Speaker 1 (00:00):
Toby and Chili mornings on demand on 97.1 Wash FM.
Speaker 2 (00:05):
And welcome to Thursday morning. It's 97.1 Wash FM. Toby
and Chili in the morning at 866-927-4361. Grab that phone,
call us, and tell us why you're feeling good this
early morning. And if you're not feeling good this early morning, well, pretend.
And maybe it'll become a reality when you, you know,
you manifest it. Why not? I don't know about you, Chili.
(00:29):
But I'm sure there's some manifestation of good going on
someplace in your world. Why are you feeling good this morning?
Speaker 3 (00:35):
Our dog had suffered a herniated disc and she was
on several pain medications. And we've been weaning her off
per the doctor's orders. And it looks like she's handling
it well. So that's why I'm feeling good. That's how
simple I'm going to keep it.
Speaker 2 (00:48):
Look at that.
Speaker 4 (00:49):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (00:49):
No more pain meds.
Speaker 3 (00:51):
For now.
Speaker 2 (00:52):
I'm feeling good because last night my significant other called
and just said, hey. I love you. Good night. She's
on a work trip. There's nothing better than getting a
phone call from somebody who loves you, right, while they're traveling,
doing their things someplace else. And that is why I
am full of good feels this early morning. What about you?
(01:15):
Tap the talkback microphone. That works, too, if you're listening
this morning and you're signed in. And you've got us
on with your iHeart app. Feel free to spread some
joy because it is contagious. In the meantime, stay there
as we get things started today. Top stories at the
top of the hour coming up in just a few minutes. Chili,
what's going down?
Speaker 3 (01:33):
Metta is settling a landmark case over alleged harm to
kids on Facebook and Instagram. And I'm going to tell
you how much money Virginia, Maryland and D.C. are set
to get.
Speaker 5 (01:46):
Top stories, top of the hour.
Speaker 3 (01:48):
A massive flash flood in Nepal has killed over 160
people with hundreds more missing. Experts say a glacial collapse
triggered the disaster, sending water and mud through communities and
destroying roads and buildings. Meta is settling a landmark case
over alleged harm to kids on Facebook and Instagram. In
(02:10):
that settlement, Virginia... will get at least $ 353 million. D.C.
could get up to $ 129 million. And Maryland is also
part of that deal. Now, Meta must also make some
major changes to protect young users. A federal judge is
lifting a nationwide block on the president's mail voting order,
(02:30):
clearing a major legal hurdle. Now, the order would require
voter eligibility lists and new rules for mail ballots, but
more lawsuits are expected. A man allegedly linked to multiple
Fairfax County burglaries is now behind bars. Police say a
tip during national night out led to the arrest of
31-year-old Junior Gonzalez Coelho. Officers found an AR-15-style rifle and
(02:55):
a stolen gun. Maryland's State Board of Education is hitting
pause on a plan to require 60 minutes of daily
math instruction in kindergarten through eighth grade, pushing the deadline
now to fall of 2028 after educators warned that could
really crowd out the arts programs. And Tim Curry, the
eccentric British actor who captivated audiences playing Dr. Frankenfurter in
(03:20):
the Rocky Horror Picture Show and also Pennywise in the
TV miniseries of Stephen King's It, died yesterday at his
home in L.A. He was 80. Forecast today, we'll have
partly cloudy skies with scattered storms. This evening, highs in
the upper 80s. Right now, 72 in Nokesville.
Speaker 2 (03:38):
And that is the news. Don't forget, you get your
top stories at the top of the hour with 97.1
Wash FM. Till we get chilly in the morning. And next,
we take a few to talk about you and how
you're doing this early morning. You might need it, your
morning mindset. Let it inspire you, or maybe let it
inspire somebody you know who needs it. That is just
(04:00):
minutes from now. 97.1 Wash FM, Toby and Tilly in
the morning, and it's time now for us to pause
and talk about how you're doing today.
