Speaker 1 (00:00):
You are now Angelo what I call her? Ye? Hey
you it's way wait who's here?

Speaker 2 (00:17):
Yeah, listen you miss tell us a secret. Yesterday everybody's
you're most requested on there. Yeah, they're like where.

Speaker 1 (00:24):
Was Mano for this? Like you see the thing?

Speaker 2 (00:28):
But anyway, we are getting ready. It is early, like
you could vote early here in New York. And so
I know a lot of elections are going around the
country right now as everybody's making sure that we're getting
ready to find out what's going to be happening, who's
going to be the mayor, controller, council, all of those things,
people are voting. I just want to say to everybody listening,

(00:49):
no matter where you are, and make sure whoever you
want to be in office. I know people feel like
they don't need to be involved in politics. Politics are dirty,
it's politics, it's all of those things. But just make
sure that you know who's running for office, and make
sure you hold people accountable, and make sure you vote,
because you can't talk all of this if you're not
even voting. And this is a major, major time, you know,

(01:10):
So just putting that out there. But let's get the
show started with some love and some positivity. Let's shine
a light eight hundred two nine to fifty one fifty
call us up.

Speaker 1 (01:18):
Let us know who you want to shine a light on.

Speaker 2 (01:20):
And you know what I want to do right now, Mano,
I want to buy you a drink.

Speaker 1 (01:24):
Ready for that, Let's get it happen. It's way up.

Speaker 3 (01:27):
Shine, I'm shine.

Speaker 4 (01:29):
Turn your lights on, y'all saspreading love to those who
are doing greatness.

Speaker 1 (01:34):
Shine the light on, shine a light on.

Speaker 4 (01:38):
It's time to shine a light on them.

Speaker 1 (01:40):
It's way you put in Angela yee. I'm here with Maina.

Speaker 2 (01:44):
And today I want to shine a light on something
that's happening. In Charlotte, North Carolina, the Black Chamber of
Commerce has a hub that is designed specifically for black
owned businesses. And this is a new effort from Cathay
Hawkins and other members of the Black Chamber of Converse.
According to the Charlotte Observer, they have found an unused

(02:06):
property that they acquired and they have put resources into
making this building a one stop shop for professionals for
small businesses. They want to help entrepreneurs and they also
want to make sure that they're creating a safe space
for that because you know there's a lot of rolling
back of programs for DEI, a lot of contracts being
pulled away. So now there's this innovation center and there'll

(02:27):
be an agricultural tech program for farmers. It'll be event
spaces if you need to have a business meeting, co
working spaces for startups, entrepreneurs and nonprofits. Also a retail
store and a distribution center for small businesses. These are
the things that we need to have like everywhere. So
getting ready for Juneteenth where we'll be talking about and
shouting out small black owned businesses.

Speaker 1 (02:48):
All right now, Briggs Billy, who do you want to
shine a light on?

Speaker 5 (02:52):
I want to shine a light on myself.

Speaker 1 (02:53):
Okay, I'm number six.

Speaker 5 (02:55):
In America's Top next beat maker. Oh I have a
few songs on our heart and every other platform. Okay,
I cook online, kicktop YouTube, all of that.

Speaker 1 (03:07):
You cook up beats, so you get you online. I
do it all okay? Well me all right, bricks bully,
So that's how people can find you.

Speaker 5 (03:15):
They just look that up, yup bricks bully b R
I right X b U L L E E.

Speaker 2 (03:23):
All right, Well, thank you for calling and congrats to you.
Shine a light on you, all right.

Speaker 5 (03:26):
I appreciate you, thank you.

Speaker 2 (03:28):
Yes, that was shine a Light eight hundred two ninet
two fifty one fifty. If you couldn't get through, leave
a message and when we come back here e T now.
I saw this on All hip Hop dot Com as
an exclusive. But R Kelly apparently overdosed and was rested
to the hospital.

Speaker 1 (03:42):
We'll give you all of those details. It's way up,
they say in the rooms.

Speaker 4 (03:47):
From industry shade to all of gosp out send Angela's feeling.

Speaker 1 (03:51):
That et Yeah, it's way up at Angela. Yee, I'm here,
manos here, Yes, yes we are. And let's talk about R.
Kelly for a second.

Speaker 2 (04:01):
You know, he's been saying that his life is in
danger in prison, and they have filed an emergency motion.
This was filed yesterday. It's a third request for a
temporary release. He wants to be under home confinement because
he feels like there was recently an overdose. They said
he went into solitary confinement on the tenth and then
on the twelfth they gave him too much medication and

(04:23):
then he started feeling dizzy and faint. After that additional
medication and vision loss, he was rushed to Duke University Hospital,
and so according to this emergency motion, they're trying to
kill him to cover up misconduct during his prosecution.

Speaker 6 (04:42):
A time hitting him.

Speaker 1 (04:44):
Yeah, I listen.

