Speaker 1 (00:01):
Up.
Speaker 2 (00:17):
Come.
Speaker 3 (00:20):
Uh huh, I sure will. Good morning everybody. You're listening
to the voice, Come on, come on, y'all dig me now.
One and only Steve Harvey got a radio show.
Speaker 4 (00:32):
Man.
Speaker 5 (00:33):
Is God good to me? Unbelievable? Yeah, he is?
Speaker 3 (00:36):
And and and I can only attribute it to one thing.
It's just been a turnaround in my life. It's it's
been me finally making decision to see what all God
has for me, but at the same time trying to
be more God want me to be instead of more
of what I want to be.
Speaker 5 (00:54):
That's the trade off.
Speaker 3 (00:55):
You know, you gotta do something now, you know, you
know you want God's blessings, you got to be willing
to do something on his behalf.
Speaker 5 (01:01):
And I'm not saying I got it right right now,
because I'm just being real with you. Don't.
Speaker 3 (01:08):
I don't have it all together by any stretch of imagination.
I'm trying to get better in several areas. I'm praying
about it, I'm working on it. But you know, it's
a process, and I've grown to accept the process. But
I'm improving in a lot of areas from day to day.
But I'll tell you what, man, my success all that's
(01:28):
going on with me. I can only attribute to this turnaround.
And the turnaround was simple. I turned around and started
looking at God. That was a simple move, man. I
just turned around and started looking at him, and I
was going, Okay, I get it. Now, you created me.
You're the creator. You have a purpose for me. I
(01:50):
understand that.
Speaker 5 (01:51):
Now.
Speaker 3 (01:52):
Now let me just walk in that purpose and let
me get to doing that purpose. Now, My purpose and
your purpose, their purpose, and anybody's purpose could be different,
and the way you go about the purpose can be different.
And that's the part that I've really grown up to.
I've opened up my mind to understanding that everybody's different,
(02:15):
nobody's quite the same, and that is not my right
or position to judge, but to be of a forgiving
spirit and understand and forgive those as I ask God
to forgive me.
Speaker 5 (02:27):
See that's the key. That's the key, y'all.
Speaker 3 (02:30):
So when you're out here and you stuck on this unforgiveness,
understand in the Large Prayer, as a segment that says
forgive us our trustpasses as we forgive those who truspass
against us. There's another version says forgive us our debts
as we forgive our debtors. It's two different versions, but
(02:51):
either one it means the exact same thing. It means
simply this, that you are asking God to forgive your
like you forgive others. Forgive us our trust passes as
we forgive those who trust pass against us. When I
cross the line with you, God handle me the way
(03:12):
I handle people when they cross the line with me.
You feel what I'm saying to you. See you understand that.
That's the breakdown of it. Best way I can give
it to you. Forgive us our trustpasses as we forgive
those who trustpass against us. Forgive me God for stepping
over the line, like I forgive those that step over
the line on me. That's the hard part, man, That's
(03:34):
the part man, I've really been working on. I've been
really trying to get that together. And so I've learned
forgiveness a lot better over the past five years than
I have before.
Speaker 5 (03:45):
And it's paid off.
Speaker 3 (03:47):
I can't tell you how it's paid off, because now
God's mercy and grace is all over me because I've
learned to become more graceful.
Speaker 5 (03:58):
Now I ain't graceful life him. I ain't merciful like him.
But I've learned to become more more graceful, more merciful,
because man, I can't live my life like that. I
just got sick of me.
Speaker 3 (04:11):
Man, you mad at me, now I'm mad at you.
You hate on me, now I'm more hate on you.
I ain't got time for that. Man, I've got you.
Look here, you got somewhere to go. Hate take up time.
It's time consuming.
Speaker 5 (04:26):
Hating.
Speaker 3 (04:27):
Trying to seek revenge just time consuming. It take up
way too much of your time to seek revenge when
vengeance ain't really yours. That's another one. Vengeance is mine,
say if the lord it ain't yours. So now when
you go to seek it, to take it out, guess
what you're doing. You're doing something now, man. Now you
(04:47):
off in the area that you got no business being in,
and instead of steady climbing your letterer like you're supposed to,
you don't take out time for vengeance.
Speaker 5 (04:57):
To hate.
Speaker 3 (04:58):
I'm a hater. I'm a be a blogger. I'm a
blog about so and so. When you're blogging about somebody,
and most of these people you don't even know. When
you're blogging about somebody, what you're doing, what you're hating.
It takes time to hate.
Speaker 5 (05:15):
Man.
Speaker 3 (05:16):
I just decided, Man, I got to take all my
time and instead of doing time and being active, I
got to be proactive. See, some people get that confused,
being active and being proactive. Pro is positive. Pro means
to move forward. You know, if you put pro in
(05:38):
front of most words, it's a positive influence. You know,
there's the pros and the cons. The pros is the
good side. The cons is what can go wrong the
bad side. You know, if you're active, that's one thing.
But if you proactive, you're going forward in a positive direction.
When you become a pro that means you the best
(05:59):
of the best at whatever it is you chosen to be.
I'm a pro so somehow, and I'm no English teacher,
a grammatical god. The word pro a lot of times,
when you put it in front of something, means positiveness.
So now a lot of people think that if you
just active, something are to happen. Well, I'm doing something,
(06:22):
and that's what happens.
Speaker 2 (06:23):
Man.
Speaker 3 (06:23):
We just find ourselves doing a lot of busy work
that really ain't bouting nothing and ain't going nowhere. It
ain't got no direction or no purpose because we haven't
tried to find out the direction of a purpose. So
you wake up and you and your wheels are spinning.
You a hamster on a treadmill. You're running real fast,
but you're just going in the same spot. You understand,
that's cause you're just out here being active instead of proactive.
Speaker 5 (06:46):
Why don't you get God in your life?
Speaker 3 (06:48):
Why don't you turn and face your creative and find
out how to become more proactive so you can do
things to move yourself forward. How you can get your
life off the ground and get off the tread meal
and really get it rolling in the direction that it
needed to be going. Man, I'm telling you, God can
make that change for you if he see you making
(07:09):
the change for him. See the whole key, man, the
whole key is. You got to be willing to do something.
You got to give God something to bless Bless me God,
And then you go sit on your couch and you
ain't trying. Okay, bless me God with what what are
you working with? He can't have the people hire you
(07:31):
if you ain't put the app in. Come on, man,
the blessing comes when you make a proactive step, when
you try to do something on the positive side. Look, man,
I'm gonna quit messing around with all these people. I'm
gonna start going home. I'm gonna leave these women long
out here. You got to say, all right, man, I
ain't going.
Speaker 5 (07:49):
Over that tonight. I just ain't gonna get it.
Speaker 3 (07:52):
Then God can work with you. God help me stop
seeing all these women. But you steady going over there
calling him setting up stuff. Can nobody help you? Because
once you get over there, you already know. See, you
gotta get proactive. You gotta do something yourself. You make
one step, he'll make two. That's the key man.
Speaker 6 (08:14):

Morning Show.

