I'm aware, yeah, And so I was like, can you
do me a favor and just massage right here?

Speaker 4 (00:25):
Is that bad? And you did?

Speaker 2 (00:28):
You said it was cracking, and it it was cracking.
It weird my right shoulder. But anyway, you were like,
why didn't you ask Navy to do it? And I
was like, because that is definitely a harass potential. Yes,
And I was like, then he goes to HR like massages,
you know. So that's why there's a lot of things
that's inappropriate at work to ask somebody.

Speaker 4 (00:50):
You can't just ask somebody to give you a massage.

Speaker 3 (00:52):
I can ask you, yeah, because I don't work there technically.

Speaker 4 (00:54):
And plus like you know yeah, I like.

Speaker 2 (00:56):
But anyway, it is a wealth Wednesday, and so later
on we're actually gonna take your calls live about the
goals that you have financially this year. I have some too,
and really based on recent occurrences in my life. So
we'll talk about that, but let's shine a light eight
hundred and two ninety two fifty one fifty.

Speaker 4 (01:13):
I want to shine a light on somebody.

Speaker 2 (01:15):
When we come back that has quietly gone through some
things in her life, but she has bounced back.

Speaker 4 (01:19):
Will tell you about it. It's way up.

Speaker 5 (01:21):
I'm a shin.

Speaker 6 (01:22):
I'm turn your lights on y'all, spreading love to those
who are doing greatness. Sha light on them, shine light
on It's time to shine a light on them.

Speaker 2 (01:34):
Yes it is I Angela Yee and me Ke Wood
and it's time to shine a light today. We want
to shine a light on Big Boss Vet and now
I love Big Boss Vets. She's done lifts service before
and she just revealed that she privately had a battle
with cancer and she has emerged triumphant from that battle.
She is a survivor. She went on social media to

(01:57):
reveal she was cancer free. She said, if you would
have told me I'd be beating cancer asked in twenty
twenty six, I wouldn't have believed you.

Speaker 4 (02:04):
We did it, y'all.

Speaker 2 (02:05):
And then she put up a video of herself walking
down the hospital Hallway and she had on a pink
hat and a pink T shirt that said f cancer
on the front of it.

Speaker 4 (02:13):
So also her pretty girls walk. You know, that's my
song all pretty girls Walk like things.

Speaker 2 (02:19):
Yayay, Hey, so perfect. So shout out to you, big
buss Bet and congratulations. I can't even imagine how difficult
that is.

Speaker 4 (02:30):
And you know, she was.

Speaker 2 (02:31):
Still on social media during the time of that happening.
But sometimes you don't want to let people know what's
going on.

Speaker 3 (02:38):
Yeah, because then you get a lot of you speaking
about it all day and all day yeah.

Speaker 4 (02:41):
Yeah, So shout out to you, big buss Vet. Now, Jerry,
who do you want to shine a light on?

Speaker 7 (02:46):
Oh, my friend Mayras Hill who just graduated from US
University New Bunswick.

Speaker 2 (02:53):
Okay, all right, and tell us about why you guys
just says good friends.

Speaker 8 (02:57):
Oh man, I'm going to do girls.

Speaker 7 (02:59):
For eighty years, she's been dead. We've been dead for
each other. Twenty twenty five for some very difficult year
for her. She guy had heartbroken, you know, and it
was hard, had to get to school, you know. So
I wanted to tell him I'm proud to have for
going through it and still pushing to the finish line.
I'm so proud of her.

Speaker 2 (03:20):
That's how we need good friends. To Lena, and let
me tell you something. That heartbreak will make you physically ill.
So thank god, I know, lady, you know, I'll tell you.

Speaker 7 (03:30):
And Happy bird Day to Angela.

Speaker 4 (03:32):
Yees, well, thank you. I appreciate it all right. Happy
New Year.

Speaker 7 (03:35):
Thank you your guys, thank you.

Speaker 2 (03:38):
That would shine a light eight hundred and two ninety
fifty one fifty. Call us up and let us know
who you want to shine a light on. We can
get that on the last word. And when we come back,
we got to your yet and little Derek who knew
that he spent one hundred and thirty one days in
solitary confinements.

Speaker 4 (03:53):
We shall, yes, we'll give you the details.

Speaker 6 (03:54):
It's way up from industry shade to all of us
out sending Angela's feeling all.

Speaker 2 (04:01):
Right, his way up.

Speaker 4 (04:02):
But Angela, yee, I'm here, our keen Witz is here.
Why are you looking at me like that?

Speaker 3 (04:06):
Because what we're about to talk about, well.

Speaker 4 (04:08):
First let's talk about little Dirk.

Speaker 2 (04:09):
He is in solitary confinement and I did not know this,
but he's been there for one hundred and thirty one days,
and according to reports, it's over an Apple Watch. His
attorneys filed emotion requesting a status hearing. They said he's
been held without process and violation of federal regulations and
potentially the Eighth Amendment. So allegedly, they said he was

(04:30):
found in possession of that unauthorized Apple Watch, and he's
confined to a very small jail cell, just large enough
for a single bed, a toilet, and a sink. And
it's also had quite a psychological effect on him, I
don't think, And I felt like they had made laws
against how long you could put somebody in solitary confinement.

Speaker 4 (04:49):
Yes, it's so inhumane.

Speaker 2 (04:52):
So at first they said the placement had nothing to
do with him being a celebrity, but months later they
said that he posted a threat to the general public
due to the high profile nature of his case and
potential rule violations. But they did say, now the trial
start date is going to be May fourth. It was
supposed to be January twentieth. We told you yesterday that
that time got pushed back. Yes, little Dirk posted crazy

(05:15):
how you got to wait until the start out to see.

Speaker 4 (05:17):
Who really with you?