Speaker 2 (04:46):
He's saying the conditions are inhumane and solitary confinement. He
said he sleeps with spiders crawling on him, he has
no access to phone calls, and cannot eat food from
the commissary. He's so fearful of being poisoned that he's
gone for days without eating, according to his lawyer. While hospitalized,
they also found blood clots and both his legs and
his lungs. So not sure what's gonna end up happening

(05:10):
from this. Do you anticipate that he'll get home confinement.

Speaker 6 (05:14):
No, not at all.

Speaker 2 (05:15):
Yeah, I don't think it's going to happen either, But
we'll keep you updated on what's going on now.

Speaker 1 (05:20):
In the meantime, Diddy with his child.

Speaker 2 (05:22):
They showed those freak off tapes yesterday to jurors, not
the full tape, but they just showed three different videos
about just certain sections, and they were also.

Speaker 1 (05:33):
Given headphones to listen to the videos.

Speaker 2 (05:36):
These jurors, they were played about thirty seconds of each clip,
and they said that sex noises could be heard coming
from the headphones. One juror was giggling when the clips
were shown, another one was horrified while watching that.

Speaker 1 (05:48):
So it's interesting to see how.

Speaker 2 (05:50):
This will be interpreted because the prosecution feels that this
was showing that people were coerced into doing things. But
I think that Diddy's defense feels like this will show
that people were willing participants. So not sure what's gonna happen.
But again, this trial, I don't know it could. I
hear so many different people talking about it. It's interesting

(06:12):
to see what is really going to be the outcome.

Speaker 1 (06:16):
Right, Yeah, we all tuned in.

Speaker 2 (06:19):
Did he allegedly ask Cassie Alta to celebrate Christmas with
a freak golf party?

Speaker 1 (06:23):
What a way to celebrate Christmas? Guys? All right?

Speaker 2 (06:26):
And in good news, Tussy is talking about perhaps returning
to football, and he posted I'm going to be the
first artist to go back and go D one for football.
I'm pushing myself every day hashtag my first love that
was previously a really important part of his life. And
so we'll see if he'll be able to return to
football and play D one football. That'll be interesting because

(06:47):
I don't know anybody else in the music business that
has done that.

Speaker 1 (06:50):
Never. Right, we've seen people go play basketball, right, went
and played basketball, ja.

Speaker 2 (06:55):
Cole All right, well that is your Yet when we
come back, we have about last night. That's we discussed
what we did last night. I'll tell you what I
had going on and Mayno, I don't know.

Speaker 1 (07:05):
What you was up to. But happy Father's Day. It's
way up.

Speaker 4 (07:09):
So about last night, Yes, I went down.

Speaker 1 (07:16):
Yeah, it's way you put into Yeah, I'm here with mano.
Yeah about last night? What did you do? Recovered from
my Atlantic City trip?

Speaker 6 (07:24):
Atlantic City trip, my Father's Day and planning on my
wedding July twenty six.

Speaker 1 (07:29):
It's still on bad coming up. It's a month and
the same day. Yeah, so you my wife yet? Are
you sure this is happening? What happened? But I'm looking
for bridesmaids.

Speaker 2 (07:42):
Okay, So you want to cast some bridesmaids. You don't
want it to be the person's friends.

Speaker 1 (07:47):
You might not have friends. I just want you know
that's a perfect woman for you because her friends would
warn her.

Speaker 6 (07:52):
It's gonna be big, It's gonna be big.

Speaker 2 (07:54):
Well, last night, I actually have been watching this series
on Apple TV. It's called Stick. Has anybody in here
watched it? Owen Wilson starring in it. It's a comedy
and basically he was a big golfer for a moment
and then his life is now a mess. It's in shambles.
But he meets this young kid who is amazing at golf,

(08:15):
and he decides that he wants to help him go pro.
And so that's kind of like him getting his life
back on track and trying to help somebody younger do
the things that he wasn't able to do, you know.
And so he drops a lot of gems about life
and golf while watching this. But when I tell you,
the first episode starts off, his house is disgusting, it's
a mess. He's divorced, but his life is just in shamble.

(08:39):
He's working at like a golf place, you know. It's
kind of like one of those greats that fell from grace.

Speaker 1 (08:45):
And then now he's about to get back on track
because of this kid. Yeah, it's good. It's on our TV.

Speaker 2 (08:52):
It's a series, and Owen Wilson's funny. You know who
Owen Wilson is, Yeah, Owen Wilson. Luke Wilson.

Speaker 1 (08:57):
Wilson all right, so yeah, so that's what I've been doing.

Speaker 2 (09:01):
And the other thing I was doing was looking for
an airbnb because I'm planning to take a trip, so
i was researching places that I want to go.

Speaker 1 (09:09):
I'm gonna show you guys some of the mens lately.
None were vacations. No, No, everything's been work.

Speaker 2 (09:16):
I want to work list vacation if that makes sense,
if that's possible.

Speaker 1 (09:21):
All right.