Yeah you just here, Yeah you ain't. You ain't gotta

Moving on to Bree in Spartanburg, Bree writes, my husband
went to happy hour after work. I texted him to
let him know I was stopping by. He was at
a table alone, and there was an empty wine glass
with lipstick on the rim. He said it was one
of his co workers, and they all left before I
got there. How convenient was U there? Was he there
(21:59):
with the woman or was he there with his coworkers?
Like sa, that's where the co workers go?
Speaker 2 (22:03):
Yeah?
Speaker 10 (22:04):
Absolutely, co workers. But it was one glass.
Speaker 5 (22:07):
There's a group of them.
Speaker 3 (22:08):
And then by the time you got there, you take
you came by. He didn't leave you sitting in that
table bicyle wide glass with some lifting co workers.
Speaker 5 (22:16):
Co workers.
Speaker 6 (22:17):
It looks looks suss though, Steve. Don't you think looks
suss suspect?
Speaker 2 (22:21):
Yeah?
Speaker 10 (22:22):
Yeah, it does.
Speaker 5 (22:23):
About that?
Speaker 1 (22:25):
Oh you don't care how it looks.
Speaker 5 (22:29):
That's that's that's the sus is the reason we have to.
Speaker 6 (22:33):
Not Okay, So there were a bunch of co workers.
Where are all their glasses? It's just one glass?
Speaker 5 (22:42):
You got about this? I answered to clear his table
several times because.
Speaker 1 (22:52):
Over services he do.
Speaker 2 (22:56):
I know.
Speaker 10 (22:59):
She'll not get a tip?
Speaker 5 (23:04):
All right?
Speaker 13 (23:05):
All right?
Speaker 6 (23:06):
Moving on to Jarvis in Dallas, Jarvis writes, my daughter
vinted to me about her husband. I didn't want to
get involved, but I called him and I threatened him
without getting his side of the story. I later found
out that he was not wrong, my daughter was. So
I apologize to my son in law. My daughter is
(23:28):
very upset because I took his side. How do I
fix it?
Speaker 5 (23:33):
Whoa, Yeah, you ain't gonna be fixed that one doll.
I've done that.
Speaker 10 (23:36):
So you've wait a minute, We've done that. We've done that.
Speaker 5 (23:40):
Yeah, well, I know my doing a lot so all
the time.
Speaker 10 (23:44):
But you but you don't go against them, you're saying.
Speaker 5 (23:47):
Now, I don't go against them. I didn't know, you
know what it broke up? What they broke up. I
didn't know. I would not supposed to be cool with it.
Speaker 10 (24:01):
If I hate him, we all hate him?
Speaker 5 (24:03):
Okay, yeah, I just roches found that out. Yeah, thats
to be called my hate.
Speaker 10 (24:08):
I know, yes, So there there's no way he can
fix it with his daughter though and explain his side.
Speaker 5 (24:17):
Did you?
Speaker 10 (24:18):
Were you able to fix it?
Speaker 5 (24:20):
Yeah?
Speaker 1 (24:21):
How did you?
Speaker 10 (24:22):
How did you do it?
Speaker 5 (24:24):
I told it. I talked to him. I said, hey, man,
I don't ever say nothing to me again. Shake that's what.
Speaker 4 (24:32):
Did he say?
Speaker 12 (24:33):
You broke up?
Speaker 4 (24:35):
Oh?
Speaker 5 (24:35):
I didn't. I didn't say that to him.
Speaker 10 (24:37):
I told her that what I see Oh, Okay, okay, Lie,
I guess what?
Speaker 5 (24:45):
Thank you?
Speaker 2 (24:45):
What?
Speaker 1 (24:46):
Cool?
Speaker 5 (24:47):
Okay?
Speaker 10 (24:48):
So, so have you seen him since though, again I'm.
Speaker 5 (24:55):
Seeing each other slim to none. That's why good. What
if you do, Sam, what are you gonna do? I'm
gonna tell meet me in the bathroom and we dap
up in the hall.
Speaker 6 (25:12):
So you're suggesting you're suggesting this dad do the same thing?
Speaker 3 (25:19):
Uh yeah, yeah, Okay, here's what you do. Pull your
son in law to the side and say, hey, man,
girls can be girls.
Speaker 5 (25:33):
I was wrong. That's why I'm apologizing to you.
Speaker 2 (25:38):
Now.
Speaker 3 (25:38):
Listen, I'm gonna tell my daughter that I talk to you.
How I want you to do is act like be spoken.
You know, he straightened me out about some things, and
then you so we can keep it, to keep the
whole family.
Speaker 5 (25:54):
Together and keep things.
Speaker 3 (25:56):
Can't wait? She don't pause in you with her mom
and all like that. You gotta keep You don't know
how to be peaceful?
Speaker 10 (26:03):
Oh okay, so just to keep the peace, you want
him to lie?
Speaker 6 (26:06):
Okay, And you say that was so much fiction, like
you're just right, all right, moving on.
Speaker 5 (26:17):
I'm actually what all I'm saying is like borderline. Really
really you feel good?
Speaker 10 (26:22):
About yourself right.
Speaker 5 (26:24):
Now, save relationship.
Speaker 6 (26:27):
Yeah, it was what you do all right? Last one Colo,
This is from Katina in Portland. Katina writes, I'm studying
for my real estate license and I surprised my husband
with the news. He said, it's not wise to quit
my job for real estate because it's a hard business.
Speaker 10 (26:45):
He's a real to too. So is he giving me
sound advice or is he hating on me?
Speaker 3 (26:54):
Well, it is a hard business, yeah, because you only
get paid when you make a sale.
Speaker 10 (27:00):
Mm hmm.
Speaker 3 (27:02):
So it's all dependent on you. He's saying, don't quit
your job because yours is steady.
Speaker 5 (27:11):
Well, you know a little bit of hate me and
you you're gonna want to come down at the office.
Speaker 10 (27:16):
With him and thing fast.
Speaker 3 (27:19):
You want to work for the same brokerage company he with.
You know, you know he don't want you down.
Speaker 10 (27:26):
Put me on, baby, put me on. Yeah, okay, so
you have a lot of work.
Speaker 5 (27:33):
It is too much work. I wouldn't want you, you know, but.
Speaker 6 (27:39):
I mean, yeah, maybe for a while. She could do
both until she gets really good at it. And what
if she gets good at it, then she's better than him.
She sells more houses than him, that's going to create
a problem.
Speaker 5 (27:51):
Wish my wife made money. Do you really.
Speaker 10 (27:59):
Don't we all.
Speaker 2 (28:03):
Do that?
Speaker 6 (28:05):
Uh huh?
Speaker 1 (28:06):
What would you do, Steve? With your jobs?
Speaker 10 (28:09):
You living the soft life.
Speaker 5 (28:12):
Steve pressure.
Speaker 8 (28:16):
So you making the bands and stuff and clean house.
Speaker 5 (28:22):
I'm doing that for I don't do that.
Speaker 10 (28:26):
So you still have Yeah, you got your people.
Speaker 5 (28:29):
Yeah, we got some more. We got some more money.
Speaker 6 (28:36):
All right, thank you, Celo. Coming up at the top
of the hour, we will have some entertainment news for you.
Right after this. You already know what it is. Measure mat.
Speaker 1 (28:45):
She go bean, and you are now listening to the
Steve Hobby Morning Show.
Speaker 10 (28:49):
