the fight as lightly as Tyson Fury took, Francis
and Ganu show up massively overweight, because you already have
the example of what happens if you take one of
these guys lightly, you embarrass the sport. So I think
Usik will come in in shape, ready to go, and

(01:48:19):
he will do what he's supposed to do, which is
showcase the sweet science. Make sure that rico vert Houven
knows that keg boxing is his sport and boxing is
usis but fun matchup, fun fight. My only complaint is
with the WBC sanctioning this, and quite frankly, I don't know.

(01:48:40):
I just think maybe the belt shouldn't even be on
Usick if these are the type of fights he's going
to take. Not that we would think he's a you know,
not the best on the planet, but that belt is
supposed to represent best fighting, the best, right a ranking system.

Speaker 9 (01:48:55):
A.

Speaker 1 (01:48:57):
You know, defender vacate mentality because you represent the best
boxer on earth. If Usik wants to do this, which
apparently he was, this was part of his request, then
if that's fine, But It shouldn't be for a belt.
It should be like if you want to do a
pro fight, do a pro fight, but it should be
a crossover fight, one that either the belt stays like

(01:49:22):
they don't fight for the belt or hevacates it. Either way,
I'll be watching. It's May twenty third, live onto his own.
They're calling it Glory in Giza. I can't wait to
see the undercard for it. Who is gonna? I feel
like for these destination fights, every fighter wants to get
on them because it's once in a lifetime opportunity to
do something crazy, and so I'm excited to see the undercard.

(01:49:42):
I'm excited for the fight. Rico's a bad motherfucker. Are
you guys pumped for the Glory in Giza? Between the
returning Alexander Usik to defend his WBC world title against
Rico Verhouven and his second boxing match ever, who wins
and why? I think Usik because he's far better, But
I don't have those answers, so I guess we'll find out,

(01:50:04):
all right. So we are back on the way concept
presented it by the ring and today, folks, there's a
couple of debates that I want to settle or at
least I want to engage in and hopefully settle the
first one. It's not really a debate, it's more so challenge.
Elliot Saporia was on Aiden Ross's stream tonight and laid
down the gauntlet for a couple of people. Number one,
he said Jake Paul was a shitty boxer, and then

(01:50:27):
Jake called him up live on FaceTime and challenged him
to a spar Apparently they both agreed to do it.
We've seen this in the past with the Sean Stricklands
and the Patty Pemblets. But this is the typical kind
of thing where MA fighters called Jacob bad boxer and
Jake challenges them to box, even challenged them to an
MMA fight. We'll get into it, but this entire MMA

(01:50:47):
fighter versus boxer whose better thing is starting to annoy
me because it's very simple. It's a very simple answer,
and it's usually decided on two different planes. A boxer
will always defeat an MMA fighter, or mostly always defeat
an MMA fighter in a boxing ring, and an MMA
fighter will almost always defeat a boxer and an MMA cage, ring, structure, octagon,

(01:51:13):
et cetera. These are apparently super difficult ideas to grasp
for the general public. So I'll explain why. Because Ilia
also called out Terrence Crawford and Schaquorr Stevenson for their
comments over really the last year, between Chaquor saying that
Bud Crawford would beat Iliot Taboria up in an MMA fight.
He did say that and choke him out to both

(01:51:35):
of them on Aiden Ross's stream last week, saying that
they would both cook Ilia in a boxing match or
a fight. So we have to clarify all these things.
Is Jake gonna box Ilia? Are they gonna have a spark?
Can Jake even do that with his second JOS surgery
in as many months? And what would happen in a
street fight between all of these individuals, and really just

(01:51:56):
the general consensus around MMA and boxing who wins in
an actual fight. I'm gonna cover all of it the breakdown.
Let's go all right, So, first off, we had this
interaction between Ilia and Aiden Ross. Aiden every time he
brings an MMA fighter on his stream, he tends to

(01:52:17):
like big up Jake and then ask him if they'll
fight Jake or in some way insert Jake into the conversation.
Does it with boxers as well, because he has an
actual painting of Jake Paul on his warehouse wall where
they I don't know if they still do, but they
used to do the brand Risk boxing cards. It's like Jake, Ryan,
Garcia Floyd. I don't even know if if I think
Mike Tyson is maybe up there. I saw it when

(01:52:38):
I was there in person, but it is kind of
wild Jake's painting all over it. But obviously they're good friends,
and so as rage bait, he always throws Jake's name
out there. This is how the conversation started with Ilia
and Jake.

Speaker 11 (01:52:51):
What do you think about Jake Paul? By the way?
I like the way he represents himself as a boxer.
I think he sucks. He's a very bad boxer, but
I love like being that bad. How he does it
and how he promotes himself is very I don't know.

Speaker 8 (01:53:07):
You think he's a bad box You don't think he's
a good boxer at all now? And why don't you
think he's a good boxer.

Speaker 11 (01:53:12):
Because he's not a good boxer. He doesn't have the
skills to be a good boxer.

Speaker 10 (01:53:16):
But anyways, he's doing a great job because he sells
more than most people pop what great.

Speaker 1 (01:53:23):
Fighters sells more than ilia. I mean for being honest,
So listen, I don't necessarily disagree with what Illy is saying.
There he is when he says Jake is a bad boxer.
He is speaking in the context of good boxers, right,
the highest level boxers in the world, And Jake is
not of the highest level of boxers in the world.
He's better than your average boxer, meaning guys that are

(01:53:45):
journeymen and potentially guys that are just kind of middle
of the road. But I would say he's an above
average boxer or a guy that started late and accomplished
what he's accomplished. Again, not necessarily on who he's beat,
but he has had massive wins and some difficult cult tests,
and you know, he showed himself I think very well
for the time he's been in the sport. Now, I
don't think that Jake is an awful boxer terrible, but

(01:54:07):
I think what Illy's trying to say is compared to
a great boxer, Jake is not that he is a
bad boxer compared to the greatest or the greats of
this sport. Okay, yeah, true. Now, with that being said,
Jake obviously didn't like that, and so Ross called up Jake,
and this is how the conversation went.

Speaker 11 (01:54:26):
A bad boxer, then we should spar.

Speaker 17 (01:54:29):
Yeah, but whenever you want, bro all the ye you're
Javis okay already.

Speaker 1 (01:54:35):
Yeah, no, it'll mean jealous, okay already. So immediately Jake's like, listen,
if you think I'm a bad boxer, then let's spar,
which is an appropriate response being that Ili is the
one that called him a bad boxer. See, the thing
that Jake does really well is that he and Aiden
instigated this whole thing. But he doesn't go first, right,
He doesn't attack first, He just responds. And when that happens,

(01:54:59):
unless he's like asked a question about it, when that happens,
he gets to set the narrative. Will you called me out?
Even though Ilia you don't box and you're one hundred
and fifty five pounder, you said I'm a bad boxer,
So why don't you come and try it and see
how bad of a boxer I am? So immediately he's
asking for the spar. He did this with Sean Strickland.
I think with the Sean Strickland thing, he said he
wanted to do that because Strickland was bullying sneak O,

(01:55:20):
which fair, and then Patty the bad he said something
pipe double and was like, yeah, I'm gonna take Jake
out too, and Jake was like, all right, we'll comespar
and it never happened. They said the UFC wouldn't allow them,
you know whatever. But it's a smart play from Jake.
I will say him and Ilia in a spar would
be interesting. Well, we'll talk about that in a second.

Speaker 11 (01:55:39):
Good, it'll be good.

Speaker 17 (01:55:40):
We are talking about the greatest and we are talking
about really boxers. I never would put you in in
that list, but I respect the fact that you started.

