Speaker 1 (00:04):
Welcome on in as off the Edge the podcast and
me and your host Cam Jordan's and I'm officially jobless.
I'm in between contracts. I'm in between jobs. I don't know.
You know I still got you, you still got me
because we got off the Edge of the podcast. I'm
super excited to bring in who was a former teammate
of mine for a brief second. A guy who has

(00:25):
a Hall of Fame resume, A man who started off
with the Redskins, went to different Broncos, just to Saints
real quick. You know, a guy who had three first
team All Pro, shit for second team All Pro, twelve
Pro Bowls. It was an NFL interception leader, a corner
who spoke for himself. My god, Chimp.

Speaker 2 (00:46):
Bailey, Cam, are we doing legendary?

Speaker 1 (00:51):
I love I love bringing in former teammates.

Speaker 2 (00:53):
Even though it was it was a camp, it was brief.
It's all good though. I had a great time.

Speaker 1 (00:59):
That's what I'm saying. Like we were just talking about it,
like you brought a veteran presence that we needed. Yeah,
Like I don't. I don't get it. Sometimes all coaches
sees like, oh, we gotta get younger when you have
veterans that have proven themselves timing time out well Pro Bowl. Yeah,
but when even if, even if you never touched the field,

(01:20):
you would have helped the entire corner room. I would
have paid just for the wisdom. Yeah, and this still
would let you play because if you can't play corner, fine,
go play safety real quick. You were calling plays out
in preseason games and I was like, Oh, he's real.
Where you're going to win?

Speaker 3 (01:34):
Well, I'll tell you what, man, I was. I was
thirty six at the time. I was physically I had
I just couldn't keep going. I probably could have gave
you eight games, but.

Speaker 1 (01:48):
The eight games would have corrowed all our young guys.

Speaker 3 (01:50):
I'm with you, But if you're not a starter, you
know how it is. It's a numbers game. It's if
you're not a starter, you gotta play special teams, especially
at corner. And you know, damn well, I was not
playing special teams, so no, you don't.

Speaker 2 (02:03):
Yeah. So it was not at that point.

Speaker 3 (02:05):
But at the same time, man, you know I was
when I when I look back, I'm happy of the
way it turned out because it would have been hell
trying to get through that season. And I just I
don't know if I was up for it, no doubt.

Speaker 1 (02:20):
Look, I've seen some wild things in my time being
being in the lead for fifteen years. Twenty fourteen, we
in Virginia at training camp. You can roll through there
and I'm like, you know, Sean Payne, you say, what
does he say? We don't have to see it every day,
but you have to see it. And there was days
I saw it and I said, yeah, we got Champ Vailey.
And then it was somewhere in there preseason games going.

(02:44):
I saw you playing in the fourth preseason game and
I said, this is so damn disrespectful.

Speaker 2 (02:49):
Well if you remember to walk up. I didn't play
in a couple because I hurt my foot. Yeah, that thing,
and then you know how it is. They just need
to get you back out there. Oh yeah, he's healthy,
cut right now. So you know how it is. You
gets your tape and they you know, you.

Speaker 1 (03:08):
Don't know how it is. Well, you've seen guys go
through this.

Speaker 2 (03:12):
You've seen guys.

Speaker 1 (03:13):
Go through that.

Speaker 2 (03:14):
Like you know, they'll they'll let you go in a heartbeat.
You know, once they get you out there, they prove
you healthy.

Speaker 3 (03:19):
And I I almost feel like they had to dodge
that bullet, because if they kept me around.

Speaker 2 (03:23):
As an injured guy, you just never know what.

Speaker 1 (03:27):
They would have to pay me.

Speaker 3 (03:28):
So so it's it's one of those things. And my
shoulder hurts and Miselda, you know, I could have played
played that game, but you know, I think, yeah, I'm
glad to wear it worked out because he did me
a favor. And you know what's crazy is now that
Sean Payton's in Denver, I see him all the time.

Speaker 2 (03:45):
It's crazy. So it's just funny how things come full
circle in this game, man.

Speaker 3 (03:49):
And I'm I have no regrets about going to New
Orleans and spending that few months that I was there,
and I got to meet you and see y'all boys,
do y'all thing and y'all prime, so it was all
worth it.

Speaker 1 (04:02):
I'm upset I wasn't thinking, like as a year four
player about three year four players. I wasn't thinking farther
enough in the head, like when I started having like
legends of the games, touched the team whatever in whatever capacity.
I started getting their Saints style jerseys, you know, like
I probably want a few people that got the Brandon
Brandon Marshall.

Speaker 2 (04:19):
Saints jersey Wow, Like I forgot about that.

Speaker 1 (04:22):
Man. That's like if they touched it, like Adrian Peterson
got it, you know, des Bryant got it. Don't have
a dad gum, you know, if you got a Saints
Champ baby back there, you don't want that anyway. I do.
I do because you're legendary. But it hits better when
it's black and gold here. That's just you know, I'm
just that. I'm that through and through, like, yeah, maybe.

Speaker 3 (04:43):
There's one out there because I don't have one either,
So we're in the same boat.

Speaker 2 (04:47):
Maybe we can get some couple of kids made. Let's
do that.

Speaker 1 (04:50):
Fact I could. I could work on that. You see,
you see the you see the terrain, the coaching terrain
as as as such in our NFL. We now have
what nine NFL coaching openings, you know, whether that's New York,
whether that's now the Steelers, the Ravens, the two newest
editions with Harball and and Tomlin out of there. What happened?

(05:12):
Like the loyalty the Steelers don't.

Speaker 2 (05:14):
Part ways, They've never done. That's that's what's crazy. I think.
I think people need to understand, like the.

Speaker 3 (05:22):
Steelers only had three coaches in the history of that franchise,
So you gotta think.

Speaker 1 (05:28):
Tom stepped stepped down.

Speaker 3 (05:30):
What does it look like for the next guy, Like,
I don't I don't know if they're gonna get that
same runway. And yeah, I think Tomlin has never had
a losing season all that time.

Speaker 1 (05:42):
Hey, hey, appreciate you for taking the playoffs and they
never have a lose season. Color get out of here.

Speaker 3 (05:46):
So what does it really take to stay in a
job like that?

Speaker 2 (05:50):
I don't know. Now I'm understanding as I read the
fine print.

Speaker 3 (05:54):
Yeah, he stepped down, but we all know that thing
had to be mutual because.

