Last year, last summer it was so hot that we
really need even get a chance to enjoy our back
yard because the weather was just it was just too

And I want to get into this because I'm assuming
I'm just gonna assume we're gonna have different opinions on this. Uh.
On this first topic, it's Tech quarterback Brendan Soresby. Obviously,
give a little backstory. Started I believe at the University
of Cincinnati was going a little game gambling, or he

started at Indiana I believe it was. Then he goes
to Cincinnati basically was gambling betting on games. Wasn't the starter,
but he was still betting on his team's games. Obviously,
it gets a huge nil deal to go to Texas Tech.
All this gambling information has now become public in suspense.
(03:21):
Then they pretty much sell you you can't play college
football anymore. Obviously, he appeals it, and he wins the appeal.
He's going to be allowed to play it in Now
you got all these other schools and specifically in the
Big Twelve, or we're gonna boycott Texas till we're not
gonna play Texas Tech. They all but hurt over this ruling.

What's your take on one? Sours be being allowed to play,
and the reaction from other head coaches and ads and
chancellors of schools in the Big twelve.
Speaker 2 (03:58):
I mean, well, first of all, he shouldn't be allowed
to play. I mean, the NC double A rule states
that it caused for a permanent loss of eligibility for
any player who waged on his own team, which he did.
I don't know if you recall when this case when
when this situation first a rose about a month or

two ago that the judge that was going to be
presiding on.
Speaker 4 (04:21):
The case were.
Speaker 2 (04:25):
Right, he recused himself because of the relationship with Texas
Tech han't been there. And then they come out and
they say, you know, he's ineligible, So what did you
think what was going to happen when he filed the
appeal in the state of Texas. He was going to
win and so so now it's kind of a double
edged sword, you know, for you know, this situation because
(04:49):
he was rude ineligible, he wasn't going to be able
to play, and then he comes back and wins the appeal,
and now so he's eligible to play again. And if
you look at you know what's going on now. A
lot of the coaches or the Oklahoma Attorney General is
calling for the Big twelve President to suspend Brendan Sowersby.
(05:11):
I don't know how that is going to take shape
because it's a legal case where they are saying that
he's eligible to play, but it clearly states that if
he did gamble, which he did, he admitted he had
checked himself in. And I believe that was a way
to admit his guilt and say, you know, I did
(05:32):
have an issue. And I think that kind of played
into the decision and with the appeal because okay, he
did recognize this because he checked himself in, blah blah blah,
but it still doesn't matter because he broke the rules.
And now moving forward, if we do run into another
situation as such, what is going to be the ruling
(05:53):
for the NCUBA. It goes to court. And so it
just doesn't make any sense to me of how this
young man is able to play. First of all, how
do you wager ninety thousand dollars in college.
Speaker 4 (06:12):
And bets? Where do you get ninety thousand dollars from?
Because I was in college, we ain't had nothing, but
you got ninety thousand dollars. We in il either.
Speaker 2 (06:22):
Ninety thousand dollars in wages. This was four or five
years ago, so the nil space really wasn't where it is.
Speaker 4 (06:30):
He would say he had enough. He mustn't. He was
winning and losing.
Speaker 2 (06:35):
He had the bread, that's for sure. But I think
it's kind of a I don't know what the NCUBA
does moving forward because the rule states with seeing these
states that you know he's ineligible because he broke the rules,
and it's evident that he did do so. So I

don't know if you're the Big twelve commissioner, what you
do moving forward. Because all of these coaches and these
attorney generals in these following states, of these teams that
they're going to play this year are calling for him
to be suspended. So I don't know where they go
on from that. But from my standpoint, from my point

of view, the man broke the rules. He shouldn't be
able to play college football this season.

I knew we were gonna be on different sides of
this one. I knew it.
Speaker 5 (07:27):
Listen, Okay, I'm kind of some of your I'm gonna
go against some of your points. If I'm the Big twelve,
I won't take tech to play and I want Brendan
Soy to be to be the quarterback. You know why,
they're our best team. They win, they make the college
football payoffs. They make our conference look better. Texas Tech
is by far and away the best team in the

Big Twelve.

At least it.

Looks what other team out of the Big twelve has
an opportunity going into the season. We believe that can
make the college football payoff. Many would just say Texas Tech.
I don't know anybody else. Arizona State made it a
couple of years back, but they're not going this year,

Number one.

If you're the Big twelve, they're your best team. Be careful, like,
why would you go against the best team in your conference?
That's number one? Number two is you stay well? He
broke the rules of the NCAA. Really the NC double A. Really,
the NC Double A has been a cricket organization since

its inception. Bro Like, their rules are what it's not?
It used to be the end all be all, but
those rules are you kidd me? You just said we
didn't have nil when we played. You know why because
they had everybody hood winked and everybody full, everybody's eyes
closed closed to, Oh, these guys are student athletes. The

scholarship was enough, and everybody else is making millions upon millions,
But you can't make millions up yourself because your quote
unquote the student athlete.

They had everybody fooled with that.

And then about gambling. You know they want to enforced.
They want to enforce Oh you can't bet. Well, where
was enforcement when they knew certain schools and coaches were
paying kids under the table, that they want to enforced
those rules. They weren't quick and forced those rules and
suspend those coaches and ban those coaches and get them

out of college.

They knew what was going on.

So how do you feel as a player playing against
Texas Tech? They go on to, I don't know when
the when the conference get into the college playoffs, and
you're one of these teams that don't get into the
college playoffs in this conference because you got beat by

a team and a player that's not even supposed to
be playing anyway, he is supposed to make you. They
don't make me feel nothing. They're better than us.

He's not was he was ineligible.

If I feel a certain type of way about playing
Texas Tech, I'm gonna beat him, and then we're gonna
shut them up.

Now they not going to the college football player.

If anybody in a Big twelve feels a certain type
of way about this ruling, y'all go beat Texas Tech,
Go beat them. Don't let them get to the college
football playoff. If that's how you feel, you're doing all
this yapping in the off season. So now when we
lay them up, we put them pads on. Do somebody
beat us?

football playoff. I just get what I don't like about
this plex is yes, I get what you're saying, rules
or rules. I do get that part about it. But
the NC double A has been cricket to me forever.
Like they want to enforce the rules that they want
to enforce, But when they know coaches forever been paying

pep under the table, they knew what was going on,
did they want to ban those coaches from coaching in
college football? Nah? They looked the other way. They looked
the other way, and now when it was free game
for everybody now to start paying players them coaches like, oh,
I'm gonna take my ball and go home now, I
don't want to coach no more. Oh I wonder why, okay,

now now that we all on the even playing field,
why you want to coach no more?

