How are you.

Speaker 1 (00:34):
I'm good. I was just looking at Willow trying to
go through the airport in Atlanta to get back. It's
insane and it looks wild and when I landed here
in Atlanta. But there might be some relief on the way.
So we'll talk about that today. We'll also talk about
last night was a crazy night. The iHeartRadio Music Awards
went down so many different moments.

lot to talk about on a Friday. I'm excitday, I'm exorited.

show off with some love and some positivity. Let's shine

(01:20):
a light eight hundred two nine to fifty one fifty

Speaker 1 (01:41):
All right, it's way up with Angela yee. I'm here
with Tony. What's up to? What's going on with Angela Yee?
I'm in Atlanta. So I appreciate you being here today
to shine of lights. Thank you for having me. And
today I want to shine a light on somebody who
has the same last name as me, but we're not related.
Alexia Ye Alexia y yeah Ae. She's an interior designer

(02:04):
and she actually helped design angel Reese's first home. I remember
when Angelies bought her first house, so she designed that.
She also worked with Jazzore. But she's an interior designer
who this is something she's wanted to do since she
was really young, and she's been killing it. And I
want to say, when you are trying to like curate
your space, sometimes what you need is somebody that can

(02:25):
see things that you can you can't.

Speaker 3 (02:27):
Yeah, and you'll buy a bunch of stuff for your
house thinking it's really cute, but you don't know what
goes together, or you need to like actually separate colors textures.

Speaker 1 (02:34):
People have a real eye for that episode. So shout
out to you, Alexia, and love your name and your initials.
All right now, Jasmin, who do you want to shine
a light on?

Speaker 5 (02:43):
I would like to shine a light on my daughter, Hayley.
We're in Detroit. She's graduating from cash Tech with a
four point one GPA. Okay, top ten Yeah, she's ranked
top ten percent of all the seniors in the district graduating.
She goes to school all your even on Saturdays shooting
for Stanford. Let's go Stanford. So I just want to

(03:06):
shine a lot on my baby and let her know
that Mommy and daddy we are very proud of her.
Our family were very proud of her. And she's exceeded
every expectation that we've ever.

Speaker 6 (03:16):
Had for her.

Speaker 1 (03:17):
Okay, I love to see it. That's a gifted school too.
Shout out to all the students at cast Tech and
to your daughter for being amazing. Are four point one.
That's incredible.

Speaker 5 (03:27):
Thank you, Thank you. Shout out Haley Homan, Love you babies.

Speaker 1 (03:31):
All right, Haley, good job, have a great day you too.
All Right, now when we come back, Tony, you ready
for some yet? I told you there's a lot going on.

Speaker 7 (03:40):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (03:40):
The iHeart Radio Music Awards were last night, and we'll
tell you who some of the winners were. I mean,
R and B Artists of the Year, R and B
Song of the Year, Best New Artists, Hip Hop Artists
of the Year, all of these things, album of the Year.
So we're gonna give you some highlights from what happened
at the iHeartRadio Music Awards. Ludacris was hosting.

Speaker 3 (04:01):
Absolutely so we got to represent Atlanta last night. I
was like, okay, who they gonna have there? But he
did his thing all right.

Speaker 4 (04:07):
His way up they said the rooms from industry shade
to all of gossip out Angeles spieling that et.

Speaker 1 (04:17):
Okay, I heeard. I'm here with my girl, Tony my colleague. Yes,
what's going on? And the iHeartRadio Music Awards were last
night and you hear him playing. He actually Leon Thomas
won for Best New R and B Artists and R
and B Album of the Year. I love that for him, Yes,
I love it so much. Shout out to him for that.
It was all hosted by Atlanta's own Ludacris. Yes, and

(04:38):
Ludacris ended up getting an award also. Now his award
was the Landmark Award, and he also let people know
that he's making a musical comeback.

Speaker 3 (04:47):
Wow, okay, So I wonder what it's gonna be like,
because I mean, I feel like everyone in that that
era of music, they have not lost their touch, so
it's probably gonna be real good.

Speaker 1 (04:56):
It's interesting because he hasn't put out an album since
twenty fifteen wo so that is quite some time. Yeah,
that was a while ago. That's over ten years.

