Speaker 2 (00:06):
All right, his way up at Angela yee. My girl,
Jordy door is back.
Speaker 3 (00:11):
You were outside yesterday in my Girl Ellie.
Speaker 4 (00:17):
Yes, I was DJing for the Lipperty yesterday, which was
very fun.
Speaker 2 (00:22):
Ellie's like the best mascot ever.
Speaker 4 (00:24):
Truly, She's a vibe. We took really cute vities and
photos last night. She was in a DJ booth. She
was living her best life. She was she was eating
all the girls up on the dance floor like she
usually does.
Speaker 3 (00:36):
Ellie is no joke. All right, Well, I was out
last night too. We're both tired today.
Speaker 5 (00:40):
Where were you?
Speaker 2 (00:41):
I had to host a dinner.
Speaker 3 (00:42):
Oh that's right, Yeah, so I was out late. I'm exhausted,
but I'm happy that it's Friday. F Pinky Cole is
going to be joining us today, the founder of Slutty Vegan.
Speaker 2 (00:53):
Can I say that on the radio?
Speaker 5 (00:56):
No?
Speaker 2 (00:56):
I No I can.
Speaker 3 (00:57):
But you know she's on Real Housewives of Atlanta this season.
This is her first season on the show and a
lot going on. She also recently filed for bankruptcy and
then did the ABC's of bankruptcy.
Speaker 2 (01:07):
For all of us who don't know what that means.
Speaker 3 (01:09):
But let's start the show with some love and some
positivity and some Kilani. All right, how does that sound?
Because it's a new music Friday and she's got herself
titled album Killani out today, and she's got some amazing
features like this one we're about to play right now,
Killani featuring Big Sean lights On.
Speaker 5 (01:28):
Turn your lights on, y'all, spreading love to those who
are doing greatness. Shana light On, Shan light On.
Speaker 1 (01:36):
It's time to shine a light on its way.
Speaker 2 (01:39):
Ya Pudy Angela Yee.
Speaker 3 (01:40):
It's me and Jherttie George. I'm proud of you for
waking up after your long night.
Speaker 2 (01:44):
Thank you proud too.
Speaker 3 (01:46):
Today I want to shine a light on my guys, Shancee.
I hosted a dinner for him yesterday. Now, if you
don't know who shan See is, he is a DJ,
slash producer slash executive producer. He actually worked at Loud Record,
which was the label that Wu Tang was signed to
when I was working at Wu Tang for I've known
him for quite some time, but as a producer, he's
(02:06):
done some classics like can't knock the hustle for jay Z.
He's done work with remy Ma. He's executive produced Mob
Deep's album. You know that's a big deal. Also Big
pun Dead pres again, remy Ma, Terror Squad, all of
that exhibit. So he was getting his flowers yesterday but
some of the other things that he's been doing. That
(02:27):
dinner was actually in a place where they filmed Power
and it's Tommy's apartment in Power. Oh yeahft yeah with
all the huge windows. So Naori was there because Tuck
Jin sponsored it and she's an investor in that, and
she kept being like, and this is where Tommy killed.
It was actually kind of amazing. But he also coached
her to wrap in Queens. And then Jamie Hector was
(02:50):
there from the Wire but from Wu Tang and he
said that Shaunce also worked on that. So he's just
got a lot of accolades across the board. All right, now, Corey,
who do you want to shine a light on?
Speaker 6 (03:00):
So I just want to show out my younger brother.
You know, he's going through a lot right now. He's
on the teacha. He just off his sister yesterday and
his uncle and he's been through like I said, he's
been through a while. He did ten years in prison,
came home, his mother figure died while he was in prison.
He just agreed, Dad, he stepped up, he got jobs,
he's got career now, and it's just very sad faim
(03:21):
to be going through something like this. I just wanted
to send him all my love and prayers and just
let him know both the brother him, I couldn't imagine.
I couldn't imagine losing one of my siblings.
Speaker 2 (03:32):
To tell me about it.
Speaker 1 (03:34):
What's his name?
Speaker 6 (03:35):
His name is Johnny.
Speaker 2 (03:37):
Okay, Well, shout out to Johnny. Yeah, and I can't see.
Speaker 3 (03:40):
I see you're getting emotional about this as well, and
I know that's not easy losing his sibling.
Speaker 2 (03:45):
My heart goes out to him.
Speaker 6 (03:46):
I just want to send him all my loves and
prayers and hope that everybody can just do the same.
Speaker 2 (03:50):
Okay, we would definitely do the same.
Speaker 3 (03:52):
And one thing I say that somebody told me was
just make sure you check in with him. We offer
our deepest condolences. The best thing you can do is say,
if you need anything, let me know.
Speaker 7 (04:02):
I think you for hearing me out.
Speaker 3 (04:03):
I appreciate you all right, Thank you for calling love
love you too, and much loved to joy.
Speaker 5 (04:11):
Thank you all right, Well that.
Speaker 3 (04:13):
Was Shina Light eight hundred nine fifty one fifty just
in case you couldn't get through. When we come back,
we have your eat now, JORDI, would you pay six
thousand dollars for some ice?
Speaker 5 (04:22):
Absolutely not?