Why are you leaving?

So now it's an even playing field moving forward with
these players in college sports to able to gamble with
no consequences.

So are you saying that now the playing field is level? No,
I'm not saying.
Speaker 5 (11:48):
I'm not saying I don't agree with the fact that
he bet on his own team. It's too much integrity
issues that come with that. What I'm saying is what
I'm saying is the NCAA has been cricket for so
long and a player did something he wasn't supposed to do.

Give him a second chance. That's what I'm saying. It's
not like he's going to be allowed to play game one.
He has to sit and miss two games, and they
doing all this yapping about playing Texas the first game.
If I'm Texas, Oh listen, let's set this game up.

You're gonna buy my game out like you said, You're
gonna buy your game out like you Let's set it
up now. So that's one lost right there, Texas Tech gets.
Who lost is they're not going, so they could really
eliminate themselves, so to speak. But it's a young man.
He made a mistake. He knew he made a mistake.
He kept betting, and it was something that I would

hope he's going to learn from. But I just have
a problem when the NCAA really want to get in
here and.

DS are our rules.

And this is this, and this is that when when
we was playing, Ed O'Bannon came out them and everybody,
they made everybody think Ed or badman had lost his mind.

I know you remember that what you would.

Have done, because you wouldn't have been getting the money
guys getting out, but you would be getting one hundred grand,
one hundred and fifty. You know what you would have
done with that. And so and it's not just she
was so many players that would have benefited from nil
back when we were playing and before us that never
got this opportunity. And so now the ncuble that's why

they keep going to Congress because they want help. You
didn't want help when you was ripping the players off.
You didn't want to go to Congress to help the players,
But now you want Congress to help you. It's just
so two, face to me that they are doing this
now when for years, not for decades, they've been robbing
the kids blind and they had everybody believe it was

a student athleet.

I understand what I was saying, But what does it
mean to these young men who were caught gambling in
the same situation, who are ineligible because of the fact.
How does that make them feel? And Number two, what
do you go moving forward when this comes up again?

So I'll say this plex is Brandan Sowresby has to
be the example now for all the college athletes moving forward.
And what I mean in the reference to anybody that
wants to gamble in the future, because now it looks
(14:33):
like he's been giving a mulligan. Okay, he's been. He's
going to get a second chance. That's what it looks
like as of now. So his second chance is everybody's
second chance. Now you can't because I'm not saying I
agree with oh, Now next year a guy can go gamble,
gets suspended two games and they'll be eligible to play.
I don't want to keep having Pandora's box open up
(14:55):
and it's a case every year. What I'm saying is
this Brendan Sowerby's case is everybody's case in college football. Now,
this is your example. This is everybody's warning. Don't you
can't do it. And I believe that's what will happen
now moving forward because of all the attention that it's garnered.

Yeah, I agree with you. I agree with you to
that degree.
Speaker 2 (15:18):
But as far as I'm concerned, you know, wrong is wrong,
and the young man got caught, he got busted. And
I mean, did you really think that a judge in
Lovebook Texas would not rule in his favor? I mean,
(15:40):
the rightings on the wall is like, that's why he
that's why you fouled the appeal, you know, and this
basically the same city that that that that Texas Tech
is in.
Speaker 4 (15:51):
What did you think what's going what's going to happen? So?
Speaker 2 (15:55):
Uh, you know, I just you know, luckily for him,
he's going to be able to play, because this whole
thing had to be you know, done by I believe
it was June twenty second. If he was going to
have to you know, enroll into the NFL's supplemental drafts
or they're not moving up, they're not going to have

to do that. But I just think for him moving
forward next year going to the NFL Draft, how will
some of these NFL teams Antennas be up. You know
when it comes to do you want to draft this
young man because everything that's happened to him right now.

Well we'll see what happens Texas tex season. The big
twelve sores be how he plays this year with all
that is going on, we got to take a break.

So that's pretty much what it seems like and what
what what is your take on that and what surface
I may again we may be on different sides of this.
Did you prefer to playing on when you were playing.
Speaker 4 (18:56):
I prefer grass, obviously, I mean really.
Speaker 5 (19:00):
Let's talk about that for I'm not gonna I'm not
gonna lie to you, Plex. So obviously we came up
in the age of astro turf. You remember that, right,
That's the age me and Plex came up. Well, we
were like to tail end of that. We were to
tail end of the astro turf as they were going
to the field turf. Right, Yes, we were to tail
end of that. Yep, it's so me personally, Plex, I'm
(19:23):
not gonna lie. I guess because of the astro turf.
I didn't mind. I mean, yeah, the astro turf. I
didn't mind the field turf at all. Me personally, I
felt like Rangeleeder Snow. I was never slipping and if
I did slip, it was my fault because the technique
was bad on the route and I was lucky that
(19:46):
I didn't have injuries. So that and that could be why,
like any major injuries from the turf, and that that
could be why my my reasonings of what it is.
I just felt like I was getting in it out
of my break so easy on that turf and grass,
you know, playing in Cincinnati, playing in Pittsburgh.
Speaker 4 (20:07):
Just in that division.
Speaker 5 (20:08):
Oh you get to the end of the year, boy,
you taking four, five, six steps trying to get out
them curls and comebacks, because if you don't, you slipping
and falling. And so that's why me personally, I preferred
the field turf. And again I wasn't playing any work
when guys was tearing their knees up on that turf
up there, whatever kind of material they're using, their surface
(20:31):
and company they use. I do get that part of it.
But if you are going to put grass in for
these dudes to play soccer, ain't no weighing. Hell, you
not gonna put grass in for your own play. These
are your players that you've invested millions of dollars in
(20:53):
and not give them to me. It makes no sense.
But me, I would I'm cool with either one. But
it's a lot of the player, like yourself, prefer the grass.
Why wouldn't you get it to them? It's an investment
in your prayer makes no sense to me.
Speaker 2 (21:08):
One of the main reasons why you won't give them
the grass. It's simple. It's all based around money. They
saved millions of dollars in field and field maintenance every
year outside of the New York Giants, the New York Jets,
and the Los Angeles Charges and the Los Angeles Rams.
Speaker 4 (21:34):
I get it.
Speaker 2 (21:34):
I understand. I'm gonna tell you why. Because that grass
will be beat up by week eight because it's played
on every single weekend. I don't think any grass would
hold up if you put it in MetLife Stadium or
so far, because as much football that will be played
on that grass field, the field would be completely destroyed.
(21:58):
It's just too much for the take. And but on
the flip side of this, if you are I don't
love the Atlanta Falcons and you know, uh, you know
some of these teams that have turf and you don't
need it, I don't know why you would not, you know,
implement you know, grass into your stadium because obviously number
(22:19):
one is safer for the UH, it's safer for the players.
Players of the play on it. I love to play
on it, H versus field turf and UH. But when
you do see these this this grass going to this
UH in into these turf fields. It has to kind
of just as a slap across the face, you know,
to these players. And I've been in a sit I've
(22:42):
when I was here playing for the Giants. I come
into the stadium to to run stadiums one day in
the off season, and I come into this stadium and
the field turf that was on the field was was gone.
Do you know what was under the field turf? It's
(23:02):
a parking lot.
Speaker 4 (23:03):
Concrete, concrete. It had to it had it had the lines,
you know, in the line, had the lines on the field.
Speaker 2 (23:12):
And I'm saying to myself, I'm like, damn, I'm like,
it's really concrete underneath of this field turf. And that's
why I believe one of the reasons is, you know,
why did a lot of these guys are sustaining these
these catastrophic injuries, But because you have to realize that
this is concrete underneath of these turf fields.
Speaker 4 (23:36):
They're in the middle of a parking lot. What do
you think is under there? And what is it?
Speaker 2 (23:40):
I don't know, maybe a foot half a foot of
of rubber in between that and the concrete. And I
remember playing in Giants Stadium where some parts of the
stadium you would play in when it was cold, that
the frill that the field turf was frozen because the

