But we have a great show for you today. You know,
I love me some Deborah Roberts. She is the co
anchor for twenty twenty ABC News senior National Affairs correspondent,
and they have an amazing episode coming up. I know

(00:32):
you saw the documentary Perfect Neighbor, and they're gonna do
a deeper dive into that. And if you don't know
the story, Woman's white lady, Susan Lawrence moved into a
neighborhood and shot and killed her neighbor, Aljica Owens, through
the door. And so we're gonna delve more into that
story on twenty twenty this Friday. But Debora Roberts is

(00:54):
here to give us a preview of what they'll be
talking about. They actually interview the woman's son, Oh wow,
on the show. He was eight at the time and
he's older now. He's I think he's twelve. No, he's
twelve now. Yeah, he's twelve now. So it's such a
tragic I had to like stop watching it for a
minute because I needed a moment.

Speaker 4 (01:13):
Yeah, it's intense.

Speaker 3 (01:14):
All right, Well, let's shine a light. Let's do something positive.
Eight hundred two nine to fifty one fifty call us up.
Let us know who you want to shine a light on.
It's way up a.

Speaker 5 (01:24):
Turn your lights on, y'all, light spreading love to those
who are doing greatness.

Speaker 6 (01:29):
Shine a light on them, Shine a light on.

Speaker 2 (01:33):
It's time to shine a light on.

Speaker 1 (01:35):
All right.

Speaker 3 (01:36):
It's Way Up with Angela Yee and Jordie Geory is
here with me today.

Speaker 1 (01:40):
I know that's right.

Speaker 3 (01:41):
And today I want to shine a light on somebody
who was one of the early guests on Way Up
with Angela Yee, and that is actor Cheryl Lee Ralph.

Speaker 1 (01:49):
Now recently she was.

Speaker 3 (01:50):
In Ultra Rios, Jamaica, and she, when I tell you,
looked amazing living her best life in her bikini. I
was like, oh kay, Cheryl, But you know, just seeing it.
Everything that she's been doing with Avid Elementary, she says
a standout on the show, and she's also been doing
a lot too. Uh, and she's been on the front
lines talking about HIV awareness just all of the things
that she does. I feel like her platform is not

(02:12):
just for her as an actor, but also for her
bringing awareness to different things and just looking amazing doing it.
So should out to Arlie relf stressed. Yeah, and I
appreciate her transparency. I think she's just so comfortable in
talking about any topic. She's been through so many different
things in this business, in this industry.

Speaker 1 (02:31):
She's sixty nine years old.

Speaker 4 (02:32):
Say she looks great.

Speaker 1 (02:33):
Listen.

Speaker 3 (02:34):
It's things like that that make you realize how getting
older gracefully is such a blessing. And I look forward
to being sixty nine when I see her period. All
right now, Wendy, who do you want to shine a
light on?

Speaker 6 (02:45):
I like the shady light over my daughter Leah. She's
doing her entrepreneur things right now, you know, with her
move Bok.

Speaker 1 (02:51):
Okay, what's the name of the book, Globe Girl? Okay,
shout out to Mia Glow Girl.

Speaker 7 (02:57):
Yeah.

Speaker 6 (02:57):
It's for empowered teenage girl to grow, leave, overcome and win.
It's like a motivate you the book for teenage girls.
This week Junior high school and high school college age.

Speaker 3 (03:09):
That's really sweet. I love that well. Shout out to
me and we shine a light on her. Thank you
for calling.

Speaker 6 (03:14):
Okay, thanks yous.

Speaker 3 (03:16):
That was shining light eight hundred two nine fifty one
fifty Just in case you couldn't get through and you
ready for some yet, Jordy George always when we come back,
many Pakia versus Floyd Mayweather? Is this really gonna happen?
Is it just an exhibition fight? Is Manny Pakia still
coming on the show. These are all questions we need
answers to. It's way up, man, she's.

Speaker 2 (03:36):
Spilling it all. This is yeaty well.

Speaker 3 (03:41):
All right, his way up with the angela yee. Jordy
Door is here with Jordie. Let's get into this yea
te So Kanye West is certainly not canceled, Nope, And
he performed us so far and definitely a sold out
comeback show in Los Angeles, thousands of and we're in
the building.

Speaker 1 (04:01):
It was a two hour show.

Speaker 3 (04:03):
It's the first of two shows that he's doing, and
people were talking about the amazing visuals. It was a
floating earth. He did, however, have some issues with lighting.
You know, Kanye is there's always gonna be something. It's
something at the end of the day and air on
bread for him. And here he is upset and getting
annoyed at the light effects.

Speaker 8 (04:24):
Yo, I don't like these human lights move like that
like a disco of don't do that.

Speaker 1 (04:29):
Stop doing that, running back like we y'allways.

Speaker 9 (04:32):
Do with it.

Speaker 8 (04:34):
Shot shot shop shop shop.

Speaker 2 (04:37):
You see that when it does that, don't do that.

Speaker 1 (04:39):
I run it down like we y always do with.

Speaker 9 (04:44):
Up.

Speaker 1 (04:45):
Is this like an SNL spirit or something.

Speaker 2 (04:47):
We went over this in rehearsal.

Speaker 6 (04:49):
It is.

Speaker 3 (04:50):
Oh man, well listen, Northwest was on that stage with him,
Like I said, a two hour show. It's interesting because
people were saying, oh, nobody cares and done and.

Speaker 1 (05:01):
It's definitely not true.

Speaker 3 (05:02):
And we can see from the streaming numbers of Bully
Yes and Dan, we know you care as well. In
spite of everything he's in And he also is headlining three
nights at Wireless Festival in the UK. That's his return
to the stage there for the first time in eleveny years.

Speaker 1 (05:15):
I saw a lot of people having.

Speaker 3 (05:16):
Conversations because you know, he's performing the same days that
Jay Z is performing at Yankee Stadium. If you had
a choice, which one would you go to?