Speaker 3 (05:05):
Is that when it was like My Chick back with
Nicki Minaja's at that same era?

Speaker 1 (05:08):
Yeah, Lunaversal Okay was the name of that album. And
he's been talking about his comeback for like a couple
of years now. So let's see. But anyway, here he
is getting his landmark award.

Speaker 2 (05:20):
This particular award.

Speaker 6 (05:21):
It's one of those things where I work hard, but
I absolutely don't do it myself. I want to thank
the people all behind the scenes. This is what I
want to take this time to do, like the mixing engineers,
the songwriters, the producer, the club DJs, the radio DJs,
my team Ebony Son, Shaka and Jeff, all the managers,
the mamagers.

Speaker 2 (05:40):
The dada jer Judah security.

Speaker 6 (05:42):
Oh they're using me against me right now.

Speaker 2 (05:45):
I'm coming back with new music. I love you.

Speaker 1 (05:49):
All right now. In addition to that, this is great
because toc and Vogus, Salt and Pepper have announced that
they're going on a tour. Yes, right, and so they
performed together. They hit the stage and they performed things
like hold on Waterfalls and here is their collaboration on waterfalls,

(06:14):
hold on Love. When I tell you that I'm excited, yeah,

(06:34):
yeah I did. I don't be at that in any concerts,
but I think I'm a show without and Vogan, Salt
and Pepper. That was so exciting.

Speaker 3 (06:43):
Yes, they look amazing too, like everyone, they aged so gracefully.

Speaker 1 (06:47):
Man shout out to them all right. Also, I saw
Kilanie was on the red carpet with her R and
B Song of the Year award and that was forefolded
and here is Kilanie on that stage. I know that's right.

Speaker 3 (07:18):
The mic is always on for Kailani.

Speaker 1 (07:20):
That's one thing women's history months is feeling so good.

Speaker 3 (07:22):
I know it gets better and better. Only a couple
of days left, but they're showing out.

Speaker 1 (07:25):
All right. Well, that was your iHeart Radio Music Awards. Hello.
Recap Artists of the Year was Taylor Swift and she
got Album of the Year too. Hip Hop Song of
the Year, Luther all right. Hip Hop Artist of the
Year was Kendrick Lamar Out. All right. When we come back,
it is a Friday, so you know what that means
new music Fridays. We'll tell you what new albums, new

(07:45):
songs are out today. It's a good day. I love
a Friday, and I feel good outside. I'm gonna be
in the airport listening to whole albums waiting online. It's
way up.

Speaker 2 (07:54):
This is a judgment freeze all tell us a secret.

Speaker 1 (07:57):
What's up? Its way up with Angela. Ye, it's me
and my girl Tony. What's up? Tony? This is your
first time. Yes, that's part of tell us a secret. Yes,
so let'sie who's gonna pop your cherry today? To nine
to fifty one fifty anonymous? Call it? What's your secret?
I had a.

Speaker 8 (08:13):
Baby with my ex girls. She's my ex girlfriend. Now
I had a baby with her friend. Oh she don't body?

Speaker 1 (08:21):
Wow? How old the baby?

Speaker 8 (08:23):
The baby one year old?

Speaker 1 (08:25):
So were you sleeping with her while you were with
your girlfriend or it didn't happen til after?

Speaker 8 (08:30):
Wow, I was with her and her friend told me
that she was dosing me with some stuff. So in
the process, I just you know, me and her end
up getting together on a drunk night and a few
drunk nights, and then she just popped up pregnant. But
she never told her you know what I mean, And
she never told her men.

Speaker 1 (08:46):
Wait, she has a man, Yeah, she has a minute.
Are you sure that's your baby? Did you get it?

Speaker 2 (08:53):
Oh?

Speaker 8 (08:53):
Yeah, he looked just like me, and her man kind
of questioned it and everything. But a female being a female,
she knows how to work. She knows how to work
them work.

Speaker 3 (09:03):
So being that that's your girlfriend's friend, did you go
to the baby shower with her ex girlfriend? Ex girlfriend. Okay,
did she go to the Okay, so did she go
to the baby shower?

Speaker 8 (09:12):
Baby shower?