ground is frozen underneath of us. You would be like, man,
you hit your head on this turf in some of
these col weather games and it feels like concrete. And
to just go back to what I was saying earlier,
I asked Woody Johnson about this when I was a
member of the JET.
Speaker 4 (24:18):
I said, why don't you guys have grass field?
Speaker 2 (24:23):
And you know what they said to me, Think about
all of these events that take place in these stadiums.
Speaker 4 (24:29):
They have the.
Speaker 2 (24:32):
Monster Truck Series, they have the motocross, they have all
of these concerts to where that's where they make their
money at Because all of those concerts and all those
events that they're having, the owners get that money. So
now if you take away that and you put grass
into these stadiums, they can't have these concerts and these
(24:55):
events because all it would do would just pack the
grass in and it would be destroyed. So they make
money on the flip side of it, and they save
money because there's no field maintenance. So the best thing
for some of these teams and owners to do is
to have field turfs so they can have these events
(25:16):
and put more money in their pocket. But me being
a player, I prefer to play on grass.

Yeah, we all know it comes to it's gonna come
down the money. We all know that's what it is.
Speaker 5 (25:30):
But again, to me, if I'm investing in each team,
I'm assuming. I mean Patrick Mahon just got five hundred
million dollar contract extension just off him alone, or the
Chiefs play on grass, but it's about what about when
we go play on the road in this teammate. So

I don't I don't know what's gonna happen. I believe
eventually a change will be made. It's just take time
and we're gonna make a slight, little change to what
we're doing. We gotta talk to our boy, our main

out of the NBA has multiple outlets reported a short
time ago, the Cleveland Cavaliers star James Harden was arrested
early this morning in Houston on a misdemeanor charge of
unlawfully carrying a weapon. Cops alleged that Harden had a
handgun in plain sight in his vehicle instead of it
being carried in a holster. He was released on bond.

Among the reactions from individuals on social media at this

we know, I don't know. We would assume Baker Mayfield
that's happened some ebbs and flows and ups and downs.

Because he won a contract extension.

Baker has been basically playing on a great, team friendly
deal since he's been in Tampa, just about thirty million
a year, and the top of the market now is

because I don't think that if he does not make
the playoffs this year, that hey, we will not be
the head coach for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers moving forward,
that's number one. And for Baker Mayfield, you said that

he was he's been playing on a Tampa Bay friendly
deal since he got there. Well little last time that
I checked, Baker Mayfield wasn't necessarily light lighting it up
before he went to Tampa Bay Buccaneers. He was just,
you know, just kind of former former number one pick,
(29:49):
kind of you know, he made the playoffs one year
in Cleveland, kind of being like this journeyman quarterback trying
to find some footing, you know, this league, to show
that he can play at this level. You know, granted,
he has had a couple good seasons in Tampa Bay,
but you know, now, I think basically what the Tampa
(30:13):
Bay Buccaneers are saying is that I don't think that
they're willing to pay him fifty billion dollars a year.
Speaker 4 (30:18):
I really don't, because.
Speaker 2 (30:20):
If that was the case, we would not be having
this conversation about where they stand with Baker Mayfield. Is
he underpaid based off of some of the stats that
he has had in the last couple years, Yes, But
when you get to talking about the fifty million dollar
club of being a top ten quarterback, I don't think
(30:42):
he falls into that group. Of the elite quarterbacks in
this league who are earning you know, fifty plus million
dollars a year. So it's going to be, you know,
for me interesting to see how Tampa Bay moves on
with Baker Mayfield moving forward, because Baker has basically came
(31:03):
out and say, you know, I'm not going to be
in this football season worried about getting a new contract.
I'm I'm giving these guys until training camp to get
a to get a deal done. And I just don't
think that the Tima Bay Buccaneers are really ready to
(31:26):
jump out of the window and say, you know what,
we're gonna pay Baker Bacon Mayfield fifty fifty five plus
million dollars. You realize that there's no more Mike Evans.
He's been a thousand yard receiver ever since he put
the cleats on the walk on the field. You lose
Chris Godwin, so you lose two of your starting wide receivers.
How does Baker Mayfield, you know, overcome the departure of
(31:51):
two you know, prime time starting wide receivers. And what
does this season look like, you know, throwing the football?
So I think it's a lot of it's a few
questions that need to be answered, and obviously the O
the biggest one. You just got to go out and
perform and show everybody that you are one of these
elite quarterbacks that you just do deserve to be put
(32:13):
in that class of making fifty plus million dollars a year.
Speaker 5 (32:16):
To me, that that's the going rate, like a minimum
Baker should be at fifty. That's still going rate for quarterbacks.
Speaker 4 (32:24):
That's just what it is.
Speaker 5 (32:27):
Their value is through the roof. And I'm just a
firm believer in if that's what everybody's getting. Watching Baker
settle for anything less than that, and it's really crazy because,
as you so, if Tampa Bay doesn't give it to him,
what team somebody somebody are giving somebody a giving.

