report says peace talks continue with Iran at a very

rapid pace. I'm struggling to understand why we are even
in peace talks. You have succeeded in destroying their nuclear program,
killing all of their scientists. You've destroyed their intelligence apparatus,
their air force, their navy. They are not a threat
nuclear for at least a decade. They have no money

to send to their proxies to carry out terrorist attacks.
Regime changes up to their people. You keep an eye
on their stockpile. I'll vomit if they make a move
on it and get that straight of horror moves open.
But we have found ourselves in somewhat of a peace quagmar,
trying to get a deal with a country we don't trust.
Even if we make a deal with them, so we're struggling,

and now for all the enemy to watch the president

relationship now is so mature that we have real differences
on things like Pakistan and Bangladeshi and stuff and we're

I have zero worries about the US Israeli alliance. I
think right now, I think the President feels like he
is in the driver's seat.

What he has done is pulled together an alliance the
countries to do this. And now when we ramp this down,
it's it's not just about us anymore.

The Saudi's Uae, Israel Guitar, other countries in the region.

Brain Kuwait, They're they're going to have to live in
the neighborhood when this is done. And if the President
wants to keep them an ally as allies, he's got
to wine this down in a way that you know,
keeps the trust and confidence with them as well. And
they don't all agree on exactly how they want this
thing to end. Most of them don't want to see
this end in regime change because they sure that regime

change is going to just mean a collapse and massive
refugees piling out of the region. And and honestly, a
month ago, when people were looking at this and people
worry about that, I used to get more angst from
people about, you know, weapons of mass migration, that people
pouring into their country. Then they were about worried about this.

While so whether you're in Armenia or Azerbaijan, in any
country that was bordered uh.

Uh Iran, they were worried about that.
Speaker 4 (06:11):
So I think we're fine, and I think people should
take a deep breath and like you'll take it.

I'm gonna take a deep breath. But saying, what are
you fing doing? You're fing crazy? You know, I can't
it's it's so over the top. The first question is
this is this theater to demonstrate to everybody he's not
net in you who not in Yahoo's puppet? Uh you know?
And that could be it, but the enemy's hearing it,
and the enemy has to say they're seeing division, they're
gonna be less likely to talk. Of course, all of

this I don't get, because I don't even understand why
we're negotiating with him. Just just move on. I don't know,
you've achieved everything. I don't get why we need some
kind of an agreement with the country we couldn't trust
anyway in an agreement.

Well, I think in the end, if he doesn't get
an agreement, he could he can still protect America's interests
and I think that's that's where he's at.

So and he and he just feels comfortable way, you know, well, and.

That's there is there is a question of who's whose
side is time on? And it's not Iran's right, They're
they're going broken no I.

And I look, I think this is true for Russia
and Ukraine, and I think it's true for Iran in
the Gulf.

Which is Tomorrow's not nothing's better for them or easier
for them the next day. And the longer they drag
this out, I think the worst shape that they're in.
And you know, all the regime, you know, when they
say we're winning, their only goal is to stay in power.
And good for you, you're staying in power. But I

think the more they drag this out, the more.

Likelihood is that they may actually trigger.

A scenario where you know, people line them up against
the wall.

So so I'm going to ask the question one more

real peace negotiations or one big stall? And frankly, who's
stalling who? Because I'm hearing it is a big stall,
It's not a negotiation. And stallings in our favor, not theirs.

No, I think you're I think your assessments right.

This is just what about. This is a twenty year relationship,
and it bothers you.

To be honest. It always, it doesn't. I always find
you unsettling when I agree with you judgment.

You know, it's like the guy who said, you know,
I would never you know, I would never join a
club that would have somebody like me from Groucho Marks.

Yeah, I never never joined a club that would accept
me as a Mark Twain. Well, that was true. Groucho

you make of like Corey Booker? Yesterday? Corey Booker is
trying to pivot from the Platinir nightmare in Maine, and
he brings up the president now crawling trying to end
this war that he never should have started. Uh, and

we were better off before he started it. Uh, that's
not true. It would be really ignorant. Dangerously ignorant of
world events to not think anything's been accomplished, that we're
not better off with Iran in the situation they're in
right now.

Well, first of all, Americans by and large, you don't
really care about foreign policy, and unfortunately and care less
about what Coury Booker has to say about So it's
you know, it's kind of pivoting without a purpose. I
I think I think the president will make a case

in the midterms. I'm a lot of things, uh, and
that Americans will focus on and and and this won't
be one of them.

You know, it's not I you know, the thing.

