Speaker 1 (00:00):
Hey, it's Michael reminding you that your morning show can
be heard live each weekday morning five to eight Central,
six to nine Eastern and great cities like Nashville, Tennessee
two below, Mississippi and Sacramento, California. We'd love to be
a part of your morning routine and take the drive
to work with you, but better late than never. We're
grateful you're here.
Speaker 2 (00:17):
Now. Enjoy the podcast.
Speaker 3 (00:19):
A new way of talk, a new way of understanding,
because we're in the stigiving. This is your morning show
with Michae O'Dell Jordan.
Speaker 2 (00:30):
We're all a little bit and off. How many hits.
Speaker 3 (00:32):
Doctor hook at Wow, Old Joe.
Speaker 2 (00:35):
And to honor my listeners, I refuse to sing on
the air and get a earworm stuck in your head.
But I did just do the ending of she was
only sixteen, and I thought flawlessly, you did it. Yeah,
I'm dying to do it right now. Don't do it?
Do what two. I was just looking at the lyrics
(00:56):
of if You're in love with a beautiful woman, Huh,
you better watch your friends. I'm in love with the
beautiful man. Do you have to keep an eye on
you too? Look out? And then I look at the
last verse, he goes to, you better watch your eyes.
You better watch your eyes. You bet dow he gets
he turns his suspicion on her, which is a Joe Vigism.
Joe Viggism number one was always merry a homely woman.
(01:16):
That way, no one will want her. Now eight minutes
after the hour on this Monday May eighteenth, Roory O'Neil
always has to join the show already in progress and say,
why am I here? Did you have a favorite Doctor
Hook song? Why am I here? No? I do, no,
you do not even sexy eyes or cover of the
(01:38):
Rolling Stone, or I forgot how many? I did? Forget
how many? And by the way, that would be another thing.
If I ran into him, I would have said, hey,
doctor Hook, and he's not even doctor Hook. That was
the name of the band, Like when I said hi
to Hoodie and he gave me a filthy look because
his name is Darius. Got to get that right about
Doctor Hook. All right, let's do something you want to do.
(01:58):
Energy fertilizer prices or skyrocketing American farmers are growing desperate.
That could affect the cost of food for all of us.
Then we become desperate. It's a vicious cycle. Money makes
the firs go around.
Speaker 4 (02:10):
Yeah, and you know that agricultural industry is so foundational
to really our whole economies, since of course we can't
live without our farmers, and they're really getting hit hard.
The diesel prices are up sixty percent from where they
were a year ago. You've got now the strain of fertilizer,
because the strain of Hormoves has closed, a lot of
those Asian countries are buying from suppliers we would normally use,
(02:34):
so it's jacking up the price for fertilizers as well.
There's a report by the Farm Bureau that says about
seventy percent of farmers can't afford all the fertilizer they
would like to use this season, So that could mean
smaller crops, smaller yields, and that means prices go higher.
Speaker 2 (02:52):
Well, that's why that announcement of at least a verbal
commitment for China to buy ten billion dollars in egg
purchases was very welcome news the Chinese summit. But obviously
securing the strait of Hormuz is solution numeral Luno right
right to.
Speaker 4 (03:08):
Get down those diesel prices in particular. And again, as
I've told you before, you know, diesel feeds into everything
right that you need it for the tractor to plant
the seeds, the tractor will harvest the crop you need
it for to get the produce to a market, to
get it to your store shelves. It's diesel, diesel, diesel
at every level. And of course fertilizer is essentially diesel,
(03:28):
so it's in everything. And that's why when you see
these price bikes, it's been so impactful for farmers.
Speaker 2 (03:34):
You know, we haven't talked about this. I know this
is changing the subject because you're doing mainly ag, but
we were looking at airline fuel becoming somewhat of a crisis,
especially in Europe. Where does that stand and we haven't
heard any stories about that.