Fifty a year.
Speaker 5 (32:49):
Because if you're giving, if you're paying a quarterback fifty
a year, you're saving money. You're nowhere near the top
of the market. You're just nowhere near the top of
the market now. And I don't I don't know who
is next up. I would assume it's gonna be CJ. Stroud.
If he has a great year, he's gonna go over sixty.
So you got all these young quarterbacks now that will
(33:11):
be coming. It's just gonna keep rising and rising and rising.
But I'm also a firm believer plex football is ultimate
team game. Because you just spoke of Mike Evans earlier.
If Mike Evans would have stayed healthy, the Bucks probably
make the playoffs.
Speaker 4 (33:26):
Baker Mayfield probably has a better year. Right, we would
agree with that. Right.
Speaker 5 (33:31):
And so receivers, Oh, you can just draft and get
any Nah, they matter so much. Receivers matter so much
because when a guy doesn't have help, oh man, he
just doesn't have a receiver on the outside that can win.
But as soon as you get that guy helps and
he starts playing well, you forget the year before you
just said he needed help. I mean, you look at
(33:51):
Bryce s Young in Carolina. He didn't have a number one.
Soon as teammate got there, Bryce Shank was like, oh,
Bryce Shung is turning the corner. Oh, I wonder why.
He had a really good receiver that was making place.
And so Baker Mayfield, somebody gonna give him money. You
look at the Pittsburgh Seeds. If they don't have a
great year and they're gonna have a good year, I
don't know if they have a great year to where
they'll be able to draft the Baker would fit right
(34:14):
in with the Steelers. He'd go slot right in there,
that quarterback. And so there's gonna be a service out
there for Baker Mayfield. And so the Bucks better be
careful because now they're gonna be on the market four quarterback. Yep,
here we go. We gotta find another quarterback because since
Baker's gone to town, but he's played well, now, he's not,
(34:36):
in my opinion, an upper echelon quarterback. No, but Baker
Mayfield is a quarterback one that that locker room follows.
He's the leader of men and he can play. I
get it, I understand. So if the time Bay Buccaneers
do not make the playoffs this season, what do you
think about Baker, you know, moving forward and being in

this group of fifty plus a million dollar a year.

Quarterback regardless, regardless of garden, no play else.

Yeah, this is what I would give Baker Mayfield per
year regardless. Forty seven to fifty one million a year.
That's my range. If I'm the Bucks, forty seven to
fifty one in that range, anything in that range. If
I'm the Buccaneers, I think it's fair for Baker. I
think it's fair for our team. So if we went

we went a four year one hundred and it's crazy
ninety two. I'm okay with that four year one ninety two.
About one hundred guaranteed, one hundred and twenty guaranteed. I mean,
it's crazy that you talk those numbers, right, but that's

and go to New York and assume the same role.

How how is it going to be because AJ Brown
went from Tennessee to Philly, now Philly to New but
he's in that same role. You can relate to this
because you've been down in this path. How is it
forming that connection with that quarterback getting off to a
great start.

Well, first of all, I don't believe that he's going
to be, you know, having the same role as he
had in you know, Philadelphia now that he's in New England.
Speaker 4 (37:18):
Because he had a lot of help.
Speaker 2 (37:19):
You know, obviously two years ago, Sakuon Barkley had one
of the best years in a history with close to
two thousand yards and he also had a complimentary wide
receiver and DeVante Smith. So those kind of things, you know,
work together as in ball and chain. But now that
you are a member of the Patriots, you are the stone.
(37:42):
You are the number one option one a wide receiver
you know, on this new team. And I really don't
think it really matters right now that people are saying
that Drake May and AJ Brown having great chemistry early,
we want to see it play out on Sundays. That
is what everybody wants to see. So I really honestly
(38:03):
believe that him, he became a distraction in Philadelphia. I
mean you can even hear some of the tea teammates
come out and say, I'm just glad that it's over
with now that we can move on. A lot of
things are going on with a j and Jalen Hurts,
So they say relationship wise him, you know, pulling out
the book, reading a book on the sideline during a game,
(38:25):
which I've never seen before. But now that he is
in New England, is he going to become a dominant
number one wide receiver that can take over football games?
And I think it's going to be put on this play.
I think we can all we can agree that, you know,
(38:46):
he's not a guy that necessarily takes the top off
of defense because you know he doesn't have that you know,
speed de elage speed that some of the other wide
receivers have being able to separate. So what it's going
to be his role? Obviously they're going to force feed
him the football and for him, I'm happy for him,
But now he has to go out and show that.
(39:07):
You know, he has a lot more to offer to
this football team in Philadelphia. Is he going to have
one of those fourteen fifteen thousand yard seasons that is
yet to be seen. But now that he got what
he wanted he wanted out of Philadelphia, is he going
to move on to the Patriots with Drake may Mike
(39:28):
Rabel and this offense. And is he going to become
that elite number one wide receiver that basically is the
main reason why he wanted to be out of Philadelphia
because he didn't want to share the spotlight with Devontae Smith.
Is he going to be a dominant wide receiver that
the Patriots can lie on weekend and week out to
(39:50):
win those one on one battles when they need to
be won.

Yeah. I feel like.

Going to New England is going to be refreshing for him.
He's gonna get more, He'll get more looks. You gotta understand,
when he was with the Eagles, he was he started
off with a bang, like a bunch of targets, munch
of yards two years in a row. Than the last
two years, it hasn't been much at all. I believe
he's gonna do well in New England. I do believe

he's gonna be a number one. Josh McDaniel is gonna
make sure he gets his targets and looks.