Speaker 2 (05:19):
And so I guess how that I don't know, okay,
but I think okay, okay. Anyway, moving on, Ditty's employees
are saying that they're not getting paid while he's behind bars.
According to TMZ sources, his money is being managed by
a business management firm called Trystar Sports and Entertainment Group,

(05:39):
and they're keeping a close watch on what he spends.
They said, people, personnel, and attorneys are all being paid
and no one is leaving. That's what when a Ditty's
rep said he controls his own finances. Everyone gets paid
for their work once it's completed and confirmed after routine review.
So I don't know if it means they're waiting to
get paid, and I don't know how long this routine
review is, but there are people who are saying that

(06:01):
they're not getting paid.

Speaker 3 (06:03):
He's going to stay in the news.

Speaker 4 (06:05):
Ellie reed.

Speaker 2 (06:06):
In the meantime, his sex assault child goes to court
next week. So he's accused of sexually assaulting record executive
Drew Dixon when they worked at ariston two thousand and one,
and according to reports, John Legend is going to appear
as a witness as well. So she's one of the
people also that's been talking about the music business, and

(06:26):
sexual ass She also has accused Deaf Dam's Russell Simmons
of rape and sued him for defamation. She was also
a leading advocate for the Adult Survivors Act. That's when
they allowed other alleged victims, including Ditty's accusers, that have
sought convictions for crimes that would have otherwise been long
past the statute of limitations. Remember, they had a period
of time where they could go ahead and follow those suits.

(06:48):
All right, well, that is your yet, and when we
come back, we have about last night where we discussed
what we did last night. I was cashing up on
some shows because you know, I've been traveling either way.
My bags finally came last night because coming back from
Saint Croix, our bags did not make that connecting flights
and they did get dropped off last night around midnight,

(07:10):
so I was up waiting for my bags.

Speaker 3 (07:12):
I dropped off.

Speaker 4 (07:13):
That's good, Listen.

Speaker 2 (07:15):
I'm not going to complain about anything because some of
my other friends just got back last night and they
had flights the same time I did, so I cannot complain.
All right, Well, that is your yut. And about last night,
we would come back since we talked about Little Dirk.
Let's play him and j Cole all my life. It's
way up night.

Speaker 5 (07:33):
So about last night?

Speaker 9 (07:35):
Yes, went down all right?

Speaker 2 (07:39):
His way up at Angela. Yea, I'm here with a
Keen Woods. What it do about last night? What did
you do last night?

Speaker 3 (07:44):
I went viral on threads again.

Speaker 4 (07:46):
Oh what were you talking about?

Speaker 3 (07:48):
Because I had a date and he was really fine.
I thought he was a I posted like, I got
this viny man coming over my house. I haven't seen him.
I hope he's got a catfish, and he got like
six thousand It got almost almost two hundred thousand views
because everyone's like invested in in whether or not he's
a catfish.

Speaker 4 (08:04):
So wait, he just comes over your house.

Speaker 2 (08:06):
You don't feel weirried about letting people that you haven't
met yet come over.

Speaker 3 (08:10):
No, that's a very it's a yeah. No, that's something
we do over on that's com Yeah.

Speaker 2 (08:17):
Okay, So really I do feel like if I haven't
never seen you in person, I don't know if I
want you to just know my address. So I supposed okay,
oh you did a video update. I did a video
update and was he fine or was he a catfish?

Speaker 3 (08:31):
No? No, he was real.

Speaker 4 (08:32):
Okay, well that's good.

Speaker 3 (08:33):
Yeah, he was real, but it was fun.

Speaker 4 (08:35):
He was cool.

Speaker 3 (08:35):
He's a construction worker and I can't talk too much
of his business.

Speaker 4 (08:38):
But is there anything potential for this to go further?

Speaker 3 (08:40):
No, he's only here on business.

Speaker 4 (08:42):
Okay, so he'd go back to twenty twenty six, same
old a keen.

Speaker 3 (08:47):
Listen, I'm gonna I'm gonna get wiped up on best.

Speaker 2 (08:49):
Oh boy, we've been talking about this since I've known you.

Speaker 3 (08:53):
Eventually I'll find a man.

Speaker 2 (08:55):
It's just, you know, man, I just can't imagine sending
someone my address.

Speaker 4 (09:00):
Yeah, why do you think that's a thing, Like you said,
you think.

Speaker 3 (09:03):
Women are more in danger, because like, women are just
and the adult come from me. But I'm just saying
physically women or like more timid and weaker compared to men.
But for men, it's just two. It's two men.

Speaker 4 (09:16):
So we don't fight.

Speaker 3 (09:17):
No, of course I can't fight. Do you see this jacket?
I'm wearing a rainbow jacket for the listeners, No, and
a jiggly buff hat.

Speaker 5 (09:25):
No.

Speaker 3 (09:25):
I can't fight.

Speaker 2 (09:26):
So you don't, like you don't set each other up
where you know how? A lot of times guys would
be like a woman will come and then next thing
you know, they get set up, the house gets robbed,
something happens like that doesn't happen.

Speaker 3 (09:37):
I'm not sure it does. It don't happen to me.
I live in a studio apartment. Where they're gonna take my.

Speaker 4 (09:41):
Rolland chair, You'll still be upset.

Speaker 3 (09:44):
I wouldn't be upset. I'm like, Angela, please buy me
a roan chair.

Speaker 2 (09:48):
All right, Well, last night mine isn't as exciting as yours.
But when I left work, y'all know, like dealing with
my brothers passing, I actually have to go pick up
his death certificates, which is something I didn't even know about.

Speaker 4 (10:00):
But when someone dies, do you know this.

Speaker 3 (10:02):
I didn't know that. When my mom passed, I didn't
have to do that.

