Speaker 3 (00:26):
It is Strawberry Letter.
Speaker 4 (00:29):
Thank you nephews. Subject.
Speaker 1 (00:30):
I went home early, and so did he. Dear Stephen Shirley,
my husband and I are down to one car because
he hit debris in the road after an ice storm
in our city. I hate having to be dropped off
at work because I have a flexible schedule and I
can work from home. He's in sales, so he has
to have his own transportation. Last Friday, I chose to
(00:53):
stay home and work, so I had sex with my
man and told him to have a great day.
Speaker 4 (00:58):
By ten am, I got.
Speaker 1 (00:59):
A call to come to the office because a client
had popped up in town. I called my husband to
get a ride but he was too far away to
pick me up. My boss picked me up instead. My
husband called me around one pm to see if I
made it to work, and I told him I made
it and I would need to be picked up around
five pm. We wrapped up our meeting around three point
(01:22):
thirty and my boss dropped me off at home. I
went down to the basement to start working on the
contract for my client. Then I heard a car in
the driveway, so I looked at our cameras. It was
my husband getting out of my car. I could tell
he had a woman in the car, but I couldn't
see a face.
Speaker 4 (01:41):
I stayed quiet.
Speaker 1 (01:42):
In the basement so I could see if he was
going to let her come into my house. He left
her in the car while he changed his shirt, and.
Speaker 4 (01:50):
Then left back out.
Speaker 1 (01:51):
As he drove away, I called, but he didn't answer.
He texted me to see if I needed a ride.
I texted back that I was already home, and I
asked who he had in my car with him and
why was he texting me and not answering my calls.
He never responded that night. He said I was making
(02:12):
more out of it than it was. He said he
didn't answer my calls because he didn't want to be
embarrassed in front of his coworker. What if I hadn't
busted him, do you think he would have admitted it
to me? That would be a no. And you know
he wouldn't have. He wouldn't have admitted anything to you.
He was thinking he could get away with whatever he
(02:34):
called himself doing with the so called coworker, because you know,
he had you at Bay, you were off at work.
Speaker 4 (02:42):
Doing your thing and everything.
Speaker 1 (02:43):
He would check on you every now and then to
see if you needed a ride. But the fact that
he had your car and couldn't pick you up or
you know, just I don't know, he didn't seem like
he really I won't cared whether you got home or not. Really,
you know, it just seems kind of crazy to me.
And not only that he's in your car with another
(03:04):
woman that he brought to your house. All this was
dumb and it was a wrong move on his part.
You never bring another woman to your house, in your
house or any of that. That's why this whole thing
is stupid. And he was more worried about being embarrassed
in front of his coworker. That's what he's calling her
his coworker than answering your call. Why, I mean to me,
(03:27):
that proves that he shouldn't have had her in the
car in the first place. If he didn't want to
take your calls, why was he even with her? And
he most definitely hadn't put her shouldn't have, you know,
put her before you being embarrassed in front of her
before your need.
Speaker 4 (03:42):
So all of this is just wrong on his part
to me, Steve.
Speaker 5 (03:47):
You know, I'm sometimes amazed at Shirley's correction.
Speaker 3 (03:56):
She is so pro relationship, she is so pro.
Speaker 5 (04:02):
Marriage, she is sold pro tradition, she is soap pro.
Speaker 3 (04:10):
Integrity.
Speaker 4 (04:12):
Okay, makes me sick. Whatever, man, whatever.
Speaker 5 (04:24):
Und all these righteous readings of these letters. A lot
went on the letter. I just think the dude is stupid. Man,
I don't understand dudes. Man, what y'all be thinking about? Man? Now,
all this about who got dropped off of the house,
And this is irrelevant that y'all had two cars, but
(04:47):
you're down the one because he hits some debris on
an ice storm in your city. Don't nobody give it
about that. Let's start moving these stories along a little bit. Now,
come on, long, this irrelevant.
Speaker 4 (05:03):
Too much information to him.
Speaker 5 (05:05):
Nobody get this list like bad free Now that's why
I don't like novels and stuff.
Speaker 2 (05:10):
Just what is wrong?
Speaker 5 (05:12):
And let's just find out who saying? Who is he
and what is he to you? It's Bill Withers. That's
how we wrote. So my friend, let's let's get these songs.
Speaker 2 (05:25):
Get to it. What is all this stuff dropped off?
Speaker 6 (05:27):
At work?
Speaker 2 (05:28):
I got a next little schedule, he in sales. I
can work from home.
Speaker 1 (05:32):
What we need to tell.
Speaker 5 (05:38):
Back door and nothing here is all you need to know.
I chose to stay home and work. So I had
sex with my man and told him to have a
great day.
Speaker 2 (05:49):
Because that's really what this letter about.
Speaker 5 (05:53):
Okay, see all this stuff about the debris in the road,
that all she wanted to.
Speaker 2 (06:01):
I had sex with my man and told him have
a great thing.
Speaker 5 (06:08):
See all the angle built up in this letter after that,
mm hmm.
Speaker 3 (06:15):
He gonna pull up in this driveway, just helping.
Speaker 4 (06:17):
This good woman. Uh huh.
Speaker 3 (06:20):
See that's what this letter is about.
Speaker 4 (06:22):
It was wrong for that, And.
Speaker 3 (06:23):
So when I come back and went straightened out, this
is what's wrong, all right?
Speaker 1 (06:29):
Hang on see part two of your Strawberry letter responses
coming up in twenty three minutes after the hour of
today's subject. I went home early, and so did he.