You're listening Steve Harvey Morning Show.
Speaker 6 (28:56):
Magbie Stallion is getting right for Hot Girls summer with
a spicy new fitness routine. The Hot Girl coach shared
a clip from pole dancing class and on Instagram stories,
writing that her current routine has been pole class and pilates.
She joked with her followers she said, give me another
two months with these pole classes.
Speaker 10 (29:15):
I'm gonna be cold.
Speaker 6 (29:17):
The update comes after a busy stretch that included, of course,
Megan's Broadway day view in Mulin Rouge the musical, her
public split from Clay Thompson and the relaunch of her
Hot Girl summer swimwear line, which she is presenting during
Miami Swim Week. So she's busy, she's got a lot
of stuff going on. She's getting right for the summer.
(29:38):
She's moving on with her life.
Speaker 10 (29:40):
That's a good thing, that girl.
Speaker 5 (29:43):
YadA YadA ya.
Speaker 10 (29:44):
Yeah, she is beautiful. Yeah, she's healing and moving on.
Speaker 1 (29:57):
You know, thank you that part.
Speaker 6 (30:03):
And stop posting. That's all I got to say. Stop
posting your first yeah, all right. In other entertainment news,
last week, Sherry Shepherd Our Girl, bid farewell to her
talk show. According to TMZ, Sherry was asked if she
ever thought about taking the show to YouTube or podcast.
Sherry admitted that if she started a podcast, she wanted
(30:26):
it to be set apart from the millions of other podcasts.
So she wants to do something different to her own thing,
you know, no comparisons or whatever. So Steve Sherry's ratings
were strong, they were really strong. But the evolving daytime
television landscape has changed, you know that very well. So
how did you feel when you left your daytime talk show?
Speaker 5 (30:48):
I mean, you know, it was.
Speaker 3 (30:52):
I got I just moved I've been counseled so many times.
I just know how to hear about my biz because
every time the door closes, another what opens.
Speaker 10 (31:02):
That's right. I definitely think Sherry is gonna land on
her feet, Yeah for sure.
Speaker 1 (31:08):
Why is daytime TV so difficult?
Speaker 2 (31:10):
Now? Though?
Speaker 1 (31:11):
You know, we saw Kelly clarkson show she being canceled.
Speaker 6 (31:15):
Or she's taking a break, yeah she quld Yeah, yeah, look,
it's like listen, it's different.
Speaker 3 (31:21):
Daytime is hard because people just don't watch TV like
that anymore.
Speaker 10 (31:27):
No, they don't.
Speaker 5 (31:28):
Nobody.
Speaker 3 (31:29):
Nobody's sitting there waiting at four o'clock, waiting at three o'clock.
People now they stream these shows, they watch them on
Hulu and watch eight in a row, and they show
beinge watching yeah being so you know, they're not getting
the ratings that they get. So when you don't get
the ratings, you can't command the ad dollars like you
used to. And once you can't command the ad dollars,
(31:50):
what covers the cost of that thirty six million dollar
TV show? Because that's what it costs to produce a
daytime show about thirty six million person.
Speaker 10 (31:59):
While so Jennifer Hudson's show and.
Speaker 1 (32:03):
It's still on. She got remode and Sam.
Speaker 10 (32:07):
Yeah, thirty six million?
Speaker 2 (32:09):
What see?
Speaker 4 (32:12):
We don't know what?
Speaker 10 (32:14):
Yeah, I had no idea.
Speaker 5 (32:15):
That's my Jennifer Hudson interview.
Speaker 6 (32:23):
But Sherry's ratings were strong, right, Cherry's really good man, Yeah,
and her show still got killed.
Speaker 5 (32:30):
Sherry had everything she could interview. She was funny, she's
a comedian.
Speaker 3 (32:37):
Yes, she could carry the interview when when the person
she was interviewing wasn't doing well.
Speaker 10 (32:42):
That's right, that's right, that's right.
Speaker 5 (32:44):
Jennifer Hudson's strong suit is I don't care what happened?
Can you just sing sing?
Speaker 10 (32:50):
Yeah, and that makes it all better, like butter.
Speaker 12 (32:53):
Yeah, they are both Calatoon women. So then let me
ask you about late night talk show Stephen Coke. Is
it just as expensive to produce late night talk shows
as it is with daytime?
Speaker 1 (33:06):
We all know why he was forced out.
Speaker 3 (33:09):
The present imagine, So because it's an expensive endeavor to
do night time.
Speaker 12 (33:14):
Yeah, and do people watch late night talk shows like
they used to, you know, back in the day.
Speaker 2 (33:19):
With.
Speaker 5 (33:23):
Anymore nothing? Yeah?
Speaker 10 (33:26):
Yeah, it's all different.
Speaker 3 (33:27):
Because of streaming services. So it's just too many options
to watch.
Speaker 6 (33:33):
So having even said that, Steve, would you consider doing
another uh daytime talk show or even a nighttime talk show?
Speaker 10 (33:41):
I know that was your dream at once.
Speaker 3 (33:43):
Because no, because it's two time considered. I don't want
to be sitting on a set trying to make a
show every day. It takes all day.
Speaker 10 (33:53):
Okay, all right?
Speaker 5 (33:55):
And now I like fishing and everything, so.
Speaker 10 (34:00):
Do a fishing show.
Speaker 5 (34:02):
I thought about that.
Speaker 8 (34:03):
You have something else to talk about?
Speaker 7 (34:04):
Can we move on?
Speaker 1 (34:05):
What's you.
Speaker 6 (34:08):
Know?
Speaker 7 (34:08):
I work for that talk show and Kenny Closser took
my job. That's what I wanted was how Steve doing?
Speaker 1 (34:12):
How I'm doing?
Speaker 8 (34:15):
I'm worried about how Steve Bill?
Speaker 10 (34:17):
That was my job.
Speaker 8 (34:18):
That's another job I lost to Kenny Chalk. Why we
keep talking about this?
Speaker 7 (34:24):
The last day at Steve talk show, I was the
last one leading building. I sat in my office till
the Cleveland people came in.
Speaker 1 (34:32):
How Steve doing?
Speaker 8 (34:33):
How Junior doing?
Speaker 10 (34:35):
We didn't mean a neglect.
Speaker 1 (34:37):
He ain't gonna do it no more?
Speaker 8 (34:39):
No, I ain't finna get another check.
Speaker 10 (34:44):
I forgot you felt that too, Junior?
Speaker 2 (34:46):
Yeah?
Speaker 8 (34:48):
I would still you lost doctor all we lost.
Speaker 7 (34:54):
I still look at him now my speech. They said,
dr OUs what see you call me right there.
Speaker 8 (35:02):
Fix your face.
Speaker 6 (35:03):
Yeah, because we had to tell him.
Speaker 10 (35:05):
To fix his face.
Speaker 8 (35:07):
Fix your face.
Speaker 5 (35:09):
I haven't been down there since, right.
Speaker 10 (35:15):
Him. All right, Sherry, We wish you the best, my dear.
Speaker 6 (35:20):
Uh, we know you land on your feet coming up
at twenty minutes after that, Stephen Marjorie Harvey Foundation is
on a mission.
Speaker 10 (35:27):

