Speaker 1 (00:00):
Ye ye is what you all been waiting for.

Speaker 2 (00:03):
Oh you're tapped in the way up with Angela.

Speaker 1 (00:06):
Ye.

Speaker 3 (00:06):
That intro just made me left because that's a ray
Jay going and he's just a funny person. But anyway,
welcome to wait up. My guy, Fred Mwonga Gahanga is
here with me today. Oh girl, back back again.

Speaker 2 (00:21):
Listen.

Speaker 3 (00:21):
I want to tell you I get the most tea
when the MIC's not on. But we're going to get
into it this morning. It is also a Wealth Wednesday,
and to be clear, Fred has a He is a
wealth of information when it comes to investing, when it
comes to the law, when it comes to entrepreneurship. You're
the perfect person to be here on a Wealth Wednesday.

(00:42):
But we do have the seven figure Spot Chick joining us.
That's Candice Holy Phil Parker and she's going to be
talking about marketing tips. Every entrepreneur needs to survive and
scale in twenty twenty six.

Speaker 1 (00:54):
I know I need to do that. I've been scaling
my business slowly.

Speaker 4 (00:57):
Good for you.

Speaker 1 (00:57):
Yeah, Coffee uplifts people shout out to Nick Arrington. He
does hit me.

Speaker 3 (01:01):
He I have a Harlem location now on one hundred
and tenth Street, and Fifth Avenue, and he's like, we
need to do the run club out of this location.

Speaker 1 (01:08):
He just happened to see it.

Speaker 3 (01:09):
So it's just nice to see people not even realizing
that's my business.

Speaker 4 (01:14):
Yeah. I think a lot of people know you as
a radio personality is and in that personality, but they
don't know you as a business person. And you are
one of the great business people of our generation.

Speaker 1 (01:23):
Oh, oh my gosh, how you like that?

Speaker 5 (01:25):
I like that?

Speaker 3 (01:26):
Okay, all right, we gotta take you out when I
got things to do, so, you know. But anyway, let's
get the show started with some love and some positivity
because I gotta also talk about philanthropy. And I want
to shine a light when we come back on a
board that I'm on that has a galla happening this Friday.

Speaker 1 (01:40):
It's the way ye.

Speaker 6 (01:43):
Turn your lights on, y'all. It spreading love to those
who are doing greatness.

Speaker 2 (01:48):
Shine the light on, shine a light on. It's time
to shine a light on him.

Speaker 3 (01:54):
All right, his way up, But Angela, Yeah, I'm here
with my guy Fred m and I want to shine
a light on the America Foundation for the University of
the West Indies, Yui, And they are actually having their
twenty ninth Gala Awards this Friday, so for sure going.
But I'm also on the board and I just love
this organization. What they do is they help students who

(02:14):
are going to u A University of the West Indies
with finances. So whether it's an emergency that happened and
you don't have enough money to continue your education, sometimes
students are making a choice between Okay, are we going
to rebuild after this, you know hurricane, or.

Speaker 1 (02:32):
Am I going to be able to go to school
this year?

Speaker 3 (02:34):
And so the support that a FOOY gives helps these
scholars actually get their college education and not have to
worry about that part of it.

Speaker 4 (02:41):
That's important. I mean, you know, being a college student,
you know there's bill bills everywhere, and I mean that's
here in the United States. If you're in the Caribbean,
you don't have that kind of disposable income, it's even harder.

Speaker 3 (02:52):
Yeah, over the last ten years, they've given six hundred
and fifty tuition scholarships, wo and bursaries to students at
the ATU.

Speaker 1 (03:00):
So I just love that they do that. So that
helps with buying your.

Speaker 3 (03:03):
Books, we're paying for school, with paying for room and
board and all of those things. And I actually have
had a chance to meet some of the students. They
always bring in some students who actually got uh these scholarships.

Speaker 4 (03:13):
So yeah, it's great to see your work kind of
you know, yeah in the flush.

Speaker 3 (03:18):
Right, A lot of us go to the West Indies
on vacation, so we got to support the West Indies too.

Speaker 1 (03:22):
All right, now, Ricky, who do you want to shine
a light on.

Speaker 7 (03:25):
I want to shine a light on my kids mother.

Speaker 8 (03:28):
She is amazing.

Speaker 7 (03:31):
Everything.

Speaker 8 (03:32):
I'm a truck drivers, on my schedules, all everything.

Speaker 3 (03:37):
What's her name again, that's a beautiful that's a beautiful name.

Speaker 8 (03:43):
Beautiful name.

Speaker 7 (03:45):
All right, everything my kids want but nothing.

Speaker 3 (03:49):
And that's got to be relief, A relief for you
being on the road, knowing that everything is being held down.

Speaker 7 (03:54):
It's a relief. I just got back from last week,
but I called out because it's stuff that need to happen.
I'm finally able to take my thun therapy. I gave
her a little rate this morning. I got to all
the boys or boy ready this morning. Somewhay, you had
to coach me, but she had to relax.

Speaker 1 (04:13):
Look all right, Well, thank you for calling shout out
to Jelavia.

Speaker 7 (04:16):
I shout out to all Right, Well that was.

Speaker 3 (04:19):
S Hina Light eight hundred and two nine two fifty
one fifty. If you couldn't get three, leave a message
China Light the last word and we got your Yet
when we come back, I want to talk about Kanye now.
He had to postpone his show in France because officials
said he was not welcome.

Speaker 1 (04:34):
Right, Yeah, we're going to see probably a lot of
this going down. It's way up.

Speaker 3 (04:38):
It's like to talk like a Angela Jean like they
Angela Jean.

Speaker 2 (04:42):
Man, she's spilling it all. This is yet.

Speaker 1 (04:45):
Way, it's way up at Angela. Yea, it's me and Fred. Fred.
Let's talk about Kanye for a second in this yet.

