Well, listen, Gainesville is thecaller there. Good morning, Hello,
good morning, good barning. Youhave a crazy first date story for Chili
and I good are a bad landhonest? Please? My crazy first date
was ten years ago. I decidedto go the online dating route while I
was in grad school and living athome. I had been using e harmony

(00:20):
for about a year, and itwas bad date after bad date. I
usually had my excuses ready for whyI needed to jump ship, and my
dates never lasted more than forty fiveminutes. Fast forward to my crazy date.
We met at a really nice restaurant. We hit it off. We
were deep in conversation, and thenthe restaurant manager came over to me and
asked if I was Melissa. Itold her I was, and they said

(00:42):
there was a phone call for meat the host station. I was purplused
who would be calling me, andmy date joked that it was my rescue
phone call to right out of thedate, which wasn't far from the truth
done something like that before. Turnsout it was my parents calling because I
had been gone for so long, and then of my other dates had ever
lasted this long. Apparently, thefirst time they called her restaurant. They
after the girl who met my descriptionwas there, and the restaurant said no.

(01:03):
My parents told them they better checkagain before they called the police.
Now I had the short walk backto the table to figure out what I
was going to tell my date aboutwho was on the phone. I was
too embarrassed to say that my parentswere checking on me, so, being
the bad liar that I am,I told him that my dad slips on
the ice and fell, which hadhappened, but it was a few days
earlier. And of course, beingthe nice guy he was, he was

(01:26):
concerned and said, oh, youshould get home to help him, and
I said, oh, he'll befine. What's order dessert? And my
date gave me a very perplexed look. A few days later I revealed the
truth to him and he was saidhe was thinking at the time, man,
I hope I never fallow me nice. But now ten years later,
my date is now my husband, and we still joke about the story,

(01:49):
and in fact we told it atour wedding. When you got to the
phone with your parents after they called, what did you tell them everything is
going great, leave me alone? What did you say to them? I
think along those lines I've been Icall off the hounds. Everything's great.
Dude is a gentleman. It mightbe something. Don't ruin it for me,
now, I know. Right, obviously your date took it while you

(02:12):
revealed that now he is your husband, right, Yeah, I'm surprised I
got a second date after that one. Yeah. If you're less than honest
about Dad falling on the ice, what else will you be dishonest about?
You? But it doesn't matter becauseit seems we're dad. It seems it
all worked out in the end, though, So it looks like that little
white line may not have been thatbig of a deal after all. Right,

(02:34):
ninety sevent point one, Watch thatthem with Toby and Chilly in the morning.