Speaker 1 (09:13):
Wow, this is a scandal. I want to ask you this.
Do you want to be in this child's life though?
Because knowing that that's your son, but she's trying to
pass it off like it's her boyfriend's son. Do you
feel like but I kind of want to, you know,
raise the child there?

Speaker 8 (09:28):
Yeah, because as I'm looking at him because this would
be my first this is my first one. He even
got my cricket pinching and know, so this is like
I do. But then like the type of relationship they got,
like they way out, I don't know, it's a lot.
It's definitely a lot with this situation.

Speaker 1 (09:44):
He probably gonna find out because he's already suspicious.

Speaker 3 (09:46):
Yeah, are you ever around her to where they're gonna
be like hmhm the baby kind of looks like him?

Speaker 1 (09:51):
Him?

Speaker 8 (09:52):
So they used to stay with us?

Speaker 1 (09:55):
Friend, you ain't no joan man.

Speaker 8 (10:00):
Once I found out she was dosing me, well, it
was over What does me mean you put it in
my drinking food?

Speaker 1 (10:10):
It's like witch craft?

Speaker 3 (10:11):
Oh my gosh, Okay, yeah, I didn't know.

Speaker 1 (10:13):
Y'all got a lot.

Speaker 3 (10:14):
Going on over there. Your camera.

Speaker 1 (10:16):
I guess it doesn't work. Well, listen, I'm gonna just
mind my business. It's a no judgment zone. But at
some point I do feel like it's mong blowout.

Speaker 8 (10:27):
Yeah yeah, but when it eventually comes out, I like
to go ahead and just take care of my son.

Speaker 1 (10:35):
Yeah, that's what you want to do. I hope this
woman is not dosing you. Yeah, that's crazy. I always
heard about that. I don't know people.

Speaker 3 (10:42):
Yeah, Like, isn't that like when you put it like
in a spaghetti and stuff like that, Like people in
New Orleans say, don't eat anyone spaghetti.

Speaker 1 (10:47):
Well, good luck, thank you. Listen, y'all. If you got
you a good person, stay at home. It's roughing.

Speaker 3 (10:53):
It's around Okay, they're dosed it and everything outside it's
not safe.

Speaker 1 (10:56):
Well that was tell us a secret, I was. I
guess that was a juicy That was very juicy.

Speaker 3 (11:01):
He just kept getting better and better and better. Sorry, friend,
but send us update when.

Speaker 1 (11:05):
We come back. We have your yee tea. And let's
talk about Drewski. He went viral for this latest sketch
that he did, and I would have to say, this
might be one of the best ones. Yeah, I mean
he had the Preacher one that was really great, but
this one was up there. And what I love about
it is how mad yep, certain people got it. Got okay,
it's way up.

Speaker 2 (11:25):
Sure, she's about to blow the lid off this spot.
Let's get it. Angela's feeling that yea.

Speaker 1 (11:30):
Tea, Come and get the tea, all right? His way
up with Angela. Yeah, I'm here with my girl. Tony. Hey, friend,
Hey friend, man, there have been some wild things happening.
And imagine getting served on stage for a lawsuit. Wild job. Yes,
while you're telling a joke on stage in front of everybody. Well,
this is what happened with Lemore Janazi. Now, this all

(11:51):
started where he was on the one fifty four Africa
podcast Hey Goffrey, and he was telling a joke about
the lion king. Here it is.

Speaker 2 (12:04):
You were way off? All right? All right again?

Speaker 1 (12:11):
What is his name?

Speaker 2 (12:11):
It means looke. There's a lion. Oh my god.

Speaker 1 (12:21):
I mean kind of yeah. But the writer, Lebo is
not happy about this interpretation or this joke. Now on
his behalf, he said that they had a conversation behind
the scenes. What he's not happy about is that he's
continuing to tell this joke that he feels like is
disrespectful to his work, and he's now suing Jannazi for

(12:44):
twenty seven million dollars. Not only is he suing him,
but he got served while he was on stage performing
at the lat Factory in front of a packed audience.

Speaker 4 (12:52):
Listen to this, Oh, just conserved for those I wonder
what this is full.

Speaker 2 (12:59):
I did a joke about the Lion King. I'm paying
now the Lion King.

Speaker 1 (13:06):
That's crazy. I feel like nothing's funny at that point.