Speaker 1 (05:25):
Oh, gosh, I don't know.

Speaker 10 (05:27):
Here's what I'll say. I've seen jay Z before, I've
never seen Kanye before.

Speaker 1 (05:31):
I've seen both. What would you go to? Dan? I know,
we know one thousand percent.

Speaker 4 (05:35):
Yeah, I've seen them both, and yeah, is a performer.
The productions there.

Speaker 1 (05:41):
The production Yeah, that's true. It's definitely gonna start late
though Jay starts on time.

Speaker 3 (05:47):
All right, good to know. Speaking of things happening or
not happening. Mayweather versus Pakia, the September nineteenth rematch between
the two of them is in limbo right now now.
According to Paquiao's team, it's still on and it's supposed
to be an actual sanctioned fight. But Floyd Mayweather, he's
trying to say now that he wanted to be an

(06:08):
exhibition fight, so there's no termination of any stort. According
to Pacquiao's team, they said that Floyd Mayweather is officially
in breach of his contract and has been in a
breach since the day he went out and said what
he said on Saturday, and he's officially in a breach
as of yesterday. So Floyd Mayweather is saying it's an exhibition.
As far as I knew, it was always supposed to

(06:29):
be a sanction fight, right, That's how they promoted it originally.
So changing it to that, I think takes away some
of the hype for something like that, because you know,
Mayweather's undefeated is on the line.

Speaker 10 (06:40):
I wish he hadn't agreed to it at all.

Speaker 3 (06:43):
Right, but it's feeling like you know, and from what
we're hearing. Also, he did take some advances on his
money too. According to the CEO of many paquiaw Promotions,
he said that he signed for not one, not two,
but three different agreements on three different dates with two
different parties that got intertwined and this is all related
to his return to professional boxing, and received money for

(07:05):
all three agreements when he signed them. So don't know
what's happening, but I guess we'll see. They also were
saying they wanted this to be at this sphere in Vegas,
which could have been a big deal, but nothing has
been finalized. So I don't know when we come back
about last night. I was up last night because you know,
I've been watching Imperfect Women. I don't know if you

(07:25):
watched that show. Yeah, all right, so we'll talk about that.
I want to know what you did, Jordy Door.

Speaker 1 (07:29):
It's way up night.

Speaker 9 (07:33):
Night.

Speaker 2 (07:34):
So about last night, Yes.

Speaker 1 (07:36):
It's way up. But Angela, yeah, I'm here with Jordie Door.
What were you doing last night? Sis?

Speaker 4 (07:41):
Not a thing, okay, a thing.

Speaker 1 (07:43):
I was at the bar, at my local bar that
I'm always at. Oh that's fun. Yeah, I like that,
have a little drinking drink.

Speaker 3 (07:49):
I actually can appreciate people who do that because of
a person who has to look a license and a
cafe right now. I appreciate people that come like they
get their local cheers.

Speaker 11 (08:00):
You know.

Speaker 1 (08:00):
Man. And I do want to say.

Speaker 3 (08:02):
I saw this restaurant that I used to go to
in Brooklyn is closed now Bird Pepper.

Speaker 1 (08:07):
I was so sad.

Speaker 3 (08:09):
It is so sad seeing all of these businesses closing,
and I wish I could go to all of them.
But I know sometimes when they get like a GoFundMe
or they raise money, it's just like a band aid
on something that's bleeding out. And so I am hoping
that something else comes up in the future. But I
was watching Imperfect Women. I've been watching that on Apple.
You're gonna think that I'm crazy for this, but my

(08:32):
friend Jay got all of the screeners in advance, and
so I already know what's going to happen, but I'm
still She was like, I don't want to tell you.
I was like, just tell me, just tell me.

Speaker 1 (08:40):
I don't care. I'm still watching it to tell me.
So now I already know who did it?

Speaker 4 (08:43):
Okay, what's a giving? Is it good?

Speaker 1 (08:45):
Yeah? So I would say on Rotten Tomatoes.

Speaker 3 (08:48):
It's not not that I pay that much attention to that, okay,
but I'm enjoying it. Once I get into a show,
I get kind of like locked in. I do like
Harry Washington, and I.

Speaker 10 (08:58):
Like the other girl too, Maa, Kate Mara whatever her name.

Speaker 3 (09:02):
Is, Okay, the okay, but yes, and I know who
you're talking about. But yeah, so it's it's so far
like I was trying to figure it out and it's
not who I thought it was going to be.

Speaker 1 (09:11):
But I guess that's always the case.

Speaker 3 (09:13):
I always think in one of these who'd done it,
they're going to make it the most obvious thing because
we think it's not right.

Speaker 1 (09:17):
Yeah, but you know you gotta watch and turn in
all right.

Speaker 3 (09:21):
Now, Another thing that happened is Jackie Fabulous was on
lip Service.

Speaker 1 (09:26):
She's hilarious.

Speaker 3 (09:27):
This was the time, Yes, and I saw her stand
up special and then she came on and she was
so funny. But people were really upset about this clip
that we have put out to By the way, just
go take a look about why she got a divorce,
why it didn't work from her first husband, who by
the way, has since passed away, so he's not going
to see any of this. I saw people like, imagine

(09:48):
you're scrolling and you see that you have a small penis.

Speaker 1 (09:51):
From your ex.

Speaker 3 (09:52):
But anyway, Aside from that, another thing that she talked
about was unreasonable relationship annoying, which means things that your
significant other does that really just like annoy you, right,
all right, listen to this.

Speaker 1 (10:07):
Reasonable relationship annoyances.

Speaker 3 (10:09):
My dad actually leaves the scrubber in the sink and
I have a thing that you put it into a
drives that I hate when he leaves it laying in
the sink. My producer Dan, he was like, oh my god,
I wonder what my wife Rita would say about me.
So she doesn't like the fact that he doesn't immediately
look when she says look, I second that, Oh this
one's good. Okay, says me too. Whenever I say I'm

(10:32):
tired or don't feel good.

