you can put them on this list.

Speaker 4 (00:53):
Okay, So you have to have good bedside manner.

Speaker 2 (00:55):
Yeah, that means that you had a great experience with
the healthcare professional, because we know how hard it is
when you're trying to find a doctor and you're like,
do you have a good this person? Do you have
a good guynecologist? Do you have a good and so
this list can help you with that. So we'll talk
to her about her experience and clinicians who care. All right,
But in the meantime, let's shine a light. Eight hundred
two nine two fifty one fifty is a number.

who are doing greatness, a.

Speaker 1 (01:33):

Speaker 2 (01:57):
She put out a joint statement and she was super
low key, like people don't even know this was happening.
Ricky Jackson Junior, And in a joint statement they said,
we are incredibly grateful for all the love, prayers and
well which is we've received during this special moment in
our lives.

Speaker 3 (02:11):
Now, who is this man?

Speaker 2 (02:13):
Well, according to his LinkedIn page, because you know, people
did the research, he's a program manager for Project Place
Southeast Michigan. They provide use in the region with access
to safe play and quality sports programs.

Speaker 4 (02:24):
I love that. Yes, it's a great year for her.

Speaker 2 (02:27):
Oh listen, she about to have an amazing, amazing time
and she's gonna be stressed out to being mador but
you know she knows it comes with the territory. She's
already been in politics doing her thing for a while.
So there's a picture of them on the Cookup Show podcast.
He's a community leader and brother of w NBA star
Rakia Jackson too.

Speaker 4 (02:46):
By the way, it's so great because they're both for
the community, so it tracks.

Speaker 2 (02:51):
Yeah, yeah, I'm sure that's gonna boost everything they have
going on for the community. All right, So shout out
to you, Mary Sheffield, congratulations on an amazing twenty five already. Now, Jordan,
who do you want to shine a light on?

Speaker 6 (03:04):
I want to sign a light Oh my daddy.

Speaker 3 (03:06):
Okay, how old are you? Jordan? Tell us about your daddy.

Speaker 6 (03:11):
My dad is nice sometimes she's mean, she's cool, and
he's funny.

Speaker 3 (03:18):
That's what's it. What's your dad's name? I was like,
nobody's name. You know where you messed up because you
said sometimes he's mean.

Speaker 6 (03:29):
Wait, I'm on the air. Yep, can you tell new
man now?

Speaker 2 (03:33):
I said, hi, absolutely, and shine a light on your
your dad who is going to remain anonymous.

Speaker 3 (03:40):
Thank you for calling, Joy, I have a good day.
You're going to school?

Speaker 7 (03:44):
Yeah?

Speaker 3 (03:44):
Okay, all right, thank you?

Speaker 8 (03:46):
Bye bye.

Speaker 2 (03:48):
That was Shina Light eight hundred and two ninety two
fifty one fifty just in case you couldn't get through,
and we got your eut when we come back. And
since the Jasmine brand is here, let's get right into
the juicy gossip and talk more about this Diddy documentary.
How did that Netflix footage get purchased? Also, what is
the fallout from the reckoning? A lot of people have

(04:09):
things to say. We'll fill you in its way up.

Speaker 5 (04:12):
It's in the rooms from industry shade to all of
us and out.

Speaker 1 (04:17):
Angelus is feeling that.

Speaker 3 (04:20):
All right, his way up with Angela. Yeah, I'm here
with that jazz membran, just bin on my own brand.

Speaker 2 (04:26):
And let's get into this so this Diddy documentary, I'm unauthorized, clearly, yes,
the reckoning that fifty cent is an executive producer on
There's a lot of people speaking out about things that
they're saying are not true.

Speaker 9 (04:41):
Now.

Speaker 2 (04:41):
One of them is Kirk Burrow's allegations that Well claims
that he first hand saw did he slap his own mother.

Speaker 3 (04:50):
Janis coms here's what he said.

Speaker 10 (04:52):
He was holed up in a hotel on the east side,
him and his mother. He didn't know what was going
to happen, and I saw and this question Sean. Then
I saw him put his hands on her, call her
and slapped her.

Speaker 4 (05:07):
Oh my god.

Speaker 2 (05:08):
Well, according to reports, Janis Colmbs has addressed this.

Speaker 3 (05:12):
She said, I'm portrayed as an abusive parent. This is untrue.

Speaker 2 (05:16):
As I have stated previously, I was a single mother
raising my son. I held three and even four jobs
in an attempt to provide a comfortable upbringing and quality
education for my child. I ray Sean with love and
hard work, not abuse. The allegations that my son slapped
me while we were conversing after the tragic City College
events are inaccurate and patently false.

Speaker 3 (05:35):
That was a very sad day.

Speaker 4 (05:36):
For all of us. Okay, that was one of the
more shocking moments of I mean, it's a lot of
shocking moments of the documentary, but when I saw that,
I was like, oh my god.

Speaker 3 (05:43):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (05:43):
So Netflix, you know, they tried to do a season
desist Diddy's team to Netflix, but they clarified no one
was paid to be a part of the documentary, because
you know, you're not supposed to. And you know, what
they're saying is that did he hired people to film
but paid them.

Speaker 4 (06:00):
And sounds like it might be accurate based on what
other people in the documentary are saying about him not
allegedly paying people. Well, that'd be one group of people
you need to.