Speaker 4 (04:54):
Yeah.

Speaker 3 (04:55):
So he just postponed his only show that he was
going to have in France. This after the UK refused
him entry, This after the French Interior Minister pledged to
explore all possibilities to make sure the show would not
go on as planned. And they also described And as
someone who openly proclaims his admiration for Hitler and claimed

(05:15):
Nazi ideas could not tread the stage of a city
whose very sole is woven from diversity, memory, and fraternity.

Speaker 4 (05:22):
Yeah, I mean, I think a lot of people don't
realize that the laws are a lot different in Europe.
In the United States, we have freedom of speech. If
you want to be a racist, you know that you'll
be socialists. You could be president, right, but you'll be
socially skewed. But there's nothing illegal about saying racist stuff.
But in places like England and in places like France,
they have laws that prevent you from saying racist stuff.

(05:43):
So a lot of the stuff that Kanye West to
said is technically illegal in a lot of these countries.

Speaker 3 (05:48):
Well, you know, the management company that booked him said
that in the contract they were ensuring there would be
no illegal remarks made during the concert, but that was
not enough for some of the critics.

Speaker 1 (06:00):
And he did say though.

Speaker 3 (06:02):
Kanye said that he is looking forward to his remaining
shows in India, Turkey, the Netherlands, Poland, Italy, Spain, and Portugal.

Speaker 4 (06:08):
Okay, I mean those countries all have laws too, so we.

Speaker 1 (06:11):
Can it'll be interesting.

Speaker 3 (06:12):
But he's also saying that he is the person that
is not going to do the show. He said, after
much thought and consideration, it's my sole decision to postpone
my show until further notice.

Speaker 4 (06:23):
Yeah, I mean, you know, I think he didn't want
this fight, especially in the midst of a tour, and
so he's just kind of moving.

Speaker 1 (06:28):
On to the next How can he make amends?

Speaker 2 (06:31):
I don't know.

Speaker 4 (06:31):
I think he's trying, right, Like he's apologized to a
lot of people. I think people right now are not
sure that they believe him because he's kind of apologized
before it and then did it again, right, And so
I think in time, I think that'll all work, Like are.

Speaker 3 (06:43):
We taking back our tuning boyfriend for him to cheat
on us again? But Dan is just excited that he'll
be able to perform here, right Dan? Okay?

Speaker 7 (06:51):
Now.

Speaker 3 (06:52):
Dave Chappelle recently did Newsmakers on NPR and talked about
performing in Dubai and what that experience was like for him.
If you remember, there was a lot of backlash with
this comedy festival.

Speaker 1 (07:04):
So here's what he said.

Speaker 9 (07:06):
The first time I can remember doing a big show
in the Middle East, they gave me a list of
all the things I wasn't supposed to address. So I
took the list on stage and that was the show.
I just did the list don't talk about the royal
families that y'all are not just made fun of them.

Speaker 1 (07:20):
They were screaming, all right now.

Speaker 3 (07:24):
He also discussed the backlash that he and other comedians
got for actually doing this festival.

Speaker 9 (07:31):
The United States government does business with Sadais, Netflix does
business with Saurdays.

Speaker 5 (07:35):
Everyone live.

Speaker 9 (07:36):
Sauday's financed tons of movies, all these I know, I
see them financing boxing matches and all these things. And
none of these things won issue until I went there.
As soon as a black man can make money off
the plantation, they're trying to tell you that the money
is dirty.

Speaker 1 (07:52):
And there you have it.

Speaker 4 (07:53):
Yeah, I mean, he's got something to.

Speaker 1 (07:55):
That, all right.

Speaker 3 (07:57):
And lastly, according to Radar Online, Chris Jenner is upset
about her three hundred thousand dollar facelift. It's already slipping.
I don't know if you saw these pictures, and I
don't be known this stuff is real if it's photoshopped.
But according to a source close to Chris Jenner, they
said she's not happy with the results. She is desperate
to get a revision.

Speaker 1 (08:18):
She fails.

Speaker 3 (08:18):
It has not held the way she expected, and she's
mad that Denise Richards and Laurie Lachlan both looks so good,
and she feels hers.

Speaker 1 (08:26):
Is already fading in comparison.

Speaker 4 (08:28):
I mean, I think, you know, when you get to
as many surgical procedures as she's had, you know, I
think it's like it starts to not work as well.
The first one works really well, and then by the
time you get the second third, it just doesn't.

Speaker 1 (08:40):
Can you defy gravity and aging gracefully? All right?

Speaker 3 (08:44):
When we come back, we have about last night where
we'll discuss what we did last night. You know, I
was working on my podcast and I know you and
I'm so proud of you.

Speaker 4 (08:52):
I did I did I really ever go out? But
I went out and we'll hear about it later.

Speaker 1 (08:55):
Okay, it's way up.

Speaker 2 (08:57):
So about last night I went down?

Speaker 1 (09:03):
Yeah, it's what ye? But Angela Yee is me and
Fred Mwanga gahanga.

Speaker 2 (09:07):
How are you?

Speaker 4 (09:08):
I'm very good.

Speaker 1 (09:09):
So you went out last night? I just shocked.

Speaker 10 (09:11):
I did.

Speaker 1 (09:11):
Okay.

Speaker 4 (09:12):
I went to a comedy club in Harlem. It's called
it's called the Harlem Comedy Club.

Speaker 1 (09:17):
That makes sense.

Speaker 4 (09:21):
There's a bunch of really cool art acts there, headlined
by Chris Spencer.

Speaker 3 (09:25):
Chrispenser is hilarious. He's got a special right now on Hulu.
That's so funny.

Speaker 4 (09:29):
Yeah, yeah, it was great. It was It was a
great night, and I think, you know, it's it's a
small comedy club. It's just started, but it's a I
think it's the kind of place that I think a
lot of people should go check it out.