hot to be outside during the daytime. So hopefully it's

And I want to get into this because I'm assuming
I'm just gonna assume we're gonna have different opinions on this. Uh.
On this first topic, it's Tech quarterback Brendan Soresby. Obviously,
give a little backstory. Started I believe at the University
of Cincinnati was going a little game gambling, or he
(03:00):
started at Indiana I believe it was. Then he goes
to Cincinnati basically was gambling betting on games. Wasn't the starter,
but he was still betting on his team's games. Obviously,
it gets a huge nil deal to go to Texas Tech.
All this gambling information has now become public in suspense.
(03:21):
Then they pretty much sell you you can't play college
football anymore. Obviously, he appeals it, and he wins the appeal.
He's going to be allowed to play it in Now
you got all these other schools and specifically in the
Big Twelve, or we're gonna boycott Texas till we're not
gonna play Texas Tech. They all but hurt over this ruling.
(03:45):
What's your take on one? Sours be being allowed to play,
and the reaction from other head coaches and ads and
chancellors of schools in the Big twelve.
Speaker 2 (03:58):
I mean, well, first of all, he shouldn't be allowed
to play. I mean, the NC double A rule states
that it caused for a permanent loss of eligibility for
any player who waged on his own team, which he did.
I don't know if you recall when this case when
when this situation first a rose about a month or
(04:18):
two ago that the judge that was going to be
presiding on.
Speaker 4 (04:21):
The case were.
Speaker 2 (04:25):
Right, he recused himself because of the relationship with Texas
Tech han't been there. And then they come out and
they say, you know, he's ineligible, So what did you
think what was going to happen when he filed the
appeal in the state of Texas. He was going to
win and so so now it's kind of a double
edged sword, you know, for you know, this situation because
(04:49):
he was rude ineligible, he wasn't going to be able
to play, and then he comes back and wins the appeal,
and now so he's eligible to play again. And if
you look at you know what's going on now. A
lot of the coaches or the Oklahoma Attorney General is
calling for the Big twelve President to suspend Brendan Sowersby.
(05:11):
I don't know how that is going to take shape
because it's a legal case where they are saying that
he's eligible to play, but it clearly states that if
he did gamble, which he did, he admitted he had
checked himself in. And I believe that was a way
to admit his guilt and say, you know, I did
(05:32):
have an issue. And I think that kind of played
into the decision and with the appeal because okay, he
did recognize this because he checked himself in, blah blah blah,
but it still doesn't matter because he broke the rules.
And now moving forward, if we do run into another
situation as such, what is going to be the ruling
(05:53):
for the NCUBA. It goes to court. And so it
just doesn't make any sense to me of how this
young man is able to play. First of all, how
do you wager ninety thousand dollars in college.
Speaker 4 (06:12):
And bets? Where do you get ninety thousand dollars from?
Because I was in college, we ain't had nothing, but
you got ninety thousand dollars. We in il either.
Speaker 2 (06:22):
Ninety thousand dollars in wages. This was four or five
years ago, so the nil space really wasn't where it is.
Speaker 4 (06:30):
He would say he had enough. He mustn't. He was
winning and losing.
Speaker 2 (06:35):
He had the bread, that's for sure. But I think
it's kind of a I don't know what the NCUBA
does moving forward because the rule states with seeing these
states that you know he's ineligible because he broke the rules,
and it's evident that he did do so. So I
(06:57):
don't know if you're the Big twelve commissioner, what you
do moving forward. Because all of these coaches and these
attorney generals in these following states, of these teams that
they're going to play this year are calling for him
to be suspended. So I don't know where they go
on from that. But from my standpoint, from my point
(07:17):
of view, the man broke the rules. He shouldn't be
able to play college football this season.
Speaker 4 (07:24):
I knew we were gonna be on different sides of
this one. I knew it.
Speaker 5 (07:27):
Listen, Okay, I'm kind of some of your I'm gonna
go against some of your points. If I'm the Big twelve,
I won't take tech to play and I want Brendan
Soy to be to be the quarterback. You know why,
they're our best team. They win, they make the college
football payoffs. They make our conference look better. Texas Tech
is by far and away the best team in the
(07:48):
Big Twelve.
Speaker 4 (07:49):
At least it.
Speaker 5 (07:50):
Looks what other team out of the Big twelve has
an opportunity going into the season. We believe that can
make the college football payoff. Many would just say Texas Tech.
I don't know anybody else. Arizona State made it a
couple of years back, but they're not going this year,

and so Texas Tech.

Number one.
Speaker 5 (08:13):
If you're the Big twelve, they're your best team. Be careful, like,
why would you go against the best team in your conference?
That's number one? Number two is you stay well? He
broke the rules of the NCAA. Really the NC double A. Really,
the NC Double A has been a cricket organization since
(08:34):
its inception. Bro Like, their rules are what it's not?
It used to be the end all be all, but
those rules are you kidd me? You just said we
didn't have nil when we played. You know why because
they had everybody hood winked and everybody full, everybody's eyes
closed closed to, Oh, these guys are student athletes. The
(08:56):
scholarship was enough, and everybody else is making millions upon millions,
But you can't make millions up yourself because your quote
unquote the student athlete.
Speaker 4 (09:07):
They had everybody fooled with that.
Speaker 5 (09:10):
And then about gambling. You know they want to enforced.
They want to enforce Oh you can't bet. Well, where
was enforcement when they knew certain schools and coaches were
paying kids under the table, that they want to enforced
those rules. They weren't quick and forced those rules and
suspend those coaches and ban those coaches and get them
(09:31):
out of college.
Speaker 4 (09:32):
They knew what was going on.
Speaker 2 (09:34):
So how do you feel as a player playing against
Texas Tech? They go on to, I don't know when
the when the conference get into the college playoffs, and
you're one of these teams that don't get into the
college playoffs in this conference because you got beat by
(09:54):
a team and a player that's not even supposed to
be playing anyway, he is supposed to make you. They
don't make me feel nothing. They're better than us.
Speaker 4 (10:02):
He's not was he was ineligible.
Speaker 5 (10:06):
If I feel a certain type of way about playing
Texas Tech, I'm gonna beat him, and then we're gonna
shut them up.
Speaker 4 (10:13):
Now they not going to the college football player.
Speaker 5 (10:15):
If anybody in a Big twelve feels a certain type
of way about this ruling, y'all go beat Texas Tech,
Go beat them. Don't let them get to the college
football playoff. If that's how you feel, you're doing all
this yapping in the off season. So now when we
lay them up, we put them pads on. Do somebody
beat us?

If you beat us, we won't be in a college
football playoff. I just get what I don't like about
this plex is yes, I get what you're saying, rules
or rules. I do get that part about it. But
the NC double A has been cricket to me forever.
Like they want to enforce the rules that they want
to enforce, But when they know coaches forever been paying

pep under the table, they knew what was going on,
did they want to ban those coaches from coaching in
college football? Nah? They looked the other way. They looked
the other way, and now when it was free game
for everybody now to start paying players them coaches like, oh,
I'm gonna take my ball and go home now, I
don't want to coach no more. Oh I wonder why, okay,

now now that we all on the even playing field,
why you want to coach no more?

Why are you leaving?
Speaker 2 (11:28):
So now it's an even playing field moving forward with
these players in college sports to able to gamble with
no consequences.
Speaker 4 (11:42):
So are you saying that now the playing field is level? No,
I'm not saying.
Speaker 5 (11:48):
I'm not saying I don't agree with the fact that
he bet on his own team. It's too much integrity
issues that come with that. What I'm saying is what
I'm saying is the NCAA has been cricket for so
long and a player did something he wasn't supposed to do.

Give him a second chance. That's what I'm saying. It's
not like he's going to be allowed to play game one.
He has to sit and miss two games, and they
doing all this yapping about playing Texas the first game.
If I'm Texas, Oh listen, let's set this game up.