Speaker 3 (13:08):
I feel like he was trying to like kind of
laugh to hide the pain, because that's embarrassing.

Speaker 1 (13:13):
It's like, how do I how do I know? And
then he went on to tell some more jokes about
the Lion King. I don't think it's that it's.

Speaker 3 (13:21):
Not that serious because the real interpretation it says, here
comes a lion father. Oh yes, it's a lion. Maybe
he just thinks he's like downplaying get so, it's not
like all the way off, but he's just been his feelings.
I mean, no one really knows what it meant. I
didn't know what it meant.

Speaker 1 (13:34):
Well, speaking of jokes, Drew Ski, he did a sketch
how conservative women in America act. Now I'm looking at
it right now. On Exit has one hundred and thirty
one million views. Crazy, you know how wild? This might
be his funniest sketch yet. And he's definitely channeling Erica Kirk.
Now mind you never said her name, said her name,

(13:55):
but apparently Erica Kirk and everybody affiliated with her in
Olive Maga is upset. We do have a little clip,
but you got to actually visualize it because he is
a white woman with blondieir and a white pan in
blue eyes.

Speaker 9 (14:07):
We have to protect all men in America, especially all
white men in America. Those are the boys that we
care about in this country. America is built on their.

Speaker 1 (14:19):
Backs, all right, Well, Drewski posted Erica Kirkson to cease
and desist trying to assume me over a skit. Little
does you know, parody is protected. It's comedy, not defamation.
Y'all got to stop trying to take jokes to court.
So he also means in his grandfather who's white.

Speaker 3 (14:35):
Yes, I mean he's kind of protected there. I mean
he's kind of part of the white boys that he
said protect him. I don't know he knows their name.

Speaker 1 (14:42):
When you see the picture the side by side of
him and Erica Kirk who ever did the nails. Yeah,
also and everything else when I tell you that was comedy,
oh that was Yeah.

Speaker 3 (14:53):
The makeup artist deserves something too, because remember his last
game where he was like the white boy in the
hood and they do a full job like this is
a reproduction.

Speaker 1 (15:01):
Yes, man, I love it. Well anyway, he did a
great job with that, and I love the fact that
so many people who I don't like our upset. Simon
Boles opened up a Taste of Gold restaurant at Houston Airport,
so I know Houston Airport has been a mess when
it comes to TSA. So now you can go to
her restaurant and wait, let us my hot in. But

(15:22):
shout out to her for that. And launched on March
twenty fourth inside of Terminal A, and she had a
ribbon cutting ceremony and yes, congratulations and that is your EUT.
Now when we come back, we have under the radar
and since we're doing these under the radar stories, I
mean news has broken about TSA agents and what's going
to happen next. Yes, that should have happened all along

(15:43):
we're going to talk about it, yes, because I'm about
to fly out, So hopefully this isn't a fact exactly.
Let me get me. It's way up this in.

Speaker 4 (15:51):
The news that relates to you. These stories are flying
under the radar.

Speaker 1 (15:55):
All right. It's way up with Angela yee. I'm here
with my girl Tony Hey for an a all right.
And Donald Trump is adding his name to US dollar bills.
This is the first time the sitting president's signature will
go on paper currency. They announced this yesterday in honor
of the country's two hundred and fiftieth anniversary. So of
course I have Apple pay.

Speaker 3 (16:17):
Yeah, I'm not using thank you, I'm we need to
get rid of yeh dirty anyway.

Speaker 1 (16:21):
All right now, Tyler Perry tried to hand out cash
to unpaid TSA agents, but the FEDS have said, no,
you cannot do that. He showed up at the airport
and you know you're not allowed to give them cash.
So unfortunately, as a rule, no government employee may solicit
or accept, directly or indirectly, any gratuity, gift, favor, entertainment, loan,
or anything of monetary value from anyone who has or

(16:45):
is seeking to obtain government business with the employees agency,
so you're not allowed to do that.

Speaker 3 (16:51):
I just I know they were irritated though, because, like
imagine Tyler Perry is saying, hey, I want to give
you how very much? They say how much he was
trying to give.