Speaker 2 (04:23):
Okay, Well some people are trying to sell ice.
Speaker 4 (04:26):
Well, we'll kind of ice physically ice.
Speaker 2 (04:28):
Or physical three ice.
Speaker 3 (04:29):
I mean, listen, we're gonna talk about it when we
come back. But you know this all has to do
with Iceman.
Speaker 1 (04:35):
It's way up from industry shade to all the gossip
out send Angela's feeling that eat.
Speaker 3 (04:42):
Yeah, it's way but Angela, yee, it's me and my girl.
Jordie Door DJ Jordy Door and Drake his fans are
now trying to sell ice from that whole Iceman structure
where you had to break the ice to find out
his release date. And one listing shows that somebody is
trying to sell a chunk of the ice for six
(05:03):
thousand dollars, And there's also other listings with people asking
for up to twenty five thousand dollars, but even bigger pieces.
All of them are saying they came from the ice
man structure and the warning signs that were placed around
the installation so that it was safe. Some of those
are also being flipped like merch. Some of them are
going for a few hundred dollars. So wow, So where's
(05:24):
Ovio Eli because I feel like he would be into that.
Speaker 4 (05:28):
I'm just like, did everybody just have spare picks lying
around that they were just chipping away at this big
old ice block.
Speaker 3 (05:35):
One thing that does show you, though, is the power
of obo Eli really shut up. One thing that really
does show you is the power of Drake. The fact
that he did this stunt and people are literally selling
Ice Crazy on eBay. Whether or not anyone's going to
buy it, it's still advertising for the album on the way.
Speaker 2 (05:53):
So there you have it.
Speaker 3 (05:55):
And since we're talking young money, let's talk about Nicki Minaj.
She is going to be on again at the annual
White House Correspondence Dinner. The Washington Times has reported that
she will be in attendance tomorrow and that galat is
at the Washington Hilton, and they also stated that Nelly
is going to be performing today ahead of the event
(06:16):
at the Executive Branch, where tickets are five hundred thousand dollars.
By the way, what the club is owned by Donald
Trump Junior. If you want to go, a ticket costs
five hundred thousand dollars.
Speaker 2 (06:26):
Wow.
Speaker 3 (06:28):
Now Nelly has been stating that he is not political,
and he's saying he's not telling people, Yo, you should
vote for this candidate. I think you should do your
homework and figure out what best helps you and the
people who you love and you provide for, because I'm
clueless on a lot of things when it gets down
to it. But he says he respects the office, and
he said this isn't politics. The politics for me is
over Trump one. He's the president. He is the commander
(06:50):
in chief of what I would like to say is
the best country in the world.
Speaker 4 (06:54):
Sure, jan I want the record to show that everything
is still political whether someone's in office or not. You're
paying taxes, it's political, period.
Speaker 3 (07:03):
Right, And doing things like this does mean that you
support you're co signing the person, because if you didn't
support them, you most likely Now his point is that
he's just saying that is the president, whether or not
you know you like him.
Speaker 2 (07:17):
But you can also say.
Speaker 4 (07:19):
I don't agree with the behavior or some of the
decisions that have been made in off this.
Speaker 3 (07:23):
Yeah, all right, So David, as you know, has gotten
arrested and prosecutors are claiming that he murdered Celesti Rivus,
who was his girlfriend.
Speaker 2 (07:31):
She was only fourteen years old.
Speaker 3 (07:33):
Well, his iPhone also has a ton of child pornography,
according to prosecutors.
Speaker 2 (07:38):
Allegedly.
Speaker 3 (07:39):
Prosecutors also said a wiretap was involved in the investigation
that took place last year, but they didn't give other
specifics on that. But there were three separate investigative grand
juries and those transcripts at some point will become available
for us to know exactly what happened. He's been charged
with murder and connection with her death, and charged with
lude and lascivious sexual acts with a person under fourteen
(08:02):
years old and the mutilation of a human body.
Speaker 2 (08:04):
Oh my goodness, that's a lot awful, awful.
Speaker 3 (08:07):
This is I can't even imagine what her family must
be feeling like to know that.
Speaker 2 (08:11):
This is how she passed.
Speaker 3 (08:13):
All right, Well, it is a new music Friday, and
so we're gonna tell you about new albums out today.

space mentally and financially. And so I know my family
and I know how they're gonna feel about it, so
I'm really trying to keep it myself. Hopefully they're not
listening to the show.
Speaker 3 (09:20):
How how do you feel about it? Aside from your family,
because I think that's what matters.
Speaker 2 (09:24):
The most.
Speaker 9 (09:26):
I'm really excited.
Speaker 5 (09:28):
Well that's good.
Speaker 4 (09:28):
I feel like that's the most important thing, and they're
gonna get used to it. They're gonna be happy about it.
When the baby's here, they're going to be just as excited.
You're not even gonna remember that they were hesitant or
reserved about the news.
Speaker 3 (09:39):
Keep it to yourself as long as you need to
until you feel like you're Remember this is your situation,
and honestly, no matter what you do, people judge you
in general, so you might as well do what makes
you happy.
Speaker 6 (09:53):
Yes, yes, you're right, and a lot.