Speaker 1 (10:34):
Like let her have her moment.

Speaker 3 (10:35):
I'm tired, I don't feel good. I'm sorry. Can I
get you anything for me too? That's that is annoying.

Speaker 1 (10:41):
What about you? What's your unreasonable relationship annoyances?

Speaker 10 (10:44):
Mine is leaving the toothbrush out on the counter. I
don't know, like that freaks me out. I put it
in a drawer. I have a little toothbrush cover because
you know, there's little particles in the air that freak
me out.

Speaker 3 (10:58):
See, I'm against that because I feel like you gotta
let it drive completely and sometimes with that cover, like
imagine the bacteria that can grow on something that's and
then you put it away.

Speaker 10 (11:07):
Well, you're supposed to clean your truthbrush.

Speaker 1 (11:10):
Every week, Well I clean it every time I use it,
like hydro what is it called?

Speaker 10 (11:14):
Hydrogen peroxide? The whole thing fifteen minutes, hot water, boiling water.

Speaker 3 (11:19):
So what I want to hear from you, guys, you're
a reasonable relationship annoyances. Another one for me is when
I say I want to do something and my man
is on the couch and he doesn't get it right
away to do it, like I'll be like, oh, let's
put this together, and he'll just sit there all right later. Yeah,
So then I just start doing it on my own,
and then I feel like he purposely doesn't get up

(11:39):
because he doesn't want to get saying like, oh, when
you say do this, do it, that's annoying.

Speaker 1 (11:43):
What's the problem?

Speaker 7 (11:44):
Ooh?

Speaker 10 (11:44):
You know what Another one is for me is when
they leave the lights on. Oh, like, why why are
you running up the electricity?

Speaker 8 (11:49):
For? What?

Speaker 3 (11:49):
Save the environment? That part eight hundred two ninety two
fifty one fifty. We want to hear your your a's
and reasonable relationship annoyances eight hundred two ninety two fifty
one fifty call a step Dan's wife and Obrah Homeless
eight hundred nine fifty of thems to.

Speaker 2 (12:06):
Train this women in radioiopen. We're talking about angela Ye.
You're way up with angela Ye. Please believe that.

Speaker 1 (12:12):
Yeah, it's way by Angela yea. It's me and Jerty
Door and we've been.

Speaker 3 (12:16):
Talking about these unregionable and reasonable relationship annoyances because of
Jackie Fabulous I Live service. Yes, and there's so many,
but I just want to say those little things. It's
cute when you really care about somebody, the little cute annoyances. Quirks,
Yeah it's not, it's just quirks. Yeah, we all have them.
And we're going to get you a tooth burst cleaner.

(12:37):
But Prince Winter, you're you are as.

Speaker 12 (12:39):
My wife be like close things after herself. Like she'll
open a cabinet and leave it open.

Speaker 1 (12:46):
Oh that drives me. I hate that open in the room.

Speaker 3 (12:52):
Why don't you close forgot? Yeah, okay, we're with you.

Speaker 13 (12:56):
Like she'll take the butter out and like leave it out.
She just doesn't put things back, like I will be
so annoying.

Speaker 1 (13:01):
I'll be like, oh and then it goes bad or.

Speaker 2 (13:04):
Right now, I'll put it away.

Speaker 13 (13:06):
But she just doesn't, Like she just needs a lot
of stuff out.

Speaker 1 (13:09):
What happens if you don't put it away, it just
will stay there.

Speaker 11 (13:12):
I gotta throw it away, like because I'll notice it the.

Speaker 4 (13:14):
Next day and it'll be out elted and stuff like that.

Speaker 2 (13:17):
I'm not gonna lie.

Speaker 1 (13:18):
My man does that.

Speaker 3 (13:18):
He lays stuff out, like we'll get some takeout food,
Like say we go somewhere and get a doggy bag
because we didn't finish and then they'll like forget to
put it in the fridge.

Speaker 10 (13:26):
That's a common missa.

Speaker 13 (13:27):
That's her, that is her?

Speaker 3 (13:29):
Okay, all right, well, thank you for calling and Sherry, and.

Speaker 1 (13:32):
Thank you for cleaning up after her.

Speaker 3 (13:33):
Yes, Kirsten, what are your unreasonable relationship annoyances?

Speaker 1 (13:39):
Me and Jodie Jr?

Speaker 3 (13:39):
When it out when my husband leaves his shoes in
the middle of the floor instead of putting them on
the rack where they go along, right.

Speaker 1 (13:46):
That's a good one because there's a space for it
on the rack. Why is it on the floor.

Speaker 4 (13:50):
Why are your shoes in the middle of the floor.
Get in my way?

Speaker 6 (13:52):
I even bought him nice to your shoe boxes to
put him in and he's still using.

Speaker 4 (13:56):
Right next to the box instead of putting them where
they're along.

Speaker 11 (13:58):
Gets for my nerves.

Speaker 4 (13:59):
So what happens? You up doing it?

Speaker 6 (14:01):
Of port you don't do it, but definitely am not
going to do it.

Speaker 3 (14:07):
I would take a picture of it every time he
does it and send it to him and be like,
can you.

Speaker 1 (14:10):
Put these away? Thanks?

Speaker 5 (14:15):
All right?

Speaker 1 (14:15):
Thank you for calling.

Speaker 4 (14:18):
Javine, Hey, how's it going.

Speaker 3 (14:21):
I'm what I said of your unreasonable relationship annoyances?

Speaker 12 (14:25):
Man, my wife I'm in charge of the laundry, right,
And every time she picked off her clothes and throws
them in the dirty.

Speaker 13 (14:31):
Clothes she takes them off like she's a child.

Speaker 14 (14:34):
Everything's inside out, throw.