Speaker 2 (09:21):
In the meantime, speaking of work, uh, you know, Lip
Service episodes drop every single week on Tuesdays, and today
I want to talk about this episode that Snapdog and
Ace Metaphor were on. And it's so funny to me
how men and women may view this topic differently. But
here is what Snapdog had to say about women accepting
drinks and the like.

Speaker 7 (09:40):
If you at the bar and the man say can
I buy you a drink? You're like, I got a man,
but you still accept that drink. You just gave him
a door to open that he can get you.

Speaker 1 (09:47):
Tell you let him know you got.

Speaker 7 (09:48):
A whole in your relationship that I can squeeze in there.
Tell him some what type of heart? So all I
gotta do is a pod. Enough pressure and I can.

Speaker 1 (09:54):
Get you to we're accepting a drink. Yeah, why would
you do that? I'm another man.

Speaker 7 (09:58):
You got to commit a relations while you set them
my drink.

Speaker 1 (10:02):
It's right, I agree.

Speaker 2 (10:03):
I never broke it down that way. I just but
but I do think it's circumstantial. And we'll talk about it.
We'll pick aside. Eight hundred about it, fifty one fifty.
I feel like you're here my side. I'm gonna hear
your side. But eight hundred two nine two fifty one fifty.
Call us up, let us know what you think. We're
gonna pick a side. Do you agree with Snapdog? Because
I think accepting a drink doesn't really come with all

(10:26):
that extra meaning.

Speaker 1 (10:27):
But we'll discuss eight hundred two fifty one fifty. It's
way up.

Speaker 4 (10:32):
It's not just right or wrong. It's about what you believe.
It's time to pick a side and stay there and
stay there.

Speaker 1 (10:40):
It's way up. With Angela Yee, I'm here with Maino.

Speaker 2 (10:42):
No no, And today we're talking about what Snapdog had
to say on lip service. He basically said that when
you buy a drink a woman, it leaves a door.
When you buy a drink for a woman and she
accepts it. It leaves the door open, right, And like.

Speaker 7 (10:55):
If you at the bar and the man say, can
I buy you a drink? You're like, I got a man,
but you still accept that drink. You just gave him
a door to open that he can get you. Tell
you let him know you got a whole in your
relationship that I can squeeze in there.

Speaker 1 (11:05):
Tell him some what type of hurt? So all I
got to do is a pod enough pressure and I
can get you to cut Tell he accepting a drink? Yeah,
why would you do that? I'm another man.

Speaker 7 (11:13):
You got to commit a relationship while you set them
my drink?

Speaker 1 (11:16):
Now, man, No, you agree with snapdog? Right? I see,
But this is what people are understanding.

Speaker 6 (11:20):
I agree that it opens a door to have that
man have the confidence to continue a conversation. If you
want to cut that conversation off, you say thank you,
but no thank you?

Speaker 1 (11:31):
All right?

Speaker 2 (11:31):
Would you be mad at your woman if she was
somebody bought her a drink at the bar?

Speaker 8 (11:35):
Not really?

Speaker 1 (11:35):
I mean, yeah, I ain't really. I mean I'm I'm
not weak like that? All right?

Speaker 2 (11:39):
Well, I would say this, I think my situation it
feels different. Because I feel like I go out a
lot of times people will send a drink over. I
just think it's all about context. If you if I'm
with a group of friends and somebody sends over drinks
for all of us, then that's great. Nobody should ever
walk over and hand you or drink. Either has to
come directly from the bar or the staff and not
from an actual person. And I never looked at it

(12:01):
as that deep of a thing. But we want to
see what you think. Eight hundred and two ninety two
fifty one fifty Marcus, what's up?

Speaker 3 (12:07):
Hey? How are going?

Speaker 1 (12:08):
Do you ever buy drinks for women? Does that mean?
And if she accepts it, does that mean the door
is open? Yeah?

Speaker 3 (12:14):
I agree with bro. If you buy her female drink,
if she accepts it, that is letting you know you
have a chance.

Speaker 2 (12:21):
I think there's a miscommunication going on because if I
accept a drink, I don't think that means that I'm like,
come on in.

Speaker 3 (12:28):
Every woman is different. But in the guy's eyes, if
she's accepting that drink, it's basically the same thing as
saying come home with me right now.

Speaker 6 (12:35):
Whoa no, no, no, no, I'm not saying she's saying that, God,
that's a bit extra in little buddy. What I'm saying
is that I don't know, man, I'm saying that you
know you can't take that approach that, yeah.

Speaker 1 (12:50):
That might be y'all fault in this.

Speaker 6 (12:52):
Case, I'm saying, it leads to a conversation. In conversation
period is a doorway. Whether she's gonna step in there
and allow you to come all the way in, but
still if she want to cut it off, Listen, homie,
I got a man. I don't need no drinks from
you or nothing. I got a man for all that.
Matter of fact.

Speaker 1 (13:11):
I got money to buy my own drinks fact, and I.

Speaker 3 (13:13):
Would expect her to do that. But if not, if
he's letting you buy her that drink, hey man for
the street.

Speaker 1 (13:20):
Oh my god. This I can't believe you think like this.