Speaker 1 (05:59):
A mixable de punchure.

Speaker 3 (06:00):
Now, if he goes and he's coaching somewhere else next year,
then we all know that he probably never wanted to
step down, So right, I could see him taking a
break if that's the case.

Speaker 2 (06:13):
Oh my god, Peyton played that so well right, and
he played I mean, he.

Speaker 1 (06:20):
I need to step away from the game TV for
coach through and through.

Speaker 3 (06:24):
We all know that, right, So understanding where he is
even Harvar.

Speaker 2 (06:29):
But you know, Harbor's departure was a little different.

Speaker 3 (06:32):
But both these guys were at their program for over
fifteen years.

Speaker 2 (06:36):
That's that's an eternity in this game.

Speaker 3 (06:39):
And the power and the leverage that they have now
to further their career. I mean, it's at its peak.
And it's nice to be a free agent these days.
When they're throwing around twenty twenty five million for a
head coach.

Speaker 2 (06:54):
It's ridiculous. It's ridiculous.

Speaker 1 (06:56):
Absolutely. I was thinking players. I was like, it's nice
to be a young free agent right now. That's my bodies.

Speaker 2 (07:01):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (07:01):
If you sub you subbed thirty one.

Speaker 2 (07:03):
Oh oh yeah, no matter what position.

Speaker 3 (07:06):
If the money is out there, and it's it's so
astronomically higher than when I played.

Speaker 1 (07:13):
It's unbelievab my rookie year. And it's it's small, it's small,
super small violins, right, my rookie year. I was like, Mama,
I made it. I made I Like, you wouldn't even
believe my rookie contract is, Mama, I'm making one thousand
dollars a day, every day of the year. Mama, my
big pay is three sixty five. I said, I went
for college scrapping. Hey, mom, let me like, let me

(07:34):
get a band and let pop let me get five hundred.
Do you know my older brother, a bro like let me,
let me get sixty off you. I'm fighting to pay rent.
I'm fighting to do all these I picked up a job,
these kids got an other. These kids it's rookie pay
scale north of.

Speaker 3 (07:50):
Now it's ten thousand a day.

Speaker 2 (07:54):
Dude. It's it's beyond unreal at this point.

Speaker 3 (07:58):
And you know, I'm happy for him, even if college
kids that are making money, I'm happy that now everybody's
getting their due. I think college is a little different
because the pro structure is better collegees.

Speaker 2 (08:10):
I mean it's wild, wild west right.

Speaker 3 (08:12):
Now, West and yeah, yeah, and it's it's gonna be
like that until the growing ups really start acting like
grown ups and put some structure in place for these
kids and the coaches. I mean, it'll benefit everybody involved.

Speaker 1 (08:24):
Are you even think there's making a better pro or
worse pro because at this point, now they got the
money to get the massage and the prehab, worry about school.

Speaker 3 (08:32):
And like, it ain't about giving them money, it's the
structure around them moving around because a lot of times
they're they're think about it.

Speaker 2 (08:41):
Let's just look at it this way. Who is advising them?

Speaker 1 (08:44):
We don't know, nobody does so and you hope they
got good parents in the corner. And I hope that
they got to finance advisor.

Speaker 3 (08:52):
And find out who your agent is right away and
who's advising you because your agent is vetted, it has
to be prosed by your NFL certified.

Speaker 1 (09:02):
After Who's gonna create a college student union? That's tough.
I mean, it's already hard to unionize uh, thirty to
fifty three players by thirty two teams sixty nine players
with fresh squad players.

Speaker 3 (09:14):
And if you are expecting you expect them to get
on the same page about unionize it, they're not going to.
So that structure has to come from the adults in
the room, like what are we doing? And that and
the lack of structure is allowing the state to continue
to be the way it is.

Speaker 2 (09:31):
And who's benefiting Just look around, follow the money. I mean,
the coaches are.

Speaker 3 (09:35):
Extremely beneficial from this process, and they move around.

Speaker 1 (09:38):
Just as much as any universities c double A. They've
been beneficial, like all right, well now, like teach the
next generation on how to do things, and then they
could be a better structure for for the for the
foreseeable future.

Speaker 2 (09:51):
Simple is that simple?

Speaker 1 (09:53):
Oh takes me take me to you know, Uh, the Broncos.
How you feeling, you know, like I'm not. And if
you go to multiple teams, you clearly get to have favorites. Right,
So you got you got two sons, you got to
you got the you know, the Washington and you got Broncos.
Like Washington's out, so you don't have to worry about

(10:14):
them this year.

Speaker 3 (10:16):
I mean, they both got in last year, so it
was a little tough. I mean, thank god they were
on opposite sides. But I do believe, you know, the Broncos,
I mean they sitting in a good spot, right.

Speaker 2 (10:26):
You got home field.

Speaker 3 (10:26):
Advantage, number number one seed, yeah, number one seed, great defense,
So they've done all the right things to get in
this position. I think if there's anything that gives me palls,
it's just a consistency.

Speaker 2 (10:39):
From their offense. Like they haven't been consistent.

Speaker 3 (10:43):
I think they'd be the first to tell you that's
something that they know they have to shore up before.
They could beat the Buffalo Bills next week, or they
could beat the team after that.

Speaker 2 (10:53):
If they win this game, it's defense is only gonna
take you so far.

Speaker 1 (10:58):
Defense wins championship.

Speaker 2 (11:01):
The edge, you gotta have it.

Speaker 1 (11:02):
But edge is a low Cooper, Benito. You talk about
Zach in the middle, Maroch in the middle, Passer Tain
on the corner, nasty work on.

Speaker 3 (11:12):
The defense, got studs, and I believe they could be
the same have the same impact on the other side
of the ball.

Speaker 2 (11:18):
It just needs to happen more consistently.

Speaker 3 (11:20):
I love the girls from bow Knicks and what he's
been able to do in his his second year. So
just so just seeing you know what they're up against
and who they are. They're built to go deep in
the playoffs and possibly win the Super Bowl, Like I
feel like they could do it.

Speaker 2 (11:37):
They just have to click right now.

Speaker 3 (11:39):
It can't be relying on the defense this week and
hoping the offense shows up the next week. The offense
has to compliment the defense, and it has to happen consistently.
That's the only thing they missed most of the year.
They did it when they had to fourth quarter comebacks
all this stuff. That's great, you've been tested, but I
saw the same things sort of happened with my bull.

