Speaker 3 (02:30):
So shout out to Kenya Bearris always expanding. All right, now,
who do you want to shine a light on? Eight
hundred two ninety two fifty one fifty. What's up, Shialda?

Speaker 5 (02:39):
I just want to sign a light on my daughter,
a Naya Hardwick. She loves her family, she loves her coworker.
She does for people. She's an encourager. She always wants
somebody to feel better when they leave her presence. She's
a bright light. She's a shiner light by the way.

Speaker 6 (02:58):
She loves her mother.

Speaker 2 (03:00):
And her mother loves her.

Speaker 6 (03:02):
Yeah.

Speaker 5 (03:02):
Yeah, So just for Woman's Street months, I just wanted
to shine.

Speaker 2 (03:06):
A light on my daughter Anaya.

Speaker 3 (03:08):
So I know not just you, but everybody loves her.
I'm sure her coworkers are like, we love Anaya. Like
great to see somebody that I go to work with
and I'm like, this person's amazing.

Speaker 5 (03:17):
She's always like doing little stuff for them, and I
told you know, sometimes she'll get discouraged. I said, no,
if that's something that God has laid on.

Speaker 6 (03:25):
Your heart, do it.

Speaker 3 (03:27):
This is a reflection on you, and I know sometimes
you sit back and be like I did that.

Speaker 6 (03:33):
Me and God.

Speaker 5 (03:34):
He got at her uncle.

Speaker 3 (03:36):
Yes, all right, well, thank you for calling shout out
to Anaya.

Speaker 2 (03:41):
All right, thank you, take care.

Speaker 3 (03:43):
Well that was shine a light eight hundred and two
ninety two fifty one fifty in case you couldn't get through,
and we got yet on the way. You know, The
Office is one of my favorite shows of all time. Well,
Steve Correll did an interview with Amy Poehler and The
Office almost didn't happen.

Speaker 2 (04:00):
That's coming up next. Its way up the rooms from.

Speaker 1 (04:04):
Industry shade to all of gossip out send Angela's spelling
that yet.

Speaker 3 (04:10):
What's up his way up at Angela? Ye, and it's
time for your yet. Now, let's talk about this show.
The Office is one of my favorite shows. And there
was a situation where Steve Carrell said he was told
to skip the audition for the Office. He said Paul
Rudd pulled them aside and advised against him even trying out.
Here's what he had to say while he was talking

(04:32):
to Amy Poehler.

Speaker 4 (04:33):
I remember Rudd.

Speaker 2 (04:36):
What told me aside was like, don't do it, man.

Speaker 6 (04:39):
Don't audition.

Speaker 2 (04:40):
Yeah, everyone was like, don't even touch this.

Speaker 3 (04:43):
Well I can understand not thinking that it would live
up to like The Office UK because that was wildly popular.
But I'm so glad he did it, and I'm gonna
be honest, it wasn't the same after Steve Carrell left,
but that is to this day one of my favorite shows.
All right, and speaking the shows, Making the Stallion made
her Broadway debut in Mulin Rouge, and one person who

(05:04):
came out to support was Queen Latifa. Here are the
two of them together, So Queen, uh huh, how do.

Speaker 5 (05:11):
You feel about tonight?

Speaker 2 (05:12):
Murdered them? Murdered them?

Speaker 3 (05:16):
Now you do have a chance to catch Megan thee
Stallion in the show. She'll be there through May seventeenth,
just a little over two months, and that's when the
show is actually coming to a close after seventy years.
What a way to close it out and shout out
to Megan THEE Stallion. That's a huge deal.

Speaker 2 (05:30):
And one of her.

Speaker 3 (05:31):
Good friends, Carti b recently has shared that she is
not planning to remove her implans.

Speaker 2 (05:36):
Here's what she had to say on the Today Show.

Speaker 6 (05:39):
Oh yeah, yeah, I will.