Speaker 2 (06:08):
Yeah, now you're like, dang, I should have paid all
right now another thing that came from and not necessarily
this documentary. But there's been some fallout. Misa Hilton, that's
Justin's mother, who's Ditty's ex. She declined an offer, she
said to a pair in the documentary, but she said
she's facing harassment because of claims that other people have

(06:28):
made about her in that series.

Speaker 3 (06:30):
You know, they dated back in the nineties.

Speaker 2 (06:32):
They had a son, Justin colmbs In nineteen ninety three,
she posted and deleted this. Anyone who knows me knows
I'm a private person, and it pains me that I
even have to post this. The harassment my son and
I have been dealing with because of things implied by
gen Deal and stated in a recent Netflix documentary has
been heartbreaking.

Speaker 3 (06:49):
Now here's what Gene Deale had to say.

Speaker 11 (06:51):
Okay, you had showed the internet that said that I
said that Wolf was Justin's farm.

Speaker 1 (06:58):
I never said that, Did I deny it? Did I
act like I didn't know?

Speaker 3 (07:03):
Yeah?

Speaker 12 (07:04):
You know why because anything that could hurt this I'm.

Speaker 3 (07:09):
Going to war with this, Okay, Gene Dale, that was
you know, the security. He's been doing a lot of
interviews for a.

Speaker 4 (07:15):
While, yeah, before this Netflix documentary for quite some time.

Speaker 3 (07:19):
So Wolf does.

Speaker 4 (07:20):
I'm not saying it. Wolf does look like him.

Speaker 2 (07:22):
I know because people when they do this side by side,
you know. But I'm Mario Popich A lot of times
that is incorrect.

Speaker 4 (07:27):
That isn'tcorrect.

Speaker 2 (07:28):
I just want to say this, but you know, she
did before she deleted this post, she did say this
will be a post and delete. She said, there are
casualties of war. This is she said why didn't this
go viral? This is exactly the type of harassment I'm
speaking on. So I guess people have been harassing her.

Speaker 9 (07:44):
Now.

Speaker 3 (07:45):
Jeendale has since responded and said this me, sir, how.

Speaker 1 (07:48):
Am I harassing you? I've never harassed you.

Speaker 5 (07:52):
I've never always been a protector you so far until now.

Speaker 3 (07:57):
Your ex is the reason why you be in her.

Speaker 12 (08:00):
Your ex is the reason why your son is the
way he is.

Speaker 3 (08:05):
He not right, you kind of right?

Speaker 4 (08:08):
We all talk about this because of your ex.

Speaker 2 (08:10):
All right, well that is your Yet when we come
back about last night we were in DC for your birthday,
we got to talk about all the things because on
the way back Keys, who came with me my makeup
artist and yours, was like I and did.

Speaker 3 (08:23):
This in a minute, and we'll tell you what this is.
It's way up.

Speaker 1 (08:29):
So about last night, yes, I went down.

Speaker 2 (08:35):
But angela ye, and it is time to go under
the radar with Jazzmine brand on my own brand. Now,
thanks to you, I spent some time in DC over
the weekend you did, and it was amazing. So first
we went to Marcus Samuelson's restaurant Marcus DC.

Speaker 4 (08:50):
Amazing food.

Speaker 3 (08:51):
Food was so good. I wish I had some right
now I'm thinking about it.

Speaker 4 (08:55):
I like the crabrits. You don't eat fish. I love
that's my favorite part.

Speaker 2 (08:58):
Yes, well you know I had the bird. You did
have the had but they had these sweet potatoes. Anyway,
just thinking about the food, it's gonna be excited. Then
after that we headed over to Manifest. When I tell you,
y'all got to hear about this concept of this space.

Speaker 3 (09:14):
First of us black owned.

Speaker 4 (09:16):
All the places we form a birthday were black owned
in DC.

Speaker 2 (09:18):
So Manifest is actually a barber shop, a bar, and
a restaurant and a Speak Easy all in one, amaze
and a store. It has a shopping experience too, and
they also have some type of membership aspect to it
as well. But when I tell you, it was so
beautiful in there, I've never seen anything like this.

Speaker 4 (09:39):
I've never seen a space like that. And also like
there's like different little obviously so Speak Easy so there's
like little secret doors and they really took care of us.

Speaker 3 (09:47):
Yeah, it's a hospitality space.

Speaker 2 (09:49):
So imagine you can get a haircut, have a drink,
go shopping and then hang out downstairs and the.

Speaker 3 (09:55):
Speak Easy with the DJ and it's black owned. Yeah.
So I just want to shout out all.

Speaker 2 (10:00):
I love going to like amazing businesses that I've never
been to before. I don't spend a ton of time
in dcah, but that was cool.

Speaker 3 (10:06):
Then we went to another place after.

Speaker 4 (10:08):
That, we did That's black on too, so Guya supper
Club We went their last.

Speaker 3 (10:13):
Yeah for houkah.

Speaker 2 (10:14):
Yes, And I just want to say I drove down
there with keys. She does my makeup, she does your makeup.
She sawso a friend and on the way back she
was like, I ain't did that in a minute. We
went to three places. We closed it out lights, cable light.
People were like Angela, yeah, so happy birthday to you, jeh,
and then they kept to get it was my birthday.