Speaker 2 (12:00):
It's like we got to.

Speaker 3 (12:01):
The point where that offense just wasn't clicking at the
right time, and it was just too late to hit
the switch and you saw that against the Jaguars late
in the season, right, So there's been evidence that that
could be the thing that kind of puts them behind
or at least causes them to lose a game. They
keep that thing on point, and they could definitely be

(12:22):
a Super Bowl champs again.

Speaker 1 (12:24):
I'll say, you know you you look at no you
know you can stay in the a FC. Do you
see the Houston Texans game last night? If the offense
felt like they were trying to get they tried to
give it away to get. Defense was rolling man on everything.
I love. I said, look that said that's the best.
That's the best candlem uh defensive ends in the league

(12:45):
right there with Will Anderson. And you can make a
case for the corners to man.

Speaker 3 (12:52):
My dog, my young dog, Kamar Lesseter is so underrated.
I mean, this dude is an animal in the corner
and you see you could just It's funny.

Speaker 2 (13:05):
I met him before he left school, so it was
right before his last.

Speaker 3 (13:08):
Year, and immediately in the first ten minutes of talking
to him, I'm like, Yeah, this kid's gonna be a
dog like he I just knew it, like just by
the way he was listening to me. The way we
were talking and he was giving me the feedback the
things he was talking about when we were working on
the little press covers we worked on in that little
time he was I was like, Okay, this kid here

(13:29):
gonna have a bright future, and I'd be he is.
I am in one of his biggest fans because he
does what he says he's gonna do, and you could
tell he's putting the work in.

Speaker 2 (13:40):
And man, when I watched him, I'm like, yes, they
gets that mad boy. They cannot sleep on number fall.

Speaker 3 (13:46):
On the other side, that dude is ready and he's
so consistent and I love watching him play.

Speaker 2 (13:53):
Man.

Speaker 1 (13:55):
I love how you keep dropping this consistent line. I'm
trying to tell people, I said, you know, everybody's surprised
about my longevity or at the level of play it.
So consistency is key. The things that we do when
we make it look routine, didn't start out routine, Nah, bro, Like,
ain't nobody tell me that I was going to be
one of the first ones to walk into the locker
room and I was going hot ub and I was

(14:15):
gonna take care of my body and I was gonna
do things the right way. I had to learn that,
but once it's learned, I don't give it back. Yeah,
I only improve the process.

Speaker 3 (14:22):
You know, I could say this, I'm so glad I'm
talking to you because you're you're somebody fighting to get
to year sixteen.

Speaker 2 (14:30):
I was doing the same thing, and.

Speaker 3 (14:32):
I feel like what what disabled me from really going
further was my lack of preparation. And what I mean
is I couldn't practice the way I used to practice.

Speaker 2 (14:44):
I couldn't work the way I used to work. I
didn't I.

Speaker 3 (14:47):
Probably don't have half as much data and information about
what it takes to keep my body in shape as
you have right now, So.

Speaker 2 (14:55):
Those things different.

Speaker 3 (14:57):
How quickly I could decline or I did decline and
I'm not I'm not realizing it at the time, but
when I look back, I'm like, dang man, I miss
all those practices.

Speaker 2 (15:08):
I hurt my foot my fifteenth year. I sat out
most of that year. I came back.

Speaker 3 (15:12):
I was good for a short period of time, but
you always know that catches up. It always catches up
to you, that lack of preparation. Then I got to
New Orleans, I couldn't practice. But they do it in
the same breath, saying we're trying to save your body.

Speaker 2 (15:28):
I'm like, no, man, I gotta work like you.

Speaker 1 (15:31):
They stayed, They stay trying to be like yo, saving
your body for later, for what later? As much as
I've wanted, I've lived out my dreams.

Speaker 2 (15:39):
This is my dream.

Speaker 1 (15:41):
Will squeeze this dream dry? Like they'd be like, oh, well,
we're trying to prolong prolonged. Yeah, I have, I have loved,
I have lost, I have left.

Speaker 2 (15:49):
Yeah.

Speaker 3 (15:50):
Let for all those that are like year eight, nine, ten,
when you're approaching those double digit years, find ways to
continue to practice work and just take carry your body
a little more like it's that's really what it's gonna
take to you stay on top, don't.

Speaker 1 (16:05):
I don't even believe in a days. I don't. I
didn't take no one direct off you learn.

Speaker 2 (16:10):
I wish I never did.

Speaker 3 (16:11):
I mean, some of it was caused by injury, but
even before that, I would get days off randomly, and
I would take them because I was tired at the time.
But in high sight, I'm like, man, all that stuff
added up to not working, which ultimately affected me on
some level.

Speaker 2 (16:27):
So keep working, man, you gotta keep working.

Speaker 1 (16:31):
Got to all right, let's go, let's go over the
you know the playoffs right now, you know, let's talk.
Let's talk about it. I just want to know your
remaining playoffs. Let's go game by game here, see see
what you think about the matchups? Right Divisional round, Bill's Broncos,
Bill's at Broncos.

Speaker 2 (16:49):
I mean, they don't talk about this.

Speaker 1 (16:52):
Come on, there's gonna be a year for Josh alla win.
It has to be this year, revenge season.

Speaker 2 (16:58):
You know, I hear you, but I don't.

Speaker 3 (17:00):
I'm not buying into this is their year because they
didn't prove it through the season.

Speaker 1 (17:05):
And why didn't say it was their year?

Speaker 2 (17:07):
I said it should be right.

Speaker 3 (17:10):
Because all the monsters is out, that the Chiefs are out,
you know, everybody, they're all out. That the quarterbacks that
he's also had to deal with. But again, like here's
here's this monster of the Denver Broncos, this defense. There
is no way that he's looking forward to this one,

(17:32):
especially after putting them out last year.

Speaker 2 (17:34):
So I know, I know they're ready for him this year.
So the best thing.

Speaker 3 (17:39):
They got going for them is that guy behind Josh Allen,
and if they can find a way to get him going,
then they'll.

Speaker 2 (17:46):
Give They'll give different problems.

Speaker 1 (17:48):
Let cook let come if.

Speaker 3 (17:51):
They and that the fact that they don't have that
type of defense that we've seen in the past that
Josh Allen has had.

Speaker 2 (17:59):
I don't feel like their defense is as strong as
they've been.

Speaker 3 (18:04):
Yeah, but they gotta figure it out against his Broncos
team because two weeks to prepare.