Speaker 7 (05:40):
Say no, but I'm not gonna do it, Like I
was just gonna take a little bit of butt out.
What it is that I don't have time for that,
you know what? I feel really comfortable, like where I'm
at right now, like where my body and I do
have a whole bunch of seatellites because like my I
don't know if it's the age or I don't know.
Is the fact that I got a four gifts.

Speaker 6 (05:55):
I don't know.

Speaker 2 (05:56):
I feel really good.

Speaker 3 (05:58):
Cardi b was also on the Tonight Show with Jimmy
Fallon and she talked about putting garlic in her hair
and smelling like Caesar salad because of it.

Speaker 2 (06:06):
Here's what she said.

Speaker 7 (06:08):
I put garlic, but I put it too raw on
my hair, and for six months straight, every single time
my sweat, I smell like.

Speaker 2 (06:16):
A possible But.

Speaker 6 (06:18):
You, yeah, won't bother you.

Speaker 7 (06:20):
Well, I am the vampire oya, But that's hilarious.

Speaker 6 (06:25):
So you couldn't do garlic in this?

Speaker 2 (06:27):
Yes, no garlic.

Speaker 3 (06:28):
Well, it looks like it worked out because her grow
Good products sold out literally.

Speaker 2 (06:32):
Immediately when she went online with it all right.

Speaker 3 (06:35):
Well, that is your yet and we got to talk
about Angela Renee. That's Angela Simmons for the rest of us.
But Angela Renee has launched her recording career. She has
a song out with Jada Kiss and she was also
recently on lip Service.

Speaker 2 (06:50):
We have some of that for you. It's way up
about to.

Speaker 4 (06:52):
Do this one of the most famous women in radio audio.
We're talking about Angela. H. You're way up with Angela ye.
Please believe that.

Speaker 3 (07:00):
What's up his way up at Angela Yeah? And as
I told you, Angela Renee aka Angela Simmons was on
lip Service. She's got a new single out. It's what
datakis is called run to on rough writers. But she
did come through and a grace us with her presence.
And here's what she had to say about text messages
versus search history. What would you be more nervous about

(07:21):
people going through your search history or your text messages?

Speaker 2 (07:25):
Oh that's a good one.

Speaker 8 (07:26):
They don't need to go through my text.

Speaker 2 (07:30):
Whatever. Take some school websites.

Speaker 8 (07:33):
I mean, do you ever want people going through your
friends textuse those group chats?

Speaker 9 (07:37):
Yeah?

Speaker 3 (07:38):
You know, I do want to say I'm not really
nervous about either my text messages are super boring, and
then my search history is extensive because of work. I'm
always searching things, searching people, searching stories. So I don't
think anything in my search history anybody would be like, dang,
why was she looking at that?

Speaker 2 (07:55):
Now?

Speaker 3 (07:56):
People always try to act like women don't give great
gifts and relationships. Angela Simmons talks about the best gifts
she ever gave someone.

Speaker 2 (08:04):
Car's birthday part Yo, your car, who you've seen it? It's
on one It's that is a nice gift. Though, do
you ever be like to him? I want that car back.

Speaker 8 (08:17):
No, I'm not worried about it. I think when you're
in a relationship, you do nice things for someone that
you care about and with no expectation back.

Speaker 3 (08:24):
I think the best gifts aren't necessarily the most expensive.
But like I gave my boyfriend a customized book of
us that took me actually planning ahead to get it done,
submitting all this stuff. I worked on it for hours.
He said it was his favorite gift, So it's not
just about money now. Speaking of being thoughtful, Angela Simmons
aka Angeliver and A also talked about what is the

(08:46):
best way to impress her.

Speaker 2 (08:48):
Think about it.

Speaker 3 (08:48):
She comes from a rich and famous family, She's dated celebrities,
she's grown up in this.

Speaker 2 (08:54):
How do you impress Angela Simmons?

