for me to branch out.
Speaker 2 (00:32):
Well, we're gonna see, we're gonna see. It's also a
wealth Wednesday, and my girl, Tiffany the Budget Nissa is
going to be here Get Good with Money. Her book
is available in paperback starting today.
Speaker 1 (00:45):
Amazing book.
Speaker 2 (00:46):
It gives you all the stuff that you need to
do to get out of debt, to make sure you
take care of your estate planning. She talks about her
own issues that she had very transparently, you know, going
into foreclosure on her first condom, getting scammed. All those
touches been through it. But that's how you know you
come out on the other side and help others. But anyway,
(01:07):
let's get the show started with some love and some positivity.
Speaker 1 (01:09):
Let's shine a light eight hundred and.
Speaker 2 (01:11):

supposed to be closing out when she's done, and unfortunately
she got sick uh yesterday and her team confirmed that
(01:54):
she was taken to a New York City hospital.
Speaker 1 (01:56):
Doctors are evaluating her condition.
Speaker 2 (01:58):
The show did continue after they have to stop it
for that to happen, but I see her team is
praying for her. Her best friend shared a message asking
fans to keep her in their prayers that we don't
have details on what happened, but everybody is worried about it,
so we want to make sure we send her some love,
some strength, and some healing. Right now, we don't know
what type of sickness this is, but yeah, that's not
(02:21):
an easy thing. And for it to be so publicly,
like you're on stage and then they have to stop
the show.
Speaker 6 (02:26):
Wow.
Speaker 2 (02:27):
And I'm sure that's not nothing that she ever would
have wanted to happen, especially at that time. So I'm
praying that she pushes through and that she's going to
be Okay. Now, don who do you want to shine
a light.
Speaker 7 (02:39):

there were celebrities in her DM that were flirting with her.

about losing her virginity.

Speaker 1 (04:50):
Man, all right.
Speaker 2 (04:51):
Now. Lizzo recently had a conversation on the Friends Keep
Secrets podcast, and that's you know, Benny Blanco Dicky, and
she was asked about who the craziest person to ever
slide in her dms was, and here's what she said.
Speaker 1 (05:07):
Every single don't say Rapper.
Speaker 8 (05:09):
Why not because you didn't.
Speaker 1 (05:11):
I didn't find that all of them.
Speaker 9 (05:14):
I grew up a big girl, and I grew up
like guys didn't like me like that, and I started
getting these dms that were I was confused. I was like,
I don't even know what this person's intention is. I
thought it was all friendly and people had to tell me, hey, no,
this person is trying to you.
Speaker 1 (05:31):
I was like, what, Wow, Okay, you know what.
Speaker 2 (05:34):
The I guess left over from her feeling like people
were not wanting to date her or feeling like she
wasn't attractive. She didn't even catch that, you know, because
so I love the fact that she's so confident in everything.
But one thing she also talked about was being a
late bloomer and actually lying about not being a virgin.
Speaker 1 (05:55):
Here's what she said.
Speaker 3 (05:56):
I was a late.
Speaker 9 (05:57):
Bloomer TWI I lied about it for a long time.
I want to just tell you the year twenty. It
was like I just promised myself when I was younger
that I wouldn't have sex until I want a Grammy.
Speaker 3 (06:09):
So she just had sex in twenty twenty, yeah, six
years ago.
Speaker 2 (06:12):
And she said, and by the way, yeah in her
thirties thirty one, I would say, But she got three
awards that night, So I wonder if she did it
three times.
Speaker 1 (06:21):
That you gotta go, right, because.
Speaker 3 (06:24):
She wait thirty five to have sex.
Speaker 2 (06:26):
Thirty one, I think, yeah, you should try it. It's
too late now, delete you can what would you delete
a lot? Yeah new mayn No, all you're gonna do
is get some type of plastic surgery and then you
can delete it.

You had a new body, all right Now.
Speaker 2 (06:50):
Beyonce's Cowboy Carter to Our Concert film is coming to
Disney Plus. That's going to be on May first, and
the first teaser for it is out right now here.
Speaker 1 (06:59):
It is.
Speaker 6 (07:00):
It just reminds me of who I really am. Yes,
I have nothing to prove to anyone at this point.
Nobody can take that away from me.
Speaker 2 (07:18):
Okay, boy, it looks good already. When you watch the trailer.
I mean Beyonce is a full on production. I would
say Cardi b her tour looks like a full on
production similar to that. All right, well that is your Yet,
when we come back, we have about last night where
we'll discuss what we did last night.
Speaker 1 (07:34):
I feel like you told me you were watching something.
Did you say that?
Speaker 2 (07:38):
I also want to find out what's going on with
all this stuff that you claim you're going solo Beyonce. Okay,
all right, Well, when we come back about last night,
it's way up.
Speaker 5 (07:51):
So about last night I went down, Yeah, it's way up.
Speaker 1 (07:58):
At Angela yee.
Speaker 3 (07:59):
I'm yeah.
Speaker 1 (08:01):
What were you doing last night?