Speaker 9 (13:24):
This is.

Speaker 1 (13:27):
No run with that. See, this is what you.

Speaker 2 (13:33):
Are, your bandwagons you So, Jacelyn, if you accept a
drink from a man, does that mean the door is open?

Speaker 3 (13:41):
The door is not open a drink from a.

Speaker 1 (13:45):
Man, Okay, thank you.

Speaker 10 (13:46):
It doesn't mean you were just respecting your relationship.

Speaker 11 (13:49):
I feel like it's more like a social gesture.

Speaker 1 (13:52):
In a relationship, a relationship.

Speaker 6 (13:55):
So would you accept the drink from me?

Speaker 8 (13:57):
Well, the way that you can say, I feel like
it's all about energy, you know, by a person's body
language and things that are in tone when he asks
you to or for a drink.

Speaker 1 (14:05):
If you should accept it, then what about that?

Speaker 5 (14:09):
Yeah, it's not about the liquor.

Speaker 8 (14:11):
It's not about the liquor. It's about it's clearly looking
at you, like looking at his lips.

Speaker 1 (14:17):
And looking at you up and down.

Speaker 10 (14:18):
That's a whole different story.

Speaker 8 (14:20):
There's a lot of men who are very respectful. Yeah,
you know, I want to buy because.

Speaker 12 (14:24):
You know, mena provided naturally without expecting anything. Ever, sorrow men,
the lang word, just thinking that one drink equals crazy.

Speaker 6 (14:35):
I'm not saying that at all. All I'm saying is
cannot buy your drink.

Speaker 12 (14:39):
Yeah with that tone, Yeah about anything at.

Speaker 1 (14:43):
All that.

Speaker 9 (14:48):
Your drink.

Speaker 1 (14:55):
But thank you for calling. Took my drink, yeah for sure,
and and been like and three from my friends too.
All right, well, thank you guys for calling. I think
there's a disconnect between how men and women think though,
that's all it is. Like, Yeah, I just think we
don't take it that seriously. And y'all's like, yes, butter
and drink.

Speaker 6 (15:16):
Yeah, y'all take everything, drinks, good time.

Speaker 1 (15:23):
If he sends up it, what does that mean? Everything?
All right?

Speaker 2 (15:27):
When we come back, we got your ye t And
let's talk about slim thug man. He has a stalker
and that is very scary to me. But now he's
getting backlash for his stalker. We'll talk about it. It's
way up the.

Speaker 4 (15:40):
Lid off this pot.

Speaker 13 (15:41):
Let's get it.

Speaker 4 (15:43):
Angelus feeling that yea te Come.

Speaker 1 (15:44):
And get the tea. Oh the tea is piping hot today.
But let's get into this. You ready, man know, let's
get it. I'm so diddy.

Speaker 2 (15:54):
Here's an update on what's going on right now as
he's facing these federal sex trafficking and racketeering charges. The
trial today is day twenty five. All tomorrow's day twenty six,
and according to a federal special agent, they testified that
travel and hotel expenses involving elleged mail escorts were paid
for by Ditty and one of the escorts and alleged

(16:18):
mail escort Jewels. Theodore stayed at the London hotel that
didd he paid for on his amex and also flew
him on Virgin America, and so they're basically talking about
all of these flights and rooms that were paid for.
They also testified that there was damage to a penthouse
at the Intercontinental and Times Square and he had to
pay about forty seven thousand dollars on his card.

Speaker 1 (16:40):
That's how bad the damages were.

Speaker 6 (16:43):
And that was in New York.

Speaker 2 (16:44):
Yes, that was in New London in Times Square. No,
the Intercontinental, but yes, the London as well. There were
also a series of texts and calls between Diddy and Cassie.
That is, on that night that he was seen assaulting her.
A text from Diddy says, the cops are here. Then
he said you are, and then Cassie said, you are
sick to think it's okay to do what you have done.

(17:04):
Please stay away from me. I have a premiere. And
then he texted her call me, help help me. I
am about to be arrested. If you don't pick up,
you will never hear my voice again. And she did
not answer. So that's what's happening today now. Ex Empire
actor brush Hair Gray was hit with assault and battery
after he got into an alleged fight with one of
his associates.

Speaker 1 (17:23):
You know him as playing haikem on Empire.

Speaker 2 (17:26):
Now, I want to say, usually when I do these stories,
I do a quick search to see if there's any updates.

Speaker 1 (17:32):
I go on social media.

Speaker 14 (17:33):
Updated.

Speaker 1 (17:34):
Oh, listen, he updated for sure. He didn't get hit.

Speaker 2 (17:38):
With just as salt and battery. You go and look
at his page. Go look on X and search a
brush Heir.

Speaker 1 (17:43):
You went all away.

Speaker 2 (17:44):
He definitely got a lot going on on there on
his only fans, and he's very active. He was on
there just a few hours ago, so clearly he bonded out.

Speaker 6 (17:52):
He climbed that broke Back Mountain, didn't.