Speaker 10 (35:33):
Hey, this is Keisha Cole, Lost people.
Speaker 5 (35:35):

Speaker 10 (35:36):

The Steven Marjorie Harvey Foundation Golf tournament is today's Steve
congratulation on another one.
Speaker 10 (36:20):
This is awesome. You do this every year.
Speaker 6 (36:22):
The Foundation's pop show Yes is to provide mentoring, educational enrichment,
mental awareness, mental wellness support, and life skills development for
underserved youth and their families. In addition, your Foundation provides
scholarships and college readiness follow up programs and more. Did
I miss anything, Steve? You guys do so much well.
(36:45):
The main program for the boys is a lot more
simpler for me. I'm trying to make better men out
of boards. I'm trying to produce a better quality man.
Whether you go to college, it's not important to me,
whether you go to the mil, military that. Whatever choice
you make in life is, I'm fine with it. I
(37:05):
just want you to make the choice to be a
good man, a respectable man, follow the law, take care
of your family, take care of your children, honor and
respect women.
Speaker 3 (37:17):
You know, dream, follow your dreams, chase your dreams, be
an honorable man. Do what you say you're gonna do.
That's the main focus for me. You know, well, we
send a lot of kids to college, We send a
lot of kids to the ministry to send the kids,
flight school, got engineering all that.
Speaker 5 (37:35):
We produce some really really good kids on this.
Speaker 3 (37:39):
You know, in spite of all of the things that
required from corporations who give and you know we've met
it all.
Speaker 5 (37:47):
You know, it's just some people they you know, you know,
if you want.
Speaker 3 (37:52):
To help us, help us, but don't make the requirements
up to help us, have to change our program to
fit your reques.
Speaker 5 (38:00):
I'm not going to do that.
Speaker 3 (38:02):
I'm going to continue producing the best boy that I
can produce to turn them into the best man. And
so it's the goal with the girls program, and that's
what we do, right And do you have the analytics
that follow them through college? What's the follow up? Well,
all of the boys are not going to college. Well,
you're not trying to get students into college. No, everybody
(38:24):
don't have to go to college to be great, mister Harvey.
Education is necessary.
Speaker 5 (38:29):
I agree. I agree with you.
Speaker 3 (38:30):
I don't have a problem with education if that's part
of your goal and your dream. I have no problem
with education at all. Well, how are they going to
be great without an education?
Speaker 5 (38:40):
Well? I did so. I'm just saying it's available. It's
a pathway.
Speaker 3 (38:47):
If we just try to show the pathway, if you
get your faith together with God, if you focus on
being righteous, if you do the right things, if you
follow the law, if you chase your dreams, if you
become a good human being. That's what's required of you,
you know, And so that's where we've had a lot
of success with that.
Speaker 5 (39:07):
I'm very very proud of it. Boys will be here.
Speaker 6 (39:11):
In a few weeks, so they come all right, Well,
thanks for what you do, and Marjorie, thanks for all
you guys do to help out our young men and
our young women.
Speaker 5 (39:23):
Thank you.
Speaker 10 (39:24):
We appreciated the Steve and Marjorie Harvey Foundation.
Speaker 1 (39:27):
Come yeah.
Speaker 6 (39:28):
Coming up at thirty four minutes after the hour, Life's
Truths for children born in the sixties, seventies, and eighties.
We'll talk about that right after this. You're listening Steve
Harvey Morning Show. It is no secret that many people
believe today's younger generations have been raised a little differently
than those who came before them. Parents today are often
(39:52):
more involved, more protective, and more intentional about shielding their
children from life's disappointments and hardships. As a result, many
lessons that previous generations learned through trial and era like
us are not taught with guidance, support and safety nets.
Here's some hard truths that many people born in the
(40:12):
seventies the eighties have learned just through first hand experience.
Please feel free, and I know you guys will add
to this list. One of the things where you're in
control of your own life. Okay, we came home to
an empty house. We had to take care of ourselves
at an early age, take care of our younger siblings.
Speaker 10 (40:35):
We had to cook.
Speaker 6 (40:36):
We knew how to cook, clean, all of that at
a young age. We were latch key kids. Yes, anything
you want to add to that.
Speaker 3 (40:48):
Steve, I can do amazing stuff. I was by myself.
Like we had that refrigerator. I knew how to open
it and not leave no signs that it was open.
Speaker 2 (41:01):
How do you do that?
Speaker 5 (41:04):
Everything back where it was?
Speaker 2 (41:06):
Oh?
Speaker 3 (41:06):
Okay, level limes level Like if I joint too much