Speaker 3 (08:02):
Going solo? What is this even in the studio last night?
Speaker 4 (08:06):
But I was, okay, I'm going solo, man, you know,
so I sent in my resignation, resignation to let's rap
about it.
Speaker 2 (08:14):
I don't even believe that. Why not now, Jim Jones
said you had gotten sensitive? What happened?
Speaker 4 (08:19):
I can't keep playing Poles. I don't want to play Poles.
I don't know how to play Poles. I'm playing a
game that I never signed up for.
Speaker 3 (08:25):
Yeah, okay, I'm not. I'm not. I talked too crazy.
Speaker 1 (08:30):
So it's gonna happen with the pause mano.
Speaker 3 (08:32):
Page, I don't know. Well, here's the thing.
Speaker 4 (08:35):
They might they gonna keep it because I'm gonna be
on my own podcast saying what I want to say.
Speaker 1 (08:39):
Okay, we can still pause you though, it's not gonna
be the same.
Speaker 2 (08:43):
Well, yesterday, it's pretty nice out the weather for these
past couple of days, which we've been yearning for here
in New York City, so there was a lot of activity,
and one of my friends who lives near me was
saying that she was playing some music and her neighbor
came from upstairs and banging on a door and asked
it to turn it down?
Speaker 1 (09:01):
What yes? And she said it was four o'clock. Is
that crazy?
Speaker 3 (09:05):
Four o'clock in the morning?
Speaker 1 (09:06):
No, in the afternoon.
Speaker 2 (09:08):
She said she was studying and if you could please her.
And so I was thinking, right, because gentrification is a
real thing. It was a white lady, yeah, And I
was just wondering in a situation like that because I
was trying to Her husband actually came to the door
and handled it and was nice because she would have
probably not been as nice.
Speaker 3 (09:29):
What did he say?
Speaker 2 (09:30):
I don't know what he said, but she didn't turn
the music down. But what are you do in that situation?
Speaker 1 (09:35):
As four?
Speaker 2 (09:36):
I could see if it was four in the morning,
of course, like somebody asked it. And I also can
appreciate somebody not calling the police and coming and be like, hey,
would you mind? You know, but it also is kind
of like, I mean, is it that serious.
Speaker 4 (09:49):
Four o'clock lady? You're either gonna listen? Matter of fact,
do you want to come in and listen to music
with us?
Speaker 2 (09:54):
It might make it turn it up even louder, absolutely,
But you know, I was just thinking about, like dealing
with Nate, and the weather is getting better.
Speaker 1 (10:02):
My block is fun and active in the summer too.
I don't know if.
Speaker 3 (10:05):
It's full block with the bikes.
Speaker 1 (10:07):
Yeah, it's fun. I don't mind. I'm from Brooklyn.
Speaker 2 (10:10):
When you not, when you move someplace, you got to understand,
like it's active outside in certain neighborhood. You can't come
and take it over and try to act like people
can't be outside. It's got to be quiet. I sympathize
you have a baby, and sympathize if it's late at
night and all of that, but you got to figure
out how to deal with people.
Speaker 3 (10:27):
Turn the music bug. It's four o'clock, all right.
Speaker 2 (10:30):
Well, anyway, when we come back, it's time for tell
us a secret. Maybe you're that neighbor that actually goes
today nine one one stop.
Speaker 3 (10:36):
I didn't realize it.
Speaker 2 (10:38):
Well, maybe you're that person that's the one that's the
negative nancy on the block, that gentrifier that's doing whatever
behind the scenes. Eight hundred two nine two fifty one fifty.
It's a no judgment zone today. You know, Mayno's not
going to judge you never, never, never, it's not gonna happen.
Eight hundred two nine two fifty one fifty. You're anonymous.
It's a no judgment zone. Call us up, tell us
(10:59):

Judgment on twenty eight. I feel like I got an
obsession with older women.
Speaker 1 (11:23):
I ain't gonna lie like how much older?
Speaker 11 (11:25):
No older than fifty?
Speaker 1 (11:27):
Okay. I when did that start? I wonder what that's about?
Speaker 10 (11:30):
Thought them.
Speaker 11 (11:30):
I was like twenty three.
Speaker 12 (11:33):
Man.
Speaker 5 (11:33):
Then I make this older woman she was like forty something.
Speaker 11 (11:35):
She don't put it on me, man.
Speaker 1 (11:37):
So every since then I just been you're just chasing

no judgment.
Speaker 13 (12:08):
My neighbor had.
Speaker 12 (12:09):
Like a couple of cats that would not say off.
For my part, I've asked.
Speaker 1 (12:13):
The numerous times.
Speaker 8 (12:14):
You know, one day I just like decided to put
just a little bit of.
Speaker 10 (12:17):
Ever freeze in the catfook.
Speaker 8 (12:20):
I didn't know that they was gonna die.
Speaker 12 (12:22):
But when I came in from work, they was laying
in the grass.
Speaker 3 (12:25):
How many cats?
Speaker 10 (12:27):
How many cats?
Speaker 12 (12:28):

Speaker 3 (12:29):
Oh, you killed the cat family.