Speaker 2 (17:53):
He was arrested on Sunday and has bonded out of
jail since then. They said that according to the Esso
Yet who he allegedly attacked, he said, brush Air is
not a bad person, but he does suffer from mental
health issues, and he said something took place in a
mental health aspect. I cannot disclose what happened. I cannot
disclose the details of that. All I can tell you
is brush Air as a friend, He's like my brother.

(18:14):
He is just someone who is dealing with some very
interesting mental health issues. He doesn't need to be in jail.
He wouldn't survive in jail. He needs mental health.

Speaker 15 (18:20):
He might like it in that.

Speaker 2 (18:21):
Alrighty scheduled to appear in court on Wednesday. And now
let's talk for a second about slim Thug. Now, apparently
he has a stalker. But people weren't understanding what was
going on with slim Thug because he went and previously
let's talk about this too. He also got his apartment burglarized,
and so that was an issue that he had to

(18:42):
So he's very sensitive to unwanted visitors.

Speaker 1 (18:45):
Now, there was a woman in.

Speaker 2 (18:46):
His garage, and here's what he said as he filmed
this and posted it.

Speaker 10 (18:50):
How hell did you get in here?

Speaker 9 (18:52):
Man?

Speaker 2 (18:54):
Man?

Speaker 10 (18:55):
Get your crazy as about you?

Speaker 4 (18:57):
Man?

Speaker 3 (18:58):
Is you sleeping in my garage?

Speaker 4 (18:59):
Man?

Speaker 13 (18:59):
Get here?

Speaker 1 (19:01):
Now, we said he always sees her at the gym,
and then he actually responded because people thought, why didn't
you help her?

Speaker 6 (19:08):
Oh, well let's see people out of control. Look a
strange woman in your garage.

Speaker 1 (19:12):
Well here's what he said to how.

Speaker 13 (19:14):
You slow mothers on here talking about it. I should
have did some for this home. This lady, this is
not just a homeless lady. This is a stalker hopping
up everywhere I'm at, y'all find and get it. A
look away from me. If y'all give a.

Speaker 1 (19:28):
Damn so much, all right, could be dangerous.

Speaker 2 (19:31):
And that is you're yee t. When we come back,
we have under the radar. These are the stories that
are not necessarily and the headlines. They're flying under the radar,
but you definitely need to know about them. Imagine an
AI Barbie doll. Well, we're not too far from that.
We'll give you an update on what's happening with AI
and Barbie. It's way up.

Speaker 4 (19:49):
I got news this in the news that relates to you.
These stories are flying under the radar, right, it's.

Speaker 1 (19:55):
Way up with Angela.

Speaker 2 (19:56):
Yeah, I'm here, manos here and let's get to these
under the radar story.

Speaker 1 (20:01):
So Mattel is teaming up with open Ai.

Speaker 2 (20:03):
They're gonna develop AI powered products and also different experience
based on the Metel brands. You know, they make Barbie,
they also make hot wheels, they do Polypocket, they do
a lot.

Speaker 1 (20:13):
Of different toys. It's not what you think it is.

Speaker 2 (20:18):
But they're gonna incorporate tools such as chat GPT. Because
open Ai owns chat GPT, I'm into its business operations
that will enhance product development and creative ideation, drive innovation,
and also deepen engagement with their audience.

Speaker 1 (20:32):
So we don't know exactly.

Speaker 2 (20:34):
What it's gonna be, but it should be pretty interesting
to see when these products launched later this year what
it's gonna be.

Speaker 1 (20:42):
They also do Uno cards. Can you imagine what kind
of cause we want to talk? I'm like a master
that own I'm the greatest player of a play.

Speaker 2 (20:50):
Yeah, it depends on how you play because there's some
rules that I think people don't know.

Speaker 6 (20:54):
People got their own, Yes.

Speaker 1 (20:56):
They do, all right.

Speaker 2 (20:57):
And speaking of open Ai, that company has just landed
a two hundred million dollar deal with the US military,
and that is to address national security challenges. So they're
going to provide AI to support that.

Speaker 1 (21:11):
That is going to run through July twenty twenty six.

Speaker 2 (21:13):
The deal was announced after open ai first revealed that
it would collaborate with this defense firm to develop AI
for national security missions.

Speaker 1 (21:22):
So if you.

Speaker 2 (21:24):
Invested in open Ai, good job. I'm sure your stock
is going all the way up, all right. And along
these lines, a lot of people are spending less money.
US retail sales have fallen because Americans are very cautious
right now after spending.

Speaker 1 (21:39):
Early to beat the tariffs.

Speaker 2 (21:41):
So a lot of places, if you go shopping, they'd
be like you should buy this now, like don't wait
because we don't know what's going to happen with the tariffs.
And a lot of places will be like buy this
now because in July the prices are going up.

Speaker 1 (21:51):
This is your last chance.

Speaker 2 (21:52):
So now there's been a sharp decline after that happened.

Speaker 1 (21:56):
And listen, people are not going out like that. It's
been really up.