on juice, put little water in, get the level back there.
Speaker 1 (41:13):
Oh all right.
Speaker 6 (41:18):
This is some things that the parents taught the kids.
You have to create closure for yourself. I mean, we
had to deal with our own emotions. No one cared
that you were upset.
Speaker 1 (41:30):
About us.
Speaker 3 (41:31):
We didn't have mental awareness back then no, we did, No,
we did not. I bet you better get over it.
Speaker 1 (41:39):
Yeah, all right.
Speaker 6 (41:45):
When we were in relationships, we knew that relationships required effort.
We had to work on our relationships. I mean we
really did. We had to talk, We had to communicate.
We didn't have all this social media texting.
Speaker 5 (41:58):
Calling back with no call waiting.
Speaker 8 (42:05):
Just just be busy at you at the eight rings.
Speaker 2 (42:08):
Just be.
Speaker 5 (42:11):
And not in die this number with that rotary and
then go around click it again.
Speaker 6 (42:24):
Boy?
Speaker 12 (42:26):
And what about what about when your parents are you?
You know they told you to get off the phone.
I'm expecting to call.
Speaker 3 (42:32):
Yeah.
Speaker 6 (42:34):
That and what you better not do if your parents
on the phone is breaking Remember those emergency phone calls
you had to get the operator to break in the line.
Speaker 1 (42:45):
Oh I never did that. I knew it.
Speaker 5 (42:47):
That's the death.
Speaker 3 (42:48):
Breaking the line. Yeah, paying for no lines around here?
You're breaking this house. Tell us what you want, but
you better not breaking your line.
Speaker 10 (42:57):
Oh yeah, very true. All right, faking until you make it.
Speaker 5 (43:02):
I know the hell you ain't in here on this phone.
You hear that lightning?
Speaker 9 (43:06):
Oh yeah, I turned that TV off? Can get any
to sit down in the dark and quick move it
Tommy was with all of that, though he does not
like thunder and lightning.
Speaker 6 (43:20):
Okay, well, fake it till you make it, that's another one.
We had to do all of that until we got there.
Speaker 2 (43:26):
Steve.
Speaker 10 (43:27):
I know you know about this one.
Speaker 5 (43:29):
Ye'ah. Faked it till I was thirty eight.
Speaker 10 (43:38):
I believe were you faking?
Speaker 2 (43:39):
Now?
Speaker 5 (43:40):
What was your fake?
Speaker 10 (43:44):
That wasn't you turn my car.
Speaker 5 (43:45):
And walk off from my car and my car be
back over there shaking.
Speaker 3 (43:49):
I walk and acts like it wasn't my car, and
then this brother, the brother, your car is still running
over there.
Speaker 5 (43:57):
Yeah, I know, I know it, man, Just it'll stop.
Speaker 2 (43:59):
In the.
Speaker 6 (44:04):
I loved your stories about when you went to like
an Earth Winding Fire concert, for instance, and you pretend
like you're in the band or something, you dress.
Speaker 5 (44:11):
Like them, whatever the theme was. That's what I was.
Speaker 1 (44:16):
Fake it till you make it? Yeah, your confidence don't Yeah,
fake it till you make it?
Speaker 10 (44:22):
And yeah, all right, guys, thank you.
Speaker 6 (44:25):
Coming up next, it is a prank phone call for
today with Junior in for the nephew. Right after this,
you're listening to the Steve Harvey Morning Show coming up
in the top of the hour, right about four minutes after.
It is my strawberry letter for today, and the subject
is I want to see it every time. That could
(44:49):
mean a lot. Yeah, yeah, we're gonna get into it. Yeah,
every time I want to see it. We'll get into
it in just a few fun That what that's all about.
Because right now Junior is here. He's here, he's in
for the nephew with today's prank phone call.
Speaker 10 (45:07):
Junior, what you got for us?
Speaker 2 (45:08):
Yeah?
Speaker 8 (45:08):
I got the message from the nephew. And this is
something he always does. But it's always something with naked
in it. It's always nicked something.
Speaker 10 (45:18):
Yeah, that's how you know it's him. Yeah, that's how
you know it's him.
Speaker 5 (45:21):
Uh huh, you too?
Speaker 1 (45:26):
How can you tell?
Speaker 5 (45:27):
What's Junior?
Speaker 1 (45:29):
Nudity?
Speaker 8 (45:29):
Nicked?
Speaker 1 (45:30):
That's Tommy's.
Speaker 5 (45:32):
You're looking at the top of jr.
Speaker 10 (45:33):
Head, you know, see.
Speaker 5 (45:38):
Right there?
Speaker 10 (45:41):
You are relentless with it.
Speaker 4 (45:44):
Are you saying?

if they can afford the rent or not. You know,

Speaker 3 (53:00):

The last thing I'm gonna do is give you this
new barbershop chart that I finished.
Speaker 1 (53:08):

the time.
Speaker 5 (53:13):

Speaker 10 (53:15):
Well, who is it about?
Speaker 5 (53:16):
Yes, yeah, it's a chart that can go and barber
shops everywhere.
Speaker 8 (53:22):
For people like me. For people like me, it's a choice.
Speaker 5 (53:25):

Speaker 2 (53:29):
Yeah.
Speaker 5 (53:30):
Do I have enough time to tell you what your
chart is? Okay?
Speaker 10 (53:32):

Speaker 8 (53:34):

