All right, so this summer heat waved really hot. We've
been sweating. We know how hot it is. And you know,
think about kids today. They don't really know how to
play the games that we used to play back in
the day during summer. So guys want to ask you
this question. Can you, guys reminisce and tell us about
some of the games you played outside. I know you

have some story, Steve, give us some suggestions about what
the kids can do to stay cool this summer.

Speaker 2 (00:29):
Get your daddy's pipe wrench.

Speaker 3 (00:31):
Go down there, take that take that nozzle off that
fire hydrant, get all the water you want.

Speaker 2 (00:40):
A turn that sprink loan in the front yard and
just back and forth.

Speaker 3 (00:46):
Yes, ah, let your mama take that nozzle off that
fire hose and put her thumb on it.

Speaker 2 (00:53):
This brail.

Speaker 3 (00:56):
Yes, I'm act like y'all don't remember that, man, Please,
I could tell you something I did One time, man,
we played Hide and go seek. One time I hid
under Miss Payne's porch. If fainted under there.

Speaker 2 (01:10):
Was so hot, nobody never found you.

Speaker 3 (01:13):
Man, ain't nobody found me and I forgot we was playing.
I was lost consciousness under that hot porch. Yeah, man,
I crawled out and they found me. I was just
trying to crawl getting my head out in that driveway.
Get some app man.

Speaker 2 (01:30):
I love it.

Speaker 3 (01:32):
Man, U s the all right iron man, because you
know what, man, we playing hide and go seek. I
had hid so good under that porch. You know how
they Ali ali and free.

Speaker 2 (01:47):
I didn't.

Speaker 3 (01:47):
I couldn't even muster up the strip to crawl out.
Moneyed at the porch. I was into the porch going
help me, help meet other kids.

Speaker 4 (02:00):
Tell you what, man, that was fun that were growing up.
We have to go outside. I'm going outside with fun.
We wouldn't play like it was a job. You said
nine that morning, you couldn't come back in there till five.

Speaker 3 (02:15):
I had to eat two bowls of cereal before I
went outside, coming back to lunch. And we fould go
out here and play these hard games tag. I'm playing
tag with soft nim and they was fast.

Speaker 4 (02:30):
Football, touch on the concrete, tackling the grass.

Speaker 2 (02:34):
That's it. Sideline stick broke all of that.

Speaker 3 (02:41):
Go down there and go fence hopping and started to
down at the end of the street and just hop fences.
Whoever get to the top of the block first win.
But you had to go past cane no seeking chained.

Speaker 2 (02:54):
The German shepherd. Did you ever win when you hop
the fences? Oh?

Speaker 3 (02:58):
Hell yeah, my list I could gold Man. Plus I
was from the country, you know. That's all I did
was climb on stuff so I could win.

Speaker 2 (03:08):
You got caught one of them barbie fence because I
caught up on really shirt hell shirt boy, so rough
rough from the get your shirt.

Speaker 3 (03:25):
My whole hung up on.

Speaker 2 (03:26):
Top of that.

Speaker 3 (03:28):
I mean just hanging on it, bleeding, you know, because
you don't know you got your belt loup caught on
that thing you do toyo jeans and don't more than
lee jeans.

Speaker 2 (03:40):
Man. I was just dangling some defense.

Speaker 3 (03:42):
My brother had to come get me down.

Speaker 2 (03:44):
Oh wow, did you playing sports? Yeah, that's all. It
was kickball, baseball.

Speaker 4 (03:54):
Gods ball, what about Yeah?

Speaker 2 (03:59):
I was ged the Larry O lad. I could throw
that ball, so gone out. You know what we you know,
we did up.

Speaker 4 (04:08):
We had found a set of golf club We didn't
know nothing about golf in the hood. Eric went dug
a hole across at an abandoned house.

Speaker 2 (04:15):
That was the whole.

Speaker 4 (04:17):
Everybody had a club. I'm over there trying to get
this ball across.

Speaker 2 (04:20):
The street with a pudd. We didn't know nothing.

Speaker 4 (04:24):
Back golf shot till I was exhausted, right right back,
all right.