Speaker 1 (16:57):
I don't know, but he went with some money to
give to people. But I'm sure or like I would
have met hi. One of the side, Tyler, don't listen
to people. Okay, people did, okay, get card. But Donald
Trump said he's gonna order the Department of Homeland Security
to immediately pay TSA workers as this shutdown is continuing.
He went on his Network Truth social and said he's
gonna instruct them to immediately pay. So not sure, and

(17:20):
this was yesterday. They said that I'm not sure if
this has already taking place, but I'm praying that it will.
I'm praying for them too, because imagine how hard it
is you want me to come to work, not get paid,
undergo all of this stress, and how am I supposed
to support so too much. I'm just hoping that all
of this is gonna get resolved and it should have
never happened. Yeah, and lastly, this really upset you, but

(17:43):
after eighty years. No, this was in nineteen forty six,
mind you, as a staple in American household to minimate
CROs and juice concentrates are now discontinue. Coca Cola announced
they are going to discontinue the entire line. No more
of those frozen orange juices, no more of that the

(18:04):
cam No.

Speaker 3 (18:06):
We used to drink that lemonade all of the time.
You used to go to Walmart, get the pink lemonade,
make it, freeze it, then you know, thaw it out.

Speaker 1 (18:14):
Well, apparently people are not drinking juices like that anymore,
sugary juices like that, And people also have a perception
that anything from concentrates not good. Except with so many
juice options on the shelves, I guess they felt like
this just isn't relevant anymore. But during that period of time,
they said a cannon that could last a week.

Speaker 3 (18:32):
It's shorted, you know, because me and my mom would
just make it and drink it. But I haven't had
it in year, so honestly.

Speaker 1 (18:37):
So you're part of the problem.

Speaker 3 (18:38):
I'm part of the problem. Let me get over it.
It's gonna be okay.

Speaker 1 (18:41):
Ah, Well, that is you're under the radar and now
don't forget we got your Way up mixed at the
top of the hour. It's a new music Friday. Plus
we gotta get into this versus legend and everything that
happened after versus. But will give you some of the
highlights of Tank versus Tyres and who do you think one?
It's way up.

Speaker 2 (19:00):
The receipts. It's time to spill that, y eat.

Speaker 1 (19:03):
What's up his way up at Antela?

Speaker 10 (19:04):
Yee?

Speaker 1 (19:05):
It's me and my girls towny hey, And let's get
into this yeat. And so you remember when Ayisha Curry
got all this slack for talking about how Steph Curry,
she would never have thought she would date him. She
had a no athlete well his the original audio.

Speaker 7 (19:19):
I just didn't think it was going to be a
thing any friends.

Speaker 1 (19:23):
Yeah, I get what you were saying. I'm like, you
never saw him as something.

Speaker 7 (19:26):
But I'm like, when you look back, is there any
memory that you're like, maybe there was something?

Speaker 2 (19:30):
No.

Speaker 7 (19:31):
Never in the beginning, hated it so much, I.

Speaker 1 (19:36):
Like, did not sign up for that. I also always thought.

Speaker 7 (19:39):
Like I didn't know that he was gonna end up
playing basketball, like he said he wanted to be a
high school basketball coach.

Speaker 1 (19:45):
Well, recently she was with Steph Curry on the IMO
with Michelle Obama and Craig Robinson podcast, and she kind
of cleaned things up a little. Okay, she said that
she is like, you know, the way that she said it,
it was was respectful and misconstrue. Here's what she said.
I also heard you had a no athlete rule. That
is true, So to tell me about that very disrespectful comment.

Speaker 7 (20:09):
Also on my part, people for some reason think that
in the past I've said that he wasn't my type.

Speaker 1 (20:15):
But what I was saying was I didn't think I
was his type. Yeah, because this was mister cool.

Speaker 7 (20:20):
Yeah, and so I kind of sold myself short and
thinking like, oh, there's no way he must just like
me as a friend.

Speaker 1 (20:28):
Look, their relationship works. I mean, he talks so much
about how what he's learned from her, and I feel
like people be so like mad at her own.

Speaker 3 (20:37):
Yeah, they never give her a break, whether it's she
want to wear a couple of short shorts or something.
Then she says, well, I reflected on my life, she
can't catch a break, So they just need to leave
her alone, all right.