We'll get back into it right after this. You're listening.

All right, come on, see, let's recap today's Struwberry letter.
The subject is I went home early, and so did he.
Speaker 5 (07:28):
We have a situation here. Somebody got dropped off at work.
Somebody's supposed to pick somebody up. Somebody got off early
all this hire. Somebody messed up, ran over some debris
in the street to do an ice storm in our city.
Speaker 3 (07:44):
Oh, none of that means.
Speaker 5 (07:47):
That I had sex with my man and told him
to have a great day.
Speaker 2 (07:59):
This is what this letter.
Speaker 5 (08:01):
Is about So after that, you got a call to
come into the office because a client popped up, So
your boss came and picked you up.
Speaker 2 (08:12):
Now, you didn't tell us whether your boss was a.
Speaker 5 (08:15):
Man or woman. But I'm thinking it's a man. See
because when we talk about who riding with who? See,
when you ride with a man, ain't no problem your
boss coming to pick your How I know where you stay?
How your boss know where you stay? How many times
he'd have been about a house while you've been working
(08:35):
from home?
Speaker 2 (08:36):
See?
Speaker 5 (08:37):
I turned all this on you because you finn to
get your up off of me, right, my boss picked
me up instead. My husband called me around ten to
see if I had made it to work, and I
told him, see, because you had called him to bring you,
but your husband was too far away and you weren't
gonna get there in time. So then my boss picked
(08:59):
me up up instead. My husband called me around one
pm and see if you made it. I told him
I made it. That one pm call was to make
show he was at work.
Speaker 3 (09:12):
See.
Speaker 5 (09:13):
I told him I made it and would need to
be picked up around five. We wrapped up our meeting.
Around three thirty, my boss dropped me off at home. Oh,
he brought you back.
Speaker 2 (09:25):
Yay.
Speaker 5 (09:27):
But see, you knew at three point thirty, though, that
you ain't had time for your boss, because you knew
at five. You had told your husband you was gonna
wrap around five and he was supposed to come get you.
So you wrapped your meeting at three thirty, and then
your boss dropped you off at home again. But he
couldn't come in today because Pubby could be right around
(09:47):
the cone. I went down to the basement to start
working on the contract for my client.
Speaker 3 (09:53):
Oh, so it's the basement.
Speaker 1 (09:55):
Humh.
Speaker 5 (09:57):
Then I heard the car the driveway, so I looked
out cameras. It was my husband getting out of my car.
Speaker 4 (10:03):
Uh.
Speaker 5 (10:03):
After we'd have had sex this morning in with my body.
Now he in my car. I could tell he had
a woman in a car, but I couldn't see her face.
I stayed quiet in the basement so I could see
if he was gonna let her come into my house,
because we both can't be having people up in this house,
(10:24):
because we don't know if your boss had never been
in the house while he dropping you up and picking
your act though, see what I'm saying, he left her
in the car while he changed his shirt and then
he left back out as he drove away, I called,
but he didn't anounce. This is the only smart thing
he did. Why he bought this helper to the house?
Speaker 3 (10:42):
I do now.
Speaker 2 (10:43):
He texted me to see if I needed a ride.
Speaker 5 (10:46):
I text back that I was already home, and I
asked who he had in my car with him, and
why was he texting me and not answering my call.
He never responded. That was another brilliant move. But this
is too late. After the fact. You hadn't took the
help to the driveway, you wouldn't have had to explain this.
But you no, you cannot answer that phone that night,
(11:08):
he said, I was making more out of it than
it was. He said he did not answer my call
because he didn't want to be embarrassed in front of
his coworker. And that's the truth. That's the only piece
of truth in this letter from you all him to me,
because see, once you accused me of her what he
(11:30):
dropped you off?
Speaker 2 (11:32):
He picked you up.
Speaker 5 (11:34):
Well, holl long, wait, how you get to call your
boss because y'all have been having two cars now all
of a sudden, when you need a ride, here he
come and modin happy to get over here. Now, I
was with my coworker, co worker. Shirley says, it's his
soul called co worker. I believe it to be his
co worker, But I don't believe he should have brought
(11:56):
her to the house.
Speaker 2 (11:57):
I believe that's your boss. But why at your boss.
Speaker 5 (12:00):
At my house? And why is you going out there
getting in this man's car? You know how to make
me look to the neighbors.
Speaker 4 (12:08):
The problem is the husband and the cowork.
Speaker 5 (12:10):
Now you see what I'm saying about the problem is
gonna be about this boss man up in my house.
Speaker 2 (12:15):
That's what it is fit to be.
Speaker 5 (12:17):
And then she says, what if I hadn't busted him,
do you think he would have admitted it to me?
Speaker 2 (12:22):
Admit what?
Speaker 3 (12:24):
No?
Speaker 2 (12:25):
Are you crazy?
Speaker 4 (12:35):
You never admit a shower?
Speaker 2 (12:37):
Admit what?
Speaker 4 (12:39):
You never tell the truth?
Speaker 5 (12:41):
The truth? Would I admit? I tell the truth a
lot of times I'm not admitting you to see, especially
for black men, because admit is a shorter word for
admission of guilt, and that guilt fit to do.
Speaker 4 (13:00):
So Lance the phone when I call all of that.
Speaker 3 (13:03):
All right.
Speaker 4 (13:06):
With her? Bass, No, you do not? She how did you.
Speaker 2 (13:11):
Get that out? Of the letter and I don't know
why y'all don't.
Speaker 4 (13:14):
See because en pick her up, all right.
Speaker 1 (13:17):