Speaker 2 (10:05):
So in order for you to close out all their accounts,
you have to have a death certificate and each place
has to like get a copy of it. So we
ordered thirty of them. So they just came in. So
I went to pick them up because I'm in the
process now of like trying to wrap up the business
part of it, of like all the different accounts I'm
trying to figure out, you know, return his car, return
shut down, the credit card accounts, like all of those

(10:26):
things and so, but I feel like they should call
it something else because I think death certificate sounds terrible.

Speaker 3 (10:32):
That it does sound really it sounds so permanent.

Speaker 4 (10:35):
Yeah, like it's I mean it is to prove you died.

Speaker 2 (10:39):
They should call it something like, you know, the next chapter, something,
something sits.

Speaker 3 (10:43):
Lighter and just that doesn't because you're already dealing with it.

Speaker 2 (10:45):
It sounds person like how your death certificates have arrived.

Speaker 4 (10:49):
I hated it.

Speaker 2 (10:50):
But anyway, when we come back, tell us a secret.
Eight hundred two nine two fifty one fifty is the number.
Earlier I was talking about things that are inappropriate at
work to do. So maybe you have a secret about
something that happened at work. But tell us a secret.
Eight hundred two ninety two fifty one fifty. It's a
no judgment zone. You are anonymous. That's eight hundred two
ninety two fifty one fifty. Call us up and tell

(11:12):
us a secret.

Speaker 3 (11:12):
Tell us the t.

Speaker 5 (11:15):
This is a judgment free zone. Tell us a secret.

Speaker 2 (11:18):
All right, as way up by Angela. Yeah, I'm here
with akem Woods.

Speaker 3 (11:21):
What did do?

Speaker 4 (11:21):
What do you do?

Speaker 2 (11:22):
And it's time for you guys to call us up.
This is our first secrets of.

Speaker 4 (11:25):
The new year.

Speaker 3 (11:26):
I know, I'm so happy I'm here.

Speaker 5 (11:27):
You know.

Speaker 3 (11:27):
It's my faithorite segment.

Speaker 2 (11:28):
And I was talking about workplace secrets earlier because I
asked you to massage my right shoulder because it.

Speaker 4 (11:33):
Was in so much pain.

Speaker 2 (11:34):
And I was like, you know, that's not appropriate for
me to ask, like one of these employees here.

Speaker 4 (11:39):
And so you did it, though I did.

Speaker 2 (11:41):
You cannot at work ask somebody to give you a massage. No,
And I actually had you do with your elbow.

Speaker 3 (11:46):
Too, I tried.

Speaker 2 (11:47):
I'm out here, ladies, there's nothing you know inappropriate about that, okay? Anyway,
eight hundred two ninety two fifty one fifty animous call it.

Speaker 4 (11:53):
Tell us your secret.

Speaker 10 (11:56):
Back in the day, I used to be a man
at a stall or whatever the case maybe, and I
got involved with a lot of the Sea Metal employees.

Speaker 3 (12:06):
A lot of them, a lot of them to the
point that I had to quit and get the hell
of bat of the before the higher up found out.

Speaker 4 (12:15):
When you say a lot like how many.

Speaker 11 (12:16):
Is a lot?

Speaker 3 (12:17):
Twenty? And you and you were you were sleeping with
all that almost Yes, a fight, A fight broke out
in the front of the store because of me.

Speaker 9 (12:31):
After that, I quit and I started working at my
other job full time.

Speaker 4 (12:36):
How many people to just leave at that job.

Speaker 12 (12:39):
Like two three?

Speaker 3 (12:40):
Oh you a little job?

Speaker 4 (12:41):
My gosh.

Speaker 2 (12:44):
Now you know, as a manager, that could be a
lawsuit for your job.

Speaker 5 (12:50):
I know.

Speaker 3 (12:53):
So wait wait wait, So were you the direct manager?

Speaker 12 (12:58):
Yeah?

Speaker 5 (12:58):
I was the recommended dame.

Speaker 3 (13:00):
So when you slept with them, was you giving them
like beneficial like youre like, hey, we slept together, let
me you clocking early type stuff or what nahn?

Speaker 5 (13:08):
None of that.

Speaker 3 (13:09):
I had to let them know, like, listen, I can't
give you treat man. I told them that from the jump.
Oh that's good for you, because that that couldn't be me.
I'll be damned if I sleep with a manager and
not get something out of.

Speaker 2 (13:23):
And so them girls was fighting over you.

Speaker 3 (13:26):
Yeah, man, are you still out in the streets?

Speaker 5 (13:29):
Oh?

Speaker 3 (13:29):
You said? Oh you are you wiped up? Now?

Speaker 8 (13:31):
No?

Speaker 3 (13:31):
No, I'm set them down, wife up.

Speaker 4 (13:34):
Okay, okay, you.

Speaker 2 (13:37):
Just you was just had no willpower back then. Well
thank you for calling and sharing. Well that was tell
us a secret. Eight hundred and two nine two fifty
one fifty in case you couldn't get through. And since
we're talking about workplace things, let's discuss Chris Redd has
told his secret from when he was a cast member
on SNL and it has to do with him selling
pills to some of his cast mates.

Speaker 4 (13:58):
Okay, all right, it's Angela's.

Speaker 6 (14:01):
Feeling that yet, come and get to see all right?

Speaker 2 (14:04):
His way up at Angela. Yeah, I'm here with my guy.

Speaker 3 (14:06):
I came with what did it?

Speaker 8 (14:07):
Dude?

Speaker 3 (14:08):
What did it do? Now?

Speaker 4 (14:09):
Let's get into some of this yet.

Speaker 2 (14:11):
So Chris read from Saturday Night Live, formerly from SNL.
He posted a video on his Instagram and it was
very emotional. He posted this yesterday and he talked about
selling pills to his SNL cast members while he was there.