Speaker 3 (04:10):
It's called Our Morning Mindset. Toby finds the quote, shares
it with all of you to think about as you
take on the rest of the day for inspiration or
maybe even motivation.
Speaker 2 (04:18):
Margaret Fuller says to all of us this morning, if
you have knowledge... Let others light their candles in it. Okay,
that's deep. If you have knowledge, let others light their
candles in it. What exactly does this mean? Why does
this matter today? Well, I think it's because we spend
(04:39):
a lot of time trying to prove what it is
that we know, right? Maybe the better move is to
ask the question, who can use what I know? So
don't just be smart today, be useful. Someone else's light
might start with something that you already know. Margaret Fuller.
If you have knowledge, let others light their candles in it.
(05:02):
Keep that in mind as you take on today. It's
97.1 Wash FM with Toby and Tilly in the morning,
and that is your morning mindset. If you need it,
find us on the Toby and Tilly page at washfm.com.
It won't be very far from there. And stay right
there because in just a few minutes.
Speaker 3 (05:18):
Look, if you've got older siblings, I'm sure you've been
through this. But what is the worst? Hand me down.
You were forced to wear as a kid. We're talking
about it next. 866-927-4361.
Speaker 2 (05:33):
It's a rite of passage, these hand-me-downs, especially if you're
in a family where there's more than just one sibling.
It's 97.1 Wash FM. Toby and Chili in the morning.
Can you think of anything that you had handed down
to you as a kid that you just could not
stand wearing? You were forced to wear it as a kid.
(05:53):
What if it happened on the way to school for
the first day this week?
Speaker 3 (06:00):
To you that my son on his first day of
school wore a hand-me-down shirt from my brother-in-law because my
son is pretty big for his age, but that doesn't
mean it was a bad hand-me-down. You and I are fortunate.
We avoided that whole thing because we were the oldest siblings,
but you know, I don't know if you ever had
to get maybe a cousin's hand-me-down or another relative's hand-me-down
(06:22):
or did you really get away scot-free?
Speaker 6 (06:24):
I did.
Speaker 2 (06:24):
I got got away scot-free. I don't recall wearing anything
of my father's. I was not that size when I
was younger.
Speaker 3 (06:31):
Oh, gosh.
Speaker 2 (06:33):
And I wouldn't have wanted to look like I was
ripped out of the pages of 70s magazines, GQ and whatnot.
Speaker 3 (06:39):
Oh, that's funny. funny but you know it's a good
cost effective measure i mean it is expensive to buy
brand new clothes i will say i think if we
were to give a percentage if my son had younger
siblings or if my son had an older sibling i
would try to make 60 of his wardrobe brand new
and 40 hand-me-downs.
Speaker 2 (06:58):
I have three brothers they all probably hate me for
the hand-me-downs We're just going to have to leave it
at that. Hand-me-downs. Did you ever wear them as a kid?
866-927-4361 is the number. Caroline and Aldi, good morning.
Speaker 7 (07:15):
Do you remember the TLC music video where they had
on those really big baggy jeans?
Speaker 2 (07:21):
Yes, ma'am, I do.
Speaker 7 (07:22):
That's what it looked like when I got hand-me-downs from
my sister. I looked like T-Boz, Left Eye, and Chili,
literally standing there at the bus stop with these big
old pants on.
Speaker 3 (07:32):
Wait, those ladies were cool. What's wrong with that?
Speaker 7 (07:36):
I had to put a belt around and make sure
it was one that you could cinch real tight so
that way.
Speaker 6 (07:40):
It wouldn't come off.
Speaker 2 (07:41):
Ah, the joys of being a kid and growing up
and wearing hand-me-downs. Thanks for jumping in this morning. Coming
up after six, right around 610, top stories at the
top of the hour. That's the news. Chili, what you
working on?
Speaker 3 (07:54):
Virginia residents now have another option for carrying their ID.
I've got all the details on the way.