Speaker 8 (08:57):
No, okay, I won't say I'm simple, but I'm not
that hard. Okay, something nice? I like sweet things like
what flowers and just things that I don't have to
remind you to do. So if you just do that
on your own, like, oh my god, they was so nice,
be thoughtful, and I think.

Speaker 3 (09:11):
Anybody who cares about the person that they're with, because look,
there's people who are in relationships just.

Speaker 2 (09:17):
To get great gifts.

Speaker 3 (09:18):
But if you really care about a person, it's the
time and the thoughtfulness of what you can do together
that means more. There's people in relationships right now who
are getting great gifts and can't stand the person that
they're with, but they want to burk in. All right, Well,
check out that phone interview on my YouTube channel for
lip Service, but you can also listen on the iHeartRadio
podcast network.

Speaker 2 (09:37):
And when we come back, we have your yee tea.

Speaker 3 (09:39):
Let's talk about the legendary show Martin and one particular
person who guest starred on an episode says he almost
didn't do it because him and Martin got into it
before he was even booked on the show.

Speaker 2 (09:52):
It's way up off this fot.

Speaker 1 (09:54):
Let's get it, oh Angelus feeling that yee tea, Come
and get the tea.

Speaker 2 (10:00):
What's up?

Speaker 3 (10:00):
His way up at Angela? Ye, and it is time
for your eut man. I love these throwback stories of
behind the scenes things that happened on one of my
favorite shows of all time. Martin and singer Keith Washington
talked about how he almost turned down a guest spot
on The Martin Show. He describes an incident where he
had some tension with Martin Lawrence at an event, and

(10:23):
he said that Martin was a big time hater. Here's
what he had to say on Wild Moguls TV.

Speaker 10 (10:28):
I wrome my wonder that I say, Man, let me
high at you for a minute.

Speaker 6 (10:31):
So what's up? I said? Was that you that just
said Keith Washington?

Speaker 4 (10:35):
Yeah, it was me. He gonna do now. I snacked.

Speaker 10 (10:38):
Now, Martin ain't no pump, but this was one fight
that he didn't want to have. I think it was
Wesley Snipes and came over and stopped it. Tisha Campbell,
there's the reason why I did the show because Tsha
caught me and said, okay, Martin, sorry, he really wants
you on the show. We really want you on the
show now.

Speaker 3 (10:53):
If you don't remember this episode, just as a little
throwback for you, here is when Martin and Gina are
discussing Keith Washington and Martin gets really jealous on the show.

Speaker 6 (11:05):
That's what an of you, Keith Washington? Kee young of you?
And Keith? Why didn't you tell me? Keith? You know what?

Speaker 4 (11:13):
You wouldn't kill me? A brother sings a love song.

Speaker 1 (11:16):
You all think he's singing to you personally, and then
you start calling him by his first name.

Speaker 2 (11:21):
No, Keith and I grew up together. We sang in
the same church choir, we even went out for a
little while. I can't believe you didn't call me.

Speaker 3 (11:30):
There's also a point on the episode where Gina's character
and Keith Washington actually sing together and Martin is in
the background looking all irritated, So it kind of all
goes together. Maybe he was making him angry and he
really didn't like him and he really was hating on him,
but it came through on the actual show.

Speaker 2 (11:48):
So love to hear stories like that.

Speaker 3 (11:51):
NBA Young Boy has a documentary that's gonna be in
theaters April twenty second. It's giving a behind the scenes
look at his tour, which was amazing. There's moments for
him on the road, and there's a closer to look
at the shows, the rehearsals, backstage interactions. That documentary again
is in theatre's April twenty second and it's called American

(12:12):
Young Boy. I know that's going to go crazy. Can
you imagine how people are going to show up to
the theater for that.

Speaker 2 (12:18):
Also, speaking of.

