Speaker 1 (00:00):
Y y yeah, yee's what you all been waiting for.

Speaker 2 (00:03):
Oh you're tapped in the way up with Angela yee.

Speaker 1 (00:07):
Yes, it's way up with Angela. Yee.

Speaker 3 (00:09):
It's a new year, guys, don't forget. It's twenty twenty
six and my good friend is back. Fred Mwangagahanga is
here with us.

Speaker 4 (00:15):
How's you going?

Speaker 3 (00:16):
He is media mogul buying businesses, but he also is
the founder of Media Takeout.

Speaker 1 (00:21):
So thank you for coming back again.

Speaker 4 (00:23):
I'm grateful to be here.

Speaker 1 (00:24):
As soon as you walk in.

Speaker 3 (00:25):
We just had all kinds of stories going on behind
the scenes that we're going to talk about.

Speaker 4 (00:29):
That's right here today.

Speaker 3 (00:31):
H And every time I look at Media Takeout, there's
always a story that I'm like, no one else has
picked this up yet, But.

Speaker 4 (00:36):
Yeah, I mean we're out here reporting. We're just kind
of beating the street, giving you exactly what you want.

Speaker 3 (00:40):
All right, Well, listen, we're gonna have Angel Matsey on
the show Real Housewives of Potomac.

Speaker 4 (00:45):
Wow, that's a good lady.

Speaker 3 (00:46):
Yeah, she had a really big episode that just aired.

Speaker 4 (00:50):
Yeah, yeah, a lot of scandal around.

Speaker 3 (00:52):
Her, right, So we're gonna see what she has to say.
But I did ask her like all the questions of
all the rumors that were brought up about her, So
you'll hear from her specifically on what happened. But on
the last episode, she brought everybody on a trip to Colorado.
They thought they were staying in her house, but she
had them in an airbnb. Yeah, and so she's gonna
break down what actually happened with that behind the scenes.

(01:14):
But let's start to show up with some love and
some positivity. Let's shine a light eight hundred two ninety
two fifty one to fifty.

Speaker 1 (01:20):
Call us up, let us know who you want to
shine a light on.

Speaker 5 (01:22):
Its way up, buck up, I'm shin, I'm shine Turn
your lights on, y'allspreading love to those who are doing greatness.

Speaker 2 (01:32):
Shine the light on them, Shine a light on It's
time to shine a light.

Speaker 1 (01:37):
On them, all right his way up at Angela.

Speaker 3 (01:39):
Yeah, I'm here with my guy Fred for media takeout
and who do you want to well today? And we
were talking behind the scenes, but we want to shine
a light on Renee Good and everybody in Minneapolis right now,
everybody who's being affected by seeing what ICE is doing.
And ICE officer fatally shot her yesterday morning. And this is,
by the way, just blocks away from where George.

Speaker 1 (02:00):
Floyd was murdered.

Speaker 3 (02:01):
I mean, this is crazy in twenty twenty, and I
hate the way that the president and people are trying
to frame this situation.

Speaker 1 (02:09):
But she was just trying to drive away.

Speaker 4 (02:12):
Yeah, she was just observing right then, and she.

Speaker 1 (02:15):
Ended up getting murdered by Ice.

Speaker 3 (02:18):
And here is the mayor of Minneapolis, Jacob Fry.

Speaker 1 (02:22):
Here's what he had to say to Ice.

Speaker 6 (02:24):
Get the heck out of Minneapolis.

Speaker 7 (02:26):
Your stated reason for being in this city is to
create some kind of safety, and you are doing exactly
the opposite.

Speaker 6 (02:32):
Somebody is dead. That's on you.

Speaker 7 (02:35):
This was an agent recklessly using power that resulted in
somebody dying.

Speaker 6 (02:40):
To the family, I'm so deeply sorry.

Speaker 7 (02:42):
We're going to be working towards justice as quickly as
we possibly can right now.

Speaker 3 (02:47):
Donald Trump said, the woman screaming was obviously a professional agitator,
and the woman driving the car was very disorderly obstructing
and resisting, who then violently, wilfully and viciously ran over
the Ice officer who seems to have shot her and
self defense right, never ran over. But we're going to
talk about this more today, but you know, love and positivity. Julian,

(03:08):
who do you want to shine a light on?

Speaker 8 (03:10):
Yeah, I want to shine a light on my my
wife from my first child. I was expecting to have
a child in January third. However, complications came and I
stayed positive and she came to number fifteen.

Speaker 1 (03:21):
Okay, you're scaring me. Well, congratulations, thank you, thank you
very much.

Speaker 8 (03:27):
And with every dark cloud, you've always got to stay
positive because he's the names so she's beautiful.

Speaker 3 (03:32):
Oh, Zira, Well, congratulations. I'm so glad that you have
a healthy baby. And congratulations to both of you.

Speaker 9 (03:39):
Thank you very much, and you have a good date.

Speaker 1 (03:41):
Okay, you listen to your show every morning?

Speaker 3 (03:44):
Ah, thank you, I appreciate it. Well, that was Shina
Light eight hundred and two nine two fifty one fifty.
If you couldn't get through, you could leave a message
in Shina Light that way. And when we come back,
we have you're yeetee and since Fred is here, we're
going to do some media takeout exclusives.

Speaker 1 (03:58):
You always have the tea on I do.

Speaker 3 (04:01):
I don't know who your sources are allegedly, but we
do have an exclusive.

Speaker 1 (04:05):
It's way up t of course you came with receipts.

Speaker 2 (04:09):
It's time to.

Speaker 1 (04:10):
Spill that yet, Yeah, it's but yeah put angela ye.

Speaker 3 (04:13):
I'm here with my guy Frad Muwanga Gahanga from Media
Takeouts and we have an exclusive all right about Diddy?

Speaker 1 (04:20):
So tell us about this?

Speaker 2 (04:21):
Right?

Speaker 4 (04:22):
So, I think everyone knows that Diddy still has about
two and a half years left on his term. But
we can report now that did he as soon as
he went in to the Feds, he applied and he's
been accepted into the First Step Act?