Speaker 8 (14:37):
It up in a ball, you know, underwear alling man.

Speaker 12 (14:46):
I thought, I'm just gonna start watching it as it is,
and if it comes out looking.

Speaker 3 (14:50):
All weird on her, that's so funny because you know,
you in charge. So she's like doing all I'm.

Speaker 12 (14:57):
Picking out lin thing.

Speaker 1 (15:01):
I'm guilty. I forget gloss in my pocket.

Speaker 4 (15:04):
Sometimes I can't even.

Speaker 3 (15:05):
Lie lip gloss and lipstick. It'll get all over everything.

Speaker 12 (15:09):
That's my annoying relationship that be right there.

Speaker 1 (15:13):
I would love to hear what she has to know.

Speaker 2 (15:15):
So she told me this.

Speaker 12 (15:18):
So when I get up in the middle of the
night to use the bathroom, I don't close the toilet.
I'll put the toilet.

Speaker 2 (15:24):
Seat back down.

Speaker 12 (15:24):
And there's been a couple of times where she's gotten
in the middle of the night.

Speaker 1 (15:28):
Yeah, it felt it was a.

Speaker 12 (15:29):
Way around the bathroom. So she don't turn the light
on and she goes to sit down and she's.

Speaker 6 (15:33):
Like fall in the toilet.

Speaker 3 (15:34):
It sounds like, you guys need a smart toilet. Yeah,
because it'll go up automatically and close automatically.

Speaker 1 (15:41):
You're right, Christmas.

Speaker 10 (15:43):
Present, I could save your marriage.

Speaker 1 (15:44):
I'm fine.

Speaker 3 (15:47):
That's a good minds day gift. I'm telling you that's
a thoughtful all right, thank.

Speaker 1 (15:52):
You for calling.

Speaker 2 (15:54):
Yeah, have a going well. Well.

Speaker 3 (15:55):
You talked about our unreasonable relationship annoyances. If you want
to hear more about Jackiebus, you can check her out
on lip service that's available now. I want to say
the phone lines blew up. And I also want to
say that when you love somebody, there are always all
these little things that annoy you.

Speaker 4 (16:12):
Absolutely and I feel like a little thing.

Speaker 3 (16:13):
Reasonable, Yeah, perfectly reasonable. But when we come back, we
have your yet. And yesterday we told you about who
Shissy's house getting rated. Well, we do have more information
right now. Will tell you about that when we come back.
It's way up this.

Speaker 5 (16:29):
From industry shade to all the gossip out Angela's speeling that.

Speaker 1 (16:34):
Yeez, all right, it's way up with Angela.

Speaker 7 (16:37):
Yee.

Speaker 3 (16:38):
I'm here, Jordy Doors here. There's so much going on
online right now.

Speaker 1 (16:43):
I got to keep up all right.

Speaker 3 (16:44):
Well, Recently, on Talk with Flea, Cameron revealed that jay
Z distemont Otis after Cameron says something slick about Kanye West.
He was defending Kanye. Jay Z was defending Kanye. Here's
what Cameron had to say.

Speaker 11 (16:57):
We have said some slick about Kanye. I just distribution
through a Silent Records. And then Kanye did the song
with jay Z when they that first single for the
album together. That's hofbably came out of like two months
or a month or two whatever after we said something
about Kanye.

Speaker 3 (17:12):
All right, So if you don't know what he's referring
to in otis, this is the part he said where
jay Z distum.

Speaker 2 (17:20):
Yeezy the wrong way. I might Marty refugee Salm County.

Speaker 3 (17:29):
Okay, Yeah, I guess when something's about you, you know, right,
But why is it even coming up now? I guess
because it's all in the past. So you know, everybody's
bringing up old stories now too. By the way, true
now recently on Let's Rap About It and yes, mana
it's still part of Let's Rap About It because I say,
people think that that.

Speaker 1 (17:48):
April Fools tried to ask you was real.

Speaker 3 (17:51):
But he is still on the show and they had
a conversation about OnlyFans, and this is an ongoing topic.
Are they considered sex workers? Are they content creators? Here's
what they said.

Speaker 1 (18:05):
A sex worker does sex work, it's the same, just
because she's doing Only Fans.

Speaker 2 (18:10):
This girl could be in college.

Speaker 1 (18:11):
She tried on what they're trying to say.

Speaker 2 (18:13):
Who has before?

Speaker 8 (18:14):
We had to go to different places, sketchy places to
actually feel it.

Speaker 2 (18:17):
They ain't want to rude sexual content.

Speaker 1 (18:19):
Now they can just feel it in the comfort of
their own home. So did that make it safe? Okay?

Speaker 8 (18:23):
So you know what they make their money with, all right,
hotel rooms in their house. They got their cameras set up. Yeah,
I guess it's safer, but I think some of them
still travel and do what they call collabs.

Speaker 1 (18:36):
Collabs.

Speaker 4 (18:37):
It was the partnerships for me.

Speaker 1 (18:38):
Yeah, the collaborations.

Speaker 3 (18:41):
You know, OnlyFans does not equal sex work because everybody
on OnlyFans is not doing explicit work, yep, And everybody's
not meeting up with people to do things loud. There
are sex workers on OnlyFans and then there are people
who are not.

Speaker 1 (18:57):
So I just think you can't broadly paint that show.

Speaker 3 (19:00):
Everybody's grown and can make their own decisions, right Because
if you got to subscribe, you gotta have some type
of at your free will, at your free will, all right,
pooh Shisty's bother has been arrested, and we're not sure.
This is still a developing story. But yesterday we were
telling you in Memphis his house got raided. There was
all this activity. They have video of what went down,

(19:21):
and so we'll keep you updated on what's happening and why.

Speaker 1 (19:25):
And speaking of which, they just.

Speaker 3 (19:27):
Released the video of the police cam video of Tiger
woods Yep and his dui.

