Speaker 6 (01:51):
She's timeless, she doesn't have an age.
Speaker 2 (01:52):
All right, now, who do you want to shine a
light on today?
Speaker 1 (01:54):

Speaker 2 (02:00):
You never told me your sister was five.
Speaker 6 (02:02):
Oh, if I needed her help, I'm wearing a wire.
Speaker 7 (02:06):
I could have had a PBA card. I could have
had anything going on. Okay, So twenty years, Yeah, that's
what type of like.
Speaker 6 (02:13):
You know, she's like a regular.
Speaker 1 (02:14):
I don't know the levels, but I just know she's
a minted for two decades and she was excited to retire.
Speaker 6 (02:19):
So I bet I just wanted to give her some props.
Speaker 2 (02:22):
Man twenty years. Well, thank you for your service, Liszen.
Speaker 7 (02:24):
Absolutely, we appreciate you for that, and that's a very thankless.
Speaker 2 (02:28):
Job, I want to say.
Speaker 6 (02:30):
Especially in New York.
Speaker 7 (02:30):
You know, we always talk about how we need good
cops because cops get a bad rap out here. And
I'm watching everybody in New York. They just got new
ways to in the subway to make sure you can't
and everybody is violating. I think I got here these
new subway not trying to jump the turns out. Y'all
got to watch some of these clips on social media
of people still still avoiding paying their fare on the subway.
(02:52):
I would hate to have to be a cop facts
in that situation. But shout out to you Lizzy. Congratulations
and thank you again for twenty years. All right, Now,
who do you want to shine a light on.
Speaker 9 (03:02):
Well, I would like to shine the light on myself.
I have a lot of perseverance. No matter what I
go through, I always come out on the other side.
Always keep my daughters straight.
Speaker 2 (03:13):
It feels like you just went through something.
Speaker 9 (03:15):
But me and my daughters were sleeping in my car.
Speaker 2 (03:18):
Oh my god. Okay, how long has this been.
Speaker 9 (03:21):
It's been for sake, you think, But I thought I
was bringing my life together with this man that I
had met, and then the Hitler were together for a
while and he completely turned on me and Thanksgiving. He
was drunk and deligerent, and he put me my daughters
and my mother, who was visiting at the time, was
(03:43):
filled her stage four breast cancer and she's on the
oxygen machine.
Speaker 10 (03:48):
He put us off.
Speaker 2 (03:50):
Oh my god. And you don't have any other family
members that you could turn to, or anybody not other
than my mother. All right, where what city are you?
Speaker 11 (03:58):
In?
Speaker 7 (04:00):
A sort hold on the line. Okay, We're gonna see
what we can do for you. Okay, thank you, all right,
no problem. Well that was Hina Light eight hundred and
two ninety two fifty one fifty. In case you couldn't
get through, you could always leave a message and shine
a light like that. And when we come back, we
have your yee tea, and let's talk about somebody else,
another rapper jumping into stand up comedy. You know t
(04:21):
I did it first, Yes you did. And I will
tell you who's up next. It's way up.
Speaker 3 (04:26):
From industry shade to all of gossip out. Angela's feeling that,
all right.
Speaker 2 (04:32):
It's way up at Angela. Yeah, I'm here with my
guy beat up.
Speaker 6 (04:34):
Good Jebby Dub, I'm here good Jobby done.
Speaker 2 (04:37):
And Mary J. Blige has a residency in Vegas. She
has announced it's a residency.
Speaker 7 (04:43):
A residentiary anyway, that is something that I would definitely
go and see.
Speaker 5 (04:48):
Now.
Speaker 2 (04:48):
She revealed that news on today.
Speaker 7 (04:52):
That was today. And here's what you had to say
about what to expect.
Speaker 12 (04:55):
It's called My Life Story because it's going to be
done more theatrical. You okay, You're still gonna have the music.
It's still gonna be fun. There's gonna be actors and
actresses and so the story. The music tells the story.
And I have so many songs that I haven't performed yet,
and the actors are gonna now rate the music.
Speaker 6 (05:14):
What's your favorite? Mary J Blige? Right, do you have one?
Speaker 2 (05:16):
Who my favorite one? I have so many, It depends
on a different each era. You know what I'm saying.
Speaker 7 (05:23):
I want to say that You Remind Me was my
song when she first came out. That was my joint
right there. Our Love, which is not as popular of
a song.
Speaker 6 (05:31):
Maybe she might perform that.
Speaker 2 (05:32):
But that's a great song obviously, you.
Speaker 7 (05:35):
Know the ones like I'm Going Down and you know
what about your what's your favorite?
Speaker 6 (05:40):
I always love it slow song I Love You remix
with Smith and Welson.
Speaker 2 (05:43):
Okay, that's a good one.
Speaker 6 (05:44):
It's always been my favorite.
Speaker 7 (05:46):
I like hip hop Mary too. I like the whole
what's the four one one remix album?
Speaker 6 (05:52):
Classic?
Speaker 2 (05:52):
Yeah, classics, So shout out to Mary. We should go like,
I wonder who's gonna play her.
Speaker 7 (05:58):
In addition to that, you know she she has this
deal with Lifetime, so she has these shows on Lifetime
that are based off of her hit songs.
Speaker 2 (06:05):
Here's what she had to say.
Speaker 12 (06:07):
So, I did a deal with Lifetime. We have already
done like three to four movies already. So the first
one was real love, and the second one was the
strength of a woman, The third one was family affair,
and the fourth one is me Happy.
Speaker 6 (06:21):
I wonder if she's ever gonna make a cameo on these.
Speaker 2 (06:24):
I mean she acts, yes, Hane.
Speaker 6 (06:26):
I remember she was nominated for an oscar.
Speaker 2 (06:29):
She does a great job, so she's been just considered.
Speaker 7 (06:32):
She's also a Capricorn to start to put that out
there all right now, speaking of careers and doing more
than one thing, Kit Cuddy is now doing stand up comedy.
He has announced that is his next thing. He posted
so this happened. Did stand up last night for the
first time, and holy f it was electric. Hearing people
laughing their asses off and enjoying my set really touched
my heart.