You never know, Buckle Leaven, hold on tight. We got
it for you. Here it is Strawberry.
Speaker 6 (54:57):
LETTA thank you nephew subject. I want to see it
every time. Dear Stephen Shirley. I'm a thirty five year
old married woman, and I think all bodies are beautiful,
but my husband's is exquisite. He's got the curly chest, hair,
a little gut love handles and a real heavy hammer
that has had me hooked on him for fourteen years.
(55:20):
We met fourteen years ago at David Buster's, where we
both worked while we were in college. My first day
of work, he told me that I was going to
be his wife, and he showed me what my reward
would be for marrying him. It was the most beautiful
thing I had ever seen, and to this very day,
I still want to see it every time I'm in
(55:42):
his presence, whether we're being intimate or not. He thinks
I've got a problem, but I don't see how loving
him from his head to his toes could be a problem.
He used to send me photos while I was at work,
but he said that got old and I should be
past that stage of our marriage.
Speaker 10 (56:00):
But I'm trying to keep the magic going. I don't
say anything to him.
Speaker 6 (56:04):
If he falls wants to fall asleep with his hand
on my breast, So why is it a big deal
if I want to share, want to stare at his anatomy.
He says, being freaky has a time and a place,
and he's afraid that our sexting could get him in trouble.
Speaker 10 (56:18):
One day.
Speaker 6 (56:19):
It makes me think that he's getting tired of me
and making up excuses. I don't understand what the.
Speaker 10 (56:24):
Big deal is.
Speaker 6 (56:25):
What's his is mine and vice versa. My boobs are
his to do as he pleases, So why is he
putting restrictions on what I do with his body?
Speaker 10 (56:34):
Now?
Speaker 6 (56:34):
He comes home and he showers with the door locked,
so I can't sit in the bathroom and talk to him.
He says he's keeping the marriage fresh and trying something new,
but I think there's a little more to it than that.
Could he be showing it to someone else? Wow, this
letter is strange because at thirty five, and I'm assuming
your husband is around that age too, because you didn't
(56:56):
say it was older or anything. But at thirty five,
you wouldn't think that would be that much of a
problem for him. You said you're trying to keep the
magic going. But I think there's something going on with him,
and it sounds like he just wants you to stop
asking him every day.
Speaker 10 (57:11):
I think he's over it. I think he's tired of
it and.
Speaker 6 (57:14):
He just wants some peace. He's at work. You want
pictures of it. He's trying to shower, You want pictures
of it. You want to watch him. It's gotten to
be too much, especially when he's at work. He's right,
he could get caught sending you pictures, and then what
what if he gets fired?
Speaker 8 (57:33):
All of that?
Speaker 6 (57:34):
You know, you got to think of all of that.
Sometimes people just want to shower by themselves. They want
some me times, some alone time. Sometimes they do that.
But it's like every time he turns around there you
are want him let you see it. He shouldn't have
to lock the bathroom door from his wife, but the
constant let me see it, let me see it from
(57:55):
you has just simply gotten on his nerves. I think,
especially if you're not being intimate at the time, you
just want to see it whenever, wherever. The question is,
why does he want you to stop? I don't think
there's enough to go on to say he's showing it
to someone else, So get that out your mind. I
(58:16):
just think he needs a break from you nagging him
to let you let you see it every single day.
Just let him be it, Let it be organic and natural.
Speaker 3 (58:26):
Steve, this is a thirty five year old married woman
that thinks all bodies are beautiful, but my husband's is exquisite.
Speaker 5 (58:38):
Here lies the problem.
Speaker 3 (58:41):
Here's a thirty five year old woman who has stated
up front she thinks all bodies is beautiful right down?
Speaker 5 (58:53):
Oh really, really, lady, you think all by it is
this beautiful.
Speaker 3 (59:03):
So you thought you'd open this letter with this statement,
and that Uncle Steve wasn't gonna pick up on this one.
Right here, let me make a real fact. All bodies
ain't beautiful, and everybody ain't got a beautiful body, know it?
Ask them plastic surgeons at an all time high cause
(59:23):
something wrong. And you think something is wrong, so you
want to go do something about it. So let's stop
this lie. All bodies ain't beautiful, and your husbands is exquisite.
And then you went on to describe him. He got
card of chess hair, a little gut love handles.
Speaker 5 (59:48):
Right there right there.
Speaker 3 (59:51):
How hard we're trying to work on these guts out
of here? You know how we he want these love hammy, go, lady,
you just a lie. And he got a hammer that
had had me hooked on him for fourteen years. This
(01:00:13):
ain't a letter about him being gorgeous or you want
to see it. This a letter about you being whipped.
The stuff you doing is crazy. In this letter, he
showed it to you. My first day of work, he
told me I was gonna be his wife, and he
showed me what the reward would be for marrying him.
It was the most beautiful thing I had ever seen.
(01:00:34):
To this very day, you ain't seen nothing. You was
in college.
Speaker 5 (01:00:40):
You ain't got nothing to compare to. He ain't the
most exquisite. He ain't the most beautiful. Open your eyes.
Speaker 3 (01:00:48):
Looking around that little pot belly love handle man you got,
and you thinking he exquisite? Girl stopped. I want to
see it every time I'm in his presence, whether we
be an intimate or not.
Speaker 5 (01:01:02):
Who want to do that much every day? Ay? And
let me see here?
Speaker 2 (01:01:09):
Cool?
Speaker 4 (01:01:10):
Now?
Speaker 1 (01:01:11):
All right?
Speaker 10 (01:01:12):
All right, hang on, Steve.
Speaker 6 (01:01:13):
We'll have part two of your response coming up at
twenty three minutes after the hour. The subject is I
want to see it every time. We'll get back into
it right after this. You're listening to Steve Harvey Morning Show.