Speaker 2 (08:01):
Good morning to those of you going through the shift
change over at Washington Hospital Center, also at Children's National
and Nova Fairfax. Thanks for choosing Toby and Chili in
the morning. It's 97.1 Wash FM, where tomorrow afternoon.
Speaker 3 (08:14):
Right around 5 p.m., Sabrina Conti will kick off our
best of the 80s and 90s weekend.
Speaker 5 (08:21):

Speaker 1 (08:23):
An iHeartRadio station. Coming up on Top Stories, top of
the hour.
Speaker 3 (08:27):
A massive flash flood in Nepal has killed over 160 people.
We've got the latest on that story and others on
the way. With Toby and Chili in the morning on
97.1 Wash FM.
Speaker 5 (08:43):
Top stories, top of the hour.
Speaker 3 (08:45):
A powerful flash flood tore through northern Nepal yesterday. It
was triggered by an earthquake-caused landslide. Over 160 people are dead.
More than 400 tourists are missing, including at least 47 Americans.
Meta is settling a landmark federal case over alleged social
media addiction among children. The company is going to have
(09:08):
to pay up to $ 17 billion and also impose daily
limits and nighttime blocks for teens, along with stronger age verification.
A federal judge is clearing the way for the president's
executive order that targets mail-in voting to take effect nationwide.
The order calls for a list of confirmed U.S. citizens
(09:28):
that are eligible to vote and also uniform postal service
standards for mail-in voting. A Maryland judge is blocking a
proposed redistricting amendment from appearing on November's ballot. The measure
could have allowed Democrats to redraw congressional districts and also
potentially target Republican Congressman Andy Harris. Rebuilding Baltimore's Key Bridge
(09:52):
is hitting some major milestones. Crews have installed 80 of
90 massive steel piles for the new bridge, foundation, and
the project remains on track, according to officials, to open
by the end of 2030. Virginia residents now have another
option for carrying their ID. You can add your Virginia
(10:13):
driver's license or your state ID to Apple Wallet and
also use digital versions on your iPhone or Apple Watch.
And a new report finds that most Americans are sacrificing
joy just to make ends meet. 77% say they cut
back on things that make them happy, at least sometimes.
Forecast today, partly cloudy with scattered storm this evening. Highs
(10:36):
in the upper 80s. Right now, 72 in Germantown.
Speaker 2 (10:39):
And that is the news. Toby and Tilly in the morning.
Top stories at the top of the hour. It's 97.1
Wash FM.
Speaker 3 (10:45):
866-927-4361.
Speaker 2 (10:46):
In case you didn't notice it this week, Pumpkin Spice
Everything seems to be back. One coffee place starts the
chaos and then everything else becomes a pumpkin spice wonderland.
So what are some of the strangest things you've seen
with the pumpkin spice thing going on at this time
(11:10):
of the year? Tell us everything. Call us now and
we'll talk. Are you prepared for pumpkin spice everything? Tis
the season. 97.1 Wash FM. Toby and Chili in the morning.
Have thoughts on all of these pumpkin spice gimmicks. Call
866-927-4361 because we talking about it.
Speaker 3 (11:29):
This week, Starbucks launched their pumpkin spice latte. And I'm
sure so many people stopped by. But obviously, it doesn't
stop just at coffee. We've talked about this before. There's
some crazy things out there that people have turned into
pumpkin spice.
Speaker 2 (11:42):
Some of them are, I can't even believe we're talking
about some of them, but there is indeed pumpkin spice
toilet paper. I don't know who took the toilet paper
and put it in their mouth to taste said toilet paper.
Speaker 3 (11:53):
Well, I think it's just scented, okay? It's not for consumption.
Speaker 2 (11:56):
Well, I don't know that that's going to help too
much either. But it's very bizarre that the toilet paper
is in pumpkin spice flavor. Ditto macaroni and pumpkin spice
flavored macaroni and cheese.
Speaker 4 (12:08):
I know.
Speaker 3 (12:08):
There's so many different things. But I wonder if anyone
has actually been exposed to something kooky like that.
