Anti Valentine's Day, Anti Thanksgiving running for governor in Wisconsin.
But there's also the replacement for Lindsay Graham and his
sister's election in South Carolina. Roy and Neil our national
correspondents here to preview them all. Good morning, Rory, Good morning.

In that South Carolina Senate race, there are ten Republican
candidates all fighting for that nomination. Senator Lindsay Graham's sister
Lean seems to be leading the pack. But boy, it's
tough to do polling with such short notice and with
so many candidates, and you don't know who's going to
show up to vote today. And if no one gets
more than fifty percent of the vote in today's South

Carolina Senate primary, we'll be at this again with the
two top front runners two weeks from now.

May for a second, if you were in a short turnaround,
I don't know what it is, three weeks, whatever it is,
and you have low turnout, it's a primary, and there
are a lot of candidates, ten in all, and your
last name is Graham.

I like your odds in that one pretty much. Yeah,
I mean it would only be better for her last name.
We're aa Graham right to really right up at the
top of the ballot. But there's a funny story. Yeah,
one of these days there was a guy named Russo.
He ran for mayor, changed his name to Russo, so
be on top of the ballot. The other guy on
the ballot, I forgot his last name. He added another a,

so he was two ways to be on top of
the big legal fight back in the day.

The other race Wisconsin, Francesca Hauk, as you said, Democratic
socialist candidate. She is leading in that race for the
Democratic nomination for governor. There the more establishment candidate show,
we say, pretty far behind. And there's also an interesting
sort of socialist leading candidate out of Minnesota, Lieutenant governor
Peggy Flanagan.

She is leading a centrist Democrat, Angie Craig.

You know, there was all the attention to AOC going
public giving herself shots to freeze her eggs. We did
get a hold of AOC and asked her if she
has a baby, does she prefer a boy or a girl?
And we got the answer look at Jeffrey over there, Hey, yes, sir.

We caught up with AOC and asked her if she'd
rather have a boy, Gosh, I'm so sorry, a boy
or a girl, and she gave us this statement, oh.

going to go been cheesier which is I want Hong
to win tonight, just to see if she thanks everybody

Bother to show up in a race where you're like,
Ah Graham's gonna win it. And that's the real fear,
right that, and that they're gonna be at this again
in two weeks with the two. I can't imagine anyone
getting more than fifty percent with ten candidates.

The size of America's workforce has shrunk by more than
a million people over the past year. Why is it happening,
and what does it mean for future contributions, you know,
to things like so's of security, Medicare, Medicaid. Roy will
have that story in the third hour for you. This

Lieutenant Colonel James Carafano the simple question, what does a
former president, a former commander in chief, a former United
States Senator, and a constitutional bar attorney from Harvard have
in common with a socialist Islamist Senate candidate who wants
to neuter the presidency, Neuter the United States Senate as

he enters it, neuter the Supreme Court, abolish ice military
police in prisons. That's the strange bedfellows that become the
intimate inspiring conversation of lsied and former President Barack Obama.
That's a mouthful, Lieutenant Colonel, but I think it's a
question worth asking.

I think if you go back somewhere on your show,
you can probably spyclip where I said we could have
a national Islamist Party in the United States in ten years,
and I'm sticking to that right. This is the natural
consequence of the political struggle in the United States where

we're trying to define the new center of the country,
and it's a center writer, a center left country. And
with Trump's election twenty twenty four, it looked like Republicans
are on the ascendancy. And so the answer of the
left was, we hate Trump. And then the natural organic

consequence of that is to move as far left as
you possibly can, like we're trying to balance the seesawn right.

I don't think it's gonna work.

I think ultimately it brings the destruction of the Democratic Party.

But you know, we'll see. Like I said, I do policy.

You know what, you know what you know what? You
know what scares me the most? Do you know what
scares me the most? We absolutely agree on something. So
the way that played out was, I guess, to grow
the tent. In order to defeat the abominable snowman, the
evil Trump, uh, the orange one, they allow in sopcialists
Bernie Sanders to run for president. I'm the Democratic ticket

and he's not even a Democrat, all right, So that
it starts to and it grows into the squad that
begins to grow and agitate. Then in order for the
socialists to make their move, they allow the Islamists to
join them. But you know as well as I do,
the Islamists are going to ride them and then take
over them. But they're both parasites within the Democrat Party.

And if they succeed, and they're succeeding well, the parasite
wins and the host dies. But the parasite dies with
a host, So it will be the end of the
Democrat Party. I do do political and it is a problem,
and I think James Carvill and a lot of people
see it coming. And the more victories they have in
these primaries, the less likely they are to win in
the general. And then I think twenty twenty eight becomes

a referendum on the Republican Party. The Republicans have absorbed
the Tea party movement, they won't be able to absorb
trump Ism, and that's going to be a little bit
more difficult. So who they hand off to will become
very important for their stability. But these are strange bedfellows.
I mean, I can't understand why Barack Obama wouldn't be
distancing himself from elseae not having warm inspirational conversations. What

does that say about Obama?