Speaker 3 (09:55):
Of people's judgment is based off of their own fears
or situations or whatever. But also know that everybody's family
be talking crazy about them behind their back with anything. Okay,
So enjoy yourself, eat it up, take care of your body,
and the most important thing is a healthy baby.

Speaker 2 (10:44):

Good at what they say makes somebody want to.
Speaker 5 (10:54):
Have me any problems?
Speaker 7 (10:56):
I believe one tested also.
Speaker 3 (10:58):
I don't know what that could be, as did you
see anything crawling around? But again, it could be like
some type of fungal infection.
Speaker 2 (11:10):
Isn't that what they called jack itch? You had jack itch?
Speaker 1 (11:13):
Might be I've been working for It might be that it.
Speaker 3 (11:16):
Could be maybe your detergent or soap that you're using,
like some allergic reactions.
Speaker 7 (11:21):
I also think it was my soap.
Speaker 2 (11:23):
Oh did you use a different soap lately?
Speaker 10 (11:26):
I have?
Speaker 4 (11:27):
Okay, that definitely could be a factor.
Speaker 9 (11:29):
Could that be?
Speaker 3 (11:30):
Thank you, doctor Jordy. Yeah, well, thank you for sharing.
I'm sure other people out there have itchy testes too.

Speaker 5 (11:59):
Mama, And I love your mama so beautiful.
Speaker 3 (12:02):
And listen for tell us a secret. Dona had great
advice for the guys.
Speaker 5 (12:06):
Anybody takes my advice is going to be in trouble.
Speaker 2 (12:10):
Okay, all right, don't take that. But you no advice
about itching down below?
Speaker 5 (12:13):
Disrespectful?
Speaker 3 (12:15):
All right, But when we come back, we have your
yee tea, and Donna is here, and the Michael Jackson movie.
Michael Jackson's son Prince is reacting.
Speaker 2 (12:23):
Yes, Dona, No, I'm.
Speaker 5 (12:25):
So when I hear that, because he actually personally invited
me to come to that premiere.
Speaker 2 (12:29):
We're going to talk about this in a minute, how
I met him.
Speaker 3 (12:32):
All right, it's way up, angels, feeling that yee tea,
Come and get your tea. Oh, Jordy Jor is here,
and dinew Rollins is in the billet.
Speaker 2 (12:44):
Okay, I got you something. Oh, thank you? Oh what
is this?
Speaker 5 (12:50):
All right?
Speaker 3 (12:50):
Well, thanks for the gift. You're going to like it,
all right, this is it's not a surprise, all right, Okay,
I mean he is a surprise, but not a big surprise.
We're going to talk about it in the second because
Donnelle Land is coming up.
Speaker 2 (13:01):
I just bought my flights.
Speaker 5 (13:02):
Donnelle Land is four days of family activity for the
entire family of Yellow Springs, Ohio. People ask you what
Donnelle Land does. Donnelle bridges again, Donnelle Land bridges the
gap between the older and young to make memories for
a lifetime. And that's to kickball, nature walks, kayaking, comedy show,
river run, sound bad. There's a whole bunch of things.
Speaker 2 (13:21):
It's an experience.
Speaker 5 (13:22):
It's an experience, a good spend and it's like the
fifth year, sixt year.
Speaker 3 (13:25):
Well, and now how does this correlate to the story
we're about to do. I'm gonna tell you in a second.
Because that Michael Jackson movie, so the Walk Up for
Michael Jackson is doing amazing. People went to go see
that movie and there it made twelve between twelve point
five and thirteen point five million dollars already. All right,
so that's in previews right now, Running Tomatoes. The audience
(13:48):
score is ninety six percent, So people are loving this movie.
There's been a lot of things happening behind the scenes
that a lot of controversy behind the scenes. But Michael
Jackson Prince has reacted to this movie and also seeing
his cousin Jaffar Jackson portraying Michael Jackson.
Speaker 2 (14:07):
And here's what he said.
Speaker 11 (14:09):
The first time that I saw him in person in
his hair and makeup was really an emotional shock because
I had not seen my father in a long time,
and to see him Jafar just embodied him and brought
him back in that moment.
Speaker 2 (14:23):
Imagine that, right, A great compliment.
Speaker 3 (14:25):
Now, another thing that he said was that he feels
his father was misunderstood.
Speaker 11 (14:30):
I think that my father is probably one of the
most misunderstood people out there, and I hope that you
get a glimpse into the life and the cause and
effect that made him who he was.
Speaker 3 (14:42):
Well, this movie is breaking records. Now, Dunna, you said
that you actually met Prince.
Speaker 5 (14:46):
I met him when I was doing well. I was
doing activities out in Yellow Springs, Ohio, and I think
he well that didn't think he came out to check
out Dave. I guess Dave Dave Chappelle Dave Chappelle, and
he had just got off a flight. It was like
seven o'clock in the morning, and I was like, oh, man,
that's Prince John and right, and I thought he be like,
don't bother me, blah blah blah blah or any of that.