Speaker 2 (12:14):
866-927-4361 is the number. Chelsea and Bethesda, good morning. Pumpkin
spiced something. What were you exposed to and how did
you feel about it?
Speaker 6 (12:28):
Pumpkin spice body scrub. Like that's just so wrong on
so many levels. Who would put that all over their body?
I mean, that's just crazy.
Speaker 3 (12:36):
There are people who don't like the way pumpkin spice tastes,
but they don't mind the smell. So I can see
how a scrub could be popular.
Speaker 6 (12:44):
That is disgusting. There is no way I would cover
my body in pumpkin spice smelling stuff. I mean, that's
just wrong.
Speaker 2 (12:51):
Chelsea, microphone drop. You've made that abundantly clear in Bethesda
this morning. Thank you for jumping in.
Speaker 6 (12:58):
Wow.
Speaker 2 (12:58):
Crystal in Woodbridge.
Speaker 6 (13:00):
Pumpkin spice flavored cricket.
Speaker 3 (13:03):
What the? Where was this?
Speaker 4 (13:05):
I got a gift.
Speaker 3 (13:07):
Shop on vacation, and you know how they market the
weird snacks and stuff to the tourists?
Speaker 2 (13:15):
Sounds like they pulled you in.
Speaker 3 (13:16):
Did you try it?
Speaker 5 (13:17):
No, I can't get behind the idea of.
Speaker 6 (13:20):
Eating crickets in general, let alone pumpkin spice flavored ones.
Speaker 2 (13:24):
Yeah, I'll pass on the crickets the same way I
passed on the cicadas.
Speaker 1 (13:28):
Okay.
Speaker 2 (13:30):
I don't need no bugs. I don't care what spice
they have on them.
Speaker 3 (13:35):
Oh, man, that's great.
Speaker 2 (13:36):
Thank you for jumping in this morning there, Chelsea and Crystal.
It's 97.1 Wash FM. Stay right there because.
Speaker 3 (13:45):
Looks like a lot of couples are going through a
food divorce to save their marriage.
Speaker 2 (13:50):
What is a food divorce, you ask? Stay there. Have
you heard of this trend called a food divorce? It's
97.1 Wash FM. Toby and Chili in the morning, if
you haven't, check this out.
Speaker 3 (14:02):
So couples who can't agree when to eat dinner or
even what to eat for dinner or who's going to
be making dinner are deciding to do things separately. That
is a food divorce. Just like with a sleep divorce,
you sleep in different rooms for whatever reason. Now couples
are just not even eating together.
Speaker 2 (14:19):
Well, it's eliminating stress. I mean, sometimes having to decide
who's cooking what can be stressful. And then what if
you don't have the same food tastes as a significant
other or whomever you're dining with? I mean, that can
be stressful. It sounds to me like a food divorce
is actually not a bad thing.
Speaker 3 (14:38):
What they're doing instead, Toby, these couples are they're just
planning quality time to do something on weekends or something
like weekend brunches or date nights. A food divorce in
my marriage would be pretty detrimental because dinner time is
the only time my husband and I truly have to connect.
When we're sitting across the table from each other with
(14:59):
our son there, yes, but we're still having kind of
catching up on our day conversations. So if we weren't
having dinner together, Don and I... I don't know when
I get to connect with my husband.
Speaker 2 (15:07):
So do you have to remind him that it's time
for dinner? No, no, no.
Speaker 3 (15:12):
My husband is driven by food. He knows when I
make dinner, it's time.
Speaker 2 (15:15):
He's got him well trained.
Speaker 3 (15:17):
He's got me trained. Let's not get it twisted. He
knows when he wants to eat and I don't need
a hangry husband. So would this bother you if you
were living with your girlfriend or if you guys end
up getting married and you just decided to have a
food divorce?
Speaker 8 (15:32):
Hmm.
Speaker 2 (15:33):
If we planned on having dinner together, right, if we
planned on it and we didn't, that would be more
problematic than just say day by day trying to decide whatever.
