Speaker 1 (00:25):
A new way of talk, a new way of understanding,
because we're in this together. This is your morning show
with Michael.

Speaker 2 (00:35):
Bill charm. You cannot fell O'Riley like that, can't help it.

Speaker 1 (00:41):
The best meltdown ever was Casey casem because you just
don't expect the wa school.

Speaker 2 (00:46):
Yeah, you can find all this stuff on YouTube.

Speaker 1 (00:48):
Andeall we used to have to get cassette tapes back
in the What People nineties. The poo pool coming out
of his mouth, poopol mouth, Hello America. Then he's all
nice and all right. Eight minutes after the hour, good morning,
and welcome to Tuesday, August the fourth, twenty twenty sixth.
This is the platinum hour of your morning show honor
to serve you. I'm Michael del Journal. A lot of

(01:08):
people say, you know it used to be you see.
People don't realize this, but I was a manager. I
was a much better program director than I was a talent. Really,
and I can tell you you don't want to have
an hour of a show that sounds completely different from
the other two hours.

Speaker 2 (01:28):
And yet it's what we love most about this show.

Speaker 1 (01:30):
Right, we're ourselves in the Platinum I kind of started
this by calling it the Platinum Hour. And you set
the standard well, because when you do a morning show,
you know the people that are up right, like in
the Central time Zone, you're up at five o'clock in
the morning.

Speaker 2 (01:42):
You're not your average Joe.

Speaker 1 (01:43):
No, I mean you're the kind of mom that is
up making the lunches, making breakfast. I mean you are parenting,
or you know, you're a mover and a shaker, having
to be a mom and in business or a dad
who's running companies, or how about in the West Coast
where they're up at this time to do business with
the These are the real doers. People are writing songs

(02:04):
about this hour, though who wrote a song?

Speaker 4 (02:08):
There's no our luck to platinum, our luck No, no, wow, informant,
maybe more than.

Speaker 2 (02:19):
You gain a special power.

Speaker 5 (02:20):
World And when you're here reading that extra hour, So
go on with the show.

Speaker 2 (02:26):
It's your mom, Jorno.

Speaker 4 (02:31):
Was that Stephen just playing Jim Franklin Tennessee.

Speaker 1 (02:37):
Yeah, it's even got its own you know. But I
just like the we're just ourselves, you know. I was
looking over what Red would say is the headlines today,
and he's right, they're the headlines today. And yet I
wake up first with my aura ring telling me take
it it, take it.

Speaker 5 (02:55):
Hit.

Speaker 1 (02:57):
You required eight hours, did you know? So I'm all
ready to go to bed now. First of all, a
parent is a parent as a parent.

Speaker 2 (03:04):
I know at.

Speaker 1 (03:05):
Twenty one years old, at twenty four years old, I
was running everything at CBN except the seven hundred club
in the Family Channel.

Speaker 2 (03:18):
Oh wow, that's nice.

Speaker 1 (03:19):
I don't say that to impress you, just to impress
upon you. And I was driving and flying everywhere.

Speaker 2 (03:25):
I don't know.

Speaker 1 (03:26):
I don't think my mom was so home worrying about me.
She didn't even know where I was.

Speaker 2 (03:29):
Did you get your budget done before Christmas?

Speaker 1 (03:32):
I got it done, or I wouldn't have hated Chris
me if you think you're going why do you like
the pastor being just My favorite Pat story is when
the hurricane was coming and.

Speaker 2 (03:45):
He's praying to God. He's got his eyes squinched, just
like on the seven NC Club, It.

Speaker 1 (03:48):
Lord, move that storm, move it north. And I'm like,
right in the middle of his prayer with Pat, what
you can't pray this storm north? Why would you do
that to other people? That's their problem. If they're now praying, send.

Speaker 2 (04:04):
It back out to the own ship.

Speaker 1 (04:05):
If you're gonna pray, imagine if in that boat they
wake up, Jesus.

Speaker 2 (04:10):
We're gonna all die.