And he was with his girlfriend at the time. I think,
who is his wife now? And I was like, yo, man,
(15:08):
I want to take you on the river. You going
on the river? Nothing, no diddy stuff for people like
what are you doing on the river? But I was
just well because people like because people were like, what
was you guys doing on the river? But we went up,
we we went on the river run. I connected with
him then, and then the thing that he appreciated the
most was the love that he saw the connection I
had with my son. And I don't know if that
(15:28):
kind of reminded him of either the things he didn't
do with his dad or things that he wanted to
do with his dad. So we over the years, we
kept in touch with each other, and then when they
announced that this movie was coming out, he actually gave
me a personal invite to go to the premiere, which
I thought was you know, your publicism and these people
that try to get to this stuff. But when Michael
Jackson's son texts you or or dims you and say, yo,
(15:49):
I wish you would come out to the show or
come out to a payment, I thought that was something special.
And I think the guy's character, he's just such a
such a good kid, and I wish him and his
family and his brothers and sister the best. With this.
I wasn't I was here. I was I was promoting
something here. I was really upset. I would love to
do that. But on another note, and going back to
the fatherhood thing, he was like, YO, next time you're
(16:10):
in LA, I want you to come to the house.
I have Donner and bring your son over there. And
you know, we just.
Speaker 2 (16:17):
All right.
Speaker 5 (16:18):
But he's absolutely right when.
Speaker 2 (16:19):
He said but he's actually.
Speaker 5 (16:23):
When his father probably was one of the most misunderstood people.
We cannot imagine what it feels like to be Michael
Jackson as a kid, always under the magnifying glass. People
make up these stories about you, no proof of it,
and just their assumption. But at the end of the day,
Michael Jackson is the greatest. He's a legend, and I
(16:46):
you know, it's so interesting when you see like kids today,
like five or six year old six year olds doing
some of his dances and stuff. His music is going
to live on Forevernum.
Speaker 3 (16:55):
But we'll talk more about that when we come back.
We have under the radar. These are the stories that
are not in the headlines. They're flying on a the radar,
but you need to know about them. One of them
is all about deed theft and people being taken advantage
of gentrification.
Speaker 2 (17:08):
It's way up position.
Speaker 1 (17:09):
The news that relates to you. These stories are flying
under the radar, all right.
Speaker 2 (17:14):
His way up with Angela yee oh, this is a
nice panel.
Speaker 3 (17:16):
Jordy George forming a city winery Friday, two shows and
two shows tomorrow.
Speaker 5 (17:23):
Creative shows are sold out. To make sure you get
tho last one.
Speaker 3 (17:25):
Minutes and no, I don't forget this is last. I
need you to make sure you're not I'm cuss, I.
Speaker 5 (17:29):
Don't say thold words and things like I.
Speaker 3 (17:31):
Don't I'm anyway. So one under the radar story that
I really want to bring attention to this has been
something that's been happening in black and brown neighborhoods is
deed theft. Now, Mom, Donnie, our mayor here in New York,
has established the Office of Deed Theft Prevention and also
named a long time homeowner.
Speaker 2 (17:50):
Assistance lawyer as the director.
Speaker 3 (17:52):
But this has been such a widespread thing, and in particular,
a case that has gone viral is in Brooklyn two
twelve Jefferson Avenue. Now people are wondering, how can you
steal somebody's property from them?
Speaker 2 (18:03):
Right? How does that even happen?
Speaker 3 (18:05):
Well, in this particular case, the property was purchased by
a group two twenty seven Group LLC based in Long
Island City. They purchased this property for one point four
million dollars. Now, if you know Brooklyn, this brownstone is
probably worth about three at least three million dollars. So
what they normally do is they contact the distant airs
(18:26):
of recently deceased property owners, encourage them to claim partial ownership,
and then they tend to target older homes and black
and brown neighborhoods, and then they pay those distant airs
a small sum for that partial share and then use
that as leverage to evict people or to force a
sale of the home. Now, in this particular case, Carmela Charrington,
(18:46):
who lives in the house and has had this in
her family for generations. She was taken into custody during
an appearance in court, no criminal record. She was on
Rikers Island for days because they were trying to get
her out of her home. And I guess what happened
when she has an older relative who had partial ownership,
but he was under guardianship and so they started liquidating
(19:08):
his assets. And then what they do is they swoop
in because you can see when somebody recently has so.
Speaker 5 (19:14):
It seems like these things target mostly older people. That's
like probably at the end of here.
Speaker 3 (19:20):
Are they or they see if somebody has partial ownership
and then they target them. There's a lot of different ways.
Sometimes they forge signatures. All kinds of things can happen,
but it's good to see that and this is something
that happens not just in New York but all around.
So maybe this is going to be something that has
to happen nationally. A deed theft prevention office and sometimes
they can also target and see if you're in pre
(19:40):
foreclosure and then say hey, let's go knock on that
person's door who was in a dire situation and say
we're going to help them, have them signed some paperwork,
they don't know what they're signing, and next thing you know, they.
Speaker 2 (19:50):
Lose their property.
Speaker 3 (19:52):
Said yeah, really sad thing, especially in these gentified neighborhoods.
Speaker 2 (19:56):
Yeah, so and bedsty is that.
Speaker 5 (19:58):
The neighborhoods were just two o'clock in the morning. That's
where you know your neighborhood is switching over when.