Speaker 2 (18:10):
You know, Champagne's coming with it, so.

Speaker 1 (18:12):
He's been for the last week and a half. He's
coming with You probably give the players, and you probably
give the players about four or five days off. Hey man,
y'all got up last week.

Speaker 3 (18:20):
I got Yeah, so I was pretty scheduled last week.
And you know, I know they got like four or
five days off. They came back for the weekend. So
just understanding they've had their rest, should have drawing board.
And I'm looking forward to this one because, like you say,
if the year was if this was a year for

(18:41):
Josh Allen, I mean, if there was a year, this
is it like this, this is the moment that we're.

Speaker 1 (18:46):
Gonna Yeah, we will keep calling them. You know, I
called him Andrew Love two point zero.

Speaker 3 (18:49):
But that's why I love football so much, because year
the year, you have no idea who would have predicted
the Broncos and the Seahawks.

Speaker 2 (18:57):
Be number one seas.

Speaker 3 (18:59):
Nobody, nobody predicted that everybody had the utiful suspects.

Speaker 2 (19:04):
So here we go.

Speaker 1 (19:06):
Broncos got it, yep, then you got h What do
you got? You got Houston and Patriots?

Speaker 3 (19:10):
Yeah, So Drake May did not look impressive to me, right,
so you got to win a win. Win their defense
though their defense is legit, I mean not giving up
a touchdown to high.

Speaker 2 (19:26):
Caliber quarterback like Herbert.

Speaker 3 (19:28):
Look, man, the sk with this team, well, they take
care of the football.

Speaker 1 (19:34):
It just.

Speaker 3 (19:36):
Drake made this didn't look comfortable all night playing that game.

Speaker 2 (19:40):
So so for me, didn't look comfortable exactly. So defense
helped them overcome the problem.

Speaker 3 (19:48):
So how often can you howten can you just lean
on the defense like that without complimenting them on some level?
And that didn't happen for the Patriots at least not enough.
They just they played a against a lesser team that
just couldn't keep up with them.

Speaker 2 (20:04):
Now you're talking about the Texans.

Speaker 3 (20:07):
Look, man, you ain't putting up twenty five thirty points
on these boys.

Speaker 2 (20:10):
It ain't happening.

Speaker 1 (20:12):
Get it, gonna go, get this where you're gonna find
your win, you gotta methodically place your show in the
right position.

Speaker 3 (20:18):
So I do feel like both teams gotta figure out
how to get their young quarterbacks to play more consistently
and not put their defense in a bind because or
fields are not that that's not a recipe for wins.
Houston overcame it and overcame it because I feel like
the Steelers to me, had been frauds all year, like
for their division was just down.

Speaker 2 (20:40):
They ended up sneaking out with the win of the division.

Speaker 3 (20:43):
Great, but I just never felt like they were gonna
advance in the playoffs. And the Texans definitely tried to
give it to them, but you know, the better team won.

Speaker 1 (20:52):
So I love to tea there were going nine or Seahawks.

Speaker 2 (21:00):
Seahawks.

Speaker 3 (21:02):
I'm not even gonna get into it. I like the Niners.
I just I just don't feel like they got.

Speaker 1 (21:08):
Even The Niners are like that team that's one unit,
you know what I'm saying, Like, yeah, on paper, they
look like they're they're not as advantageous as as anybody
they face, and yet they don't. They match up will
versus anybody because they play as a true team. Special
teams offense, defense. They are the well coordinated team that
you're like, damn, if we slip.

Speaker 2 (21:30):
Up, you're gonna take a thing I like about him.
I like this.

Speaker 3 (21:34):
I'm gonna tell you I said, I like the Seahawks,
But I'm gonna tell you why. I like the forty
nine ers as a team because they're finding success with
other guys like DeMarcus Robinson. Where the hell he come from?

Speaker 2 (21:46):
Her? He I saw him play a couple of weeks ago.

Speaker 3 (21:50):
He made a few plays, Okay, yeah, they usually spread
it out a little bit, and then he goes off
in the playoff game. I'm like, well, damn, what a
gennis get going? And we all know they got to
worry about CMC back there, Like so dealing with all
those facts, if they can now losing kittle kittles really

(22:13):
hurts hurts.

Speaker 2 (22:14):
So they gotta.

Speaker 3 (22:15):
Find production at that tight end position, because they'd love
to do a lot with the tight ends. If they
can find success with the guys that are really role players,
then I could see them getting to the Seahawks. But
the Seahawks just went to uh, San Francisco and beat
the dog that's out of them a couple of weeks ago,

(22:35):
and you know, I don't I don't feel like they're
gonna overcome that. They gotta go on the road to Seattle,
and that defense is another monster.

Speaker 1 (22:46):
Marcus Lawrence Williams in the.

Speaker 2 (22:49):
Middle, and their secondary is loaded with talent. I mean,
it's it's one of those teams.

Speaker 3 (22:54):
Man. They surprised me, and I think that the thing
that they figured out is get assistant play from the quarterback.
And then Jasen is a whole other animal that emerged.

Speaker 2 (23:06):
Out of nowhere.

Speaker 3 (23:07):
Like we all knew he was talented, but damn, now
you're talking about him possibly being one of the best
in the league.

Speaker 2 (23:14):
Nobody saw that coming.

Speaker 3 (23:15):
So when you have young guys kind of overachieved for
your team, that's when success starts to happen.

Speaker 1 (23:21):
I mean, and they got eat and you I said, damn,
you took you know, took our special teams, king dude.
And now he's looking King Lea again.

Speaker 2 (23:32):
Yeah, they are loaded with talent, and that was just
the icing on the cake to see.

Speaker 1 (23:38):
All right, what about rams Bears.

Speaker 2 (23:41):
I don't think the Bears ready, you know, you know.

Speaker 3 (23:45):
I didn't know if the Bears gonna be ready last absolutely,
did you know, what's funny is during that game, I'm
in a group text with a bunch of guys. I
haven't been a believer in Green Bay, so I'm not
surprised that they one the way they did.

Speaker 2 (24:02):
Now, I do not I do not see the Bears
winning this game. I just.

Speaker 1 (24:08):
The Rams.

Speaker 2 (24:09):
The Rams are just a Williams in the back.

Speaker 1 (24:12):
You go, you might. You got Matt Stafford wheeling and
dealing at the highest level, and who's gonna stop the cool.

