Speaker 1 (00:01):
This is from DeAndre on Steve HARVEFM. DeAndre says I
still live at home along with my older brother and
my younger sister who's still in high school. Most of
my extra income goes toward helping my parents and covering
costs for my sister, who competes on an elite travel
volleyball team, which means a lot of costly out of
state tournaments. I don't resent supporting her, and I know

(00:23):
my parents are doing their best, but it's hard not
to notice that my older brother also lives here and
contributes absolutely nothing. Everyone else helps keep the household running
and make sacrifices so my sister can keep competing while
he just takes advantage of it. Should I step to
him and ask him to contribute or should I move back?

Speaker 2 (00:44):
Absolutely? Absolutely? Absolutely absolutely?

Speaker 3 (00:49):
Or yeah, you should step to your brother or and
the next option is to move out and just send
your sister to help that.

Speaker 1 (00:56):
You want to send, Okay, uh huh.

Speaker 3 (01:00):
I'm not taking care of no grown able body, man,
That's what I'm not going to do.

Speaker 2 (01:04):
I'm not going to do that, even though I do that.
What I'm sorry inside voice was talking.

Speaker 1 (01:12):
Yeah, that's the first time. Maybe in a long time.
You've done that.

Speaker 3 (01:17):
I just said something that I realized and I'm doing that.
Why as soon as I said it, I went, hey,
you doing that?

Speaker 2 (01:32):
What is you talking about?

Speaker 3 (01:33):
You would never support a grown what? Okay?

Speaker 1 (01:38):
Yeah, okay, but you should step in and say something
or move out?

Speaker 2 (01:46):
Okay? Hey man, everybody kicking in around here. But you
what's up? Bro?

Speaker 3 (01:50):
You my big brother? Man, you ain't set an example
for me, for our little sister. It's a disappointment to
our parents. Man, what you're doing. Bro, you gotta step up.
Many brothers can have that conversation.

Speaker 2 (02:03):
For sure.

Speaker 3 (02:04):
I never had to say that to my brothers because
it just there's no way you was in my daddy's house.
It wasn't working. I've been working since our teen years.
So hey, I ain't never seen my brother not have
a job, not my brother daddy that you're gonna do
something though.

Speaker 2 (02:20):
A dog?

Speaker 3 (02:21):
What you're talking about, Dane Hine? You better get on
there in a car wash? You got to do something?

Speaker 1 (02:26):
Okay?

Speaker 3 (02:27):
All right?

Speaker 1 (02:27):
All right, we have time for another one.

Speaker 2 (02:29):
Steve.

Speaker 1 (02:30):
This is from Nicole and Steve BARBFMN. Cole says, my
husband and I are equal partners. In our marriage and
our finances. Recently, his parents have needed some financial help,
but his dad will only discuss it with my husband
and refuses to include me in the conversation. When my
husband told him that any decision would need to involve
me too, his dad got offended and said it was

(02:51):
quote family business and didn't concern me. Am I overreacting?
Since he's asking for our help, should I insist that
I'd be part of a conversation and decision.

Speaker 3 (03:02):
Well, here's the deal. His father's old school. His father
old school. He'dne went to his son about the decision
that he needed to help with his son, your son
who thene got into this new style relationship where everything
fifty to fifty, which is not and decided that you
have to be included. The father's offended because, hey, man,

(03:24):
I'm coming to you like a man. I raised you
to be a man. This is us talking.

Speaker 1 (03:28):
Now.

Speaker 3 (03:28):
He ain't saying that he shouldn't confide in you, but
in him his pride. Don't want to come in here
and ask his probably pride, don't want to ask his
daughter in law for no help. Yeah, just keep it
between the men and do it like that. You shouldn't
be offended by that. You should have to understand that's
the old school way of doing stuff. You know, like

(03:50):
if I fell on hard times, I wouldn't go to
my son and then sit I ask his wife for
some help. I asked my son and then remind him
of what all I've done for you. And if it
wasn't thing, no way, So you know, don't hate me
have to say that marriage is never fifty to fifty.
I don't know why y'all keep trying to make it
that marriage is eighty five.

Speaker 2 (04:11):
Fifteen. Women get eighty five, we get fifteen.

Speaker 3 (04:18):
Go over there, get show fifteen, make yourself happy, get
yourself a little man, cave a little garage space, and
deal with it.

Speaker 1 (04:25):
Yeah, your money is mine and my money is money.
Your money is.

Speaker 2 (04:28):
Our, that's mine. I ain't never seen that fifty to
fifty work. That's just so nice.

Speaker 1 (04:35):
All right, we'll have more of the Steve Harvey Morning
Show coming up.

Speaker 2 (04:39):
Well, is it fifty fifty at your house?

Speaker 3 (04:40):
Tom?

Speaker 2 (04:41):
Right after that?

Speaker 1 (04:42):

Betrayal Season 5

Betrayal Season 5

Saskia Inwood woke up one morning, knowing her life would never be the same. The night before, she learned the unimaginable – that the husband she knew in the light of day was a different person after dark. This season unpacks Saskia’s discovery of her husband’s secret life and her fight to bring him to justice. Along the way, we expose a crime that is just coming to light. This is also a story about the myth of the “perfect victim:” who gets believed, who gets doubted, and why. We follow Saskia as she works to reclaim her body, her voice, and her life.