Speaker 1 (04:12):
Where's your faith? And he casts the storm towards a
different boat. Somebody else gets it. My favorite Patch story.
But anyway, but you know, my mom wasn't listen. So,
but we live in a day and age where you
have life three sixty and so you know, Andrew is
tracking where she is and the canyons and she's three
hours from her hotel and it's gonna get dark, and

(04:35):
Andrew just loses it.

Speaker 2 (04:37):
And then Anna just loses it and turns off her phone.
Well that was you know, Oh boy.

Speaker 1 (04:43):
So I am I am more the you know, I
try I strive to be like the prodigal son's father.
I just sit at home my pastor a long time ago,
when he went through a wild face as a teenager,
his dad was pastor, and he came home late one
night stinking of cigarettes and booze, and you know, he's

(05:06):
upstairs walking, walking in the hallway and there's his dad
standing in his bedroom doorway, in his own father's bedroom
doorway right, and he just looks at his son. He goes,
your mother and I are praying for your son. And
he closed the door and went to bed.

Speaker 2 (05:20):
So all you can do. I want to be that dad.

Speaker 1 (05:22):
So I was trying to be that dad, and so
you know, you know, finally she texted, She's like, well,
mom's freaking out. I sai, Well, I'm not Mom, And
then I mean, how did you taking a lot of pictures,
you know, because she's talking about this canyon and everything.

Speaker 2 (05:34):
And I said, okay, I was just talking.

Speaker 1 (05:36):
And then after I was done, then I kind of
backslid into worry because I'm what I did is I
made the mistake of clicking on the satellite and zooming in,
and I can see that it is going to be
dark within the hour. She's two hours from the hotel.
And I mean these roads winding through little I think

(05:57):
they call it Little Grand Canyon outside of Utah, right,
And you know, then I start worrying because I watch
a lot of.

Speaker 2 (06:04):
Forty eight Hours.

Speaker 1 (06:06):
It always starts with a flat tire. Then the abductors
come in the van. Next thing you know, you're tortured,
and and so you know, I'm a little wired. And
then I thought, only I can try to fall asleep.
And that's when You Got Mail came on. How do
you turn off You Got Mail? Seriously, seriously, how do

(06:27):
you turn that off? Is that not the greatest ending
of all movies?

Speaker 2 (06:33):
You Got Mail?

Speaker 1 (06:34):
In fact, let's make that the talk back today that
everybody else will have to live with because we set
the tone in the Platinum Hour. Was there a better
movie ending than You Got Mail? I've got to tell you,
I've got it. This is a very, very I wanted
it to be used so badly. If it's Tom Hanks,
I will turn it off.

Speaker 2 (06:52):
Well it is a little Both of them have always
been like that.

Speaker 1 (06:56):
I always look at her and goes, oh, Tom Hanks
is being Tom Hanks, And oh, look's being cute. Meg Ryan,
because they pretty much the same characters that I've I've
seen a lot of Tom Hanks movies and pieces, but
I've really never seen Tom Hanks in its entirety. Well,
you got Males of Dose, Yeah, and I think it's
the greatest movie. If somebody's got a better movie ending,
then you got Male.

Speaker 2 (07:17):
I'd love to hear it. And I know a lot
of you are wanting to know what Superman was like.

Speaker 1 (07:22):
I have been threatened by my wife not to say
the things I said after the movie. It would alienate audience,
maybe make some people mad at me.

Speaker 2 (07:31):
You don't a spider Man.

Speaker 1 (07:33):
I am simply going to say, I understand why people
like it.

Speaker 2 (07:40):
I get it.

Speaker 1 (07:41):
It's just not for me. That's my formal statement. I
will let Sophie Cunningham of the Indiana Fever take it
from there with more courage. This is you know, I
can't watch something that isn't real. Spiders and humans do

(08:01):
not combine real. If they could combine in DNA fount
you would.

Speaker 2 (08:07):
Have done it.

Speaker 1 (08:09):
It doesn't happen. I just can't get And then they
always mix in a little bit of the humors. He
get the nervous giggles, you know, like the people. And
there was one point where he has a connection I'll
put it that way, and the audience starts clapping. It
was just too shoely lydy for me, but I understand
why people love it, and it has now jumped, if

(08:30):
you will, So we yesterday we're talking about being the
second greatest opening ever. Looks like after further review, spider
Man Brand New Day has surpassed Avengers Endgame. It is
now just going to have to raise the ticket prices.
Then I don't even ask me what we paid. Oh
my gosh, I can't even imagine. And then we got
two number ones, which is a large drink, large popcorn

(08:52):
and a candy.