Speaker 1 (20:46):
Kim Kardashian and ray J they had a secret settlement
back in twenty twenty three and both of them were
not supposed to talk about that sex tape. TMZ got
a copy of the agreement, of course, and it was
confidential settlement agreement and mutual general release. So the point
of this, ray J has agreed not to hold Hulu

(21:07):
or Disney responsible for any claims, but they're not supposed
to talk about it, and the Kardashians talked about it
on their Hulu show. And so this contract was filed
as part of this defamation lawsuit that was filed by
Kim and Chris against ray J overclaims that he was
being investigated that he made that they were being investigated
by effects. They're saying it's all made up. Ray Je

(21:29):
countersuit and he said Kim and Chris have spent two
decades pedaling this false story. He said that they approached
him to sign an agreement barring any party from speaking
about the tape. And he was paid six million dollars
as part of that deal. Oh wow, okay, but he
says they broke the agreement all right. Now. Sha Ka
Khan was recently on the table Manners podcast, and she

(21:49):
critiqued what she sees as people not having vocal ability
and what they're doing to compensate for that. Here's what
she said, change these women are doing every day on
stage and trying to sing too. If the ones who
are doing the most physicalities with their butts and stuff
and their body parts are the ones that usually are compensating,

(22:11):
okay of what they don't have. Okay, Well, I will
say I saw Chaka Khan performed last night at hbcu Awaarfest.
As a matter of fact, I hope Kitty post this video.
We have video of us singing together to Shaka Khan
Sweet Thing, that's my favorite song. I want to tell
you we were going crazy when Shaga Khan had that stage.
She sounds great, she looks great. I love me some

(22:32):
Chaka Khan.

Speaker 3 (22:32):
She's so beautiful.

Speaker 1 (22:34):
She may be judgmental about this, but she comes from
a different error. Yeah, we had TVA. It was just singing.
It wasn't no twerking, it wasn't none of that going on.

Speaker 3 (22:43):
It's the voice and only the voice that's being you know,
viewed and judged.

Speaker 1 (22:46):
All right, Well, that was your yet and when we
come back it is a Friday. So we got your
new music Friday. What are you excited about, Tony? Everything
probably mean though that. Yeah, okay, we'll discuss it. We
got your new music and then it was a surprise
EP that came out today that I'm so excited for.
I had no idea this was happening. It's way up everybody.

Speaker 4 (23:08):
Since, whether it's relationship or career advice. Angela's dropping facts
should this is as.

Speaker 1 (23:13):
Gee, what's up his way up at? Angela? Yee? I'm
here with my girl, Tony Angela and we are getting
into ask yee. And we got her voicemail from somebody
who says that his girlfriend is watching Love and Hip
Hop and is getting bougetto.

Speaker 8 (23:28):
Yeah, yo, I need some relationship indite, Like, I don't know,
my girl must have been watching too much Love and
Hip Hop or something. She's like being bougetto or whatever. Ye,
I need some invite, so man from a female perspective,
All right.

Speaker 1 (23:43):
Well, Tony, yes, I'm not quite sure what he means
by boug shadow.

Speaker 3 (23:47):
I know it means.

Speaker 1 (23:47):
Boogie ghetto ghetto. Yeah, so what do you interpret that?

Speaker 3 (23:50):
I think maybe you know she's probably looking at things
online and she's looking like, you know, at women being spoiled,
and it's like, you know, I kind of want a
little bit more, like take me out a little bit
more often, or if you want a gift, you know
what I mean, she probably wants you to.

Speaker 1 (24:04):
Spend some of that some more coins. Yeah, I'm gonna
give you a couple of pieces of advice. Number one,
comparison is a thief of joy. You need to tell
her that you start comparing yourself to people online who
you think are doing great, and then in real life
a lot of times that's not true. All you gotta
do is list about twenty different tragic things that have
happened to some of the women on the show and

(24:26):
let them know, and let her know that, Look, at
least for us, we are a couple, we're a team.
We're doing things together. I love you, I respect you,
and I'm never gonna put you in one of these positions. Okay,
you know, like what's been going on on the show. Yeah,
But also to know that reality shows aren't for real
reality A lot of storyline did and you got to
get permission to film somewhere. You gotta set scenes up.

(24:47):
You have to be friends, pretend to be friends with
this person who you're not really friends with, so it's
not real.