Speaker 1 (19:34):
So that's all I have to say.

Speaker 10 (19:38):
You were talking about it in my family group chat
about Tiger and he doesn't need to be behind any
sort of wheel, not even a golf cart.

Speaker 3 (19:43):
But what I do know is that his woman is
standing by his side. She is like, that is my man,
my man, my man, no issues. I'm not going anywhere.
So we've all been in that situation. No matter what
amand does well not, no matter what. There's certain things
that you found. There are definitely some boundaries. All right, Well,
that is your Yet when we come back, we have

(20:04):
under the radar. These are the stories that are not
necessarily in the headlines. They're flying under the radar, but
you definitely need to know about them. Donald, I don't
even want to say it. Do I even want to
do that. Donald Trump is talking about why there is
no money for daycare. And this is all interesting as
mom Donnie has opened up the first daycare center here,

(20:26):
childcare for people. That is one of the campaign promises
that he made. But Donald Trump says that nationally, we're
not able to do that. And we'll tell you why.

Speaker 2 (20:33):
It's way up this in the news that relates to you.
These stories are flying.

Speaker 3 (20:38):
Under the radar, all right, way you put it into
Lagee and Jordi doors here, this is a Trump under
the radar, right, but we kind of have to know
what's going on, I know, right, all right. Well, Donald
Trump was at an Eastern lunch reception at the White House,
and this was yesterday, and he told guests what the
priority should be for the United States, and one of

(20:58):
the things that he talked about was why they cannot
take care of daycare from the federal government.

Speaker 1 (21:05):
Here's what he said, we can't take care of daycare.
We're a big country.

Speaker 15 (21:08):
We have fifty states, we have all these other people,
we're fighting wars.

Speaker 4 (21:12):
We can't take care of daycare.

Speaker 1 (21:14):
You gotta let us state take care of daycare, and
they should.

Speaker 4 (21:17):
Pay for it too.

Speaker 3 (21:18):
It's interesting because just a couple of days ago, Mom
Donnie and the Department of Citywide Administrative Services Commissioner announced
that New York City is going to have their first
free on site childcare pilot program that opens for applications
on April thirtieth. So their first one, approximately forty children
ages six weeks to three years, will get free year
round childcare eight am to six pm Monday through Friday,

(21:40):
how they should, which is a beautiful thing. Now, another
thing that Donald Trump talked about at that lunch was
giving advice to Erica Kirk because Erica Kirk is basically
begging him to do something about this whole drew Ski skitch.

Speaker 1 (21:53):
She's so upset about it.

Speaker 15 (21:54):
I can't we have I think you should see them,
but I show you you sue somebody. They're so jealous
of Erica. I can say, you're not allowed to say that.

Speaker 11 (22:05):
You have to be nicer.

Speaker 2 (22:06):
Sue their ass off.

Speaker 1 (22:08):
Good luck, sir, we have bigger fish to fry.

Speaker 3 (22:10):
Parody is protected and guess what her doing that is
only going to drag it out even more. Let's watch
it again, Let's do another one. Let's do a sketch
about her wanting to sue. Let's do all of those things.

Speaker 7 (22:22):
Now.

Speaker 3 (22:22):
Another thing that Donald Trump is talking about is this
war with Iran. And I do want to say that
after he made these statements, oil prices surged and the
repercussion stocks fell as well.

Speaker 1 (22:35):
And here is what he had to say about the
war with Iran.

Speaker 7 (22:38):
We are on track to complete all of America's military
objectives shortly, very shortly. We're going to hit them extremely
hard over the next two to three weeks. We're going
to bring them back to the Stone ages where they belong.

Speaker 4 (22:53):
What that's crazy?

Speaker 1 (22:54):
Is he talking about? It's crazy now.

Speaker 3 (22:57):
Iran's military in response, has said the US Israel face
lasting regret and ultimate surrender. And they are dismissing Donald
Trump's claims that they have been weakened by more than
a month of war.

Speaker 1 (23:08):
They have not, according to them.

Speaker 4 (23:12):
That's a lot.

Speaker 3 (23:13):
We are definitely in turmoil now. Donald Trump did make
several false and misleading claims. He also said that Iran
was close to having a missile that could strike the
US through an intelligent report. They said Iran would not
have that capability until twenty thirty five, so that is
not true. He also said the US has so much
gas thanks to the promise to increase US oil production

(23:36):
and their cooperation with Venezuela. Just a lot of things.
Of course, you know, you gotta take it all with
the grain grain of oil or oil. All right, We
do have the way it mixed with you at the
top of the hour. Plus, my girl, Debora Rabbits.

Speaker 1 (23:51):
Is going to be joining us.

Speaker 3 (23:52):
She is the co anchor for twenty twenty and she
is a senior national affairs correspondent for ABC News. He's
got a new special that's coming on on Friday, and
you know, I love twenty twenty. She's been investigating these
cases for forever now, and I love that about her.
She's a real journalist. We'll tell you what she's working
on that's going to be coming on this Friday.

Speaker 1 (24:12):
It's way up.

Speaker 2 (24:14):
Oh, Angela's feeling that.

Speaker 3 (24:15):
Yeezee, Come and get to see what's up his way up,
But Angela, yee.

Speaker 1 (24:19):
It's me and Jordi doorm and you know what kit
Cutting is.

Speaker 3 (24:22):
Podcast launched yesterday and Kylie Jenner was his first guest. Interesting, interesting,
And he actually addressed the ditty chial and explaining.

Speaker 1 (24:31):
To his daughter how old is his daughter? Sixteen?

Speaker 3 (24:34):
Which I didn't even realize everything that was going on
because he knew that either she knew about it already
or was gonna at some point.

Speaker 1 (24:41):
You want to know TikTok something. Yes, And here's what
they had to say about.

Speaker 16 (24:44):
It during that moment, Like, I know my daughter saw
some moment and it's like I can't protect her from that.