Speaker 1 (04:36):
So what does that mean?

Speaker 4 (04:37):
So that means the First Step Act is a law
that was passed in twenty eighteen that allows people to
enroll in programs like work programs, drug programs, and you
could significantly reduce your time by up to eighteen months.

Speaker 1 (04:50):
Oh wow, Yeah, so it's a nice reduction, right.

Speaker 4 (04:53):
So, I mean you think about it with the amount
of reduction in time that Diddy can get from the
First Step and release, which he'd be eligible to also,
we could expect that did he is very likely to
come home by the end of this summer.

Speaker 1 (05:07):
Yeah, because originally May twenty twenty eight was his.

Speaker 4 (05:09):
Release May twenty eight, right, he is.

Speaker 1 (05:12):
Let me tell you something. He has not left out
any option.

Speaker 4 (05:14):
No, no, I mean, he has the best legal team
in the world and they're gonna make sure that they
do everything they can to bring him home as soon
as possible.

Speaker 3 (05:20):
All right, So there's been no official statement, but somehow
y'all got to school.

Speaker 4 (05:23):
We got it.

Speaker 1 (05:24):
Okay.

Speaker 3 (05:25):
Now, I have another story that I wanted to talk about.
Yesterday we discussed Chris Red, former cast member from SNL,
and he was under fire also for dating Keenan Thompson's
ex wife. Well, here is originally what he said when
he went on his Instagram and posted just basically his
own emotional plea about everything that's going on.

Speaker 10 (05:46):
I know a lot of people talk about me Dayton
Kenny Thompson's ex wife and how that came to be.

Speaker 4 (05:52):
While I was at the show. I had some pill issues.

Speaker 10 (05:54):
I was even selling something to some of my castmates.
But it was really funny to me that I would
be around it and people would talk about me and
I would hear him. But help me, this lady was
the only one to help me with my She helped
me with my therapy journey, you know, and she told
me things about her life that made me look at
a lot of people involved in the difference, and in
that time he fell in love and I felt bad

(06:15):
from the start.

Speaker 3 (06:16):
Well, I got information from a source, all right, very
close to the situations here, who says Christina, that's the
ex wife, confirmed that she doesn't even hear from him
anymore unless he calls for whatever reason. But anyway, this
is the same guy that after he got knocked out,
told people that it was the best promo he ever
got for his last comedy special, and he's been called

(06:37):
ever since. Now you put out this video and promote
an upcoming New York City show where you'll be discussing
a relationship that you're not even in anymore.

Speaker 1 (06:45):
If this was.

Speaker 3 (06:46):
About a public apology, and you said yourself, once thing's
been public, Keenan felt a way, So why would you
publicly open a wound up again instead of reaching out
to Keenan directly. If it was about love, he would
respect her and the kids privacy as well, But it's not,
and his career and respect went down the drain and
she left him, and now he needs a way to
get noticed again. So what kind of public apology is this?

(07:08):
And he needs to get help before instant karma punches
him in the face again.

Speaker 4 (07:12):
Yeah, I mean the guy is doing a lot of talking. Allegedly,
he's doing a lot of talking, and the sources are
upset about it.

Speaker 1 (07:18):
I guess, yeah, yeah, when you do something like that.

Speaker 3 (07:20):
And look, I don't know if he's speaking his own truth,
but I can understand also, like this story was gone,
I don't want to move.

Speaker 4 (07:28):
There's also a children involved in this too, right, Like
so I think, you know, sometimes you gotta just let
sleeping dogs lie.

Speaker 3 (07:33):
I think, all right, well that is your yee te Okay,
exclusive when we come back, we have about last night
where we'll discuss what happened last night. My dad, both
of my parents are still at my house. They've been
there for a long time now. But he was watching
over and over again what happened in Minneapolis.

Speaker 1 (07:50):
It's way up.

Speaker 2 (07:52):
So about last night I went down.

Speaker 1 (07:58):
Yeah, it's way up.

Speaker 3 (07:59):
But Angela, I'm here with my guy, Fred m Wangagahanga
cel Media Media mogul is that okay, I'll take it, Okay,
all right, And so about last night?

Speaker 1 (08:09):
What did you do yesterday?

Speaker 4 (08:11):
Uh so yesterday was my birthday?

Speaker 9 (08:14):
What?

Speaker 4 (08:14):
Yeah?

Speaker 3 (08:15):
Yeah, nobody told us. This is that why you brought
us cupcakes?

Speaker 4 (08:19):
I did? I did. I had a couple left over.
I said, bring them over here.

Speaker 3 (08:22):
But that's not a couple. You brought a couple of dozens. Okay,
all right, well, thank you for that. I love when
it's someone's birthday and they feed us. Well, happy birthday,
my Capricorn brother.

Speaker 2 (08:31):
Thank you.

Speaker 1 (08:31):
I love to hear it. So did you do.

Speaker 4 (08:33):
Something or I did? I went to the next game
and they won, so.

Speaker 3 (08:36):
Wow, what a present. I was watching the next game
and they lost, and it was an awful loss, by
the way. I was literally watching it and I couldnot
believe in overtime how they lost.

Speaker 4 (08:49):
I mean, they played well, they.

Speaker 3 (08:50):
Played well, but you know, you can play well, but
if you don't win, but shout out to our nets anyway,
that's you know, my team to the next year.

Speaker 1 (09:00):
They're trying, all right.

Speaker 11 (09:01):
Well.

Speaker 3 (09:01):
The other thing is, you know, my parents had been
at my house yesterday. My accounting came over and we
were going through some of my brother's stuff trying to
figure out how to close out his accounts and everything.

Speaker 1 (09:10):
So that's a whole process.

Speaker 3 (09:12):
But in the midst of all that, my father has
been watching this ICE officer murdering a woman in Minneapolis.

Speaker 1 (09:20):
And it was awful to watch.

