Speaker 1 (00:07):
You're watching Vson's College Football Tailgate show right here on
VSIND the Sports Betty Network. We're here get your winners.

Speaker 2 (00:18):
We are on to hour two of the Vson College
Football Tailgate Show. Less than fifteen minutes from now, Matt
Humans college football handicapper, handicapper extraordinaire. He will join the
program give us his thoughts of week six. Chris Doring,
SEC Network analyst, coming up bottom of the hour. We
will also hear from our colleague here at Vson, who

(00:39):
will be on the sidelines today at Kyle Fields, Stormy
Bonatoni her thoughts on the game she will be covering today,
Texas A and M and Missouri, the only matchup between
top twenty five teams. We've got letdown spots to get to.
We'll take a visit to the Murray delicatessant some sandwich spots.
But first and foremost, let's take a look at the

(01:01):
latest line moves here as we are an hour away
from kickoffs across the country. And I know you were wondering, Hey, Tim,
what's the latest on the Yukon spread. Well, I'm glad
you asked. It is now out to twenty. Yukon is
a twenty point favorite again Temple. This has moved six
points from the open It was sixteen and a half earlier.
This week, money flooding in on the Huskies against those

(01:24):
dreadful owls. Not as dreadful as Kansas State, but those
dreadful owls of Temple. Army and Air Force excuse me,
Navy and Air Force is the first leg of the
Commander in Chiefs Trophy. However, Army getting money in the
market this morning. Army undefeated Black Knights. They are now
a fourteen point favorite over Tulsa. Line move in that one.

(01:47):
Clemson taking on Florida State, a game that many of
us thought, well, this is probably gonna be a good
one here to start up the season, or excuse me,
in early October. Not the case. Clemson now out to
a seventeen point favorite, not saying that is a foregone conclusion.
As brock Glenn not dj Ui Unglole gets to start
there in Tallahassee. I was seriously tempted of looking at

(02:09):
Florida State in this game. Yeah, I'm gonna have to
hold off on that one. In the last line move
we've noticed here this morning, as Tulane continues to get
money against UAB. They're now out to an eighteen and
a half point favorite. They opened the week under a
two touchdown favorite, and real quickly I did just notice
movement to double digits Ole Miss at South Carolina. Ole Miss.

(02:32):
The Rebels now a ten point favorite against South Carolina.
So a little bit of movement coming in as that
game gets back to double digits, all right, coming up
in less than fifteen minutes. Matt Newmans Chris Doring later
on this hour. But the big game of the day,
the only top twenty five showdown, Texas A and M

(02:52):
versus Missouri, Missouri number nine in the country. Texas A
and M number twenty five. Will hear from Stormy live
from Kyle Field later on in this hour. But you know,
a lot of people believe that Kyle Field EA Sports
believe Kyle Field was the most daunting environment to go to. Well,
Notre Dame walked in there week one as a dog

(03:14):
and one that came out right. Texas A and M
has now lost six straight games against ranked opponents. They
got a top ten team coming in here in Missouri.
Missouri's quarterback a gentleman by the name of Brady Cook,
and Brady Cook. He may not have been saying it,
but he kind of said it. Not that intimidated by

(03:35):
the atmosphere down in College Station.

Speaker 3 (03:38):
You know, in my opinion, the noise that practice is
actually louder. You know, they put these big speakers, you know,
pretty much two feet right behind me. I mean it's
it's I mean.

Speaker 4 (03:48):
He can't hear anything.

Speaker 5 (03:49):
It's is loud.

Speaker 3 (03:51):
You know in stadiums it's it's it's loud, but it's
it's like a surrounding, you know, kind of more distant loud.
So it's a little different. I think it's, you know,
just as loud or louder or tougher to communicate. So,
I mean, that's great work. We've been doing that every
single rep this week. So hopefully the offense and me
and Collison and the rest of the guys are feeling

(04:11):
good going into the first series.

Speaker 2 (04:15):
Is he calling him out or is he given kudos
to his coaching staff or a little bit of both.
I don't know. Coaches can find anything to get their
team motivated by. I think he's gonna be really loud.
And oh, by the way, Missouri, I know you're road
trip next week to McGirk Stadium. In Amhers Massachusetts, one

(04:37):
of the more bizarre games of the entire college football season.
You know that's going to be lively. But I bet
Texas A and M. That was the first bet I
bet this week minus one twenty on the money line.
I like Texas A and M. Here in this spot,
Marcel Reid, how about this unique story if you hadn't
heard it. Marcel Reid, who is likely going to be

(04:57):
the starting quarterback today for Texas A and M even
though Connor Wegman is going to dress dual threat athlete.
His sister is the assistant director of on campus recruiting
for Missouri and she was told, yeah, yeah, you can't
come to practice this week. Gotta love college football. You

(05:19):
can't make this stuff up. So Texas A and M
Missouri the only game between top twenty five teams this week.
Definitely not a letdown spot for either one of these teams.
Missouri coming off of a bye week. Texas A and
M beat Arkansas in a close game, but this is
a big one at home. Let's get to some possible
letdown spots. We'll run through these four today. So what
happened last week? Does it affect these teams? Heading into

(05:41):
this week. I noted five, so let's run through them
real quickly. Virginia Tech, they're on the road at Stanford.
They had their guts ripped out when they believe they
had beaten Miami last week and they went to replay.
They said, no, no, it is overturned. My question about

(06:02):
Virginia Tech, who is now two and three, certainly off
to a disappointing start to the season, My question is
how are they going to get off the mat in
a very quiet environment there in Palo alto kickoff twelve
thirty local. I bet Stanford first half in full game split.