Speaker 4 (10:32):
We had so much and you came all the way
from New York, had friends come from Detroit. That was
a really nice group and it was chill. It was
low key, and it was we supported a black business.
It was like the eat out.

Speaker 3 (10:41):
Yeah, it was beautiful to eat out. BK. That's not
just a random thing, she.

Speaker 2 (10:44):
Said, right, it's a consperence. Yeah, context, thank you. All right, Well, anyway,
that is about last night. But when we come back,
maybe you've been having some nights where you're out hitting
up three places.

Speaker 3 (10:55):
Who do you call it?

Speaker 2 (10:56):
Two thirty in the morning, like, I'm coming over and
maybe you have some secrets you want to tell us
about some late night calls, or maybe you know on
the letout. That's when you hook up, right. Eight hundred
two ninety two fifty one fifty. It's a no judgment zone.
What is your secret? That's eight hundred two ninety two
fifty one fifty. Maybe you went out with your friends
it got so junk you threw up at the table,
Oh my god, and then dipped out.

Speaker 3 (11:17):
Who knows?

Speaker 2 (11:18):
Eight hundred two ninety two fifty one fifty. Call us up,
we want to hear your secrets.

Speaker 3 (11:22):
You're anonymous. It's a no judgment zone. Again.

Speaker 2 (11:24):
That's eight hundred two ninety two fifty one fifty. Call
us up and tell us a secret.

Speaker 5 (11:28):
Oh yeah, this is a judgment free zone.

Speaker 1 (11:32):
Tell us a secret.

Speaker 2 (11:34):
Oh yeah, baby, it's way up with Angela. Yeah, I'm
here with Jasmine Brand.

Speaker 4 (11:37):
I'm not just needy brand, I'm my own.

Speaker 2 (11:39):
Brand, and it's time for tell us a secret. That's
when you call up anonymously.

Speaker 4 (11:43):
No judgment, no judgment at all?

Speaker 3 (11:44):
All right?

Speaker 2 (11:45):
Eight hundred two nine two fifty one fifty anonymous caller,
what's your secret?

Speaker 8 (11:49):
Oh, this happened about like last year. I broke up
my ex. Actually, if he was like real nazzy to
my mom if we talked there are crazy just just
be saying anything there.

Speaker 4 (11:58):
So like I had to let her go.

Speaker 8 (12:00):
You know, my mom is respective for me of a
tight knit relationship. So I broke up with her. But
as you know, going through the breakup process, she had
a necklace at my crib. You know, I was a
little down on my luck with casts and all that,
so I actually sold her necklace.

Speaker 3 (12:17):
You sold her? Next does she asked for her back?

Speaker 4 (12:20):
She did actually later on what'd you say?

Speaker 8 (12:22):
You know, I tried to play them like I didn't
know where it was or anything, but you know, I
got a little good chunk of change for that.

Speaker 4 (12:29):
Just wow, I'm kind of still stuck at the fact
that you broke over her over your mom. That's interesting.
You don't hear that that often.

Speaker 8 (12:35):
My mom is real special to me though I love
my mom and I tried to like make them get along,
but she just wasn't budgeting.

Speaker 3 (12:42):
Okay, Now, moment to honesty. Was your mom rude to
her first?

Speaker 2 (12:45):
Because I agree with not being rude to somebody's mom,
but sometimes mom's be over protective.

Speaker 4 (12:50):
Mom's trip is sometimes that's mom.

Speaker 8 (12:53):
Though, you gotta respect your elder.

Speaker 3 (12:54):
I agree, but I'm just saying, how bad was it?

Speaker 4 (12:57):
Like?

Speaker 3 (12:57):
Was your mom the one that was kind of yeah, like.

Speaker 8 (13:00):
My mom want to let us in the front seat?

Speaker 4 (13:03):
Oh my god.

Speaker 8 (13:05):
I didn't think it was that crazy personally, but he
just sitn't handle it and would be talking back to
my mom.

Speaker 2 (13:11):
Yeah, I would let his mom sit in the front seat,
but most moms would be like, no, you sit.

Speaker 4 (13:16):
Yeah, they would like your mom whatever. The point of
the matter is you secretly pod your ex girlfriend stuff.

Speaker 8 (13:22):
Yeah, I kind of feel bad about it, but I
needed a cast at the time.

Speaker 3 (13:28):
One more question. Do you normally have issues with your
girlfriends because of your mom?

Speaker 1 (13:31):
Yeah?

Speaker 4 (13:31):
Of course he does.

Speaker 3 (13:33):
Of course, does she ever like anybody?

Speaker 8 (13:35):
No, she has a different question for a different day.
All right, I'm working on it.

Speaker 4 (13:39):
Okay, Okay, the problem, we got it, all.

Speaker 3 (13:42):
Right, Mama's boy, We'll see you.

Speaker 4 (13:46):
That is whacks him.

Speaker 3 (13:47):
I normally get along with people's moms, so yeah, but
I can't.

Speaker 6 (13:51):
I don't know.

Speaker 2 (13:51):
I don't know what that might be like. There might
be like one mom. I actually know there was one
mom who didn't like me.

Speaker 4 (13:57):
There wasn't any and I have a strong person out
There wasn't any that I knew of, maybe behind closed doors,
but you dump.