Speaker 1 (09:38):
All right, Well that's nice. Who else was there? Anybody
you knew that was opening for him?

Speaker 4 (09:42):
You know, I'm not really playing you don't go out comedy,
but I mean everyone there was really good and really talented,
and it was a fun night and it was very
very affordable too, So I think it was.

Speaker 3 (09:52):
A you know, going to comedy clubs it is one
of my favorite things to do when I have a
little time.

Speaker 1 (09:56):
And I watched like everybody special.

Speaker 4 (09:58):
We tried to get you to go.

Speaker 3 (09:59):
I know, I was so last night I was working.
I was filming lip Service, so you know, we actually
just for people to know, we filmed two episodes at
a time, like every other week, and so yeah, so
last night was one of those nights. So shout out
to Maya the don who came through Millie's who also
just did way up with Angela Yeah, he was there,
and we had him in quite a situation, okay, because

(10:21):
we peered him with someone named Carmela Clutch And I'm
just telling you google her, but not at work.

Speaker 4 (10:27):
I think I could figure out what the clutch part
is about.

Speaker 3 (10:30):
What do you think the clutching is? I can't, but anyway,
so it was an interesting conversation. I love when people
can be like really transparent, open and frank about things
they have going on in their lives and with their frank.
All right, well, when we come back, speaking of which,
tell us a secret eight hundred two nine two fifty
one fifty. Maybe if we google your name but we're

(10:52):
not going to know your name, we might find some
things online and on the internet too. You know, maybe
you have a secret pass like that people don't know about. Uh,
that's one thing that we've had people call up and
talk about that. And it's a no judgment zone. And
I know you're good at not judging, Cane judge all right, well, perfect,
well eight hundred two ninety two fifty one fifty, this

(11:13):
is the time for you to call us up and
tell us a secret.

Speaker 1 (11:15):
It's a no judgment zone. Again.

Speaker 3 (11:17):
That's eight hundred two ninety two fifty one fifty. I
feel like yesterday Millies was telling us something about how
he No, I'm not gonna say that. You got to
listen to the interview. Okay, yeah, I'm not even gonna
do it to him. But eight hundred two.

Speaker 1 (11:32):
Nine two fifty one fifty. Call us up. Tell us
your secret.

Speaker 3 (11:35):
Remember, we don't know your name, we can't see your face.
You can disguise your voice. Do whatever you have to do.
It could be something that happened twenty years ago that
you never ever talked about, or something that's happening right
now that nobody else knows about.

Speaker 1 (11:47):
Eight hundred two ninety two fifty one fifty. Call us up.

Speaker 2 (11:50):
This is a judgment free zone. Tell us a secret.

Speaker 1 (11:53):
Wooh, tell us a secret.

Speaker 3 (11:55):
Time is way up at the ANGELA Ye, it's me
and Fred m And eight hundred nine two fifty one
fifty is the number. Again, it's a no judgment zone.
Frida and I are just here to guide you and
ask you questions. All right, what's up, Anonymous?

Speaker 2 (12:09):
Call it?

Speaker 1 (12:09):
What's your secret?

Speaker 11 (12:11):
My secret is on Thanksgiving? You know how Shopwright gives
you the free turkey?

Speaker 1 (12:16):
Oh yeah, I sure do.

Speaker 5 (12:17):
Well, I was mad at my brother, so.

Speaker 12 (12:19):
I told his turkey I phone number in and I
told turkey.

Speaker 1 (12:23):
Wow, that is so funny.

Speaker 3 (12:25):
So you you put his phone number in a checkout
and that's how you got your free turkey in And
now he couldn't go get his and.

Speaker 12 (12:32):
He went to get the turkey and they told him.

Speaker 1 (12:35):
Oh, does he know you did it?

Speaker 12 (12:38):
No?

Speaker 8 (12:38):
No?

Speaker 1 (12:39):
Oh, okay, well that's not too bad. What fred dou Angula,
that's not so bad.

Speaker 4 (12:46):
I mean turkey is expensive these days, is it really?

Speaker 7 (12:49):
Yeah?

Speaker 4 (12:49):
I mean it's like forty dollars for a turkey.

Speaker 3 (12:51):
Oh I wonder why. I wonder if she had two,
because she probably had her own she could redeem. I
did a turkey giveaway in the Bronx this year. Shout
out to my guys, Charles Noonan. They had so many
turkeys it was out of control. It was amazing wow.
And then yeah it was it was really cool.

Speaker 4 (13:06):
I'm gonna have to show up over there. Forty dollars.

Speaker 3 (13:08):
Yeah, I didn't realize it was that much. I don't
personally like turkey really.

Speaker 2 (13:12):
Yeah.

Speaker 3 (13:12):
Thanksgiving, I don't even eat turkey. I don't I won't
even have it at my house. But anyway. Okay, it's
neither here nor there. I rather have chicken. Hey, anonymiscoller,
what's up? You got to seek it for me and Fred?
No judgment?

Speaker 8 (13:23):
Yes, many years ago out doors mother's cousins twelve hundred
dollars that text work?

Speaker 1 (13:28):
Oh my gosh, how did that even happen?

Speaker 8 (13:31):
Like?

Speaker 1 (13:31):
How did you approach her and know that she would
even be down with that?

Speaker 8 (13:34):
Daughter's mother said, how did I get Revente on her?
She wouldn't do anything like that unless money was involved.
You know, everybody got the.

Speaker 1 (13:42):
Price, so you negotiated that price?

Speaker 12 (13:45):
Yeah?

Speaker 1 (13:46):
What did you start at? I'm just here? Yeah, just yeah?
What number did you start?

Speaker 8 (13:51):
Started?

Speaker 1 (13:51):
Like?