(06:26):
My unit took four and a half took eight. Stanford
will be I believe on our third string quarterback, Justin Lampson,
who is a athletic guy. We saw him against Clemson
last week. Miami. I don't know if this is a
leftdown spot college game day is there. It's a weird
travel situation, and I know a lot of people have

(06:46):
taken the candy with Cal and I understand it. We've
gone through the history of Justin Wilcox versus Mario Christibal
Cal versus Oregon. Justin Wilcox three on one ats against
Mario Cristobal three straight covers. As you say on that graphic.
For those of you watching with us, I kind of
wish that Miami dominated Virginia Tech, because then maybe we're

(07:11):
getting fourteen thirteen fourteen. Maybe it's a little bit more
of a sleepy spot. I wonder if their wake up
call came last week. Alabama, this is the leftdown spot
of the weekend. But can you trust Vanderbilt? That is
a question that we have posed many times as betters.

(07:31):
Eighty five percent of the action of the Ticke account,
I should say at stations courtesy of Chuck Esposito in
the first hout of the program on Alabama, I get it.
I'm gonna end up on Vanderbilt. At a principle, you
gotta take the doors here. It's not a home field environment.
They're probably more Alabama fans there. But you just beat

(07:53):
Georgia in a heavyweight battle. Dominated the first half, lost
the lead, came back, got to win. Jalen Milrose now
the favorite to win the Heisman Trophy. Diego Pavia, He's
my Heisman winner. My man just covers. Whether it was
New Mexico State, whether it's now at Vanderbilt. Double digit
dog Week one against Virginia Tech outright winner, three touchdown

(08:16):
dog in Colombia against Missouri overtime. Do it for me
one more time, diego get us home north of three touchdowns.
I wanted twenty four. I don't think we're going to
get that.

Speaker 5 (08:28):
All right.

Speaker 2 (08:28):
Another one that's pretty interesting to meet Duke. All right,
full disclosure on the Vson College football betting podcast. Over
the summer, one of my best bets in the futures
market was Duke under two and a half ACC wins.
They got their first ACC win last week. It was
not fun. Manny Diaz in company down twenty to nothing
at halftime, came back to beat UNC twenty one to twenty.

(08:52):
They got to paint the victory bell. I think Duke's
bunch of frauds. For a football standpoint, I'll talk about
the basketball team. Cooper flag you the man. I think
this is a weird spot. Georgia Tech off a bye
five and oh Duke, yet they're catching nine and a half. Well,
let's look at that five wins. Northwestern very fortunate to

(09:12):
win in overtime, slip past Yukon, Yukon, maybe a wagon.
Public's bettingham today Middle Tennessee and Elon and then beat UNC.
Last week. I like Georgia Tech. I laid it with
Georgia Tech, but we'll get to how I ultimately bet
this for official best bet. Lastly, Arizona Texas Tech late
night game, Arizona coming off of a big win last

(09:36):
week against Utah up in Salt Lake City. I really
want to get on Texas Tech here, but I don't
know if I could get there just yet. TBD on
that one. That's a late night game eleven pm Eastern
on Fox, Arizona hosting Texas Tech. All right, who's hungry?
I'm always hungry. Let's head to the deli for some
sandwich spots. I went to the gym this morning. I

(09:58):
hit the twenty five pound dumbbells a couple times to
get those those guns ready to go. Look at all
that fresh bread back there. Looks good sandwich spots this week.
I think the number one sandwich spot is USC at
the Gophers of Minnesota. USC two weeks ago went to
ann Arbor. Should have won, didn't lost twenty seven to

(10:22):
twenty four. Make a tackle on the whole they did not.
They come back home, they're down twenty one to ten
to Wisconsin, they come all the way back, they win,
they cover the sixteen point spread. Now you're back at Minnesota.
Next week you play Penn State. I think it's a
real tricky spot for USC. Give me the candy with
the Gophers plus eight and a half, plus nine, whatever's
out there. Hell, if we can get to ten, I

(10:43):
don't think we will. I will take Minnesota night game
there in the Twin Cities. Minnesota, by the way, screwed
last week by the Big Ten refereeing crew on that
on site's kick. They should have had it, should have
had an opportunity to go win the game. Ohio State
Iowa pros versus Joe's Ohio State. Next week gets Oregon.
And then lastly, I can't do it. I know I

(11:07):
probably should look to grab the points with UCLA. I
can't do it. That team is bad, bad, bad bad
Ethan Garber's game time decision there for UCLA Penn State.
Jimmy Franklin knows the number. So I'm gonna stay away
from that one. But the sandwich spot du jore today
at the Murray Delicate Testant. Gimme Minnesota catching the points

(11:27):
against USC Trojans. Maybe Oh, what's that show down with
Penn State next week? Be ready those Gophers they like
to row the boat Sky.

