Speaker 1 (00:00):
Hey gang, it's me Michael. You can listen to your
morning show live. Make us a part of your morning
routine or your drive to work companion on great stations
like Talk Radio ninety eight point three and fifteen ten
WLAC in Nashville, Tupoulos News and Talk one oh one
point one and ten sixty WKMQ, and how about Talk
six fifty KSTE in Sacramento, California. Love to have you

(00:21):
listen live, but are grateful you're here now for the
podcast Enjoy.

Speaker 2 (00:25):
Well two three, starting your morning off right, A new
way of talk, a new way of understanding.

Speaker 1 (00:33):
Because we're in this together. This is your morning show
with michael'dill charm seven minutes after the hour, Good morning,
and welcome to July Tuesday, July, the first year of
Our Lord, twenty twenty five on the air and streaming
live on your iHeartRadio app. This is your morning show.
I'm Michael del Jorno. Honored to serve you. Aron says

(00:54):
it's open to nuke talks if the US would rule
out any further attacks. Apparently it was more effective than
the left. What have you believed? He sent a vote?
Rama continues, though John Fetterman is tired and he wants
to go home. Elon must says he'll form a new
party if this big, beautiful bill has passed and the
Diddy Combs trial heads back to deliberation today and a

(01:14):
deal has been cut. In Idaho, Roy O'Neil is our
national correspondence here for our morning briefing, and I call
it that because we have that many stories to cover.
Let's start with coburger. Obviously, there's two ways to look
at this. A lot of Americans are seeing, here's a
coward that killed four young girls. He's not willing to
face the death sentence. No, I get why he took

(01:34):
the plea. The question is why did the prosecution offer it.
If the death penalty's on the table and this is
as bad as it gets, why isn't it being sought.
I think that's how one of the family members at
least believes.

Speaker 3 (01:47):
Yeah, look, there are plenty of arguments that could be
made that you could say that you want to avoid
the expense. You know, this would have bankrupted little Moscow, Idaho,
because they'd have to sequester everyone in the capitol in
Boise for the months of the trial. You could say,
and it would be a heavy financial burden. And then look,
things can happen at trials that you don't expect that

(02:08):
could have thrown out key evidence that it puts Coburger
at the scene of the crime, and this avoids any
potential pitfall here and that way it can and plus
try to find a jury in Idaho that doesn't already have.

Speaker 1 (02:22):
An opinion in the case. That would have been a
struggle in and of itself.

Speaker 3 (02:26):
So you also avoid the trauma of opening up old
wounds right and discussing all this over again.

Speaker 1 (02:33):
But it's difficult, you know.

Speaker 3 (02:35):
We have heard at least from one family that says
they're outraged with this decision by the prosecution. They wanted
the prosecution to go for the death penalty, but they've
opted to take this plea deal that we'll hear more about.

Speaker 1 (02:47):
Today, we learned more about the shooter in the ambush
that turns out to be a twenty year old who
spent his entire life wanting to be a firefighter and
in the end he ambushes and kills two, injures another,
and then takes his own life. Is a sad story.

Speaker 3 (03:04):
Yeah, apparently pretty much a transient to twenty years old
living out of the van he had. Apparently these firefighters
had asked him to move the van, and then that
We're not sure the chicken and the egg here which
came first, but there was some the firefighters had told
him to move the van in which he was living,
and at some point later it led to the shooting.
Now exactly how that all transpired in terms of the

(03:28):
TikTok exactly, it's a little unclear.

Speaker 1 (03:30):
But yeah, this guy was a troubled young man.

Speaker 3 (03:32):
Apparently lived with from parent to parent to grandparent and
hopped around most of his life.

Speaker 1 (03:38):
Yeah, no manifesto, though we get killed. I guess the
best glimpse from the grandfather who brought up the hole
wanted to be a firefighter, but he was too short.
Other than that kind of new from the beginning, the
motive was going to be either some kind of a
personal motive or a political motive. And it turned out.