Speaker 2 (24:21):
Who's gonna stop him?

Speaker 3 (24:22):
And yeah, it's they got weapons. And I've never seen
a quarterback so on point at this point in his
career than Matthew Staffords.

Speaker 2 (24:33):
And the defense is the defense. We all know they
got a great defense too.

Speaker 1 (24:37):
So Jared Verse, dude, man, you got Kobe Turner in
the middle. What like you got dogs, got the linebacker,
linebackers got there himself a new contract where he was,
I got the Rams.

Speaker 2 (24:51):
So let's let's get in the conversation.

Speaker 1 (24:53):
All right, we get in the conversation.

Speaker 3 (24:55):
Winning super Bowl, and on I got I think I'm
a put the Rams in the Super Bowl, and I'm
gonna say they're gonna play.

Speaker 2 (25:05):
And we're gonna get that four championship for my Broncos.
So we gotta get it, man, we gotta get it.

Speaker 1 (25:11):
I mean, this is the year I got, I got friends,
I got, I got real friends and previous teammates that
I just root for. I want everybody to lose if
I'm on the couch.

Speaker 3 (25:19):
But you know, when I was there in the preseason,
you know, just you have side conversations with Sean Payton,
He's gonna give you something, and he was like, yeah, man,
this is this is a super Bowl caliber team.

Speaker 2 (25:31):
Like now he's not.

Speaker 3 (25:34):
I'm like, okay, yeah, like you know, to be talking
like that in the preseason, yeah okay, but not even
the preseason.

Speaker 2 (25:42):
This was early in the off season. He was like,
obviously we gotta go work, but we got the tools
to do it.

Speaker 3 (25:48):
And I'm like, yeah, all right, and then oh it
just progressed from there.

Speaker 2 (25:55):
I'm like, damn, okay, he said it. You know you
you don't.

Speaker 3 (26:00):
I don't take those kind of comments lightly, because this
dude to seem more football than anybody.

Speaker 2 (26:08):
And to know that.

Speaker 3 (26:09):
You have that kind of talent around you or the
possibility of being that good, you gotta buy into it.

Speaker 2 (26:17):
And you know how it is, man, you got to
go play the game.

Speaker 3 (26:20):
But at the same time, man, there's so much good,
good football knowledge out there from guys like him that
I'm like, I don't ever take anything he says about
the game, like, because these dudes know the game, they've
been around it, they've been in these rooms, they've been.

Speaker 2 (26:35):
Around great other great coaches.

Speaker 3 (26:37):
So just knowing that, I'm like, Okay, so it gave
me confidence for my guys to go out there and
do what he said they were gonna do.

Speaker 2 (26:43):
And they here, they are number one seed, here the path.
So let's see. Let's go play the game and see
what happens.

Speaker 1 (26:49):
We'll be back in a minute. My question, how'd you
even leave that? Like maybe I'm just not old enough,
Like how'd you end up leaving Washington go to Denver?
I got get on to Denver, but I so you'll
be like, how does that happen?

Speaker 3 (27:01):
You?

Speaker 1 (27:01):
Like a cornerstone again? Okay, So let me give you
a pro pro bowler, all right, cornerstone of a franchise.

Speaker 3 (27:08):
Right, I'll give you some contexts when I got drafted.
I was drafted by Charlie Casseman in nineteen ninety nine.
That summer of nineteen ninety nine, Dan Snyder bought the team.

Speaker 2 (27:20):
So I was never one of his guys.

Speaker 3 (27:23):
I was always from the old regime, even though I
started my rookie year as him being my owner. So
fast forward to the next year, they draft LeVar Arrington
and Chris Samuels number two and number three.

Speaker 2 (27:40):
Fast forward a couple years later.

Speaker 3 (27:42):
Both those dudes signed extensions before I signed mine or
before they offered me an extension. So when it was
time for me to sign my extension, and they waited
till my final year to try.

Speaker 2 (27:53):
To resign me, they offered me nothing.

Speaker 3 (27:57):
They didn't It was I wouldn't have been highest paid corner,
which I deserve to be at the time.

Speaker 2 (28:03):
You know, I've been to four straight Pro Bowls. You
know I was all pro.

Speaker 1 (28:09):
You're supposed to be.

Speaker 3 (28:10):
I had done everything that you could possibly do on
the field to earn that paycheck. But I was I
remember I was never one of their guys, and that.

Speaker 2 (28:20):
I don't know why.

Speaker 3 (28:21):
That always carried weight with people like him, and fortunate
enough for me, I was franchised. So when they franchised me,
you gotta think I gotta sign my tag in order
for them to trade me.

Speaker 2 (28:35):
So I was able to see the offers out there.

Speaker 3 (28:37):
I had two offers on the table, one for Denver
and one for the Jets. The one for Denver was
for seven years, one for the Jets for six.

Speaker 2 (28:45):
Years, and Denver basically offered me what I asked for.

Speaker 3 (28:53):
So the offer that was on the table was what
I asked for from the from the Redskins. At the time,
Denver looked at and it was like, oh, no doubt,
we'll pay that.

Speaker 2 (29:02):
I got to think.

Speaker 3 (29:05):
At that point, I'm thinking I'm leaving money on the
table because they took the offer. When somebody just bikes
on the first try, Oh shit, I gotta throw some
more there.

Speaker 2 (29:14):
I didn't do that, you know. I stuck to my guns,
you know.

Speaker 3 (29:18):
So ultimately, once I knew the offer was what I
wanted it to be, I signed the franchise tag. They
traded me to Denver for Clinton Portis and a second
round pick. So when I got to Denver, Shanahan was like,
you know, I didn't think we would get the second
round pick, but I asked for it because a running

(29:40):
back is a little more glamorous position, right, and Clinton
Portis had Clinton Porters was falling, right, So I'm a
little upset that he's actually leaving the team. On one hand,
but at the same time, we got this second round
pick that we later used on Tatum Bell, who came in,
wore the same numbers Clinton, and actually had a good
couple of years with us before he was traded to Detroit.

(30:03):
But but long story short, man, that's that's why I
left Washington.

Speaker 1 (30:08):
I was never we go to Denver and you elevated
your play even further with the all pro joints.

Speaker 2 (30:14):
You know what I'm saying.

Speaker 3 (30:15):
I was going to a franchise that was known for
getting the playoffs every year, great running scheme, always in
the playoffs, always a chance.