Speaker 2 (06:52):
I was mad nervous.
Speaker 7 (06:53):
This was another type of nervous as I hadn't felt
before the high I felt when I got off stairs.
Speaker 2 (06:58):
Never felt that before either.
Speaker 6 (07:00):
Everyone rappers used to rap.
Speaker 7 (07:02):
Well you know beatots. People can do more than one thing.
That you can be a rapper but at the same
time also do stand up comedy.
Speaker 1 (07:10):
I gotta check out his set, man, because being funny
in conversation is different than doing in.
Speaker 7 (07:14):
Stand up well, you know he's they from what I've
been hearing, he has been jumping in and out doing
like little small venues. They haven't put anything out, but
he did say that he is going to put out
some stuff soon for people to have a chance to see.
That has to be scary though, because you know, people
don't have jokes regardless.
Speaker 2 (07:31):
Right, all right, and duel Santana prayers up to him.
Speaker 7 (07:35):
He revealed he was injured in a car crash over
the weekend. Yes, he went on his Instagram stories yesterday
and put up a selfie that showed blood and his
face was bruised up, and in the caption he just
wrote car crash and he put up a prayer emoji.
Speaker 2 (07:47):
Said.
Speaker 7 (07:47):
We don't know his overall condition, but it seems that
he's okay. If he's able to post about it, that's
good to hear. All right, Well that is your yeete.
When we come back, we have about last night where
we discussed what we did last night, I'm gonna talk
about something to since with discussing stand up comedy. I
did watch Somebody Special that's coming out on Wednesday, and
it was so funny.
Speaker 2 (08:08):
I have to give him his props. All right.
Speaker 7 (08:10):
I don't know what you did over the weekend, but
we'll talk about it when we come back.
Speaker 2 (08:13):
Its way up.
Speaker 3 (08:17):
So about last night, yes, kids went down beat that.
Speaker 2 (08:24):
What was your last night?
Speaker 4 (08:25):
Like?
Speaker 1 (08:26):
My night was pretty chill. I've been watching Binge, watching
The Guy, actually.
Speaker 7 (08:30):
The Pit I haven't seen that yet. One Golden Globe,
I don't know if it did.
Speaker 2 (08:35):
I think it did. Then go take a look.
Speaker 6 (08:36):
It's pretty good.
Speaker 1 (08:37):
It's got a golden globe in my crib and I'm
like on episode eleven, so it's a pretty good show.
It's kind of like Jay, Thank Your June, but it's
in the same vein of like Er and Gray's Anatomy, that.
Speaker 6 (08:47):
Sort of thing.
Speaker 7 (08:48):
Okay, yes, it did one Best Television Series, rightfully, so
that's on HBO Max.
Speaker 2 (08:54):
I had a TV field weekend.
Speaker 7 (08:56):
At first, I want to say Friday, I did like
an impromptu birthday gatherer cut my coffee shop coffee uplifts people.
Speaker 2 (09:03):
I wasn't going to do anything for my birthday.
Speaker 7 (09:05):
This year hasn't felt like a very celebratory year, but
this you know, I was like, why not go to
my space and a lot of my friends came through,
so it was cute, it was chill, it was nice.
And then I stayed in bed all day Saturday. Not
because of that, I just haven't been around. I haven't
had a moment to Just like I had every intention
(09:26):
of going to like clean out my brother's place Saturday
and Sunday. I ended up only doing that on Sunday.
It's a lot of work. But yeah, so that was
my weekend. But in the midst of all that, I
needed a laugh. And so I have an advanced screener
of Godfree's stand up special that's going to be in
theaters on Wednesday. It's called Rebel with the Cause January fourteenth,
(09:47):
that will be in theaters nationwide, and I want to
say it is so it's one of the funniest stand
ups I've seen in a long time.
Speaker 2 (09:55):
And I do have to say that was so funny.
It was so good.
Speaker 7 (09:59):
This morning while I I was getting ready for work,
my girl Keys was at my house doing my makeup,
and I had a plan and she, when I tell you,
had to keep stopping and was cracking up laughing wow
while we were doing that, Like she kept stopping just
to stade. She was like, what a way to start
on Monday.
Speaker 2 (10:14):
Morning.
Speaker 6 (10:14):
If you're saying this, I believe it because you're a
big comedy book.
Speaker 7 (10:17):
It's so funn Gotfrey is hilarious funny. I mean, he
talks about things like gentrification, he talks about Thanksgiving and Christmas.
Speaker 2 (10:25):
Is really really funny. Here's a little snippet from his
media kit about it. Commalees, I've known her for about
ten years. Ten years, and I would ask her.
Speaker 6 (10:33):
I would ask her what are you?
Speaker 11 (10:34):
What are you?
Speaker 2 (10:35):
She said, I'm Indian, I'm Indian. I'm Indian, I'm Indian.
Speaker 6 (10:39):
And then two weeks ago.
Speaker 2 (10:44):
She turned bla just like Trump.
Speaker 7 (10:49):
Yes, but not even justice impersonations. But the whole thing
is so funny. Y'all have got to go to the
theaters and bring your friends with you to actually go
watch this specially, that's how good it is. As a
matter of fact, I feel like I'm gonna have to
go and get some tickets and make sure we all
go see it, because it's not a lot of times
we get to go to the theaters to watch stuff
like this, so it feels like a treat and you
(11:10):
will definitely I needed that.
Speaker 6 (11:11):
Laugh as Angelie and she approves this message.
Speaker 7 (11:14):
Yes, indeed, all right, But when we come back, it's
tell us a secret.
Speaker 6 (11:18):
My favorite.
Speaker 7 (11:19):
Eight hundred two ninety two fifty one fifty is the
number any secret that you want to tell us, you
know what. And one of the parts in God Free
Special he talks about a very good friend of his
who buys real bags, right, even though you can go
to Canal Street and get a fake one. So that
could be a good secret if you're sporting something and
pretending it is real and it's not a lot of.
Speaker 6 (11:43):
It was fake.
Speaker 7 (11:46):
Or maybe you have a story like this guy who
has the smallest penis ever.
Speaker 6 (11:50):
Oh my god.