Speaker 2 (14:03):
Her when I was in college. We'll talk about it later.
Good topic though, it is all right when.

Speaker 3 (14:07):
We come back. We got your ye t.

Speaker 2 (14:09):
Let's talk about this celebrity who said he will never
work with women again after this sexual harassment case.

Speaker 3 (14:16):
We'll tell you who it is and what happened. It's
way up.

Speaker 1 (14:18):
Sure, she's about to blow the lead of off this bot.
Let's get it.

Speaker 5 (14:21):
Angelus building that yee te Come and get the tea.

Speaker 3 (14:25):
All right? His way up at the Angela yee I'm
here with the Jasmine brand.

Speaker 4 (14:28):
I'm not just any brand on my own brand.

Speaker 3 (14:30):
Let's get right into this yee t.

Speaker 2 (14:32):
So, according to All hip hop dot Com, they have
this exclusive. Cassie is officially considered unreachable by the federal court.
A judge ruled that she has been evading getting served
in this whole freak golf of lawsuit that was filed
by Clayton Howard, so now he's able to serve her
through alternate means. So there were nine failed service attempts

(14:53):
at three different addresses in New York and Connecticut as
well as they reached out to her lawyer. The lawyer
responded but declined to a accept service. So with no
physical location confirmed, they said, the only practical option is
through US is to.

Speaker 3 (15:08):
Send the summons complaint in ordered by email.

Speaker 2 (15:11):
So normally you have to serve somebody, but once you
try that and it's been done several times and they
can serve you another way.

Speaker 4 (15:16):
Yeah, that's happened to us before.

Speaker 3 (15:19):
I'm glad you got your site back. Jasmine. The Jasmine
brand is back.

Speaker 4 (15:22):
The Jasmine brand is back, baby.

Speaker 2 (15:23):
The Instagram page is official now because y'all had like
the dot Jasmine Dot brand.

Speaker 3 (15:28):
Now it's just the Jasmine brand.

Speaker 4 (15:29):
The shout out to Meyer Fattleforts miraculously give them back.
I don't know what he did, but we're back baby,
all right now.

Speaker 2 (15:34):
Jason Derulo is saying that he will never work with
women again. He was on an episode of In Depth
with Graham Bensinger, and here is what he had to
say after he had gotten sued by a woman, and
the lawsuit was then dismissed.

Speaker 3 (15:52):
But here's what he said, what.

Speaker 1 (15:53):
Did you learn going through that? Never work with women?

Speaker 9 (15:57):
This truth and every joke, it's a sad truth, like
I will be alone in a room with a woman
that I work with ever again.

Speaker 1 (16:03):
It's too risky.

Speaker 9 (16:04):
That case was dismissed twice and there's hardly no mention
of it online. When that case was brought up, it
was on every single front page and I lost so
many brand deal's relationships. I lost millions of dollars.

Speaker 2 (16:20):
Yeah, so now he's saying he won't do that. Look,
he probably has PTSD from the situation.

Speaker 4 (16:25):
Yeah, and it can't hard to have someone else around,
you know, it's fine.

Speaker 2 (16:28):
Right, He has a twice dismissed lawsuit against the singer
who you know has made allegations against him, and he
said they were ridiculous and things that just sounded not
even believable.

Speaker 3 (16:39):
Right, So you know, all.

Speaker 2 (16:41):
Right, Now here's an apology from Trayvon Boykeen. Now this
all happened after an interview resurfaced. He said he shared
a moment, and this moment was ten years ago where
he talks about going to Thanksgiving at Russell Wilson's house,
and this was on a podcast where he was just

(17:04):
discussing how weird it was.

Speaker 3 (17:05):
Here's what he said initially.

Speaker 11 (17:07):
Russell Wilson, I went to his house for Thanksgiving. The
wordest felt like his mama would nerve. Sisters will nerve
even if you don't fool with your family like it
still works me on Thanksgiving. It's literally him Sierra, Sierra,
daddy me, nooney baby, future, the shelf in two nannies.

Speaker 3 (17:28):
All right.

Speaker 2 (17:28):
Well, on this latest episode of the House of Playmakers,
he did apologize that I don't know, let's hear it, okay.

Speaker 11 (17:37):
When it comes to Thanksgiving. And the reason I said
what I said is because when we had a little
bit of nothing, we still came together as a family.
So when I seen something a little bit different, it
was that to me it was different. Now, I probably
could have articulated it a lot better than what I did,
and I could have gave a little bit more context
than what I did. I do want to issue an

(17:57):
apology because they didn't necessarily desert it have told a
story without name dropping.

Speaker 3 (18:04):
Why wasn't he with his family if they were so close?

Speaker 4 (18:06):
Yeah, that's a fact. And I also like to say
I didn't really have a problem with what he said.
I had a problem him saying on the podcast like
if he was talking to one of his homeboys, like yo,
it was weird over there. Yeah, we wouldn't even know. Yeah,
that's fine. But then you're on the podcast like, you know, come.

Speaker 3 (18:17):
On, this man invited you into his home.

Speaker 4 (18:20):
That's so private.

Speaker 9 (18:21):
Now.

Speaker 2 (18:21):
Russell Wilson's mom also responded and said, I'm his mom.
It's none of your business. This is opportunistic. I am
so tired of you man cutting down my son. Jesus
said to all, accusing the woman he who is without
send cast the first stone.