Speaker 11 (01:55:51):
I mean, you're not you're not starting in charge of
the list. That's why in the charge of the list.
But I had my personal opinion.

Speaker 1 (01:55:59):
So brings up that he's ranked in the top fifteen
at cruiserweight after five years of fighting. And what's hilarious
about Jake saying that is like, oh, you're not in
charge of the list. Well, the sanctioning bodies, most notably
as of recently, being called out for being some of
the most biased and corrupt organizations and boxing. Yes, they
control who's ranked in the sport, but their lists are

(01:56:22):
not actually reflective of the fifteen best boxers in the world. Really,
Jake is ranked in the top fifteen because the WBA
who ranked him in, Gilberto Mendoza, unt Jake to appear
to I guess, in some point fight for their belt.
I mean, Gilberto Mendoza was the guy that was tweeting
that he would like to see Jake Paul versus Julio
Seser Chavez Junior for a world title fight. If you

(01:56:46):
don't believe me, here's the tweet from November sixteen, twenty
twenty four. This is WI Your organization is a joke.
So yeah, that doesn't seem at all corrupt. Now again,
it is what it is. We know this about the
same bodies, but Jake using the fact that he's ranked
as a top fifteen and by the way, I don't
think he's ranked anymore. I think they dropped him out
of the rankings after the Anthony Joshua loss. Regardless, Jake

(01:57:09):
is no business being ranked in the top fifteen in
the world after having two three wins at cruiserweight and
only one of them really ever being a cruiserweight, and
actually that wasn't the case, and the last cruiserweight. He
fought was Juliosser Chabez Junior, who was a super middleweight
that as he aged out of that and you know,
got bigger and fatter after retiring and coming back and

(01:57:29):
retiring and coming back, fought Jake at cruiserweight. So Jake
hasn't fought a cruiserweight near the top fifteen. He hasn't
fought anyone near the ranking. The last time he fought
a guy that had an actual ranking in the top
fifty was Tommy Fury and he lost. So that whole
idea of like, well, you don't get to make the rankings.
The people that make the rankings said I was after
five years. It's a generalized way of Jake being a

(01:57:51):
massive draw to get himself into the rankings. But what
Ilios says still stands. Jake is not one of the
greats in boxing. He is a one of the big
names in boxing. He is one of the massive sellers
in boxing, no doubt about it. But he's not a
great boxer.

Speaker 17 (01:58:06):
And I'm saying that as a boxer, you suck whenever
you want to see whenever you get your job, like heild,
let's do it, but just get ready because you're you're
gonna need.

Speaker 11 (01:58:20):
A jaw I don't need.

Speaker 1 (01:58:24):
So Jake says, let's spar and Ilia says, yeah, heal
your job and we'll do it. And then just you know,
you'll need more time after I'm done with you to
heal it again. I don't think that. Listen, I'll say this.
I think Iliot would have a tough time with Jake
and'spar and I know that's gonna sound crazy, but you
got to think of the difference in their size. We'll see,
you know, how Jake's jaw actually has recovered. I wouldn't
recommend him doing this straight off jow surgery obviously. I mean,

(01:58:46):
Illiot hits like a mack truck, but he's, you know,
he's not a natural two hundred pound guy. I know
he can get big and he can, out of fight
shape be around one hundred and ninety pounds, but he's
still like five seven and it's just a you know, Stylistically,
it's a tough matchup because Jake's just a you know,
is a durable guy, is a bigger guy, and he
has been specifically boxing to protect himself pretty well. I
think I think Ellie would have a hard time with him.

(01:59:07):
But then again, you know, how would Jake deal with
the hand speed of a smaller guy, the footwork all that.
I don't see anybody going in there getting knocked out,
call whatever. But I think it'd be an interesting spar.
I genuinely think it would be a very fun spar
where Jake would try to manhandle him and Ilia would
have to, Uh, you have to use his feet. You
have to use his feet a little bit.

Speaker 13 (01:59:26):
John to be healed because you're not gonna touch me, bro,
You MMA fighters are all trash.

Speaker 1 (01:59:34):
So Jake says, you're not gonna touch me on the
chin because you MMA fighters are all trash and I
beat the best in your sport. There is the biggest
problem with MMA fighters coming into boxing is the fact
that they have a completely different set of offensive and
defensive skills based on their sport.

Speaker 2 (01:59:51):
Right.

Speaker 1 (01:59:51):
The reason fighters, you know, quote unquote suck at boxing
is because they have trained for years on end to
make very very small move movements with their head. Like
head movement is a great thing. Head movement, heav it's
a very in voice there. It's a great thing in
boxing because there are only two weapons. You're right in
your left hand and MMA. Moving your upper body too

(02:00:13):
much in most cases can get you kicked in the head,
can get you knead in the head, can get you elbowed.
Like there's there's too many weapons to just use head
movement in m may. In fact, it's discouraged because guys
can follow up a punch with a kick. So maybe
you slip the jab, and by proxy, if you slip
in that jab, you're running right into a kick coming

(02:00:33):
right at your freaking face. But Iliot Taporia is a
little different. He is a guy that employs a lot
of head movement in his fights, and he does get
hit a lot. Like the Max Holloway fight, he got
peppered up in the first couple of rounds, but he
ate all those punches and not in a way like
Patty Pemblet eight punches, but he did get hit and
walked through it to land his big shot. You can't
do that with a you know, bordering on heavyweight as

(02:00:56):
many times now as Jake has moved up to it.
Two hundred and ten plus pound guy that does hit
harder than a lot of the one fifty five ers
and one seventy years and all those dudes. So it
just like I said, it would be interesting. But what
Jake is saying about I beat all of the best
guys that MMA had to offer when they came over,
Let's go down that list, right, Because he said I
beat all your best guys. He beat Anderson Silva, who

(02:01:16):
at the time, yes was forty seven. I think maybe
forty eight to be fair to Jake. That was probably
a outside of Tommy Fury and obviously Anthony Joshua was
probably the toughest test right and he passed it. That
was a big time win for Jake, but it wasn't
the best version of Anderson Silva, and Anderson Silva isn't
a conventional boxer. Because Anderson Silva had already beaten Julio

(02:01:37):
Caeser Chavez Junior, it made him far more credible, but
he was still forty six, and he still wasn't a
boxing predominant fighter. He was a great kickboxer, very good
moy thai, very good stand up, no doubt about it.
Boxing was a secondary act to the rest of his striking. Again,
not taking that away from him. I'm just saying, Nate

(02:01:59):
Diez decent enough kind of slap box, unorthodox style for MMA,
very much pitter powder, wear you down. Not a lot
of power behind his shots until again he wears on you.
He is accumulation right stoppage by accumulation, and the Marcus
of Queensberry not good at all, very sloppy, unorthodox. Gets
the job done in some cases, but no Mike Perry,

(02:02:21):
love Mike, love my guy, Mike Perry. But again Marcus
and Queensberry. He'll wear clothes Mike Perry and baryonnuckle, probably
eat Jake alive. Different guy right now. Again, Jake's a
bigger dude, so I don't know what happened there, but
with the big gloves on, and how easily Mike gets hit,
and again his lack of head movement. He was just
on the center line. Jake picked him apart Mike, I
wouldn't be I wouldn't say Mike Perry is a great

(02:02:41):
representation of boxing from an MMA fighter. Tyron Woodley, same thing.
Not a great representation of pure boxing from an MMA fighter.
He had a big right hand, he could hurt you,
big time power, but not the greatest technique. Good explosion
all that, just not the greatest technique. Ben Askern, we
don't have to talk about to this day, I don't
know why I picked ben of those fighters combined. Elliot

(02:03:01):
Tooria is a better boxer, pure boxer than all point
blank period he is now again, I still think that
Jake has enough skill. He is big enough and durable
enough depending on the jaw, give Ilia some real problems
in a spar but I think out of every mm
A fighter that's ever called Jake to box, Ilia is
probably is, you know, would be a tougher matchup than

(02:03:21):
all of them because of his pure boxing ability.