Speaker 2 (11:51):
We'll talk about that during Under the Radar.
Speaker 7 (11:53):
But eight hundred two nine two fifty one fifty call
us up, tell us a secret.
Speaker 2 (11:57):
It's no judgment zone and you are anonymous.
Speaker 6 (12:00):
Judgment free zone. Tell us the secret.
Speaker 2 (12:03):
It's way up with Angela. Yeah, I'm here, beat us here.
Speaker 6 (12:06):
Good job, beat that, Yes I am.
Speaker 2 (12:07):
You know what time it is.
Speaker 7 (12:09):
It's time for you guys to tell us your secrets.
Not just because we're nosy, but because a lot of
times this is quite funny and entertaining.
Speaker 6 (12:16):
I'm a little nosy.
Speaker 2 (12:17):
Yeah that's a fact, all right.
Speaker 7 (12:19):
Well eight hundred two ninety two fifty one fifty Anonymous Color,
tell us your secret?
Speaker 4 (12:23):
I eisially get girl's phone numbers in the store or
the lottery, and I play a number in the lottery
and I take it home and give it to my
girl and she put it up for me.
Speaker 2 (12:31):
Does that work though?
Speaker 4 (12:32):
All that?
Speaker 2 (12:33):
So you've been hitting the numbers.
Speaker 4 (12:35):
And the girls?
Speaker 2 (12:36):
Oh wow? Are your girlfriend's okay with this jackpot?
Speaker 4 (12:40):
You don't know until you hear it?
Speaker 2 (12:44):
Okay, I mean I guess a win is a win.
Speaker 7 (12:47):
Yeah, that's a double win until you lose your would
you what if you lose your girl?
Speaker 2 (12:52):
Are you okay with that?
Speaker 4 (12:54):
As long as you girls slid the money with me?
If my head?
Speaker 2 (12:56):
Okay?
Speaker 6 (12:57):
See finances tolerance?
Speaker 2 (12:59):
Right, So he's hit in a number, isn't hit the ladies?
All right? Thank you for colling? What numbers? Should we play?
Speaker 1 (13:04):
Uh?
Speaker 4 (13:05):
Fourteen today?
Speaker 2 (13:06):
To fourteen? All right?
Speaker 6 (13:07):
Thank you?
Speaker 2 (13:08):
Let's see what area? So that is? What's Eponymous color?
How you doing?
Speaker 1 (13:13):
I'm good?
Speaker 2 (13:14):
You cad? You want to tell me and beat out
a secret.
Speaker 13 (13:17):
I've been in a relationship for about nine years. We
had the twenty seventh or this month would have made
nine years, then I am planning to leave him. Oh
it's not working out anymore.
Speaker 2 (13:27):
What's not working for you the relationship?
Speaker 13 (13:30):
Like we used to go on days, We used to
go on outings in his life. For laft past two
three years, we haven't did anything.
Speaker 2 (13:38):
You think he's cheating. I like, for a fall, A
couple of.
Speaker 13 (13:41):
Times he met up with a couple of people from
his past. I really don't want to say he's cheating,
but you know how guys are, you'll deny.
Speaker 9 (13:48):
Anything, right.
Speaker 7 (13:50):
I know he used to do not stuff for you,
But what has he done for you lately?
Speaker 2 (13:55):
Are you seeing anybody else?
Speaker 13 (13:57):
Honestly no, But I am at the point in my
life where I've been talking to him since I was
a teenager. So I think I just really want to
live my life.
Speaker 7 (14:06):
Yeah, you deserve a break, And this is what women do.
We already break up before we break up.
Speaker 13 (14:11):
Yeah, I think I mentally exhided before I was able
to physically get over break. You know how you take
them back over and over again. I knew I was
done when he came into a lump summer money. I'll
talk about thousands of money. He bought me a car
and I suld to know. I'm good.
Speaker 6 (14:30):
Wow, you turned down a car.
Speaker 13 (14:33):
Yeah, he bought me a car. I have a car,
but at the time it was in the shop. It
just got home from me maybe two days ago, so
he still half the car. But yeah, I'm dam that's
crazy gas money. And I was like, no, you.
Speaker 2 (14:49):
Know what's crazy.
Speaker 7 (14:50):
I'm glad you said that because I realized that you
have to really like somebody to be able to accept
things from them. I don't want nothing from you if
I know I already don't like you.
Speaker 6 (15:00):
Wow.
Speaker 13 (15:00):
Yeah, And that's what made me get the feeling that
he probably knows something is old.
Speaker 7 (15:05):
Yeah, now you're all sad, crying in your hoopdie he
got for you?
Speaker 6 (15:10):
Call back?
Speaker 2 (15:13):
All right? Well listen, New Year, knew you.
Speaker 13 (15:16):
Yeah, my birthday was New Year, so happy perfect for me.
Speaker 2 (15:19):
Okay, you know how we do? We move alike?
Speaker 7 (15:22):
Okay, I like it like we do all right, you too.
Speaker 2 (15:28):
Some people will take that gift even if they don't
like that man.
Speaker 6 (15:31):
All right.
Speaker 7 (15:31):
Well that was tell Us a Secret eight hundred and
two ninety two fifty one fifty And in the vein
of tell Us a Secret, let's talk about the Golden
Globes that happened yesterday, and there was some after party
activities too, and a new couple with spotted walking hand
in hand.
Speaker 2 (15:46):
Will tell you what they said. It's way up, just like.
Speaker 14 (15:49):
The chout like they Angel Jean, like they Angel Jean.
Speaker 6 (15:52):
She's spilling it all. This is yet way up.
Speaker 2 (15:58):
Yeah, it's way up at Angela.
Speaker 7 (15:59):
Yee, I'm here beat outs here, good right, God beatot
And let's get into these Golden Globes stories and the
winners from the Golden Globes.
Speaker 2 (16:09):
That was last night. Nicki Glacier hosted.
Speaker 7 (16:11):
She did a pretty good job and her dress looked amazing,
by the way, I just want to put that out
there too. She looked great, but she was also really funny. Now,
one person who was not amused was Michael B. Jordan's
mother when she made a little joke about him and sentners.