Speaker 4 (18:33):
She pulled a scripture out.

Speaker 3 (18:35):
Yes, she also brought up his criminal history. Well, she said,
rust thought enough of you.

Speaker 2 (18:39):
Who has a criminal history to love you enough to
invite you over? You know your mama get the coup
all right? Well that is your yet and when we
come back, we have under the radar. These are the
stories that are not necessarily in the headlines. They're flying
under the radar. But you need to know about him.
We told you about Netflix and this seventy two billion
dollar equity deal. Well, now there is a one hundred

(19:01):
and eight point four billion dollar bid for Warner Brothers Discovery.

Speaker 3 (19:05):
We'll give you the details.

Speaker 5 (19:06):
Its way up this in the news that relates to you.
These stories are flying under the.

Speaker 2 (19:10):
Radar, all right, as way you put it into LA. Yeah,
and it's time to go under the radar with Jasmine.

Speaker 13 (19:15):
Brand also home brand.

Speaker 2 (19:18):
Now, look, these are some big money deals we're talking about,
but a little digging will help.

Speaker 3 (19:22):
You understand what's happening.

Speaker 2 (19:24):
So Netflix had got this offer accepted, and that was
a seventy two billion dollar merger between Netflix and Warner
Brothers Discovery that would include their film studio HBO and
HBO Max. And then they also would get access to
decades of films and shows and the Warner Brothers Pictures archive,

(19:46):
but it would not include CNN ANDTNT and other cable
networks that are owned by Warner Brothers Discovery. Well, Paramount
is now launching a hostile bid for Warner Brothers Discovery,
even though this Netflix deal has already been announced last week,
and they are actually offering.

Speaker 3 (20:03):
You know, way more money.

Speaker 2 (20:05):
Thirty hours per year, right, you said thirty dollars per year. Yeah, yeah,
So one hundred and seventy eight billion dollars, So that.

Speaker 3 (20:13):
Is it that you No, that's the wrong number. Is
it what I'm saying? Oh, then I'm trying to oh,
one hundred and eight point four billion. Sorry, okay, I'd
not get that wrong.

Speaker 2 (20:19):
One hundred and eight point four billion dollars is what
they're offering. And so here's what's interesting though, because Donald
Trump has weighed in and he's not giving the Netflix
deal his stamp of approval. He said he will be
involved in that decision, and historically presidents have not gotten
involved in anti trust approvals when companies are seeking to merge.

(20:40):
So it's just going to require some approvals, but not
from the FCC because if they don't own any broadcast stations. However,
what's interesting about it is that when it comes to
Paramounts deal in situation, his son in law is part
of has an investment firm called Infinity Partners that he founded,
Jared Kushner, and he would be also backing that with

(21:02):
his funds.

Speaker 4 (21:03):
So this explains probably why Trump wants to be involved now.

Speaker 3 (21:05):
He wants to be involved.

Speaker 2 (21:06):
In addition to that, the person who acquired Paramount earlier
this year, Larry He's the son of Larry Ellison and
an eight billion dollar deal. Has close ties to Donald Trump.
His father had a very close ties to him, and
he also spoke to Donald Trump over and had great conversations.
He said, he said, I don't want to speak for
him in any way, shape or form, but I've had

(21:28):
great conversations.

Speaker 4 (21:30):
Now we know his motive, so.

Speaker 2 (21:31):
Now we know there's always a little something extra. So
we shall see what happens with this situation. All right,
does that mean my streaming bill is going down?

Speaker 4 (21:39):
I was just I was just trying to figure out, like,
does this mean I'm going to have less apps to
pay for? All they combine them, it'll be less maybe.

Speaker 2 (21:45):
All right, well that is you're under the radar. When
we come back, we got the way it mix at
the top of the hour. Plus we have a special
guest joining us today, doctor Bayou. She is the founder
of Clinicians Who Care. So if you have a great doctor,
you can add them to this list.

Speaker 3 (21:58):
It's way up.

Speaker 2 (22:00):
She's like to talk like they Angela Jean, like they
Angela Jean.

Speaker 5 (22:04):
She's it all this is yeaty way.

Speaker 3 (22:10):
Yeah, it's but you put Angela Yee. I'm here with
Jasmine brand.

Speaker 1 (22:12):
I'm not.

Speaker 3 (22:14):
I'm my own brand, all right.

Speaker 2 (22:16):
So the Golden Globe nominations are in and these are
gonna air January eleventh on CBS and stream on Paramount
Plus One Battle after Another.

Speaker 3 (22:25):
I haven't seen have you seen that? My nominations?

Speaker 4 (22:27):
I was just gonna ask you, did you see that?

Speaker 13 (22:28):
No?

Speaker 4 (22:28):
I have not.

Speaker 2 (22:29):
I'm ashamed of myself and I haven't seen that yet
because I keep on hearing great things about it. But
I also want to point out Tianna Taylor is up
for Best Supporting Actress for her role. I saw that
in One Battle after another and I'm Jordan. Yes, yeah,
we're gonna get to that.

Speaker 3 (22:44):
Michael B.