Speaker 5 (11:38):
You ma give me.

Speaker 2 (11:40):
Minnesota plus the points. Matt Humans is that game on
his card? We run through his favorite bets of week
six next right here on the v SIN College Football
Tailgate Show.

Speaker 1 (12:01):
You're watching Vson's College Football Tailgate Show right here on
v send the Sports Betty Network where here get your winners.

Speaker 2 (12:10):
Forty five minutes away from kickoff of the noon slate.
The biggest game of the day, at least per the rankings,
would be Missouri and Texas A and M. We do
have a rematch of last year's national championship, Washington hosting
Michigan later on this evening. I'm Tim Murray here in
Las Vegas, getting you ready each and every Saturday with
the VSON College Football Tailgate Show. Chris Doring, former Florida

(12:33):
Wide Receiver SEC Network analyst, coming up in less than
fifteen minutes here from Stormy Bona TONI live from Kyle
Field down at Texas A and M in thirty minutes.
But right now, let's head to the Progressive guest line.
Welcome in my partner in crime. On both Vson Primetime,
which you can hear seven to eleven pm Eastern time weekdays,
as well as the Vson College Football betting podcast. It

(12:56):
is Matt Humans. Matt, you had a nice little victory
last night as Jonathan Smith kicks a late field goal.
I know you took the twenty four, so instead of
a push, you got the win. So hopefully it's a
good omen for the day ahead. And I want to
start out in the Pacific Northwest with Washington taking on Michigan.
This is a common play that you and I have

(13:17):
and there seems to be a little bit of resistance
out there. And while we were recording the podcast, there
was a tout service who gave out Michigan walk us
through Washington hosting Michigan this evening, seven thirty Eastern on NBC,
And what side do you like here?

Speaker 5 (13:34):
I liked Washington side. And I've had this game circle
for a few weeks. You know, once you start to
see Michigan's into the passing attack and you're looking at
this team playing five straight home games. Okay, who're the
Wolverines going to play when they go on the road
And Washington is the first road trip and Seattle happens

(13:55):
to be a pretty strong home field. By the way,
for the Huskies, alex Orgy, since you got promote, the
starting quarterback threw for thirty two yards against USC and
eighty six yards against Minnesota. The passing game is so
bad it's comical, and when you have such a one
dimensional offense, I think Washington should have a pretty good

(14:15):
idea of what's coming and be able to stop it. Now. Again,
this is a Washington team with outgame Rutgers by two
hundred and twenty two yards on the road a week ago.
I just think the advantage of quarterback is big for
the Huskies. Will Rogers veteran seventy five percent completions, ten touchdowns,
no picks, alex Orgy can't throw the ball. A lot

(14:39):
of things are pointing here to the Huskies. And I
know there's a sharp group out of Canada that we
released to play on Michigan. But again, Tim, this is
a first road game for the Wolverines. I think this
number ten ranking is based mostly reputation and what the
Michigan team did a year ago. And again, five straight

(15:00):
home games Fresno, Arkansas State, Texas, USC, and Minnesota. Three
of those pretty weak teams with wil Greens beat, I've
got to go with Washington here. I can't wait to
see what the Huskies do to screw this up, because
I really think Washington's the right side.

Speaker 2 (15:16):
Yeah yeah, I'm thinking of the same way I laid
money line with Washington earlier this week. And you can
get a better number now at DraftKings. You can go
as low as minus one eighteen on the money line
on Washington. I'm with you. Common play you and I
have is Washington. Four entries last night in the Circa
Friday Football Invitational used Washington, including Steve Fesick, Christmasserro and

(15:39):
Brett McMurphy. So four entries in your contest, which, of
course you can get all of those bets in your
email as a VS Pro subscriber. All right, Matt, let's
stay out. West College Game Day is out in Berkeley today,
first time ever. Cal is hosting Miami, and we've talked

(16:01):
about it a bunch here on this show. Justin Wilcox
versus Mario Cristobal, that head to head showdown when Wilcox
was at Oregon. You are attempted to take Cal here.
I know on the podcast. I don't think you had
bet it just yet, and the market is coming in
a little bit. There still are tens, but the hooks
have been scooped up, and there are even some nine
and a half starting to show out there in the market.

(16:23):
So Miami at Cal late night, seven thirty Pacific, ten
thirty Eastern start time.