Speaker 11 (02:03:24):
And I give you your hands like you're a.

Speaker 1 (02:03:27):
Little guy, your five.

Speaker 17 (02:03:31):
Probably I'm a little guy, maybe best.

Speaker 1 (02:03:36):
Okay, the roller coaster, it's crazy.

Speaker 11 (02:03:39):
I'm gonna I'm gonna listen.

Speaker 17 (02:03:44):
I'm gonna give you a combo that I'm gonna put
you in the high on the heigh of my bolts,
and you are gonna be on your fucking knees.

Speaker 1 (02:03:51):
Okay, not the greatest comeback familiar, to be fair, it's
a second language. But he's saying, I'm gonna give you
a combo that is gonna shrink you down to size.
I get it, Yeah, body shot whatever and make you
take a knee. Then you'll be at the size of
my balls. Okay, it's just you know, when it's your
second language and it takes you a little longer to
get to the point is I'm gonna give you accommodation
to put you at the height of my balls. I

(02:04:14):
love it.

Speaker 11 (02:04:14):
Hey you, thank god it happens.

Speaker 13 (02:04:18):
Once it happens, Once it happens, and we spar like
the talking.

Speaker 7 (02:04:22):
Will be over.

Speaker 13 (02:04:23):
So that's that's great. I respect you. And what the
talk you're talking about? What the fuck you're talking about? Like, listen,
we can inspire whenever you want. And we are talking
about boxing because if you really go into our men's
fight and we do a full fight, hey.

Speaker 11 (02:04:38):
Oh we can do that too. We can do that too.

Speaker 17 (02:04:41):
Don't don't talk about that. Don't talk about that when
you look look, look look at me on my face.

Speaker 1 (02:04:46):
Yeah he so Jake does this. He keeps like baiting
like he wants to do a MMA fight. And we're
gonna get into the fact that the boxing and the
MMA thing is is a silly conversation because of course
one is gonna be better in their specific sport. But
Jake acting as though he wants to come and do
this in MMA. I know Jake has a wrestling background.
I know he's a big dude. I know he has
he knows his way around the mats. It's a different

(02:05:08):
level of competing when you're talking about the not just
offensive game wrestling from Ilia, his submission game. He not
a big kicker, so I don't think Jake would have
to necessarily worry too. I mean, I think Eliot could
definitely kick better than Jake can, but the all around
he has a nice spinning back kick to the stomach.
All around game from Ilia would be far too much

(02:05:29):
for Jake, even with the added size. Jake and only stuff,
I think a few of those takedowns before I think
fatigue starts to set in. And just the high level
I mean I'm talking about Jake stuff in takedowns. Illi
is such a better or like completely astronomically different level
of grappling. I don't know if Jake could stuff any
of those takedowns and MMA. It's different than your actual
wrestling match. So as stupid as this entire conversation is,

(02:05:53):
because it probably will never happen, Ilia stands more of
a chance of hanging with Jake in boxing than Jake
stands a chance of hanging with Ilia in MMA. That's
the truth. You know it, bro, you know it, which,
by the way, is usually the truth in terms of
these crossover events. I know people will give examples like
Clarissa Shields and say, well, look, boxers have come over.

(02:06:15):
First off, Clarissa Shields fought in the B League MMA
versus women that were doing part time MMA, part time
like Boys and Girls Club on the weekends. You know
what I'm saying. Like we're talking about the highest level
of the sport, you're not doing it. James Tony came over,
got ankle picked, submitted very quickly.

Speaker 4 (02:06:32):
Cool.

Speaker 1 (02:06:32):
Yeah, he knocked out Tim Sylvia when Tim Sylvie was
three hundred and ten pounds off of retirement and barely
could move with fucking screws in his arm. All right,
no excuse it happened. But we've seen guys that have
never even boxed go into boxing now and have success.
Connor McGregor goes ten rounds with Floyd Mayweather, Francis and

(02:06:53):
Ghann who arguably beat the sitting heavyweight champion of the
world in Tyson Fury. These aren't the same comparison. This
is the highest level of boxing getting shown up by
m M A. You don't see that the other way around.
You know, see boxers come over and fight world sitting
world champions and have any success. They would never but
again and I'm I listen, I love boxing. I cover

(02:07:15):
boxing mostly on this channel. It's just the facts of
the reality. And we'll get into that in a little
more in a second.

Speaker 11 (02:07:20):
I just like bomb for me.

Speaker 17 (02:07:22):
Oh, we we can do it without streaming, without recording,
without anything between me, you, you crowd, you people, my people.

Speaker 11 (02:07:29):
We can't fight. We can fight.

Speaker 13 (02:07:32):
Everyone in your sport thinks they have hands.

Speaker 11 (02:07:34):
And I just mopped the floor.

Speaker 17 (02:07:35):
With all the other don't don't, don't, don't, don't talk
about everyone. I'm I don't put myself in that list.

Speaker 11 (02:07:41):
I don't think yes.

Speaker 1 (02:07:49):
So there's a lot of things there. Uh, this is
a chopped up version of this conversation, but there's at
one point Jake mentioned, you know, everybody talks like that
from the UFC until it's time to spar and no
one wants to do it. That's why Eliot was saying,
we can do it. We don't have to do it
with cameras on. I think Patti Pimblet had said the
UFC wouldn't allow him to do it, because if it
was on camera, it's just not a good look if
Jake is out here boxing some of their best guys

(02:08:09):
up on camera. So this is probably the reason it
will never happen, right, It'll probably never happen because Jake
being on camera, even having some success against the UFC's
lightweight Champion of the World probably not a good look. Right,
So probably not have unless they did it behind the
scenes and didn't tell anybody, and then you know, some
leaked footage came out, or if no footage ever came out,
which would be fucking awful. If you're gonna do it,

(02:08:31):
it needs to be on camera, because why else are
we doing. Number two, Jake asked him if he's a
better striker than Anderson Silva as a totality, No, Ilia
does not have the tools and the weaponry that Anderson
Silva had or still has. Really, But also again, if
we're talking about boxing as a pure boxer, Ilia is
I think a little bit better than Anderson Silva because
he focuses strictly on his boxing. Anderson is more unorthodox.

(02:08:55):
He's sometimes even harder to hit because he's got great
fast twitch movement, even in his late four forties, and
if Anderson was in his twenties, late twenties and even thirties,
like they were talking about with the Anderson Silva Roy
Jones Junior potential crossover boxing fight way back when, then, yeah,
you'd have a conversation there. But I still think Ilia
would be right on par with that level of boxing

(02:09:17):
specifically that Anderson had at that point in time, and
maybe even a little bit more specialized. But again I
could be talking. That could be Recncy biased for me,
But the weight would be the biggest issue for Ilia,
right the weight in the size. Anderson is a full
grown six foot whatever, six foot one, and in his
prime was just an other worldly be He was like

(02:09:37):
the freaking neo in the matrix. So Jake might have
him there in terms of if Anderson was in his prime,
but Jake didn't find him when he was in his prime.
He fought him twenty years later thirty.

Speaker 11 (02:09:46):
Listen, listen, I'm gonna tell you something.

Speaker 17 (02:09:49):
And the moment when you fought him, he was forty
five or forty six years old. Sometime you have to
remember something that when we fight in the UFC, we
are professional athlete. That means that we clean. We don't
use anything.

