train multiple and I'm not just saying I didn't train
multiple first round picks. Plexico Birds. His son, Elijah Burrs,
is the truth. They don't play him they on drugs.
But congratulations to your daughter because she's representing team or
she's trying out for Team USA. And like I said,

he was a hell of an athlete and him and
his wife have bred hell of an athletes.

Think that's one of the reasons why you know she is,
you know where she is, because she always played against
the boys in high level competition. So she's super proud
of her man and watching her you know, take the
bulls bottle horns and kind of afford her own path

football and Matthew Stafford, a lot of great a lot

so unfortunate, man, sending our condolences to him. And I'm

that would race now or not not even now they'll

earn Hard Jr. And Kyle Busch. Them them names that
I'm like, oh you say those names. I know exactly
who they are. Obviously you know who Richard Childress is
and other older drivers, but the current drivers, everybody knows
who Kyle Busch is. So condolences man to his family

in the NASCAR world and the fans of his Yeah, man,
it's unfortunate.

is going to be his last season. When you look
at the news of okay a rod saying this is
gonna be my last season. He's arguably a top five
quarterback to ever play in the history of the National

Football League. I believe he's generational the way that all
these young kids they mimic and want to throw the
ball and be like Aaron Rodgers. I see it because
I'm on the field with them, damn near every day.

Expectations for the Pittsburgh Steelers Aaron Rodgers this season?
Speaker 5 (05:51):
You know, just sitting here, you know, thinking about Aaron
Rodgers going into his last season. He just announced that
obviously he's gonna retire after this twenty twenty sixth season. Uh,
you know, what what does that mean? You know for
the Pittsburgh Steelers after this year moving forward? Obviously DK
Metcalf and uh, Mike McCarthy and Aaron Rodgers, they they

are in the in the reunion again. Uh, they've won
a championship together, watch Aaron win multiple m vps in
this league. And you know, I believe that just based
off of last year that they were able to get
to the Pittsburgh Stellers to the playoffs. Uh, you know,
he's going to come in and he's going to know

the offense that Mike McCarthy's going to you know in
it'stall because obviously he was in there for so many years.
But I expect them to go out and compete. I
think that they are the third best team in the
AFC North. I'm I'm going with the Cincinnati Bengals to
win the AFC North this year. I think it's time
for Joe Burrow and and that group to you know, uh,

put this whole thing together. If Joe Burrow can stay
healthy and win the division. In a strong second, I
believe that's going to be Lamar Jackson's Baltimore Ravens. You know,
even though they are under a new head coach and
uh jesse mentor.

John Hobbar is no longer there. But for the Pittsburgh
still is.
Speaker 5 (07:22):
I really just don't think that, uh, you know, just
because Aaron Rodgers is coming back, Mike McCarthy is his
first you know, ten year coach, and in Pittsburgh with
the you know, the aging defense that they have with
you know, Craig Haywood and t J. Watt, who is
still one of the top five players at his positioned.
I expect for them to go out and compete, but

not to Yeah, to make the playoffs and and make
him run.

For a super Bowl. Anything is possible.

But just looking at the current state of this roster,
I think Aaron Aaron has a little bit left in
the tank.

He can still throw the football.

He's still, you know, one of the top ten quarterbacks
in this league when he's playing well. But just looking
at this overall season, how deep the AFC is and
from a conference standpoint, and let alone the division, it's
one of the most competitive divisions in the AFC. So
I would say that, you know, he's going to be good,

But from a whole you know, construction point of this
whole roster, I just don't see them, you know, winning
this division and getting into the playoffs.

We know one thing, when the Pittsburgh Steelers, they're gonna
play great defense. It doesn't matter who they play, who's
the coach, the Pittsburgh Steelers are going to play great defense.
That's what they do, and that's what they will do
on the offensive side of the ball. Will the addition
of Michael Pittman matter enough to work?

Aaron Rodgers knows he can rely on DK and Pick
because they both have been successful prior to coming to
the Steelers as receivers on their respective teams, the Seahawks
and the coach and what you and I do believe
they will be successful those that tandem of receivers. But Man,
that division Baltimore with Menser, they're gonna play great defense.

Man Mintor is a hell of a coach, being an
assistant in Baltimore, he leaves, he goes to the Chargers,
turns that defense around immediately. They're one of the top
defenses in the league while he was at the Helm.
So now you're going back to Baltimore to be the
head coach. It's I wouldn't say it concerns me, but
(09:39):
the fact that Lamar isn't there at OTA's with a
new offense, a new offensive coordinator. You once a quarterback there,
he's not there. It is what it is, and so
I believe the Bengals do win the division for Pittsburgh Steeters,
I don't. I'm not sure, and I don't want to
stride out of defense. I don't believe they make the play.
(10:00):
Just be last year, the Bengals weren't very good. Lamar
missed some time obviously, the Cleveland Browns weren't very good,
and the Steelers they were a solid team. Aaron Rodgers
is still a really good quarterback. But the last I
(10:22):
believe it was a twenty one season, when his last
year in Green Bay. I believe it was the second
and last year in Green Bay. That was like his
last great season, and so that would be four seasons
he'd be four seasons removed with this upcoming season from
(10:43):
that last youth. I don't know if we've ever seen
a quarterback go three seasons without playing really really great
football and in that fourth season like, okay, I'm gonna
turn it on again this year, and so Aaron Rodgers
gonna be on. Rodgers will have a good season. I
don't believe will have a great season. I don't believe
the Steelers will have a great season, but they'll be

competitive with everybody.

Don't be right there at the end.

But I know one thing Aaron Rodgers will go down
in history as the quarterback that really change the way
these young kids look at and how they play the position. Literally,
everybody that is training now wants to throw the ball

like Aaron Rodgers. So his impact on the game will
forever be there.