Speaker 4 (14:26):
He also talked about.

Speaker 2 (14:28):
His new woman and the issues that people have with
who he's dating.

Speaker 4 (14:34):
Here's what he said.

Speaker 13 (14:35):
I know a lot of people talk about me Dayton
Kenny Thompson's ex wife and how that came to be.
While I was at the show, I had some pill issues.
I was even selling some to some of my castmates.
But it was really funny than me that like I
would be around and people would talk about me and
I would hear them, but like, help me.

Speaker 3 (14:51):
This lady was the only one to help me.

Speaker 13 (14:53):
With my She helped me with my therapy journey, you know,
and she told me things about her life that made
me look at a lot of people involved in differently.

Speaker 5 (15:00):
And in that time, he fell in love and I
felt bad from the start.

Speaker 2 (15:05):
You know, that's interesting because imagine falling in love with
your castmates.

Speaker 4 (15:11):
X yeah, X like. And then the way that people
were looking.

Speaker 3 (15:15):
At him, and well, I think because people people love
drama and see I think they wanted to run the
narrative that she cheated or whatever. But this was after
they were broken up and everything. So and the.

Speaker 2 (15:27):
Fact that you know what outside was thinking about too. Uh,
this is SNL's all comedy, probably having an issue there.
People are gonna talk about you and make jokes.

Speaker 4 (15:36):
What do you think that?

Speaker 3 (15:37):
I mean, the environment is always going to be lighthearted
kind of comedy. It's cool that he was so candid.
I've worked with Chris a few times. He's always been
super nice to me. It's nice to see him candid
and just speaking about, you know, openly about his There.

Speaker 4 (15:51):
Were comedians leaving jokes in the comments.

Speaker 3 (15:53):
Michael Michael JA said this is the worst drug commercial ever.

Speaker 4 (16:00):
Right. I wonder.

Speaker 3 (16:03):
That he did laugh because then Rosebuden, who used to
be a writer on the show, she commented, you never
offered me a.

Speaker 4 (16:09):
Drugs see, and that's the problem. Yeah, all right. Now,
speaking of comedians, t I Man posted a.

Speaker 2 (16:18):
Video media Yeah well, it said t I getting booed
at Barely comedy show and yes, that's me Lavish Life
booing too. Fifty Cent said, oh, I didn't know it
was going like this, bro, Why he think he can
do that?

Speaker 4 (16:31):
Ish? Here is what that video that he commented on
sounded like man with.

Speaker 5 (16:36):
Fighting a rico. I'm sorry, white people, Young Thu is
a rapper.

Speaker 3 (16:40):
He for Cleveland.

Speaker 5 (16:41):
Avenue and he ain't no sound like much you know
what I'm saying.

Speaker 9 (16:45):
But he's held in high regard within the community. He's
a national treasure responsible for many Negro spirituals.

Speaker 5 (16:58):
Wow.

Speaker 3 (16:59):
One, there's a live the two no joke? Three? What
white people? TRR fan base ain't white? So who you explain?
Why are you explaining who Young Thug is? Like they
know your fan base knows who Young Thug is.

Speaker 2 (17:10):
So some people are saying that the sound was edited
out and you know things like that. Nah, but you know,
fifty cent also said, damn it, man, it look easy,
but it's not easy at all.

Speaker 3 (17:21):
It's not.

Speaker 4 (17:22):
Yeah, it's for sure not easy.

Speaker 3 (17:24):
It's the most disrespected are for people, and because everyone
has a sense of humor, they all think they could
do stand up.

Speaker 2 (17:29):
And TI has said that him and fifty are cool.
He said, I'm the only one who's not offended by
his brass approach and he's not offended by mind. So
we played rough, but there's no issue. It's a mutual respect.
He said that previously, and so maybe there is no issues.

Speaker 4 (17:44):
Between the two of them.

Speaker 2 (17:45):
But I will say that during our break t I
did put out his first ever stand up special called
Cheaper Than Therapy. It came out on Christmas Eve and
he had it available on his own website. That website
is called tip Ain't Funny dot com.

Speaker 3 (17:58):
He's smart because people definitely typing that is.

Speaker 4 (18:02):
And here's what was in that trailer.

Speaker 9 (18:03):
Do you want to know how to make my beautiful
beloved feel the rich wife?

Speaker 4 (18:09):
I have freshot the passenger side.

Speaker 5 (18:12):
On my big screen right. Well, you can do with
some things, you understand me?

Speaker 4 (18:18):
If it can happen to me, it can happen to you.
And that was filmed in Atlanta. They loved it.

Speaker 3 (18:23):
I mean it wasn't a joke. There was no comedy
for sure.

Speaker 2 (18:26):
Okay, when we come back under the radar, these are
the stories that are going under the radar, but you
need to know about them. We're gonna talk about BBLS
and breast implants and the new wave of what people
are doing to get these parts.

Speaker 4 (18:37):
Okay, all right, but right now, boy, oh t I
am Rihanna live your life.

Speaker 3 (18:41):
At least do that.

Speaker 4 (18:43):
If you want to do stand up, do it.

Speaker 3 (18:45):
No, I don't condone that. Don't do stand up.

Speaker 5 (18:47):
Just rap the news. News. This in the news that
relates to you. These stories are flying under the radar.

Speaker 2 (18:54):
It's way up at Angela. Yeah, I'm here with a
keen woods. What it do?

Speaker 4 (18:57):
All right, now, let's get into these stories I gotta
know about.

Speaker 2 (19:01):
Across the country, there are more patients who are turning
to injectable fillers made from people who have passed away
from what do you call it?

Speaker 4 (19:09):
Cadavers? Is that how you say it? Cadavers? Cadavers?