Speaker 5 (16:30):
Oh yeah, I took Cal. I took to ten and
a half. And I should have pulled the trigger two
days ago when I was looking at the Circa app
and they actually went up to eleven and a half,
and I thought, well, that's a bad sign because of
a sharp book like Circus the numbers going up, I mean,
some really sharp money's coming to Miami. Well the number
dropped back down to ten and a half, and yeah,
I took that with the Golden Bears last night again

(16:54):
HURR teams hit the road for night game in Berkeley,
where it's going to be a tricky test. I think
that justin Wilcox one of the better defensive coaches in
the country, and he didn't get a lot of credit
for it, but he is, and he's had a bye
week to prepare for this game. And he knows cam
Ward too, because Ward was at Washington State and Cal

(17:17):
beat Washington State forty two to thirty nine last year. Now,
he didn't exactly shut down that cam Ward led offense
for the Cougars last year, but Justin Wilcox knows what
he's up against here, and if you look at the
numbers for the Cal defense this season, very impressive. I
know the Auburn and Florida State San Diego State is
pretty bad offensive teams, and this is a different animal

(17:39):
you're facing here in the Hurricanes with cam Ward who
has eighteen touchdown passes them five games, but Cal's three
and one our game Florida State four ten to two
eighty four on the road and the only loss, I
think Fernando Mendoza, even though the numbers are not that impressive,
is a quarterback who's good enough. The running game's got
to be the engine for the Cal offense here with Jayden,

(18:01):
not JB and Thomas, guys who can move the ball
on the ground against this Miami defense. You know, it
might be a case that the Hurricanes just have too
much offensive firepower, but I'm going to go with the
coaching edge here with Justin Wilcox's defense in a week
to prep and I think the Colden Bears can hang
tough here if not pull off the upset.

Speaker 2 (18:21):
Is the late night game ten thirty Eastern games that
you and I Matt love to bet to wrap up
the day cal plus the points for you, We're talking
to Matt Humans at Matt Humans two four to seven.
Check out his best bets article up on vson dot com. Also,
take a listen and subscribe to the Vson College Football
betting podcast. Matt and I broke down the whole week
six card there earlier this week, and a common play

(18:43):
again for you and I was Minnesota. I just talked
about this game. The Gophers are hosting USC today in
a pretty tricky spot in my opinion for USC, coming
off of you know, two straight games at Michigan home
to Wisconsin. Next week they play Penn State. Minnesota showed
some fight, battled all the way back, really should have
had an opportunity to go win the game against Michigan,

(19:06):
but a bad call turned to overturned a on sides kick.
So right now in the market circusits USC eight eight
and a half would be the consensus number. The Westgates
Super BOWLK has actually gone to a nine. What do
you see tonight in the Twin Cities USC at Minnesota.

Speaker 5 (19:23):
Matt Well, you know you talked about the game last week.
Minnesota's rally came up short against Michigan with some help
from the officials. But what I saw there two in
the second half was that I thought, because Michigan's offense
is so one dimensional, it's defense started to wear down
on the flip side, the Gophers really showing some fight,

(19:43):
and I think that's what you're going to see here.
PGA Flex teams typically do fight in the home dog role,
and I think that'll be the case here. That game
against Iowa got out of hand a couple of weeks
ago in the second half, but I think the Gopher
is going to hang in here. Miller ma Us has
been pretty good at quarterbacks so far for USC. Youah

(20:04):
Woody marks at running back Jakobe Lane and Zach Riot
Brant Scaraby, because those are two big time wide receivers.
Minnesota's got to be able to hold contain those guys
in the secondary. But if you look at the Minnesota
defense so far, I think the numbers are pretty impressive.
This defense is not a pushover. Gophers are probably good
enough offensively, just to hang in there, give themselves a

(20:25):
shot in the fourth quarter. Max Prosper there's no superstar,
but he's improving. At quarterback. Darius Taylor is one of
the better running backs in the Big Ten. And hey,
let's face the USC is getting pushed around by Wisconsin
last week for two quarters and into early in the
third quarter. Five minutes into the third, Wisconsin had to

(20:46):
lead twenty one to ten. They fumble a punt, they
throw a eight pick six, and it looks like a
blowout in favor of USC. That was not really the
case if you watch that game. So I think you
know it's a sandwich spot to ten because USC opt
that game at Michigan and then they're home last week
against Wisconsin. Now they go to Minnesota for a road game.

(21:08):
They're asked to cover a significant number here and guess
who's on deck Penn State at the coliseum next week.
So this might be a spot that the Trojans zero
passed a little bit.

Speaker 2 (21:19):
Yeah, it was the special today at the Murray Delicatessen.
USC laying this number in a sandwich spot. So give
me the Gophers, all right, before we let you run, Matt,
let's go back out to the Bay Area, Stanford hosting
Virginia Tech. I know Stanford's got some issues at the
quarterback position with injuries, but you and I both think

(21:39):
this is a really tricky spot for the Hokies. So
final minute, Virginia Tech at Stanford Cardinal catching are laying
no excuse me catching eight against Virginia Tech.

Speaker 5 (21:50):
Here, Well lay in eight. I'm not playing for Stanford.

Speaker 2 (21:53):
Yeah, me neither.

Speaker 5 (21:57):
You know. I wonder if a Virginia Tech ground attack
is too much for Stanford to stop here, that's going
to be the key to the game. But we're not
sure who's going to be a quarterback with for Stanford.
Ashton Daniels has a lower body injury, Justin Lampson, though
I think it's a capable backup. It's gonna be It's
gonna come down to Stanford's ability to run the ball

(22:17):
and stop the run. And Troy Taylor as a coach.
I really like, don't forget the Cardinal went to Syracuse
and upset the Orange on the road a couple of
weeks ago, and if you watch Syracuse, I sorry, that's
not a bad team. I think Stanford's live dog here
catching me. I'm with you.