I mean, does that make sense? Yeah, I get it.
Speaker 6 (15:49):
866-927-4361.
Speaker 2 (15:49):
A food divorce. Would it help you in your situation
or not so much? Would it be a big letdown?
Tell us your thoughts. We're always listening. It's 97.1 Wash FM.
Toby and Chili in the morning.
Speaker 3 (16:02):
And coming up right around 710, we've got Toby and
Chili's top stories. A new survey finds cash use is
fading fast. I've got all the details in just a few.
Speaker 2 (16:14):
If you love Chris Brown and Usher and you want
to see them at M & T Bank Stadium, thanks
to Live Nation, we got tickets and they could be
yours in minutes. 97.1 Wash FM. Toby and Chili in
the morning.
Speaker 3 (16:25):
Right around 7.10, we're going to play our nearly impossible
question after Toby and Chili's top stories. And if you
get the question right, you win.
Speaker 5 (16:32):
97.1 WASH FM, Washington.
Speaker 1 (16:36):
An iHeartRadio station. Coming up on Top Stories, top of
the hour.
Speaker 3 (16:40):
Meta is settling a landmark case over alleged harm to
kids on Facebook and Instagram. I've got all the details
on that story and others on the way. With Toby
and Chili in the morning, a 97.1 Wash FM.
Speaker 5 (16:57):
Top stories, top of the hour.
Speaker 3 (16:59):
At least 160 people are dead after a catastrophic flash
flooding hit the border of Nepal and Tibet, sweeping through
valleys and laying waste to villages. The number of missing
has now risen to nearly a thousand with dozens of
Americans among them. Meta is settling a landmark case over
alleged harm to kids on Facebook and Instagram. Virginia will
(17:19):
get at least $ 353 million. D.C. could get up to
$ 129 million. And Maryland is also part of the deal.
And Meta must also make major changes to protect young users.
The man accused of masterminding 9-11 will finally stand trial
in June of 2028. Khalid Sheikh Mohammed was captured back
(17:41):
in 2003 and has been held at Guantanamo since 2006.
Maryland State Board of Education is hitting pause on a
plan to require 60 minutes of daily math instruction in
kindergarten through eighth grade, pushing the deadline now to fall
of 2028 after educators warned that it could crowd out
arts programs. Washington Capitals fans will get 17 chances to
(18:04):
see the team on national TV this season, eight games
on TNT, four on ESPN, two on ABC, and the
rest streaming on ESPN +, Disney +, and Hulu. The
first national broadcast kicks off October 7th with the Caps
taking on the Penguins on TNT. And a new survey
finds that cash use is fading fast. 42% of adults
(18:27):
made zero cash purchases in a typical week this year.
Higher earners apparently are leading the shift while lower income
Americans are still leaning on cash the most. Forecast today,
partly cloudy with scattered storms this evening. Highs today in
the upper 80s. Right now, 73 in Chantilly.
Speaker 5 (18:49):
Toby and Chili's Nearly Impossible Question.
Speaker 2 (18:52):
I'll write the question.
Speaker 3 (18:53):
According to a survey, 25% of people have accidentally left
this behind at a hotel. What is it?
Speaker 9 (19:00):
866-927-4361.
Speaker 6 (19:00):
Call now.
Speaker 2 (19:00):
Get it right. Usher. Chris Brown. Emmett T. Bank Stadium, Baltimore.
You're going to go to the show with these free tickets.
If you answer your nearly impossible question correctly, here's that
question again.
Speaker 3 (19:16):
25% of people have accidentally left this behind at a hotel.
What is it?
Speaker 2 (19:23):
866-927-4361. Call now. Play and win.
Speaker 5 (19:28):
Toby and Chili's Nearly Impossible Question.
Speaker 2 (19:30):
Thursday morning, the question is.
Speaker 3 (19:33):
According to a survey, 25% of people have accidentally left
this at a hotel.