Speaker 11 (02:10:04):
To your boss, your daddy, Dana.

Speaker 1 (02:10:06):
Yeah, this was a nonsense point, familiar. I know that
a lot of the talking points around Jake is that
he's on steroids. There's never been any evidence at all
for Jake being on steroids. No failed tests, no discrepancies,
no nothing. But yeah, his beard grew and his hairline
went backward. His hair line started feeding his beard and
removing itself from his scalp. His baldness upstairs became a

(02:10:30):
briar patch of luscious beard hair. That's your evidence, then,
all right, But I've never seen Jake ever beacon and
even Aiden's chat is like, yeah, Jake's on steroids. No
evidence ever made that up.

Speaker 7 (02:10:43):
At it because he was pissed off that I kept
one beating all.

Speaker 11 (02:10:46):
Wait, wait, what what what what do you know? What
do you mean when you say you boss your dad, you.

Speaker 13 (02:10:53):
Make probably two million dollars a fight and he just
paid you.

Speaker 11 (02:10:56):
Wrong, You're wrong, wrong, You're wrong. I know, I know
you wrong. I know you you weren't on the You're wrong.
I'm telling.

Speaker 1 (02:11:07):
When Jake says, trust me, I know how much you make.
I wonder if that's like having to do with Nikisa Baderian.
Not to like put anybody's business out there, but Nikisa
at one point was the I think he was the
COO or not COO, but he maybe CFO. Maybe he's
the CFO or he had a high ranking position in
the UFC's financial department, and I wonder if he either
still has connections over there or just his time being

(02:11:29):
with the UFC, he understands how their pay structure still works.
But he probably would have a good idea because Nikisa
was around for a very long time under the Fertida
brothers and Dana White and uh yeah, I mean that.
I don't know if Jake knows exactly what Iliam makes,
but he probably has a good idea. Where were you?

Speaker 11 (02:11:48):
We missed you?

Speaker 1 (02:11:49):
You get paid as much as the NFL.

Speaker 13 (02:11:51):
Rookie, like congrats, you're wrong, you're wrong.

Speaker 1 (02:11:58):
You value is I don't know what Ilia gets paid,
but it certainly isn't what Jake got paid for that
Netflix card like Jay got. I don't know thirty forty
million dollars for that Anthony Joshua fight.

Speaker 17 (02:12:08):
Tell that you need to say to all your fans
how much you're making, because you you need to fulfill
some some some some something that you're missing in yourself.
But I don't need anyone have to say, like how
much you're making whatever I have, whatever I'm wearing. If
I'm coming down from a private Jed, I'm gonna make
whatever I'm doing. I don't need to announce it because

(02:12:31):
I know who I am.

Speaker 11 (02:12:31):
I'm not you.

Speaker 17 (02:12:33):
I don't need to say to the people and be
screaming I have this my new wife to my new car.
That's not so SI's that's that's what bro, whatever I'm.

Speaker 1 (02:12:45):
How come you're wearing a Richard Billy what. It's a
good point though from Ilia, like what Jake sells is
not highest level of competition, and that's what I think
Ilio is trying to get at. What Jake sells is
also what makes him money. So what you as a
custom from or buy from Jake Paul is extravagance. It's
big time, it's showmanship, it's entertainment. It is you know,

(02:13:08):
pageantry to a degree. And yeah, there's part of that
in big time fights, the pageantry of a championship matchup,
the once in a lifetime moment of two of the
best going at it. But Jake sells something a little
different than that, and I think everybody knows that he sells,
you know, somewhat of a circus kind of thing, especially
with the Anthony Joshua and what was supposed to be

(02:13:28):
the Gervonte Davis fight and the Mike Tyson fight. No
One going into those fights thought this is a battle
between the best, right, Like, no one thought that, Like
it was clearly can Mike at fifty eight still box
or how is this you know, crazy size matchup between
Jake and Dravonte gonna go? Or can Anthony Joshua finally
squash Jake Paul and get him out of here? Because yeah,

(02:13:50):
Ilia fights for the title and the best in the world.
That's what they sell. Who is the best fighter on
the planet. It isn't about how much money Ilia has
or how much you know he's gonna make to make fights,
even though again the game is prize fighting. That's that's
what I think. Most fighters are doing this for, yes,
legacy championships, but at the end of the day, they

(02:14:10):
want to get paid. So both guys are right. But
what Ili is saying, it's kind of a soul read.
He's like, listen, you have to sell that you're the money. Guy,
you have to sell that you make money. I sell
whip an ass at the highest level. That's what I sell.
That's who I am. It didn't have to be exhibitions
and all this other stuff. It is. I'm the best
in the world. Come trying me.

Speaker 11 (02:14:31):
That's fire saying an online. I would tell you, like
face to face, it's gonna be funny when people see
what happens. I would love to fight you.

Speaker 17 (02:14:39):
I swear, let's fight like, let's do it, Let's spar
whatever like I spar every week.

Speaker 11 (02:14:45):
I don't have no fucking problem. I'd do it with
a pleasure.

Speaker 1 (02:14:52):
With a vleisa. So I'm gonna say the percentage chance
of this actually happening is, man, I could see it happening.
If it was not on camera, there's no chance they
get it on camera, no chance. And if it is
on camera, it's leaked and someone's getting in trouble for it.
So I would say five percent, maybe maybe ten. But

(02:15:12):
I'm looking at like, Okay, Jake has got a second
jow surgery, when's he gonna get back in after that?
I know he's crazy enough to do it even after that.
I know Jake, I know he would do some shit
like that if it was gonna be on camera, which
I think he would stipulate it would need to be,
which is probably why it wouldn't. So I'm gonna say
that five percent not a fucking chance. But again, set

(02:15:35):
it up and make sure there's a camera rolling. I
am definitely down to see that. That would be very interesting.
Now let's move on to to this idea, and we
kind of touched on it a second ago with the
Jake Paul and Ilias Sparr. But this idea of boxers
versus MMA fighters, there's always this this and the fans
get into it too. There's always this perceived notion of

(02:15:57):
what a fight is and who's a fighter. Guys look
at boxers and say, you guys are very limited. You
call yourselves fighters, but your boxers and we are the fighters,
and boxers are like, well, we would whip y'all's ass
in boxing. It's kind of always the argument, well, y'all
want to always come fight us, y'all? Yeah, that the
MMA fighters do want to fight you guys because you

(02:16:17):
make a shit ton of money. That's literally the only
reason this conversation ever happens is because boxers don't have
to leave their sport to make shit tons of money,
and then they understand how easy work MMA fighters are
in their specific sport in boxing, so that they can
call them out and go them into it because there
where the money is. That's why y'all need us. Y'all

(02:16:38):
need us, the boxers, because that's the money over here.
We don't have to do all that because y'all don't pay.
That's always the excuse. Yeah, we won't go do that
because y'all don't pay. And it's a good excuse, because
why would boxers go to MMA. They would get absolutely,
in my opinion, obliterated. But using the idea of not
being paid to do it is a good cover. Now,

(02:16:58):
if we're talking about a real life situation. Aiden brought
this up with Eliot ta Poria because as of what
was it a couple of weeks ago, Actually, let's go
all the way back to this. Shaqueur was asked about
an interaction between Eliot Taporia and Terrence Crawford. This is
sometime last year, and this is what he had to say.

Speaker 18 (02:17:20):
I've kind of seen a picture of Bud dapping him
up before Budd was going to his workout or leaving
his workout. I think them guys gotta leave but alone.
I think Budd Crawford is just different. In a boxing
ring with him, Bro, you're not gonna last more than
one round. I don't think you bet off saying UFC
like Budd is the guy that I wouldn't be surprised
that if he gets into the UFC and beat the

(02:17:42):
shit out of some guys too, because he got a
great wrestling background. I don't seen him wrestle real wrestlers,
like real wrestlers on some everyday shit.