I mean you just said that. It is no doubt
about it.
Speaker 5 (11:39):
I mean, Aaron Rodgers is obviously one of the best
quarterbacks that this game has ever seen. He's currently ranked
fifth on the all time you know passing list and
only one MVP behind Paton Mannon with five and Aaron
Rodgers has four. And you know this thing he's going
into this season, you know he's gonna pay have some

stats because you know, Matthew Stafford is right down on
his tail, is all the time passing leader at the
number six Slott and he's only like seventeen hundred and
fifty yards behind Aaron Rodgers. So Matthew Stafford will catch him,
you know.
Speaker 3 (12:14):
The next couple of years. But there's no doubt about it. Man.
Speaker 5 (12:18):
You know, I had a chance to opportunity to play
against Aaron Rodgers, you know, several times and just watching
him from the sideline, and you could just say to yourself. Man,
what would I do if I had.
Speaker 3 (12:31):
A quarterback that could throw me the ball like that?
Speaker 5 (12:34):
So if you were a wide receiver on the opposing
team and you got a chance to sit down and
watch Aaron Rodgers throw the football, you know his accuracy,
and you know him being able to decipher defenses and
just his ball placement, you know, and and tight spaces.
It was something that he knew. It was just special
(12:55):
to see something that you had never seen. But when
it's all said and done, he's going to be mentioned
as one of the top quarterbacks to ever play this sport.

Absolutely, But yeah, we'll see what happens with the Steelers,
always a good team, great organization. We will see Aaron Rodgers.

So you you would assume and think that you know,
he's been rehabbing and you know, getting him getting himself
back in you know, football playing for him, and and

you know, we just learned that he's had a second
surgery on his need for you know, to remove from
scar tissue and because of stiffness. And now you know
they're talking about he's not going to be available for
OTA's We know that. And now we're you know, approaching
you know, training camp in July. And if you're John

Harbrough and the New York Giants, you know, what do
you do with with my Eliku Neighbors doing for moving forward?
Speaker 3 (17:21):
Uh?
Speaker 5 (17:22):
Do you you know, let him skip the entire training
camp and try to get him.
Speaker 3 (17:27):
Going in healthy to week one? Uh?
Speaker 5 (17:31):
Versus I believe the Dallas Cowboys and Uh, it's just
a situation where you know, if you don't have Molik neighbors,
then this offense is not really dynamic as it is
with him not being a part of it. It is
a part of Jackson Dark's development, you know, as a quarterback.

They definitely need neighbors to be a part of this
team that they want to contend and compete and the East.
But if I'm the New York Giants and I'm looking
at that situation, uh, you have to start looking at,
you know, alternatives from the wide receiver position via free
agency or making trades. Uh, just because you just don't
(18:17):
know if he's going to be healthier enough, you know,
to play or you know, just to be available for
open Day. Your best ability is availability, and unfortunately for him,
you know, he's suffered, you know, he he's had some
lower extremity injuries with the with the foot of the
toe and now the knee and the second clean up.
(18:39):
I just don't know, you know what you do if
you're the Giants, I mean, all you can do is
continue to move forward with his team and his offense
and a bunch of receivers that you have, but you know,
not having him available for the entire summer, you just
don't expect for him when he gets back on the
football field, for him and Jackson dark to have that
(18:59):
report or that they need if they want to have
success within this offense.

Man just calling it what it is. Without my league Neighbors,
the Giants aren't making the playoffs.

The Giants.

Will no longer be the sleeper team in the NFC.
It's just impossible because when you need a big play threat,
you need a guy that when Wanda Tennessee, Okay, so
these will be the two starters if if Malik isn't there.

I know they signed Darnell Mooney from the Falcons, and
I believe they re signed Darius Slaton Darius Yes, So
those will be their two receivers. I don't think that's enough,
neither one of those guys. It's not being the league guy.
And so just the explosive plays that when we need

a big play, we know we can count on that.
That that that's Neighbors. And I'll be honest, if Neighbors
missus training camp, it's gonna take him a good three
to four weeks just to get back going. I said so,
because you gotta think you and that since you you
(20:19):
you missed the entirety of last year, you get hurt
Week four, you played three games. Right, even if he's
not back by training camp, and we would like to
think June, we're towards the end of May, so you'll
have two months to rehab prior to training camp.

If it's not do you want to put him on
a football field doing training camp?
Speaker 4 (20:45):
That's going to be the thing you I don't think
that you do if he if he is going to
play week one. Yeah, Now I'm not saying that. The
outset of training camp you probably have him on the side,
you know, getting in shape, moving around a little bit,
running around sat probably fifty sixty percent. And then I
(21:09):
would say the second maybe about ten days in the
training camp, you would want him out there just to
see you, just to see and if he can't do it,
then now it's a problem. Now our season is like oh,
because the Giants had two first round picks and now
(21:31):
they may regret not drafting a receiver with one of
those picks because they thought Mylak Neighbors was going to
be ready to go and now he isn't.
Speaker 5 (21:42):
Let me ask you a questions, but historically, what does
John Hawball want to do?
Speaker 3 (21:48):
Run defensively?
Speaker 4 (21:50):
And yeah they play defense running by Reese and yeah,
my gore the tackle from Miami. I believe that was
a two extract. Yep, dexa Norse is a long longer there.
But if you're John Harball, if you're looking at this
outset of wide receivers as you just mentioned, you have
Darius Slayton, uh, Darnell Mooney to come over, maybe you
(22:13):
can run the football enough in the first you know,
three or four week can squeak out you know, one
or two wins without having an explosive playmaker. So I
think that's going to be the recipe for John Harball,
knowing that if Elik Neighbors is not available, they're going
to have to you know, whole teams under twenty points,
(22:33):
seventeen points and be able to establish a running game
and you know, uh, you know, have some have some
passing success off of the play action, but they're not
just going to be able to drop back with Jackson
Dark and ask Darnell Mooney and and uh and Darius
Slayton to go win to go win one on one
(22:54):
battles and make plays for us. I don't think that's
the recipe for the Giants at all.