Speaker 3 (09:22):
You know again, Rene Nicole Good is her name, and
ICE agents wouldn't even let a doctor go check her
pulse to see what was going on. Here is that
audio back.

Speaker 2 (09:34):
Now, I'm a position.

Speaker 1 (09:36):
Are you serious? You murdered a woman and a doctor
wanted to check her post and you.

Speaker 4 (09:43):
Don't care he may have been able to save her too.

Speaker 3 (09:46):
All right now, the mayor of Minneapolis also has spoken out,
and here is Jacob Fry.

Speaker 1 (09:51):
He did, he did.

Speaker 3 (09:52):
He was discussing what happened, and he used some language
that I think is appropriate.

Speaker 6 (09:59):
Two, Ice, get the heck out of Minneapolis.

Speaker 7 (10:01):
Your stated reason for being in this city is to
create some kind of safety, and you are doing exactly
the opposite.

Speaker 6 (10:08):
Somebody is dead. That's on you.

Speaker 7 (10:10):
This was an agent recklessly using power that resulted in
somebody dying. To the family, I'm so deeply sorry. We're
going to be working towards justice as quickly as we
possibly can.

Speaker 6 (10:21):
Right now.

Speaker 3 (10:22):
Now, I want to take it to our listeners because
ICE is in a lot of cities right now.

Speaker 1 (10:27):
You know, they're in New York, They're in New Jersey.

Speaker 3 (10:30):
Clearly, they're in Minneapolis, they're in chicot they're everywhere, and
so we want to know what your experience has been
with ICE in your city. And we were discussing also
what are their requirements to be part of ICE, because
I see all these recruiting messages and they're going to
forgive your student loans, pay you really well, but what
type of training do you really get Because to me

(10:52):
watching that video, these people are not trained, you know,
and how to deal with the situation. So we want
to hear from you eight hundred two nine to fifty one,
what has been your experience with ICE in your city.
We want to hear your first hand accounts and stories
that that's eight hundred two nine two fifty one fifty
it's way up.

Speaker 2 (11:09):
Well, it's the famous women in radioIO. We're talking about
angela Ye. You're way up with angela Ye. Please believe that.

Speaker 1 (11:16):
All right, it's way up with Angela Yee.

Speaker 3 (11:17):
I'm here with my guy, Fred M. Lawyer, journalist extraordinaire,
I'm also a media mogul, and we are talking about
ICE in Minneapolis and how they murdered Renee Nicole Good
and ICE has been in a lot of different cities,
So we want to know what has been your experience
with ICE in your city. Right now, we have Skyler

(11:37):
on the ground in Minneapolis. Skyler, how are you you
goys see what's going on?

Speaker 1 (11:43):
Yeah? No, I want to hear from you though.

Speaker 4 (11:45):
Oh, justice, no peace.

Speaker 1 (11:46):
Everybody's going to keep fighting the movement.

Speaker 12 (11:48):
This is not acceptable, Like they're continuing to kill people
with no merit.

Speaker 1 (11:53):
It doesn't make sense. And then what is ICE doing here?

Speaker 3 (11:57):
I mean it was definitely that was a murder, and
I would be scared because that could happen to anybody.

Speaker 1 (12:02):
And then the president speaking about.

Speaker 3 (12:04):
It afterward, it makes you know that these agents aren't
gonna go Yeah, there's no repercussions, but the.

Speaker 12 (12:11):
News will definitely make you think that there are like, oh,
we're gonna do this.

Speaker 1 (12:15):
But he's paid at home, all right. Well, thank you
for calling and checking in with us. Thank you so much. Hey, Kevin,
what's up?

Speaker 11 (12:22):
What's up?

Speaker 12 (12:23):
Ye?

Speaker 2 (12:23):
The morment? How are you?

Speaker 1 (12:25):
I'm good.

Speaker 3 (12:26):
It's me and Fred here and we're talking about ice.
So tell us what your experience has been.

Speaker 9 (12:31):
Of course, of course, first and foremost, I want to
say thank you so much for you know, setting right
on the topic and speaking up to those who you
know have been oppressed lately and just don't have the
voice to speak. More importantly, I want to speak on
my experience. I lived in Hackensack, New Jersey.

Speaker 2 (12:46):
This week.

Speaker 9 (12:46):
We had a full raid from like about seven thirty
in the morning till about seven pm, all day, all
over the town. You know, I grew up in the city,
so it's very heartbreaking and devastating the scene. You know,
our neighbor again picked up. These are you know, our friends,
our neighbors, nammis, our gardeners, everything. But they do the
work that people don't do. And I feel that it's

(13:08):
very important to get allies during this time. You know,
our community has no voice and scared to speak up
because there are consequences when you speak up and you
have actions like these.

Speaker 1 (13:19):
Yeah, that's a good point, right.

Speaker 3 (13:21):
It has to be the people who they're not going
to be the ones who get supported, but they need
to be completely in alliance with the people who are
right now endangered.

Speaker 9 (13:30):
Exactly during the Black Lives Matters movement, during George Floyd
and more, you know, events that happened in the past,
we all came together and we made a statement. So
you know, I feel like together as one, as they
say in Spanish at bulo needo is mas, and together
we are stronger.

Speaker 3 (13:48):
Oh well, thank you so much for Colin. I appreciate
you say that phrase for me again so I can.

Speaker 9 (13:52):
Say it as at our interview. Okay, I mean the
town together will never be be.

Speaker 1 (14:00):
All right, thank you. I appreciate you for calling. Have
a great day you too, Hey, Ron, how are you?

Speaker 13 (14:06):
I'm all right.

Speaker 1 (14:08):
So Fred and I are here. We're wondering what's your
experience with ICE.

Speaker 13 (14:11):
I was at a party and they came and ready.
It was like a Mexican party. They put everybody in handcuffs,
zip ties.

Speaker 6 (14:18):
Wow, it was awful.