You're gonna buy my game out like you said, You're
gonna buy your game out like you Let's set it
up now. So that's one lost right there, Texas Tech gets.
Who lost is they're not going, so they could really
eliminate themselves, so to speak. But it's a young man.
He made a mistake. He knew he made a mistake.
He kept betting, and it was something that I would

hope he's going to learn from. But I just have
a problem when the NCAA really want to get in
here and.

DS are our rules.

And this is this, and this is that when when
we was playing, Ed O'Bannon came out them and everybody,
they made everybody think Ed or badman had lost his mind.

I know you remember that what you would.

Have done, because you wouldn't have been getting the money
guys getting out, but you would be getting one hundred grand,
one hundred and fifty. You know what you would have
done with that. And so and it's not just she
was so many players that would have benefited from nil
back when we were playing and before us that never
got this opportunity. And so now the ncuble that's why

they keep going to Congress because they want help. You
didn't want help when you was ripping the players off.
You didn't want to go to Congress to help the players,
But now you want Congress to help you. It's just
so two, face to me that they are doing this
now when for years, not for decades, they've been robbing
the kids blind and they had everybody believe it was
(13:51):
a student athleet.
Speaker 2 (13:53):
I understand what I was saying, But what does it
mean to these young men who were caught gambling in
the same situation, who are ineligible because of the fact.
How does that make them feel? And Number two, what
do you go moving forward when this comes up again?
Speaker 5 (14:13):
So I'll say this plex is Brandan Sowresby has to
be the example now for all the college athletes moving forward.
And what I mean in the reference to anybody that
wants to gamble in the future, because now it looks
(14:33):
like he's been giving a mulligan. Okay, he's been. He's
going to get a second chance. That's what it looks
like as of now. So his second chance is everybody's
second chance. Now you can't because I'm not saying I
agree with oh, Now next year a guy can go gamble,
gets suspended two games and they'll be eligible to play.
I don't want to keep having Pandora's box open up
(14:55):
and it's a case every year. What I'm saying is
this Brendan Sowerby's case is everybody's case in college football. Now,
this is your example. This is everybody's warning. Don't you
can't do it. And I believe that's what will happen
now moving forward because of all the attention that it's garnered.

Yeah, I agree with you. I agree with you to
that degree.
Speaker 2 (15:18):
But as far as I'm concerned, you know, wrong is wrong,
and the young man got caught, he got busted. And
I mean, did you really think that a judge in
Lovebook Texas would not rule in his favor? I mean,
(15:40):
the rightings on the wall is like, that's why he
that's why you fouled the appeal, you know, and this
basically the same city that that that that Texas Tech
is in.
Speaker 4 (15:51):
What did you think what's going what's going to happen? So?
Speaker 2 (15:55):
Uh, you know, I just you know, luckily for him,
he's going to be able to play, because this whole
thing had to be you know, done by I believe
it was June twenty second. If he was going to
have to you know, enroll into the NFL's supplemental drafts
or they're not moving up, they're not going to have

to do that. But I just think for him moving
forward next year going to the NFL Draft, how will
some of these NFL teams Antennas be up. You know
when it comes to do you want to draft this
young man because everything that's happened to him right now.

Well we'll see what happens Texas tex season. The big
twelve sores be how he plays this year with all
that is going on, we got to take a break.

So that's pretty much what it seems like and what
what what is your take on that and what surface
I may again we may be on different sides of this.
Did you prefer to playing on when you were playing.
Speaker 4 (18:56):
I prefer grass, obviously, I mean really.
Speaker 5 (19:00):
Let's talk about that for I'm not gonna I'm not
gonna lie to you, Plex. So obviously we came up
in the age of astro turf. You remember that, right,
That's the age me and Plex came up. Well, we
were like to tail end of that. We were to
tail end of the astro turf as they were going
to the field turf. Right, Yes, we were to tail
end of that. Yep, it's so me personally, Plex, I'm
(19:23):
not gonna lie. I guess because of the astro turf.
I didn't mind. I mean, yeah, the astro turf. I
didn't mind the field turf at all. Me personally, I
felt like Rangeleeder Snow. I was never slipping and if
I did slip, it was my fault because the technique
was bad on the route and I was lucky that
(19:46):
I didn't have injuries. So that and that could be why,
like any major injuries from the turf, and that that
could be why my my reasonings of what it is.
I just felt like I was getting in it out
of my break so easy on that turf and grass,
you know, playing in Cincinnati, playing in Pittsburgh.
Speaker 4 (20:07):
Just in that division.
Speaker 5 (20:08):
Oh you get to the end of the year, boy,
you taking four, five, six steps trying to get out
them curls and comebacks, because if you don't, you slipping
and falling. And so that's why me personally, I preferred
the field turf. And again I wasn't playing any work
when guys was tearing their knees up on that turf
up there, whatever kind of material they're using, their surface
(20:31):
and company they use. I do get that part of it.
But if you are going to put grass in for
these dudes to play soccer, ain't no weighing. Hell, you
not gonna put grass in for your own play. These
are your players that you've invested millions of dollars in
(20:53):
and not give them to me. It makes no sense.
But me, I would I'm cool with either one. But
it's a lot of the player, like yourself, prefer the grass.
Why wouldn't you get it to them? It's an investment
in your prayer makes no sense to me.
Speaker 2 (21:08):
One of the main reasons why you won't give them
the grass. It's simple. It's all based around money. They
saved millions of dollars in field and field maintenance every
year outside of the New York Giants, the New York Jets,
and the Los Angeles Charges and the Los Angeles Rams.
Speaker 4 (21:34):
I get it.
Speaker 2 (21:34):
I understand. I'm gonna tell you why. Because that grass
will be beat up by week eight because it's played
on every single weekend. I don't think any grass would
hold up if you put it in MetLife Stadium or
so far, because as much football that will be played
on that grass field, the field would be completely destroyed.
(21:58):
It's just too much for the take. And but on
the flip side of this, if you are I don't
love the Atlanta Falcons and you know, uh, you know
some of these teams that have turf and you don't
need it, I don't know why you would not, you know,
implement you know, grass into your stadium because obviously number
(22:19):
one is safer for the UH, it's safer for the players.
Players of the play on it. I love to play
on it, H versus field turf and UH. But when
you do see these this this grass going to this
UH in into these turf fields. It has to kind
of just as a slap across the face, you know,
to these players. And I've been in a sit I've
(22:42):
when I was here playing for the Giants. I come
into the stadium to to run stadiums one day in
the off season, and I come into this stadium and
the field turf that was on the field was was gone.
Do you know what was under the field turf? It's
(23:02):
a parking lot.
Speaker 4 (23:03):
Concrete, concrete. It had to it had it had the lines,
you know, in the line, had the lines on the field.
Speaker 2 (23:12):
And I'm saying to myself, I'm like, damn, I'm like,
it's really concrete underneath of this field turf. And that's
why I believe one of the reasons is, you know,
why did a lot of these guys are sustaining these
these catastrophic injuries, But because you have to realize that
this is concrete underneath of these turf fields.
Speaker 4 (23:36):
They're in the middle of a parking lot. What do
you think is under there? And what is it?
Speaker 2 (23:40):
I don't know, maybe a foot half a foot of
of rubber in between that and the concrete. And I
remember playing in Giants Stadium where some parts of the
stadium you would play in when it was cold, that
the frill that the field turf was frozen because the
(24:01):
ground is frozen underneath of us. You would be like, man,
you hit your head on this turf in some of
these col weather games and it feels like concrete. And
to just go back to what I was saying earlier,
I asked Woody Johnson about this when I was a
member of the JET.
Speaker 4 (24:18):
I said, why don't you guys have grass field?
Speaker 2 (24:23):
And you know what they said to me, Think about
all of these events that take place in these stadiums.
Speaker 4 (24:29):
They have the.
Speaker 2 (24:32):
Monster Truck Series, they have the motocross, they have all
of these concerts to where that's where they make their
money at Because all of those concerts and all those
events that they're having, the owners get that money. So
now if you take away that and you put grass
into these stadiums, they can't have these concerts and these
(24:55):
events because all it would do would just pack the
grass in and it would be destroyed. So they make
money on the flip side of it, and they save
money because there's no field maintenance. So the best thing
for some of these teams and owners to do is
to have field turfs so they can have these events
(25:16):
and put more money in their pocket. But me being
a player, I prefer to play on grass.
Speaker 4 (25:23):
Yeah, we all know it comes to it's gonna come
down the money. We all know that's what it is.
Speaker 5 (25:30):
But again, to me, if I'm investing in each team,
I'm assuming. I mean Patrick Mahon just got five hundred
million dollar contract extension just off him alone, or the
Chiefs play on grass, but it's about what about when
we go play on the road in this teammate. So
(25:52):
I don't I don't know what's gonna happen. I believe
eventually a change will be made. It's just take time
and we're gonna make a slight, little change to what
we're doing. We gotta talk to our boy, our main
man Illo. With these updates. As a Lauren Crime, what's