Speaker 2 (22:45):
Jordan also is up for a nomination for Golden Globe
Awards Sentimental Value and Sinners. Those are the top nominations
to eight nominations and seven nominations respectively. Okay, in addition
to that, White Lotus, you know I love that show,
and Adolescens have both six and five nominations respectively.

Speaker 4 (23:04):
I never saw Adolescents, but I do love White Lotus.

Speaker 3 (23:07):
White Lotus is my show. I cannot wait. It's going
to be in France.

Speaker 4 (23:10):
Oh, in the new season.

Speaker 3 (23:12):
Yeah, so shout out to everybody who was nominated.

Speaker 2 (23:14):
If you've been watching your face this a lot of
times when they do these, I'm like, I've never even heard.

Speaker 3 (23:18):
Of this show. It makes it, but it does make
you go and watch it, and.

Speaker 4 (23:21):
I feel like this is the one where they say,
maybe you might get nominated for Oscar based off of
Golden Globes, right sometimes, Yeah, that's how they predicted.

Speaker 2 (23:29):
Another new award is Best Stand Up Special, Okay, and
so Kevin Hart is nominated for that as well, So
shout out to him for that. And he's got some
great streaming numbers too for his new special show.

Speaker 3 (23:40):
I just had a chance to watch it finally.

Speaker 2 (23:42):
Okay, all right, now let's get into Kelly Rowland. So
she's been on tour, as you know, and she was
a strange for her father from her father for over
thirty years. She reconnected in twenty eighteen after she gave
birth to her first son, and he was in the
audience at her show and she did it catd a
song to him sweet and here's how that sounded.

Speaker 3 (24:05):
This next song I want to dedicate to this day.

Speaker 4 (24:10):
Helped bring me.

Speaker 8 (24:11):
Into this morn.

Speaker 12 (24:13):
This is his first time SI performing.

Speaker 1 (24:15):
To for You.

Speaker 3 (24:19):
Wow. He was in the audience for her son This
is for You. That's so sweet? All right now.

Speaker 2 (24:24):
Wile was recently on the Boardroom Talks program of B
Climbing and Damien Scott, and he talked, of course, about
his new album Everything Is a Lot, which I've been
playing non stop.

Speaker 4 (24:34):
It's a it's a one one through how many twelve tracks.

Speaker 3 (24:37):
It's a really solid album. It am all right.

Speaker 2 (24:40):
So one of the things that he talked about was
his relationship with Kid Cuddy and how that kind of deteriorated.
He talked about a time where Kit Cutty had said
some negative things about him to Complex, basically like nobody listens.

Speaker 3 (24:54):
To Wale, why would you say that?

Speaker 4 (24:57):
Yeah, that's mean.

Speaker 2 (24:59):
And here's what else he has to say about him
and Kit Cutty, and how things kind of fell apart
because they were going to do a song together and
then kit Cutty send him the vocals like over the phone.

Speaker 3 (25:10):
Listen to this, We did.

Speaker 12 (25:11):
The vocals over the phone, and like he couldn't really
be bothered to do the vocals properly. Okay, so whatever
you did that twenty sixteen, I invited him to something
like personal and he just like everybody just wants me
to do anything for It.

Speaker 1 (25:22):
Was like a long win and I was like, whoa.

Speaker 3 (25:25):
All right that like, let's fight.

Speaker 12 (25:26):
It was really bad for a couple of years how
I felt about him and how I felt about the
grace he would get for like struggling. I was going
through the same stuff and I ain't no getting in it.
But now like I'm almost like everybody's kumbay yak.

Speaker 4 (25:38):
He said, Okay, let's fight.

Speaker 2 (25:40):
He did just those vocals too. I just want to
put that out. Yeah, so there you go. All right,
Well that is your yet when we come back, ask
ye eight hundred two nine two fifty one fifty is
a number, call us up, any question. Me and Jazmine
Brion gotcha back. That's eight hundred two nine to two
fifty one fifty. Maybe you're a dog and a mutt
and you need some help.

Speaker 3 (25:58):
We got you. It's way up, whether.

Speaker 5 (26:00):
It's relationship or career advice. Angela's dropping facts.

Speaker 3 (26:06):
What's up?

Speaker 2 (26:06):
His way up with Angela? Yee, I'm here with the
Jasmine brand to give you some advice. And today we
have someone on the line who is in a relationship,
sexual relationship, with her friend's cousin and doesn't know how
to tell her.

Speaker 7 (26:19):
What's your opinion? Only my friend cousin. She doesn't know
about it yet, but I'm just trying to get some
you knows about it. Thank you, Angelie, and we.

Speaker 3 (26:30):
Love you, Jasmine. What are your thoughts on this?

Speaker 2 (26:33):
How do you tell somebody close to you that I'm
having sex with your cousin.

Speaker 4 (26:37):
I think the sooner the better because I think it'll
be awkward, and also the cousin doesn't want to feel
like to be the last to know. So I think
that I don't think it's that big of a deal.

Speaker 3 (26:45):
Though it's not. It becomes, you know what.

Speaker 2 (26:47):
The longer you wait and the more you like hide
and lie and deceive, then that's when it becomes an issue.
I'm just wondering why she didn't say something sooner. I
guess sometimes it's awkward for people if you're dating like
a friend's family member.

Speaker 3 (26:59):
Have you done that?

Speaker 4 (27:01):
I don't think so. I don't think so.