Speaker 3 (19:13):
Cavers?

Speaker 4 (19:13):
Let me pronounce some things wrong. Like, I'm on, let's
wrap about it. Cadavers.

Speaker 2 (19:18):
So basically what they're doing is they're getting this donated
fat and they're gonna lift, plump.

Speaker 4 (19:24):
And sculpt their bodies.

Speaker 2 (19:26):
So they're even doing bbls and breast enhancements people with
these cadavers. Yeah, but people are saying that, you know, people,
they're excited about it. People have already had liposuction and
for BBL fat is extracted from people through liposuction and
then reinjected. But if you don't have enough to suck out,
then this is a good option. This is a great

(19:48):
horror movie idea. That's all I was thinking about the
whole time I was telling the story. Imagine that, right,
you go and you get an injection in your body
from a dead body, and then.

Speaker 3 (19:59):
You you start turning to a whole different.

Speaker 2 (20:01):
First baby, Okay, let me start writing right now. Give
us some money, Okay, Stephen Queen, let's go.

Speaker 4 (20:10):
All right.

Speaker 2 (20:10):
And in another horror movie, the US has now sees
two oil tankers that have been linked to Venezuela in
the North Atlantic and Caribbean, and the ship was sanctioned
by the US and twenty twenty four for allegedly smuggling
cargo for another company. Another thing that's going on right
now is the United States. You're President Trump.

Speaker 4 (20:31):
And his administration.

Speaker 2 (20:33):
They're looking for a range of options to pursue in
order to acquire Greenland. Of course, right so, Greenland is
a territory of Denmark, just so you know. But Donald
Trump has wanted to get that for quote, national security reasons,
and he's been talking about that since his first presidential term.
I feel like nobody took it seriously back then, but
now definitely people are I.

Speaker 3 (20:54):
Will do anything to let y'all forget that he's on
that list.

Speaker 2 (20:56):
Now, Denmark has granted Greenland citizens the legal power to
make their own decisions about their future, but according to
the polls, it is highly unlikely that they would choose
to become a part of the United States.

Speaker 4 (21:09):
So he's saying military force is always an option.

Speaker 3 (21:13):
Oh yeah, let's start war with Greenland. Sure.

Speaker 2 (21:17):
They said eighty five percent of Greenlanders do not want
their land to become a part of the United States,
and that nearly half of them are saying they see
interest by.

Speaker 4 (21:25):
The US as a threat.

Speaker 2 (21:27):
All right, well, that is you're under the radar, and
now we do have the way it mix At the
top of the hour plus, it's a Wealth Wednesday. Stacy
Tisdale is gonna be here live. We're gonna take your
calls about your financial goals for twenty twenty six.

Speaker 4 (21:38):
I want to hear yours too, Akem. Get out of debt.
We're gonna do all of that. It's way up.

Speaker 2 (21:43):
She's like to talk like they a jeal Jean, Like
they a jeal Jean.

Speaker 8 (21:47):
Man.

Speaker 5 (21:47):
She's spilling it all. This is yeaty way up.

Speaker 2 (21:52):
It's way up at Angela, Yee. I'm here with my guy,
Akem Woods.

Speaker 12 (21:55):
What it do.

Speaker 4 (21:56):
I love when you come in because I feel like
I kind of like update you on what's going on.

Speaker 3 (22:00):
You do. This is my This is my news for
the week when I come see you.

Speaker 4 (22:04):
All right, So let's get into some of these stories.
So Mickey Rourke, there was a.

Speaker 2 (22:08):
GoFundMe that was started for him so that he would
not get evicted. According to reports last month, he was
served with a notice to pay nearly sixty thousand dollars
in back rent or he had to leave his apartment.
Then there was a gofunme that was started and it
raised more than one hundred thousand dollars in twenty four hours.
But he's saying that he has nothing to do with that.
Here's what he posted on his social media page.

Speaker 10 (22:30):
I don't understand somebody set up some kind of fun
for me to donate money.

Speaker 3 (22:35):
That's not me.

Speaker 10 (22:36):
I'd rather if I needed money, I wouldn't ask for
no charity. I'd rather stick a gun up my pullage.
So whoever did this, I don't know. If I do
get it, I don't understand it.

Speaker 3 (22:47):
Oh it's giving ungrateful.

Speaker 4 (22:49):
Well, he's also an actor. He's older.

Speaker 2 (22:51):
You know, he played in the Wrestler nine and a
half weeks Angel Hard. He's been in a lot of movies.
And so I got a little research and I saw
today his manager actually did an interview where she talked
about what happened. The Hollywood reporter talked to her and
she sang, and her name is Kimberly. She's saying that

(23:13):
in the last forty eight hours, we moved him out
of his house, we put him in a hotel. The
gofunme was done for him. That money is going to him,
It's not going to me. And if Mickey doesn't want
this money and decides I don't want help. It's like
it's charity. The money will be returned. She said, he
doesn't even have a key to his house. We had
to get moves here, get all his clothing out, organize
a new apartment.

Speaker 4 (23:32):
So basically she's saying, look.

Speaker 2 (23:34):
This was organized to help him, and maybe he's and
he did say he's embarrassed about it, but she said,
no one's touched the GoFundMe money.

Speaker 4 (23:41):
It's to help him.

Speaker 2 (23:42):
She said Mickey was cool with getting helped the other
day and now he's like, I'm not taking charity. But
she also said that she's the person that's been paying
for everything to get him out and put him up
in everything. So she said he doesn't even have a
bank account, he doesn't carry money. She said he sent
her What's app saying I'm forever grateful for all your help.
I would never be able to do all this alone.
But she did say she will remain his manager and

(24:04):
she's not quitting and she's not going anywhere.