out of the NBA has multiple outlets reported a short
time ago, the Cleveland Cavaliers star James Harden was arrested
early this morning in Houston on a misdemeanor charge of
unlawfully carrying a weapon. Cops alleged that Harden had a
handgun in plain sight in his vehicle instead of it
being carried in a holster. He was released on bond.

Among the reactions from individuals on social media at this
news at GF team at list posting and I quote
self defense explanation not gonna work here, because we all
know Harden don't do defense, unquote any who. In the
World Cup on Friday night, Team USA defeated Paraguay four

placed out theater at Trent Grisham on the ten day
injured list with a strained right hamstring. And with that guy,
it's all yours, man.

Man, man hey, it's nothing like playing sports and all
the ebs and flows and ups and downs that come
with it. Now, ebbs and flows and ups and downs,
we know, I don't know. We would assume Baker Mayfield
that's happened some ebbs and flows and ups and downs.
Speaker 4 (28:23):
Because he won a contract extension.
Speaker 5 (28:27):
Baker has been basically playing on a great, team friendly
deal since he's been in Tampa, just about thirty million
a year, and the top of the market now is
what sixty four sixty.
Speaker 4 (28:42):
Five with Mahomes and so he had average cloths of
his emotions.
Speaker 5 (28:49):
Todd bow says he's not worried about Baker Mayfield's contract.
Speaker 4 (28:54):
If you are Todd bows would you be worried about it?