(03:58):
Look it looks early on and be very personal and troubled. Right, yeah,
you know, we were just talking off the air. This
is terrible to do to you right as I go
into it. But there is something about this ditty trial
that I don't you know, I mean, yeah, scumbag that's
been proven. I don't know that it's gotten the interest
people think, and I don't know how that plays into

(04:21):
how America reacts when it gets a verdict. But we
go into day two of liberation. What do we need
to know?

Speaker 3 (04:26):
Yeah, about five hours of talks yesterday. Two questions from
the jury, one of them about you know, what exactly
do you mean when you say the distributing of a
controlled substance? Does that just mean giving it to somebody?
Or is it selling it? Or what is it? So
some questions there. Also, they sent a note about an
hour into the deliberations saying that they were concerned one

(04:46):
of the jurors would not be able to follow the
judge's instructions.

Speaker 1 (04:51):
So that's a little gray.

Speaker 3 (04:52):
There might be some more clarification when the jury returns
about two hours from now.

Speaker 1 (04:57):
All Right, Roy O'Neil is going to be back in
the third hour. We're going to talk a little bit
about President Trump headed to the Alligator Alcatraz location in Florida.
Roy'll have the latest on that coming up in the
third hour. We're talking about poles of plenty. I want
to come back to this, make no mistake about it.
The leading candidate for the Democrats as of right now,

(05:17):
which you know we're going to get through. Well, we
just got through one of the greatest presidential weeks in history.
Now you could hate him or you could love him,
but you can't argue how much Donald Trump got done
last week and how remarkably everything went his way, from

(05:37):
the airstrikes to take nukes away from Iran to orchestrating
the peace within thirty hours. In today's headline, iron now
wanting to talk further, as long as you stop attacking us.
Then the two percent to five percent of GDP contributions
from NATO nations to what the Supreme Court paved the

(05:59):
way for injustice. So he'll wrap that up the remainder
of this year, dem will head into holiday mode and
then we're briskly right into midterm election of mode. And
I think in this case, midterm is going to trip
the presidential along the way as well. America has a

(06:20):
hard time in this twenty four hour news cycle day
and age keeping its eye on in you know, the
midterms and then the next presidential especially when you have
a what would be perceived at that point as an
open presidency. So you're within a year of really starting

(06:41):
the conversation of the twenty twenty eight presidential election. And
you're within a year and a half of it being
in full swing, so we're not that far away. And
the leading candidate among Democrats is undecided, far and away
at twenty three percent. Is this a party with a leader?

(07:03):
Is this a party with a clear message? Is this
a party with a pretty certain future? No? And the
Emerson pole suggesting that the leading candidate is undecided? Is
your reason, Robby Manuel talk about last to first, because
that's who I believe the DNC is going to push.
Robbie Manuel sitting at one percent. Wes Moore is at

(07:26):
two percent. At three percent compared to twenty three percent.
Undecided is where the party is going to try to
take everyone? Where does the party want to go? Probably
AOC She's sitting at seven percent, Kamala Harris is at
thirteen percent, and Mayor Pete is at sixteen percent undecided

(07:52):
the runaway winner. Now look at the other side, the
Republicans forty six percent are behind jd Vance and a
hypical pathetical twenty twenty eight ballot right next to him,
and probably the other half of the ticket potentially is
Marco Rubio at twelve percent, or could it be the
Florida governor Ron de Santis who's at nine percent. You can,

(08:17):
I mean think about that, six and ten votes are
locked up with JD Vance and Marco Rubio. This is
a party with a message with a leader, Donald Trump,
and the clear view of the heir apparent JD Vance
and Marco Rubio. Jdi Vance the vice presidential choice of
Donald Trump and Marco Rubio, perhaps who the President likes most.

(08:42):
The future of the Republican Party is Trump, isn't the
future of the Republican Party is JD Vance and or
Marco Rubio. Democrats not so much very review of one party.

(09:03):
And by the way, that's a party that is going
to be at odds. So you're going to have. In fact,
if you go back and you add up Bernie Sanders
is at five percent, AOC's at seven percent. You do
realize the Democrats haven't caught wind of this or figured
it out yet, but Bernie's not running and he's passed

(09:25):
the torch to AOC. So you could make a case
that that's going to become AOC at twelve percent, which
would make her an early front runner for a party
trying to go further left against the DNC, who's going
to be trying to rig it for the two that
are pulling the least and trying to go back towards
the American people in the opposite direction of the party.