Speaker 6 (01:02:18):
All right, come on, Steve, Let's recap the strawberry letter
for today, and the subject is.
Speaker 10 (01:02:23):
I want to see it every time.
Speaker 3 (01:02:25):
Well, thirty five year old woman lied to us, told
us she thinks all bodies is beautiful.
Speaker 5 (01:02:35):
We all know that ain't. But her husband don't exquiszy girl.
Speaker 3 (01:02:44):
You got curly chest hair, he got a little good
he got love handles. Who are you describing me her
man husband? Hell sounded like you, Yeah, Steve, Anthony Brown, tash.
Speaker 15 (01:03:10):
Ain't what what what?
Speaker 4 (01:03:12):
Anyway?
Speaker 5 (01:03:12):
Anyway, that card.
Speaker 3 (01:03:13):
Ain't never game work, said Tosh was exquisite. Mauj ain't
ever called in there. All the articles we'd have done
is saying my husband is exquisite, and yours ain't either.
He told me I was gonna be his wife, and
he showed me what my reward gonna be from the verse,
and it was the most beautiful thing I've ever seen.
(01:03:34):
You ain't seen nothing you was in college. You ain't
got nothing to compare to but old big hammer right
there now. You want to see it every time you
in this presence, the hammer, even if we not being intimate.
He thinks I got a problem. But I don't see
how love and it from head to toe can be
a problem. It ain't the love that he's sick of.
(01:03:56):
It ain't the love. It's the obsession with it. It's
the obsession with won't less see it? I put my
pants on already? What man sitting up in the hill?
He used to send me photos while I was working,
(01:04:17):
but he said that got old and I should be
past that stage by math in fourteen years. You just
saw it last night. What if I'm sending a picture
of it for I don't say anything to him? If
he want to fall asleep with his hand on my breast,
fall asleep, which it's called cuddling, spooning.
Speaker 5 (01:04:39):
Y'all supposed to like that. Now you won't equate that
to let me see it? Well, yeah, what you're doing?
Speaker 9 (01:04:46):
Yeah?
Speaker 2 (01:04:47):
Yeah?
Speaker 3 (01:04:47):
Hey hey hey, hey, hey, we're in this car. We finish,
go in Walmart. Let me see it. Wait, hey, hey,
before we go into service here, Yeah, let me see it.
(01:05:07):
He says it's being freaky and all that's gonna get
him in trouble one day, All this sexting on the job.
I don't understand what the big deal is.
Speaker 5 (01:05:18):
What is mine?
Speaker 2 (01:05:19):
What is his?
Speaker 5 (01:05:20):
Is mine? And vice versus. My boobs are his to do.
Speaker 3 (01:05:22):
As he pleases. Yeah, but it's got to be some
type of prioritization here. Yeah, it's got to be some
type of order. So why is he putting restrictions on
what I do with his body because it's his body,
just like you can put restrictions on what he do
with your body because it's your body.
Speaker 5 (01:05:42):
He don't want to show it to you all the time.
I don't want to see myself all the time. Hell,
I got to go to work. I've got stuff to do.
Speaker 3 (01:06:01):
He comes home and he showering with the door lock,
so I can't sit in the bathroom talk to him.
I won't talk to you while I'm in the bathroom. No,
we ain there trying to shower. You put the lid
down there. You're just running your father.
Speaker 4 (01:06:13):
You know what.
Speaker 8 (01:06:14):
He tied to you.
Speaker 5 (01:06:17):
You too much.
Speaker 3 (01:06:19):
This is an obsession you have, and the obsession has
gotten to be too obsessive.
Speaker 5 (01:06:27):
You are too much. It's nothing to it no more.
It ain't even you no more. He just tied to you.
Speaker 3 (01:06:36):
But I think it's a little more to it than that.
Could he be showing it to somebody else? See, lady,
your problem is you think allbodies are beautiful, and you
problem you think everybody think. You think you think allbodies
are beautiful, and you think everybody think like you. And
that's not the case. This does not say he's showing
(01:06:56):
it to somebody else. He just tied is showing it
to you. Old he's sick of you, and you're gonna
run your man off with this. You gotta start prioritizing this.
You gotta, you gotta it can't be that exciting every day.

I'm talking to you like you ain't sitting there. Well
it ain't there, Dave. But the thing that I'm talking
about is gone.
Speaker 1 (01:09:59):
Okay, your hairline.
Speaker 7 (01:10:01):
Okay, you said you have a barbershop chart, like you
go in the barber shopping because let me get the number.
Speaker 3 (01:10:08):
Like junior, Junior, your hair the way it is right now,
you can't go in there and pick numbers off the
chart no more they have like you had like one
through teen. One through fifteen had different looks and cuts
that you can get. You're not up there no more.
You don't have enough half none of them cuts. So
what I had to do was not to being the man.
Speaker 2 (01:10:27):
That I have to do.
Speaker 5 (01:10:29):
You have to do this because Junior not the only one.
Speaker 3 (01:10:33):

You've got the top view of his head.
Speaker 3 (01:10:41):
You know, ain't nothing. Now he started talking about take
a little bit off here, a little bit. It's gone done.
Speaker 8 (01:10:49):
So what the chart look like now?
Speaker 12 (01:10:51):

Speaker 8 (01:10:51):
What my chart looks like for people like this?
Speaker 5 (01:10:53):
This is what this is. It's called the tv land
hair chart.
Speaker 3 (01:10:58):
And what you for it, It's called the tv Land
hair charge because all these cuts is from your favorite
characters that's on tv Land. Tv landes like you can
grow back. Yeah, see you can get the Booker, you
can get the Booker haircut. You can get to James Evan.
(01:11:19):
See you can get to James Evan, you know kind
of like got the little horse shoe in it, you know,
you know, and then you ain't got to go in
there talking about cut around my horseshoe and try to
make it not look like that. You can go in
there with dignity now and go. I want to Booker,
I want to, I want I want to Lenny got
plenty cut.
Speaker 5 (01:11:38):

The most popular cut owner is the KOJAC.
Speaker 10 (01:12:11):
You're listening to the Steve Harvey Morning Show TJ on
Steve Harvey FM.
Speaker 6 (01:12:20):
Rights I'm in charge of the bachelor party, which should
be exciting, but I'm starting to feel like I'm in
a cross between a courtroom cross examination and a criminal interrogation.
Once my best friend's bride learned I was in charge
of organizing the party, it's been NonStop questions, confrontations, and
(01:12:40):
demands to see the quote list of activities and guests
I have planned from the bride to be. She's even
asked to track my phone. I'm like, you have lost
your mind. I want to be there for my dog,
but this is crazy and I'm genuinely worried that this
is going to end up bad for him in the
long run.
Speaker 3 (01:13:00):
Personally, you ain't gonna let her track your phone. Right,
you do not have a guest list and there are
no activities.
Speaker 10 (01:13:08):
Okay, that's what you tell her.
Speaker 5 (01:13:10):
Okay, Yeah, we're going to JENNI.

able to come out their cake.
Speaker 2 (01:13:31):

of that.