Speaker 4 (03:47):
Yeah, on the jet fuel thing. Yeah, it's funny. I
was talking to something because now travel insurance companies are
not going to cover you if your flight is canceled
due to jet fuel shortages in Europe because that is
now an expected potential issue. So it's not an unexpected
surprise that would affect your flight. It's expected. So if
(04:09):
your flight is canceled, even your travel insurance won't likely
cover a new ticket.
Speaker 2 (04:14):
And that was originally we were looking at six to
eight weeks and that's about three weeks ago, four weeks ago.
Speaker 4 (04:19):
Yeah, it should have been right around, So the end
of the month of May, the end of May would
be the timeline we're looking at.
Speaker 2 (04:26):
Yeah, thanks, Rory. My son is standing on the seventeenth
bridge at St. Andrew's Old Course as we speak, returning
home the final day of the month. That would be
a very expensive not covered by insurance. All right, Rory's
gonna be back in the third hour. We've talked a
lot about China and there'll be a follow up meeting
in September. But Roy's going to have the situation in
(04:46):
Cuba that continues to deteriorate. Hopefully this is enough to
make Cuba come to the table and have reasonable conversations,
economic and military conversations. We will see. Roy'll have more
on that and what could be the fall of Cuba. Quietly,
(05:07):
silently and finally, right, I mean, think go back to
Kennedy and all of the conspiracy theories that led the
you know, assassination of the president, let alone the Cuban
missile crisis, let alone the CIA's attempts to try to
kill Castro and boison his food, make his beard fall out,
and then it just quietly happens right after Venezuela. You know,
(05:31):
it touches on what we talked about last week. And again,
this is what Sarah night Live is missing. This is
what all of America seems to be missing. Which is
why I want to have this conversation with Chris Walker.
I think all of us could learn. I mean, these
are I don't know if you call them enemies or adversaries,
that they both mean the same thing. But I mean,
(05:52):
you know, China's an adversary of the United States, have
a completely different worldview, completely different political goals. These are
two enemies opposing world views and agendas. Yet they were respectful, cordial,
and they were able to achieve some common ground and progress.
(06:12):
Ours and D's should have more in common with each
other than China and America or don't they is really
the question. Well, visit with Chris Walker about that. In
the seven o'clock hour, this president has eliminated two potential
threats in our hemisphere. Venezuela done, Cuba collapsing. He has
(06:38):
completely redrawn the Middle East and done so without escalating
anything but China and Russia. It's pretty extraordinary. You know,
if you were just rooting for America, you'd find a
lot of things about Donald Trump. You like. Only in
these partisan divides do we create defeat in the midst
(06:58):
of victory. I have IRV, but I don't know where
IRV is from. IRV is from WLAC oh. Okay, this
is Nashville, Tennessee listening to WLAC HERV.
Speaker 5 (07:13):
I was one of those guys who had my eyeballs
on every single NBA and NFL game I could possibly
find for a.
Speaker 2 (07:23):
Long long time.
Speaker 5 (07:25):
And then the NFL went woke, started shoving it down
our throats, and the NBA product did the same thing
and just became trash.
Speaker 2 (07:34):
And now I found other things to do. Yeah, I
think I think that explains now. I always loved hockey.
I mean, I going back, oh and I grew up
in Chicago. I mean, we had some great teams, but
I remember loving the Bruins as a kid, Bobby or
and Tony Esposito. I mean, I always loved the game
of hockey. But I think later in life, in my forties,
(07:57):
the reason I became so much more hockey fan was
the abandonment of those others. The NBA certainly lost me.
I mean, if I was ten years old and you
were in my bedroom, there's probably more basketball things. I
know there were more more Chicago bull things in NFL,
(08:19):
so basketball did the same with me. I'm just a
hopeless addict with the NFL. It doesn't I don't know
if the NFL can run me off. They should have
years ago, but I'm just an addict. I can't. I
do love college football more than the NFL, but the
NFL is probably the only one that no matter how
much it offends me. I'm sorry, I'm just addicted. Are
you in a Titans fan is running me away from
the NFL, Well, then there's that they've traded away all
(08:43):
your hope. Don is in Philadelphia.