About midterms is.

It's not enough to say.

I'm unhappy with my guy. You have to give them
an incentive or reason of vote for the other guy.

This is a lesson that Republicans learned in twenty twenty
two when they thought economy is not good, people are
super unhappy, you know, they're all going to vote for us,
and nothing really moved. And that's because Republicans really didn't
offer a real, you know, stellar alternative to what the
Democrats had.

So people just voted for the guy they always voted for.
And I just kind of believe that that's going to
be true again because the Democrats haven't really.

Put a positive vision on the table. So the Booker
thing about Iran is just another case of Democrats just
you know, changing the narrative to complain about Trump. But
even if they cause vision there, there's nothing good. They
don't have an alternative.

Non create that narrative. All that would do is open
a door. They still don't have a message or a
candidate to walk through it.

Yes, exactly, you know, and particularly out a run, they
don't have what they Their.

Solve under Obama.

workarounds on the energy front. Yeah. That and the more

this drags out, the more people are less dependent on
the actual movement of oil through the Straits, and and
and again that that actually puts the Iranian in a
in an Iranians in a place, because the more people
can find other way to get energy to market, the
less even the less the Iranians have.

To right, and I don't think they're going to be able.

To sustain militarily a block hated the Straits.

this book covers two things. One her problems with Kamala

the biggest problem for Joe Biden is she's wanting you
to believe first and foremost, she never saw anything in
Joe Biden that looked cognitively impaired before or after that debate,
But during that debate she was scared. Listen, I wasn't horrified.

that nobody's buying on the left or the right, that
she never sought any signs of her husband having any
problems before or since.

proficient in math and reading as.

time to get solar panels connected there was three to

It would have been quicker to build a windmill. Texas
has passed California in solar and blows away California when
it comes to wind and energy storage. How does a
state with no pro climate policies produce better climate results
than a state where here, even though we have so

is main going to cost them and their ability to
get the Senate? Time will tell that this candidate in
Maine is blowing up in their face, so they're left
with trying to find a gain somewhere else or trying
to salvage it. Time will tell. What was telling was
Senator Booker's visit on this week, because there was no

defense soever. Now, I think Bernie Sanders tried to defend Platiner,
not so much on the view and not so much
with Corey Booker. Yeah, I have concerns. That guy has
questions to answer, and that's what campaigns are for. But
when I go all over New Jersey and then he
tippots to try to make the case against Trump, well

that's not going to work, not in Maine anyway. So
no defense whatsoever. They'd like him to go away, and
I'm sure there's movements behind the scenes to get him
to go away. Heck, even the views not buying him.

But it is disturbing, and it is horrible, and why
can't we do better?

It's not what we're cathlmizing your morals and values and integrity.
To be honest, his sexing is the least of my constory.

Graham Plattner trashed a purple Heart recipient, said he didn't
deserve to live to Famed fallen Navy seal Chris Kyle
downplayed how hard it is to report sexual assault in
the military, repeatedly used anti Gosler's and homophobic post as
recently as twenty twenty one, called himself an avowed conis
and has a Nazi tattoo for twenty years that he's
since covered up. This guy just seems like a guy

of not very good character. And there are a lot
of options in this country. And by the way, there
are other paths for Democrats to win. Just win a
different state. You need four seats. Look at Alaska, look
at Iowall, look at Texas. Don't die on the hill
of a guy who is going to be headache for
you for years.

And not to make this political, because I'm usually not
the one that does that, but.

Watching that video of the wife saying, you know, don't
spend energy on these ads.

The problem with these ads is.

They like it true.

I mean, when the view is not buying your cover story,
that's a big problem. This is Fox News, so you
expect it to be pro prat and negative Bass, but
still a pretty pretty revealing piece of audio, to say
the least.

Jaron Bass is an incumbent Democrat with all of the
establishment behind her. She's got the unions, she's got the governor,
she's got Kamala Harris, but she can't crack twenty six
twenty seven percent. So that is not about Spencer Pratt.

That is about her.

When you've got a ceiling that low and you're the
incumbent mayor, that is your constitution one's telling you you're fired.
So Spenser Pratt, it's fascinating to watch a Republican hasn't
been mayor in Los Angeles since two thousand and one,
so it's been.