Speaker 6 (08:54):
Of which can I just talk about somebody if I
can spam? All right?

Speaker 2 (08:58):
Why be serious?

Speaker 6 (08:59):
Now if you've never taken a large theater popcorn, of course,
immediately walk over to the melted butter section. And I
you know a lot of people want voter ID, voter ID.
Listen the minute they put the butter outside the counter,
or I could regulate the amount.

Speaker 2 (09:19):
Of butter in the popcorn. That was a breakthrough.

Speaker 6 (09:23):
And may I say thank the good Lord above. And
I do believe in him and I'll see him soon
at seven hundred pounds. But I love that they don't
make you use an ID to get the butter.

Speaker 2 (09:36):
So I walk up. I butter my popcorn.

Speaker 6 (09:39):
But have you ever taken a creamy chocolate covered raising that?

Speaker 2 (09:45):
Yeah?

Speaker 6 (09:46):
Take six seven whenever you can fit in your hand.
Usually I'm just shoveling the popcorn in. But put about
two or three of those delicious chocolate coated res events
with the popcorn as you're chewing, combine the textjuice.

Speaker 2 (10:03):
That just can't be good for your arteries.

Speaker 6 (10:06):
And it was then every now and then some of
the salt with the little kernels get caught in your throat.
Then you take an ice cold step up diet coke.

Speaker 2 (10:15):
Yes, that's what I do.

Speaker 6 (10:16):
I butter my large popcorn with raisin nets, but I
always have a tab or a diet coke with it.
I'm watching my sensible calories a fine tab, so get
rid of it.

Speaker 1 (10:27):
I had a I had an English teacher, Cheryl Welsh. Gosh,
if Keith Andrews is listening right now, he's her tap bets,
they're gonna double over. So Cheryl Welsh was one of
the start tell me to shut up what do you
think somebody's gonna pay you to speak someday?

Speaker 2 (10:42):
Shut up?

Speaker 1 (10:44):
Which I did bump into her at a football game
and she had miraculously lost like five hundred pounds and
then died. And she asked me what I did, and
I just looked at her. I said, I talk and
I walked up. But anyway, I should have been nicer
because she died. But anyway, she used to make me
go get her food before class.

Speaker 2 (11:00):
Imagine that, right, what? Yeah?

Speaker 1 (11:03):
So she go, mister del Jordan and show he's licked
her lips like this, go get honest to god, this
is not an exaggeration, can you go? And she'd hand
me like a five, go get me three barbecued free doos,
a Snickers, and a tab. And I would always, even

(11:24):
at fifteen years old, like, oh my god, a nick, aren't.

Speaker 2 (11:27):
I I go? Cheryl? What come on? Yeah? Three fredos,
a Snickers? Come on, let's do a real coke. I
want a tab? Do the real coke.

Speaker 1 (11:44):
Go ahead, let's finish this sugar high.

Speaker 2 (11:48):
Go get it.

Speaker 1 (11:49):
So anyway, that's where tab comes from. All those things
are in my head. Tab all right, So Spider Man,
I get it. And if you like those kinds of movies.
I think you're going to love it?

Speaker 2 (11:59):
Is my review. Did I passed the Andrea test? Sure?

Speaker 1 (12:03):
I didn't sleep because I was watching You Got Mail?
And seriously, is there a better Hollywood ending to a
movie then You Got Mail? If so, use that talkback button.
Listening on the iHeart app, and my sleepering says that
I need to take it easy, So I will. I
will simply say that if you're just waking up, the
President is calling iron unbelievably duplicitous. Either make a deal

(12:27):
or I'm going to bomb you into the Stone Age.
And yet even that is an Iranian Groundhog's Day movie,
isn't it. We'll have more with the Lieutenant colonel, Ladies
and gentlemen. James Carafano will be on deck this morning.
We also have the White House John Decker, he was
there for that big debate in Virginia. We got election day,

(12:48):
voters are headed the polls we are going to be.