Speaker 9 (12:31):

Speaker 1 (12:32):
That is very sad.
Speaker 3 (12:33):

Speaker 3 (12:36):
What you thought was gonna happen? Because that's a business cats?
Speaker 4 (12:40):
So you foul or I'm gonna be honest with you,
And I feel like you laughing. I feel like you
haven't repented for your sins.
Speaker 1 (12:46):
Did you at least feel bad?
Speaker 12 (12:48):
No, I don't feel bad because like they already kissing
at me.
Speaker 8 (12:51):
I feel bad about you.
Speaker 4 (12:53):
No, you know you know what's gonna happen to you.
Cats will haunt you for the rest of your.
Speaker 2 (12:58):
Life, and you know cats, cats have nine lives.
Speaker 1 (13:04):
Would you do it again?
Speaker 10 (13:06):

Speaker 7 (13:07):
The woman was laying I was like, oh.
Speaker 14 (13:09):
My god, what have I done?
Speaker 1 (13:11):
All right, thanks for calling again.
Speaker 2 (13:14):
Well, just so you know, that is a criminal act
intentionally killing, wounding, torturing, or poisoning a cat, and there
are potential felony conviction.
Speaker 1 (13:22):
You can even go to jail for Yeah, So just
letting y'all know that that was awful.
Speaker 3 (13:28):
I love cats.
Speaker 2 (13:29):
I would have easily and they probably were hissing because
they felt her spirit. All right, Well that was tell
us a secret that wouldn't hurt me. You hurt when
we come back. We have your yee t. Let's talk
about Little Jerky has issued a message to his fans
about what's going on in his life right now and
what he thinks the future looks like for him.
Speaker 1 (13:49):
It's way up.
Speaker 5 (13:51):
Angels, come and get your tea.
Speaker 1 (13:54):
It's way up. But angela, ye, come here with my
guy man man.
Speaker 2 (13:59):
And of course, to reports in Memphis Fox thirteen Memphis,
Poush Shisty's home in Cardova, Tennessee, was the site of
an FBI raid this morning. According to reports, neighbors were
awoken by flashbangs loud voices. According to what the news
is saying, the FBI went into the home, where they
executed a federal court authorized search and arrest warrant. Now
(14:22):
that home is under Pooh Shaisty's name, and both he
and his father share that name, so we're not clear
on whether or not this house is under his name
or his dad's name, but we'll keep you updated. I'm
glad they don't know that this actually happened just this morning,
so literally like a couple hours ago. Yes, Mick mill
(14:44):
recently posted on his page groupie is a terrible word.
We love the girls who show us love. I agree, Yeah,
I also I know this is weird. I also kind
of don't love the word fan. I mean, I'll say
I'm a fan something, but when he's like, oh, I
have all these fans.
Speaker 1 (15:02):
I don't know why you.
Speaker 4 (15:03):
Shouldn't say it, but I like when people come up
to you and say can I have a picture, and
then preface that with by.
Speaker 3 (15:08):
Saying, but I'm not a groupie. Though.
Speaker 4 (15:10):
You know it's cool to just be a fan, right, Yeah,
you gotta say you not a groupie. Nobody put you
in a Groopie sentence.
Speaker 2 (15:17):
Now, I do want to say right now, there's a
lot going on in the news for April Fool's Day
and a lot of fake stories. So for everybody looking
on social media, just do not get fooled, because I've
been seeing that He's like what what? Like I saw
a report that the Jay z Yankee Stadium concert has
been canceled. Really, I know that's a April Fools Like, Yes,
I do.
Speaker 1 (15:36):
They definitely dotted.
Speaker 2 (15:39):
All their eyes and crossed all their teasers. They have
all answers ready for this. And speaking of rock Nation,
John Legend has signed a management deal with rock Nation.
Speaker 1 (15:48):
He's parted ways with.
Speaker 2 (15:49):
His longtime manager and doing so he has this new
deal now. According to a statement from his former manager,
twenty years is a lifetime in this business. And I'm
proud of the work John and I did together that
was rooted in creativity, trust, love and ambition. I'm energized
by what's ahead for both of us as I passed
the music management button to Jay Brown and Rock Nation.
(16:10):
I continue to be John's partner and the many for
profit and nonprofit ventures we built together in John's biggest champion.
Speaker 1 (16:17):
So looks like.
Speaker 2 (16:18):
That's a very amicable departure. Your manager is I guess,
gonna still be working with you in a different way.
And Rock Nation is taking care of management all right.
Tiger Woods is seeking treatment after his DUI ars. He
broke his silence about what happened. He said, I know
and understand the seriousness of the situation I find myself
in today. I am stepping away for a period of
(16:40):
time to seek treatment and focus on my health. This
is necessary in order for me to prioritize my well
being and work toward lasting recovery. I'm committed to taking
the time needed to return in a healthier, stronger, and
more focused place. So he entered a not guilty plea
as he's facing DUI with property damage and refusal to
submit to a time has charges.
Speaker 1 (17:01):
But we saw the video.