(09:49):
Twenty twenty eight is very interesting, and how the midterms
may affect twenty twenty eight is yet to be seen.
But that's our polls of plenty today. I wanted to
rep that up. You can see how in our polls
of plenty we're living in a matrix and Republicans are
very proud to be Americans. Democrats are very unproud to

(10:10):
be Americans, and that is driven by their obsession with
Donald Trump, and their biggest dips were Trump the first
term and now Trump the first year of his second term.
But oh the divide when you look at the poles
of plenty today, and if the goal is find common

(10:33):
ground and to unite as a nation, good luck with
that doesn't look very possible. Hey, fourth of July, there's
nothing worth celebrating more than our independence and freedom. But

show with Michael Delchorno. These are your top five stories
of the day. Well, while your senators are up all
night laboring over the Big Beautiful Bill, Elon Muss says
he'll form a new political party of Congress passes this

(12:22):
big Beautiful bill.

Speaker 4 (12:23):
The billionaire and former head of DOGE wrote on x
that if this quote insane spending bill passes, the America
Party will be formed the next day.

Speaker 1 (12:31):
He adds the US needs an alternative to.

Speaker 4 (12:33):
What he called the Democrat Republican uniparty so people actually
have a voice. Earlier, Musk repeated a threat to support
primary challenges to wallmakers who vote for the bill.

Speaker 1 (12:43):
By Mark Mayfield. The Sean Diddy Combs jury is returning
for deliberations today after deliberating for five and a half
hours yesterday. Sarah Lee Kessler as It joins US with
the first day's jury highlights.

Speaker 5 (12:56):
The four persons sent two notes to the judge Monday.
One expressing concern that juror twenty five kat followed the
judges instructions on the law. He sent a note back
saying they're legally obligated to do so and to continue deliberating.
They did, and sent another note to the judge just
before they adjourned, asking about the distribution of controlled substances.

(13:17):
The eight man four woman jury is deciding Diddy's fate
in his federal sex trafficking and racketeering trial. The music
mogul is pleaded not guilty to all charges. If convicted,
he could face life behind bars. I'm Sarah le Kessler.

Speaker 1 (13:32):
President Trump is headed to Florida to see Alligator Alcatraz today.
That's the nickname of the detention facility for illegal immigrants
built in the Everglades near Miami Dade County. Tony Waterman reports.

Speaker 6 (13:43):
State officials fast tracked the project, a necessity, they say,
to handle the migrant crisis, but protests have erupted over
its construction, which is in a remote part of the
Everglades home to native tribes and endangered animals. Critics also
worry the state won't properly protect the detainees from the
surrounding wildlife. Including Crocodile's alligators and Burmese pythons. Tony Waterman, Washington.

Speaker 1 (14:11):
The man is accused of killing four University of Idaho
students in twenty twenty two, will have apparently plead guilty
to avoid the death penalty. Brad Ford has the details.

Speaker 7 (14:21):
Brian Coberger's trial is set to start in August, but
hearing has been set for Wednesday, where he's expected to
plead guilty. The play deal will allow him to avoid
the death penalty. He would serve life in prison without
the possibility of parole. Coburger is accused in the stabbing
deaths of Xana Kernodle, Madison Mogan, Kayla Consolvus, and Ethan Schapin.

Speaker 1 (14:40):
I'm brad Ford, President Trump issuing the City of Los
Angeles and its mayor.

Speaker 8 (14:44):
Lawsuit filed in the Central District of California charges Los
Angeles sanctuary city policies discriminated against federal law enforcement by
treating federal agents differently from other law enforcement authorities. NBC
News reports the suit claims LA policies obstruct the enforcement
of immigration laws and have led to violence, chaos, and
attacks on law enforcement.

Speaker 1 (15:03):
The laws.

Speaker 8 (15:04):
It reportedly names, the City of Los Angeles, the City Council,
and Mayor Karen Bess. I'm Tammy Trhio.