Speaker 11 (02:17:51):
Because Bud looked bigger.

Speaker 18 (02:17:52):
Than that guy, he got longer arms. I wouldn't be
surprised come fight night if they do an a fight,
if Budd does not him out sleep or choked him
to death, I just wouldn't be surprised.

Speaker 1 (02:18:03):
As much as I love schakor Stevenson in his boxing IQ.
That's one of the most dumb things maybe I've ever
heard said. I'm sorry, that's one of the stupidest things
that is, Like I do UFC, Bro, I see red,
No jiu jitsu would work against me. I would just
fuck you up. Type of arguments that I've ever heard
in my life. And I'm not even trying to be

(02:18:24):
like the well actually kind of guy. But to say
Bud Crawford, who yes, does have an amateur wrestling background
and I think stops at the high school level, maybe
even middle school level, would have any shot in hell
of coming over into the MMA scene. And he said
some guys. Sure, could Bud Crawford beat some guys, some

(02:18:45):
MMA fighters in a MMA fight, Yes, could he beat
guys in the UFC. Probably not. You're talking about the
best of the best in the world in that promotion,
and it's not the heavyweight division. If Bud was a heavyweight,
I'd be like, you know what, he's probably got a
shot at some of the lower level guys because the
heavyweight division fucking sucks. But we're talking about the one

(02:19:05):
hundred and let's say, fifty five pound division in the UFC.
Even some of the guys at the lowest level that
have any basin grappling that isn't just learning to defend takedowns,
they're going to fuck Bud Crawford up with their grappling,
with their kicks, with their clinch and their elbows. The

(02:19:25):
clinch in boxing is much different than it is in MMA.
You're talking about getting double unders in MMA, where you'd
be looking for overhooks potentially in boxing, and you're going
for a ride. And I know Bud can defend himself,
and I've seen him wrestle. He has good wrestling instincts,
he's got a good bass, he understands how to wrestle.
But in MMA, you're wrestling only takes you so far.

(02:19:46):
Your MMA grappling is something completely different. So when Shakor
says stuff like I wouldn't be surprised these USC guys
need to lead but alone, I don't know what the
fuck he's talking about. And but is certainly not choking
out Iliotaporia. The one shot that Bud would have in
an actual MMA fight is to knock Ilia out on
the feet and use his punches to do that, because

(02:20:07):
there's no other avenue for him to win. There is
no avenue a hundred times out of one hundred where
Bud Crawford out grapples Eliot Toporia and chokes him. But anyway,
that was a year ago, and then Aiden Ross brought
this back up a couple of days ago, and here
is what Shakor had to say.

Speaker 18 (02:20:24):
You say that the UFC is more is better than
boxing it's true and you know it's true.

Speaker 16 (02:20:32):
Yo.

Speaker 8 (02:20:32):
You come on, wait this nigga came with me right now.

Speaker 1 (02:20:44):
So is the UFC better than boxing? It depends on
what you watch and what you're conditioned to watch. Boxing
fans are conditioned to watching the sweet science and or
the fisticuffs right there, their condition to watching punching and
the back and forth of punching. Now, as an MMA
lover myself and a guy that started in MMA and

(02:21:06):
then you know, worked into boxing media, I gotta agree
with Aiden, and not the same way he's saying, like, oh,
UFC is just always better, But a very good stylistic
matchup in MMA can be far more intriguing to me
than even the best matchup in boxing. I will say
this boxing at its best. Think you know Tommy the

(02:21:28):
hitman hearns versus Marvin Hagler. Think of a Connor Ban
you Bang Junior one fight right, like one of those
back and forth, like just down on the mouthpiece, not
throwing all technique out the window, but just going for it.
Those are some of the most entertaining fights I've ever seen.
But on the other side, you might get one or
two of those on an MMA card. Every week, and no,
they don't have the biggest names, but you're gonna get

(02:21:49):
back and forth action far more in MMA. And you
can say that's because the technique isn't as good, and
I'll agree with you. Listen to sweet sciences. The ability
at the highest level of boxing is phenomenal. A guy
like Shakurst and has mastered the game. But it's just like,
what's more entertaining to watch in any given fight. You're
gonna get on most boxing cards at least two or
three twelve round decisions, and that's fine, but stylistically it

(02:22:12):
may not be the most entertaining for a casual fan
to watch the UFC. You could turn it on. A
guy you've never heard of runs out with a fucking
mullet and three teeth and he's fighting a dude with
a mohawk and a lip piercing and a dude throws
a fucking flying sidekick to start the fight and the
guy across from him fucking it's rolling thunder or something

(02:22:34):
you just you never know, jumping off the fence showtime kick. Right,
There's just there's far more variety to what can happen
in the UFC, So I don't know, man, I think
it's just what you're conditioned for me personally, I'll take
a high level MMA fight in the moments that can
come out of it versus I don't know. I don't know.
I think they're both very, very good. It's hard to

(02:22:56):
tell which one's better. But the overall product, you're gonna
get more entertaining fights more often from the UFC box.

Speaker 11 (02:23:02):
I yo, Eli, he's too weird. Who is that he's weird?

Speaker 1 (02:23:08):
He said he's too weird. This is because Crawford and
had that interaction last year.

Speaker 11 (02:23:16):
He's, Oh, he's crazy.

Speaker 1 (02:23:19):
You fight Ilias one fifty five.

Speaker 4 (02:23:20):
I'm pretty sure.

Speaker 11 (02:23:21):
So what do you wat right now?

Speaker 4 (02:23:24):
Tell him he's a crazy boxer?

Speaker 1 (02:23:26):
You see, you see this was all framed off of
the box iliad To Puria, not fight iliot Ta Poria,
box iliot Ta Poia. And now the boxers again respect
to them, Shaquoran and Terrence Crawford are bad motherfuckers in
their own right, but they're not going to frame this
fight as a boxing match. Tell him to come fight me.
What they means is tell him to come box me, right,

(02:23:47):
because Chaquer is never going to nim to fight in
a more free Fight ILIOTPORI.

Speaker 11 (02:23:53):
USC would never be better than boxing at all.

Speaker 8 (02:23:58):
The skill level is different, only like John Jones would
dominate in boxing.

Speaker 1 (02:24:02):
Honestly, Okay, that's just for Maden. I don't know what
he's saying, but UFC would never be better than boxing
because the skill level involved. They are correct that the
skill set, the specific skill set in boxing at the
highest level, you can't replicate in the UFC because it's
it's not as specific, right Like for Terrence Crawford and Shakurta.
Be as good as they are at one specific thing

(02:24:24):
is so unique that, yes, that is more difficult to do.
In my opinion, it's more difficult to be as good
as they are at that one specific thing than it
is to be relatively good at a good amount of
things in MMA, right like being a the wrestler or
the grappler. The level of abiem number met off is
super super difficult to do. So in that respect, yeah,

(02:24:45):
boxing is is more skilled, but you know, as good
of a product as boxing. I think that's very debatable.
And I just think that the UFC as a product
has shown, even if they've gotten a little lackadaisical lately,
as a product. They have shown they are a titan
of their own industry. And without Turkey Ala Shake in
the ring magazine, boxing is not putting on that level

(02:25:06):
of event as much as the UFC continues to do
and forget you know, fighter pay, forget like all the
things that we in the specific skill set, who's more skilled,
Forget that, We're just talking about the product itself, which
is better. The UFC has shown time and time again
consistently that it produces a more consistently better product in

(02:25:27):
terms of what fans engage with than boxing does. Boxing
has great peaks, Canello, Crawford Massive, Massive, Fight, Usik Fury
Huge even product wise, Connor Ben and Chris Hubank Jr.
Joshua and Usik like you have those moments. But boxing
without Turkey Ala Shake, and to be fair, the recent

(02:25:48):
boom has not done that. Regardless, I'm being long winded.
Eliot had a chance to respond and this is what
he had to say.