Speaker 2 (17:03):
He saw the video of him afterward he said, he
you know, they did find two loose hydro cotone pills
in his pocket, and I don't know what type of
issues he was having.
Speaker 1 (17:14):
But good luck.
Speaker 3 (17:16):
He just wanted to feel good, all right.
Speaker 2 (17:18):
And little Dirk has something that he wants to say
to you from behind bars to all of us, read
dirt Man, Yes and here's what he had to say.
Speaker 10 (17:27):
You know, I just been reading get in to these books,
working on my pages. I've been reading Ponds in the
Game by William Getkar, hug News, Fred Hampton, Lane Brown,
just all the revolutionaries you know who think you saw
him staff or something didn't. Sitting on my heart, lady,
just just stay the generation, bro, say these kids, you
know they'll deserve I've just had to be in a
pawn for the coaches. I want to change the world
(17:48):
around to being positive.
Speaker 1 (17:50):
It's right, Red Man.
Speaker 2 (17:53):
Well you're in there, man, and that is your yet
when we come back, we have under the radar. These
are the stories that may not be in the headlines.
They're flying under the radar.
Speaker 11 (18:02):
Now.
Speaker 1 (18:02):
I know we all saw that viral story about.
Speaker 2 (18:04):
A homeowner in Marylyn who hired some migrants to replace
her roof, and the report is that she called ice
on them. Well, the Feds are saying something different. We'll
tell you what we know so far.
Speaker 5 (18:15):
It's way UPSI in the news that relates to you.
These stories are flying under the radar, all right.
Speaker 1 (18:21):
As way put it into la. Yeah, it's me a
main over right and under.
Speaker 2 (18:25):
The radar story. So did you know that this year,
barbering is one of the highest paying trades. Yes, so
some top barbers are making serious money. The top ten
percent of barbers are making over one hundred thousand dollars
a year. So it makes sense, especially if they're traveling,
because it is no overhead.
Speaker 1 (18:44):
But if you have a shop at.
Speaker 2 (18:45):
The amount of clients that you can have, you can
make as much money as much as you want to
work too. I feel like if you're like, I'm working
this amount of time and it's a pretty flexible schedule,
and being somebody's barber is like being their partnery absolutely
all right. Now, we talked about this story about the
(19:05):
woman in Marylyn who is.
Speaker 1 (19:09):
Has gone viral.
Speaker 2 (19:11):
She was getting her roof fixed and ice came and
took six roofers right before she was about to pay them,
or well clearly not about to pay them. Her name
is Karen Chavino, and witnessers are saying that she threatened
to call Ice if these workers came to collect their money.
According to the law on Maryland, that is extortion. And
there's a viral video that is so sad. You can
(19:32):
see they're on the roof and then she provides the
ladder for ICE to be able to get them to
come down and get off the roof and get taken
into custody.
Speaker 1 (19:42):
Now, these men are from Guatemala.
Speaker 2 (19:43):
They had driven seventy miles from glen Burnie and they
were almost done with the roof and they were supposed
to be paid ten thousand dollars Instead, that's when ICE
agents showed up and the workers were surrounded, taken from
the roof, taken into custody. Even their van was in
the driveway, doors open, all the the supplies were there.
There was one man, however, who was able to document
(20:04):
the whole thing because he is a you know, he's
a US citizen, so he's a permanent US resident.
Speaker 1 (20:10):
He was not detained.
Speaker 2 (20:11):
Brian Planko is his name, but he did watch everything
and recorded everything and live streamed on March twenty third,
and he has since shown all of that. And he
told witnesses that the woman Travino had threatened to report
the workers to immigration authorities if they returned to finish
the job or collect payment. And he said there's a
pervasive sense of persecution among Hispanics in the US, and
(20:35):
seeing it is not the same as experience it now
she's saying she didn't make the call, she told the
Baltimore son the accusations were false, and that she is
scared for her family's safety amid the public backlash. But
it does feel like too much of a coincidence that
ICE was targeting these individuals and then happened to show
up right when they were finishing this job. So we
shall see what happens after this. But according to the
(20:58):
law in Maryland, that is illegal. The labor of a
human being does not become free simply because that human
being is undocumented. That is literally a law in Maryland.
All right, Well that.
Speaker 15 (21:09):
Is isn't that awful when when I tell you I
watched that video and I felt so yeah, I think
we also well that it went so viral, But yes,
that is your under the radar.
Speaker 2 (21:25):
One last thing in Maryland, they're trying to make a
law where ICE agents can't wear masks anymore. They're banning
them from wearing masks. So, uh, that will be I
think something positive. All right, when we come back, we
have your way up mix at the top of the hour.
Plus it's a wealth Wednesday, so the budget NISA is
going to be here with us Tiffany Alice. She's got
her book Get Good with Money available in paperback starting today.
Speaker 1 (21:49):
It's way up.
Speaker 2 (21:51):
She's like the chout, like the Angel Jean, like they
Angel Jean.
Speaker 5 (21:54):
And she's spilling it all. This is yeaty way.