Speaker 13 (14:20):
They zip tied my hands behind my back connected to
my ankles, and they picked me up by the zip
tied handcuffs and carried me downstairs. And once they got
me downstairs, they wanted to make sure they verified that
I was an American citizen. Once they did that, they
cut me loose and let me go. But they were

(14:43):
not apologetic, and they just say they're doing their job
and basically slapped me on the ass and told me
to get out of there.

Speaker 1 (14:50):
I'm so sorry that happened to you.

Speaker 13 (14:52):
Yeah, yeah, it's an awful thing. And you ain't any apples Indiana.

Speaker 12 (14:56):
I wonder who are these ice agents that are okay
with having these jobs.

Speaker 1 (15:02):
I appreciate you.

Speaker 3 (15:02):
For calling and sharing that with us, and I really
am sorry that happened to you.

Speaker 13 (15:07):
I appreciate your apologies, but you didn't do it.

Speaker 1 (15:10):
We know it, Yeah, we know. And wait till his
judgment day comes. All right, feel like it's.

Speaker 13 (15:17):
Been four years already and it's only been one.

Speaker 1 (15:19):
I'm hoping it ain't gonna last.

Speaker 3 (15:22):
Like something gotta give year, something got to give voting
those midterms, everybody, all right, thank you for calling. All right, Well,
thank you guys so much for calling in talking about
your experiences. I know so many people have stories that
they want to tell when we come back.

Speaker 1 (15:37):
We have your yee t and.

Speaker 3 (15:39):
Kevin Hart has entered this strategic partnership. It's a brand partnership,
and I need you Fred to break it down because
I know you understand these types of deals, and so
we're gonna break down that deal and also talk about
Mike Epps. He also discussed Kevin Hart and Kevin's business acumen.
While he was on Club Shah, we got that for you.
Next it's way up there.

Speaker 2 (15:58):
And she's spilling it all. This is yeaty way up.

Speaker 3 (16:04):
All right, his way up with angela yea, I'm here
with my guy, Fred Mwonga goahanga.

Speaker 1 (16:08):
He is a media mogul.

Speaker 3 (16:10):
But we also know when I first met you as
the founder of Media Takeout. Now Kevin Hart has announced
the new partnership with Authentic Brands Group. I knew you
were coming in here today, so I was like, I'm
going to ask Fred to break this whole partnership down.
And his new agreement consists of him co owning and
managing his brand with Authentic, but he also is a

(16:31):
shareholder in the company.

Speaker 1 (16:32):
So explain this to me.

Speaker 4 (16:33):
So Authentic is one of the biggest licensers of brand
names around the world, so they own the rights or
they license the rights to Elvis Presley, Shaquille O'Neil. They
also own a bunch of big companies David Beckham, David Beckham,
they own a bunch of big companies like Forever, twenty one,
Frocks Brothers. Yeah. So, by Kevin Hart entering this agreement,
not only does he get a big check from them.

(16:54):
He actually is a partner, so a part owner of
everything that Authentic Brands own.

Speaker 3 (16:59):
Oh that is dam had any of the other guys.

Speaker 1 (17:02):
I wonder if they have a deal like that.

Speaker 4 (17:04):
I think Shaquille O'Neil has a similar deal. I don't
know what everyone else is here.

Speaker 3 (17:07):
So that means if they want to open up like
a Kevin Hart restaurant or something like.

Speaker 4 (17:10):
That, well, Authentic Yeah, not only they manage it, they're
actually going out there and trying to take advantage of opportunities. Right,
So Athentic Vans is going out there and they're going
to be creating stuff like maybe there's a Kevin Brand,
Kevin Hart restaurant or Kevin Hart buildings, So they're they're
going to actually go out there and create these opportunities
for him too.

Speaker 3 (17:28):
Well, he posted, this is a massive moment for me
in my career. I am extremely thankful for my team,
he said. Joining Authentic is a major shout out to
my brothers Shaq and David Beckham for leading the way
and helping with this massive move. Our partnership will be
game changing. Major shout out to Michael Rubin for just
being a mentor and a brother.

Speaker 4 (17:44):
Yeah, WHOA Okay, I guess this is Kevin Hart's road
to the billion.

Speaker 9 (17:48):
Now.

Speaker 3 (17:49):
I want to say, Michael Epps was recently on Club
Shay Shay, and you know, they had like a little
falling out beef back and forth, but then they made up. Okay,
you know, as you can see because he went and
did his show. So Mike ex is on there talking
about Kevin Hart because he said Kevin Hart used to
actually open for him sometimes and he would help him
out early on.

Speaker 1 (18:07):
Here's what he said for me, and Kevin.

Speaker 13 (18:09):
Hart had a little problem.

Speaker 14 (18:10):
Yeah, Kevin was a dude that came right up under
me and he blew up and they weren't no longer
talking about Mike Gepps. But I didn't know that other
part of the business. I got to show business, and
all I was good at was the show part of it.
And then I had to end up learning from him,
and I didn't understand that.

Speaker 2 (18:28):
So I took it to heart.

Speaker 14 (18:30):
And he don't remember, but a couple of times I've
seen him and he kind of brush me the wrong way,
all right.

Speaker 1 (18:36):
So feels like, you know, the person who was the.

Speaker 3 (18:41):
I guess the student ended up becoming the teacher in
some ways when it came to business.

Speaker 4 (18:44):
Yeah, I mean, Kevin Hart is known as one of
the best businessmen out there, and here it's a great
team of writing too.

Speaker 3 (18:50):
And I do also want to say he shouted out
Michael Rubin right, Kevin Hart did. But Fanatics Fest is
also going to be returning, and Tom Brady, jay Z
and Travis Scott are I'm actually going to be part
of that lineup. And also Kevin Hart of course, following
his partnership with Authentic Brands Group, he'll be there as well.
That's going to be at the Javid Center July sixteenth,
July nineteenth.

Speaker 4 (19:10):
That's a great I mean, if you're in New York,
you should definitely come and get to see it all.

Speaker 1 (19:14):
Right now.