Speaker 4 (24:51):
Did you talk to her about it?

Speaker 2 (24:53):
I think we had a conversation about it.

Speaker 3 (24:54):
I feel like it's just about creating a safe space
to like if she does something to come to you
and ask I.

Speaker 16 (25:02):
Definitely should should have that conversation because she is the
type where she will see something and then not say
anything to me and.

Speaker 3 (25:09):
Shout out to my guy Ice wear a Bezo from
the d He has his own podcast now.

Speaker 1 (25:13):
I love it like a studio, like it's set up.

Speaker 3 (25:16):
Yeah, and Big Meach gave his first post release interview
to Vezo.

Speaker 1 (25:21):
It only makes sense, yep. And there's some history there.
Did you know that he was the first.

Speaker 3 (25:27):
One to make it raing with ones and fives in
the Strip Club and there's a reason for it.

Speaker 1 (25:31):
Here is the history of making it.

Speaker 2 (25:33):
Ring the ones at fives was garbage.

Speaker 9 (25:35):
You gotta remember back in the day when we first
started around with the Columbians, they won't take no ones
in five. So when you're getting a hundred bricks out
of time, you got to keep all the ones at
five over stole. Not gonna say they're gonna take them
only so many times. Right then we try and walk
around one hundreds and fifty so we don't look like
drug dealers.

Speaker 1 (25:54):
Listen, thank god, nobody was paying the pennies.

Speaker 7 (25:57):
Now.

Speaker 3 (25:57):
In addition to that, niche talked about being called and
labeled a snitch and how he responds to allegations like that.

Speaker 1 (26:04):
Here's what he said.

Speaker 9 (26:05):
They always say you can't argue with yourself, so sometimes
you gotta let him up, just talk. If you don't
got nothing to hide, then what you got to speak
up for. I don't got nothing to high. I don't
got no points or food. You know what I'm saying.
If I done anything wrong, if any man does anything wrong,
when it comes to being a rap, you got paperwork.

Speaker 1 (26:25):
I get it that. When you know the truth, it's
like okay.

Speaker 3 (26:28):
But I also know it's annoying, Yeah, when people are
saying things about you and you want to defend yourself
and say whatever. But I am glad that he did
his first sit down with Vezzo. I think it makes
you know. Complete sentence sucks, all right, and shout out
to j Cole. According to reports, now yesterday, when I
saw this, I thought it was an April Fools prank.
But he has officially inked a deal to play professional
basketball in China, and that is according to Sham's from ESPN.

(26:53):
He's going to be joining the Nanjing Monkey Kings. Never
heard of them, Well, why would you? But clearly he
just loves basketball.

Speaker 1 (27:02):
They said.

Speaker 3 (27:03):
Ja Cole had previously planned to suit up for a
short stent last year before moving forward with an official contract.
And it is China's top men's professional basketball league and
also includes twenty teams by the way, So congrats, yeah,
congrats to him for signing up with the Chinese Basketball Association.

Speaker 1 (27:21):
He is so random.

Speaker 4 (27:23):
No, he's so random.

Speaker 10 (27:24):
But I do remember seeing him in training trying to
do some pro stuff, so I'm great.

Speaker 3 (27:28):
Didn't he before? He also didn't he played ball? Yeah,
he did play professionally.

Speaker 1 (27:31):
For a hut second.

Speaker 3 (27:33):
All right, well that is your yee t And when
we come back, we have asked yee eight hundred two
nine two fifty one fifty any question you have. Me
and Jordy do are here to help you out.

Speaker 1 (27:41):
It's way up with.

Speaker 5 (27:42):
Its relationship for career advice. Angela's dropping facts.

Speaker 3 (27:46):
You should know this is ASD what's up? Its way
up with Angela. Yee, it's me and my girl Jordi tours.
We have an ask ye question and he left a
voicemail about pursuing his passion, stay at a job that
I don't like or should I quit?

Speaker 2 (28:00):
Okay?

Speaker 14 (28:00):
So I'm a musician and I'm a creative and I
like to do creative things, and I like to be myself,
and I work at a job that really doesn't hire
me to be who I am. So I'm just like
card with Queen. Should I quit my job without any
like things to fall back on, or should I stay
here where it's stable, or should I take what I
love and do what I want to do?

Speaker 16 (28:23):
Well.

Speaker 3 (28:23):
I never think it's a good idea to quit something
without a plan agreed, especially in this economy. Yeah, so,
because it's going to make it so much more stressful
when you're trying to pursue your passion if you don't
know how you're going to pay your bills exactly. So,
I think you have to have a plan, and that
plan means saving up enough money to make sure that
you can handle all of that in events, right.

Speaker 10 (28:43):
And setting some time aside every day to do what
you want to do and build that up until it's
ready for you to leave.

Speaker 3 (28:48):
Your job, right or look for something else in the
meantime that actually pertains to what you're doing, so that
you can leave your job and get into a different space,
and also just sit down and plan, like, what are
the things that I need to accomplish to make this happen,
and then pursue that because you can't just go into
work every day hating it.

Speaker 1 (29:05):
I think that you'll hate it less when you know
you have a plan exactly, an escape plan.

Speaker 4 (29:10):
Yeah.

Speaker 3 (29:10):
So give yourself a time limit, give yourself a money
goal that you have to hit in order to feel
comfortable enough to do it, and also make sure that
you're planning how you're gonna get out and what you're
doing after exactly. Yeah, and then you can go to
work knowing this ain't gonna happen much longer, so I
could deal with this for now, all right, Well that
was ask ye eight hundred and two ninety two fifty
one fifty. In case you couldn't get through, you could

(29:32):
leave a message and ask a question like that like
you just did. And when we come back, Deborah Roberts
is going to be joining us. She is the co
anchor of twenty twenty. She's an amazing journalist and she
does have a special airing on Friday for twenty twenty,
the case of Ajika Owens.