Speaker 6 (08:45):
Good morning from Philadelphia, Michael. I totally agree with you
regarding Saturday Night Live. But think of the box that
Hollywood has put comedians into, the fear of saying one
thing that may offend a Democrat or someone on the left,
because they may be shunned from Hollywood society for a
(09:09):
very long time.
Speaker 2 (09:11):
What's interesting is the reaction to that, because it almost
made them go I mean, well, I mean, look at
Rob Schneider. That's become his niche right now. He's you know,
I wouldn't play any of that game. I think everybody.
For comedy to work, it can't be predictable, and for
(09:32):
somebody either to take the bait and be their left
or right in comedy is a mistake. And to fragment
your audience and to take away your element of surprise,
and to not hold all things accountable to funny first
and foremost, Saturday Night Live committed an unpardonable sin against
(10:01):
then committed the stupid error of alienating its audience. And
if it is a Trump derangement syndrome, it certainly has
bled over like deplorables to all. Now you're mocking half
your audience as God, their values and rules for life.
(10:25):
And maybe, to Donna's point, while you were so fixated
on the sacred cows of the left, you didn't even
realize there were sacred cows on the right and a
game you didn't even have to play. I just can't
think of anything, you know, we were joking about it earlier.
Other than Marlborough. I can't think of anything. I was
(10:45):
loyal too longer than Sarah life. They had me for
four decades and lost me. That's huge. And this weekend
they had Will Ferrell as host and Paul McCartney's musical guest.
And I didn't even watch it, didn't even care. And
I don't even feel like I missed anything. That's how
predictably wrong they are. I didn't even know. Well, that's
(11:06):
the sort it is. Michael o'hi gets the final say,
you know the problem we have.
Speaker 7 (11:11):
We have the deceiver, a snake, the devil. He's trying
to divide us. We have to have Jesus in our
hearts so we can all love each other. Your morning
show is MO Morning's Show with Michael Dell Jerdy.
Speaker 2 (11:25):
Michael means godly one. Wait, thank you for the godly
remind you know, it's so true we forget, you know,
love the Lord, your God with all your heart's soulen mind.
And then what's the second part of that? And love
each other. I have often said this, it's a sneaky
We like to create all these high callings in life.
There is no more difficult cross to bear. There is
(11:45):
no higher calling than being godly in the midst of
an ungodly world, and right now in that definition of
an ungodly world, loving others, letting your first thought be love.
So we end every show with You'll never get to
live this day again. Oh my gosh, cherish it, live
(12:07):
it and go make a difference in someone's life, getting
outside yourself and loving others. To Michael's point, why do
we take Satan's petty bait and divide so easily? Right now?
The voices in our culture are loud, but the truth
is often silent. Today, Preborn needs you to speak up,
(12:28):
act up, and make a difference. See women who face
unplanned pregnancies. They're often pressured to act quickly. They want
them to react, not to respond. They don't want them
to pause, breathe, hear the truth about life, dignity or hope.
They certainly desperately don't want that mother to ever see
an ultrasound. Why if this is all supposedly pro choice,
(12:52):
why do you care what choice the mother makes? Well
the preborn a woman is welcomed with compassion and love,
and the first I think she gets as a free
ultrasound because when she sees the life growing inside her,
when she hears that heartbeat for the first time, she
realizes this is not a problem to be solved. This
is a life to be protected and twice as likely
(13:14):
to choose life. Twenty eight dollars provides an ultrasound one
hundred and forty dollars or sponsor five ultrasounds. The statistical
proclivity when you give one hundred and forty dollars to
Preborn is you will save two and a half lives.
Isn't that better than just having an opinion or a
position to be pro life and literally saved two and
a half lives a single life? What a value You
(13:39):
couldn't put a price tag on. To donate? Hit pound
two fifty on your phone and use the keyword baby
pound two fifty, keyword baby, or gift securely online the
Preborn dot com forward slash yms. That's a Preborn dot
com forward slash yms. All gifts are tax deductible, obviously,
all gifts are the gifts of life. And I thank
(14:01):
you and bless you for that as you do it.