Speaker 3 (20:05):
You see somebody in a hammock, a white person in
a hammock. Oh you know, because I've seen that, you
get mad.
Speaker 5 (20:13):
It's true.
Speaker 2 (20:14):
That's how I knew my neighborhood. You said, hammock, come off,
not a hamhock. A hammock.
Speaker 3 (20:22):
All right, Well, the way Up mix is at the
top of the hour plus. Speaking of Hamhock's vegan restaurant owners,
Slutdy Vegan Pinky Cole is going to be joining us.
Speaker 2 (20:31):
She's on Real Housewives of Atlanta. It's way up.
Speaker 1 (20:35):
How she came with receipts. It's time to spill that,
y eat what's up his way up?
Speaker 2 (20:40):
But Angela, yee, I'm here.
Speaker 3 (20:41):
With Jordie Door and down now rowlinge. Rather, let's get
into this, Yea te so ex University of Michigan head
Football coach Sharon Moore. He had that drama where he
ended up getting probation for misdemeanors. Criminal charges against him
were dropped. But just to refresh you on the story,
he has eighteen months probation for two misdemeanors. He pleaded
(21:03):
no contest to trespassing and malicious use of a telecommunications device.
And that's all because he had a relationship. He had
an affair. He had a mistress, a snow one. She
was also an assistant at that time.
Speaker 2 (21:14):
Nobody called it what it was Paige shiver and.
Speaker 5 (21:17):
She didn't know how to leave, you know what she
was singing in the midnight hour. She wanted more more.
Speaker 3 (21:26):
Well, she said he broke into her apartment crying, yelling,
and Race came at her with knives.
Speaker 2 (21:30):
She said she feared for her life.
Speaker 3 (21:33):
Now, he came to the hearing with his wife when
that happened, and so, you know, like I said, the
criminal charges were dropped. There was more evidence that was presented.
But now Paige Shiverer just did an interview with ABC
News where she said she actually was pregnant with his
baby at a certain time and she wanted to keep
it but couldn't listen to this.
Speaker 10 (21:53):
Multiple doctors and experts told me that it wasn't it,
I mean right.
Speaker 1 (22:01):
For me to keep the baby that you want to.
Speaker 2 (22:05):
She also says that she was manipulated.
Speaker 10 (22:11):
Every time I tried to pull away, he always had
a story, always had a way to pull me in
and making me feel that I couldn't leave him because
he was so miserable without me.
Speaker 3 (22:25):
Now, she did admit that at the University of Michigan
tell people that they weren't dating, and she said she
was trying to protect him.
Speaker 5 (22:31):
You know, so sad, Angeline, because when I hear the
stories like this, the first thing I say to myself, Angela,
is that that thing must have been fired.
Speaker 4 (22:39):
What where did you get that from?
Speaker 5 (22:41):
To keep coming back and keep coming back and keep
coming back. You don't go back from the whack situation.
You go back when it's Cardi b had a song
and she said, I don't cook, I don't clean, but
let me show, and that's what is She had the
wop and it just threw him off. Wop can get
you a little disranged.
Speaker 2 (22:58):
Well, I'm sure he regrets everything that he.
Speaker 5 (23:00):
Did, regret it, but also I think he was like.
Speaker 2 (23:03):
God has that happened to you.
Speaker 5 (23:05):
Yes, I've been whipped before. Okay, yeah, yeah it was
and I was like, what is that? I don't know.
I was like, why do I want to keep coming back?
Because the energy, the synergy or whatever those fly words
are used, it was fire and I just couldn't resist.
And I kept going back and back and.
Speaker 4 (23:21):
Back and back and worth risking your career over?
Speaker 5 (23:24):
Okay, that's a different story. I didn't risk cocaine. I
didn't know that career. I didn't ever. I was building career,
so I didn't. Don't worry. Don't worry about it. I've
never been trashed. I've been some performances.
Speaker 2 (23:39):
Strongest got you, but.
Speaker 5 (23:41):
That comes with honey back.
Speaker 3 (23:46):
Now let's talk about Candy Bursts, because you know it
is a new music Friday. And she said she had
done this folded challenge quite a while ago but hadn't
posted it until now.
Speaker 2 (23:55):
She loves the song here. Oh yeah, we didn't even
play it. I heard it anyway. Listen to this, so
come pick up your.
Speaker 3 (24:06):
I don't buck on my Josh.
Speaker 2 (24:17):
So she said she was going through so much personally
she didn't think that.
Speaker 5 (24:19):
She should that song you could feel of going through it.
Speaker 3 (24:22):
I want to say though the rest of it sounds
better than the hook.
Speaker 4 (24:26):
Yeah, the bars are borring. She can write her eyes off.
Speaker 5 (24:29):
Well, you know what.
Speaker 3 (24:30):
Speaking of new music Friday, when we come back, that's
what we're doing. We're going to talk about what new
songs out.
Speaker 5 (24:34):
Please don't again, Please don't play.
Speaker 2 (24:36):
It again, Donah, you're folded right now.
Speaker 5 (24:38):
Please okay, don't that song?
Speaker 3 (24:41):
Gosh When we come back, and we're also going to
talk to Donelle today because you have a lot going on.