Speaker 1 (15:09):
Paul Simon's A Quiet Celebration tour got real quiet when
he was forced to cancel two shows in Philadelphia over
the weekend due to chronic intense back pain. But it's
say and even have music seeping.

Speaker 4 (15:24):
Parents who have tickets for the future dates of the
tour and need not worry just yet. A statement released
by as Simon reassured that he is planning to finish
the tour. We are hopeful that after this minor surgical procedure,
which has been scheduled in the next few days, Paul
will be able to complete the tour, as well as
looking into returning to make up these dates.

Speaker 1 (15:42):
I'm Mark Mayfield. Notice I'm working even though my procedure
is until Thursday. I'd pat myself on the back, but
it hurts too much. A new study says Americans he's
the only one that's sicker than me. A new study
says Americans are choosing sleepcations over vacations pre Tennis. With
more on this growing trend.

Speaker 9 (16:02):
The American Academy of Sleep Medicine says In the sixties,
Americans slept eight and a half hours a night. Now
it's less than seven, and that trend is making us
seek out sleep opportunities. Travelsitebooking dot Com says fifty eight
percent of us are now looking for vacations that allow
more sleeping and less activity. And there's good reason. Sleep

(16:23):
is awesome. It reduces stress, improves mooth and just feels good.
I'm pre tennis.

Speaker 1 (16:28):
Thanks. You want to cuddle up, doesn't it.

Speaker 10 (16:32):
This is Andy Hickson, formerly of Nashville, now living in Detroit, Michigan,
thanks to iHeartRadio.

Speaker 1 (16:39):
My morning show is your morning show. Hi, It's Michael.
Your morning show can be heard on great radio stations
across the country, like News Talk ninety two point one
and six hundred WREC in Memphis, Tennessee, or thirteen hundred
The Patriot in Tulsa, our Talk six to fifty KSTE
in Sacramento, California. We invite you to listen live while

(17:01):
you're getting ready in the morning. It take us along
for the drive to work, but as we always say,
better late than never. Thanks for joining us for the podcast.
If you're just getting up rolling Aron says, it's open
to nuke talks if the US rules out any further attacks.
Perhaps the bombing was more effective than the Left would
want to give credit, or perhaps they're back to their
old stalling, rebuilding ways. We're going to talk with Lieutenant

(17:24):
Colonel James Carafano about that next hour. They were up
all night with the VODA rama. It continues, John Fetterman crying,
I'm tired and I want to go home. Elon must
threatening to form a third party if that big beautiful
bill is passed and Coberg gets a plea deal in
Idaho in exchange for avoiding the death penalty. That's just
some of the top stories we're working. These go beyond

(17:47):
the news stories while revealing and sometimes entertaining. These these
right here, these are your sounds of the day.

Speaker 11 (17:56):
Out people who measured in online active there's with a
minor and puberty book.

Speaker 1 (18:02):
They're getting a little bit. Any of you in the
media clearly missed the art of the deal. It's going
to work out. This is just a little sound bite.
There are moments of truth even on CNN. Uh this
is CNN's Smirkhanish and he's just kind of outlining everything
Donald Trump is done. And I think what he kind

(18:24):
of concludes by outlining it all and listing it all
is Wow. Maybe this guy is making America great again.
Maybe he is getting everything done. Maybe maybe he's got
us on the run.

Speaker 12 (18:42):
Back at home, Trump claimed that he's reached a trade
deal with China and soon expects the same with India.
Commerce Secretary Howard Lutnek told Bloomberg that the deal was
signed earlier this week. China's Commerce ministry said Friday the
two sides had further confirmed the details of the framework.
Of course, Trump's initial imposition of tariffs reeked havoc on
American markets back in the spring, but now the markets

(19:03):
have rebounded and grown. The S and P five hundred
Nasdaq hit record highs just yesterday. And it's not just
the stock market Inflation. The great economic fear of recent
times seems to be tamed. The rate is now reported
to two point four percent, down from a high of
seven percent just four years ago. Meanwhile, blue collar workers
have seen real wage growth of one point seven percent