Speaker 2 (19:39):
What is it? 866-927-4361. Usher and Chris Brown tickets on
the line. The show at M & T Bank Stadium
coming up. Thanks to Live Nation, you could be there.
Brenda in Oxon Hill. Good morning to you.
Speaker 3 (19:54):
Good morning.
Speaker 2 (19:55):
Welcome. My name's Toby over there. That's Chili. Usher and
Chris Brown are coming to town. You got that question.
Fire away with your guests, please.
Speaker 5 (20:05):
I would say phone charger.
Speaker 8 (20:07):
Have you?
Speaker 3 (20:08):
Have you left a charger behind? Because, you know, when
you plug that in, it's easy to forget to pack
it back up again.
Speaker 5 (20:14):
Yes, I actually have.
Speaker 2 (20:15):
You know, a little known travel hack, if you forget
your charger at home, when you go to check into
a hotel, ask them at the front desk if you're
really nice and you give them a dollar or two, gratuity,
grease them a little bit, they'll give you a charger
for your phone because chances are good they got a
drawer full of them.
Speaker 3 (20:31):
Yeah, because people can't leaving him behind right i didn't
know about that.
Speaker 2 (20:34):
The more you know and knowing is half the.
Speaker 3 (20:36):
Battle brenda that's an excellent guess 25 of people have
accidentally left a phone charger at a hotel so that
means you win thank you so.
Speaker 2 (20:47):
Much usher chris brown m & t bank stadium baltimore
you're going who do you want to see most uh
chris brown Well, you go because you're going to see
them both. Enjoy the show. Don't leave your phone charger.
And I would stay in a hotel there overnight because
you know how it gets when Chris Brown and Usher
come to town. Things get a little freaky.
Speaker 3 (21:07):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (21:08):
Well, you enjoy the show. Congratulations on your win this
morning with 97.1 Wash FM. Thank you so much, you guys.
You're welcome so much, girlfriend. Hang on the line. And
if you want to go see Usher and Chris Brown
at M & T Bank Stadium, the R & B Tour,
we got your tickets tomorrow morning with another round of
your Nearly Impossible Question. Be here on Friday right after
(21:30):
Top Stories at the top of the hour to play
and win at 710. And next with 97.1 Wash FM.
Speaker 3 (21:35):
We've got a listener named Dave who says his mother-in-law
dropped a family secret bomb on him during the 4th
of July, and he's not sure what to do about it.
So we're going to see if we can help.
Speaker 2 (21:47):
Helping you take care of your problems is something that
we enjoy doing with you here at 97.1 Wash FM.
Toby and Chili, in the morning to Alexandria we go. Dave,
good morning. How are you, sir?
Speaker 3 (22:01):
Hey, I'm good.
Speaker 8 (22:02):
I could use some help, though.
Speaker 2 (22:03):
Uh-oh.
Speaker 3 (22:04):
You got some family drama happening?
Speaker 8 (22:06):
That's one way to put it. Yeah.
Speaker 2 (22:08):
Well, what is wrong?
Speaker 3 (22:09):
Spill that tea. It was over the 4th of July.
Speaker 8 (22:12):
Family get together and everything. Everybody's, we're having a few beers,
you know, knock them back a few. I mean, like
people start letting loose. Man, my, my mother-in-law at one
point took me aside and just dropped a bomb on me.
Speaker 3 (22:27):
Oh boy. What did mama say?
Speaker 8 (22:29):
She says to me, she says, you know, I got
to tell you that your wife.
Speaker 3 (22:32):
Her daughter, right?
Speaker 8 (22:33):
Isn't actually her daughter.
Speaker 2 (22:35):
How does that even happen.
Speaker 3 (22:37):
So your mother-in-law admits that your wife was actually adopted
so you.
Speaker 8 (22:41):
Gotta swear you're not gonna say anything and say anything
to your wife you know and so i'm like uh
this is crazy like i don't know how are you
gonna drop a bomb like that on me and then
just let me just leave.