Speaker 2 (22:33):
Took the points in the first half and the full game.
Matt always appreciate it. Man, enjoy the Saturday.

Speaker 5 (22:39):
Okay you Matt, thank you too.

Speaker 2 (22:40):
There he is our colleague here at VSIN, my co
host on VSON Primetime as well as the VSON College
Football betting podcast. Matt humans the SEC. It's always busy,
Chris Doring, he joins us.

Speaker 1 (22:52):
Next, you're watching Vson's college football tailgate shows right here
on v SID the Sports Betty Network. Where here to
get your winners.

Speaker 2 (23:10):
Getting you ready for Week six of the college football season. Yes,
it did start on Thursday. Dogs were barking last night
three and one against this spread here in Las Vegas.
A thriller as Syracuse comes out and beats UNLV in
overtime forty four to forty one. Coming up top of
the hour, we'll get you all set for those noon

(23:30):
Eastern games Texas A and M Missouri. Stormy Bontoni on
the sidelines, we'll hear from her in fifteen minutes before
we get to our guests. Quick note here. Grayson McCall,
the Coastal Carolina transfer now at NC State, has not
been a great start to his NC State tenure. Has
missed the last couple of games due to injury. He
is expected to start. He was taking warm up snaps

(23:53):
with starting centers Zeke Correll so NC State a four
point home favored against wake Forest, that game kicking off
at noon Eastern time. Grace and McCall will get to start,
according to reports. All right, let's add to our progressive
guest line and welcome in a former Florida Wide receiver
now an analyst for the SEC network. Chris Doring, joins
us on our progressive guest line. And Chris, we've only

(24:15):
got one showdown between top twenty five teams on this Saturday,
and it's Missouri heading on the road to Texas, A
and M first road test for the Tigers. What do
you expect to see in about thirty minutes down in
College Station.

Speaker 4 (24:29):
Let me start by clarifying something real quick. You were
only highlighting the fact that there were two ranked on
ranked teams playing one another today, only one ranked on
ranked game. This is a stinky good schedule in the SEC,
though there are a lot of pitfalls. Today, we have
three ranked teams that are going on the road against
unranked opponents, and I guarantee you at least one of

(24:52):
those is going to lose outright, if not more than that.
And I think in Missouri being the number nine team
in the poll going on the road A and M,
it is a little bit of a fishy line with
A and M being favored, But I honestly believe that
that A and M is the better football team right now.
And I was high on Missouri in the offseason. I
had them as one of my college football playoff teams.

(25:13):
I just have been a little disappointed with the way
that they've they've played, particularly on the offensive side. Now defensively,
they've done a nice job. Had to replace defensive coordinator
Blake Baker, and they certainly have not missed a beat
to this point. I do think they're a little untested.
This will be the first road test that they'll face
as they go on the road to play against the
Texas A and N team. But I think has really

(25:35):
taken on the persona of their coach, Mike Elko.

Speaker 5 (25:38):
Defensive minded guy.

Speaker 4 (25:40):
Brought physicality to A and M when he was there
as a defensive coordinator under Jimbo Fisher. They've got the
run game going right now. Le'Veon Moss, one of the
top rushers in the conference, and it'll be interesting to
see who they end up going with at the quarterback spot. Today,
Marcel Reid is one of the last three ball games
as the starter, but Connor Wegman supposedly is helping. I
do think the offense has been tweaked a bit to

(26:01):
fit what Marshall Reed does well, which includes running the
football a little bit better than Connor Wegman. So I
like Texas A and M in this ball game, but
I do think there are some interesting storylines and matchups
within the matchups seper iron.

Speaker 2 (26:13):
Oh there's no doubt. And I opened the show that way,
Chris saying, Hey, these are the Saturdays that we live
for as college football fans, because these ones are the
ones that get the wackiest. And you've got eight of
the top fifteen teams in the country on the road.
I'm with you. I like Texas A and M here
in this spot. One of my first bets of the week.
So let's get to one of those road games. We
haven't really hit on it. Tennessee at Arkansas. Woopig Suey.

(26:36):
They're gonna be calling the Hogs tonight, ABC Primetime, seven
thirty Eastern Time and Tennessee. Look, give him all the
credit in the world. I tried to get in front
of that train two weeks ago, Chris, I was wrong.
I took the points with Oklahoma. Right now, Tennessee a
two touchdown favorite on the road at Arkansas. Can kJ?

(26:57):
Can this Arkansas team? I almost sai kJ Jefferson, he's
now taking on you. He's taken on your alma mater
today with UCF but Ken Arkansas and Bobby Petrino dialing
up the plays. Can they keep this thing close against
Tennessee tonight?