Speaker 8 (02:25:54):
You listen, hid Terrence Crawford, I check Corse Stevenson on
strumucly they said they could beat you, and a fight
is Starance Crawford's course.

Speaker 1 (02:26:01):
They said that, Well again, Shakur was wild and he
said Crawford could beat Ilia in a fight. The last
time Crawford talked about fighting someone in the streets was
Joaquin Buckley, and Buckley had him so shook that and
and listen, this is not me saying that Crawford would
be shook in front of me. But Buckley had him
so shook over Twitter that Crawford was gonna go get
a gun. He said if he saw him in the street,

(02:26:23):
he said, who's street fights anymore? We got switches for
that kind of thing. Bro. That should tell you everything
you need to know about this conversation. Who would win
in a street fight? One of the greatest boxers of
this generation was talking to a no disrespect to Joaquin Buckley,
top ten guy in one specific division of the UFC,
and had no other argument than to say, I'm not

(02:26:43):
street fighting you. I'll go get my gun. That's really
case closed to me. But anyway, Aiden's being a little
bit disingenuous with this framing of what he said. It
wasn't a fight. They said they would beat h mant
was a boxing match and I fight.

Speaker 11 (02:26:55):
They can't be. I woke the floor with both of them. Yeah,
they said they could take They said they could beat
you up and like in mm A.

Speaker 8 (02:27:04):
Well, I think did they say boxing chat right?

Speaker 10 (02:27:06):
Listen, If we are sharing this room right now and
we are like me Crawford and and someone has to
make the bed.

Speaker 11 (02:27:16):
What do you think is the I think they said
box there's boxes. I swear to god they.

Speaker 1 (02:27:23):
If we're sharing a room, who's making the bed? The boxers?

Speaker 2 (02:27:29):
Yeah?

Speaker 9 (02:27:29):
Bro?

Speaker 11 (02:27:29):
Generally, like what the's talking about? You only know one
part of the fighting.

Speaker 19 (02:27:36):
Game, which is like boxing, true, you don't know everything
about it wrestling the ground game like it's it's different.
If I, I swear to God, if I have to
go against both of them, you beat them.

Speaker 11 (02:27:54):
So yeah, he wants to fight. Yeah, time to come
fight me. Let's go, buddy, whenever you.

Speaker 1 (02:27:59):
Want, all right. So, to make a long story short,
I know this video is already long enough as it is.
It's very simple. In a boxing match, a boxer will
win nine times out of ten. But in an MMA fight,
I think an MMA fighter is going to win, if
not nine times, ten times, eleven times out of ten.
I think boxers would have a far harder time competing

(02:28:21):
at the highest level in MMA than MMA guys would
have competing in boxing. Not saying that MMA guys are
gonna beat high level boxers can't happen. Won't happen. It
would be a bad night for an MMA guy. We've
seen it time and time and time and time and
time and time and time again. We have multiple examples,
but we also have two successful examples. Connor McGregor going

(02:28:43):
ten rounds with Floyd and Francis and Ghanu not only
knocking down sitting Tyson Fury on his fat ass, but
almost beating it. Sure was Tyson out of shape? Did
he take it not as seriously? All that I grant you,
But they still fought and he was the sitting heavyweight
champion of the world. The bad part about boxers making
MMA guys come over more and more is they get

(02:29:04):
more experience doing it. We get more examples of potential
success they could have had had they been boxing the
entire time. And yes, heavyweight's a different thing. My point
is you would not see that same level of success,
at least in my opinion, from boxers coming over outside
of a one punch knockout or you know, a situation
where they were able to keep a fight standing for
more than thirty seconds. Not gonna be the same. There's

(02:29:27):
no way to plan for a real life situation when
it comes to fighting, like are you in a crowd,
are you in a street, are you in a back alley?
Are there weapons? Let's just say, in a hand to
hand combat situation, one on one, nobody else around, no weapons.
An MMA fighter is probably winning that ninety to ninety
nine percent of the time because of their useful skills

(02:29:49):
in hand to hand combat, because they don't just have
to ball up their fists and punch. They can grab,
they can they can grapple, they can kick, they can clinch, elbow,
they can ni can submit to you. They can elbow
you from the top, and ground and pound, and there's
just there's too many variables that a boxer isn't familiar with,

(02:30:09):
even one as good at wrestling as Terence Crawford, there's
a limit to what he knows and when a fight
can't be controlled, like a boxer would have a hard
time keeping a wrestler on their feet, a wrestler, a grappler,
anyone that can grab a hold of another human being
and know what to do after is going to be
able to control a situation better than just trying to

(02:30:32):
locate and punch, especially when they also know that the
other person across from them can only punch. So I
think this entire thing is always a silly topic of
discussion when we go back and forth about it. But
it's a pretty simple one. Boxers will dominate in boxing,
MMA will dominate in hand to hand combat no rules
and or mixed martial arts rules. It's that simple to me.

(02:30:55):
But I want to make this video so that you
guys had my stance on the thing. Yes, I'm pretty
dominantly a boxing channel, but I cover MMA sometimes here
and that was my first love in combat sports. But
you gotta speak the facts, and the facts are when
it comes to the sport of fighting, fighters will win.
When it comes to the sport of boxing, boxers will win.
It's that simple, you guys. Let me know what you

(02:31:15):
think down below. Would Eliot Tziporia ever actually sparred Jake Paul?
What would happen in that spar and what would happen
if Ilia boxed Chakor or Terrence? And what would happen
if they came and fought him in MMA? Because I
don't have those answers, and we'll probably never find out,
all right, so we are back on the way concept
presented by The Ring Magazine and Folks today breaking news
out of the UFC. That's right, we're back on our

(02:31:37):
MMA coverage. Why not. We need to be big fights
coming in the MMA scene this year, and one of
the biggest announcements has come from Dana White in the
form of a title vacation. That's right, the light heavyweight
Championship of the World has been vacated by Alex Pereira
and at UFC three twenty seven, it will be That

(02:32:05):
was way louder than I expected it. I apologize to
everyone's ears. It will be Uri proatsca versus Carlos Olber
and in the main event, it will be for the
undisputed light heavyweight Championship. Alex Prera vacates, but it's for
a good reason and we're about to talk about it
because there was only one thing that would make Alex
Preyra move up. It was a big opportunity, a massive fight,

(02:32:29):
a chance to become a three weight world champion and
possibly against one of the greatest ever do it. What
do I mean? The breakdown? Let's go. But folks, before
we get into the breakdown, I want you to know.
This year is the year of health and supplementation. That
means you should be doing what's best for your body
and getting yourself in the best shape possible. And the

(02:32:51):
people that help me do that are the best supplementation
company inside the United States. They are First Form. That
is right. First Form is the best health and supplementation
company in the United States. And what they've done for
me since starting with using their products is changed my
health and fitness routine. As you guys saw last year
around this time, I had my first boxing match and

(02:33:12):
I was in the best shape of my life, and
since that moment, I got a little out of shake.
So once I started my fitness journey back this year
with First Form and their way Isolate protein, their Formula one,
which is a one hundred percent way isolate HSSEF certified
and as a great taste, I'm rocking the Vanilla shak
right now and their micro andized creatine to help my
muscles recover. I have seen weight loss muscle gain at