Speaker 2 (24:46):
Yes, Donnell Land, it's way up and I beg.
Speaker 5 (24:49):
About to do this one of theos to famous women
in radio audio.
Speaker 1 (24:52):
We're talking about angela Ye. You're way up with angela Ye.
Please believe that.
Speaker 2 (24:57):
Well that was some new Calinie. I know you're loving it.
Speaker 3 (24:59):
Her Out Them is out self titled Kilini today and
that was should Have Never featuring Usher and I am
here with Jordie George guest hosting.
Speaker 2 (25:09):
Done Rowlands popped up.
Speaker 5 (25:10):
On us, Daniel popped up, popped in, pop out? Well,
what did it say? Pop up? What is that? My
son in my cool Swayian say something? Pop up? Whatever?
Speaker 2 (25:18):
Where's you're embarrassing austin your son.
Speaker 5 (25:23):
What I was talking about.
Speaker 3 (25:24):
And my sister Linda's here too. Let's talk about Donnelle
Lamb for a second. And this is something that I
actually was there for the first ever, Donnelle Land, and
this is in Yellow Springs, so high yew.
Speaker 5 (25:33):
This is how we started. During the pandemic. We used
to do those cornfield shows a day Dave Chappelle. But
I realized that people was there didn't have a lot
of activity that was going on. So I started creating
things that we went on nature walks and we did
canoeing and like kickball and stuff. And then after like
the world kind of opened back up, I just kind
of wanted to continue. And Donnelle Land, this is how
I explained it in a sentence or two how many words,
(25:56):
Donnelle Lamb bridges the gap between the young and old
to create memories for a lifetime. But what that said,
and we had this conversation that a lot of people
they appreciative of these things like you do Angela you day,
but they don't know how much work it takes. And
that's where Linda comes in, being my project manager for
the last two years.
Speaker 2 (26:14):
All right, so break it down for us.
Speaker 12 (26:16):
So the goal here for me was to take his
vision and keep building on it through collaborations. Right, So
this year we're collaborating with Gail Perry Mason, so we
want to It's Wednesday, yes, so throughout the weekend we
will be educating our kids to be empowered to utilize money.
And these are all under Austin, so he's hosting it.
Speaker 5 (26:38):
Yes.
Speaker 12 (26:38):
So we have the Austin Night Out this year, which
is gonna be old school and new school games.
Speaker 2 (26:43):
And how old is Austin again, ten ten and I
love this.
Speaker 12 (26:47):
We're going to have a halftime show for the public
to see and Sunday Funday is completely free.
Speaker 3 (26:53):
So it's for families and people of all ages can
actually everybody because.
Speaker 5 (26:58):
Families the younger kids play dates with that not too
much where it's interacted with everybody. We're taking it back
to old school like things, simplest, the three legged, three
stuffy stuff where you know it didn't involve a lot
of money, but just bringing people together. Sunday Funny is
one of my favorite parts Monday. We do and and
(27:19):
it's kind of hard to pitch it to black people.
We do we do a river run leave for that.
Basically we go on the river and just float down
the river.
Speaker 2 (27:27):
But it's not.
Speaker 5 (27:31):
Yes, this one. We do have some tubes and it's
just a fun, fun experience. Like that's one of my
favorite parts of is to end it with the river
run and then we have a live podcast and then
we have a barbecue after that.
Speaker 2 (27:42):
It's a lot of.
Speaker 3 (27:45):
And we have to do everything you can come and like,
because I know I probably missed one thing at least.
This whole weekend though, is open to the public. So
where can people get down a land tickets if they
want to come out.
Speaker 12 (27:55):
At donnollands dot com website.
Speaker 3 (27:57):
All right, well, thank you so much for all that information.
I know Rowlands dot com. And when we come back,
Pinky Coal is going to be joining us. She's the
owner and founder of Slutti Vegan. Y'all know, she's been
in a lot of the headlines lately and she's also
my Real Housewives of Atlanta.
Speaker 2 (28:09):
This did sherupt, yes, and she's going to talk about
all of that.
Speaker 5 (28:13):
She's been trolling with Perry's and spoofs and all types
of Yeah.
Speaker 2 (28:17):
It's your type of person.
Speaker 5 (28:19):
It's way up.
Speaker 1 (28:20):
This is way up with Angela.
Speaker 2 (28:22):
Ye, what's up?
Speaker 3 (28:23):
Is way up with Angela yee and look as you're
looking fabulous today.
Speaker 2 (28:27):
Pinky Cole is here.
Speaker 5 (28:28):
Hello, the like this is my second home.
Speaker 3 (28:31):
I love that for us. But things are so different now.
We got like a million things going on with you, Pinky.
We do, yes, I mean, you're your Housewives of Atlanta.
Speaker 2 (28:41):
Now I am. Last time, my son was just a rumor.
But how are you feeling?
Speaker 3 (28:44):
I mean, so far three episodes have aired, we're getting
ready for episode four to come on.
Speaker 2 (28:49):
How are you feeling about the looks? I feel good.
Speaker 5 (28:52):
Have you watched it? Girl?
Speaker 2 (28:53):
Of course I have.