Speaker 3 (19:14):
In addition to Mike EP's talking about Kevin Hart and
Kevin Hart's business acumen, he also talked about his.

Speaker 1 (19:21):
Own buying houses.

Speaker 3 (19:23):
You know, he had this whole buying back the Block
series that he did on HGTV.

Speaker 1 (19:27):
Here's what he said.

Speaker 14 (19:28):
I always promised myself, if I ever got some money,
I was going to go back and buy all the
houses that we got evicted out of.

Speaker 2 (19:34):
And I did.

Speaker 14 (19:34):
I made an address list. You've read them out, yep,
I ran them out. My family stay in them and
told my mother that too.

Speaker 1 (19:42):
I love that you too, Yeah, I love it? All right.

Speaker 3 (19:46):
Well that is your geet. When we come back, we
have under the radar. These are the stories that are
not in the headlines.

Speaker 1 (19:51):
They're under the radar. And reading.

Speaker 3 (19:53):
Reading is fundamental. But a lot of y'all ain't doing that.
And we're gonna give you some of those numbers. You said, yeah, because.

Speaker 4 (20:00):
I'm not a big reader, you're one of them.

Speaker 1 (20:01):
Yeah, it's way up.

Speaker 5 (20:02):
I got news this in the news that relates to you.
These stories are flying under the radar, all.

Speaker 3 (20:08):
Right, Fred, this is about you, and so one of
these under the radar stories. Reading is becoming rare. Now
Essence put out an article. If you read more than
two books last year, If you read more than two
books last year, you're already ahead.

Speaker 1 (20:21):
How many books did you read last year?

Speaker 4 (20:23):
I read zero books. I'm not proud of it. I'm
not proud of it.

Speaker 3 (20:26):
Well, you are part of the forty percent of the
US population that did not read a book at all.
You as adults, and by the way, a lot of
us should be listening in the books on audible as well,
which I think has made things a lot easier. So
when you're in the car, when you got your headphones in,
at least you.

Speaker 1 (20:42):
Can do that.

Speaker 4 (20:42):
I think that's probably what I'm going to do. I
mean reading. I mean, you know, once you go to school,
you do a lot of reading. In my job, I
do a lot of reading. I read a lot of articles,
but not books. Yeah, the idea of like on your
day off, when I'm reading articles and reading you know
stuff every day. Now on my day off for fun,
I'm going to do what I do for work. That's just.

Speaker 1 (21:02):
I love it. You know, I read all the time.
I listen to audible all the time.

Speaker 3 (21:05):
So I read the book, but then when I get
in the car, I could listen to the audible.

Speaker 1 (21:09):
I think it's I.

Speaker 3 (21:09):
Love people's true stories too. Like I'm a big fan
of nonfiction. I feel like nonfiction real stories are even
more entertaining sometimes in fiction.

Speaker 4 (21:19):
I'm going to say that I'm going to do audiobooks
and I'm going to do nonfiction.

Speaker 3 (21:23):
Now, Democrats tend to read more on average than Republicans,
just so you know, that's part of the study too.
And Americans who pay more attention to what's going on
in government and public affairs are more likely to read
more books than those who pay less attention. But the
most popular genres are mystery and crime. That's followed by history,
biographies and memoirs, thrillers, fantasy, and more. Okay, so, and

(21:46):
almost triple the number of women read at least one
romantic title compared to men.

Speaker 1 (21:51):
I feel like women read more than men.

Speaker 4 (21:52):
Also, I think you're right about that. Every time you
see a woman, she's always talking about a book that
she's reading, and you don't really hear that question.

Speaker 3 (21:59):
I'm about to relaunched my book club, and I expect
you to be there.

Speaker 4 (22:02):
I will be there.

Speaker 1 (22:02):
All right, Well, that is your under the radar. We
do have the way it mixed for you.

Speaker 3 (22:06):
At the top of the hour plus from Real Housewives,
The Potomac Angel Massey is going to be joining us.
She is a new cast member this season, and she's
been having a tough season.

Speaker 4 (22:16):
She has she has she's got a lot of drummer like.

Speaker 1 (22:18):
All right, we're going to talk about it. I love
that you watch and keep up.

Speaker 4 (22:21):
I'll watch her for this.

Speaker 1 (22:22):
It's way up.

Speaker 3 (22:23):
She's like to talk like they Angela Jean, like they
Angelie Jean and.

Speaker 2 (22:27):
She's spilling it all. This is yeaty.

Speaker 1 (22:30):
Well, all right, it's way up with Angela.

Speaker 3 (22:34):
Yeah, I'm here with my guy Fred Mwongaga hunga hey,
and let's get into some of this yeaty.

Speaker 12 (22:39):
That's twenty twenty six. iHeartRadio Music Awards.

Speaker 4 (22:43):
I can't wait.

Speaker 1 (22:43):
I know Song of the Year. What was the song
of the year this year? Now? Because it's all dramers,
I don't be knowing all these songs.

Speaker 3 (22:51):
Just to keep it real, Anxiety by Dochi's on the list,
good News by Shaboozie, Luther, Canta, Lamar, and Sizza. Also
Mut by Leon Thomas is on the list, and then
other people I may not know be as familiar with.

Speaker 1 (23:03):
Out of those, what would you say, I'd.

Speaker 4 (23:06):
Probably say it's between Luther and Mutt me too.

Speaker 3 (23:10):
That's exactly what I was gonna say, because at first
I was thinking Mutt, but then I was like, Luther
is huge, so best my song too. Those both of
those songs were songs that the first time I heard it,
I was like, this is a hit, like from the
first time you heard it, So pick one.

Speaker 4 (23:25):
I think I'm gonna have to go with Kendrick and Sissa's.

Speaker 1 (23:28):
Okay, Luther it is and hip Hop Song of the Year.

Speaker 3 (23:32):
Luther is also nominated for that Nokia by Drake, Outside
by Cardi B, The Largest by Big X, The Plug
and What You Know About Me Glorilla featuring Sexy Red.