Speaker 8 (01:14:28):
She was mad?
Speaker 3 (01:14:30):

how to handle it. Oh, but he was just It

Speaker 1 (01:21:45):
Terrible in bed? You would rather be terrible in bed?
Speaker 7 (01:21:48):
Yeah, I've been a great kiss it didn't get to
a bed, So you rather be terrible and.
Speaker 8 (01:21:56):
Say it happened? Clothes off? So go ahead on mytail.
Speaker 7 (01:22:04):
Wow, you have to kiss me at all? I don't

Harvey right after this.
Speaker 3 (01:22:39):
That your man said to be entertainer and you're listening
to the Steve Harvey Morning Show.
Speaker 6 (01:22:44):
That my doubt you're listening to the Steve Harvey Morning Show.
An education is a transformation every day.
Speaker 12 (01:22:54):
The third Good Marshall College Fund transforms lives through scholarships
and career advancement opportunities. Over a half a billion dollars
has already gone back to students who needed most. We
also connect companies with exceptional HBCU talent through workforce development initiatives.
I am a proud HBCU graduate, and my education helped
(01:23:15):
me reach my fullest potential. I'm continuing that tradition with
my daughter, who will be attending in HBCU this fall.
Generational excellence continues. TMCF is America's largest organization that exclusively
represents the HBCU community.
Speaker 1 (01:23:32):
Join us in being part of the transformation.
Speaker 12 (01:23:35):
Applied, donate or partner with us today at TMCF dot org.
Speaker 6 (01:23:40):
Wow, sir, last brick of the day time was fast today.
Thank you guys for listening. We appreciate you as always. Junior,
you got a question for.
Speaker 10 (01:23:50):
The man Steve Harvey, I got one, and.
Speaker 7 (01:23:53):
I want to talk to us about this, about the
all out effort you give to be successful, honkeeting you
about how hard it is to be successful.
Speaker 10 (01:24:02):
But the effort, the effort.
Speaker 3 (01:24:04):
Though, well that I mean that could never be underplayed. Listen, folks,
if you have any aspirations to become even better than
who you are now, I don't care how simple your
aspiration is. With every aspiration, there will be opposition to
(01:24:26):
that aspiration because you have to remember something about the devil.
The devil got one job, and that is to rob
you of your destiny. The devil don't want you to
be what God created you to be. And the devil
is serious about that. He is committed to that. Now,
an incredible thing is he's not alone. The devil has workers.
(01:24:52):
They're called imps. He has imps that's on patrol and
on duty twenty four to seven. And you're so them,
and some of them you don't even know. And some
of them you know very very well. But they are imps.
And it's sad to say, but they work for the devil.
They're just bad people. They're just not kind, they're not considerate,
(01:25:16):
they're means, they're negative, and you get to feel it
whenever you make the decision to want more, be more,
be better, get better, become successful, climb the corporate letter,
open a business, follow your dreams. Whatever you choose, that's
em betterment of yourself, that will head you in the
(01:25:37):
direction that God created you to be. Here they come, here,
they come. Now, I'll admit one thing. When they first come,
it throws you off a bit because you wasn't ready
for it. How many times have you been surprised by
the actions of somebody you thought you was cool with,
You actually thought you and them were all right until
(01:25:58):
the moment you made the decision to become better. Then
all of a sudden, here comes the little you know
what you're doing. It don't seem like you ought to
do that, because it's I just don't see that. Wait, man, man,
what I thought we was all right? Or you here
come to you with something somebody told them about you,
(01:26:20):
and instead of coming to you to learn the truth.
They just went with the story and believed the narrative.
And now all of a sudden, they're acting funny around
you because they heard a story about you that had
affected the way they feel, which, in truth, was how
they felt the whole time anyway. Or how about that
family member, well you you last expected to be your family.
They want to undercut you, talk behind your back, got
(01:26:43):
something to say. All of a sudden, you're the subject
of the group chat in the family. All of a sudden,
you was the conversation on the phone. All of a sudden,
you sitting under the tree at the family unit over
there by yourself, and they are all in the group
looking at you. You don't even know where that came from.
Well it came from him. The devil knows. Are his workers,
(01:27:07):
and they busy. And you know why they're busy because
they got time. And you know where they got time.
You know why they got time because they ain't working
on their self. See, when you're working on yourself, you busy.
Speaker 5 (01:27:18):
Think about that. When you are working on yourself.
Speaker 3 (01:27:21):
Trying to get it right, trying to make it you busy, man,
You have very little time for somebody else, For they
mess or anything. You really don't have time to help
too many people because you're trying to get there yourself.
Hard to climb somebody, excuse me, it's hard to climb
the letter with somebody that then climbed on your back.
(01:27:44):
Try to climb a letter with somebody that then climbed
on your back. Now, and you got to understand why
they're on your back? Why because they manipulating you. That's crazy.
Hey man, You know what manipulation is when you have
made a dec not to agree with something that somebody
(01:28:04):
decided to do that was not for the betterment of you,
and you decided not to do it. Now here comes
some manipulation here they want to Now all of a sudden,
they wait a minute, So you not gonna help me? Well,
they don't care that it's not to the betterment of you.
They don't care the fact that you are helping them.
(01:28:26):
W's gonna put them behind the eight Paul, Do you
know there's people in your life that require you to
help them no matter how much it hurts you? Do
you know some people in your life that ain't got
no problem asking you for your last I mean, and
then getting mad at you because you don't want to
put yourself in your family in the position that they
(01:28:47):
in right now having to come and borrow something from somebody. See,
I'm not jeopardize it my family and their safety and
security to give you some that you ain't work for
in the beginning, Because the thing I've learned about security,
security is only that which you can provide for yourself.
If you can't provide it for yourself, then it ain't
(01:29:08):
no security.
Speaker 5 (01:29:09):
Brother soul.
Speaker 3 (01:29:14):
Yeah, the effort that's required for success is massive, and
it's massive because of the devil. And now that I've
told you, he's busy. Twenty four seven, Get your eyes open,
Go to God. Ask God to reveal to you. Ask
(01:29:34):
God to remove people from your circle that don't need
to be that. Ask God to reveal to you those
around you that don't mean you good but harm. He'll
help you see them now. When you see them, now
make the move and cut them loose or let them
climb on your back, and you try to make it
up to heal with all them on your back.
Speaker 5 (01:29:54):
Y'all, have a great day to day. Talk to God.
He would absolutely love to hear from you. Holler at you.