Speaker 1 (29:46):
You know, she is the black woman.

Speaker 3 (29:48):
Who was shot and killed through the door by her neighbor,
her white neighbor, Susan Lawrence. And we're gonna have some
more information the Perfect Neighbor. That documentary was based on
this whole situation with police cam footage, but they dive
even deeper into what happened.

Speaker 2 (30:04):
It's way up, hey, name, way up with Angela.

Speaker 9 (30:08):
Turn me on.

Speaker 1 (30:10):
I'm fired up. Debora Roberts is here. It's way up
with Angela.

Speaker 7 (30:13):
Ye.

Speaker 1 (30:13):
You know how much I love you.

Speaker 4 (30:14):
I love being on your show anytime. Thank you for
having me.

Speaker 3 (30:18):
So Tomorrow's twenty twenty episode is called the neighbor from Hell.
And this is also we know the Perfect Neighbor. That
was a documentary that was un Oscar nominated. When I
say that, I was in tears blacking that. And if
you haven't seen a perfect neighbor, this breaks it down
even further.

Speaker 2 (30:33):
Now.

Speaker 17 (30:34):
It's the same story of course of Ajaka owens down
in o'kalla, Florida, and many people had heard the story
about this woman, a neighbor who marches up to her
neighbour's home with her two children because she's complaining the
woman had tossed something. According to one of her kids,
had tossed something at one of the kids. There had
been a brewing dispute for a long time, and she

(30:54):
wants to confront her and instead she's hit with a bullet.
For this Friday, we take you inside the story to
learn not only who Adjica is by hearing from her mother,
but hearing from one of her children, hearing from the
neighbors who were there, who saw this building and building
and building, but who also feel like it could have
been them.

Speaker 3 (31:12):
This woman's susan Lawrence, moves in across the street. The
neighborhood seems like a beautiful place. The kids are outside playing,
everybody knows each other, everyone's getting along, and then this
woman is upset because the kids are too noisy.

Speaker 1 (31:26):
She's even calling them slaves.

Speaker 4 (31:28):
She began to use racial slurs.

Speaker 17 (31:30):
According to the children, she would say all kinds of
things just to harass them, punish them for being in
her area. And they were in a common area, a
field sort of. You know, they were re arranged children.

Speaker 3 (31:42):
Right now, I'm talking to Deborah Roberts, the co anchor
of twenty twenty and the host of the twenty twenty
After Show podcast. So super quot nine one one all
the time, and I have to imagine that the police
were like, here she is again, but they have to
come out.

Speaker 17 (31:55):
So these kids had grown accustomed to it, and it
had been a back and forth for a while. And
then one of Ajica's kids complained to her one day
that the neighbor because they were skates and had they
skated around the neighborhood.

Speaker 4 (32:07):
They did all kinds of things.

Speaker 17 (32:08):
The neighbor grabbed one of the skates or something like
that and threw it at one of the children, and
of course you can imagine their mother was not happy. Right,
So she comes over really with the head of steam.
She wants to confront her. She's thinking they're going to
have maybe an argument about this, and she wants up
getting shot through the door with her children standing there
next to her.

Speaker 1 (32:27):
Oh my gosh, I can't even now. That's the part
where I had to stop for a moment.

Speaker 3 (32:30):
Her son, Like you said, Izzie, you interviewed him and
had a chance to speak with him, and he was amazing, amazing.

Speaker 17 (32:37):
I mean, there was not a dry eye in the room,
Angela when we talked with him. He is now twelve,
he's been living with this pain of having lost his
mom for about three years now. For him to say
to me that he is making the best of a
situation and he's very fortunate. And I said fortunate, how
because the woman who raised my mom is now raising me. Yeah,

(32:58):
his grandma, I mean, oh my good. His grandmother is
off to the side weeping, and I'm holding back tears
as I'm speaking with him. A very self possessed young
man who now sadly has found a voice in this
darkness in his world and has been really really fascinating
to see how he's been able to process this in
a way that hopefully will maybe hold him in good stead,

(33:20):
and he wants to become a civil rights activist. He
wants to become a spokesperson to help other people find
justice and resilience and to put their lives back together.

Speaker 4 (33:31):
And he's only twelve.

Speaker 1 (33:32):
Crazy.

Speaker 3 (33:33):
Had you guys beached out to try to speak to
Susan Lawrence, the women who killed us?

Speaker 17 (33:37):
We tried, We tried. Now we do include an interview
with her in this piece that she did with the
local station. She wanted to speak with us. The prison
declined to have the interview take place for various reasons.
But what we have learned just through the correspondence with
her is that she does not take responsibility for what
has happened. She continues to say she felt threatened, she

(33:58):
felt her life was in danger, has tried, She blames
and she blames other people for causing this situation.

Speaker 3 (34:05):
All right, Deborah Roberts is here, and the twenty twenty
episode of the Case of Ajika Owen and Susan Lorenz
is coming out on Friday. You also may have seen
the OSCAR nominated documentary The Perfect Neighbor. That's all about
this situation. We have more details when we come back
it's way up.

Speaker 2 (34:21):
Yeah, what's hey, way up with Angela Ye?

Speaker 3 (34:25):
Turn me on What's Up's way up with Angela Yee.
Deva Roberts is here. She's the co anchor of twenty
twenty and there's a really special episode airing on Friday,
the Case of Ajaka Owens and Susan Lorenz. You may
have seen some of this story on the documentary The
Perfect Neighbor. I like the balance that you have because
you work so hard, but you take care of yourself.
You make sure you take time to do that, but

(34:46):
then you also make sure you take time to handle
family responsibility.

Speaker 10 (34:50):
Well.

Speaker 1 (34:50):
I try, and for a lot of people, that's not
an easy thing to manage.

Speaker 17 (34:53):
It isn't it really isn't it, especially if you are
in a career that is hard driving your driven person.