Speaker 4 (23:41):
That one's got to go to Golrilla, right.

Speaker 3 (23:43):
Gloriula, Yeah, I can see it. I can see that. Okay,
it's Glorilla or Luther. Yeah, I would have to say
it's one of those two. But anyway, those are just
some of the nominees. Now, speaking of music, Spice is
doing a guy gospel song.

Speaker 7 (24:00):
Now.

Speaker 3 (24:01):
First of all, changed her hair from blue to a
beautiful shade of red. She looks amazing and she has
made this announcement. Her first gospel inspired single is called.

Speaker 1 (24:11):
God Don't Play About Me.

Speaker 3 (24:13):
You know, we always say that, but a lot of
times people say that it's because they want something bad
to happen to somebody else.

Speaker 1 (24:18):
Like, you know, God don't play about Me.

Speaker 4 (24:20):
I mean, what is she going to be wearing in
the video. That's the thing, because I mean, Spice is
known to wear some pretty risque outfits.

Speaker 3 (24:27):
It don't matter though, if God don't play about you,
you could wear what come as you are a baby?

Speaker 1 (24:31):
All right? Well, here is a snippet of that song,
ooh cop And I'm giving thanks for the things God
brought me through, grateful for what I have and.

Speaker 4 (24:40):
The things He's about to do.

Speaker 1 (24:45):
Because I believe it's true Revelation twenty one. You gotta
make all things.

Speaker 3 (24:52):
New And the video comes out tomorrow, all right, can't wait?

Speaker 1 (24:55):
All right?

Speaker 3 (24:56):
And speaking of new music, Bruno Mars has announced his
new album, The Romance Tick, with the lead single is
coming out soon. It's his first solo studio album since
twenty sixteen.

Speaker 4 (25:06):
I mean everything that he touches is basically a hit,
so we can expect he's probably gonna be on the
iHeart Record the iHeart Awards next year, right.

Speaker 3 (25:13):
Yeah, he's super talented, absolutely, And he's also announced that
he's got stadium tour days happening this year where Annison,
Pat Victoria, Monett, ray and Leon Thomas.

Speaker 12 (25:23):
That is a good lineup. Yeah, that's a good lineup
the Romantic Tour. I'm like, listen, you might got to
bring the white out of that.

Speaker 1 (25:30):
Yeah, all right.

Speaker 3 (25:33):
And ray J has been hospitalized in Vegas with pneumonia
and heart pain. A source close to him told TMZ
he got X rays and there's no word yet on
the results of that, but you know, prayers up for however, he's.

Speaker 4 (25:47):
A good dude. I mean, you know, a lot of
times people see he's a little bit wild.

Speaker 3 (25:50):
But that's a good dude because people don't just say
that he really is. Ray J will say that he's
a little bit wild and asap. Racky recently did an
interview with w Mattazine and.

Speaker 1 (26:00):
He talked about a few different things.

Speaker 3 (26:03):
He discussed his fashion style and being a fashion icon,
which he is, which he is, and he said I am.
And he also talked about the crushes that he had
growing up all right, and being a father.

Speaker 1 (26:15):
Here's what he said.

Speaker 4 (26:16):
I found myself way more emotion than that of a
half kids.

Speaker 14 (26:19):
Before the kids and children, I was probably a piece,
you know, cold hearted, but now I think I'm a loving,
loving kind of fella.

Speaker 1 (26:27):
You know what's going to happen when somebody tries to
date your daughter, I.

Speaker 4 (26:31):
Pray for them, mm hmm.

Speaker 3 (26:34):
But he talked about like who he had a childhood
crush on, and it was the Olsen twins and he
said the.

Speaker 4 (26:40):
Something because he has he seemed like he was whispering
while he was in that.

Speaker 1 (26:44):
I think that's his alter ego.

Speaker 3 (26:46):
Okay, yeah, he's saving people, all right, he's a superhero.

Speaker 4 (26:50):
I like it.

Speaker 1 (26:51):
All right.

Speaker 3 (26:51):
Well, that is your yet and when we come back,
ask ye eight hundred and two ninety two fifty one
fifty any question you have me and Fred got your back.
This is a good time for you to call and
ask about any type of business advice or legal advice.

Speaker 4 (27:02):
I'm here for that.

Speaker 3 (27:03):
We have somebody here who is certified, okay in doing
those things.

Speaker 1 (27:06):
So eight hundred nine two fifty one fifty.

Speaker 3 (27:09):
Or maybe you want to ask how to keep your
name out of people's mouths. He can help you figure
that out too. Or if you have a story to tell,
we can put it on media. Takeout eight hundred two
ninety two fifty one fifty.

Speaker 5 (27:20):
With it's relationship or career advice. Angela's dropping facts. You
should know this is as key what's up?

Speaker 3 (27:26):
His way up with Angela Yee? And my guy fad
Mwongagahanga is here with me today. He is a business
expert but also a lawyer. So you have a lot
of information that I know people want to hear. And
we got James on the line. He was involved in
a really bad car accident and he's trying to get
his money.

Speaker 9 (27:42):
So I got to a back card cent maybe two
years ago and the guy killed.

Speaker 6 (27:47):
Somebody and he hit me, broke my leg. I learn
how to walk with the birth of my daughter.

Speaker 15 (27:52):
One for a shirt.

Speaker 9 (27:54):
We had a restitution in another day and they said
that the parents offered to pay restitution, which is about
twenty thousand, and they said they will pay that.

Speaker 6 (28:04):
But then they after they are journed.

Speaker 9 (28:06):
They say, well, if the parents don't pay within a year,
then it's on him. So it's no guarantee that they
have to pay, but we just disagreed to them pay.
So my thing is is it any legal where I
can get that documented or it's by a formality.

Speaker 4 (28:20):
So you say it's a restitution hearing? Was this in
a criminal matter or was this in a did you
sue him? Or what was that hearing about?

Speaker 6 (28:27):
Criminal matter?