Speaker 1 (21:58):
Up, all right, his way up at angela yee. I'm
here with main O.
Speaker 2 (22:05):
But someone who doesn't play the pause game, you know
you ridiculous you play all right? Well, let's talk about
Leslie Jones. Now, she was on with ze Way and
ze Way. I mean, this is quite an interesting conversation.
They had the full interview, but one thing that Leslie
Jones said during this was that she believes that marriage
(22:26):
is legal slavery.
Speaker 1 (22:27):
Here's what she said.
Speaker 3 (22:28):
I think marriage is legalized slavery.
Speaker 5 (22:30):
If especially she expecting you to be a trad wife,
just might as well pull out a whip in a chain.
Speaker 16 (22:35):
So there are young people watching who might be wanting
to get married, what would you say to them?
Speaker 3 (22:39):
Don't?
Speaker 1 (22:43):
It's interesting because.
Speaker 2 (22:46):
You know she I don't think she's ever been married,
So I wonder what makes her think that, like marriage
is scary to me? Just because I've seen so many
people get divorced, right and so I'm okay with just
being with somebody forever.
Speaker 1 (22:58):
So I think married and you want to get married.
Speaker 3 (23:01):
I'm getting married. I'm getting married. I'm getting married.
Speaker 4 (23:05):
But I'm gonna set my divorce up ahead of time, Okay, right,
So I'm gonna set up the divorce prior to the marriage.
Speaker 2 (23:14):
How does that work? Because how would your wife feel
about that?
Speaker 3 (23:18):
I mean, don't most marriages in a divorce anyway?
Speaker 1 (23:23):
So when you say you're setting up the divorce, you
mean a prenup? No, are you're or a TV show?
Speaker 3 (23:29):
No, I'm just saying, like we will get divorced, right
all right?
Speaker 2 (23:33):
Now, Country Wayne is somebody who can't wait to get married. Also,
he recently was talking to t I and he was
discussing how you can be a hustler and that can
make you really great at being an artist.
Speaker 1 (23:46):
Listen to what he had to say.
Speaker 14 (23:48):
Most people in business disrespect the artists. Most people are
artists disrespect the business. But I was like, what if
I was all of them, kobybe because like both of
them his art.
Speaker 11 (23:56):
Now.
Speaker 14 (23:56):
I remember going to Jay Z concert and he said,
I'm a hustler.
Speaker 1 (24:00):
He was showing everybody.
Speaker 14 (24:01):
Man, I ain't even no rapper. That means his spirit
been time to tell people that I got good at
a route because I'm a hustler. I've seen in that
little baby once a little baby's seeing that money that
weren't even him rapping no more.
Speaker 3 (24:13):
What do you think about?
Speaker 4 (24:14):
I believe that absolutely having a hustler instinct, you know,
in the drive and that will to do something, Yeah,
you will be better at what you do.
Speaker 3 (24:23):
Absolutely.
Speaker 1 (24:24):
Yeah. I mean the music business is a hustle.
Speaker 2 (24:26):
There are certain people that are so talented, but they'll
never make it because they don't hustle.
Speaker 3 (24:30):
Right, they don't have the instinct, they don't have the drive.
Speaker 1 (24:32):
But there are.
Speaker 2 (24:33):
People who aren't that talented that have hustled. There mast
yes to becoming successful. All right now, Diddy, another release
date has shifted and now the release date is April fifteen,
twenty twenty eight, So that's just another ten days off
of his timeline. He's currently serving a fifty month sentence
for two counts of transportation to engage in prostitution after
(24:56):
being found guilty on those specific charges, while the other
charges he it was acquitted of. So these these dates
are going to continue to change.
Speaker 3 (25:04):
Yeah, he'll be home before that.
Speaker 2 (25:05):
All right, well that is your Yet when we come back,
we have asked ye with the award winning advice giving
you know your plaque is still up there.
Speaker 1 (25:14):
On the wall.
Speaker 3 (25:15):
Yes it is.
Speaker 10 (25:16):
No, I made it.
Speaker 1 (25:17):
Yeah, for the culture. You are appreciated.
Speaker 3 (25:19):
It's right.
Speaker 1 (25:20):
Do you ever get it? It is what it is?
Plaque where it is what it is? I mean, let's
wrap about it.
Speaker 3 (25:27):
So oh no, let's wrap it.
Speaker 4 (25:28):
No, I don't know why I was just thinking about
It's another reason why I left.
Speaker 1 (25:32):
Let's wrap about it.
Speaker 2 (25:33):
I was gonna say, because you need to get them
solo plaques only.
Speaker 3 (25:36):
Yeah, this is what I'm saying. This is why I'm going.
Speaker 2 (25:39):
All right, Well, ask ye is next? Eight hundred two
ninety two fifty one fifty. It's me and Mano.
Speaker 1 (25:44):
We're here.
Speaker 2 (25:45):
He's the award winning advice giving a superstar solo solo
eight hundred two nine two fifty one fifty.
Speaker 1 (25:52):
Ask yee is next?