Speaker 15 (16:26):
Michael played two brothers, and I allowed to say that
you played twins.
Speaker 2 (16:30):
And I can't believe it.
Speaker 15 (16:32):
We got to Michael B Jordan's when I saw that,
I was like nicky.
Speaker 2 (16:35):
Because that one. Also, I know your mom. I'm so
sorry I should not have said that to you.
Speaker 8 (16:42):
That should have been a DM.
Speaker 6 (16:44):
She reminds me of like Chelsea Handler.
Speaker 2 (16:46):
Yes she does.
Speaker 7 (16:47):
She is Chelsea Handler ish. Another joke that was funny,
and Leonardo DiCaprio took this very well. She actually was
talking about him and you know he's known to date
younger women.
Speaker 2 (16:58):
Well, here's what she said.
Speaker 13 (17:00):
You've worked with every great director, You've won three Golden
Globes in Oscar and the most impressive thing is that
you were able.
Speaker 8 (17:06):
To accomplish all of that before your girlfriend turned thirty.
Speaker 2 (17:09):
I mean, it's just insane.
Speaker 7 (17:11):
Another thing that happened was she talked about how he
doesn't do any interviews, that she couldn't find anything about him,
and then she said except for this one teen Beat
interview that he did where he said his favorite food
is pasta and they did dig it up.
Speaker 2 (17:23):
Yeah, and that's a real interview and Team Beat.
Speaker 7 (17:25):
He was a little kid and he said pasta, pasta
and more pasta.
Speaker 6 (17:29):
Years man, who doesn't love pasta?
Speaker 1 (17:31):
I know?
Speaker 7 (17:31):
All right now, this was a moment that made us
so I'll get a little teary eyed. Tiana Taylor actually
won her Golden Globe and this was for Best Supporting Actress.
Speaker 2 (17:43):
And here is what her speech sounded like, oh my god,
I almost didn't even write a speech. It's my baby's
and upstairs watching y'all better belt them damn.
Speaker 1 (17:55):
Phones and watching me right now.
Speaker 5 (17:58):
To my brown sisters and brown girls watching tonight. Our
light does not need permission to Shane. We belong in
every room we walk into. Our voices matter, and our
dreams deserve space.
Speaker 2 (18:09):
Thank you so much, everybody, one batter after anothering.
Speaker 1 (18:12):
I love how she said she didn't have a speech
like on deck, and then she pulled out this term paper,
so she.
Speaker 2 (18:18):
Said, well, you know she did. Genuinely look surprised you did,
because you should be ready. You just never know what's
gonna happen.
Speaker 7 (18:23):
But I can't imagine how disappointing it is for people
who wrote speeches.
Speaker 6 (18:26):
And then she came a long way from Sweet sixteen.
Speaker 7 (18:29):
Man, Listen, I met Tiana Taylor way back then when
she just turned sixteen.
Speaker 6 (18:34):
I remember, yeah, was at the party.
Speaker 7 (18:36):
Well, no, I actually was at an event. It was
like a holiday event, and she was. It was a
charity event. She was there, okay, and she had just
done my super Sweet sixteen and that's a remember she
was choreographing the chicken noodle super yeah, and I'll live that.
Speaker 2 (18:48):
Look at that. Who would Adunket would have thought? All
right now, Snoop.
Speaker 7 (18:51):
Dog was on hand. But you know what happens if
they have you waiting too long. He had to get
up and present an award. And here's what happened.
Speaker 6 (18:58):
You're all are winners. I'm high as a loon. Y'all
had me here, you damn long? The winner is good.
Speaker 2 (19:08):
Hang just Amy poet.
Speaker 7 (19:10):
That was for best Podcast, by the way, so we're
nominated definitely not maybe next.
Speaker 2 (19:16):
Year, yeah, maybe next year.
Speaker 7 (19:17):
All right, now, after all of this, a ton of
after parties, there's been rumors about Anthony Anderson and Roxy dating,
and it looks like maybe this is a confirmation.
Speaker 6 (19:28):
Are you guys officially dating? She's my cake for the evening?
You guys look amazing together. Thank you, brother, y'all go
where back?
Speaker 2 (19:35):
Right?
Speaker 6 (19:36):
We go back almost twenty years? So how does this happen?
You know, we want to know friends always friends, That's
how it starts. Papa Rozzi caught them holding hands.
Speaker 7 (19:45):
Kicking cans, and he you know, he didn't deny it.
He just was like, all right, when we come back,
we have under the radar. These are the stories that
are not necessarily in the headlines. And let's talk about
the FIFA World Cup twenty twenty six tickets. There has
been people boy and we'll tell you what those numbers
are looking like. A lot of people have been canceling
their tickets.
Speaker 2 (20:04):
It's way up, all right, news This in the news
that relates to you.
Speaker 3 (20:09):
These stories are flying under the radar.
Speaker 2 (20:12):
All right, it's way up with Angela yee, I'm here,
beat outs here. Time to go under the radar.
Speaker 7 (20:17):
First, let's talk about the US World Cup boycotts that
have been happening in recent months. And first it was
over the cost of the tickets, but now because of
ICE immigration fairs, Donald Trump's administration moves internationally, people are
canceling their tickets. One person was online and said, I
canceled my World Cup tickets. The ICE may decide that
(20:39):
I'm a gang member and I'll be left in prison
for a year with no charges, no hearing, no trial,
no right to consult a lawyer, no phone call.
Speaker 2 (20:45):
The US is not a safe to visit.
Speaker 7 (20:47):
So so far, a ton of people have been canceling
their tickets.
Speaker 6 (20:52):
Where's a World Cup at this year?
Speaker 7 (20:54):
It's in Philly, is that right? Yeah, yeah, New York, Philly,
different places. Yeah, it's in different places. So it's also
in the US, Canada and Mexico. And so the ones
that they're doing here is now, you know, people are like,
I am not coming out to do that. And I
think they said that, like thirty thousand people have already
canceled tickets.
Speaker 2 (21:13):
Yeah, it's not a small thing.
Speaker 7 (21:15):
Speaking of small things, let's get into this next story.
Speaker 2 (21:19):
This man says that.