Offensively.
Speaker 4 (23:02):
Yeah, I pretty much agree that this revelation, so to
speak of it is not a simple procedure. I guess
it was scar tissue that was causing a ton of
stiffness in his knee. I've never had a knee injury.
Of did you have any type of major knee injury?
(23:23):
I did not. I was blessed man. We we we
both for very blessed to had other ones, but not
not not though, I just don't know what it is
to go through that. And so you know, you you
have this stiffness you have, how does that feel mentally
(23:44):
when you when you are ready to come back or
they say will your mental be right? Well, will you
be able to just kind of cut it loose?

And so.

Malik had such a great, rooky season. Many thought, Okay,
he's another one of them LSU receivers. That's here, they go,
He's about to be one of the top receivers in
the league. And now with this injury, it kind of
slows that progression down. And as a player, man, this

can be this really can be depressing man as a player,
because you you look forward to playing the game, you
look John Harbaugh gets hired, you look forward to getting
on the practice field, showing these new coaches what you
can do, how they can count on you, how they
gonna use and now you can't even get on the field.
(24:36):
And so for from elite, you just want to make
sure because you know a lot of these dudes now
they have mental health problems or mental health Uh what
work am I looking for? That affects them at times?
And so you hope that that is not the case
(24:57):
because if you can't a lot of times, man, you
take the game away something that we all love and
it's never been taken away from you before because of
injury like this. For this for such a long period,
you just want to make sure mentally he's in a
right head space. But the Giants their season in many
(25:18):
saying I believe the Giants are going to make the playoffs,
and I was one of many without Melik Neighbors. It's
a rap. I don't believe they make the playoffs without them.
So I'm gonna get back into my book and see
who's gonna be the team that makes it, because it
will not be the Giants without Melik Neighbors. But we'll see,

we'll see where it goes. How he heals up in
these next seven eight weeks prior to training camp. But
we're gonna talk to h I. Longe, get these updates

NASCAR legend Kyle Busch issuing a statement of short time ago,
saying that Bush died from severe pneumonia that progressed into
sepsis that resulted in rapid and overwhelming complications. Bush died
on Thursday in a Charlotte hospital at the age of
forty one. In Game three of the NBA's Western Conference

Finals on Friday night, the Oklahoma City Thunder what at

On Friday night, Zach Netto hit two home runs in

You know you know who is very appreciative as well,
Matthew Stafford. I could be wrong, but I believe he
will become the highest paid player in the history of
the National Football League after this season. In the following season,

he will surpass everybody even more. Matthew Stafford. He agreed
to a one year, fifty fifty five million dollar extensions,
so he is under contract for two more years. Many many, many,
many believed the Rams are prohibited Super Bowl favorites. Not
(27:59):
a weakness on offense, not a week and it's on defense.
Matthew Stafford is one of the best quarterbacks. What do
you make of this? And I want to kind of
delve into this a little deeper. If if if Matthew
Stafford wins another Super Bowl, would you say he is

a top five quarterback ever in the history of the
National Football Leaguer.
Speaker 3 (28:28):
That's kind of tough.
Speaker 5 (28:29):
I mean, obviously, he's coming off of historic season forty
seven hundred yard passing, you know, forty six touchdowns and
the most valuable player you know in this league and
only eight interceptions. I mean, it's one of the finest
seasons that we have been able to witness, you know,
you know, in this league. But when you get to

talking about a top five quarterback, if he does happen
to you know, win his second World Championship, disagree. Just
looking at the quarterbacks of the past, in the current quarterbacks,
you know, even if he does be does go out
(29:12):
in winter World Championship, I would not personally, you know,
rink him as a top five all time quarterback. He'll
be one of the great quarterbacks to play this game.
But when we talk about the top five quarterbacks to
ever play, I think that's a stretch. Maybe six, Maybe

I'll give him six, But I can't put him in
my top five of all time best quarterback. If he
does and if he does happen to win his second
Super Bowl, that's just my my my thought.

I agree with you, I do because Matthew Stafford and
when you look, obviously, the number one draft pick out
of the University of Georgia gets drafted to the Detroit Lions.

But Matthew Stafford and Calvin Johnson are putting up crazy
stats and many will say, oh, yeah, crazy stats because
they're always losing.

He goes and gets traded to the Rams, and then
he goes from quote unquote a loser to now a winner.
You win your first Super Bowl. I believe in twenty
twenty one, you win your first team. He was on
you win your first MVP last year. And so once
he left Detroit and he got with an organization that

was doing things the right way. And not to say
that Detroit wasn't, but they had so many losing seasons
in a row, and now with Dan Campbell, they'd seem
to turn it around that we were able to see,
I guess the real Matthew Stafford. And so he just
had a real late career resurgence to where everybody knew

he was a great thrower or the football. Everybody knew
he was already one of the best quarterbacks, but now
his winning in the individual accolades of an MVP has
kind of let everybody know, like, ah, okay, And so
you got a lot of people saying, if Matthew Stafford
wins another championship, oh, he's for sure one of the

top quarterbacks ever.

Statistically that's what he is.
Speaker 4 (31:27):
And now he he'll have to have had the accolades
to back that up. Another thing would Stafford that not
many people talk about, And it's just really crazy because
if it was a receiver doing this, they'd be saying
it's a problem.