Speaker 3 (12:19):
Movies, the Death and Life of lamar Odom, it's a
new installment of the Netflix sports docuseriies I'm Told is
going to be on Netflix on Tuesday, and there's an
exclusive that people got with Eliza Morales, who is lamar
Odom's ex, talking about their whole situation, his overdose, their relationship.
They struggled with his newfound fame, he felled two drug tests,

(12:42):
he was suspended for several games while playing for the Clippers,
and their relationship got more complicated. Liza Morales said, we
were always kind of on and off. Then months after
they welcomed their third child, that's when things really changed.
Their six month old son, Jaden, died from sudden infant
death syndrome, which was unexpected, unexplained. She also said years

(13:03):
after that, that's when lamar Odom's drug problem grew even worse.
Lamar Odom reveals, and I'm told that he suffered twelve
strokes and six heart attacks and was in a coma
for days. She says that when he awoke, she felt
like he still has a purpose and she thought he
still has a reason for being here. So again, that's
going to be airing on Tuesday on Netflix, and that

(13:24):
is your yet when we come back, we have under
the radar. These are the stories that are not necessarily
in the headlines. They're flying under the radar, but you
definitely need to know about him. And let's talk about
Savannah Guthrie. She did our first sit down interview since
her mother's disappearance, Nancy Guthrie, and we'll give you some
of the highlights from what happened on the Today Show.

Speaker 2 (13:44):
It's way up this in the news that relates to you.

Speaker 4 (13:46):
These stories are flying under the radar.

Speaker 3 (13:49):
What's up his way up at Angela Yen, It's time
for your under the radar stories. Now the Grio did
an article about the presence of black ICE agents at airports,
and according to Lene, who has been on.

Speaker 2 (14:01):
Lip service before.

Speaker 3 (14:02):
By the way, she said, I truly feel bad for
the black girl ICE agent.

Speaker 2 (14:06):
I don't know her reasons, but I also don't care.

Speaker 3 (14:08):
Unfortunately, there absolutely has to be a calling in reckoning
and in some cases public shaming and scrutiny for crossing
the picket line into oppressive structures. What is interesting is
seeing that in the airport none of these ICE agents
are able to wear a mask, and I am like, wow,
I can't believe there are actually black people and black
women who are in these positions, seeing how awful it's been,

(14:30):
And there is a viral image of a black female
ICE agent, and so people are wondering does she need
a job? Is she being used as a political pawn. Also,
democratic strategists and political commentator Reesee Colbert says, I do
think there's a deliberate effort to try to make black
agents and black women in particular the face of this
authoritarian takeover of these airports. But that might actually backfire

(14:53):
if they're trying to use black women as a shield.
But they don't know is that putting black women to
the forefront is going to make people have an evil,
stronger negative reaction to it. And Savannah Guthrie did an
interview with The Today Show. It's heartbreaking as she's trying
to figure out and get some help in the search
for her mother, Nancy Guthrie, who has gone missing. They

(15:15):
are looking for those suspects again. There's a reward for
one million dollars. The FBI also has a reward out
for anybody who has some type of information that can
lead to where Nancy Guthrie might be.

Speaker 2 (15:28):
Here's what she had to say.

Speaker 3 (15:30):
In part one of a two part interview that aired
today and part two will be tomorrow.

Speaker 2 (15:35):
She's my mom and somebody thought that lady has money,
we can get a quick buck. I mean, that would
make sense, but we don't know. But yeah, that's probably
which is too much to bear to think that I
brought this to her bedside. And Sam so sorry, mommy,

(15:56):
I'm so sorry.

Speaker 3 (15:58):
Well, that is your under the radar now, don't forget.
Bounty Tink is going to be joining us today. He's
a bounty hunter and also a bail bondsman. He was
shot and injured while trying to apprehend somebody who had
missed the court appearance, and he almost died. He was
in the hospital for six months. We'll talk about what
his road to recovery has been and what it's like
for him to have returned back to work because it

(16:20):
is his calling.

Speaker 2 (16:22):
All right, it's way up.