Sponsored by Preborn.
Speaker 3 (14:05):
This is your morning show with Michael Dale Chrono.
Speaker 2 (14:09):
This is getting a lot of attention, probably for all
the wrong reasons. I mean, I would like to just
take the high road and say first and foremost, Shaquille
O'Neal made a promise to his mother that he would
finish his education after leaving the NBA, and boy as,
he kept his promise twenty six years later, not only
getting his four year degree, but he just walked the
(14:30):
stage and graduated from Louisiana State University's master's degree program.
And I don't know how many people, I don't know
how many people have had their name announced at a
master's graduation the way Shaquille O'Neal did. Shaquille, I hate
Charles barks Oh my god, I'm gonna hear Charles No,
(14:57):
that's just term turn dal. I hate Charles Barkley O'Neill
in the LSU Assembly center where he dominated the SEC.
And how he's getting his master's degree Diplomah, what a
great moment at LSU this weekend. All right, Obviously, the
(15:20):
President says, the clock, I mean, you know, how long
is this clock gonna TACKA? I think a little less compasa,
a little more action. But the President was one final
warning for Iran over the weekend.
Speaker 8 (15:30):
Trump advines to Iran they better get moving fast or
there won't be anything left of them, you know, Sunday
morning post on Truth Social, Trump wrote that time is
of the essence as peace negotiations appear to remain stalled.
Trump's latest threat comes after he rejected a ron's response
to the White House peace proposal as totally unacceptable. Last week,
he also described the franchial ceasefire as being on life support.
Speaker 2 (15:52):
I'm Mark Mayfield. Senator Lindsey Graham says there's no room
in the Republican Party to destroy President Trump's agenda after
Bill Cassidy's loss and a Senate primary in Louisiana.
Speaker 8 (16:02):
The South Carolina Republican made the comment on NBC's Meet
the Press, adding that people who try to destroy the
President will get destroyed. In response, those who try to
destroy Trump politically stand in the waive's gender are going
to lose. Cassidy has sometimes broken with the GOP, while
his opponent, Congresswoman Julia letlow had been endorsed by Trump.
In a post on truth Social Saturday, the president said
(16:24):
it's nice to see that Cassidy's political career is over,
but Lowe and John Fleming will now face off next
month in a runoff election.
Speaker 2 (16:31):
Mark, I'm getting to wonder how much money big John
one on that Preakness pick. We haven't heard from him
all days. If Connie Wall with the cash Napoleon Solo,
a horse that entered with seven to one odds finished
fifth in his last two races, won the Briakness's Big
John said on Saturday he would overtaking the favorite my
pick taj Mahal down the stretch, also holding off another
(16:52):
strong contender in Iron Honor Sabers at home tonight Game
seven versus the Canadians. The winner goes to the Conference Final.
Calves are headed to the conference final for the first
time since twenty eighteen, and they did it with an
exclamation point one twenty five ninety four over the Pistons
last night. Birthdays country legend George Strait is seventy four,
(17:13):
actress Tfa is fifty six, and mister October Reggie Jackson
is eighty. It's your birthday, Happy birthday. We are so
glad you were born and thanks for listening.
Speaker 9 (17:25):
Hi, I'm uptown girl, Christy Brinkley, and my morning show
is your Morning Show with Michael del Jorna.
Speaker 1 (17:36):
Hey, it's me Michael. Your Morning Show has heard live
from five to eight am Central six to nine am
Eastern three to six am Pacific on great radio stations
like News Radio eleven ninety k EX in Portland, News
Talk five point fifty k FYI and Phoenix, Arizona, and
Freedom one oh four seven in Washington, d C. We'd
love to have you join us live in the morning,
even take us along on the drive to work. But
(17:58):
better late than never. Enjoyed the podcast.