(19:25):
in Trump's first five months. This is the largest such
increase in nearly three generations. Notwithstanding its impact on our
national debt, there's also hope among some that Trump's Big
Beautiful Bill will give further financial relief to blue collar
workers as well as create incentives to build more factories
in the US. Some already see this happening. For instance,
General Electric has just announced that it'll invest almost half

(19:48):
a billion dollars in moving production of washing machines from
China to Kentucky. And then there's the border crossings have
slowed to a trickle. According to CBPS may update, Southwest
border incounter have fallen to about two hundred and eighty
to a day, a drop of ninety three percent from
last year and the lowest since the early nineteen sixties.
Perhaps the loudest cheering for those border numbers is coming

(20:11):
from America's Latino community, which might initially sound counterintuitive. On Thursday,
Pew Research released an enormous data analysis of the twenty
twenty four election, which contained several surprises. High on that list,
President Trump won a bigger percentage of the Latino vote
than previously believed. Hillary Clinton had a thirty eight percent

(20:32):
lead over Trump among Hispanics in twenty sixteen. Joe Biden
beat Trump in this demo by twenty five percentage points.
Kamala Harris's margin among these same voters over Trump just
three points. Even more surprising, perhaps, Pew Research concludes that
if everyone had voted in twenty twenty four, contrary to
the widely held belief that higher turnout helps Democrats, Trump

(20:55):
would still have won. The data show forty four percent
of non voters said that they would have gone for
Trump compared to non voters who would.

Speaker 1 (21:03):
Have gone This could go on all morning long, so
we'd have to be careful. I think it's interesting that
in his commentary he goes on and on and on,
but he just arrives at what we already knew. Donald
Trump is winning, and narratives have all died of reality.

(21:26):
So what you have is a obstructionist party and they
can't stop the winning. All Right, this one I love.
This is what will become of that US Senate seat
in North Carolina. And when you ask Harry Enton at CNN,

(21:51):
and he is the guru of all things statistical, could
Laura Trump actually win that race? Oh? And how any
data yet on what Trump's Laura Trump's chances would be
for this race.

Speaker 13 (22:06):
Yeah, if we take a look at the betting markets,
John at this particular point, she's the runaway favorite. To
be the GOP nominee for Senate from North Carolina. Forty
eight percent chance of being that nominee. That is way
up from where we were just yesterday. Mark Robinson, who's
in second, it is only a four percent chance to
be the nominee.

Speaker 1 (22:21):
If Lara Trump.

Speaker 13 (22:21):
Decides to get in the race, that forty eight percent
will jump very quickly. I'm not quite sure. It might
be above ninety percent by the time that she gets in.
Of course, winning the nomination is one thing. Winning the
general elections something else. If you look who the Democrats
might put up, it might be former Governor Roy Cooper.
And Roy Cooper was a fairly popular fellow from North Carolina.
You look at his final approval rating, it was north
of fifty percent in the state of North Carolina. So

(22:43):
she would have an easy run in the primary she
decides run, but she'd have a real find her hands
in the general election.

Speaker 11 (22:48):
So how do what wilatives of presidents do when they
run for all?

Speaker 13 (22:53):
Yeah, you know, I said to myself, is there any
history of this? You know? Ted Kennedy ran in nineteen
hundred and sixty two to be Senator from your homestead.

Speaker 1 (23:00):
All right, Well, that didn't work out for them either,
did it. House Democrat Leader Hakim Jeffries with ABC. Now,
remember when Zorn Mamdani was on Meet the Press. Three

(23:23):
times they tried to get him to denounce the antifada,
and he wouldn't. Now two times they tried to get
House Democrat Leader Hakim Jeffries to answer the question will
you endorse him for Marin? What does this mean for
the party? Here's how that went, big victory. Have you
endorsed him yet? I have not.

Speaker 14 (23:45):
We had a conversation on Wednesday morning where I congratulated
him on the campaign that he ran a campaign that
clearly was relentlessly focused on the high cost of living
in New York City and the economy. He out worked,
he out communicated, and he outorganized the opposition, and that's
clearly why he was successful.

Speaker 1 (24:06):
So what's holding you back from endorsing him right now?
Perhaps the entifada? Well, we don't really know each other.