Speaker 3 (16:23):
She's like, it's out like they Angela Jean, like they
angela Jean, and.

Speaker 4 (16:27):
She's spilling it all. This is yeaty well.

Speaker 2 (16:33):
What's up?

Speaker 3 (16:33):
His way up at Angela yee And it's time for
your yet. So Stephen Colbert is going to be co
writing and developing a new movie in the blockbuster Lord
of the Ring franchise. Now, he actually made this announcement
on FaceTime with Lord of the Rings director Peter Jackson.

Speaker 2 (16:49):
They revealed the news like this, we've pounded up with
you to develop the script. You know what the books
mean to me.

Speaker 9 (16:55):
But the thing I found myself reading over and over
again were the six chapters early on in The Fellowship
that y'all never developed into the first movie. It's basically
the chapter is three is Company through Fog on the
Barrel Downs, And I thought, oh wait, maybe that could
be its own story that could fit into the larger story.

Speaker 3 (17:13):
According to Deadline, the movie is tentatively titled Shadow of
the Past. All Right, Warner Music Group and Netflix have
set an exclusive multi year first look deal. So Netflix
is going to be making documentary series and films exploring
the lives, music, and legacies of some of Warner Music
Groups artists and songwriters. And these will be artists and

(17:34):
songwriters from the past and present. I want to say
that I'm very excited for this because some of my
favorite documentaries are like about Teddy Pendergrass, Aretha Franklin, and
when you think about who signed the Warner Music Group
legends like David Bowie, they had Cher Madonna, Phil Collins,
Bruno Mars. They are definitely definitely going to kill it

(17:56):
with this, and they probably have so much access to
so much content, and they don't have to worry about
clearing music because guess what, they can do all of
that in house. And don't forget that Tank and Tyrese
are facing off in versus two nights, So what do
you need to know about this? This is gonna be
at Apple Music Studios in LA It'll be at eight
thirty pm Eastern, and you can watch the full of

(18:17):
it live in real time and it'll be on Apple
Music and then after the stream you'll see everything on demand.
It's going to be exclusive audio, So get ready. I
was looking at the cheat sheet of Tank versus Tyresee,
and just think about songs like sweet Lady, Please don't
go by Tank, Tyrese.

Speaker 2 (18:38):
How you gonna act like that? Tank?

Speaker 3 (18:40):
Maybe I deserve Tyrese signs of love making Tank when we.

Speaker 2 (18:45):
You know it's gonna be interesting.

Speaker 3 (18:47):
Listen, they have a whole cheat sheet and I actually
went to take a look at it and I was like, Okay,
I mean think about Tyresee. He was on pulling Me Back,
that's chingy song. But then Tank was on come over
the leah.

Speaker 2 (19:01):
You know.

Speaker 3 (19:01):
I think, actually, this is going to be a really
fun night for the ladies.

Speaker 2 (19:05):
It is Women's History Month.

Speaker 3 (19:06):
That is your yet and when we come back, we
have asked Yee eight hundred two nine two fifty one
fifty call us up any question you have.

Speaker 2 (19:14):
I'm here to help you out. It's way up a.

Speaker 1 (19:16):
Right everybody since whether it's relationship or career advice, Angela's
dropping facts you should you should know.

Speaker 4 (19:22):
This is ask Ye what's up?

Speaker 3 (19:24):
His way up with Angela Gye and it's time for
ask Yee and we have Dorby on the line today.
His girlfriend has a cousin who's lgbt q I A
and his girlfriend has also dabbled in that lifestyle, but
he has an issue with it.

Speaker 2 (19:37):
Can they move past it?

Speaker 5 (19:38):
I've been talking to someone about seven month and you want.

Speaker 4 (19:43):
To be together, but we had a big disagreement.

Speaker 2 (19:46):
Her cousin is part of the elg okay lgbtq I
A plus community.