Speaker 4 (27:10):
Yeah? I think some interesting statistics that I looked at
this week. First and foremost. You know, we're praising Nico
Iamalaiava and this offense for Tennessee, and they certainly do
deserve to be played praise. But who they played defensively?
In terms of total defense statistics, they haven't faced a
top forty defense yet in Oklahoma. I consider them to

(27:31):
be a really good defense, but statistically they're forty eighth
as it relates to total defense on the season thus far.
So I do think there are things that need to
be answered by Tennessee. I also think that there is
a unique challenge in Taylor Green, as you mentioned being
the quarterback at Arkansas now, he brings a dynamic of
being able to elude the rush to extend plays. And
one of the questions we had about Tennessee this year

(27:53):
was how good would their secondary be. The defensive front
for Tennessee has been tremendous, probably over exceeded the hype
of the offseason. They've been able to maybe cover up
some of the questions in the secondary with their past
rush ability. Taylor Green is going to extend plays. The
offensive line for Arkansas is not great, but he does
bring that running ability that you saw something up with
Michael Hawkins when they inserted him in the Oklahoma game

(28:16):
a couple of weeks back. So I think the defense
for Tennessee gets tested today in the secondary. Actually, I'm
so tempted to take Arkansas to win outright, but I
believe Tennessee probably wins, but too many points in my
book to be able to take them as the big favorite.
So give me the folks from Fanville and what I

(28:37):
think is going to be a really nice home field
advantage for the dogs of that.

Speaker 2 (28:40):
Yeah, that is one game I have not bet yet,
but I think ultimately I'll probably get to the window
and what could go wrong going against Tennessee. Yet again,
I was able to stay off at least for the
NC State game. Chris Doring joining us here on our
progressive guest line, former Florida wide receiver now with the
SEC networking. Catch him all day long on the SEC
network breaking down as he mentioned, a very intriguing card.

(29:02):
So I love letdown spots. I think it is a
thing in college football. You could point right to Notre
Dame earlier this year beats A and M loses in
Northern Illinois as a four touchdown favorite. So Alabama, you
beat the big boy in Georgia. You threw some haymakers early,
and then you lost the lead, and then you get
to win. You're going to Vanderbilt. It's going to be

(29:24):
a decent environment. I imagine plenty of Alabama fans there.
Chris Diego Pavia gives this team just a unique wrinkle.
They're north of a three touchdown favorite. Can Vanderbilt? Can
the doors catch a maybe a little fat and happy
Alabama this afternoon and keep this thing close?

Speaker 5 (29:43):
Yeah?

Speaker 4 (29:43):
First and foremost, Diego Pavia, you mentioned I mean this dude,
not only brings a wrinkle, but he brings a little
bit of an attitude to Vandy that they haven't had
in a long time. I really love watching this guys play.
And you also mentioned the three touchdown favorite that Alabama's
been a Bablos has seems like it should be more
than that, doesn't it. I mean that seems a little

(30:03):
fishy in and of itself, but I do think there
are some unique dynamics that you mentioned, And to me,
it's not really about Alabama versus Bandy today. It's Alabama
versus Alabama. How do they handle success? How do they
handle a potential trap game. You've seen the rat traps
that they've laid around the facility there in Tuscaloosa. But
I really do believe that when you go to Nashville
to play bandy, it's a unique challenge. I've played there

(30:26):
twice as as a college player, that they don't have
the juice that you typically play it in the SEC.
You got to bring your own kind of excitement and enthusiasm.
You're in a smaller locker room. So there are some
inherent challenges that I think Alabama, who's still trying to
figure out who they are under a new head coach
is going to face today, and so I really think
it's more about their focus. I think they obviously win

(30:48):
the game, but I do think it could be a
little closer than maybe what a lot of people are thinking.

Speaker 2 (30:53):
Three thirty Eastern on at ESPN, South Carolina is hosting
Ole Miss, and Ole Miss run you through these numbers.
Seven seventy two, six fifty five, six forty nine, six
oh seven. Those are total yardage numbers. First four weeks
against Furman Wake, Georgia, Southern Middle Tennessee. They go up
in Classic Kentucky last week, Chris, and they only have

(31:16):
three hundred and fifty three yards and they get upset
by Big Blue Nation. If they had won that game,
I would be all over South Carolina here. But I
do wonder if you've got a mad Old Miss squad,
what do you make of this Old Miss South Carolina game?
Game Cocks coming off of bye here and as we
saw against lsu uh and we saw against Kentucky South Carolina, man,

(31:39):
they got some fight in them.

Speaker 4 (31:41):
I don't care how mad you are. If you don't
have toughness, it doesn't matter. That's the question I have
about old myths. Are they tough enough. Are they physically
tough enough? Are they mentally tough enough to go on
the road and handle this situation? It's going to be
a Rockets environment. I wish it was a night game
to see what will Willie Brice would be like there
under the lights. But I do think that ole Miss

(32:02):
has some questions to answer. They were one of ten
on third down last week, and that largely started with
the offensive line. They gave up four sacks to Kentucky,
a very good defense as a whole, as Link Kiffen
talked about this week. But I also think they haven't
been able to run the football very well. Less than
one hundred yards rushing, and that's impactful in a couple
of ways. You don't have the explosive runs. And everybody

(32:23):
thinks ole Miss is a passing offense, but it's really
predicated on running the football first and foremost. So they
didn't have the explosive plays, only four runs of over
ten yards or more. And then you look at what
that does. When you're not running the ball in first
and second down very well, it leaves you in third
and long situations.