Speaker 8 (13:51):
One hundred dollars?

Speaker 1 (13:52):
Why? She got you up to twelve hundred?

Speaker 10 (13:55):
Yeah?

Speaker 1 (13:56):
Was it worth it?

Speaker 8 (13:57):
No? Not really, the revision was worth it me.

Speaker 1 (14:00):
Okay, have you paid for sex after that?

Speaker 8 (14:03):
Not directly, you know, dating is.

Speaker 1 (14:05):
Not paying for sex. But thank you for calling and
sharing with us.

Speaker 8 (14:09):
You're welcome.

Speaker 1 (14:10):
She got them up to twelve hundred, one hundred.

Speaker 4 (14:12):
That's good. That's a good look for oh.

Speaker 1 (14:14):
Man, Well that was tell it's a secret.

Speaker 3 (14:16):
Eight hundred and two ninety two fifty one fifty call
us up and tell us a secret for last word,
if you didn't make it through and when we come back,
we have your yet and Cardi B has plans after
her third album release, will tell you what those plans are.
She also brought out Vibes Cartel at a recent show.
It's way up car She came with receipts.

Speaker 2 (14:35):
It's time to spill that yet.

Speaker 1 (14:37):
All right, it's way up at Angela yee is me
and my guy fred A wonga gahanga. What's up?

Speaker 4 (14:41):
I'm good?

Speaker 1 (14:42):
All right. Have you gone to the Cardi B Tour?

Speaker 4 (14:44):
I haven't yet, but I hope to get down there.

Speaker 1 (14:47):
All right. Well.

Speaker 3 (14:48):
She has also talked about wanting to put out a
new album. She was on her uh tour staff in Charlotte,
North Carolina, and this is what she told fans.

Speaker 1 (14:58):
You know, money Spanish.

Speaker 11 (15:01):
After this, I'm going to the Spanish market.

Speaker 5 (15:05):
I'm talking no more English.

Speaker 1 (15:07):
She's been saying that she wants to do this, so
I mean, I think it's a great idea.

Speaker 4 (15:11):
I mean she's obviously she's a fluent Spanish speaker. And
you know there's an entire you know, Southern hemisphere or
Southern listen.

Speaker 3 (15:17):
We saw what the Super Bowl halftime show was like
with Bad Bunny, that market is incredible.

Speaker 1 (15:22):
So she's already I think, conscuous.

Speaker 4 (15:25):
Smart businesswoman. I mean, she understands the market, she understands
the opportunity, and she's going to.

Speaker 3 (15:29):
Take it now. Florida Sunrise, Florida, she was there yesterday.
She also bought out by the Way Vibes Cartel.

Speaker 1 (15:35):
Wow b which went crazy.

Speaker 3 (15:38):
But she also shouted out Quavo, who was in attendance
at that show, and she said even though he wasn't there,
he didn't perform, she just wanted to show him some love.
And she called him her brother, her brother Quabo, and
she also said rest in peace to take Off. I
think that's great, all right now, speaking of amigos, speaking
of Quavo and Takeoff.

Speaker 1 (15:59):
The FBI is looking for the public's.

Speaker 3 (16:00):
Help to find the suspect in the shooting of Offset,
and that was at that hard Rock hotel and casino
in Florida. I've been there before too, Yeah. I think
everyone's been to that hard Rock at some point, I think.
But the FBI office in Miami released an official statement
with several pictures of people they suspect were involved in
that altercation. They also posted those getaway vehicles.

Speaker 1 (16:20):
It's only a matter of time.

Speaker 4 (16:21):
Yeah, it's not. I mean, they've got high definition video,
they have they probably have license plates, they have cars
right now. They're looking for help. But whether or without
the public's help, they're gonna probably catch these guys, all right.

Speaker 3 (16:33):
And Whoopie Goldberg has launched her publishing imprint with Blackstone,
and that's with a mission to bring fresh and diverse
voices to the marketplace. She put out a statement that
I'm personally looking forward to finding new authors, working with
established authors, and bringing influential voices into this cur rated imprint.

Speaker 1 (16:51):
And so a lot of people have also launched their
own imprints.

Speaker 3 (16:55):
I mean, Reese Witherspoon has been killing it, yeah, John Legend,
Sarah Jessica Parker. So should be interesting to see how
this goes. I know a lot of people would want
to sign under Whoopi Goldberg's imprint, right.

Speaker 4 (17:07):
I mean, I mean, you know, more and more people
are kind of getting away from reading books, and it's
great to see that people like Whoopy goldbergers are going
out there putting her money and her brand behind this effort.

Speaker 3 (17:17):
You know, it's interesting to me because last night we
did an interview with Maya the don.

Speaker 1 (17:21):
And she has a book club.

Speaker 5 (17:22):
Wow.

Speaker 3 (17:23):
Yeah, she's only twenty four years old, and I love
that for her. So we were talking about books a lot.
Kevin Hart has announced his audible series. It's called Kids
Make Me Angry, and it's his most personal one yet.
He's going to break down eight phases of fatherhood, including
growing up with an absent father, becoming a dad for
the first time, and also dropping off his kids at college.

Speaker 4 (17:43):
I love that idea. I mean, you see, there's so
many books for kind of new moms, but you know,
you don't really hear too much about new dad books.
And I think Kevin Hart is a funny guy and
he's obviously a father, and I think I'd love to
hear hear.

Speaker 3 (17:55):
His sake on this Kids Make Me Angry? All right,
Well that is your yeete. When we come back under
the radar stories. Now, Donald Trump is talking about how
good diet soda is for him, and I'm gonna tell
you what his rationale is about why diet soda is
healthy and it must.

Speaker 1 (18:14):
Be good for you. I got this all write.

Speaker 6 (18:15):
It's way up this in the news that relates to you,
these stories are flying under the radar.