Speaker 7 (21:20):
He has the world's smallest penis number one.
Speaker 2 (21:23):
How does he know that?
Speaker 7 (21:25):
But I will tell you that it is just zero
point three eight inches, so he.
Speaker 2 (21:29):
Could be right.
Speaker 6 (21:30):
Damn, poor guy.
Speaker 2 (21:31):
Hey, you've been talking about this story since you came
in here this morning.
Speaker 11 (21:33):
Do that.
Speaker 7 (21:34):
I've never seen you so fascinated by a story. But
he was on a show he was on this morning.
He's from North Carolina. His name is Michael Phillips.
Speaker 2 (21:43):
He's thirty eight years old, and his penis is also
point thirty eight inches. When does that happen? Right?
Speaker 1 (21:49):
You could have war avoid this information out of you
know what the average size is, I don't know, five
point five, so he's well below that.
Speaker 2 (21:56):
Here's what he has to say about his little situation.
Speaker 15 (22:00):
It should be like known that it's a medical condition
that can cause it, and that if more people realized
that it was a condition when they're younger, that they
could be taken and seen by a doctor and get
treatment that would actually provide some level of help.
Speaker 6 (22:17):
Would you date a guy like that? Angela?
Speaker 2 (22:20):
What like him?
Speaker 6 (22:21):
Yeah?
Speaker 7 (22:22):
No? I mean what do you want me to say?
You know, can you imagine being But you know, people
were upset. They were like, why would you explain this
man like that? And like you said, you could not
get that information out of me. He said, when he
was in his teens in twenties, he kept it to himself.
He was always single. Even though he had friends. They
would ask why wasn't he dating? And he didn't want
(22:42):
to go through that. And it did affect his personal life.
And he said he didn't get picked on because nobody
knew about it, but he couldn't go out and have
a one night stand.
Speaker 2 (22:52):
It affected his ability to use a restroom. He had
to sit.
Speaker 1 (22:56):
You said, see, women often say that doesn't matter, but
when in this situation, and I think.
Speaker 2 (23:01):
That's abnormally that's like the size.
Speaker 6 (23:03):
Of like a thumbtack or something.
Speaker 2 (23:07):
No, no, that's a medical term.
Speaker 7 (23:10):
But yeah, because women also have a small penis, you
know that, that's what they call something that we have
in Orgon.
Speaker 2 (23:17):
It's probably about the same size as that. I think.
Speaker 7 (23:20):
All right, Well, anyway, when we come back, we have
the Way Up mixed at the top of the hour,
plus joy Anne Reid is going to be joining us,
and we're gonna talk about what's happening with Venezuela, what's
happening with Ice, what's happening with these midterms coming up?
Every day is something different going on. She's gonna break
down what happened up until Friday. Even after that, there's
so much more. It's way up on the.
Speaker 6 (23:39):
Tea because she came here receipts.
Speaker 7 (23:42):
It's time to spiel like e t all right, it's
way up with Angela. Yee, I'm here and of course
my guy beat out here with.
Speaker 2 (23:51):
All right.
Speaker 7 (23:52):
And as we're getting ready for Jill Scott's a new album, Pressia,
she's been doing her press run and she recently did
Angie My Tina says Irl and she talked about the
type of man that she wants.
Speaker 14 (24:04):
I want to be able to close my eyes while
you drive you know, I want to be at peace,
so I need to know that you are who you
say you are, even when nobody's looking.
Speaker 8 (24:13):
Reading the signs of that.
Speaker 14 (24:15):
I'm getting something to eat or I'm making something to eat,
and I made you some too, whether I asked you,
if you wanted it or not. A cycle of consideration
is a very very good thing to pay attention to.
Speaker 7 (24:29):
She's right about that, And I was called to whom
this may concern, by the way, and the single was precious.
Speaker 6 (24:35):
Jill Scott's like on dating apps.
Speaker 7 (24:38):
If she is, I know she's getting a lot of motion.
I will say that I understand what she's saying. Though,
you know whether or not I'm hungry, don't even like
I come home, you order yourself something. You should have
gotten me something too, because I am very considerate in
that way.
Speaker 6 (24:51):
Also now I'm hungry.
Speaker 2 (24:52):
Are you considerate?
Speaker 6 (24:53):
Like that? Beat that sometimes?
Speaker 2 (24:55):
So no, I'm gonna take that as a no. Right now.
Boosy is not going.
Speaker 7 (25:02):
To have to serve time, and that is big for him.
When he was on lift service recently, he was working
on that and so you could tell he was in
a little bit of a move. But he got time
serve sentence in his federal gun case and he has
to pay a fifty thousand dollars fine. I'm sure he
don't care about that, right and also do three hundred
hours of community service, so that is huge. Here's what
(25:24):
he had to say, and this is from the Neighborhood Talk.
Speaker 6 (25:26):
Hey, I'm blessed to have my freedom. It's trying to
turn up now. You know I've been couldn't do a
lot of it because of his situation.
Speaker 1 (25:35):
I got three movies, reader, I got proudly seven albums ready,
and I'm finn to push the game man. The world's
a better place when Boozy's out of jail. Thanks hilarious
side to.
Speaker 2 (25:45):
My girl Ayana.
Speaker 7 (25:46):
She Boosey is her favorite artist ever of all time
and anything Boosy she like loses her mind over him.
All right now, Teddy Riley has posted still the King
of R and B Bar nine. Can't wait for y'all
to hear the new MU till then teaser missiles will
be dropping. It's about that time for real music legendary.
Let's go r Kelly the King Happy birthday, he posted,
(26:09):
And last week we talked about R Kelly. There was
a snippet of him singing over Chris Brown and Bryson
Tiller's It depends the.
Speaker 6 (26:31):
Aura.
Speaker 7 (26:32):
I'm telling you, nobody gets canceled for real. I know
everybody talks about cancel culture and all of that.
Speaker 2 (26:37):
I don't like listen.
Speaker 6 (26:38):
I still listen to r Kelly. You know, he's the king.
Speaker 2 (26:43):
Yeah, you know they were definitely playing it in Saint Croix.
I was like, okay, any playing chall not see that
I saw.