Well, he wants to try to maintain control of the party,
I mean, it's just that simple. But so this this comment,
this big tent thing to me is, you know, the
Soviet Union was a big tent. Everybody was under a dictator, right,
the Republican Party, I well, I disagree with you on
trump Ism. I think trump Ism actually has taken over

the Republican Party, but that the Republican Party is genuinely
a big tent. There are many conservatives with lots of
different views. The difference is is there a guardrail? And
defining the Republican Party is the bignagement literally of all
the different tribes in the Republican Party. That nobody gets
to define the orthodoxy of what it is to be
a conservative, and that's what keeps it and the left

is exactly the opposite right. The whole objective of the left.
That's about the defining orthodox oxy. Which is the great
danger of letting the Communists in the tent, because they're
gonna because if they get to define orthodoxy then and
then then they will all go on like lemmings like
they are, and that will bring the distruction to the party,
I think, because I don't think that's I don't think

it's acceptable in the United States to actually have a
Natro socialist or contentist or Tama's political party and think.

You're going to national election. Yeah, we're having all kinds
of problems with your phone. I would say, we don't disagree.
I'm saying they won't be able to absorb trump Is
because Trump isn't actually no. Trump Ism is conservative Republican platform,
not talked about, done all right, and that's what people want.
I'm saying the lane opened from the focus on the

debt and the Tea party movement that was absorbed by
the Republican Party, which created Donald Trump to come down
that escalator and filled that lane. Now he has perfected it.
I can't think if anybody would have a rougher time
than an establishment Republican candidate in twenty twenty eight. I
mean a Mitt Romney type. I mean even a Ted
Cruz will be very difficult to sell. It's got to
be either JD. Vans or Mark Rubio. I would think,

moving forward, or they'll be making a big mistake. What
do you make of I think we can honestly say
these talks have blown up. I did love the President's
comment they want us to pay for damages. This regime
should pay for the damage it inflicted on the world
for fifty years. I like that conversation a lot.

I'm fine with the president's strategy.
Speaker 7 (10:22):
You know, people don't realize not only is in many
ways the economic strangulation more of a threat than the
military hits. By taking a pause in military operations, what
you allow is slowing the up tempo. You can rearm,
you can refit, you can do more targeting, and you're
actually a greater military threat.

So I think the President's got these guys in the corner.
Speaker 7 (10:45):
And this is the key thing that I think the
president has always discount of the midterms.

The greatest lesson of Iraq, in afghan.

And all these other wars was you don't fight by
a calendar. You fight by defining outcomes and then moving
towards that outcome. And the one great thing about Trump
is He's never he's taken that lesson in and so
he's he is not fighting this war with I got
to get this over by November.

He is fighting with this wars.

I'm president for two and a half years, and every
day for two and a half years, I'm going to
make the Iranian's.

public opinion in America, but in the court room of
world opinion. As long as they're irrational, he has the

your opinion on the Strait of Horror moves. I think

you go back to Iran and say, look, you know
you're going broke. You know you can't ship oil by water.

are making some money selling oil by land. You touch
a ship in the horror moves, I'm gonna bom. I'm

Then you're really broke. I think that's a legitimate thing

can be interchangeable. But Islamic law is a defined law.
It is anesthetical to our constitution. It's anathetical to separation

How do you explain the difference? If somebody were to say, gee,
it's a big mistake. The Democrats are welcoming Islamists into
their socialist movement. Why what's the difference between the threat
of socialism versus the threat of Islam.

Well, it's you said, the Islamis is a political movement,
is a political ideology which is authoritarian, just just like Nazis,
just like communists, just like socialists. So it's just that
simple if you practice Look, I know a lot of
practiced religion of the Lam democracy, like voting, you know,

fine with women's rights.

The entire country is Muslim, and it's very moderate, very
so it's Islamists that are the problem. But the problem
in the US, the political movement in the US is
not Islamic. It's not a bunch of Muslim rights. It's
an Islamist movement and it always has been because the
political movement is completely manufactured by international money.

It is a political movement.

There's no difference between Care and the Muslim Brotherhood and
Hamas and has Blot, that is that they have the
same beliefs, period and the story.

We were both raised Catholic. I have since left the
Catholic Church. But having said that, as Christians, I have
no problem with Muslim brothers and sisters, and I will
love them and I will tolerate them. I will not
validate them. I mean, obviously I have a way, truth
and a life. The problem is political Islamists and jie
Hottist That's where the tolerance line needs to be drawn.
And they like to hide something wrong.

candidates all fighting for that nomination. Senator Lindsay Graham's sister
Lean seems to be leading the pack. But boy, it's
tough to do polling with such short notice and with
so many candidates, and you don't know who's going to
show up to vote today. And if no one gets
more than fifty percent of the vote in today's South

Carolina Senate primary, we'll be at this again with the
two top front runners two weeks from now.

May for a second, if you were in a short turnaround,
I don't know what it is, three weeks, whatever it is,
and you have low turnout, it's a primary, and there
are a lot of candidates, ten in all, and your

We're aa Graham right to really right up at the
top of the ballot. But there's a funny story. Yeah,
one of these days there was a guy named Russo.

the big legal fight back in the day.