Twenty five years.
Speaker 7 (30:11):
And I think if he gets elected, he's going to
get elected, Yes, because people are angry because they feel
like the government has failed them.
Speaker 1 (30:18):
Now, the other interesting part of this is that, you know,
mayor's races aren't supposed to be partisan, they're municipal, they're
issue driven. An issue driven is an incumbent that has
failed them, the perception of an incumbent that has failed them.
We talked earlier with James Carafano from Prague and he
was saying, you know, I just don't see the midterms
being so definitive for the Democrats. You can create narratives,
(30:42):
you can create an open door of discontent, but you
still have to have ideas and you still have to
have candidates and solutions to walk through those doors. And
that's really a party wide problem for them that, in
addition to the party being at war with itself, who's
going to walk through that door back? Yes, Now, to
make matters even worse, Pratt is an example of somebody
(31:06):
who has an open door and the ability to cut
through and walk through it. He did it in the
debate with a really shining moment and her with a
really bad moment. He's done it in campaign ads, He's
done it in Internet. He's done it in capturing the
minds and hearts of so many celebrities that we outlined
in the first hour, from Joe Rogan, two others. This
(31:29):
guy's like a rising star out of reality TV and
has really come on strong. Now the polls suggest we're
in the final stretch and he's flying up on the outside.

Now.
Speaker 1 (31:43):
The reason we issued a severe Shenanigan Watch in effect
for all of California is they can harvest and collect
and count mail in votes from up to a week
after the election. So who knows the impact of that
and the governor's race or the mayor's race. I've looked

at all of it, consumed all of it, digested all
of it, and flushed all of it. And what I
see is Bass and Pratt in a runoff. And what
I see in the governor's race is what I believe
is going to be a Bishera and Hilton runoff, but
it could be both Democrats. Tyer could be coming second.
(32:25):
We'll wait and see tomorrow. You know, when I talked
about journalism being dead, I said it wasn't a victory
for the right, even though it was a stranglehold for
the left. It'll be at defeat for our our republic.
Here's a great example. It's our two hundred and fiftieth birthday.
We should have all eyes on the Declaration of Independence,
(32:46):
and all eyes are being forced everywhere but there. And
why can't we have a birthday party? Because we're not
capable of getting long enough to being Americans. And boy
didn't ms Now's Ali Velshi kind of summarized those feelings.

Anniversaries are imperfect records of the thing which is being celebrated.
In America's case, anniversaries often gloss over the racial dynamics
underlying much of America's history and politics, issues that remain
unsolved because America has never actually fully reckoned with its
racist past and its original founding sin of slavery. In

one month, America will mark the two hundred and fiftieth
anniversary of its founding. Like previous anniversaries, there is a
deep unease about this.

together could be a healing force. That's if the focus
is on our covenant, our document. I don't think we

focused on our intent or are we focused on our divisions.

but it looks like we're more focused on our dysfunction
rather than our solutions. Everybody, I'm not joking.

a group of people who can't define what a woman is.

in peace talks. You have succeeded in destroying their nuclear program,
killing all of their scientists. You've destroyed their intelligence apparatus,
their air force, their navy. They are not a threat
nuclear for at least a decade. They have no money

to send to their proxies to carry out terrorist attacks.
Regime changes up to their people. You keep an eye
on their stockpile. I'll vomit if they make a move
on it and get that straight of horror moves open.
But we have found ourselves in somewhat of a peace quagmar,
trying to get a deal with a country we don't trust.

relationship now is so mature that we have real differences
on things like Pakistan and Bangladeshi and stuff and we're

I have zero worries about the US Israeli alliance. I
think right now, I think the President feels like he
is in the driver's seat.

What he has done is pulled together an alliance the
countries to do this. And now when we ramp this down,
it's it's not just about us anymore.

The Saudi's Uae, Israel Guitar, other countries in the region.

Brain Kuwait, They're they're going to have to live in
the neighborhood when this is done. And if the President
wants to keep them an ally as allies, he's got
to wine this down in a way that you know,
keeps the trust and confidence with them as well. And
they don't all agree on exactly how they want this
thing to end. Most of them don't want to see
this end in regime change because they sure that regime
(05:41):
change is going to just mean a collapse and massive
refugees piling out of the region. And and honestly, a
month ago, when people were looking at this and people
worry about that, I used to get more angst from
people about, you know, weapons of mass migration, that people
pouring into their country. Then they were about worried about this.
(06:01):
While so whether you're in Armenia or Azerbaijan, in any
country that was bordered uh.
Speaker 3 (06:08):
Uh Iran, they were worried about that.
Speaker 4 (06:11):
So I think we're fine, and I think people should
take a deep breath and like you'll take it.
Speaker 1 (06:17):
I'm gonna take a deep breath. But saying, what are
you fing doing? You're fing crazy? You know, I can't
it's it's so over the top. The first question is
this is this theater to demonstrate to everybody he's not
net in you who not in Yahoo's puppet? Uh you know?
And that could be it, but the enemy's hearing it,
and the enemy has to say they're seeing division, they're
gonna be less likely to talk. Of course, all of

this I don't get, because I don't even understand why
we're negotiating with him. Just just move on. I don't know,
you've achieved everything. I don't get why we need some
kind of an agreement with the country we couldn't trust
anyway in an agreement.