Speaker 8 (28:54):
Okay, So I feel good because it's definitely something new
for me. You know, people know me for having Slutdy Vegan.
They know me for being an entrepreneur and doing all
these things. So like being in front of the camera
is like definitely something different. Because I watched the show,
of course, I got to dig in. So what's happening
on the show?
Speaker 2 (29:12):
Okay?
Speaker 3 (29:13):
Number one, they try to say that you eat meat?
You know, how do you respond to something like that
or do you well?
Speaker 8 (29:17):
First of all, it bothered me at first, but then
after a while I'm like, all right, yeah, I'm a
thick vegan.
Speaker 5 (29:21):
I'm a little thick.
Speaker 8 (29:22):
I got some turkey with my bones, no bun intendent,
But I mean the people that know me know to
kind of meat.
Speaker 5 (29:28):
I right, right, Okay, that meet us called Duryeah.
Speaker 3 (29:31):
Let's say that that meet us at home?
Speaker 2 (29:34):
Will all them kids you be popping out exactly right?
Speaker 8 (29:38):
But you know the people who know no, right, I've
been vegan for a very long time, and I don't
play about veganis I'm right, like beyond having a business,
this is my lifestyle and who I am.
Speaker 2 (29:46):
So that did boy?
Speaker 10 (29:47):
You?
Speaker 3 (29:47):
Because I was wondering if that's something You're just like
kind of laugh off.
Speaker 8 (29:50):
I for like zero point five seconds and then okay,
I'm like girl.
Speaker 3 (29:53):
Right now I'm talking to Pinky, co founder and owner
of Slutty Vegan but also cast member on Real Housewives
of Atlanta. You and Faedra. You guys haven't known each
other for fifteen years. What is the issue?
Speaker 8 (30:05):
But I don't know what the issue is with Adria
And I'm not about to take up time and this's
interview to talk about Fadri because that's not relevant to Well.
Speaker 3 (30:11):
I'm just saying because you guys are on the show
together and so we see y'all bumping heads with each other.
Speaker 5 (30:16):
I'm bumping. Ain't nothing bumping? Okay, ain't nothing bump.
Speaker 2 (30:20):
How have you been feeling about the audience response to
you on there?
Speaker 8 (30:24):
You know, I think that the audience is treating me
just like they would treat any new rookie, right, Like
you're still trying to figure out, like, who's this person?
Speaker 5 (30:32):
Why do we want to like her? What is it
about her a special?
Speaker 8 (30:34):
You know, people won't have their opinions. I'm getting good,
healthy feedback. A lot of people like my realness to
real story.
Speaker 2 (30:40):
I've seen that.
Speaker 3 (30:40):
I've seen a lot of people saying I love her
as an addition to the show because it's real and
it's also relatable and because you give so much of yourself.
Speaker 8 (30:48):
And then there's people it's like she don't fit. I
don't fit, and that's why it's the perfect fit. I'm
not fit, like I don't look like them, I don't
act like them.
Speaker 5 (30:55):
My energy is different.
Speaker 8 (30:56):
I'm on another frequency, but that is exactly why it
works amongst this group.
Speaker 3 (31:00):
Do you feel like you've made friends on there that
you weren't necessarily Okay?
Speaker 2 (31:04):
What do you like the best.
Speaker 8 (31:06):
Love kay Love, Kelly loves Shamiyah, I love Portia.
Speaker 5 (31:10):
Now.
Speaker 3 (31:10):
Kelly also was like she had reached out to you,
and obviously you were going through a lot though, and
people have to understand that too, and people sometimes don't
know that you're going through a lot. But it was
devastating for her too because we're watching her business open
and then we know in real life she's faced her
challenges as well.
Speaker 2 (31:27):
Do you guys bond over that we do?
Speaker 8 (31:29):
It's a lot of trauma bonding has happening ver failed businesses, y'all. Okay,
you know what I like about Kelly is Kelly like,
all right, let's keep it moving. One thing that all
the women do really well is they know how to
just keep going, like it could be hard today and
you just start over tomorrow, and there's nothing wrong with
starting over, right, Like she got the best fried green
(31:49):
tomatoes on this side of the hemisphere.
Speaker 5 (31:52):
Okay, that's the only thing that I tasted.
Speaker 8 (31:54):
So yeah, she may have closed Sandy Springs, but she's
doing incredibly well in her next location, and she's going
to do even better as she opens up more locations.
And that's the name of the game. I've closed several locations.
That don't mean that I'm a failed businesswoman. That means
that that location didn't work.
Speaker 3 (32:07):
And that's okay, yes, right now talking to Pinky co
entrepreneur and now she is a reality star in Real
Housewives of Atlanta. You know her from Slutdy Vegan. We
have more when we come back. It's way up.
Speaker 5 (32:18):
We got to do this.
Speaker 1 (32:19):
One of the most famous women in radiodiopen. We're talking
about Angela ye. You're way up with Angela Yee. Please
believe that what's.