Speaker 5 (32:38):
And of those ten.

Speaker 4 (32:39):
Third downs, they average third and seven to game which
is not an ideal favorable situation for an offense. So
they got that offensive line has to show me something
today against Kyle Kinard and Dylan Stewart and talk to
Hemingway and the rest of that front that they'll face
for South Carolina. I think it's going to be a challenge.
I do think Ole miss wins the game, but it
is not going to be one of these blowouts where

(33:00):
you see a double digit win in favor of the Revs.

Speaker 2 (33:03):
He is Chris Doring. You can catch him all day
long on the SEC network, former Florida wide receiver, real
quick ten seconds. Do the Gators get it done against
the Knights today?

Speaker 4 (33:12):
They do high scoring game. Graham merch is the MVP
of the night.

Speaker 5 (33:16):
There.

Speaker 2 (33:16):
He is Chris Doring. Appreciate it, Chris, Thank you guys.
Interesting news apparently coming out of Texas A and M.
We have been wondering who their starting quarterback will be,
and we're going to have that answer for you on
the other side, Texas A and M and Missouri coming
up at noon Eastern time. Will it be Connor Wegman

(33:37):
or will it be Marcel Reid as the starter? Will
get that answer for you. They give you final thoughts
on all the noon games right here on v sids

jumping on the show, giving us his thoughts on the
SEC and boy, I don't know if you was hoping
for just an eventful day there at the SEC network desk.
But he likes some dogs. He likes some stinky dogs.

(35:16):
I like it. I like Chris rolling with those. Some
of the plays that I'm looking to bet haven't bet
Arkansas yet, but I think I ultimately will get to
the window. Coming up at noon Eastern, a full slate
of games will get underway, none bigger than Missouri and
Texas A and M. The intrigue, the curiosity continues to
grow regarding who will be the starting quarterback for A

(35:37):
and M. Will it be Connor Wiegman or will it
be Marcel red Well. Stormy Bonatni our own host here
at Vson. You can catch her tomorrow on the Vsin
Pro Football Tailgate show. She is on the sidelines today
for this big time showdown on ABC, and she gave
us a little snippet just moments ago live from Kyle Field.

(36:00):
Here is our own story, bonnot Tony down in College Station.

Speaker 6 (36:05):
We are game ready at Kyle Field or Texas A
and M and Missouri.

Speaker 2 (36:09):
Getting said to go head to head.

Speaker 6 (36:12):
Still no confirmation one way or the other on Texas
A and M quarterback Cornerwick. Then who is a true
game time decision today? Hopefully I'll get confirmation from mi
elcho in just a little bin when we talked to
him yesterday said it's truly fifty to fifty that he
was the first full week of practice that he had
under his belt and suffering his older injury a couple
of weeks ago the last couple of times, and he

(36:32):
was a game time decision.

Speaker 7 (36:34):
He didn't dress today, he will, so if he is
healthy enough to go, he will start. And if he's
not healthy enough, he will still be dressed on the
sideline and available in an if necessary situation if not.

Speaker 6 (36:45):
As Marcel Reen want again his three and zero as
a starter.

Speaker 2 (36:48):
They feel very confident in him.

Speaker 7 (36:50):
But it's an offensive struggled with cadigal.

Speaker 6 (36:52):
Missouri too has struggled with explosive blade struggle getting.

Speaker 2 (36:55):
Touchdown when it comes to the red zone.

Speaker 6 (36:58):
So my thought for this game from betting perspective, Obviously
I can't make a pick, but I think about a
couple of offenses that have struggled to get those exclusives
that do have really stout defenses. I'm excited to see
export who I think is probably the best Invents event
in all of college football. At this point, you're on
the field for Texas A and M. Judy defences be
really good teas. They're going to want to establish the run.

(37:20):
Probably lower scoring is where my gut tells me here,
but this is going to be a fun one.

Speaker 2 (37:25):
Brady Coach called this a roving game. Talking about coaches.

Speaker 6 (37:29):
This is a hinge be for both squads, calledge football
playoff potential.

Speaker 7 (37:33):
Get ready, Buckle up, ABC, tune in eleventh Central time.

Speaker 6 (37:38):
You're get ready to go and Vegas, guys, miss you there.

Speaker 2 (37:43):
She is story about a Tony live from Kyle Field,
and she'll be on the call there of Texas A
and M and Missouri Joe Tessitur we'll be on the
play by play for that game. So here's the latest
and Stormy recorded that video just moments ago down there
at Kyle Field. As you can hear, the music was

(38:03):
piping in. Marcel Reid and Connor Weekman both announced as
the starter on the video board at Kyle Field. Okay,
how about on the radio network, we have this tweet
that just came across a little while ago. According to
the Texas A and M radio network, Connor Weigman will

(38:27):
start at quarterback this morning against Missouri. He's been injured.
Marcel Reid has been playing Weekman also expected to get
the start. So there you go. Do we see both?
That would be my hunch, we see both quarterbacks. I
hate two quarterback systems. I am in on Texas A
and M. I'm not going to get off that bet