Speaker 3 (18:21):
Oh yeah, for all you die soda drinkers, it's way
up with Angela. Yeah, I'm here with my guy friend
Mawongaga Huga from Media Takeouts the founder.

Speaker 1 (18:29):
You love dia soda?

Speaker 8 (18:30):
I do?

Speaker 4 (18:31):
I do? I'm not sure after I hear this story,
I'm gonna still want to drink it though.

Speaker 1 (18:34):
Well.

Speaker 3 (18:35):
According to doctor Oz, he revealed to Donald Trump Junior
that your president Donald Trump has justified his habit of
why he drinks so much diet soda and they had
to sit down conversation on Triggered.

Speaker 1 (18:48):
With Don Jor. Okay, I didn't even know this podcast existed,
but here's what he had to say.

Speaker 10 (18:54):
Your dad argues that diet soda is good for him
because it kills grass. It's poured on grass, or must
kill cancer cells inside the body, so he'll try to
please I'm not even going to argue this right now.

Speaker 4 (19:06):
So if you pour it on grass, it kills the grass,
therefore it cures or it kills cancer cells.

Speaker 13 (19:13):
M h.

Speaker 1 (19:14):
What about the rest of this stuff in your body?

Speaker 4 (19:16):
Yeah? Yeah, even if you buy that right, like, does
it kill other stuff too?

Speaker 8 (19:20):
Then?

Speaker 1 (19:21):
Yeah?

Speaker 3 (19:21):
Maybe if you drink a wheat killer. It'll do that too,
I mean by that line of thinking. But you know,
Donald Trump loves his junk food, he loves his fast food,
he loves his sodas, and yeah, I mean he has
a diet coke button in the office.

Speaker 4 (19:37):
Yeah, I heard about that, hurt. It's like a big
red button and whenever he presses it, you have to
come in running with a diet soda.

Speaker 1 (19:42):
All right.

Speaker 3 (19:43):
Now, the Supreme courtas has also ruled, as we know
about these tariffs that Donald Trump implemented, that he overstepped
his authority in doing that.

Speaker 1 (19:52):
And so now starting on Monday, they are doing it.

Speaker 3 (19:55):
They are going to implement a system to make sure
they refund people for those tariffs.

Speaker 1 (20:00):
This is going to be a mess.

Speaker 4 (20:01):
I think it's going to be a mess, but I think,
you know, it might you know, individual people might be
able to go get it right, because we if you've
got something from overseas, maybe by FedEx or DHL, you
saw those price increases, you might be able to now
go back to DHL or our fed X and get
a refund.

Speaker 1 (20:17):
Well, it's going to be interesting to see how they
do this.

Speaker 3 (20:19):
But they're going to launch this system, like I said
on Monday, And by the way, they're supposed to be
issuing refunds to American importers for one hundred and sixty
six billion dollars that the company's paid in tariffs. So
they're going to consolidate refunds so importers will get one
electronic payment with interest when applicable, rather than processing refunds

(20:42):
on an entry by entry basis. So I don't know
if that is for the average person, because then what
about us, Like when we paid to get something. I
remember I bought like a pair of sweatpants. I was like, Oh,
these are cute and they're not expensive. They were like
thirty something dollars, and then when it got here, it
was like, in order for us to release this, you
have to pay forty something dollars in terriff.

Speaker 4 (21:02):
I was like, what that is amazing. I mean, but
I do know that FedEx and DHL are in fact
suing the federal government. The expectation is that once they
win that lawsuit that they're gonna be able to distribute
those proceeds to the individuals. So I think we're gonna
have to wait a little while to kind of this
whole thing to work itself.

Speaker 3 (21:18):
Out and taxes to do today. I just want to
put that out there. It's tax day.

Speaker 1 (21:23):
File guys, even if.

Speaker 3 (21:25):
You don't have the money, if you owe money, but
make sure you file for an extension if you need to,
because the worst thing you can do is nothing. Right,
all right, Well that is you're under the radar, and
we do have the way it mixed for you. At
the top of the hour plus it is a wealth Wednesday,
we have Candide Holy Fail Parker joining us.

Speaker 1 (21:40):
She is the seven figure spot chick and she's gonna
let you know.

Speaker 3 (21:43):
She's the CEO of SPA Boss Tribe and her clients
have generated more than forty million dollars in revenue using
her marketing blueprints.

Speaker 1 (21:52):
Wow, yes, love it. It's way up.

Speaker 2 (21:54):
Don't she about to blow the lead above this spot?
Let's get it? Oh, angelus billing that yet, come and
get it?

Speaker 3 (22:01):
Yeah, it's what but Angela yee, it's me and fred
Mwanga gahanga And let's get into this yet now, media takeout?

Speaker 1 (22:08):
Yeah, that's you. That's that stance and Fred m stance
and media takeout. I just want to be Claire.

Speaker 3 (22:14):
This story came from you it came from us and
Nicki Minaj hiding a secret pregnancy.

Speaker 4 (22:20):
Yeah, so we can't say for certain that that's what's
going on, but we did speak to two people that
are close to Nicki and her camp, and they both
suspect that Nicki Minaj is pregnant.

Speaker 3 (22:31):
Okay, well, if so, then prayers to her for a
safe and healthy pregnancy and delivery. If that is in
fact true, But you don't. It's something you've heard. It's
not confirmed, right.

Speaker 4 (22:42):
We haven't yet been able to confirm it, but the
two people are very they they're they're convinced that.

Speaker 3 (22:47):
Okant, all right, We're gonna see Papa Bear might be
a big brother, all right now?

Speaker 1 (22:54):
And other Nicki Minaj's news.

Speaker 3 (22:56):
Uh, the song that she has with Justin Bieber, Beauty
and a Beat, has risen to number one on the
global Spotify chart for the first time, and it's nearly
fourteen years after that song was released.