Speaker 5 (25:53):
Whether it's relationship for career advice, Angela's dropping facts?
Speaker 1 (25:57):
You should know? This is Askee. What's way up at
the Angela?
Speaker 2 (26:01):
Ye is me and Main now and we have a
voice message today and she definitely wants some advice about
a coworker, a white woman, who had some things to
say about her hair and the texture of it when
she changed her style.
Speaker 12 (26:13):
I just recently had a situation with my coworker. She's
an older white lady, and she asked me, oh, why
did you take your hair off? She said that loudly,
and I was like, it was just a different style today,
and she was like, no, it's a different texture. I
told my supervisor about the situation, and I also text
(26:36):
the girl and I don't think anything's gonna happen. But
am I wrong for feeling she was trying to be
funny in that moment or is it just a petty
moment and I should just not care about it, or
was it a micro.
Speaker 1 (26:48):
Repression anything that bothers you.
Speaker 2 (26:51):
I would never say you're wrong and you were wrong
for caring about it. And I think when it comes
to Black women in hair in the workplace and the
world in general, it's always something that we're very particular
about because people feel like they're able to just say
whatever about your hair, touch your hair. It's like being
an animal in the zoo, where they feel like they
(27:11):
can just say and do anything.
Speaker 1 (27:13):
And so I think.
Speaker 2 (27:14):
What you should propose at work is Look, I don't
want to have these issues in the future. I want
to make sure that we can do something where everybody
understands what's appropriate and what's not appropriate. It's amazing to
me that in twenty twenty six that a white woman
at work doesn't understand that she can't be commenting on
a black woman's.
Speaker 1 (27:32):
Hair at work.
Speaker 2 (27:33):
But I want you to feel comfortable. I want you
to also know that you feeling sensitive about that is
not wrong. It's absolutely indicative of so many things that
we've had to endure and take it seriously because if not,
things will continue to happen and it'll make a better
workplace for everybody. And I think if you can approach
a manager or somebody where you can help them understand
(27:56):
how this is something that is going to be beneficial
for everybody in the future and right now, but also
for people to be understanding and empathetic to what it
is that you're going through at work so it doesn't
get swept under the rug. And so I love the
fact that you did stand up for yourself and have
something to say. And as a matter of fact, if
I was you, I would link her to some articles
(28:18):
so she can understand it better and do the work
on herself. All right, Well that is ask ye eight
hundred and two ninety two fifty one fifty. If you
couldn't get through, you could leave a message and ask
me anything that way. And when we come back, it
is a Wealth Wednesday. Tiffany Alichi is going to be
joining us. She is the author of Get Good with Money.
But the paperback is actually out today, the budget Nista.
Speaker 1 (28:39):
It's way up.
Speaker 14 (28:40):
But the dream of wealthy and I don't mind sharing
my wealth dogs.
Speaker 5 (28:43):
Getting you straight financially, mentally and physically. This is Wealth
Wednesday on way up with Angela yee?
Speaker 1 (28:49):
What this way up?
Speaker 9 (28:50):
Mine?
Speaker 1 (28:51):
Angela yee.
Speaker 2 (28:51):
We are having a good time for Wealth Wednesday because
our friend is here.
Speaker 1 (28:54):
Of course, my friend Stacy Tisdale's here too, and.
Speaker 13 (28:57):
We're always so excited to have Tiffany the budget menede,
and we are celebrating a milestone with her. Her Get
Good with Money is now out in paperback today, y'all.
Speaker 2 (29:07):
And I think, in particular right now, what's so important
and timely about this is the economy that we're in
right now.
Speaker 1 (29:13):
So many people are struggling.
Speaker 2 (29:15):
I think They said fifty five percent of Americans are
using their credit card to pay for basic necessities, which
is a huge number of people that are like, got
to keep the.
Speaker 1 (29:25):
Lights on, Well, I don't have the money, but use
my credit card.
Speaker 2 (29:27):
And that's an indication that there are some real there's
a structure in your life financially that is about to collapse.
Speaker 16 (29:34):
Yeah, it used to be before when I started the
budget LISTA that I would look at someone's budget and
be like, now you know, you don't have to get
your lashes and your nails and and your head every
single week, right, And now it's like we're choosing between
bread and eggs. Yeah, you know, people are not frivolous.
That's not the result exactly. It's like that are just
astronomically higher the cost of things, and people are not
(29:54):
making astronomically more.
Speaker 13 (29:56):
Some people are choosing between keeping on their heat or
their electricity.
Speaker 1 (30:00):
How do you pay their rents? And people can't even
pay their rent? How do you help people make those choices?
Speaker 16 (30:06):
There are moments where I call it being broke broke.
I have been there where I had to say, everybody's
not going to get their money right now, and so
if that's the case. Two things you're going to have
to do. You're gonna have to let the people who
are not getting their money. No, Hey, cell phone company,
here's where I am. Hey car note, here's where I am.
And because of the pandemic, there are more programs in
(30:27):
place for when you don't have than before. Sometimes they'll
freeze your payment. Sometimes they can add it on to
the back end. But you don't want to not say anything.
