think you would do really well playing?

Speaker 4 (00:43):
Hi, Toby had Chili. It's Gary here in DC. You
know I have to chime in on this question. Be
in the game show? Kind of sore that I am.
The games that I would probably excel in would be pressure, luck,
password or Wheel of Fortune.

What was yours? Again?

Speaker 2 (01:02):
It was trivial Pursuits?

one LeVar Burton back in the day.

to a good headspace as you start the day.

Speaker 2 (04:22):
Lisa Nichols says, stop asking for a sign, Start becoming
one that's poignant. Stop asking for a sign, start becoming one. See.
I think what Lisa Nichols is trying to say to
us is to be the example on the motivation and
the moment, because you might just be that sign for someone,

(04:46):
So stop asking for a sign and start becoming one.
Lisa Nichols. Wow, powerful morning mindset for this Tuesday, the
thirteenth day of January. If you need it again, you'll
find it. Toby and chillipageachefm dot com. Check out our instance.
It's probably floating around over there someplace. And if you've
got something that's inspired, you share it with Chili and
I because we always love hearing from you. Waschefm dot com.

(05:09):
Check out the Toby and Chili page. All right, and
stay with us because coming up in just a few
minutes here at ninety seven point one WASHFM.

Speaker 3 (05:15):
It is Girl Scout Cookie season. Yes, and we found
uh well, I don't know if it's a really accurate analysis,
but what your favorite Girl Scout cookies say is about
your personality.

Speaker 2 (05:26):
Can't wait to dive into this. I'll embrace the gluttoness
of the Girl Scout Cookie season. Hang on more a minute.
It's the most wonderful time of the year. No, it's
not a Christmas song. It's ninety seven point one WASHFM.
It's Toby and Chilly in the morning, and I'm talking
about Girl Scout Cookie season is upon us. Oh no,
the temptation. It's the most wonderful time of the year.

(05:50):
You stop by, you see the girl scouts. They've got
all their cookies. You buy one of everything? Oh you do?

Speaker 3 (05:55):
I don't. I only buy the one I like, which
just the one, just the one.

Speaker 2 (06:00):
I go in with the intention of getting just one,
but then I end up saying, well, I think I'll
also get.

Speaker 3 (06:05):
Well what you get also could say a lot about
your personality, so like, for mine, my favorite is the samoas.
And apparently people who like the samoas are fun, quirky, adventurous,
and a bit chaotic. I don't know about the chaotic part,
but all the other stuff.

Speaker 2 (06:20):
Julia chaotic, No, that's my job. That's exactly right. Are
crazy on a daily basis? It does? And what's your favorite?
It used to be like, you know, the peanut butter tagalongs, right,
you know, which says that I would be very artistic,
driven and layered in personality, which is about right. However,
they came with these s'mores.

Speaker 3 (06:41):
That was it? Was it last year or the year
before the s'mores came about? I can't it's fairly new.

Speaker 2 (06:45):
They are fairly in the last three years. I know
for sure.

Speaker 3 (06:48):
So what's the personality type for the youth?

Speaker 2 (06:50):
More sweet? And I enjoy simple pleasures in the outdoors, true,
although it's been a minute since I've been outside, oh gosh,
and done some clamping. And by the way, they have
a new cookie this year too, which you might see parts.

Speaker 3 (07:04):
What's it called again, explore moores? Oh yeah, I think
that's what they're called. They try to come up with
a new one every year, and I think it's kind
of funny how they try to attach some sort of
a personality type to each of these. I think if
anyone is buying girls Scout cookies, one thing you all
have in common. You're very supportive of a great cause
an organization I should say, yeah.

Speaker 2 (07:25):
Powering organizations. So you start them young and they remember
when they get older, and next thing you know, they're
in Congress.

Speaker 3 (07:31):
Well, we'll actually put the breakdown of the cookie personalities
on the Toby and Chili page at washfm dot com
if you want to check it out, yep.

Speaker 2 (07:39):

Speaker 3 (08:37):
The President announced a twenty five percent tariff on any
country that does business with Iran, saying that it will
apply to all trade with the US. The move comes
amid violent anti government protests over Iran's economic crisis. As
a president is also reportedly reviewing military options if the

against the Department of Homeland Security challenging the deployment of
extra ice agents to Minneapolis following a deadly shooting. They
argue the operation is unlawful, disruptive, and has also sparked
ongoing protests. Alexandria police are rolling out new hate crime

is a tracking device coming handy for you? Has it
saved you? What was it about that tracking device that
really gave you some peace of mind? Eight six, six

Talkbacks wide open too. If you're signed into your iHeart

Samsung has a tag. Tracking devices they're all the rage
these days because they help you keep track of everything dogs,

(11:09):
your wallet, your purse, your car, maybe even your kid.
It's ninety seven point one watch f M, Toby and
Chilly in the morning. But check out this story that
involves a tracking device.

Speaker 3 (11:20):
So I don't know if you saw this last week.
It was in the news where a wife was able
to save her husband's life because she knew he was
in a motorcycle accident. I guess he's got this crash
detection device that alerts her to his location, and she
was able to get to where he was. He'd flown
over a fence, and who knows if anybody would have
ever seen him, you know, or known about it, had

(11:43):
she not been alerted.

Speaker 2 (11:44):
I mean, when you think about it, there's a lot
of good stuff that comes from tracking devices. At least
once a week of tracking device helps me find something
I've misplaced, mostly my wallet.

Speaker 3 (11:55):
Oh yeah, that's right, you've got one of those things
in your wallet.

Speaker 2 (11:57):
Yep, it's like a credit card. I got a new
one I too. I already got it from Santa Claus,
but it's it's still on order, so it hasn't arrived yet.
What about you. Would you put a tracking device on Donado.