Speaker 4 (23:07):
Finally, how many number ones does Nicki Minas have there?

Speaker 3 (23:12):
And listen, Justin Bieber just did Coachella and so here
is a snippet in case you haven't heard that.

Speaker 1 (23:17):
Song music.

Speaker 12 (23:34):
Claws Cam.

Speaker 1 (23:37):
Okay, well, that's the number one song, I gotta say.
You gotta love Nikki, You've got to all right.

Speaker 3 (23:43):
Now, Mark Zuckerberg is overseeing the creation of a three
D animated avatar of himself, okay, and that's going to
be trained on his voice, his mannerisms, and how he thinks,
and that is going to talk to staff.

Speaker 4 (23:57):
Interesting. I mean, he went from the metaverse now he's
going kind of like full AI.

Speaker 8 (24:02):
No.

Speaker 3 (24:02):
Companies like open Ai and Google are investing heavily in
AI systems that can mimic human communication and decision making.
So the issue is not whether AI versions of executives
will exist, it's how companies will use them. As they're
getting rid of so many people. Snapchat is laying off people,
and AI is the reason for that.

Speaker 4 (24:21):
I mean, it's a scary world. When you start, you're
starting to hear that like you might have an AI CEO, right,
or an executive you.

Speaker 1 (24:27):
Don't even got to show up to work, right, sheesh?
I know that can't happen here.

Speaker 3 (24:32):
They already said, look, I hear is like real humans,
and they stress that that's right, all right. Adam Sandler,
Eddie Murphy, and Chris Rock are supporting their kids, all
their kids are in this Netflix movie Roommates that actually
comes out on Friday.

Speaker 4 (24:46):
I can't wait to see it.

Speaker 3 (24:47):
Sadie Sandler stars in the movie along with Zara Rock
and Bella Murphy.

Speaker 2 (24:51):
Wow.

Speaker 3 (24:52):
Talk about some cute celebrity kids getting together and being
in a movie that's dope. Great look and imagine that
three of them get to come together and support these kids.
Here's the trailer in case you haven't seen it.

Speaker 5 (25:03):
This is My Roommates to Last.

Speaker 2 (25:06):
And this is me If I seem traumatized, because I am.
I was wondering what the process is for switching roommates?
Is that my brawn underwear.

Speaker 1 (25:15):
I'm having a problem with boundaries. I would appreciate if
you didn't lit in my bed. That is an incredibly
fair request. Having roommates could be tough. This is like
it's gonna be funny.

Speaker 3 (25:30):
And lastly, Katy Perry is being investigated by police in
Australia all because of these allegations that Ruby Rose made
these sexual allegations that she went on social media and
you know, said that Katy Perry assaulted her. Now, according
to Katy Perry's rep she said the allegations being circulated
on social media by Ruby Rose about Katy Perry are

(25:52):
not only categorically false, they are dangerous, reckless lies. And
so I'm not sure what's gonna happen with these allegations,
but they are investigating now. The manager of the club
in Australia has spoken out and he said that he
was there when this happened, more than fifteen years ago.

Speaker 1 (26:10):
He remembers them being there.

Speaker 3 (26:11):
He did not see the alleged incident, but he did
say that both Ruby Rose and Katy Perry were having
too much to drink that night and they did leave,
but they were fine with each other when they left
the club.

Speaker 1 (26:23):
That's all we know.

Speaker 4 (26:24):
I think it's important to have an investigation. I mean,
if the assault happened, I think Katy Perry should be
held accountable. But if it didn't, then Ruby Rose is
making this up, then I think she should be held accountable.
So I think the investigation is definitely wanted.

Speaker 3 (26:35):
All right, Well that is your yee tee when we
come back, ask ye any question, any advice that you need.
Me and Fred are here to help friends like oh,
here we go. Give that legal advice eight hundred nine
two fifty one fifty. If you have a question, Fred,
and I are going to help you out. That's eight
hundred two nine two fifty one to fifteen.

Speaker 6 (26:53):
Relationship with career advice. Angelo's dropping facts. So you should
know this is Askee.

Speaker 3 (26:58):
What's up his way up at inn Like, Yeah, it's
me and my guy Fred, Am here and listen. We
have an ask ye on the line. Her name is
Taylor and she went through a horrific experience while giving
birth to her third child.

Speaker 1 (27:10):
The hospital did not respect her wishes at all.

Speaker 11 (27:13):
So I didn't have my baby last year in September.
But the day that I've had the baby, I was
very adamant about not wanting blood, but there was one
to respect it if it was a religious thing. But
once I ask cancer that it wasn't, she had me
signed way verse name.

Speaker 5 (27:27):
Then I denied getting blood.

Speaker 11 (27:29):
But twenty minutes later come back if the something was
going on. I was like, we're gonna have to take
your uterus what like, I'm trying to understand why she
was saying that. After that, I explained that I did
not want a epidirl with setanol. Well, I didn't know
what was seton on. Actually, I just told him I
didn't want that practice as the girl. Then once again
they was like, well, if you don't take this one,

(27:50):
you're gonna have to get a sea section. I've been
very adamant about not wanting to sea sections.

Speaker 5 (27:55):
I basically odeed.

Speaker 11 (27:56):
I'm settin off in the hospital nurse reactions. The nurse
it for me that she knew I was having emergant
reaction for several hours before having a full blown OD
while filled in active labor.

Speaker 7 (28:08):
Oh my gosh.

Speaker 11 (28:09):
After they reversed my OD of the fatanl they started
comping me full of other medications. I even was hit
by one of the verses, and that was my third child.
I was literally incoherent. Me and my daughter pretty much
did not come fully too until a couple of days later.

Speaker 12 (28:28):
I was horlos.

Speaker 1 (28:29):
I cannot believe all of this happened to you.