Speaker 3 (24:52):
And they do stuff for promo, like they may film
at a certain place just for that place to get
you know, some shine on the on the TV, and
like they rent jewelry and bags and everything like that.

Speaker 1 (25:03):
You know, some.

Speaker 3 (25:03):
Proposals may not be real, you know, So it's just
it's smoking mirrors.

Speaker 1 (25:07):
Yeah, you can't be there at the end of the day, though,
if she is really adamant about that, yeah, I think
there might be an issue with her, And that's a
red flag to me. Yeah, that's a red flag. What
if you do? Does he break up or just move on?
I think he's got to assess the situation. Because I
wish she was on the phone so I could get
more information. Because if what she's doing is unfair to

(25:28):
you and she's not being respectful to you or the
relationship and she's already looking at other things and wanting X,
Y and Z, then sometimes there's not much you can do. Yeah,
and I would look at that as a red flag. Yeah,
you know, sometimes people could be really ungrateful about the
situation that they're in and what somebody's doing for them
and you need to then yourself have better standards, you know, so.

Speaker 3 (25:53):
Know you're worth I never really say that during especially
during Women's History Month. But no, you're working all right.

Speaker 1 (25:59):
Thank you for calling it. That's eight hundred and two
nine two fifty one fifty. In case you can't get through,
you could leave a message just like he did and
ask a question and we got you back. And when
we come back, let's talk about versus. That was a
ladies night versus Tyree's versus taint, and so we shall
talk about what some of the highlights were from the night.
I will say tenkats some great viral moments. Yes, he

(26:20):
did for sure. Tyree has an amazing voice.

Speaker 3 (26:23):
Yes, but you are flooding.

Speaker 1 (26:25):
You got a little attitude on him. Listen, I was
surprised Tray songs didn't get mad.

Speaker 8 (26:30):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (26:31):
And then the after effects will tell you what Je
had to say. Raje had a trash versus. Yeah, it's
that I'm so falty. But he waited on this too.
It's way out.

Speaker 2 (26:40):
Oh, let's go turn me up.

Speaker 1 (26:42):
Here we go upgain.

Speaker 2 (26:43):
This is way up with Angela ye.

Speaker 1 (26:45):
What's up? His way up with Angela yee? And I'm
here with my girl, Tony, what's going on? Friend? And
listen friend. I know we were watching Versus, Yes, and
I have to get a recap because I was at
State Farm, Marina last night her HBCU Aware Faest. But
when I tell you, there were some amazing highlights.

Speaker 3 (27:01):
Yes, it's it's an R and B show, but it's
given a comedy comedy show as well.

Speaker 1 (27:06):
Tank does stand up comedy too, and he's got jokes.

Speaker 3 (27:09):
Yeah, it's funny, all right.

Speaker 1 (27:11):
So one of the things that he did was they
were kind of going at each other, and then Tank
did a whole song about Tyrese wearing a turtle. Listen
to this any time you feel like a.

Speaker 2 (27:27):
Turk the turtle there.

Speaker 1 (27:38):
I want to say that was probably one of the highlights. Yeah,
because I mean a riff like that.

Speaker 3 (27:42):
He's like, Tank is so talented that like he can
make a joke out of anything and it sounds so
cold because he can sing, you know, all right.

Speaker 1 (27:49):
Well, in addition to that, here are some back and
forth between Tank and Tyrese. I know that they had
a group together TGT. They always go back and I
feel like there's love there, but I feel like low
key they get Yeah, listen to this. How you going
like that?

Speaker 10 (28:07):
How you gonna act like that? You took up that
turtle neck because that turtle neck was acting like that.
You're an opener, so keep keep opening.

Speaker 9 (28:14):
No, sir, we.

Speaker 10 (28:16):
All need a comedian before the main act come out.

Speaker 2 (28:18):
I'm the only.

Speaker 10 (28:19):
Artist on this stage that has done for headline tours,
not him.

Speaker 2 (28:22):
That's fine.

Speaker 10 (28:23):
Listen, Fast and Furious is nice, that's fine, But you
can't tour now.