Well, I think in the end, if he doesn't get
an agreement, he could he can still protect America's interests
and I think that's that's where he's at.

So and he and he just feels comfortable way, you know, well, and.

That's there is there is a question of who's whose
side is time on? And it's not Iran's right, They're
they're going broken no I.
Speaker 3 (07:09):
And I look, I think this is true for Russia
and Ukraine, and I think it's true for Iran in
the Gulf.

Which is Tomorrow's not nothing's better for them or easier
for them the next day. And the longer they drag
this out, I think the worst shape that they're in.
And you know, all the regime, you know, when they
say we're winning, their only goal is to stay in power.
And good for you, you're staying in power. But I

think the more they drag this out, the more.

Likelihood is that they may actually trigger.
Speaker 4 (07:42):
A scenario where you know, people line them up against
the wall.

So so I'm going to ask the question one more
time and then I'm going to shut up. Are these
real peace negotiations or one big stall? And frankly, who's
stalling who? Because I'm hearing it is a big stall,
It's not a negotiation. And stallings in our favor, not theirs.

you make of like Corey Booker? Yesterday? Corey Booker is
trying to pivot from the Platinir nightmare in Maine, and
he brings up the president now crawling trying to end
this war that he never should have started. Uh, and

we were better off before he started it. Uh, that's
not true. It would be really ignorant. Dangerously ignorant of
world events to not think anything's been accomplished, that we're
not better off with Iran in the situation they're in
right now.

Well, first of all, Americans by and large, you don't
really care about foreign policy, and unfortunately and care less
about what Coury Booker has to say about So it's
you know, it's kind of pivoting without a purpose. I
I think I think the president will make a case

in the midterms. I'm a lot of things, uh, and
that Americans will focus on and and and this won't
be one of them.

You know, it's not I you know, the thing.

About midterms is.

It's not enough to say.

I'm unhappy with my guy. You have to give them
an incentive or reason of vote for the other guy.

This is a lesson that Republicans learned in twenty twenty
two when they thought economy is not good, people are
super unhappy, you know, they're all going to vote for us,
and nothing really moved. And that's because Republicans really didn't
offer a real, you know, stellar alternative to what the
Democrats had.

So people just voted for the guy they always voted for.
And I just kind of believe that that's going to
be true again because the Democrats haven't really.
Speaker 3 (10:46):
Put a positive vision on the table. So the Booker
thing about Iran is just another case of Democrats just
you know, changing the narrative to complain about Trump. But
even if they cause vision there, there's nothing good. They
don't have an alternative.
Speaker 1 (11:03):
Non create that narrative. All that would do is open
a door. They still don't have a message or a
candidate to walk through it.
Speaker 4 (11:12):
Yes, exactly, you know, and particularly out a run, they
don't have what they Their.

Message on a run has been well, we had to.

Solve under Obama.

Everybody knows that's ridiculous that we wouldn't be here if
Obama had and screwed this up.

Moves the bubbles, and I don't even think it's a
top twenty issue.

getter that people think they are, But are are the
Are the numbers still going to be that high in November?
I don't think so. And because you know, honestly, whether
there's a deal or not, we're already seeing lots of
workarounds on the energy front. Yeah. That and the more

this drags out, the more people are less dependent on
the actual movement of oil through the Straits, and and
and again that that actually puts the Iranian in a
in an Iranians in a place, because the more people
can find other way to get energy to market, the
less even the less the Iranians have.

To right, and I don't think they're going to be able.

To sustain militarily a block hated the Straits.

an anti incumbent referendum that seems to be blossoming at
a bad time for Democrats might be more of a

it possible still for two Republicans to make the runoff?

conversation with John Decker, our White House correspondent, about Jill Biden.
There's something more that stinks to high Heaven in this
Jill Biden story. I even wonder what role she was playing,
which she was doing at cabinet meeting heads of the table,
what she was doing to lead the rebellion on Joe
(20:38):
Biden's behalf for leaving office. It seemed to be her
hunger for power, not Joe's, and that kind of comes
forward in this book. The biggest problem for her and
the Democrats nobody wants to relive the Biden years. It's
such a non eventful or bad memory. It's as if
it never happened. So it's very inconvenient timing for the Democrats.