Seemed like Stafford get a deal every year. Bro, I
mean he get he get a new deal every year,
and it's quiet and nobody ever says anything but left.

But was it out there that's sing that Stafford was
looking for an extension?

goes out and wins the Super Bowl. I mean, I really,
I honestly believe that Matthew Stafford can play another four
or five more years. That's just me based off of
the eye test of what I see in him in

the way he's playing the game right now.

He can play another four or five years in this
he probably can play a four or five years. He
won't be playing another four or five years with the
Los Angeles Rams.

Matthew Stafford get another extension after this year, Todd Simpson
has shown them he's not the future. That's all that is.
But I know Matthew Stafford man, he he getting his money.
He don't care what nobody say. They don't make a
big deal about it. And so I just I just want,

you know, a lot of people to keep the same
energy with everybody else when they trying to get paid.
Because Kirk Cousins they got him and him and Kirk
Cousins man. Who I know who Kirk Cousins agent is
Mike McCartney, but I don't know who. Let me google
Matthew Stafford agent because whoever he is, you man, you

have earned your money. That commission that you've gotten for Matthew,
you've earned it because you stay getting him.

what happens with the Ram season. Like I said, Stafford
is one of the greatest quarterbacks to ever played. It
is a pretty football and you got to really appreciate

him because he's not a mobile quarterback to have the
type of success that he's had lately, when every quarterback
that is coming into the National Football League is so mobile.
He's a pocket passer that can do any and everything.
I'm a fan of his. The Rams being a prohibited

super they can't disappoint you. You you trade for Trent McDuffie,
signed to extension, you signed Trey Hawkins in free agency.
The defense is loaded, offenses loaded. Let's see where this
season can go. Because like I said, so many people
are picking the Rams they're gonna win Super Bowl.

I mean the picking the Rams win the Super Bowl,
but they still have to make it out of the
NFC West. The NFC West is not a pushover it.
It looks like it's going to be a great division.
But the Niners are older. If they can stay healthy,
the Seahawks speedy. People are high on I don't know
if I'm high on them.

When you lose your offensive coordinator and just assume we're
gonna get back on this bike and it's gonna be
business as usual. I'm not sure that will be the case,

was passed in the state of Florida that will allow
coaches to aid players. And that bill is a Teddy
bridge Water Bill. For those that don't know, he was

a head coach, had football coach at Miami Northwestern High
School and Miami the west On High Schools an inner
city school, and Teddy Bridgewater played at that school and
he knew the difficulties of what it was like being
a student athlete while playing at that school as an
adolescent in the team. And so all he did was
(37:16):
when he became the head coach, oh, y'all need an
uber to go get this treatment at therapy. He paid
for it like anybody would do. Other coaches got mad,
felt like it was unfair. He was like, you know what,
I'm leaving went back to the National Football League. So
now that bill has been passed, coaches can now help
(37:36):
their players. I'm sure coaches were still doing it anyway,
they just weren't making it public. But it's a maximum
of fifteen thousand. I don't believe any coach that can
afford it is going to worry about what the cost is.
If you can help a kid and help one of
your former players or current players, you're going to do that.
And if he's fortunate enough to make it to the
(37:57):
National Football League or just make it a successful life,
he will turn around and pay it forward.

That's just what we do. What are your thoughts on this?

I love it because we can't afford these things in
the inner city. We can't. We just can't. And so
if you have somebody willing to help you was the problem?

I mean, look at what we're talking about.

We're talking about a quarterback and Teddy Bridgewater himself Will
attended his high school when he was playing you.

Know, football at Northwestern.

Down in Miami, Down and Dade County and he becomes
the head coach of this football team, and the coaches
get upset because Teddy Bridgewater is giving aid and help
to his players, because he's in a position to make
these young men lives better. And they said it's illegal

in the state of Florida. Suspended Teddy Bridgewater for you
using his own funds out of pocket for we're talking
about hyperbaric chamber cryo therapy uber rise to get to
him from practice. And when did it become illegal to
take money out of your own pocket to feed your
(39:18):
players a pregame meal before a football game? What is
illegal about that? What we should be talking about is
the moral compass of Teddy Bridgewater and what he was
able to provide for these young men and he's and
his players and be a mentor to these young men
(39:40):
that were players on this football team. That's what we
should be talking about. And kudos kudos to the State
of Florida the governor taking this Teddy Bridgewater Act and
signing it. And now it's a new day in the
State of Florida that these coaches who are in a
position to help these young men better themselves, they give
(40:04):
them an opportunity by being able to provide services for
them that they cannot do themselves. So shout out to
Teddy Bridgewater in the state of Florida for getting this
Teddy Bridgewater Act signed.

Being able to help people that need to help, genuinely
need to help. This is we're not bribing kids, We're
not paying kids to come to the school. These kids
genuinely need to help. And so, like you said, kudos
to the state of Florida for passing this. So many
kids man that needed this will continue to need this.

What I want to know is will Teddy Bridgewater now
be going back to high school football when his career
is over with in the National Football League to coach
and continue to help. We will see. We'll see you

train multiple and I'm not just saying I didn't train
multiple first round picks. Plexico Birds. His son, Elijah Burrs,
is the truth. They don't play him they on drugs.
But congratulations to your daughter because she's representing team or

he was a hell of an athlete and him and
his wife have bred hell of an athletes.

I'm like, oh you say those names. I know exactly
who they are. Obviously you know who Richard Childress is
and other older drivers, but the current drivers, everybody knows
who Kyle Busch is. So condolences man to his family

in the NASCAR world and the fans of his Yeah, man,
it's unfortunate.