Speaker 3 (12:08):
My son when he's older, Yes? Really, yeah, especially since
he doesn't really have a cell phone or anything like that,
if he was ever having to be somewhere by himself,
I totally would, just to make sure that he's safe
and where he's supposed to be.

Speaker 2 (12:21):
And do you and your husband, like, do the whole
follow each other? On the maps, thing like drop a
pin as to where your location is. Yeah, so that helps.

Speaker 3 (12:29):
When I am trying to make sure that I get
everything timed, you know, dinner on the table and stuff
like if you're driving home, but not so much because
now he works from home.

Speaker 2 (12:37):
Yeah, tracking device is How have they helped you out?
Are you a fan? Yes? No thoughts? Phones wide open
at eight sixty six nineteen seven forty three sixty one.
Talkback is too, so you can tap speak and send
and tell us a quick story about how tracking device
has saved you or come in handy for you, or
maybe how they haven't. Either way, we're listening and we'll

(13:00):
talk about this again coming up with Toby and Chilly
in the morning on ninety seven point one wash FM.
We're talking about tracking devices this morning here at ninety
seven point one WASHFM. How have they come in handy
for you? And it's based on this story. A woman
I guess found her husband who had a terrible accident.

Speaker 3 (13:19):
Yeah, he'd have been in a motorcycle accident, and the
crash detection device alerted her to his location, so she
was able to get to him before anything worse happened.

Speaker 2 (13:29):
Now have tracking devices ever come through in a pinch
for you kind of like that or maybe not that
extreme eight sixty six nine two seven forty three sixty one,
or maybe you're not a fan of these tracking devices.
Either way, it's got to make for a good story,
one that we need to hear with Toby and Chilly
in the morning on ninety seven point one Wash FM,
and we'll start with you, Randy, Good morning in Owings Mills.

(13:50):
Thanks for listening to us so which got always knowing
where my kids are is a huge load off my mind.
They each have an air tag on him at all times.
You know you can't be too careful these days.

Speaker 3 (14:01):
You make a really good point, Randy. And as I
said earlier, once my son gets a little bit older
and doing more independent things, you better believe we're gonna
be tracking his moves.

Speaker 2 (14:10):
That's your key chain, do not Oh that's right. You
keep that on you at all times, don't lose it.
Thanks for jumping in this morning. Eight six six nine
two seven forty three sixty one. Katrina, Good morning in Arlington.

Speaker 6 (14:22):
I put an aircag on my dog's collar as a
just in case, and then two weeks later he slipped
out during a thunderstorm, and instead of panicking, I just
watched him on my phone sitting at my neighbor's backyard
like he paid rent there.

Speaker 3 (14:35):
Well, that must have been a relief at least it
was in a neighbor's house.

Speaker 2 (14:39):
Thank you for jumping in this morning, Katrina. Hey, Chili,
does Bella have like a tracker tag?

Speaker 3 (14:45):
No, she does have a chip in her ear. Oh right,
And if she was a type of dog that love
to escape every time the door is open, I would
totally get a tracker.

Speaker 2 (14:53):
Would sober Maxwell was alive? Yeah, he wasn't that dog
that wanted to do escape. But Nova Luna is hell
And so she's got the tracker chip. And you know what,
now I'm thinking I need to go to the Apple store.
You get a GPS device? Yea, absolutely, because she will
let me gone in an instant. She's she's that dog anyway.

(15:16):
Toby at Chilly in the morning, talking about shocking devices.
If you've got one, has it come through for you?
Has it been handy? If not, we'd love to hear
that too. Tap the talk back microphone. You can always
get involved by leaving us a quick voice. Now it

we want to hear your story at eight sixty six

tap the talk back microphone. It's wide open if you're
signed in listening on your iHeart app this morning, Chili,
you've been thinking about a breakup?

Speaker 3 (21:11):
Yeah, my nail salon. There are so many of them,
so the competition is pretty decent out there, and the
one I go to the most I go get petticures,
I don't know, every month and a half or so,
and I stop getting manicures about two years ago. I
just do it myself. Sure, I'm over the whole trying
to make me feel guilty for not going back to

(21:32):
them for the manicure part of the service. I'm like, listen,
I'm not going to start doing that again. Stop asking me.

Speaker 6 (21:39):
Now.

Speaker 2 (21:40):
Do they guilt you? Have they said something to you
or is it something that's unspoken but you have it
in your mind, because you know, the mind can do
crazy things like that.

Speaker 3 (21:50):
So they've actually spoken and saying, hey, why don't you
start getting manicures again? And then also there are the
kind of like this passive aggressive like ooh, I know,
we can make your nails look nice too, even though
I do the press on thing. They're trying to, you know,
make me feel bad that I'm buying the nails online
and gluing them on. And I'm like, listen, until you

(22:12):
guys stop charging so much. This is the way it's
going to go.

Speaker 2 (22:15):
They stir in the guilt. Potta Jumbalaya, big turn off.
Have you ever broken with a broken up?

Speaker 3 (22:20):
Yeah?

Speaker 2 (22:20):
Profession with with therapists, both myself and my daughter. And
the bottom line is, Look, they're not bad therapists. They're
great and they've been very helpful. But the problem is
the bottom line, and the bottom line is is that
they are not covered by our insurance. And money does
not grow on trees. Yes, and you know, their costs

(22:42):
keep going up and what I can put in for
for going to add a network doesn't.

Speaker 3 (22:47):
Yeah, that's true, and so that's a good reason.

Speaker 2 (22:49):
It was. It was getting to be out of hand
and got to do what you gotta do. What about you?
You've had a professional breakup? Hod you dump? And why?