Speaker 2 (12:52):
Voting in. Did I do with my list?

Speaker 7 (12:57):
Jay?

Speaker 1 (12:57):
I told you I need to take it easy today.
I was like, your well, I wrote it somewhere? Where
did I write it? I could wing it. Missouri is
the big one that Michigan is the big one everybody
cares about. But I think it was Michigan, Missouri, Virginia, Washington.

(13:17):
But Kansas there it is, yeah, Kansas, Michigan, Missouri, Virginia,
and Washington. Of course, all lies are on that Senate
race in Michigan with Abdul lsa Ed, the anti Israel,
anti capitalist Islamist running for the US Senate.

Speaker 2 (13:31):
And what else do we got today?

Speaker 7 (13:33):
Oh?

Speaker 1 (13:33):
No powerball jackpot winner. So there's if you didn't buy
your ticket. That was something really bothering my wife yesterday
I forgotten to buy my lottery ticket. Well, there was
no winner, so you still have time. And a man
suspected of starting one of the massive wildfires threatening Spokane
has been arrested in fire Crews from twelve different states
and including international partners, have descended upon Spokane to help

(13:54):
fight the fires. Axios is our main one on one
time Axios with a double header story one the Democrats
have no leader and two if l si ed Winston, Michigan,
Katie barred the doors, it's a runaway train. That more,
if you miss a little, you're gonna miss a lot.

(14:15):
And if you miss a lot, well, we're gonna miss you.
So the morning's three characters this morning, well that's I
don't even remember doing them. That's that's the fun. But
I'm taking it easy. It is Tuesday, August the fourth.
Good morning.

Speaker 2 (14:26):
Hey.

Speaker 1 (14:27):
When it comes to supplements, there's only really two things
that matter. Right, does it work? And can you trust it?

Speaker 2 (14:32):
Now?

Speaker 1 (14:32):
I can tell you really Factor works and you can
trust it. I'm glad I did pain finally got to
my hands. Never mind the back and other things that
you know, the source of pain is inflammation. When I
got to my hands and I couldn't hold the golf club. Ah,
Then suddenly I'm hearing the voice of Glenn beck releef
Factor in pain, get my quick start, start taking it.

(14:55):
Don't really notice anything for a few days, and then
I kind of forgot about it. Maybe two weeks later,
I'm golfing and I'm like, my back doesn't hurt, my
hands don't hurt.

Speaker 2 (15:05):
Did I take Adville? Imagine how dumb I am? Did
I take Advil? And then at dawn zomic No, you've
been taking Relief Factor, dummy.

Speaker 1 (15:13):
Doug took Relief Factor for nearly a year before he
convinced his wife who was a special needs teacher to
try it. She had been using assistance just to move
up and down the hallway at school. Now she's back
on her feet every day and she doesn't have to
leave the job she loves. Everybody has a relief Factor story,
you know the one I want. I want to hear

Speaker 2 (16:01):
This is your morning show with Michael del Choino.

Speaker 7 (16:05):
Michael Tapp in College Station.

Speaker 2 (16:08):
I'm driving, I don't want to wreck. Don't work old
high school story.

Speaker 8 (16:12):
Please, I'm laughing too hard?

Speaker 2 (16:14):
May it too hard? Have a great day, Michael.

Speaker 9 (16:17):
Never mind all the bad things going on in the world, Let's.

Speaker 2 (16:19):
Talk about movie ending. Come on, you can't beat the
notebook that is the Samion.

Speaker 3 (16:26):
Oh no, Michael, I think I'm gonna go with the
mist for the best movie endings.

Speaker 4 (16:30):
Hey, Michael, it's Rob your Friend up in Knoxville. And
the greatest movie ending of all time is in Casa Blanca.
Classic film, classic ending, and it stands the test of time.

Speaker 2 (16:46):
And this coming from a forty nine year old.