Speaker 1 (28:26):
Tank has written for a ton of people, and a
lot of them showed up. Of course, Jay Valentine was
there with him. Of course, he had LaToya Luckett there,
he had Jamie Fox there, he had Wilet there. Here
is Jamie Fox talking about his tight relationship with Tank.
I remember seeing them a long time ago, like when
I've worked I didn't even work at iHeart yet. Yes,

(28:50):
and I remember seeing them together like in Miami. That's
how long they've been working together. So listen to what
Jamie Fox had to say.

Speaker 10 (28:56):
I got a second chance in life. Yes, this man
right here into my house years ago and he said, Fox,
I'm a quit music.

Speaker 1 (29:05):
I said, take you can't quit music, because if.

Speaker 2 (29:09):
You quit music, what would we do?

Speaker 9 (29:12):
And to be here on the stage.

Speaker 10 (29:13):
On my second chance, and to watch this capricorn absolutely
take you to another level.

Speaker 2 (29:19):
God bless y'all.

Speaker 1 (29:20):
All right, Well, in spite of what a lot of
people were saying on social media, Tyree says that he
won the verses. What do you think?

Speaker 3 (29:27):
You just gotta let Tyree believe his reality?

Speaker 1 (29:30):
All right? He went to in and out afterwhek beah,
that's where the winners go.

Speaker 3 (29:33):
And he's trying to do his whole Michael B. Jordan thing.
I just let Tyree's do what he wants to do.
But I feel like take different. I mean, you know,
it's the live thing, the funny thing, you know.

Speaker 1 (29:43):
Right, I mean, and Tyree said bring out Chimney, but
that it was good chi and.

Speaker 3 (29:47):
Jamie Fox is not fair.

Speaker 1 (29:48):
Yeah, you don't.

Speaker 3 (29:49):
You don't bring out you know, Jamie Fox can bring
out I know, I.

Speaker 1 (29:53):
Guess all right now. In addition to that, a lot
of people waiting afterward and the Ray Jay who didn't
have such a great verses when he performed, if you recall,
he was like taking singing lessons. Yeah, afterward, here's what
Rey j has to say. I didn't know him and
Tyree wasn't like that issues. Why you gotta act like that?
I don't know. I knew what you did there, Tyresee
was worse than I was on versus.

Speaker 8 (30:14):
I can just feel the turtleneck and the anxiety and
his voice and in his mood, Tyresee was trash.

Speaker 1 (30:21):
I think Tank One. Another person who waited was comedian
Mojo Brooks, and here's what he said, Somebody come get
Tyree Sais up off this stage. Man.

Speaker 2 (30:30):
They ain't had no business putting him up versus.

Speaker 4 (30:32):
No Tank, Maybe Jane Holiday or why Koe Cyrus or
something like not no damn.

Speaker 1 (30:40):
All right, well, no doubt it was quite entertaining.

Speaker 3 (30:42):
Yeah I didn't in general, just seeing them like paired up,
it's going to be entertaining.

Speaker 1 (30:47):
It's going to be funny.

Speaker 3 (30:48):
They have a lot of history there, so like it's
just brothers doing brother stuff.

Speaker 1 (30:52):
All right, Well, what a great last night was just
for everybody. It's all about the fans. It was a
Ladies nine thing. When we come back, you guys, it's

going to be eighty four degrees in Atlanta today, y'all
not playing out here with the weather. Yeah, people are
gonna start acting up now. People want me to document
my journey going back home, back.

Speaker 3 (31:41):
To me Yortan because that airport just the I mean,
I even saw people like willing to if you pay
me off stayd line for you, Like it's that bad.

Speaker 1 (31:49):
So if you know, just take your risks, but get
there early. Well, coming out here, I had no problem.
There was one person online in front of me.

Speaker 3 (31:56):
Really, yes, if you come in like landing flights are okay,
but just getting out of it that's the problem.

Speaker 1 (32:00):
You know, I'm saying, JFK. I thought it was gonna
be awful. It was awful later yeah, then I saw
people you just don't know, so at this point, just
get there early. But also try to be polite and
nice because a lot of people are going through things.
People are literally breaking down crying in the airport.

Speaker 3 (32:15):
Yeah, and so because I heard someone say, you never
know why someone's getting on a plane, so just have grace.

Speaker 1 (32:21):
So all right, well again, thank you for joining me today.
Thank you to Atlanta and HBCU Awaarfest. That's what I'm