Speaker 11 (28:31):
No, say, we'll sit here and just I'm sorry.

Speaker 1 (28:35):
It's okay, girl, it is fine. Please let it out.

Speaker 8 (28:38):
I hate talking about it because you took something from me.

Speaker 7 (28:42):
You took something that was dreadful for me, my daughters,
this world.

Speaker 1 (28:46):
I want to ask you a couple of questions.

Speaker 3 (28:48):
First of all, you know it's a Black Maternal Health Week,
and I do want to say tomorrow, we are actually
gonna have uh, the director of the Ebony Canal on,
which is an amazing documentary about black women and dealing
with giving birth. Like you said, it should have been
a joyful experience. And we also have the founder of
the Earth app. I don't know, have you ever heard
of the Earth App? No, it's irth and it's all

(29:12):
about making sure that doctors, nurses, hospitals are accountable. It's
kind of like a yelp for hospitals and doctors and
nurses where you can go on there and leave a
review for other people, for black women in particular, because
this has been such an ongoing issue of being mistreated
during pregnancy, after pregnancy, you know, while giving birth, and

(29:35):
it sounds like you had a horrific experience. I know
you said you don't want to pursue or you didn't
want to pursue any type of legal recourse, but are
you considering perhaps changing your mind about that?

Speaker 4 (29:47):
Absolutely, you think about what this hospital did to you,
They may do that to another young mother a lot
of times. The only way to get them to change
their actions is by taking these yes actions.

Speaker 3 (29:58):
You can file a complaint and you can do that
against the hospital and specific staff members, and you can,
you know, consider talking to a lawyer about filing a lawsuit.

Speaker 4 (30:07):
Yeah, and I know a lot of times people are
wondering where would you get a lawyer. You can go
to your local cities bar association and you look up
they have a medical malpractice They usually have a list
of medical malpractice attorneys that are on there. Or you
can contact someone from your bar association and they'd be
happy to send you to a lawyer that could help

(30:28):
you with this.

Speaker 3 (30:28):
All right, well, listen, let's keep in contact because if
there's any way we can support, we would love to.

Speaker 1 (30:33):
Yes, thank you so much.

Speaker 5 (30:34):
I really appreciate you guys.

Speaker 3 (30:36):
Thank you all right, Well that was ask ye eight
hundred two nine two fifty one fifty and thanks for that.

Speaker 1 (30:41):
Fred.

Speaker 3 (30:41):
That's great advice for her to figure out what kind
of legal steps she can take. And when we come back,
it is a Wealth Wednesday, so we do have Candice
holy Fail Parker joining us.

Speaker 1 (30:51):
She is the executive producer of Spot Tank.

Speaker 3 (30:54):
She one Mentor of the Year and International Influencer of
the Year at the Skin Games last year, but she's
also a mentor thousands of entrepreneurs and we're going to
help you out too. It's way up wealthy, and I
don't mind sharing my wealth dog getting you straight financially,
mentally and physically.

Speaker 2 (31:11):
This is wealth Wednesday on way up with Angela.

Speaker 8 (31:13):
Ye.

Speaker 1 (31:14):
What's up?

Speaker 3 (31:14):
It's way up with Angela yee, And it's a wealth Wednesday.
And excited to have Candice Holyfield Parker here with me today.
How you feeling so so full of gratis wood? Listen,
you have an amazing steria and I want to make
sure we get to it. But you've done a great
job as far as mentoring people who want to be
in the spy business.

Speaker 1 (31:31):
So let's talk about what it is that you do.

Speaker 7 (31:33):
Yeah.

Speaker 13 (31:34):
So I've had a spot for sixteen years. Let's still
have a spot today. And everybody who worked for me
made six figures. I didn't know I would be mentoring anybody.
I didn't even know I had the capability to mentor anybody.
And then I moved to Atlanta and I was still
doing massages, right, but everybody who I massage.

Speaker 5 (31:50):
Was like crazy rich.

Speaker 13 (31:51):
I'm like, I don't know something here, And everybody made
money with their minds and not their hands. And I
only knew how to make money with my hands, right,
And I was like, how can I make money with
my mind? And then that's how it started my mentorship program.
And I had made multi six figures as well, but
that's really how it kind of came about.

Speaker 1 (32:07):
Yeah, you're a multi hyphen in it because I mean,
you have so many things that you do.

Speaker 3 (32:10):
But I also want to talk about the journey that
you had, because it wasn't necessarily smooth, no, to get
to where you are.

Speaker 1 (32:17):
There were definitely some setbacks.

Speaker 3 (32:19):
And I know you've said previously that a lot of
times people show your highlight reil.

Speaker 1 (32:24):
But they don't see what it took for you to
get to where you are.

Speaker 3 (32:26):
Exactly in the early stages, how did you structure your business?

Speaker 13 (32:31):
To be honest, I was in survival mode. I wasn't
structuring anything. I was literally trying to feed my children.
And this was eleven years ago. But what happened is
we didn't have Instagram Live yet, we didn't have TikTok
any of those things. We used to have a one
hundred conference call and so I would post on my
social media. I was like, hey, y'all, you know, if
you're inspired joining me on T one hundred conference call,

(32:51):
let me show you how to make some money with groupon,
and people from around the country just started coming on
the conference call, and I would do it every day.

Speaker 5 (32:58):
I feel like another thing with entreneur they don't do stuff.

Speaker 13 (33:01):
Every day or schedule. I did it every day, and
I still do an event every week eleven years later. Wow,
every week I have an event where it's virtual in person.

Speaker 3 (33:10):
Right now I'm talking to Cannas totly Fell Parker. She
is the CEO of spy Bus Tribe and has mentioned
thousands of entrepreneurs nationwide.

Speaker 1 (33:17):
Why do people need a mentor when it comes to
my saus. I want you to talk about that because.