Speaker 1 (30:34):
Right just late in those explanation One.
Speaker 16 (30:37):
Do you have to cut all nonnecessities if you're there already,
then asking yourself if I can't. I've been places when
I'm like, I can't afford everything here. So I work
out a plan for those people who are willing to
work out a plan with me. And then those people
who are like, I'm going to harass you either way,
like say I would start with my credit cards. You know,
then sometimes they'll harass you either way. They don't care,
and so go head down and get you and print
(30:58):
you out a cease.
Speaker 1 (30:59):
And desist letter.
Speaker 16 (31:00):
So if you go to get Good with Money dot com,
there's a toolkit that comes along with the book. It's free,
and the debt chapter. I have a cease and desist
letter because they were calling myself on NonStop.
Speaker 9 (31:10):
Wow.
Speaker 16 (31:10):
They were calling my sisters. They were calling me because
I want to shame you. My dad was like, because
my dad and you're an IP so they're calling my phone.
Speaker 1 (31:19):
Wow, they're calling my phone.
Speaker 2 (31:20):
I was like, and sometimes you don't want people in
your business.
Speaker 16 (31:24):
My dad has a master's economics, Bachelors of finance. I
don't what a fool, and so I printed out a
season assist letter. I went write down down to the stables.
Some of y'all don't know what fax machines are. Get familiar,
because this is what I love, because you can email
it got lost, You can call and they can decide,
you know, not to listen. That still works like literally
seventy five cents because you get that return re seat
(31:45):
and they know you mean business.
Speaker 9 (31:46):
Right.
Speaker 16 (31:46):
I sent the season desist letter back to the three
or four debt collectors that I had instantly the call stop.
The key is you have to let them communicate with
you somehow. So you can say, hey, you can email me,
you can send me a letter, or you can call
me here or yes, you can set the terms, and
by law they have to oblige. Can you negotiate that
(32:07):
debt too, Yes, you can call and negotiate ultimately that
collectors just want something, so you want to be clear,
but which you can actually give them, especially if it
could be a lump sum. So let's just say you
all one thousand dollars. You know they're likely not going
to take a hundred, but maybe they'll take five hundred.
Speaker 1 (32:23):
That It doesn't hurt to ask, It does not her
to ask.
Speaker 16 (32:25):
You know, people just want their money.
Speaker 2 (32:27):
Tiffany Alite is here. You know her also as the
Budget Nissa. She's had quite a journey and on this
Wealth Wednesday, she's giving us all kinds of gems for
what we're going through in today's timing, with the economy
the way that it is.
Speaker 1 (32:40):
We have more when we come back.
Speaker 2 (32:41):
It's way up, dream wealthy and I don't mind sharing
my wealth dog.
Speaker 5 (32:45):
Getting you straight financially, mentally and physically. This is Wealth
Wednesday on Way Up with Angela Yee.
Speaker 1 (32:51):
What's up his way up by Angela Yee. It's a
Wealth Wednesday.
Speaker 2 (32:54):
So Stacy Tisdale is here and we are talking to
the Budget Nisa.
Speaker 1 (32:58):
Tiffany Alice talk to the person who's listening right now,
who's in this situation.
Speaker 13 (33:03):
They're unsure about their job, how they're gonna pay all
their bills, but their head is under the covers.
Speaker 1 (33:07):
They don't even know where to get started.
Speaker 16 (33:09):
It's really important that you don't navigate this thing by yourself.
You know, you have to get a community with other people.
I want you to look at where you are currently.
So what is your current budget, and if you were
to lose your job today, like I call it your
noodle budget, if you could drop down and get your
noodle on. So let's just say your regular budget cost
you five thousand dollars a month. This is your rent car,
(33:30):
no car insurance, all the things that you paid for.
You know, what is your noodle budget? Is it three thousand?
I'm not saying drop down to it, but you should
know what it is because too many people lose their
house and a cable still long.
Speaker 1 (33:41):
Yeah, why you got that off? Yeah, that should have
been one of the first things.
Speaker 16 (33:44):
Yeah, so you want to you already want to know
if it's almost like your emergency plan. You already want
to know if an emergency comes up within a day,
I can cancel these things to bring me from five
thousand to three thousand dollars, so starting their first and
foremost and right now, I would be aggressively build my
retirement account, not matter of time, my emergency fund at
minimum three months, ideally six months, and if you're an entrepreneur,
(34:08):
one year.
Speaker 2 (34:08):
I want to ask you this. This has been a
conversation I've been seeing on social media. Say, you've started
saving and investing at an early age, and you're.
Speaker 1 (34:16):
Letting that money grow.
Speaker 2 (34:17):
We're all thinking about retirement, but at what point do
you actually like enjoy that money. When are you like,
I've invested my money and my mutual funds, or I've
invested in the stocks, and I have this eight corns account,
I have this Robinhood account, whatever it is.
Speaker 1 (34:32):
When do you say, okay, let's use some of this.