All you know, uh, you know, I've been watching Catching
up with It on the plast couple of days and
oh the all time winning this you know race.

just sending prayers out to him and his family.

So your team, the Pittsburgh seither the team that drafted
Plexicico Baris in the first round. Aaron Rodgers confirms this
is going to be his last season. When you look
at the news of okay a rod saying this is
gonna be my last season. He's arguably a top five
quarterback to ever play in the history of the National

Football League. I believe he's generational the way that all
these young kids they mimic and want to throw the
ball and be like Aaron Rodgers. I see it because
I'm on the field with them, damn near every day.
Speaker 3 (05:41):
What are your.
Speaker 4 (05:43):
Expectations for the Pittsburgh Steelers Aaron Rodgers this season?
Speaker 5 (05:51):
You know, just sitting here, you know, thinking about Aaron
Rodgers going into his last season. He just announced that
obviously he's gonna retire after this twenty twenty sixth season. Uh,
you know, what what does that mean? You know for
the Pittsburgh Steelers after this year moving forward? Obviously DK
Metcalf and uh, Mike McCarthy and Aaron Rodgers, they they
(06:17):
are in the in the reunion again. Uh, they've won
a championship together, watch Aaron win multiple m vps in
this league. And you know, I believe that just based
off of last year that they were able to get
to the Pittsburgh Stellers to the playoffs. Uh, you know,
he's going to come in and he's going to know
(06:38):
the offense that Mike McCarthy's going to you know in
it'stall because obviously he was in there for so many years.
But I expect them to go out and compete. I
think that they are the third best team in the
AFC North. I'm I'm going with the Cincinnati Bengals to
win the AFC North this year. I think it's time
for Joe Burrow and and that group to you know, uh,
(07:02):
put this whole thing together. If Joe Burrow can stay
healthy and win the division. In a strong second, I
believe that's going to be Lamar Jackson's Baltimore Ravens. You know,
even though they are under a new head coach and
uh jesse mentor.
Speaker 3 (07:19):
John Hobbar is no longer there. But for the Pittsburgh
still is.
Speaker 5 (07:22):
I really just don't think that, uh, you know, just
because Aaron Rodgers is coming back, Mike McCarthy is his
first you know, ten year coach, and in Pittsburgh with
the you know, the aging defense that they have with
you know, Craig Haywood and t J. Watt, who is
still one of the top five players at his positioned.
I expect for them to go out and compete, but
(07:44):
not to Yeah, to make the playoffs and and make
him run.
Speaker 3 (07:50):
For a super Bowl. Anything is possible.
Speaker 5 (07:52):
But just looking at the current state of this roster,
I think Aaron Aaron has a little bit left in
the tank.
Speaker 3 (07:58):
He can still throw the football.
Speaker 5 (07:59):
He's still, you know, one of the top ten quarterbacks
in this league when he's playing well. But just looking
at this overall season, how deep the AFC is and
from a conference standpoint, and let alone the division, it's
one of the most competitive divisions in the AFC. So
I would say that, you know, he's going to be good,
(08:24):
But from a whole you know, construction point of this
whole roster, I just don't see them, you know, winning
this division and getting into the playoffs.
Speaker 4 (08:34):
We know one thing, when the Pittsburgh Steelers, they're gonna
play great defense. It doesn't matter who they play, who's
the coach, the Pittsburgh Steelers are going to play great defense.
That's what they do, and that's what they will do
on the offensive side of the ball. Will the addition
of Michael Pittman matter enough to work?
Speaker 3 (08:54):
Now?
Speaker 4 (08:55):
Aaron Rodgers knows he can rely on DK and Pick
because they both have been successful prior to coming to
the Steelers as receivers on their respective teams, the Seahawks
and the coach and what you and I do believe
they will be successful those that tandem of receivers. But Man,
that division Baltimore with Menser, they're gonna play great defense.
(09:17):
Man Mintor is a hell of a coach, being an
assistant in Baltimore, he leaves, he goes to the Chargers,
turns that defense around immediately. They're one of the top
defenses in the league while he was at the Helm.
So now you're going back to Baltimore to be the
head coach. It's I wouldn't say it concerns me, but
(09:39):
the fact that Lamar isn't there at OTA's with a
new offense, a new offensive coordinator. You once a quarterback there,
he's not there. It is what it is, and so
I believe the Bengals do win the division for Pittsburgh Steeters,
I don't. I'm not sure, and I don't want to
stride out of defense. I don't believe they make the play.
(10:00):
Just be last year, the Bengals weren't very good. Lamar
missed some time obviously, the Cleveland Browns weren't very good,
and the Steelers they were a solid team. Aaron Rodgers
is still a really good quarterback. But the last I
(10:22):
believe it was a twenty one season, when his last
year in Green Bay. I believe it was the second
and last year in Green Bay. That was like his
last great season, and so that would be four seasons
he'd be four seasons removed with this upcoming season from
(10:43):
that last youth. I don't know if we've ever seen
a quarterback go three seasons without playing really really great
football and in that fourth season like, okay, I'm gonna
turn it on again this year, and so Aaron Rodgers
gonna be on. Rodgers will have a good season. I
don't believe will have a great season. I don't believe
the Steelers will have a great season, but they'll be
(11:05):
competitive with everybody.
Speaker 3 (11:06):
Don't be right there at the end.
Speaker 4 (11:09):
But I know one thing Aaron Rodgers will go down
in history as the quarterback that really change the way
these young kids look at and how they play the position. Literally,
everybody that is training now wants to throw the ball
(11:30):
like Aaron Rodgers. So his impact on the game will
forever be there.
Speaker 3 (11:37):
I mean you just said that. It is no doubt
about it.
Speaker 5 (11:39):
I mean, Aaron Rodgers is obviously one of the best
quarterbacks that this game has ever seen. He's currently ranked
fifth on the all time you know passing list and
only one MVP behind Paton Mannon with five and Aaron
Rodgers has four. And you know this thing he's going
into this season, you know he's gonna pay have some
(12:00):
stats because you know, Matthew Stafford is right down on
his tail, is all the time passing leader at the
number six Slott and he's only like seventeen hundred and
fifty yards behind Aaron Rodgers. So Matthew Stafford will catch him,
you know.
Speaker 3 (12:14):
The next couple of years. But there's no doubt about it. Man.
Speaker 5 (12:18):
You know, I had a chance to opportunity to play
against Aaron Rodgers, you know, several times and just watching
him from the sideline, and you could just say to yourself. Man,
what would I do if I had.
Speaker 3 (12:31):
A quarterback that could throw me the ball like that?
Speaker 5 (12:34):
So if you were a wide receiver on the opposing
team and you got a chance to sit down and
watch Aaron Rodgers throw the football, you know his accuracy,
and you know him being able to decipher defenses and
just his ball placement, you know, and and tight spaces.
It was something that he knew. It was just special
(12:55):
to see something that you had never seen. But when
it's all said and done, he's going to be mentioned
as one of the top quarterbacks to ever play this sport.