Speaker 2 (22:00):
And lastly, as we talk about elections in Virginia, the
race for governor is going to be history no matter
who wins, if it's a Democrat or the Republican, because
it's both women running against each other. So it'll be
the first time that they have a woman as a governor.
So there you go. That is you're under the radar.
We do have the way it mix at the top
of the hour. Of course, Yeat is on the way,

(22:21):
ASKI is on the way. Mayno's getting married. We got
to figure out who's the bridesmaids are going to be.
All of that is way up.

Speaker 4 (22:29):
She's spilling it all this is yeaty way up.

Speaker 1 (22:35):
It's way up. But Angela, ye, I'm here, Mayne is here.
We just ate. We had a good time.

Speaker 13 (22:42):
I know.

Speaker 2 (22:43):
All right, let's get into some yet. Congratulations. Coila Ray
has given birth to her baby girl with trippy red,
so she posted some photos and yes, congratulations to her.

Speaker 1 (22:56):
The baby has a full head of here doing this.
Where were the phodes? Are the hare? And you still
got hair? We love that for you, all right? Now
push your t A new.

Speaker 2 (23:05):
Track that will likely be on the new Clips album,
Let God Sort Them Out has come out.

Speaker 1 (23:12):
Cried in front of me.

Speaker 13 (23:13):
You died in front of me.

Speaker 14 (23:15):
Calabasas took keep your snipping, your pride.

Speaker 4 (23:17):
In front of me.

Speaker 14 (23:18):
Her so your head moved right up the street and
her rough pop machine't need you to eat the net
gonna call it the way that they see it, But
I got the video. I can share an ae. They
wouldn't believe it, but I can't un see it. Lucky,
I ain't tmz it.

Speaker 10 (23:34):
So be it, so bis culture, so be it?

Speaker 15 (23:40):
So be it?

Speaker 1 (23:41):
All right?

Speaker 2 (23:42):
Well, yes, that song is called so be It, and
DJ had premiered the song on Instagram Live this week.
People are already talking about these lyrics because you heard
what he said. Yeah, you cried in front of me,
died in front of me, Calabasis took.

Speaker 1 (23:56):
It, and your pride in front of me.

Speaker 2 (23:59):
So people are wonder w ring what exactly happened there
between the two of them. You know, it feels like
a lot of people have fallen out with Kanye, but
he went so hard for him.

Speaker 1 (24:10):
It's just wild to see things like this happen. So,
you know, shout out to them though.

Speaker 2 (24:15):
I can't wait to see what this new Clips album
sounds like. Looking forward to it all right. And Beyonce,
it looks like she's going on tour again, So for
all of you Beyonce fans, she posted thank you, Sir
Paul McCartney for writing one of the best songs ever made.
Every time I sing it, I feel so honored and
it is a full circle moment to where your beautiful
daughters design. Thank you London for creating unforgettable memories for

(24:37):
me and my family. Hola action when I come on
tour again.

Speaker 1 (24:41):
So looks like that is.

Speaker 2 (24:44):
Referencing Act three eras the final installment of the three
part Renaissance project that she's doing. So they're saying this
Act three tour is likely on the way for everybody
that's excited.

Speaker 1 (24:54):
To go see Beyonce. That is one thing.

Speaker 2 (24:57):
One thing, you know, when Beyonce's in town, traffic is
going to be crazy because that's what it was like
here when Beyonce was in town. All right, And Gunna
is going to be co hosting a youth empowerment camp
in Texas, So shout out to him for giving back
and for a good cause. The two NFL stars that
he's going to be co hosting the event with include
offensive linemen for the Washington Commanders, a Laramie Tenseel in

(25:18):
Kansas City Chiefs Defenses, defensive end Charles Amane.

Speaker 1 (25:23):
Who is how you say it? Omen? And who? Okay?
All right, good.

Speaker 2 (25:25):
It's going to be one hundred and thirty kids in attendance,
four and a half hours of hands on football instruction
and life changing mentorship.

Speaker 1 (25:32):
So that's a beautiful thing, all right, And that is
your yee T.

Speaker 2 (25:35):
When we come back, we have asked yee eight hundred
two ninety two fifty one fifty any question you have.

Speaker 1 (25:40):
We're here to help.

Speaker 2 (25:41):
Maybe your co worker is eating and falling asleep at
work and has the itis and you don't know how
to handle it?

Speaker 1 (25:47):
What should you give them some coffee? Maybe? Eight hundred
two ninety two fifty one fifty ask ye any question
you have. We're here to help. It's way up.

Speaker 4 (25:56):
Everybody sens whether it's relationship with career advice, Angela's dropping facts.

Speaker 1 (26:04):
What's up?

Speaker 2 (26:04):
Its way up with Angela? Ye, and it's time to
ask ye. Eight hundred two ninety two fifty one fifty.
And today I'm with the award winning advice giving a
new man O and we have somebody who wants to
remain anonymous.

Speaker 1 (26:17):
What's your question?

