dad came without my mom to take care of me.

(00:26):
And while I've been recovering from a third knee surgery
that I found out just before Christmas, I had to
have long story. But he's flying back today and I'm
a little melancholy. He's flying back to Corpus Christi, Texas,

and I think he just wanted to see that I
was going to be able to get the boat off
the dock, and you know, here I am. So you know,

(00:48):
I'm just thankful, you know this morning that family is
a thing. And I'm jealous of you because you live
literally next door to your family because you're all in
the area.

Of I'm gonna guess coffee.

Speaker 3 (19:56):
Are you part of the coffee addict club like we are?

Speaker 4 (20:01):
I mean, I don't know if I'm an addict, but
I definitely do.

Speaker 6 (20:04):
Drink it daily.

Speaker 2 (20:05):
Yep. That doesn't make you an addict. That just makes
you a connoisseur. That's right, right, exactly, And if anybody
says otherwise, you just just give them that glare you have.

Speaker 3 (20:17):
Exactly. That is a great guess. It's also the correct answer. Congratulations, awesome,
Thank you to that so much.

Speaker 6 (21:00):

Speaker 2 (21:00):
Thank you? And hey, Chili, did you learn anything very
interesting about a family member, something surprising over the holidays?

Speaker 3 (21:07):
No?

Speaker 2 (21:07):
Not, I huh. I noticed something that made me go
wow about my dad, who's been in town for the
last few days. I'll share this with you coming up
in a few minutes, and I would love to hear
if maybe you might have learned something surprising about a
family member. Let's get into it coming up with Toby
and Chili in the morning. Can I tell you I

(21:27):
learned something pretty surprising over the holidays, Chilli, Toby and
Chilly in the morning. It's ninety seven point one wash FM.
I didn't spend all of the holidays in the hospital.
I did get to come home and my dad came
up from South Texas to be there to help me.

Speaker 3 (21:40):
Out, you know, right after your knee surgery.

Speaker 2 (21:42):
Yeah, and trust me, you need that help and you
realize it when you know you can't get around and
do things for yourself. Get up, go to the kitchen.
You know what I learned through all of this that
my dad is actually a really good cook.

Speaker 3 (21:55):
Now, why wouldn't you have known it before this?

Speaker 2 (21:58):
I maybe didn't pay attention. I apologize to my mom
and dad for a life that I've lived where maybe
I didn't pay attention to little things like this. And
no offense, mom, But my dad made cornbread and chili
one night. The other night we were watching football and
we had a cauliflower pizza. He handled all of it.
I have not made one thing for myself since he's

(22:20):
been here.

Speaker 3 (22:20):
Why would your mom be offended? Why'd you say.

Speaker 2 (22:22):
That because my mom's chili is not as good as
my dad?

Speaker 3 (22:25):
Well? Well, well, all right, see now, I think part
of the reason you may not have known that your
dad was so great in the kitchen, and I'm just
making an assumption here, is because your mom probably handled
a lot of that herself, and true didn't really give
him the opportunity necessarily to take the lead in the kitchen.

Speaker 2 (22:41):
It's her kitchen. Look, if you're going to.

Speaker 3 (22:43):
Learn anything surprising about a family member, it's good that
you learn something positive about a family member, because I
don't know that that's always the case.

Speaker 2 (22:51):
So what did you learn about your family over the holidays?
Eight sixty six nine two seven forty three sixty you
want to tap that talk back microphone, Let's talk about it.

I found out my aunt and uncle almost got divorced
a few years ago and like lived apart, and none
of us knew and no one ever mentioned it, which
I thought was so weird. Everybody acted like that was
so normal, and that was so bizarre to me.

Speaker 3 (26:57):
I can see why that could have been shocking, but
the fact that they didn't go through with it maybe
that's why they didn't want to bring it up.

Speaker 2 (27:03):
Stephanie and silver Spring, good morning. What did you learn
over the holidays about a family member which kind of
shocked you?

Speaker 4 (27:10):
I actually learned over the holidays that my grandpa's family
used to own land in Galway, during the nineteen twenties,
during the conflicts. So I thought that was pretty interesting.

Well then based on your family tree, doesn't that make
you a.

Speaker 3 (28:11):
Yeah, so her songs Sugar Talking and Tears tied for
the most annoying songs of twenty twenty five.

Speaker 2 (28:18):
How do you figure that the most annoying?

Speaker 3 (28:20):
They based it on science and how repetitive it is.

Speaker 2 (28:24):
Huh science repetitive? Well, here's a song that is not annoying.