Absolutely, But yeah, we'll see what happens with the Steelers,
always a good team, great organization. We will see Aaron Rodgers.

scar tissue and because of stiffness. And now you know
they're talking about he's not going to be available for
OTA's We know that. And now we're you know, approaching
you know, training camp in July. And if you're John

Harbrough and the New York Giants, you know, what do
you do with with my Eliku Neighbors doing for moving forward?

Do you you know, let him skip the entire training
camp and try to get him.

Going in healthy to week one? Uh?

Versus I believe the Dallas Cowboys and Uh, it's just
a situation where you know, if you don't have Molik neighbors,
then this offense is not really dynamic as it is
with him not being a part of it. It is
a part of Jackson Dark's development, you know, as a quarterback.

They definitely need neighbors to be a part of this
team that they want to contend and compete and the East.
But if I'm the New York Giants and I'm looking
at that situation, uh, you have to start looking at,
you know, alternatives from the wide receiver position via free
agency or making trades. Uh, just because you just don't

know if he's going to be healthier enough, you know,
to play or you know, just to be available for
open Day. Your best ability is availability, and unfortunately for him,
you know, he's suffered, you know, he he's had some
lower extremity injuries with the with the foot of the
toe and now the knee and the second clean up.
(18:39):
I just don't know, you know what you do if
you're the Giants, I mean, all you can do is
continue to move forward with his team and his offense
and a bunch of receivers that you have, but you know,
not having him available for the entire summer, you just
don't expect for him when he gets back on the
football field, for him and Jackson dark to have that
(18:59):
report or that they need if they want to have
success within this offense.
Speaker 4 (19:05):
Man just calling it what it is. Without my league Neighbors,
the Giants aren't making the playoffs.
Speaker 3 (19:10):
The Giants.
Speaker 4 (19:12):
Will no longer be the sleeper team in the NFC.
It's just impossible because when you need a big play threat,
you need a guy that when Wanda Tennessee, Okay, so
these will be the two starters if if Malik isn't there.

I know they signed Darnell Mooney from the Falcons, and
I believe they re signed Darius Slaton Darius Yes, So
those will be their two receivers. I don't think that's enough,
neither one of those guys. It's not being the league guy.
And so just the explosive plays that when we need

a big play, we know we can count on that.
That that that's Neighbors. And I'll be honest, if Neighbors
missus training camp, it's gonna take him a good three
to four weeks just to get back going. I said so,
because you gotta think you and that since you you
(20:19):
you missed the entirety of last year, you get hurt
Week four, you played three games. Right, even if he's
not back by training camp, and we would like to
think June, we're towards the end of May, so you'll
have two months to rehab prior to training camp.
Speaker 5 (20:40):
If it's not do you want to put him on
a football field doing training camp?
Speaker 4 (20:45):
That's going to be the thing you I don't think
that you do if he if he is going to
play week one. Yeah, Now I'm not saying that. The
outset of training camp you probably have him on the side,
you know, getting in shape, moving around a little bit,
running around sat probably fifty sixty percent. And then I
(21:09):
would say the second maybe about ten days in the
training camp, you would want him out there just to
see you, just to see and if he can't do it,
then now it's a problem. Now our season is like oh,
because the Giants had two first round picks and now
(21:31):
they may regret not drafting a receiver with one of
those picks because they thought Mylak Neighbors was going to
be ready to go and now he isn't.
Speaker 5 (21:42):
Let me ask you a questions, but historically, what does
John Hawball want to do?
Speaker 3 (21:48):
Run defensively?
Speaker 4 (21:50):
And yeah they play defense running by Reese and yeah,
my gore the tackle from Miami. I believe that was
a two extract. Yep, dexa Norse is a long longer there.
But if you're John Harball, if you're looking at this
outset of wide receivers as you just mentioned, you have
Darius Slayton, uh, Darnell Mooney to come over, maybe you
(22:13):
can run the football enough in the first you know,
three or four week can squeak out you know, one
or two wins without having an explosive playmaker. So I
think that's going to be the recipe for John Harball,
knowing that if Elik Neighbors is not available, they're going
to have to you know, whole teams under twenty points,
(22:33):
seventeen points and be able to establish a running game
and you know, uh, you know, have some have some
passing success off of the play action, but they're not
just going to be able to drop back with Jackson
Dark and ask Darnell Mooney and and uh and Darius
Slayton to go win to go win one on one
(22:54):
battles and make plays for us. I don't think that's
the recipe for the Giants at all.
Speaker 3 (23:00):
Offensively.
Speaker 4 (23:02):
Yeah, I pretty much agree that this revelation, so to
speak of it is not a simple procedure. I guess
it was scar tissue that was causing a ton of
stiffness in his knee. I've never had a knee injury.
Of did you have any type of major knee injury?
(23:23):
I did not. I was blessed man. We we we
both for very blessed to had other ones, but not
not not though, I just don't know what it is
to go through that. And so you know, you you
have this stiffness you have, how does that feel mentally
(23:44):
when you when you are ready to come back or
they say will your mental be right? Well, will you
be able to just kind of cut it loose?
Speaker 3 (23:53):
And so.
Speaker 4 (23:55):
Malik had such a great, rooky season. Many thought, Okay,
he's another one of them LSU receivers. That's here, they go,
He's about to be one of the top receivers in
the league. And now with this injury, it kind of
slows that progression down. And as a player, man, this