Speaker 2 (30:23):
To win it. That's all I wanted. I just wanted
the chance to go win the title.

Speaker 1 (30:27):
You got traded, So how did you How did you
elevate your play after the trade? Like you were already
a pro bowler? You you you into Denver, into the chat,
You're like, oh, I appreciate you, let me help, let
me go whole nothing.

Speaker 3 (30:40):
So one thing you haven't experienced because you've been in
the same place. When you go to another team, people
look at you differently. Now I'm walking into this locker room,
the highest payed player on the team.

Speaker 2 (30:51):
You know, I'm going into my sixth year.

Speaker 3 (30:53):
I'm in the prime of my career, so all the
young guys are looking at me, and I've known nothing
but one thing.

Speaker 2 (31:00):
It's the work.

Speaker 3 (31:01):
Like I took practice seriously, and I think that's what
Shanahan really bought into. You know, at the time, they
were dealing with Peyton Manning and that that receiver Cord
they had been put out in the playoffs. He was
eating them up in the playoffs every year, so they

(31:22):
knew they needed a cover corner. But also Shanahan was
big about practice. He was like, I don't care what
happens on game day. Every day you step out on
that field, I want to see you practice hard.

Speaker 2 (31:34):
I knew nothing different.

Speaker 3 (31:36):
So when he would use my film and cut ups
to point to, oh, this is how you work. This
is and I'm like, damn, you know, he's always putting
me out there.

Speaker 2 (31:44):
But it was what it was.

Speaker 1 (31:47):
That's what I understand.

Speaker 2 (31:48):
I didn't know any different, and it was it was
fortunate enough for me.

Speaker 3 (31:51):
I had Rod Smith on the other who was just
like me, but he was an offensive player season that
so I was happy that I had somebody like.

Speaker 2 (32:00):
That to lean on and really learn like.

Speaker 3 (32:01):
He was the pros pro and he was always one
hundred percent attendance at workouts in the off season. So
I tried to just sort of follow that. So again,
I understand, I'm in my sixth year, say that a little.

Speaker 1 (32:16):
Louder though, with one hundred attendance in the Ota Park, little.

Speaker 2 (32:20):
A little louder every year.

Speaker 1 (32:22):
That's that's the April May June workouts. That when it's
not like, man, like, I'm gonna be there, and then
they'll be there. Be there as a young player. Now
as a vent after you get your own little routine, sure,
but as a young player, and they'll be like, man, yeah,
I'm gonna be there, you know forty as a young player. Yeah,
you're two three four five six, bro, this is your
prime to take advantage of everything.

Speaker 2 (32:43):
Yeah.

Speaker 3 (32:44):
I give him a lot of credit for one seeing
and appreciating the way I work, but also duplicating that
on the other side of the ball. So it kept
me competitive and also just kept me on top of
my game. And right I knew nothing thing else but
to work like So for me, it wasn't like I
had to figure out how to be a pro. I'm

(33:05):
just working and then the results are the results. I
don't care about that every day.

Speaker 1 (33:10):
And as and as a corner bro, You're like you
really didn't miss tackles, like like you came to us
and I was like, I was like, man, I was like,
look like I was proud, oh or he ain't trying
to hit nobody and you was fire smacking cats.

Speaker 2 (33:22):
I said, y'all, that was all pride standard, you know.
I was very proudful and making sure that I tackled.

Speaker 3 (33:30):
I did everything, you know, because one thing about guys
I played with, like darn bring Deon Sanders, they were
known for not wanting to tackle, but they would tackle,
but they didn't want to do it.

Speaker 2 (33:42):
I wanted people to believe I wanted to tackle. I
will tackle and it might hurt, you know, So.

Speaker 3 (33:48):
I always and it was purposeful, like you know, I
didn't of course, I didn't like to run up on
these big boys, but if the opportunity presented itself, I'm
doing it. That's the way I was raised and how
how I just carried myself as I prepared to play
games like I'm gonna be completely.

Speaker 1 (34:08):
There's more height than seeing a corner break early to
go for a tackle to the flat, make the make
it running backs. You know, ankles touch his ears just
so scorpious.

Speaker 3 (34:18):
Down And that's what I that's what I love about
Kamar Lassiter when I brought him up, Like, yeah, it's
really the tackling.

Speaker 2 (34:25):
It's like, dude, you gotta understand the attitude.

Speaker 3 (34:28):
You gotta have to go up there and hit bigger
guys over and over again.

Speaker 2 (34:32):
Everybody's bigger than us as corners.

Speaker 3 (34:35):
So when you have to do that over and over again, man,
you gotta really take pride in that.

Speaker 2 (34:39):
And it's and it's not easy. It's nice easy at all.

Speaker 1 (34:45):
So especially not in today's game. Could you imagine you
got to pull in tackle or garden you're no longer
allowed to chop underneathrom.

Speaker 3 (34:50):
Oh yeah, Like I avoided a couple of those big guys,
but that was by design, like I always knew, like
I'm not about to run up.

Speaker 2 (34:59):
I'll never forget. Garry Allen was pulling.

Speaker 3 (35:02):
The great late Larry Allen was pulling around on the
reverse and I made a miss. The unfortunate part is
I missed the damn running back, and I was like, man,
I gotta.

Speaker 2 (35:11):
Figure out the receiver.

Speaker 3 (35:15):
I gotta figure out how to get to him without
hitting this big guy, and you can't really practice that.
I just kept watching it on tape. I was like, okay,
if I just jump outside, jump back in. And you
know who was really good at it was another one of.

Speaker 2 (35:30):
My draft mates, Antoine Winfield.

Speaker 3 (35:32):
He was really good at taking himself out of it
and then jumping back in it. Oh my god, yes,
senior right, And you know he was. He was special
in that way. So I tried to emulate a lot
of that. And you know, it happens maybe three times
a year, so it wasn't like it was a constant thing.
It was just every now and then there's a lineman

(35:53):
gonna run.

Speaker 2 (35:54):
Up on you. What are you gonna do? Well?

Speaker 3 (35:57):
For what, I'm not hitting it, So I gotta figure
out how to dodge him without taking myself out of
the play. And I mean I did a successful a
couple of times, but you know a lot of times
I just get out of the way and let the
big boys just come clean it up.

Speaker 1 (36:11):
Right. No, the best way to the best way to
make that tackle is you you know what I'm saying.
But then again, I'm bigger. So I'm like, I'm going
through them.

Speaker 2 (36:17):
Yeah, see that's you.