Speaker 2 (18:00):
Email Michael D at iHeartMedia dot com. I don't know
if I can find this this quick um could be
this one right here. I got to play this for
your hard So Robert, instead of typing, even on an email,
he sends the recording. Gorgeous voice, by the way, but
(18:21):
watch how it ends.
Speaker 10 (18:21):
Are you ready, Michael, Good morning, Bob from Germantown, Tennessee.
A serious aircraft in New York was slightly different than
the nineteen seventy five airport movie. Dana Andrews played the
pilot in a beachcraft Baron who unfortunately ran into the
seven forty seven Nancy, do what you do?
Speaker 6 (18:45):
Baby?
Speaker 2 (18:46):
Perfect jock caston that you know we always say email
of the day, that is like email of my career.
First of all, what a gorgeous voice We've got to
make you a part of this broadcast. Number one, number two.
What a chuck, And he chose the other one. I
would I just simply responded, Climb, baby, clymb Remember when
(19:08):
they could the aircraft, it's raising, it's gaining altitude. I
thought there was no communication. That's Nancy flying. And then
they Chuck zoom in on Chuck's rotten teeth and he
goes climb, baby, climb, What a great Chuck, Heston, thanks
for being the email of the year so far. All right.
Large crowds gathered in the National Mall for Washington, DC's
(19:30):
Jubilee Prayer on Sunday. The President issues a new warning
to Iran and Oklahoma City thunder Shay Gilgus Alexander is
youra MVP. Napoleon Solo is your Brickness winner, and Aaron
Ray from Britain is your PGA champion. And the Cabs
are headed to the Eastern Conference Final for the first
time since twenty eighteen with a big win over the
(19:51):
Pistons last night. And that's what's happening over the weekend.
Republican Senator Bill Cassidy lost his primary nomination following an
extraordinary intervention by the president. White House correspondent John Decker,
who just returned from China with the President, as a
story of why President accused Cassidy of disloyalty and the
perils of lawmakers who risk speaking out or turning on
(20:13):
the president. Yes, this president has party cotailed, John, could
be this hasn't been a red wave all along, it's
been very orange.
Speaker 11 (20:22):
Well, look, the president is the leader of the Republican Party, Michael.
You know it, I know it, and most importantly, the
Republicans in Congress know that. And if you run a
foul of President Trump, you risk getting a primary opponent.
And that's what happened with Senator Cassidy, and it may
happen also with Thomas Massey. He's got an important primary tomorrow,
(20:44):
and as you know, the President has endorsed his primary opponent.
We'll have to see what happens in Kentucky tomorrow. But
as for Louisiana, this will be the last term for
Senator Cassidy, who has served two terms in the US Senate.
But of course he was one of those handful of
Republican senators who voted to convict President Donald Trump in
(21:06):
that second impeachment trial. That is something that President Trump
never forgot and that was the reason why ultimately he
endorsed his primary opponent.
Speaker 2 (21:15):
Well, it's the old expressions. You mesh with the bull,
you get the horns. He's the latest to get the horns.
You know, we look at this long list, and I
did this earlier. Really Murkowski in Alaska, Susan Collins in Maine,
two of the only four to really survive doing such things.
The other list gets very long. Cassidy now joins Liz Cheney.
(21:36):
You have a lot of people who have withdrawn. This
is consistent. I guess somebody's got to ask this out loud.
Is there in any way a potential that there is
a referendum against incumbents that's really coming to the surface.
But I'm with you. These are clearcases of people who
betrayed the president and the voters, you know responding.
Speaker 11 (22:00):
Are Republican primaries. Yeah, these are Republican primaries. So you
know that means that only Republicans vote in them. And
if you don't have the endorsement of President Donald Trump
and a Republican primary, good luck.
Speaker 2 (22:12):
It's very unlikely you're going to make it through.
Speaker 11 (22:15):
And we've seen that time after time, and you mentioned
some of those people already, and some members of Congress
who you know ran to foul the president so to speak,
they've decided to call it today. They're resigning. And you
know Tom Tilli is a perfect example of that. He's resigning,
leaving Congress altogether. Rather than run for re election.