can be this really can be depressing man as a player,
because you you look forward to playing the game, you
look John Harbaugh gets hired, you look forward to getting
on the practice field, showing these new coaches what you
can do, how they can count on you, how they
gonna use and now you can't even get on the field.
(24:36):
And so for from elite, you just want to make
sure because you know a lot of these dudes now
they have mental health problems or mental health Uh what
work am I looking for? That affects them at times?
And so you hope that that is not the case
(24:57):
because if you can't a lot of times, man, you
take the game away something that we all love and
it's never been taken away from you before because of
injury like this. For this for such a long period,
you just want to make sure mentally he's in a
right head space. But the Giants their season in many
(25:18):
saying I believe the Giants are going to make the playoffs,
and I was one of many without Melik Neighbors. It's
a rap. I don't believe they make the playoffs without them.
So I'm gonna get back into my book and see
who's gonna be the team that makes it, because it
will not be the Giants without Melik Neighbors. But we'll see,

we'll see where it goes. How he heals up in
these next seven eight weeks prior to training camp. But

You know you know who is very appreciative as well,
Matthew Stafford. I could be wrong, but I believe he
will become the highest paid player in the history of
the National Football League after this season. In the following season,

he will surpass everybody even more. Matthew Stafford. He agreed
to a one year, fifty fifty five million dollar extensions,
so he is under contract for two more years. Many many, many,
many believed the Rams are prohibited Super Bowl favorites. Not
(27:59):
a weakness on offense, not a week and it's on defense.
Matthew Stafford is one of the best quarterbacks. What do
you make of this? And I want to kind of
delve into this a little deeper. If if if Matthew
Stafford wins another Super Bowl, would you say he is
(28:21):
a top five quarterback ever in the history of the
National Football Leaguer.
Speaker 3 (28:28):
That's kind of tough.
Speaker 5 (28:29):
I mean, obviously, he's coming off of historic season forty
seven hundred yard passing, you know, forty six touchdowns and
the most valuable player you know in this league and
only eight interceptions. I mean, it's one of the finest
seasons that we have been able to witness, you know,
you know, in this league. But when you get to
(28:50):
talking about a top five quarterback, if he does happen
to you know, win his second World Championship, disagree. Just
looking at the quarterbacks of the past, in the current quarterbacks,
you know, even if he does be does go out
(29:12):
in winter World Championship, I would not personally, you know,
rink him as a top five all time quarterback. He'll
be one of the great quarterbacks to play this game.
But when we talk about the top five quarterbacks to
ever play, I think that's a stretch. Maybe six, Maybe
(29:33):
I'll give him six, But I can't put him in
my top five of all time best quarterback. If he
does and if he does happen to win his second
Super Bowl, that's just my my my thought.
Speaker 4 (29:48):
I agree with you, I do because Matthew Stafford and
when you look, obviously, the number one draft pick out
of the University of Georgia gets drafted to the Detroit Lions.
Speaker 3 (29:59):
And they just loose, lose, lose, lose, lose.

But Matthew Stafford and Calvin Johnson are putting up crazy
stats and many will say, oh, yeah, crazy stats because
they're always losing.

They throwing the ball the whole second half.

He goes and gets traded to the Rams, and then
he goes from quote unquote a loser to now a winner.
You win your first Super Bowl. I believe in twenty
twenty one, you win your first team. He was on
you win your first MVP last year. And so once
he left Detroit and he got with an organization that

was doing things the right way. And not to say
that Detroit wasn't, but they had so many losing seasons
in a row, and now with Dan Campbell, they'd seem
to turn it around that we were able to see,
I guess the real Matthew Stafford. And so he just
had a real late career resurgence to where everybody knew
(30:59):
he was a great thrower or the football. Everybody knew
he was already one of the best quarterbacks, but now
his winning in the individual accolades of an MVP has
kind of let everybody know, like, ah, okay, And so
you got a lot of people saying, if Matthew Stafford
wins another championship, oh, he's for sure one of the
(31:21):
top quarterbacks ever.
Speaker 3 (31:23):
Statistically that's what he is.
Speaker 4 (31:27):
And now he he'll have to have had the accolades
to back that up. Another thing would Stafford that not
many people talk about, And it's just really crazy because
if it was a receiver doing this, they'd be saying
it's a problem.

Seemed like Stafford get a deal every year. Bro, I
mean he get he get a new deal every year,
and it's quiet and nobody ever says anything but left.

But was it out there that's sing that Stafford was
looking for an extension?

No, they just quietly get.

say the Rams winning Super Bowl, they drafted Tys Simpson

How many more years do you want Stafford to play? Well?