I think if you go back somewhere on your show,

a national Islamist Party in the United States in ten years,

consequence of the political struggle in the United States where

and it's a center writer, a center left country. And
with Trump's election twenty twenty four, it looked like Republicans
are on the ascendancy. And so the answer of the
left was, we hate Trump. And then the natural organic

consequence of that is to move as far left as
you possibly can, like we're trying to balance the seesawn right.

I don't think it's gonna work.

I think ultimately it brings the destruction of the Democratic Party.

But you know, we'll see. Like I said, I do policy.

You know what, you know what you know what? You
know what scares me the most? Do you know what
scares me the most? We absolutely agree on something. So
the way that played out was, I guess, to grow
the tent. In order to defeat the abominable snowman, the
evil Trump, uh, the orange one, they allow in sopcialists
Bernie Sanders to run for president. I'm the Democratic ticket
(06:57):
and he's not even a Democrat, all right, So that
it starts to and it grows into the squad that
begins to grow and agitate. Then in order for the
socialists to make their move, they allow the Islamists to
join them. But you know as well as I do,
the Islamists are going to ride them and then take
over them. But they're both parasites within the Democrat Party.

And if they succeed, and they're succeeding well, the parasite
wins and the host dies. But the parasite dies with
a host, So it will be the end of the
Democrat Party. I do do political and it is a problem,
and I think James Carvill and a lot of people
see it coming. And the more victories they have in
these primaries, the less likely they are to win in
the general. And then I think twenty twenty eight becomes

a referendum on the Republican Party. The Republicans have absorbed
the Tea party movement, they won't be able to absorb
trump Ism, and that's going to be a little bit
more difficult. So who they hand off to will become
very important for their stability. But these are strange bedfellows.
I mean, I can't understand why Barack Obama wouldn't be
distancing himself from elseae not having warm inspirational conversations. What

does that say about Obama?

Well, he wants to try to maintain control of the party,
I mean, it's just that simple. But so this this comment,
this big tent thing to me is, you know, the
Soviet Union was a big tent. Everybody was under a dictator, right,
the Republican Party, I well, I disagree with you on
trump Ism. I think trump Ism actually has taken over

the Republican Party, but that the Republican Party is genuinely
a big tent. There are many conservatives with lots of
different views. The difference is is there a guardrail? And
defining the Republican Party is the bignagement literally of all
the different tribes in the Republican Party. That nobody gets
to define the orthodoxy of what it is to be
a conservative, and that's what keeps it and the left

is exactly the opposite right. The whole objective of the left.
That's about the defining orthodox oxy. Which is the great
danger of letting the Communists in the tent, because they're
gonna because if they get to define orthodoxy then and
then then they will all go on like lemmings like
they are, and that will bring the distruction to the party,
I think, because I don't think that's I don't think

it's acceptable in the United States to actually have a
Natro socialist or contentist or Tama's political party and think.

You're going to national election. Yeah, we're having all kinds
of problems with your phone. I would say, we don't disagree.
I'm saying they won't be able to absorb trump Is
because Trump isn't actually no. Trump Ism is conservative Republican platform,
not talked about, done all right, and that's what people want.
I'm saying the lane opened from the focus on the

debt and the Tea party movement that was absorbed by
the Republican Party, which created Donald Trump to come down
that escalator and filled that lane. Now he has perfected it.
I can't think if anybody would have a rougher time
than an establishment Republican candidate in twenty twenty eight. I
mean a Mitt Romney type. I mean even a Ted
Cruz will be very difficult to sell. It's got to
be either JD. Vans or Mark Rubio. I would think,

moving forward, or they'll be making a big mistake. What
do you make of I think we can honestly say
these talks have blown up. I did love the President's
comment they want us to pay for damages. This regime
should pay for the damage it inflicted on the world
for fifty years. I like that conversation a lot.

I'm fine with the president's strategy.

You know, people don't realize not only is in many
ways the economic strangulation more of a threat than the
military hits. By taking a pause in military operations, what
you allow is slowing the up tempo. You can rearm,
you can refit, you can do more targeting, and you're
actually a greater military threat.

So I think the President's got these guys in the corner.

And this is the key thing that I think the
president has always discount of the midterms.

The greatest lesson of Iraq, in afghan.

a calendar. You fight by defining outcomes and then moving
towards that outcome. And the one great thing about Trump
is He's never he's taken that lesson in and so

to get this over by November.

I'm president for two and a half years, and every
day for two and a half years, I'm going to

How do you explain the difference? If somebody were to say, gee,
it's a big mistake. The Democrats are welcoming Islamists into
their socialist movement. Why what's the difference between the threat
of socialism versus the threat of Islam.

Well, it's you said, the Islamis is a political movement,
is a political ideology which is authoritarian, just just like Nazis,
just like communists, just like socialists. So it's just that
simple if you practice Look, I know a lot of
practiced religion of the Lam democracy, like voting, you know,

The entire country is Muslim, and it's very moderate, very

in the US, the political movement in the US is

There's no difference between Care and the Muslim Brotherhood and

no problem with Muslim brothers and sisters, and I will
love them and I will tolerate them. I will not