Speaker 3 (32:27):
Up his way up at Angela Yee and Pinky Cole
is here, owner and founder of Slutty Vegan. But she's
also on Real Housewives of Atlanta this season. Now, we
also saw that you were in your lawyer's office talking
about filing for bankruptcy. It's interesting because we know you've
already done it, but we're watching the beforehand. Of course,
that's an emotional thing. This is your business, this is
(32:47):
your baby. We know how hard you've worked to build
a one hundred million dollar business. But one thing that
was strange was that you hit this from Derek. You're
so transparent everywhere else, but with your husband. You didn't
want him to know those challenges, So can you explain
that to me? Because he's so supportive. You guys have
a great relationship. He's there for you no matter what.
(33:08):
But this was something you felt like you needed to
do alone.
Speaker 5 (33:10):
So I want to be clear.
Speaker 8 (33:11):
Derek knew that I was having challenges, right, He just
didn't know about the bankruptcy like he But my decisions
of how bankruptcy is a really big one. When I
met Derek, I was already successful on my own. He
was already successful on his own. So those are the
things that attracted us to each other. I didn't want
him to see me in a different light, to be honest, right,
And you know there are some women out here that
(33:32):
will probably say, well, you still should have told your husband. Well,
I didn't tell mine, right, and it is what it is,
and it didn't change the way that he felt about me.
But I want him to see a soldier in his
eyes now. Should he support me and be there for me? Absolutely?
And I know that if I follow on my face,
he will scrape me up if I need him to.
Speaker 3 (33:49):
Right now, I'm talking to Pinky, co founder and owner
of Slutty Vegan but also cast member on Real Housewives
of Atlanta with the bankruptcy, and which is really a restructuring.
Speaker 2 (33:59):
What is it that you want to do moving forward?
Speaker 8 (34:01):
What I'm planning to do, I'm doing right now franchising.
I've already closed several deals already. Now let me ask
you about this too.
Speaker 3 (34:08):
Now, we also saw the situation where the house right
was seized by the bank. But they did that and
they weren't supposed to. It wasn't your primary home. This
was an investment property and the house was to be
turned to you.
Speaker 2 (34:21):
Well, you're in real estate, so you get it.
Speaker 5 (34:23):
The house.
Speaker 8 (34:24):
They actually deemed it abandoned because the tenant wasn't in
there at the time, so they put the lots on
the door.
Speaker 5 (34:29):
But I don't know that they knew.
Speaker 8 (34:30):
That I filed for personal bankers, okay, which is why
I was able to get my house back so fast.
Speaker 5 (34:35):
The grass didn't get cut.
Speaker 8 (34:36):
And then I didn't realize the mailbox was broken, so
I'm gonna assume that's why they changed the locks. But
we went to court in two days and I got
my property back. You know what's interesting, I realized that
the internet loves struggle.
Speaker 5 (34:47):
Okay.
Speaker 8 (34:48):
Here it is like this is just one of my
investment properties and they showing my primary home on the
end of thatt I'm like, what's going on?
Speaker 5 (34:55):
Right?
Speaker 1 (34:55):
Right?
Speaker 8 (34:56):
But it just tells me that like headlines are made up,
they are not real, right.
Speaker 3 (35:00):
I did say Tamar reached out and was like, she
canna stay in my townhouse, which is amazing that she
actually care.
Speaker 2 (35:06):
She didn't really know what was going on, but she
saw that and was.
Speaker 8 (35:08):
Like, I want to help my friend, but but I
need more friends like that, yeah, right, because like she
she didn't even know what was going on, Like, hey,
if you need somewhere to stay, you know what I'm saying.
But what I realized, everything that has happened to me
has happened for me. I've been laid on the cross,
but my skin so thick now.
Speaker 5 (35:25):
I'm like, I see some of the headlines and I'll
be laughing. I'm like, you don't even realize.
Speaker 8 (35:28):
The more that y'all talk, Right, the more that y'all talk,
the more opportunities that I get, The more money in
my pocket, the more my business increases, the more everything grows.
So my lesson to entrepreneurs are people who are faced
with public scrutiny is the negative ain't always negative. You
can always turn it into a positive. I'm seeing it
in real time in my businesses. Well, thank you so much, Picky.
(35:49):
I appreciate you and you know I'm always cheering you on.
Speaker 3 (35:51):
You know, I go to study Vegan in Brooklyn, you know,
so I'm a fan.
Speaker 5 (35:56):
I appreciate you and I'm proud of you too.
Speaker 3 (35:57):
Definitely watched that fo interview on my YouTube chat Away
Up with Ye and when we come back, this is
your show, so you have the last word, get your
voice heard.
Speaker 1 (36:06):
What the word is the last word? On Way Up

Speaker 3 (36:31):
What they're in for, they don't about it, and they
never go out to stuff like that. So I'm excited
they're coming out, all right, as long as you're not cooking, and.
Speaker 4 (36:40):
I'm not saying, where are you DJ DJ have mister
Purple's rooftop this weekend?
Speaker 2 (36:46):
Can they come after City Winery.

Speaker 3 (36:51):

seen Dona fall asleep in a party.
Speaker 2 (36:57):

Speaker 5 (36:58):

Speaker 3 (37:02):
Thank you the Pinky Cole for joining us wat Step

and this is your show, so you have the last word.
Speaker 7 (37:10):