Speaker 14 (24:15):
Well, our districts don't overlap. I have never had a
substantive conversation with him, and so that's the next step
in terms of this process, to be able to sit down,
which we agreed to do in Central Brooklyn discuss his
vision for moving the city forward.

Speaker 1 (24:31):
This is the leader of the Democrat Party and he
can't figure out whether he's going to endorse an Entifada
supporter and a socialist. Do you think the party has
bigger problems? Scott Jennings does. Yeah.

Speaker 11 (24:46):
If I were Marie, I want to talk about tactics too,
because to talk about this guy's record and his ideas
would absolutely sink the Democratic Party. I mean in one
on the one hand, he says, I don't think there
should be billionaires, and then ten seconds later he says,
but I want to work with them to make sure
there's you know, equality across the city. Working with them
as a euphemism for taxing them into oblivion.

Speaker 1 (25:06):
That's number one. Number two He's.

Speaker 11 (25:08):
Also said he wants to tax people based on their race,
which is one of the most radical things I've ever heard.
Number three says he wants to defund the New York
Police Department. Number four, I think he wants to empty
the jails of violent criminals. If you want to destroy
New York City, this is the person you would elect. Interestingly,
in the post election primary voting analysis, it was these
rich white liberals that supported Mom Donnie. The working class

(25:31):
supported other people, but it was these you know, rich
white liberals in New York City that supported this guy.
Of course they're the only ones that can afford to
leave when he destroys the city.

Speaker 1 (25:39):
So look, this is a problem for the Democrat Party.
Potentially they have an eye problem already with Israel. Now
they have a double eye problem with Israel and Intifadom.
This is all going to play out in New York
City prior to a midterm election. Is Zoran Mandani going

(26:02):
to redefine the Democrat Party or finally, once and for all,
make it crystal clear and reveal to everyone what this
party has become, with no mixed words, with no deception,
with no distortion, just flat out this is what we've become.
And if so, the question becomes, how will the Zoran

(26:24):
Mandani race in New York City not just destroy New
York City but destroy the Democrat Party for the midterms
and beyond. Worse or perhaps more frightening, is this really
the revealing of a strategy of where the left, the
socialist left of the party, that's your Bernies, AOC's they're

(26:49):
making their run and if they win, the party's destroyed
and if they lose, the party's destroyed. But that's okay
because their plan is to take the civil war to
the urban cities. That's the turf in which they plan
to really because remember their goal is to first take

(27:11):
over the Democrat Party then dismantle the Republic. Zooran Mandani
has kind of become the epicenter of the great political
divide in America. I mentioned we're going to talk to
Lieutenant Colonel James Carafano about this, But is the real

(27:32):
play first to remove the clear and present danger, then
orchestrate peace, and then put in place the Abraham Accords
to secure and ensure peace in the future. It's all
been building up to the Abraham Accords. For An Affairs
analyst Harley Lippman believes that's exactly what's coming.

Speaker 2 (27:56):
It's more than possible, it's likely to happen. I predict
it will have and it's due to President Trump because
President and Trump showed extraordinary leadership and courage in challenging
Iran in a way that no American president has ever done.
And he successfully attacked Iran, and Iran was defeated by
close coordination between the United States and its close ally.

(28:18):
Israel and the nations in the Middle East saw that
that they could count on America's reliable ally and they
could work with America that transformed the region.

Speaker 1 (28:27):
So this is groundbreaking.

Speaker 2 (28:29):
There's nothing like this that we've seen in our lifetime,
and it's going to make dramatic changes in this part
of the world. That's going to uplift the life the
life of people living in Arab countries that have been
suffering so much.

Speaker 1 (28:41):
Lietenant Colonel James Carphon has been joined us in about
twenty minutes to discuss this and what's next for Iran.
And that, my friends, is your sounds up.

that people are afraid to have. But if you understand
what first of all, with Mandani, the first thing you

That's the call of the Hidiths and the Surahs to populate,

(30:28):
to infiltrate, to agitate, and then wage war as political Islam.
One oh one. But yes, you're very astute to be
concerned that how could somebody believing the opposite of the
oath they're taking really mean it all? Right? Time? If