Speaker 1 (36:18):
I meet him at the top.

Speaker 3 (36:19):
You deal with these big boys all day every day.
When I see him, this foreign to me, Like what
in the hell do I do?

Speaker 1 (36:25):
And he just every now again as a switch up.

Speaker 2 (36:28):
Yeah for sure, Yeah, bro.

Speaker 1 (36:31):
For sure. I mean you you were you were at
the Broncos for a number of years for Peyton entered
entered over to the Broncos. And once he did, you know,
you guys go thirteen to three the first season, thirty
three the second season, go to the super Bowl. You know,
like that's a fair tale story.

Speaker 3 (36:47):
It sort of is until we lost in the Super
Bowl and then you know, it is what it is
at that point. But but I remember, you know when
he did come, it was right after t Bow and
this was right I think it was Lway's second year
because always first year we had t Bow. You know,
we had the playoff game where he threw the past

(37:09):
of DT in overtime and all this, so a lot
of great hoopla that year. But Lways he's a traditional quarterback, right,
so he wanted a traditional.

Speaker 2 (37:20):
Quarterback immediately immediately when it got Payton, I'm like, yeah,
now I could go win my championship.

Speaker 3 (37:28):
We obviously came up short, but it was a great
experience because it sort of reinvigorated my career at a
time where I knew I was on the back end,
like I could feel it, but when he came in
in twenty twelve, it just kind of ignited something and
I made the Pro Bowl that year, I got hurt
the next year, and then I ended up leaving the

(37:50):
following year. It was it's just an unfortunate quick decline
from me because of my health and obviously my age.
But it was a great experience to see him be
a leader that he was because everything that was talked
about before he got there, I mean it was by
the book.

Speaker 1 (38:08):
To you go to practice and you it ain't known
iron sharp and iron you. Oh, this is one of
the greatest of all times. Yeah, I gotta be on
I gotta be on ten.

Speaker 3 (38:16):
And it was good to see him prepare and practice
the way I want my teammates to practice. And that's
really why they ended up winning the championship later, because
he just instilled so many high level qualities in the
office that just resonated and carried over to that Super
Bowl year when they wanted in twenty fifteen.

Speaker 1 (38:37):
Right, I'll say a few years later they win that thing.
It's just the legendary for the Broncos. I mean, does
it bother you that much that you were a part
of that that that two.

Speaker 2 (38:47):
Bowl in Not really, you know, I think.

Speaker 3 (38:54):
I think my story was just my story, and you know,
my journey was my journey.

Speaker 2 (38:58):
And I never get caught up in it.

Speaker 3 (39:00):
I think at at the time, I was so connected
to so many guys on the team. A lot of
them were calling me after the fact, and I was
calling them and congratulating.

Speaker 2 (39:09):
Them, and I was still connected to the team. I
felt like I was a part of it.

Speaker 1 (39:13):
And on some level at that point, you just gonna
be a QC man. Yeah, like keep buy behind the lines,
right man, you know right.

Speaker 2 (39:19):
But nobody offered me those jobs.

Speaker 3 (39:21):
Nobody even offered me to play safety, And maybe I
should have just demanded it, but you know, I was,
I was at the back end of my career anyway,
So I'm I'm actually happy that I played all my
fifteen years at corner at corner and I did it
at a high level. So I'm proud of that. But
in highsight, No I have I have no regrets. I'm

(39:42):
just happy that I'm a part of a franchise that
appreciates people like me to this day and you know,
anything that they win, I feel like I'm a part
of absolutely.

Speaker 1 (39:53):
That's like I said Rare Air, we talked about you know,
we were we were thirty when you retired. I just
had my I was thirty six. I am thirty six
this year and I'm over here loving practice. I'm like,
it's crazy to think the late like the later season
you got, you saw like, you know, guys like man, man,
I'm sore, gee like I brom banged up.

Speaker 3 (40:15):
I'm like, yeah, so tell, I do have a question.
I got a question for you though, because I'm Peyton
was one way and I don't think.

Speaker 2 (40:26):
There's anybody like him, right, What was it?

Speaker 4 (40:29):
Like you you saw our condition chests crazy doing participating CrossFit,
but I saw nobody an't nobody messing with that?

Speaker 1 (40:39):
And now he's all like I'm calling my boys over dinner,
like yo, what's conditioning? Like He's like, na, we sort
of just you know, we paid atention to the metrics and.

Speaker 2 (40:46):
That it was unnecessary.

Speaker 3 (40:48):
Bro.

Speaker 1 (40:48):
Yeah, we were the we were the older child. You
know what I'm saying, Like you know how you your
parents have an older child, we go through jail and
high water, and then you have that last child and
they loved going it like you like he ain't got
a curvefield, he ain't got to do rolles, but they
get some of the process. That's that's what differ is

(41:09):
right now, you know what I'm saying, They can all
the good without all the trials and tribulations. Like he's
already find out his cultivated techniques of what it is now.
Like the game when he first started was you know,
it was two a days, was those grinder you know,
practice hit in the morning and hit at night. And
then by the time I got there, it was just
like hit in the morning and I walk through. But

(41:30):
it felt like we were still practicing. And now it's
like a pure like hey, dial back practice and then
like hey, we'll take care of you.

Speaker 3 (41:38):
Yeah man, yeah, it's good for them. I guess he's
drown up.

Speaker 1 (41:43):
Stay tuned, we'll be right back. Tell me about your movie, man,
like I heard about it this week. Yeah, we're here
to push your movie. That I got out excited because
the kid in me was like, damn, this is champ.
He was a part of my team and I got
to see gradies.

Speaker 3 (41:59):
But about your movie, man, well, the movie is called
Signing Tony Raymond and advice.

Speaker 2 (42:06):
You know what, it's a few things.

Speaker 3 (42:08):
One, don't pull up to Tony's house if it's Stepdad's
knocked there.

Speaker 2 (42:14):
You get there and it's just mama. Ain't no telling
him what you're gonna find. That should be back in
that now.

Speaker 3 (42:23):
It's about this high school coach that has to he
has to find a way to sign this five star athlete,
Tony Raymond, and he's jumping through all these obstacles, dealing
with family. But in order to save his job, he
got to sign his kid. So it takes place in
rural Alabama.

Speaker 2 (42:43):
It was all.

Speaker 3 (42:44):
Filmed here in Georgia, Georgia Investors, everything, everything about it
is Georgia Brown.

