Speaker 1 (00:00):
All right, Steve, all right, you're darn.
Speaker 2 (00:05):
Today. I'm gonna touch on something I touched on a
little bit earlier. But I wanted to kind of stretch
this point out to you a little bit because there's
a combination of things. And I was watching Joel Oldstein
on TV, and so two things kind of stood out
for me. Because Joe Olstein was telling people, man not
(00:29):
to allow people to get you on the negative downturn. Now,
you gotta be conscious nowadays, especially with social media and
the Internet and all this, it's just such a hateful
place at times that it can get you can get
caught up in it. And if you're not careful, if
you're not a prayerful person, if you're not a person
(00:51):
who tries to stay on the positive, you can be
easily easily be laid down the path and join forces
with the powers that be in the principalities of evil
that just want to spread evil and discontent and just
dissension amongst people by participating in it. And I find
(01:14):
it all too easy nowadays to find something to gripe about,
to find something to dislike about something somebody else is doing,
and instead of doing the right thing, you know, pulling
a person to the side, maybe pull a coat to
what they doing, or give them some encouragement. Nah. Sometimes, man,
(01:37):
we have a tendency to get on the bad wagon,
and let's discuss it and what's wrong with them and
why you think they doing this and why you think
they doing that. But you end up going down that path.
And it's a hard path to get off of because
once you open up your mind to negativity, once you
allow that evil one to premeate your thought, says or
(02:01):
he'll he'll reside there, He'll he'll take camp, he'll set
up shop in you. Man. And if you ain't got
God in your life, man, and you're not being a
prayerful person, you know, talking to God every day, just
you know, to have a relationship with him, because God
can keep you on the positive path. I had a
T shirt that I had with the Foundation once that
(02:23):
I was selling. I still wear it all the time.
People ask me about it. The T shirt said, faith
don't make it easy. Faith doesn't make it easy. Faith
makes it possible. Faith doesn't make it easy. Faith makes
it possible. And you know, when you have a relationship
with God, it just makes the things that are difficult
(02:45):
in life, the things that you run across that's troubling
in life. It just gives you a companion and a
guide to help you through it. That's what you really need,
is not that you need the problems to disappear, because
problems are not going to disappear. We're in a trouble world.
We live in a trouble world. They're not going anywhere.
(03:07):
So why waste your time and energy wishing that problems
would disappear when what you really need is to strength,
the wisdom, the courage, the understanding, and the peace of
mind to deal with the problems. That's what you want.
(03:27):
You know, there are people that you have in your
life that know how to just handle missteps that just
seem like man, they just handle bad news better than
most people. You run into people man where you just
can't get them down. You know, you got people that
you know. I try to be that way, I really
really do. You know, I'm human, but I try to
(03:49):
be that way. I want to be a person man
that God's life can can work with because I try
to give him some space in my life. I try
to make room for God. Just give him, give him
some space to work in your life. Don't be so.
I I mean me. You know you need God, man,
it's important to admit that. And when you admit that,
(04:09):
you give him space to operate in your life. So
when they hating on you, you got somebody operating on
your behalf where you know you're gonna be all right
when they write you off. You got somebody in your
life that you know what's working on your behind that's
gonna get you through it where you will be all right.
That's what you need the presence of God in your
(04:30):
life for you need God, all right. Those are my
closing remarks. Talk to God, he loved to hear from you.