Speaker 3 (33:22):
Sometimes people feel like they have to do things on
their own, and I wonder know if you've had any
mentors too.

Speaker 13 (33:27):
First, I want to tell everybody, when we know better,
we do better. I feel like when we get in
bees and some people then I went to Bastin school.
It didn't help me in my busin stuff, but I
did go to Basin School. But I feel like people
just to say they want to be an entrepreneur, but
they don't go to bes In school, so they don't
know that you need a teacher, a mentor, a coach.
I started my business. I didn't get it my first
mentor until maybe six years after, because I didn't even

(33:48):
know I needed one.

Speaker 5 (33:48):
Nobody told me that.

Speaker 13 (33:50):
And my first business culture was the Goham University. Sabrina
changed my life, but I've had a lot done. The
Winningham Women's CEO Project, Corrie or Mayle, Elliott is Leo
Dave is Audrey Richmond.

Speaker 5 (34:00):
I was probably twent like half a million dollars on
Wow Mentorship.

Speaker 3 (34:04):
Right because I want people listening to understand the importance
of that and how that actually has benefited you.

Speaker 1 (34:10):
Spending that money is an investment.

Speaker 5 (34:12):
Oh change my life. I tell people all the time.

Speaker 13 (34:14):
The quickest way to suciss to get something, get around
somebody who already has sussists.

Speaker 5 (34:18):
Every time I'm around them, I'll get better.

Speaker 3 (34:19):
Candace toly Pail Parker is here with us. She is
the seventh figure spy check and we have more with
her when we come back.

Speaker 1 (34:26):
It's way Up. I had a dream of wealthy, and
I don't mind sharing.

Speaker 6 (34:29):
My wealth dog getting you straight financially, mentally and physically.
This is wealth Wednesday on Way Up with Angela Ye.

Speaker 3 (34:36):
What's up his way up with Angela Yee Happy Wealth Wednesday,
we got Candace toly fail Parker here with us the
seven figure spy check. Can you tell us some of
your success stories just so people can understand the tangible
successes that.

Speaker 5 (34:48):
Have had My god, one lady I met.

Speaker 13 (34:50):
When I met her, she was back in twenty thousand.
Now she's just sixty thousand. Okay, one lady I met her,
she was at eight. She just had a twenty seven
k month. One of my clients she got a million
dollar awards. She's over one point five million dollars. Has
worked on me and hurts by business, even myself. I
just went to massage school. I didn't know anything about business.
I got on Groupon. I made over a three hundred k.

Speaker 1 (35:09):
How do you make money on Groupon? I don't even
know how that works.

Speaker 5 (35:12):
So Groupon is a discounting system.

Speaker 13 (35:16):
So some people, depending on their brand, they feel like, hey,
if I do this Groupon, I'm devaluing my brand and
it's for me. You need to get on Groupon because
Groupon has one of the largest search in it. Like,
you might don't have a budget to pay for Google ads,
but Groupon paying for Google Ads.

Speaker 5 (35:30):
Okay, so now that your business is on there.

Speaker 13 (35:31):
Guess what, you automatically getting your Google ads and you
didn't put that money up front for that. So groupon
what I do is I help everybody take what you have,
but not devaluing your brand because you need the visibility
so you can at least get the inquiries and then
we go through customer journey and turn it into a seal.
Groupon time my life as well. I made up a
three hundred thousand dollars on Groupon. I didn't know anybody.

(35:52):
I didn't have a marketing budget. I made so much
money on Groupon I didn't need it anymore. I became
their first black influencer.

Speaker 1 (35:58):
Wow, like telling other people.

Speaker 5 (36:00):
Yeah, but that was way after.

Speaker 13 (36:01):
I wasn't even on Groupon anymore when I got the
brand deal and I was telling people about Groupon and
helping them get on there and helping them make money.

Speaker 3 (36:07):
You know, I've always seen people say such amazing positive
things about you and experiences that they've had with you
and the words that you've gotten.

Speaker 5 (36:15):
What is next for you?

Speaker 1 (36:17):
Like, where do you see this business growing?

Speaker 13 (36:19):
We're about to have an eight black Spot Expo. I'm
launching black Spy Week, so you know how to have
like restaurant. We have Black Spy Week, So I'm launching
Black Spy Week. I'm super excited about that. That's going
to be in September. I'm going to write a new book.
It's called a Deep Wrist because I have to take
a deep risk after working for a decade, right, I
lost their money and I like just re change my

(36:41):
whole life, reinventing myself, like everything just a brund new
up right now.

Speaker 5 (36:45):
And it has nothing to do with money.

Speaker 1 (36:46):
Right, because you're the author. You have how many books
out right, I have a lot.

Speaker 5 (36:49):
Of y'all got like thirty real years.

Speaker 3 (36:51):
So there has to be a great satisfaction when people
are successful after going through your mentorship and you you
are also transforming lives at the same time.

Speaker 5 (37:01):
Yeah, because we don't want people to say that we're
not humble.

Speaker 13 (37:04):
And I'm like, I'm just really proud on myself, like
from being from it for Tennessee, moving to Atlanta, making money.
I'm on my third life, losing pretty much almost everything,
rebuilding it back three times, still serving people, still happy
people like I'm really My marriage is like, oh my god,
so amazing. If anybody is married, Oh my gosh, shout

(37:24):
out to auto married people like I'm partner, I'm so
happily married.

Speaker 3 (37:28):
Well, listen, how can people find you if they need
to find you and just sign up for mentorships.

Speaker 13 (37:34):
My biggest residence is Instagram, so that's seven figure spot cheek.

Speaker 3 (37:39):
Well, thank you so much, Cannis. I'm glad we finally
were able to make this happen. I know you'll be
back again too. Yeah, and I'm excited to go to
the Spot and I'm excited for black Spot Week.