Speaker 7 (26:50):
You, but yeah, so that is. And by the way,
I just want to say, Teddy Riley does have a book.
His autobiography is coming out on February tenth.
Speaker 6 (26:59):
It's The Ford in Borrow Kelly.
Speaker 2 (27:00):
No, it's not, but it's called Remember the Time.
Speaker 6 (27:03):
Got It?
Speaker 2 (27:04):
All right?
Speaker 7 (27:04):
Well that is your Yet when we come back, we
have asked, yee, eight hundred and two nine two fifty
one fifty is the number any question that you have?
Speaker 2 (27:12):
Me and beat Out are here to help you out.
Speaker 7 (27:14):
I mean, he clearly has no judgment against anybody.
Speaker 2 (27:18):
Here's Leon Thomas with.
Speaker 6 (27:20):
Matt Angela's dropping facts.
Speaker 2 (27:22):
You should know. This is what's up his way up
at Angela.
Speaker 7 (27:26):
Yee, I'm here with my guy beat Out and it's
time for ask ye, and we have Dre on the line,
and he's concerned that he is not being the best
dad that he can be.
Speaker 10 (27:35):
You know, as a dad, you kind of expected to
do everything, but you want to be able to make
it all happen. But my kids hold me to a
different standard. So and I want to explain to them.
I know it's a change that we're going through right now.
Speaker 2 (27:48):
So what is it that you can't do that's been
bothering you?
Speaker 6 (27:51):
All right?
Speaker 10 (27:52):
So on Christmas Eve, my my cousin had got locked
up in jail, so I wind up going to Bella
out there stuff and I fell asleep on Christmas that
I had all their toys and stuff at their mom's house.
Speaker 2 (28:07):
Okay, our kids is uh.
Speaker 4 (28:09):
We meet and they trying to wake me up, but
I've been up all night. You know. It was mad
at me.
Speaker 10 (28:14):
That they didn't get to wake up and go over
there and go get the stuff.
Speaker 4 (28:17):
Okay, But at the same time, you on the phone
with mom, it's like get you.
Speaker 7 (28:22):
So it feels like the communication is off when it
comes to you and the mother, and that is affecting
how you guys can raise your kids together as a team.
Speaker 2 (28:33):
So are you on bad terms with the mom.
Speaker 10 (28:36):
Was pretty cool.
Speaker 2 (28:37):
Okay, that's pretty cool.
Speaker 7 (28:38):
I mean that feels like something that they did eventually
get to go over there and get their toys. That's
not going to be something that they are like, my
dad is awful, you know because of that. I understand
that you're beating yourself up over this and that's one example.
But all you can do is be the best dad
you can be. As human beings, we all are gonna
come short sometimes, and so I would encourage you and
(28:59):
be that.
Speaker 2 (28:59):
I know as a father, there's times you donet messed up.
Speaker 1 (29:02):
Yeah, for sure, you know, cold parenting is easy, but
you know, at the end of the day, you got
to focus on what's important, and that's the children and
what makes them happy.
Speaker 7 (29:11):
And yeah, it might be you giving yourself less credit
because you did get them all their toys. Look, unfortunately,
something happened that was out of your control and you
had to deal with something and you were exhausted and
it made you kind.
Speaker 2 (29:23):
Of fall off your game a little.
Speaker 7 (29:24):
If both you and the mom can come together as
a team to explain when things and they understand it
doesn't have anything to do with you not loving them,
or wanting to be there for them. It's just that
life sometimes is what life is. It's in the way,
you know, and kids will understand that. And you just
got to give them all the love that you can
because guess what, you're gonna make a ten more mistakes.
(29:45):
All you can do is value all the precious time
that you guys have together. You know that your kids
love you, right, yeah, right, and you love them, and
you know, always let them know I'm doing the best
that I can, I promise you, and I'm gonna continue
to do the best that I can.
Speaker 2 (30:00):
And every now and then daddy gonna mess up.
Speaker 7 (30:04):
Angelie, Hi, Hi, y'all love your daddy, And isn't that
all that matters?
Speaker 2 (30:13):
Look at that? All that love? All right?
Speaker 7 (30:16):
Well, looks, spend some time with your kids. You ain't
got to talk to us no more. Tell your sister
stay out of jail.
Speaker 2 (30:28):
All right.
Speaker 7 (30:29):
Well that was ask ye eight hundred and two ninety
two fifty one fifty.
Speaker 2 (30:33):
And when we come back, joy An Read is going
to be joining us.
Speaker 7 (30:35):
You know, I watched the doy Read show faithfully, and
so she's coming up here to kind of talk about
everything that's going on in Venezuela. Break it down for us.
What's happening with ice? Break that down for us. Midterm
elections are coming up. All the things that you need
to know because you cannot let politics happen to you.
Speaker 2 (30:51):
All Right, it's way up, no bed one of.
Speaker 3 (30:56):
Lomos to train this women in radio audio. Men, we're
talking about Angelie.
Speaker 6 (31:00):
Your way up with Angela Yee.
Speaker 7 (31:01):
Please believe that what's up his way up with Angela Yee?
Speaker 2 (31:05):
And you know I love when you come up here?
Do I ann reed is here? Let's get right into it.
Speaker 7 (31:09):
Can you break down everything that's going on in Venezuela.
Speaker 11 (31:12):
The Trump regime committed an act of war against a
sovereign country who were not at war with They escalated
what they had already been doing, which is bombing ships
off of the coast of Venezuela, including killing, you know,
Trinidadian fishermen because Trinidad is so close to Venezuela, and
just bombing ships, taking control like pirates of oil tankers,
(31:34):
all in a quest at least according to Donald Trump,
he said, I want the oil and I'm gonna get it.
What's happened over the last decade is that China has
been knocking on everybody's door. If you go to Jamaica
right now, all of the construction China. If you go
to anywhere in Central and South America, Bahamas, any place
in the Caribbean, China is everywhere. But since we are
no longer in any kind of a relationship with Venezuela,
(31:57):
they're sanctioned. We have sanctions against them because Nicholas Madoro
is a dictator who stole an election.
Speaker 8 (32:02):
YadA, YadA, YadA.