The heck happened? Now, the truth of what happened. The
DNC three times bait and switched their own voters from
Bernie to Hillary in twenty sixteen, from Bernie to Biden
in twenty twenty, and then from Biden to Kamala. And
this book covers two things. One her problems with Kamala

because of her power hungry hunger, and then her revised history. Ultimately,
the biggest problem for Joe Biden is she's wanting you
to believe first and foremost, she never saw anything in
Joe Biden that looked cognitively impaired before or after that debate,
But during that debate she was scared. Listen, I wasn't horrified.

I was frightened because I had never ever seen Joe
like that before or since.

Number one she was so scared she let him finish
the debate. Number two, she was so scared she praised
him after the debate. Joe, you answered all the questions
you did so great, like who dropped dead? Made her
campaign manager or president? Why is she doing the memoir
and not the former president? And she was so scared
they went to waffle house. But think about that statement

that nobody's buying on the left or the right, that
she never sought any signs of her husband having any
problems before or since.

When's the last time you saw biracial couples on TV.

loyalty is going to win no matter what kind of

he were able to survive in Maine, we don't have
a candidate problem. We got a voter problem. We got
a two party stranglehold, and such loyalty will elect anything

really what they're facing. There's nobody thinks that Maribas has

done a good job, nobody, but will party loyalty get
her over the race or will they explore someone that
shares their outrage and has legitimate ideas on how to
fix things. And the same could be said for the
state as well. In fact, Bill Maher addressed a really
inconvenient truth that I hope is on the minds of

voters in California today.

Did you know that A black fourth grader in Mississippi
is two and a half times as likely to be
proficient in math and reading as.

One in California.

Mississippi is kicking our ass in education and for way
less money. We're thirty seventh in fourth grade reading their ninth.
Texas is kicking our ass in green energy. The average
time to get solar panels connected there was three to
four months, about one thousand days faster than it took me.
Remember when I was trying to get my solar looked up.

It would have been quicker to build a windmill. Texas
has passed California in solar and blows away California when
it comes to wind and energy storage. How does a
state with no pro climate policies produce better climate results
than a state where here, even though we have so
much better stickers on our bumper pres world, the.

and Morgan yesterday, I thought that was one of my

we also talked to five o'clock hour about this. It's
going to go one of two ways with platter They're
going to swallow well them, or they're going to biden
him or both. To swall well with him is to
just pile on to where he has to step down
because they have till July to insert another candidate. It
would have to be an independent, but they could cut

bait and Joe biden this thing with a new candidate,
or hope he just goes away. Either way, how much
is main going to cost them and their ability to
get the Senate? Time will tell that this candidate in
Maine is blowing up in their face, so they're left
with trying to find a gain somewhere else or trying
to salvage it. Time will tell. What was telling was
Senator Booker's visit on this week, because there was no
(27:59):
defense soever. Now, I think Bernie Sanders tried to defend Platiner,
not so much on the view and not so much
with Corey Booker. Yeah, I have concerns. That guy has
questions to answer, and that's what campaigns are for. But
when I go all over New Jersey and then he
tippots to try to make the case against Trump, well
(28:19):
that's not going to work, not in Maine anyway. So
no defense whatsoever. They'd like him to go away, and
I'm sure there's movements behind the scenes to get him
to go away. Heck, even the views not buying him.

But it is disturbing, and it is horrible, and why
can't we do better?

Why can't we avalue?
Speaker 10 (28:37):
It's not what we're cathlmizing your morals and values and integrity.
To be honest, his sexing is the least of my constory.

I thought.