Speaker 1 (19:51):
Yeah, sorry, Michael, jer really doesn't support that, and that
kind of wasting me.

Speaker 2 (19:56):
I don't want to be like okay.

Speaker 3 (19:59):
So she wants you to be embracing of her cousin's
lifestyle choices, but it's not something you're comfortable with.

Speaker 1 (20:07):
Correct and then she dibbled adapt when she was younger.

Speaker 3 (20:10):
When you say you don't support it, what is it
that you would have to do?

Speaker 5 (20:14):
I don't hate anything that lifetile like I.

Speaker 3 (20:18):
Believe and you know, these sound like some real fundamental
beliefs that you guys don't agree on. Some things we
can budge on, but this is not something that it
feels like she'll be okay with or you'll be okay with.

Speaker 8 (20:31):
I see that we are moving forward a little bit,
but it did like we put that behind us.

Speaker 3 (20:36):
I have a question, why did you want that to
be known? If it's not, if you're not going to
act any.

Speaker 4 (20:41):
Differently, well just seeing if she was still involved?

Speaker 3 (20:45):
Okay, if she's still so you don't want to have
a three sim or anything, you're like, I'm not into that. No,
So how do you feel about her aside from this?
Is this somebody you could see yourself really being with.

Speaker 6 (20:56):
I can all right.

Speaker 3 (20:58):
This is something that's going to end up coming up
again because I would think she's close to her cousin
and I feel like y'all really need to have a
conversation when you're not.

Speaker 2 (21:08):
Mad at each other about it.

Speaker 3 (21:10):
And clearly she feels very strongly in supporting her cousin
and also things that she's done in the past. And
so the question is what does that mean for you?
Because she's okay with it and this is her family
and this is also her like her existence, it's really
kind of on you. You have to figure out like

(21:30):
how important is this to you right as far as
your beliefs and then even your family, Like what's that
going to be?

Speaker 4 (21:38):
Like? So I'll know, all.

Speaker 3 (21:41):
Right, So I would say it's on you, but have
that conversation with her, but also have it with yourself.

Speaker 1 (21:47):
Okay, that sounds there.

Speaker 2 (21:49):
All right? Thank you for Collins Darby.

Speaker 4 (21:50):
Good luck than you.

Speaker 3 (21:52):
That was ask ye eight hundred and two ninety two
fifty one fifty. If you couldn't get through, you could
leave a message and ask ye.

Speaker 2 (21:59):
That way I got you.

Speaker 3 (22:01):
And when we come back, Bounty Tink is gonna be
joining us. He's a Bell bondsman. He's also a bounty
hunter and he also almost lost his life while he
was working. We'll discuss what happened and how he got
back to what he's doing and how it changed his life. Literally,
it's way up about.

Speaker 1 (22:17):
This one, he loans to famous women in radio audio.

Speaker 4 (22:20):
Man, we're talking about Angela here. You're way up with Angela. Ye.
Please believe that what's up?

Speaker 3 (22:25):
His way up with Angela yee and definitely way up.
Bounty Tink is back. Welcome back to the show. It's
been a lot that happened since last time you were here.

Speaker 6 (22:34):
Oh yeah, I'm blessed to be First off, let me
give the grace, the glory the God to even be
here sitting with you again. Yes, it's been a lot,
but I'm here blessed.

Speaker 2 (22:44):
Man you had and we'll get right into it.

Speaker 3 (22:47):
You had an incident where you almost lost your life
while you were working as a bounty hunter, a Belle bondsman,
and it was a situation where you went someplace and
going to apprehendon eighteen year old right who what had
he done?

Speaker 2 (23:02):
He didn't show up for an appearance.

Speaker 6 (23:04):
A miss court, but his original charges was just it
was domestic.

Speaker 3 (23:07):
Violence, and you went to go find him in Akron, Ohio,
went to Farm Agron.