(02:33:35):
a rate I haven't seen since I was in my twenties.
So those who don't know, yeah, I'm going on. I'm
thirty three years old and I'm trying to keep myself
not only healthy, but feeling good because I'm always on
the go. You guys are seeing me at events or
seeing me do videos here, and I want to make
sure for the long term, I'm putting myself in the
best position possible to be healthy. And that's what First

(02:34:39):
I continue to build myself back in my health and
fitness journey and I use the best supplementation on the
planet through First Form. Thank you for First Form for
sponsoring this video, and now let's get back into the breakdown.
So Ariahelwani, multiple MMA outlets have covered this, but I
wanted to talk about it because of the potential of
this Yes you, FC three seven is stacked. It is

(02:35:02):
locked and loaded with big time fights all away across
the card. As we can take a look here this
out of my face. I'm Josh Hokit, by the way,
who is becoming one of my favorite fighters. Gett an
opportunity against number four ranked Curtis Blades. That'll be an
interesting fight to wrestlers. But all the way down the
card we have banger fights Nate Landwiir versus Cup Swanson
that might be sneaky one that takes fight of the night, Gastillon,

(02:35:24):
Vincente Luke, I mean just banger s Tatianasuarez. On the
card we have Dominic Grayis, Johnny Walker, Patricio Pitbull, Aaron Pico,
My go Aaron Pico. After the sad sad loss. He's
back though, Kevin holland Randy Brown. That's a fun stylistic matchup.
Gam rot Abaniel Daryus, Manuel Torres one and twenty five

(02:35:46):
pound title on the line again. And then our comin
Yuri Prolaska Carlos Olberg. The odds are not out yet,
but as you can see, that one's gonna be a banger.
People are already saying Yurie champion again. Question Mark, We'll see.
The thing I want to take a look at is
the why behind this? Why would Dana White and Alex
Preira agree that he would vacate the light heavyweight title.

(02:36:08):
It's pretty clear that the number one reason is he
wants three belts and right now Tom aspinall double eye injury.
We don't know when he'll return. He doesn't know if
or when he'll return, So potentially, do you do an undisputed?
Do you do an interim heavyweight championship? And who do
you do it with? Let's take a look Aarl Lwani
had a short that they just put out over on Undisputed.
Let's see what he had to say.

Speaker 15 (02:36:29):
Alex Praro, I can tell you this is not giving
up his belt to just fight, you know, Alexander Volkov,
he wants to make history now. The only thing bigger
than becoming a three division champion is being the first
guy to beat John Jones.

Speaker 1 (02:36:42):
Yes, that is right, Rocky. Sorry, I'm sorry that I'm
I got so loud there. My dogs lay behind me.
But yes, that is what we want. And not only
is that what we want, ladies and gentlemen, but we
want it now, we want it this year, and we
want it at the White House. And I'll explain why
in just a second. It's really the only fight that
makes sense for the White House. It's probably the biggest

(02:37:05):
fight you could put onto the White House. Even though
people on Twitter are trying to tell me that's not
the case, I don't believe him. This would be the
number one option. This would be the perfect main event
for the White House, having an American ed it. We'll
talk about it more in a second. But if they
go with this, if the UFC decides and somehow gets
John to come to the negotiating table, and by the way,
I don't think it would be very hard. John has
said multiple times that he wants absolutely to be the

(02:37:29):
main event of the White House. This is what he wants.
So this is not like you know him versus Tom
aspinall situation where you know John was asking for thirty million,
and Tom is a way way tougher stylistic matchup for John.
Alex Prera while on the feet, very very dangerous for
John if John can take him down, which I believe
is a better possibility than even Big ONC trying to

(02:37:52):
take alex Prera down, even at John's older age. I
just value John's grappling far more. The fight becomes very
advantageous to John Jones regardless. It just makes all the
sense in the world, and I think this would pull
him back in. This would be the thing, even at
you know, hip athritis and the whole deal. This would
be it. And you know Pereira wants that, so they've
been teasing it for a while. The only thing was

(02:38:12):
that Dana White said, yeah, I can't trust John in
the main event. When he sat down with me, he
said the same thing in Las Vegas, I can't trust
John Jones in the main event. Hopefully finds a way
to trust him, because this would be perfect. Just keep going.

Speaker 15 (02:38:25):
He wants that. If he can't get that, he's fighting
for interim more undisputed slash vacant goal. This is sort
of a tipping of the hand of what is to come.
A big fight is coming for Alex Parra. Now's the time.
The heavyweight division is pretty damp thin. The best heavyweight
right now is nursing two bad eyes after double eye surgery.
Now's the time. In my opinion, we're raither getting Alex

(02:38:46):
pere versus John Jones. We're getting Alex pere versus Surreal Gun,
and we're gonna get it in the next few months.

Speaker 1 (02:38:50):
So there's that. And if I am Dana White and
I put on Alex Pereira in the White House, you
better be absolutely sure you can get John Jones, because
I'm not gonna lie as much as is MMA. Twitter
will tell me that Alex Prera versus Currill Gon is
a better fight. I don't give a single flying about

(02:39:10):
that fight for the interim belt. If John Jones is available, yeah, okay,
it would be two great kickboxing strikers doing their thing,
and yeah, that would probably be an entertaining fight. But
we're trying to draw one of the biggest cards of
the year, and John Jones Alex Prera the headliner, big
name White House. That's the fight to make. I don't
want to see an interim title fight between no Americans

(02:39:33):
and the White House. And call it my American bias,
but this is a celebration of two hundred and fifty
years of America. To not have an American in the
main event, Why are we even doing it at the
White House at that point?

Speaker 6 (02:39:44):
Right?

Speaker 1 (02:39:44):
Why not just do International Fight Week in Vegas and
then you know what, fine do Surrill Gon and Alex
Prera if that's what you want to do. But this
is the White House. This is meant to again celebrate America.
I know the one wants to do that these days,
and sorry about it. I'm patriot. Don't care if you
like it or not. Point is that fight makes all
the sense in the world. John and Alex Pereira. I

(02:40:06):
don't want to see Alex come up and get an
interim title shot versus Cyril Gone. I mean again, it
would be a fun, entertaining fight. I don't want to
say I don't want to see the fight. I just
don't want to see at the White House. I want
to see that American trying to defend and that who
knows Alex Prera could definitely beat John Jones, although I
don't think his chances are as good as if you
were to fight cyrel Gon. And the other thing is
too like cereal God keeps getting fed title shot after

(02:40:27):
title shot and no offense to Cyrilla. It didn't look
like he intentionally poked to Asment on the eyes, but
he did. He poked him in both eyes. Tom's eyes
up real good, gave him brown syndrome. Dude, old that
brown syndrome, captain in saying no Brown's and before that,
John Jones submitted him in like under a minute. So
we're talking about the best versus the best? Do we
really actually believe that the best versus best for an

(02:40:48):
interim title is Currel Gon and Alex Perera? Do we
believe that's the best versus best at heavyweight? Even if
you want to say, yeah, Alex needs to prove himself whatever.
I understand giving him the title shot, but it should
be against who we genuinely believe, if not Tom Aspittal
is the next best heavyweight fighter on the planet, Sean Jones.
So I hope that gets done. And speaking of timelines,
Ariel said that fight will happen in the next couple

(02:41:09):
of months well and why and his typical Instagram live announcement.
I can't believe they're still doing this. No posters, no
no video announcements, no effort into doing it. And it's
because they don't have to. That's really what it is.
It's because they don't have to do it and they
can just announce fights like this. The fact that they
still do it though, Like you guys, remember when they

(02:41:30):
announced Connor versus a BEV the comeback where Connor was
laughing like the joker and you know, as a press
conference big board, that shit was fire or you know,
even though it got leaked to brock Lesner's return Fire.
Now we get this shit. Anyway, here's Dana talking about
what the plans are for the White House card.