Speaker 4 (28:28):
Yeah, so I think it's going to be tough for
you to get the money that way, But you could
still bring a civil action against him against his insurance company.
They could be possibly other people that could be responsible.
Maybe there was some other cars involved, maybe the city,
maybe he had a pothole in the city, maybe responsible.
I think it's important at this stage you suffered real

(28:49):
damages to get a lawyer and really start exploring your
options because I think that there may be really a
real chance of you getting a significant payout of this.

Speaker 3 (28:58):
Yea, because do you have a lawyer or who who
told you that you couldn't.

Speaker 9 (29:01):
Get We just went through it box to the family
of the guy he killed and me, we just went
to the hearing.

Speaker 4 (29:08):
Just get over the case over with. We just think
of it. At this point, the prosecutor is most their
job is to try and get the person incarcerated, and
so once he's there, I think it's going to be
hard for the prosecution to really follow up on a
lot of this thing. But you should definitely get yourself
a lawyer. I think that you have a real case
over there, and there's a good chance.

Speaker 3 (29:28):
That you can catch And don't wait too long because
you said this was two years ago.

Speaker 9 (29:31):
Yeah it was a march.

Speaker 3 (29:34):
So yeah, sometimes the longer you wait, because like Fred
was saying, statute of limitations matters, and I think you
have three years. But the faster you do this the
better and get it started, the better. And I want
to say I can understand that, and I'm sorry that
that sounds like an awful accident. I'm glad that you're alive.
You know, condolences to people who lost their family member.

(29:54):
But I don't think that you should just give up
on the restitution because I understand that it's annoying. Nobody
wants to have to go through this, but you really
do need to get a lawyer and make sure that
you get you know, you're just due.

Speaker 2 (30:06):
Appreciate that.

Speaker 13 (30:07):
Thank you.

Speaker 4 (30:08):
One other thing too, the lawyer. Typically in cases like this,
you don't have to pay the lawyer. The lawyer works
on what's called a contingency. So the lawyer would do
would essentially be giving you free legal services because they
only get paid.

Speaker 3 (30:19):
After you win, right right, right, all right, good luck
than you too. All right, Well that was ask ye
eight hundred and two ninety two fifty one fifty Thanks Fret.

Speaker 1 (30:28):
That was great.

Speaker 3 (30:29):
Every time I say, you know, people love some free
legal advice all every time you come up here. But
when we come back, we got Angel and Massey joining
us from Real Housewives a Potomac. She just had an
explosive episode and this is her first season on the show.
Do we think she's going to want to come back
for another one? It's way up.

Speaker 2 (30:46):
It's way up with Angela.

Speaker 1 (30:48):
Let's go.

Speaker 2 (30:49):
You are a media maven, right.

Speaker 14 (30:51):
You never know what Angel's going to say.

Speaker 3 (30:54):
What's up is way up with Angela. He and the
timing for this guest is impeccable. Angel Massey is here
from your house as a Potomac. Thank you for joining us,
Thank you for having me. I'm excited, Yes, me too.
What did you envision when you joined the cast this season?
And then we'll talk about what actually happened.

Speaker 12 (31:12):
I thought that I would be able to come into
this group and you know, have some commonality with everybody,
and I expected some lady shade, but I really expected
to kind of be a bridge between people.

Speaker 1 (31:25):
And clearly better than that.

Speaker 12 (31:27):
One thing that I have learned where housewives are concerned
is they're gonna think what they want to think, and
they're even gonna make you know. Normally, if you don't
like somebody, you can just go off and never see
them again, you know what I mean.

Speaker 16 (31:38):
But you to your party, but you're meeting up for bruns,
you meeting up for dinner to fight, you meet up
to fight, you know what I mean. It's not just
when it happens, it's also the aftermath of when it
actually airs exactly, and then everybody's weighing in from what
they've seen exactly.

Speaker 12 (31:53):
I hadn't watched the season until this past weekend because I, yes,
I needed to give myself that space and break, and
boy have I watched it, and boy have I processed it.
I mean, it is kind of shocking to see how
much went on behind my back.

Speaker 1 (32:09):
Right now.

Speaker 3 (32:09):
Take it to Angel Matthew from Real Housewives of Potomac.
You feel like this is a hazing you know, just
this being your first season. It's like, okay, because one
thing that has been said throughout the show is that
they showed a whole mintage of You're saying, I just
want to get to know the ladies better. I want
to spend some time, and people were saying they didn't
feel like you really did want to get to know

(32:29):
them better.

Speaker 1 (32:30):
Well I did, Okay.

Speaker 12 (32:31):
I really did, and I tried hard, and I don't
think that if I didn't want to get to know them,
I wouldn't have invited them to my house more than
one time after the first time when they acted up
like I wouldn't have shown up the way that I did.
I wouldn't have tried so hard. And it's unfortunate because
you don't you know, it's only forty four minutes so
the show, so you don't get to see scenes where

(32:51):
I'm one on one with Stacy, or where I'm one
on one with Ashley Ashley, or where I'm inviting the
women two more things than jim N Carr Ashy.

Speaker 1 (33:00):
No, I'm just kidding. She is Ashy. She is Ashy
Ashy Ashley. But yeah, you.

Speaker 12 (33:05):
Don't get to see those things. And that's unfortunate because
it kind of looks like I was on an island
by myself. But I was trying to get to know them.
I mean, I remember during filming to Zelle lost Power
and I text her and I say, you know, if
you want to come over to take a bath or
do any of that stuff, please feel free bring your kids.

(33:26):
You know, invited Wendy to lunch with me so that
we could hash out things on our own. I mean,
gave Ashley a toolbox and said, look, I want to
build a bridge to getting to know you like I
did the work, and that's why you see me feel
so kind of really hurt at the mean girl antics
and really the rejection when to me, I've not done

(33:49):
anything but at human which is respond when someone is
unkind to me.

Speaker 3 (33:54):
You know, I know it must have been hard for
you for the fact that you couldn't even watch it
until this last episode.