Speaker 6 (23:10):
I believe it might have been a setup, just because
I really now just listen to the audio of them
calling in to the police, and I heard one of
them say, we were getting attacked by a guy in
the black ski mask.

Speaker 2 (23:26):
So and you did not have on the metro.

Speaker 6 (23:28):
It's all over to they seen. You can see the footage.
There's no mass. So it led me to believe it
might have been more to it.

Speaker 3 (23:35):
You were in the hospital for four months, six months,
six months, and the bullets just narrowly missed out. You
had on a bulletproof vest, but you said they shot
down so and it hit the.

Speaker 6 (23:45):
Side where there's no plating and uh through the side
of my chest two centimeters.

Speaker 4 (23:51):
From my heart.

Speaker 2 (23:51):
Wow, he did not get charged with anything. I can't understand.

Speaker 3 (23:56):
Why would the police see this footage and then decide, okay,
it's self defense or they thought they were being attacked.

Speaker 6 (24:03):
It's more so the prosecutor, you know, because in Ohio's
his stayingard ground law and the way they perceived it
and took it in as he was scared for his life.
But I'm not in a place where I want to
pursue anything. I'm okay, I'm not mad at the young man,
you know. I hope he turned his life around. I'm
just in a space from now where I'm past it.

Speaker 3 (24:24):
Right now, Bounty Tink is here. He's a bounty hunter
and a Bell bondsman. He's gone viral and he has
his own YouTube channel where he documents everything that he
goes through.

Speaker 2 (24:33):
But he almost lost his life. Did you feel he
was apologetic?

Speaker 6 (24:37):
I haven't spoke to my life, I heard anything.

Speaker 2 (24:39):
What would you say to that eighteen year old get
your life.

Speaker 6 (24:43):
To christ Man and I tell him I forgive him.
I put it online that I forgive him.

Speaker 3 (24:47):
How long did it take you to forgive him. Was
it instant or was it something that you had to
come to terms with.

Speaker 6 (24:52):
It was somebody had to come to terms with it
took so much.

Speaker 2 (24:55):
Interesting.

Speaker 3 (24:55):
I saw a news interview that you did, and I
saw your daughter was on there. Oh yeah, it feels
like she's happy that you're back to doing what you
feel is what you were called to do. But then
at the same time, I'm sure she's also nervous.

Speaker 6 (25:09):
She's super had for him. So her and my wife,
I mean, they understand i gotta do what I gotta do.
I'm not fully back into it, and I have been out.
I had to go get a couple of people just
because I had to. But I'm not just out there.

Speaker 2 (25:21):
What do you mean you had to?

Speaker 6 (25:22):
Well, I had a very high bond I did, and
look just a true story. I had a very high bond,
and I told you got just turn yourself in and
try to give them a chance another young dude. I pleaded,
please just go turn yourself in. And people thought because
I'm in and out of the hospital and I'm posting like, oh,
he ain't gonna do nothing. So I literally left the hospital,

(25:43):
messed up everything, got my gun, put it in my
pants and went out a grad dude. So when I
have to, I will. Before I was doing it just
fulfilling my purposes, so I would take on extra cases
and do emotional. Now I'm stepping back more on some management.

Speaker 7 (26:00):
Is here.

Speaker 3 (26:00):
We have more with him when we come back. He's
appreciative of all the prayers. He was in the hospital
for six months while in the line of duty of
being a bounty hunter, and he is back on the scene.
But things have changed. We'll talk about it. It's way up,
turn me up here, we go up there.

Speaker 4 (26:17):
This is Way Up with Angela Ye.

Speaker 3 (26:19):
What's up is Way Up with Angela Yee and Bounty
Tank is back with us.

Speaker 2 (26:23):
On Way Up with Angela Yee.

Speaker 3 (26:25):
We discussed his career last time he was here, his
music career, but also his own show where he documents
being a bounty hunter and a Bell bondsman. Well, he
almost lost his life since the last time we spoke
to him, and he's being very transparent of all that
he's gone through. When you think back to how this happened,
did you feel like you were going to die?