Speaker 2 (42:50):
But for the story, it takes.

Speaker 3 (42:55):
Place in rural Alabama and the moment he shows up,
he's just dealing with the family. The mama is a
little wacky. Stepdad is, you know, trying to manipulate him
for the money.

Speaker 2 (43:07):
Bag man come bring him from.

Speaker 3 (43:09):
You know, it's just a lot of a lot of
what we saw when we were recruited back in the
day before n I l but then also the idea
of nil and what it means.

Speaker 2 (43:20):
So it's a really good story. And it's more.

Speaker 3 (43:24):
The thing is, some of these things will resonate with
you because you probably dealt with it as a as
a high school athlete, right.

Speaker 1 (43:30):
I'll say with you, because you were you were like
a five star prospect. You know, you want to drop
his bag off here in the front the front, brother
to the side. So as a free star prospect, I
didn't have that.

Speaker 3 (43:42):
So but what but what I love about it and
what what really made me buy into it was it
it just wasn't just about the game, because there's really
no football highlights in the movie or football like, it's
really no football stuff on family Like, it's all about
the story behind the scenes and what's going on trying
to sign this kid and all the things that this

(44:03):
recruiter is trying to to do to get this kid
to sign with his school.

Speaker 2 (44:09):
Now, the talent that we have in this movie.

Speaker 3 (44:13):
Mirro Sorbino Academy Award winner Rob Morgan, I mean, another
acclaimed actor, Michael Mosley, I mean our lead character and
Jackie k who plays Tony Raymond. But we also got
Marshawn Lynch in the movie like it ain't getting no call.

Speaker 2 (44:31):
So the next one you number one on the list, Yes,
so I got.

Speaker 3 (44:35):
I got a cameo from Tequillo Spikes, Charles Woodson, Richard Sherman,
you know, Jesse Palmer, Harry Douglas and the Boses.

Speaker 2 (44:44):
In the movie. Brian Bosworth in the movie Out There
printers on T shirts. He is well.

Speaker 3 (44:52):
First of all, when I went to Austin, Texas for
the film festival, he lives in Austin out of all
places being in Oklahoma soon. Uh so I never understood that,
but you know, he said he loves it there. But
we're there and we're talking, we're doing this thing. I
did this one hundred yards with Champ. It's more like
a walk and talk and one of the best people

(45:13):
I've been around.

Speaker 2 (45:14):
You know, filming this movie.

Speaker 1 (45:15):
So one I got said film in this movie, Like,
how how deeply involved were you? I was like, Georgia
grown It sounded like you was an e p P.

Speaker 3 (45:24):
I was. I was executive. I was an executive producer.
I helped get some of the talent. Obviously, all the
guys I named, you know, I helped bring them to
the table, and they.

Speaker 1 (45:34):
All these texts.

Speaker 2 (45:35):
They all didn't need a favor.

Speaker 3 (45:36):
Like it was, you know, I'm I'm just happy that
they obliged. Man, it was I got to give them credit.
Without them, I don't think it'd be as special as
it is. But when they said action and cut.

Speaker 2 (45:48):
I had nothing to do with that. I was not.

Speaker 1 (45:52):
I was not.

Speaker 2 (45:53):
The writer director is Glenn Owen.

Speaker 3 (45:55):
He used to play basketball at Georgia, but he's been
in the filmmaking business for years, so this is his
biggest feature film as well. He's worked on smaller projects
and we all had mutual connections, and that's how I
got to the film. I knew I had to have
real experts running this thing, becauseg this thing has been
three years in the making now. He wrote the script

(46:17):
maybe ten twelve years ago, right, updated it as he went.
But I came on board about three years ago. And
that's why now I'm so excited about it because it's
actually released this Friday, January sixteenth, and this is the
first time I've ever done anything like this. I'm but
you know how it is, man, We don't walk into

(46:39):
rooms pretending we know everything.

Speaker 2 (46:41):
You let the experts be the experts.

Speaker 3 (46:43):
You play your role. So I just played my role
whatever they asked of me. That meant they thought I
could do it. So this when out step in, So
I didn't have a lot of a lot to do
with the actual filming. But you know, getting people together,
the investors.

Speaker 1 (46:59):
All the relationships.

Speaker 3 (47:00):
Guy, pull things together and now here I am talking
about it and it's a finished product. So it's it's
one of those films, man, anybody can watch it. I mean,
I think it's PG. Thirteen, So it's a good family,
family movie. And I think who were to resonate with
most it's moms that are dealing with this, because there's

(47:22):
a lot of single moms out there dealing with their
kid being recruited and.

Speaker 2 (47:26):
How to deal with it.

Speaker 3 (47:27):
And ultimately you will see the story go to the
part where it's not about the money, it's not about
anything except the relationships and really just taking advantage of
the space you're in and also being nurtured and people
caring about what you are into. That'll make sense when
you watch it. But yeah, man, it's a great movie.
Everybody that's watched it say, I was surprised by the

(47:50):
comedy but also by the story.

Speaker 2 (47:53):
It just it's one of those that it'll tug on
those strings a little bit more than you would expect.

Speaker 1 (47:59):
No doubt, I'm gonna have to. I'm gonna take wife,
you to it. I don't know about the kids. The
kids if it's not action, but not a lot not
you know. You know right now they're big in the
zombies for and I got three girls. If they can't
dance to it, they're like, what are we doing? You know?
But my son is locked in, So I think I

(48:20):
think wife and my son and go see because that
man is he's like, yo, you know, granddad was a
football player. Dad's a footele player. I'm a football player,
but there's other sports and that go be a doctor,
be a lawyer. But anyways, I appreciate you for stopping
on the pod. I know I done kept you longer
than I'm in too. But everything you do, Bro, it's
legendary you these side these side missions.

Speaker 2 (48:41):
Bro, you're dude.

Speaker 3 (48:43):
You retire, it's gonna be so much stuff that come
at you, and you've gotta have to figure out what
I what you're taking like and as things I don't
I don't turn anything away, like let me see it,
let me read, and then I just say yes or no,
like it is what it is. And I think people
appreciate that because I feel like football prepared me for everything.

(49:06):
And I'd be damn if I'm not gonna look at
everything that I want to look at and take advantage
of it if it makes sense for.

Speaker 1 (49:13):
Sure, he ain't you willing to do the work? Signing
Tony Raymond this week? I'm excited. I'm excited just to