Speaker 2 (27:03):
When I was younger, one of my friends dated my
other friend's brother.

Speaker 4 (27:08):
M Okay, how was that?

Speaker 3 (27:09):
It was weird?

Speaker 8 (27:10):
Yeah?

Speaker 4 (27:10):
Yeah, and it's probably gonna be for a little bit too.

Speaker 3 (27:13):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (27:13):
I think sometimes it is a little annoying because if
things happen, like if there's any fallout, or say the
cousin starts like messing with other people.

Speaker 3 (27:23):
Now how you feel obblive? Now I'm caught in the
middle of something. It's tricky.

Speaker 2 (27:26):
I think when you tell your friend, also let her
know I don't want you to be in the middle
of anything, right, I will not involve him, not going
to ask you questions about your cousin. You know, this
just happened. It wasn't anything that I ever thought would
go down, and so I really like him, he likes me.
But I'm definitely not going to involve you because you know,
when you talk to your friends about who you're dating, Yeah,
it's weird if it's that person's cousin.

Speaker 3 (27:48):
If you're like, he ain't in ish or he's you know,
so you just have.

Speaker 4 (27:51):
To she can't be venting.

Speaker 3 (27:52):
You can't vent.

Speaker 2 (27:53):
You can say positive things that you want to make
sure that you navigate this respectfully, knowing that your and
is in an awkward position.

Speaker 3 (28:01):
Sometimes that's good advice.

Speaker 2 (28:03):
All right, Well that was asked ye eight hundred and two,
nine fifty fifty. As you can see, we take your
voicemails as well. And when we come back, we have
a special guest joining us, doctor Bayou, alongside Coach Jesse. Now,
doctor Bayou has her own platform call Clinicians who Care.
It is a crowd source list of healthcare clinicians. Doctor
Bayou herself is a nationally recognized health advocate, Board certified

(28:26):
and family medicine. So she's had experience on both sides,
being a patient and being a doctor.

Speaker 3 (28:33):
So who better to take advice from. It's way up.

Speaker 1 (28:37):
It's going to turn me up. Here we go up.
This is way up with angela ye.

Speaker 2 (28:42):
What's up? This way up with Angela yee? And it's
that time. We got some really important things to discuss.
Coach Jesse is here with me. What happens when doctors
don't listen? Now, we do have somebody here who has
been on it. You're a Board certified family physician, a
health equity advocate, and the founder of Clinicians who Care.

Speaker 3 (29:02):
Doc to Bio, Welcome to WEIGAP.

Speaker 13 (29:04):
Thank you for having me. I'm excited just to be
here in this room. Like the energy, I'm all in.

Speaker 3 (29:10):
Now, Doc to bio.

Speaker 2 (29:11):
Before we get into the solutions that you've come up with.
I want people to understand what your story is. You
live this not just as a doctor, but also as
a patient. So talk to us about what was happening
with you and how doctors kept brushing you off.

Speaker 13 (29:26):
Although I've been in this space for a long time,
it wasn't until I nearly became a statistic that we
hear about all the time, which is black women are
three times more likely to die during childbirth or shortly
thereafter than our white counterpart. Well, I had just delivered
my second baby and I came out of the C section,
and it was about thirty minutes. I knew I didn't

(29:48):
feel right. I called my nurse and I said, something
isn't right, and she said, you look fine, bio, everything
looks normal. This is how you're supposed to feel. I'll
never forget. As she exit the room, it started to
get worse. I started to feel a pain that I'd
never felt in my life. Next thing I know, I
go to the OH, I'm sent to the or. I
found that I'm bleeding internally.

Speaker 3 (30:11):
I'm transfused multiple units of blood. It was hospitalized for weeks.

Speaker 2 (30:15):
And so in that moment, I nearly lost my life
and so and knowing something was wrong.

Speaker 13 (30:21):
I knew something was wrong, and so I want to
help as many people as I can, and especially women
and black women be able to have that voice because
I know what it's like. Because this is a hospital
that I work as a physician and a medical director,
so the staff knew me for years, but it didn't matter.

Speaker 3 (30:41):
Right now, I'm here with Coach Jesse. We're talking to
doctor Bio and.

Speaker 2 (30:44):
We're discussing her clinicians who care crowd towards lists of
healthcare clinicians who have been recognized as caring and empathetic doctors.
You know, doctor Bio, You've also kind of pulled back
the curtain on what goes on in medical training which
the average person wouldn't know.

Speaker 13 (30:59):
I talk about the three c's being clear, concise, and confident.
If you are not feeling well and you go to
the doctor and you're like, I just haven't been feeling
well for a couple of days, that doctor can interpret
it in many ways. They can say, Oh, you're just anxious,
or maybe you just need to sleep more, or maybe
you just need to kind of reduce your stress. Versus
I've been having stomach pain for three days, I can't eat,

(31:22):
I'm nauxious all the time, and it's impacting my quality
of life. All of a sudden, you are being clear,
you're being concise, and you are being confident. And I
can tell you when you say it in that way,
a doctor who will have a running list, meaning there's
a term called differential diagnosis. So based on the symptoms
that you present, that doctor will think of three to

(31:43):
four things that your symptoms could be associated with. So
that example, I gave with stomach pain, the doctor's going
to think it could be constipation, it could be gall bladders,
it could be stress. But if you give it in
the way that I said, all of a sudden, it's like, oh,
maybe we need to check for answer. Maybe we need
to check for this. If you are in front of
a doctor and they tell you your labs look fine,

(32:06):
everything looks normal, this is what I recommend you say.
I understand that my labs are normal, but I'm curious.
I'm still not feeling well, So what are the next
steps to identify why I'm feeling like this? And using
the words curious or help me understand is an important piece.

