your letter live on the air, just like we're gonna

it could be yours.

Speaker 2 (00:21):
It could be yours. Buckle up and hold on time. We
got it for you. Hear it in Strawberry Letter.

Speaker 1 (00:26):
All right, nephew, huh huh, thank you. I know how
she feels is the subject. Dear Stig and Shirley. I've
been married for thirteen years, and I love my wife.
But I've conflicted because an ex has moved back to
town to take care of her elderly mom. I love
my ex's mother, and I was helping to look after
her after she broke her hip. My wife was fine

(00:49):
with me checking in on her as long as my
ex was not anywhere around. Now that my ex is
back home, I have to cut ties with her mom
because my wife said I can't go over there anymore.
My wife does not care that my ex is not
my type anymore or that she is over weight. She
told me to stay away from her. I really did

(01:12):
try to avoid my ex, but I couldn't stop checking
on her mom cold Turkey. So I've been sneaking over
to the house a few days a week, and I've
been lying to my wife, Steve. I can't help it.
I can't help because I can't help myself because as
soon as I saw my ex, it was on. No

(01:32):
matter how hefty that woman is now, she still feels
like she did years ago. I've been missing that feeling.
It's like a warm glass of bourbon and a really
expensive cigar. She's always been that good, and her weight
makes it even better. We've been fooling around in her
mom's house like we did when we were younger. I

(01:54):
think her mom knows what we're up to. I feel
dirty for cheating, and I can barely look my wife
in the eyes. My wife would seriously hurt me if
she found out, and she tried to embarrass me because
my ex is big. Now I can't tell my brother
or my friends what I'm doing because they would tease me.
How do I get this feeling out of my brain

(02:16):
so I can stop being a cheater?

Speaker 2 (02:19):
God don't.

Speaker 1 (02:21):
Well, it sure didn't take you much time to jump
back in bed with your eggs, you said, as soon
as you saw it was on. So I have to
start with this question, what do you want Steve and
I to do? I mean, you're in it now, You're
all the way in it. You are cheating on your
wife with your ex, even though you told your wife
you're not attracted to her anymore. You said she's not

(02:41):
your type anymore because she's put on a few pounds,
well pounds or not or should I say hefty? You
call the woman hefty. Uh, it doesn't matter. This extra
weight doesn't matter. You wasted no time when you saw her.
You certainly weren't thinking about your wife then, weren't thinking
about asking Steve and I what to do. Then, now

(03:03):
you're feeling guilty because you're in a full fledged affair
with your wife and you with your ex, and you're
sneaking around with her. This is not about her mother
and you wanting to check in on her mother.

Speaker 2 (03:14):
That's a lie.

Speaker 1 (03:15):
It's all about you getting freaky with your ex wife
and loving it. And that's the problem because in situations
like this, once you get started, it's really, really hard
to stop. Like the song said, So what is it
going to take for you to stop? That's the question.
You know, shat rufus and shakaka. Once you get started, start.

Speaker 3 (03:36):
That's all.

Speaker 1 (03:38):
Yeah.

Speaker 3 (03:39):
But anyway, yeah, Steve, well you know, Shirley, you said
something that sparked me.

Speaker 2 (03:48):
You said, what do you want Steve and I to do?

Speaker 3 (03:54):
Clearly he is crying for him now. The reason he
wrote this letter crying for help is because lying is involved.
I'm here for that, here for the lie. I am

(04:14):
here to help you lie for it before you mess
around and lose your family.

Speaker 2 (04:25):
I've been married for thirteen years. I love my wife.

Speaker 3 (04:27):
Come on, facts, but I'm conflicted because an X has
moved back to town to take care of.

Speaker 2 (04:35):
Her elderly mother.

Speaker 3 (04:37):
Now these are the facts, he said, He said, but
I'm conflicted because an ex minder moved back into town
take care.

Speaker 2 (04:43):
Of her elder mother. Now, then all the information after this.

Speaker 3 (04:51):
I loved my ex's mother and I was helping her
look after after she failed and broke her.

Speaker 2 (04:55):
Help my wife. Now, listen to me.

Speaker 3 (05:01):
I'm assuming you was married before because you called her
your ex ex wife. I'm assuming and my ex is
mother and I, Well, my wife was fine with me
checking on her as long as my ex was not
not anywhere around. Now the ex is back home, I

(05:23):
have to cut ties with her, mama, because my wife
said that I can't go back over there no more.

Speaker 2 (05:29):
Because a woman knows, they know dog, and my.

Speaker 3 (05:35):
Wife does not care that. Now listen, here's where it lies.
Does My wife does.

Speaker 2 (05:42):
Not care that my ex is not my type.

Speaker 3 (05:47):
Anymore, or that she is overweight. See that's what you
told your wife. See, I really don't think the woman
is that overweight. I think she's thicker than she used

(06:10):
to be, but I don't think she's overweight.

Speaker 2 (06:13):
All hefty at all. He told that to the way
I don't want.

Speaker 3 (06:20):
Huh, she ain't even my type no more? She didnet
gained all that weight. No, No, she's sick. You told
your wife she was over I'm telling y'all, I know
how these things developed, and when we come back, I'm
gonna show you what didn't happen here.

Speaker 1 (06:38):
All right, Hang on, Steve, we'll have part two of
your response coming up at twenty three minutes after today's
Strawberry letter subject I know how she feels. We'll get
back into it. Right after this, you're listening Steve Harvey
Morning Show.

Speaker 2 (06:59):
Hey, it's Carla Fair.