Speaker 7 (02:41:47):
I will I will have more information for you guys. Actually, no,
this week I should announce the uh the White House fight.
This week I should be announcing it.

Speaker 1 (02:42:02):
There you go.

Speaker 7 (02:42:03):
You guys got any questions when ships starts saying oil
me up?

Speaker 11 (02:42:08):
I know you guys are done with me.

Speaker 1 (02:42:09):
Still doing that in Big twenty twenty six. But yeah,
this week they're set to announce and I just think
it's a letdown if it's anything other than a main
event with John Jones or you know, an American fighter,
Like if you wanted to tell me, it would be
main event Sean Strickland, Hamza Shamaia. Okay, I'm down with
that too, right, Like, whatever it is, it needs to
be an American in the main event, Connor McGregor, Michael Chandler,

(02:42:30):
even though I don't think that's gonna happen as I
think we'll go back to the aerial video here. I
think that they are moving on from that fight, but
let's keep let's watch their subvisions.

Speaker 15 (02:42:39):
So that's what that signifies. Prayer is no longer to
the champion at two oh five. He's been there, done that,
He's fought everyone there except for Carlo Salberg. But it's
not again. No one was banging the drum there. He's
beaten Yurie twice. Let him go for history. He's in
his late thirties. I love this. I think Alex versus
Tom is a dream fight. I think Alex versus John
is a dream fight. And I think Alex versus Cyrilla

(02:43:00):
has the history component to where it becomes a massive
fight as well.

Speaker 1 (02:43:04):
Yeah, I don't believe that I don't believe Alex versus
Cyrill Gun becomes a massive, massive fight. I just think
that at the White House you need to do specifically
American main event. John Jones is you know, ibso facto
the first or second best heavyweight on the planet, given
the shot to Cyrill gone when the last time he
fought John he got choked in a minute and we

(02:43:24):
had the no contest with Tom aspinall, I just doesn't
really move me now. There was also reporting that Connor
McGregor was was, you know, supposedly going to be on
the White House card. That seems to not be true,
as Connor is getting ready and he keeps asking for
a fight day, but apparently it's going to be backed up.

Speaker 15 (02:43:42):
Right here and now we're either getting, in my opinion,
we're either getting Oux Prayer versus John Jones, we're getting
Oux Pra versus Currell Gun. It doesn't look like it's
going to be Connor on the White House card. They
have an International Fight Week main event or a card
scheduled for July eleventh in Las Vegas at Timobilrina. There's
a greater chance of him fighting on that card than
on the White House card. There's no money to be made.
In fact, they keep touting effect that there's money to
be lost from the White House event.

Speaker 1 (02:44:03):
Yeah, so there's that part of it too. With Connor McGregor,
this was, you know, the idea that he was going
to be on the White House Card. He wanted to
be on it. But how you justify paying what do
they say, sixty million dollars for the White House Card,
which is what it's going to cost the UFC. The
UFC White House Card is still four months away, but
the cost of the event could potentially skyrocket pass sixty

(02:44:23):
million once it's all said and done, and reportedly they're
going to lose close to thirty million paying that much
for this card. So how are you going to justify
that and pay Connor McGregor a ridiculous amount of money
to come and be a part of it? Don't really know. Now,
you're gonna have to pay John and Alex Brera or
whoever fights Alex Breira, if that indeed is the main
event they're working on, but you won't have to pay

(02:44:43):
him like you pay Connor McGregor, which pretty much bankrolls
the entire event every time he is on one. So
the other interesting thing about that is that the UFC
is going to put two cards on two weeks apart.
That are massive cards. Around two weeks apart, you're gonna
have at the end of June. What this was supposed
to I think thought Signify was International Fight Week was
going to be the UFC White House card. Turns out

(02:45:05):
that's gonna be its own, like one off, standalone event,
which again it should be in my opinion, but they're
still gonna, you know, take July fourth off or maybe
they'll do a Fight Night or something, and then the
week after that they are going to do another big
time card from T Mobile Las Vegas, your standard International
Fight Week, which you know, according to Aeriel there they're
trying to get Connor McGregor the headline. So I mean,
that's really where we're at with this entire thing, is

(02:45:26):
that John Jones is the guy they look like they're
trying to get as the big fish to go against
Alex Preira potentially if you wanted to do the interim
title there, or you strip tom Asminall. I hate to
say it that way, but like if you can't fight,
he can't fight, you make it for a belt and
you make it Alex Prera trying to get three belts
historic John Jones never had a loss, best of all
time in my opinion. I know people are gonna be

(02:45:48):
upset by that, but I just think he's the greatest
fighter I've ever seen. You give him the opportunity to
grab a third belt, even if it is an interim
against John Jones, who's never been beat, who's considered the
goat by most people with a brain, and you don't
get anything bigger than the White House America two fifty.
The whole thing right now again is a consolation. Would
I take Cyril Gon I would rather see like Sean Strickland,

(02:46:09):
Hams at Chamaiev or something like that, or I don't know,
I don't know who any other American fighter you could
put in the main event and it would be like, okay, yeah,
Eliot Suporia, Justin Gaigie, I will take that, sure, but
it's probably not the best look to watch Ilia absolutely
smoke Justin Gaichee in the main event on American soil
for America two fifty and the American gets knocked the
fuck out right and again, Hamza could just eat Sean

(02:46:30):
Strickland alive as well, So you can't always rig these things.
It's a fight for a reason. It's not WWE. The
American may not win with the best bet is probably
John freakin Jones. So that's what I think.

Speaker 9 (02:46:40):
Man.

Speaker 1 (02:46:40):
I hope, I hope, I hope they get done with
this and it's John Jones Alex Prera. I'm probably sipping
on the opium and it's probably not gonna happen. It'll
probably be Cyril Gon and Alex Pereira. And I'll still
watch the event, of course, because it is the white
House event. It's historic. But let me know what you
guys think, am I Is this too unrealistic to believe
that John Jones and Alex Prera could be made? Even
though Dana Whyite said he didn't trust John Jones in

(02:47:02):
the main event, even though they offered him thirty million
and he turned it down to fight Tom aspinall, even
though they're gonna lose millions on the White House card,
could they still get this one done and pull off
a miracle because they absolutely need one. It's in the
final hours. I feel like, yeah, we're in February, the
fights in June, but you have to put these things
together ahead of time. Dana said he's been working on it.
He's been working on it, and now he says next

(02:47:23):
week they are going to announce maybe not the main event,
but they're going to announce some fights for the card.
It's starting to roll out, and the question is, with
Alex Perera moving from light heavyweight to heavyweight, you have
Carlos Olberg and Yuri Prohaska in the UFC three twenty
seven main event for the undisputed light Heavyweight Championship of
the World. That entire card stack. We're probably gonna do
a livestream for it. But the bigger story even than that,

(02:47:45):
in my opinion, yes, that's a massive story new light
heavyweight champion, but it's the fact that Alex is actually
gonna try the trifect to go for three world titles
in the UFC. May just do it against John Jones.
I could be wrong. I'm just going off the sources.
We have Aeriel Hawan reporting the finer details of this thing,
and the fact that they're gonna have two major cards,
maybe one headlined by Connor McGregor in mid July. What

(02:48:08):
happens at the UFC White House. Do they get the
big Fish, do they get John Jones? To come back
and defend America at UFC, the White House card. I
don't have those answers, but I guess we'll find out