Speaker 2 (22:36):
Pat Toomey declined to run in Pennsylvania, At Romney declined
to run in Utah. There's a long Live Richard Byrne
North Carolina, a long list of those who didn't run.
There are several that have lost five and there's only
very few that have survived going against the president. All Right,
So you've done this for thirty years, so that's a
lot of presidencies for president to have this kind of
(22:56):
power late. And this is so unique because it's not consecutives.
Everything about Donald Trump is not unique, and you throw
out the history books. But a president of this kind
of say, in a party two years before being irrelevant,
and then it certainly begs the question, well, if it's
Donald Trump's party right now, whose party is it in
two years? It may still be Donald Trump's.
Speaker 3 (23:16):
Yeah, that's the.
Speaker 11 (23:17):
Reason why it's going to be really interesting to see
what President Donald Trump decides to do in terms of
figuring out who his successor.
Speaker 2 (23:25):
Will be in twenty twenty eight.
Speaker 11 (23:26):
We know there are two members of his cabinet who
are very ambitious will likely run for the Republican nomination,
Marco Rubio his Vice President Jadie Vance.
Speaker 2 (23:36):
There could be others as well.
Speaker 11 (23:38):
But what will President Donald Trump do in terms of
endorsing any candidate for the position of being the Republican
nominee in twenty twenty eight.
Speaker 2 (23:47):
All right, so Venezuela resolved, Cuba coming to a head.
Something's got to give with Aron. I often thought that
Marco Rubio would probably check out here very soon if
he's running for pres He made it clear over the
weekend he plans to finish the entire term. He loves
working for the president, he loves being Secretary of State,
and he plans to finish. I don't know. Maybe maybe
(24:11):
Vance he is going to clear the way for bans.
I don't know. I thought that was a surprising announcement
for me.
Speaker 11 (24:15):
Anyway, Well, it's not an announcement, you know. You know
how politicians are. They say one thing, one day, they
say something else. You know, a year later, you know,
Marc Rubio's time to make a decision, and why make
yourself a lame duck? Now, why not, you know, continue
on in your position as Secretary of State and have
all the power associated with that. So I don't blame
(24:38):
Secretary of State Rubia for saying what he said over
the weekend as it relates to twenty twenty eight, he's
not thinking about that. He certainly has a name recognition,
He can, you know, do well. He doesn't need to
travel the country to introduce himself. He's run for president before.
He's got that advantage. There are so many advantages that
he has without actually having to put.
Speaker 2 (24:59):
Together an organization. Now he can wait.
Speaker 11 (25:02):
Certainly as we get into closer to the twenty and
twenty eight presidential.
Speaker 2 (25:06):
He doesn't want to send any weak messages to Iran
right now either that there's any potential breach in the
team and aspirations. Although whether it's Vance or Rubio, the
scenario is the same for Iran. So real quickly, anything
you want to say in a minute about that extraordinary
For me. The biggest takeaway was how two adversaries, adversarial
(25:28):
countries and leaders treated each other with such respect. And
found at least a couple of things, very actionable things
in common ground, a lesson we could all learn with
ours and d's at home. Huh well, yeah, that's right.
Speaker 11 (25:43):
You know, I'm sorry I was unable to talk to
you while I was over there in Beijing, Shiner for
the past week.
Speaker 2 (25:49):
I missed talking to you. I'm glad to be back,
but I.
Speaker 11 (25:53):
Thought it was a pretty consequential summit for sure. And
we'll see, you know, in the aftermath of that. Some
of the things that the President decides to do as
it relates to various very important issues on his plate,
whether it's Iran, whether it's Taiwan, whether it's Ukraine. A
lot of things will be known more about what was
(26:13):
said between President Trump and President she while the President
was engaging last week.