Speaker 5 (26:18):
Okay, So I got a co worker. I work in
emergency services.

Speaker 1 (26:23):
Okay, nine one one you literally right?

Speaker 5 (26:26):
She literally falls a sweep.

Speaker 3 (26:28):
On the bone with Carlers.

Speaker 1 (26:30):
What crazy? Oh that's awful.

Speaker 5 (26:32):
I do not know what to do for here.

Speaker 12 (26:35):
I have the co worker because of the faith and
pool ourselves to the manager everything.

Speaker 15 (26:41):
I don't not know what to do to health this girl.

Speaker 12 (26:43):
And she is kind of like very overweight, so I
know that's like probably part.

Speaker 3 (26:48):
Of the issue.

Speaker 12 (26:49):
I'm not trying to talk to her about it.

Speaker 10 (26:50):
But like in a nice way, but I don't know
what to do.

Speaker 1 (26:54):
What's that disease? Where people fall asleep. It's narcaleptic.

Speaker 12 (26:58):
Yeah, yeah, I thought that too, But it's like I
thought taking it to the manager was going to do something.

Speaker 9 (27:04):
The manager literally just.

Speaker 11 (27:05):
Hits her home for a day.

Speaker 5 (27:06):
When she sleeps, the people in the room have to
pick up her work.

Speaker 1 (27:09):
Yeah, and then also she falls to sleep on a car.
It could be a matter of life or death.

Speaker 9 (27:13):
It usually is because there's nine one one.

Speaker 1 (27:16):
Is there anybody above the manager who you can talk to?

Speaker 2 (27:21):
You might have to do that, And before you do that,
just make sure it's documented that you went to the
manager and you try to handle it that way and
follow protocol.

Speaker 1 (27:30):
But this does feel like an alarming thing.

Speaker 2 (27:32):
So if you have to just like get a little
you know, evidence in case it comes up, yes, do
it to you. But it's okay if you fall asleep
here man, It's not like, yeah, nobody's life is in danger.
But I do understand that that's concerning not even just
the work that you'll have to pick up, but also

(27:53):
because damn, like somebody could be on the phone like
I he's about to do and she's sleep right.

Speaker 1 (28:00):
Yeah, So I think, yeah, manager, yeah.

Speaker 2 (28:05):
You did what you could do as long as you
can show like I did try to talk to the
manager and nothing happened.

Speaker 1 (28:09):
This is concerning.

Speaker 3 (28:11):
You know.

Speaker 1 (28:11):
You just gotta do that, but also make sure you
could back up what you say because people will deny stuff.
Oh yeah, I got to prove looks like you gotta snitch.

Speaker 11 (28:21):
It's okay.

Speaker 12 (28:21):
I don't know.

Speaker 1 (28:22):
People's us happy citizens. Thank you, yes, all right, thank
you for calling. Good luck?

Speaker 3 (28:27):
All right, thank you?

Speaker 1 (28:28):
All right.

Speaker 2 (28:29):
Well, you know what I gotta ask you this for
everybody listening. Have you ever had to report a coworker
eight hundred two nine two fifty one fifty. Some people
feel like that's a big no no, But sometimes you
gotta just do it, like report your coworker and how
did you handle that?

Speaker 1 (28:43):
And what happened?

Speaker 2 (28:44):
Eight hundred two nine two fifty one fifty. Have you
ever had to report a co worker? I might got
to report mine because he's sleeping on a job too,
all right. Eight hundred two nine two fifty one fifty.

Speaker 1 (28:54):
Call us up.

Speaker 2 (28:55):
It's way up, Turn me up, you we go upgain
This is way up with angela ye what's up? His
way up with Angela yee. And we are talking about
whether or not you've ever had to report. Well, you
don't never have to, but if you've ever reported a
coworker to HR or try to get something done, you
saw them doing something wrong. And I do want to
say that there are times that I'm like, dang, I

(29:17):
should have went to HR and made a record of this,
because I think even more than just reporting somebody, just
going on a record is very important when it comes
to protecting yourself in the workplace at times. But I
also know that that can at times come with retaliation,
which is why so many people hesitate. So we want
to hear your real life stories. If you've ever had
to report anybody to HR, Robin, have you ever had

(29:40):
to do that?

Speaker 10 (29:41):
I had to report a car worker, I report a
co worker.

Speaker 5 (29:45):
I reported the GM of the store as the owner.

Speaker 8 (29:49):
Because he's just nasty face. He doesn't change his clothes,
he doesn't wash his hands when he's come in the building.

Speaker 9 (29:56):
Whoa, he doesn't make other.

Speaker 11 (29:58):
People walk their hands either.

Speaker 1 (29:59):
That's just disgusting.

Speaker 11 (30:01):
Yeah, and today and yesterday they were serving me that
is that messed up, So we're still serving it.

Speaker 1 (30:08):
What happened after you reported them? Did they know it
was you?

Speaker 15 (30:11):
Yes?

Speaker 12 (30:11):
But I know it was me. What he did was
he started taking hours from me and changing.