Speaker 1 (16:48):
Yeah, Casablanca, by the way, whenever, if there's one day
it was cool and we open the windows, and the
neuro association back to my childhood. I mean I was
in Arlington Heights and I could hear the ambient noises
ab outside, a distant siren maybe or you know whatever,

(17:09):
And the same thing happens when I ever watched a
black and white movie, because my mom made me watch
all those and she just said the whole time with
a smile, gone, it's a beautiful story, is it? And
I'd be like, is it over yet? Yeah, Costablanca would
be up there. I gotta say, Notebook is up there,
You Got Mail is up there. Let's keep this list
going greatest movie endings ever. Because I didn't sleep last night,

(17:30):
I had to watch the end of You Got Mayo?
Top five stories and are one on one time is next.

Speaker 10 (17:37):
Hi, this is John Fogerty from Center Field and my

(18:10):

Speaker 2 (18:11):
Enjoy, Rise and Shine you sleepy heads.

Speaker 1 (18:15):
Ernie Bird gets the worm, Sleepy squirrel, missus a nut,
throw that leg over the bed.

Speaker 2 (18:20):
Make your way to the coffee pot.

Speaker 1 (18:22):
Enjoin this Tuesday, August the fourth, already in progress. Good morning,
This is your Morning Show on Michael del Jarno. Honored
to spend time with you and serve you. Jeffrey, of course,
keeping the music flowing. Red's keeping an eye on the
top stories. Voters are heading to the polls today another
big primary election day. Yes, it involves Kansas, Michigan, Missouri,
Virginia and Washington, but all lies around Michigan and that

(18:45):
Senate race with Abdul el Sayed. Listen, if you let
me put it to you this way, if you were Hollywood casting,
would you cast el Sayed for the United to play
the role of the United States Senator any more than
John Fetterman. But I think it'd cast him for other him.
The guy was like a warrior. I think he's wearing

(19:06):
my irresistible met men tees that make you look all jacked.

Speaker 2 (19:13):
He is, well.

Speaker 1 (19:15):
Vetterman is the hoodie that is making sense, and he's
the tight te that is Islamist socialism. This kind of
leads to our one on one time. Axios did two stories,
one with the headline Democrats lack a leader right now. Well,
think about that. Here's the gist of the story. You're

(19:35):
probably less than six hundred days from the Democrats having
a true leader who can show and shape the party's direction.
That's presuming the nominee becomes that leader. But until Super
Tuesday March seventh, twenty twenty eight, or even well beyond,
Democrats will be leaderless and likely split between the rising
socialist energy and more traditional establishment liberalism.

Speaker 2 (20:00):
Keep in mind.

Speaker 1 (20:01):
Also the DNC chair Ken Martin likely to be ousted,
says Axios, leaving behind a hot financial, cashless dumpster fire.
So here's the bottom line. They're broke. There's a radical
leftist takeover within the party. And it's not bottom up,

(20:22):
it's top down. This is an outside movement funded with
very deep pockets, not like the Tea Party that was organic,
that was going to serve and make America better. You've
got to deal with the debt or trump Ism that
grew out of the Republican Party, absorbing the Tea Party,

(20:45):
which is doing what the Republican platform says and Maggot
self stands for make America great. So one wants to
make America better or great, and it's within the platform.
The other is completely outside of the platform, outside the party,
coming in from the top down, and its goal is
to destroy the Republic by first destroying the Democrat Party.

(21:06):
And don't forget the first point. And their leaderless, cashless,
and their chairs about to be ousted. It's almost nine
years ago that I said. It was certainly six years
ago when the decade began, and I said one or
both parties will be gone by the end of the
decade everybody thought I was nuts. Can we at least

(21:31):
say on August fourth, twenty twenty six, a Democrat Party
it's on life support right now? Does it have a leader?
The answer is no. This is something I try to
impress upon you that Axios is finally figuring out.

Speaker 2 (21:45):
It's not Barack Obama.