And what's your ideal per year that Baker you believe
it's fair for Baker Mayfield.
Speaker 2 (29:03):
If I'm Todd Bowles, I'm not worried about Baker Mayfield. Uh,
you know contract. It's becoming the franchise quarterback of this
football team. When Todd Bowsey's worried about making the playoffs,
because I don't think that if he does not make
the playoffs this year, that hey, we will not be
the head coach for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers moving forward,
that's number one. And for Baker Mayfield, you said that
(29:25):
he was he's been playing on a Tampa Bay friendly
deal since he got there. Well little last time that
I checked, Baker Mayfield wasn't necessarily light lighting it up
before he went to Tampa Bay Buccaneers. He was just,
you know, just kind of former former number one pick,
(29:49):
kind of you know, he made the playoffs one year
in Cleveland, kind of being like this journeyman quarterback trying
to find some footing, you know, this league, to show
that he can play at this level. You know, granted,
he has had a couple good seasons in Tampa Bay,
but you know, now, I think basically what the Tampa
(30:13):
Bay Buccaneers are saying is that I don't think that
they're willing to pay him fifty billion dollars a year.
Speaker 4 (30:18):
I really don't, because.
Speaker 2 (30:20):
If that was the case, we would not be having
this conversation about where they stand with Baker Mayfield. Is
he underpaid based off of some of the stats that
he has had in the last couple years, Yes, But
when you get to talking about the fifty million dollar
club of being a top ten quarterback, I don't think
(30:42):
he falls into that group. Of the elite quarterbacks in
this league who are earning you know, fifty plus million
dollars a year. So it's going to be, you know,
for me interesting to see how Tampa Bay moves on
with Baker Mayfield moving forward, because Baker has basically came
(31:03):
out and say, you know, I'm not going to be
in this football season worried about getting a new contract.
I'm I'm giving these guys until training camp to get
a to get a deal done. And I just don't
think that the Tima Bay Buccaneers are really ready to
(31:26):
jump out of the window and say, you know what,
we're gonna pay Baker Bacon Mayfield fifty fifty five plus
million dollars. You realize that there's no more Mike Evans.
He's been a thousand yard receiver ever since he put
the cleats on the walk on the field. You lose
Chris Godwin, so you lose two of your starting wide receivers.
How does Baker Mayfield, you know, overcome the departure of
(31:51):
two you know, prime time starting wide receivers. And what
does this season look like, you know, throwing the football?
So I think it's a lot of it's a few
questions that need to be answered, and obviously the O
the biggest one. You just got to go out and
perform and show everybody that you are one of these
elite quarterbacks that you just do deserve to be put
(32:13):
in that class of making fifty plus million dollars a year.
Speaker 5 (32:16):
To me, that that's the going rate, like a minimum
Baker should be at fifty. That's still going rate for quarterbacks.
Speaker 4 (32:24):
That's just what it is.
Speaker 5 (32:27):
Their value is through the roof. And I'm just a
firm believer in if that's what everybody's getting. Watching Baker
settle for anything less than that, and it's really crazy because,
as you so, if Tampa Bay doesn't give it to him,
what team somebody somebody are giving somebody a giving.
Speaker 4 (32:48):
Fifty a year.
Speaker 5 (32:49):
Because if you're giving, if you're paying a quarterback fifty
a year, you're saving money. You're nowhere near the top
of the market. You're just nowhere near the top of
the market now. And I don't I don't know who
is next up. I would assume it's gonna be CJ. Stroud.
If he has a great year, he's gonna go over sixty.
So you got all these young quarterbacks now that will
(33:11):
be coming. It's just gonna keep rising and rising and rising.
But I'm also a firm believer plex football is ultimate
team game. Because you just spoke of Mike Evans earlier.
If Mike Evans would have stayed healthy, the Bucks probably
make the playoffs.
Speaker 4 (33:26):
Baker Mayfield probably has a better year. Right, we would
agree with that. Right.
Speaker 5 (33:31):
And so receivers, Oh, you can just draft and get
any Nah, they matter so much. Receivers matter so much
because when a guy doesn't have help, oh man, he
just doesn't have a receiver on the outside that can win.
But as soon as you get that guy helps and
he starts playing well, you forget the year before you
just said he needed help. I mean, you look at
(33:51):
Bryce s Young in Carolina. He didn't have a number one.
Soon as teammate got there, Bryce Shank was like, oh,
Bryce Shung is turning the corner. Oh, I wonder why.
He had a really good receiver that was making place.
And so Baker Mayfield, somebody gonna give him money. You
look at the Pittsburgh Seeds. If they don't have a
great year and they're gonna have a good year, I
don't know if they have a great year to where
they'll be able to draft the Baker would fit right
(34:14):
in with the Steelers. He'd go slot right in there,
that quarterback. And so there's gonna be a service out
there for Baker Mayfield. And so the Bucks better be
careful because now they're gonna be on the market four quarterback. Yep,
here we go. We gotta find another quarterback because since
Baker's gone to town, but he's played well, now, he's not,
(34:36):
in my opinion, an upper echelon quarterback. No, but Baker
Mayfield is a quarterback one that that locker room follows.
He's the leader of men and he can play. I
get it, I understand. So if the time Bay Buccaneers
do not make the playoffs this season, what do you
think about Baker, you know, moving forward and being in
(35:01):
this group of fifty plus a million dollar a year.
Speaker 4 (35:03):
Quarterback regardless, regardless of garden, no play else.
Speaker 5 (35:06):
Yeah, this is what I would give Baker Mayfield per
year regardless. Forty seven to fifty one million a year.
That's my range. If I'm the Bucks, forty seven to
fifty one in that range, anything in that range. If
I'm the Buccaneers, I think it's fair for Baker. I
think it's fair for our team. So if we went
(35:28):
we went a four year one hundred and it's crazy
ninety two. I'm okay with that four year one ninety two.
About one hundred guaranteed, one hundred and twenty guaranteed. I mean,
it's crazy that you talk those numbers, right, but that's
what it should and will it probably will be. I
(35:49):
really could be these dudes agents man. I'll just be
up here coming up with numbers man as we on
here on the air, on up on Game Man just
giving them free game. Why not, Well, hey, we got

went from Tennessee to Philly, now Philly to New but
he's in that same role. You can relate to this
because you've been down in this path. How is it
forming that connection with that quarterback getting off to a
great start.

Well, first of all, I don't believe that he's going
to be, you know, having the same role as he
had in you know, Philadelphia now that he's in New England.
Speaker 4 (37:18):
Because he had a lot of help.
Speaker 2 (37:19):
You know, obviously two years ago, Sakuon Barkley had one
of the best years in a history with close to
two thousand yards and he also had a complimentary wide
receiver and DeVante Smith. So those kind of things, you know,
work together as in ball and chain. But now that
you are a member of the Patriots, you are the stone.
(37:42):
You are the number one option one a wide receiver
you know, on this new team. And I really don't
think it really matters right now that people are saying
that Drake May and AJ Brown having great chemistry early,
we want to see it play out on Sundays. That
is what everybody wants to see. So I really honestly
(38:03):
believe that him, he became a distraction in Philadelphia. I
mean you can even hear some of the tea teammates
come out and say, I'm just glad that it's over
with now that we can move on. A lot of
things are going on with a j and Jalen Hurts,
So they say relationship wise him, you know, pulling out
the book, reading a book on the sideline during a game,
(38:25):
which I've never seen before. But now that he is
in New England, is he going to become a dominant
number one wide receiver that can take over football games?
And I think it's going to be put on this play.
I think we can all we can agree that, you know,
(38:46):
he's not a guy that necessarily takes the top off
of defense because you know he doesn't have that you know,
speed de elage speed that some of the other wide
receivers have being able to separate. So what it's going
to be his role? Obviously they're going to force feed
him the football and for him, I'm happy for him,
But now he has to go out and show that.
(39:07):
You know, he has a lot more to offer to
this football team in Philadelphia. Is he going to have
one of those fourteen fifteen thousand yard seasons that is
yet to be seen. But now that he got what
he wanted he wanted out of Philadelphia, is he going
to move on to the Patriots with Drake may Mike
(39:28):
Rabel and this offense. And is he going to become
that elite number one wide receiver that basically is the
main reason why he wanted to be out of Philadelphia
because he didn't want to share the spotlight with Devontae Smith.
Is he going to be a dominant wide receiver that
the Patriots can lie on weekend and week out to
(39:50):
win those one on one battles when they need to
be won.
Speaker 4 (39:55):
Yeah. I feel like.
Speaker 5 (39:56):
Going to New England is going to be refreshing for him.
He's gonna get more, He'll get more looks. You gotta understand,
when he was with the Eagles, he was he started
off with a bang, like a bunch of targets, munch
of yards two years in a row. Than the last
two years, it hasn't been much at all. I believe
he's gonna do well in New England. I do believe

he's gonna be a number one. Josh McDaniel is gonna
make sure he gets his targets and looks.

I don't. I don't think it was I mucha share
the spotlight with DeVonta Smith.

Just give me some targets, bro, just throw me the ball.
Give me six, seven targets a game that that's not
hard to ask for. I believe he'll have success in
New England. But the time will tell and uh in