Speaker 3 (22:54):
It you know so so what's your plan I mean,
I don't know.
Speaker 8 (22:56):
I've been I've been wrestling with this ever since. Like,
should I let my wife know that she told me this?
Speaker 6 (23:01):
You know, should I?
Speaker 8 (23:02):
Because I got all these questions, you know, like how
that what what even happened?
Speaker 6 (23:07):
Wow.
Speaker 3 (23:07):
I can see why you're torn. But my first reaction
to you is you got to tell your wife, man,
your loyalties to her, not the mother in law.
Speaker 2 (23:15):
That's a good point. And, you know, normally these things
are kind of kept sort of quiet and she didn't
even tell her daughter. I think, well, maybe you need
to encourage the mother-in-law to go talk to her daughter

Good old Dave in Alexandria called us a little bit ago.
He's been hanging on the line, by the way. You
just got the news, top stories at the top of
the hour with Toby and Chilling in the Morning. And
now we're going to help this man out with his problem.
His mother-in-law... Asked him to withhold a pretty serious thing
from his wife. Wait until you hear this. And wait
(27:28):
until you hear what it is that you think he
should do. And if you've got advice for him, 866-927-4361.
Circling back on our conversation with Dave from a little
bit ago, it's 97.1 Watch FM. Toby and Chilly in
the morning. He's from Alexandria and he's got a problem
with his mother-in-law.
Speaker 3 (27:49):
Over 4th of July, she had been drinking at a
party and revealed to Dave that his wife, her daughter,
was actually adopted.
Speaker 2 (27:57):
She asked him to keep it quiet.
Speaker 3 (27:58):
Yeah, because apparently his wife has no idea she's adopted. Drama?
Speaker 2 (28:03):
Yeah.
Speaker 1 (28:03):
Yeah.
Speaker 3 (28:04):
Know what to do about it should he honor the
secret or say something to his.
Speaker 2 (28:09):
Wife thoughts 866-927-4361 in reston good morning heidi what do you.
Speaker 9 (28:15):
Think honestly as the husband i would tell my wife
the truth and.
Speaker 3 (28:21):
What happens if you really upset the mother-in-law by spilling the.
Speaker 9 (28:24):
Secret whatever happens happens i know it may be a
little bit intimidating and scary considering the that you do
have this big secret that your mother-in-law just told you about,
but honesty is the best policy.
Speaker 2 (28:37):
Right, right, Heidi. Thank you so much for calling from Reston.
Now in Prince William County, Louie.
Speaker 4 (28:43):
Yeah, actually, I don't even know how this is a
question because you're married to your wife, right? Not whoever
that other lady was. It seems like a no-brainer. You
stay loyal to your wife.
Speaker 3 (28:54):
Yeah, so you're saying the intoxicated mother-in-law put him in
a very bad position.
Speaker 2 (29:00):
This makes me wonder about the mom-daughter drama that's going
on in that family.
Speaker 4 (29:04):
Yeah, yeah, it's incredibly shady. I would feel an obligation
to tell my wife immediately, hey, I'm sorry if there's fallout.
That's the consequence of keeping the truth from her.
Speaker 2 (29:15):
Excellent points, Louie.
Speaker 4 (29:16):
Good luck to that guy.
Speaker 2 (29:17):
Right on. Let's go back over here to Dave.
Speaker 5 (29:20):
Dave, Dave, Dave, Dave, Dave.
Speaker 3 (29:23):
What do you think you're going to do?
Speaker 8 (29:25):
I don't understand why her mother just unloaded on me. Like,
why'd she burden me with this, you know?
Speaker 2 (29:31):
I do. It's called Tito's.
Speaker 8 (29:34):
I don't know. It's just crazy, you know?
Speaker 3 (29:36):
I know it's tough, Dave, but Toby, me, Dave. and
our listeners all think you need to say something to
your wife about it, so good luck.
Speaker 2 (29:44):
Thanks.