Speaker 16 (34:35):
Well, angel I struggle with this too. The mistake that
I made, and I don't want people to make, is
that the goal was the money, and then I said,
I'll figure out what life should be according to the money.
And now the goal is the life and the money
has to match that. Okay, you know what I mean.
So it's like, oh, do you have enough to go
on vacation, to go and so it's like setting the
life up and then making the money match, and you
(34:57):
will find that you probably have for some people have
more than enough.
Speaker 2 (35:01):
Right now, I'm with Stacy Tisdale on a wealthy Wednesday
and we're talking to our friend Tiffany Elite aka the
budget Nista. Her book Get Good with Money is available
on paperback today.
Speaker 1 (35:10):
In your book, you discuss the art of the pre pivot.
Can you expand on that?
Speaker 16 (35:14):
So a pivot is oh my gosh, we hit a door,
so now we have to turn. Well, what if you
knew a door was coming because you're wise enough, you
look in your industry, you're like, things are slowing down
in that area, and you start working on the solution now.
So by the time you hit the door, you're like,
we're already ready for it. We have the key in
the lock, we're passing through right, And so so many
people wait till it's too late. What if there's her
(35:35):
personal finances? Like you've been hearing the chatter at your
job that they letting people go yeaes six months to
a year ago, you could have buckled down and saved more,
and now they told you.
Speaker 2 (35:44):
You're like what because it said sometimes we just sit
there and wait to get let go and try to
write it out as long as possible.
Speaker 13 (35:51):
And you're so focused on the job and that whole
emotional journey.
Speaker 16 (35:55):
Pivot you should be.
Speaker 1 (35:56):
You should be pre pivot when things are okay.
Speaker 16 (35:59):
Yeah yeah, because nothing kills creativity like brokeness. So I
like to set aside about I tell my team set
aside about thirty percent of your time, energy and resources
for what's next, not what is I knew the core
space was diminishing like five years ago, so we have
been pre pivoting for five years. Right, so by the
time you catch up and see what I'm doing, it's.
Speaker 1 (36:18):
Like I'm doing it. I did it, and it might
take you five years to get to that work.
Speaker 16 (36:22):
So instead of watching.
Speaker 3 (36:23):
Me, watch yourself.
Speaker 2 (36:24):
Yeah growth, Thank you so much, Timpany. It's always so
much fun when you come up here and now come
back soon. We love it, but it needs done.
Speaker 1 (36:31):
And you for all this information you have not already gotten.
Speaker 16 (36:34):
Kick it with money available books are sold the paperback version,
so it's cheaper and that get good with money dot com.
Speaker 2 (36:40):
Let's get financially hold watch the interview on my YouTube
channel Way Up with ye and when we come back,
you have the last.
Speaker 1 (36:46):
Word, gets your voice heard? What the words?
Speaker 5 (36:51):
The last word? On Way Up?
Speaker 1 (36:53):
With angela ye, what's happ his Way Up? But angela ye,
I'm at Mano.
Speaker 2 (36:56):
Yeah, no is talking today because I had some quinoa.
You know what always makes me have to run is
talking to the bathroom. But shout out to Megan thee Stallion.
She posted last night was a real wake up call
for me. I've been pushing myself pass my limits lately,
running on empty, and my body finally said enough and
honestly scared me. I thought I was gonna faint on stage.
(37:18):
I really tried to push through my performance, but I
just couldn't.
Speaker 1 (37:21):
Hattie Is.
Speaker 2 (37:22):
I want to be rare with y'all because you mean
everything to me, and I hate letting y'all down. I
just need one day to rest, reset and take care
of myself the way I should have been. So for
everybody who was concerned because she did have to go
to the hospital during her performance on Mulin Rouge, she
is fortunately okay.
Speaker 1 (37:38):
So shout out to Megan thee Stallion.
Speaker 2 (37:40):
All right, and thank you again to Tiffany Alitak for
joining us on this wealth Wednesday, the budget Mesta. Her
book Get Good with Money, is available on paperback today. MANA,
what solo things are you doing today?
Speaker 11 (37:51):
Man?
Speaker 3 (37:51):
Flying solo? Man, I'm just doing me. I gotta do
what I got do. I not playing Pauls no more.
Speaker 2 (37:59):
It is you know, it's so possible. I mean, I
want to speak freely, all right, we love that for you.
Speaker 4 (38:06):
Look like the words the way that they meant in
the dictionary is the way that I speak.
Speaker 2 (38:10):
Okay, fair enough, that's all right. Well, you guys, this
is your show, so you.
Speaker 11 (38:15):
Have what's up? Angela? Ye, my name Frank's from Baltimore.
I just knew the message, and I just wanted to
shout you out, shout your show out. And I also
wanted to know if you could send a prayer around
the world for me and my family. My girl about
to have a baby and we're still trying to figure
things out financially, and our life just got cut off.
(38:37):
So we're out here with no lights or whatever, but
we still get in the car listening to you. I
listened to the show every day. The only thing that
asking for his parents. That shit. Y'all, bless yall, y'all
have a wonderful denter.
Speaker 5 (38:48):
You tapped in and way up with Angela Yee