Speaker 1 (21:48):
You know, there was a time the Republican Party was leaderless,
went through some pre lean years from Mitt Romney to
Bob Dold, but Reagan was still the leader. He was
still the energy behind the revolution. That doesn't belong to
Barack Obama or Bill Clinton in fact their ancient history.
In fact, both are completely including Hillary, unacceptable by this

(22:08):
new Democrat Party. There's a story today that Mayor Pete
strongly First of all, who doesn't think Pete Budhagig is
running for president? If he announced tomorrow, who would be shocked?
Because I like to wish you a happy birthday you
were born yesterday. But Mayor Pete's announcement, Kamala Harris, her announcement,

(22:36):
Gavin News none, those people are leaders.

Speaker 2 (22:38):
Of the party. You know what they don't want to admit.

Speaker 1 (22:41):
You know who the leader of the party is, Bernie Sanders, AOC,
and Mom Donnie. And what do they all have in common?
None of them are truly Democrats, and all of them
are socialists. One of them is even Islamist. And by

(23:01):
this time tomorrow there'll be a third leader, Abdul Ali Shaid.
And let me tell you something. Say there's no question
he's going to win. I mean the polls or anything.
And forget polls, the money lines and the betting he's
going to win. Question is going to win in the

(23:23):
general and time will tell. I think most Democrats will
go along with him before they vote for a Republican
So premise number one of our lone time Axios has
finally figured out this is a party with no leader,
no candidate leader, and no DNC leader and no money.
That's a predicament, is it not. And worst of all

(23:48):
for the Democrats, AOC is not going after Chuckie Schumer's
Senate seed.

Speaker 2 (23:54):
No, she's going for the presidency and she'll be off
to a huge lead.

Speaker 1 (23:59):
And the Democrats, the DNC will have to try to
pull a Shenanigan like they did with Hillary, like they
did with Joe, and like they did with Kamala, only
this time half their party is socialist. They're not going
to put up with it. There could be a violent insurrection.
There could be an independent candidate socialist turned independent for
the general. The second is a headline the Democrat Party

(24:28):
will take a radical turn after the Michigan election. The
outcome could provide insights into the future of the Democrat Party.
Abdul l Sayed, a candidate endorsed by the far left
wing of the party, is facing off against US Representative
Hailey Stevens, a centrist pro Israel candidate.

Speaker 2 (24:49):
Oh, there's no room for Israel.

Speaker 1 (24:53):
This is a portion of Democrat Party that isn't interested
in America, let alone Israel. But when I read that story,
I couldn't help but think of this sound of the day.
This is Hassan Piker on a podcast declaring there's zero

(25:16):
chance a Democratic nominee in twenty twenty eight will be
pro Israel.

Speaker 10 (25:19):
Listen, will you endorse the twenty twenty eight candidates if
they are pro Israel in a way that you don't like?
If you ultimately are about defeating fascism in this country
as you describe it, surely shouldn't you get on board
with whoever the main candidate.

Speaker 11 (25:36):
Is Luckily, I don't think all have to make that
calculation at all, because there is zero percent chance that
whoever the elected Democrat is that wins the primary will
be pro Israel in any way, shape or form.

Speaker 1 (25:49):
You'll see, Well, if it's Roney, Manuel, it will be.
If it's likely anyone they bait and switch to, they
likely will be. How are all these people going to
respond when they do that this time? See unlike in
twenty sixteen where they rigged it to keep Bernie from winning.
Why they even allow him to run for the presidential
nomination as a non Democrat and socialist is beyond me,

(26:13):
and they sure is. He didn't expect him to be
leading over Hillary Clinton, so they had to rig it
with super delegates to make sure Hillary won, and then
she went on to lose. Then they rigged it again
because he was going to win again, and they cut
a deal with Joe Biden and got their girl.

Speaker 2 (26:26):
They really wanted Kamala Harris to be on the ticket.

Speaker 1 (26:30):
Then they rigged it again to push Joe off after
he got all the delegates and handed it to Kamala.
Do you really think they're not going to do it
a fourth time? And do you think they're going to
get away with it at fourth time. But why is
he talking like that Because he's convinced it's going to
be AOC because in their mind Bernie Sanders is their godfather,

(26:58):
AOC and mom Donnie and I believe Lsayed is their
trinity moving forward. But the answer to Axios is, you're right.
They have no leader. You're right, they have no money.
Soon they'll have no DNC chair, and they're in the

(27:18):
middle of a hostile takeover. Yeah, I'd say these are
very interesting times for the Democrats. Elections today, Well, again,
it really doesn't matter because everybody's going to be focused
not on Kansas, not on Missouri, not on Virginia, out
on Washington.

