Speaker 1 (00:00):
All right, guys, here we are our last break of
the day. Steve, you want to take us home with something, Hey,
I got some clothing remarks for you. Real simple here,
it is work, hard work. There is no substitute for it,
hard work. Now you hear people say I'd rather work

(00:21):
smart than work hard, There is no substitute for hard work.
If you're gonna work smart, you're gonna have to work
hard at being smart. There is no substitute for hard work.
You can't replace. It. Ain't no quick, easy way. You
got to work hard, man. Accept that and understand that,

(00:42):
and make that one of your disciplines. Hard work replaces
a lot. I know a lot of people who are
more talented than me, but and now one of them
go outwork me. So I've managed to forge myself a
pretty good life. And I've gotten this pretty good life

(01:06):
not because of just my talent, but because my work ethic.
It's not up for question. You cannot ever question my
work ethic. You think he'll be here, you think he'll
do it. Suppose he don't show up where he act today?

(01:27):
Uh uh uh uh. That ain't the question. Because I
was raised with the work ethic, and it supersedes talent. Man,
you can be talent, but if you ain't got the
work ethic, man, it ain't gonna work. It just ain't
gonna work, y'all. Now, if I could couple anything with

(01:51):
my hard work, you know what the two things that
would if you couple it with discipline and faith. If
you take hard work and you couple it with discipline
and faith, oh Lord have mercy, you unstoppable. But the
discipline is critical because even if you're willing to work hard,

(02:13):
what about the days when you don't feel like it?
What about the days when you ain't up to it?
What about the days where something happened and you was
supposed to work, but you something happened. No discipline says
I gotta work anyway. Discipline says I gotta do this anyway.
Discipline is doing what you have to do even when

(02:34):
you don't want to. And then if you put faith
in that faith some prayer, boy, boy, you unstoppable. That's
really the explanation behind all of my success. Oh I'm
a word. I'm a hard worker, and make no mistake
about that, And I'm disciplined. Where I'm gonna go to work.

(02:57):
You don't have to look for me, but they the
key factor on Lord, have mercy, my faith, my belief
in things that I cannot see, my belief that prayer
changes things, that prayer is available to everybody. That prayer
and faith allows me a measure of peace that's undescribable

(03:22):
because I know that God is working on my behalf.
It allows me to have immeasurable peace that I can
sit somewhere in the storm and look like it's aok
because I know my God gonna fix it and it
will be a okay. Oh it might not be ao
okay right now, but that don't mean it ain't gonna

(03:44):
be man, Please, hard work, discipline and faith. Whew. You
can do a lot of things better than Steve Harvey.
But you can't outwork me, though I bet you that.
I bet you you can't. You ain't gonna outwork me.

(04:09):
You ain't gonna put forth more effort than me. You're
not gonna be more disciplined about it than me. So now, now,
if you end up with more than me, then congratulations.
That's your lot in life, just like this is my
life in life. You know when my life is over,

(04:31):
you know what I'm gonna be able to say, when
I'm laying there looking at my last minutes of hours,
I will truly be able to say I gave it
my all. I will truly be able to sit there
and fall moms and say, I tell you one thing,
I did the best I could. I gave it everything

(04:52):
I had. I can't do no more. Well, steve your
time up, all right, man, Nothing nothing about that. Take
me home Heaven Father. I just hope, I just hope
with everything that in me down and done enough to
make it to the kingdom. That's really all I'm hoping for.

(05:13):
And for those of you out there that judge people
and judge me, for y'all passes out there and have
used me and your sermons and all that there, it's
something wrong with you too. You gonna stand before the
same God I'm gonna stand in front of us. You
gonna answer. You're gonna have to answer for all the

(05:33):
stuff I don't know about you, just like I'm gonna
have to answer to all the stuff he know about me.
But why are y'all out there talking about somebody else?
I'm gonna be in that number though. When it's all
said and done, I'm gonna have done enough. Things for
the Kingdom for God Almighty, I think I'm gonna get in.

(05:59):
And so those of you that heaven bound, that's all
you got to worry about. Do the best you can
and hope that God see you at the end with
the reward. Because there's none perfect, no not one. Not
your pastor his pastor not the head of the Baptist Convention,
none of them, all of them flawed. Heaven gonna be

(06:24):
full of flawed people. Because if it ain't none perfect,
no not one, then who going m I'm gonna be
one of the flawed ones in that water. Sud y'all
have a great day today. Talk to God today. He'd
absolutely love to hear from it. For all Steve Harvey contests,