Graham Plattner trashed a purple Heart recipient, said he didn't
deserve to live to Famed fallen Navy seal Chris Kyle
downplayed how hard it is to report sexual assault in
the military, repeatedly used anti Gosler's and homophobic post as
recently as twenty twenty one, called himself an avowed conis
and has a Nazi tattoo for twenty years that he's
since covered up. This guy just seems like a guy
(29:05):
of not very good character. And there are a lot
of options in this country. And by the way, there
are other paths for Democrats to win. Just win a
different state. You need four seats. Look at Alaska, look
at Iowall, look at Texas. Don't die on the hill
of a guy who is going to be headache for
you for years.
Speaker 7 (29:19):
And not to make this political, because I'm usually not
the one that does that, but.
Speaker 10 (29:22):
Watching that video of the wife saying, you know, don't
spend energy on these ads.
Speaker 1 (29:26):
The problem with these ads is.
Speaker 4 (29:27):
They like it true.
Speaker 1 (29:29):
I mean, when the view is not buying your cover story,
that's a big problem. This is Fox News, so you
expect it to be pro prat and negative Bass, but
still a pretty pretty revealing piece of audio, to say
the least.
Speaker 7 (29:42):
Jaron Bass is an incumbent Democrat with all of the
establishment behind her. She's got the unions, she's got the governor,
she's got Kamala Harris, but she can't crack twenty six
twenty seven percent. So that is not about Spencer Pratt.
Speaker 1 (29:54):
That is about her.
Speaker 7 (29:55):
When you've got a ceiling that low and you're the
incumbent mayor, that is your constitution one's telling you you're fired.
So Spenser Pratt, it's fascinating to watch a Republican hasn't
been mayor in Los Angeles since two thousand and one,
so it's been.
Speaker 1 (30:10):
Twenty five years.
Speaker 7 (30:11):
And I think if he gets elected, he's going to
get elected, Yes, because people are angry because they feel
like the government has failed them.
Speaker 1 (30:18):
Now, the other interesting part of this is that, you know,
mayor's races aren't supposed to be partisan, they're municipal, they're
issue driven. An issue driven is an incumbent that has
failed them, the perception of an incumbent that has failed them.
We talked earlier with James Carafano from Prague and he
was saying, you know, I just don't see the midterms
being so definitive for the Democrats. You can create narratives,
(30:42):
you can create an open door of discontent, but you
still have to have ideas and you still have to
have candidates and solutions to walk through those doors. And
that's really a party wide problem for them that, in
addition to the party being at war with itself, who's
going to walk through that door back? Yes, Now, to
make matters even worse, Pratt is an example of somebody
(31:06):
who has an open door and the ability to cut
through and walk through it. He did it in the
debate with a really shining moment and her with a
really bad moment. He's done it in campaign ads, He's
done it in Internet. He's done it in capturing the
minds and hearts of so many celebrities that we outlined
in the first hour, from Joe Rogan, two others. This
(31:29):
guy's like a rising star out of reality TV and
has really come on strong. Now the polls suggest we're
in the final stretch and he's flying up on the outside.
Speaker 4 (31:43):
Now.
Speaker 1 (31:43):
The reason we issued a severe Shenanigan Watch in effect
for all of California is they can harvest and collect
and count mail in votes from up to a week
after the election. So who knows the impact of that
and the governor's race or the mayor's race. I've looked
(32:03):
at all of it, consumed all of it, digested all
of it, and flushed all of it. And what I
see is Bass and Pratt in a runoff. And what
I see in the governor's race is what I believe
is going to be a Bishera and Hilton runoff, but
it could be both Democrats. Tyer could be coming second.
(32:25):
We'll wait and see tomorrow. You know, when I talked
about journalism being dead, I said it wasn't a victory
for the right, even though it was a stranglehold for
the left. It'll be at defeat for our our republic.
Here's a great example. It's our two hundred and fiftieth birthday.
We should have all eyes on the Declaration of Independence,
(32:46):
and all eyes are being forced everywhere but there. And
why can't we have a birthday party? Because we're not
capable of getting long enough to being Americans. And boy
didn't ms Now's Ali Velshi kind of summarized those feelings.
Speaker 6 (33:04):
Anniversaries are imperfect records of the thing which is being celebrated.
In America's case, anniversaries often gloss over the racial dynamics
underlying much of America's history and politics, issues that remain
unsolved because America has never actually fully reckoned with its
racist past and its original founding sin of slavery. In
(33:25):
one month, America will mark the two hundred and fiftieth
anniversary of its founding. Like previous anniversaries, there is a
deep unease about this.
Speaker 1 (33:33):
I feel a deep unease. Yeah, of course you do.
My hope was that the Declaration of Independence being the
focus in two hundred and fifty years of this covenant
together could be a healing force. That's if the focus
is on our covenant, our document. I don't think we
(33:56):
can divide. Our way to unity is winning. Are we
focused on our intent or are we focused on our divisions.
It's only June second, we got a month and two days,
but it looks like we're more focused on our dysfunction
rather than our solutions. Everybody, I'm not joking.
Speaker 7 (34:16):
I don't think we should be taking the advice from
a group of people who can't define what a woman is.
Speaker 1 (34:22):
That was just complete that your sounds of the day.