Speaker 2 (27:38):
They're going to be focused on Michigan.

Speaker 1 (27:40):
And that Senate primary involves Hailey Stevens, which would be
I think the closest competitor to Abdul Lsaed and Mallory McMurrough.
We also have a House thirteen primary in Michigan. Donovan

(28:01):
McKinney is the Socialist candidate going against u Shreet. Then
how do I say it Thanator Thanadar? I think it's Sanadar. No,
that's that guy who's constantly impeaching Trump. Yes, yes, yes, yes,

(28:22):
all right, so uh either way you lose there. And
uh the only other really thing to kick around is
the president. You know, we've kind of been caught in
this Iranian Groundhog's Day where one day the President's going
to bomb them into the stone Age. He's had enough,
they had enough time. Then he calls off the bombing,
back to the peace talks, and the peace talks fail,

(28:44):
and then before they even failed, they did either even
in them. Now the presidents just flat out I mean,
if they're not playing a game, is the president just
figuring out you can't negotiate with Iran? I said that
day one because I had fourteen hundred years of history
to conclude that. But I think he's or are we

(29:05):
just playing the game? So now it's like animal House doubles,
secret probation.

Speaker 2 (29:10):
One more chance to make a DLR rouse. We're going
to kick that around. In the third hour.

Speaker 1 (29:15):
The Great Lieutenant Colonel James Carafano will be joining us
on Iranian Groundhog Day. We'll ask the colonel who's stalling?
Remember the song Who's zoom and who? With Aretha Franklin.
It's now come to that who's stalling, who, who's zoom
and who in this US Iran conflict. And we'll preview
the big election day as well as the big debate

(29:37):
last night in South Carolina with Lindsay Graham's sister Waiteaus
correspondent John deckro Be along with that coming up next
hour as well. So next hour, John Decca, Third hour,
Lieutenant Colonel James Carafano. What's happening right now in Iran
isn't just another headline?

Speaker 9 (29:53):
Why?

Speaker 2 (29:53):
Because it can directly hit your wallet. Well, how can
I do that? Well?

Speaker 1 (29:58):
When conflict goes on in the Middle East, oil it
moves and everything follows. When gas prices rise, shipping costs spike,
and suddenly your dollar doesn't go as far. We've seen
this before and now banks are forecasting even higher gold
and silver prices. So the real question this morning is

(30:18):
are you position for what's happening, let alone what's coming next?
And if you're considering gold or silver, and you should be.
Who you work with matters a lot. And that's why

was fantastic. That's a good morning, Michael. I have never
seen You've got mail? But come on, how do you
beat the end into smoking in the banded who could
possibly drive from Atlanta to Balston back in under eighteen hours?

listened too long. When the minute you bring up tab,
I know you're going to tell the story about are
your fat teacher?

Speaker 2 (31:43):
Well?

Speaker 1 (31:44):
The older I get. The more of these stories, the
old story go to kick in. Let's see what one
we're in. Steve from Oklahoma City.

Speaker 2 (31:53):
I'mchael Steve from Oklahoma City.

Speaker 9 (31:55):
I do remember way back when when you said by
the end of the decade that one or the other
parties would be gone. Lately, we're just hoping it's the
Democratic Socialists and the Democrats.

Speaker 2 (32:07):
It's going to be one the other of both, right.

Speaker 1 (32:11):
Keep those talkbacks coming emails to Michael did atiheartmedia dot Com.
Fifty three minutes after the hour, Well, fire crews from
twelve different states, even an international partnership is descending upon Spokane,
Washington to help battle the devastating wildfires.

Speaker 2 (32:24):
Mark Mayfield has that story.

Speaker 3 (32:26):
At last count, more than four thousand personnel have been dispatched.
California sent well over one hundred personnel. Fire management specialists
from Australia and New Zealand have traveled to eastern Washington
to provide operational support.

Speaker 2 (32:38):
I'm Mark Mayfield.