I think it's reminiscence of Brett fall. It'll be a
Brett fav In and Rob the situation, because if he
goes out and wins the Super Bowl. I mean, I really,
I honestly believe that Matthew Stafford can play another four
or five more years. That's just me based off of
the eye test of what I see in him in

the way he's playing the game right now.

He can play another four or five years in this
he probably can play a four or five years. He
won't be playing another four or five years with the
Los Angeles Rams.

Though, No, No, I don't know that at all.

Maybe two, and they gonna hand the keys to this
offense and to this team to Todd Simpson. If if
they don't hand the keys to Todd Simpson, Todd Simpson
has showed them in practice he's not the uh air
apparent that that's what will take place. If we see

Matthew Stafford get another extension after this year, Todd Simpson
has shown them he's not the future. That's all that is.
But I know Matthew Stafford man, he he getting his money.
He don't care what nobody say. They don't make a
big deal about it. And so I just I just want,

you know, a lot of people to keep the same
energy with everybody else when they trying to get paid.
Because Kirk Cousins they got him and him and Kirk
Cousins man. Who I know who Kirk Cousins agent is
Mike McCartney, but I don't know who. Let me google
Matthew Stafford agent because whoever he is, you man, you

have earned your money. That commission that you've gotten for Matthew,
you've earned it because you stay getting him.

I think he was c AA car. He with Tom
Condon and Jimmy Sex and he would top top top
top dogs.

So okay, yeah, yeah, you know a lot of people
they they they scared of Jimmy Sex and they gonna
do whatever he say. They Jimmy Sex a he a
move maker, and so yeah, kudos of them. Let's see
what happens with the Ram season. Like I said, Stafford
is one of the greatest quarterbacks to ever played. It
is a pretty football and you got to really appreciate

him because he's not a mobile quarterback to have the
type of success that he's had lately, when every quarterback
that is coming into the National Football League is so mobile.
He's a pocket passer that can do any and everything.
I'm a fan of his. The Rams being a prohibited
(35:24):
super they can't disappoint you. You you trade for Trent McDuffie,
signed to extension, you signed Trey Hawkins in free agency.
The defense is loaded, offenses loaded. Let's see where this
season can go. Because like I said, so many people
are picking the Rams they're gonna win Super Bowl.
Speaker 5 (35:45):
I mean the picking the Rams win the Super Bowl,
but they still have to make it out of the
NFC West. The NFC West is not a pushover it.
It looks like it's going to be a great division.
But the Niners are older. If they can stay healthy,
the Seahawks speedy. People are high on I don't know
if I'm high on them.

When you lose your offensive coordinator and just assume we're
gonna get back on this bike and it's gonna be
business as usual. I'm not sure that will be the case,
but we will see. We got to take a break.

know that there was a act or a bill that
was passed in the state of Florida that will allow
coaches to aid players. And that bill is a Teddy
bridge Water Bill. For those that don't know, he was

a head coach, had football coach at Miami Northwestern High
School and Miami the west On High Schools an inner
city school, and Teddy Bridgewater played at that school and
he knew the difficulties of what it was like being
a student athlete while playing at that school as an
adolescent in the team. And so all he did was
(37:16):
when he became the head coach, oh, y'all need an
uber to go get this treatment at therapy. He paid
for it like anybody would do. Other coaches got mad,
felt like it was unfair. He was like, you know what,
I'm leaving went back to the National Football League. So
now that bill has been passed, coaches can now help
(37:36):
their players. I'm sure coaches were still doing it anyway,
they just weren't making it public. But it's a maximum
of fifteen thousand. I don't believe any coach that can
afford it is going to worry about what the cost is.
If you can help a kid and help one of
your former players or current players, you're going to do that.
And if he's fortunate enough to make it to the
(37:57):
National Football League or just make it a successful life,
he will turn around and pay it forward.
Speaker 3 (38:03):
That's just what we do. What are your thoughts on this?
Speaker 4 (38:07):
I love it because we can't afford these things in
the inner city. We can't. We just can't. And so
if you have somebody willing to help you was the problem?

I mean, look at what we're talking about.

We're talking about a quarterback and Teddy Bridgewater himself Will
attended his high school when he was playing you.

Know, football at Northwestern.

Down in Miami, Down and Dade County and he becomes
the head coach of this football team, and the coaches
get upset because Teddy Bridgewater is giving aid and help
to his players, because he's in a position to make
these young men lives better. And they said it's illegal

in the state of Florida. Suspended Teddy Bridgewater for you
using his own funds out of pocket for we're talking
about hyperbaric chamber cryo therapy uber rise to get to
him from practice. And when did it become illegal to
take money out of your own pocket to feed your
(39:18):
players a pregame meal before a football game? What is
illegal about that? What we should be talking about is
the moral compass of Teddy Bridgewater and what he was
able to provide for these young men and he's and
his players and be a mentor to these young men
(39:40):
that were players on this football team. That's what we
should be talking about. And kudos kudos to the State
of Florida the governor taking this Teddy Bridgewater Act and
signing it. And now it's a new day in the
State of Florida that these coaches who are in a
position to help these young men better themselves, they give
(40:04):
them an opportunity by being able to provide services for
them that they cannot do themselves. So shout out to
Teddy Bridgewater in the state of Florida for getting this
Teddy Bridgewater Act signed.

Being able to help people that need to help, genuinely
need to help. This is we're not bribing kids, We're
not paying kids to come to the school. These kids
genuinely need to help. And so, like you said, kudos
to the state of Florida for passing this. So many
kids man that needed this will continue to need this.

What I want to know is will Teddy Bridgewater now
be going back to high school football when his career
is over with in the National Football League to coach
and continue to help. We will see. We'll see you