Speaker 4 (34:59):
It is very hard.

Speaker 17 (35:00):
But at the end of the day, to me, that
is the most important thing. And remember Barbara Bush said,
nobody ever you know, on their deathbed says I wish
I spent more time at the office.

Speaker 4 (35:10):
And I try to remember that.

Speaker 17 (35:11):
I'm never gonna regret that I didn't do more work,
but I might regret not spending time with my family.

Speaker 4 (35:17):
So I try to be there.

Speaker 3 (35:18):
Oh you know what else I wanted to ask you
about just everything that's been going on with like okay,
see like Chili, Nick Cannon, right, I want to get
your thoughts on people's political beliefs. Who are entertainers affecting
people supporting them, or opportunities.

Speaker 17 (35:33):
It is a little bit complicated because I saw that
I've been following Chili's case, and you know, the question becomes,
if you know, you decide that you like something that
somebody from a party that might be a little bit controversial,
or the Maga folks or somebody else, and other folks
who support you wouldn't have thought that you might affiliate

(35:53):
with that group. Are you being a little bit reckless
by doing it? You know, people should be able to
support or like or be curious about anybody.

Speaker 4 (36:04):
Else that they might want to be.

Speaker 17 (36:05):
But these days, I have to tell you, Angela, even
for myself, I'm very careful when I'm looking in social
media about if I decide to like something somebody said,
or I have to be careful about the fact that
some people see that as my political affiliation.

Speaker 4 (36:19):
I don't think that that means people should be afraid
of that.

Speaker 17 (36:23):
I happen to be a journalist, and I'm trying to
be mindful of the idea that I want people to
think that I'm a little more middle of the road.
And we all have opinions, but I think you got
to think twice before you post, and before you.

Speaker 1 (36:35):
I mean, you can't post whatever you want, but have
people react to that, yes, And if you.

Speaker 17 (36:40):
Think people may have a reaction, you might want to
think about that. And many people just post blindly. They're
very complicated times. Oh my good, complicated times.

Speaker 1 (36:49):
I never could have anticipated this world.

Speaker 4 (36:51):
I know that really is like George orwell, isn't it.

Speaker 1 (36:54):
Yeah, I'm curious to see what's going to happen a
couple of years from now.

Speaker 17 (36:58):
Well, I would like to think there is a movement
to try to go a little bit more analog, but
I think this has already left the bar and the
horses loft the barn, and how are we gonna reel
it all back?

Speaker 4 (37:07):
Kind of scary.

Speaker 1 (37:08):
Well, listen, I appreciate you for coming here. The neighbor
from Hell.

Speaker 3 (37:11):
Friday Nights, make sure you check out twenty twenty and
again we got to send some love to Izzy, who
did such an amazing job, being able to go on
there and express himself the way that he did. I
was just like he is going to be an amazing activist.
He is, and his grandmother too, and his grandmother as well.
She's a shining light in this whole story, Pamela. To
see her take over her children and to give them

(37:34):
a life that she thinks her daughter would have wanted
them to have. So that is like at least the
one little beacon at the end of the stry and
to see the positivity of how Ajaco is remembered by everybody,
her family but also the people in the community. So
that's amazing as well. So just thank you for coming
through alway for highlighting this really important story.

Speaker 4 (37:52):
Always a pleasure when we come back.

Speaker 1 (37:53):
This is your show. So you have the last word about.

Speaker 2 (37:56):
The full Tapian to get your voice heard. What the
word is is the last word on Way Up with
Angela Yee?

Speaker 3 (38:04):
What's up as Way Up with Angela ye is me
and Jorty jo Hey, Jordy, I had a fun time.

Speaker 4 (38:09):
With you today. Always a time.

Speaker 1 (38:10):
We always have a time.

Speaker 3 (38:11):
Peppercorns sisters always and we know that we got to
get you that toothburst cleaner. Yep, that's gonna be your gift. Okay,
but thank you again to Debora Roberts for joining us
as well. Make sure you watch twenty twenty tomorrow night
if you watch The Perfect Neighbor and want to learn
more about that story. I think it's really important that
we support real journalistic news programs like twenty twenty. Also,

(38:34):
a lot of you called in about your you are
A's unreasonable relationship, annoyance, annoyances.

Speaker 4 (38:41):
You are ace.

Speaker 3 (38:42):
It sounds like a disease, it does, and it is,
and a lot of people are called into weigh on
our theirs and like we said, this is your show.

Speaker 13 (38:48):
So you have the last word, Jermy from Suffolk our
unreasonable relationship or annoying book when ma fiance means the
toothbrush out without covering it, when she got the es
on in our baths room, our front's baffal as in
the chest role when she doesn't close drawers.

Speaker 12 (39:09):
My name is Ladysia and I am from Atlanta. I'm
Rick joining and she says the two first thing that's
me as well. I also hate when he passed as queen,
things like he might contribute queen in the kitchen, but
yet you know he doesn't risk off the dishes before
throwing them in the dishwasher. And now we ran dishes

(39:29):
in vain because they're still dirty, or leaving the toilet
seed up.

Speaker 5 (39:36):
I'm about the triber you tapped in and way up
with Angela ye wanting now have

Kingdom of Fraud

Kingdom of Fraud

It’s the unlikeliest of criminal partnerships: a devout polygamist from an insular Utah sect joining forces with a shadowy Armenian tycoon from LA. The result - a billion dollar fraud conspiracy. In Kingdom of Fraud, investigative reporter Michele McPhee traces the origins of the extraordinary alliance between Jacob Kingston and Levon Termendzhyan. Together, the two men trigger the largest tax investigation in American history and weave around themselves a web of dirty cops, influential political relationships and transnational money laundering. All this is set against the backdrop of Jacob Kingston’s clan – The Order. A powerful and secretive polygamist organization in Salt Lake City. To whom Jacob is desperate to prove his worth.