Speaker 6 (26:43):
First? I was like, did I get shot? I'm like, oh,
we hit the best I took the best off. I said, okay.
Then my life flashed in front of me. Immediately I
started to think about what I should have done. I
wish I would have did this, I wish I would
have done that. I started having so many regrets and
thinking about I didn't set this help properly, I didn't
set my daughter. I'll start thinking of all the things

(27:05):
that I didn't do properly to get to this point,
because you never know when it's your time. So I
was just literally just a million thoughts, and I was
just praying, like I hope this is not it.

Speaker 2 (27:17):
And those worked.

Speaker 6 (27:18):
Oh they prayer. And of course my supporters. I can't
forget that because a lot of people were praying for me,
and the big man upstairs hurted.

Speaker 3 (27:26):
What has the recovery process been like for you? I know,
I believe you said you have one more surgery. Okay,
so tell me about the whole recovery process.

Speaker 6 (27:34):
It's been a battle. I'm still recovering, but now I
finally put on some weight. I was looking like a
twig before. I'm yeah, now I got some guns and
now I'm back. So I'm just lefting weight being able
to take food now, So I'm doing fantastic, just building
myself up strong enough for this next surgery. It could
be up to a ten.

Speaker 3 (27:53):
Hour surgery right now. Bounty Tink is here. He's a
bounty hunter and a Bell bondsman. He's gone viral and
as his own YouTube channel where he documents everything that
he goes through.

Speaker 2 (28:03):
But he almost lost his life.

Speaker 3 (28:05):
What are some other plans that you have, because, like
you said, some of the people closest to you are
wanting you to get out of it. But I know,
and like you said, you're training other people. You're not
in the field as much. Where do you see yourself
taking this.

Speaker 6 (28:17):
I'm gonna continue. I'm never gonna get out the business.
I'm going to expand my business. I'm taking this to
the Detroit metro area take over there, and I'm just
keep training people up. Like I said, I'm gonna just
take a step back more into a manager position, and
when I got a lace up, I will I'm going
to start transitioning, pivoting into some more public speaking, just

(28:40):
trying to help people through my testimony.

Speaker 2 (28:42):
Yeah, and your content.

Speaker 6 (28:44):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (28:44):
As far as the music, what's happening with that?

Speaker 6 (28:47):
The album's done? Album drops April tenth. Okay, I have
a new single that's coming out on the twenty seven,
which is this Friday, called No Hook Park one. So
the album is called Bars and it's ask for Blessings
after Real Scars and it's my testimony.

Speaker 2 (29:03):
Well, let's hear a snippet up the song No Hook
Part one and the.

Speaker 6 (29:07):
Lord got something in comments not to mean you can
say that we was both pay to.

Speaker 4 (29:11):
By home people. We died and we came back.

Speaker 6 (29:14):
I was the one that they wanted to be. I
was never the other kid.

Speaker 11 (29:17):
I was getting money.

Speaker 4 (29:18):
Y'all was thinking about it.

Speaker 6 (29:20):
It's y'all got that one to bring it. It's a
powerful album. If you're one of those people that like
albums to tell a story and have some substance and
meaning to it, this is for you. This is more
of a complete story. Addictions I dealt with, trauma I've
dealt with is real. It's on Filter and it's gonna
be with a documentary as well.

Speaker 3 (29:41):
Oh okay, well I'm looking forward to seeing all of that.
And I'm just happy that you're here, you know, with us,
and that you're still doing what it is that you love.
But we are going to continue to pray that. You know,
I know you have one more surgery at the end
of the year. Yes, and then after that you feel
like after that, God.

Speaker 6 (29:59):
One, I'm good. I'm back to the best normal MEA
can be.

Speaker 3 (30:02):
Well, thank you so much for coming through. Like I said,
it's good to see you. We're watching and keeping check