Speaker 3 (24:06):
So what a good person. Shout out to Kimberly. Guys,
that's amazing. Good for her, you know.

Speaker 2 (24:12):
And she also said, look, he's never been one that
manages his money. Well, obviously he doesn't really know the
word moderation. He either has a lot or nothing. He
lives check to check. He's also been very generous with people.
He bought his ex girlfriend who had cancer and apartment,
didn't buy himself one. And he's given a lot of
money away to people into friends and loan people money.

Speaker 4 (24:29):
So you know all of that.

Speaker 3 (24:31):
Well, hopefully, well, I think he deserves good for him.
I'm glad he got the money. What can I do, well,
I know, well, I'm glad it's in an account, and
I hope Kimberly convinces him to take the help that
he clearly needs.

Speaker 4 (24:44):
All Right, now, let's talk about Tim Allen and Bill Maher.

Speaker 2 (24:47):
They got into a discussion about DEI rules and how
that have affected creativity, and according to them, it has
destroyed sitcoms. And Bill Maher had some things to say
about Angelina Jolie. He made a little snuky joke about that.
But here's here's what they have to say about DEI
and affecting the acting business.

Speaker 14 (25:09):
Somebody told me I was like the Tom Brady of sitcoms,
and they asked me to do a third one.

Speaker 5 (25:13):
I thought they were kidding.

Speaker 14 (25:14):
Because all the people that I know that I would
make it with are either dead or not the right gender,
and that doesn't fit the dei thing that everybody wanted.
If you're going to do a sitcom, it's just got
to be funny. You gotta have some drama.

Speaker 5 (25:24):
I couldn't agree more. Its diversity is a great virtue.
It's not the only virtue. And not everything in America
has to look like Angelina Jolie's Christmas card.

Speaker 3 (25:35):
It's given to death. But it's also like, there's so
many all white sitcoms. Stop acting like there's.

Speaker 5 (25:40):
Not all the selling.

Speaker 4 (25:42):
As there's so.

Speaker 3 (25:44):
Many all white you can keep making. No one's making
you make a new sitcom that's not all white. If
people choose not to watch it because it's boring, that's
on you.

Speaker 2 (25:52):
Yeah, and a little color, Okay, I promise you, Miss
patso isving represents the world?

Speaker 3 (25:58):
Yeah, abbit elementary is diving.

Speaker 4 (26:00):
So okay, Well that is your yee tee.

Speaker 2 (26:03):
When we come back, we have asked ye eight hundred
and two ninety two fifty one fifty. Since it is
a wealth Wednesday, akeim, I want to give you the
opportunity to also ask some questions because today we're taking
calls live and we want to hear about your goals
for twenty twenty six. Your financial goals for twenty twenty six.
You know, that was the main thing I've been thinking about.
And there's so many reasons for that, but I'll talk

(26:24):
about it. It's way up, whether it's.

Speaker 5 (26:26):
Relationship for career advice, Angela's dropping facts. You should know.

Speaker 2 (26:30):
This is as key, all right as way up Addy,
Angela Yee, and Stacy Tisdale is now here with us
for Wealth Wednesday.

Speaker 15 (26:37):
Ask me Wealth Wednesdays.

Speaker 4 (26:38):
Everybody, Happy New Year.

Speaker 11 (26:39):
It's the first Wealth Wednesdays of twenty twenty six.

Speaker 2 (26:42):
And Ikeime Wednday has been guest hosting all day. Hey,
y'all were about to get all of your business, okay,
and I thought, you don't mind sharing because.

Speaker 4 (26:49):
That's what you do for a living.

Speaker 3 (26:50):
That is what I do talk about my life, all right.

Speaker 2 (26:53):
So Stacy one thing, and everybody's going to be able
to call in today and talk about their financial goals
for twenty twenty six. So for asking you today, we're
asking you what are your financial goals?

Speaker 3 (27:05):
My main financial goal is to get out of debts
all of my little loans and credit card debts when
we get back to zero.

Speaker 15 (27:13):
Okay, So you do you want to get to zero
in twenty twenty six?

Speaker 3 (27:17):
Yeah? Okay, like no debt. I don't have a lot
of debt, but I just want to get rid.

Speaker 8 (27:20):
Of all that.

Speaker 4 (27:21):
Like what was it I needed? Like an idea?

Speaker 3 (27:23):
Probably like seventeen eighteen thousand okay.

Speaker 11 (27:26):
Okay, so that's specific. The first thing about goals, I
got to be specific. So you want to say you
want to get that seventeen thousand dollars in debt? Yeah,
what is one thing you are prepared to do in
the next thirty days towards that goal?

Speaker 2 (27:38):
I don't ask him that, all right, rob a bank No, no,
See I knew it. I knew he was going to
say something crazy.

Speaker 11 (27:45):
Okay, we can make that plan b No, okay, but
an idea what might be like you know your credit
score or I have an idea for you. But I
want to see if there's one thing you are willing
to do in the next thirty days.

Speaker 2 (27:55):
Okay, give me your idea because I don't have no
I came you come up with an idea?

Speaker 3 (28:00):
I mean to get booked?

Speaker 4 (28:02):
Okay, okay, make more money.

Speaker 15 (28:03):
How many credit cards do you have?

Speaker 3 (28:05):
Just two?

Speaker 15 (28:05):
Okay? You have two credit cards.

Speaker 11 (28:07):
So we're gonna pick one and you're going to focus
on that one over the next thirty days, okay. And
the way that you're going to do that is you're
going to make sure that you're paying a little bit
more than the minimum, okay. And you're also going to
get some help. Angela and I have some friends at
the National Foundation for Credit Counseling. We're going to give
you their number and you're gonna call them and you're
going to get a free one on one credit counseling

(28:30):
session and they're going to help you create a whole plan.
That's what that's what's missing as a plan.