Speaker 4 (07:00):

Speaker 4 (07:25):
Mop smarter with the Swipper Power Mop.

Speaker 1 (07:28):
All right, come on, Steve, let's recap today's strawberry letter.
The subject is I know how she feels.

Speaker 3 (07:34):
Sureley responded to this letter wonderfully, and Sheirley's main question
that sparked me was what do you want Steve and
I to do? Well, here's a man that's crying for help,
and he needs help with these lies.

Speaker 2 (07:47):
He don't I'm here falling.

Speaker 3 (07:51):
But I'm also going to tell you how big of
a lie this letter is.

Speaker 2 (07:57):
He's been married thirteen years.

Speaker 3 (07:59):
He's conflicted now because an ex and moved back into
town to take care of her elderly mother. The elderly
mother was a somebody he had stayed in contact with,
and he loves his ex'es mother and would go by
and check on her because she fell and broke her help.
My wife was fine with me checking on her as

(08:22):
long as my ex was not around anywhere. But now
an ex and moved back into town. Now my ex
is back home, and the wife had told you cut
the ties with the mama, don't go over there no more,
because I don't want you round that woman no more.

Speaker 2 (08:37):
Now my wife does not care here where the life started.

Speaker 3 (08:42):
My wife does not care that my ex is not
my type anymore, or that she is overweight.

Speaker 2 (08:49):
Boy.

Speaker 3 (08:50):
So this dude then told when she found out that
the daughter had moved back into town, the wife told him,
don't go over there no more. He said, gird, she
ain't even my type no more. She done gained all
this weight, she overweight and everything. That's what he told her.
She said, she don't care that your wife ain't your

(09:11):
your ex ain't your type. She told me to stay
away from her now here. Second part of the lie.
I really did try to avoid my ex, but I
can't stop checking on her.

Speaker 2 (09:28):
Mama cold turkey like that she need me. I love her.

Speaker 3 (09:34):
I'm a decent human being, so mster decent human being.
I love her.

Speaker 2 (09:42):
I've been sneaking over to the house a few days
a week, A few days a week.

Speaker 3 (09:48):
What does she break though, I've been sneaking on her
a few days a week, and I've been lying to
my wife.

Speaker 2 (09:58):
Then this is where the wrecked thing happened. In this letter.
He came directly to me. Listen to this line, y'all.

Speaker 3 (10:06):
He said, Steve, I can't help myself because as soon
as I saw.

Speaker 2 (10:12):
My ex it was owned.

Speaker 3 (10:16):
Wasn't man hold dog? I thought she wasn't your type anymore.
See you told your lie out of order. I thought
she wasn't your type anymore and overweight. Steve, I can't
help myself. But as soon as I saw my ex
it was owned. Now here comes oh oh. I said
she wasn't my type because she overweight. But as soon

(10:38):
as I saw he was on. So how do I
fix this part of the lie? Then he says, Now,
no matter how hefty that woman is now.

Speaker 2 (10:48):
She still feel like she did years ago. That's because
she ain't hefty dog, she just thick.

Speaker 3 (10:55):
She done put it on in the right places, and
I got motive, motive work with and what it is,
so now I've been missing that feeling. Then he tried
to really draw me in. He says, like a warm
glass of bourbon with a really expensive cigar.

Speaker 2 (11:14):
I'm what your dog, I'm in. I'm back up in here,
a smooth glass of bourbon and a cigar.

Speaker 3 (11:21):
You got Steve's undivided attention. I feel you, dog, now
I know see he done drug me into it, And
now I know how difficult of a situation this man
is in. You need prayer right now, dog, because there's
nothing you could do. She's always been that good, and
her weight makes it even better.

Speaker 2 (11:42):
That's cause she thinks.

Speaker 3 (11:44):
We been fooling around in her mom's house like we
did when we was young. And I think her mom
know what we're up to.

Speaker 2 (11:49):
Yes, she knows. She'll you over there too much. And
you married, and y'all in the back.

Speaker 3 (11:55):
You ain't still checking on her hip, you ain't win
it at one time, and ask how her hip was.
Then here's what the mom knows what we're up to.
I feel dirty for cheap.

Speaker 2 (12:10):
Listen to this line.

Speaker 3 (12:11):
Now, I feel dirty for cheap, and I can badly
look my wife in the eyes. You have got to
stop making eye contact with your wife. You gotta do
that immediately, because she gonna know crawl in that house,

(12:32):
crawl in that house. And you got to come up
with other reasons for you being uh huh because you
keep making I can badly make eye contact. That's right, man,
because you know you're wrong. My wife would be seriously hurt. Yes,
she would if she found out and she tried to
embarrass me because my ex is big. Now, man, boy,

(12:54):
get off of that. What that got to do with it?

Speaker 1 (12:57):
Steve?

Speaker 3 (12:58):
I can't tell my brother all my fe what I'm
doing because they.

Speaker 2 (13:03):
Would tease me. Okay, don't tell nobody.

Speaker 3 (13:08):
Shut your mouth, quit telling people, and quitn't make an
eye contact with your wife. All your problems will be
solved if quit looking at your wife and quit trying
to tell somebody. How do I get this feeling out
of my brain so I can stop being a cheetah
hard to get that burban this cigar out your brain? Dog,
I'm gonna tell you that right now. One of my
main problems I got right now, it's your figga, that's

(13:30):
my main problem. I can't help you, dog, So appreciate
your calling us, though, Hey, let me know how you
and Big Girl work out.