Speaker 2 (32:24):
All right, we have medical director of Urgent care clinics
at Saint Mary's Health Network, Auntie's Bord certified and family
medicine doctor Bio is here. We have more with her
when we come back. It's way up, dude.

Speaker 5 (32:35):
Is one of the most famous women in radio video.

Speaker 1 (32:38):
We're talking about Angela h You're way up with Angela Yee.
Please believe that.

Speaker 2 (32:42):
What's up is way up with Angela Yee. Have you
ever had problems finding a doctor who cared about you,
who you felt like I could ask them anything, Who
you're comfortable with? Well, Doctor Bayou has clinicians who care.
She's here with me and Coach Jesse today and we're
talking about her. Crowdsource list of healthcare clinicians talk to
us about what is clinicians who care?

Speaker 13 (33:02):
So over ninety percent of Americans have shared that they
have been dismissed or gas lit when they seek care,
and that means being told that you're fine, everything is okay.

Speaker 8 (33:11):
Well.

Speaker 13 (33:11):
Recently, I shared another story of dismissal that happened to
me during my third year of medical school in Chicago.
I noticed that I started losing my hair, I was
dealing with joint pain, and my hands and my feet
were swollen. Every morning didn't matter what I did. And
so I went to the doctor and I was told, well,

(33:32):
do you think you're pregnant. I was like, no, I
don't use that pregnant. And then I was told, well,
this is normal because you're in medical school and you
are just stressed out. So after going to six doctors,
I finally found one doctor to listen and believe me,
and I ultimately ended up with the diagnosis of lupus
and I have a clotting disorder as well well. I

(33:54):
shared that story online. I had never shared that, even
though I share a lot, and when I did, it
blew up because people were sharing their dismissal, but they
were also sharing the name of a doctor who had listened, cared,
and believed them. And then I thought to myself, Oh,
I know what I'm gonna do.

Speaker 3 (34:10):
I'm going to create a.

Speaker 13 (34:10):
List that connects people with doctors who've been shown to listen, care,
and believe their patients. So created my team, a small
little team. We created a Google form and we put
city and state, we put every single specialty. It is
a patient recommended list.

Speaker 3 (34:26):
It is organic. I started it just a few months
ago and putting themselves on there.

Speaker 13 (34:31):
Now they could be, but we have vetted, you know,
we've bet and we can see. But just three weeks
ago I received a DM and a woman said that
she had been dismissed for several years. She found an
ob guine on the list and unfortunately was diagnosed with
a varying cancer. But in the message, she said, thank
you because I found a doctor that took all of

(34:53):
my symptoms seriously. And then I had a mom who
reached out from Connecticut and said, I have a newer
divergent child and I have been looking for a pediatrician
who will take my child and their journey seriously. And
it touches my heart because she said, I found someone
on your list and we have a plan. It's like,
that's healthcare and our system is fractured. We know that,

(35:16):
but if we can have something that will help us
get to the right care sooner rather than later, that's huge.

Speaker 3 (35:24):
You know, doctor Bayo, you are definitely a clinician who cares.
I can tell. It's just by this platform that you've created.

Speaker 2 (35:30):
But also how passionate you are when you talk about everything,
so I can't even imagine, you know, just the help
that you've given to people.

Speaker 13 (35:37):
Thank you for having me here. Thank you for the
opportunity to reach more people.

Speaker 3 (35:42):
I am grateful and.

Speaker 2 (35:43):
Please add your if you have an amazing experience, please
care dot com. Well, thank you so much. We appreciate
you for coming through. This is amazing for a.

Speaker 3 (35:53):
Lot of saving lives.

Speaker 13 (35:54):
Thank you, Thank you for having me all right.

Speaker 2 (35:57):
If you have a great doctor and you want to
add them to clins who Care, make sure you do that.
And if you want to watch this for a interview
with doctor Bio and coach Jesse, you can check it
out on my YouTube channel Way Up with Ye And
when we come back, you guys have the last word.

Capricorn season?

of the night. Okay, okay, and then it's over.

Speaker 3 (36:32):
Well, thank you being your coming up next.

Speaker 2 (36:33):
Thank you for being our opener for Capricorns season and
we appreciate you my pleasure. Okay, good, The main actor
is coming soon, Ladies and gentlemen, Capricorn season again. Thank
you to doctor Bio for joining us. Make sure y'all
check out clinicians who care. I think making sure that
we are comfortable going to the doctor, that we feel
like we're being heard. We all talk about black maternal

(36:54):
health care and also just black women in general not
getting the same care as other parts, so this is
really important. There's a lot of good clinicians out there,
so imagine a list of those who are great that
have been vetted out and that are great references.

Speaker 4 (37:09):
I love it.

Speaker 3 (37:10):
But anyway, this is your show, so you have the
last words.

Speaker 6 (37:14):
My name is.