Speaker 2 (28:34):
I want to ask you this to do you know
what the interest rate is on the two credit cards
you have no idea.

Speaker 3 (28:39):
It's Capital one an American Express, all.

Speaker 2 (28:41):
Right, because I always recommend the one that has a
higher interest rates, start paying that one down a little
bit more first.

Speaker 3 (28:46):
Yep, well, American Express. I owe way more Capital One.
I can pay off.

Speaker 12 (28:49):
I just have it.

Speaker 3 (28:51):
Okay.

Speaker 11 (28:52):
What's one thing that you're willing to do today towards
this goal? By midnight tonight? I'm going to take this
step towards clearing my debt.

Speaker 3 (29:00):
I listen, I had one. I don't got the buy
it wasn't no. I mean, I'll call those people today.

Speaker 5 (29:09):
You did it.

Speaker 4 (29:10):
The NFC seed a National Foundation of Credit Counseling.

Speaker 2 (29:13):
I think that's a great, great idea too, because again
that is something that is federal, so it's like very accredited.

Speaker 4 (29:19):
You don't have to worry because I.

Speaker 2 (29:20):
Think sometimes we also don't know who to speak to
when we want to make sure it's people you can trust.

Speaker 12 (29:25):
YEP.

Speaker 11 (29:25):
But this is something that's like certified. Yes, they're a nonprofit.
They're the biggest, most credible player in the game. So
today you're going to call and set up your appointment
with the free credit counselor. And when you start working
with them, they take care of all of that. They
talk to your creditors. You're going to be like, why
didn't I do this a long time ago?

Speaker 10 (29:43):
Now.

Speaker 2 (29:43):
I also think long term, because you're talking about you
have a goal for twenty twenty six, and one thing
you said you need to do is get booked more.
I feel like you've been working towards that goal by
going viral on threads and viral law.

Speaker 4 (29:55):
I'm sending a lot of I sent like twenty emails
a week, which I think is great.

Speaker 3 (29:59):
Yeah, I'm very proud active in that aspect because okay,
to pay these bits, what's the most effective. I go
VI a lot on threads, So I saw tickets a
lot on there. I'm doing. I'm getting more followers on Instagram,
so I'm start speaking with which follow me Instagram at
keem Woods a K E E M. Woods, And I'm
starting to stell tickets, like I saw tickets well in Atlanta.
I got a show in Philly that's selling okay so far.

Speaker 4 (30:20):
Yeah, being Saint Louis.

Speaker 3 (30:21):
I'll be in Saint Louis this weekend. Uh so Yeah.
Just constantly posting and all the all the social media stuff.

Speaker 2 (30:27):
You know what, I just want to say this last
thing something that Akim did that I thought was amazing,
was you applied for a grant?

Speaker 3 (30:32):
Oh yeah I did, and I got it. I applied. Yeah,
I gotta shout out to Comedy Gives Back. Yeah, so
I applied for a grant with Comedy Gives Back and
I got I got at pretty good amount of money.
I'm gonna say that much but I like it was
too much.

Speaker 2 (30:43):
Right yeah, which I think is amazing. So I just
want to commend you for that because I do feel
like a kem is.

Speaker 4 (30:48):
On top of it.

Speaker 3 (30:49):
Shout out to Shanel a least. He's a really funny
comedy because she's the one who told me about the grant.

Speaker 2 (30:52):
All right, but listen, we want to ask you guys
about your financial goals for twenty twenty six.

Speaker 4 (30:56):
You just heard us get all in Aquem's business and.

Speaker 11 (30:59):
He has a plan here, something he's going to take
to an Evendays.

Speaker 2 (31:02):
But we want to hear from you. Eight hundred two
nine fifty one fifty call us up right now.

Speaker 4 (31:07):
This way up a.

Speaker 1 (31:08):
Dream of wealthy and I don't mind sharing my wealth
dogs getting you straight financially, mentally and physically.

Speaker 5 (31:14):
This is wealth Wednesday on Way Up with angela Ye,
what's up?

Speaker 4 (31:17):
His way up with angela Ye?

Speaker 2 (31:19):
And it's a wealth Wednesday And Stacy Tisdale is here
with me today and we're talking about financial goals for
twenty twenty six. You guys are calling in and we're
going to talk to you about what you want to
make happen. And right now we have Janice on the line.
What's up, Jennef. What's your financial goals for twenty twenty six?

Speaker 16 (31:34):
So my financial goal is to at least say, because
I'm building a house from the ground up, I want
to leave them, sayay, with the work that I do,
because I do get overtime every week, to be able
by the end of this year to be able to
go in with a big chunk sum of a put down.

Speaker 3 (31:53):
Okay, we got being said.

Speaker 17 (31:54):
I found out this morning that over time is not
going to be taxed.

Speaker 8 (31:58):
So what that extra money should I am?

Speaker 3 (32:00):
Guess it?

Speaker 17 (32:01):
I know I want to save it, but then when
you sort of it in a bank, you don't get
much off of it.

Speaker 15 (32:05):
That's awesome.

Speaker 11 (32:05):
You're really clear on your goal about saving the fifty k,
and it sounds like you just need to put that
money to work.

Speaker 15 (32:13):
Yes, okay, So do you ever invest money?

Speaker 8 (32:17):
I did an investment work, but I may over the
land couple of years. The percentI rates that I made
on it was up about three hundred. But I want
to be a little more aggressive because I'm looking forward
to to that house being built, and I wanted to
be built right the way I wanted to be built, right.

Speaker 11 (32:34):
You need a little more guidance on the investing, and
I'm going to tell you what a lot of people
should be considering. Take advantage of the way AI can
help you with that. There's actually an app called portfolio
Pilot and they actually have a free component to it
and you can put your situation in and it'll give
you really great investment recommendations.