Speaker 11 (32:03):
They've been not just selling oil to China, but actually
buying it in China's currency. The bigger story is that
China is not just taking over the world in terms
of becoming the favorite partner of every developing country in
the world to do business with, which means that the
US dollar is no longer the most power favored currency
(32:25):
on earth. The Chinese you want is challenging us. And
if you always wondered why we tend to have like
cheap stuff in the store, we can buy tds for
a thousand instead of three thousand cheap iPhones. All this
in China, Well, it's partly because of China, but it's
also because of our dollar. The dominance of the US
dollar has kept our economy good for decades. The dollar
has been the king of the world. It isn't anymore.
(32:48):
Starting in June of twenty twenty four, Saudi Arabia, who's
one of the biggest suppliers of oil in the world,
no longer has to buy or sell oil in dollars.
That deal that Richard Nick made in nineteen seventy three
ended in June of twenty twenty four.
Speaker 8 (33:04):
That changed the world. It means it's a free for all.
Speaker 11 (33:07):
People are selling oil in their own currency, even if
you don't care about politics. When the dollar is no
longer the main currency, people are spending and buying and
selling it around the world. Our economy is about to
get jacked.
Speaker 7 (33:18):
Right now, I'm talking to joy An Reid from The
joy Reid Show. Why does Trump want Greenland? Because that's
another place now that he's talking about taking over.
Speaker 11 (33:26):
He wants Greenland for the same reason he's saying he
wants to take over Canada, for the same reason he
wants to take over Venezuela oil.
Speaker 7 (33:33):
All right, So, just to wrap this part up, Nicholas
Maduro was arrested right kidnapped.
Speaker 2 (33:38):
Him and his wife were kidnapped, and two things can
be true.
Speaker 7 (33:40):
I didn't know that much about him, but from what
we've been seeing, a dictator, you know, stole the election,
got his opposition out of there. So they're rejoicing the
fact that he's no longer in power. But at the
same time, the way that he went about it with
a no type of checks and balances system. Here, Congress
had no idea that this was going to happen. But
the oil company is new.
Speaker 11 (34:02):
The oil companies got a heads up. Our Congress did
not get a heads up. But here's the other thing
people need to understand. We did not overthrow Maduro's regime.
Everyone but him and his wife are still in power,
and Trump is willing to do business with them because
all they care about is the oil and forcing Venezuela
to sell oil in dollars. If you are a dictator
that's got oil and you try to sell oil in
(34:23):
anything but dollars.
Speaker 8 (34:25):
Saddam Hussein got got because he tried to do it.
Speaker 11 (34:27):
Most of that back in nineteen fifty seven in Iran,
tried to nationalize their oil and sell it in whatever
currency he wanted. He got got Libyam walmart Kadapi said, Hey,
maybe we'll sell oil in gold that will mine right
here in Libya.
Speaker 8 (34:39):
He got gotten. There's a trend.
Speaker 11 (34:41):
If you try to sell oil or minerals in anything
but dollars, the United States will take you down.
Speaker 7 (34:47):
Joyanne Raid is here with me, and she gets people
all up in arms and all in their feelings when
she talks about everything that's happening in politics.
Speaker 2 (34:54):
We have more with her when we come back. It's
way up, you vab.
Speaker 6 (34:59):
It way up, but angel.
Speaker 14 (35:01):
More.
Speaker 2 (35:02):
Now what's up is.
Speaker 7 (35:03):
Way up with Angela Yee and joy Anne Reid is
here with us today.
Speaker 2 (35:07):
Now.
Speaker 7 (35:07):
I want to talk about Ice, and we saw what
happened in Minneapolis.
Speaker 2 (35:11):
I mean an absolute disaster.
Speaker 7 (35:13):
Renee Good shot and killed by an ICE agent.
Speaker 2 (35:17):
I believe his name is Jonathan Ross. Jonathan Ross. And
we've seen different video.
Speaker 7 (35:21):
I saw you had it on the Joy Read Show
where you were discussing and breaking down exactly what happened.
Speaker 11 (35:26):
So they're about two thousand ICE agents that have been
surged into Minnesota. Because of course Trump is whipping up
the spear of Somali's running rampant over their welfare system.
They're like, we're going to deport as many as we
can get our hands on, as well as obviously as
many brown people as they can get their hands on.
This woman was part of a group of people who
they trained to try to be ICE interrupters, and what
(35:46):
they try to do is observe what ICE is doing,
film them, and try to use their white privilege to
be honest.
Speaker 8 (35:52):
They're mainly white people.
Speaker 2 (35:54):
Which is what we asked, which is what we ask them.
Speaker 11 (35:56):
To do, right, Yeah, Because remember part of the rationale
for doing this with ICE is to save white women
from being ravaged by criminal brown men. So they white
women have been taking the lead in being the ones
to step forward and challenge ICE. In this case, this
white woman and her wife, who's also a white woman.
We're driving in an suv. They part to try to
(36:17):
block ICE from snatching people out of a suburban neighborhood.
The ICE agents come up to the car, they get
out of the car. They bang on her door and
tell her get out of the car. She panics and
starts to back up to get away, but one of
the ICE officers, Jonathan Ross, shot three times into the car,
shot her in the face and killed her. To me,
this is a George Floyd moment George Floyd answered the
(36:40):
question are black people making it up when we say
cops can just kill us?
Speaker 8 (36:44):
And will?
Speaker 11 (36:44):
This is one of those moments when somebody who's supposed
to be safe with law enforcement, a white woman, a Christian,
a mom, she had just dropped her kid off, her
six year old off at school, who's doing all the
right things. She is a citizen. This is not a
question of her being an undocumented immigrant.
Speaker 7 (37:00):
Did they feel like ICE agents were in danger of
their lives in any way?
Speaker 2 (37:03):
They can easily have moved out of the way.
Speaker 8 (37:05):
Easily and did move out and walked away, no injuries.
Speaker 11 (37:08):
And it was that moment where you realize nobody's safe,
and I think Renee Good becomes like the George Floyd
of this resistance against ICE.