Speaker 2 (26:18):
Yeah. The thing that gives me confidence is he's coming
here in September. That makes me think the two hundred
Boeing jets is probably real, the ten billion an egg
purchase probably real. All of the trade tensions is probably
behind us. The question is Taiwan, which I think is
a big issue. And Okay, you don't think a ron
should have a nuclear weapon. You want the Straits opened.
(26:39):
What are you willing to do to help us achieve
that that all still needs to be worked out. So
much achieved, but much to finalize and even more to
still overcome. Pretty much the summary. Yeah, I think that's good.
That's a good summary. Absolutely. I'm going to go to
use it on other stations. What's coming up today on
the White House Briefing Room.
Speaker 11 (27:00):
Well, we wrap up what happened in China, for sure,
and we also talk about what the state is of
that presidential White House ballroom. The president wants stability got
a setback this past weekend when the Senate parliamentarian made
a ruling that makes it very difficult to get congressional
funds the way the president wants for that ballroom.
Speaker 2 (27:21):
So we'll talk a little bit about that as well.
The White House Briefing Room podcast with John Decker will
be up by nine Eastern eighth Central. Give it a
preset that way. It's waiting for you every morning. John.
Great to have you back from China safely, God blessed.
We'll talk tomorrow.
Speaker 3 (27:32):
Thank you.
Speaker 2 (27:33):
All right. If you're just waking up forty five minutes
after the hour, these are your top five stories of
the day. The President did have a warning for Iran.
No advice to Iran.
Speaker 8 (27:42):
They better get moving fast or there won't be anything
left of them, you know. Sunday morning post on truth
Social Trump wrote that time is of the essence as
peace negotiations appear to remain stalled. Trump's latest threat comes
after he rejected to Ron's response to the White House

It's your Morning show with Michael del Journo.
Speaker 2 (34:22):
I don't know whether to answer this seriously or if
it's like a rhetorical punchline. Linda writes, good morning, Michael.
My question about Muslims is this what sin did the
virgins commit to be condemned to eternity with a radical
Muslim man? I think Lisa is just joking. Hurries, by
the way, is the extremist Islamist promised of dying in
(34:45):
martyrdom and your reward being? Now, if it's a serious question,
you're assuming they're human. They're not, and Hourries, they're heavenly
entities of beautiful women and virgins, which are the reward
for sacrifice your life and the cause of jihad? And
careful when you say Muslims, because this would be more
(35:05):
of an extremist doctrine, which is a portion of Muslims,
but not all Muslims. But I didn't know if that
was a serious question wanting a serious answer, if it was,
if it was a joke. But either way, I got
it in there for you. All right, sounds that day
are coming up. I seriously, can we top the way?
Speaker 3 (35:21):
Shaq?
Speaker 2 (35:23):
And again I love the story. Shaquille O. Neal keeps
his promise to his mother twenty six years after leaving
the NBA. I mean, what's Shack gotta do with a
master's degree? Well, what is he not already done without it?
Without it?
Speaker 11 (35:36):
You know?
Speaker 2 (35:36):
But he made a problem. I mean, this is a
mother and a son's promise being kept. And twenty six
years later, he crosses the stage at the Assembly Center
at Louisiana State University, where he dominated in basketball and
then went on to dominate in the NBA and now
commentates for the NBA. But when you hear how the
(35:58):
person introduces him as he walks up to get his diploma,
it may be the Sound of the Day. But we
have other Sounds of the day coming up next half hour.
Also roy O'Neil with the latest down the conditions in Cuba.
This situation continues to deteriorate. The US is looking at
the possibility that Havana may be considering drone strikes on
our military base at Gau Autonomo Bay. Are they going
(36:20):
to go out with a fight or are they going
to reasonably come to the table. They are starved of energy,
their grids are down. It's time to talk serious about
security and economics, not necessarily strikes within Cuba. But we'll
get the latest from Rory. That's all coming your way
next half hours. Your Morning Show continues on this Monday,
May the eighteenth, twenty twenty sixth.
Speaker 3 (36:41):
We're all in this together. This is Your Morning Show