Speaker 1 (32:39):
Well, voters will head to the polls today for another
big primary election day in the US.

Speaker 5 (32:43):
Ballots are being cashed in Michigan, Missouri, Kansas, Virginia, and
Washington State. One of the highest profile races is between
Democrats in Michigan for the US Senate race there, pitting
insurgent progressive Abdul el Sayet against the establishment. Back to
Congresswoman Haley Stevens, That race has divided the party somewhat,
with fears within the DNC that an Elsaiat victory could

(33:07):
pull the party further left and hurt their midterm election
hopes to regain control of the House and or Senate.

Speaker 2 (33:13):
I'm Scott Carr in Washington well.

Speaker 1 (33:16):
Former Transportation Secretary Pete Bootage says he's leaning towards running
for another White House bid in twenty twenty eight. Chris
Karragio has that story.

Speaker 7 (33:24):
In a new podcast interview, Boodhajij said becoming a father
has changed how he weighs the personal and family impact
of seeking higher office. Early Democratic primary polling places him
among the party's leading potential contenders, though the twenty twenty
eight race is still well over a year away from
its first primary. Bootajich also used the interview to discuss
issues including artificial intelligence, the national debt, and the ongoing

(33:48):
conflict involving Iran. While criticizing President Trump's handling of the War.
I'm Chris Karagio.

Speaker 1 (33:53):
The White House will bring together some of the biggest
names in artificial intelligence today to discuss a new cybersecurity
review framework. It's for advanced models of AI.

Speaker 12 (34:03):
Representatives from companies including Open Ai, Google and Anthropic are
expected to join. The meeting focused on a voluntary program
created under President Trump. The framework would allow the government
to evaluate powerful AI systems before they're widely released, including
testing whether they could be used to identify vulnerabilities or
carry out cyber attacks. Official say the program is not

(34:23):
a licensing requirement, but it comes as concerns grow over
the risks posed by AI technology. I'm Tammy Truheo.

Speaker 1 (34:29):
I feel like an NFL referee after further review. Spider
Man Brand New Day has surpassed Avengers Endgame for the
biggest domestic opening weekend of all time.

Speaker 5 (34:40):
The fourth film and the Tom holland At franchise brought
in a massive three hundred and sixty million dollars in
its debut. Moving past Endgames three hundred and fifty seven million.
Brand New Day is brought in a global total of
nine hundred and thirty two million dollars and is expected
to eclipse a billion dollars sometime this week.

Speaker 2 (34:58):
Hi, my name is Peter Parker. I have something to
tell you that's going to sound crazy.

Speaker 5 (35:04):
Meanwhile, the combination of Spider Man's historic weekend and The
Odyssey's third weekend haul of fifty one million dollars has
led to the biggest domestic box office weekend ever, set
by Endgame in twenty nineteen.

Speaker 2 (35:16):
I'm Scott carr. Well.

Speaker 1 (35:18):
Today we celebrate three great things. One you may like
more than the others. Pre Tennis has that story.

Speaker 13 (35:25):
Today is National Coast Guard Day, celebrating two hundred and
thirty six years of keeping our waterway safe as a
floating branch of the military. Also, today is National Night Out,
a coast to coast community building event with law enforcement.
Look for local gatherings. And the final day we're celebrating
is National Chocolate Chip Cookie Day. Maybe the best day
ever And no judgment if you celebrate the other two

(35:47):
days with a cookie in hand. I'm pre Tennis.

Speaker 1 (35:50):
Oh, by the way, if you were kicking yourself because
you forgot to buy a lottery ticket before last night's drawing,
don't kick yourself any longer. Still, no Powerball jackpop winner,
No One.

Speaker 3 (35:59):
Metchgll's six numbers and Monday night's drawing, so the grand
price jumps to an estimated seven hundred and eighty six
million dollars. The cash option on that is almost three
hundred and forty two million dollars. The next drawing is
Wednesday Night. Tickets are two dollars each, with the odds
of hitting the jackpot roughly one in two hundred and
ninety two million.

Speaker 2 (36:17):
I'm right now that those are great odds. Fucking We're
all in this together. This is your Morning Show with