Speaker 8 (32:54):
Right right, Thank you so much.

Speaker 15 (32:57):
Okay, what are you going to do today? What are
you going to do about this today?

Speaker 4 (33:00):
Actionable stat action stuff.

Speaker 15 (33:01):
Today we want everybody to take as the entrepreneur and
a business owner.

Speaker 17 (33:05):
And I think me I might have met you at
me day because I have your.

Speaker 7 (33:10):
Helping wellness business.

Speaker 17 (33:11):
I take action because that's when my coach saw me
teaches us when you get good advice and you ask
for invice to take action, and I'm gonna take action.
I'm gonna read tonight, set aside some study time, and
make my money growth for me.

Speaker 4 (33:26):
And can I say one more thing too?

Speaker 2 (33:28):
I always am really also a fan of being diverse
with how I invest because you know, when it comes
to investments, anything could happen.

Speaker 11 (33:34):
That's why portfolio Pilot or apps like that is great
because you tell it your situation and it'll give you
a well rounded portfolio. And Angela's spot on never invest
in one thing, so that can be your action item
today to look up portfolio pilot.

Speaker 17 (33:48):
I will I will definitely be a shadow. So I'm
gonna returning to this into your house that you got
for the women does returning in I would love to
be a part of that, but okay, that point a
different time.

Speaker 4 (34:00):
Love that well, thank you, Janis.

Speaker 15 (34:01):
It was a pleasure helping New York Jane's LifeWise.

Speaker 4 (34:05):
All right, well this is fun. I'm enjoying talking to
people about their financial goals.

Speaker 2 (34:09):
So what we're taking more of your cause and remember
what Stacy said, Just be clear on what your goal is,
and then we'll make sure that you have some actionable
items that you can do starting today. Eight hundred two
nine two fifty one fifty call us up. It's a
new year with some financial goals for twenty twenty six.

Speaker 4 (34:25):
It's way up.

Speaker 1 (34:26):
I had a dream of wealthy and I don't mind
sharing my wealth dogs getting you straight financially, mentally and physically.

Speaker 5 (34:33):
This is wealth Wednesday on Way Up with Angela Yee,
what's up?

Speaker 4 (34:36):
As Wall up with Angela.

Speaker 2 (34:37):
Yee, hey Stacy, Hey Angela, We're so excited.

Speaker 15 (34:40):
It's twenty twenty six.

Speaker 2 (34:41):
Yes, and it's Wealth Wednesday, and we want to know
about your financial goals for twenty twenty six. Adriana, talk
to us.

Speaker 17 (34:48):
Pay down my credit card so I can start my business.

Speaker 15 (34:52):
Well, tell me how many credit cards do you have?
And how much are you looking to pay down?

Speaker 7 (34:56):
So right now I only have two and it's Capital
and it's a off brand called selp okay?

Speaker 4 (35:02):
And how much around how much do you have to
pay off?

Speaker 7 (35:05):
Probably on your thousand on each?

Speaker 4 (35:08):
Okay?

Speaker 15 (35:08):
Oh, that's very doable.

Speaker 4 (35:09):
Yeah.

Speaker 11 (35:10):
For credit card debt, one of the things you want
to do is start pick one card and focus on
that and do one at a time.

Speaker 15 (35:16):
And as Angelo is just discussing, it's.

Speaker 11 (35:18):
Good to pick the card that has the highest rate.
But what's one thing that you're prepared to do over
the next thirty days towards this goal?

Speaker 8 (35:28):
Probably pay a little bit more than a minimum?

Speaker 15 (35:30):
M yep?

Speaker 2 (35:31):
Are you working right now?

Speaker 7 (35:33):
Not currently?

Speaker 4 (35:34):
Okay?

Speaker 2 (35:35):
Is there a reason why are you looking or is
there another reason I'm looking?

Speaker 11 (35:40):
The one thing about the new year's goals also is
you always need accountability and partnership. And if you go
to Teamwealth wednesdays dot com you can sign up for
a free credit counseling session and someone can help you
do this. But if you're just looking at a thousand
dollars on each of those cards, really pick one and
pay a little bit more than the minimum and for

(36:01):
an action step today, maybe make that change in your
account today.

Speaker 2 (36:05):
And can I say something too, Sometimes we have a
goal financially and there is an opportunity to do like
even part time work or take a job that may
not be a career in order for you to do that,
because I know you want to start your own business,
right Yeah, And so sometimes it is a matter of
just stacking up some money paying off those bills because
like Stacy said, that amount is very doable, and you

(36:26):
know you have a larger goal in mind. And so
even if it's something that you're like, this is not
going to be my long term because you have a
long term plan.

Speaker 4 (36:33):
You know, sometimes you gotta do what you gotta do.

Speaker 2 (36:35):
That's true.

Speaker 11 (36:36):
Okay, start with one of them, pick the one that
has the highest rate, pay a little bit more than
the minimum and put it away. That's the most important thing.
The card that you're focusing on, do not use it
and you can put it away and raise that minimum
as an action step today.

Speaker 7 (36:52):
Yeah I'm gonna do that.

Speaker 2 (36:53):
Yes, but get some income too because yeah, yeah, you
got to handle that also.

Speaker 7 (36:59):
Definitely working on.

Speaker 2 (37:00):
Okay, all right, good luck girl. Can't wait to hear
your update. Let us know how it goes, and let
us know when you're ready to start that business so
we could talk about it.

Speaker 3 (37:08):
Okay, thank you, take care up the new year.

Speaker 2 (37:11):
All right, Well, thank you Stacy for that. That was
our Wealth Wednesdays. You know, we want to make sure
we're as helpful as possible. That's right, and we created