Speaker 12 (34:00):
No, I needed to separate myself a little bit from
it because one, the unkindness was directed towards me, and two,
I just do not like to see black women treat
each other that way.

Speaker 1 (34:13):
And that's not the type of narrative.

Speaker 12 (34:15):
That I wanted to be a part of joining this group,
and I find myself in the center of it, and
so it's really kind of jarn.

Speaker 3 (34:22):
Angel Massy is here from Real Housewives at Potomacs. She
is a noviie this year, but this last episode she
really showed out. We're going to talk more about everything
that's being said about her and how she feels about it.

Speaker 1 (34:33):
It's way up here, we go upgain.

Speaker 2 (34:35):
This is way up with Angela Yee.

Speaker 3 (34:38):
What's up as way up with Angela Yee and Angel
Massy is here from Real Housewives of Potomac. This last episode,
you took everybody to Colorado, and you had some of them,
most of them staying in a different house, except for
Tia and k who stayed with you in your home.
There was a separate house and they were upset that
they didn't know that was going to happen. Now I
could tell your hierarchy based on who got what room.

(35:00):
Uh yeah, okay, Now Wendy got a whole entire floor.

Speaker 1 (35:03):
She did to herself.

Speaker 3 (35:04):
Yeah, but throughout it it felt like Wendy took shots
at you a lot. But then you said, you guys
had a conversation, but we didn't get a chance to
see that. I don't feel like nope, So tell me
what happened with that. Originally the trip was supposed to
be a couple's trip.

Speaker 12 (35:16):
My house in Colorado is six bedrooms, six bathrooms, and
a lot of those bedrooms my kids live in and
my husband and I live in, so not everyone was
ever going to be able to stay it.

Speaker 3 (35:27):
You don't need no grown people staying in the kids room,
you know what I mean exactly.

Speaker 12 (35:31):
The situation was always going to be that I was
going to acquire a home for all the couples to
stay in, but not everybody is in a couple, so
the trip had to change, and it had to change
at the last minute. And unfortunately, in Colorado, millions of
people booked there stays ahead of time, and so by
time the house was booked, that was what was available.

(35:54):
And you know, I'm a newbie and I'm putting the
cash trip on my back. So it's not easy situation
for me because there are all these unsaid expectations that
no one was like I did the trip to Nevis.

Speaker 1 (36:08):
Yeah, but this is her first successful trip.

Speaker 12 (36:10):
Let's not forget that she hosted an event in the
parking lot of her home and she wouldn't even let
the ladies go to the bathroom in her house. She
had them paying outside like puppies. So I mean, come on, Giselle.

Speaker 3 (36:22):
Right now, taking to Angel Massey from Real Housewives a Potomac,
all right, but so did you give them a heads
up that they were staying in a different place or
where they caught off guard?

Speaker 12 (36:30):
I mean, I didn't tell them that they were staying
at my house, but I didn't explicitly say you're staying
at another house.

Speaker 1 (36:36):
But I think that I.

Speaker 12 (36:37):
Thought that that was implied, but perhaps I could have
communicated that better.

Speaker 3 (36:41):
So Ashley and Gizelle ended up having to share a room. Yes,
but we see in the trailer for the next episode
Gizelle is going to book her own place.

Speaker 1 (36:49):
Yes she does, she does. Okay, she does. So what
does that mean for the relationship moving forward after that?

Speaker 12 (36:56):
You know what, now that I have seen the episode,
there is no relationship. I have seen how she has
talked about me behind my back. I have seen how
she has apologized and then gone right behind my back
and talked about me. And people are asking, why do
you come from Wendy? Why do you come for Wendy
instead of Giselle and Ashley. The one thing I can
give Wendy credit for is that she acted funky a

(37:18):
little bit to my face and I couldn't figure out
what it was. But that's because she couldn't hide that
she was talking about me behind my back. So what
about Ashley? What are your thoughts on her?

Speaker 9 (37:26):
Now?

Speaker 1 (37:26):
After watching everything? Not a fan of Ashley, what do
you think about her dating Seriesi's son. I think that
it is really out of pocket.

Speaker 12 (37:34):
You have known her for a long time, but instead
she did it behind her back. She has seen this
man since he was young. I don't know, it's given
something that it shouldn't give. It's given kind of weird
and creepy. She's thirty seven, he's twenty five. And so
if it happened what two to three years ago, so
this man was twenty two.

Speaker 1 (37:49):
I mean, come on, Lena, say it's not illegal. It's
just yeah.

Speaker 12 (37:53):
But you know, just because something is an illegal doesn't
mean it's not kind of creepy and morally suspect. Oh man, listen,
So let's see what happens when do y'all take the reunion.

Speaker 1 (38:02):
It's coming up. It's coming coming up real soon. Okay,
smiling like girl, look at your face. You're like, all
right now. But thank you so much for coming up.

Speaker 3 (38:16):
I'm hoping that everything goes smooth and that we see
you back again.

Speaker 1 (38:19):
Yeah, we'll see.

Speaker 12 (38:20):
But it has been a pleasure talking to you. You
are wonderful, your energy is beautiful.

Speaker 1 (38:25):
Well, thank you. I appreciate that.

Speaker 3 (38:27):
Thank you so much to Angel Mattie for coming through
and clearing up a lot of things. You can watch

Speaker 3 (38:46):

him up asking Fred. So listen, we got responsibilities and
things to hand. But also thank you to angel Massey
for joining us today. We're tuned in to Real Housewives

Speaker 4 (39:08):
Probably Atlanta, but Potomac is a close second.

Speaker 3 (39:10):
Yeah, I feel like Atlanta's the longest running out of
all of those.

Speaker 1 (39:14):
But yeah, what about Salt Lake City? Have you watched
that yet?

The problem is there's no requirements, no training, no nothing.
It's just a bunch of people to make sure they
have their masks on harass them people. And if you
noticed he got in his car and drove away after
he shot that woman, he might not even have been
a legitimate legal quote unquote Ice Station. There's some jackass