Speaker 7 (37:18):
Right now, I'm talking to Joey an Reid from The
Joy Reid Show. People are calling for there to be
some type of justice. What do you think is going
to happen?
Speaker 11 (37:26):
What I would say is to all of these ICE officers,
I would not listen to Stephen Miller and JD Vance
giving you legal advice.
Speaker 8 (37:34):
I would more listen to JB.
Speaker 11 (37:35):
Pritzker, the governor of Illinois, who said, y'all just keep
playing because there will be a change in administration and
there will be a different Justice Department one day. The
statute of limitations on murder is long, and there are
also the possibility of state charges, which Donald Trump can't
help you with. He cannot pardon you if you get
charged by the state. If this guy gets charged with
(37:55):
murder in the state of Minnesota, there's nothing Trump can
do about it. And I would not get you comfortable.
These people are not showing warrants, which they're required to do.
They're violating people's Fourth and Fifth Amendment rights. There's something
called constitutional violation under color of law. And if you
are exercising undue force without having a reasonable attempt to
(38:16):
get the person to comply, you don't have absolute immunity.
Speaker 8 (38:19):
That is just not true.
Speaker 11 (38:20):
I'm a lawyer, but I can tell you that the
lawyers I'm talking to are saying they think they have
a munity.
Speaker 7 (38:24):
That's what they're acting like this, All right, Joyanne Read
is here from the Joyriacho. And there's so much going
on we could not possibly break it all down into breaks,
so we have more when we come back.
Speaker 2 (38:33):
It's way up, Turn me up. Here we go up again.
Speaker 3 (38:37):
This is way up with angela ye.
Speaker 2 (38:39):
What's up is way up with Angela yee.
Speaker 7 (38:41):
Normally this would be last word, but Joyanne Reid is
going to have the last word today.
Speaker 2 (38:45):
Now midterms are coming up.
Speaker 7 (38:46):
Do you feel like there's been any type of pushback
from people that you know obviously be so on Marge
with tail A Green and that was what the Epstein files.
But have you seen any type of like, okay, any
humanity would you say?
Speaker 11 (38:59):
I would say the Epstein fowles was one instance where
you did see a pushback because I think they they.
Speaker 2 (39:03):
Ain't talking about at all.
Speaker 4 (39:04):
No.
Speaker 8 (39:05):
Yeah, also kind.
Speaker 11 (39:05):
Of succeeded in getting that off the front pages. But
you are seeing people break away on two things. One
on this jerry mandering in Indiana, they were like, we're
not jerry mandering our state forew. The other one is
the Affordable Care Act. Yes, and this is self interest.
This has nothing to do with humanity. These Republicans, most
of them are in red states that didn't expand Obamacare.
The subsidies, the federal subsidies for a lot of their
(39:26):
constituents are the only way they get healthcare. So people
are screaming at them, now I need those subsidies. So
you're starting to see it. So you did see the
House defy Donald Trump force a bill onto the floor,
and it did pass, but.
Speaker 2 (39:38):
It still has to make it through the Senate.
Speaker 11 (39:40):
And the problem we have in the Senate is that
the sucker has six I guess you could call them
with it, six of them that decided to go ahead
and reopen the government without getting a deal to extend
those subsidies. The Senate works a little differently. You can't
just force things onto the floor. And so if Republicans,
who have the majority, don't allow a vote on this bill,
it's still dead in the water.
Speaker 7 (40:00):
Donald Trump was very upset that some Republicans in the
House sided with the Democrats. And I see the Republicans
scrambling now, like we have to really stick together. Now,
you can't go against the home team.
Speaker 11 (40:11):
Yeah, they're so scared. I don't count on Republicans to
stand against Trump.
Speaker 8 (40:15):
In the end. They always fold.
Speaker 2 (40:16):
What do you think is going to happen with midterms?
Speaker 11 (40:18):
I mean, they've done a lot to mess with elections,
and I don't know how much confidence I have that
the elections will be untainted. But if we had untainted elections,
I think Democrats would take over the House for sure.
There was a Republican House member that just died out
of California, so they only have a one seat majority
in the House. Now it's very very tight. It's going
to be hard for Republicans to hold onto the House.
(40:38):
I think that's likely Democrats get the House. The Senate
is a little more up in there.
Speaker 7 (40:42):
That's why I want to tell everybody, y'all got to
vote right now. I'm talking to joy An Reid from
The joy Reid Show, and not for the barbes to
come at you. But what did you think about Nicki Minaj?
Speaker 11 (40:51):
And nobody should never listen to anything she says other
than just her music. This lady came here at five
years old undocumented. She understands what it's like to be undocumented.
She's deportable because she definitely was undocumented originally. She is
a Trinidadian. She didn't say anything about the killing of
those Trinidadian fishermen. I'm quite sure the people in Trinny
noticed that she doesn't seem to care about her people,
(41:12):
and the idea of sucking up to Trump not long
after you said you don't want a millenia because you
don't want a weak woman, right, you don't want somebody
that's just sucking up to the president, and after you
criticized his deportation policies yourself. But now all of a sudden,
you're kissing his ass.
Speaker 2 (41:28):
What do you think happened.
Speaker 11 (41:29):
I think she has a brother and a husband. You've
got some serious legal issues, and I think she's thinking,
you know how I can get a pardon. I'll go
be friends with the Turning Points USA. People all kiss
Trump's ass and Dvance's ass, and maybe I'll get pardons
and maybe I won't get deported. It's embarrassing and sad.
The thing that hurts me the most is watching hip
hop artists that I respect musically I'll line up for
Trump because they get nothing from it.
Speaker 8 (41:51):
He will never respect you. You will never be one
of them.
Speaker 7 (41:53):
Well, I've seen people get that she's getting his no
apparently not, which I was surprised because I know it's
all about the money.
Speaker 2 (42:02):
So I don't know what happened there.
Speaker 11 (42:03):
He probably didn't write a big enough check on he
cheatd though. You gotta give the real money, because apparently
that's you gotta do. Ask Carlos Watson. I want to
know how much money they're all paying.
Speaker 7 (42:13):
But you got Carlos Watson got his pardon too. Yeah
from Ozzie Media.
Speaker 2 (42:18):
You did well.