Speaker 1 (30:16):
My job around.

Speaker 8 (30:18):
And he did that all he can do.

Speaker 11 (30:19):
Because Froggy's my last day, I'm going to just go
ahead and quit because he's recaliating on me.

Speaker 1 (30:24):
Oh see, I'm glad you said that, because that's what happens.
Sometimes people don't report their you know, manager or other
coworkers because there's retaliation and that's a shame that that
has to happen to you.

Speaker 12 (30:36):
Yes, but it's okay.

Speaker 8 (30:37):
So I'm gonna call the PDC on him. I'm calling
a healthy parment on him and everything.

Speaker 1 (30:42):
I just had to get to my in all right,
But thank you for sharing with us. Dang, this is
happening in real time every day. Hey, Samuel, So you
have to report a coworker, Yes, I did so.

Speaker 10 (30:55):
I worked for a bank.

Speaker 15 (30:56):
I have a coworker who started maybe about three weeks ago.
And in the bank, we have a button that pull
up offers for customers that swiped their credit cards, and
there's a little glitch in the system that I guess
she found out that she can take their offers and
convert it to her account, so she started doing that.
She trying get the benefits and then converted it into money.

(31:20):
So basically she's like stealing customer's credit card account.

Speaker 1 (31:24):
Yeah, she just started three weeks ago, so you reported her.

Speaker 15 (31:28):
So at first I was like, I told her, like
when I seen it the first time, I told her, like,
that's not cool, Like, you know, you can get her
trouble as a red flag in the system. She said
she didn't care because she was behind on bills anyway,
that's why she needed the job. So I told my manager,
which was a friend of her friends, that's how she
got the job.

Speaker 10 (31:46):
And then after that I saw them talking and I
saw her slip him like one hundred dollars bill noah.
So I was like, so if you were in on it,
like what the hell do you know? Like should I
take it up love, or like should I just like
leave it at that or just transfer to a different
branch just to be away from it.

Speaker 1 (32:06):
Geesh, I would get out of there. Is there anybody
else you could tell?

Speaker 15 (32:09):
I'm saying, there's the superintendent above the manager, But they
only come around like quarterly to check on everything in
the store and stuff. So it's like by that time
they could have gotten you know, a few million people
you know.

Speaker 1 (32:21):
Yeah, listen, you gotta tell it's either gonna be you
gotta go or they going what definitely gonna be me? Yeah, exactly,
So Dan, that's a shame. Ain't that crazy? You try
to do the right thing and then next thing you
know you and you're the one right right right. Well,
thank you for sharing with.

Speaker 10 (32:39):
Us, no problem, I appreciate it.

Speaker 2 (32:42):
Well, thank you guys for calling us up. And when
we come back, this is your show. So you have
the last word. It's way up.

Speaker 10 (32:49):
Take up the.

Speaker 4 (32:49):
Phone, tap in and get your voice heard. What the
word he is?

Speaker 1 (32:54):
The last word on Way Up with angela Ye? What's up?
His Way up with angela Ye? And we made it
it Tuesday, we made it.

Speaker 2 (33:03):
But again, you guys, wherever you are, just make sure
you're participating when it comes to voting.

Speaker 1 (33:09):
I know we have early voting here in New York
right now.

Speaker 2 (33:13):
We have ring choice voting, so we have five people
one through five that we can choose for a mayor,
but we also have other offices that we're choosing right
now when we go into vote. So everybody everywhere I
know these elections that have been going down, so just
be part of that conversation. Thank you guys for calling
into We talked about whether or not you've ever had
to report a coworker. We also today talked about if

(33:35):
it's unacceptable to accept a drink from somebody if you're
in a relationship.

Speaker 6 (33:39):
You're a relationship, decline.

Speaker 1 (33:41):
I think it depends.

Speaker 6 (33:43):
It depends you don't want that man in your face
and decline.

Speaker 1 (33:46):
It depends. Sometimes someone sends a drink over they're not
in your face.

Speaker 6 (33:49):
It's different scenario.

Speaker 1 (33:52):
But at any rate, as you know, this is your show,
so you have the last word.

Speaker 9 (33:58):
If she accept that, great she at least opened it
for a conversation, because it's like if you gave a
security deposit on an apartment, that means there's eligibility right there.
So don't let me give that drink. That's like a
security deposit, that's down payment, that's opening uphing the door.
So we should be able to have a conversation after that.

Speaker 8 (34:14):
I work in childcare. For me, I haven't reported a coworker,
but I have had to report my fault for downplaying
a child falling and hitting the chair on the floor
and their teeth came through the part right above their chin.
My boss called the parents and was like, Oh, she
just got a little scratch, just needs a band aid,
She's fine.

Speaker 5 (34:33):
Nope.

Speaker 12 (34:34):
I checked the parents myself and sold them they need
to come get their child because she was sverrely hurt.
Come to find out, the child needed four stitches in
her chin, and my boss then ended up not being
my boss one more