(38:47):
right now. The market tells us that Texas A and M.
I guess would be the right side. Is that three
hasn't come off the three. It's three even money right
now here at CIRCA. So Texas A and M was
an official play for me earlier this week on the
money line still would roll that way, but a lot
of curiosity regarding that quarterback position total, as Stormy alluded to,

(39:08):
has come down. This one sits at forty seven, which
is a key number. Open forty nine and a half
sop two and a half point moved to the under
and thanks to Stormy. Really appreciate the insight there from
the sidelines. All right, I want to get to this
because Navy is taken on air Force coming up top
of the hour, first leg of the Commander in Chiefs Trophy.
Air Force is catching ten chuck check esposito, excuse me

(39:33):
from station's casino. Let us know that the most lopsided
ticke account they are having so far this morning, ninety
four percent of the bets on Navy against Air Force.
Navy is laying ten against the falcons of air Force.
I wanted to point this out. Army and Navy, ladies
and gentlemen, are both four and oh. Now in different

(39:57):
years they've gotten off to four and oh starts together
Army and Navy. The last time both of them were
four and zero nineteen forty five, a year in which
Army went on to win the national championship. So producer

(40:18):
Dustin put together a little what was the world like
in nineteen forty five? Well, the World War two came
to a close, Harry Truman became our president, and I
think Derek Stevens, owner and CEO of Circa and Circus Sports,
a Detroit native, would be very happy to know that

(40:39):
his beloved Detroit Tigers, who start the Alds today against
the Cleveland Guardians, they were the World Series champions back
in nineteen forty five, Army taking on Tulsa today, where
they are a fourteen point favorite and one of the
number of games there in that noon window. So it's

(41:01):
been a little while here and things certainly could get weird.
There is a possibility Army and Navy could play in
back to back weeks this year. The AAC Championship is
on December seventh and the Army Navy game is December fourteenth,
if they are play, if they are the two best
teams in the AAC, they could play each other at

(41:24):
one of their on one of their campuses December seventh,
and then they'll go to Washington, d C. Or Landover
if you want to be specific about a Home of
the Commanders and play the Army Navy game there. So
fun one both of those teams kicking off at noon Eastern.
Let's run through some of the new and Eastern games,
including UCLA at Penn State. This game, we are anticipating

(41:45):
no Ethan Garbers. That is being reported now that Ethan
Garber's will not be the starter for UCLA as he
is dealing with an injury. So UCLA will likely be
turning to Justin Martinet to the start. Here. Look at
that number, UCLA catching thirty my goodness, gracious, we talked
about this as a possible look ahead spot for Penn State.

(42:08):
I can't do it. I can't get there. Number continues
to rise now that the news is out that Ethan
Garber's will not start that game starting at noon Eastern.
Also at noon Eastern, SMU at Louisville. Louisville is one
of my best bets, not from a point spread perspective,
but I added them in a money line parlay with

(42:29):
Georgia Tech to lower that juice a little bit. I
mentioned I like Georgia Tech a lot, thought Duke was
in a bit of a letdown spot. That's a night game.
But I made a little acc moneyline parlay here Georgia
Tech with Louisville Earlier this week. I liked what I
saw from Louisville against Notre Dame, albeit in a loss.
I think they got some true playmakers out there, and
it feels like SMU may be puffing out their chest

(42:51):
a little bit after that performance last weekend. But I
like Jeff Brohm and company to take care of business.
I don't want to lay the six and a half.
That's kind of bounce back fourth. By the way, full disclosure.
Brad Powers on his weekly visit with US on vs.
In Primetime on Wednesdays at seven thirty Eastern College Football
Handicapper his best bet Louisville minus six and a half

(43:11):
Wisconsin and Perdue Big ten Network coming up at noon
Eastern Wisconsin coming off the loss against the off of
USC not getting the cover. They're laying twelve against the
boiler Makers. The boiler Makers were the biggest need for
the house at stations last week. It looked like they
were going to get there until they did it, So
good luck if you want to bet on Perdue. No

(43:32):
thanks for me on that one. That number sitting at twelve.
A couple other games here in the early window mentioned
that Grayson McCall expected to get the start for NC State.
They're a four point favorite against wake Forest. One of
the biggest moves of the day game starting at one
o'clock Eastern is Twulane now out to an eighteen point
favorite at UAB Army up to a fourteen point favorite

(43:54):
against Tulsa. And I'll wrap with this Pittsburgh taking on
North Carolina? Are they the quietest four and oh team
in the country? Who knew that Pittsburgh was four and
oh wins over Cincinnati in West Virginia earlier this year,
come back against West Virginia and Pittsburgh Today against UNC
is laying a short two and a half. UNC got

(44:17):
me to the window last week, plus the three tempted
by the Tar Heels, but I'm ultimately going to pass
that game. Starting at noon Eastern. Also starting at noon
Eastern Missouri, Texas A and M. According to report, it
will be Connor Wegman getting the start for GIGAMACKI let's go,
let's go, College station, get me this cover, Texas A

(44:38):
and M. I'll take him on the money line.
